:00:21. > :00:24.Good evening. It is a huge weekend for the Cardiff Blues but their big
:00:24. > :00:29.week has been overshadowed by what happened on that flight from
:00:29. > :00:36.Glasgow to Cardiff. We've got the latest on Gavin M -- Gavin Henson
:00:36. > :00:44.and much more. Also on tonight's show, we are in France with Lee
:00:44. > :00:49.Byrne. Players cannot get back home what they are getting in France. If
:00:49. > :00:53.so many offers you double, you go. We assess the Blues chances in
:00:53. > :01:00.Europe. The they can use that negative press to create a siege
:01:00. > :01:09.mentality. Nobody likes us but we don't care. And just 112 days to go
:01:09. > :01:14.in the latest of our London 2012 previews. Can Brett Morse crack the
:01:14. > :01:17.Olympic gold? -- code., he's had four clubs in Wales, England and
:01:17. > :01:21.France in just under two years. This weekend, he probably would
:01:21. > :01:26.have been part of the squad to take on Leinster in their Heineken Cup
:01:26. > :01:33.quarter-final in Dublin tomorrow night. But once again, Gavin Henson
:01:33. > :01:39.finds himself out in the cold. Gavin Henson is coming on for the
:01:39. > :01:45.final 15 minutes. Gavin Henson has been suspended. Will Gavin Henson
:01:45. > :01:48.ever play rugby again? In a statement, the chief executive said
:01:48. > :01:53.the decision sent out a clear message that such behaviour would
:01:53. > :01:59.not be tolerated. A Cardiff Blues gave him an opportunity and he has
:01:59. > :02:04.messed it up again. There are some -- several hundred examples like
:02:04. > :02:09.this and people don't get sacked. There was more drama today as Blues
:02:09. > :02:16.chairman Peter Thomas hit back at criticism for sacking Gavin Henson
:02:16. > :02:21.over his drunken behaviour on a plane. Tom James and Ceri Sweeney
:02:21. > :02:26.were arrested and bailed back in February after an alleged late-
:02:26. > :02:33.night assault on a man in Cardiff. So did Gavin Henson has antics the
:02:33. > :02:42.warrant the p 45? They have sent a harsh precedent in my view. I think
:02:42. > :02:47.there are plenty of examples, Danny Care has been caught drink-driving
:02:47. > :02:50.but is still playing for Harlequins, for me, he is on a short-term
:02:50. > :02:56.contract and they have just lost Jimmy Roberts, I would have told
:02:56. > :03:05.him to put his boots on and proved so wrong against Leicester.
:03:05. > :03:09.feel a bit sorry about the way he has been sacked. It is unacceptable
:03:09. > :03:15.behaviour. There's a bit of history with the Blues and players getting
:03:15. > :03:18.into trouble. They have said, any more trouble and there will be
:03:18. > :03:24.severe consequences. Why did Cardiff signed him if they weren't
:03:24. > :03:30.going to play him choirs like he has not been given a chance.
:03:31. > :03:35.wanted to play at 10 but he's not been given a chance. They're
:03:35. > :03:38.cutting costs there. We know the board and Peter Thomas has probably
:03:38. > :03:42.had enough of pumping money into a region which has not to be going
:03:42. > :03:52.very far. Who can blame him? Peter Thomas has been a fantastic
:03:52. > :03:55.benefactor. Gavin Henson is a member of the Welsh Rugby Players'
:03:55. > :04:00.Association. They told us support was available if the needed it but
:04:00. > :04:03.that he had not been in touch. Going out drinking has landed a
:04:03. > :04:09.Gavin Henson job and the past. But is this entirely his own fault or
:04:09. > :04:12.is he a victim of a deep-rooted rugby culture? A lot of
:04:12. > :04:18.professional sportsmen abstain from alcohol for long periods of time
:04:18. > :04:21.but they have these binges or a blow-out, usually after the
:04:21. > :04:29.tournament or an important game, where they do drink and consume not
:04:29. > :04:34.to knock a hole. These are often organised by the club's and for
:04:34. > :04:38.some players, they seem not to be able to deal with that very well.
:04:38. > :04:43.Gavin Henson the brand has taken a hit with an s Late dropping one
:04:43. > :04:53.sponsorship package. But is there life in Gavin Henson the rugby
:04:53. > :04:54.
:04:54. > :04:59.player? I think somebody will take a gamble on him. He remains
:04:59. > :05:08.potentially a fantastic player. He is in good physical condition. If
:05:08. > :05:12.he goes abroad somewhere like South Africa or Australia. Bristol are
:05:12. > :05:17.looking like they will be promoted in England. They will come into the
:05:17. > :05:21.Premiership and they have to make a late call on signings. Somewhere
:05:21. > :05:25.like that will meet senior players to lead things and that could be
:05:25. > :05:35.the makings of Gavin Henson. Whether they would consider having
:05:35. > :05:38.
:05:38. > :05:43.him, who knows? Is that it for him in terms of Wales? We have better
:05:43. > :05:50.centres playing for Wales at the moment. Has he got the chance? It's
:05:50. > :05:54.a long road back to play for Wales. So another very difficult week for
:05:54. > :05:59.Gavin Henson. Somebody who knows him very well is the former Ospreys
:05:59. > :06:06.coach Sean Holly. Waders define himself in these difficult
:06:06. > :06:14.positions? -- why. He has got into trouble again and it's very
:06:14. > :06:24.disappointing. He was a very rugby intelligent guy and super
:06:24. > :06:24.
:06:24. > :06:28.professional. He has got himself into a bit of trouble. He was at
:06:28. > :06:35.his most comfortable when he was playing consistently in one
:06:35. > :06:41.position. That has not happened since his comeback into rugby.
:06:41. > :06:44.Ruddock this week said the Blues have set a precedent. He said they
:06:44. > :06:51.have to look in the mirror and ask what they have carried out the same
:06:51. > :06:57.action if it was Jamie Roberts or Sam Warburton. I think he's right.
:06:57. > :07:01.They have been a few incidents in my time at the Ospreys. This is not
:07:01. > :07:07.in isolation. It has happened in the past and it is not just Gavin
:07:07. > :07:12.Henson. They have set their stall out and maybe the circumstances
:07:12. > :07:15.mean that Gavin Henson is is it good. Why would the Blues players
:07:15. > :07:21.want to go out and drink in the biggest week of the season? There
:07:21. > :07:25.is this element that the train very hard and they have small windows.
:07:25. > :07:29.But the window is not immediately after very late game when you have
:07:29. > :07:34.an early flight the next day. You have to look at the management.
:07:34. > :07:38.Things should be in place to prevent that. A good environment
:07:38. > :07:45.and culture would ring-fence that and the players themselves would
:07:45. > :07:50.control that. They and the players coming through have that, the likes
:07:50. > :07:54.of Sam Warburton. They are prepared to sacrifice those things for a
:07:54. > :07:59.Grand Slam or a Heineken Cup quarter-final. Gavin Henson has got
:07:59. > :08:01.himself into a predicament. I don't think he has shown the patience and
:08:01. > :08:06.sell for the people that have afforded him a lot of patience
:08:06. > :08:13.since his comeback. That is disappointing. He played for you at
:08:13. > :08:19.the Ospreys. He went to Toulon and Saracens. What next? Will anybody
:08:19. > :08:26.take a gamble on him? It would be a gamble. He is building up a track
:08:26. > :08:35.record. I think he has to earn the respect of the rugby public again.
:08:35. > :08:42.That is not about going out and getting a TV deal. Maybe he's
:08:42. > :08:46.should do something for charity and give something back. My fear is now
:08:46. > :08:52.that he will enter into the TV world again. That is not the Gavin
:08:52. > :08:56.Henson I know. Will he ever achieve anything again in the game? It is
:08:56. > :09:01.only down to him. We will talk more later. According to the bookies,
:09:01. > :09:05.the Welshman most likely to lift the Heineken Cup does not play for
:09:05. > :09:09.the Cardiff Blues, he plays for Clermont Auvergne. Lee Byrne is
:09:09. > :09:14.part of the Celtic invasion, the army of last players heading across
:09:14. > :09:24.the Channel. Graham Thomas went to find out what makes French life and
:09:24. > :09:26.
:09:26. > :09:29.French rugby so attractive. This is worth 50,000 Frenchmen gathered to
:09:29. > :09:34.celebrate when their club became champions of France for the first
:09:34. > :09:37.time a couple of years ago. If they become champions of Europe, at
:09:37. > :09:40.least as many will gather here again and amongst those there'll be
:09:41. > :09:45.solution -- saluting will be a Welshman. Lee Byrne was recognised
:09:45. > :09:53.as one of the leading full-backs in the world until he fell from favour
:09:53. > :09:59.with the last phrase last season. - - with the Ospreys. It was probably
:09:59. > :10:05.one of the worst times of my career. I am fortunate that Clermont
:10:06. > :10:11.Auvergne have come into for me. -- come in for me. I feel like a new
:10:11. > :10:18.player. There were other offers on the table but I decided to come
:10:18. > :10:21.here because of the club on the culture and history. It is run so
:10:21. > :10:26.professionally. When you hear stories from being back in Wales
:10:26. > :10:31.that the French are not as professional, I can honestly say
:10:31. > :10:34.this is the most professional club I've ever been at. It is a city the
:10:34. > :10:40.side of Cardiff and the play in a modern stadium but that is where
:10:40. > :10:44.the similarities end. They play before a sell-out 20,000 crowds
:10:44. > :10:54.after assembling a fantasy 15. They blend foreign imports with French
:10:54. > :10:54.
:10:54. > :10:59.stars. It is not just Clermont Auvergne. This was the other teams
:10:59. > :11:02.have are unbelievable. Playing week-in week-out in this league, it
:11:02. > :11:12.is well have the best in the world at the moment. It is great to be
:11:12. > :11:17.
:11:17. > :11:27.part of that. I am playing with some great players. It is a
:11:27. > :11:28.
:11:28. > :11:33.privilege. He is first choice fullback and there is some good
:11:33. > :11:38.competition. Every week, you after perform here because there is
:11:38. > :11:43.competition on the bench. There is a real motivation to keep your
:11:43. > :11:46.level of performance high. Lee Byrne is a competitive and thrives
:11:46. > :11:51.on that competition. Lee Byrne is one of three large squad players
:11:51. > :11:56.currently in France. Next season, the figure will rise to seven and
:11:56. > :12:02.even youngsters like Alex Cuthbert have held talks with French clubs.
:12:02. > :12:12.So what is the main appeal? If I am totally honest, if it is down to
:12:12. > :12:13.
:12:13. > :12:19.money. If somebody gets offered a job which is higher paid, playing
:12:19. > :12:26.at a higher level in such a great League, why wouldn't you take it?
:12:26. > :12:36.Back home, of people have got families and they have short
:12:36. > :12:37.
:12:37. > :12:45.careers. You have to make the most of it. I don't blame these players
:12:45. > :12:53.for making the most of it. difference, is it marginal or huge
:12:53. > :12:59.differences? Probably double. Probably double what players can
:12:59. > :13:04.get back home. You're talking double the pay. If somebody in an
:13:04. > :13:09.ordinary job was offered double, you would go. Warren Gatland keeps
:13:09. > :13:15.banging on to Welsh players, if you do-gooder France, make sure you get
:13:15. > :13:20.release clauses written into your contract. Is it that simple? It is,
:13:20. > :13:26.if you are at the right club. If you have a squad you can -- that
:13:26. > :13:36.can deal with you being away, fortunately, I have great players.
:13:36. > :13:36.
:13:36. > :13:44.Does it still had not being in the team? If he does. Being a squad
:13:44. > :13:48.member is not what I am about. The boys that works so hard, I am happy
:13:48. > :13:58.for them, but I would have liked to have been there collecting my medal
:13:58. > :14:00.
:14:00. > :14:09.with them. It is up to me now. I really have to put a performance in
:14:09. > :14:13.Lee Byrne is another play you know well. Good to hear he has British
:14:13. > :14:18.and Irish Lions ambitions for next year. Yes, he has some unfinished
:14:18. > :14:22.business there. He has made the move. He has played 14 games for
:14:22. > :14:25.Clermont and reached the latter stages of the Heineken Cup and they
:14:25. > :14:29.will be challenging the top 14, so he will get good quality games. I
:14:29. > :14:32.am glad he has got ambition for that because he is a fine player
:14:32. > :14:36.when he is on a roll and he has unfinished business from the last
:14:36. > :14:39.tour. Lee story is similar to the lot of the boys who go to France,
:14:39. > :14:44.they have been honest, they have gone there for the money. You can't
:14:44. > :14:49.blame them, can you? No, you can't, particularly someone in Lee's
:14:49. > :14:53.position, where he is coming to the twilight of his career. These
:14:53. > :14:56.offers come along and it is big money. You can't blame them. With
:14:56. > :15:01.regards to the regions as well, they have books to balance and it
:15:01. > :15:05.is good business in the end if they have talent coming through. You can
:15:05. > :15:09.understand the situation as far as Lee Byrne is concerned. Welsh rugby
:15:09. > :15:12.is in a financial black hole given the situation and the regions find
:15:12. > :15:18.themselves in. Realistically there is no way they will compete with
:15:18. > :15:23.French clubs? No, there is not. The differential in the Budget is huge.
:15:23. > :15:27.That is reflected in the Heineken Cup. If Welsh teams get to the
:15:27. > :15:31.quarter-final, the semi-final or final, they are doing very well.
:15:31. > :15:35.And against Irish teams. But there are difficult times out there. They
:15:35. > :15:39.have to manage themselves. But the World Cup and the Six Nations has
:15:39. > :15:42.shown there is a lot of young talent coming through now, maybe
:15:42. > :15:45.our developments to stick -- systems are starting to work and if
:15:45. > :15:49.we can give young players a chance to flourish in the big games, we
:15:49. > :15:53.can see what we can produce. There are good times ahead as long as the
:15:53. > :15:58.region's trust in what they have got. We will go head to the big
:15:58. > :16:02.European games in a moment. First, the build-up to London 2012. The
:16:02. > :16:06.discus was one of the icon exports of the Olympics. It has been in
:16:07. > :16:11.every modern games since 1896. It is one of the few disciplines to
:16:11. > :16:16.survive from the ancient Greek Olympiad added has been some time
:16:16. > :16:24.since we had success in a field event. -- and it has been some time.
:16:24. > :16:29.Lynn Davies, whose parents are watching in Cardiff, 1st August and
:16:29. > :16:34.some speeder. Terrific height and a wonderful run, over a eat meat
:16:34. > :16:38.again. Lynn Davies stunned athletics with his winning jump in
:16:38. > :16:42.Japan almost five decades on a young Welshman hopes does bring a
:16:42. > :16:47.similar shock in the world of track and field. -- hope it does bring a
:16:48. > :16:52.similar shock. Brett Morse is the only Welsh discus thrower to have
:16:52. > :16:56.won the UK title and yesteryear -- last year was the youngest in the
:16:56. > :17:01.final at the World Championships. Aged 23, he is a relative newcomer
:17:01. > :17:07.competing in an event dominated by sporting giants. A lot of discus
:17:07. > :17:11.flowers are big, tall guys, six ft eight, strong as an ox, but I'm not.
:17:11. > :17:17.I need to do something to throw as far as them and my skill is my
:17:17. > :17:24.speed. One of the favourites coming in here, struggled a bit under the
:17:24. > :17:28.pressure. Cam Morse pull-out a big threat? No, not quite. Everybody in
:17:28. > :17:34.British discus throwing knows this guy can throw well. His current
:17:34. > :17:40.coach knows there is a world-class tower in Brett Morse. A future
:17:40. > :17:44.British record holder, I am sure. Morse had been coached by Nigel
:17:44. > :17:48.Bevan, who had taken him from junior level to the brink of world-
:17:48. > :17:55.class standard but his form as a senior had been inconsistent so in
:17:55. > :18:01.the autumn of 2011 he decided to change coach. I wanted to be like
:18:01. > :18:05.this guy, a discus coach, he has coached guys who were like me, all
:18:05. > :18:10.about speed and his emphasis on speed, so I thought I would do it.
:18:10. > :18:15.Most athletes see their coaches almost every day but not Brett
:18:15. > :18:19.Morse. His Icelandic coach is based in Sweden. He sees him on training
:18:19. > :18:23.camps but most of the time receives his coaching regimes of life. His
:18:23. > :18:32.practice throws a film that he emails the footage for analysis.
:18:32. > :18:37.After reviewing the clips his coach provides feedback. I really liked
:18:37. > :18:40.the first one... He coaches a lot of athletes this way, from afar.
:18:41. > :18:44.The way we are doing it because I can't get to know him, I can't get
:18:45. > :18:50.to be too friendly with him, so I like it this way because he is the
:18:50. > :18:53.boss and he tells me what to do and that is the way it has to be. As
:18:53. > :18:59.long as I stick to my programme and see a specialist, the conditioning
:18:59. > :19:03.guys, those kinds of people, I will be fine.
:19:03. > :19:07.Ranked 19th in the world as he goes all out to gain his place for
:19:07. > :19:12.London his aims are far more than just becoming the first Welsh throw
:19:12. > :19:16.it to reach an Olympic final. time last year, just being in the
:19:16. > :19:22.Olympics, it was amazing to get picked for Team GB but now, because
:19:22. > :19:27.I made the final in Daegu, exactly the same people, basically the same
:19:28. > :19:32.competition apart from the Olympics, which is huge, so I feel if I
:19:32. > :19:37.compete well I can make it into the top five, and if you are good
:19:37. > :19:41.enough to get into the top five, maybe the top three. I know saying
:19:41. > :19:47.bronze medal as a bit like, oh my God, but I would not write myself
:19:47. > :19:53.off. I am capable if I get it right on the day.
:19:53. > :19:57.And moorland and added 12 profiles in next week's programme. -- 0
:19:57. > :20:00.London 2012 profiles. Now the biggest stories of the last seven
:20:00. > :20:05.days. Congratulations to Gyan Thomas, part of the British team
:20:05. > :20:09.pursuit who won the gold medal at the World Track Cycling
:20:09. > :20:19.Championships in Melbourne. They beat Australia in the final in a
:20:19. > :20:22.world record time of 53.295 seconds. It reminds me of Manchester before,
:20:22. > :20:27.when the Danes pushed as hard there and we broke the world record. We
:20:27. > :20:31.made a lot of games after that and I am sure we will do the same now.
:20:31. > :20:35.Three Welsh rowers have boosted their Olympic hopes after being
:20:35. > :20:39.selected for the GB World Cup squad. Victoria Thornley has been named in
:20:39. > :20:45.the women's quad, Chris Barkley in the men's lightweight four and Tom
:20:45. > :20:51.James will be an immense four or eight. I am either in the eight or
:20:51. > :20:55.the 4th. We have a good chance of winning a gold medal. It is a win-
:20:55. > :20:59.win. Further injury problems for Glamorgan bowler James Harris. He
:20:59. > :21:06.could miss it to the first month of the season as he looks to recover
:21:06. > :21:09.from a mystery groin injury. The Cardiff Devils have qualified for
:21:09. > :21:13.the Elite League play-off finals after beating Coventry Blades. They
:21:13. > :21:16.will pay -- play the Belfast Giants in Nottingham tomorrow with the
:21:17. > :21:26.whinnied facing the whole stingrays or the Nottingham Panthers on
:21:27. > :21:27.
:21:27. > :21:31.Sunday. Former Swansea player Giorgio Chinaglia has died aged 65.
:21:31. > :21:39.He started his career at the Vetch Field. He is one of the pioneers of
:21:39. > :21:42.the North American Soccer League with Pele and Beckenbauer. On
:21:42. > :21:46.Wednesday Wrexham player manager Andy Morrell side two year contract
:21:46. > :21:51.extension. The 37-year-old's new deal is to be player-manager for
:21:51. > :21:55.one more year, then a second year as racecourse boss. In a
:21:55. > :22:00.Championship, Cardiff City remain outside the play-off spots after a
:22:00. > :22:05.goalless draw with Millwall. This header was ruled out. Next up,
:22:05. > :22:09.Middlesbrough tomorrow, followed by Watford. We want to win games. Over
:22:09. > :22:13.the weekend we have two tough games and we have to make sure we try to
:22:13. > :22:18.come out of this weekend as positively as we can going into the
:22:18. > :22:22.last four. Back to rugby and it is a tough
:22:22. > :22:28.European weekend for the Blues and the scarlet. Tomorrow night, the
:22:28. > :22:31.Blues had to Leinster. On Sunday, the Scarlets had to Brive in their
:22:31. > :22:36.quarter-final in the Amlin Challenge Cup. Gwyn Jones reflects
:22:36. > :22:41.on the prospects of Welsh success this weekend.
:22:41. > :22:45.After all the euphoria of a third Welsh Grand Slam in the past eight
:22:45. > :22:50.years and with Wales now ranked as one of the best teams in the world
:22:50. > :22:55.comes a Blues and this -- can the Blues and the scarlet spilled on
:22:55. > :22:59.that momentum by going all the way Europe? Well, for the Blues, ranked
:22:59. > :23:03.4th at the start of this year's Heineken Cup, their preparations to
:23:03. > :23:06.face Leinster in Dublin could not have gone much worse. There was
:23:06. > :23:10.that woeful performance last weekend in Glasgow that was
:23:10. > :23:13.described by their own coach as embarrassing. And if that wasn't
:23:13. > :23:17.depressing enough, Gavin Henson grabbed the headlines again but for
:23:17. > :23:25.all the wrong reasons. So just how do you prepare a team after a
:23:25. > :23:32.weekend like that? There has been a tough couple of days to accept, but
:23:32. > :23:38.the decision was made to cover now the focus has been on the Aviva
:23:38. > :23:43.Stadium on Saturday evening. Things have happened off and on the pitch,
:23:44. > :23:47.it isn't ideal, but it happens sometimes but the game is too big
:23:47. > :23:51.to concentrate on things that have happened in Glasgow. Even more bad
:23:51. > :23:53.news for the Blues when Jamie Roberts was ruled out of action but
:23:53. > :23:58.six months with a cruciate ligament injury but at the same time
:23:58. > :24:04.Leinster have been boosted by the return of the inspirational Brian
:24:04. > :24:09.O'Driscoll for stab as much as your bread and butter, you want to be
:24:09. > :24:13.competing against Europe's best. Alas state game this weekend is
:24:13. > :24:18.exactly the -- a last eight game is the tonic I need after five months
:24:18. > :24:22.out. Leinster are overwhelming favourites and their aim is to be
:24:22. > :24:25.the best passing side in Europe. I believe the Blues must slowdown
:24:25. > :24:29.leads to's high speed offence, compete hard, gamble by putting
:24:29. > :24:33.more bodies in the tackle area to frustrate Leinster and try and get
:24:33. > :24:38.their hands on the ball in a tackle to stop the offload and stop men
:24:38. > :24:42.still going to ground to recycle. The consistency we have managed to
:24:42. > :24:44.show over the last two of three months is brought forward and if
:24:44. > :24:48.anything raised the standard because when you get to the
:24:48. > :24:52.knockout stages of Europe the best teams carry on through into the
:24:52. > :24:56.semi-finals and finals, so we have to make sure we are in that side.
:24:56. > :25:01.The Blues have a man to cope with pressure as he proved with that
:25:01. > :25:08.penalty to seek Wales' win backing debris. The Heineken Cup game was
:25:08. > :25:13.one of the biggest games of the season so far and if you can't
:25:13. > :25:17.score in Leinster in the quarter- final, with a packed stadium, you
:25:17. > :25:22.would never get up for a game, so a huge game and I am looking forward
:25:22. > :25:26.to it. Two sings the Blues can do this weekend. They can use that the
:25:26. > :25:32.negative press and criticism to create a siege mentality. No one
:25:32. > :25:36.likes us but we don't care. They could create some much needed team
:25:36. > :25:41.spirit. Most of the attention has been on the Blues, the Scarlets
:25:41. > :25:45.have been preparing for the trip to Brive in their quarter-final of the
:25:45. > :25:51.Amlin Challenge Cup. Brive -- Brive may not be intimidating a hostile,
:25:51. > :25:56.who can forget the game in 1997, the infamous Battle of Brive?
:25:56. > :26:00.also unseemly and unsightly, it is absolutely mayhem. In fact the
:26:00. > :26:03.Scarlett should have nothing to fear, having beaten them home and
:26:03. > :26:08.away two years ago. The French side are struggling in their domestic
:26:08. > :26:11.championship this year. But it will be tough. This is their only chance
:26:11. > :26:17.of silverware and to get something back for the team and for the fans
:26:17. > :26:21.of Brive editors going to be very noisy and hopefully some good
:26:21. > :26:26.weather and a hostile place for the Scarlett to play. On Sunday the
:26:26. > :26:31.Scarlets pak+ avoid -- must avoid trench warfare and must do a smash-
:26:31. > :26:34.and-grab with the ball coming using the power of George North and
:26:34. > :26:39.Jonathan Davies to maximum effect. We must go out there was a real
:26:39. > :26:45.edge and a good start to promote the crowd, turning on the home team.
:26:45. > :26:50.It is difficult prospect and the boys will relish it. It will be one
:26:50. > :26:54.in the backs. If Brive can contain the likes of George North, the
:26:54. > :26:58.Brive with their passion and fans behind them will get the result.
:26:58. > :27:05.Camp the Welsh side make it through to the semi-final? For the Blues it
:27:05. > :27:09.is too much to ask but for the Scarlets there is a realistic hope.
:27:09. > :27:13.We can talk about some matters on the pitch now. It is a massive task
:27:13. > :27:18.for the Blues, they have won only five times in 20 attempts against
:27:18. > :27:22.Leinster. It is, the current European champions shows --
:27:22. > :27:26.champions. They are worthy champions. The Ospreys had a great
:27:27. > :27:31.win a couple of weeks ago. It is a big ask but having said that Welsh
:27:31. > :27:35.teams seem to do well as underdogs and they'd go into the Aviva
:27:35. > :27:39.Stadium, is that a good thing for the Blues? I think it is. It is a
:27:39. > :27:43.big occasion, they have very little to lose. On the flipside of that,
:27:43. > :27:48.things clearly are not all well behind the scenes. There are some
:27:48. > :27:50.player issues, players leaving, keep injuries to people like Sam
:27:51. > :27:57.Warburton and Jamie Roberts, who leads to would have feared on their
:27:57. > :28:01.day. But they are not there. But for me the Blues have it but --
:28:01. > :28:04.haven't functioned of late. There are problems with their game, their
:28:04. > :28:09.set pieces are not functioning and for all the ability and effort what
:28:09. > :28:11.people around the field, the scrum hasn't gone well. That is somewhere
:28:11. > :28:18.they need to get some parity of their going to get anything out of
:28:18. > :28:22.the game. The Scarlets had to Brive. A tough task. It is a tough task
:28:22. > :28:28.but they are not a top side. They have lost three of their last six
:28:28. > :28:33.at home. IC the Scarlets having a chance. They have six Grand Slam
:28:33. > :28:36.people in their midst, and Ben Morgan, so they should go there
:28:36. > :28:40.with confidence. For meat, and I am sure the supporters, there has been
:28:40. > :28:46.a lot of talk about this team now but it is all about silverware for
:28:46. > :28:49.the Scarlets. They haven't won any silverware since 2003-four. It is
:28:49. > :28:55.about time we saw some. Are you enjoying life away from the
:28:55. > :28:59.Ospreys? I am. I haven't known much difference for the last ten or 15
:28:59. > :29:03.years but I am enjoying being with my family, dinning gardening and
