:00:11. > :00:27.Mousa Dembele turns away from Senderos! 44 Dembele. A football

:00:28. > :00:42.then and they get one back. Scott Sinclair might just have tied

:00:43. > :00:51.up all three points for Celtic. It is a second yellow card for Philippe

:00:52. > :01:01.Senderos. Great ball in four Dembele and it is an Old Firm hat-trick for

:01:02. > :01:08.Mousa Dembele. Armstrong! It is the famous five for Celtic on Old Firm

:01:09. > :01:12.day. Very happy New Year to you. The last league meeting between Celtic

:01:13. > :01:16.and Rangers was memorable but how would this weekend's instalment of

:01:17. > :01:18.the Old Firm derby play out? We will find out tonight in our feast of

:01:19. > :01:27.Premiership derby action. -- Michael Stewart and Scott

:01:28. > :01:31.McDonald will provide the inside. The Old Firm match loomed largest of

:01:32. > :01:34.all this weekend. Celtic were miles out in front at the top of the

:01:35. > :01:37.Premiership. Commentary from Liam McLeod.

:01:38. > :01:44.COMMENTATOR: The big news for Rangers is the lack of Captain Lee

:01:45. > :01:50.Wallace. Mark Warburton go with the same team that drew with St.

:01:51. > :01:55.Johnstone. Miller has scored nine in this fixture while playing for both

:01:56. > :01:58.clubs. The man who scored the first Celtic league hat-trick against

:01:59. > :02:03.Rangers in 50 years is back in, Mousa Dembele is preferred to Leigh

:02:04. > :02:09.Griffiths. Callum McGregor is also in the team at the champion aim to

:02:10. > :02:13.move a sensational 19 points clear of their rivals. Before we get under

:02:14. > :02:19.way there will be a minutes silence for the 66 supporters who lost their

:02:20. > :02:23.lives here on the 2nd of January 19 71. The Ibrox disaster and those who

:02:24. > :02:40.did not come home that night is remembered 46 years on.

:02:41. > :02:50.A big afternoon for Kelly Miller -- Kenny Miller and company who

:02:51. > :02:56.particularly relishes this fixture. The first league meeting at Ibrox

:02:57. > :03:10.between these two since March 20 12. Rangers won that 13-2. -- 3-2. Only

:03:11. > :03:18.Wallace Brown and Izaguirre remain from that day. Jason Hogg with a

:03:19. > :03:30.sign of goal in the opening minute, a positive start from the kick-off

:03:31. > :03:39.-- Jason Holt. The first taste of Ibrox for Brendan Rodgers.

:03:40. > :03:48.Some way for these two clubs to end the calendar year. Sviatchenko has

:03:49. > :03:58.gifted that straight to Miller. Tavernier, Rangers have a man down

:03:59. > :04:10.but play on. And Miller is there! As he always is against Celtic! Ranges

:04:11. > :04:15.are leading the derby. Sviatchenko sold the jerseys and Kenny Miller

:04:16. > :04:26.was at the back post to pick them up. It is Kenny Miller's tenth goal

:04:27. > :04:37.in this fixture, nine of them for Rangers. The ball from Josh Windass

:04:38. > :04:45.was perfect for Tavernier and Kenny Miller, who has just turned 37,

:04:46. > :04:54.scores again against Celtic. The face says it all. But a real problem

:04:55. > :04:58.for Joe Garner. He will be put on a stretcher after this innocuous

:04:59. > :05:05.looking challenge with Erik Sviatchenko in the build-up to the

:05:06. > :05:12.goal. He will have to be replaced here by Martyn Waghorn by the looks

:05:13. > :05:16.of things. He had only scored three times for Rangers but the supporters

:05:17. > :05:18.have taken him to their hearts. It will be Martyn Waghorn on earlier

:05:19. > :05:37.than expected. Holt. Windass has got it through to

:05:38. > :05:47.Tavernier and a big chance. Gordon got there first. It could so easily

:05:48. > :05:59.have been 2-0 had the ball been better. Meanwhile, Sinclair, is he

:06:00. > :06:03.onside? No, he is not. Scott Sinclair, that was so tight the many

:06:04. > :06:09.might have been on. Not the best angle. What a ball that was from

:06:10. > :06:15.Windass. Tavernier was on the slide and that allowed Gordon to just get

:06:16. > :06:26.in there before Waghorn could get a proper sniff. Armstrong, that is an

:06:27. > :06:31.up and under and Sinclair might be on but he could not get it under

:06:32. > :06:42.control. He still has it. He is unlucky! So unlucky. As close as

:06:43. > :06:47.Celtic have come. Both he and Dembele were on and this is as close

:06:48. > :06:58.as the champions have come in this game. It is the width of the post

:06:59. > :07:01.away from being 1-1. Still pressure on this Rangers defence. Sinclair

:07:02. > :07:22.takes. Dembele! 1-1! Rangers' arch nemesis does it again.

:07:23. > :07:31.A thundering finish from Mousa Dembele. Who justifies his manager's

:07:32. > :07:42.decision to play him from the start. What a good take wider Frenchmen and

:07:43. > :07:47.he lashed that past Foderingham. And despite being perhaps second-best

:07:48. > :08:02.for much of this first half, Celtic draw level in spectacular fashion.

:08:03. > :08:12.Look who is there again. Was he caught late by Kenny Miller? Celtic

:08:13. > :08:14.play on in any case and this is Dembele with Sinclair in the

:08:15. > :08:32.support. He couldn't make his mind up. Scott Sinclair. Forrest,

:08:33. > :08:36.Dembele. Oh dear. That should be 2-1 Celtic and Moussa Dembele knows it.

:08:37. > :09:00.A huge chance. Scott Sinclair, heavily involved.

:09:01. > :09:15.Armstrong, it has come through to Forrest. Blocked by Foderingham.

:09:16. > :09:18.Goalkick. This was not an easy chance for James Forrest, not easy

:09:19. > :09:21.to beat Wes Foderingham with the ball on his left foot. The

:09:22. > :09:34.goalkeeper had made himself big. Celtic have begun this second half

:09:35. > :09:42.like they mean business. An overlap from McGregor. It has dogged into a

:09:43. > :09:51.fine area and Sinclair on the follow-up -- it has gone into.

:09:52. > :09:59.Dembele thought he had scored again. He has done so well. He is

:10:00. > :10:00.unfortunate that he has not reaped a bigger reward. It was a clever

:10:01. > :10:13.effort. Here comes the ball from Tavernier

:10:14. > :10:21.which is not bad and Gordon saves from Wilson. Rangers have not really

:10:22. > :10:27.troubled Celtic in this second half but Danny Wilson with a flying

:10:28. > :10:28.header which was saved by Craig Gordon. Unorthodox but it does the

:10:29. > :10:50.job. Now Roberts gets a first feel of the

:10:51. > :11:00.ball since coming on. That is a lovely reverse as well and it is

:11:01. > :11:08.Armstrong and Sinclair! They always find a way to win. And that might

:11:09. > :11:13.just do it for Celtic here. A very similar goal to the one that gave

:11:14. > :11:20.Rangers the lead in the first half and Celtic have come up with an

:11:21. > :11:29.answer yet again. Scott Sinclair's 12th goal of the season.

:11:30. > :11:36.Where every Celtic player wants to score. At Ibrox it is Rangers 1-2

:11:37. > :11:55.Celtic. Dembele, Roberts, an option here and

:11:56. > :11:59.it is Armstrong! He didn't catch it as he would have liked. That would

:12:00. > :12:04.have sealed the points, you would imagine. Roberts has made a

:12:05. > :12:23.sprightly impact since coming on. Away by Wilson. Collected by McKay.

:12:24. > :12:32.It is with Halladay, Miller is in the middle and he is there again!

:12:33. > :12:36.But he cannot convert. Kenny Miller holds his head. Should he have

:12:37. > :12:40.scored? The ball in from Halladay was perfect and he misses a golden

:12:41. > :12:57.opportunity -- Andy Halliday. Nice play by McGregor, Sinclair. On

:12:58. > :13:08.he goes. Pulls it back for Armstrong! Another chance. He got

:13:09. > :13:15.the fifth in September and was looking to put the icing on the cake

:13:16. > :13:22.for the second time. It came off Wilson. You get the sense that

:13:23. > :13:25.Celtic have another goal in them. Only the record-breaking new Saints

:13:26. > :13:31.of Wales at a better winning return at the moment than Celtic. They have

:13:32. > :13:37.just beating Ajax's record from the 70s. Pondering saves again from

:13:38. > :13:46.Armstrong. Sinclair following up. -- Foderingham. He went for the far

:13:47. > :13:52.corner. He has made a few saves now, Wes Foderingham and he is keeping

:13:53. > :14:02.Rangers hearts beating also this is Harry Forrester. Good defending by

:14:03. > :14:05.Sviatchenko. Stuart Armstrong has had another fine afternoon and he

:14:06. > :14:11.was heavily involved as Celtic tried to put it to bed. No Celtic manager

:14:12. > :14:18.has ever won the first three Old Firm derbies. McGrory, steam,

:14:19. > :14:27.O'Neil, McNeill, none of them managed it -- Stein. The best of

:14:28. > :14:31.enemies and Celtic had beaten their rivals again and they are 19 points

:14:32. > :14:37.clear at the top of the table with a 15th straight victory.

:14:38. > :14:42.A great game, fantastic entertainment. Brendan Rodgers said

:14:43. > :14:50.it was a brilliant result and thoroughly deserved. Does that sum

:14:51. > :14:52.it up? I think so on the balance, especially second half, Celtic

:14:53. > :14:58.dominated. It was a fantastic game for the great chances at both ends.

:14:59. > :15:05.Sinclair and Armstrong were key men for Celtic. Overall, you couldn't

:15:06. > :15:08.argue that they deserved it. These games in terms of entertainment

:15:09. > :15:13.don't always live up to the hype but it was an entertaining match. For

:15:14. > :15:18.Rangers, a good start, did they exceed expectations on the day? I

:15:19. > :15:24.don't think so much exceed but they had the change because of Lee

:15:25. > :15:28.Wallace being missing which meant they had two strikers up against the

:15:29. > :15:34.Celtic centre halves. Sviatchenko was under pressure and did not do

:15:35. > :15:37.the best. You want Tavernier in that area, exploiting the weakness of

:15:38. > :15:43.Izaguirre and it was a wonderful goal. It meant that you had the

:15:44. > :15:48.Rangers players in the wider areas Kjaer up the park, forcing Celtic

:15:49. > :15:52.back and they looked vulnerable -- higher up the park. The first half

:15:53. > :15:57.hour, Celtic were on the back foot and struggling for a moment. This

:15:58. > :16:02.was a wonderful pass from Windass, Tavernier once it behind Izaguirre

:16:03. > :16:06.again and he was ball watching. You thought he could have taken a touch

:16:07. > :16:12.rather than taking it first time. Celtic were rocking at that stage.

:16:13. > :16:17.Credits to Rangers, they change the formation, whether through design or

:16:18. > :16:22.necessity, but it definitely worked. Mark Warburton has been accused of

:16:23. > :16:25.being a bit of a one trick pony but he showed, with that injury

:16:26. > :16:29.committee changed it and it worked early on. We have spoken about the

:16:30. > :16:34.Rangers defending this season. In terms of the Dembele goal, issues

:16:35. > :16:40.again. And this was after 34 minutes and you can seek any Wilson loses

:16:41. > :16:45.him but he get in position to get back to him -- you can see Danny

:16:46. > :16:49.Wilson loses him. It is criminal defending. The first bit where he

:16:50. > :16:53.gets pushed off you can almost accept. But he gets back into an

:16:54. > :17:00.area where he can cover Dembele but he runs under the ball and misjudges

:17:01. > :17:03.it. Rangers had the upper hand and goals change games. If they could

:17:04. > :17:07.have seen it out until half-time, the dynamics could be different but

:17:08. > :17:10.as soon as Celtic get a sniff of blood and get back into it, that was

:17:11. > :17:18.the turning point. It was a great strike then barely that Vaka from

:17:19. > :17:23.Dembele as well. We debated if Griffiths would start. -- a great

:17:24. > :17:28.strike from Dembele. What sort price tag would you put on him? He is a

:17:29. > :17:36.big game player, he has scored goals in these big occasions and he did so

:17:37. > :17:43.again. Price tag? 10,000,000th of 15 million, 20 million. How much would

:17:44. > :17:46.you pay? I don't need you could put a price tag on him at the moment he

:17:47. > :17:50.is still developing. If he continues in this vein of form and Brendan

:17:51. > :17:57.Rodgers can continue improving him, I think you are talking above 15. At

:17:58. > :18:02.this stage the figure is almost arbitrary because Celtic do not need

:18:03. > :18:07.to sell. I think in January it would have to be something ridiculous for

:18:08. > :18:12.them to even think about it. Brendan Rodgers talked about his players

:18:13. > :18:18.staying calm if they went behind and they did and their class told in the

:18:19. > :18:24.end. As I said, goals change games but Celtic started to sense where

:18:25. > :18:26.they would get some joy. The middle three of Scott Brown, Callum

:18:27. > :18:30.McGregor and Stuart Armstrong started to build into the game and

:18:31. > :18:37.we have piloted Tavernier here. He is pointing and he knows Sinclair is

:18:38. > :18:42.behind him -- highlighted Tavernier. Armstrong is running through.

:18:43. > :18:46.Kiernan and Tavernier do not speak to each other, they both know

:18:47. > :18:50.Sinclair is at the back post and nobody picks them up. Kiernan is

:18:51. > :18:56.going mental at Tavernier, he should have been talking to him before

:18:57. > :19:01.that. It was indeed wide areas that Celtic started to punish Rangers

:19:02. > :19:06.later in the game. Armstrong again, look at that space. They started to

:19:07. > :19:10.stretch the Rangers back three and create space in the middle for the

:19:11. > :19:14.likes of Armstrong who became pivotal. Energy all over the park,

:19:15. > :19:17.driving into areas and picking holes in the defence because they'd

:19:18. > :19:24.stretch them out wide. Credit to Celtic. They recognised where they

:19:25. > :19:28.could hurt Rangers and it was a top performance in the end. Celtic now

:19:29. > :19:33.19 points clear at the top of the table. To the Highlands now and the

:19:34. > :19:39.derby match between Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. County

:19:40. > :19:41.had a dismal recent record at home against their neighbours, five

:19:42. > :19:45.consecutive defeats. Would that change?

:19:46. > :19:55.COMMENTATOR: Jim McIntyre makes two changes to the county team, Kenny

:19:56. > :20:01.van der Weg and Ryan Dow come in. Bottom of the league Inverness Caley

:20:02. > :20:09.Thistle hope the derby can spark a revival. They are playing Aaron

:20:10. > :20:13.Doran instead of Liam Polworth. Larnell Cole against Alex Schalk who

:20:14. > :20:26.comes out on top. The shot is deflected behind. A big date for

:20:27. > :20:32.Richie Foran and Inverness. That is Davies and Kenny van der Weg and

:20:33. > :20:42.Liam Boyce! And it is a dream start for Ross County on derby day. It is

:20:43. > :20:52.a 12th goal of the campaign for Liam Boyce and he has six in eight. Ross

:20:53. > :21:03.County are ahead inside two minutes. Here is Kenny van der Weg. Looking

:21:04. > :21:08.to build on a great start. Kenny van der Weg with the great ball in. That

:21:09. > :21:21.was for his fellow countryman, Alex Schalk. The last touch was off Josh

:21:22. > :21:29.Meekings. Lonsana Doumbouya. He slipped. Free kick given. Woods and

:21:30. > :21:38.Chow in with the challenge. The free kick from Tansey and there is Warren

:21:39. > :21:44.and Carl Tremarco! 1-1! He is the full-back who can't stop scoring.

:21:45. > :21:47.Six this season for Carl Tremarco. A terrific diving header and the derby

:21:48. > :22:06.is back to all square. Routis and words with the shot. A

:22:07. > :22:11.good effort on target -- Martin Woods. Owain Fon Williams made the

:22:12. > :22:21.save. Routis on the set piece, the header away by Doumbouya. Martin

:22:22. > :22:27.Woods again. That was a rasping strike on the half volley. In by

:22:28. > :22:36.Liam Boyce and it has gone all the way! Courtesy of a deflection, I'm

:22:37. > :22:43.pretty sure, off Josh Meekings. Liam Boyce will happily try to claim this

:22:44. > :22:47.but it is the glancing header from Josh Meekings which took it away

:22:48. > :22:56.from Owain Fon Williams and it is 2-1 to Ross County. Martin Woods

:22:57. > :23:04.probing and it is beyond Warren. In from Alex Schalk, missed by Warren

:23:05. > :23:08.and Liam Boyce slashes that wide. It might just have been a chance, even

:23:09. > :23:16.at this early stage, to tie up all three points. Warren Buzz Mike

:23:17. > :23:24.Person, the lay-off from Iain Vigurs, lured slips and this is

:23:25. > :23:33.Larnell Cole. He was always going to struggle to squeeze it past Scott

:23:34. > :23:38.Fox at the near post. Andrew Davies, the Ross County captain. The header

:23:39. > :23:48.from Draper and this is Tansey who loses out to Routis and this is

:23:49. > :23:54.Martin Woods and 3-1! 61 minutes played and a two goal advantage for

:23:55. > :23:58.the Dingwall team in the derby. And for Martin Woods, his first goal of

:23:59. > :24:16.the season. A neat touch and suddenly King is

:24:17. > :24:23.in. Fox spilled it and Alex Fisher gives late hope to Inverness:

:24:24. > :24:31.Thistle. 81 minutes and it is 3-2. Fox should have done better. Fisher

:24:32. > :24:41.snaps up the chance. Boyce gets away from Warren. Routis in the middle.

:24:42. > :24:45.Around the outside was Ryan Dow. And the cross almost sneaked in under

:24:46. > :24:57.the crossbar. Owain Fon Williams reaching up to tip it over. Tansey

:24:58. > :25:03.for Aaron Doran. Good effort! And a good stop by Scott Fox. They are

:25:04. > :25:04.giving everything to get something from the game, Inverness, but it

:25:05. > :25:13.stayed at 3-2. Obviously delighted, we are pleased

:25:14. > :25:16.to get the monkey off our back, not beaten them at home since we arrived

:25:17. > :25:20.but I'm delighted for the players, they put in a fabulous effort in a

:25:21. > :25:24.keenly contested derby. They had a lot of the game as well but I think

:25:25. > :25:29.our chances were better than theirs and we deserved to win. I'm letting

:25:30. > :25:34.the supporters down and the board and the chairman at the moment. I

:25:35. > :25:38.feel it, but that will change, we will get better and I will get

:25:39. > :25:42.better and my team will get better in 2017 with a little bit of help

:25:43. > :25:47.from two or three players coming in. Not a good start to the year for

:25:48. > :25:52.Inverness but a great match for Ross County with Liam Boyce very much to

:25:53. > :25:56.the fore. Motherwell beat Inverness midweek, a great victory for you. In

:25:57. > :26:01.terms of your appraisal of Inverness right now, bottom of the table and

:26:02. > :26:07.losing to their rivals, how do you suck it up? I think they are just

:26:08. > :26:11.low on confidence. -- sum it up. They are lost on their ideas in

:26:12. > :26:14.terms of how they want to play. They have some very talented footballers

:26:15. > :26:19.but it is trying to get it all together. And as Richie Foran is

:26:20. > :26:23.trying to do. I think the break has come at a good time for them to

:26:24. > :26:28.regroup and address a couple of things and come back fresh and

:26:29. > :26:31.stronger afterwards. Richie Foran was saying that he feels he is

:26:32. > :26:37.letting down the fans at the moment. We spoke about Rangers' defensive

:26:38. > :26:42.deficiencies, there were plenty here. This was a horrible goal to

:26:43. > :26:49.lose. Andrew Davies as a free header first of all, and then Van der Weg

:26:50. > :26:53.flicks it back over and Mark and Liam Boyce put it in. Acres of space

:26:54. > :26:57.for both players to get on the ball and eventually Liam Boyce put it

:26:58. > :27:02.over the line. It is a terrible goal. And two minutes in, not a

:27:03. > :27:04.great start. But Inverness showed good character to get back into it.

:27:05. > :27:19.Chris DiMarco, -- We have been debating this, I think

:27:20. > :27:22.this does take a significant touch off Josh Meekings. You can't take

:27:23. > :27:29.that away from him! I won't because I would want it! I would be more

:27:30. > :27:33.than happy to. Maybe you think he could catch you in the goal-scoring

:27:34. > :27:39.stakes! We will see. Great for Ross County to finish the year in the top

:27:40. > :27:42.six. Considering where they were earlier in the season when it looks

:27:43. > :27:46.to be a struggle, they have done it around. A lot of draws and some

:27:47. > :27:51.inconsistency but it also shows you how tight it is from sixth down to

:27:52. > :27:54.12th. Not a great deal between those teams and they will take a lot

:27:55. > :27:58.points off each other. They will be happy to be at the top and of that

:27:59. > :28:03.at the moment. Dundee may have enjoyed a tricky start to the season

:28:04. > :28:07.but they have gone four matches unbeaten at home as St. Johnstone

:28:08. > :28:12.came calling. The Saint form is generally decent on the road.

:28:13. > :28:22.COMMENTATOR: Dundee make two changes, Mark O'Hara and Faissal El

:28:23. > :28:27.Bakhtaoui come in, he starts for the first time since the teams last met.

:28:28. > :28:33.For Saint Dunstan, three changes to the team that drew with Rangers. In,

:28:34. > :28:42.Murray Davidson, Danny Swanson and Liam Craig. -- in come.

:28:43. > :28:57.McGowan has stolen a march. That is El Bakhtaoui! Welcome back to the

:28:58. > :29:05.top team! It is his first start in 11 games and he rewards Paul Hartley

:29:06. > :29:10.with the opening goal. Brian Easton could not cut out the cross and it

:29:11. > :29:15.was clinically finished. Swanson, trying to move away from Cameron

:29:16. > :29:21.Kerr and he was caught and that will be a yellow card. Swanson used his

:29:22. > :29:31.pace to get away and sets up the free kick. Craig, but it is Blair

:29:32. > :29:37.Alston who takes it. Scott Bain was beaten as it came off the bar. Great

:29:38. > :29:57.effort the keeper was lost then. Craig Forsyth corner. This mass

:29:58. > :30:08.grave in foster. Is this a victory for visits.

:30:09. > :30:30.A gallon of his back on. Crafers issues. What a foolish.

:30:31. > :30:42.The terrific wife and fulfil something of an airhead, and fun

:30:43. > :31:18.half five. In an effort and if you are in

:31:19. > :31:33.They are trying to find a way back into the game. It came of Davidson.

:31:34. > :31:40.Safety first. Dundee, ten points from the last 12 at home. A great

:31:41. > :31:43.comeback against Hearts. St. Johnstone try to bring it away and

:31:44. > :31:50.that is great work from Mark O'Hara. Hateley is available forcibly will

:31:51. > :31:56.cut across and it is a third goal for St. Johnstone! The final cuts

:31:57. > :32:02.came from the defender, Steven Anderson with the own goal -- final

:32:03. > :32:09.touch. For the first time in eight years, Dundee have three goals

:32:10. > :32:15.against St Johnstone. O'Hara played onto Tom Hateley and Steven Anderson

:32:16. > :32:23.was the unlucky player. Inside to Danny Swanson. Pushed away well by

:32:24. > :32:25.Scott Bain. Swanson has a couple of goals and was looking to add to

:32:26. > :32:36.them. El Bakhtaoui who got the scoring

:32:37. > :32:47.started and he fancies another one. Zander Klug guarding his goal. A

:32:48. > :32:51.good one-handed stop -- Clark. That was just a little long and that has

:32:52. > :32:55.been the story of the match from St. Johnstone, just not executing in the

:32:56. > :33:03.final third and that will disappoint Tommy Wright. McGowan! Terrific

:33:04. > :33:05.effort from Dundee and Paul McGowan who came off the bench to score

:33:06. > :33:14.against Hearts and he It has been a tough start, not easy

:33:15. > :33:18.but with our home form in the last five games we have 13 points from 15

:33:19. > :33:23.and we want to continue that. Extremely disappointed to lose a

:33:24. > :33:28.derby game 3-0 but I will not take anything away from what I think the

:33:29. > :33:34.players have achieved this year. This club and many clubs with much

:33:35. > :33:38.more resources than us, that we continually do better than a lot of

:33:39. > :33:43.clubs. A fantastic victory for Dundee, is that a surprise? A little

:33:44. > :33:46.bit. St. Johnstone have been going well but maybe the exertions of the

:33:47. > :33:49.game against Rangers before that took its toll. But an excellent

:33:50. > :33:57.result for Dundee and the performance as well. We can see, in

:33:58. > :34:03.terms of Marcus Haber in the team, they have direction and he is

:34:04. > :34:06.helping. And you have been a big fan of El Bakhtaoui. He has not quite

:34:07. > :34:10.hit the heights this season but took his goal well and the attacking

:34:11. > :34:14.combination is looking good. It has been a slow burner in the front

:34:15. > :34:21.third. It has been difficult for Dundee. You heard Paul Hartley

:34:22. > :34:25.saying that, but you can see this, it is good movement, stretching the

:34:26. > :34:29.St. Johnstone back line and it is a wonderful finish. St. Johnstone are

:34:30. > :34:36.a difficult side to break down. We are not sure if that is a chest or a

:34:37. > :34:40.handball. He is a big guy. This was a wonderful strike from El

:34:41. > :34:48.Bakhtaoui. He has struggled, but I think he has enough quality to be a

:34:49. > :34:53.success at Dundee. People are willing to run forward. So many

:34:54. > :34:59.players these days, they want everything to feet. You need players

:35:00. > :35:04.who can run in behind and stretch them. It has been a slow burner for

:35:05. > :35:09.Dundee, but you ask if it was a surprise result and I think you

:35:10. > :35:13.might say yes but when you hear that they have won four and drawn one of

:35:14. > :35:17.their last five home games, it shows you they have started to turn the

:35:18. > :35:20.corner. Add another we did not mention is O'Hara who has come back

:35:21. > :35:24.in. He had a great start to the season and got injured but he is

:35:25. > :35:29.back and Paul Hartley will be happy about that. And the big game on

:35:30. > :35:33.Friday night at Tynecastle, Hearts against Aberdeen with Hearts looking

:35:34. > :35:36.for more traction under new head coach Ian Cathro and Aberdeen

:35:37. > :35:40.looking to keep the pressure on Rangers.

:35:41. > :35:48.You have a vastly self the year is an official receiver loose-leaf and

:35:49. > :36:11.5- and have reserves from Ian Cathro was delighted to get the

:36:12. > :36:17.first victory on Tuesday but they are under the cosh and Reynolds

:36:18. > :36:25.flashes that passed. He will feel he should put Aberdeen in front.

:36:26. > :36:31.Terrific corner by Niall McGinn. Two wins in a decade against Hearts at

:36:32. > :36:41.Tynecastle for Aberdeen, it is not their favourite fixture. That draws

:36:42. > :36:48.a decent save from Jack Hamilton. Hearts have sat off Aberdeen who

:36:49. > :36:54.have started promisingly. Kenny McLean testing the Hearts number

:36:55. > :37:00.one. Hearts desperate to find the form that saw them sweep Rangers

:37:01. > :37:06.away at the end of November. That was Robbie Neilson's final game in

:37:07. > :37:12.charge. That is McGinn. Hamilton is there again. Aberdeen annoyed they

:37:13. > :37:20.have not hit the front yet. They came close there.

:37:21. > :37:33.Shinnie. He is going to have a go here! And Rooney on the follow-up.

:37:34. > :37:36.He is normally so deadly on the rebound but Graeme Shinnie is

:37:37. > :37:43.holding his head in his hands, that would have been quite some goal. Not

:37:44. > :37:46.sure what happened with Adam Rooney. He scored against Hamilton on

:37:47. > :37:56.Tuesday. He could not convert this time.

:37:57. > :38:08.Beautifully done, lovely pass by Kenny Maclean and this is McGinn and

:38:09. > :38:15.that is Jonny Hayes! And that is 1-0 Aberdeen! And finally the Dons make

:38:16. > :38:26.the breakthrough. They more than deserve it, that is for sure. 1500

:38:27. > :38:31.or so Aberdeen supporters are in raptures, as well they might be. He

:38:32. > :38:39.must've been wondering if it is to come, Derek McInnes. -- if it was

:38:40. > :38:40.going to come. That free kick from Cowie is dreadful, not like him at

:38:41. > :39:02.all. Ash Taylor and Jonny Hayes are

:39:03. > :39:07.there, frustration spilling over. In the week Rob Kiernan has been given

:39:08. > :39:14.a two-game ban for getting involved in Perth, Igor Rossi with a little

:39:15. > :39:31.punch out at Ash Taylor. Carrie. -- Cowie. That is better,

:39:32. > :39:38.this is Walker, desperate for space to shoot and he finds it. Joe Lewis

:39:39. > :39:43.says at the near post. Ten goals this season for Jamie Walker. That

:39:44. > :39:49.was his first sight of goal really. Aberdeen almost over the line.

:39:50. > :40:00.Cleared by O'Connor. This is John Souttar. Kitchen. Still it is alive

:40:01. > :40:08.for Hearts. That came of Reynolds and Walker! Don Cowie could not

:40:09. > :40:11.knock it past Joe Lewis. And that is the last action. Aberdeen end 2016

:40:12. > :40:22.on a high but what a low for Hearts. I think initially we probably lost

:40:23. > :40:28.the fight to make the game the way we wanted it to be. It was difficult

:40:29. > :40:33.for us to get started. And the game became closer to what they wanted

:40:34. > :40:36.than what we wanted. No doubt in my mind that we were the better team, I

:40:37. > :40:41.thought we were very accomplished and tidy for most of it and made

:40:42. > :40:48.good decisions about when to play and when to help things on and

:40:49. > :40:52.recognised their strengths. Perhaps not the greatest spectacle but a big

:40:53. > :40:58.win for Aberdeen. A lot of criticism for Hearts after that match and Ian

:40:59. > :41:02.Castro in terms of his plan and the execution. What was your assessment?

:41:03. > :41:07.Ian Castro said it didn't go the way he planned. I can't imagine you

:41:08. > :41:13.would want this. Five men in midfield who are so narrow. You have

:41:14. > :41:18.to exploit the width at Tynecastle. It allows Aberdeen to get in their

:41:19. > :41:23.faces. Watch what Aberdeen do when they win the ball. Two of three

:41:24. > :41:29.touches and out wide. Out to the danger men. One against one with the

:41:30. > :41:34.full-backs. Hearts had no width. Look at the space for Niall McGinn.

:41:35. > :41:41.You don't want somebody like that with 20 yards of space. The

:41:42. > :41:46.full-back is asking for support. It's not the way you want the game

:41:47. > :41:51.to be set up. Tynecastle is so narrow, you want the maximum width

:41:52. > :41:56.and that's what Aberdeen did. In the first half there were so many

:41:57. > :42:01.chances from the wide areas. Hearts couldn't compete. Two against one in

:42:02. > :42:05.the wide area and Hearts have nobody there. Novak was sitting, Perry

:42:06. > :42:12.Church just in front and then Cowie as well. Novak again, second half.

:42:13. > :42:18.They'd gone to a back three at times when Nowak was in the back line. On

:42:19. > :42:24.this occasion he's in front of those players. It allows your full-back to

:42:25. > :42:28.push up the park. This was a set play for Hearts, but Nowak has to

:42:29. > :42:32.realise he's the safety valve. He's got to block anything off in the

:42:33. > :42:38.wide areas. You can't commit like that. As soon as you do, Hearts are

:42:39. > :42:43.in trouble. But they have enough bodies back. Souter and Smith both

:42:44. > :42:48.run to the front post. But you have to give Aberdeen credit because they

:42:49. > :42:53.recognised where they could get at Hearts and they did that with

:42:54. > :43:03.maximum efficiency. Aberdeen, back to basics in terms of team selection

:43:04. > :43:06.and three wins in a row. They've gone with the tried and trusted

:43:07. > :43:09.after the last few games after a few patchy results. It's worked for

:43:10. > :43:14.them. You have to give the manager full credit. They've certainly

:43:15. > :43:18.performed for him. Derek McInnes has been accused of changing things up a

:43:19. > :43:23.lot and he's almost recognised it himself. Ryan Jack was out injured

:43:24. > :43:27.early in the season and they went on a good run. He's one of the

:43:28. > :43:31.mainstays. He was out of the team and they found a good shape. Madison

:43:32. > :43:38.came in and made an impact. When Jack came up -- back he tried to fit

:43:39. > :43:42.him back into the team. McGinn dropped out. They couldn't find the

:43:43. > :43:46.right balance. They've gone back to the team of last year and madison

:43:47. > :43:51.has suffered, but they've got the right shape. That's what you're

:43:52. > :43:56.looking for. If madison has to sit out, so be it. They've got the right

:43:57. > :44:01.balance at the moment. Hearts have now made contact with Niall McGinn

:44:02. > :44:05.about a possible deal. The Lanarkshire derby now. Motherwell

:44:06. > :44:10.looking for a third victory in a row against Hamilton Accies.

:44:11. > :44:14.Commentary from John Barnes. Hamilton make five changes with

:44:15. > :44:19.seaborne returning to the defence. So what and nutty come into the

:44:20. > :44:25.midfield D'Acol and brokers believe the attack. Jack McMillan comes in

:44:26. > :44:31.at left back for Motherwell. Alan Campbell makes his first start for

:44:32. > :44:35.Mark McGhee's men. After victory against Inverness, Motherwell

:44:36. > :44:41.looking 4-2 away league win Sidorova the first time this season. McDonald

:44:42. > :44:50.looking for 18-year-old Campbell. McDonald! Outstanding goalkeeping by

:44:51. > :44:58.Gary Woods to deny Scott McDonald the opener. Good delivery from

:44:59. > :45:08.Malta. Woods with the save. -- moult. Lucas with the free kick.

:45:09. > :45:12.Clay! Off the line by Mikey Devlin. He really played the captain is part

:45:13. > :45:19.there and Clay almost claiming his second goal in two games. Hamilton

:45:20. > :45:30.still on this run of no wins in ten. Lucas. A challenge with Don Marti.

:45:31. > :45:35.Referee has produced the red card for Lucas. He deemed that challenge

:45:36. > :45:48.violent conduct. The Motherwell midfielder is sent off. Donati.

:45:49. > :46:02.Crawford. Trying to cut it back. Gillespie's shot. Crawford! It won't

:46:03. > :46:13.count. The flag was up for offside. Kszczot spilled by Sampson. -- the

:46:14. > :46:21.shot. In towards D'Acol! Hamilton make the breakthrough. Alex D'Acol

:46:22. > :46:24.on the scoresheet for the sixth time this season. Good work by Crawford.

:46:25. > :46:35.D'Acol was in their ahead of Tait. Determination about Mark McGhee for

:46:36. > :46:43.his side to get back into this. Scott McDonald. Moult in the middle.

:46:44. > :46:49.It comes off seaborne. McDonald is claiming it came off his hand. He

:46:50. > :46:53.slid into that challenge and it's all kicking off. There was the

:46:54. > :47:02.handball incident that Motherwell were claiming four. Sampson. Long

:47:03. > :47:10.clearance. Scott McDonald towards Moult. Another great save by Gary

:47:11. > :47:21.Woods to prevent Moult tidying up this game. -- tidying up. Clay

:47:22. > :47:30.dispossessed by McKinnon. What can the Accies do here? Can they kill

:47:31. > :47:35.off the game? Crawford... Away by Stephen McManus. It just won't go

:47:36. > :47:41.for Ali Crawford. Seemed to be the sting of the shot taken off with the

:47:42. > :47:46.challenges. Into the final few minutes and Accies, are they on

:47:47. > :47:53.course for their first win in over two months? McDonald battling with

:47:54. > :47:57.Donati, who has gone to ground. Moult! Three minutes into stoppage

:47:58. > :48:02.time. Motherwell have claimed a point. That's what it means to the

:48:03. > :48:08.Motherwell supporters and their players. Accies were claiming for a

:48:09. > :48:13.foul, but a good delivery and there was Moult claiming his 11th goal of

:48:14. > :48:18.the season. There's a team there. I don't think we can do a lot

:48:19. > :48:21.different because we create a lot of opportunities. We gave them very

:48:22. > :48:26.little in the game. If you don't see it out, you don't win and that's a

:48:27. > :48:31.problem. We kept going, we could have lost another one but we could

:48:32. > :48:37.also have got an equaliser earlier. In the end, one of the guys in our

:48:38. > :48:42.team we want it felt too, to one, it fell to him and we buried it. Only

:48:43. > :48:48.25 seconds to go after that so it was a good time to score. That must

:48:49. > :48:56.have felt good going into the winter shutdown and the pictures say it

:48:57. > :49:03.all. Last kick of the game. What about the last 20 seconds? They just

:49:04. > :49:08.kicked off! Hamilton will be disappointed, we played with ten men

:49:09. > :49:13.from the 20th minute. No arguments with the red card. Even though I was

:49:14. > :49:17.trying to debate it in the replays. A great battling performance and to

:49:18. > :49:27.go into the break four points out of six we can be happy with. How is

:49:28. > :49:31.your eye? It was poked. It's fine. Mikey Devlin, good performance at

:49:32. > :49:38.the back for the Accies, although the struggling the moment. He's

:49:39. > :49:42.somebody that kept it tight. He filled in right across the back

:49:43. > :49:47.line. Whenever it seemed like Motherwell were going to get in and

:49:48. > :49:51.cause a problem, he was there to clear it up. You can see Scott

:49:52. > :49:57.McDonald getting around the back and he thought he would score. Even in

:49:58. > :50:03.the studio he thought he would score! On this one he gets dragged

:50:04. > :50:09.out and Massimo Donati is circled. Potentially Scott has given a foul!

:50:10. > :50:14.It leaves three against two in the middle. It's almost as if Hamilton

:50:15. > :50:22.are playing with ten men. Donati heads it back in. Is that a foul? A

:50:23. > :50:26.swan dive? It could have been given, but a lot to be done. The referee

:50:27. > :50:32.waved play on and you have to score and it was a great header in the

:50:33. > :50:36.end. On that occasion, it looks like Hamilton were down to ten. They

:50:37. > :50:40.looked stretched and they were outnumbered in the crucial area.

:50:41. > :50:44.After reaching the heady heights of the top six with victory over Ross

:50:45. > :50:50.County, good Partick Thistle keep it going against Kilmarnock?

:50:51. > :50:57.Partick Thistle looking for their third win on the trot. Liam Lindsay

:50:58. > :51:01.is injured and he is replaced by Steven Lawless. Kilmarnock still

:51:02. > :51:07.struggling with injuries. Income Hendry, walk sure and Bojaj. -- hawk

:51:08. > :51:25.shore. A lovely term. Lawless! Offside. The

:51:26. > :51:34.early celebrations from the home fans curtailed by the flag. Kris

:51:35. > :51:39.Doolan, on his 300th Partick Thistle appearance, denied a second minute

:51:40. > :51:43.goal. Terrific play from Erskine. McDonald couldn't hold it, but you

:51:44. > :51:49.can see Doolan was offside from the past. -- Passi.

:51:50. > :52:01.Long from Adam Barton. Dicker, April header. Ryan Edwards picks up.

:52:02. > :52:06.Doolan. McDonald holds it at the second attempt. Decent effort from

:52:07. > :52:13.Kris Doolan, who is looking lively. Gary Dicker not used to playing as a

:52:14. > :52:22.centre back. Almost presenting Thistle with the opportunity. Callum

:52:23. > :52:31.Booth into the feet of lawless. Turns neatly away from Stevie Smith.

:52:32. > :52:37.Christie Elliot in. Cleared away, but they might get a second chance.

:52:38. > :52:42.Claims that Elliott was fouled. Kevin Clancy lets play continued.

:52:43. > :52:50.Another lovely turn, Doolan... Erskine! Somehow the ball seemed to

:52:51. > :52:57.be deflected wide. It's a corner kick, but it should have been a

:52:58. > :53:04.goal. Really nice play from Stevie lawless, picking out Doolan.

:53:05. > :53:10.Couldn't get purchase on the shot and McDonald saved. Looks like Dick

:53:11. > :53:15.just managed to block that. -- Dicker. Erskine and lawless combine.

:53:16. > :53:22.They've both been at the heart of much of what's been good about

:53:23. > :53:28.Thistle. Lawless once more. Doolan. Lovely finish! The offside flag is

:53:29. > :53:43.up once more. Kris Doolan can't believe it. So tight. Almost nothing

:53:44. > :53:51.in that. Doolan with a really composed finish, but it's chalked

:53:52. > :53:56.off once more. Kilmarnock have been second best, but they've had their

:53:57. > :54:02.chances and that was another one for Bojaj. They don't come much better

:54:03. > :54:06.than that one. Coulibaly nodding a cross goal and Bojaj was on the

:54:07. > :54:12.stretch. He will feel he should have done better. Lee Clark still looking

:54:13. > :54:25.to end this winless run of five matches. A chance for Coulibaly!

:54:26. > :54:34.Kilmarnock's top scorer. He couldn't add to his tally. Perhaps he should

:54:35. > :54:39.have. Can Kilmarnock grab a late winning goal? Stevie Smith sets

:54:40. > :54:45.himself for the strike. Tomas Cerny had to be alert. Stevie Smith can

:54:46. > :54:52.hit them. He did so here. Journey alive to the danger. I thought we

:54:53. > :54:56.put a lot into the first half, the conditions weren't great and that

:54:57. > :55:03.played a part. Kilmarnock probably had the best chances in the second

:55:04. > :55:07.half. We couldn't work their goalkeeper enough. Hard-fought point

:55:08. > :55:14.for us under the circumstances we have with injuries to key players

:55:15. > :55:20.and important players. Asking lads to play in different positions to

:55:21. > :55:24.what they are used to, young players playing alongside other young

:55:25. > :55:32.players when you really want them alongside experience. Not so much

:55:33. > :55:35.Firhill for thrills, but Firhill for mills. You have to feel fit Doolan,

:55:36. > :55:41.the ball in the back of the net twice and he doesn't get any of

:55:42. > :55:48.them. The first one was clearly offside. The second one I'm not

:55:49. > :55:53.sure. He's somebody in the right areas. He's in the middle of the

:55:54. > :55:58.goals. That's where you will sniff out chances. He is offside and he

:55:59. > :56:02.can't have any complaints. The second one, again, getting himself

:56:03. > :56:07.into areas where he's going to have an effect. That is onside for me.

:56:08. > :56:13.It's a wonderful finish. Great touch. He'll be hugely disappointed,
