:00:19. > :00:21.Welcome to our penultimate Sport Wales of the year.

:00:22. > :00:32.John Fox Davies opens up on his return to Welsh rugby.

:00:33. > :00:37.There is no other club. I couldn't play for any other region.

:00:38. > :00:39.Thankfully, they are having me back. United at last - we bring you

:00:40. > :00:50.Gabbidon and Earnie. We look like brothers here. Debris

:00:51. > :00:51.quarterly before that? That's just great style. Not!

:00:52. > :00:55.Paralympian athlete Hollie Arnold gives Christian a masterclass.

:00:56. > :01:00.A little bit of a drop on the elbow. I'd stick to your day job.

:01:01. > :01:05.And meet Romeo Romaeo - a very unique boxer.

:01:06. > :01:11.Every boxer is not me and every boxer doesn't think like me. World

:01:12. > :01:12.champion, that's how good I will be!

:01:13. > :01:18.So Jonathan Davies is coming back to Wales, where he'll link up with

:01:19. > :01:21.his younger brother James at the Scarlets next season.

:01:22. > :01:23.Davies missed the Rugby World Cup with a knee injury,

:01:24. > :01:29.After two years in Clermont, Gareth Rhys Owen went to France to

:01:30. > :01:41.Recovery, a slow, painful, often lonely existence...

:01:42. > :01:47.until it's time to get back on the tracks.

:01:48. > :01:50.How are you feeling, how is the injury?

:01:51. > :01:56.The first week back in full training now, so...

:01:57. > :01:59.You know, hopefully I'll be able to get selected in the next couple

:02:00. > :02:03.It's been a long time, but, you know, it's gone quite smoothly

:02:04. > :02:10.The knee has been off-limits, but you still been working the guns,

:02:11. > :02:16.I've had a big summer, literally always at the gym,

:02:17. > :02:20.I think some of the boys would love it, but...

:02:21. > :02:24.You know, it's part of rehab and it's...

:02:25. > :02:28.If you look in the mirror, you feel good when you see a bit of gun.

:02:29. > :02:31.Lyn Jones said this week that to the French clubs,

:02:32. > :02:35.How you feel the difference between how you are treated in France

:02:36. > :02:39.We get looked after really well here in France.

:02:40. > :02:42.We know what we're putting ourselves through.

:02:43. > :02:45.Travelling backwards and forwards after Internationals is tough, but I

:02:46. > :02:56.You know, we don't play and we don't get pushed to play.

:02:57. > :03:03.But Davies is going home to a region that is also flying high.

:03:04. > :03:06.The Scarlets are seven from eight in the Pro12.

:03:07. > :03:12.I loved my time out in France and I've still got, you know,

:03:13. > :03:19.I want to finish my time out here and leave on a good note.

:03:20. > :03:21.I look forward to going back and thankfully

:03:22. > :03:29.I couldn't play for any other region, I don't think.

:03:30. > :03:34.That's who I grew up supporting and, you know, for me, that was always...

:03:35. > :03:37.If I was going to go back, that would be the club,

:03:38. > :03:41.It's quite nice, really, to think there is still the sense

:03:42. > :03:45.of loyalty or a sense of love for a region, because people tend to

:03:46. > :03:50.Yeah, people might suggest that, but I don't think it happens.

:03:51. > :03:56.Playing for the Scarlets for eight years,

:03:57. > :03:59.you get the sense that whoever played for the club loved it.

:04:00. > :04:02.The boys there when I was there were a great bunch

:04:03. > :04:06.of boys and it's a sense that you go in there and you just have

:04:07. > :04:10.Other people have been linked to the Scarlets.

:04:11. > :04:13.There's a big bit of a buzz there, you know?

:04:14. > :04:19.I think, you know, credit to the boys there now.

:04:20. > :04:24.They've won seven out of eight, I think, and there's a good feeling.

:04:25. > :04:27.I was speaking to my brother and stuff like that and the rest

:04:28. > :04:30.of the boys, there's a good buzz around the club and people want to

:04:31. > :04:34.That is what they are doing at the moment.

:04:35. > :04:48.I don't know if we've got all night, or...

:04:49. > :04:50.Let's start with the proper rugby stuff first.

:04:51. > :04:55.He's playing really well. He is.

:04:56. > :05:01.And I think people have been saying it for years, you know, look

:05:02. > :05:03.at him last year when he just turned 24, people were wondering why

:05:04. > :05:13.He just needed an opportunity at the Scarlets and he had that and

:05:14. > :05:27.I think we both have our strengths, we both have our weaknesses.

:05:28. > :05:28.I'm going to be quite political, but...

:05:29. > :05:44.Who gets their Twitter account tattooed on their body, like?

:05:45. > :05:54.Yeah, my mother might kill me if I'd...

:05:55. > :06:03.I've always thought of having a tattoo, but I just think, no.

:06:04. > :06:05.We'll have a look and see what it looks like.

:06:06. > :06:07.We'll see what it looks like and then we can decide

:06:08. > :06:23.I don't think it goes with a baby face, to be honest.

:06:24. > :06:28.No, I don't think it's me, to be honest.

:06:29. > :06:35.Well, thanks for getting those knuckles done, because I'll

:06:36. > :06:52.And another Welsh exile who will not be wearing a Wales assured again,

:06:53. > :06:58.the real Mike Phillips on Monday the 7th of December at 9pm on BBC One

:06:59. > :06:59.Wales. Let's talk football and hear

:07:00. > :07:01.from a duo who've played together for both club and country

:07:02. > :07:04.and faced each other for different Sport Wales reunited Danny Gabbidon

:07:05. > :07:08.with Robert Earnshaw. Just off the back of MLS season,

:07:09. > :07:28.Vancouver, how is that going? We had the best season that

:07:29. > :07:33.the Whitecaps has ever had. We finished in the top three, which

:07:34. > :07:36.is the highest place that Vancouver Also the best thing was becoming

:07:37. > :07:43.Canadian champions, which was... The team has never won a trophy,

:07:44. > :07:46.so I was happy because it's been Do you see yourself going

:07:47. > :08:03.into the coaching a bit more? I don't know,

:08:04. > :08:09.coaching definitely interests me, so I think there's something great

:08:10. > :08:16.about, if you can help somebody and then you see it flourish

:08:17. > :08:39.on the pitch and you can see them How did you find coaching? It is

:08:40. > :08:45.hard. But it was exciting as well. After two or three games, you think,

:08:46. > :08:51.yeah, you get used to the day to day running of 18.

:08:52. > :08:55.I saw the attire on the side. Yeah, I had my dear.

:08:56. > :09:02.It was good, I would've loved for you to have been my manager.

:09:03. > :09:06.You would have killed me! Just want to move onto some of your

:09:07. > :09:13.achievements as a player. 13 clubs I think it is, over ?12 million worth

:09:14. > :09:16.of transfers I think it is as well. Did you think that would happen at

:09:17. > :09:18.the start of your career when you were a kid?

:09:19. > :09:22.I thought I would score as many goals as I have, yeah, because...

:09:23. > :09:25.It was like, that's what I want to do and that's what I'm going to do.

:09:26. > :09:29.I never knew that I would play I think it is six countries,

:09:30. > :09:31.I played in Scotland, Wales, England, Israel, Canada and the US.

:09:32. > :09:36.So I never knew that I would, you know,

:09:37. > :09:46.I've got to experience life and football at the same time.

:09:47. > :09:49.You've certainly been one of the best players that I've had

:09:50. > :09:58.That time at Cardiff was phenomenal, good times we played together.

:09:59. > :10:03.You had a lot of fun with Sam Hammam!

:10:04. > :10:05.You cost him a fortune, scoring all those goals!

:10:06. > :10:06.Do you remember when Gouldy was manager?

:10:07. > :10:10.You guys would be wrestling on the floor in training

:10:11. > :10:13.while training was going on, he's trying to beat you up!

:10:14. > :10:20.I remember when we were training and Bobby is like jumping all over

:10:21. > :10:29.Bobby Gould has just come from being Wales manager, perspective and

:10:30. > :10:32.everything like this and then he's chasing Robert Earnshaw down...

:10:33. > :10:46.Like, 20, 21 and I'm being chased by Bobby Gould and he's diving

:10:47. > :10:49.on me, tackling me, there's people jumping on, rubbing Bobby's face

:10:50. > :10:53.So we both kind of played together at Cardiff.

:10:54. > :11:00.We've both retired from International in the same year that

:11:01. > :11:06.How's that been, watching the success of the Wales'

:11:07. > :11:12.It's made me proud to see them, to watch them, to see them do well.

:11:13. > :11:15.I think Baley really gets a lot of the credit because, he should

:11:16. > :11:21.But I think everybody else, I think, everybody should start crediting

:11:22. > :11:30.So no kind of little bit of envy, not being a part of it?

:11:31. > :11:33.No, I've not got much envy, I still...

:11:34. > :11:36.Yeah, there are times where I still feel like, yeah, you know, maybe I

:11:37. > :11:44.I would love to be going to the torment next year.

:11:45. > :11:50.Is there any way of getting Gabbidon back on the pitch?

:11:51. > :11:59.Anyway, pleasure to catch up with you, Rob,

:12:00. > :12:05.You make yourself ready for next season.

:12:06. > :12:17.Athletics now, and Great Britain and Wales' Hollie Arnold successfully

:12:18. > :12:21.defended her F46 Javelin title at the World Championships in Doha

:12:22. > :12:25.last month, throwing a championship record of 40.53 metres.

:12:26. > :12:34.Christian Malcolm went to meet her earlier this week.

:12:35. > :12:39.We're indoors today and you don't really associate Javelin throwing

:12:40. > :12:42.within doors. No, of course. The weather is bad

:12:43. > :12:47.today, and not just the weather, it is slippery on the track. We can't

:12:48. > :12:50.go out, we don't want to risk any injuries and getting wet. We will

:12:51. > :12:54.throw behind us with safety nets. We are able to throw, we have special

:12:55. > :13:00.javelins that have a robbery and so we don't affect the Javelin.

:13:01. > :13:03.Obviously they can break. Especially carbon once, Buckley we have these

:13:04. > :13:08.in our training facilities. Talk me through the event cure

:13:09. > :13:12.itself. You are in the F 46 category?

:13:13. > :13:17.Yes, it is basically all of our guys are amputees.

:13:18. > :13:23.What is the weight? The weight is 56 grams and baby

:13:24. > :13:28.bottles -- able bodies are able to the same.

:13:29. > :13:33.You know what, you've got a hell of a quick arm, but your arm is quick.

:13:34. > :13:39.That's what we've been working on over these last months coming into

:13:40. > :13:46.Doha. The point, as you will hear a lot of Javelin people say that.

:13:47. > :13:51.Quick arm, fast explosive hips and legs and you're on your way.

:13:52. > :13:55.A lot of it is time as well? Timing is massive in Javelin. If you

:13:56. > :13:58.get everything together, it just happens, you get that one throw

:13:59. > :14:05.right and the world is your oyster, really. Do you want to have a go? Do

:14:06. > :14:11.want me to did you have to do it? Show me, show me. I was always

:14:12. > :14:17.rubbish at this as a kid. Hard.

:14:18. > :14:19.Like that? Bring your arm back to, do you have a good rotation in those

:14:20. > :14:24.shoulders? I am all right.

:14:25. > :14:32.Turn your Palm that way. Yeah.

:14:33. > :14:39.OK... Take a little lean back. And then throw.

:14:40. > :14:43.See, I was scared that Javelin was going to hit the back of my head.

:14:44. > :14:52.It was good power, but you dropped your elbow.

:14:53. > :15:01.You dropped your elbow there. I would stick to your day job! How old

:15:02. > :15:05.were you in Beijing? I had just turned 14. I got selected and it was

:15:06. > :15:11.an amazing experience, I don't think now, looking back, me as a

:15:12. > :15:16.14-year-old, I would ever be there competing in front of 19,000 people.

:15:17. > :15:22.It was very scary, I didn't see my mum and dad for a month, so I was

:15:23. > :15:30.like, thank God! My mum was like, are you OK? I was like, I'm fine,

:15:31. > :15:47.don't worry! Beijing was an amazing experience. Bring on Rio! Now you

:15:48. > :15:51.are a World Champion. Huddersfield? -- had as? You have the unfixed

:15:52. > :15:57.round the corner, how does that feel? There was a lot of pressure on

:15:58. > :16:01.me in Doha, I was number one in the rankings when I went there, doesn't

:16:02. > :16:05.mean you're going to win, you have to go out there and produce the

:16:06. > :16:08.goods. There is a lot of pressure on me but I knew inside I had trained

:16:09. > :16:13.really hard this year, not just them but reading up for the next World

:16:14. > :16:17.Championships and I knew that I could take it and go up and win the

:16:18. > :16:23.gold. I was gutted I didn't break the world record, but that is

:16:24. > :16:28.athletes, you are never happy what you come away with, but in Rio, it

:16:29. > :16:32.is definitely going to be there for the taking and it will definitely be

:16:33. > :16:36.me, I think. I am looking forward to watching you in Rio, I have my

:16:37. > :16:38.fingers crossed for you. Thank you very much.

:16:39. > :16:40.Last weekend, heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury became

:16:41. > :16:45.He is a colourful character who has reached the top of

:16:46. > :16:52.Sport Wales has met a Welshman who has similar dreams, but this

:16:53. > :17:31.This is my home. I left off roadkill, we would go along and pick

:17:32. > :17:34.it when it was in season. I have never eaten chocolate or sweets or

:17:35. > :17:50.drank a fizzy drink. It is beyond extreme. My name is Romeo Casanova

:17:51. > :18:04.Valentino Romaeo. And this is my gym.

:18:05. > :18:12.I have had a very unusual upbringing. People think, you have

:18:13. > :18:24.probably lived around the forest and lived in house, but no, we made our

:18:25. > :18:30.own Cottage, lived off roadkill, we just get what we find. The wild

:18:31. > :18:38.berries, wild mushrooms. Whatever is in season. I have never eaten, a lot

:18:39. > :18:43.of people wouldn't believe it, chocolate. Never eaten chocolate,

:18:44. > :18:50.never eaten sweets, I haven't even drank a fizzy drink. If you think

:18:51. > :18:57.about it, if you go back hundreds of years, you didn't have sweets,

:18:58. > :19:06.cakes, biscuits, burgers, pizza is, fast food, that never existed back

:19:07. > :19:11.in those days and I tend to think, back in those days, yes, that is

:19:12. > :19:26.normal, that is how I am living, I am living how they used to live.

:19:27. > :19:33.I noticed there was a fallen over there, so you can start doing the

:19:34. > :19:42.squatting with the tree trunk. OK, away you go. Me and my dad, we have

:19:43. > :19:48.always had such a close Bond. We are like that. Wherever my dad goes, I

:19:49. > :19:53.go. My dad has always been there for me, he has pushed me to be who I am

:19:54. > :19:56.right now. And right now I am making a name for myself and I am going to

:19:57. > :20:03.be a World Champion one day. That is all thanks to my dad. That's it,

:20:04. > :20:15.good boy! Well done, well done. Are you OK? I make no excuses, I can't

:20:16. > :20:22.give up. It all starts in there. Because I am so strong, mentally

:20:23. > :20:26.strong, if you tell me to do something I will do it without

:20:27. > :20:31.question. You could tell me to jump in the north Atlantic, which I did

:20:32. > :20:36.last year, on the Isle of Skye, I swam in the North Atlantic on

:20:37. > :20:39.Christmas Day. I would just jump in and do what I was told. There you

:20:40. > :21:09.go. Are you ready to go? OK. World Champion. That is how good I

:21:10. > :21:16.will be. Every boxer has told you that. But every boxer is not me, and

:21:17. > :21:21.every boxer doesn't think like me. When I tell myself I can do

:21:22. > :21:25.something and I am going to be something, that means I am going to

:21:26. > :21:29.be aired. A lot of people say, yes, I am going to be disavowed, but they

:21:30. > :21:33.can't do it because they do not have that mentality. Because I tell

:21:34. > :21:48.myself I am going to do it, there you go.

:21:49. > :21:54.Now then, it's FA Cup weekend again, the chance for those in the lower

:21:55. > :21:57.leagues to make a name for themselves and get

:21:58. > :22:01.Among them, a Welshman who is taking his first few steps as a

:22:02. > :22:03.manager, having fought his way back from a life-threatening illness.

:22:04. > :22:18.You love football, you love it when Saturday comes, game day. Chris

:22:19. > :22:21.Tardiff the same, a Swansea boy now managing at Eastleigh. Living for

:22:22. > :22:26.the game, but just glad to be living. Seven years ago he was

:22:27. > :22:31.diagnosed with chronic leukaemia and he couldn't be sure another Saturday

:22:32. > :22:38.would come. How is your help now? Yes, I am billing. Touch wood. I

:22:39. > :22:43.really am. -- brilliant. I am in remission and I have been for the

:22:44. > :22:46.last four years. My life changed a lot, it really did. Getting told

:22:47. > :22:52.that I had leukaemia and my life could be over, within days. The day

:22:53. > :22:59.I got told, I was thinking, am I going to be there to see my child

:23:00. > :23:03.grow up? It is hard to explain, people who have been in my position

:23:04. > :23:06.who have cancer or had it, they could tell you, you worry about

:23:07. > :23:11.everything around you, your family, how they will feel and that really

:23:12. > :23:18.cut you up more than anything. Has it gone away completely? I still

:23:19. > :23:21.have my treatment, I still take tablets. I have checkups every once

:23:22. > :23:28.a year just to check everything is fine. Long may that continue, I am a

:23:29. > :23:33.lucky person. I don't take anything for granted. Welsh managers, there

:23:34. > :23:37.are not too many, Mark Hughes and Tony Pulis leading the way, 2 more

:23:38. > :23:43.in the Football League, then Chris Todd in the National League. I

:23:44. > :23:52.always believed I could do something as a manager, a Welsh by, a solid

:23:53. > :23:57.Welsh boy, as you can imagine, my accent has changed a little bit! It

:23:58. > :24:03.is a bit stronger when I go home to Swansea. I am a Swansea boy at

:24:04. > :24:09.heart. Seeing Wales do well in football is brilliant. What he has

:24:10. > :24:13.done for the Welsh team is amazing. I think he needs more praise because

:24:14. > :24:18.it is incredible. To achieve all they have done. You must look up to

:24:19. > :24:21.those people because it is incredible. I want to be as

:24:22. > :24:27.successful as I can, I am hungry and young and I have a lot to learn. I

:24:28. > :24:31.am in a good place and I can really do that and with time hopefully one

:24:32. > :24:36.day, who knows? If things work out the way I plan in my head, I could

:24:37. > :24:41.be sitting in Chris Coleman's seat. Just two months into the job, Chris

:24:42. > :24:44.Todd could be stepping up a level in May, Eastlake competing with the

:24:45. > :24:50.likes of Wrexham for promotion. It is a club that are very hungry. --

:24:51. > :25:00.Eastleigh. That is why they got me for the role. Hopefully, I can be

:25:01. > :25:04.successful, because I want to be a league football manager, Beckham

:25:05. > :25:14.wants to be there as well. -- the club. He has already seen off Crewe

:25:15. > :25:20.in the FA Cup and the big beasts await in Round 3 of the get past

:25:21. > :25:24.Stourbridge. It was a great achievement for this football club

:25:25. > :25:28.to do what we did, the first time we have played in a proper league

:25:29. > :25:38.competition. We went out and we should great determination, and did

:25:39. > :25:44.some giant-killing. What would be your dream third round fixture? Do I
