:00:59. > :01:08.Hello, strap yourselves in, this could be the most controversial

:01:09. > :01:11.programme of the season so far, the first week after the split, and life

:01:12. > :01:23.has just got very interesting indeed. I am joined by Pat Nevin and

:01:24. > :01:30.Steven Thompson. We start with Saint Mirren against Hibernian. Not much

:01:31. > :01:37.you can say about the form of Hibernian, other than it has been

:01:38. > :01:41.awful. Saint Mirren have not played much better but a 3-2 victory last

:01:42. > :01:46.week gave them a boost coming into this.

:01:47. > :01:58.The same Saint Mirren starting 11 is defeated Motherwell. Looking for a

:01:59. > :02:07.change in form, Terry Butcher makes for changes to their Hibernian side.

:02:08. > :02:12.-- four. Saint Mirren will kick off. Looking for back-to-back fig trees

:02:13. > :02:23.for the first time since November last year. -- victories. McGinn.

:02:24. > :02:37.Thompson. Kenny Maclean! What a start! Only 13 seconds played.

:02:38. > :02:41.Hibernian and never got a touch. The highball from McGinn was well set up

:02:42. > :02:47.by Thompson, Maclean dispatched it beyond Williams for a six goal of

:02:48. > :02:57.the season. What a start for Danny Lennon. The fastest goal in the

:02:58. > :03:08.Premiership. Goodwin gets it to Maclean. McGavin. On the left

:03:09. > :03:18.foot... 2-0 in front! Only 14 minutes played! Hibernian causing

:03:19. > :03:30.their own problems. A lovely pass, McGowan slotted it in. A fourth of

:03:31. > :03:35.the campaign. Maclean. Thomson. That was close to number three. The

:03:36. > :03:51.striker getting in the head of the defenders. Harris. Play on, says the

:03:52. > :04:00.referee. Stanton. Good strike, parried by the goalkeeper. Reacted

:04:01. > :04:09.quickly after spilling it initially. Stanton has been a shining light for

:04:10. > :04:20.Hibernian in recent weeks. Thompson. Goodwin. What a challenge that was.

:04:21. > :04:28.A decision for the referee. It is a red card, forging Goodwin, the

:04:29. > :04:38.captain. -- for Jim Goodwin. Saint Mirren, down to ten men. McGowan.

:04:39. > :04:48.Robbed by the combination of Harris and Thompson. Kevin Thompson, toward

:04:49. > :05:04.Stanton... You expected the net to bulge. He got right underneath it.

:05:05. > :05:17.Good linkup play. Sean Kelly. Being direct... Not too far away! Positive

:05:18. > :05:27.play from the full-back. The free kick, breaking for Newton... A fine

:05:28. > :05:43.volley. But it was straight at N Williams. -- Ben. Jason Cummings.

:05:44. > :05:57.It's just will not go for Hibernian this afternoon. Already some of

:05:58. > :06:06.their supporters heading home. Thompson. Nelson. It drops for Jason

:06:07. > :06:14.Cummings. Hibernian are getting closer. But not close enough.

:06:15. > :06:23.It was a monumental performance. They played for that wonderful

:06:24. > :06:29.support. It hurts so much. But we need to

:06:30. > :06:33.bounce back, show resilience and toughness. There was not enough

:06:34. > :06:44.fight today. Abysmal from the Burnie on. We will

:06:45. > :06:50.get to them in a moment. But first, how big a result was that forcing

:06:51. > :06:58.Mirren? A real shift for us. It has given us

:06:59. > :07:05.a massive boost. The fastest goal in the Premiership this season, Stephen

:07:06. > :07:09.was at the heart of things. Absolutely. Terry Butcher will have

:07:10. > :07:16.told his team, start as fast as you possibly can. Then this happens.

:07:17. > :07:26.First of all, a mistake. Look at Maclean go past Thompson. A great

:07:27. > :07:36.run. He makes my job easy. The timing of the run was perfect, ideal

:07:37. > :07:43.for me. A nice tackle. This is a lovely pass. Outside of the foot.

:07:44. > :07:52.Soft and supple. Absolutely brilliant. He is a wonderful

:07:53. > :07:58.talent, a very cultured left foot, one of the best in the game.

:07:59. > :08:12.We do not talk enough about Jim Goodwin! Certainly not when I am on!

:08:13. > :08:18.Did it merit a red card? When you see the referees angle, that is

:08:19. > :08:24.important. It looks quite reckless. That is what it is about, is it

:08:25. > :08:32.reckless? But I think there are two or three players between him. This

:08:33. > :08:41.is the giveaway. That is not reckless, just hopeless! Not a very

:08:42. > :08:45.good tackle at all. His trailing leg catches Kevin Thompson. Certainly

:08:46. > :08:54.not a red card. I would be surprised if it is not rescinded. You think

:08:55. > :09:00.Saint Mirren will appeal it? Definitely we will.

:09:01. > :09:05.And it is the Edinburgh derby next week.

:09:06. > :09:13.That alone will lift you if nothing else will. But it has been a long

:09:14. > :09:21.run for them now. Possibly the worst run of anyone. Worrying times.

:09:22. > :09:28.Two other sites also in the play-off mix met yesterday, Partick Thistle

:09:29. > :09:33.and Kilmarnock. Kris Boyd hoping to put clear blue water between

:09:34. > :09:38.Kilmarnock and the rest of the play-off contenders.

:09:39. > :09:50.Two changes for Kilmarnock. Craig Slater and Robbie Muirhead dropping

:09:51. > :10:00.out. James Craig and is in for Partick Thistle.

:10:01. > :10:19.Free kick, James Kraken, thumping it off the crossbar! That was close!

:10:20. > :10:32.Chris Dolan, lining up the short, on target. But just helped over the top

:10:33. > :10:46.by Craig Samson. The mayor is in trouble. -- Lee Mayer. Kris Boyd, a

:10:47. > :10:56.missed opportunity, he did not catch that at all. The header by Lee

:10:57. > :11:08.Ashcroft. Now, Robbie McKenzie. Jackson Irvine with the shot at

:11:09. > :11:22.goal, but from the young Australian, it was pretty much straight at Paul

:11:23. > :11:30.Gallacher. Up goes Ashcroft... And Maximenko scores a first goal for

:11:31. > :11:41.command. On the loan from Brighton, squeezing this one in. 1-0. Erskine.

:11:42. > :11:54.He was caught. Play is brought back for the foul. Just outside the

:11:55. > :12:02.penalty box. It is calm Higginbotham... 1-1! The reaction

:12:03. > :12:11.tells you how important that goal is. Side footed by the midfielder,

:12:12. > :12:25.placed to perfection through a rock of players, past Craig Samson.

:12:26. > :12:33.Meikle guideline. Back off the bar, balancing on the line, Claude away

:12:34. > :12:45.by Gallic! Was that over the line? That is the question. That looks

:12:46. > :13:02.inconclusive. Hunting down a winning goal. Barber! Of the line! This was

:13:03. > :13:24.heading in from barber. Taylor Sinclair. And again. Gardyne Full in

:13:25. > :13:32.goes Boyd, the top goal-scorer for Kilmarnock looking to turn one point

:13:33. > :13:43.23. Jordan Mick Millen. Higginbotham. A good ball in, and

:13:44. > :13:51.Taylor Sinclair strikes! Five minutes from time, only his second

:13:52. > :13:59.goal of the season. That could be of huge significance. 2-1, Partick

:14:00. > :14:12.Thistle. They are trying to get themselves out of second bottom

:14:13. > :14:19.spot. Barber! Paul Gallacher makes the save.

:14:20. > :14:29.Extremely disappointed. There was not much in the game. The big

:14:30. > :14:37.moments did not go our way. We played better in the first-half,

:14:38. > :14:51.chances wise. We showed character, summed up by our full-back scoring

:14:52. > :14:57.the winner. Fantastic win for Partick Thistle yesterday. Let's

:14:58. > :15:02.clean up this confusion. I do not think that was over the line, that

:15:03. > :15:09.was on the line. There was a second bounce. I will show you this other

:15:10. > :15:14.angle. The entirety of the circumference of the ball is not

:15:15. > :15:19.over the line. Well done the officials, they have called it

:15:20. > :15:28.right. You are not able to give the goal unless you are sure it is over

:15:29. > :15:34.the line. A massive win for Partick Thistle yesterday. Players like

:15:35. > :15:42.Kallum Higginbotham to the fore. Yes, he has been impressive. This

:15:43. > :15:46.all into the box was so inviting. Taylor-Sinclair's desire to get into

:15:47. > :15:53.the box in the last couple of minutes of the game as a full-back

:15:54. > :15:58.is really breathtaking. He again has impressed me this season. All the

:15:59. > :16:05.teams in the bottom six are all capable of beating each other, they

:16:06. > :16:09.are all very similar, in my opinion. And on Friday night Partick Thistle

:16:10. > :16:16.at home to yourselves. What should we expect? Firstly it will be a

:16:17. > :16:22.great atmosphere. I think the atmosphere will be great, new teams

:16:23. > :16:27.giving their absolute maximum and hopefully a St Mirren win.

:16:28. > :16:31.Hopefully, from your point of view! The point you made about the

:16:32. > :16:42.atmosphere at Partick Thistle. They have jumped out at me those fans

:16:43. > :16:48.when I have been there this season. It should be a great match on Friday

:16:49. > :16:52.night. Hearts are already down there but they should have a massive stage

:16:53. > :17:00.-- say in who finishes second bottom. The club should exit

:17:01. > :17:05.administration very soon avoiding the threat of liquidation. Ross

:17:06. > :17:13.County went into this match with their R ship future very much in

:17:14. > :17:14.doubt. This would be a hugely controversial march. Brian

:17:15. > :17:37.McLauchlan was there for us. It was a first-half of very few

:17:38. > :17:42.chances. No way beyond McDonald. Into the second half and a booking

:17:43. > :17:46.for Jamie Hamill after this barge into the back of Michael Pitzer. The

:17:47. > :17:54.yellow card was to prove crucial later. Teenagers came and Nicholson

:17:55. > :18:02.combined, a fantastic challenge denied Hearts the opener. Then the

:18:03. > :18:07.turning point after 65 minutes. McHattie bundle down inside the box

:18:08. > :18:12.by Graham Carey. A penalty kick said the referee. Soft it may have been

:18:13. > :18:20.but Jamie Hamill made no mistake from the spot. He put Hearts one up

:18:21. > :18:28.much to the delight of the home fans. Hamill refused to hand the

:18:29. > :18:33.ball back to Yan song good. A push from the County defender and then a

:18:34. > :18:39.barge into the County boss Derek Adams. Both song do and Hamill were

:18:40. > :18:46.booked for their part leading to a red card for the Hearts captain. But

:18:47. > :18:51.the ten men kept pushing forward and Scott Robinson had a great chance to

:18:52. > :19:00.make it to but Brown saved with his beat. There was almost an equaliser.

:19:01. > :19:05.The header was wide of the mark. With four minutes of stoppage time

:19:06. > :19:11.on the clock, Hearts broken clear. Real character fired the boil high

:19:12. > :19:30.into the roof of the net, his fifth of the season -- the real character.

:19:31. > :19:33.-- Dale Carick. They made things difficult for us but I thought we

:19:34. > :19:40.thoroughly deserved the three points. We had chances, we did not

:19:41. > :19:46.take the chances but we have to show more hunger than we did today. It

:19:47. > :19:53.has been a good week for everybody connected with the football club.

:19:54. > :19:59.Normally one place we can possibly start after that game. The Jamie

:20:00. > :20:04.Hamill barge on Derek Adams. What did you make of it? I think the

:20:05. > :20:08.referee got the penalty right. It seems mild from there but they got

:20:09. > :20:15.the other angle and the referee is in exactly the right position. There

:20:16. > :20:21.is no argument. This is the last good thing I can say about Jamie

:20:22. > :20:28.Hamill, a good penalty. Superb. You can get a yellow card for running

:20:29. > :20:32.away with the ball. He starts winding up the other players with it

:20:33. > :20:38.and then throws the ball. Maybe he can is down now, or maybe not. I am

:20:39. > :20:45.absolutely and utterly stunned by it. Derek does not react which is

:20:46. > :20:52.amazing. I mac it is completely disrespectful from Hamill in a

:20:53. > :20:57.moment of madness. It is ridiculous. From what we understand at the

:20:58. > :21:04.moment that might be his orderly punishment. That red card. Because

:21:05. > :21:10.the referee dealt with it at the time I understand it but that is

:21:11. > :21:13.just madness. We got Jim Goodwin off with it earlier but I do not think

:21:14. > :21:20.we can like Hamill off with that one. Let's not forget the fact it

:21:21. > :21:27.was a fantastic result for Hearts and the brilliant crowd. That is

:21:28. > :21:32.fantastic. The fact Hearts look like they will be exiting

:21:33. > :21:36.administration, great times for the club in that respect. They will not

:21:37. > :21:41.be in the championship next season but it is great that they can

:21:42. > :21:48.continue as a going concern next season. You have to give audits to

:21:49. > :21:52.the supporters. 14,000 has been an average gate. It is phenomenal. They

:21:53. > :21:58.have supported them knowing they are getting relegated. Next weekend it

:21:59. > :22:04.is the Edinburgh derby and we all heard about lax sabbath a few weeks

:22:05. > :22:11.ago, Hearts can drag Hibernian further into the play-off. If you

:22:12. > :22:20.look at the way the Hibernian fans are in a real downer at the moment,

:22:21. > :22:26.Hearts, the strange way we are the same really up at the moment

:22:27. > :22:36.although they are going down. Whatever team goes down from the SPE

:22:37. > :22:43.ill it will be a stunning division. It is a next road very situation and

:22:44. > :22:50.quite funny. Time now for a look at the top half of the Premiership.

:22:51. > :23:20.Commentary from Liam McLeod. Motherwell have won two of their

:23:21. > :23:25.last three at home against Celtic. John Sutton is in in the early

:23:26. > :23:33.stages here and Forster cannot keep it out. What a start! Poor defending

:23:34. > :23:38.from Ambrose and Sutton took full advantage of low Forster will feel

:23:39. > :23:44.he should have done better. That is 20 now for the season from John

:23:45. > :23:50.Sutton. Celtic trying to get themselves going. That is a lovely

:23:51. > :23:56.little backheel from your hands and four strokes. He goes down and that

:23:57. > :24:04.is a penalty. Iain Vigurs with the barge on stalks. Kris Commons has

:24:05. > :24:12.not missed from the spot this season. He has no! That is all down

:24:13. > :24:17.to Gunnar Nielsen. It is not the worst penalty you will ever see but

:24:18. > :24:26.that was a terrific save. That preserves the Motherwell lead.

:24:27. > :24:36.The-0, 5-0 and 2-0 have been the reverse is for Motherwell this

:24:37. > :24:40.season. And it is a goal! It is too! The second for Motherwell right on

:24:41. > :24:47.half-time and second place firmly in their sights. Great play from Anier

:24:48. > :24:58.and good -- poor defending from Celtic. Virgil van Dijk. Brown gives

:24:59. > :25:08.it back to stalks. Stokes goes for ball and that is tremendous. Genius

:25:09. > :25:17.from Anthony Stokes. He will claim he meant that and if he has, that is

:25:18. > :25:22.superb. Neil Lennon would have had a very different team talk at

:25:23. > :25:37.half-time thanks to that stalks goal at half-time. What a good game this

:25:38. > :25:46.is. -- Stokes. Long from Commons. This is awkward for Motherwell and

:25:47. > :25:54.Samaras tucks it home. It is 2-2. Once again Motherwell have tossed

:25:55. > :25:58.away the 2-0 lead, as they did at St Mirren a fortnight ago and as they

:25:59. > :26:02.did at Easter Road against Hibernian. Motherwell having to show

:26:03. > :26:12.real character to throw away a two goal lead again and they have thrown

:26:13. > :26:20.away possession here. Gunnar Nielsen is the hero once again for

:26:21. > :26:25.Motherwell. He saves from Brown. He will be much happier with the

:26:26. > :26:32.second-half showing from his team, will be Celtic manager. Forster had

:26:33. > :26:37.to just scoop that away. Fraser Kerr tried to attack this at the near

:26:38. > :26:46.post. I do not think it hit anyone on the way through. Samaras will

:26:47. > :26:53.level things up. Commons has stalks in a wonderful area. Kris Commons.

:26:54. > :27:02.Terrific defending from Hamill. It really was. Sliding in to deny

:27:03. > :27:09.Celtic's top scorer. It is all Celtic right now. Griffiths is in.

:27:10. > :27:14.And Leigh Griffiths writes some headlines again this weekend but BR

:27:15. > :27:19.for the correct reasons! The Motherwell defence stopped, did not

:27:20. > :27:30.bargain on this, and Celtic have come from 2-0 down to lead 3-2.

:27:31. > :27:36.Celtic desperate to hit that 103 point mark. They need to win all

:27:37. > :27:42.their games to do so. Samaras goes down. Motherwell get it away.

:27:43. > :27:52.Samaras wants a decision here, he is wanting a penalty. Into stoppage

:27:53. > :27:57.time. Celtic scored in first-half stoppage time, Motherwell tried to

:27:58. > :28:07.do the same here. Sutton. A massive goal! A huge call for Motherwell! In

:28:08. > :28:11.the race for Europe, well onside. It was all about the run of games worth

:28:12. > :28:18.and Sutton bangs home his 21st of the season. If you lose gold with

:28:19. > :28:23.minutes to go it was heartbreaking for the lads because they put so

:28:24. > :28:27.much into it. I think it was a deserved point and one that fills me

:28:28. > :28:33.with so much pride about the group of players today. I thought

:28:34. > :28:39.defensively in the first half we were very poor and gifted Motherwell

:28:40. > :28:44.two goals. Our second-half performance was excellent. We

:28:45. > :28:50.switched off sort of last-minute. I can take a lot out of the

:28:51. > :28:54.second-half performance. Neil Lennon thought his players had gone on

:28:55. > :29:01.their summer holiday already. To an extent have Celtic switched off in

:29:02. > :29:07.places? It is understandable some players do that. And is right on top

:29:08. > :29:14.of them. Firstly it is a great game, let's not forget that, but Neil

:29:15. > :29:19.Lennon is the one who mentioned it. This all has come a long, long way

:29:20. > :29:23.and he has got underneath it, Ambrose, on that occasion and I do

:29:24. > :29:43.not think he reacts particularly well either. Van Dyck, who I huge

:29:44. > :29:52.fan of, what shame, kind of just jogged out of it. The players are

:29:53. > :30:02.better than that and don't usually defend like that. But exactly the

:30:03. > :30:10.right reaction, they came out, got the three goals. There is talk of a

:30:11. > :30:14.zero tolerance policy for discriminatory chants and so forth.

:30:15. > :30:24.But Leigh Griffiths remains a Celtic player. Are they right to stand by

:30:25. > :30:27.him? I don't want to be flippant. But he is a great player and has a

:30:28. > :30:37.great effect on Celtic when he comes on. He only needs half a yard and he

:30:38. > :30:46.makes it. A great sniffer of goals. Celtic have turned off a little bit,

:30:47. > :31:00.and again, this year is just not like them. -- this here. That is a

:31:01. > :31:06.great ball, do not forget. But I can understand the disappointment of

:31:07. > :31:10.Neil Lennon. They are not going easy on it, not taking it easy, and very

:31:11. > :31:18.important for teams around them that they give it in every single game.

:31:19. > :31:23.Kris Boyd was nominated for player of the year, scored fewer goals than

:31:24. > :31:30.John Sutton. Are Motherwell overlooked generally? Possibly there

:31:31. > :31:36.is a case. He has had a tremendous season. The consistency levels of

:31:37. > :31:41.Motherwell in the three years I have been back in Scottish football and

:31:42. > :31:47.tremendous. They are such an attacking team. I love the way they

:31:48. > :31:53.play. They always score goals and are really entertaining.

:31:54. > :31:57.St Johnstone and Dundee United squared up just one week after both

:31:58. > :32:36.had their place in the Scottish cup final.

:32:37. > :32:46.It will be Dundee United against Saint Johnstone on May 17. The

:32:47. > :32:53.Scottish Cup final live on sports scene. But who would get the upper

:32:54. > :33:01.hand in the dress rehearsal? A warmer welcome for the home side.

:33:02. > :33:09.One change from their semifinal, Chris Miller misses out, Paddy Craig

:33:10. > :33:13.returns. Dundee United, their cup final opponents, one change for

:33:14. > :33:41.them, Keith Watson replaces Marc Wilson. James Dunn. To Stephen

:33:42. > :33:52.Anderson. Lots of room. Tries the shot. Really tested the goalkeeper.

:33:53. > :34:02.Reacted well. Wetherspoon. A tricky one for the goalkeeper. Tips it over

:34:03. > :34:05.the top to be safe. United have drawn against Aberdeen and lost

:34:06. > :34:15.against Celtic in their last two league matches. They need to get

:34:16. > :34:28.back to winning ways. A chance for Gauld. Just was not expecting that.

:34:29. > :34:38.Gary Mackay Stephen got it, a decent effort in the end from Ryan Gauld.

:34:39. > :34:44.Wetherspoon. Nice play, goes past Watson, they did not look much in

:34:45. > :34:52.that, but a free kick has been given. Watson proclaiming his

:34:53. > :34:59.innocence. Not too much in it. Wetherspoon will take it. Anderson

:35:00. > :35:08.has got free, Stephen Anderson scores! His fine goal-scoring run

:35:09. > :35:14.continues. Keith Watson was marking him but got sucked into the middle.

:35:15. > :35:23.Clever play from the centre half. A simple header, 1-0. Robertson, nods

:35:24. > :35:37.it away from his team-mate, it is Stevie May, May, just missing the

:35:38. > :35:40.finish. Set himself up perfectly. That might fall into the path of

:35:41. > :35:47.Stevie May again, of the post-excavation

:35:48. > :36:01.a good snapshot. That is a great ball. Mackay Stephen. Breaks back to

:36:02. > :36:10.Ryan Gauld. Great ball from Paul Payton. Quick thinking from the

:36:11. > :36:14.keeper. Payton again. The unsung hero for Dundee United so often this

:36:15. > :36:22.season. That was brilliant, to get away from Eastern. Rules it back,

:36:23. > :36:33.and it needed a finish to complement the fine skill. Simply sublime, you

:36:34. > :36:41.could watch that all day. Saints again. Unbeaten in their last

:36:42. > :36:45.five. O Halloran. Wetherspoon, chants, comes off the inside of the

:36:46. > :37:05.post-excavation mark unlucky, David Wetherspoon. Great

:37:06. > :37:13.ball onto Maclean. Stevie May making a fantastic run through the middle,

:37:14. > :37:17.for 2-0, off target. Almost the perfect construction of a goal. He

:37:18. > :37:28.continued his run, let down by the finish. Mackay. Wetherspoon,

:37:29. > :37:36.influential, back to Mackay, all in, Watson, and he cannot deny

:37:37. > :37:41.Stevie May! His fifth goal against Dundee United this season.

:37:42. > :37:47.Wetherspoon on to Mackay, Keith Watson thought he had done enough,

:37:48. > :37:58.but it broke back to Stevie May. Saint Mirren are two ahead. -- St

:37:59. > :38:02.Johnstone. Robertson. Looking forward, Armstrong, the cross, that

:38:03. > :38:08.is a great all, Graham, McManus with the save. The striker did very

:38:09. > :38:14.little wrong. He got up well and headed it down with power. A good

:38:15. > :38:19.reaction save from Alan Manas. We deserved to win.

:38:20. > :38:24.We played extremely well. We got a good goal from a set piece. We hit

:38:25. > :38:30.the post twice. We controlled large part of the game. We are really

:38:31. > :38:33.pleased with the performance. Disappointed obviously. We came

:38:34. > :38:38.trying to get three points to keep our challenge on the teams above us

:38:39. > :38:46.alive. Have not got it so obviously disappointed. Did not start the game

:38:47. > :38:54.particularly well. These types of games, the first goal is important.

:38:55. > :39:03.26 goals for the season for Stevie May, a St Johnstone record. Should

:39:04. > :39:08.he be young player of the year? I think he will be. He has all the

:39:09. > :39:13.attributes to go far in the game. He is quick and his goals are not the

:39:14. > :39:17.only thing about him. His movement is tremendous, bringing others into

:39:18. > :39:27.play, working hard for the team, ace insulation this season. What worries

:39:28. > :39:34.me is whether he is quick enough to go on to another level. Look at

:39:35. > :39:40.this. He has not touched the ball, look at their vision, he is already

:39:41. > :39:45.looking up. And what a great pass. Look at that, in the middle, he has

:39:46. > :39:55.made up 50 yards. Absolutely phenomenal. There was a dip for part

:39:56. > :40:03.of the season but that is natural. He is very young. Another great

:40:04. > :40:09.move. Dave Mackay. And Stevie May gets across the defender, gets the

:40:10. > :40:15.break. But get people like Anderson, good at set pieces. I know St

:40:16. > :40:19.Johnstone supporters a bit of an apology. Wrote them off too easily

:40:20. > :40:24.for the Scottish cup. They have been absolutely superb.

:40:25. > :40:33.The songs seemed to bring out the best in Gary Mackay Steven.

:40:34. > :40:43.Sublime bit of skill. If you do this in any league on the planet you will

:40:44. > :40:51.get, wow! You could watch that all day long. He has got the final

:40:52. > :40:54.product. It is not just for effect. Somebody needs to phone brain

:40:55. > :41:07.Eastern a taxi to get back from that one! -- Brian Easton. A repeat of

:41:08. > :41:18.the League Cup final now. Inverness still hunting a European spot. But

:41:19. > :41:19.the last time these teams met in the Highland capital, it finished 4-3 to

:41:20. > :41:34.Aberdeen. This was the fifth meeting between

:41:35. > :41:37.the sides this season. Some industrious work from David Raven

:41:38. > :41:43.helped set Inverness on their way to a first site that goal. Watkins

:41:44. > :41:54.setting up Mackay, Langfield to the rescue. Russell Anderson with a talk

:41:55. > :41:58.on what can's shirt, Derek McInnes looking for his Aberdeen side to

:41:59. > :42:03.bounce back from Scottish cup semifinal disappointment. They

:42:04. > :42:10.almost did from Logan's free kick, courtesy of a header from Inverness

:42:11. > :42:19.defender, Josh Meekings, who was grateful for his own goalkeeper.

:42:20. > :42:22.Aberdeen missed Peter Pawlet in the League Cup final and his surging run

:42:23. > :42:29.gave them a great chance to take the lead. Niall McGinn, off the

:42:30. > :42:35.crossbar. Four goals in his last four games, but no joy here.

:42:36. > :42:39.Inverness are all about the passing game and John Hughes, but could they

:42:40. > :42:46.pass through Aberdeen defence? They could, but when they did, Langfield

:42:47. > :42:51.was there to deny Mackay again. A fantastic through ball from Doran,

:42:52. > :43:01.Langfield continuing his impressive form. It was almost Inverness who

:43:02. > :43:10.found a way through courtesy of a corner, Ross Draper rising highest.

:43:11. > :43:14.The ball rising over the bar. As the match wore on, Inverness continued

:43:15. > :43:18.their search for the three points which could be so valuable come the

:43:19. > :43:27.end of the season. Good work from Watkins continued, creating a

:43:28. > :43:35.chance, Billy Mackay was denied. Dave and drastic fingertip save by

:43:36. > :43:43.Langfield onto the crossbar. Come the end, Aberdeen and mustard last

:43:44. > :43:50.push to seal all three points. Willo Flood doing well to dig out the

:43:51. > :43:55.cross, but a combination of goalkeeper and defender denying

:43:56. > :43:59.Aberdeen once again as the match finished 0-0.

:44:00. > :44:05.Over the piece we had the better chances. We rode our luck but we

:44:06. > :44:11.still had good chances. Just a matter of taking them. We could have

:44:12. > :44:16.won this, but it is a point. Are we to Inverness. It shows you how far

:44:17. > :44:19.we have come that we have disappointment in the dressing

:44:20. > :44:24.room, I told them it is a decent point for us.

:44:25. > :44:34.Do you still see them finishing second? I do. A good point at a

:44:35. > :44:40.difficult venue. Finishing second recap off their best season in

:44:41. > :44:46.decades. Since of the passing game from Inverness, chasing a European

:44:47. > :44:51.spot. It is hard to predict anything Scottish all. You look at Aberdeen,

:44:52. > :44:54.Motherwell, year after year, absolutely phenomenal, they are

:44:55. > :44:58.having a phenomenal season. You would not complain if they got it.

:44:59. > :45:06.Arguably what has happened at the bottom is even more exciting. Not so

:45:07. > :45:10.for you, big man. That is what I am looking forward to, after the most

:45:11. > :45:16.important thing, phoning Derek Adams and apologising for winding him up!

:45:17. > :45:27.They look at the table, Aberdeen and 64 points. 25 behind Celtic. A fight

:45:28. > :45:30.for fourth place. The bottom six looks like being thrilling. Just

:45:31. > :45:38.three points in it between Hibernian and Ross County. It looks like going

:45:39. > :45:43.all the way to the wire. That is it. Time for us to split. Enjoy what

:45:44. > :45:45.remains of your Easter weekend. Good night.
