:00:24. > :00:28.Wales' greatest ever boxing champion.

:00:29. > :00:42.I think boxing went bowling. I just watch myself.

:00:43. > :00:48.We meet the sailing duo with high hopes for Rio.

:00:49. > :00:54.We are in a much stronger position as a team. We will be on the top

:00:55. > :01:01.With rugby stars coming home, is the grass always greener?

:01:02. > :01:13.We catch up with Swansea's South Korean Midfielder Ki Sung-yeung.

:01:14. > :01:19.And we're with golfer Rhys Davies - back in the big time.

:01:20. > :01:23.I played golf to win tournament and coming out on top makes it that much

:01:24. > :01:26.better. Yes, coming soon to a cinema near

:01:27. > :01:29.you, he's Wales' greatest boxer. He's been on the biggest stages

:01:30. > :01:55.and now the glittering career of You have a film out about yourself.

:01:56. > :02:00.Introducing Joe Calzaghe. I am happy with the end result. It

:02:01. > :02:11.is not just about my boxing. It is about my upbringing. Winning all the

:02:12. > :02:18.titles, it goes to show it has been a hard road. It's touches a lot of

:02:19. > :02:29.things from my upbringing that developed me.

:02:30. > :02:46.Doesn't every song start off with a verse? Jab. Jab. Bring it forward.

:02:47. > :02:54.Then you've got the chorus. One two, three, four, knockout part. He seems

:02:55. > :03:03.as much of the character as you are? He makes the film. He is brilliant.

:03:04. > :03:11.It is emotional for me watching it. Seeing your life story of 25 years

:03:12. > :03:15.in the ring in those 90 minutes. Because I have always been quite

:03:16. > :03:21.private. It assures it is not just talent and dedication that makes a

:03:22. > :03:24.person. It is always having a family, people that support you when

:03:25. > :03:33.you are down. Even when you are injured. It is a real life Rocky

:03:34. > :03:40.story with a good ending. Seven years since you retired. I was

:03:41. > :03:45.trying different things. I was doing our bit of acting. I tried acting

:03:46. > :03:52.lessons. I felt I had to get away from Wales. When you do something

:03:53. > :04:00.for 25 years and retire, even though you retire on your own terms at your

:04:01. > :04:08.peak, it is hard to find something else you love. People say, just find

:04:09. > :04:13.something else you love. Before the Roy Jones fight I knew I was going

:04:14. > :04:21.to retire. My hands were gone. Losing the hunger. If you fight just

:04:22. > :04:29.for the money and you are not fighting for the championship, for

:04:30. > :04:36.everything else, you lose. It was time for me to quit. Since I retired

:04:37. > :04:41.people can sit back and appreciate what I achieved in boxing. At the

:04:42. > :04:46.time it took me a long time to get the respect. I cannot believe it is

:04:47. > :05:04.nearly a decade since I beat Jeff Lacy. I can remember the fight like

:05:05. > :05:13.it was yesterday. Dear me. Fantastic. Winding up the right

:05:14. > :05:22.hand. Left hook. What are the next few steps? A

:05:23. > :05:28.manager 's license? Yes, push on. First things first. Enjoying this

:05:29. > :05:36.time. Hoping this will do well. Hoping people will enjoy it. Being

:05:37. > :05:43.inducted into the Hall of Fame, the International Hall of Fame. A Jean

:05:44. > :05:55.Campbell two to be there with the greats of the ring. Life is good.

:05:56. > :05:57.And there will be more from Joe Calzaghe later.

:05:58. > :06:01.Next year Team GB will be heading to Rio to take part in the 2016

:06:02. > :06:04.Amongst them, a sailing duo hoping to turn the silver they won

:06:05. > :06:22.They are the 470 girls with their sights set on Rio. Welsh sailor

:06:23. > :06:27.Hannah Mills and her partner Saskia Clark are leading hawks for the

:06:28. > :06:36.Olympics next year. For years at ago they came away with a silver medal.

:06:37. > :06:41.Before London, we had trained for three or four months together. We

:06:42. > :06:47.then got selected and it was just a whirlwind. Stuff going on but we

:06:48. > :06:52.could not control and that all felt very rushed. We have so much to do

:06:53. > :06:57.me could not put it all in. This campaign we have had a lot longer.

:06:58. > :07:02.We have broken down are ceiling, our teamwork, are communication and

:07:03. > :07:06.rebuilt it. That has taken time. It is a difficult thing to do because

:07:07. > :07:12.you feel you are stepping back. But we are in a stronger position as a

:07:13. > :07:17.team. Different pressures obviously. You are going in as

:07:18. > :07:22.silver medallists. Maybe there was not so much expectation in London.

:07:23. > :07:26.We had a lot of expectation and London. We went in as world

:07:27. > :07:31.champions and knew we could deliver and we got pretty close. But this

:07:32. > :07:35.for years has been about trying to make a difference to win in Rio. We

:07:36. > :07:40.need to make sure that we manage that pretty well. It could be a big

:07:41. > :07:54.distraction for us when we get racing in the Olympics. We need to

:07:55. > :08:01.make sure that we turn up and but a Mac 50p. It is a funny sport,

:08:02. > :08:07.ceiling. If you had a tiny bit more like at the right moment, or the

:08:08. > :08:13.better performance matey better than yours. If we feel we have given all

:08:14. > :08:17.we, delivered our best, then we will be happy with where we come. But if

:08:18. > :08:26.we can achieve that end we will be on the top step of the podium.

:08:27. > :08:35.Displayed your rules. You are on the trapeze. Attached to the back. I am

:08:36. > :08:44.the helm. He steered the boat. I make the final decision. I rely on

:08:45. > :08:53.the input of Saskia Clark. Apple wind trying to make the boat go as

:08:54. > :08:56.fast as possible. Downwind I am focused on tactics, positioning,

:08:57. > :09:00.getting in the late place compared to the other boats to try and

:09:01. > :09:06.passports or stay ahead of them. Downwind I am speed of the boat. I

:09:07. > :09:16.have got the spinnaker. Up went I am the eyes of the boat. Trying to make

:09:17. > :09:23.a decision. And the important job of Bal asked on the wire. What does the

:09:24. > :09:33.next nine months in jail? Popping across the Atlantic to Rio most of

:09:34. > :09:37.the time? Yes. The more time we can spend in the venue the more we will

:09:38. > :09:43.learn the wind, how it moves alone the mountains, the tides, how they

:09:44. > :09:52.change, depending on rain. It is a complex one of the trickiest we have

:09:53. > :09:57.ever sealed at. Really important. Just so we can

:09:58. > :10:01.keep refining our skills and keep an eye on our competitors and how they

:10:02. > :10:07.might change things and if they come up with anything that we might need

:10:08. > :10:10.to have a look at. When you are the country's leading hope for a gold

:10:11. > :10:17.medal you have got to have complete faith in your partner. How would the

:10:18. > :10:30.girls displayed each other? A lively, intelligent bundle of fun.

:10:31. > :10:35.Great fun. Very inspirational. And very kind and caring person.

:10:36. > :10:38.What's going on with Welsh regional rugby?

:10:39. > :10:46.The player drain is slowing down - in fact stars are coming home.

:10:47. > :10:56.A question for Gareth Rhys Owen - have things really changed?

:10:57. > :11:05.Leigh Halfpenny is the latest rugby star to leave.

:11:06. > :11:12.When it came to Welsh rugby did you ever get a sense of deja vu?

:11:13. > :11:21.Jonathan Davies is to become the latest French player -- latest Welsh

:11:22. > :11:28.player to leave for France. Hang on. The Ospreys, the jargons

:11:29. > :11:32.and the Blues won on the opening weekend of the European season and

:11:33. > :11:36.despite losing the Scarlets got a decent away bonus point at

:11:37. > :11:43.Northampton. And it was announced this week that Jonathan Davies is

:11:44. > :11:52.coming back here. Has the tide turned? With out a doubt there is a

:11:53. > :11:59.good factor. The unions are talking to the regions. Tour to three

:12:00. > :12:06.seasons was bitter rivalry. It has been all change at the top of the

:12:07. > :12:11.pyramid. The new chief executive and chairman in the last 18 months. It

:12:12. > :12:17.may be premature to say the tide is turning. Things are on an even keel.

:12:18. > :12:23.It is trying to put the entire game into context and trying to ensure

:12:24. > :12:29.that everyone is pulling together. The weekend results in Europe were

:12:30. > :12:32.very pleasing. It has been a good start to Europe.

:12:33. > :12:36.Jonathan Davies is coming back on a dual contract. His wages will be

:12:37. > :12:41.sheared between the union and the region.

:12:42. > :12:46.It will possibly save Welsh rugby. It did feel that everyone was

:12:47. > :12:51.leaving. When players leave other players do not want to come in. The

:12:52. > :12:56.standard goes down. It was a bit of Wadi. It is a positive move. We are

:12:57. > :13:05.pleased that Jonathan is coming back. Players like that bring a lot

:13:06. > :13:07.of experience. They are good players. They help the players

:13:08. > :13:12.around them. It is fantastic. Lots of people have had a look to see if

:13:13. > :13:23.the Gas is cleaner but those players have to understand that in Wales we

:13:24. > :13:27.will look after them. Gareth Davies did initially suggest that contracts

:13:28. > :13:32.would be used to keep players and Wales Rather than bring them back.

:13:33. > :13:37.Things have moved on since then. Nothing is set in stone for error.

:13:38. > :13:41.If there are opportunities to bring the stars back, this star is set in

:13:42. > :13:47.stone for error. If there are opportunities to bring the stars

:13:48. > :13:53.back, the in which the union and region are trying to formulate

:13:54. > :14:03.plans. Let us be honest, if those players come back, all of our

:14:04. > :14:16.southern there is a good feel factor. The acids test. Would you

:14:17. > :14:20.stretch to bring those superstars? We have got to be fair to the other

:14:21. > :14:27.players. We do not want to much of an imbalance. There is a finite pot

:14:28. > :14:32.of money. As for this weekend the Blues lost against harlequins on

:14:33. > :14:38.Thursday. The other three face French teams. The ospreys are big

:14:39. > :14:52.underdogs. I do not think many expected us to come away with a

:14:53. > :14:57.victory. The Dragons do know how to win on the other side of the

:14:58. > :15:00.Channel. We are getting a lot of confidence and understanding of how

:15:01. > :15:08.to win the games in France from last year 's fixtures. As long as we can

:15:09. > :15:20.hit the target is the results will follow.

:15:21. > :15:25.It is unlikely the Welsh regions will be able to afford ?1 million

:15:26. > :15:27.salary but perhaps in the near future, they might get a little bit

:15:28. > :15:29.more competitive. Each year the best Asian footballers

:15:30. > :15:33.are honoured at a special awards do. The 2015 ceremony took place

:15:34. > :15:36.this week, and two Swansea City

:15:37. > :15:54.stars were among the nominees. The Swans defender whose mother is

:15:55. > :15:58.from eastern India won Player of the Year at the Asian football awards.

:15:59. > :16:08.One of his colleagues was nominated for Best Southeast Asian player. Ki

:16:09. > :16:14.Sung Yueng. He steps up and turns it on to put Swansea level. A man

:16:15. > :16:17.raised in a different continent in a different culture but one who

:16:18. > :16:26.idolise the familiar European stars. My first hero was Sudan. I was

:16:27. > :16:34.watching the World Cup and I started playing football. Zidane was the

:16:35. > :16:41.favourite player. The performance was incredible. I started to play

:16:42. > :16:47.like him. He was my first hero. And then four years later the World Cup

:16:48. > :16:53.came to South Korea and Japan. How much of an inspiration was that for

:16:54. > :17:00.a youngster like you? They were in the semifinal, South Korea. I didn't

:17:01. > :17:05.think we could make it. It was like a miracle. It was a big thing. That

:17:06. > :17:12.tournament, they should Asian football can achieve higher than

:17:13. > :17:22.what people expected. But still we have a lots of work to do compared

:17:23. > :17:28.to European football. Cardiff has got a few Korean restaurants, a big

:17:29. > :17:42.Korean community. Do you go in disguise as a Swansea player?

:17:43. > :17:50.I have a good relationship with them. URLs are married to a famous

:17:51. > :17:54.axis in South Korea. Some might compare you with being the South

:17:55. > :18:01.Korean David Beckham. It isn't like that. How do you and your wife share

:18:02. > :18:14.your time between South Korea and Swansea? She look them over in

:18:15. > :18:19.January. How have you reflected on your time in Swansea? That loan

:18:20. > :18:26.spell at Sunderland. How do you assess your time you? I am satisfied

:18:27. > :18:30.with what they have done in the club. Last season was the highest

:18:31. > :18:36.position on the table. I think we are improving ourselves. Just play

:18:37. > :18:42.good football. That is the most important thing for our team.

:18:43. > :18:51.It is back to business as usual. Swansea city and return to

:18:52. > :18:54.Bournemouth. Cardiff City travelled to Derby County. Newport County host

:18:55. > :18:55.Yeovil towns and Wrexham are way to Aldershot.

:18:56. > :18:58.As the top names in European golf wrap up

:18:59. > :19:00.their season in Dubai this weekend, one Welshman is preparing to make

:19:01. > :19:05.Back in 2010 Rhys Davies nearly made it into the Ryder Cup team

:19:06. > :19:07.but since then it's been a rocky road.

:19:08. > :19:16.He's hoping 2016 brings a smoother journey.

:19:17. > :19:23.He was a golfer with the world at his feet. Five years ago Rhys Davies

:19:24. > :19:28.was one of the European to its brightest prospects. Winning titles

:19:29. > :19:32.and making big money. But when his form that he tumbled down the

:19:33. > :19:38.rankings, losing his playing rights in 2012. It has been a long hard

:19:39. > :19:45.road back for him. There is no question I got extremely down at

:19:46. > :19:51.certain points. Golf wasn't fun. I couldn't perform all play as I would

:19:52. > :19:56.like. There is no question I was, at times, unhappy with it. But even

:19:57. > :20:01.when I was really at my worst moments they still felt I could come

:20:02. > :20:06.through it. But it was extremely tough at various moments, no

:20:07. > :20:11.question. Did you achieve too much too soon when you turned pro? I

:20:12. > :20:18.don't think so. At the time I felt I hadn't achieved enough. I felt there

:20:19. > :20:23.was a lots more. There were a few things that are evident in my game

:20:24. > :20:31.that I realised were not up to standard. If you imagine you are

:20:32. > :20:35.progressing right front junior golf to amateur golf, college golf into

:20:36. > :20:40.pro golf and everything is going up and then all of a sudden you hit a

:20:41. > :20:45.wall and you sort of say, crikey, I can't go any more. I almost felt I'd

:20:46. > :20:51.maxed out. I had to get over that wall. It would've been to say,

:20:52. > :20:56.stop, and except where you are and carry on at that level. But that is

:20:57. > :21:01.not really me, that is not how I am a dog. I had to find a way of

:21:02. > :21:07.getting over that wall. There was never a given moment? Never. It was

:21:08. > :21:12.extremely challenging and their worth very dark moments. The last

:21:13. > :21:18.three years has seen Rhys play on the challenge tour, a level beneath

:21:19. > :21:24.the elite stage. You have to graph out a living. He was supported by

:21:25. > :21:32.Deirdre, they got married, he put the wife Ann the bag and the new

:21:33. > :21:44.caddie's influence paid. We tried it at the start. The first event we

:21:45. > :21:48.tried we won. She did most of the tournaments. It is a bit

:21:49. > :21:55.intimidating but it is Zidane so it was fun. Which I to protest really

:21:56. > :22:02.professionally. But there were instances when it got intense and

:22:03. > :22:17.I'd make a joke or I'd say something inadvertently funny. There were...

:22:18. > :22:24.Making light of a few intensity patients. -- intense patches that up

:22:25. > :22:31.how hard it is going to be next year? It will be extremely tough.

:22:32. > :22:35.Those playing at the top 50 are playing exceptional stuff and the

:22:36. > :22:40.guys below it. I've got a progress may way through it. It will be

:22:41. > :22:48.harder both on the fact the standard has gone up again, I believe, in

:22:49. > :22:55.European golf but also I've got a brain a bit of baggage with me on

:22:56. > :23:01.the mental side. I played golf to win tournaments, I love to compete.

:23:02. > :23:04.I love to play down the stretch of a Sunday afternoon to take to win a

:23:05. > :23:07.tournament. That is what they strive for every time a play. To come out

:23:08. > :23:08.on top makes it all that much better.

:23:09. > :23:12.We've already heard about Joe Calzaghe's incredible career,

:23:13. > :23:19.Does he have any, does he wish he'd taken on any other

:23:20. > :23:26.fights, and what does he make of the current crop of Welsh boxers.

:23:27. > :23:36.I'd told a few of my mates today that there was interviewing you.

:23:37. > :23:40.Carl Froch coming back. Really? Is he retired? And not really

:23:41. > :23:45.interested. I always get bored with the Carl Froch question. He was

:23:46. > :23:49.always asking me out and not had a good word to say about me. I didn't

:23:50. > :23:54.have much to say about him. If we had fought, our paths would have

:23:55. > :23:59.crossed they would have been one outcome. They would have been

:24:00. > :24:06.stoppage or a one-sided fight. Nathan Cleverly had just a brutal

:24:07. > :24:12.fight in the States recently. He has impressed people more in defeat when

:24:13. > :24:15.he did in wins. It is bizarre. He lost the Kovalev which is no

:24:16. > :24:22.disgrace. He is one of the best pound by pound fighter. He fought

:24:23. > :24:29.the venue fight 34th outside his weight, he isn't a cruiserweight. He

:24:30. > :24:32.did himself very proud. He showed he had massive heart, lots of courage,

:24:33. > :24:38.massive respect for him of going 12 rounds with a broken nose. If he

:24:39. > :24:43.hadn't broken his nose he would've won fight. He should have used his

:24:44. > :24:48.boxing skills a bit more, standing in front of the guy, he could have

:24:49. > :24:54.won the fight. If there was a rematch he would win. While we're

:24:55. > :24:58.talking about your mates, Enzo Maccarinelli against the man U 40

:24:59. > :25:04.last fight against, Roy Jones Jr. That is a weird one but it intrigues

:25:05. > :25:12.me. Yes, what can I say? Enzo is a big puncher. Roy is getting on a bit

:25:13. > :25:17.but he still a good fighter. He should have retired a while back.

:25:18. > :25:26.I'm not sure what Roy Jones has got left in the it is an intriguing

:25:27. > :25:29.fight. Lee Selby brothers, they are coming through now. Lee's world

:25:30. > :25:34.champion and Andrew is just that thing. What you make of them? Lee

:25:35. > :25:38.Selby, I've been impressed with him. He struggled in the last fight.

:25:39. > :25:44.Going to America is difficult, it is a tough division. He's got some of

:25:45. > :25:48.champions in its weight division. He should take it gradually. I'm

:25:49. > :25:52.impressed with him. He dug deep last time for them he didn't fight his

:25:53. > :25:56.best, he struggled. But will struggle at times. But a win is a

:25:57. > :26:01.winner that all that matters. Who do like watching these days? Is there

:26:02. > :26:06.one fighter where you go, I've got a watching? I find boxing quite

:26:07. > :26:17.boring. I do is go on YouTube and watch myself! Joking! Noel! I like

:26:18. > :26:27.watching... Seriously? Do you do that? I watch the DVDs. I like

:26:28. > :26:35.watching Mayweather, Pat Keogh. I'm really impressed with some others.

:26:36. > :26:39.Some good fighters out there. Thank you for your time, it is nice to

:26:40. > :26:48.have you in house. It is nice to do this. Lovely to see you. When is the

:26:49. > :26:50.film out? It is on general release on the 23rd of November. I hope you

:26:51. > :26:51.enjoy it. Tonight we end by reflecting

:26:52. > :26:54.on the tragic news this week of the sudden passing of All Black

:26:55. > :26:58.legend, Jonah Lomu. Tributes have been pouring in

:26:59. > :27:02.for the first true global superstar of rugby union,

:27:03. > :27:06.a man who transcended the sport. While we all remember Jonah

:27:07. > :27:23.the player, for Kingsley Jones They welcome the Welsh gave me every

:27:24. > :27:29.time a come here is phenomenal. For myself, I call it a home away from
