:00:53. > :00:52.COMMENTATOR: Mark Selby will be over University.

:00:53. > :01:12.COMMENTATOR: Mark Selby will be over the

:01:13. > :01:16.COMMENTATOR: Mark Selby will be over first time. STUDIO: Is Mark Selby

:01:17. > :01:21.feeling that this evening? Very good evening and welcome to highlights of

:01:22. > :01:24.the 2016 World Championships, we have had another super Saturday,

:01:25. > :01:43.with Mark Selby looking to book his place in the last eight.

:01:44. > :02:34.Mark Selby against Sam Baird from Devon, making his second appearance

:02:35. > :02:39.at the Crucible, he won his first ever match last week against Michael

:02:40. > :02:47.White. Mark Selby led 11-7 when we left the match earlier in the

:02:48. > :02:48.evening. Sam Baird won the next two frames, and now we will show you

:02:49. > :03:00.what happened after that. COMMENTATOR: What a shot. If it

:03:01. > :03:06.slows up he will have a chance of the yellow to the middle. You would

:03:07. > :03:15.think he has enough angle to stun down for the red at the top cushion.

:03:16. > :03:23.That is a good pot. He is thinking about the snooker. Nice angle on the

:03:24. > :03:27.yellow to stun down, that has got to be the way to play. Well played.

:03:28. > :03:41.Superb shot. He is a bit straight. To think of

:03:42. > :03:46.moving the black and screwing into the black. If he had a side angle

:03:47. > :03:51.that might be a possibility, but these pockets are very difficult and

:03:52. > :03:58.long the cushion. A couple of big shots. I would favour the black and

:03:59. > :04:02.leaving myself a good angle, but I would rather have more angle than

:04:03. > :04:08.this. You would like to play the black in such a way that if it did

:04:09. > :04:13.not go in it would stop the red being possible, but now he will have

:04:14. > :04:18.to fully commit to this. He will have to play this with more pace

:04:19. > :04:24.than he would have liked. Just off the cushion, you have got to be so

:04:25. > :04:30.accurate. He could not have played it better. APPLAUSE

:04:31. > :04:37.Could not have played it any better. He made it look easy. They always do

:04:38. > :04:43.when they go in. There was pressure on that. He has got to be careful.

:04:44. > :04:53.Because I think he would like to go up for the blue. The pace he puts

:04:54. > :05:02.into the shot, the more it makes the red missable. Three points behind.

:05:03. > :05:05.He campaigned with top spin and right-hand side for the black, but

:05:06. > :05:13.he is playing the screw shot, and that pace, as you rightly say, it is

:05:14. > :05:27.missable. The danger of missing it with pace. It needs good cueing and

:05:28. > :05:32.this black. -- on. He did that beautifully and now it needs to run

:05:33. > :05:36.past the blue. He is looking for a straight yellow, but he has not got

:05:37. > :05:50.it, can he reach without using the rest? He looks as cool as a

:05:51. > :05:57.cucumber. He looks calm and cool on the top, but the feet are going 100

:05:58. > :06:06.mph under the water might a duck. -- like. So far he is playing well

:06:07. > :06:11.under pressure. Oh! That is the problem, you are stretching. You

:06:12. > :06:17.have got to ask the question, do you get right in line with the shot? Ami

:06:18. > :06:24.times do we see that, when the player puts the extension and the

:06:25. > :06:32.end of their cue? -- how many times. We see that so often. So, Mark

:06:33. > :06:37.Selby, five points behind. He has a chance of this yellow, the brown

:06:38. > :06:40.will be the cable in this frame. Both players need it -- will be the

:06:41. > :07:01.key ball. Great pot. What is on? It is a bit

:07:02. > :07:10.thinner than he would have liked. Can he pot the green and cannon for

:07:11. > :07:18.the brown? He needs the pink, of course. He timed it so well.

:07:19. > :07:25.Excellent shot. Lovely shop that is. -- shot. He got the link in play, a

:07:26. > :07:31.quick glance at the scoreboard, the points are level -- he got the pink

:07:32. > :07:40.in play. This brown, if he is going to get good and be blue with pace,

:07:41. > :07:48.this is no gimme -- if he is going to get good on the blue with pace.

:07:49. > :07:56.It was never a gimme at that pace. It is running on the Sam Baird. He

:07:57. > :08:04.now needs brown, blue and pink, to get within one. Never easy, those.

:08:05. > :08:07.If you have your hand on the table. But what a chance now for the young

:08:08. > :08:24.man. So, now, all about position from

:08:25. > :08:28.blue to pink. He has a natural angle to cut the blue into the middle and

:08:29. > :08:32.he will come off the baulk cushion and it is all about judging the

:08:33. > :08:41.pace. I think the line is guaranteed. Judging the pace. He

:08:42. > :08:51.needs it to run for the middle. It is perfect! APPLAUSE

:08:52. > :09:03.He has the momentum now. Mark Selby had a few chances, but Sam Baird is

:09:04. > :09:12.now right back in it, just one behind, 11-10. STUDIO: Into the next

:09:13. > :09:21.frame, Sam Baird is to play, and he is behind. COMMENTATOR: By dating he

:09:22. > :09:24.will be playing the pot, just the containing safety, I would have

:09:25. > :09:29.thought -- I don't think he will be playing the pot. He has not left

:09:30. > :09:34.anything easy, that is the only thing you can say for that. Well,

:09:35. > :09:42.although it is not easy, Mark might be tempted into taking the difficult

:09:43. > :09:46.red into the left-hand centre, playing it as a screw shot with

:09:47. > :09:52.right-hand side, checking the cue ball off the side cushion and the

:09:53. > :10:04.baulk cushion for the corner pocket. Tough shot but a great shot. Yes.

:10:05. > :10:15.That is a good pot. No position, but a chance to put Sam Baird in lots of

:10:16. > :10:29.trouble. Now, how do you get this safe? You just feel that if Mark

:10:30. > :10:37.gets the chance for the next red, he will clinch the frame. OK, he needs

:10:38. > :10:50.three of the remaining reds but two of those are nicely in the open. I

:10:51. > :11:02.can't see one at red which it can make contact with. That would not

:11:03. > :11:07.leave a pot on. Is it hit and hope time? Certainly faced with a very

:11:08. > :11:43.tricky situation. I can see what he was thinking. Hit

:11:44. > :11:50.the red which is at this end of the table. I would be surprised if Mark

:11:51. > :11:57.takes this on. I know it cuts back but he's not guaranteed position on

:11:58. > :12:06.a colour. Maybe he feels in potting this it can run into the red on the

:12:07. > :12:13.left-hand side. -- he can. He can bring the red interplay, and as I

:12:14. > :12:23.say, it is clear the remaining five reds -- into play. I'm surprised he

:12:24. > :12:29.is taking this on. He did not get the can on and the red, but he took

:12:30. > :12:35.this on because he thought, if he makes it, he has a chance of winning

:12:36. > :12:48.the frame. -- he did not get the cannon on the red. He has now. He

:12:49. > :12:55.has played this nicely. 37 ahead, 59 remaining, and when he makes this

:12:56. > :13:01.red there will only be 51 remaining. He needs red, colour, red, to go

:13:02. > :13:10.within one frame of a place in the quarterfinal. This black will put

:13:11. > :13:22.him 45 points in front. With 51 remaining. It is no formality just

:13:23. > :13:28.yet. He has a slight angle but he is straighter than he would have liked.

:13:29. > :13:37.He has options. Maybe the deep screw across the table. He has a terrible

:13:38. > :13:43.contact there, terrible contact. The cue ball has gone nowhere because of

:13:44. > :13:50.that. The black jumps and that takes the pace out of the cue ball. Maybe

:13:51. > :14:02.tempted to play a double with a safety in mind. 45 in front with 51

:14:03. > :14:08.remaining, just needs this red. Yes. I don't think the red on the

:14:09. > :14:16.left-hand side, you can double. The one closest you can double. This one

:14:17. > :14:31.you certainly can. We will know before him if it is going in. Not

:14:32. > :14:36.there. Big favourite. But can't count your chickens in this game.

:14:37. > :14:42.Made sure he got a good cue there, Mark. There was a chance that he

:14:43. > :14:45.could leave a cross table double with the red on the left-hand side

:14:46. > :14:53.cushion and by getting such a good cue ball he made the shot

:14:54. > :15:06.impossible. That is a good reply from Sam, the safety shot. Yes, made

:15:07. > :15:19.it look easy. He was not to thick or thin. If he pots the red he will be

:15:20. > :15:54.further ahead. Did not want to risk the pot, took

:15:55. > :16:02.the opportunity to put the red safe. I would be surprised if Sam does not

:16:03. > :16:08.play safe office red that Mark has just pushed to the side cushion, it

:16:09. > :16:18.looks straightforward enough -- off this red. That is better than it

:16:19. > :16:24.could have been. The reason it was short, he did not want the red to go

:16:25. > :16:31.over to the other side. Mark might be tempted to pot this red, it is

:16:32. > :16:35.frame ball. The only red you could leave is the one that you are

:16:36. > :16:58.playing, and if it goes in it is a frame and. -- frame-winner.

:16:59. > :17:11.Playing no risk snooker. I don't know whether he thought of the

:17:12. > :17:16.cannon on the black. Not something you do, really. You would like to

:17:17. > :17:22.have the cue ball tight against the cushion. We mentioned cross double

:17:23. > :17:26.before. I'm wondering if it can avoid the yellow if he plays that

:17:27. > :17:35.way. Needs to rattle the jaws, and it didn't. Where is the red going to

:17:36. > :17:40.finish? If Mark Selby has an angle on this, it can play the double and

:17:41. > :17:50.bring the cue ball back to the top cushion. He will play at. He can

:17:51. > :18:04.still play the red near the brown spot.

:18:05. > :18:12.Is he going to play the double or just the safety? You don't want to

:18:13. > :18:23.inhibit yourself too much. Only need one more pot. Oh! He did play the

:18:24. > :18:28.double. It looked in for a moment, just a fraction out. I think he

:18:29. > :18:47.thought that was in. So did I. That was much to thick, if you are

:18:48. > :19:00.going to miss those you have got to her on the side of heating it --

:19:01. > :19:04.hitting it too thin. Interesting to see how he plays this, if he plays

:19:05. > :19:11.it with left-hand side and gets through it a bit quick he did hit

:19:12. > :19:51.the red a bit thick. Beautifully cued.

:19:52. > :19:59.So, with a lead of 46 points and just 42 remaining, Mark Selby looks

:20:00. > :20:04.to be one frame away from a place in the quarterfinal. STUDIO: He went on

:20:05. > :20:05.to win that frame, into the next, Sam Baird to play and there is no

:20:06. > :20:17.score. COMMENTATOR: He has played that very

:20:18. > :20:28.well, under the circumstances that was an excellent shot. The red near

:20:29. > :20:38.the right corner, that is gettable, even though it is a thin one. One of

:20:39. > :20:46.those type of shots, you hit that as thin as you can, but where the cue

:20:47. > :20:55.ball goes, it is anybody's guests. Taking it on and he needs to get it

:20:56. > :21:01.-- guests. He has got it. Is he going to be on a colour? The flick

:21:02. > :21:11.off the yellow and he will settle for that and the leg Trip To

:21:12. > :21:22.-- he will settle for that on the blue. The flick on the yellow slowed

:21:23. > :21:25.the cue ball down enough. It has not left in nicely on the blue, but on

:21:26. > :22:30.the blue. Not certain where the pink will go

:22:31. > :22:42.when it is re-spotted. I do think he's worried about things like that

:22:43. > :22:47.at the moment. -- I don't think. We have not seen Mark Selby at his

:22:48. > :22:54.best. Like Hoover, when he who was the balls up, that is what he will

:22:55. > :23:04.be of right now. -- when he Hoover 's the balls up. Get as many as you

:23:05. > :23:14.can. Has he hampered himself? Can he cue passed this red? Is a bit

:23:15. > :23:30.careless if it can't. It was a bit heavy. That was a kick. Just OK.

:23:31. > :23:41.If he can just cue passed the red... So, 69 is the target and he already

:23:42. > :23:51.has 20 of them, another 49 points for a place in the quarterfinal.

:23:52. > :23:58.Just a case of the second red, nicely. He will have to play a

:23:59. > :24:02.little cannon, just left of the pink. And hold the cue ball in the

:24:03. > :24:21.middle of the table. Could have worked out slightly

:24:22. > :24:26.better than that. He is on the red to the corner but the pink is not

:24:27. > :24:34.available. He's badly hampered with the red to the left of the one is

:24:35. > :24:41.straight on. Can he force this round the angles or can he stun for the

:24:42. > :24:48.pink in the opposite middle? That is what he has tried and he has played

:24:49. > :24:56.it absolutely perfect, great shot. What a shot that was, brilliant shot

:24:57. > :25:02.from Mark Selby. This is very impressive stuff. When he needed it

:25:03. > :25:20.most. What an incredible shot that was.

:25:21. > :25:33.Judge the cannon and beeping perfectly. -- judged the cannon on

:25:34. > :25:44.the pink perfectly. You can always tell when a player is doing well, no

:25:45. > :25:52.time for thinking. Sam Baird, sitting there wondering, has he

:25:53. > :25:55.played his last shot? It has to be said, there have been times in this

:25:56. > :26:06.match when he has had the world number one on the ropes. But he has

:26:07. > :26:09.played such an experienced competitor in Mark Selby, you have

:26:10. > :26:15.got to keep him on the ropes, and just a few chances that Sam has let

:26:16. > :26:23.go begging, it looks like they will cost him the match. One of the

:26:24. > :26:34.hallmarks of being an outstanding champion is handling the greatest of

:26:35. > :26:39.pressures in adversity. Mark Selby has done that time and time again.

:26:40. > :26:58.He's doing it again right now. Could not avoid the kiss and the

:26:59. > :27:06.second red. It has not worked out well. The potting angle is taking

:27:07. > :27:14.him away from the reds at this end. He is pointing where he probably

:27:15. > :27:20.finished, rolling the red into the bottom corner, leaving himself a

:27:21. > :27:25.middle distance red. I don't see any value in going for the straight

:27:26. > :27:35.blue, so just pot the pink. Playing with bottom. Easy going to try and

:27:36. > :27:43.come in and out of baulk? He is. He got a nudge on that. He will not be

:27:44. > :27:55.playing this red now, hampered as he is over the yellow. That is the end

:27:56. > :28:03.of the break for me. This red and the side of the table, surely too

:28:04. > :28:28.risky -- on the side. A good safety is the order of the day.

:28:29. > :28:40.Yes, he has played that well. The object ball on the side cushion.

:28:41. > :28:46.STUDIO: It was very tense in this one, and it is not over yet.

:28:47. > :28:51.COMMENTATOR: A glance at the scoreboard, pot the brown, he would

:28:52. > :29:03.be 23 points behind, with 18 remaining. Well, don't tell me he is

:29:04. > :29:05.going to pot the blue, I don't know why he wanted to get this close to

:29:06. > :29:24.the blue. No, right. And he's got the snooker

:29:25. > :29:29.behind the pink. Nice to see a little tap on the table from Mark

:29:30. > :29:37.Selby, even in the heat of battle, sportsmanship steel shining through.

:29:38. > :29:50.Fabulous touch from sunbed. Should be easy enough to hit off one

:29:51. > :30:03.cushion. But another chance to lay that snooker to type.

:30:04. > :30:12.There you see it, 5-point penalty would leave him 18 points behind

:30:13. > :30:18.with 18 remaining. And OK, if he potted the blue, one snooker on the

:30:19. > :30:20.pink to be able to win, but you want a couple of balls to snooker behind,

:30:21. > :30:53.not just one. Misjudged it. That's it, that is a tremendous pot.

:30:54. > :31:03.She knows now that the end, and so does sunbed. Unbelievable. Sunbed

:31:04. > :31:10.looked down and out, he dug in, battled hard, but when he got to

:31:11. > :31:17.11-11, the experience of Mark Selby came to the fore. He will run out a

:31:18. > :31:20.very relieved winner. You feel for sand bed, few chances that could

:31:21. > :31:28.have gone the other way but it's Mark Selby. Made hard work of it but

:31:29. > :31:33.he's in the quarterfinal. He wins 13-11. STUDIO: Delighted to say Mark

:31:34. > :31:39.Selby joins us. Many congratulations. I saw some of your

:31:40. > :31:45.body language, looking to the skies, very angry when chalking your cue,

:31:46. > :31:52.what happened? I lost my head a bit. Some bad bounces, as there have been

:31:53. > :31:55.throughout. My concentration seemed to be nonexistent. Whatever reason

:31:56. > :32:02.that was, I don't know, but I managed to regroup. No reason for

:32:03. > :32:08.the lack of concentration? Even during the season I can get zoned in

:32:09. > :32:16.but for whatever reason I lose focus quite easily, old age, I don't know.

:32:17. > :32:20.Fairplay to sunbed, he played well. I have rated in the years --

:32:21. > :32:25.Fairplay to Baird. He put me under pressure. When you've been in a

:32:26. > :32:29.situation like this, such a late night, does it help you in

:32:30. > :32:35.preparation for the next round? A little bit. Thankful just to get

:32:36. > :32:39.through, really. Just to get through is nice. Couple of days off now,

:32:40. > :32:44.back to the practice table to regroup and come back fresh. Mark

:32:45. > :32:51.Allen or Wilson, how is your luck against those two? I haven't played

:32:52. > :32:58.Wilson many times, I think I am about even with Mark. But whoever I

:32:59. > :33:01.play it will be a tough game. Got to ask about the table conditions, we

:33:02. > :33:06.saw Alan McManus and Ali Carter frustrated with their table, Mark

:33:07. > :33:11.Williams and Michael Holt complaining specifically about the

:33:12. > :33:16.bounce, your view? I don't know what it is. Even just throughout the

:33:17. > :33:20.season the tables have been like that, so inconsistent from one day

:33:21. > :33:23.to the next. I know they changed a set of balls a few years ago,

:33:24. > :33:29.whether it is that or not I am not sure. They are changing the tables,

:33:30. > :33:35.as soon as you finished, the fitters are working on them. There will be

:33:36. > :33:37.people watching saying, here we have snooker players once again

:33:38. > :33:41.complaining about conditions, it seems to happen in a lot of

:33:42. > :33:47.tournaments. It is frustrating, you can be really struggling, you win a

:33:48. > :33:50.frame and get momentum, play a safety shot, get in and have a bad

:33:51. > :33:55.bounce through no fault of your own, and you cannot allow for that. I

:33:56. > :33:59.played in the UK against Neil when the table was playing like that and

:34:00. > :34:03.at some point I was trying to play for the bounce because I was

:34:04. > :34:07.expecting it more times than not. Some people say you are just putting

:34:08. > :34:13.it down to the table and maybe it is about your performance. No it's not.

:34:14. > :34:16.It is the same for both players, I understand that, but it is

:34:17. > :34:22.frustrating, it is not just me, it is happening to everybody else. Sam

:34:23. > :34:26.had some shots with bad bounces to run out of position. Frustrating

:34:27. > :34:31.more than anything else. Many congratulations and thanks to Mark

:34:32. > :34:37.Selby for joining us. Looking to join him today Alan McManus and Mark

:34:38. > :34:40.Williams. Allan McGregor must won the first three frames against Ali

:34:41. > :34:46.Carter and he retained his lead, after the next two were shared.

:34:47. > :34:49.Several heavy kicks and bounces off the cushions, Carter fell 12-10

:34:50. > :34:53.behind after a terrible miscue on the black, but produced a fine break

:34:54. > :35:05.of 100 to prolong the much. But another missed shot from Carter

:35:06. > :35:13.enough for McManus to take the frame he needed to inflict a 13-11 defeat.

:35:14. > :35:19.Conditions are pretty difficult out there. Some of the kicks both of us

:35:20. > :35:27.had, the bounces, it became really tough. It's difficult to explain.

:35:28. > :35:31.The cue ball just finishes where it shouldn't. Meanwhile Michael Holt

:35:32. > :35:40.overcame his own difficulties on the table with this big bounce against

:35:41. > :35:49.Mark Williams. Later a brilliant shot helped Williams take an 11-6

:35:50. > :35:53.lead. After a re-rack, Holt replied with a brilliant opening red and a

:35:54. > :36:02.marvellous break of 120 to take the next two frames. But it was not

:36:03. > :36:13.enough as Mark Williams held on and won the match 13-8. Happy with the

:36:14. > :36:19.wind. Played quite good, except for the first session, I was pretty

:36:20. > :36:28.poor. Had a miracle to get out for- four, could have easily been 6-2,

:36:29. > :36:33.7-1 to him. Rather than getting frustrated, you can have a laugh

:36:34. > :36:42.about it. Some of the stuff going on out there was laughable. One of the

:36:43. > :36:51.score to bring you up-to-date with. Barry Hawkins leading 5-3 against

:36:52. > :36:56.Ronnie O'Sullivan. That is the first session, they resume tomorrow. Let's

:36:57. > :37:02.show you what is happening. Mark Selby was with us here. These are

:37:03. > :37:05.live pictures from the Crucible. You heard Mark Williams and Alan McManus

:37:06. > :37:09.complaining about the bounce, Mark Selby also said the performance of

:37:10. > :37:14.the table, the cushions are being changed right now, hopefully we will

:37:15. > :37:17.see an improvement tomorrow. We've seen to veterans go through to the

:37:18. > :37:22.quarterfinals, Mark Williams and Alan McManus. John Higgins hoping to

:37:23. > :37:27.join them, taking on Ricky Walden. We will show you what happened in

:37:28. > :37:35.the final frame with Higgins to play.

:37:36. > :37:49.COMMENTATOR: He will be on the practice table to stop that

:37:50. > :37:59.happening. John Higgins has made three out of the four. That was half

:38:00. > :38:04.handy, but he pushed the black off its spot. Pink is available,

:38:05. > :38:17.obviously. Got to play power off that black. Makes the shot that much

:38:18. > :38:25.more difficult. First time we've got half a bounce off the cushion. The

:38:26. > :38:32.table has not played well, but we should give them credit, the

:38:33. > :38:40.fitters. Got it back to normal. How they've done it, I don't know.

:38:41. > :38:45.Because these players are playing well, there is no tension in their

:38:46. > :38:50.arm, maybe that makes a bit difference. They are both cueing

:38:51. > :39:20.beautifully. We've hardly had any kicks, I can't remember one.

:39:21. > :39:28.Big target to get on a choice of rates, but that one did fly. That's

:39:29. > :39:33.the first one we've had fly off the cushion. That's gone about two feet

:39:34. > :39:38.further than John Higgins thought, you can see why he's shaking his

:39:39. > :39:46.head. Just look how it comes off the third cushion. Whoosh.

:39:47. > :39:50.No problem with the red, if he plays it slow he will finish virtually on

:39:51. > :40:15.top of the black. Not quite. He'd be very brave to

:40:16. > :40:38.take this black on. Is he going to go for this? Could

:40:39. > :40:46.play a very thin cut on the black with right-hand side, go past the

:40:47. > :40:54.reds down to the baulk area. Doesn't look like it, though. He's taking it

:40:55. > :40:59.on. You can't even start to think of how difficult the shop is. He was

:41:00. > :41:05.leaving everything on, if he missed it. All credit to you, John. There's

:41:06. > :41:22.many who would have played safe off that.

:41:23. > :41:31.Another very clever positional shot. He now knows this is a fabulous

:41:32. > :41:36.chance to take a two frame lead going into the second session. He's

:41:37. > :41:42.done all the hard work in this part of the break. Now he's got the pink

:41:43. > :41:43.and the black open. He'll be disappointed if he doesn't score

:41:44. > :42:37.enough to win the frame. This match is amazingly enough being

:42:38. > :42:44.played over three days. They play their second session at 2:30pm

:42:45. > :42:52.tomorrow, 7pm on Monday it finishes. Wouldn't it be great if they both

:42:53. > :42:55.kept in this kind of form. Ricky Walden shouldn't be disappointed

:42:56. > :42:59.with the way he has played this evening. Played poorly in the first

:43:00. > :43:22.game, but it was just about getting over the line.

:43:23. > :44:22.Virtually every little cannon has been played perfectly.

:44:23. > :44:36.John Higgins will definitely be taking a 5-3 lead into the second

:44:37. > :44:50.session. Now to try to finish with his fifth century of the tournament.

:44:51. > :44:59.If he makes it it will be the 50th century of the tournament. Still got

:45:00. > :45:41.a lot of big break-builders left in. Played a forcing screw, there. Try

:45:42. > :45:43.to get on two rates, missed the desired one but is perfect for the

:45:44. > :46:00.other one. -- two reds. John Higgins has done everything

:46:01. > :46:02.this evening apart from make a century. The way he's played he

:46:03. > :46:49.certainly deserves one. This is to take the lead in the

:46:50. > :46:57.centuries made by one person. To make his fifth at the Crucible this

:46:58. > :47:06.year. Very well done. Excellent. Very well done. Been a pleasure to

:47:07. > :47:08.watch and to commentate on. Both players almost at the top of their

:47:09. > :47:21.game. Ricky can only sit there and admire,

:47:22. > :47:31.really, because he's played well himself. Apart from his safety being

:47:32. > :47:40.a little bit poor. But in the balls he's looked exceptional. Magnificent

:47:41. > :47:49.. They will both be pleased with their night's work. Don't miss this

:47:50. > :47:52.one in the second session tomorrow. STUDIO: Excellent break from the

:47:53. > :47:57.four-time world champion, and that match resumes in the afternoon

:47:58. > :48:03.session. That's it from us, snooker extra follows us shortly on BBC One

:48:04. > :48:11.if you want some more action. We are back at 10am on BBC Two. A fantastic

:48:12. > :48:13.day of snooker to look ahead to. Goodbye for now.
