:00:15. > :00:23.Yes, good afternoon and welcome to the show. Today a mega- mix of

:00:24. > :00:27.League Cup semifinal, Premiership, championship, scores, reports,

:00:28. > :00:32.results and much more. Motherwell striker Scott McDonald, mixer pat

:00:33. > :00:40.alignment and author, broadcaster and sometimes DJ Stuart Constable

:00:41. > :00:43.all here to add to the vibe. Welcome, gents, let's start with

:00:44. > :00:51.some scores and one very important result. Here it is, it indeed that

:00:52. > :00:54.Fred cup semifinals, 0- two Aberdeen. Rangers play Celtic

:00:55. > :01:01.tomorrow. Extra appearance from me, in there.

:01:02. > :01:15.Let's look at the Scottish Premiership latest. Cali Thistle 1-0

:01:16. > :01:21.down at Kilmarnock. In the championship it is goalless between

:01:22. > :01:24.Ayr United and Queen of the South. Dunfermline athletic are one goal up

:01:25. > :01:30.on his journey and, in Falkirk are trailing Raith Rovers 2-1.

:01:31. > :01:38.Let's get to today's semifinal at Hampden in the League Cup. It was

:01:39. > :01:40.Morton from the championship against Aberdeen from the Premiership. Our

:01:41. > :01:43.Morton from the championship against reporter Rob Maclean was there with

:01:44. > :01:48.a couple of notables, one from either side. Don't be fooled by the

:01:49. > :01:54.scoreline because this was anything but comfortable for Aberdeen, who do

:01:55. > :01:58.take their place in the League Cup final on November 27 bank here at

:01:59. > :02:03.Hampden Park. They dominated from the start, Morton struggle to defend

:02:04. > :02:08.corner kicks. Jonny Hay is produced a safe, another header back off the

:02:09. > :02:14.crossbar. Aberdeen let their superior taste live, and Morton

:02:15. > :02:17.might have upset the odds, they had a chance after a mistake by Mark

:02:18. > :02:22.Reynolds -- Aberdeen let their superiority slide. Down at the other

:02:23. > :02:27.end, another header against the crossbar, Adam Rooney. Aberdeen were

:02:28. > :02:32.getting sloppy into the second half and may be the most difficult spell

:02:33. > :02:36.of the match ended with Aberdeen scoring, Adam Rooney with his eighth

:02:37. > :02:40.goal of the campaign. And when Kenny MacLean scored late on that was the

:02:41. > :02:45.icing on the cake for the Dons who will play Rangers or Celtic in the

:02:46. > :02:49.final. Alongside me a couple of legends watching their old teams in

:02:50. > :02:53.action this afternoon. Aberdeen's Willie Miller, what did you make of

:02:54. > :02:56.your old site this afternoon? I do not think it was one of their better

:02:57. > :03:01.performances, but the job has been done, they are into a cup final.

:03:02. > :03:06.When you play semifinals that's the most important thing. Although they

:03:07. > :03:10.started the game extremely well, I thought we would blow Morton away in

:03:11. > :03:17.the first 15 minutes, but didn't get a goal. Morton gradually got into

:03:18. > :03:20.the game, and I think they go away from this tie with a lot of credit.

:03:21. > :03:23.Fantastic performance from them. Second half I thought they actually

:03:24. > :03:29.dominated for spells. Right up until Adam Rooney, that predator, got his

:03:30. > :03:34.head on the end of an Andrew concert I'm header across goal. From then

:03:35. > :03:37.there was only going to be one winner. I think Derek McInnes will

:03:38. > :03:43.be more than delighted to be in the cup final. He'll know it was not one

:03:44. > :03:46.of their finest performances. Andy Ritchie is automating. Will your

:03:47. > :03:53.team be feeling sore against the goal? -- a Morton legend. Was there

:03:54. > :03:58.a hint of offside? It may very well have been offside, but I don't think

:03:59. > :04:02.they will go away with any great regrets. They did very well

:04:03. > :04:06.throughout the game, played very well. They had a plan and stuck to

:04:07. > :04:10.that plan. They gave Aberdeen problems. Congratulations to

:04:11. > :04:14.Aberdeen, being in the final. I think Morton were beaten today, but

:04:15. > :04:17.not compare him to be beaten and that's what quite a lot of people

:04:18. > :04:22.thought might happen at the start of the game. Fair play, they did well.

:04:23. > :04:25.They looked as though they were going to go and win the game at

:04:26. > :04:30.certain times but they just didn't have the power. A lot of plaudits

:04:31. > :04:33.will be heading Morton's away, but Aberdeen get the job done and they

:04:34. > :04:40.will be playing Rangers or Celtic back here at Hampden Park on

:04:41. > :04:46.November the 27th. STUDIO: They may regret that the referee did not spot

:04:47. > :04:49.offside, the first goal, Rooney? It was definitely offside, it was

:04:50. > :04:53.questionable at the time. Probably a tough call for the linesman but in

:04:54. > :04:56.big games you want those decisions to be right. In the end they will

:04:57. > :05:03.brew their chance, they had a fantastic chance first half -- they

:05:04. > :05:07.will rue. From then on in the game sort of changed. And once Aberdeen

:05:08. > :05:10.got that goal you just found it was only sort of going to be one winner

:05:11. > :05:16.from them because the gaps started to appear. Mixu, on the balance of

:05:17. > :05:21.play, Aberdeen deserved it, do you agree? They had more quality, the

:05:22. > :05:26.individual players, and also collectively. The way they started

:05:27. > :05:31.the match, they were on fire, really putting Morton under pressure, but I

:05:32. > :05:35.must also give credit to Morton. Jim Duffy organised the team and they

:05:36. > :05:39.were positive, with pace. Difficult to play against because they can hit

:05:40. > :05:44.you on the break. So I think Aberdeen are relieved. In the end

:05:45. > :05:47.obviously you need to put the ball in the net and Aberdeen did that and

:05:48. > :05:50.they had that extra quality. Aberdeen were relieved, and at the

:05:51. > :05:57.end of the day nobody cares how you get through to the final as long as

:05:58. > :06:00.you get there? Absolutely right. Seeing this from the perspective of

:06:01. > :06:03.Morton fans, if you were a young Seeing this from the perspective of

:06:04. > :06:07.teenager in the great days of Andy Ritchie, you are now something like

:06:08. > :06:12.63 years old. I think for Morton fans, they'll not just want this

:06:13. > :06:16.idea of they turned up and did well, didn't get humiliated, patted on the

:06:17. > :06:19.head. They wanted to win this game and I think they thought when the

:06:20. > :06:24.draw came out they had a chance to beat Aberdeen in a one-off 90

:06:25. > :06:28.minutes. It didn't work for them. Once-in-a-lifetime? I think a lot of

:06:29. > :06:31.Morton fans will be disappointed they did not take their chance.

:06:32. > :06:38.Let's take a bounce around the ground, two matches in the

:06:39. > :06:42.Premiership, we'll start with one of them in the Highlands, Inverness at

:06:43. > :06:50.home to Kilmarnock. Our man at the match is Martin Dowden. Good

:06:51. > :06:55.afternoon. Kilmarnock a leading 1-0. Coulibaly's penalty the difference

:06:56. > :07:01.after he was barged in the box. Inverness not at their best, but had

:07:02. > :07:06.chances with Pansy going close. Kilmarnock in control and as things

:07:07. > :07:12.stand in the top six tonight. And other Highland team are in Glasgow

:07:13. > :07:16.to face Partick Thistle. And a penalty is also the difference

:07:17. > :07:20.between the sides here. Partick Thistle have the one goal advantage.

:07:21. > :07:26.Ryan Dell adjudged to have fouled Chris Doolin inside the box, and up

:07:27. > :07:29.stepped Welsh to convert the penalty. Partick Thistle have been

:07:30. > :07:34.dominant, Ross County have been poor, they are on a run of six games

:07:35. > :07:38.without a win, four without a goal. Partick Thistle looking to end a run

:07:39. > :07:43.of eight games without a win and at the moment are on course to do so.

:07:44. > :07:46.Let's have a wee survey of the championship now. Four matches

:07:47. > :07:55.there, and we can start with Hibs away to Dunfermline. Similar tale, a

:07:56. > :07:59.penalty separates the sides here, on 21 minutes, and it certainly will

:08:00. > :08:02.not have improved Neil Lennon's opinion of Scottish referees. And

:08:03. > :08:07.you're pointing to the spot for a push on Ashcroft in the penalty box.

:08:08. > :08:12.Higginbotham and sending the goalkeeper the wrong way from the

:08:13. > :08:16.spot. Hibs looking to spark things in terms of goal-scoring, they have

:08:17. > :08:21.left Jason Cummins on the bench. Andrew shinny coming in for him. But

:08:22. > :08:26.only free kicks have opposed any sort of problem for the Dunfermline

:08:27. > :08:31.defence and Hibs find themselves trailing 1-0 early in the second

:08:32. > :08:34.half. Let's hear from Conor, watching Ayr United against Queen of

:08:35. > :08:43.the South. A goal is the difference between the sides here at Somerset

:08:44. > :08:46.Park. The first half could only be described as a snooze-fest. Only two

:08:47. > :08:55.shots on goal. But things are looking up, especially if you are a

:08:56. > :08:59.Ayr van. Falkirk were the in form team going in the champions, let's

:09:00. > :09:04.see how they are faring. Nine minutes into the second half, they

:09:05. > :09:07.are trailing 2-1 to Raith Rovers who made an explosive start, Ian

:09:08. > :09:11.Davidson giving them the lead after 17 minutes. John Baird took

:09:12. > :09:16.advantage of a defensive blunder to level things up. Mark Stuart, the

:09:17. > :09:18.one-time full Koke Row, scored a second goal for Raith Rovers on 37

:09:19. > :09:27.minutes with a fine header. Another championship match involves

:09:28. > :09:33.Dundee United and Dumbarton, Paul Mitchell is watching this one.

:09:34. > :09:36.Indeed it is 0-0 but it's been a decent 0-0. Four excellent saves,

:09:37. > :09:42.two from either goalkeeper brought this came to light. Dundee United

:09:43. > :09:44.wearing vivid pink in support of the breast Cancer awareness charity,

:09:45. > :09:50.certainly looking bright enough. Dumbarton have played really well.

:09:51. > :09:54.No goals there, not many goals around the country to be fair.

:09:55. > :09:59.Gents, we are watching pictures coming in from the two Premiership

:10:00. > :10:08.matches, 1-0 in both, and penalties. What about the Kilmarnock one?

:10:09. > :10:12.Stonewall penalty. He just barges into Coulibaly, and there was no

:10:13. > :10:19.argument. In the end Coulibaly stuck it away. I think the keeper will

:10:20. > :10:25.feel he possibly should have saved it, but it is 1-0. We will return to

:10:26. > :10:28.the chat shortly, there has been a goal at Tannadice Park. Looks like

:10:29. > :10:33.an own goal from a corner swung in from the side. Gregor Buchanan beat

:10:34. > :10:36.his goalkeeper beautifully, it has to be said, but I don't think Alan

:10:37. > :10:41.Martin will see the funny side of it. Dundee United make the

:10:42. > :10:46.breakthrough and lead 1-0. As soon as I say goals are thin on the

:10:47. > :10:49.ground, they start to trickle in. Mixu, Partick Thistle up against

:10:50. > :10:55.Ross County, another penalty, any doubt about that? It was a clear

:10:56. > :11:03.Ross County, another penalty, any penalty. Finished well, down the

:11:04. > :11:07.middle. Good strike. The first half was mainly Partick Thistle

:11:08. > :11:11.dominating. It is quite amazing that Ross County, who played so well last

:11:12. > :11:16.season, they hadn't scored, they score a goal now, Jim McIntyre must

:11:17. > :11:21.be scratching his head about getting back into this game. They haven't

:11:22. > :11:26.created in this match yet. Obviously you need that one chance to get back

:11:27. > :11:29.into the game. And go from there. So far it has been Partick Thistle

:11:30. > :11:38.dominating. Let's talk about the championship. A league you for

:11:39. > :11:44.famously called as hard to get out of as Alcatraz. It looks like Hibs

:11:45. > :11:48.were coasting to the title, now it is one from four. Now Alan Stubbs is

:11:49. > :11:52.looking for his own job back, isn't he? It's a fascinating league. Of

:11:53. > :11:56.course all the money and resources tends to be poured into the

:11:57. > :12:03.Premiership in Scotland. But this is a leap that I think has always got

:12:04. > :12:07.little twist and turns going to it. The team you rule out near the top

:12:08. > :12:10.is often the one that starts to harm people, Raith Rovers four example

:12:11. > :12:14.are a team that can hurt you. Falkirk. There are always teams

:12:15. > :12:18.around there that make the favourites look like they are

:12:19. > :12:23.wearing welly boots. Currently Hibs are not looking like a team that are

:12:24. > :12:27.going to coast this league by any means. Sounds like a case of self

:12:28. > :12:32.harm for Falkirk at the moment, news from this match? The Falkirk manager

:12:33. > :12:35.has just been sent to the stands. An interesting moment in the 55th

:12:36. > :12:41.minute because Kyle Benedictus seemed to take out Craig. The

:12:42. > :12:45.referee pulled the game back and looked Benedictus for the

:12:46. > :12:48.infringement. He went over to have a word with Gary Lockerbie Raith

:12:49. > :12:55.Roeder 's manager, I think he was protesting the yellow card. In any

:12:56. > :12:59.case while they were in conversation, the other manager went

:13:00. > :13:05.over and put his tuppence worth in. And as he walked away, he had

:13:06. > :13:09.another word with him, and Barry could just turned round and sent

:13:10. > :13:14.Peter Huston to the stands for some words that may have been spoken in

:13:15. > :13:19.the direction of the referee. So it is 2-1 as far as the score is

:13:20. > :13:22.concerned, to Raith Rovers. Time for some brief respite from Scottish

:13:23. > :13:25.football and we will turn our attention to the lunchtime match in

:13:26. > :13:30.the English Premier League. Bournemouth, fresh from a thrashing

:13:31. > :13:35.of Hull last weekend, at home to the only unbeaten side in the league,

:13:36. > :13:40.Tottenham Hotspur. 0-0 but that does not even begin to tell the tale of

:13:41. > :13:44.what was a hugely entertaining game right from the off in the very early

:13:45. > :13:49.moments, Charlie Daniels for Bournemouth put a great save from

:13:50. > :13:54.Hugo Lloris. The Boruc showed up and hit the crossbar. Not much later

:13:55. > :13:59.Erik Lamela hit the ball from far at the other end with a curling drive.

:14:00. > :14:03.Erik Lamela got a yellow card, might well have had a second. Tottenham

:14:04. > :14:06.substitute Moussa Sissoko certainly should have had a red card for what

:14:07. > :14:10.was clearly an elbow into the face of Harry Arter late in the game. I

:14:11. > :14:18.suspect he will retrospectively get a ban. In the end it had everything

:14:19. > :14:23.except a goal. And Spurs remain unbeaten, do you fancy them for the

:14:24. > :14:27.title? I think they are one of a couple, really. It's interesting, if

:14:28. > :14:32.they had won today they would have gone top of the league, first time

:14:33. > :14:36.in over a year. Wasn't to be. I still call it Dean Court down at

:14:37. > :14:39.Bournemouth, I had a little spell there as a youngster. Difficult

:14:40. > :14:44.place to go and I don't think they'll be the first to drop points,

:14:45. > :14:49.there. What do you think of their chance this season, Mixu? I think

:14:50. > :14:53.they will be there or thereabouts. Harry Kane has been a big loss for

:14:54. > :14:58.them recently but they have managed well. I'm surprised it finished 0-0,

:14:59. > :15:01.with two attacking sides that pass the ball well, and create

:15:02. > :15:06.opportunities for the offence of guys. So there must have been some

:15:07. > :15:10.excellent defending. Let's take another bounce around the Scottish

:15:11. > :15:13.matches under way, starting at Inverness, up against Kilmarnock,

:15:14. > :15:17.the visitors still on top? They are, Inverness, up against Kilmarnock,

:15:18. > :15:22.it is still 1-0. It was a bright start from the visitors and they

:15:23. > :15:27.were rewarded. McKinsey's cross into the box angling towards Coulibaly.

:15:28. > :15:31.Barry McKay barged the striker to the ground. Temp are picked his spot

:15:32. > :15:38.and just beat the keeper who got a touch -- Coulibaly picked his spot.

:15:39. > :15:43.Later you thought Coulibaly would score a second but the ball went

:15:44. > :15:47.straight at the goalkeeper. A chance was gone. Inverness did work their

:15:48. > :15:50.way back into it with some efforts, but they have lacked a spark. There

:15:51. > :15:54.is a chance for Inverness now, driven to goal, but blocked away.

:15:55. > :15:59.They have lacked spark going forward today for long spells. Tyson looked

:16:00. > :16:03.like he could tap home earlier but he got ahead of the ball. Visitors

:16:04. > :16:07.still look a threat when they come forward. Doran has come on for Ross

:16:08. > :16:13.Draper but nothing has really happened. Kilmarnock are looking for

:16:14. > :16:18.back-to-back wins, still very much in control. Back to the championship

:16:19. > :16:23.for us and back to East End Park Scott Bailey has news of a goal? And

:16:24. > :16:27.its Hibs who have finally managed to get themselves on the scoresheet

:16:28. > :16:30.this afternoon. James Keating 's has their goal, coming in from the

:16:31. > :16:37.right-hand and unleashing a left foot drive. It looked as though it

:16:38. > :16:41.took a decisive deflection. That will not worry Hibs, they've been

:16:42. > :16:45.struggling to find the target in recent weeks, just three goals in

:16:46. > :16:48.their five matches prior to this. Top scorer Jason Cummings, top

:16:49. > :16:53.marksman in the championship, starting on the bench this afternoon

:16:54. > :16:58.as Neil Lennon shook things up. But it's been a case of two fast two

:16:59. > :17:02.furious for him during long spells of this game. Although thankfully

:17:03. > :17:05.the match has been a lot more entertaining than the movie of that

:17:06. > :17:12.name was. Hibs with attempts from free kicks as their main efforts on

:17:13. > :17:15.goal in a frustrating first. Dunfermline, who have struggled for

:17:16. > :17:19.results themselves recently, pressed hard and drove into every challenge,

:17:20. > :17:24.didn't let them settle into the ball, and managed to take the lead

:17:25. > :17:31.on 21 minutes as a controversial penalty, the referee spotting a push

:17:32. > :17:37.on the back of Ashcroft as he contested a cross. Higginbotham

:17:38. > :17:40.converted the penalty. Hibs really lost the plot and lost their

:17:41. > :17:43.concentration in the wake of the complaints about that penalty, they

:17:44. > :17:48.were torn apart, it really could have been 2-0 at that point, but

:17:49. > :17:52.there was a fine save in the Hibs goal to keep them in the game.

:17:53. > :17:59.Keating 's has brought them right back into it after 56 minutes. Well

:18:00. > :18:06.accredited as an own goal, there, Mixu. Hibs having struggled in

:18:07. > :18:12.recent weeks, Ayew surprised they are wading through treacle at the

:18:13. > :18:17.top? It's been a tricky spell. But maybe today they'll get a result and

:18:18. > :18:23.go on. I feel that during the course of the season they will run away

:18:24. > :18:27.with the championship. Do you agree with Mixu? I think it's going to be

:18:28. > :18:33.a lot tighter now that we've seen Dundee United winning today as well.

:18:34. > :18:37.If Hibs don't get four points, that brings them closer as well. The

:18:38. > :18:42.championship is just as tight as the SPF fell. It is too tight to predict

:18:43. > :18:46.what will happen next. Some eyebrows were raised when Cummings was not on

:18:47. > :18:50.the team sheet. Were you surprised? A little bit but obviously he's

:18:51. > :18:53.still young and learning. It's probably a little bit of a test for

:18:54. > :18:57.him and Neal probably wants to see the type of reaction that he can

:18:58. > :19:02.get. No doubt he'll have a part to play and we might just see that

:19:03. > :19:08.name, crossed the scoresheet. Next up, Alistair Lamb and watching

:19:09. > :19:12.Partick Thistle against Ross County in the Premiership, any significant

:19:13. > :19:15.updates? No addition to the scoreline, still 1-0. Partick

:19:16. > :19:20.Thistle still looking for their first win since the opening day of

:19:21. > :19:22.the season, a run that hasn't prevented Alan Archibald being

:19:23. > :19:26.sought after by Shrewsbury Town during the week. Alan Archibald

:19:27. > :19:30.insists he's got unfinished business here. And certainly he'll be looking

:19:31. > :19:35.to get the monkey off the back and end the eight-game winless run. They

:19:36. > :19:39.are on course to do it and there is nothing Ross County have done that

:19:40. > :19:43.seems to threaten them. But Partick Thistle fans have seen this movie

:19:44. > :19:47.too often to start getting too complacent about that. They lead by

:19:48. > :19:51.a penalty which was scored in the first half by Sean Welsh after Chris

:19:52. > :19:54.Doolin was fouled by Ryan Dell. They've had a couple of under

:19:55. > :19:59.chances, but just a few moments ago Craig Curran hit the post at the

:20:00. > :20:03.other end. Threatening for the first time in the match. It is too close

:20:04. > :20:06.to call at the moment but Partick Thistle are certainly in the

:20:07. > :20:11.ascendancy. Interesting point Alistair raises, Alan Archibald,

:20:12. > :20:15.even though his team are struggling, only one win in the league before

:20:16. > :20:19.today, and yet Alan Archibald is a wanted man. Yeah, I think people

:20:20. > :20:23.have noticed that on very limited resources he's done a pretty good

:20:24. > :20:28.job, there. And not the cheering of managers in the league, the leaks

:20:29. > :20:34.collectively down south mean there are always opportunities. I was

:20:35. > :20:38.surprised he did not take the money. That being said, I think most

:20:39. > :20:41.Partick Thistle fans, he's very popular with them and whatever, and

:20:42. > :20:46.they are doing well today. Ross County are in a very, very, very

:20:47. > :20:49.sticky period in the club's history. They lost William Boyce to a

:20:50. > :20:54.long-term injury earlier in the season. That means now that a guy

:20:55. > :20:57.that was guaranteed to get them to or three goals in a month is not

:20:58. > :21:04.there. And that's very difficult to replace. So it's a tough old world

:21:05. > :21:08.for them. One thing you would say about Partick Thistle, I notice

:21:09. > :21:12.young Brian Edwards again having a decent game there, it's really good

:21:13. > :21:18.to see a good Australian footballer back in the divisions again, we

:21:19. > :21:25.don't have enough of them! I was watching your face thinking, where

:21:26. > :21:28.is he going with this? Heading to Somerset Park, airy United against

:21:29. > :21:32.Queen of the South in the championship, the honest men still

:21:33. > :21:35.ahead? They are. Not quite as warm as Australia here but certainly

:21:36. > :21:41.hotting up if you are an air United fan. A long-range effort from care

:21:42. > :21:49.need the difference here. One of the players was just taken out. But no

:21:50. > :21:51.foul, says the referee. Queens had dominated the first half with the

:21:52. > :21:56.bulk of possession, two shots on target, the only two shots of the

:21:57. > :22:03.half it has to be said. Stephen Dobbie forcing a save from Fleming.

:22:04. > :22:06.The goalkeeper sprang into life a moment later, blocking with his

:22:07. > :22:10.feet. Airy United trying to stamp their authority on this one, but

:22:11. > :22:17.they looked dangerous on the break they looked dangerous on the break

:22:18. > :22:22.-- Ayr. John Barnes is watching Falkirk against greater overs. John,

:22:23. > :22:25.anything further to add to the managerial misbehaviour? Mr Houston

:22:26. > :22:29.is now behaving himself in the stands, I can tell you that. It was

:22:30. > :22:32.a blistering start from Raith Rovers, opening couple of minutes. I

:22:33. > :22:37.could have gone in front with an effort from Mark Stuart. It gone

:22:38. > :22:40.beyond Maracana crack. Great save from Rogers who turned the ball

:22:41. > :22:50.around the post. From the resulting corner, there was a fine header from

:22:51. > :22:54.Mvoto, and Rogers tipped it over the crossbar. Raith Rovers got the

:22:55. > :23:00.breakthrough on 70 minutes, Ian Davies with a left foot shot -- Ian

:23:01. > :23:04.Davidson. But within 60 seconds, Falkirk were back level, John Baird

:23:05. > :23:08.taking advantage of a misunderstanding in the Raith

:23:09. > :23:11.defence, getting in between the goalkeeper and Mvoto and slotting

:23:12. > :23:15.the ball home. Mark Kerr really should have put Falkirk in front.

:23:16. > :23:20.Set of the season as far as I'm concerned. Paul McCue with a shot,

:23:21. > :23:27.parried by the goalkeeper, he just passed it into the path of Kerr,

:23:28. > :23:31.goal at his mercy and he somehow screwed his shot wide of the target.

:23:32. > :23:34.It was to prove costly because Mark Stuart, eight minutes before the

:23:35. > :23:45.interval, put breakthrough furs to- one in front -- put Raith Rovers 2-1

:23:46. > :23:51.in front -- Mark Stewart. Houston sent to the stand, introduced all

:23:52. > :23:56.three substitutes. A shot blocked by Benedictus, and it remains to - one.

:23:57. > :24:00.And off we go to Tannadice Park, Dundee United against Barton, time

:24:01. > :24:05.to hear from Paul. And timing is everything. Dundee United go to

:24:06. > :24:22.goals ahead, again a corner causing the problem. Scoring from point

:24:23. > :24:26.blank range, Edjenguele. The first goal was an own goal coming after 52

:24:27. > :24:36.minutes. As I say, Dundee United have gone two goals up. A little

:24:37. > :24:39.harsh on Dumbarton. They forced two good saves from Cammy Bell in the

:24:40. > :24:44.first half. He made a great diving save to turn the ball away from

:24:45. > :24:48.Robert Thompson. But in terms of possession Dundee United certainly

:24:49. > :24:51.deserving their lead. Getting a wee bit exciting in the championship

:24:52. > :24:55.this afternoon. Mild-mannered Peter Houston, wouldn't save you to a

:24:56. > :25:01.goose, sent to the stands. You know what it's down like on the

:25:02. > :25:05.touchline. I'm surprised, what a gentleman, normally behaves well.

:25:06. > :25:11.That shows the pressure gets to you. But no, it is a very tight league,

:25:12. > :25:15.and every point is precious. Obviously they are getting beaten

:25:16. > :25:20.today so they will be heated. The moment going into this, the real in

:25:21. > :25:25.form team in the championship. Certainly. They have caught up to

:25:26. > :25:28.the leaders, Queen of the South and Hibs, and he will be disappointed at

:25:29. > :25:31.the minute, losing in this game. He'll feel there's a real chance to

:25:32. > :25:35.get closer to these other two teams as well. As we've seen, there's been

:25:36. > :25:42.so many different results at the moment. So it's going to be really

:25:43. > :25:46.tight up there. Ayr, looks like they could hold on for a win, that would

:25:47. > :25:50.be incredible, one defeat in seven. Yes, and one other thing I've

:25:51. > :25:55.noticed as well, we are starting to see real inconsistency about barging

:25:56. > :26:01.in the box and penalties given or not given. You are criticising the

:26:02. > :26:05.referees! Hold on. There have been a number of incidents in the

:26:06. > :26:09.championship, I'm defending Peter Houston, not a man that normally

:26:10. > :26:13.swear that people. And I do think that is an inconsistency of this

:26:14. > :26:17.season. I've now got to the stage where I don't even understand the

:26:18. > :26:19.rules as it applies to that, having seen Falkirk concede three penalties

:26:20. > :26:24.inside 20 minutes in one game. Now seen Falkirk concede three penalties

:26:25. > :26:26.we are in a situation where there are incidents where clearly

:26:27. > :26:32.penalties are given in one game and not the next. It must be infuriating

:26:33. > :26:37.if you are a manager. Can you elucidate the rules on barging and

:26:38. > :26:40.holding and pushing in the box, are they as conjugated as Stuart

:26:41. > :26:44.maintains? They really are, and it depends on your interpretation. Each

:26:45. > :26:50.individual referee will have their own look on it. And that's really

:26:51. > :26:53.causing a problem, not just in our league but all the way across the

:26:54. > :26:59.leagues in Europe. Obviously different cultures allow you to do

:27:00. > :27:03.certain things in the box and different cultures a little bit

:27:04. > :27:08.less. Something happen in the box at East End Park, a penalty for Hibs?

:27:09. > :27:12.Yes, we had a penalty for Dunfermline in the first half which

:27:13. > :27:17.was a little controversial to say the least, certainly Neil Lennon

:27:18. > :27:20.thought so. No doubt about this one. Hibs had levelled a few moments ago,

:27:21. > :27:23.now they have the opportunity to go in front from the spot. Lee Ashcroft

:27:24. > :27:27.in the box, push into the back of in front from the spot. Lee Ashcroft

:27:28. > :27:31.Andrew Scheer knee as he bore in on goal, only a yellow card for

:27:32. > :27:37.Ashcroft. Chancellor Grant Holt to put Hibs into the lead, he sends the

:27:38. > :27:41.goalkeeper the wrong way and batters it into the back of the net in front

:27:42. > :27:46.of, well, a packed stand, absolutely packed with Hibs supporters, and he

:27:47. > :27:50.goes off to celebrate. Having been a goal down, the league leaders are

:27:51. > :27:57.leading at Dunfermline 2-1. Another goal, let's hear from John Barnes.

:27:58. > :28:04.It is for the Rovers, Raith Rovers are now 3-1 in front. Declan McManus

:28:05. > :28:08.was the man on the scoresheet. It was Mark Stuart with a low-cut back

:28:09. > :28:12.and there was McManus, seven yards out, slotting it into the back of

:28:13. > :28:18.the net. Four away games without a win, maybe going to change this

:28:19. > :28:24.afternoon, 3-1. And let's head to Firhill and hear from Alistair

:28:25. > :28:26.Lambert, an incident? Yes, Liam Linsey has been down in his own six

:28:27. > :28:30.yard area, he is surrounded by Linsey has been down in his own six

:28:31. > :28:34.medics at the moment. He was clattered into really by his

:28:35. > :28:39.goalkeeper, Ryan Scully, as the ball came into the penalty area. He has

:28:40. > :28:44.obviously come off worse in that particular collision. And he's been

:28:45. > :28:49.down for several minutes. There are six or seven medical people

:28:50. > :28:53.surrounding him, and they are trying to get him onto the stretcher as I

:28:54. > :28:59.speak. But it's not looking great for Liam Linsey. Obviously we have

:29:00. > :29:03.do hope it's not as serious as it looks as a result of the number of

:29:04. > :29:07.people looking after him. But certainly his game here is finished

:29:08. > :29:09.and Partick Thistle will be forced into a substitution. They are still

:29:10. > :29:17.leading 1-0. I am sure Alister Walker was updated

:29:18. > :29:22.to the afternoon. A fun and games continue over the afternoon. Listen

:29:23. > :29:26.in tomorrow and you will be treated to live commentary of the second

:29:27. > :29:31.League Cup semifinals between Rangers and Celtic. We will talk

:29:32. > :29:37.about that later. Before that, there is a derby of the Tayside rioted. St

:29:38. > :29:43.Johnstone and Dundee meeting. So, gents, let's consider this one. Your

:29:44. > :29:51.beloved Saints. Yes, we lost at home to Kilmarnock,

:29:52. > :29:54.who St Johnstone pretty much bossed throughout the game, and that was

:29:55. > :29:59.difficult to take, because there is a presumption among St Johnstone

:30:00. > :30:03.fans that we are not nearly as good with the bottom six teams, but I

:30:04. > :30:07.think... Do you have a goal that two no, that

:30:08. > :30:14.was the one from that game. I am trying to put it out of my mind and

:30:15. > :30:17.forget it! The point is that, if Saint Johnstone were to win their

:30:18. > :30:22.bottom six games as well as they seem to do against the bigger teams,

:30:23. > :30:26.there would be a more consistent team across the season. But going

:30:27. > :30:30.into a derby against Dundee, it matters not a last two Dundee fans.

:30:31. > :30:35.They don't like St Johnstone, but they don't consider us to be really

:30:36. > :30:38.they're kind of rival team. That is Dundee Utd. St Johnstone have always

:30:39. > :30:41.seen Dundee of the team they most want to beat, so the players are

:30:42. > :30:46.under no doubt that this one has a bit of edge to it. So we will have

:30:47. > :30:51.to see. I am unsurprisingly going for a home win.

:30:52. > :30:54.Of course you are! He is going for a home win. We're going to Falkirk

:30:55. > :30:57.right now. John Barnes, another gold?

:30:58. > :31:00.Yes, a five goal thriller so far. Lee Miller has come on as a

:31:01. > :31:04.substitute and popped up to score the second of the afternoon for the

:31:05. > :31:08.bounce. Good ball in from the right-hand side. Positive header

:31:09. > :31:12.into the back of the net from six yards out. It is now 3-2 to rate

:31:13. > :31:15.Rovers. And plenty of life in the match at

:31:16. > :31:19.Tannadice as well, Dundee against Bolton.

:31:20. > :31:25.Another gold? Dumbarton have pulled back another goal. Thompson

:31:26. > :31:29.converted, and ran into Cammy Bell as he managed to get the ball. We

:31:30. > :31:34.look to be assisted to see if the offside flag would go up, and the

:31:35. > :31:38.assistant from be dropped the flag and picked it up and ran towards the

:31:39. > :31:41.halfway line. It looked a touch of sight, but Dumbarton have got one

:31:42. > :31:44.back. 2-1 to Dundee United here. Thank you

:31:45. > :31:51.Ray much. Back to tomorrow's games. I think the action might give it

:31:52. > :31:54.more to Stuart's liking. Dundee's most recent match, a 2-0 defeat to

:31:55. > :31:59.Hearts. Yes, they have lost their last four.

:32:00. > :32:05.Something is really got to give in this game. But in terms of Dundee at

:32:06. > :32:13.the moment, they are lacking a cutting edge up top. He looks like

:32:14. > :32:16.he needs a bit of support up there at the moment as well. Goals are not

:32:17. > :32:19.aplenty in the Dundee side. If they are going to change their fortunes,

:32:20. > :32:24.they will have to find them from somewhere. At the start of the

:32:25. > :32:25.season, I was full of hope for Dundee.

:32:26. > :32:29.I thought this could be a season where they claim of the table, but

:32:30. > :32:32.it has kind of gunpowder shaped? Yes, they lost a very influential

:32:33. > :32:40.players over the summer. With attacking. And looking back, he is a

:32:41. > :32:44.goal-scorer, but he is straightaway ready for the Premier League, and I

:32:45. > :32:48.have got a feeling that he will grow and develop and he will score goals

:32:49. > :32:53.for Dundee. It has been a sticky start, because of these reasons. The

:32:54. > :33:02.season will tell us whether they improve. They have still got

:33:03. > :33:06.chances. The league is so tight, one loss could take you straight back to

:33:07. > :33:09.the back of the pack, so a very important match.

:33:10. > :33:15.Stop smiling! Last season, Dundee's problem was too many draws. Those

:33:16. > :33:21.draws have just turned into defeats? Yes, I think Mixu makes the clear

:33:22. > :33:24.point, he knows that the loss of Stewart, in particular, but also

:33:25. > :33:28.Hemmings, in terms of goals, that they were two big losses were

:33:29. > :33:31.Dundee, and with all the best respect to the players that have

:33:32. > :33:34.come in, they were never going to hit the ground running, and what

:33:35. > :33:41.they have lost has kind of send them backwards again. I do not totally

:33:42. > :33:45.agree with Scott's analysis of St Johnstone and what he would consider

:33:46. > :33:52.to be patchy. I think because he is from Sydney, he does not like Perth!

:33:53. > :33:57.So, Dundee struggling for goals. Not so, Raith Rovers. They have scored

:33:58. > :34:03.another this afternoon. John Barnes, 4-2 against Falkirk?

:34:04. > :34:04.Yes, the 44 Mark Stewart. One time Falkirk hero, and a Falkirk hero

:34:05. > :34:06.Yes, the 44 Mark Stewart. One time this afternoon, because he has made

:34:07. > :34:14.it 4-2. -- a Raith hero. He went this afternoon, because he has made

:34:15. > :34:22.round the goalkeeper and slotted home. It is now 4-2 after 17 nine --

:34:23. > :34:29.79 minutes. Now let's had to Inverness.

:34:30. > :34:33.Cecil against film on 1-0? No, that is still the score.

:34:34. > :34:37.Gilmartin acknowledges very well indeed. Similar to last week St

:34:38. > :34:41.Johnstone, when they won 1-0, though there seems to be a bit more threat

:34:42. > :34:47.going forward. Inverness struggling to create anything at all. Richie

:34:48. > :34:53.Foran has used three subs. But it has had very little impact at all

:34:54. > :34:57.with the long-range efforts. Kilmarnock cruising to the three

:34:58. > :35:01.points as things stand. Let's had to Firhill. The match has

:35:02. > :35:04.resumed there. Artic Bissell against Ross County. Alistair. -- Partick

:35:05. > :35:12.vessel. They had a player stretchered off,

:35:13. > :35:20.and he has received treatment on the pitch. Gordon finds himself in the

:35:21. > :35:23.neutral position of playing at the left-hand side of a three-man

:35:24. > :35:30.central defence with Archibald, and the health of Liam Linsey will

:35:31. > :35:35.hopefully not disrupt them too much. They have been dominant in this

:35:36. > :35:40.match. The only goal they have to show for it, as I mentioned, is the

:35:41. > :35:44.penalty of Sean Welsh, coming midway through the first half. County have

:35:45. > :35:50.not been impressive at all. They are trying to end a six-game winless

:35:51. > :35:53.run. They have not scored, as mentioned, in 4.5 games. Not a good

:35:54. > :35:58.record. They haven't particularly looked like scoring, though Craig

:35:59. > :36:01.Curran did hit the post in their one meaningful attack. As Bissell fans

:36:02. > :36:07.know all too well, it is not over until it is over. -- Thistle fans.

:36:08. > :36:12.So there is problem with slightly more of the match to play because of

:36:13. > :36:16.that. There might be nine minutes or so. It remains 1- 02 Partick

:36:17. > :36:23.Thistle. Details now of Dunfermline against

:36:24. > :36:28.Hibernian. 1-0 last time we talked to Scott. Has that changed two no,

:36:29. > :36:34.it is actually 2-1 to head from the penalty area.

:36:35. > :36:38.Bat Hibernian. It is still 2-1 to Hibernian. If you are closing in on

:36:39. > :36:42.their first win in six games in total, five in the league, and if

:36:43. > :36:44.they manage to hold onto the advantage, they could move three

:36:45. > :36:49.points clear at the top of the table. The Dunfermline are pressing

:36:50. > :36:53.and trying to find a way back into the game. They could have been 2-0

:36:54. > :37:00.before Hibs really got going in attacking sense. A penalty saw them

:37:01. > :37:04.to believe in 22 minutes, Alan Tate in both taking that. -- Calumet

:37:05. > :37:15.Higginbottom. A good save from the goalkeeper to

:37:16. > :37:18.deny a free kick. They clipped over the crossbar, and the pressure

:37:19. > :37:23.eventually paying off, with a little bit of good fortune with that

:37:24. > :37:32.Keating shot deflected in by whether Byrne, and they were feeling

:37:33. > :37:37.aggrieved by refereeing decisions. They got the penalty, a push by Lee

:37:38. > :37:42.Ashcroft into the back of Andrew Shinnie, drafted in to replace Jason

:37:43. > :37:48.in the starting line-up this afternoon, and a competent job from

:37:49. > :37:51.the penalty spot by Holt, that has Hibernian in front and defending

:37:52. > :37:56.with that three-man backline they are employing this afternoon, and

:37:57. > :38:00.creating some chances. Dunfermline looking to salvage something from

:38:01. > :38:05.the game and a situation where they have won just once in eight and a

:38:06. > :38:12.little more league games. A fine drive coming in there. Fingered in

:38:13. > :38:16.by the goalkeeper, great shot from Lewis Stevenson, but still 2-1 to

:38:17. > :38:20.Hibernian. So, as I said, still square at

:38:21. > :38:24.Eastville. Sorry, Scott. He enjoyed that,

:38:25. > :38:29.didn't he! I am just testing. Let's test Connie McLaughlin's metal now

:38:30. > :38:34.in United versus Queen of the South. Yes, still Ayr United one, Queen of

:38:35. > :38:41.the South zero. Daria Parkinson should have made it two for air. He

:38:42. > :38:45.could have put this to bed, but took too long and headed over the bar not

:38:46. > :38:53.when you want to remember, much to the disappointment of the home fans

:38:54. > :38:58.here at Somerset Park. A tight angle, that the keeper managed to

:38:59. > :39:00.save a goal with ease. Stephen Dalby tried his luck, but that shot too

:39:01. > :39:06.was saved. Ayr United still leading tried his luck, but that shot too

:39:07. > :39:07.this one. It is a tight one, and I would not be putting my money on

:39:08. > :39:16.anyone just yet. 1-0 to Ayr let me put my reputation online

:39:17. > :39:18.here. John Barnes, Falkirk and Raith

:39:19. > :39:25.Rovers, still 4-2? It is indeed. Mark Stewart is coming

:39:26. > :39:29.off. Eight hero for Raith Rovers, to be replaced by Scott Roberts, to a

:39:30. > :39:40.standing ovation from the visiting Raith Rovers fans. 4373, the

:39:41. > :39:43.attendance inside this ground, not a bad attendance for this championship

:39:44. > :39:46.fixture. Raith Rovers still leading by 4-2.

:39:47. > :39:49.We all head to Paul Mitchell from well. Dundee United against

:39:50. > :39:52.Dumbarton at Tannadice. An update well. Dundee United against

:39:53. > :39:56.from the man himself. Dundee United leading by 2-1. An own

:39:57. > :40:04.goal from Mark Doherty getting beat scoring started in 52 minutes. After

:40:05. > :40:08.that, what a great little strike. You might think that is obvious, but

:40:09. > :40:12.in the first half, very similar position, Gary Fleming had a chance

:40:13. > :40:17.at three yards out. Cammy Bell got down to save. So taken together,

:40:18. > :40:22.they made no mistake. A foot right through the ball, making it 2-1 to

:40:23. > :40:26.Dundee. To their credit, Dumbarton got into the game after 73 minutes.

:40:27. > :40:31.The cross looked offside, but the assistant referee was happy with

:40:32. > :40:35.that. Dundee have come closest through Nick Mandeville. Dumbarton

:40:36. > :40:39.now trying to give everything to get back into this. They have not won

:40:40. > :40:43.away from home since December 20 15. At the moment, that run looks like

:40:44. > :40:51.it will continue. So, all square there. Hibs ahead of

:40:52. > :40:55.Queen of the South. They are 1-0 down at Ayr United, so that would be

:40:56. > :40:58.a fourth match without a win for them after an incredibly hot start

:40:59. > :41:01.to the season. Yes, and that surprises me a little

:41:02. > :41:05.bit. I had this feeling about them that this would keep going,

:41:06. > :41:10.certainly, until the New Year. But this division, we will be talking

:41:11. > :41:14.about this, so I don't think we should think about anybody

:41:15. > :41:16.absolutely dominating this division. I don't think that Queen of the

:41:17. > :41:21.South have the capacity to hurt people, and I think that they have

:41:22. > :41:28.the best natural goal-scorer in the division and Stephen Dobbie.

:41:29. > :41:31.United going well, at home to Dumbarton. They're all players

:41:32. > :41:34.steadily climbing up? Very important. If it stays like

:41:35. > :41:38.this, they would go second in the league. That is fantastic, and shows

:41:39. > :41:45.how tight the leaders. Not a lot of gold outside these places, but they

:41:46. > :41:48.go second and take sides. Looked like a good and important

:41:49. > :41:52.result for Raith Rovers after a slight wobble?

:41:53. > :41:58.Yes, I think they have done a great job this season. Obviously tough

:41:59. > :42:03.after the season they had, and there is a goal!

:42:04. > :42:06.Looks like a goal for Caledonian Thistle there. A bit of its prize as

:42:07. > :42:10.well, because come on cam or less dominated those proceedings.

:42:11. > :42:12.Let's find out more about the goal from Martin Bowlen, our man watching

:42:13. > :42:19.it. It is a goal for Inverness. A close

:42:20. > :42:24.range finish, a real scrappy one, bodies in the box. It fell to him

:42:25. > :42:27.and forced him over the line. I have just looked down at Lee Clarke, and

:42:28. > :42:32.he looks absolutely sick, after what has been a really good performance

:42:33. > :42:35.for Kilmarnock. They suddenly find themselves level.

:42:36. > :42:36.Well, you can understand why he is sick.

:42:37. > :42:40.They have put so much effort into this game, they have been such a

:42:41. > :42:43.solid unit all game, and they have pretty much dominated the game.

:42:44. > :42:48.Inverness haven't really had any hopes. They have probed and passed

:42:49. > :42:53.it, but to no avail. It is a long-distance shot and not really

:42:54. > :42:56.getting into Kilmarnock's box up until now, and they get their

:42:57. > :43:00.reward. He will be delighted with that.

:43:01. > :43:10.Absolutely, after a sticky start the season, they have found their form

:43:11. > :43:13.now, and going strong. But kill my neck have on many occasions

:43:14. > :43:17.displayed goal-scoring possibilities from midfield, which is impressive.

:43:18. > :43:23.The midfield players impressed their qualities. They are known for their

:43:24. > :43:28.passing ability and how they want to pass and create chances to batting.

:43:29. > :43:35.Joe Marler Cammell and eight of them will. An important goal for Thistle.

:43:36. > :43:40.Looks like a point at least there at Firhill. Thistle one up and into the

:43:41. > :43:43.latter stages of that one. What you have seen, Scott, leaving hold on in

:43:44. > :43:47.match? May have been the more dominant

:43:48. > :43:50.side, but I think if you ask any Thistle fan at the moment, they have

:43:51. > :43:54.seen this time and again this season, and it will be over until

:43:55. > :44:00.that final whistle is over for them. I would probably say at the moment,

:44:01. > :44:05.if Thistle should win this game, it only takes one opportunity, and Jim

:44:06. > :44:08.McIntyre will be praying he get that opportunity. They had not scored for

:44:09. > :44:10.four and a half games now. That will be a very late game as

:44:11. > :44:13.well. I think there will be five or six

:44:14. > :44:19.minutes of added time above Beach additional three minutes, so that

:44:20. > :44:23.one will be a result. Stuart mentioned that Boyce was missing.

:44:24. > :44:25.The Baylor to flit in attack without him?

:44:26. > :44:29.It is difficult, because we were taught about it after barely. How

:44:30. > :44:34.many games can you say that they have actually played in the last

:44:35. > :44:38.year and half? Either one or the other has been injured, so it is

:44:39. > :44:41.pretty the straight into Ross County and Jim McIntyre and Billy Dodds as

:44:42. > :44:43.a whole, to try and get that partnership, because when they are

:44:44. > :44:51.together, they are probably one if not the best part within the SPF al.

:44:52. > :44:58.Ross County have found it difficult to keep the ball, and create

:44:59. > :44:59.opportunities from passing things around, because Partick this'll have

:45:00. > :45:14.been so dominant. But Ross County have their number

:45:15. > :45:16.ten position, and the top, they have current.

:45:17. > :45:20.They have plenty of pace to counterattack and create from there.

:45:21. > :45:23.They haven't shown that yet, but certainly, the opportunities are

:45:24. > :45:26.there for them to create something. Even John McIntyre in the papers

:45:27. > :45:30.this morning was saying that as long as they cross into the box, you

:45:31. > :45:31.think they will be all right. Is that something they have not done

:45:32. > :45:35.today? Yes, they have not had much

:45:36. > :45:39.opportunity. I think that was one opportunity at the post to come into

:45:40. > :45:43.the box. A low shot from the edge, and it has hit the left-hand post.

:45:44. > :45:47.Apart from that, they have not really have much to talk about in

:45:48. > :45:55.terms of delivery in the box, and without voice being in there with

:45:56. > :45:59.Karen at times, it really does Leave a lot more isolated, and does not

:46:00. > :46:02.like to get in the box. He likes to be the creator, so they are

:46:03. > :46:06.certainly missing out a lot with Graham, who has now gone to Hibs as

:46:07. > :46:09.well. They have lost an asset in terms of physicality.

:46:10. > :46:13.A judge there from Kilmarnock? I think we have all changed our

:46:14. > :46:15.assessments of their season in the last couple of weeks. I think that

:46:16. > :46:19.would be fair. They can give your earlier point, a

:46:20. > :46:23.lot of people have been critical of the decisions of Lee Clarke in

:46:24. > :46:26.ending the season, the purgation of bringing in a whole new squad of

:46:27. > :46:33.players, many of them unknown, many of them young, many of them coming

:46:34. > :46:36.up from places in England where they have not proven themselves in

:46:37. > :46:39.Scotland, but gradually, and gradually, he is saving together a

:46:40. > :46:45.team, this could win this week still. They had been set from the

:46:46. > :46:49.post they just have, and I think Kilmarnock will probably get at

:46:50. > :46:52.least a point out of this game, so you are starting to look at them as

:46:53. > :46:59.being... I think they will be the answer lay team that will be

:47:00. > :47:01.destined to go down. -- aunt Sally. Very few people would put money on

:47:02. > :47:05.that. In that I can experiment he is

:47:06. > :47:09.conducting at Kilmarnock. Very brave, quite risky?

:47:10. > :47:13.Yes, I think he realised he had to make a whole set of chances there.

:47:14. > :47:17.He has done that, and he is working with the players to get them to play

:47:18. > :47:21.the way he wants, and they get good results in turn. So all credit to

:47:22. > :47:26.that. That is excellent, and that is good management for you. You have to

:47:27. > :47:33.be brave to put so many players out the box. Those players don't

:47:34. > :47:36.necessarily have experience in the SPL, and the matches here are faster

:47:37. > :47:43.than in England. Maybe not as physical, but certainly the tempo,

:47:44. > :47:47.it is a faster game here. So the game has taken a calculated risk.

:47:48. > :47:51.But that tells me that there is work being done at the training ground,

:47:52. > :47:54.and they can get their results. Whatever they are doing on the

:47:55. > :47:58.training ground at Somerset Park, it seems to be bearing fruit. There has

:47:59. > :48:01.been a win this afternoon for Ayr United at home to Queen of the

:48:02. > :48:05.South. This was the first of the afternoon's full-time result will

:48:06. > :48:10.stop it comes from Connie. Yes, some things seem to be working.

:48:11. > :48:14.1-0 to Ayr United. A long-range effort was enough to get Ayr United

:48:15. > :48:18.all three points. It means they have gone eight games with only one

:48:19. > :48:23.defeat in all. The first half was pretty tame, only to macro shots on

:48:24. > :48:27.goal for Queen of the South will stop only five minutes into the

:48:28. > :48:32.second half, they picked up the ball at the edge of the box. Ayr United

:48:33. > :48:39.continued to dominate in the second half. Gary Harkins had a clear-cut

:48:40. > :48:41.chance to make, but it will not want to see that any time again soon.

:48:42. > :48:49.Another defeat for Queens of the cell. -- Queen of the South. 1-0 to

:48:50. > :48:51.Ayr United. Ayr United have gone from a seems

:48:52. > :49:03.some people had concerns about, newly promoted, but now they are

:49:04. > :49:06.looking like play-off contenders? You like to try to jump to the

:49:07. > :49:09.conclusion of this great division long before it is over, but I have a

:49:10. > :49:12.feeling Ayr United lined up middle of the division.

:49:13. > :49:15.We have been speaking about Partick this'll and how their fans might

:49:16. > :49:19.feel. It looked as if they have had a goal.

:49:20. > :49:24.In the first minute of injury time Ross County, the equaliser. We're

:49:25. > :49:29.playing nine minutes of injury time, as Stewart rightly pointed out, and

:49:30. > :49:33.Chris Buckler has come off the bench to grab Ross County a point, and it

:49:34. > :49:39.seems, extend Partick this's winless run. It seemed they would eventually

:49:40. > :49:44.end up going ahead through Sean Welsh's penalty, but Chris Clark

:49:45. > :49:49.burst into the Thistle opening area, and let fly with a right foot. It is

:49:50. > :49:59.one each. Still playing there, but full-time

:50:00. > :50:01.now at Inverness and Caledonian is so against Kilmarnock. -- Inverness

:50:02. > :50:05.Caledonian Thistle. Their players are trudging up the pitch, not

:50:06. > :50:12.looking to happy. Full-time, 1-1. The home side

:50:13. > :50:17.rescued a point after Kilmarnock would very much on cause very second

:50:18. > :50:20.incentive to win. That goal, a close range finish after what had been to

:50:21. > :50:21.incentive to win. That goal, a close that point a very impressive,

:50:22. > :50:27.well-organised showing from the visitors. The visitors are going

:50:28. > :50:31.ahead when one of their players was barged to the ground by the striker.

:50:32. > :50:34.He should have had a second moments later but stewed the ball straight

:50:35. > :50:40.at the goalkeeper from six yards. Inverness struggled to create much

:50:41. > :50:45.at all. Three players had long-range efforts. One making a tough decision

:50:46. > :50:50.to square the ball rather than shoot. Kris Boyd had wonderful items

:50:51. > :50:54.in the post before the ball was seized on in force over from close

:50:55. > :51:01.range. Rory Mackenzie thought he had lodged a late stunner from distance,

:51:02. > :51:05.but I suspect Lee Clark will feel his side deserved more. And

:51:06. > :51:08.full-time at the Falkirk Stadium, and a thrilling encounter between

:51:09. > :51:11.Falkirk and Raith Rovers, witnessed by John Barnes.

:51:12. > :51:17.Yes, a thrilling encounter which ended with Raith Rovers winning by

:51:18. > :51:20.4-2, a double from Mark Stewart, one-time Falkirk Avery, but he was

:51:21. > :51:25.the man who really was the 's oration for Raith Rovers today. Ian

:51:26. > :51:30.Davidson was the man who put them in front, and within 60 seconds, John

:51:31. > :51:35.Beard had levelled after he punished for defending between the goalkeeper

:51:36. > :51:38.and defender. Mark Stewart then got his first of the day. Eight minutes

:51:39. > :51:48.before the interval, with a fine effort, a header from close range.

:51:49. > :51:52.Then he turned provider in the 72nd minute, serving up the opportunity

:51:53. > :52:00.for Declan McManus to make it 3-1. Falkirk's substitute pulled a goal

:52:01. > :52:06.back in 36 minutes. That was 2-1 at that stage. But McManus wrapped up

:52:07. > :52:12.the scoring a few minutes later. It finished here the Falkirk Stadium

:52:13. > :52:14.4-2 to Rovers. Paul Mitchell can confirm the score

:52:15. > :52:20.from Dundee United against Dumbarton at Tannadice.

:52:21. > :52:23.It has been pretty in pink for Dundee United this afternoon,

:52:24. > :52:29.although they have think tops, their problems are not solved.

:52:30. > :52:33.Scott Fraser had the post after six minutes when he should have scored

:52:34. > :52:40.will stop early pressure from Dundee United. Dumbarton struck back. Cammy

:52:41. > :52:44.Bell got down to run the ball away. Saving well from Robert Thomson's

:52:45. > :52:47.clever header. Alan Martin was beaten on the half hour, but Mark

:52:48. > :52:52.Doherty hit the header of the line. However, the header in the second

:52:53. > :52:55.half by him actually beat his own goalkeeper from the Dundee United

:52:56. > :53:05.corner, giving Dundee United the lead. And then a goal from only

:53:06. > :53:08.three yards out, making it 2-0 from Edjenguele. Dumbarton refused to be

:53:09. > :53:12.downhearted. Their substitute the catalyst that the 37 minute goal.

:53:13. > :53:15.His low cross beaten by Robert Thomson. He squeezed it beyond.

:53:16. > :53:22.United look into the assistant referee to the flag, but the

:53:23. > :53:25.assistant dropped it, picked it up and raced to the halfway line.

:53:26. > :53:29.Dundee United looking slightly uncomfortable as Dumbarton threw

:53:30. > :53:35.everything at them for their work, but they did not lose their nerve.

:53:36. > :53:38.2-1 to Dundee United. Still playing, Dunfermline and head. A late goal

:53:39. > :53:43.scored there? Yes, a goal for the substitute Brian

:53:44. > :53:46.Graham, coming off the bench to score, and kids have been struggling

:53:47. > :53:47.for goals lately. That has been three in the second half against

:53:48. > :53:57.Dunfermline. -- head. As you say, the game store going on

:53:58. > :54:01.at the moment, but perhaps the biggest surprise of all, the top

:54:02. > :54:04.scorer Jason Collins was not only not on the scoresheet this

:54:05. > :54:08.afternoon, but not even in the park, left on the bench at the start, and

:54:09. > :54:13.has not been brought onto the field by Neil this afternoon. They were a

:54:14. > :54:16.goal down at half-time, a controversial penalty. They have

:54:17. > :54:20.been on the wrong end of some controversial decisions lately, and

:54:21. > :54:33.Neil Lennon's mood was not enhanced when it was pointed out that there

:54:34. > :54:36.was a try on 21 minutes. They got to have embarrassed moments later, and

:54:37. > :54:39.it was a bit of a bunch of going on now. Things have spilled over in the

:54:40. > :54:45.nine seconds into the fourth minute of stoppage time. We will see what

:54:46. > :54:51.Alan Newell will do that. I will go on to talk about that mess. Just a

:54:52. > :54:54.minute later... There is a straight red card. There are so Jamal a

:54:55. > :55:00.players, I can't quite make out who it is. -- such a melee of players. I

:55:01. > :55:06.think it is a Dunfermline player who is walking off. In fact, it is a

:55:07. > :55:14.Dunfermline player who has been dismissed. Michael Moffat, on as a

:55:15. > :55:18.substitute in the second half at Dunfermline. A whole melee kicked

:55:19. > :55:24.off there. The red card produced. Back to the actual action. Away from

:55:25. > :55:29.the fisticuffs, Dunfermline leaving at the interval. In the second half,

:55:30. > :55:34.head beginning to exert complete control on the game, and to get a

:55:35. > :55:38.goal and, a bit of good fortune when they did level. Good play, cutting

:55:39. > :55:43.away from a couple of defenders at the edge of the box. Killed in a

:55:44. > :55:47.nice shot, but it was the diving header of Wedderburn that deflected

:55:48. > :55:52.past his own goalkeeper at that point, and then, Hibs managed to get

:55:53. > :56:00.a penalty at 65 minutes. It was Ashcroft who won it at one end. A

:56:01. > :56:06.push Andrew Shinnie, and Gary Hill scoring his second goal for Hibs,

:56:07. > :56:12.converting that, and then a Joe Mattok last few seconds here. We had

:56:13. > :56:16.that goal converted by the substitute, and then the red card,

:56:17. > :56:23.so it is 3-1, and the full-time whistle has just gone. 3-1 to Hibs

:56:24. > :56:27.at full-time. Full-time at Firhill now. It

:56:28. > :56:32.finished 1-1 between Partick this'll and Ross County. Chris Buckler,

:56:33. > :56:37.having a chat with the referee. I don't know what that is about, but

:56:38. > :56:40.he scored the equaliser. Let's get more details. Yes, he might have

:56:41. > :56:45.been speaking to the referee because he fell just before he equalised

:56:46. > :56:48.that the he was bundled over inside the penalty area.

:56:49. > :56:51.On this occasion, the referee did not blow. He had blown in the first

:56:52. > :56:55.half in favour of them, allowing them to put themselves in front of a

:56:56. > :56:57.goal that looked a long time like it would be a goal that brought an end

:56:58. > :57:03.to this'll's eight match winless run. Alas for them, that is now a

:57:04. > :57:09.nine match winless run, as they were taken back in injury time. Had Sean

:57:10. > :57:13.Welsh converted that penalty in the first half, they dominated the most

:57:14. > :57:17.part. Ross County began to Bush as the game went on. The Lee ton-macro

:57:18. > :57:21.to injury I spoke about certainly cause disruption in the This'll

:57:22. > :57:26.backline, but Alan Archibald will once again be left to rue missed

:57:27. > :57:29.opportunities and a failure to capitalise on their dominance as

:57:30. > :57:33.Berg grabbed the point for county and extends their win as well to

:57:34. > :57:35.seven matches. At least it is a first goal in five games from them,

:57:36. > :57:44.certainly better than non-absorbed. It finished 1-1.

:57:45. > :57:48.Chris Burke, someone who could have a bigger role to play as the season

:57:49. > :57:51.unfolds? Yes, a great player with bags of

:57:52. > :57:57.experience. A real find for Jim McIntyre. I think we were even

:57:58. > :58:02.trying to convince him to come to us. So he went there and showed his

:58:03. > :58:08.true qualities. When he came on, you could see he would be a lively

:58:09. > :58:11.change for them, and he has proved the difference.

:58:12. > :58:13.Comes on and scores the goal, and then moan so the referee about

:58:14. > :58:18.something else! Yes, I think there was another

:58:19. > :58:23.incident here. I think he was involved in a number of different

:58:24. > :58:25.things when he was taught the referee, and not least the patterns

:58:26. > :58:29.that Motherwell offered them as a wage!

:58:30. > :58:34.He has got it in for you today! That is a valuable goal, valuable point

:58:35. > :58:37.for County, the way things have been going.

:58:38. > :58:39.Absolutely. They almost won it. After they had scored that

:58:40. > :58:51.equaliser, they could easily have won it. It was a difference in what

:58:52. > :58:53.happened before, and so, you know how goals change games, with

:58:54. > :58:58.confidence of things like that. I think they could have been home and

:58:59. > :59:02.dry. But Partick this in the end of the day wanted a draw.

:59:03. > :59:14.The weekend proceeds apace now to today's classified results round-up.

:59:15. > :02:24.Today we commence with the Deptford cup semifinals.

:02:25. > :02:30.Just two matches in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon. Partick

:02:31. > :02:34.Thistle getting a point at home to Ross County moves than one point

:02:35. > :02:41.away from Dundee at the bottom. Dundee play St Johnstone tomorrow.

:02:42. > :02:43.Ross County sitting in seventh, level on points with Inverness

:02:44. > :02:51.Caledonian Thistle and Kilmarnock. A good day for Hibs, they are three

:02:52. > :02:55.points clear at the top of the table, good win for them today.

:02:56. > :03:00.Three clear of Dundee United and Queen of the South. No gain for

:03:01. > :03:08.bottom club St Mirren today. Morton were in League Cup semifinal

:03:09. > :03:14.action. Brechin City a point clear at the

:03:15. > :03:23.top of League 1. Stennis near our four points adrift

:03:24. > :03:35.of Queens Park. Here's a look at League 2, no games

:03:36. > :03:42.there, but I just thought Forfar fans might like to gloat, three

:03:43. > :03:47.points clear with a game in hand. Here comes the Premier League. Top

:03:48. > :03:51.of the table makes good reading if you are an Arsenal fan, a point

:03:52. > :03:54.clear at the top over Manchester City, yet to play this weekend.

:03:55. > :04:00.Tottenham Hotspur level on points with city, they drew at Bournemouth.

:04:01. > :04:16.Here is the foot of the table, another defeat for Sunderland today.

:04:17. > :04:37.Backmarkers in the English championship, Rotherham United, five

:04:38. > :04:42.behind Wigan Athletic. Cardiff City in the bottom three. Let's get some

:04:43. > :04:50.more details of the matches in England this afternoon, starting at

:04:51. > :04:54.the Emirates, let's get the details. It is Arsenal 0-0, two points

:04:55. > :04:57.dropped without a doubt for the home side, their seven-game winning

:04:58. > :05:01.streak is over. A day when they never quite hit the high is that

:05:02. > :05:03.we've seen in recent weeks, but great credit should be passed to

:05:04. > :05:09.Middlesbrough, a real fighting point. Decent chances of their own,

:05:10. > :05:14.Gaston Ramirez hitting the woodwork. Traore it was excellent. Victor

:05:15. > :05:20.Valdes was busy in the Middlesbrough goal. Ozil was offside late as he

:05:21. > :05:28.turned it in. Arsenal do go top, but you have to ask, would the would-be

:05:29. > :05:35.champions have found a way to win? Arsenal didn't. Burnley at home to

:05:36. > :05:40.Everton, Damian Johnson was there. Extraordinary victory for Burnley.

:05:41. > :05:45.Winning 2-1. They've been second best all afternoon. Took the lead

:05:46. > :05:49.against the run of play when Sam Vokes scored a tap in. Everton

:05:50. > :05:56.equalised with a clinical strike from Yannick Bolasie. The Burnley

:05:57. > :06:00.keeper Tom Heaton kept them in it with a string of brilliant saves.

:06:01. > :06:09.Held on for a batting point. Burnley got the winner. Breathless stuff,

:06:10. > :06:13.here. Last season 's champions Leicester have been struggling in

:06:14. > :06:19.the league this season but not so today, good victory at home to

:06:20. > :06:23.Crystal Palace. Normal service appears to have been resumed at the

:06:24. > :06:27.King Power Stadium, 3-1 winners, Leicester, relatively comfortable

:06:28. > :06:36.with it. Three good goals. An unstoppable drive from Musa had them

:06:37. > :06:46.in front. Just before half-time. It was 2-0 thanks to Okazaki, and

:06:47. > :06:50.Christian Fuchs does not score many, but the keeper had to pick that one

:06:51. > :06:56.out. Crystal Palace showed a little but it was far too late. Cabaye got

:06:57. > :06:59.them a consolation goal but that's all it was. Schmeichel saved

:07:00. > :07:04.Leicester when he had to. A glimpse of the old Leicester here. West Ham

:07:05. > :07:09.and Sunderland have been struggling. There was a win for one of them

:07:10. > :07:17.today. Unbelievable scenes here at the London stadium. Heartbreak for

:07:18. > :07:20.David Moyes. Winston Reid on five minutes from the edge of the area in

:07:21. > :07:26.what was basically the last kick of the game. West Ham had dominated the

:07:27. > :07:32.match but up until then Sunderland had defended well. Will that banish

:07:33. > :07:37.the issues at the London stadium? Slaven Bilic will certainly help so.

:07:38. > :07:41.Still no win for David Moyes in the Premier League. His side remain

:07:42. > :07:44.rooted to the bottom. Not been the best of times for either Hull or

:07:45. > :07:54.Stoke recently, they were in action this afternoon watched by Vicki

:07:55. > :08:03.Sparks. Spoke of won 2-0, securing their 100th Premier League win

:08:04. > :08:11.thanks to Shaqiri's double, the second was a precise bottom corner

:08:12. > :08:14.free kick. Could have been more. Hull were second-best throughout.

:08:15. > :08:18.Five defeat in a row for them and they fall into the relegation zone.

:08:19. > :08:22.Stoke are out of the bottom three. Bit of argy-bargy after the final

:08:23. > :08:28.whistle which saw Evan Friend booking three Stoke players. They

:08:29. > :08:30.won't mind too much, winning 3-0. Time for something completely

:08:31. > :08:36.different, the Scottish Cup second round, the juniors were at home to

:08:37. > :08:46.Cove Rangers from the Highland yes, welcome over here at Bonnyrigg.

:08:47. > :08:50.This was a clash of the titans between Bonnyrigg Rose and the

:08:51. > :08:55.Highland league champions Cove Rangers. It almost didn't happen

:08:56. > :09:01.because at 12:30pm to Cove Rangers team bus broke down just at the

:09:02. > :09:06.Edinburgh bypass. Gearbox issues, I'm told. We've all suffered that at

:09:07. > :09:11.some point in the past. But they arrived and the game got underway,

:09:12. > :09:17.albeit delayed kick-off. It has finished 2-1 to Bonnyrigg Rose. Drab

:09:18. > :09:21.first half, but then the game lit up with a five-minute spell of goals in

:09:22. > :09:25.the second half. 69 minutes Bonnyrigg went in front, the

:09:26. > :09:31.substitute making an immediate impact by winning a penalty, Hoskins

:09:32. > :09:35.scoring confidently. They were pegged back by Cove Rangers, Johnny

:09:36. > :09:40.Smith converting at the back post. At immediately again it was

:09:41. > :09:45.Bonnyrigg taking advantage on 70 minutes. Andrew Kit with a screamer

:09:46. > :09:52.into the top corner and they went wild celebrating that one. Bonnyrigg

:09:53. > :09:55.held on and it's them who go into Tuesday Bulls third-round draw. I've

:09:56. > :10:02.just been into the dressing room at Bonnyrigg and I can confirm they are

:10:03. > :10:11.absolutely jubilant. Can't believe he didn't comment on the crowd. I

:10:12. > :10:16.think there might have been a misprint, there! A week which. Good

:10:17. > :10:20.luck to Kenny, I hope he can avoid the crowds on his way home. There

:10:21. > :10:24.will be a big crowd tomorrow at the second League Cup semifinal. We can

:10:25. > :10:29.focus our minds on that one. Who will face Aberdeen next month? You

:10:30. > :10:32.can find out by listening on BBC Radio 2 got in. Will it be Rangers,

:10:33. > :10:36.will it be Celtic? You'll have your Radio 2 got in. Will it be Rangers,

:10:37. > :10:40.own opinion is no doubt, so feel free to shout at the TV if you

:10:41. > :10:44.disagree with our studio guests. Let's start with a reminder of when

:10:45. > :10:51.they met in the Premiership only a matter of weeks ago. Convincing win

:10:52. > :10:55.for Celtic, 5-1 on the day. Massive win. Obviously going into this game

:10:56. > :11:00.I think it will be completely different. I don't think this will

:11:01. > :11:04.have any bearing. In saying that there will be some scarring on the

:11:05. > :11:08.Rangers side but they can take some confidence from last time they

:11:09. > :11:11.played Celtic at Hampden Park in defeating them. I really do believe

:11:12. > :11:24.it will be a tighter affair than the last occasion. Little bearing, says

:11:25. > :11:29.Scott, do you agree, Mixu? I don't think Rangers will open up too much.

:11:30. > :11:34.Rangers want to to defend solidly. They do not push full-backs forward

:11:35. > :11:39.that much. The midfield will help support their defence much more than

:11:40. > :11:43.at Celtic Park when they were open. And the pace of Celtic really did

:11:44. > :11:53.the damage. They have some really pacey players, can they cope with

:11:54. > :11:57.that pace? I don't think so. So they need a full effort from the whole

:11:58. > :12:02.team to defend against them. Therefore I think there are changes

:12:03. > :12:08.in how Rangers will approach this game. They will be more cautious. A

:12:09. > :12:14.painful lesson at Celtic Park for Rangers, and one to take heed of? No

:12:15. > :12:17.question. Mixu is right in the sense they will have to say we cannot lose

:12:18. > :12:22.five goals. They will go in with a greater level of caution. Against

:12:23. > :12:26.the backdrop, also, of having probably lost two of their marquee

:12:27. > :12:36.signings, which is bad news for them. Particularly Crenshaw who

:12:37. > :12:41.started to come into a really good game. Are simmering tensions about

:12:42. > :12:48.to boil over here? I think it's when you lose a player of that quality,

:12:49. > :12:53.that has an impact on the self-confidence of a team, and they

:12:54. > :12:59.are coming off, they have to go in much more cautiously and that makes

:13:00. > :13:02.them. I just think the continuity from our season is showing once

:13:03. > :13:07.again with the players that they actually had last year. Tried to

:13:08. > :13:10.change it up with the so-called marquee signings, gave Mark

:13:11. > :13:17.Warburton a bit of a problem in terms of trying to fix them into his

:13:18. > :13:20.philosophy and shape. The boys that were there already have already

:13:21. > :13:24.bought into that, know exactly what he wants and I think we'll see the

:13:25. > :13:28.majority of those players who played last year, they'll be playing

:13:29. > :13:31.tomorrow without question. And also when you look back at the Scottish

:13:32. > :13:35.Cup semifinal last season, how Rangers played in that first half,

:13:36. > :13:41.they really used their mobile players well and worried the Celtic

:13:42. > :13:46.centre halves. They took a 1-0 lead. So that kind of approach. If Rangers

:13:47. > :13:52.can pass and keep the ball and make sure up front they have mobile

:13:53. > :13:56.players. Kenny Miller's workrate is always guaranteed. The other players

:13:57. > :13:59.around him can run behind the Celtic defence. I think Rangers can worry

:14:00. > :14:07.the Celtic defence, no question. Scott Sinclair did not play last

:14:08. > :14:13.year but he did play the 5-1 win over Rangers and we can hear what he

:14:14. > :14:16.has to say about it. It was great. Nobody can tell you how it is going

:14:17. > :14:21.to go or how the experience is until you've gone through it. It was an

:14:22. > :14:29.unbelievable experience with the fans, electric at Celtic Park, it

:14:30. > :14:36.was great. 5-1 victory, first all firm game, how will it impact this

:14:37. > :14:39.weekend? I don't think the fans are respecting another 5-1 but I'm sure

:14:40. > :14:44.we'll go out and give it our best shot. But the most important thing

:14:45. > :14:49.is winning the game. If we win 1-0 our fans will be just as happy as

:14:50. > :14:54.5-1. As long as we get the job done, everybody will be happy. Will he be

:14:55. > :14:58.one of the key men for Celtic tomorrow? Without question. He's

:14:59. > :15:01.been phenomenal since coming up here. Manchester City didn't sign

:15:02. > :15:08.him at one point because he was rubbish. He's player of top quality.

:15:09. > :15:11.In terms of wide men, he is probably the best Celtic have seen since the

:15:12. > :15:15.likes of Aiden McGeady, that type of player that gets people off their

:15:16. > :15:18.seats, runs at people and beats them. That's been a massive

:15:19. > :15:23.difference for Celtic this year, players in wide areas, him and

:15:24. > :15:30.Forrest, who have been on fire, they can go past players. Mixu? And he

:15:31. > :15:34.can finish. He likes coming inside the pitch, he has a direct approach

:15:35. > :15:39.like we saw in that goal, running behind the defence. That's exactly

:15:40. > :15:43.the problem he poses to the defences. Fantastic signing. And who

:15:44. > :15:49.do you think will be key for Celtic tomorrow, can you identify one

:15:50. > :15:53.player as pivotal? Well it's difficult to say exactly one player.

:15:54. > :16:02.Certainly the offensive players for Celtic. Dembele has been scoring all

:16:03. > :16:07.the goals, maybe Sinclair. But for Rangers I would say Halladay.

:16:08. > :16:12.Because that's sitting midfield role becomes very important. Defensively

:16:13. > :16:16.to support the centre halves, the defence, and also when they win the

:16:17. > :16:21.ball, he is a link between the defence and the strikers. And if

:16:22. > :16:27.Andy Halliday gets on the ball and uses it well and finds the strikers

:16:28. > :16:32.who are mobile, Rangers could play well. And defensively he has to

:16:33. > :16:36.really make sure that they are balanced all the time, and does not

:16:37. > :16:42.go forward too far. Make sure Celtic cannot counterattack. This old

:16:43. > :16:47.stage, Kenny Miller, will he be vital for Rangers tomorrow? You

:16:48. > :16:49.never write him off, do you? I think the opposition scored an absolute

:16:50. > :16:55.cracker of a goal, absolute brilliant goal, one of the best of

:16:56. > :16:59.the season already. And he drags defenders around the pitch with him,

:17:00. > :17:04.does a lot of work. He can obviously still finish at the highest level so

:17:05. > :17:07.you never write him off. I agree with Mixu, it is a game that will be

:17:08. > :17:14.played at pace and it's a big, open Park. It's a big occasion and I

:17:15. > :17:20.think pace will win through. It may well be Dembele that is key to this.

:17:21. > :17:23.But Michael O'Halloran, don't rule him out either, you could come on in

:17:24. > :17:28.the second half and burn anybody for pace. Dembele identified, Scott, you

:17:29. > :17:30.the second half and burn anybody for played against them last week and

:17:31. > :17:35.had a significant impact on the played against them last week and

:17:36. > :17:38.outcome of the match? We touched on Sinclair and Dembele has been

:17:39. > :17:42.phenomenal as well this year. Turk him a little while to get going. I

:17:43. > :17:46.think once he finally got that first goal for Celtic, he has really made

:17:47. > :17:50.that position his own now. We'll talk about Lee Griffiths who scored

:17:51. > :17:55.40 goals last year and cannot get in the Celtic team. That's one I have

:17:56. > :18:00.not ruled out for tomorrow. Lee Griffiths could play instead of

:18:01. > :18:04.Dembele, that is still a positivity. I think Mixu touched on who will be

:18:05. > :18:09.important for Rangers in terms of Andy Halliday. I think that's going

:18:10. > :18:13.to be a great tussle, who can get on top in that area. Because I think in

:18:14. > :18:19.that area of the pitch it will be vital. In those areas between the

:18:20. > :18:24.lines, feeding those passes to the wide men and strikers, Rangers could

:18:25. > :18:29.be in all sorts of trouble. You mentioned oh Halloran, that is an

:18:30. > :18:32.interesting one, and I think it could be positive for Rangers, to

:18:33. > :18:35.put Michael O'Halloran on the right wing against Tierney, to stop him

:18:36. > :18:44.going forward, and when he does go forward, he has the pace to match

:18:45. > :18:48.it, and can counterattack. So that is interesting and would be a

:18:49. > :18:54.positive move from Rangers. The more games he gets, the more St Johnstone

:18:55. > :19:03.get in fees as well. Very quickly before we move on, Mixu, who will

:19:04. > :19:08.prevail? So difficult to say. We'll come back to him! I'd go Rangers

:19:09. > :19:12.after penalties. I think it's going to be a really tight game. There

:19:13. > :19:18.will be goals in the game for both sides. I'll go for a 1-1 but for my

:19:19. > :19:24.old club to nick it in extra time. Does that give the chairman of the

:19:25. > :19:28.panel but casting vote? I've got a great respect for Dundee but I'll go

:19:29. > :19:33.to- one St Johnstone. Excellent. Well, whoever prevails at Hampden

:19:34. > :19:37.Park, we know who they will be facing in the final on the 27th of

:19:38. > :19:41.November, it will be Aberdeen, who beat Morton 2-0 at the National

:19:42. > :19:43.November, it will be Aberdeen, who Stadium. We can hear from both

:19:44. > :19:49.managers after the match, starting with the victorious Derek McInnis.

:19:50. > :19:54.The team that I picked to start the game was a team I thought would win.

:19:55. > :19:59.I was reluctant to change. Sometimes when you play against a team who are

:20:00. > :20:04.working so hard to put out fires and keep us away from the goal,

:20:05. > :20:08.sometimes if you keep possession, keep moving them side to side,

:20:09. > :20:11.testing their organisation, something will come and thankfully

:20:12. > :20:18.we came through today. I think from then on in we opened up more

:20:19. > :20:22.opportunities. I think Morten deserve a lot of credit but our

:20:23. > :20:26.players deserve a lot of credit for having the wherewithal to keep going

:20:27. > :20:30.and do the job well. And the best team won. I was absolutely thrilled

:20:31. > :20:33.with the performance and the attitude of the players. We don't

:20:34. > :20:38.have an Adam Rooney in our team and we don't have the experience.

:20:39. > :20:42.Obviously anybody who watches games of football at any level, the top

:20:43. > :20:45.teams wear you down by passing, they keep changing the play, keep the

:20:46. > :20:50.pitch wide, your boys are shuffling across the pitch and eventually

:20:51. > :20:54.maybe sometimes concentration just catches up with them. But I've been

:20:55. > :21:01.told the first goal was offside. And if it is then it's going to stick in

:21:02. > :21:06.my throat. Believe me if there is an offside call in a big game tomorrow,

:21:07. > :21:10.they will give it. He seems a bit miffed. Yes, and I can understand

:21:11. > :21:15.that. They had a good performance today. They really played well and

:21:16. > :21:20.showed exactly what they can do. When you look at the league table,

:21:21. > :21:28.Morton are not in the play-off positions it. But I wouldn't go too

:21:29. > :21:36.far beyond them. They have every chance, they are organised, they

:21:37. > :21:40.have pace, they have goal-scorers. We mentioned it earlier, yes, it was

:21:41. > :21:44.a great performance, everybody says how well they played and all that,

:21:45. > :21:50.but they wanted to win that game. And you can see that, and that's the

:21:51. > :21:57.way it has to be. Aberdeen back in a big final. Yeah. That was an

:21:58. > :22:00.important result for them today. I wouldn't say it takes any pressure,

:22:01. > :22:05.if anything they are expected to do well this year. To get to another

:22:06. > :22:11.cup final for Derek McInnis and Aberdeen is fantastic for them. The

:22:12. > :22:15.ride continues. In terms of Morton, Jim Duffy has done at in job. I

:22:16. > :22:25.really like what he has done in terms of his positivity. He plays

:22:26. > :22:31.4-4-2 and that is brave to do that today. Had they scored just before

:22:32. > :22:36.half-time, then who knows what we might have been saying at the end.

:22:37. > :22:42.Keen to page should be at two Morton's efforts? Absolutely. I saw

:22:43. > :22:46.the chance Scott was talking about and one of the things I felt, he

:22:47. > :22:53.seems in the last year to have got much physically bigger as a player.

:22:54. > :22:58.He played for the Scotland under 17 team and he looked like a stick thin

:22:59. > :23:01.guy. This time he looks like he's been in the gym. There could be

:23:02. > :23:05.something there for a young Scottish player of the future and I wish him

:23:06. > :23:10.very well indeed, but he should have lifted it over the keeper. Well

:23:11. > :23:15.gents, I'm afraid that's about it for today. One of our guests is

:23:16. > :23:19.about to vacate the studio, citing a prior engagement. So we'll excuse

:23:20. > :23:21.him. Stuart is off to present off the ball Saturday supplement on

:23:22. > :23:23.radio Scotland. Scott McDonald will be joining

:23:24. > :23:30.later as well. They'll be talking Scott McDonald will be joining

:23:31. > :24:26.about today's results. Here's a reminder of some of them.

:24:27. > :24:32.My thanks to Scott, Mixu and the recently departed Stuart, don't

:24:33. > :24:37.worry, use only gone to do his radio show. Bernabeu to tune in and thanks

:24:38. > :24:39.for watching. See you soon, good night.
