:00:33. > :00:40.Hello and good afternoon and welcome back to the Crucible in Sheffield.

:00:41. > :00:46.Day 6 of the 2017 World Championship. We had a big shock

:00:47. > :00:53.here last night, Judd Trump crashing out at the first round. However the

:00:54. > :01:02.second round starts today and a former world champion is taking

:01:03. > :01:10.centre stage. The 2015 Crucible king was pushed by Peter Ebdon in round

:01:11. > :01:13.one, but is in good shape. But it is another tough test, Kyren Wilson

:01:14. > :01:24.will be confident of seeing off Bingham. In 2010, the world champion

:01:25. > :01:29.Neil Robertson is almost into the last 16. He leads Noppon Saengkham,

:01:30. > :01:35.who made his debut here yesterday. And it is one of the biggest days at

:01:36. > :01:42.the Crucible. Today snooker hosts disability day and we will talk

:01:43. > :01:50.about the sport's ambitions later. It is an exciting day when the

:01:51. > :01:56.second round starts. Neil Robertson needs two more frames against Noppon

:01:57. > :02:02.Saengkham. Our live match sees Stuart Bingham taking on Kyren

:02:03. > :02:06.Wilson. And good afternoon chaps, a big crowd here and this is where the

:02:07. > :02:12.tournament starts to hot up? As a seed it probably is. You are looking

:02:13. > :02:18.at the draw, thinking I don't want a potential banana skin. You're best

:02:19. > :02:27.of 25 and you're past that. So this is where it kicks off. Does it the

:02:28. > :02:35.get more tense? For the players thinking of winning this is where

:02:36. > :02:39.the business end starts. Is there anybody standing out for you yet?

:02:40. > :02:44.You know at the start you have got to look at Mark Selby, he is miles

:02:45. > :02:48.ahead in the ranking and twice a winner. He will take a lot of

:02:49. > :02:53.beating. Listen, there are is plenty of players and I don't share the

:02:54. > :03:01.view the bottom half is easy. There is plenty of snooker to be played.

:03:02. > :03:06.But Selby is favourite. We have lost Judd Trump, is anybody looking like

:03:07. > :03:11.a future world champion. It is wide-open. Tonight we have got

:03:12. > :03:18.O'Sullivan against Murphy, that could be a final. We have had a

:03:19. > :03:23.number of big stories, Ronnie O'Sullivan's outburst and last night

:03:24. > :03:28.Judd Trump is knocked out of this year's World Championship and he

:03:29. > :03:35.possibly faces a fine from snooker bosses for refusing to fulfil his

:03:36. > :03:43.postmatch media duties. He was beaten 10-8 in the fist round. His

:03:44. > :03:48.agent said hoefs unable to -- said he was unable to talk to the media.

:03:49. > :03:55.I feel good now, the pressure is dying as we speak. Anything you do

:03:56. > :04:00.at the Crucible is brilliant to. Beat the No 2 in the world, I feel

:04:01. > :04:06.good. It ain't sank in, but I feel good. I wasn't watching him, more

:04:07. > :04:13.than seeing the balls he was hammering in. I'm 46 years old, we

:04:14. > :04:18.have our own aches and pains. Can't be worrying about anybody else can

:04:19. > :04:22.I? It is a great line for Rory McLeod and it feels right that we

:04:23. > :04:26.talk about him first before the Judd Trump possible fine. A wonderful

:04:27. > :04:32.night for Rory, but at one stage when we were watching that match the

:04:33. > :04:38.day before it never looked in doubt. He was in control. I'm impressed by

:04:39. > :04:44.holding himself together against something who was struggling and

:04:45. > :04:47.#1250i78s you -- sometimes you think, he is not playing well. You

:04:48. > :04:53.have got to hold yourself together and he did very well. He was in the

:04:54. > :04:57.zone. We saw him in the practice room the night before. Yes and he

:04:58. > :05:04.had to wait all day for that last frame. That must have been, it must

:05:05. > :05:09.have seemed like an age. But a fantastic result for Rory. Now Judd

:05:10. > :05:14.Trump, his agent said he was up able to do his media duties because of

:05:15. > :05:17.illness. Now, I don't want to speculate, but a shoulder injury

:05:18. > :05:23.shouldn't stop you from talking to the media. The world's gone mad. In

:05:24. > :05:28.my day it was difficult to make a hundred break, but easy to go to a

:05:29. > :05:32.press conference. Now you can't go to a press conference and everyone

:05:33. > :05:38.can make a hundred break. It is just, he is gutted. He has thrown

:05:39. > :05:42.away another opportunity at winning the World Championship, world No 2,

:05:43. > :05:48.highest break 65, just wasn't good enough. He is very disappointed.

:05:49. > :05:55.Does it portray the sport in a good light when O'Sullivan says he won't

:05:56. > :06:00.talk to the press and Judd Trump not going into a news conference. The

:06:01. > :06:04.press are there to do their job and report what is happening and he

:06:05. > :06:09.refuses to speak to the press? It is difficult. It is difficult for me to

:06:10. > :06:14.comment. I've nothing to do with it really. The press, snooker doesn't

:06:15. > :06:17.get a lot of column inches in newspapers, so everything helps. If

:06:18. > :06:24.they're not going to do press conferences it won't help. Well

:06:25. > :06:28.dodged! Thanks! All I will say you have a contract you signed and part

:06:29. > :06:34.of the contract is you have got to do the media duties. Just go in,

:06:35. > :06:42.talk about the match, be as bland as you like. Just say one word answers.

:06:43. > :06:48.Go in, say how much you enjoyed played, praise your opponent. It is

:06:49. > :06:54.not hard. We will hear more thab that story. -- about that story. Now

:06:55. > :07:11.back to st snooker and Kyren Wilson taking on Stuart Bingham.

:07:12. > :07:20.Kyren, an excellent win against the sort of player who can beat anybody.

:07:21. > :07:23.I have got to give David credit, he held himself together very well. He

:07:24. > :07:29.would have had a lot of pressure on his shoulders. He had a lot of lads

:07:30. > :07:37.coming up to support him, being a local lad. . So I was happy to get

:07:38. > :07:42.over the line. What are you expectation -- What are your

:07:43. > :07:49.expectation and how has practice gone. I love it here, as all the

:07:50. > :07:57.players do, it is the best place to play snooker. To be here as a top 16

:07:58. > :08:01.seed this year is even more special on the 40th anniversary is amazing.

:08:02. > :08:05.With regard to your career and your life in general, how much of it, of

:08:06. > :08:11.a difference has it made to you being a dad and having young Finlay

:08:12. > :08:16.around? Yes it is massive, it has turned from being a hobby to being a

:08:17. > :08:22.job, I have got to earn a living for him and to have him here, as soon as

:08:23. > :08:27.he sees me on TV, he is screaming, come on dad. It is nice to have him

:08:28. > :08:32.here. And it is a nice lease of life if I need picking up. Stuart Bingham

:08:33. > :08:38.will be relieved, as all the seeds are, to get this fist round out of

:08:39. > :08:43.way. Looking forward to your next game with Stuart Bingham, former

:08:44. > :08:49.worm champion. -- world champion? Yes he has won it before, so I'm

:08:50. > :08:54.going to be an underdog. He is an experienced pro and I'm sure it will

:08:55. > :08:59.be a tough match. I have got to put that out of my mind and foes can on

:09:00. > :09:00.-- focus on my own performance. Thank you and I wish you the best of

:09:01. > :09:15.luck. Cheers, mate. What a terrific interview. Here is

:09:16. > :09:29.the head to heads and Kyren Wilson leads 2-0. They first met in 2013.

:09:30. > :09:38.Stuart Bingham's record, knocked out in 2014 in the fist round here. --

:09:39. > :09:45.first round here. And won it against Shaun Murphy. Got knocked out in the

:09:46. > :09:49.first round last year. A victim of the Crucible curse. Here we are the

:09:50. > :09:55.players are standing by, what do you think is going through that young

:09:56. > :09:59.man's mind, Peter Ebdon thinks he can be a future champion. That comes

:10:00. > :10:04.with its own pressure. It is wonderful to hear, but like all the

:10:05. > :10:08.players, you need a good start. The players are standing by and let's

:10:09. > :10:14.say go afternoon to Rob Walker. Thank you. Good afternoon. It is our

:10:15. > :10:18.cross over day at the Crucible, where we finish the first round

:10:19. > :10:25.action at the same time as the drive for the quarter times begin. It is

:10:26. > :10:31.day 6 and you can sense the tension rising here in Sheffield.

:10:32. > :10:53.Please welcome the last debutant left in this year's championship,

:10:54. > :11:00.quarter-finalist at last season's China Open, a huge task, but he will

:11:01. > :11:04.give it everything, from Thailand, Noppon Saengkham.

:11:05. > :11:26.And his opponent, a player who has without doubt established himself as

:11:27. > :11:32.one of the game's greats since his arrival from Australia just over a

:11:33. > :11:36.decade ago. 12 times a ranking event winner, king of Crucible in 2010,

:11:37. > :11:42.aiming for a ninth appearance in the second round, can you hear the

:11:43. > :11:54.Thunder from Down Under, here's Neil Robertson slam sclam

:11:55. > :12:13.APPLAUSE. On table 2, a man making his second appearance in the last

:12:14. > :12:16.16. Winner of last season's Shanghai Masters, he made the final in India

:12:17. > :12:18.this season. Now established in the world's top 16 they call him The

:12:19. > :12:52.Warrior, they call him Kyren Wilson. His opponent here after knocking out

:12:53. > :12:58.former world champion Peter ebb on the, champion of the world in 2015,

:12:59. > :13:01.winner of the Welsh in February, these pride of Essex he is the Bull

:13:02. > :13:22.Run. He is Stuart Bingham. Every shot covered for you on the

:13:23. > :13:26.BBC from the Crucible. Neil Robertson and Noppon Saengkham is

:13:27. > :13:31.available on the red button and the web-site. Dennis Taylor and Ken

:13:32. > :13:36.Docherty for that. Live from the Crucible this afternoon it is

:13:37. > :13:47.Bingham, Wilson and a very good afternoon to Willie thorn and Peter

:13:48. > :13:55.Ebdon. COMMENTATOR: The first of the second round matches about to begin.

:13:56. > :14:00.Now it is the best of 25. It is eight frames in the first session.

:14:01. > :14:09.Peter, you're a big fan of Kyren, I think it is 50/50 this game? It is a

:14:10. > :14:15.fascinating battle in prospect. One of the game's great ambassadors and

:14:16. > :14:21.champions, former world champion, in Stuart Bingham. One of the hardest

:14:22. > :14:27.workers on the sish kit, deserves everything he gets from the game,

:14:28. > :14:36.against one of game's young talents and a future champion for sure. That

:14:37. > :14:40.is not a bad way to start. The first shot if you get them, it gives you a

:14:41. > :14:47.boost and you think, that's handy I'm cueing well. Like all of the

:14:48. > :14:49.good players, rather than play a shot for nothing, they play a shot

:14:50. > :15:10.for something. He is trying to get on to the red to

:15:11. > :15:15.the left of the black. Could have done with coming down another six

:15:16. > :15:18.inches. I'm not sure from this angle he can do that without moving the

:15:19. > :15:32.black. If that white had been another foot

:15:33. > :15:36.down it would have been an easy shot to flick the red away from the

:15:37. > :16:04.black. As it is now, safety shot coming up.

:16:05. > :16:14.Peter, you were practicing with Kyren, in practice he must be a

:16:15. > :16:20.heavy scorer zm? Yes, he is a great all-round player. Excellent safety

:16:21. > :16:24.player. His long game is tremendous. Scores very heavily among the balls.

:16:25. > :16:28.One of the best players with a rest I have seen. And he also is very

:16:29. > :16:40.central striking. To be honest, he doesn't have any

:16:41. > :16:45.weaknesses in his game and in my honest professional opinion, he just

:16:46. > :16:48.needs a bit more experience. But he is certainly capable of winning this

:16:49. > :16:56.tournament. He is good enough, that is for sure.

:16:57. > :17:03.He has a very tough opponent here in Stuart Bingham though. It is a

:17:04. > :17:31.fascinating match in progress, that is for sure.

:17:32. > :17:40.Wilson always plays the attacking shot.

:17:41. > :17:51.Never afraid to play the right shot. The slight chaps he could run

:17:52. > :17:58.through and play the black. But the black will be very difficult.

:17:59. > :18:07.Played it in off the left-hand jaw actually. This is really tough, if

:18:08. > :18:33.he decides to take this on. Very interesting to see Stuart

:18:34. > :18:41.Bingham. He has had a new waistcoat made and he has a ruby back on it

:18:42. > :18:51.and it is the 40th anniversary of the Crucible. It is a nice touch. To

:18:52. > :19:07.celebrate 40 years at the Crucible. That is an unlucky kiss.

:19:08. > :19:28.I must admit, I thought it was a green-backed waistcoat.

:19:29. > :19:35.There is the badge the players have, 40th anniversary of this magnificent

:19:36. > :19:46.Championship and we have at least another ten years to come.

:19:47. > :19:54.That's squared up a bit off the second cushion. I thought that was

:19:55. > :20:00.going to be perfect. They don't seem to be sliding off second cushions,

:20:01. > :20:04.where they normally do, Peter? They have only been re-clothed recently

:20:05. > :20:07.as well. So he should be getting some slip and slide from the

:20:08. > :20:20.cushions. They shouldn't be squaring up too much.

:20:21. > :20:32.That time there was a lot of slide. If this red goes, he certainly won't

:20:33. > :20:37.be having the cue ball replaced. Obviously very tight. But from

:20:38. > :20:47.Stuart's body language, this does go. Oh, that is really tight. You

:20:48. > :20:50.can see the left-hand jaw. We talk about players pinching pockets

:20:51. > :20:59.sometimes and he will have to do that to pot this. He has done

:21:00. > :21:03.nicely. Well done. That is a poor shot from Kyren really. But he

:21:04. > :21:10.escaped from the snooker. May decide to go into that cluster of six reds

:21:11. > :21:19.just to open them up. He can play that pacy as well if he wanted to.

:21:20. > :21:41.He has not gone into them. He may regret that in a moment.

:21:42. > :21:53.Stuart played that very well. Never easy when you're digging down on to

:21:54. > :21:56.the cue ball. With the butt of cue in the air. I is easy to put some

:21:57. > :22:11.unwanted side on. He is not in prime position. Simply

:22:12. > :22:14.because he is having to stretch all this green. May end up playing the

:22:15. > :22:31.shot with the rest. He will hope to avoid the yellow and

:22:32. > :22:38.blue. Avoided the yellow. Didn't avoid the blue. But that's OK. Well

:22:39. > :22:39.played. In your eye line, you will think I want to finish anywhere

:22:40. > :22:51.around the blue. This was the reason I thought he may

:22:52. > :22:55.have played into the bunch when he had the easy black. He may have a

:22:56. > :22:57.slight angle to play a cannon. If not he will have to play for the red

:22:58. > :23:11.on the side cushion. This is where the work starts. He

:23:12. > :23:33.has to finish low on this next black.

:23:34. > :23:39.Always interesting to see how players play this particular shot.

:23:40. > :23:45.To get it perfect, you need to hit the joint of the red, the three reds

:23:46. > :23:50.in front, the joint of the one on right-hand side and the middle one.

:23:51. > :23:55.If he hits one full ball, he may not get a lot of movement. That is the

:23:56. > :24:00.problem with hitting full ball. You can't get full movement. If he had

:24:01. > :24:07.caught it half ball it would have be better.

:24:08. > :24:13.Stuart will consider himself unfortunate will, because he played

:24:14. > :24:17.wit plenty of -- it with plenty of pace.

:24:18. > :24:31.But didn't get the correct cannon. This is tough. Wow slam! Thought

:24:32. > :24:36.that was in. There is a gap. There is always a gap.

:24:37. > :24:40.That was the first real chance of Stuart Bingham. He may not get

:24:41. > :25:01.another one in this frame. Kyren's finished a bit straight on

:25:02. > :25:16.the black. But he does have plenty of cue power.

:25:17. > :25:24.He has got into that too well. I think he's just OK. Interesting to

:25:25. > :25:29.watch the white, because it is a new cloth, it skidded and then the side

:25:30. > :25:47.spin took and the screw back speeded up.

:25:48. > :25:58.Just playing for the bottom one of the four. No, played a cannon. Don't

:25:59. > :26:03.blame him for that. Watch this a black he played, with a new cloth

:26:04. > :26:09.they skid. The white seemed to stop for a while and then speed up. It is

:26:10. > :26:13.a brilliant shot. To be honest, it was a good job he didn't get any

:26:14. > :26:16.bounce off the side cushion, otherwise he would have snookered

:26:17. > :26:27.himself behind the blue. That was a good indication of how

:26:28. > :26:35.much cue power Kyren Wilson possesses. This is an excellent

:26:36. > :27:19.chance to take this first frame of the afternoon.

:27:20. > :27:26.It is a fascinating clash, because both of these top players score

:27:27. > :27:47.heavily among the balls when they're playing well.

:27:48. > :27:51.That is a nice cannon to hold perfect position for the pink into

:27:52. > :28:15.the left-centre. Well played. He maybe should perhaps have had a

:28:16. > :28:36.look at the black, because he will need the brown in a moment.

:28:37. > :28:44.The brown is and the way the baulk pockets play, you would want to move

:28:45. > :28:49.this brown into play. Yes, because if you get right behind the brown,

:28:50. > :28:51.you have got to play it at dead weight to give the pocket a chance

:28:52. > :29:14.of accepting the ball. It doesn't look like he had the

:29:15. > :29:20.angle to bring the brown out. I think he has come back an inch too

:29:21. > :29:23.far. May have to play this with with a lot of side. He will play the

:29:24. > :29:44.cannon, make no mistake. There is the side. How's the cannon.

:29:45. > :29:52.Missed it. No value at all in going for the pot. But how does he get

:29:53. > :29:57.safe? Well, knowing Kyren and the fact that he is a very aggressive

:29:58. > :30:03.and attacking player, I wouldn't be surprised if he took this brown on.

:30:04. > :30:08.I'm not saying it's the right shot. But he has a tough safety shot. I

:30:09. > :30:12.can't see a safety shot to be honest. Unless he played it cushion

:30:13. > :30:18.first and tried to get the brown thin. But the brown's going to come

:30:19. > :30:29.into open play. So that is not a good choice. Faced with a dilemma

:30:30. > :30:41.here. A very tough pot. Or an equally difficult safety shot.

:30:42. > :30:58.That was tough, he's been very fortunate there. I don't think there

:30:59. > :31:07.was any way in the world heated play this low pot and leave himself on.

:31:08. > :31:10.Has to make sure the brown comes to at least behind the brown spot

:31:11. > :31:26.again. This is very good. This is tight. Just a little bit too much.

:31:27. > :31:43.This is certainly a thin one if he decides to take this on. And

:31:44. > :32:05.although it's not easy, this is a chance for Stuart.

:32:06. > :32:13.I think he slightly earned on the side of caution there. Yes, holds

:32:14. > :32:21.best hitting it thin rather than thick. The cue ball would be loose

:32:22. > :32:27.if he bit thick. Kyren Wilson would like to get the white somewhere near

:32:28. > :32:31.where it is now. If it goes in and he will be on the blue. The cue ball

:32:32. > :32:40.will be in a similar position to where it is now. APPLAUSE

:32:41. > :32:53.He got a good case. Or is it a bad one? It's a bad one.

:32:54. > :33:05.23 points ahead with only 18 on the table. Stuart Bingham requires one

:33:06. > :33:16.five point snooker to possibly force a restart. He could also choose, if

:33:17. > :33:22.the opportunity arose to pot the blue and get a six point snooker.

:33:23. > :33:27.The pink and black on the table only. That was very unlucky. But

:33:28. > :33:28.obviously far more difficult to get the snooker when there are less

:33:29. > :33:49.balls on the table. Barring that snooker, it looks like

:33:50. > :34:25.Kyren Wilson will take a one-frame lead in this match.

:34:26. > :34:33.He's just wondering whether to play it slow. As Peter said, he only

:34:34. > :34:42.needs one snooker to win if he pads the blue. -- pots the blue.

:34:43. > :34:48.Stuart has a real good chance to swing in round three cushions and

:34:49. > :34:55.get it basically behind a blight. The blue will come to open play but

:34:56. > :35:00.as long as he keep the blue shirt of the middle pocket, this is a good

:35:01. > :35:02.chance. Maybe he feels he can't keep the blue near the middle pocket if

:35:03. > :35:40.he plays a three-cushion. That was a perfect example of what

:35:41. > :35:45.happens on the superfine cloth is when you play with power and side.

:35:46. > :35:50.In that particular instance, Kyren was playing with power on a rock --

:35:51. > :35:55.a lot of right-hand side, that makes the cue ball going to the left and

:35:56. > :36:00.you hit the object ball thick. On these clots, that type of shot

:36:01. > :36:05.requires Ruby Smith cheering. It just got through that one little bit

:36:06. > :36:10.quick, a bit of tension in the arm, which is understandable. As the

:36:11. > :36:14.first frame against a former world champion in Stuart Bingham. Now the

:36:15. > :36:20.situation we spoke about a few moments ago. Stuart Bingham now

:36:21. > :36:32.requires one snooker to possibly steal this frame it's not easy with

:36:33. > :36:40.the black being so close to the cushion. And it seemed to me as if

:36:41. > :36:46.the cue ball came off a little bit square with a bit of a bounce of the

:36:47. > :36:50.side cushion. I thought he had to Stan to get the angle to get in

:36:51. > :36:57.behind the black. Looked like he hit that playing ball. That was a real

:36:58. > :37:07.good chance to get the sticker that time. -- snooker. That helps, that

:37:08. > :37:11.chart, without that it would be impossible to get in behind the

:37:12. > :37:19.blank, with a lot of right-hand side you could sneak it behind the black.

:37:20. > :37:26.Absolutely. He'll be sending the pink down to the baulk cushion. Not

:37:27. > :37:30.played that very well told to be perfectly honest. You'll be very

:37:31. > :37:35.disappointed with that, that was a very good chance to get the cue ball

:37:36. > :38:39.close to the back. Amused that the reaction he got there.

:38:40. > :38:48.What a great effort this is. Slid off that cushion. I thought that was

:38:49. > :38:53.going to be the angle he was going there, looked to be sure to be going

:38:54. > :39:02.very close to be behind the black. As we mentioned before, new cloths

:39:03. > :39:10.today overnight. For the morning session.

:39:11. > :39:18.So we've learnt already in this match, this afternoon that the new

:39:19. > :39:22.cloth has had a huge effect on the way the table is playing because the

:39:23. > :39:26.cushions are really sliding now. There have been a couple that have

:39:27. > :39:34.come off very square in this frame, but generally lots of slide, and as

:39:35. > :39:37.we saw from the long blue that Kirmond missed with lots of

:39:38. > :39:44.right-hand side and power, the cloth is also throwing off very much with

:39:45. > :39:51.said. So it's going to be a real test of cueing for both players.

:39:52. > :40:09.Until they become fully accustomed to the way the cloth is playing.

:40:10. > :40:21.He will try to hit this thin enough if he wants to take the pot gone.

:40:22. > :40:29.I'm not saying it's the wrong shot but could have left an easy chance

:40:30. > :40:33.for a smoker. He was trying to push the black safe but a dangerous way

:40:34. > :40:38.to play that. Although this isn't an easy shot, I think Stuart will look

:40:39. > :40:45.to hit the cushion first and send the pink up the table and leave the

:40:46. > :40:53.cue ball behind the black. It's a very tricky shot but if you judge is

:40:54. > :40:55.it well -- if he judges it well, this can be a really tough snooker

:40:56. > :41:10.to get out of. Decided against that. I'm not sure about that shot, Willy.

:41:11. > :41:14.The shot was fine but if he could stand it and get behind the black

:41:15. > :41:21.but at the minute he's not got it quite right. It's hard to 20 people

:41:22. > :41:27.watching and people here live how difficult a new cloth is sometimes.

:41:28. > :41:38.It takes a couple of frame sometimes to get used to the slide and this

:41:39. > :41:40.throw. Let's see how the pain comes off the cushion. That seemed to be

:41:41. > :42:35.OK. And this should really be the end of

:42:36. > :42:42.frame now because Kyren is able now to play a drag shot. Push the pink

:42:43. > :42:43.over the left-hand black pocket, this will either go in or go very

:42:44. > :43:00.close. The thought would have been to get

:43:01. > :43:03.right in the jobs there. There's a slight chance he could screw bits in

:43:04. > :43:20.behind the black but I don't think you'll get the curves. The pink

:43:21. > :43:42.could jaw and get the double-kiss. He's got second prize.

:43:43. > :43:48.These pockets are a little bit tough. I thought they were quite

:43:49. > :43:51.loose the first few days before they put on the new cloth. This is a

:43:52. > :44:37.chance. Goodness me. Early days but both players have

:44:38. > :44:41.struggled to get used to the cloth and the cushions and slide, as

:44:42. > :44:47.Willie was just saying there. They're either underhitting or

:44:48. > :44:52.overheating. This report contains flash photography. Overhitting. Very

:44:53. > :45:05.difficult to get a snooker here. Again, an excellent opportunity for

:45:06. > :45:17.Kyren to push the pink over the green pocket this time.

:45:18. > :45:26.Obviously decided he'd had enough of pushing balls towards pocket.

:45:27. > :45:31.Fantastic pot and that settles the first frame, Kyren Wilson leads

:45:32. > :45:35.Stuart Wilson 1-0. Lots of people on social media using the hashtag

:45:36. > :45:39.saying they agree with Peter Ebdon that Kyren Wilson will one day be a

:45:40. > :45:42.Crucible champion. If there's any questions you have for John or

:45:43. > :45:49.Stephen get in touch via social media, used the hashtag BBC snooker.

:45:50. > :45:52.Good start. On the board. All he wants is a good start. It's also

:45:53. > :45:57.held by the fact he has a good record. We mentioned at the start he

:45:58. > :46:02.was 2-0 .com are played in minor events and he won both of those, was

:46:03. > :46:06.held when you fancy the job against. What's your assessment of the

:46:07. > :46:12.opening frame? No big breaks on one visits, but it's funny because the

:46:13. > :46:17.longer the match is, I think it's more important to get that first

:46:18. > :46:21.frame on the board. Kyren Wilson is relaxed straightaway, Stuart Bingham

:46:22. > :46:26.has got to do that. It was a decent opening frame, he's done the job.

:46:27. > :46:30.You tend to be a little cagey. When you've also got a thing like that

:46:31. > :46:35.where he needs a snooker, you try to not call in off, not to miscue or

:46:36. > :46:40.give him six point easy so you get quite protective and you don't get

:46:41. > :46:45.the pink over the hole. Lots of people enjoyed that little item with

:46:46. > :46:49.Peter Ebdon and Kyren Wilson sharing a few that Kyren has got all the

:46:50. > :46:53.attributes to one day be a Crucible champion, do you agree? I think the

:46:54. > :46:56.only thing that. And there's the quality of all the other players

:46:57. > :47:01.around him. As he got the talent to do it? Probably yes but there are a

:47:02. > :47:04.lot of good players out there and you have to go and do it. We see

:47:05. > :47:09.lots of future players, it's easy to say, somebody is a future world

:47:10. > :47:13.champion, but he's very talented, got himself top 16 and has won big

:47:14. > :47:17.events, everything is there. To be world champion is a bit different

:47:18. > :47:20.but as John says, there are lots of players, Judd Trump hasn't won one

:47:21. > :47:28.yet. COMMENTATOR: Have chance for Stuart

:47:29. > :47:39.Bingham here, regular shot to nothing. Quite a long way away. I'm

:47:40. > :48:06.sure this red will pass the green. Not straight but he can screw

:48:07. > :48:10.directly back. He could overscrew this. Playing for the red that is

:48:11. > :48:15.free on the left-hand side of the pink. So concerned about the

:48:16. > :48:25.overscrew he has slightly underscrewed it.

:48:26. > :48:37.Not an ideal angle, whichever of these two grades he decides to take

:48:38. > :48:44.on. One on each side of the table. As I mentioned previously, he is

:48:45. > :48:56.normally a very good rest player. You have to say that's very unlucky.

:48:57. > :49:04.He caught that red half ball rather than quarter ball. He would have

:49:05. > :49:16.been perfect on the black. It was a good shot with the rest.

:49:17. > :49:31.If he hits the bike he would have a better pot on the red than this.

:49:32. > :49:47.Clever, didn't want to hit it on the right-hand side because it would

:49:48. > :49:58.have left an easy red. Got it wrong first time, got it perfect the

:49:59. > :50:00.second. Good opportunities year for Stuart to get the cue ball behind

:50:01. > :50:25.the green on the baulk cushion. This is quite thin shot. Needs to be

:50:26. > :50:28.careful with the enough. He needs to hit it first. REFEREE: Foul and a

:50:29. > :50:51.miss, Stuart Bingham, four. There is a tendency on no safety

:50:52. > :50:55.shots to go slightly too thin because if you go to thick comedy

:50:56. > :51:00.enough is not too much of a problem, if the cue ball rattles in the jaws

:51:01. > :51:04.of the pocket it's very easy to give your opponent a very easy

:51:05. > :51:08.opportunity. Meanwhile, Stuart Bingham's played a much better

:51:09. > :51:11.safety shots and that's where the cue ball should have been on his

:51:12. > :51:26.previous safety shot. That's much better.

:51:27. > :51:35.If this red is dead straight along the baulk cushion its an easy safety

:51:36. > :51:43.shot. Obviously too straight to get onto the black. Looks like it is

:51:44. > :52:24.possible to cut this red in. It's as fine as you like.

:52:25. > :52:30.I don't blame him for playing it like that, obviously had to play the

:52:31. > :52:34.pot and leave the white over the side of the table to make the cut

:52:35. > :52:39.into the middle. Difficult pot, unlucky to have brought that red

:52:40. > :53:45.back into play and made it easy for Kyren.

:53:46. > :53:51.We've already mentioned that Kyren is a very attacking and very

:53:52. > :53:57.aggressive player. I think you'll be taking the opportunity here to play

:53:58. > :54:07.a hard stun screw shot into the pink. Scatter the reds. Certainly

:54:08. > :54:18.don't think that's how he played it. He missed the intended cannon.

:54:19. > :54:27.That looks like end of break. Needs to put the disappointment of that

:54:28. > :54:43.opportunity wasted out of his mind and play a good safety shot.

:54:44. > :55:03.He's left Stuart Bingham a tempter. This is tough if he takes this on.

:55:04. > :55:22.Not quite settled yet this morning, Stuart Bingham.

:55:23. > :55:28.Just came round to see if the potting angle was OK on this red.

:55:29. > :55:36.One of those that you virtually screw it in and hit the white off

:55:37. > :55:46.two cushions and that's what he's done. Well played.

:55:47. > :55:59.Has a nice angle on the green. To go into the reds. Should he choose to

:56:00. > :56:05.do that. There's a possibility of a plant that could be made at the

:56:06. > :56:09.bottom of the. Slightly offset and there are a couple of inches between

:56:10. > :56:11.the balls. Selecting to take the brown instead of going into the reds

:56:12. > :56:24.from the green. He may well be on that plant, he may

:56:25. > :56:28.well be able to make this but to be honest he was very fortunate to

:56:29. > :56:32.finish on this plant like this. I think the green would have been the

:56:33. > :56:35.easier shot to play, Willie. Finished absolutely plumb because he

:56:36. > :56:41.doesn't have to do anything with the cue ball. This will take on nicely

:56:42. > :56:46.onto the black. Needs another Kizzire, there's a gap between the

:56:47. > :56:52.two reds above the black. If he hits the red full ball he'll be plumb on

:56:53. > :56:58.two reds, so this is a good chance now. I agree with Peter, the brown

:56:59. > :57:04.was fortunate but that's the case we were talking about. That becomes a

:57:05. > :57:06.frame-winning opportunity. It was interesting to see before the

:57:07. > :57:11.previous shot there that Kyren Wilson just held his hand up to

:57:12. > :57:22.apologise to Stuart Bingham. He realised he was very fortunate to

:57:23. > :57:28.finish up on that plant. This is not absolutely straightforward because

:57:29. > :57:34.you've got the difficulty of the usage of the spider and he also

:57:35. > :57:43.needs to avoid the cannon on both the red and the black.

:57:44. > :58:49.There may I even be another plant there.

:58:50. > :59:00.That is nicely played. Left himself a red in the middle.

:59:01. > :59:09.After this red, all the reds are available. Doesn't have to play any

:59:10. > :59:15.more cannons. A bit Exxon certained for Stuart -- concerned for Stuart's

:59:16. > :59:19.supporters, he hasn't settled yet. His pace of cue ball and his safety

:59:20. > :59:26.and his break-building has been astray so far this afternoon. We

:59:27. > :59:28.used to play morning sessions, we have not started until 1 o'clock

:59:29. > :59:33.today. The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:34. > :59:37.43. Do more The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:38. > :59:37.to 43, The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:38. > :59:37.43. Do more reds, The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:38. > :59:37.to 43, saw The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:38. > :59:37.43. Do more reds, two The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:38. > :59:38.to 43, saw two more The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:39. > :59:38.43. Do more reds, two colours The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:39. > :59:38.to 43, saw two more reds The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:39. > :59:38.43. Do more reds, two colours and The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:39. > :59:38.to 43, saw two more reds and two The break goes to 36, the lead goes

:59:39. > :59:39.43. Do more reds, two colours and he will lead 2-0.

:59:40. > :59:40.to 43, saw two more reds and two colours and Kyren Wilson will lead

:59:41. > :00:36.2-0. The frame is now safe, can he get

:00:37. > :01:28.the first century of this match? Played for slightly more difficult

:01:29. > :01:33.red. Stuart Bingham not looking in total control of his emotions at the

:01:34. > :01:41.moment. He is just trying to get his concentration right. That is not a

:01:42. > :01:42.bad kiss, he can drop behind the red for choice of middle pocket or

:01:43. > :02:13.corner. What a shame. No century, but an

:02:14. > :03:17.excellent break of 71. Stuart Bingham trails 2-0.

:03:18. > :03:27.Interesting to see the stats, one thing I noticed with the centuries

:03:28. > :03:33.made, Kyren Wilson had been getting six or seven a season. And then this

:03:34. > :03:41.season 27. So that has improved immensely with Kyren over the last

:03:42. > :03:46.year or so. Perhaps he owes my colleague Peter Ebdon a lot. He said

:03:47. > :03:54.he is a very good break-builder and that is beginning to show with his

:03:55. > :04:01.tournament centuries this season. REFEREE: Frame 3, Stuart Bingham to

:04:02. > :04:17.break. Stuart Bingham gets us under way. The third frame. In this second

:04:18. > :04:31.round match. This year's Betfred World Snooker Championship.

:04:32. > :04:43.Quite some way away. The attempted long pot there.

:04:44. > :04:48.Can Stuart not miss long red into the right-hand black pocket and go

:04:49. > :05:03.through the gap? Stay on the black. That was a good

:05:04. > :05:09.pot. But unfortunately for him cannoned into the balls. Clean

:05:10. > :05:13.strike. Right into the heart of the pocket. He was almost certainly

:05:14. > :05:18.playing for blue. That is a very good safety shot.

:05:19. > :06:06.Well played. Very difficult to compare this

:06:07. > :06:11.safety shot, if he plays back into the baulk area it would have been

:06:12. > :06:26.difficult to cover that red up that is loose on the left-hand side.

:06:27. > :06:37.I was in the players' room before the start of match and Finlay was

:06:38. > :06:41.there and he wanted the TV set switched on and as soon as he saw

:06:42. > :06:56.the Snooker tables, he said, daddy! This is a better shot. Brought the

:06:57. > :07:04.back into play. Covered the red up the middle. Very good safety.

:07:05. > :07:28.Wow! That is fantastic cueing. Excellent shot, wasn't it? Head kept

:07:29. > :07:37.perfectly still. He would love to get on to the red near test pack.

:07:38. > :07:50.Couldn't do it from that particular shot.

:07:51. > :08:17.What an excellent first red that was.

:08:18. > :09:47.Din get into the cue -- didn't get into the cue ball enough.

:09:48. > :09:56.Sometimes you have no option but to play containing safety. Knowing next

:09:57. > :10:13.time you will be faced with a more difficult one.

:10:14. > :11:05.I'm not sure Stuart has got the pace of the table at all, Stuart.

:11:06. > :11:19.That is a good safety shot there from Stuart Bingham. Kyren Wilson

:11:20. > :11:23.does have the opportunity to play a good return safety.

:11:24. > :11:34.He needs to avoid the black. This needs to be thin. That is a very

:11:35. > :11:39.good attempt. Slightly unfortunate not to just creep past the brown.

:11:40. > :11:48.That would have put Stuart in a bit of trouble. Could be a plant on here

:11:49. > :11:53.though. He is going to have a look at that plant. It is not the one at

:11:54. > :11:58.the back of the pack. It is the possible three-ball pack in the

:11:59. > :12:04.middle of bunch. He will be taking the cue ball back to baulk.

:12:05. > :12:09.The plant wasn't on, so the safety shot was the easier option. He has

:12:10. > :13:29.played that pretty well. Stuart will be pleased to see where

:13:30. > :13:35.the white's ended up, because he thought it may kiss the blue. Thing

:13:36. > :13:39.is pot is almost straight. He won't take the long red on. There is one

:13:40. > :13:44.in the pack that cuts into the corner.

:13:45. > :13:55.That is the one. Oh, goodness me - how close was that? Wow, that is so

:13:56. > :14:02.unlucky. He hit that absolutely perfectly. Unfortunately the white

:14:03. > :14:11.caught the jaws of the middle pocket and has left this on.

:14:12. > :14:22.Just not happening for Stuart Bingham this morning. That was a

:14:23. > :14:39.decent opportunity to get going. Just faced with a safety shot now. A

:14:40. > :15:15.possible snooker. Just hasn't settled yet this morning.

:15:16. > :15:24.There is just that one. I believe he has played off two cushions to hit

:15:25. > :15:56.that red to be honest. Very hard to judge.

:15:57. > :16:06.Very good shot. But this red is possibly on in the middle. Pretty

:16:07. > :16:12.sure the pink into the opposite corner.

:16:13. > :16:45.Oh he is on the move there. He thought that was in.

:16:46. > :16:52.That was a reprieve for Stuart Bingham. He thought have thought

:16:53. > :17:50.that Kyren Wilson was going to pot that red without a problem.

:17:51. > :17:59.He he put the tip of the you is where he would like the white to

:18:00. > :18:04.finish. And not leave anything in the pack. Slightly underhit. He has

:18:05. > :18:09.played that cue ball two feet past the blue. It shows you how Stuart

:18:10. > :19:19.has not yet got control of his timing at the moment.

:19:20. > :19:29.I think he can just see the red to the edge of the pink. The one to the

:19:30. > :19:54.edge of the pack. And he could get into the brown and yellow here.

:19:55. > :20:38.That was a good reply from Stuart bank Bingham.

:20:39. > :21:00.Kyren Wilson would love to take the red on that's closest to the black.

:21:01. > :21:06.You mentioned Willie you thought the table was running a bit slower this

:21:07. > :21:12.morning with the new cloth. That was a prime example. He hit that very

:21:13. > :21:21.hard. OK he hit it slightly thick, but the cue ball's gone nowhere.

:21:22. > :21:28.Luckily for Kyren the red has gone close to the cushion. So no easy

:21:29. > :21:32.outlet for Stuart. You play a lot of right-hand side and try and get the

:21:33. > :21:39.white somewhere near the yellow and be careful he doesn't go in-off.

:21:40. > :21:42.There is the side you see, that what is I was worried about. It is not

:21:43. > :22:24.too bad. That was a good effort at a safety

:22:25. > :22:29.shot. Bar the in-off. Put Stuart in all sorts of trouble. Will he be

:22:30. > :22:44.tremented here with this tempted here with this red?

:22:45. > :22:55.Just not happening for Stuart Bingham this morning.

:22:56. > :23:24.As you know this is the best of 25 frames, but each session, if you're

:23:25. > :23:30.going to lose a session, obviously 5-3 is the worst you could hope for,

:23:31. > :23:33.but you know you have got to be very careful now 3-0 behind, he has got

:23:34. > :23:38.to get something out of this session. Two more sexes to go after

:23:39. > :24:17.this -- sessions to go after this one. He is going to be worrying.

:24:18. > :24:30.He didn't really want to take this red on. Presumably the pink spot's

:24:31. > :24:34.covered. So he can play for the bottom red of the three. Or maybe it

:24:35. > :25:08.does spot looking at that. He will be flicking off the red and

:25:09. > :25:15.trying to leave the pink where it is, which means it will pot. He has

:25:16. > :25:21.played that nicely. He looks at it. It is one of those that it pots off

:25:22. > :25:29.the right-hand jaw, but he would be better off taking green.

:25:30. > :25:33.He is cutting the blue into the middle. This has become a chance to

:25:34. > :26:14.win the third frame. That was a very good recovery shot

:26:15. > :26:17.from Kyren Wilson. Previously underhit the blue into the centre

:26:18. > :26:26.and didn't finish in an ideal position. He played a delicate skew

:26:27. > :26:30.shot with -- screw shots with lots of right-hand side.

:26:31. > :26:42.Both players have been struggling for positional play.

:26:43. > :26:52.The table obviously playing a little slower than it was previously.

:26:53. > :27:02.With the new cloth that's gone on. That used all of the pocket. We see

:27:03. > :27:08.a good example of Kyren Wilson's cue power. He played a deep screw and he

:27:09. > :27:13.will try and get on to the red in the left-hand corner pocket.

:27:14. > :27:20.He got too much on that one. So that is the end of break and a reprieve

:27:21. > :28:22.for Stuart Bingham. Although this yellow looks

:28:23. > :28:24.comparatively straight forward, if he plays this with pace, this is

:28:25. > :28:34.missable. He played that really well. How is

:28:35. > :28:41.he on the red? That is desperately unlucky. Yes, he would have loved to

:28:42. > :28:46.have played it really hard. Because it was a big target to play a cannon

:28:47. > :28:52.on the two reds to the side of the black. But it was missable playing

:28:53. > :28:57.it hard. Unlucky not to have finished short. A good safety shot

:28:58. > :29:01.required. He is only 31 points behind.

:29:02. > :29:31.All with the balls being in play, there is a chance in this frame.

:29:32. > :29:39.That is the first poor safety shot he has played. There is value in

:29:40. > :29:43.kissing into the two reds. The key thing is bringing the two reds into

:29:44. > :29:54.play. He would like to hit them not

:29:55. > :29:57.cushion first, because he could ends up on the cushion if he hints the

:29:58. > :30:04.cushion first. He got the white moving and that is

:30:05. > :30:10.the only problem, brought everything into play for a chance to win the

:30:11. > :30:45.frame and unfortunately he has gone close to the cushion.

:30:46. > :30:52.Happy the table is running slow because he thought he overhead that.

:30:53. > :30:59.The black pots on the left-hand corner. Doesn't have to do anything

:31:00. > :31:04.with the cue ball. Will naturally come onto the red if it does pot.

:31:05. > :31:21.The black is tight. So tight, didn't play for it. Still

:31:22. > :31:38.a good shot. Under normal sons services you would

:31:39. > :31:45.say Stuart Bingham could clear up but not too sure yet. -- under

:31:46. > :31:51.normal circumstances. Certainly favourite to close the gap to 2-1. A

:31:52. > :32:57.few moments ago he looked like it would be 3-0.

:32:58. > :33:03.He got the bounce of the cushion, the first bounce we've had in the

:33:04. > :33:09.afternoon session. Just having a little look. Took real big bounce,

:33:10. > :33:11.still OK on the green but would have been perfect if the white was a foot

:33:12. > :33:36.shorter. Jazz has to finish on the screen

:33:37. > :33:42.nicely. That was the problem. Anywhere but there are. -- just has

:33:43. > :34:03.to finish on this green nightly. It looks as if Stuart is going to

:34:04. > :34:12.try to cut this in. There will be lots of right-hand side. Not so sure

:34:13. > :34:19.that was the right shot because he had an easy snooker behind the

:34:20. > :34:25.brown. He was so disappointed to be on the green. 100%, that was sheer

:34:26. > :34:30.disappointment not finishing on the green. This was really tough. Lots

:34:31. > :34:54.of check right-hand side. That was dangerous, each he overhead

:34:55. > :35:04.that. This is a key shot. -- overhit. Nine points in front, just

:35:05. > :35:12.brown and blue needed. He said he was good with the risk, every he has

:35:13. > :35:16.played so far have been right in the middle of the pocket. Four out of

:35:17. > :35:23.four. We get another indication how much slower this table is playing.

:35:24. > :35:41.He will be mightily relieved to be going 3-0 up.

:35:42. > :35:52.Kyren Wilson leading three frames to Neil. Very disappointing Stuart

:35:53. > :35:57.Bingham sitting in his chair. Struggled to get used to the speed

:35:58. > :36:02.of this course so far afternoon. STUDIO: The question at the moment,

:36:03. > :36:06.who is the former world champion in this match? Yes, he's got himself

:36:07. > :36:10.off to a poor start but he was a bit unlucky there, got a thing of the

:36:11. > :36:15.cushion, played off the blue to come into the bottom cushion. You think

:36:16. > :36:18.it's coming out normal space and it came off twice as much. One

:36:19. > :36:24.situations where you feel you should have cleared up, you think you've

:36:25. > :36:29.played the right shot. Wait a couple of good chance to start that break.

:36:30. > :36:34.Willie discredit preferably, two said France, brought everything into

:36:35. > :36:37.the open. Be really disappointed that he hasn't taken advantage. Lots

:36:38. > :36:43.of people getting in touch with us via social media. Andy wants to know

:36:44. > :36:50.what is the hardest world title that you won, which was the most

:36:51. > :36:53.difficult? You have to say the 18-17, I thought Jimmy was go to

:36:54. > :36:58.clear up unfortunately for me he twitched the black on the spot and I

:36:59. > :37:05.could clear up. That was outrageous, couldn't you just give him one World

:37:06. > :37:09.Championship? Everybody wanted Jimmy 2-1 and you couldn't give him one of

:37:10. > :37:13.those. There is a fantastic documentary coming up because we are

:37:14. > :37:15.celebrating 40 years of the Crucible and the World Championship,

:37:16. > :37:19.brilliant documentary which has been made by BBC sport going out this

:37:20. > :37:23.week on BBC Two. It's absolutely wonderful and a lot of that on

:37:24. > :37:28.Sunday night at nine o'clock and the lot of that final and there are some

:37:29. > :37:34.sparkling wonderful stuff. I think you're it as well. Bits and bobs.

:37:35. > :37:37.People. Remember... They remember Jimmy missing that black but he

:37:38. > :37:44.cleared up from their Andy he had a broken arm at the time. Jimmy missed

:37:45. > :37:48.it but he cleared up. Final frame decider in the World Championship.

:37:49. > :37:52.We're not making Jimmy White fans feeling any better. You said he won

:37:53. > :37:56.get with a broken arm. It gets forgotten because of the fact the

:37:57. > :38:00.black gets missed but he cleared up. Another couple of questions coming

:38:01. > :38:05.in, which player most likely to get 147? From what you've seen so far

:38:06. > :38:10.what might you would put Ronnie O'Sullivan in the top of that but

:38:11. > :38:15.John Higgins is capable of it. Mark Selby can do it. You want people

:38:16. > :38:19.taking the risk because it is only ?5,000 for 147. People might

:38:20. > :38:23.complain, but the fact it's the World Championship and the maximum

:38:24. > :38:27.price is lower than the high break prize. They have a rolling prize

:38:28. > :38:30.that goes on through the season but you're not going to get any one of

:38:31. > :38:34.the top players taking a risk tomb make a maximum. The original

:38:35. > :38:36.question, it will be Ronnie O'Sullivan. Keep the questions

:38:37. > :38:45.coming. COMMENTATOR: Algae interested to

:38:46. > :38:48.watch the documentary, I'm sure they'll source -- show Stephen

:38:49. > :38:58.Hendry's first visit to the Crucible.

:38:59. > :39:06.I'm sure now, to be honest, with Stuart Bingham, he's 3-0 behind, he

:39:07. > :39:38.has to put his foot on the gas. So it was a baptism of fire for the

:39:39. > :39:41.great Stephen Hendry in his first appearance at the Crucible when he

:39:42. > :39:45.came up against you in the first round. Absolutely but we knew from

:39:46. > :39:46.then on he was going to be a great player. What a great champion he's

:39:47. > :40:04.been. This could well be a re-ranking and

:40:05. > :40:08.a couple of shots time. Going nowhere. A little look at each other

:40:09. > :40:16.and they both decided to have a re-rack, so that's what's going to

:40:17. > :40:20.happen. 3-0 to Kyren Wilson, re-rack coming up. Peter, talking about

:40:21. > :40:23.Stephen Hendry's rain, the 40 years we've had at the Crucible,

:40:24. > :40:27.undoubtedly the game's greatest champion at this moment in time.

:40:28. > :40:34.Absolutely incredible, seven times world champion just so ruthless as a

:40:35. > :40:38.player. When you play Stephen and a final, very often your 4-0 down and

:40:39. > :40:43.you didn't need to play badly. They are bad safety shot or miss anything

:40:44. > :40:50.and when Stephen got two finals, invariably he go something like 90,

:40:51. > :40:53.120, 130 and you're sitting in the dressing room 4-0 down and you

:40:54. > :40:58.haven't missed the ball or played a bad safety shot and that's how good

:40:59. > :41:03.as he was. What a Stuart has decided himself now? The last brain will

:41:04. > :41:07.hurt, it should have been 2-1 and it's no 3-0. -- the last brain will

:41:08. > :41:17.hurt. They've both struggled with the speed of the table today.

:41:18. > :41:39.Too quick on the conversation we were having, why is it the same role

:41:40. > :41:45.of cloth can be played slower today than it was yesterday? It is not

:41:46. > :41:50.something you can account for. You can't explain it logically, just the

:41:51. > :41:53.way it is. Sometimes it can be atmospherics but this table are

:41:54. > :41:58.certainly playing slower and at the moment Stuart Bingham is all at sea,

:41:59. > :42:03.he's really struggling out there. Could be the fact that the role of

:42:04. > :42:07.cloth has been kept in a place that stamp, which until they put it on

:42:08. > :42:12.the table, the table heater hasn't had a chance to dry the table out

:42:13. > :42:20.but it's at 45 degrees but maybe it will play better tonight. There is a

:42:21. > :42:31.very good chance of that. Meanwhile, what are shot batters. -- what a

:42:32. > :42:36.shot that is. That was very thin. It's really thin. Just flicks the

:42:37. > :42:55.blue. He's got a result because the blue passes the pink.

:42:56. > :43:03.Again, not too much reaction from the cloth. Kyren absolutely hammered

:43:04. > :43:24.that into the right-hander back pocket. This is a tough pot. That

:43:25. > :43:27.has over cups. -- over cut. This is pottable but Stuart has two players

:43:28. > :43:38.lights where a few with right-hand side. Played it very well. Yes, we

:43:39. > :43:43.actually saw the point move there. All of a sudden it starts to bend.

:43:44. > :43:51.Controlled it nicely. Would love to play the kiss of the cushion, the

:43:52. > :43:55.right-hand red. Get position on the other two reds. He can't believe

:43:56. > :44:00.that kids. I'm surprised he didn't play the Czech side kiss there for

:44:01. > :44:10.that whatever happens he's going to kiss one of them if he doesn't get

:44:11. > :44:26.the outside one. Stuart absolutely distraught there.

:44:27. > :44:36.That was a poor shot. He's been very fortunate. Leaving this on for Kyren

:44:37. > :44:42.Wilson. This is quite a big swerve as well. It's possible but he could

:44:43. > :44:45.just as easily missed the red. Trying to see if this cloth takes

:44:46. > :44:52.the swerve, seems to take it quite easily. You know yourself, on the

:44:53. > :44:58.superfine class, it sometimes takes an age for the cue ball to turn but

:44:59. > :45:01.this might be the fact that it's running a little slow, the fact that

:45:02. > :45:29.it's maybe a little damp. This is a really huge frame for

:45:30. > :45:32.Stuart Bingham. He'll be disappointed going into the

:45:33. > :45:37.mid-session interval no matter what happens. He'll certainly feel a lot

:45:38. > :45:39.better if he can go into that interval 3-1 down instead of 4-0

:45:40. > :45:56.down. This red is cuttable. No idea what's

:45:57. > :46:00.happening to the cue ball. Looking to get the one to the extreme left

:46:01. > :46:04.hand side of the pack. Can he cut that as well? Trying to get through

:46:05. > :46:19.to it. That looked a bit dangerous. He was

:46:20. > :47:00.pushing the boat out there. That wasn't shot you would like to

:47:01. > :47:04.play. Trying to stun round the back of the black. Just Nice to get

:47:05. > :47:09.nicely on a red to get some confidence. His highest break is

:47:10. > :47:14.only 28 in the first three frames. Would just like to get something

:47:15. > :47:25.happening. He is straight on this red, it's no good. There is a slight

:47:26. > :47:39.angle, the black is only available to one corner at the moment.

:47:40. > :47:45.That's another thing, when you know the table is playing well, sometimes

:47:46. > :47:53.you overhit, trying to get the right angle. Yes, Stuart is doing his best

:47:54. > :47:58.to readjust here. Really struggling to control the cue ball. The one

:47:59. > :48:03.thing that we do know, Willie, is that Kyren can afford to keep giving

:48:04. > :48:11.him chances because sooner or later, Stuart Bingham will click. His

:48:12. > :48:19.positional play will come back, but not with shots like that. He will be

:48:20. > :48:26.absolutely disgusted with himself. With that shot. He be furious. -- he

:48:27. > :48:30.will be furious. Yes, the cue ball should have been at least a foot

:48:31. > :48:35.further to the left than that. Once again, I hate to keep going over it,

:48:36. > :48:42.when a table is playing a little bit damp, so hard to get the cue ball

:48:43. > :48:45.moving. That would have come a lot wider on the old class, as it was.

:48:46. > :49:18.Well done, good recovery. Pink clearly available but he needs

:49:19. > :49:20.to get nicely on the next red. I don't know if the pink is going to

:49:21. > :49:34.be tied up. Adam Humphries gives it a little

:49:35. > :49:38.glance, the pink spot is obviously covered, goes to the brown spot, the

:49:39. > :49:43.highest spot available. You can see a change in Stuart Bingham's body

:49:44. > :49:50.language now. I think usually had enough with the way things have gone

:49:51. > :49:56.so far. He's not in an ideal position. Just sense that he's

:49:57. > :50:04.really had enough and the fires are burning knife. -- burning now.

:50:05. > :50:09.There's a feeling of aggression with Stuart Bingham. Which is necessary

:50:10. > :50:17.at the moment to make something happen. That was a very good pot.

:50:18. > :50:22.Again, not an ideal position. But all of a sudden he is looking better

:50:23. > :50:26.all the table. I mean he would love the pink on the spot but it's

:50:27. > :50:29.probably not the right way to play at this time because it's easier to

:50:30. > :50:35.play the yellow and with the choice of two reds. If he doesn't play the

:50:36. > :50:39.pink perfectly, the pink will cover a red. Interesting to see what he

:50:40. > :50:51.plays, I think the yellow is the best choice.

:50:52. > :51:01.Not stopped him at all, that's a good shot.

:51:02. > :51:08.Two more shots to play at our aggressive because he needs to get

:51:09. > :51:16.rid of the red that's nearest the pocket. That's why he's playing this

:51:17. > :51:26.one now as opposed to the other one. Once again, look at where the cue

:51:27. > :51:35.ball is. Nowhere. Needs to be six or seven inches harder than that. He's

:51:36. > :51:40.not got the power right now to get behind the back of the block colours

:51:41. > :52:21.just matter the way the table is playing -- the baulk colours.

:52:22. > :52:32.To power needed again, has two screw this round two to get to the top

:52:33. > :52:34.side of the blue. -- cue power. Just wiped his feet, this time he is top

:52:35. > :53:13.side of the blue. He's bemused, isn't he? Poor

:53:14. > :53:30.positional shot. That's what happens under pressure.

:53:31. > :53:40.Just went to the well one too many times. 34 point lead is not enough

:53:41. > :54:11.where the balls are. It was missable because he had to

:54:12. > :54:21.play it with pace, especially with the cloth playing a bit slower.

:54:22. > :54:34.Fortunate to not leave Stuart something easier than this.

:54:35. > :54:43.Decision time for Stuart Bingham, does he try to protect his lead? Or

:54:44. > :54:51.does he push the boat out with an attacking shot? It's the former.

:54:52. > :55:06.Trying to keep the pressure on. Well, he's left a long red here to

:55:07. > :55:12.the left-hand black pocket and it's just the sort of shot that Kyren

:55:13. > :55:24.Wilson likes to take on. It's fraught with danger, obviously and

:55:25. > :55:31.he needs to get this. He was a long way away from that. Yes, it was one

:55:32. > :55:35.of those, 34 points in front, there's no way he would play it like

:55:36. > :55:41.that. He's 34 points behind Eddie thought it was a chance to pinch the

:55:42. > :55:42.frame. Don't blame him for having a go at that but missing it so far

:55:43. > :56:01.should cost him this frame. I've never seen anything like this.

:56:02. > :56:06.Both players overhitting and underhitting shots.

:56:07. > :56:12.If you play this delicately on the dipping into the middle because the

:56:13. > :56:18.pink will go back onto its own spot, I reckon you can play a slow stunt

:56:19. > :56:23.into the middle and still be on the red to the opposite corner. -- the

:56:24. > :56:26.slow stunt. It wouldn't be surprised if he decided to play snooker behind

:56:27. > :56:45.the brown of the cushion. REFEREE: Foul and a miss, threeball.

:56:46. > :57:00.Kyren Wilson four. You've got to remember to reach the brown.

:57:01. > :57:09.Relying on good fortune. Has he got any? Not too bad. Interesting to see

:57:10. > :57:21.if the rest percentage stays the same. Five out of five at the

:57:22. > :57:23.moment. Will it be six out of six or can he reach it with the extension

:57:24. > :58:02.on his cue? Just wonder whether he'll play to

:58:03. > :58:11.kiss the red that's next the cushion. Off one cushion, click the

:58:12. > :58:12.blue. Will the red still pot in the middle? It's perfect angle to play

:58:13. > :59:00.that cannon. Just bringing them red three inches

:59:01. > :59:06.of the commission has given Kyren an excellent chance to clear. With the

:59:07. > :59:12.right word was, he was definitely second favourite. -- with the red

:59:13. > :59:40.where it was, he was definitely second favourite.

:59:41. > :59:47.Not just about getting onto the next colour, it's about getting onto the

:59:48. > :59:54.next colour and dropping onto the final red. There is another example

:59:55. > :59:58.of how this table's playing. That cue ball would have expected to be

:59:59. > :00:14.two feet further in the middle of the table than that.

:00:15. > :00:22.This table is playing very slow. Because the previous stun shot,

:00:23. > :00:30.Kyren played a hard stun shot and the cue ball just went nowhere.

:00:31. > :00:35.That black was really missible. It was a very good pot under the

:00:36. > :00:44.circumstances. Example of how good Kyren Wilson wis

:00:45. > :01:05.the rest. -- is with the rest. This was the red that Peter was

:01:06. > :01:08.talking about. Look how hard he played that and the white just

:01:09. > :01:16.seemed to sink into that top cushion. But he has re-- retrieved

:01:17. > :01:21.the situation. This will really hurt Stuart Bingham. He could have won

:01:22. > :01:26.the previous frame. He was strong favourite to win this frame. And

:01:27. > :01:46.barring accidents he will be 4-0. The match has come to the interval

:01:47. > :01:55.on the other table, so there is a bit of movement, which doesn't help

:01:56. > :02:16.the players. Is he as good with the long rest, Peter?

:02:17. > :02:24.Again he seemed to get into the cue ball OK, but he didn't get the

:02:25. > :02:34.reaction or spin that he was looking for.

:02:35. > :02:46.He is going to have the play this quite firm to miss the in-off.

:02:47. > :02:56.He needs the pink. Well I'm afraid that top cushion just looks like a

:02:57. > :03:04.sponge at the moment. Hardly any reaction off that top cushion.

:03:05. > :03:16.You have to take these on, don't you? You can't play safe. Game ball.

:03:17. > :03:25.He will be taking this into the green pocket. And has the

:03:26. > :03:33.possibility of screwing this in with left-hand side off three cushions.

:03:34. > :03:42.Very thin. An excellent shot. Well played. He has dominated this first

:03:43. > :03:47.session. Stuart Bingham will be horrified, in fact he is just

:03:48. > :03:53.sitting there at the moment. He is going to play the black, but the

:03:54. > :03:58.frame is over. He could have been 2-2, but Kyren Wilson has won the

:03:59. > :04:03.opening four frames and he is in a strong position.

:04:04. > :04:08.STUDIO: Plenty of thinking to do for Stuart. He will be kicking himself.

:04:09. > :04:13.He hasn't played in that instance in the last frame to not get up behind

:04:14. > :04:17.the brown when he is behinds it. Everything's going wrong for him and

:04:18. > :04:20.when you do as much wrong as he has done, there is a feeling your

:04:21. > :04:27.opponents is going to win frames like that. Kyren is purring as he

:04:28. > :04:32.walks into the dressing room. Yes he knows he is going to be at least

:04:33. > :04:40.level and at 4-0, you win a couple and you have a 6-2 lead. Stuart has

:04:41. > :04:45.put in a lot of abject performances this season and already four down.

:04:46. > :04:50.He needs to win the next session. He doesn't look loose. Usually he is a

:04:51. > :04:57.heavy scorer and he is bouncing around the table. If you have that

:04:58. > :05:01.record against somebody, maybe you're not comfortable playing

:05:02. > :05:04.certain players. You have played someone four times and lost four

:05:05. > :05:09.times, you won't be completely happy. And a lot of people are

:05:10. > :05:16.talking of Kyren Wilson as a future champion. Do the players read

:05:17. > :05:22.newspapers and listen to TV? You should use that for motivation, if

:05:23. > :05:30.people are talking about their opponents, you say, I'm a world

:05:31. > :05:34.champion. Anthony Magill was 4-0 up. You can give yourself a team talk

:05:35. > :05:41.and think, you're not going to win today. Thank you for the moment.

:05:42. > :05:49.Plenty to keep you entertained during the interval. Today is World

:05:50. > :05:55.Snooker's disability day. The day when the sport welcomes disabled

:05:56. > :06:02.people from across the counts richlt snooker was -- across the country.

:06:03. > :06:09.Snooker was part of the original games. And they have opened their

:06:10. > :06:14.doors to give players some coaching and we have been to see what the

:06:15. > :06:28.sport has planned for helping disabled people get involved with

:06:29. > :06:33.snooker. Billiards and snooker got together with Mencap to help

:06:34. > :06:38.disabled players. I dropped in on one of their weekly session. This is

:06:39. > :06:43.a brilliant initiative. Yes we are trying to reach out into the

:06:44. > :06:46.community. This project is engagement with Mencap here in

:06:47. > :06:51.Sheffield and it is partly funded by Sport England. This is a pilot

:06:52. > :06:54.project to try and see how far we can push the sport into communities.

:06:55. > :07:00.As you can see, it is starting to work. Aaron, you are the star of the

:07:01. > :07:06.show, without your coaching, this wouldn't be happening. How did you

:07:07. > :07:14.get involved? Thank you what it started was we got fund and went

:07:15. > :07:21.down to the Crucible and they said would we be interested in doing a

:07:22. > :07:25.joint protect -- project and of course the answer was yes. There was

:07:26. > :07:30.even a chance for me to sharpen my skills. These guys are good, but I'm

:07:31. > :07:43.going go for it. Stop. How many did you get? Let's

:07:44. > :07:50.see. A big crowned of applause. Thank you. Christopher, you look

:07:51. > :07:56.like a pro already. How long have you been playing. This is the eighth

:07:57. > :08:02.session. This is Christopher's eight session and you have the shot of the

:08:03. > :08:07.relay? Yes. I take my shot and I go at it nice and carefully and not so

:08:08. > :08:15.fast. And the guys are really aware of it and they're great. Snooker's

:08:16. > :08:22.an inclusive sport, everything can have a chance and he has put smiles

:08:23. > :08:25.on people's faces and got them in a place where they might never have

:08:26. > :08:29.been until they found snooker. Well, I have had the best time and this

:08:30. > :08:37.initiative has been great and I got my own medal! It has been brilliant.

:08:38. > :08:43.Snooker! I was pleased with myself for that. We had a great day with

:08:44. > :08:50.Sheffield Mencap and now I'm joined by two people who you saw in the

:08:51. > :08:54.film, the chairman of the WDPS. We are trying to get people with

:08:55. > :09:00.disabilities out to play snooker and it is such an accessible sport and

:09:01. > :09:06.running tournaments in the UK and we are talking to Denmark and Belgium

:09:07. > :09:10.and China about running broader events. We have people who travel

:09:11. > :09:16.long distances to play tournament. It is for people with any ability

:09:17. > :09:22.and we want people to get involved. It is a brilliant initiative and we

:09:23. > :09:25.saw from being at Sheffield Mencap how involved everyone was and how

:09:26. > :09:32.much they got out of it. What is the future? The future is that snooker

:09:33. > :09:38.was in the Paralympics until 1988 and it dropped out. Our ambition is

:09:39. > :09:42.to get it back and we want to work to get snooker back in the

:09:43. > :09:46.Paralympics, where it belongs. Chris, he is responsible for the

:09:47. > :09:52.coaches, because these sessions can't happen without coaches. We

:09:53. > :09:56.have a structured programme and have a specialist disability coach and we

:09:57. > :10:01.have a lot of things happening. It is not often in sport that snooker

:10:02. > :10:05.fans, people with disability, anybody can come to the biggest vent

:10:06. > :10:12.and get involved. That is what this day has been about. Being a coach is

:10:13. > :10:18.rewarding as well? We saw Aaron last October and he has developed into

:10:19. > :10:23.running his own sessions and changed those people's lives from a snooker

:10:24. > :10:30.point of view. We have five events in our calendar year and day one of

:10:31. > :10:33.each is free for taking part and you may never have picked up a snooker

:10:34. > :10:37.cue in your life. Come and get involved. We have experts on hand

:10:38. > :10:44.and we will the door to something you may be happy competing in. Even

:10:45. > :10:50.can get involved. Just from that session alone, I myself got to see

:10:51. > :10:54.how much you can learn from playing? You got involved and picked up a cue

:10:55. > :11:00.and potted some balls. Thane Veitation is open to everybody. The

:11:01. > :11:06.vision is -- that invitation is open to everyone and we want people to

:11:07. > :11:10.gets involved and get inspired. Well done on all the hard work and enjoy

:11:11. > :11:19.the 40-year celebrations. Back to you. Well done with that medal.

:11:20. > :11:28.You're not wearing it though? I will wear it tomorrow. Now time for

:11:29. > :11:33.another snooker player coming in to answer general knowledge questions

:11:34. > :11:45.and questions about themselves. We are here for another edition of Pot

:11:46. > :11:51.Quiz and our guest is Marco Fu. You didn't have a go at this last year.

:11:52. > :11:57.The best time so far to beat is one minute 35 pi by the defending

:11:58. > :12:01.champion. The rules are five questions, for every question you

:12:02. > :12:05.get right, you take a ball off the table and you put the cue ball on

:12:06. > :12:10.the table, pot all the reds and finish off potting the black. First

:12:11. > :12:18.question, which player have you played most times at the Crucible?

:12:19. > :12:23.Martin Gould. Correct. I thought that was worth a round of applause,

:12:24. > :12:38.but don't worry. What is your highest ever Crucible break? Ooh.

:12:39. > :12:47.136? No. 138 in 2016. You made your Crucible debut in 1999, who

:12:48. > :12:57.contested the final that year? Hendry and Mark Williams. Correct.

:12:58. > :13:02.APPLAUSE. You reached the semi-final here in 2006, losing to Peter Ebdon,

:13:03. > :13:14.name two of the men you beat here that year. Stephen Maguire. Is one.

:13:15. > :13:22.Ken. And Ken Docherty. For a bonus, can you name the other one? Sorry?

:13:23. > :13:26.There is no bonus points. Yourer your last question, in what year did

:13:27. > :13:32.sovereignty of Hong Kong pass from the UK to China and we will give you

:13:33. > :13:41.one year either way. 1997. Correct. Nailed on there. So you got four

:13:42. > :13:57.correct. So take any four reds off the table. OK. That one. So far he

:13:58. > :14:01.has gone down the middle. Hmm. ??TAKE? this long on the shot.

:14:02. > :14:07.Another one. I don't know. You don't know. I'm not sure. That one. You

:14:08. > :14:10.put the cue ball anywhere on the table and your time starts when you

:14:11. > :14:24.hit the cue ball. Doing a bit of mileage early on,

:14:25. > :14:29.wearing those new shoes in. Oh, he won't be happy with that. Careless!

:14:30. > :14:37.That is a nice strike. That is somebody in form. You can tell. That

:14:38. > :14:41.is something who has had the weightlifted off their shoulders by

:14:42. > :14:46.getting through the first round. So far this is perfect. It looks like

:14:47. > :14:56.the Hong Kong Fu we know. 30 second we are up to. Plenty of time. 1. 35

:14:57. > :15:04.to beat. That watch keeping that bridge hand so still! Four reds

:15:05. > :15:12.left. Plenty of time. 50 seconds. More or less half way. He is

:15:13. > :15:20.studying the table, I love it. He is a bit wrong-sided on this red. Oh!

:15:21. > :15:31.He has missed it! Time now is important. Minute and 10 seconds.

:15:32. > :15:38.Still not rushing. He is not happy with that one. That was tension. He

:15:39. > :15:52.has 15 seconds left. This has got to go in. It's in! APPLAUSE. Thank you.

:15:53. > :16:02.It was tight. But at the end, it was one minute... 27 seconds.

:16:03. > :16:10.Marco top of the leaderboard and he is back in the second round on

:16:11. > :16:13.Sunday. Not long after that, was recorded Steve went for a drive with

:16:14. > :16:49.Stuart Bingham. Quickly. Stuart, the meter's

:16:50. > :16:55.running. He is paying for this taxi. I'm doing petrol in here. I have

:16:56. > :17:03.other fares to pick up today. Smile. Remember that. A bit too tight to go

:17:04. > :17:16.backwards. I didn't know reversing was in the contract. Is this going

:17:17. > :17:20.to be like Driving miss Dazy? Hill. Wait a minute. Handbrake start. It

:17:21. > :17:28.is like going back to your days of... Did you pass your test first

:17:29. > :17:32.time? Yes. Did you? I did. I had immense pressure on my brother,

:17:33. > :17:38.because everyone in my family passed go. He said, don't let the family

:17:39. > :17:42.down. Did you... That is all right. I did that when I passed the test.

:17:43. > :17:50.My emergency stop was like just spot on. I nailed it. Just failed hitting

:17:51. > :17:56.the pedestrian by... It wasn't the emergency stop we thought it was

:17:57. > :18:01.going to be. It was another one. I hesitate to say the words, because

:18:02. > :18:09.there is people at home sitting watching BBC and there is a drinking

:18:10. > :18:18.game where a presenter says certain words they have a drink. One is...

:18:19. > :18:24.Crucible curse. Bosch! Something has nailed a whisky on this. If you say

:18:25. > :18:31.Crucible curse that is another one down the hatch. How did that feel.

:18:32. > :18:39.Did it build up? Yeah. It was an honour to have that curse. For

:18:40. > :18:43.drink? Yes. But just... It was a big pressure. I had one of toughest

:18:44. > :19:03.draws against Alex. Handbrake on. Traffic's is terrible. This is the

:19:04. > :19:17.posh end of town. Nigel bond lives here. Are you a techno phobe. I got

:19:18. > :19:21.the wife a fit bit watch. She hasn't got a clue how to use it. You

:19:22. > :19:33.encourage her to do a bit of walking around zm? Have you the Wii around

:19:34. > :19:41.and hoover. They're good. Are they? So I have heard. What about around

:19:42. > :19:49.the house. I do my own ironing, my mum at 16, said do your ironing. I'm

:19:50. > :19:53.one of few on tour. Have you tried ironing without a... I'm in the

:19:54. > :20:02.wrong lane. I have to cut this bus up. You should have indicated. I

:20:03. > :20:08.have done the windscreen wiper. I will wait until somebody lets me in.

:20:09. > :20:14.I have a steam generated iron. Is that your own one. Do you let your

:20:15. > :20:19.wife near that? Yes, she does her ironing. I do mine. Does she put

:20:20. > :20:24.kreezs in her sleeve -- creases in her sleeves. It is an honour to be

:20:25. > :20:30.in the same car as you. The last time you done this, you dropped me

:20:31. > :20:38.back at the airport. That is your house. Nearly ran over Medal Man.

:20:39. > :20:42.Thank you. Sorry we have missed the start of your match. But yeah. Good

:20:43. > :20:49.luck. You have been docked three points.

:20:50. > :21:04.Can you imagine being an a night out in Sheffield and Steve Davies pops

:21:05. > :21:09.up. No wonder Stuart is 4-0 down. The quote was where I say it was an

:21:10. > :21:15.honour to have the curse. I think we know what he meant. He means it

:21:16. > :21:21.means you have come here with a chance. If people want help with

:21:22. > :21:25.their game. Anything to do with it. If you have a cue action problem.

:21:26. > :21:33.Film it side on and let's have a look at it and we can help you with

:21:34. > :21:40.your game. Get involved via social media and if you want questions

:21:41. > :21:45.answered, use social media. Massive game coming up tonight here at the

:21:46. > :21:57.Crucible. We can't wait for this one. Blink and you will miss him,

:21:58. > :22:00.Ronny o' Sol van. Happy to be in the tournament and every player loves

:22:01. > :22:06.playing at the Crucible. You have to embrace it all. I came here in a

:22:07. > :22:13.good form a few years ago and he swept me to one side. You're not

:22:14. > :22:18.just playing Ronnie, but his entourage and most of the crowd.

:22:19. > :22:24.Last time I got too involved with the other stuff and forgot to pray.

:22:25. > :22:31.-- play. We don't need to build this up any more. Last 16, Shaun Murphy,

:22:32. > :22:38.Ronnie O'Sullivan, live on the red button. Genuinely, John, and Steven,

:22:39. > :22:43.can't way for this one. It should be a fantastic match. Whether it will

:22:44. > :22:47.be, I don't know. I think Shaun has the game to beat Ronnie. I don't

:22:48. > :22:56.know whether he is mentally strong enough. Do we this there is extra

:22:57. > :23:01.spice given that Shaun Murphy piled into the row over so Sullivan not

:23:02. > :23:07.talking to the press. Maybe. Shaun will have to concentrate like... You

:23:08. > :23:12.know he has got to be at his best and his safety must be good. You

:23:13. > :23:18.have to make sure he doesn't git chances. Is he capable of beating

:23:19. > :23:23.him. He has to maintain his concentration. Ronnie looked good

:23:24. > :23:29.the other day. So stop whatever you're doing tonight and switch on

:23:30. > :23:34.that red button and the BBC Sport app. It could be a cracking first

:23:35. > :23:42.session. Murphy and O'Sullivan tonight. Now back to or live match

:23:43. > :23:47.and Kyren Wilson 4-0 up on Stuart Bingham.

:23:48. > :24:01.The way the table's been playing he will have to hit this very hard.

:24:02. > :24:16.He has not got away with it this time.

:24:17. > :24:54.That is a nice opening red from Stuart Bingham.

:24:55. > :25:01.That is a decent pot, the first red into the middle. Cut the red into

:25:02. > :25:08.the middle again now. He needs to make a sizeable break to calm

:25:09. > :25:12.himself down. 33 is still his highest break. Stuart is just

:25:13. > :25:49.missing. I will give him the benefit of the

:25:50. > :25:51.doubt, he actually got a kick there. The white did bounce when it hit the

:25:52. > :26:12.cue ball. That was an horrendous kick. When

:26:13. > :26:18.you're 4-0 behind, that is what you don't want. That was by no fault of

:26:19. > :26:20.his own and still the reds are available and I think the black

:26:21. > :26:37.maybe as well. Yes he feels it is, so it must be.

:26:38. > :26:44.He can then bring both reds away from the black spot.

:26:45. > :27:49.Maybe screw back and nudge the right-hand of the reds away.

:27:50. > :27:56.The pink has gone on to the black spot, that means he doesn't have go

:27:57. > :28:06.for the blue and bring the reds into play.

:28:07. > :28:24.REFEREE: Somebody's ear piece is a bit loud, can you turn it down?

:28:25. > :28:32.Deep screw shot there with lots of right-hand side.

:28:33. > :28:47.You see the side taking effect off the cushion.

:28:48. > :29:00.He has a red into the centre after this pink.

:29:01. > :29:29.He is going for the blue after the red in the centre. Slightly underhit

:29:30. > :29:31.that. He has finished straighter on this red than he would have liked

:29:32. > :30:08.to. This was the red that was stopping

:30:09. > :30:18.the pink going on its own spots, I think.

:30:19. > :30:27.We talk about the tables tshs cloth being quick. We have known it is not

:30:28. > :30:29.so quick today. But the talk about sometimes the greens at Augusta

:30:30. > :30:39.being very fast and quick. We will show you a gentleman in a

:30:40. > :30:50.minute who has just come back from Augusta. There is Andy O'Sullivan.

:30:51. > :30:54.He lives in Nuneaton now. That is his son. He's great player and come

:30:55. > :31:13.to watch the snooker live here. Whyatt with Colin Wilson 40 points

:31:14. > :31:23.in front. He will take the brown. Could even play the yellow. That is

:31:24. > :31:30.not a bad choice. Yes, and as ever, it will be a question of how the

:31:31. > :31:47.cannon turns out. And that will do very nicely. Red into the left

:31:48. > :32:03.corner, or the left-centre. He will be going up it into the blue here.

:32:04. > :32:06.This is what will hurt more than anything, he knows that these could

:32:07. > :32:45.and maybe should have been all his. That was another huge kick which has

:32:46. > :33:15.taken all the base out of the cue ball. You see the cue ball jump.

:33:16. > :33:48.Another example of how slow the table is again. Just the red needed.

:33:49. > :33:56.Stuart was very unlucky to have had that kick and left Kyren this chance

:33:57. > :34:00.was that he has had to sit and suffer and he knows that he will

:34:01. > :34:01.have to somehow win two of the remaining three frames, if not all

:34:02. > :34:44.three. He could bring these two reds into

:34:45. > :34:53.play. No century but Kyren Wilson will be absolutely delighted. He now

:34:54. > :35:00.leads by five frames to nil. And, Peter, you have to feel sorry for

:35:01. > :35:04.Stuart. The first four frames, could easily have been 2-2. But when you

:35:05. > :35:09.get such a horrible cake, it's just not fair sometimes. Yes, Stuart

:35:10. > :35:15.certainly had chances this morning. You can see from this terrible

:35:16. > :35:21.contact, the red jump, the cue ball jumped the red was thrown offline --

:35:22. > :35:24.terrible kick. He looks a lot better in himself that he did in the early

:35:25. > :35:29.part of the match because he really was all at sea. He has managed to

:35:30. > :35:35.gather his thoughts and he is looking a lot more positive, a lot

:35:36. > :35:38.more reflective. He will be very disappointed with the way things

:35:39. > :35:42.have gone this morning. His positional play especially. I

:35:43. > :35:49.totally agree, what is your view on why we are getting these kicks? It

:35:50. > :35:53.is a never ending saga, so much more today. I don't we have seen as many

:35:54. > :35:57.kicks in the first four days as we have seen on this one table.

:35:58. > :36:00.Certainly there has been a lot more kicks this morning. It can be

:36:01. > :36:12.atmospheric. You know, we really know. The balls play so differently,

:36:13. > :36:15.and so more reactive and off more that a lot of players don't like it

:36:16. > :36:21.when the polish is applied to the balls. Reflecting on what is going

:36:22. > :36:51.to happen are not what has happened. The match has come to an early end

:36:52. > :36:57.on the other table. They have this wonderful arena to themselves now.

:36:58. > :37:38.Stuart has been left a shot to nothing.

:37:39. > :37:45.Under normal circumstances, it would have been very difficult to hold for

:37:46. > :37:50.the blue, from a cut like that. Because this cloth is obviously

:37:51. > :37:54.playing considerably slower than the previous cloth, he was able to hold

:37:55. > :37:59.for the blue there, and played it very well. What you tend to find is

:38:00. > :38:04.that when the cloth is playing slow like this, just to move the cue ball

:38:05. > :38:09.around the table, the players are not having to play a series of

:38:10. > :38:18.either stolen or very hard stunt shots, when normally they would

:38:19. > :38:21.prefer -- either stun or very hard stun shots, when normally they would

:38:22. > :38:26.prefer to stroke them as smoothly as they could. The reason is that these

:38:27. > :38:29.clots throw off an awful lot with side. When you are using power and

:38:30. > :38:34.side you through the cue ball offline and you can miss anything.

:38:35. > :38:41.So it is challenging for both players when the table is playing

:38:42. > :38:45.slower. And the other important aspect with regard to that is the

:38:46. > :38:47.fact that when you hit the ball is harder, obviously the object balls

:38:48. > :39:00.are reaching the pockets with more pace and that makes the pockets play

:39:01. > :39:27.smaller. Slightly out of position. But played that well.

:39:28. > :39:35.Very shortly, Kyren Wilson will be looking to leave himself an angle on

:39:36. > :40:06.a colour, to open up the pack of reds.

:40:07. > :40:10.When the pink is just that inch of the pack like it is now, would you

:40:11. > :40:14.rather go into it from the green or yellow than the blue, Peter?

:40:15. > :40:17.Definitely, because they're all sorts of things that could happen.

:40:18. > :40:21.You could be really unlikely, it's the pink and nothing could slide off

:40:22. > :40:27.the pack if you don't get full contact on. So even though the green

:40:28. > :40:38.here is a little bit thinner than he would have liked, he has taken the

:40:39. > :40:48.brown, he will have to hit is very hard, with lots of right-hand side.

:40:49. > :40:51.He would have preferred to have been on a nice angle on the green because

:40:52. > :40:56.the angle he left himself on the brown, he had to hit that really

:40:57. > :40:59.hard. Lots of right-hand side, probably got too much side. He will

:41:00. > :41:38.be disappointed with that. How on earth is the gap between the

:41:39. > :41:41.pack of reds and the thing? When things are going bad, you can only

:41:42. > :41:49.smile. Everything going wrong at the moment. Played the safety shot, red

:41:50. > :41:52.into the pack, and look at the red. Straight through the gap and over

:41:53. > :42:23.the corner pocket. It is not fair sometimes.

:42:24. > :42:38.No real advantage. He may try to sneak him behind the green.

:42:39. > :42:46.He will be playing an aggressive safety here, trying to bring the

:42:47. > :42:49.black interplay. He wants to make sure a red doesn't go over the

:42:50. > :42:50.left-hand corner at the same time, the way things are going at the

:42:51. > :42:59.minute. Just not happening, just not

:43:00. > :43:37.happening. Can't hit a shot like. Another excellent pot. When you keep

:43:38. > :43:43.saying when things are going right, the way he is looking to play. In

:43:44. > :43:47.fairness, if you can cut the black in with Czech side and come down the

:43:48. > :43:52.side, he would be on all three reds. He could do the same of the pink.

:43:53. > :44:05.The same pocket as he is playing the pink now. He has found one in the

:44:06. > :44:27.opposite corner, has he? Must be on. That's the one.

:44:28. > :44:36.Just shows when you misjudge a shot, what can happen. He thought the red

:44:37. > :44:49.was clearly available, but obviously not quite. Now then, Stuart, you are

:44:50. > :46:23.39 points behind. You have got to make a frame-winning break.

:46:24. > :46:35.Got to make sure he gets past the pink spot area.

:46:36. > :46:40.Maybe he is planning to leave the cue ball somewhere near the pink

:46:41. > :46:52.spot now so he has the reds in the middle. This is where he passes the

:46:53. > :47:03.pink, the bottom red of the three. You can see it clearly does. That

:47:04. > :47:08.shot has opened up the two reds to the opposite corner. All he has to

:47:09. > :47:10.do now is be careful, don't do anything silly, because this frame

:47:11. > :47:37.is there for the taking. Just lost the cue ball a touch

:47:38. > :47:40.there. A bit thinner than he would have liked. Should be OK, still.

:47:41. > :48:23.Played it well. He has got to go round the back of

:48:24. > :48:38.the black, I think, and the way things are going he doesn't want to

:48:39. > :48:49.go round the back. Maybe the only red he can get on is the one he is

:48:50. > :49:01.nearest to now. Just about got there. Three or four inches of pace.

:49:02. > :49:13.All of a sudden, from being in prime position. That is a good shot.

:49:14. > :50:01.Choice of three colours, yellow, blue or brown.

:50:02. > :50:17.This is the tee shot, needs to go round the back of the black. Never

:50:18. > :50:43.at any point in that break at the cue ball under control.

:50:44. > :50:49.I know the balls were there for the taking, but considering the way

:50:50. > :51:03.things have gone. That thing, he did well to make 52 there. Not a good

:51:04. > :51:10.shot at all. Perhaps fortunate that the red did not end up in a possible

:51:11. > :51:12.position for Kyren in the centre. Didn't get a very good cue ball

:51:13. > :51:36.there. There may be some value in taking on

:51:37. > :51:37.the cue ball crossed table. The cue ball would be coming down towards

:51:38. > :51:58.the black. That's what he's played. Yes, great effort from this time it

:51:59. > :52:07.has worked in Stuart Bingham's favour. You can see this red. You

:52:08. > :52:10.don't blame Kyren at all for playing the shop the way he did. It was

:52:11. > :52:15.about the only way it could have jawed Peter and left a pot on, the

:52:16. > :52:26.way it finished. Yes, there was and I suggested that shot is it is was

:52:27. > :52:32.like a shot to nothing. It is very rare that you get a better one. That

:52:33. > :52:54.is what happened. Stuart Binny will be mightily relieved.

:52:55. > :52:58.He needed to win this frame and luckily for him he got the second

:52:59. > :53:23.chance. APPLAUSE Stuart Bingham made the highest

:53:24. > :53:34.break of the match so far, 52, and he will be very relieved to get a

:53:35. > :53:37.frame on the board. STUDIO: Just something about Stuart Bingham

:53:38. > :53:40.before he walked out today, usually you see him backstage and he looks

:53:41. > :53:44.really relaxed and happy to chat but today there was something different

:53:45. > :53:47.about him backstage. It is a big match and we have mentioned it a

:53:48. > :53:52.couple of times, he doesn't have a great record against him so maybe a

:53:53. > :53:55.bit of trepidation. But not the same dance about. It would be happy to

:53:56. > :53:59.get the first frame and abroad. If he could win at least one of the

:54:00. > :54:02.next two, because it is a longer match, the first to 13, it is not

:54:03. > :54:06.totally desperate. Who would love to win the last two. Threw in these

:54:07. > :54:12.long matches sometimes you will have a bad session. That is about damage

:54:13. > :54:16.limitation. Sometimes the difference between 7-1, and 6-2, or 5-3 when it

:54:17. > :54:23.comes to the final session can be huge. What would be the ideal

:54:24. > :54:27.scenario? In the last two frames, simple as that. If he can get out of

:54:28. > :54:32.this session 5-3 he will think he has won the pools. He has included.

:54:33. > :54:35.Kyren has been by far the better player. You can't win the World

:54:36. > :54:40.Championship having a perfect session every single time, not

:54:41. > :54:44.likely to happen. When you're playing someone like Kyren Wilson as

:54:45. > :54:48.well, there's the fact you are the former Crucible champion play on the

:54:49. > :54:51.mind and they heavily on the shoulders? It shouldn't do. Stuart

:54:52. > :54:57.is experienced enough to know that is in the past. This is a new match.

:54:58. > :55:05.Kyren hasn't exactly blown him off the table. He is getting chances all

:55:06. > :55:10.the time, Stuart Bingham. Kyren Wilson was in the balls, and made a

:55:11. > :55:14.poor error, a poor misjudgement, it could have been 6-0. He has been

:55:15. > :55:20.given a lifeline. Can he take advantage? Hopefully take the last

:55:21. > :55:27.two frames. Let's find out. Back to Willey and Peter. COMMENTATOR: He

:55:28. > :55:32.needs to break off better than that, cannons into the blue. Luckily for

:55:33. > :56:11.him he has not left and easy opening red. Schoolboy error, this.

:56:12. > :56:27.APPLAUSE Nice opening pot. Stuart Bingham.

:56:28. > :56:41.Played the cannon well. He may elect to leave himself and angle on the

:56:42. > :56:45.black to go into the reds. Get himself high, possibly. He has left

:56:46. > :57:19.himself quite straight. And all of a sudden, having got his

:57:20. > :57:23.first frame on the board, Stuart is beginning to move around the table

:57:24. > :57:27.with his usual fluency. He played that really well. That was an

:57:28. > :57:46.excellent shot. Three reds, three blacks. He can

:57:47. > :57:50.certainly play this red to get onto the black here with the pink being

:57:51. > :57:55.out of commission commune of a now. Whether he is playing well enough at

:57:56. > :58:23.this moment in time to put in the magic number remains to be seen.

:58:24. > :58:34.It's great when you're in this position you can play the choices,

:58:35. > :58:37.three reds off one shot. Would you leave yourself a choice of shots?

:58:38. > :58:42.One in the middle, one in the corner? Playing this red, it opens

:58:43. > :59:13.up the other two reds. The thinking about the maximum,

:59:14. > :59:17.finish low on the next black monthly in the cluster of five, knowing that

:59:18. > :59:28.you will still be on the red in the bottom of the pack. He played the

:59:29. > :59:33.screw into the pack again. No need to, of course. He will have to go

:59:34. > :59:39.into them at some stage. Not this time. I'm sure now he will be

:59:40. > :00:00.thinking of 147. The problem, should he decide to go

:00:01. > :00:05.into the cluster now of five, he hasn't got a red that could come to

:00:06. > :00:21.his rescue. He is going to play for the loose one.

:00:22. > :00:33.Using that one to travel. Nowhere near where he played. Two feet short

:00:34. > :00:49.of where he meant to be. And a maximum now. He may decide to play

:00:50. > :00:56.the thin red into the right centre, but it is very difficult. Taking the

:00:57. > :01:07.red into the left centre, on the black if this goes in... He has

:01:08. > :01:53.overcut it. He will be disappointed, that was an opportunity.

:01:54. > :01:59.Trying to decide if he leaves the white anywhere near the left hand

:02:00. > :02:05.corner pocket, and whether Stuart could cut this sin. -- could cut

:02:06. > :02:34.this in. Got to be careful, Stuart is 56

:02:35. > :02:38.points in front and does not want the referee to say this is going

:02:39. > :02:44.nowhere, you have three shots each to play an aggressive shot otherwise

:02:45. > :02:52.it is a rewrite. Wilson will want that now, obviously, being 56 points

:02:53. > :02:56.behind. 50 odd in front of Andy Hicks eight years ago, in the last

:02:57. > :03:00.evening session, he warned us after some tip tapping, about the losing

:03:01. > :03:23.frame. I was very pleased. It is not the sort of thing that

:03:24. > :03:34.happens often, but it can do. A very big risk, Stuart to play that

:03:35. > :03:46.aggressive safety shot. Whether he is prepared to do that remains to be

:03:47. > :03:54.seen. This is a huge frame. The difference between 6-1 and 5-2.

:03:55. > :04:04.John Parrott committee quite rightly said in the studio, if Stuart

:04:05. > :04:10.Bingham can finish this session 5-3 down... He really would feel he's

:04:11. > :04:40.had a tremendous result. Given the way that he has played so far.

:04:41. > :04:51.You feel that it may well have to be Stuart Bingham that plays the

:04:52. > :04:54.aggressive safety shot, because trailing by 56 points, Kyren Wilson

:04:55. > :04:58.will just keep rolling into these reds, he will want there to be a

:04:59. > :05:10.rewrite which is the last thing in the world that Stuart once. --

:05:11. > :05:16.re-rack. Stuart cleverly taking that opportunity to push a read on to be

:05:17. > :05:22.side cushion there. A bit of insurance. Should Kyren get a good

:05:23. > :05:52.opportunity in this frame... Kyren has left a pot on. It is

:05:53. > :05:55.fraught with danger, capable of pushing another red to the cushion

:05:56. > :06:14.but this is going nowhere at the moment.

:06:15. > :06:22.Kyren is looking to see if he can play a shot here to pot the red in

:06:23. > :06:30.the middle, he must be careful not to have a push shot here. That might

:06:31. > :06:33.have been a push... He called one himself, that is very kind of Kyren

:06:34. > :06:37.Wilson, I'm sure that the referee would have called anywhere but he

:06:38. > :06:44.made the decision of the referee easy by calling the foul on himself.

:06:45. > :06:49.Well done, Kyren Wilson. The reason it was definitely a push shot, the

:06:50. > :06:58.whites did not try and come back off it. Putting no spin on it at all. A

:06:59. > :07:02.very relieved Stuart Bingham. A great chance for a maximum eight few

:07:03. > :07:54.moments ago, the key thing was to win that frame.

:07:55. > :07:59.The frame is now clearly over. Stuart Bingham has the chance

:08:00. > :08:02.Stephen Hendry was talking about, to get

:08:03. > :08:09.out of this session 5-3, it looks like he has won it, he was

:08:10. > :08:15.struggling as much as I'd never seen him struggle at the Crucible, in the

:08:16. > :08:17.opening four or five frames -- as I had ever seen him struggle at the

:08:18. > :08:50.Crucible. A very relieved Stuart Bingham.

:08:51. > :08:57.Winning the seventh frame, trailing now by 5-2.

:08:58. > :09:01.STUDIO: What is your assessment of that frame, what did you pick out

:09:02. > :09:04.for us? Obviously, we have a wonderful sport that we play and the

:09:05. > :09:08.great thing is the integrity, no doubt that this is a push but the

:09:09. > :09:12.first thing for Kyren Wilson, he held up his hand to it. Playing

:09:13. > :09:16.close, each rise to drive the cue back but he knows straightaway

:09:17. > :09:21.himself he has played a push shot. He tells the referee it is a push,

:09:22. > :09:25.and the foul is against himself. Once again it's another example of

:09:26. > :09:31.sportsmanship. We have seen a couple this week already? Stuart gave

:09:32. > :09:35.himself one of the other day and never touched the black. And he went

:09:36. > :09:40.on to call himself a plonker, what did you think of that frame? Stuart

:09:41. > :09:46.was on at the beginning, the chance of 147, it went away. It is getting

:09:47. > :09:51.those frames in now. As I say, we haven't seen many Huybrechts, the

:09:52. > :09:57.highest was 71 from both players. Still a lot of good qualities there

:09:58. > :10:03.-- hi breaks. But Stuart Bingham would have taken 6-2 but now he

:10:04. > :10:09.could get 6-3. It would be bizarre, Kyren Wilson would be 5-3 up but he

:10:10. > :10:13.would be disappointed. Stuart would be thinking, I've got out of jail!

:10:14. > :10:16.These matches are all about momentum, frame after frame after

:10:17. > :10:24.frame. If Stuart can get this one, you will... John is right, he could

:10:25. > :10:27.feel more positive about my's session. Questions coming in from

:10:28. > :10:34.the viewers. There is a theme running through on whether you guys

:10:35. > :10:39.play at all still. Someone wants to know, do you have tables at home and

:10:40. > :10:46.do you practice on a template and yes, one above my garage, I a knot,

:10:47. > :10:51.-- I play a knock, to remind myself that is what I used to do! And

:10:52. > :10:56.sometimes you practice on these tables? Last night I practised, when

:10:57. > :11:00.they have all got a new cloth on, in the arena, even though I haven't

:11:01. > :11:04.played for a while I thought they were slow. It's interesting that the

:11:05. > :11:11.boys in the commentary said that the cloth did not acquit, that's what I

:11:12. > :11:14.thought. I'd been out a while. I play rarely, the odd exhibition

:11:15. > :11:21.stuff, I do not have a table at home. A bit of golf now and again? I

:11:22. > :11:27.love golf, when I can. I played this morning. Who won? I did! What a

:11:28. > :11:34.surprise! Stephen Hendry the champion! Did not mind me asking

:11:35. > :11:38.that question either, incredible! At this point in the tournament by now,

:11:39. > :11:42.it is day six and there is normally a little, perhaps, known from the

:11:43. > :11:47.players, politely I will say it, about how the tables play but they

:11:48. > :11:52.have been doing really well this year? Excellent, as I say, a few

:11:53. > :11:56.brushes and irons on them, maybe they will quicken up a bit, but they

:11:57. > :12:00.seemed on the slow side a little yesterday. And Peter, the

:12:01. > :12:03.commentators are doing a fine job. A lot of people on Twitter say that

:12:04. > :12:12.they are enjoying your commentary, what did you make of the tables?,

:12:13. > :12:18.COMMENTATOR: Playing slower than has done in the event so far. Both

:12:19. > :12:22.players have struggled with that today. It is shots like this where

:12:23. > :12:32.you have two puts an extra pace into the cue ball, and he very hard.

:12:33. > :12:37.-- put extra pace into the cue ball, and hit it very hard.

:12:38. > :12:39.You can play it relatively smoothly with a touch on to the right-hand

:12:40. > :12:51.side. You can see there, he hit it quite

:12:52. > :12:58.hard. But, the white has finished this side of the blue, and it is the

:12:59. > :13:02.right hand side you put onto the cue ball there, it through the cue ball

:13:03. > :13:14.thick. Interesting to see what Kyren

:13:15. > :13:21.Wilson's concentration is like now, in the last couple of friends he has

:13:22. > :13:29.had some chances. -- frames. This frame is one that he will be

:13:30. > :13:35.desperate to win. In a strange way, he's had the

:13:36. > :13:40.opportunity to possibly go 6-0 up, you may be slightly disappointed if

:13:41. > :13:46.he wins this to go 6-2? He would be devastated if he only gets 5-3? It's

:13:47. > :13:51.a great chance, exactly how he would like. Four more loose reds. To get

:13:52. > :13:54.this frame before he has to worry about going into the bunch but

:13:55. > :13:59.ideally he should play into the pack here. As long as you missed that red

:14:00. > :14:03.next to the black and screw into the pack this time, it will work

:14:04. > :14:13.perfectly. He has that loose rednecks to the black as well --

:14:14. > :14:15.that loose red next to the black. Kyren Wilson has do get that black.

:14:16. > :14:41.A lifeline for Stuart Bingham. Got through that a bit quick. Going

:14:42. > :14:47.on the right-hand side with power, through the cue ball to the left.

:14:48. > :14:53.That is why the black went back onto the

:14:54. > :15:02.far jaw. Stuart will be buzzing inside, he will be delighted if he

:15:03. > :15:17.can possibly finish this session only 5-3 down. Kyren looking under

:15:18. > :15:25.pressure there. A terrible shot from Stuart Bingham. If he's on the pink,

:15:26. > :15:30.he is very fortunate. A massive slice of fortune, he played the

:15:31. > :15:47.previous red, and mis-hit it. Plum on the pink. That is why he has got

:15:48. > :15:49.the name Ballroom Bingham. That was such good fortune. And saying that

:15:50. > :16:20.come he has messed it up. He just misjudged the cannon of the

:16:21. > :16:28.red in the pack, wanted to screw back another four to six inches

:16:29. > :16:30.there. He will have to take his medicine and play a good safety

:16:31. > :16:50.shot. So, a reprieve. Kyren Wilson...

:16:51. > :16:54.Stuart will be very disappointed that he did not make a telling

:16:55. > :17:08.contribution from that visit, if not a frame-winning contribution. And

:17:09. > :17:14.that is a plant. Those Stuarts are either very close together or

:17:15. > :17:20.touching. -- those reds are either very close together or touching.

:17:21. > :17:26.This is an almost certainty to go in.

:17:27. > :17:40.Just needs to make it, slightly... One of those reverse plants. Except

:17:41. > :17:47.for the far jaw, two inches from the pocket but he could hit it in. If

:17:48. > :17:59.it's thin, I don't fancy it being a plant.

:18:00. > :18:06.In fairness, it is his turn to be the unfortunate. Playing it's thin,

:18:07. > :18:10.wanting to reverse, you have to go thick to make the angle. Will he

:18:11. > :18:21.take the long green on to win the frame? Or did him a chance to win

:18:22. > :18:25.the frame? Looking at the angle... This is the sort of shot that under

:18:26. > :18:29.pressure, it touch at the left-hand side, you can get through the ball

:18:30. > :18:37.quickly and go thick. He needs to cue this smoothly...

:18:38. > :18:40.That was the problem, he got through that a little quick with a touch of

:18:41. > :18:52.the left-hand side. And through the grain thick.

:18:53. > :19:06.He saw another chance, for Stuart Bingham.

:19:07. > :19:13.This really should be 5-3 now. I was about to say, it is amazing how many

:19:14. > :19:17.times and interval changes matches but looking at the score, Kyren

:19:18. > :19:27.Wilson came out after the interval and made a break of 70 to go 5-0 in

:19:28. > :19:32.front. In that tie it was 33, Bingham has since made a break of

:19:33. > :19:36.50, into two frames he has every chance of making a sizeable

:19:37. > :19:41.contribution here, the black is out of play but the pink is available in

:19:42. > :19:44.all four high-scoring corner pockets here. The two Middles and the two

:19:45. > :20:58.Kontas. -- Corners. Ideally off one of the next two or

:20:59. > :21:37.three reds he will get that green out of the way.

:21:38. > :21:47.Playing the green now, but whether he will do or not... Yes, he is

:21:48. > :21:56.playing it. Making it easy around the reds around there. Isn't it

:21:57. > :22:05.strange, the Peter Dooley arrow keys of the psychology of snicker? Kyren

:22:06. > :22:09.Wilson will be very disappointed if he leads 5-3 but if you gave him

:22:10. > :22:16.that at the start, he would have been delighted. Before the ball was

:22:17. > :22:20.potted? Absolutely. He would have taken it in a heartbeat. Quite

:22:21. > :22:26.right, this was a mind game. When you have 21 days here, under this

:22:27. > :22:32.much pressure, you will go through spells like this. Stuart Bingham

:22:33. > :22:38.now, as they were saying in the studio, if you've got a bad session,

:22:39. > :22:40.making it a 5-3 session, he has had his bad session here and he's going

:22:41. > :23:36.to come out 5-3. Stephen Hendry used the phrase

:23:37. > :23:43."Damage limitation" in the studio... At the moment, Stuart Bingham is

:23:44. > :23:53.doing a very good job of managing that situation. He will be

:23:54. > :23:57.absolutely delighted. If he can finish this session only 5-3

:23:58. > :24:02.behind... That young man will be very disappointed. Just one more red

:24:03. > :24:17.is needed, playing for choice... You are kidding me? Wow. Did he have a

:24:18. > :24:24.kick here? I don't think so, just getting on those two

:24:25. > :24:31.reds. But with the black where it is an those two reds where they are, he

:24:32. > :24:35.is still the massive favourite to get this frame. He will have to go

:24:36. > :25:09.through the ringer for a little while now.

:25:10. > :25:22.Another very good shot with the rest from Wilson, he is very strong in

:25:23. > :25:30.that department. 11 out of 11, 100%! Wow...

:25:31. > :25:37.You can see the statistics. This is tough, he will have to play this

:25:38. > :25:43.with some pace. What a shot! Unfortunately he has finished

:25:44. > :25:49.straight. You would have loved angle on this last red, second to last

:25:50. > :25:55.red, sorry, he could have rolled the read out and coming for the pink. He

:25:56. > :25:57.will play this snicker behind the green or brown, probably behind the

:25:58. > :26:27.green, but every chance that he can snooker on both reds. Must make sure

:26:28. > :26:35.that you cover the red with the blue and the green. That is not a good

:26:36. > :26:39.shot committee can take this on... 35 points in it, this is frame ball,

:26:40. > :26:53.he won't be kissing the red off the cushion. That last shot from Kyren

:26:54. > :27:00.Wilson was poor? He erred on the side of caution. He made sure he

:27:01. > :27:06.gave himself no chance of dislodging this other red from the cushion.

:27:07. > :27:11.Quite a task safety shot here, playing with a lot of right-hand

:27:12. > :27:17.side. He has played it really well. An

:27:18. > :27:27.excellent safety shot. Slightly short... With pace but very good,

:27:28. > :27:36.good line. He would love to have a go but if he plays this and jaws the

:27:37. > :27:48.red, he could bring the others into play. I would refuse this one.

:27:49. > :27:56.Refused it for that reason, probably. Has Kyren Wilson tried to

:27:57. > :28:04.move the other red out? He is a very attacking player and

:28:05. > :28:09.has already looked at it. The only problem with that shot is that

:28:10. > :28:19.there's the possibility playing this with pace, that the cue ball could

:28:20. > :28:23.stay where red is. That is brilliant! Absolutely

:28:24. > :28:32.brilliant. He has been very, very unlucky. A wonderful pot, taking the

:28:33. > :28:37.opportunity to move the red off the black cushion. He has got a

:28:38. > :28:45.straightforward safety shot, but he will be very disappointed not to be

:28:46. > :28:52.on a colour there. He has to play the brown, full ball.

:28:53. > :29:03.The only problem is, he will need the black of the last red. He better

:29:04. > :29:09.hope that this is a snooker! He's got the opportunity to bring the

:29:10. > :29:15.black off the cushion and leave the snick

:29:16. > :29:28.-- snooker behind the pink. He is looking there now. I think that

:29:29. > :29:36.would be a very good shot, because Stuart not only has two hit the red,

:29:37. > :29:37.he had to leave it safe. He needs to avoid a double-kiss on

:29:38. > :29:51.the black here. Unfortunately, for him, he did not

:29:52. > :29:56.avoid it. But I still think that he has got the snooker. A bit sticking

:29:57. > :30:08.out there. That was not a very good shot.

:30:09. > :30:21.Stuart can just clip this thread. -- read.

:30:22. > :30:33.If he does clip it, the red will be heading into the middle pocket. The

:30:34. > :30:44.fact that Kyren has brought the black of the cushion... May even

:30:45. > :30:52.play it back into baulk. He had better cover it up.

:30:53. > :31:18.There is a possibility here, if Kyren hits the cushion first, he

:31:19. > :31:23.might be able to hit the back side of the red and send the cue ball

:31:24. > :31:36.towards the green and brown, hopefully for him, behind the brown.

:31:37. > :31:47.It is key to get the object ball safe here.

:31:48. > :31:57.Not bad. Obviously from match .com he wasn't quite snookered. We didn't

:31:58. > :32:06.realise he could actually see the red. Under the circumstances, that

:32:07. > :32:13.was a very good shot, played with lots of left-hand side. Tried to get

:32:14. > :32:22.the cue ball behind the brown depending on whether the cue ball

:32:23. > :32:31.made contact with the baulk cushion. The safety shot the Stuart but he

:32:32. > :32:35.could play this would left-hand side and send the red behind the black

:32:36. > :32:42.and the cue ball behind the brown. That is what he has tried. It is a

:32:43. > :32:52.great effort. Great effort. APPLAUSE

:32:53. > :33:04.Kyren is in one of those situations where I don't think if he can hit it

:33:05. > :33:14.hard enough to stun the red. He is bound to get some sort of shot on

:33:15. > :33:16.the black, should he pot it. The White will be somewhere near the

:33:17. > :33:35.blue spot if he plays it at pace. I don't think he has hit it hard

:33:36. > :33:42.enough. He has left an easy snooker and the red made pass the black into

:33:43. > :33:49.the green pocket. Would you pay the pot or the snooker? I would play the

:33:50. > :33:55.snooker. Looks like he is playing the pot.

:33:56. > :34:06.It is there. Perhaps that is one of the reasons Stuart beat me to --

:34:07. > :34:21.five in the first round! Barring snookers, Stuart Bingham has

:34:22. > :34:25.performed a miracle. Has got out of this session 50 red. Well played,

:34:26. > :34:38.Stuart Bingham. -- 50 red. He has managed to pull this out of

:34:39. > :34:53.the fire. He will be absolutely delighted.

:34:54. > :35:25.What a wonderful second shot that is.

:35:26. > :35:33.Just relax a little bit. The fact that he is delighted to have got

:35:34. > :35:43.back into the match, just relaxed a little bit on that yellow. No

:35:44. > :35:50.massive breaks from Stuart but has played great matchplay snooker from

:35:51. > :36:18.5-0 behind. Got him three frames on the board.

:36:19. > :36:33.Good opportunity to lay a snooker here for Kyren Wilson. That is far

:36:34. > :36:38.too thin. And that is it. Well played Stuart Bingham. He will be

:36:39. > :36:46.absolutely delighted to finish this session only 50 red down.

:36:47. > :36:54.Studio-macro that is why we love this sport and this game. Kyren

:36:55. > :36:59.Wilson, 5-0 up and cruising. He will be saying he has given Stuart

:37:00. > :37:08.Bingham an opportunity to get back into this match. Yes, but if anybody

:37:09. > :37:14.asked him, would you once 5-3 lead, he would have taken it. Stuart is

:37:15. > :37:19.delighted, Kyren is disappointed. But tonight he will still be

:37:20. > :37:27.thinking 5-3 down, not ideal and Kyren Wilson will be saying, once

:37:28. > :37:32.you think about it, 5-3 lead, wins again tomorrow morning, ten -- six

:37:33. > :37:35.going into the final session. You can see that at ten o'clock tomorrow

:37:36. > :37:44.morning. In the meantime, let's bring you up today what is happening

:37:45. > :37:52.on the other table. Neil Robertson taking on not one sign cam. We join

:37:53. > :38:05.it in the second frame of the second session.

:38:06. > :38:31.COMMENTATOR: Great pot. Unlucky with the position.

:38:32. > :39:05.He has gone for the yellow ball. This is a different way. Three

:39:06. > :39:10.questions to hit the yellow. Lots of side.

:39:11. > :40:26.What a shot. Terrific escape and another lovely smile from Noppon.

:40:27. > :40:37.Just got to be careful here. If he misses this time, he will be warned.

:40:38. > :40:44.OK. The age-old problem was always the possibility of a red going over

:40:45. > :40:51.this right-hand corner pocket. Can he hold for the black? He would like

:40:52. > :40:53.to be able to screw the cue ball in potting this red along the top

:40:54. > :41:28.cushion, if he could. He's going to be hampered slightly

:41:29. > :41:40.with the red. Makes this pot a little bit more difficult.

:41:41. > :41:50.Had to be careful on his delivery, the cue didn't hit the red. Played

:41:51. > :41:56.it nicely. If he can get rid of the red after potting this black, the

:41:57. > :42:00.wombat blocks the path of the black into the right-hand corner pocket,

:42:01. > :42:49.it will open up both corner pockets. Two reds he can get on here. Bottom

:42:50. > :43:02.red from the five underneath the black. Couple of choices.

:43:03. > :43:08.He is going to need a nice angle on the blue again so he can disturb the

:43:09. > :43:32.pack of reds around the black. That's OK, there is a red gone

:43:33. > :43:36.towards the middle pocket and one towards the corner. He is on the

:43:37. > :43:42.yellow. He took the opportunity there. Was unlucky not to finish on

:43:43. > :43:54.the blue. But the yellow was always on.

:43:55. > :45:26.That was a strange positional shot from Noppon.

:45:27. > :45:35.But that's a good recovery. He has obviously got a lot of confidence in

:45:36. > :45:37.his long potting. He is starting to enjoy being at the Crucible Theatre,

:45:38. > :46:08.even though he is so far behind. I was thinking, the winner of this

:46:09. > :46:12.match will play Marco Fu and he was 7-1 down against Luca Brecel and

:46:13. > :46:20.came back and won that match. Incredible comeback, he played some

:46:21. > :46:25.incredible snooker in the second session of that match. It looks like

:46:26. > :46:30.Noppon is starting to relax and enjoy himself. He was very nervous

:46:31. > :46:42.yesterday. But still enjoyed just being here in the whole ambience and

:46:43. > :46:49.the Na style check atmosphere. It is a great experience for him. Now he

:46:50. > :47:13.is just starting to relax. Smiling again.

:47:14. > :47:28.He has made 54 break. Turnaround from Noppon. Fantastic break and he

:47:29. > :47:36.wins another frame. But it is Neil Robertson, still only two for a

:47:37. > :47:43.place in the next round. STUDIO: Noppon making a good start

:47:44. > :47:48.in this session. Robertson is needing just one frame to set up a

:47:49. > :48:27.tie with Marco Fu on Sunday. Early stages and Robertson is on a break.

:48:28. > :48:35.This is a good chance for the former world champion here, Neil Robertson.

:48:36. > :48:38.He has left himself a little straighter on the black. Just a

:48:39. > :48:49.little bit careless but it shouldn't be a problem. He will have to head

:48:50. > :48:54.up for the blue now. You want to keep close control, rather than

:48:55. > :49:03.having to keep heading up for the blue and then back again. If he

:49:04. > :49:05.takes the red in the middle pocket, he can stay on the black, which will

:49:06. > :49:20.be better for him. Was talking to a friend of Neil

:49:21. > :49:27.Robertson, sometimes practices with him. He says Neil has been

:49:28. > :49:32.practising as hard as he has ever seen for this championship. Hasn't

:49:33. > :49:42.had the best of seasons so far. His only win was back almost 11 months

:49:43. > :49:49.ago. No one has been really mentioning Neil. The joint

:49:50. > :49:57.favourites. Mark Selby and Judd Trump, but Judd Trump has already

:49:58. > :50:02.gone. People talking about Ronnie O'Sullivan and John Higgins, but

:50:03. > :50:09.nobody mentioning Neil. He is doing very nicely here, he could be in

:50:10. > :50:19.with a shout this year. He said, he has come in under the radar a little

:50:20. > :50:26.bit. It might suit him. Not coming here with a big favourite tag on his

:50:27. > :50:31.shoulders. Sometimes it can weigh heavy on the player. Once again, he

:50:32. > :50:35.has come up a long way short. He made a string of breaks early on in

:50:36. > :50:45.the match yesterday, including the 113. No, it is not their... Just!

:50:46. > :50:51.Didn't think that was going in. Probably the new cloth has helped it

:50:52. > :50:55.because it has gone in the angle. Thought he missed it. That looked

:50:56. > :51:05.wide. Just the pace. Any harder, it

:51:06. > :51:28.certainly wouldn't have dropped. No need to go into that reds, there

:51:29. > :51:38.are enough loose red Baird to secure the frame and the match.

:51:39. > :51:55.He looks a bit bemused. Overdone it this time.

:51:56. > :52:06.That was the problem. Now he is left with quite a tricky one. Still

:52:07. > :52:09.plenty of reds on the table as we show you the cannon. You never know

:52:10. > :52:17.exactly where the white is going to finish. It couldn't have finished

:52:18. > :52:25.any more awkward. He can see the pink. He can see the black. I think

:52:26. > :52:35.the pink might be slightly easier pot. Only a couple of pots away from

:52:36. > :52:43.winning the match here. Terrific cueing. That is the end and it has

:52:44. > :52:48.to be said, the young player from Thailand, Noppon Saengkham, smiled

:52:49. > :52:54.all the way through this match. Didn't get off to a good start. Did

:52:55. > :53:00.well this afternoon, winning the two opening frames. I am sure we will be

:53:01. > :53:05.seeing much more of Noppon. Has been a great experience for him. Some

:53:06. > :53:11.good games against some top players. Anthony Hamilton being one of them.

:53:12. > :53:22.Ian Walker as well, former quarterfinalist here. I think he has

:53:23. > :53:27.enjoyed himself, hasn't he? A lot of them might have come through, Graeme

:53:28. > :53:30.Dott had to come through the qualifying rounds. Although he is

:53:31. > :53:37.such an experienced player here, Graeme Dott. Graeme Dott played well

:53:38. > :53:39.and was too tough for Ali Carter. Wouldn't it be ironic if the former

:53:40. > :53:55.champion finished a century break. No century break, that is wide.

:53:56. > :54:03.Noppon comes forward. Congratulate the former world champion. I like

:54:04. > :54:11.that. Charming gentleman from Thailand. He waves to everyone as he

:54:12. > :54:16.leaves the Crucible Theatre. We will see him again. The Australian was

:54:17. > :54:24.too strong and in the end he ran out of very comfortable winner. Neal,

:54:25. > :54:31.you obviously want to bury the match as quickly as possible? It is a

:54:32. > :54:39.tough position to be in, 7-2 and the match is still alive. But it is

:54:40. > :54:46.difficult to lose 9-1 from there. Not quite the same motivation as

:54:47. > :54:51.yesterday, but Noppon came out all guns blazing, putting in all kinds

:54:52. > :54:56.of crazy balls. He made a bit of a match of it in the end. Very happy

:54:57. > :55:00.to get through, that is what it's all about, the first round. I got

:55:01. > :55:07.yesterday was a professional performance, some good play by

:55:08. > :55:11.myself and potted some crucial balls. You can never take anything

:55:12. > :55:17.for granted. Michael Holt beat you last year. As someone who is one of

:55:18. > :55:21.the favourites, you must have noticed and had your own thoughts on

:55:22. > :55:27.that incredible when Rory had over Judd Trump? Yes, that is the other

:55:28. > :55:35.side of the draw. It is irrelevant with my hopes this year. Maybe, Judd

:55:36. > :55:41.and I would have had to make the final for that to be significant.

:55:42. > :55:45.Last year I played Michael Holt, who has been playing like a top-10

:55:46. > :55:49.player for the last 18 months. This day, it was nice to have somebody

:55:50. > :55:56.who is inexperienced and I put him under pressure early yesterday.

:55:57. > :56:03.Marco Fu in the second round. It is a cliche, but there are no easy

:56:04. > :56:07.matches, especially in the last 16? Apart from Judd, all the matches

:56:08. > :56:12.probably went as what you thought they would do. It is fantastic for

:56:13. > :56:18.the title to have the top seeds in. It is going to be so hard to win.

:56:19. > :56:23.Well done. STUDIO: The key thing Neil Robertson

:56:24. > :56:27.used, a professional job done by the Australian. Look at that draw. John

:56:28. > :56:32.Parrott and Stephen Hendrie still with me in the studio, it is loaded

:56:33. > :56:37.with big names? If you had asked at the start of the programme, who did

:56:38. > :56:41.you think, you would pick Mark Selby, but look at the names in

:56:42. > :56:45.there. And the bottom half is no easier to pick the winner in. Is

:56:46. > :56:54.this the year of former champion wins it or can you see somebody

:56:55. > :56:59.causing a massive shock? It would be difficult to choose. It comes from

:57:00. > :57:08.the top half of the draw? I think so. Ronnie had a hard match and he

:57:09. > :57:12.had to work hard. But if he is focused and here for the 17 days

:57:13. > :57:16.with his snooker head on, he will take some beating. I don't know what

:57:17. > :57:20.you have planned for the night, cancel what you had planned, but hit

:57:21. > :57:28.the red button at seven o'clock but this. The rockets, Ronnie

:57:29. > :57:31.O'Sullivan. Here comes the Magician, Shaun Murphy. I am happy to be in

:57:32. > :57:39.the tournament, happy to be out there playing. You have to embrace

:57:40. > :57:44.it all. I came here in good form a few years ago and he swept me to one

:57:45. > :57:49.side. He is capable of anything. You don't just play Ronnie, you play his

:57:50. > :57:53.entourage, the intimidation factor. You play the crowd. Last year I got

:57:54. > :58:02.involved in all the other stuff and forgot to play. It is snooker, not

:58:03. > :58:09.boxing. 7pm the night and we are on the red button every night. I am

:58:10. > :58:15.cancelling my plans for the night. It should be a cracker. The start is
