:01:45. > :01:50.The Rocket gets to fire. Welcome to the Crucible Theatre and the 2014

:01:51. > :01:53.death of the worlds Snooker championship. I hope you are

:01:54. > :01:57.comfortable on your sofa this morning. Ronnie O'Sullivan faces a

:01:58. > :02:20.crucial third and final session. Ronnie knew he needed a good start

:02:21. > :02:26.and he came out all guns blazing. He finished the frame. It was a century

:02:27. > :02:31.break for a few seconds until the white went into the centre pocket.

:02:32. > :02:37.He did what he needed to do. He won the opening frame. Joe Perry took

:02:38. > :02:47.the next two frames, showing great composure.

:02:48. > :02:56.Ronnie, with the 66 break, clinched the frame and he went on to make the

:02:57. > :03:03.Jurassic clearance on the colours, potted a very important yellow. That

:03:04. > :03:09.got him back to just one frame behind. One of the great

:03:10. > :03:15.characteristics Joe Perry shows with his matches is he has kept on again,

:03:16. > :03:21.and he'd so with breaks of 88 and 73. So much happened in the last

:03:22. > :03:27.frame, you could see the tension, both players knew how important it

:03:28. > :03:33.was. Joe went 6-10 ahead. He played a great shock of the pink when he

:03:34. > :03:42.didn't even Snooker O'Sullivan. O'Sullivan was delighted to close

:03:43. > :03:50.the session with 4-4. This would be one of the B -- this would be one of

:03:51. > :03:55.the big Crucible shots if Ronnie was beaten. He has not been beaten since

:03:56. > :04:01.2011 help when he lost in the quarterfinals to John Higgins. Ken

:04:02. > :04:06.Doherty trails Alan McManus 4-3 in his last match, that is on table to

:04:07. > :04:08.this morning. The one we are concentrating on this morning is

:04:09. > :04:17.Ronnie O'Sullivan taken on Joe Perry. Good morning. Welcome to a

:04:18. > :04:21.session of snooker, it will be so good it sells itself. Welcome to

:04:22. > :04:29.what we know will be a magnificent middle Saturday here in the World

:04:30. > :04:45.Championship. Legends of their game, one and all.

:04:46. > :04:52.Please welcome, first of all, a player producing the best snooker we

:04:53. > :04:58.have seen from him in almost a decade, 23 years after his debut, he

:04:59. > :05:02.beat four-time world champion John Higgins in the first wound. The

:05:03. > :05:06.former Masters winner has done it all week with a new tartan cruise,

:05:07. > :05:10.what a story for the pride of Scotland, here comes Alan the angles

:05:11. > :05:29.McManus. MUSIC: "Return of the Mack" by Mark

:05:30. > :05:34.Morrison. And his opponent, a man who is

:05:39. > :05:42.keep in touch in this match. It is his first time back in the second

:05:43. > :05:47.round here in eight years, proving he still has the magic. Winner of

:05:48. > :05:55.six titles, including the title here back in 90 97 the islands -- Irish

:06:27. > :06:35.elite. Semifinalist at the Welsh omen. -- open. He is back in the

:06:36. > :06:59.world top 16, here comes the gentleman, Joe Perry.

:07:00. > :07:08.And finally, welcomed the most exciting game -- player to grace the

:07:09. > :07:13.modern game, winner of 26 titles, he stormed to victory that the Masters

:07:19. > :07:29.world champion, blink and you will miss him, Ronnie the Rocket

:07:33. > :07:39.Should Better Himself" by George Lam.

:07:40. > :07:45.You could be watching one of the export stories breaking this morning

:07:46. > :07:51.if Ronnie O'Sullivan is dumped out of this match by Joe Perry. If you

:07:52. > :07:56.want Ken Doherty versus Alan McManus, that is available online,

:07:57. > :08:00.but now we are concentrating on Perry versus O'Sullivan. Good

:08:01. > :08:06.morning to our commentators. Good morning, Jason, good morning

:08:07. > :08:12.everybody. I think you have set it up absolutely perfect. It could be a

:08:13. > :08:27.classic final session for the second-round match.

:08:28. > :08:41.Match time coming up to the four hour mark. Joe Perry won the first

:08:42. > :08:49.session. 5-3. Ronnie levelled but Ronnie's pot success, 93%, 80%

:08:50. > :08:56.money. He have to raise that to 90% or above. And that is just the start

:08:57. > :09:03.he would have been looking for. A lovely red. A few balls struggling

:09:04. > :09:08.nicely. And he just about has an angle on the blue. Interesting

:09:09. > :09:15.session, Terry, Ronnie has two start producing. Interesting first shot as

:09:16. > :09:18.well. You saw the cue ball, it looks like it would not get past the blue

:09:19. > :09:38.but he struck it beautifully. There, you see he has just got an

:09:39. > :09:42.angle on the blue. He decided not to come down for the red stop I think

:09:43. > :10:04.the black is available. And in playing the black, he can

:10:05. > :10:10.play little cannon. You always have to be careful with the shot. With a

:10:11. > :10:14.kiss from black to read. This, of course, will make the black

:10:15. > :10:22.available into both corners but he just has to get this right. Well, he

:10:23. > :10:29.didn't play for the red to the right of the black. He used the red to put

:10:30. > :10:35.it off it. He will have to go for blue, or maybe the pink. He decided

:10:36. > :11:25.on the blue. A nice angle. He played it well.

:11:26. > :11:33.Everything is without effort, even his walk around the table. You

:11:34. > :11:39.mentioned yesterday, he felt he lost a little bit of control in one of

:11:40. > :11:48.the sessions but he does that every so often, he gets frustrated if he

:11:49. > :11:52.doesn't get excellence. Nice. None better in the game and that shot.

:11:53. > :11:57.Look at the cue ball, it is the red that comes back in. He doesn't

:11:58. > :12:00.played with a lot of pace, he just wanted get a couple of breadth into

:12:01. > :12:10.place. Never been in front in this match. Always been behind and at one

:12:11. > :12:16.time, three friends behind. -- three frames behind. When he had to reduce

:12:17. > :12:17.his deficit to one frame, Joe Perry has come out and won the next

:12:18. > :12:25.couple. Another cannon. Only just looking

:12:26. > :12:42.for a red to continue with. He may just have been a little

:12:43. > :12:49.unlucky there. He looked as though he would be on the red to the left

:12:50. > :12:53.middle. Hit them pretty well. But I don't think he is on anything. That

:12:54. > :12:57.is why he is having a look at the ball, way to leave the cue ball.

:12:58. > :13:14.Sometimes, the run on the ball, that can frustrate you.

:13:15. > :13:20.So, a good start but he will be a little bit disappointed with the cue

:13:21. > :13:24.ball, it should have been tight against the baulk cushion, he has

:13:25. > :13:40.left the chance of the pot for Joe Perry.

:13:41. > :14:07.That is one thing Joe Perry can do, he can put the ball. -- he can pot a

:14:08. > :14:12.ball. This is a big, big session, we talked about the demise of Ronnie

:14:13. > :14:21.but this is a great chance for Joe Perry to produce one of the results

:14:22. > :14:27.of his career. That has gone wrong. He knew it was running into the

:14:28. > :14:32.second red but he should have calculated it better. He is not on

:14:33. > :14:33.the black, as expected. So, that could be the end of break, unless he

:14:34. > :14:55.was to take on this very risky blue. He played a safety shot, and quite

:14:56. > :15:01.right as well. It would've been a hint of desperation if he had taken

:15:02. > :15:28.the blue on. Need for that. -- no need for that.

:15:29. > :15:34.Well, that is a good safety. Cue ball tight to the baulk cushion. Joe

:15:35. > :16:15.Perry needs a good safety now. Well, well, he's totally miss hit

:16:16. > :16:24.that. He left an easy red on and black is available. He tried to hit

:16:25. > :16:35.that red very thin and he courted much too thick. -- he caught it. It

:16:36. > :16:46.will be a tall order to win the frame of this visit. -- at this

:16:47. > :16:50.visit. He would like to be on the red that is closest to the pocket

:16:51. > :16:55.but I don't think he can get through to that. Whether the black is

:16:56. > :16:59.available now into the right corner, I am not so sure. It will be

:17:00. > :17:33.tight. But don't missed the red! He has

:17:34. > :17:40.made the most of his chances. He hasn't got the break skills of

:17:41. > :17:45.O'Sullivan, nobody has, really. He plays to a very high level here, he

:17:46. > :18:14.has put more pressure on Ronnie O'Sullivan.

:18:15. > :18:27.Once again, Bonnie has not played the best safety shot there. --

:18:28. > :18:32.Ronnie. He has had two chances now, Joe, and not made the most of it. He

:18:33. > :18:43.will be trying to redeem himself and take this on to certain.

:18:44. > :18:54.Now, has he got away with it? He may have done. Now, Ronnie can get

:18:55. > :18:56.through to this red. It is very straight. He may be able to pinch a

:18:57. > :19:15.bit and run around. Is he on the black? I think maybe

:19:16. > :19:20.just about. Important, I feel now, for Bonnie to win the frame at this

:19:21. > :19:26.visit. Joe Perry has had three decent chances. Well, the last one

:19:27. > :19:31.was tough. Prior to that, he had two very good chances to score. A very

:19:32. > :19:35.important opening frame, this morning. Ronnie now doesn't want to

:19:36. > :20:05.give him another chance. Just to red and black. Or a red and

:20:06. > :20:11.blue, in actual fact. A red and black. The black Bull put him 54

:20:12. > :20:20.points in front with just 51 remaining. So, that is just the

:20:21. > :20:28.start. A few loose safeties, it has to be said. It wasn't flawless

:20:29. > :20:33.snooker from Ronnie but the most important thing in this final

:20:34. > :20:36.session on this race to 13 was the first frame this morning. And now,

:20:37. > :21:31.that is in the bag. It doesn't matter about that. Joe

:21:32. > :21:39.Perry will be disappointed there. Two good chances but he got what he

:21:40. > :21:48.wanted, he won the first frame. Joe Perry now only needs -- leads by

:21:49. > :21:53.one. It is 9-8. Well, Terry, just the start that Ronnie wanted but not

:21:54. > :21:59.the start that Joe wanted. A few errors there but the only thing that

:22:00. > :22:04.matters is who won the frame. A very important frame. He would have been

:22:05. > :22:09.three frames behind at this stage. He is getting closer to the magic

:22:10. > :22:13.13, it has been tough for him. Let's have a look at a couple of mistakes.

:22:14. > :22:18.This was a good chance, he got a nice opening red. Basically, he is

:22:19. > :22:21.running through, must have thought he would catch the red and orbits

:22:22. > :22:25.then because that was a bit of a schoolboy error but this one,

:22:26. > :22:30.unforgivable, that is the type of shot you would never expect Job

:22:31. > :22:37.Terry to miss, the stun run-through. Of course, he had the scars of the

:22:38. > :22:47.two missed opportunities prior. And that in the end cost in the first

:22:48. > :22:56.frame. One mistake too many. So, Joe just waiting for Ronnie to return

:22:57. > :23:15.and Bonnie has come back. -- Ronnie. Another big frame coming up.

:23:16. > :23:28.He is continuing with the left-handed break off. I spoke to

:23:29. > :23:32.Ronnie about that a few times, he feels he can get more side on it

:23:33. > :23:38.playing its left-handed. He always believed you have to be this side of

:23:39. > :23:42.the baulk line to be -- to find a good place on the baulk cushion. He

:23:43. > :23:48.has lost the chance of a pot on here.

:23:49. > :23:58.And a good one it is. Fully committed there. He would have like

:23:59. > :24:18.to have stopped it. Joe Perry have to make sure, he

:24:19. > :24:22.obviously is thinking about it, but you cannot start thinking you have

:24:23. > :24:25.to make the most of every chance, it is not quite like that. It does help

:24:26. > :24:34.if you do but if you stop thinking it, you will be likely to miss. --

:24:35. > :24:40.if you start thinking it. He missed a few chances in the first frame

:24:41. > :24:46.which doesn't help your confidence. Missing that pink will be a real

:24:47. > :24:53.body blow. After the good opening red. And of course, Ronnie is the

:24:54. > :24:56.type of player, like all great champions, Terry, they will see that

:24:57. > :25:14.as a weakness and jump all over it. I think Ronnie is thinking about his

:25:15. > :25:18.own weaknesses at the moment. He was not happy with the way he played in

:25:19. > :25:23.the first two sessions. Not that he expected Joe Perry to play so well

:25:24. > :25:28.but Bonnie was not at his best. But these days, he tends to still win

:25:29. > :25:36.matches when he is not at his best. In years gone by, that may not have

:25:37. > :25:41.happened. Yes, it was a few years ago when nothing but his best

:25:42. > :25:47.pleased him. He used to get frustrated and it would show in his

:25:48. > :25:52.play. I have seen that a couple of times yesterday afternoon in the

:25:53. > :25:58.second session when I thought he lost a little bit of discipline. He

:25:59. > :26:07.was trying to make things happen. But that is what can happen when you

:26:08. > :26:13.are playing catch up. Going into the reds, looking for one to continue

:26:14. > :26:17.with. It could have come better. It had -- it could have come a lot

:26:18. > :26:21.better than that. He hit them well enough. He needed the cue ball to

:26:22. > :26:25.come away from the cushion. It looked like it would do it until the

:26:26. > :26:55.red came and nudged it back on there. A tough shot coming up.

:26:56. > :27:17.He doesn't like that red. He is taking the more difficult pot on.

:27:18. > :27:23.Well, I didn't think it was in until it dropped, to be honest with you.

:27:24. > :27:48.But he is nicely on the pink. A good chance.

:27:49. > :27:57.Steve Peter's has had a big effect on Bonnie's mind of the game on the

:27:58. > :28:00.table. No one has handed him perfection better than he has and

:28:01. > :28:13.that is what it is all about. He will never lose his skill.

:28:14. > :28:21.The cannon, but he slipped through the reds. Now, what is available? By

:28:22. > :28:32.the looks of it, nothing. He is playing safe.

:28:33. > :28:41.Just watch that again. He just wanted to catch that little bit

:28:42. > :28:46.fuller. I must say, he is a little unlucky to get the cannon and slide

:28:47. > :28:48.between the gap of the other two reds. But at least he gave the

:28:49. > :29:02.safety full concentration. Just a bit thick on that safety. He

:29:03. > :29:16.may not have left anything to tempt Ronnie to go for. I would expect him

:29:17. > :29:23.to play a better safety than that. Well, he is playing the pot.

:29:24. > :29:36.Super shot. What will please him is the long potting has been below

:29:37. > :29:46.standard for most of this match. He has put in a couple of nice ones

:29:47. > :29:50.already this morning. That is Richie Lowe for Ronnie O'Sullivan, 48%. 13

:29:51. > :30:07.out of 27 he has potted. Joe Perry hasn't disturbed the

:30:08. > :30:15.scoreboard too much this morning. He will have to get started. He is in a

:30:16. > :30:28.tough position here. He swerved it too much. He doesn't want to leave a

:30:29. > :30:34.free ball. And the first session there, you see the pot success of

:30:35. > :30:45.Ronnie. Just 29%. That was very long. And so far this morning, 100%.

:30:46. > :30:53.I think mid 60s is about right for longer potting. Obviously, if you

:30:54. > :30:58.are very long and with the attacking players today, that means that you

:30:59. > :31:13.are not taking advantage of slight safety errors from your opponent. I

:31:14. > :31:16.think Ronnie O'Sullivan is a bit like Stephen Hendry who rises

:31:17. > :31:22.heavily on that with the top players to beat them and get in and score

:31:23. > :31:26.them -- score with his long potting. It is very satisfying if you do. It

:31:27. > :31:39.gives you inspiration because you are taking risks with long pots.

:31:40. > :31:52.Missed again. Well Ronnie will have it put back now. Could he get

:31:53. > :31:56.through to hit a red? I don't think so. Just because he's trying the

:31:57. > :32:03.shot doesn't mean to say, does he get a warning? No, he obviously can

:32:04. > :32:19.hit any red. Swerving this to try and get a thin

:32:20. > :32:24.contact. He has got it this time and played it pretty well. But that was

:32:25. > :32:29.always the fear that he was going to knock the red towards the corner and

:32:30. > :32:33.that is what he has done. If Ronnie can pot this red and get a position

:32:34. > :32:46.on a colour, it could be the second frame of this morning.

:32:47. > :32:56.He has lost position a few times and that will affect him. Going back to

:32:57. > :32:59.the long potting, of course it is not just the numbers that count, it

:33:00. > :33:18.is how much you miss them by. If you're missing them by a

:33:19. > :33:23.distance, you're hitting slightly across the ball, or putting a bit of

:33:24. > :33:33.unintentional side on. It doesn't look as if Ronnie is on a colour.

:33:34. > :33:47.Taking the opportunity to put one of the colours out of commission. Gave

:33:48. > :34:00.that a bit of thought. In a spot of bother is Joe.

:34:01. > :34:07.That is as good a shot as he has played this morning. Well played.

:34:08. > :34:25.Good shot, Joe. Taking this one. There would be a

:34:26. > :34:31.good chance of a safety. He has got it slightly thick. One thing Ronnie

:34:32. > :34:36.has done well is when he has lost position, he has played a good

:34:37. > :34:38.safety from it. He hasn't rushed in and got disappointment. He seems to

:34:39. > :34:56.be in a better frame of mind today. There is a long pot that goes in for

:34:57. > :35:07.Joe. That is what I expect from Joe Perry. Very good potter.

:35:08. > :35:16.The problem is when you're 40-odd points in arrears, it is chipping

:35:17. > :35:26.away at that deficit. Before you can think about the frame.

:35:27. > :35:35.What you have got to ask yourself, if this was roles reversed, would

:35:36. > :35:47.you fancy O'Sullivan to clear up from here. The answer would be yes.

:35:48. > :35:56.I would fancy him to get back in the frame. To clear up, I don't know.

:35:57. > :36:00.The yellow is awkward. Joe wasn't happy with the contact there. So he

:36:01. > :36:21.asked for the cue ball to be cleaned.

:36:22. > :36:35.There is a few hurdles along the way here. But Joe Perry will be glad to

:36:36. > :37:24.be on the table. A chance to bring one of the awkward

:37:25. > :37:29.reds away from the side cushion. He didn't get into it fully enough. He

:37:30. > :37:36.wanted to guarantee his position on the colour.

:37:37. > :37:44.Oh! Well, Joe, you cannot miss these type of shots! You cannot make these

:37:45. > :38:18.mistakes at this level. Oh, he has missed the black! There

:38:19. > :38:21.you go - trying to get the cannon, took his eye off the pot. A lot off

:38:22. > :38:52.for Joe! -- let off for Joe. Well that could act in his favour. I

:38:53. > :39:10.don't think he played that shot. But it will bring the yellow into play.

:39:11. > :39:20.The yellow will come back up and go on its spot. It's hard work so far

:39:21. > :39:27.this morning for Joe. I wouldn't expect him to miss that. I know it

:39:28. > :39:41.is along the cushion. But such a good potter.

:39:42. > :39:48.Ronnie trying to put distance between cue ball and object ball and

:39:49. > :39:51.he has been very lucky there. He has left the yellow. But the green is a

:39:52. > :40:06.blocker. Very fortunate. Good hit there from Joe. And nearly

:40:07. > :40:31.got the snooker. Not quite. There's nothing quite like an

:40:32. > :40:37.exciting end to a frame when there is mistakes are made. Somebody's

:40:38. > :40:49.going to clear up if they have got a chance.

:40:50. > :41:06.Good pot, but he is not on the green.

:41:07. > :41:19.He could get snooker behind the brown which would give him

:41:20. > :41:23.initiative in the game. Well, he is not quite there. You can just bend

:41:24. > :42:06.it. Well he didn't get right in behind

:42:07. > :42:14.it. Foul. There is a foul there. I didn't quite see what happened. If

:42:15. > :42:22.it is a foul, I presume miss would be called. So let's have a look what

:42:23. > :42:33.happened here. I can only assume maybe Ronnie hit the brown or

:42:34. > :42:45.something, did he? Well, I didn't quite see the foul. I didn't see

:42:46. > :42:50.that myself. I presume he touched the brown. It is so important to get

:42:51. > :43:06.this greenback in the right position.

:43:07. > :43:18.Let's have another look at this. Maybe he thought it was a double

:43:19. > :43:25.hit, did he? Didn't look to hit the brown. Pushing the cue through, hit

:43:26. > :43:31.it there. Yes, the cue followed the white, so maybe it was a double hit.

:43:32. > :43:40.It is an unusual double hit from that situation. Yes, it was

:43:41. > :43:47.definitely half covered by the brown the top cushion. It's got to be so

:43:48. > :43:52.precise this. I sometimes wonder why they don't just ask the players to

:43:53. > :43:58.put them back, because you know they're the ones who seem to be

:43:59. > :44:03.having the final decision here. Well I think the player who played the

:44:04. > :44:09.shot knows exactly more or less where it is, give or take a tenth of

:44:10. > :44:13.a millimetre. I don't think you could hit it direct. He had to

:44:14. > :44:50.swerve it slightly. That is the line I would be

:44:51. > :44:59.thinking. He just clipped it. That was a bit fortunate and where is the

:45:00. > :45:01.cue ball going to finish? But it is safe enough. That is all you're

:45:02. > :45:15.hoping for. Nine points the difference. He has

:45:16. > :45:20.got a good line here. Pink and black were always going to be the

:45:21. > :45:38.snookering balls. Well, is it safe, or will this green

:45:39. > :45:59.cut in? It may just cutback into the pocket here. Nine points adrift.

:46:00. > :46:10.Decided not to risk it. Thought he was guaranteed a snooker and he was

:46:11. > :46:14.right. Calling the shots at the moment in this very important safety

:46:15. > :46:29.exchange. A very important frame, because both

:46:30. > :46:37.players have missed chances in this frame.

:46:38. > :47:19.Gone very quiet all of a sudden. Just the pink needed.

:47:20. > :47:27.The frame to Joe Perry. He missed a few chances, but Ronnie O'Sullivan

:47:28. > :47:38.won't be too happy. It has now gone two frames back again. 10-8 to Joe

:47:39. > :47:43.Perry. Yes, that will disappoint Ronnie to lose that frame. Joe Perry

:47:44. > :47:48.once again showed few signs of weaknesses. Particularly when he

:47:49. > :47:52.missed the pink in the middle. Ronnie just hasn't got complete

:47:53. > :47:59.control of the cue ball when he is in and making breaks. We usually see

:48:00. > :48:04.him so pin point accurate with his positional play. But Joe Perry made

:48:05. > :48:09.enough mistakes in that frame and Ronnie had enough chances. OK,

:48:10. > :48:15.Ronnie's long potting has improved from the first session. But he will

:48:16. > :48:21.be disappointed to have let that frame slip. That was his first shot

:48:22. > :48:28.of the morning. Nicely aimed, clean as a whistle. As I say, something

:48:29. > :48:32.that will please him and this was another terrific one. He didn't get

:48:33. > :48:40.position on the colour. As with this one. Finished up on a colour and in

:48:41. > :48:45.the end finished up losing that frame and with the opportunities and

:48:46. > :48:50.chances he had, a few that were given him by his opponent, then

:48:51. > :48:55.disappointed. But he keeps getting within one frame and then Joe pulls

:48:56. > :49:01.away again. And with the target being 13, for a place in the second

:49:02. > :49:09.round, he needs to close that gap sooner rather than later. So sit is

:49:10. > :49:13.on him at the moment, the defending champion. Two more frames to be

:49:14. > :49:21.played before the mid session interval. They're all important, but

:49:22. > :49:57.these two are very big. And Ronnie still not firing on all cylinders.

:49:58. > :50:25.Oh, well there's a fluke! Nothing you can do about that. And he is

:50:26. > :50:29.just about on the yellow. But as we all know, if you have a bit of luck,

:50:30. > :51:42.take advantage of it. Ronnie O'Sullivan, if he goes on to

:51:43. > :51:51.win the frame, that fluke would be very important in Joe Perry's mind.

:51:52. > :51:59.We have seen rrn enough to know that he hasn't really started great. --

:52:00. > :52:22.Ronnie O'Sullivan. But a flick of the switch and he is off to go.

:52:23. > :52:31.It is a frightening atmosphere players like this, they play so

:52:32. > :52:38.quick. As Rob Walker says, blink and you miss it.

:52:39. > :52:44.He needs to run past the black. He has just about done it. He overhit

:52:45. > :52:58.that slightly. Just over run the position again. He

:52:59. > :53:06.will have to play the cannon here, you feel.

:53:07. > :53:14.He is OK, he has got a red to continue and he has finish on it

:53:15. > :53:16.nicely. This is a great opportunity for Ronnie to take full advantage of

:53:17. > :53:28.that fluke red. But when you get a bit of luck,

:53:29. > :53:40.don't apologise. Just take the opportunity.

:53:41. > :53:47.This was that fluke again. He had to play it thick to avoid the red on

:53:48. > :53:49.the right hand side of the table, never imagining one would go into

:53:50. > :54:05.the corner. But it did. I think the pink spot is in the

:54:06. > :54:32.open. He is looking after this pink. He

:54:33. > :55:00.still needs three reds to get past the winning line.

:55:01. > :55:06.Decided to flay cannon and -- play the cannon and he is nicely on the

:55:07. > :55:14.red. This blue and one more red will get

:55:15. > :55:44.him to the snooker required stage. Joe Perry will be thinking how

:55:45. > :55:46.unlucky he was not to get a chance in this frame and I would agree with

:55:47. > :56:05.him. But that is snooker. It is so difficult to sit out and

:56:06. > :56:21.watch this for Joe Perry. But for everybody else, they love it.

:56:22. > :56:46.When he is on his game, he is brilliant to watch.

:56:47. > :56:55.Well, it is a pity the black didn't go in. But it started with a fluke,

:56:56. > :57:06.but he made the most of it and he is one frame behind again. 10-9 Joe

:57:07. > :57:10.Perry. It always makes me laugh when people say that was a great break,

:57:11. > :57:14.although he fluked the first red, he still had to get the others. But if

:57:15. > :57:19.he doesn't fluke the first red, you don't know what would are happened.

:57:20. > :57:28.So Ronnie took advantage of his good fortune. He had to avoid the red on

:57:29. > :57:34.the right and it worked out in his advantage. Well the great thing

:57:35. > :57:39.about Snook Serce is you have no -- snooker is you have got no controls

:57:40. > :57:44.of balls when it has gone. He has no control of fluke. Other times the

:57:45. > :57:50.balls don't go for you. He did take advantage. It is the speed he does

:57:51. > :57:56.it in. That is what is disturbing as his opponent. That frame took just

:57:57. > :57:58.over seven minutes. So there is a mid session interval after this

:57:59. > :58:31.frame. Can Ronnie level? Everything points to Ronnie

:58:32. > :58:33.O'Sullivan levelling. But he has set up the reds again and anything could

:58:34. > :58:47.happen. I have to say in one way what

:58:48. > :58:51.happened in the previous frame with Ronnie having a fluke, it is better

:58:52. > :58:57.for Joe Perry than if Joe Perry lost the frame with a few shots that he

:58:58. > :59:29.missed. That is what affects you the most.

:59:30. > :59:50.The only red he can get to is the one on the right. If he was to stun

:59:51. > :59:52.that in and leave the cue ball where the red is, he would have a chance

:59:53. > :00:12.of the black. Great pot! Great pot! Knew it was

:00:13. > :00:13.always going to be close to the side cushion and the black was never

:00:14. > :00:53.going to be easy. Does he see any future in this

:00:54. > :01:04.black? He its having a look to see what he can get. Good control from

:01:05. > :01:12.Andy Sullivan. Sometimes, when you look at a long pot, it is hard to

:01:13. > :01:19.control. You won't see him do that very often, refuse a shop like that.

:01:20. > :01:24.But as you say, good control, self-control, and he knows the

:01:25. > :01:31.importance of this frame. Can he get back on?

:01:32. > :02:11.This looks dangerous side to come down to me. I can't believe he

:02:12. > :02:16.didn't ink about trying to play the red near the top cushion. That was

:02:17. > :02:29.fraught with danger, coming down that side. So, here is a chance Joe

:02:30. > :02:30.Perry now. Two frames up again but more importantly, a mid-session

:02:31. > :02:57.interval for Ronnie to stew over. He doesn't seem to be losing his

:02:58. > :03:11.composure, Joe. He looks and control out there,

:03:12. > :03:45.which is good. Lose control of your mind, you've got nothing.

:03:46. > :04:14.He played that nicely. He played for two reds.

:04:15. > :04:20.I don't think he was happy with the bounce of the cushion. There was a

:04:21. > :04:28.little bit of a jump when cue ball met object ball. He is not perfect

:04:29. > :04:32.on this black by any means. He has got the natural angle on the black

:04:33. > :04:40.to play for the red along the top cushion but that red will be tricky.

:04:41. > :04:50.And he will want to play for it. No, he won't. So, I presume he has

:04:51. > :04:57.played to the -- for the red macro to the left middle. It looks like he

:04:58. > :05:13.is playing it in the middle. Now, a poor positional shot off the

:05:14. > :05:19.black. Well, it is the thin cut but Ronnie may not play it. Let's look

:05:20. > :05:21.at Joe's miss again. That was all caused because he and hit a

:05:22. > :05:43.positional shot from black to red. He has gone for the cut. It needs to

:05:44. > :05:48.bounce off the cushion. Just enough to give him a chance of putting the

:05:49. > :06:05.black and getting into those bunch of reds.

:06:06. > :06:13.He has brought one or two reds out, right from the middle. The red at

:06:14. > :06:23.the top of the path may go to the left corner.

:06:24. > :06:33.I don't think he played for the pink. I am sure he didn't. , so,

:06:34. > :06:41.blue, it has helped the path of the blue. There is plenty of room to

:06:42. > :06:53.come in and out of baulk. Playing the cannon. He needs to catch it

:06:54. > :06:59.bullish. It didn't. It has opened it up slightly. I think he had just

:07:00. > :07:02.about got the angle. But, boy, you've got to be accurate with this

:07:03. > :07:06.if you are playing with any kind of pace. And there is not much of an

:07:07. > :07:25.angle, looking at it. Play did brilliantly. Didn't do a

:07:26. > :07:32.lot with the cue ball. He knew how difficult the pot was. There is one

:07:33. > :07:36.red sticking out of that little line of four. If he can pot the black,

:07:37. > :07:47.cannon this red in the little of the table. He got the cannon.

:07:48. > :08:05.Not out of the woods just yet. You saw him take a deep breath

:08:06. > :08:12.disappointing. He feels the pressure, like everybody else does.

:08:13. > :08:19.They say we are all human, we all like to be loved and we all get

:08:20. > :08:35.wrecked in the main, John. -- we all got wet. -- we all get wet. A tricky

:08:36. > :08:40.little shot, this. Any more pace, and I don't think it would have gone

:08:41. > :08:42.in. But he played it lovely and he is nicely on the red and if the

:08:43. > :08:48.paint is available into the middle, it makes it a little bit easier for

:08:49. > :08:51.position. But he could stun over for the black. Just one point behind

:08:52. > :09:05.now. Big frame, this, one of the biggest

:09:06. > :09:14.frames in the match, because we are getting near the business end.

:09:15. > :09:25.Oh, dear me, what was that? How on earth can you miss ball like that

:09:26. > :09:31.from so much distance? Lack of concentration? You can't believe

:09:32. > :09:36.that at this stage of the match, and such an important frame, but that is

:09:37. > :09:44.what it looked to be. What a let off for Joe Perry. Can he now make the

:09:45. > :09:55.most of it? He mustn't have even looked at the red.

:09:56. > :10:11.Unbelievable, the things that can happen.

:10:12. > :10:20.That herself admits was unbelievable. The shock. It is the

:10:21. > :10:25.unexpected that is the hardest to put up with. Puts him ten points in

:10:26. > :10:55.front. A quick glance at the school board,

:10:56. > :11:12.16 points in the lead. If he had played for the black, he

:11:13. > :11:21.would need the black in the yellow but now he is playing for the blue,

:11:22. > :11:26.he needs yellow and green. So, if is not just a case of rolling this

:11:27. > :11:30.yellow in. If he only needed big yellow, that is what he would have

:11:31. > :11:57.done. He has to get back up for the green.

:11:58. > :12:38.Joe Perry has done well here. He had to make the balls under extreme

:12:39. > :13:00.pressure, like all the players. He still leads by two frames. 11-9.

:13:01. > :13:06.Joe Perry maintained his to frame advantage. I said it was going to be

:13:07. > :13:13.thrilling. Steve Davis joins me. They picked up from when they left

:13:14. > :13:16.off less today evening. It looks for all the world as if Ronnie

:13:17. > :13:19.O'Sullivan would produce a 3-1 mini session and get back to level but

:13:20. > :13:24.all of a sudden, when it looked like he had done all the hard work, he

:13:25. > :13:29.was on it, all of a sudden, he moved his head to the right to check on

:13:30. > :13:34.the colours, got back down again and Mr shot. And, what you need to do,

:13:35. > :13:41.if you do have your mind take another shot, you should get again

:13:42. > :13:44.and take the start -- start the process again. I think Ronnie

:13:45. > :13:49.O'Sullivan but he was definitely going to pot the ball. It is the

:13:50. > :13:52.type of thing that you would tell a kid, OK, you are not sure what you

:13:53. > :13:58.are going to do. Stand up, approached the shot again, as if it

:13:59. > :14:02.is a separate shop. Like in cricket, you are taught if you're not happy

:14:03. > :14:07.with the field as a bowler, you stop your runner-up and you say to the

:14:08. > :14:11.umpire, I am going to start again. The same with golf. You are lined up

:14:12. > :14:17.with a shot, you change mind that the shot, you see the Gulf of very

:14:18. > :14:19.often get back up again, stand behind the line of very often get

:14:20. > :14:24.back up again, stand behind the line-up is shot and go through the

:14:25. > :14:27.whole an error. He could have got the shot and it wouldn't have made a

:14:28. > :14:34.difference but in hindsight, a big error. Joe Perry is still in front

:14:35. > :14:37.and that is crucial. That frame was enormous because Joe Perry is now

:14:38. > :14:42.very close to the finishing line certainly to the one on the Hill.

:14:43. > :14:45.Ronnie O'Sullivan, he will realise he has thrown away a golden

:14:46. > :14:49.opportunity to turn it around in the first session. It is getting more

:14:50. > :14:52.critical for him to not make mistakes. Joe Perry will be buoyed

:14:53. > :14:58.up by the fact that he produced a very good claimants when needed and

:14:59. > :15:01.once again, Joe Perry is getting confirmation and affirmation that he

:15:02. > :15:05.is producing, when needed, in the biggest of all, against the greatest

:15:06. > :15:09.players that have ever been, you cannot get more confidence than

:15:10. > :15:16.that. Is there an upset on the cards? Yes, that was the biggest

:15:17. > :15:20.moment but he still has to get over the line. We saw last night, little

:15:21. > :15:25.did have trouble getting over the line in the last frame. There still

:15:26. > :15:31.will be the opportunity for the player to baulk at the finishing

:15:32. > :15:36.line. Thank you. Let's turn our attention to the other match taking

:15:37. > :15:41.place this morning. Between Ken Doherty and the last remaining

:15:42. > :15:50.Scottish play here at the 2014 death bed world Snooker championship. We

:15:51. > :16:38.are going to pick up the lead now. -- against Alan McManus.

:16:39. > :16:47.He managed to sort another one out. My seat on the green. I don't know

:16:48. > :17:13.if he can cut the blue in as well. But certainly nice on the green.

:17:14. > :17:20.Loads of reverse side there to take the cue ball wide. He can pick the

:17:21. > :17:39.pink or blue, whichever he wants. When Alan McManus went 4-1 in front,

:17:40. > :17:47.he was probably thinking, I will be careful now, expecting to take on

:17:48. > :18:14.full -- from 4-1. And it went little bit quiet.

:18:15. > :18:18.Not a bad chance here, even though the black is tied up. Just

:18:19. > :18:34.concentrate on the pink. It is great to see Alan McManus back

:18:35. > :18:38.again. He struggled for quite a few seasons but it has been looking good

:18:39. > :18:45.for the last couple of seasons in the qualifiers. He has started to

:18:46. > :18:50.produce the Snooker that he used to do throughout the 1980s. He was one

:18:51. > :18:56.of the toughest players in the game to beat. He spoiled Stephen Hendry

:18:57. > :19:03.pot run in the Masters. Stephen had won five in a row and beat him in

:19:04. > :19:19.the final. Stephen was going for his sixth Masters title.

:19:20. > :19:42.Clearly, Alan is going to struggle to win the game at this visit.

:19:43. > :20:02.Tried to leave an angle in the pink so he could screw onto the red but

:20:03. > :20:11.once again, I think it is a little bit too straight to do that.

:20:12. > :20:26.Oblivious no good because he cannot get onto the blue. This extension

:20:27. > :20:33.gets a bit of use. He has put it down three times already. I wish

:20:34. > :20:35.they had had those around when I was playing. I was useless with the

:20:36. > :20:50.rest. It would have been so helpful. I've remember when the first

:20:51. > :20:54.expansion ever came out, the commentator and a great player, Jim

:20:55. > :21:01.Eder Croft, used to work with the BBC, Q plus, it was called, you

:21:02. > :21:06.stuck it on the end of your cue and that was the very first extension.

:21:07. > :21:20.It hasn't done all that well the last couple of years. If you are

:21:21. > :21:21.watching, Jim, all the very best. We used to practice together with Alex

:21:22. > :21:44.Higgins. He was trying to click that red. Jim

:21:45. > :21:48.stayed with me in Leicester for a couple of years. I don't think I

:21:49. > :21:50.have ever seen a player able to get more side on a ball than him.

:21:51. > :21:58.Unbelievable shot. No attempt at the pot there, just

:21:59. > :22:28.trying to get the safety shot. That type of shot really tests your

:22:29. > :22:34.cue action. I don't think he has got away with it, this red passes the

:22:35. > :22:38.green, if he has got an angle, he can now play a cannon. He doesn't

:22:39. > :22:48.have to play a cannon but he can get past the pink ball one of the reds.

:22:49. > :23:05.In fact, this red pots. If he had an angle, he would love to cannon into

:23:06. > :23:15.the red. He might just have that. If he forces it in and one the white

:23:16. > :23:16.down. Oh, what a shot. What a shot. That is why they call him angles

:23:17. > :24:01.McManus. It is a key frame, this opening

:24:02. > :24:12.frame. It should have been the last frame of the opening session, but

:24:13. > :24:18.they only managed to play seven. He won four straight frames, did Alan.

:24:19. > :24:26.Ken took two in a row. So, this is key for Alan to establish a two

:24:27. > :24:33.frame advantage again. He is already 21 in front. He just needs the black

:24:34. > :24:37.so he won't be trying to get right up to the yellow, just make sure and

:24:38. > :24:46.give yourself a long pot of the yellow. Had he has needed the

:24:47. > :24:50.yellow, he would have played the reverse side to get closer to the

:24:51. > :24:53.yellow. Another glance at the scoreboard, he is 28 ahead. 27 on

:24:54. > :25:12.the table. No attempt at the pot there. Trying

:25:13. > :25:18.Snooker, Alan McManus has established a two frame advantage.

:25:19. > :25:28.Into the next frame, McManus back at the table, trailing by two points.

:25:29. > :25:36.He has two power this in, to get it back towards the pink. -- he has to

:25:37. > :25:48.power this in. There are a couple of reds or

:25:49. > :25:49.certainly one red available into the left corner if he puts the pink. It

:25:50. > :26:08.is just a of the black spot. That nice little cannon has made

:26:09. > :27:08.three reds available. 12 points in front, he will be

:27:09. > :27:17.reluctant to play in the black. He will definitely try and keep the

:27:18. > :27:21.pink in his eye line. These five reds are still pottable from the

:27:22. > :28:20.pink. He can get into a position where he wins the frame here.

:28:21. > :28:34.Another excellent positional shot from Alan, there. He might play the

:28:35. > :28:40.one to the right hand pocket. You can't do an awful lot with the cue

:28:41. > :28:46.ball, screw back to the red for the same pocket. But you don't want to

:28:47. > :29:04.be straight on the pink. That is his next problem. Played it nicely.

:29:05. > :29:12.He lost the cue ball there. That was a pull shot. -- that was a pull

:29:13. > :29:37.shot. The break comes through at 35.

:29:38. > :29:43.Looked like he would win the frame for that. Ken trying to bring the

:29:44. > :29:46.black into play, but you have to be careful with that red in the middle.

:29:47. > :30:32.It could be in the way. There it is. A very bad shot.

:30:33. > :30:39.Got to watch the brown with his sleeve there. The referee there,

:30:40. > :31:13.eagle-eyed. He needs two more reds and two

:31:14. > :32:13.colours. That is a better shot. The frame is safe. The pink to make

:32:14. > :32:30.absolutely sure. Left himself a possible double here.

:32:31. > :32:32.It is a good start for Alan McManus here to opened up a three-frame

:32:33. > :32:48.advantage. Ken nods to concede the frame and

:32:49. > :32:53.Alan McManus has taken the two frames and is now 6-3 in front. If

:32:54. > :33:01.you want to continue watching that match, it is available on the red

:33:02. > :33:07.button, and on the BBC web-site. However, here on BBC Two our live

:33:08. > :33:13.match is Joe Perry taking on Ronnie O'Sullivan. Perry leads 11-9. It is

:33:14. > :33:24.the first to 13. The pressure is very much on. Let's rejoin our

:33:25. > :33:29.commentary team of John Virgo and Terry Griffiths. Both players are

:33:30. > :33:34.back. The match will be played to a finish here and now. The reason it

:33:35. > :33:39.is a two-frame deficit for Ronnie O'Sullivan was this red, just wasn't

:33:40. > :33:46.comfortable on it and probably should have give it an extra second

:33:47. > :33:52.or two thought. But it is behind him now as Joe Perry breaks off.

:33:53. > :33:57.Looking for two more frames for a place in the quarter final and a

:33:58. > :34:39.big, big upset. He is giving this plenty of thought.

:34:40. > :34:43.It must be difficult. He is trying to get back to the baulk end and he

:34:44. > :35:01.has to catch it right. Played the thick one. Well, he has

:35:02. > :35:08.got a good cue ball. A little tap on the table from Joe Perry as we go

:35:09. > :35:17.past the five-hour mark. Ronnie O'Sullivan came in a short priced

:35:18. > :35:21.favourite to win the title. It is getting near the winning line in

:35:22. > :35:32.this match and the form book is out of the window.

:35:33. > :35:45.Just a bit pacy and Ronnie has been left a chance of a long red. And he

:35:46. > :35:47.may decide in playing the red to play a little cannon on the two reds

:35:48. > :36:04.to the right of the black. Well, he decided to play with a

:36:05. > :36:13.little bit of left-hand side to check, the cue ball needs to slow

:36:14. > :36:19.up. He knows now he can't afford any more unforced errors. Just went in.

:36:20. > :36:31.The side threw it a little bit wide. When twe looked back at that red he

:36:32. > :36:35.missed in the last frame, he was playing it before he decided what he

:36:36. > :37:08.was going to do with the cue ball. So this is what he was looking for

:37:09. > :37:31.first chance, can he make the most of it?

:37:32. > :37:46.He will wait for a better angle possibly. The black available to

:37:47. > :37:51.both corner pockets. There is a red next to the pink and he can drop the

:37:52. > :38:01.blue in and play for the red to the right of the pink. He would probably

:38:02. > :38:20.prefer to be on this red to the left.

:38:21. > :38:29.He screwed past the red, no angle to achieve that. But he gets immediate

:38:30. > :38:31.spin on. Could have played it better. He is not perfect on this

:38:32. > :39:31.red. He has left an angle to perhaps

:39:32. > :39:43.dislodge the two by the pink. It may have gone wrong. Does that

:39:44. > :40:02.red go? It is close. Oh, well I thought it just went and

:40:03. > :40:13.so did Ronnie. Once again a chance to win a frame in one visit not

:40:14. > :40:22.taken. He doesn't like that pocket. That is where he missed the red in

:40:23. > :40:37.the previous frame. That red lifted off the table.

:40:38. > :40:44.Not an easy red for Joe Perry. At this stage he has got to get those.

:40:45. > :40:54.That is true, every half chance has got to be taken by both players.

:40:55. > :40:58.Ronnie will be pleased to immediately get back to the table

:40:59. > :41:08.and finish what he started. 54 points the lead. Still a possible

:41:09. > :41:58.83 remaining. No problem and the black will put

:41:59. > :42:07.him 69 points in front with 67 remaining.

:42:08. > :42:31.Just making certain of the red. He knew that would make the task

:42:32. > :42:44.impossible. Terrific pot and he looks to have

:42:45. > :43:19.judged the pace of this absolutely to the inch. Superb shot.

:43:20. > :43:24.The next frame is a big one, as they all are now. But he is starting to

:43:25. > :44:00.fly, is Ronnie. The red's got gone in, but that

:44:01. > :44:07.means he has won the first frame after the mid session interval, but

:44:08. > :44:12.he still trails by one. Well that is what you need to do, Terry, when

:44:13. > :44:20.you're playing catch up, win frames quickly. But he needed two funts.

:44:21. > :44:27.Yes, you see the red. Watch this red now. When the cue ball strikes it.

:44:28. > :44:33.It will just bounce a little bit. You see it lifting off. That could

:44:34. > :44:41.have caused h imto push the red into the other red. I remember years ago

:44:42. > :44:46.there was a bill yard player called Lesley Driffield, he said when you

:44:47. > :44:52.hit the ball, you could put a coin in front and it would jump over it.

:44:53. > :45:08.Joe had one slim chance. But it was a tough red this. And just - this is

:45:09. > :45:12.a little bit too thin. That was the second chance that Ronnie needed to

:45:13. > :45:16.win the frame. But Joe never apart from that pot, didn't have much of

:45:17. > :45:22.an opportunity. So he has nothing to reflect badly on in that frame. Two

:45:23. > :45:29.frames from a place in the quarter final. That is what he will be

:45:30. > :45:33.thinking. That is a often the case against O'Sullivan, you don't often

:45:34. > :45:39.to make many mistakes when he is in full flow. But never been behind in

:45:40. > :45:42.the match, has Joe Perry. Ronnie back in the arena now. Another big

:45:43. > :46:09.frame coming up. So 21 frames played. How many more

:46:10. > :46:12.are we going to have? The match has been pretty tight all the way

:46:13. > :46:28.through. The most important thing, O'Sullivan

:46:29. > :47:07.hasn't been in front yet. Hen he starts potting the long ones,

:47:08. > :47:20.he is pretty hard work to play against.

:47:21. > :47:25.He is a little bit close to the cushion. You would think the brown

:47:26. > :47:36.would be the ball to play. He was shaping for the brown, now

:47:37. > :47:48.playing the green. Well, it was a good pot on the

:47:49. > :48:06.green. Helps not ideal on this red. He has just overrun it slightly. The

:48:07. > :48:50.blue is the more comfortable pot. In it went, but he has overdone it.

:48:51. > :48:55.He has over-screwed. He has a chance of the red to the right. But he will

:48:56. > :48:57.be careering into the other reds. So no guarantee of position and the red

:48:58. > :49:15.is missable. Well, he played it well. But didn't

:49:16. > :49:31.get through reds as he wanted. Surely he can't take this black on?

:49:32. > :49:35.Joe Perry maybe thinking he will be coming to the table sooner rather

:49:36. > :49:52.than later. With the top spin, it was that third

:49:53. > :49:54.red that he made contact with that just held the cue ball in this

:49:55. > :50:19.position. He has got to select the best shot

:50:20. > :50:25.available. The problem he has got here, he can't play safe off the

:50:26. > :50:30.black and he doesn't want to leave that red, or a view of that red that

:50:31. > :50:35.is near the baulk line. But the most important thing is to cover the rid

:50:36. > :50:50.near the right corner. -- cover the red.

:50:51. > :50:57.He is taking a chance playing it off the black. He could leave it here.

:50:58. > :51:04.Well, the red just above the black is available. So I don't see the

:51:05. > :51:12.merit in that shot. Gave it plenty of thought. Didn't he overcomplicate

:51:13. > :51:14.it? I think in the back of his mind he doesn't want to get the black

:51:15. > :51:29.safe. He has got a tough blue or yellow

:51:30. > :51:58.on. Clean as a whistle. All you can

:51:59. > :52:08.expect is a chance. Can Joe Perry make the most of it?

:52:09. > :52:17.This is a defining moment in his snooker career.

:52:18. > :52:56.He has a chance now to go within one frame of the quarter final.

:52:57. > :53:11.This is the sort of position he has been scoring from in this match.

:53:12. > :53:19.He caught that a little bit too full and he is not good on the reds. He

:53:20. > :53:27.will need the long rest to play it. A very thin cut in the corner. This

:53:28. > :53:33.is a bit awkward. He can't get to the middle of the cue ball. So it is

:53:34. > :53:35.a tricky shot. I think he is of a mind if he gets an opportunity to go

:53:36. > :53:58.for it. Right in the heart of the pocket.

:53:59. > :54:05.Not perfect on the blue by any means. But another good positional

:54:06. > :54:30.shot needed. That was a good pot with the rest.

:54:31. > :55:19.He will need a couple of these four reds that are close together. He has

:55:20. > :55:27.left himself an angle. But the pink is half a blocker.

:55:28. > :55:39.He played the scan none, where is the cue ball going -- he played the

:55:40. > :55:45.cannon. Where is the cue ball going. That is the danger. He tried to

:55:46. > :55:47.screw and miss the pink, which he did. But catching that red half

:55:48. > :56:16.ball, it was always on. He seemed to play the double. The

:56:17. > :56:22.only problem is he has put one red out of commission. I can see why he

:56:23. > :56:27.played it. If he had got it he could have rolled up. Joe Perry has a

:56:28. > :56:42.tough safety on. These shots get more difficult,

:56:43. > :56:48.specially when you're defending a lead. Just a bit short of pace.

:56:49. > :56:53.Caught the pink. Left a chance of a long red. But it is a tough one and

:56:54. > :57:11.he needs to get it if he goes for it.

:57:12. > :57:19.Now, where is the red going? Well it has just bounced enough, but there

:57:20. > :58:11.is a red on to the right middle. This is where we believe you on BBC

:58:12. > :58:25.Two. But if you hit the red button you can continue to enjoy this

:58:26. > :58:33.match. Hazel will be back at 1. 15 on BBC1 for more coverage from the

:58:34. > :58:36.Crucible. Do join her for that. Bye for now.
