:00:35. > :00:41.Good morning. Welcome to the Crucible in Sheffield. It is day
:00:42. > :00:43.four of the World Snooker Championships. Some fantastic
:00:44. > :00:46.sleeper to look forward to throughout the day. More first-round
:00:47. > :00:53.matches to be completed this morning. Neil Robertson, you may be
:00:54. > :00:58.able to see behind me is starting his quest to lift the trophy once
:00:59. > :01:00.again this morning. Mark Selby is looking for a quick finish this
:01:01. > :01:14.morning as he takes on Robert Milkins. I am not getting any
:01:15. > :01:20.younger. I need to start doing well in tournaments. I have only got a
:01:21. > :01:28.fierce left that to do well at the Crucible. This is probably one of my
:01:29. > :01:36.last chances. It is about time I started producing something. There
:01:37. > :01:41.is no place like it. As a snooker player, playing at the Crucible, in
:01:42. > :01:46.front of all those people, it feels like they are on your back, they are
:01:47. > :01:51.that close to you. It is a very special venue. A nice place,
:01:52. > :01:55.Sheffield. It does make you feel very special when people come up to
:01:56. > :01:59.you asking for your autograph. It makes you realise you are a player
:02:00. > :02:10.and it makes you feel it is worthwhile. The Neil Robertson game,
:02:11. > :02:14.that was the highlight. I played well against Mark and the last
:02:15. > :02:19.couple of tournaments. I have not had a bad career, but he has had a
:02:20. > :02:22.fantastic one and he has gone from strength to strength. I will be the
:02:23. > :02:31.underdog but with a bit of luck it will be my Day. The world number one
:02:32. > :02:37.was returning to action after missing the last two major events
:02:38. > :02:41.due to personal reasons. But it was the milkman who delivered the first
:02:42. > :02:46.break of the match. He left his opponent needing snoopers. When
:02:47. > :02:50.Selby missed the black along the real, it was Milkins who took the
:02:51. > :03:03.first frame courtesy of this fluke on the red. Selby responded well to
:03:04. > :03:11.take frame to. This time, his turn to benefit from a fortuitous red as
:03:12. > :03:16.he levelled up. Frame three went right down to the brown ball. After
:03:17. > :03:22.a long safety exchange, it was Milkins who came out on top and he
:03:23. > :03:28.said. Selby levelled the match after this spectacular shot on the blue.
:03:29. > :03:31.That was as good as it got for Milkins as the Jester from Leicester
:03:32. > :03:35.took the remaining frame of the session. The hallowed was this
:03:36. > :03:46.outstanding break to make the score 6-2. He needs 7-2 after the opening
:03:47. > :03:52.session. Mark has been in the practice room. He looks focused. He
:03:53. > :03:58.has missed two tournaments due to personal reasons. He beat Ronnie
:03:59. > :04:05.O'Sullivan 18-14 to win the 2014 championship. Perkins says he plays
:04:06. > :04:09.well against Selby. He hasn't beaten Mark Selby since 2011. The other
:04:10. > :04:13.match today sees Neil Robertson taking on Michael Holt. Lots of fans
:04:14. > :04:21.in the Crucible today. Let's join our MC, Rob Walker. Good morning
:04:22. > :04:26.ladies and gentlemen. Four top seeds have gone, the qualifiers have been
:04:27. > :04:32.sensational and if, like the crowd, you are lucky enough to be off work,
:04:33. > :04:37.you have chosen the right place to be. Welcome to another thrilling
:04:38. > :04:50.instalment of the 2016 bed free World Snooker Championship.
:04:51. > :04:58.Please welcome a player he came through an epic qualifier against
:04:59. > :05:03.Mark King to book his place. Former Shanghai Masters semifinalist and
:05:04. > :05:05.two time PGC winner, but on the big stage is the Mann from Nottingham,
:05:06. > :05:29.the Hitman, Michael Holt. And his opponent, ten years after
:05:30. > :05:34.winning his first ranking title, this Australian has made a massive
:05:35. > :05:37.contribution to the sport. World champion six years ago and he
:05:38. > :05:44.famously secured the triple Crown, winning the UK championship in 2013.
:05:45. > :06:08.Can you hear the Thunder from Down Under? Here is Neil Robertson.
:06:09. > :06:14.Hollande table two, welcome a player who earned his right to be here at
:06:15. > :06:19.the hard way, coming through a massive margin of the qualifiers. If
:06:20. > :06:24.multiple ranking even semifinalist who has turned a corner in the last
:06:25. > :06:26.couple of seasons. People give it everything. Give it up for the
:06:27. > :06:50.milkman, Robert Milkins. And finally, a player returning to
:06:51. > :06:54.the scene of his finest moment in snooker, becoming world champion
:06:55. > :06:58.here can use ago in a brilliant showdown. Bidding for a ninth
:06:59. > :07:03.appearance here at the Crucible, UK champion, multiple Masters champion
:07:04. > :07:25.and world number one, here comes the Jester from Leicester, Mark Selby.
:07:26. > :07:32.So, Mark Selby looking to get the job done as early as possible. He
:07:33. > :07:38.needs just three frames to advance. That is our life much easier for
:07:39. > :07:49.you. On the red button you can watch the other game.
:07:50. > :08:10.Mark Selby, can he carry on with his terrific form? A magnificent 132
:08:11. > :08:14.frame break. Not the best break off from the world number one. An early
:08:15. > :08:20.chance for Robert Milkins who, it has to be said, could quite easily
:08:21. > :08:21.have been closer. He had a terrible run at the ball early on in this
:08:22. > :09:03.match. They were 2-2. Robert APPLAUSE
:09:04. > :09:10.Target for this morning will be to win three of the first four frames.
:09:11. > :09:15.If he doesn't do that it will be very tough for him to win this
:09:16. > :09:28.match. This is just the start he would like. Looking for an angle on
:09:29. > :09:43.the blue here but he is not far enough. He will want to go into the
:09:44. > :09:48.pack them. He can use the pack to grant offered to land on the black
:09:49. > :09:57.year. He can screw the cue ball back through the pack to come back for
:09:58. > :10:05.the blue. That is OK. He has the blue to the left corner. He has got
:10:06. > :10:11.to have the most simple technique in the game. He just get down, point
:10:12. > :10:21.the cue and hits. He is one of the quickest we have ever seen. He
:10:22. > :10:30.missed a couple of loose like that yesterday. It cost him dearly. We
:10:31. > :10:43.will show you the job again. -- the shot.
:10:44. > :10:50.He got better as the first session went on, did Mark Selby. He looked a
:10:51. > :10:57.little bit edgy earlier in the match. He has got back into the
:10:58. > :11:11.nicely having missed the last few tournaments. If he does get through
:11:12. > :11:17.this round, he will then have three sessions. He will only get better.
:11:18. > :11:22.He may be looking to repeat what he did a couple of years ago against
:11:23. > :11:26.Ronnie also love them. That was an unbelievable performance. -- Ronnie
:11:27. > :12:04.O'Sullivan. That is shocking contact there. He
:12:05. > :12:10.cannot believe that. It is usual. It has thrown the ball so far to the
:12:11. > :12:16.left. That was incredible. Just when it looked like he would win this
:12:17. > :12:25.first frame. It makes you look silly. I think the people in the
:12:26. > :12:35.Crucible have now realised when he gets a terrible contact. That is a
:12:36. > :12:44.poor shot from Robert. He wanted a cannon on the red. They are bad
:12:45. > :12:51.misjudgement there. You can afford to do that. As Stephen said, he
:12:52. > :13:12.needs three of the first four frames here.
:13:13. > :13:23.He is fine. Good recovery there. He has got to take full advantage of
:13:24. > :13:36.this situation. Mark Selby was very unlucky with that heavy contact.
:13:37. > :13:43.When I said he needs to win three of the first four, four out of four
:13:44. > :13:51.would be ideal. Realistically, he doesn't think he will win all four
:13:52. > :14:04.frames. He has got to take these chances. He wouldn't have had this
:14:05. > :14:14.chance but for the horrendous kick Mark Selby suffered. A cannon on the
:14:15. > :14:18.paint would be perfect here. He has got the cannon on the pink but he
:14:19. > :14:26.had be read first. He is still in an ideal position. That is the target
:14:27. > :14:35.he is looking for. Route 66, he was after. This table was starting to
:14:36. > :14:40.play up a little bit and they have recovered the cushions on here also.
:14:41. > :14:45.They did it on the other cable and it made a fast difference. Hopefully
:14:46. > :15:13.now both cables will be playing much better. -- both cables.
:15:14. > :15:37.He is just about OK. Straight on the red would have been better. The blue
:15:38. > :15:42.is not too badly placed. Just this red and it is the perfect start for
:15:43. > :15:46.Robert Milkins who I think has the best work on music. The whole crowd
:15:47. > :16:31.started clapping. Mark stays in his seat. He was
:16:32. > :16:46.unlucky when he got that heavy contact. Robert Milkins has reduced
:16:47. > :16:49.his deficit to 7-3. He had to win the opening frame. I thought Mark
:16:50. > :16:54.would make a frame-winning contribution and it was all going
:16:55. > :16:59.along very nicely until this shot, he was just pushing through the reds
:17:00. > :17:08.and if you get a kick it will go to the right of the pocket, but watch
:17:09. > :17:14.this. It went to the opposite side. Absolutely amazing. It makes you
:17:15. > :17:20.look silly. Look how far he has missed the pocket by just because of
:17:21. > :17:25.that heavy contact. That is very frustrating for Mark Selby. We
:17:26. > :17:32.talked about Robert Milkins targets for women, Mark Selby needs three of
:17:33. > :17:52.the first four and the match is over. He will win if he gets this
:17:53. > :18:04.over quickly. It is a long 17 days. If you can win a match with a little
:18:05. > :18:10.bit to spare, it helps. That is not the best shot but I think he is just
:18:11. > :18:11.OK. Had he have parted that he wouldn't have cannoned into the
:18:12. > :19:50.other. These players have played each other
:19:51. > :19:57.on seven occasions. It is five wins to Mark, two wins for Robert. The
:19:58. > :20:05.only long match they play was back in 2006. Mark 110-4 of them. -- Mark
:20:06. > :20:22.won the match 10-4. I heard in his interview there
:20:23. > :20:28.before the match he said he is to know, it might be his last chance at
:20:29. > :20:39.the Crucible. He is 40 years of age but if he keeps popping those he has
:20:40. > :21:04.a few years left in him. That rate was much better shot than it looked.
:21:05. > :21:14.That is not a bad little rescue part. This is why he is such a
:21:15. > :21:34.dangerous opponent. He was away before it went in
:21:35. > :21:49.because he knew he had got it. Such a difficult shot. I played him in
:21:50. > :21:50.China in my last year and he was 4-0 up before I thought I had even put
:21:51. > :22:16.ice in motoring. -- in my drink. As I mentioned above his work on
:22:17. > :22:27.music, the song is called I am a cider drinker.
:22:28. > :22:48.Perfectly played. Well judged. He got the correct side of the blue.
:22:49. > :23:02.If he plays this next shot too hard he could knock the black slave. --
:23:03. > :23:06.safe. He has decided not to play the cannon. I cant believe he didn't
:23:07. > :23:22.take you a shot on there. Good recovery because he thought he
:23:23. > :23:52.had put himself out of position. This is how he started the match.
:23:53. > :24:02.Then he had a terrible run it has to be said. Mark Selby just took over,
:24:03. > :24:29.took control of the match. He can get to 68. Mark will need sneakers.
:24:30. > :24:52.He has come up a little bit short now. You want to keep the white as
:24:53. > :24:59.close as possible. He is hitting the ball sweetly this morning. He is out
:25:00. > :25:05.on the black but the pink is there. -- not on the black. He has got a
:25:06. > :25:23.real confidence boost from winning the first frame.
:25:24. > :25:31.Had he have lost the first frame his head could have gone down and there
:25:32. > :25:41.could have been a quick end to this match. He is just one red and white
:25:42. > :25:44.collar away from beating Mark needing snookers. But he doesn't do
:25:45. > :26:26.it. He was going to risk potting it and
:26:27. > :26:35.just hoping for the pink. With this safety shot, Robert Wilkins will be
:26:36. > :26:38.hoping that Mark makes a mistake. The 61 point advantage could
:26:39. > :26:50.disappear very quickly if Mark gets a chance.
:26:51. > :27:04.It has just tied the black up a little bit.
:27:05. > :27:17.There is no easy path back to the safe zone here. He has defined the
:27:18. > :27:24.gap. The cue ball is not going in but if he gets this end, have a look
:27:25. > :27:33.at the table. The 61 point advantage could disappear quickly if this
:27:34. > :27:43.works. The White will go toward the pink or the right middle pocket. Oh,
:27:44. > :27:48.he has hit it too thick. Oh, he hasn't put a sticker, surely? You
:27:49. > :27:56.cannot get your breath. That is so fortunate. That is what was
:27:57. > :27:59.happening early on in the match. Once he has missed the pot, Mark
:28:00. > :28:19.would have thought he has lost the frame. He just hates it too thick.
:28:20. > :28:22.-- hits it. He can't come off the cushion and land on the red tape the
:28:23. > :28:29.right of the black because the black is in the way. He might miss this
:28:30. > :28:38.all together with the first attempt. No, he judged it well. He will be
:28:39. > :29:10.relieved. He has pushed a red toward the
:29:11. > :29:14.pocket so one could pot here and he has got his second frame. That will
:29:15. > :30:18.do nicely. I think if you were practising with
:30:19. > :30:20.Robert, you'd be dizzy. I went to the Grand Prix one-year and my head
:30:21. > :30:50.was spinning. If Robert practices four or six
:30:51. > :31:17.hours a day, he will play a lot of snooker in that time.
:31:18. > :31:27.APPLAUSE He just looked over at Mark, he was
:31:28. > :31:35.getting the ball is out of the pocket, Robert. The comeback
:31:36. > :31:39.continues, but Mark Selby still leads 7-4. He certainly doesn't hang
:31:40. > :31:48.about, does he? The best possible start for Robert. He is so fluent.
:31:49. > :31:57.Stephen said the first player to perfect this shot, hit the screw
:31:58. > :32:03.shot and open the pack. I think he thought he was out of position, then
:32:04. > :32:06.he moved around and moved the red to the middle. That is frustrating
:32:07. > :32:16.thing about playing Robert Milkins, gets out position quite a lot when
:32:17. > :32:24.he is playing. At the end, helping the referee set the balls up, I
:32:25. > :32:55.think you want to put Mark Selby out of his comfort zone.
:32:56. > :33:04.Not a bad break-off shot. I say that because the red that's gone near the
:33:05. > :33:13.cushion is in the way of the safety shot Dalmatin side of the table. --
:33:14. > :33:20.Dalmatin of that side. A touch of side so he doesn't hit that red.
:33:21. > :33:32.He did hit it, but he hit it at the right side. Still got the white up
:33:33. > :33:37.to the baulk line. See if the world number one can settle down, because
:33:38. > :33:39.he since he had that heavy contact when he was in the balls, it's been
:33:40. > :34:50.all Robert. A bit of a chance here, as you CV
:34:51. > :34:56.success right. Robert Milkins ahead of Mark Selby. I tell you what, he
:34:57. > :35:00.cued right above that. -- you can see the safety success rate. He hit
:35:01. > :35:20.that very badly indeed. You expected Mark Selby to be well
:35:21. > :35:23.ahead in the safety success rate, but Robert played some fantastic
:35:24. > :35:36.safety yesterday. He just didn't score enough when he got in.
:35:37. > :35:49.His highest break just 62. He could do with a sizeable break here. Like
:35:50. > :35:53.he played in frame one. You see, that was a bit careless, wasn't it?
:35:54. > :35:59.That is Robert Milkins in a nutshell, basically. He plays so
:36:00. > :36:06.many of those careless positional shots. I would never say he needs to
:36:07. > :36:09.slow down, because that's his natural game, you don't want to play
:36:10. > :36:16.the way he -- don't want to change the way he plays, but...
:36:17. > :36:26.Oh, well. Happy Christmas, what a result there. There are not many
:36:27. > :36:30.players in the game who could create that kind of power from that
:36:31. > :36:34.position. Look at the top spin. Yes, he deserved that. A little nudge on
:36:35. > :37:25.the pink there. This is not what Mark Selby wanted
:37:26. > :37:30.this morning. Obviously no fault of his own, the first frame, why he
:37:31. > :37:35.lost it. But overnight this is the last thing he wanted, Robert Milkins
:37:36. > :38:04.to get up a head of steam and build confidence.
:38:05. > :38:15.Another... Three rates that are available? Possibly four. -- three
:38:16. > :38:25.rates. If you watch Robert's bridge hand, his hand is a long way from
:38:26. > :38:27.the cue ball. As you can see, there. It is just raw, natural talent,
:38:28. > :38:52.that's what it is. 204 points now without a reply from
:38:53. > :39:13.Mark. Yes, and it's taken about 15 minutes.
:39:14. > :39:20.He might just be OK. Only a few pots away from securing a third frame. He
:39:21. > :39:40.is flying at the moment. APPLAUSE He is nicknamed the Milkman. He
:39:41. > :39:44.certainly has the fastest float in town. And then all of a sudden, as
:39:45. > :39:54.Stephen said, he plays one like that. Securing the frame... At this
:39:55. > :40:00.stage that and a colour and it was 3-0 in this mini-session. So
:40:01. > :40:05.refreshing to watch, though. Players seem to take so much time to play
:40:06. > :40:06.simple shots, walking round the table about three times. He just
:40:07. > :40:37.gets on with it, so great to watch. Yes, that last safety shot of
:40:38. > :40:45.Mark... That's where he wanted the cue ball.
:40:46. > :40:52.Yes, Mark Selby, world number one, you don't get there without
:40:53. > :40:58.experience and not panicking when you are in situations like this.
:40:59. > :41:02.Although he is 7-4 up, it looks like 7-5. He needs to get a frame on the
:41:03. > :41:21.board as soon as possible, to stop this.
:41:22. > :41:37.Terrific pot. He needed at least the blue to leave Mark needing a
:41:38. > :41:43.snooker. After potting a fantastic red he
:41:44. > :42:05.misses a very comfortable brown. He missed his last attempt at a long
:42:06. > :42:13.pot by a long way. Can he get this one? That's better.
:42:14. > :43:01.Yeah, that was a beautiful shot. Stroked it in, lovely.
:43:02. > :43:11.Landed a bit straight on this black. I don't know if those two reds pot.
:43:12. > :43:33.He would like to be a bit higher on the black.
:43:34. > :44:16.This is the key shot coming up here. Almost dead straight on this and is
:44:17. > :44:22.having to use the rest. That was a very strangely played shot there.
:44:23. > :44:24.The cue ball should have been much closer. To the left hand side
:44:25. > :44:42.cushion. Brilliant. That is the pot of the
:44:43. > :44:51.day so far. This is excellent, with the rest. I don't think he's come up
:44:52. > :44:54.the table far enough, he will have to use a lot of right-hand side
:44:55. > :44:59.here, or possibly even go round the table. It's a long way round, but
:45:00. > :45:09.that's what he's attempting. He's not on the red, but he can play
:45:10. > :45:24.these snooker. A pretty decent effort, wasn't it? If he is able to
:45:25. > :45:35.lay the snooker behind the black, he's right back in this game.
:45:36. > :45:46.He's played it poorly, needs to hit the yellow. And he has done. Because
:45:47. > :45:51.he didn't get in behind the black. I was just watching Robert. He gave
:45:52. > :45:59.Mark Selby Astaire as he walked around the table. Mark Selby didn't
:46:00. > :46:06.know. -- gave Mark Selby a a stare. This could have been avoided, when
:46:07. > :46:11.he needed the brown, he had plotted a fantastic red, he went for the
:46:12. > :46:17.brown and left himself a difficult red. He could have gone for the
:46:18. > :46:21.yellow, with the lead he had. Now, all of a sudden, he's maybe just
:46:22. > :46:40.Well, this will be some shot, if he makes the angle. What a shot that
:46:41. > :46:50.is. Great shot! That is as good a shot as you will ever see. Watch, he
:46:51. > :46:57.hits this with loads of bottom. When it comes off the first cushion
:46:58. > :47:05.bananas the cue ball, and angle that wasn't natural. A great shot.
:47:06. > :47:12.Well, he's close to the cushion, but he only needs the red. If it's dead
:47:13. > :47:21.straight, it's going to be very awkward. Is it dead straight? That's
:47:22. > :47:30.the question. Oh, he cued that lovely. At a slight angle. He will
:47:31. > :47:34.be pretty relieved, will Robert. Because he was in complete control
:47:35. > :47:41.of this frame, and then all of a sudden, things changed.
:47:42. > :47:50.It doesn't want to play the touch up, in case he lands short. He is
:47:51. > :48:00.not happy with this. That is the shot to play. 35 the difference,
:48:01. > :48:09.barring a couple of snookers, it's three in a row.
:48:10. > :48:20.That was a great effort, there. Almost got a snooker back. Is this
:48:21. > :48:39.hard enough? It looks good to me. APPLAUSE
:48:40. > :48:48.Yeah... The yellows, safe. Mark hasn't conceded. -- the yellow has
:48:49. > :49:24.gone safe. The balls are nicely placed for the
:49:25. > :49:32.snookers that are required. Maybe Mark, as well as needing three
:49:33. > :49:33.snookers, just keeping him on the table here to get him out of his
:49:34. > :49:43.rhythm. There was one frame before when he
:49:44. > :49:51.needed three snookers, Mark Selby. He has actually won four friends
:49:52. > :49:56.here needing four snookers. I won't say who that was against, Dennis,
:49:57. > :50:06.but not sitting too far away from you. Now he needs four snookers. You
:50:07. > :50:14.lost a frame with your opponent needing four snookers, Stephen? I
:50:15. > :50:21.don't believe that. It's OK, no one else will know.
:50:22. > :50:29.Look at the action he got on that with the reverse side. He hardly hit
:50:30. > :50:34.that. As you say, it is just natural, raw talent from Robert, a
:50:35. > :50:42.treat to watch. This time Mark will stay in his seat. What a start for
:50:43. > :50:49.Robert Milkins. He has played three and won three and closes the gap. It
:50:50. > :50:54.is now 7-5. Well, did make it harder work
:50:55. > :50:59.crimes, he dominated the frame and then let Mark of the hook a little
:51:00. > :51:03.bit. No natural angle, if there was a natural angle you would hit brown
:51:04. > :51:07.or yellow. He is going towards the centre pocket with a lot of angle.
:51:08. > :51:12.It is like a trick shot. And doing the white around the brown. Look at
:51:13. > :51:16.that, as it hits the cushion. That is as good an escape as you will
:51:17. > :51:23.ever see. And of course there was one shot
:51:24. > :51:27.where he had a bit of good fortune, but he deserved it. Almost dead
:51:28. > :51:33.straight on the blue and the white jumps and comes off two cushions.
:51:34. > :51:37.Stephen had a little laugh but said he deserved it. This is what happens
:51:38. > :51:41.when you play with top spin. Look at that black and white Ball, what
:51:42. > :51:51.happens. It stops, jumps in the air and all of a sudden it takes off.
:51:52. > :51:59.Frame 13, Rob Milkins to break. Robert breaks off in what is now a
:52:00. > :52:23.massive frame in this match. As long as Robert Milkins keeps
:52:24. > :52:27.winning frames, he has that momentum, and that is so important
:52:28. > :52:29.in long matches. Mark Selby, if he can just win this frame, it will
:52:30. > :53:25.just stop him in his tracks. Just gone a little awkward here,
:53:26. > :53:36.with the two reds tidying the black art. -- black up.
:53:37. > :53:41.I was on the other table yesterday, but I watched some of this match.
:53:42. > :53:50.Some of Robert's safety shots were top drawer. I wonder, is there a
:53:51. > :53:52.possible plant on here. Those two reds... I wonder if they are in line
:53:53. > :54:46.for the right corner. He just held up his hand to
:54:47. > :54:48.apologise, I don't know what for... OK, he hit the blue... Nothing
:54:49. > :55:21.available. And there again, top-class safety
:55:22. > :55:57.from Robert Milkins. Shouldn't be a problem, coming off
:55:58. > :56:11.two cushions and just playing on the three reds to the left of the black.
:56:12. > :56:15.At first glance I don't think he's got any way to get back down the
:56:16. > :57:04.table now, so a bit of a stalemate. Now, we could have a re-rack here if
:57:05. > :57:14.they play a few more shots like this. Although,? Might want to
:57:15. > :57:23.prolong this, to put Robert off his stride. There is no shot at the
:57:24. > :57:31.moment. Stalemate. -- Mark might want to prolong this.
:57:32. > :57:39.That might have helped the situation, the way he played it. It
:57:40. > :58:00.was a clever little shot from Robert, just to stop the stalemate.
:58:01. > :58:05.I think you might be able to run up the table this time, and then we
:58:06. > :58:23.will be back to normal then. The way those reds are surrounding
:58:24. > :58:49.the black... This time it's Mark who holds his
:58:50. > :59:04.hand -- he's had a result there. How did
:59:05. > :59:10.he get that white tight on that baulk cushion?
:59:11. > :59:37.Do you think you were saying, well done, you were a little bit lucky
:59:38. > :59:57.there? LAUGHTER Sends a little bit of needle in this
:59:58. > :00:04.match. Nothing too severe. Just two contrasting styles. Guess, it's very
:00:05. > :00:10.unusual for a player to say something to another player,
:00:11. > :00:13.unless... You see it when they are smiling laughing, but there is no
:00:14. > :00:15.smiling laughing going on. We will have to find out at the end what
:00:16. > :00:44.Robert said. I remember I played it once and I
:00:45. > :01:03.played a good safety shot and got a flick.
:01:04. > :01:17.Eddie Charlton used to mutter things to you during a game. Meanwhile,
:01:18. > :01:22.this is the sort of frame Mark Selby wanted. He is trying to get Milkins
:01:23. > :01:54.out of his rhythm. What a scrappy frame. I have never
:01:55. > :01:58.seen the ball is quite like this before. Look at the break they are
:01:59. > :02:12.congregated around the black. It is very unusual. It is not the time to
:02:13. > :02:16.say he should clear up from here. It is an important frame before the
:02:17. > :02:20.mid-session interval. We talked about targets that you set yourself
:02:21. > :02:32.and we were saying he would quite like to win the session 3-1. He has
:02:33. > :02:36.every chance of winning all four. He has sprung and read out. If he is
:02:37. > :02:59.not hampered by the blue, there is a chance here.
:03:00. > :03:07.That was a good shot considering the amount of time they spent playing
:03:08. > :03:22.safety shot. He looks in a mean mood this morning. It goes back to how
:03:23. > :03:33.important the first frame was. If he had one of the frame, the match
:03:34. > :03:43.could be over by now. Since then, it has been all Robert Milkins. He is
:03:44. > :04:07.putting Mark Selby under extreme pressure now.
:04:08. > :04:13.They were so awkwardly placed a few minutes ago and all of a sudden they
:04:14. > :04:19.are starting to open up a little bit. It was all created by the
:04:20. > :04:27.terrific read that Robert knocked in. He got onto the pink. It looks
:04:28. > :04:34.natural angle to cannon the reds to the right of the black. He has
:04:35. > :04:42.played that little touch shot really well. All events are covering each
:04:43. > :04:43.other so he might have to play some top spin into the left-hand side to
:04:44. > :05:00.go into the red here. That was a clever little shot
:05:01. > :05:11.because it gives him a choice of two reds.
:05:12. > :05:21.He looks very, very focused. A lot of noise from the other side of the
:05:22. > :05:27.arena for the end of the frame. He hasn't batted an eyelid. He has that
:05:28. > :05:31.expression on his face that says he means business. I think he has I am
:05:32. > :05:50.not going to lose a frame face on. The reds are all blocking each other
:05:51. > :06:05.to the right corner and they may not be far enough over. This is much
:06:06. > :06:14.more difficult now. He needed to be high on the pink. He was just about
:06:15. > :06:19.an inch or two short. I am sure he had a shot on there or he could have
:06:20. > :06:32.plotted the pink of the side cushion and back over to the reds. He can
:06:33. > :06:37.reach this. Once the game, the reds are all blocking each other so he
:06:38. > :06:49.will have two come across the table this time. We know what cube power
:06:50. > :06:54.he has. There might be want up into the corner. Unless the pink is
:06:55. > :07:10.stopping it, so it will have two be the middle.
:07:11. > :07:32.That could have been a frame when had it gone in. -- a winner.
:07:33. > :07:46.Oh, if he drops on the Pinky has had a result. That is not bad. The two
:07:47. > :07:49.reds on the black cushion, he could play for that. He could put the pink
:07:50. > :08:17.in the left centre. Well played. The two reds that are
:08:18. > :08:35.together next to the black, they are in the way of everything. There is a
:08:36. > :08:41.chance for a counter attack here. Mark Selby is on form and scoring,
:08:42. > :08:43.this could be a chance to win the frame, no doubt, but he has been
:08:44. > :09:03.under a barrage from Robert Milkins. He will be looking at this as a
:09:04. > :09:13.chance to win the frame. If he does when the frame, I think he will be
:09:14. > :09:25.in a strong place. The mid-session interval is coming up. At 8-5 he
:09:26. > :09:32.would be in the driving seat after break. At 7-6, it is and won's
:09:33. > :09:56.match. -- and a one's. Three comfortably reds. Two reds
:09:57. > :09:57.near the cushion. It is not a straightforward run to the winning
:09:58. > :10:29.post in this frame. He is just going to sit there and
:10:30. > :11:36.hope that something goes wrong with the two rather tricky reds left.
:11:37. > :11:44.Got a bit of an angle here but it is always a risk when you try to move a
:11:45. > :11:51.red when potting a read. He will probably leave that. He doesn't have
:11:52. > :11:55.the ankle to do that anyway. The one along the cushion here behind the
:11:56. > :12:07.black will be tricky. The other one is even more difficult. He is just
:12:08. > :12:15.showing us why he is the current world number one. He lost three
:12:16. > :12:24.frames in a row, was 44-0 down in this frame. The first tricky pot
:12:25. > :12:30.coming up. And now an angle on the black. He brings the red into play
:12:31. > :12:42.to drop in behind it would be difficult. He needs to move it.
:12:43. > :12:47.Oh, it is a good shot to knock it off the cushion that it will be a
:12:48. > :13:21.difficult shot to secure the frame. He is looking at the angle to the
:13:22. > :13:33.far right corner. Nowhere near it. As he left it? Maybe he should have
:13:34. > :13:50.took your advice. I think he called the right shot.
:13:51. > :13:59.Perhaps he is getting desperate to get a frame on the board. He got a
:14:00. > :14:06.slight pad contact but that has nothing to do with how much he
:14:07. > :14:17.missed the pot by. He has got to make sure he doesn't snooker himself
:14:18. > :14:26.on the green. The tricky bit is getting nicely on the brown to get
:14:27. > :14:27.on the blue, to get to the pink. A lot of pressure on this little
:14:28. > :14:49.clearance. He has dropped it in a dead weight.
:14:50. > :15:26.It is there. What a performance. Unbelievable. Mark Selby got a cake
:15:27. > :15:32.on the first frame and it cost them, but after that it was all Robert
:15:33. > :15:40.Milkins. For in a row, get him to just one frame behind. 7-6 to Mark
:15:41. > :15:44.Selby, the game is definitely on. I spoke to a lot of fans and they all
:15:45. > :15:48.thought it would be all over this morning and that Mark Selby would
:15:49. > :15:53.because it is in the second round early on. The milkman is certainly
:15:54. > :15:57.delivering. We are on the mid-session interval so we will
:15:58. > :16:00.focus on another match involving a former world champion, Neil
:16:01. > :16:10.Robertson is taking on Michael Holt. We know he is a mass of Chelsea fan,
:16:11. > :16:14.but does he like other sports? I would have to say Michael Jordan. I
:16:15. > :16:20.used to love basketball growing up in Australia. Cathy Freeman winning
:16:21. > :16:25.the gold at the Sydney Olympics, that was a pretty incredible moment
:16:26. > :16:28.for Australian sport. Football, the atmosphere and the grounds is
:16:29. > :16:39.incredible. On my last Day of school I turned up for PE and then I went
:16:40. > :16:44.to my dad's club to practice. The Crucible is my favourite place to
:16:45. > :16:53.play. The code is so close, when it gets down to the one-table set-up,
:16:54. > :17:02.there is no better place to snooker. If I am not wearing my hat, quite
:17:03. > :17:09.often it would be Joe Perry, Mike Davis. My most embarrassing moment
:17:10. > :17:14.was when I forgot my shoes. I bought a terrible pair of shoes and lost
:17:15. > :17:19.the first session 8-0. The shoes were really uncomfortable. If I was
:17:20. > :17:29.still based in the UK I would like to stay involved in the game, doing
:17:30. > :17:31.commentary, maybe some coaching. You are always welcome in the commentary
:17:32. > :17:48.box. Just the one win over Neil Robertson
:17:49. > :17:52.in a qualifier for the China open in 2000. We will pick up the action in
:17:53. > :18:04.frame one. World leading by 26 points on a break of 41. He has
:18:05. > :18:09.missed the black. How many times do we see that, a player concentrating
:18:10. > :18:17.that much to developing the next ball to forget the pot. Was he
:18:18. > :18:23.putting a little bit of right-hand side on? I think so. It is
:18:24. > :18:29.unexpected because he has looked very fluent so far. Peter was
:18:30. > :18:39.mentioning about the superfine cloth. Players play with side on
:18:40. > :18:43.that, particularly on parts, if you put a trace of side and just hit the
:18:44. > :18:48.ball firmer than you wanted, the side will push the cue ball away
:18:49. > :18:59.from its intended target. You put right-hand side on their and hit it
:19:00. > :19:10.a little too hard what a chance he let go. It'll be a tall order for
:19:11. > :19:18.need to win the frame this visit. The way the blue and pink. There is
:19:19. > :19:30.a chance that blue could now come to the rescue of Michael Holt.
:19:31. > :19:33.The only thing we always say when the polls are on that side, it will
:19:34. > :19:55.suit a left-hander. He has got plenty of options here.
:19:56. > :20:00.Providing he can find the right angle on the brown, obviously. He
:20:01. > :20:06.could play to disturb the blue and pink, but he also has the option of
:20:07. > :20:11.dropping behind the blue and if he gets a perfect angle he can play the
:20:12. > :20:17.blue but hardly any weight at all to what the pocket and leave himself on
:20:18. > :20:23.the pink. Or he could pot the blue and develop the pink. It depends
:20:24. > :20:31.what sort of ankle he gets on the ground. -- the brown. He is worried
:20:32. > :20:42.about falling out of the pink or the blue. People forget the yellow
:20:43. > :20:48.slightly. -- he over it. Ideally what he would have liked to play is
:20:49. > :20:57.to play for the brown in the opposite corner he will play it now.
:20:58. > :21:01.This brown will put him four points behind, so he is going to need blue,
:21:02. > :21:27.pink and black to clinch the frame. I think it is very risky if he does
:21:28. > :21:32.decide to attempt to move the blue and pink in this shot because if he
:21:33. > :21:40.was really unlucky he could cannon into the blue and snooker himself
:21:41. > :21:45.behind the pink. It will be interesting to see how he goes about
:21:46. > :21:56.this. He has decided to play bad shot and he has gone into the cue
:21:57. > :22:08.ball with far too much pace. It looks like a snooker.
:22:09. > :22:19.We said it would be a tall order but advantage it needed at the moment,
:22:20. > :22:29.you would think. -- advantage Neil Robertson. You wouldn't think he
:22:30. > :22:48.would leave this blue if it hits it. Hit it well. An opportunity here to
:22:49. > :22:58.lay the snooker behind the black. I don't think that is hard enough. Now
:22:59. > :23:29.then. Will mark old attempt to double? -- Mark Wood.
:23:30. > :23:36.If he does take the double on, there is a chance he could lead the pink
:23:37. > :23:46.into the right-hand black pocket. He decided against it. That was a good
:23:47. > :23:54.shot because there is every chance now that Neil Robertson will be
:23:55. > :23:59.developing the pink. He had the option of applying this with lots of
:24:00. > :24:02.left-hand side in order to develop the pink and get the cue ball behind
:24:03. > :24:11.the black. He does have a fee options here. -- a few options here.
:24:12. > :24:25.That would leave Michael Holt in a lot of trouble here. Neil didn't
:24:26. > :24:29.play that very well, did he? You would think he would have to take
:24:30. > :24:40.the double. Blue and pink needed for the first frame. In the end he
:24:41. > :24:55.decided to play the snooker. Thought he was guaranteed that.
:24:56. > :25:08.Michael Holt will be the big favourite now.
:25:09. > :25:23.Now, where will the cue ball finish? That is end of frame now for me. He
:25:24. > :25:26.will take the pink which will count as a blue. Neil Robertson has had a
:25:27. > :25:37.couple of chances and didn't make the most of them. In those who pink.
:25:38. > :25:49.That puts him 13 points in front. This blue will put him 18 points in
:25:50. > :25:54.front. That very intelligent snooker that Michael decided to play on the
:25:55. > :26:02.blue there, refusing the double, it paid dividends. Very impressive,
:26:03. > :26:15.well thought out. 19 points, the lead now.
:26:16. > :26:21.A very interesting first frame. Michael Holt will be glad to get it
:26:22. > :26:31.under his belt. Neil Robertson had chances, with negative, Michael Holt
:26:32. > :26:35.leads the world number 41-0. An excellent start from Michael Holt.
:26:36. > :26:42.That show you what happened in frame two. Michael Holt is back at the
:26:43. > :26:51.table meeting 16-9. Black available into both corners. Enough reds
:26:52. > :26:58.nicely spread. He will be disappointed if he doesn't make this
:26:59. > :27:04.a frame-winning contribution. Michael really does need to keep his
:27:05. > :27:09.concentration now because sometimes, when the top player miss balls
:27:10. > :27:13.unexpectedly, your own level of concentration can go down and that
:27:14. > :27:18.is what Michael needs to be very wary of now because he will be
:27:19. > :27:23.shocked, to be honest, that need has missed if you chances so far. This
:27:24. > :27:29.is a chance for Michael to keep his concentration levels are very high
:27:30. > :27:33.and push on. He should punish me for the mistakes he has made. Neil is
:27:34. > :27:37.looking quite uncomfortable in his seat at the moment. It has not been
:27:38. > :27:42.the best of starts for him this morning. He will need to regroup and
:27:43. > :27:53.get his thoughts attuned to being very positive.
:27:54. > :27:57.He needs to be in the right state of mind to take his opportunities when
:27:58. > :28:32.they come along, if they come along. This is a new one, rolling his
:28:33. > :28:59.sleeve up. I was almost expecting to see a logo on his forum.
:29:00. > :29:08.It is OK, he is back in a perfect position now. Just one or two
:29:09. > :29:16.positional shots, through no fault of his own. Back in perfect position
:29:17. > :30:08.now. The frame is his mercy. -- at his mercy.
:30:09. > :30:18.54 points the lead. Just looking for another red and a colour.
:30:19. > :30:31.No problem. This black to go 62 points in front, with just 59
:30:32. > :30:38.remaining. Took them well. OK, needed two opportunities, with in
:30:39. > :30:44.first in this frame and missed an easy red, but wasn't punished by new
:30:45. > :30:49.Robinson. It's a nice feeling when you know you've had a chance, you've
:30:50. > :30:58.missed an easy red, and it doesn't cost you the frame. -- Neil
:30:59. > :31:06.Robertson. Not way is easy to put it out your mind, and not dwell on it.
:31:07. > :31:11.That Mr red early on for Michael Holt could have cost him, and would
:31:12. > :31:19.be thinking about it for a few frames, but he can forget about it
:31:20. > :31:25.now and just remember he took this frame with the second opportunity. A
:31:26. > :31:30.possibility of a century, but needs a good shot off the brown.
:31:31. > :31:58.Is a double, yes, beautiful. Got the perfect angle now on the pink.
:31:59. > :32:05.This would be a real settler, I've always said, I don't care who you
:32:06. > :32:11.are, when you come into a tournament you just want to show people you can
:32:12. > :32:16.play. A century settles you and shows the audience you mean
:32:17. > :32:24.business. Absolutely. But unfortunately not to be. That was a
:32:25. > :32:29.pity, but he won't mind that. He needed two chances, but he got them,
:32:30. > :32:32.because as Peter says, Neil Robertson not settled yet and he
:32:33. > :32:37.trails 2-0. You don't need to remind me we have
:32:38. > :32:41.already lost a smattering of world champions. Are we about to lose
:32:42. > :32:44.another one? Too early to say but a great performance this morning from
:32:45. > :32:51.Michael Holt. Don't forget, you can follow that match on the red button,
:32:52. > :32:55.where you can catch all the latest news and live coverage. The players
:32:56. > :33:00.have had their mid-session interval. Mark Selby, interestingly, came in
:33:01. > :33:04.here in the mid-session interval, under the practice table. Doesn't
:33:05. > :33:08.look happy at all. We thought it might have been an early finish
:33:09. > :33:13.today, only needing three frames to get through to the next round, but
:33:14. > :33:18.Robert Milkins has rattled off four frames and looks in the groove. What
:33:19. > :33:26.a first performance this morning, Dennis Taylor? Absolutely. We've
:33:27. > :33:31.seen it so many times, he could have done without an interval, the way he
:33:32. > :33:32.was playing. Sometimes it can change things. That's what Mark Selby will
:33:33. > :33:41.be hoping for. Yes, interesting to see if Robert
:33:42. > :33:49.can keep up what he's been doing this morning. Sometimes when you are
:33:50. > :33:54.7-2 down you start to relax, you think you are so far behind, you
:33:55. > :33:58.throw caution to the wind, but now he has a chance of winning and the
:33:59. > :34:02.pressure will be back on him. Look at the pot success rate, 85% for
:34:03. > :34:18.Mark and 94 for Robert. The biggest surprise, I suppose, in
:34:19. > :34:23.the match so far, is the safety success rate. Have a look at that.
:34:24. > :34:39.Out playing Mark Selby, one of the greatest tacticians in the game.
:34:40. > :34:58.This stat here, Dennis, is very interesting. Mark Selby, 41 send
:34:59. > :35:03.long pot success. That is very low. I suppose this shot will be classed
:35:04. > :35:05.as a long pot, because he is so far away from it. I expect him to sneak
:35:06. > :35:18.this one in. He's not getting the run of the ball
:35:19. > :35:25.at the moment, only a snooker available to him. Not a very
:35:26. > :35:30.favourable kiss on the brown. I think you might be able... He can
:35:31. > :35:36.certainly get to the red behind the back. -- the black. He can't nestle
:35:37. > :35:41.into the right side of the pack because he would leave the red on.
:35:42. > :35:44.Can he see enough of the cushion, the middle pocket, to skip to the
:35:45. > :35:51.one I mention? Might be too close to the yellow to do that.
:35:52. > :35:58.I don't know how close he is to the yellow, but that is the escape
:35:59. > :36:00.route. If we went into the left side of the pack, he could leave a red
:36:01. > :36:18.on, also. That looks pretty good. Yes, nicely
:36:19. > :36:45.judged. He's looked so relaxed this morning.
:36:46. > :36:56.He's kept that same expression on his face all the way through.
:36:57. > :37:35.A bit of noise. Players have finished the mid-session interval --
:37:36. > :37:40.have started the mid-session interval on the other table.
:37:41. > :37:48.Spectators going out to get a coffee and stretch their legs.
:37:49. > :37:56.I remember in the early days, Stephen, when they used to come
:37:57. > :38:00.here, 1977. You would be among the spectators, up at the back watching.
:38:01. > :38:03.There was no players rooms or anything in those days. You used to
:38:04. > :39:02.mingle with the crowd. Another example of Robert Milkins
:39:03. > :39:04.outplaying Mark Selby in the safety Department. In a bit of trouble
:39:05. > :39:35.here. He did well to find that gap. But
:39:36. > :39:40.Robert, he's such an attacking player, he might take this on. He
:39:41. > :39:44.will have no idea where the cue ball is going to finish. There is a bit
:39:45. > :39:56.of a gap, but he would have to be so precise to pot the red. There is the
:39:57. > :40:00.little gap, and there's no room there whatsoever. So, if he takes
:40:01. > :40:10.on, he has to pot this and just let the white go where ever it is going
:40:11. > :40:13.to go. That's a better shot. He can see the little gap, if he was to pot
:40:14. > :40:23.this. Got the perfect picture there. Didn't find the gap, but he got
:40:24. > :40:24.himself out of trouble. I say he got himself out of trouble, he is
:40:25. > :40:38.snookered. Don't know if he can sneak the
:40:39. > :40:45.black. Might not even be able to do that. He can hit the black with a
:40:46. > :40:55.very thin one... Swerving round the red. This is awkward.
:40:56. > :41:16.You can see how tight it is when there are two players, the players
:41:17. > :41:33.and the referee getting tangled up there.
:41:34. > :41:42.Can't remember the match, but I remember last year some got tangled
:41:43. > :41:48.up with the referee and knocked all the water over.
:41:49. > :41:57.The referee for this match, a good, old Sheffield boy. One of the top
:41:58. > :42:44.referees, has been for a number of years now.
:42:45. > :43:08.A bit too thin this time. The white is coming back up past the blue.
:43:09. > :43:20.A possible red on, but not easy to get nicely on to colour.
:43:21. > :43:48.Almost straight, having to screw back for the blue.
:43:49. > :43:52.Not a lot to play behind, with the yellow and green off their spots and
:43:53. > :44:07.the brown near the cushion. The target is just to play it down
:44:08. > :44:13.towards the brown and hope you get it close to the cushion. Locked off
:44:14. > :44:22.the escape route down the right side of the table. But that's given Mark
:44:23. > :44:29.something to think about here. Not a straight forward safety shot.
:44:30. > :44:34.The black slightly in the way if he was to play off the reds and go down
:44:35. > :44:44.that side of the table. Well, he's caught the black, but the
:44:45. > :46:34.right side of it. Very unusual, just one colour on its
:46:35. > :46:51.bought, so early in a frame. -- on its spot. There are never two
:46:52. > :47:08.frames identical, it's amazing. That looped bridge with the stop
:47:09. > :48:19.Dick Makro. They call it the loop. That put the yellow in a better
:48:20. > :48:49.position to get in behind. Keep the noise down, please, thank
:48:50. > :48:55.you. The referee just asking them to keep the noise down, as they come
:48:56. > :49:07.back in, playing on the other table. That match. Shortly. A half chances.
:49:08. > :49:18.Joss travelled a little bit too far. -- just travelled. Been very fluent
:49:19. > :49:32.with them long pots. It's amazing, he's played so well
:49:33. > :49:36.but I think that is the third or fourth blue like that he's missed in
:49:37. > :49:42.this match. We saw him miss a few yesterday.
:49:43. > :49:53.Yes, he was a fair way out with that one.
:49:54. > :50:00.Not straightforward, this positional shot, for Mark Selby. Don't know if
:50:01. > :50:09.the pink spot is available. He's having a good look. A few reds to
:50:10. > :50:16.the left of the pink. He might play for one of those. Can he screw back
:50:17. > :50:25.and can in the red that side of the pink? No. Foul. That was always the
:50:26. > :50:35.danger, the left middle pocket is always there. Yes, it wasn't a
:50:36. > :50:39.natural angle to screw back. Caught the red and send it toward that
:50:40. > :50:46.middle pocket. Now a chance to get in behind that yellow. He hasn't hit
:50:47. > :50:48.it as he intended, but it's going to be safe. He was trying to swing it
:50:49. > :51:45.behind the yellow. That certainly scattered the balls
:51:46. > :51:55.around. Still very awkward, the reds are nicely placed, but the blue...
:51:56. > :52:01.He's thinking to himself, if I can get onto the blue here... And if he
:52:02. > :52:05.doesn't get on the blue, the yellow is over that left corner. But worth
:52:06. > :52:18.having a go to get on the blue. He's not come far enough. It says -- it
:52:19. > :52:19.is a Long yellow. He would have loved to have travelled a few more
:52:20. > :52:36.inches and take the blue. I was just going to say, it's a
:52:37. > :52:45.difficult shot to get back up the table from the yellow. But potted in
:52:46. > :52:50.the left, and look where he finished. Bet he couldn't do that
:52:51. > :52:55.again. If this red is straight up to the corner he will take it on, but
:52:56. > :53:03.if there is an angle into the reds and pink... It's not straight, so he
:53:04. > :53:07.can't really take it on. Looking at the red to the left of the pink. He
:53:08. > :53:14.would love to play that to the centre and stun the pink to the
:53:15. > :53:20.corner. He's gone to your shot choice. A choice of two... I think
:53:21. > :53:27.he's going to take a pot on that. It's just which one he fancies more.
:53:28. > :53:31.Or is he going to take a pot on? He doesn't have to. Let's have a look
:53:32. > :53:38.at what the angle is. He can see that one, it's the other one...
:53:39. > :53:45.But you're right, he's dying to take that one on that's next to the pink.
:53:46. > :53:50.But he would have do get it because he would be leaving the one to the
:53:51. > :53:52.right of the black. If this is straight, will take it up into the
:53:53. > :54:05.corner. He knows he hit that well. Yeah, no problem without red, it was
:54:06. > :54:10.the easier pot. But the positional play wasn't good. He has the cue
:54:11. > :54:16.power to come back down. This is not an easy shot. Where as the red in
:54:17. > :54:18.the middle was more difficult but gave better position. He has made it
:54:19. > :54:32.look easy. He's hit that too well, believe it
:54:33. > :54:37.or not. And that's top spin again. He really does generate lots of
:54:38. > :54:41.power, or whether he's screwing back or following through. Will he
:54:42. > :54:58.managed to sneak this in? When for the blue, and in the end
:54:59. > :55:20.didn't take a good enough look at the potting angle.
:55:21. > :55:29.That was a bit better, the pot. It probably looked easy on your screen
:55:30. > :55:37.but when you are 7-2 ahead and then 7-6, means Mark Selby is under
:55:38. > :55:41.extreme pressure at the moment. Desperate to get a frame on the
:55:42. > :55:46.board. To gain an advantage in this match. Yes, Stephen, it's time for
:55:47. > :55:59.the world number one to go to work, it really is.
:56:00. > :56:17.The pink must be tight. Had a look at it from both ends.
:56:18. > :56:24.Yes, played for the middle. The pink into the corner. Must've been very
:56:25. > :56:38.tight indeed. He gets down on the shot well, Mark
:56:39. > :56:42.Selby. He's quite a tall player, well over six feet tall, but he
:56:43. > :56:55.stands and gets down nicely on the shot. Reminds me bit of John Paul
:56:56. > :57:02.Merton, -- Pullman, a former world champion. He was a similar height.
:57:03. > :57:09.He may be forced to play the black Hill. -- here.
:57:10. > :57:16.One of those shortly played before that was similar, round the table,
:57:17. > :57:28.three cushions round the back of the yellow. A choice of at least three
:57:29. > :57:33.reds to the corner. There it goes, round the back of the yellow, and
:57:34. > :58:11.he's missed the blue as well. A good shot that.
:58:12. > :58:18.We are out of time on BBC Two, but coverage of this match continues on
:58:19. > :58:22.the red button. If you want Neil Robertson against Michael Holt, that
:58:23. > :58:29.is available on the BBC sport website, connected televisions and
:58:30. > :58:35.BBC sport app. Hazel will be back at 1pm with further coverage, as we
:58:36. > :58:38.concentrate on Mark Allen against Mitchell Mann.
