:00:39. > :00:42.It's been a decisive weekend in the Premiership.

:00:43. > :00:44.Major issues resolved, top and bottom,

:00:45. > :00:47.as this season enters its final stages.

:00:48. > :00:49.With us tonight, two giants of the '80s,

:00:50. > :00:53.still wearing pretty well, ex-Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner

:00:54. > :00:56.and the former Aberdeen captain Willie Miller.

:00:57. > :01:01.Ronny Deila's side effectively champions already

:01:02. > :01:04.after their victory over Hearts at Tynecastle last weekend.

:01:05. > :01:06.The Aberdeen title challenge may have fallen away in recent weeks,

:01:07. > :01:10.They'd beaten the champions twice this season.

:01:11. > :01:13.Could they do it on Celtic's home turf?

:01:14. > :01:29.A strong looking Celtic team, Mulgrew, Roberts and Armstrong

:01:30. > :01:35.coming from the cold, Leigh Griffiths looking continue his good

:01:36. > :01:43.role the let run against Aberdeen this season, who have not won in the

:01:44. > :01:49.lead here since 2004. -- looking to continue his good run. Adam Collin

:01:50. > :01:54.continues in goal. Jon Stewart scored for Aberdeen last time they

:01:55. > :01:58.won in the league, they have won a couple of Scottish Cup ties in the

:01:59. > :02:05.interim. It is a great ball, Niall McGinn on the end of it. The Dons

:02:06. > :02:10.looking to beat Celtic three times in the one season for the first time

:02:11. > :02:17.since 1991-92. It would be no mean feat. Here is Roberts, back on the

:02:18. > :02:26.scoresheet against hearts last week. He is going to have a go here, it is

:02:27. > :02:31.Roberts! It is 1-0, wonderful! There is not much you can do about that.

:02:32. > :02:38.Patrick Roberts with a classic for Celtic. They are well on their way

:02:39. > :02:46.to sealing the title now. Collin simply could not get there.

:02:47. > :03:00.It is Mulgrew, former Aberdeen player, Rogic, Griffiths. He's not

:03:01. > :03:04.get through to Roberts again! -- he snuck it through. The ?12 million

:03:05. > :03:10.player has come up with two goals of the highest quality! You would have

:03:11. > :03:12.to question the Aberdeen defending, that is for sure. But Roberts still

:03:13. > :03:23.had to finish, and he did. Derek McGee and is, I'm sure, will

:03:24. > :03:28.have stressed it was players to begin the second half better than

:03:29. > :03:37.they did the first. -- Derek McInnes. It is three! Mikael Lustig

:03:38. > :03:43.straight to Callum McGregor to offer a thank you. It is not great

:03:44. > :03:47.defending by Graeme Shinnie, good play by McGregor, Lustig with the

:03:48. > :03:54.finish. He had the easy part, and Celtic are cruising now. A worry for

:03:55. > :04:02.the Aberdeen management team, they went 3-0 down and only 49 minutes

:04:03. > :04:07.and the clock. Efe Ambrose is on as a half-time substitute, and he has

:04:08. > :04:13.gifted an opportunity for Jonny Hayes, and again, and he cannot

:04:14. > :04:17.force the goal. Well, apart from that McGinn effort from the cross

:04:18. > :04:22.barely been seen in the final third. barely been seen in the final third.

:04:23. > :04:25.-- early in the match. Poor from Ambrose.

:04:26. > :04:39.Here is Shinnie. Jack and McLean are waiting, Graeme Shinnie, Sviatchenko

:04:40. > :04:47.with the block. All of a sudden, Aberdeen have been given some

:04:48. > :04:52.impetus, purely down to Efe Ambrose. Won back by Considine, Aberdeen

:04:53. > :04:57.losing Simon Church late in the first, that has meant a change in

:04:58. > :05:09.tax. Through for McGinn, who scores! They have one back. It is the former

:05:10. > :05:12.Celtic man Niall McGinn. Ronny Deila will be really upset with the

:05:13. > :05:21.defending there. Celtic were in cruise control. Aberdeen staring at

:05:22. > :05:25.a fourth away defeat in a row, and it has been the previous three that

:05:26. > :05:31.really have cost them in the title race. This is Roberts, on a

:05:32. > :05:34.hat-trick, for Griffiths. Still he waits for number 40, he scored his

:05:35. > :05:40.30 and in the league at Tynecastle this week, joining a few others in

:05:41. > :05:50.having done that. That is an Aberdeen free kick,

:05:51. > :05:56.Shinnie was caught by Ambrose, he is going to be booked for that. He was

:05:57. > :06:07.high, and Aberdeen have a free kick in a promising area. McGinn takes

:06:08. > :06:13.it, Considine! It is 3-2! Stunned silence among the home sections

:06:14. > :06:16.here. Aberdeen are back to within one just after the hour mark. Well,

:06:17. > :06:33.hands up if you saw this coming! Here is Griffiths. Collin does what

:06:34. > :06:39.he has to do. Griffiths looking for Celtic's fourth goal, cannot quite

:06:40. > :06:43.find it. 21 straight league defeats for Aberdeen at Celtic Park, as

:06:44. > :06:48.McGinn swings it in, and Logan at accident. Well, that truly would

:06:49. > :06:52.have been sensational. -- Logan attacks it. Aberdeen were so out of

:06:53. > :07:00.this. Derek McInnes has beaten Celtic three times and is taking

:07:01. > :07:04.over at Pittodrie. Robson, Considine, they could be level in

:07:05. > :07:07.this game, Aberdeen! It looks like they are running out of time,

:07:08. > :07:14.though. Considine heading over the crossbar. It is a lot more nervy

:07:15. > :07:18.than Ronny Deila wanted it to be. A draw would have been enough for

:07:19. > :07:25.Celtic, it is victory, it is five in a row, signed, sealed and delivered!

:07:26. > :07:30.Ronny Deila's parting gift will be a league title. We knew that before a

:07:31. > :07:36.ball was kicked today. They just needed it rubber-stamped. They were

:07:37. > :07:41.stylish and flamboyant in the first half, not so good in the second. It

:07:42. > :07:47.didn't matter in the end. It finished here Celtic 3, Aberdeen 2,

:07:48. > :07:53.and a 47th league title for the Scottish champions.

:07:54. > :07:58.We are the best team in Scotland, that is a very good achievement,

:07:59. > :08:01.five in a row as well, 12 points ahead, hopefully six points more,

:08:02. > :08:06.and we have shown that we are the best team. I thought we were worth

:08:07. > :08:09.something from the game, you know, but congratulations to Celtic, they

:08:10. > :08:13.have found a way to win on the day and win the league. You know, there

:08:14. > :08:16.has been a lot of criticism here at times over the season for the

:08:17. > :08:22.manager and the team, but their league form is up with any

:08:23. > :08:25.championship winning team. Celtic affectively champions last weekend,

:08:26. > :08:29.officially champions today, they will get the trophy next weekend, by

:08:30. > :08:36.which time they might be partied out. But perhaps not! Five in a row,

:08:37. > :08:40.Pat, how big an achievement is this? It is a big achievement for some of

:08:41. > :08:43.those young players coming through for the first time, their first

:08:44. > :08:48.championship. Others have had a few more, and a few will be leaving.

:08:49. > :08:50.When you leave a club, you look back on your career and say the last

:08:51. > :08:54.championship was the one that was special to you. Ronny Deila is

:08:55. > :09:00.leaving, it will be special for him. And when you look at the history of

:09:01. > :09:03.Celtic football club, they are used to winning leagues, trophies, and

:09:04. > :09:07.this will go down as another stat, and who knows? It depends how many

:09:08. > :09:11.championships they will win, it could be a vital want to keep the

:09:12. > :09:16.run going. Five is an achievement, you have got to hand it to them. It

:09:17. > :09:21.has not been plain sailing, how much did today some up their season?

:09:22. > :09:25.Yeah, the good and the bad probably, I thought in the first they were

:09:26. > :09:30.excellent, played a high tempo game in midfield, totally dominated that

:09:31. > :09:38.area, created opportunities, scored two goals. Even in the second half,

:09:39. > :09:41.the beginning of the second half, you know, looked really positive for

:09:42. > :09:44.them, but then they lost their way. I think the change, Mulgrew going

:09:45. > :09:48.off and Ambrose coming on, that had a negative effect. We will get to

:09:49. > :09:52.that, not the best day as far as Aberdeen defending goes, but Patrick

:09:53. > :09:57.Roberts, a real star in the making. He is a young man coming into the

:09:58. > :10:02.club, obviously on loan. I think most fans would love if he would be

:10:03. > :10:09.there for the next three four years, but he has made an impact, no

:10:10. > :10:12.question, magnificent strike. Poor defending, but magnificent. This is

:10:13. > :10:16.the second goal, loads of room for Celtic on the ball in that final

:10:17. > :10:20.third, and he gets himself into an area, skins defending, but the

:10:21. > :10:31.finish is exceptional, sweet left foot across the goalkeeper. -- poor

:10:32. > :10:34.defending. This is the third goal, exceptional comeback for this

:10:35. > :10:38.player, quick feet setting up the goal for Mikael Lustig. Those are

:10:39. > :10:42.the young players that the fans are looking at as the future of the club

:10:43. > :10:47.here, they have got to bring in other experienced players to drive

:10:48. > :10:52.them on. Willie, not plain sailing for Celtic at the back, I know you

:10:53. > :10:57.are a huge fan of Efe Ambrose. Well, I think he came on, and right away

:10:58. > :11:01.he makes an error. It's just put a negative impact on the back four.

:11:02. > :11:06.There is no reason for him to get caught in this situation, when the

:11:07. > :11:11.options, he can play it back. He is very fortunate to get off with this,

:11:12. > :11:17.does well to put Jonny Hayes under pressure, because he is very quick.

:11:18. > :11:22.Changed the game, didn't it? Second half was incredible, they lost their

:11:23. > :11:26.way, but Aberdeen came into it. He is in no man's land, he gets himself

:11:27. > :11:30.out of position, and it is a well worked goal from Aberdeen,

:11:31. > :11:34.absolutely, playing with a false number nine, and I do not think

:11:35. > :11:38.Celtic handled that particularly well either. But then again, Ambrose

:11:39. > :11:42.goes into the challenge, it is a bad challenge, he gives away the free

:11:43. > :11:46.kick, but then he switches off totally as well.

:11:47. > :11:54.I think defensively they were all on edge at that point and they could

:11:55. > :11:59.have got to have a drawing the game. Where is the key area that Aberdeen

:12:00. > :12:02.need to strengthen? I think it is through the middle, to be honest.

:12:03. > :12:07.Definitely the goalkeeper. Danny Ward in the first half of the

:12:08. > :12:11.season, he was fabulous, he did great, and was a great presence

:12:12. > :12:15.between the sticks. Through the middle, maybe centre-half. They

:12:16. > :12:19.certainly need someone to back up Adam Rooney. Simon Church had a

:12:20. > :12:25.great impact but they need a back up for Adam Rooney as well. As the

:12:26. > :12:31.Celtic, the big story is Ronny Deila leaving in the summer. We see lots

:12:32. > :12:34.of runners and riders for possible replacements. Brendan Rodgers at the

:12:35. > :12:40.top. Who do you see getting the Celtic job? I don't know, to be

:12:41. > :12:44.honest. You could pick any of them and I think they could come in and

:12:45. > :12:50.do a job but will they do the job the Celtic fans want. There is two

:12:51. > :12:56.things. Whoever comes in, the leaders have to give them 20 or ?30

:12:57. > :13:02.million to bring in the quality players that the fans are desperate

:13:03. > :13:06.for, or you bring in another manager who is going to be on a budget, not

:13:07. > :13:09.going to get the players and he will have to develop them. I think the

:13:10. > :13:14.fans want the opposite. They want somebody to come in and make a real

:13:15. > :13:18.impact. I would love to see David Moyes. Brendan Rodgers, of course,

:13:19. > :13:23.but I think David Moyes has been at the club and he had a fantastic lot

:13:24. > :13:28.of experience and he is a young man. If he could play the same kind of

:13:29. > :13:29.team as Everton, nice balance between building it and getting it

:13:30. > :13:35.forward a high tempo, the fans would between building it and getting it

:13:36. > :13:38.enjoy that football. A name from you, Willie? Brendan Rodgers,

:13:39. > :13:43.absolutely, but they will all have their demands. It depends if Celtic

:13:44. > :13:48.are ready to meet the demands of that quality of manager. There are

:13:49. > :13:52.also names, like Mick McCarthy, Chris Hughton, people who have done

:13:53. > :13:54.exceptionally well. We will talk about it for weeks.

:13:55. > :13:57.Next we're off to Dens Park, Dundee versus Hamilton Academical.

:13:58. > :14:00.to stave off the threat of relegation.

:14:01. > :14:03.Always an edge between these sides, who would come out on top?

:14:04. > :14:17.Dundee make two changes from the side that won the Derby earlier in

:14:18. > :14:27.the week. Darrell Meggitt comes in. Hamilton also make two changes. Tena

:14:28. > :14:35.comes in, and Callum Morris joins Brophy in attack.

:14:36. > :14:43.Here is Carlton Morris. And that is an early strike for Hamilton Accies.

:14:44. > :14:50.In their battle for Premiership survival. And that was allowed to

:14:51. > :14:56.run through to Morris and it could have been cut out but lovely skills

:14:57. > :15:04.to turn away from Gadzhalov, and a terrific finish for his aides of the

:15:05. > :15:13.season. Dundee still looking to finish top of the bottom six. Neat

:15:14. > :15:20.football. Hemmings. In towards Ross. Well, Ross has missed a sitter. It

:15:21. > :15:26.was set on a plate for him by Kane Hemmings, and his manager cannot

:15:27. > :15:37.believe it. Lovely football by the dens Park club. Hemmings set it up,

:15:38. > :15:52.and Ross put it wide. Meggatt. Hemmings. Stuart. McGinn. He was

:15:53. > :15:57.trying to find Hemmings at the front post. Just eluded him and Michael

:15:58. > :16:07.McGovern was there to make the save. Good football again. Morris.

:16:08. > :16:20.Kurtaj, nice touch. Through for Brophy. Amat is 2-0 -- and that is

:16:21. > :16:27.2-0, although the Dundee players are protesting for offside. The manager

:16:28. > :16:31.agrees. It has been a long consultation between the two

:16:32. > :16:38.officials. And it is ruled out for offside. The ball bouncing off

:16:39. > :16:45.Kurtaj, through to Brophy, he was an offside position. They got there

:16:46. > :16:51.with the right decision in the end. On towards Kurtaj.

:16:52. > :17:00.He is looking for a fine delivery, and it is Emre. Touched over the bar

:17:01. > :17:03.by quick reactions from Scott Bain. It was a bit of an unorthodox header

:17:04. > :17:17.from Doogie Emre. Stuart with the corner. That's

:17:18. > :17:21.Meggatt. Cleared away by Carlton Morris, the goal hero at one end and

:17:22. > :17:32.showing he has defensive skills as well. Stuart with another corner.

:17:33. > :17:37.McGovern gets it out. Driven back in. There is Lloyd. And Michael

:17:38. > :17:45.McGovern gets down to grab that one McGovern gets down to grab that one

:17:46. > :17:52.-- there is Loy. It just won't go for Dundee. Hemmings. Lovely skills.

:17:53. > :17:58.Away from Gordon as Hemmings. Excellent goalkeeping by Michael

:17:59. > :18:02.McGovern. Hemmings looking to add to his tally of 25 goals so far this

:18:03. > :18:16.season, but that save just shows you why other clubs are looking at

:18:17. > :18:21.Michael McGovern. Kurtaj is looking for D'Acol, and this could finish

:18:22. > :18:27.it. And the substitute, D'Acol, with the strike.

:18:28. > :18:38.D'Acol. Lovely pass. Here is Docherty. They should tie it up. And

:18:39. > :18:41.Scott Bain does enough to put him off.

:18:42. > :18:47.That should have been a second goal, but 1-0 might be sufficient for

:18:48. > :18:51.Hamilton to secure their Premiership status.

:18:52. > :18:57.We had a couple of passages of play good football but it wasn't enough.

:18:58. > :19:01.At the start of the game I felt we started a bit lethargic and slow and

:19:02. > :19:04.we did not have the energy and zip about is like Monday night. To be

:19:05. > :19:09.fair, I don't think we deserve anything. The most important thing

:19:10. > :19:12.is doing what we wanted to do, keeping the club in the league. At

:19:13. > :19:16.times it's not been easy, but the most important thing is we are safe

:19:17. > :19:20.and we can play good football again next year. You were there yesterday.

:19:21. > :19:25.Given the Aki 's budget, huge achievement for them to stay in the

:19:26. > :19:29.Premiership. -- the Hamilton Accies budget. Martin Canning has done a

:19:30. > :19:33.fine job and they have had bad patches, but when they have

:19:34. > :19:37.mattered, they showed great courage and they were certainly up to the

:19:38. > :19:40.game against Dundee and I watched them against Dundee United as well

:19:41. > :19:44.and the start was crucial. You heard Paul Hartley saying Dundee did not

:19:45. > :19:50.start well, but Hamilton was certainly up for it. Carlton Morris

:19:51. > :19:54.gets the goal, on loan from Norwich City, and he will go back to Carrow

:19:55. > :19:56.Road knowing he's got the dollar keeps Hamilton in the Premiership.

:19:57. > :20:02.He used his strength well but it's poor defending. -- he got the goal.

:20:03. > :20:07.The other big centre-half was turned easily, but a good finish, and you

:20:08. > :20:11.need to defend that better. You should not allow a ball to go

:20:12. > :20:15.through like that into a striker. At that distance, especially, but a

:20:16. > :20:20.good finish. He shouldn't be turned like that, Gadzhalov, but take

:20:21. > :20:24.nothing away from Callum Morris. He used his strength well and it was a

:20:25. > :20:28.precise finish. His eighth goal of the season. Eamon Brophy thought he

:20:29. > :20:30.was on the scoresheet, and I'm sure you spotted this before the

:20:31. > :20:36.officials. Eventually they got the right decision. Eventually they did

:20:37. > :20:39.and that was the most important part of it. There is no doubt he is an

:20:40. > :20:42.offside position and I can only issue that the assistant thought

:20:43. > :20:49.that it may be deflected the Dundee player. It took one minute and 25

:20:50. > :20:53.seconds for it to be cleared up. You can see he hasn't raised the flag

:20:54. > :20:58.when it goes in, so he's not sure what to do. He got it right in the

:20:59. > :21:02.end. They did have the balls spotted to take the Centre. The most

:21:03. > :21:09.important thing is they got it right, and it saved any complaints.

:21:10. > :21:14.Took their time, one minute and 25 seconds, but they got there. Very

:21:15. > :21:18.briefly, had you assess the job Paul Hartley has done? Fabulous. He will

:21:19. > :21:22.be disappointed not to finish in the top six. Too many draws throughout

:21:23. > :21:25.the season, but the style of play is excellent and they go forward and

:21:26. > :21:29.they entertain and they score goals, and I think since he's come into the

:21:30. > :21:33.club, he's turned it round the Dundee fans are certainly happy with

:21:34. > :21:39.him. Hemmings and Stuart are quality players and I think there is a

:21:40. > :21:42.defensive part that he will concentrate on, training on that a

:21:43. > :21:44.bit better, and who knows, next year they might put in a challenge in the

:21:45. > :21:45.top six. Kilmarnock began the weekend

:21:46. > :21:47.in the play-off place. still not altogether safe

:21:48. > :22:03.themselves. Just a change of goalkeeper Paul

:22:04. > :22:08.Kilmarnock as Jamie MacDonald comes in, but otherwise it is the team

:22:09. > :22:12.that won 4-0 at Hamilton last time out. To changes in defence for

:22:13. > :22:14.Partick Thistle on the back of their 4-1 home defeat at the hands of

:22:15. > :22:26.Inverness. Josh Magennis with the long throw.

:22:27. > :22:35.Addison causing chaos at the back and it was Craig Slater, in the end,

:22:36. > :22:41.with a shot at goal. You can feel the tension at Rugby Park. There is

:22:42. > :22:51.so much at stake here. And some early pressure from the home team.

:22:52. > :23:02.Miller's throw. Lawless on the ball and Ingo 's guilty -- in goes Kilty.

:23:03. > :23:11.The referee said no, play goes on. Edwards. Dumbuya makes the

:23:12. > :23:15.overlapping run, in four David Amoo, and a big chance for Partick Thistle

:23:16. > :23:22.to go ahead. And his head is hurting. But what an opportunity

:23:23. > :23:29.hedge themselves in front will stop hedge themselves in front will stop

:23:30. > :23:37.-- edge themselves in front. Back from Dicker. Two Magennis. Always a

:23:38. > :23:43.threat, Josh Magennis, and his effort is touched around the post by

:23:44. > :23:51.Ryan Scully. Didn't really get everything behind the shot, but it

:23:52. > :23:57.was dangerous enough. Magennis with the header. Seabourn gets it away.

:23:58. > :24:03.But it is channelled back in the direction of Magennis. In for Boyd,

:24:04. > :24:11.he was having his shirt pulled, surely, inside the box by Freddie

:24:12. > :24:15.Frans. The referee says no penalty, but it had to be a massive shout. A

:24:16. > :24:22.lucky escape for Alan Archibald and his team. That is Boyd. Slater

:24:23. > :24:32.doesn't get the ball sufficiently clear. Osman. And look Lawless. It's

:24:33. > :24:38.all opening up for Steven Lawless to fire Thistle in front. Kilmarnock

:24:39. > :24:43.backed off and they have paid a heavy price.

:24:44. > :24:47.This could be a big goal in the story of their season. Are they

:24:48. > :25:02.lurching towards the play-offs? Osman's header. And Kris Doolan is

:25:03. > :25:11.through on goal. And he makes it 2-0 in favour of Partick Thistle. The

:25:12. > :25:14.Jags's leading marksman strikes again, and is there any way back at

:25:15. > :25:21.this point for Lee Clark's Kilmarnock? Rupert won football.

:25:22. > :25:26.Addison couldn't cut out the head flick from Osman and Doolan did the

:25:27. > :25:31.rest. Kilmarnock desperately need a goal back. Magennis with the long

:25:32. > :25:38.throw, and Osman gets it clear. Returned by Gary Dicker. Helped on

:25:39. > :25:45.by Obedayi. Gary Dicker with the shirt pulled again, and he gets the

:25:46. > :25:49.shot away, but he fires it wide. It is Dan Seabourn, the Thistle

:25:50. > :25:55.defender, who this time had a fistful of Boyd's shirt. Obedayi

:25:56. > :26:01.looking to bring the game back to life. But the attack fizzles out.

:26:02. > :26:09.And it is Kevin Nisbet on the counterattack for Thistle. Lawless

:26:10. > :26:14.is there as well. Walsh! And it is a fraction away from 3-0.

:26:15. > :26:21.2-0 will do just fine for Partick Thistle though. And it is a bad day

:26:22. > :26:25.at the office for Lee Clark and Kilmarnock.

:26:26. > :26:30.We knew we were up against it today and the fans were behind Kilmarnock

:26:31. > :26:34.and it was important we relaxed under the pressure and we dealt with

:26:35. > :26:39.what they threw at us in the corners and got the goal is a good time.

:26:40. > :26:45.Whenever you lose a game, it a disappointing dressing room, and

:26:46. > :26:48.today, with what was at stake, the way results have gone, we know what

:26:49. > :26:53.we've got to do now. But we're not going to be babies about it, we got

:26:54. > :26:58.to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down, we have got to go again and

:26:59. > :27:03.look at the next two games as important for us in terms of when it

:27:04. > :27:08.comes to the play off. Partick Thistle survive, but the agony of

:27:09. > :27:13.the play-offs for Kilmarnock, but it could have been very different, Pat,

:27:14. > :27:17.has something happened when Kris Boyd had a shirt pulled. The referee

:27:18. > :27:21.was in a beleaguered position to see it, I can only imagine that he

:27:22. > :27:28.thought Kris Boyd had no chance of getting the cross. -- in a really

:27:29. > :27:32.good position. Everyone in the stadium can see it, it is a big call

:27:33. > :27:36.at this stage of the game, you can see and there very easily. It is a

:27:37. > :27:41.huge call, because you are asking the referee to make the decision. He

:27:42. > :27:45.has probably got the decision wrong. Whether he is going to get it or

:27:46. > :27:49.not, he has interfered with the striker in the build-up to play

:27:50. > :27:55.inside the penalty box, and it is blatant. A huge moment for

:27:56. > :27:59.Kilmarnock's season. Frederik Frans, who was doing that, really poor

:28:00. > :28:04.defending, in the box, a critical game, he got away with it, you have

:28:05. > :28:10.to say. Partick Thistle rode their luck well, took their chances when

:28:11. > :28:16.it came. Great finish, the goal from Lawless, you know, he has got a lot

:28:17. > :28:20.to do, OK, Kilmarnock back off him, but four players around about him,

:28:21. > :28:29.he strikes it extremely well, the goalkeeper is unsighted. The other

:28:30. > :28:33.centre half was almost in the box, this is a strange goal, I do not

:28:34. > :28:38.know whether he should back off. It was a brilliant pass to the

:28:39. > :28:42.goalkeeper! But he has got to finish it, Kris Doolan an expert at scoring

:28:43. > :28:47.important goals for Partick Thistle, and he does it once again. We don't

:28:48. > :28:50.want to give away the rest of the show, and we do not know who will be

:28:51. > :28:56.bling Kilmarnock in the play-offs, but how do you rate their chances of

:28:57. > :29:00.staying up? They are the team, I no confidence and nerves come into it,

:29:01. > :29:03.but they should be the favourites no matter who they play from the lower

:29:04. > :29:07.division. For me, they should be favourites. And they have the

:29:08. > :29:11.players, it is just getting the confidence right, getting them

:29:12. > :29:17.focused. And that makes the next two games key. Absolutely, confidence

:29:18. > :29:21.must be low, and whoever they are going to play against, it is a big

:29:22. > :29:26.ask, but last season Motherwell did it against Rangers, when maybe

:29:27. > :29:28.people were thinking Rangers would overcome them. Lee Clark has got a

:29:29. > :29:31.big job to do. It was all about the battle

:29:32. > :29:33.for fourth place, as Motherwell hosted

:29:34. > :29:36.St Johnstone at Fir Park. But first up, Ross County

:29:37. > :29:48.were the visitors away at Hearts. This game would take a while to come

:29:49. > :29:54.to the boil. This lukewarm effort found row Z. A strangely tepid

:29:55. > :30:04.attempt by Murdoch rolled harmlessly wide. In the 25th minute, a great

:30:05. > :30:10.chance for Alex Schalk, well saved by the young Hearts keeper, Jack

:30:11. > :30:15.Hamilton. The second half continued in a slightly half and half way,

:30:16. > :30:24.Prince Buaben with a flash of inspiration, kept out by Andrew

:30:25. > :30:29.Davies. With only one win in six games, Hearts were toiling as far as

:30:30. > :30:36.inspiration goes, not able to supply the right connection. But they kept

:30:37. > :30:40.searching for the breakthrough, Prince Buaben again, this time saved

:30:41. > :30:48.by Scott Fox, the loose ball hooked clear. Next to try his luck for

:30:49. > :30:55.Hearts was Kevin Patterson, but the left foot failed to find the target.

:30:56. > :30:59.But keep trying, and more often than not you will get your reward. Prince

:31:00. > :31:07.Buaben again, this time with the cross, and Juanma finally putting

:31:08. > :31:19.Hearts in front in the 84th minute. Juanma had come off the bench to

:31:20. > :31:24.make the breakthrough, and another substitute had a major say in the

:31:25. > :31:26.outcome of this match. Martin Woods with the cross, David Goodwillie

:31:27. > :31:36.outcome of this match. Martin Woods with the finish. The goal coming in

:31:37. > :31:44.the 88th minute. It finished at Tynecastle 1-1.

:31:45. > :31:48.You know, this season we have at the quality, the crosses and shots at

:31:49. > :31:51.goal, and today I thought we did not have enough crosses and shots at

:31:52. > :31:55.goal, although we got into good positions to do it. We should put

:31:56. > :32:00.teams and more pressure, because it was a good ball and scored the goal,

:32:01. > :32:04.putting them under pressure, we scored. Hearts have taken the lead

:32:05. > :32:12.fairly late on, and we managed to reply quickly, which was great. The

:32:13. > :32:15.efforts that the players put in, we deserved

:32:16. > :32:19.efforts that the players put in, we The battle for fourth place not

:32:20. > :32:25.quite a timeline to get pulses racing, but that is what this was.

:32:26. > :32:29.Zander Clark had a moment to forget in the fourth minute, Scott McDonald

:32:30. > :32:31.gifted a goal, his 14th of the season but Motherwell in front. And

:32:32. > :32:42.they do not come much easier. How would St Johnstone respond? Were

:32:43. > :32:50.they will worked free kick, Liam Craig with the shot off the post. --

:32:51. > :32:55.with a well worked free kick. St Johnstone were starting to hit

:32:56. > :33:01.their stride as Danny Swanson and Mars Lee hit each other in the box.

:33:02. > :33:09.The Motherwell captain recovered, after a few groggy minutes. Marvin

:33:10. > :33:12.Johnson, playing at left back, but getting forward at every

:33:13. > :33:20.opportunity, then set up Macdonald for this effort which ended up wide.

:33:21. > :33:23.St Johnstone's left back, Brian Easton, was also getting on the

:33:24. > :33:35.front foot, and is perfect cross found the boot of Steven McClane,

:33:36. > :33:39.the veteran striker netting for the 14th time this season to make it

:33:40. > :33:43.1-1. And St Johnstone were not finished with the first half, the

:33:44. > :33:45.ball finding Danny Swanson, who calmly slotted home to put St

:33:46. > :33:59.Johnstone into the lead. No flapping from St Johnstone, just

:34:00. > :34:10.composure. Early in the second half, Scott McDonald would try his luck

:34:11. > :34:16.again, not far away. Up at the other end, Joe Shaughnessy almost extended

:34:17. > :34:19.St Johnstone's lead. And next for the Perth men to try his luck was

:34:20. > :34:27.David Wotherspoon, whose drilled effort was well saved by Connor

:34:28. > :34:36.Ripley. Substitute Chris Gane would come close, fourth place almost

:34:37. > :34:40.secured now for St Johnstone. Yeah, we are disappointed, but the

:34:41. > :34:44.lads have had a magnificent efforts to get into a position where we had

:34:45. > :34:48.a chance for. So disappointed to lose at home, particularly when the

:34:49. > :34:53.opportunity was there to win in the first tab. But we will try to finish

:34:54. > :34:57.the season in the next two games. They bounced back well, I thought it

:34:58. > :35:01.was pretty even, we got the goal back, but after the equaliser we

:35:02. > :35:05.were the better side. St Johnstone looked destined for fourth place

:35:06. > :35:08.this season, and turning the tables on Motherwell with some pretty

:35:09. > :35:13.decent goals. They have come back well, St Johnstone, getting into the

:35:14. > :35:18.top six, the pressure has come off all the managers at that point, and

:35:19. > :35:23.this was a really good cross, back on the scoresheet, 14 goals, good

:35:24. > :35:28.return, very good return. He went through a dry spell, injuries played

:35:29. > :35:32.a part, but he is back. Good finish from Danny Swanson as well.

:35:33. > :35:37.Incredible job that Tommy right has done, isn't it? I think, with the

:35:38. > :35:42.was all so is that he has... A few more next season? I think he

:35:43. > :35:47.deserves it, to be perfectly honest, with the was Ossie has achieved over

:35:48. > :35:54.the years, but it is a well-run club, they go within their budget,

:35:55. > :35:57.it is a good bunch of players, I watched them dismantle Aberdeen

:35:58. > :36:00.it is a good bunch of players, I recently, excellent performance, but

:36:01. > :36:05.generally, over the last few years, he has been outstanding. I think it

:36:06. > :36:09.has every chance next season. A bit tedious at Tynecastle until the last

:36:10. > :36:13.six minutes, but came to life, Juanma opening the scoring for

:36:14. > :36:18.Hearts, Willie, they had a lot of chances but it did not quite flick.

:36:19. > :36:24.He just put it into the area that is great for the striker, inviting his

:36:25. > :36:30.striker to go and be brave. Juanma is very brave. A hint of offside?

:36:31. > :36:35.You could say just maybe, very fractional, but I think Hearts... I

:36:36. > :36:41.watched them last week, and, you know, for a period of 15 minutes

:36:42. > :36:44.they played really well, but they lost some awful goals. And that one

:36:45. > :36:52.is not great, they should be pushing out, getting their line right, he

:36:53. > :36:56.would have been there. David Goodwillie likes playing at

:36:57. > :37:02.Tynecastle. Is only goals for Aberdeen have come there. Brilliant

:37:03. > :37:06.season for Hearts too. Where they have finished up. Title challengers

:37:07. > :37:10.next season? Is that too much? They will have to build more, that would

:37:11. > :37:12.be a big challenge for them, but they are in Europe, fantastic.

:37:13. > :37:14.It would be a long, lonely trek up the road

:37:15. > :37:18.as they took on Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Friday night.

:37:19. > :37:28.Same again for Inverness as John Hughes feels the same time that beat

:37:29. > :37:36.Partick Thistle 4-1 last time out, and adaptable formation. Gordon

:37:37. > :37:41.young takes charge of United and makes two changes from the team that

:37:42. > :37:42.lost the Dundee derby. Callum Morris returns, Billy Mckay comes into

:37:43. > :37:55.faces old club. Inverness unbeaten in the last four

:37:56. > :38:00.matches, three wins and a draw. Here is Mckay. To Simon Murray, what a

:38:01. > :38:10.strike that is! And Dundee United get the breakthrough with less than

:38:11. > :38:14.six minutes played! Good switch direction to find Murray. Still

:38:15. > :38:25.Murray. Mckay is asking for it, good shot

:38:26. > :38:32.from Billy Mckay, there is Murray, and has it gone over the line? It

:38:33. > :38:37.has! The officials say United 2-0 up, Simon Murray goes off claim it.

:38:38. > :38:43.It was saved by Williams, but it broke the way of Murray. But it came

:38:44. > :38:54.back off Josh Meekings, it may well go down as an own goal.

:38:55. > :39:12.Good break once more by United, it is Mckay. It is unbelievable! Dundee

:39:13. > :39:17.United are 3-0 in front, and a -- Ofere claims his second of the

:39:18. > :39:24.season. Tansy, lovely flick, here is Jordan Roberts. Taking the shot and

:39:25. > :39:30.delivering it, and within 13 seconds going 3-0 down, they have reduced

:39:31. > :39:38.the deficit to two. Tansey with the free kick, flicked on by Draper.

:39:39. > :39:44.Appeals that it came off the arm of a Dundee United defender. It could

:39:45. > :39:48.easily have been a penalty. Dundee United have not won in their last

:39:49. > :39:57.eight games against Inverness. Here is Meekings. That is Jordan Roberts,

:39:58. > :40:03.again trying his luck, and there he is snapping up the rebound! It was

:40:04. > :40:06.poor goalkeeping from Kawashima, he put it straight into the path of

:40:07. > :40:18.Liam Polworth, and they are right back in this game. Mbuyi-Mutombo

:40:19. > :40:20.downed by the challenge of Morris, the referee says that is worthy of a

:40:21. > :40:35.yellow card. That is a free kick, and did is a

:40:36. > :40:41.second yellow card for Callum Morris, and he sees red. Dundee

:40:42. > :40:51.United down to ten men with 12 minutes remaining. A couple of nips

:40:52. > :40:57.there at Roberts. Tansey in towards Roberts, Kawashima holds it hit this

:40:58. > :41:05.time. It won't go for Jordan Roberts. And United could be on

:41:06. > :41:10.course for a victory here. Dundee United deserved to win the game?

:41:11. > :41:17.Possibly no, not enough possession in the stats, no possession does not

:41:18. > :41:22.win you football games, taking chances.

:41:23. > :41:29.I did not change anything, I just kept going the way we had gone all

:41:30. > :41:35.season. There is nothing I did that was revolutionary or different. That

:41:36. > :41:39.win means very little the Dundee United as they are already

:41:40. > :41:44.relegated. Chairman Stephen Thomson has got the neck. Where does the

:41:45. > :41:50.blame lie for you, Willie Miller? I think it is a group blame here. It

:41:51. > :41:52.is a team sport from the top to the bottom and you have to take

:41:53. > :41:57.responsibility. This leave the chairman is the main target and the

:41:58. > :42:03.one that sanctions the sale of players alike sold a lot of players.

:42:04. > :42:08.So he shoulders blame? Absolutely, and he has to be big enough to take

:42:09. > :42:11.the criticism he is taking, but it is on the park and players have to

:42:12. > :42:17.take responsibility. Management teams have to take responsibility.

:42:18. > :42:22.Not ratio, but even last year they went through that period where they

:42:23. > :42:26.laid Celtic 45 times and they drew one and they had sold players at

:42:27. > :42:32.crucial times and then the story came out about Jackie getting money,

:42:33. > :42:35.and all of those things contributed the leadership was wrong and they

:42:36. > :42:39.change the manager. The manager came in and did not bring in the players

:42:40. > :42:44.that people expected to bring in or it didn't quite work and then the

:42:45. > :42:47.results didn't go over them and they were always catching up but it was

:42:48. > :42:52.always a disaster moving down and they will have to rebuild. Massive

:42:53. > :42:57.changes, but Simon Murray, a player who will be staying by the looks of

:42:58. > :42:59.things, and possibly one that Dundee United can build around in the

:43:00. > :43:06.championship next season. He has something. Absolutely. He has

:43:07. > :43:10.energy. I have watched him on a number of occasions, fabulous strike

:43:11. > :43:15.here and he will pop up on the left-hand side, right-hand side and

:43:16. > :43:18.he does not give defenders time, he is direct, which is difficult to

:43:19. > :43:23.defend against as well, so I think he is a key man going forward. He is

:43:24. > :43:27.the type of player they will have to get in with the high-energy. Not the

:43:28. > :43:30.top-quality blaze you expect that they have to work to get themselves

:43:31. > :43:35.out of that division and they will have to build a team effort, team

:43:36. > :43:38.spirit and confidence will have to come and that is the big job the

:43:39. > :43:42.manager will have. Results will help, and if you get results and the

:43:43. > :43:48.start, that will be fine. The breaking news is that the Raith

:43:49. > :43:52.Rovers manager, they have reached an agreement with Dundee United meaning

:43:53. > :43:56.they can talk to Ray McKinnon and it looks like it is edging towards him

:43:57. > :44:00.becoming Dundee United manager. Absolutely. I don't think there's

:44:01. > :44:03.any doubt. He's a local lad, an ex-player and he's done

:44:04. > :44:08.magnificently well and his rise to fame has been pretty swift, taking

:44:09. > :44:13.Brechin and doing a great job and then doing well at Raith Rovers this

:44:14. > :44:19.season, so it fits in place, but he has a huge job to get that team and

:44:20. > :44:20.get them but the first go, big ask. Absolutely.

:44:21. > :44:23.looks very pleasant for Celtic fans this evening.

:44:24. > :44:24.Ronny Deila's side now officially champions.

:44:25. > :44:26.83 points with two games left to play.

:44:27. > :44:30.St Johnstone look destined for a fourth place finish.

:44:31. > :44:32.At the bottom, Partick Thistle and Hamilton now safe.

:44:33. > :44:40.For Kilmarnock, the perils of the play-off.

:44:41. > :44:42.The question now is, who will Kilmarnock play?

:44:43. > :44:44.That became a bit clearer yesterday after the second leg

:44:45. > :44:47.of the Premiership play-off quarter-final.

:44:48. > :44:48.Hibs versus Raith Rovers at Easter Road.

:44:49. > :45:04.There were two changes for him Bernie and on the back of the first

:45:05. > :45:15.leg defeat. Fontaine and Berkeley are replaced by Henderson and

:45:16. > :45:19.McGeouch. Raith Rovers only make one change, taking a 1-0 lead to Easter

:45:20. > :45:31.Road, looking to keep hopes of their promotion alive. Jason Cummings.

:45:32. > :45:37.Dylan McGeouch looking to spark something for Hibs. Cleared by

:45:38. > :45:48.Benedictus. That is Stokes. The shot is blocked. John McGinn. Deflection

:45:49. > :45:55.and Hibs have got the start they were desperately hoping for. Ahead

:45:56. > :46:02.inside eight minutes and Raith Rovers's first leg lead is wiped

:46:03. > :46:05.out. It was Davidson flying into the challenge against McGinn and all he

:46:06. > :46:13.put it over the goalkeeper hand in. put it over the goalkeeper hand in.

:46:14. > :46:25.-- and in. Henderson is probing. Now Cummings. Looking to stretch Raith

:46:26. > :46:30.Rovers again. It is Fyvie. Blocked by McKeown. James Craigen has

:46:31. > :46:35.conceded Accord -- a corner, which was so avoidable.

:46:36. > :46:46.In from Henderson. Darren McGregor!, he makes it 2-0. And Hibs have

:46:47. > :46:51.turned this type completely around. Only 12 minutes played at Easter

:46:52. > :47:02.Road and 1-0 down has become too- one ahead. 2-1. A free header and he

:47:03. > :47:14.could not keep it out. An interception by Fyvie. That is

:47:15. > :47:19.McGinn. Losing out to Toshney. Raith Rovers playing their way into this

:47:20. > :47:21.game and they were so far out of it early on. Craigen lofts it forward

:47:22. > :47:26.and Ryan Hardie is forward. Logan early on. Craigen lofts it forward

:47:27. > :47:33.makes the save. Louis Longridge with a great chance and Darren McGregor

:47:34. > :47:39.to the rescue. As the Kirkaldy team look to get a goal back at Easter

:47:40. > :47:47.Road. Chances falling to Hardy and Longridge and it pops up into the

:47:48. > :47:53.gloves of Conrad Logan. McGeouch, great pass. Wide-open spaces for

:47:54. > :47:59.Jason Cummings. Turning away from the challenge of Benedictus. Still

:48:00. > :48:06.Jason Cummings. Turning away from going, Cummings. Now Henderson.

:48:07. > :48:12.Great effort, great save. Kevin Cuthbert at full stretch in the

:48:13. > :48:25.Raith Rovers goal. Keeping his team alive. Fyvie with the free kick for

:48:26. > :48:29.Hibs. Raith get it clear, but only as far as McGinn and it is another

:48:30. > :48:34.deflected shot from the Hibs midfielder. Thankfully, for Raith

:48:35. > :48:41.Rovers, this time it spins wide of the target.

:48:42. > :48:53.The cushion the pass, in from Thompson, and miscued, and that set

:48:54. > :49:02.up the chance for Toshney. They have far from given up, Raith Rovers.

:49:03. > :49:08.McGinn's free kick. Grey! So close to number three, and a bullet header

:49:09. > :49:14.from the full-back bouncing back off the post.

:49:15. > :49:21.The team certainly don't look tired. With the energy and effort they put

:49:22. > :49:26.in today, they are a team that is in good form and we have shown today

:49:27. > :49:32.that when the chips are down, we have responded again. I'm really

:49:33. > :49:35.proud of them. They are in their really disappointed, but they know

:49:36. > :49:39.they gave everything on the park. Fair play to Hibs, they got the two

:49:40. > :49:43.goals and they are into the next round and they are a great team and

:49:44. > :49:47.they have excellent players in that team and a great manager and I wish

:49:48. > :49:51.them well. Commiserations to Raith Rovers but huge credit to Hibs for

:49:52. > :49:55.turning it around, although a bit of luck, certainly with the first goal.

:49:56. > :49:57.You need a bit of luck and if you want to get off to the perfect

:49:58. > :50:05.start, you want goals. Good play by Anthony Stokes, but you

:50:06. > :50:14.have to get in there and try it, and anything can happen. But Hibs played

:50:15. > :50:19.well and they have a number of players that can make the difference

:50:20. > :50:20.to a team. What about the defending here, Willie? They are positive.

:50:21. > :50:25.This is early in the game and here, Willie? They are positive.

:50:26. > :50:29.McGregor does extremely well, but Ray McKinnon will be disappointed

:50:30. > :50:33.with his defenders that he has not picked them up, but he is brave, and

:50:34. > :50:40.strong and he is a big unit and its well delivered. Hibsing it has

:50:41. > :50:47.strong and he is a big unit and its become a phrase, implying a

:50:48. > :50:53.flakiness. Unfair for you? McGeouch, Cummings, McGinn, they have got the

:50:54. > :50:56.players in their, when they are all playing well, they are good on the

:50:57. > :50:59.eye but it is a lack of consistency that they have in the middle. I

:51:00. > :51:04.think they have come back well. Alan was talking it up, getting the

:51:05. > :51:10.confidence up and getting that bit away from the media and fans about

:51:11. > :51:15.being tired. They face Falkirk now in the semifinal. The first match

:51:16. > :51:20.coming up on Tuesday. This is the record between the sides this

:51:21. > :51:24.season, and it is so close, just one victory and three draws. It's very

:51:25. > :51:28.difficult to split them. Both managers have had fabulous seasons.

:51:29. > :51:33.Peter Houston has done a magnificent job at Falkirk, and Alan Stubbs the

:51:34. > :51:37.same with Hibs. The results, when it has been head-to-head, so close and

:51:38. > :51:44.it's difficult to call. It could go either way. It is a team that brings

:51:45. > :51:49.their a game over the two games. Falkirk at home? Hibs at home first,

:51:50. > :51:57.that might give Falkirk a little edge. You are going to go for

:51:58. > :52:02.Falkirk? No, no, I think it will be a really tight game, and whoever

:52:03. > :52:07.gets through will give Kilmarnock a really tough game. Willie, who will

:52:08. > :52:11.you go for? I really do think it is too difficult to call. I wouldn't

:52:12. > :52:14.want to go either way. I think both teams are capable of playing

:52:15. > :52:18.excellent football and they have both got goal-scorers as well. Great

:52:19. > :52:24.managers too. I think we should enjoy the fact that we have that

:52:25. > :52:26.quality coming up. Sitting on the offensive, Willie. Not sitting on

:52:27. > :52:34.the fence, I'm giving you an honest opinion. In terms of both of them,

:52:35. > :52:38.Willie, how would they fare against Kilmarnock? I think Omari Caro in a

:52:39. > :52:44.sad situation. Confidence is obviously low. -- I think they are

:52:45. > :52:47.in a sad situation. I still think they go in as favourites and they

:52:48. > :52:51.should do because they are the Premier League club, but that will

:52:52. > :52:55.be a difficult one for them. OK, live coverage of both legs of the

:52:56. > :53:00.Premiership play-off semifinal on BBC radio Scotland on Tuesday and on

:53:01. > :53:07.Friday night, the Sportscene team will be on air at 6:30 p.m.. That's

:53:08. > :53:10.it for tonight. Thanks to Willie and Pat, and congratulations to Celtic.

:53:11. > :53:13.Five titles in a row. Until next time, from all of us, good night.
