:00:08. > :00:18.Hello, good evening and welcome to Sportscene. It's unbelievable! It's

:00:19. > :00:33.a spectacular opening goal in the Derby. That is an absolute beauty.

:00:34. > :00:38.Is this a bit of history? It is. What a finish. That is it, I would

:00:39. > :01:14.imagine. Welcome to Sportscene. We are at a

:01:15. > :01:20.raucous Tynecastle for the clash between Hearts and Celtic. Later in

:01:21. > :01:29.the show we will bring you the rest of the weekend action in the company

:01:30. > :01:35.of Michael Stewart. We kick off, and it's not far away now. Over to the

:01:36. > :01:41.commentator. His place goes to the former Queen of the South striker

:01:42. > :01:49.Gareth Reilly. It's a 4-4-2 for the hosts. Leigh Griffiths has not made

:01:50. > :01:56.it thanks to his calf injury. Armstrong is recalled at the expense

:01:57. > :02:00.of Forrest. On paper traditionally one of the big fixtures in the

:02:01. > :02:05.Scottish football calendar and today is no different. Celtic looking to

:02:06. > :02:11.react to their defeat to Motherwell last week. Hearts struggled a little

:02:12. > :02:16.bit in recent times as well, losing at Aberdeen, and draws surrounding

:02:17. > :02:21.that. Looking to put pressure on Celtic. If they get in the

:02:22. > :02:30.champions' faces it certainly gets the Tynecastle crowd on top of them.

:02:31. > :02:35.Here is Callum McGregor. He has found a new lease of life, McGregor,

:02:36. > :02:47.as he tries to pull it back. It's early corner for Celtic. Tom Rogic

:02:48. > :02:51.was the difference between the sides earlier in the campaign. Celtic had

:02:52. > :03:04.no zest about them against Motherwell and it was a deserved

:03:05. > :03:17.victory for Mike McMeeken's side. -- McGhee. Nadir Ciftci under pressure.

:03:18. > :03:22.He took a sore one, there. McGregor. That is well over the bar by Nadir

:03:23. > :03:36.Ciftci. It has been all Celtic in the early stages. Neil Alexander, 38

:03:37. > :03:45.in March. He was taking that out of the sky well. Here comes Celtic.

:03:46. > :03:49.Through two Nadir Ciftci. He plays a very different kind of game to Leigh

:03:50. > :03:57.Griffiths, Nadir Ciftci. That was more like the kind of Griffiths run.

:03:58. > :04:14.Keirin Tierney, having a wonderful season. Here is Rogic. Alexander is

:04:15. > :04:17.equal to it. Like Callum McGregor, one of the forgotten man who has

:04:18. > :04:23.rarely grabbed his opportunity. Robbie Neilson and Stevie Crawford

:04:24. > :04:27.looking to get the better of Celtic for the first time as the management

:04:28. > :04:33.team. He claims that they are getting closer. I suppose in their

:04:34. > :04:42.results they are. A couple of heavy cup defeats. Played across and poked

:04:43. > :04:50.towards the goal. Craig Gordon pulls off an exceptional piece of

:04:51. > :05:02.goalkeeping. That keeps it at 0-0. This is a great save from the former

:05:03. > :05:08.Hearts number one. It's a sell-out here. As it tends to be fully

:05:09. > :05:20.matches. Efe Ambrose has completely misjudged it. This is O'Reilly. It's

:05:21. > :05:26.good in one -- it is Gordon once again. Two important saves in a

:05:27. > :05:38.couple of minutes from Gordon. Hearts have really crept into this.

:05:39. > :05:50.He tries to squeeze it through to Forrest. Away by Paterson. The chase

:05:51. > :05:59.is on for Reilly. He has done well. Nicholson is waiting in the middle.

:06:00. > :06:03.Sam Nicholson! Well, if Hearts are to get the better of Celtic in this

:06:04. > :06:07.game they need Nicholson to be firing. He has been involved as much

:06:08. > :06:13.in the first half as he would have liked. Ambrose, who came on for

:06:14. > :06:17.Dedryck Boyata. Ronny Deila had to look to the bench twice in the first

:06:18. > :06:26.half. That's a good challenge on McGregor.

:06:27. > :06:37.That has come right through, almost, two Nadir Ciftci. McGregor has

:06:38. > :06:42.popped it through. 1-0. They have been up against it in the last ten

:06:43. > :06:48.minutes but Celtic demonstrate why they are the champions. Well, it was

:06:49. > :06:52.a mistake by August the move. McGregor plays it through to Bitton

:06:53. > :07:01.and it was the coolest finishes by the Israeli. Lovely finish. Into the

:07:02. > :07:09.far corner. Celtic at their backs to the wall but now they have the

:07:10. > :07:14.initiative in the capital. Delightful Ronny Deila. He has had

:07:15. > :07:22.the weight of the world on his shoulders again. -- delight for

:07:23. > :07:27.Ronny Deila. Hearts will feel aggrieved having weathered the storm

:07:28. > :07:31.in the early part of the first half. Because of the substitutions that

:07:32. > :07:33.have had to be made in the opening 45 we have just moved into the first

:07:34. > :08:04.of three minutes of stoppage time. It is a stunning end to the first

:08:05. > :08:12.half at Tynecastle. Within a few minutes of going behind, Hearts have

:08:13. > :08:18.levelled it. Just before the break. It's a great ball in. It's

:08:19. > :08:28.exquisite. And Nicholson beats Lustig to it. It's 1-1, in the blink

:08:29. > :08:31.of an eye, it seems. Tynecastle is rocking now, without question. It

:08:32. > :08:46.was a good finish by Nicholson. Well, Celtic will still have the

:08:47. > :08:50.atmosphere of Tynecastle ringing in their ears as they get the second

:08:51. > :08:56.half under way. Ronny Deila will be devastated by the fact that they got

:08:57. > :09:03.their noses in front and it was obliterated within a couple of

:09:04. > :09:09.minutes. Nadir Ciftci pinches it. Neil Alexander is fortunate that his

:09:10. > :09:15.save was not gobbled up by Rogic. That's better by Nadir Ciftci. It's

:09:16. > :09:28.more like him. Alexander did just enough. It's just eight wins for

:09:29. > :09:32.Hearts in league games at Tynecastle against Celtic in two decades so

:09:33. > :09:38.yes, it's difficult fixture for Celtic but they generally find a way

:09:39. > :09:46.win. You have to go back to 2011 when Hearts last beat them in the

:09:47. > :09:47.league. That's Johansson. Neil Alexander, delighted to see that

:09:48. > :10:12.fly-past. Forrest. He gets away from Paterson.

:10:13. > :10:16.And from Sow. He decides to go himself. We know what James Forrest

:10:17. > :10:34.is capable of when he's on his game. Here is Sow. Hearts are desperately

:10:35. > :10:41.tried to recreate the spell that they had in the second half of the

:10:42. > :10:53.first half. They have toiled to do that so far. Prince wins his team a

:10:54. > :10:56.free kick. Hearts play Aberdeen in the League Cup in a few weeks, they

:10:57. > :11:00.are delighted not to play Celtic as it has been in the last three and

:11:01. > :11:14.competitions that they have been knocked out of. -- cup competitions.

:11:15. > :11:25.Nicholson is over this. Sow et al are waiting. Was there a push on

:11:26. > :11:30.Augustine? The referee had a great view, as you can see, and he turns a

:11:31. > :11:38.blind eye. This is McGregor. Nadir Ciftci. WHISTLE

:11:39. > :11:42.Free kick. Now, this coming seconds after Augustine felt he should have

:11:43. > :11:44.had a penalty at the other end. It's the same two players involved. It's

:11:45. > :11:56.a cheap free kick to give away. Celtic with just two wins in their

:11:57. > :12:03.last six games in all competitions, it is most unlike them. Now then,

:12:04. > :12:10.what can make can sure up here? It is Callum McGregor. And now Lustig.

:12:11. > :12:22.He's going to get a second bite at this.

:12:23. > :12:37.Rogic! Its beauty. He has restored the champions' lead. You won't see

:12:38. > :12:44.too many better finishes than this. At showing this into the top corner.

:12:45. > :12:53.In off the underside of the bar as well, for good measure. It's a

:12:54. > :13:02.wonderful goal. And it is Hearts 1-2 Celtic. The champions back in the

:13:03. > :13:12.box seat, thanks to Tom Rogic scored the winner last time they met him a

:13:13. > :13:22.couple. -- met here, in the cup. This is positive by Billy King. He

:13:23. > :13:28.saw the headlines. Hearts looking to draw level for the second time, but

:13:29. > :13:39.they are running out of time. This is good play by Billy King. May have

:13:40. > :13:43.come off the bench a little earlier. Sow goes down, there is no free

:13:44. > :13:46.kick. Celtic are closing in on a very important victory.

:13:47. > :14:06.Steven MacLean bringing that back for a free kick. Heading towards the

:14:07. > :14:14.90 minute mark here. Can Hearts fashion one last chance even? Rossi

:14:15. > :14:20.takes the free kick. Sow King, followed by Forrest. Hearts will

:14:21. > :14:42.have a free kick in a promising area. Sow is with him. It is Sow.

:14:43. > :14:49.Oh! It's a glorious goal by Sow! Hearts have surely rescued a point

:14:50. > :14:55.in stoppage time. Craig Gordon could only turn around to his right and

:14:56. > :15:03.watch this sailing past. It is what's known as a howitzer. Osman

:15:04. > :15:07.Sow comes out with a classic to rescue the jam tarts. It might have

:15:08. > :15:13.taken a nick of Gary Mackay-Steven, but you can't take anything away

:15:14. > :15:20.from that shot from Osman Sow. Which swear words away from Craig Gordon.

:15:21. > :15:25.He was despairing. -- it swerves away. So too was his manager. It

:15:26. > :15:33.looks like another game without a win for Celtic.

:15:34. > :15:44.You might just sense that Hearts can win this.

:15:45. > :15:48.It looks like a draw. But it is a better draw for Hearts, given they

:15:49. > :16:01.have come from behind twice. Another free kick and Nadir Ciftci

:16:02. > :16:09.has to be careful, he was booked earlier on. Is there to be one last

:16:10. > :16:23.dramatic chapter written in this match? Here is Prince Buaben. No

:16:24. > :16:25.free kick. It is full-time. Ronny Deila and Robbie Neilson exchange

:16:26. > :16:31.handshakes and what an afternoon it has been. The fans want to fight and

:16:32. > :16:35.they want to tackle and that is the way they want to play. You have to

:16:36. > :16:39.respect Celtic for being a good team, but you have to put them under

:16:40. > :16:44.pressure. Does it feel like a weapon, given the way the game

:16:45. > :16:48.ended? It feels like a defeat, because of the way we played in the

:16:49. > :16:54.first half. We should be wearing those games. It is a mark of how far

:16:55. > :16:59.we have progressed. Playing against Celtic at home, it is 2-2, and that

:17:00. > :17:04.is a slight disappointment. Is that how the players feel? I asked them

:17:05. > :17:08.if they were happy with the point and they said no. We will just have

:17:09. > :17:15.to keep working and getting stronger and stronger. A 2-all draw after a

:17:16. > :17:21.fantastic match year. A last gasp goal from Osman Sow. I'm glad to say

:17:22. > :17:25.that I am joined by Ronny Deila. Merry Christmas but I guess that

:17:26. > :17:37.last-gasp goal from Osman Sow has taken some of the fest -- festive

:17:38. > :17:41.cheer out of it. Yes, it was very disappointing but luckily we did

:17:42. > :17:44.something in front of it. It was a fantastic hit. Sometimes you just

:17:45. > :17:51.have to give credit to your opponents. I think we were good

:17:52. > :18:01.today. They had good read, high-energy, and they played

:18:02. > :18:05.forward. They defended well. So some positive things, but again, in the

:18:06. > :18:09.end, it is disappointing that we only got a draw. Obviously a bad

:18:10. > :18:12.result in the defeats to Motherwell at Celtic Park. Did you get the

:18:13. > :18:18.response today from the players that you wanted? I did, and I think that

:18:19. > :18:21.is because I was frustrated after last week, where I think that we

:18:22. > :18:26.were playing as individuals, not as a team. And that is killing me

:18:27. > :18:29.inside. But today, the players, and I said to them after the game, we

:18:30. > :18:38.were fighting together and we showed spirit. Sometimes you have to give

:18:39. > :18:42.credit to your opponents, and they managed to score in the end. But we

:18:43. > :18:46.are hard to defeat when we have that energy level. A fantastic atmosphere

:18:47. > :18:52.at the stadium. How did the players react to that? I think they did very

:18:53. > :19:00.well. I think they played calmly, and was no contempt. -- with no

:19:01. > :19:03.contempt. They have a lot of Celtic fans behind them as well. He must be

:19:04. > :19:08.pleased, missing Scott Brown and Leigh Griffiths and Chris Hollins,

:19:09. > :19:12.big players for Celtic. The rest of the players seemed to stand up to

:19:13. > :19:17.the plate today. They did and it was a big test because it was a young,

:19:18. > :19:21.inexperienced team on the pitch. And I think that they responded very

:19:22. > :19:28.well. At this has to be everyday. That is top players, and top teams.

:19:29. > :19:33.You have the foundation and hard work, and communication inside the

:19:34. > :19:36.team, and then organisation. So there is a lot of positives to take

:19:37. > :19:41.out of the game but again, disappointing that we did not win.

:19:42. > :19:45.You face a lot of pressure, how difficult is it to deal with?

:19:46. > :19:50.Especially at this time of year when the fixtures are coming thick and

:19:51. > :19:55.fast? Very tough. I want to win, and also the players. My task is to give

:19:56. > :19:59.freedom to the players so that they feel free on the pitch. And I can

:20:00. > :20:05.take the blame and responsibility, no problem, as long as I see that

:20:06. > :20:09.effort on the pitch. And when that is the bottom, I know that we can

:20:10. > :20:14.take points. And finally, a few injuries today. Stuart Armstrong and

:20:15. > :20:20.Dedryck Boyata. What is the latest? I don't know. I think Dedryck Boyata

:20:21. > :20:25.pulled a hamstring and I think Stewart had problems with his back.

:20:26. > :20:28.-- Stuart Armstrong. Hopefully it is not a long thing, but it will take

:20:29. > :20:34.some time with both of them. Happy New Year when it comes. And we're

:20:35. > :20:38.joined by Michael Stewart, the former Hearts captain. 2-all, was

:20:39. > :20:44.that the right results? I don't think you can argue with the draw.

:20:45. > :20:47.Both teams put a lot into a draw. If one team was going to take it, I

:20:48. > :20:49.think Celtic would have been the winners. Especially that second-half

:20:50. > :20:58.performance, they were very dominant. But overall, I think a

:20:59. > :21:02.draw was just about right. When he surprised that Celtic took the lead

:21:03. > :21:05.early on? I think Celtic started the game very well. Hearts were on the

:21:06. > :21:09.back foot, which surprised me because I felt like they had to get

:21:10. > :21:13.on the front foot and attack Celtic if they were going to get anything

:21:14. > :21:17.out of the game. And Hearts came into the game. When Celtic took the

:21:18. > :21:24.lead, it was against the run play. But the Hearts defence, it was

:21:25. > :21:31.crazy. Kamikaze defending that Celtic exploited quickly. In

:21:32. > :21:35.contrast, you will have to say that the equaliser that Sam Nicholson was

:21:36. > :21:42.credited with, it was fantastic. It was. I think it was a great reaction

:21:43. > :21:46.from Hearts. They could easily have had their heads drop after being on

:21:47. > :21:52.top and losing that goal. They came right back into it. A great ball

:21:53. > :22:06.from Prince Buaben, and Sam Nicholson, coming back into it, not

:22:07. > :22:10.standing and admiring, like you want with a white player, he caused all

:22:11. > :22:13.sorts of problems. And he certainly managed to get the ball very well

:22:14. > :22:15.into the top corner, and he left Craig Gordon with no chance of

:22:16. > :22:18.saving it. Plenty of polity about Tom Rogic's goal. It looked like it

:22:19. > :22:22.was going to be the winning goal. It would've been. And it was a finish

:22:23. > :22:30.of quality. But again, picking the ball up, the way he was playing

:22:31. > :22:35.today, taking the touch on the half turn, sliding down, he did not just

:22:36. > :22:40.stand and admire his pass, it was brought into the edge of the box and

:22:41. > :22:42.what a fantastic finish. And like Nicholson, no chance for Craig

:22:43. > :22:47.Gordon. Alexander had no chance. A fantastic finish. Do you think Osman

:22:48. > :22:57.Sow enjoyed that moment, when this place erupted? There were quite a

:22:58. > :23:00.few occasions where the crowd got behind the team. They have put in

:23:01. > :23:03.the effort, put in the tackles, and they got on the front foot, as I

:23:04. > :23:07.spoke about. And that is what I expect them to do. When you get the

:23:08. > :23:11.advantage, it is great to take it. And I think the Hearts fans, they

:23:12. > :23:16.knew how much the players had put into it, to come up with a goal of

:23:17. > :23:21.real quality at the end, and get the result. It was a great finish to the

:23:22. > :23:26.match. More from Michael later and the rest of the Premiership

:23:27. > :23:34.highlights. Sport scene this year is seller rating its 40th birthday. We

:23:35. > :23:40.have been delving into the archive. Staying here, with Celtic in town,

:23:41. > :23:54.let me take you back to November of 1976. Battling on. Gibson going.

:23:55. > :24:12.Eight minutes, and Hearts take the lead 1-0. Thinking about a shot. And

:24:13. > :24:19.it is the goal. Two in two. Celtic pulled one back! Jim Brown is on the

:24:20. > :24:24.right, unmarked. And a big gap. Gibson coming to the near post, he

:24:25. > :24:34.must be at the far post. So is Prentice. Gibson, a hat-trick! After

:24:35. > :24:40.33 and a half minutes. 3-1. Now lacks. A great chance. -- now

:24:41. > :24:46.Lennox. Nonstop play from both sides. Even

:24:47. > :24:56.the free kicks are taken quickly. He is prepared to go on his own. It

:24:57. > :25:17.must be Dalglish! 3-3. Dalglish tries to knock it back. A

:25:18. > :25:28.chance for him. Wilson makes the save! It won't go through. He

:25:29. > :25:35.scores, for the first time in the match. Celtic take the lead 4-3.

:25:36. > :25:39.Back to the year and now, and with Celtic playing today, Aberdeen had

:25:40. > :25:42.the chance to go top of the table yesterday with victory at Pittodrie.

:25:43. > :25:47.They faced an Inverness side that ended their 100% record in the

:25:48. > :25:52.league back in September. Coventry Big Mac commentary comes from Rob

:25:53. > :25:57.Maclean. Aberdeen make just one change to the team that scored four

:25:58. > :26:04.times without reply at Kilmarnock. Graeme Shinnie is back in the field.

:26:05. > :26:10.Inverness Caley Thistle recall Stephen Raven and Carl Tremarco to

:26:11. > :26:19.the exclusion of Lewis Horner. Ross Draper has returned.

:26:20. > :26:27.Miles Storey is onside with a big early chance. Danny Ward makes the

:26:28. > :26:46.save. Beating the offside trap story.

:26:47. > :26:54.Again, Storey is into the danger zone and fails to take his chance.

:26:55. > :27:06.He has had quite an impact and is moving on loan from Swindon. Shea

:27:07. > :27:16.Logan's cross. That was dangerous. Very close. Worryingly close.

:27:17. > :27:27.Caley Thistle, glad to have Draper back in earnest. He gets the ball

:27:28. > :27:31.back. Wrestling with Quinn. He sets up Liam Polworth. And there is the

:27:32. > :27:36.opening goal for Inverness Caley Thistle. Four minutes from

:27:37. > :27:54.half-time. Out muscling Quinn and setting up Woolworth. He scored last

:27:55. > :28:03.week and this week. -- Polworth. Tanzi hits the deck. Rather

:28:04. > :28:14.theatrically. The referee is not impressed. No penalty, never a

:28:15. > :28:19.chance. Gary Warren with a free kick for Caley Thistle. It came off the

:28:20. > :28:24.head of Quinn. Draper goes down. Penalty given. And the chance for

:28:25. > :28:34.Inverness Caley Thistle to go two in front. Aberdeen are not happy with

:28:35. > :28:42.this decision. It is Tansy from the penalty spot and it is to know.

:28:43. > :28:48.Scrapping to get out of the bottom six in the Premiership. Caley

:28:49. > :28:53.Thistle, two up at Pittodrie. That is a nasty collision for Fon

:28:54. > :28:56.Williams. Cracking his head off the upright. Immediate concern about the

:28:57. > :29:15.goalkeeper. He is being patched up. Warren loses it tonight on again. He

:29:16. > :29:23.gets one back for Aberdeen. -- loses it to Nile McGeehan. Try to play the

:29:24. > :29:33.ball inside of us on the penalty box. McGinn dishes out the

:29:34. > :29:42.punishment. It is now 2-1. Jonny Hayes. Finding Ryan Jack. McGinn

:29:43. > :29:49.with a neat touch and a great effort. Aberdeen look to get

:29:50. > :30:02.something out of this game. No-one more threatening for than McGinn.

:30:03. > :30:08.Maclean is thinking about the shot and it's an absolute cracker. So

:30:09. > :30:18.close to 2-2. That was a sweet strike by Maclean. No great pressure

:30:19. > :30:25.on the ball. Hazel is allowed to play it in. That was a good blog.

:30:26. > :30:30.What is the decision? Penalty to Aberdeen inside stoppage time right

:30:31. > :30:37.at the end of the match. Handball given against Divine. And a yellow

:30:38. > :30:44.card, just to make him feel even worse. It's Rooney to the rescue

:30:45. > :30:49.again for Aberdeen. Eight goals in nine games for Aberdeen's leading

:30:50. > :31:02.marksman, 14th of the season. And a point salvaged. Taylor's header

:31:03. > :31:07.down, Rooney, and cleared by Divine. Another penalty appeal and again

:31:08. > :31:14.against Divine. Not giving this time. That's full-time at Pittodrie.

:31:15. > :31:19.A point apiece for Aberdeen and Inverness Thistle. What both teams

:31:20. > :31:25.agree upon is that they weren't happy with some of the big decisions

:31:26. > :31:34.in the game and the referee is under fire. Add 2-0 it looks as if it's

:31:35. > :31:39.going to go against us. -- at 2-0. They never gave up and they deserve

:31:40. > :31:43.so much credit. Another five minutes and we would win the game. We should

:31:44. > :31:48.have had a penalty with the last kick of the ball because it's a

:31:49. > :31:52.handball. We at least deserved a draw. The second half performance,

:31:53. > :31:56.especially the last half-hour, we have them on the ropes and we were

:31:57. > :32:01.relentless. I'm delighted that the boys got something from the game and

:32:02. > :32:06.it looked as though it was lost. I have great belief in my team.

:32:07. > :32:11.Aberdeen know they have been in a game when they play us. The teams

:32:12. > :32:14.respect each other and there are always goals. As I said before the

:32:15. > :32:19.game, I would not mind coming here every week. I enjoy the intensity

:32:20. > :32:23.and the atmosphere. The only disappointment is that we should

:32:24. > :32:28.have seen it out, we should have kept a clean sheet and held on. That

:32:29. > :32:33.has been the story of the season but I have to say, unbeaten now in three

:32:34. > :32:39.games against an Aberdeen team that is resurgent. All credit to my boys.

:32:40. > :32:44.2-2 in the end between Aberdeen and Inverness but the second week in a

:32:45. > :32:49.row Willie Carlin, the referee, right at the centre of things. What

:32:50. > :32:56.did you think of the decision? Horrendous. Second week in around

:32:57. > :33:01.that they find themselves talking about Willie and his bizarre

:33:02. > :33:04.decisions. He has given four penalties and everyone has been a

:33:05. > :33:09.poor decision. If you are under any doubt as a referee you can't give

:33:10. > :33:13.it. On too many occasions he has been far too quick to make decisions

:33:14. > :33:21.when he's not sure. Is there a case to say that it was a tad clumsy by

:33:22. > :33:25.Quinn? Is that a defence? Not really. We play football and not

:33:26. > :33:31.basketball so you will always have coming together of bodies. What you

:33:32. > :33:36.see in the replay is that Draper gets himself in front of Quinn and

:33:37. > :33:43.almost kicked his legs into him. You cannot apportion any blame. He is

:33:44. > :33:48.trying to get back in position, I is on the ball. The referee is not far

:33:49. > :33:54.away. He should be seeing that. -- his eyes are on the ball. You have

:33:55. > :33:56.to understand and have a bit of game knowledge and realise when guys

:33:57. > :34:01.genuinely are doing something and when they are trying to con them,

:34:02. > :34:05.and far too often he falls on the wrong side and makes crazy

:34:06. > :34:10.decisions. He was certainly aggrieved when you is penalised for

:34:11. > :34:18.handball, what was your view? The only credit I can give him is that

:34:19. > :34:24.he was in the right position. Divine comes charging out and yes his arms

:34:25. > :34:29.are up, but it hits him in the midriff, and that is why Divine is

:34:30. > :34:34.so I rate that the decision was given against him. It is so late in

:34:35. > :34:38.the game and they lose two points. Right at the end he felt Carl

:34:39. > :34:43.Tremarco handled the ball? It's difficult to tell from the position

:34:44. > :34:47.of the cameras and also you have to not put on too much pressure. He

:34:48. > :34:55.can't really see. The only thing that gives it away is Tremarco's

:34:56. > :35:02.body language. He looks guilty. Complete contrast, going crazy,

:35:03. > :35:06.Divine. Tremarco definitely looks guilty. He cannot see so it's

:35:07. > :35:11.difficult to say. Dundee racked up the goals last weekend with a 4-0

:35:12. > :35:18.victory against Hamilton Academicals. They are against Ross

:35:19. > :35:23.County. Commentary from John Barnes. COMMENTATOR: The Ross County manager

:35:24. > :35:27.Jim McIntyre makes one change as Murdoch comes in in midfield.

:35:28. > :35:32.Jackson Irvine has to be content with a place on the bench. Dundee

:35:33. > :35:37.again without the experienced midfielder Thompson through injury.

:35:38. > :35:45.Replaced by the former Caley Thistle man Ross.

:35:46. > :35:59.Harkins finds Greg Stewart. Looking dangerous. Setting up the goal. Find

:36:00. > :36:05.running with only five minutes played this week. You have to keep a

:36:06. > :36:17.close eye on him. A lovely pass by Stewart, setting up the opportunity

:36:18. > :36:23.for Hemmings to claim his 10th of the season. Stewart tries to curl it

:36:24. > :36:26.and that is terrific goalkeeping by Fox. Good effort by Stewart.

:36:27. > :36:41.Excellent save. Davis wins the header. Here is Liam

:36:42. > :36:48.Boyce. He gets there ahead of the goalkeeper. And County are level.

:36:49. > :37:00.That is how to return quickly into the attack. And Boyce levels it up.

:37:01. > :37:13.That was a good ball through by Boyce. Sets up the opportunity.

:37:14. > :37:16.That's good goalkeeping by Bain. The home side are determined to get

:37:17. > :37:24.their noses in front. He flicks it on. Boyce could sit back and this is

:37:25. > :37:30.a chance! It bounces off the goalkeeper. -- cuts it back. Cutting

:37:31. > :37:37.that run across and then Martin Woods with the strike. -- cutting

:37:38. > :37:43.bad one across. This time last season Ross County were bottom of

:37:44. > :37:47.the table. Here is Greg Stewart. Surging format, setting up Hemmings

:37:48. > :37:56.again. And Hemmings livers. -- surging forward. That's a double.

:37:57. > :37:59.Five goals in two matches. Stewart again with the assist. Hemmings with

:38:00. > :38:23.his 11th of the campaign. Michael Gardyne. That's an excellent

:38:24. > :38:27.finish with the left foot. It looked for a second as though he had lost

:38:28. > :38:33.the opportunity as the ball seems to go across him too far, but he

:38:34. > :38:34.adjusts well to fire that one in. And put Ross County back on level

:38:35. > :38:45.terms. Franks with the corner. There is

:38:46. > :38:49.Jackson Irvine. The ball is deemed to have crossed the line. They

:38:50. > :38:54.thought it was played away but the goal has been given and the

:38:55. > :39:00.substitute claims his second of the season. And Ross County are now

:39:01. > :39:08.three in front. That was a good finish by the Australian. Woods with

:39:09. > :39:15.the corner. Dundee are just trying to get it away anywhere. That was

:39:16. > :39:28.turned away well by Scott Bain. It was a difficult one to deal with.

:39:29. > :39:36.Franks plays it down the line. Ross County have twice come from behind.

:39:37. > :39:44.That's a good ball in. That is a brilliant strike by Liam Boyce. For

:39:45. > :39:46.his second goal of the afternoon. Terrific acrobatics are there.

:39:47. > :39:59.Latching on to the cross from Foster.

:40:00. > :40:07.Record is invited to go forward again. Tries to deal with it and

:40:08. > :40:12.Boyce comes in at the back post for the hat-trick. Five minutes left to

:40:13. > :40:18.play. The Northern Ireland pouncing here. They fail to clear it and he

:40:19. > :40:22.gets his second hat-trick of the season having scored three against

:40:23. > :40:28.Falkirk in the League Cup in September. That is number 17 this

:40:29. > :40:38.season. County are still looking for a sixth. It bounces back to Davis,

:40:39. > :40:43.that is so close. Andrew Davies. It's a terrific performance by

:40:44. > :40:47.county to secure the win. The one thing I know we have in the dressing

:40:48. > :40:51.room is character. And they keep showing it week in week out, the

:40:52. > :40:55.adversity of going behind and we know the character they have and

:40:56. > :41:00.they will keep doing the right things and that is why we won the

:41:01. > :41:05.match today. Keep in the right areas and doing the right things and we

:41:06. > :41:10.scored quality goals. We started brightly and were threatening going

:41:11. > :41:13.forward. It's a difficult venue. Taking the lead for a second time

:41:14. > :41:22.and we could not hold it for long enough. As long as I'm scoring goals

:41:23. > :41:27.I don't care how they come. Any particular targets for the season in

:41:28. > :41:33.terms of goals? We always think intends. I got temperately quickly

:41:34. > :41:39.and now I'm going to get to 20. Liam Boyce, a remarkable goal-scoring

:41:40. > :41:44.record, 25 appearances and 17 goals and he's making a huge difference

:41:45. > :41:49.for Ross County. Of course, any side with a guy who can score so many

:41:50. > :41:54.goals will make a huge difference. We have seen the game today at

:41:55. > :41:59.Tynecastle, goals change games and Liam Boyce is certainly changing the

:42:00. > :42:04.games for Ross County now. Were you surprised by the 5-2 scoreline,

:42:05. > :42:08.Dundee had beaten Hamilton last week. It sums up the craziness of

:42:09. > :42:16.the league and the unpredictability of so many teams competing. Paul

:42:17. > :42:19.Hartley talked about the game yesterday, and the disappointment.

:42:20. > :42:23.The number of times I have seen Dundee looking dangerous going

:42:24. > :42:27.forward this season, lots of threat at one end with Hemmings and

:42:28. > :42:34.Stewart, but defensively they give away crazy goals at times. So in

:42:35. > :42:38.terms of whether it is a surprising result, it is so unpredictable in

:42:39. > :42:42.this league that nothing can really surprise you or give you a shock.

:42:43. > :42:47.Lots of goals and hopefully good entertainment for the fans, guys

:42:48. > :42:52.that you spoke about like Liam Boyce, he can score goals and it is

:42:53. > :42:56.no surprise he got a hat-trick. Dundee have the visit of Celtic

:42:57. > :43:02.next. Rumours have suggested that Gary Locke was sacked by Kilmarnock

:43:03. > :43:06.but he continued in his post and he drives to keep them away from

:43:07. > :43:12.relegation. Kilmarnock looking for their first ever victory at new

:43:13. > :43:14.Douglas Park against Hamilton at ease.

:43:15. > :43:26.COMMENTATOR: Garcia and Longridge return after the defeat at Dundee

:43:27. > :43:37.last time. Commander also shipped four goals. Five changes. --

:43:38. > :43:42.Kilmarnock also shipped. Looking to get on the front foot from the off.

:43:43. > :43:48.That is Crawford, slipping if through to Longridge. Good covering

:43:49. > :43:54.tackle by Findlay. Looked as though it would open up for a second full

:43:55. > :44:01.Longridge. Good defending. -- for Longridge. Lifted towards the back

:44:02. > :44:05.post and indeed the referee has given a foul against the big

:44:06. > :44:14.defender, feeling that the arms were up there. Academicals come forward

:44:15. > :44:19.again. He seems to have support and that's a clever pass towards

:44:20. > :44:24.Longridge. And eventually the shot is blocked. That was a very good

:44:25. > :44:33.ball. Looked as though Longridge might pull the trigger. It is

:44:34. > :44:42.blocked again. First-time ball towards McGinn. Forced out wide but

:44:43. > :44:49.comes inside, what can he do? Just turned around the post. Good play by

:44:50. > :44:53.the Northern Irish striker. Getting away from two strikers and could

:44:54. > :45:00.have taken it earlier. The angle narrowed on him and he can only

:45:01. > :45:08.force the corner. Smith slides it across the field. Michael McGovern

:45:09. > :45:11.can only parry that away. It was a tricky one to deal with on this wet

:45:12. > :45:20.surface. Certainly worth a go from there.

:45:21. > :45:28.It is headed away, that's a nice ball into Crawford. He wants to come

:45:29. > :45:35.back on his left foot. That's a brilliant clearance on the line. He

:45:36. > :45:44.must have thought he had scored. That's a brilliant clearance.

:45:45. > :45:53.He looks form again as. A good save for Michael McGovern. -- looks for

:45:54. > :46:07.Magennis. A lovely cushioned effort from Magennis. Crawford delivering.

:46:08. > :46:13.Tagliapietra defending again. A dangerous ball from Crawford. Not

:46:14. > :46:21.really clear what happened there, but the big defender had a bit of

:46:22. > :46:26.trouble. Played into the feet of McGuinness. But he lost control of

:46:27. > :46:36.that. Managed to win it back, the big striker. -- the feet of

:46:37. > :46:40.Magennis. A strong challenge. Rights to Imrie. In re comes inside and

:46:41. > :46:46.that is a weak effort in the end. An easy save for McDonald. He did well

:46:47. > :46:54.to cut into the left foot but not enough power from Imrie. Magennis,

:46:55. > :47:11.towards the back post. There other died! -- there is Obadeyi. Come on

:47:12. > :47:17.1-0 up. A wonderful clip to the back post from Magennis. Obadeyi did not

:47:18. > :47:27.mean to put it there, but it works well. The ball goes over McGovern

:47:28. > :47:33.and Killie are up. A wretched time for Kilmarnock, over two months

:47:34. > :47:43.without a victory. Towards Obadeyi at the back post again. Back to

:47:44. > :47:54.guilty. A brilliant save by Michael McGovern. -- back to Kiltie. Sheer

:47:55. > :48:05.determination from Kiltie to keep a hold of the ball, and then a nice

:48:06. > :48:10.interchange with Frizzell. Can Hamilton grab something? In the end,

:48:11. > :48:18.it is a pretty tame header from Brophy. The header was straight at

:48:19. > :48:24.Macdonald. It is just one of those days. In terms of workrate and

:48:25. > :48:28.performance, I thought we did enough. But we did not win the game.

:48:29. > :48:32.And there comes a point where that comes an issue. If we are performing

:48:33. > :48:35.well but not winning, you have to perform well and win. I am aware

:48:36. > :48:39.that we have been inconsistent and we have said to the players, let's

:48:40. > :48:43.find a level of consistency. We seem to be going from one extreme to

:48:44. > :48:49.another. It is frustrating because if we knew why that was, we would

:48:50. > :48:54.fix it. It is a great result for us. We have to build on it. The last few

:48:55. > :48:59.weeks have been very disappointing with results. And the manner of the

:49:00. > :49:04.defeats as well has been disappointing. The comments here

:49:05. > :49:08.today, the boys were tarred, and that is the point the gaffer was

:49:09. > :49:14.making. -- to come out here today, the boys worked hard. Eventually we

:49:15. > :49:18.have got what we wanted today. It was a great team performance. That

:49:19. > :49:26.was a huge victory for Gary Locke, wasn't it? It was. It has been a

:49:27. > :49:29.terrible string of results but to get the victory and the clean sheet

:49:30. > :49:33.will have been pleasing. He has been under pressure, talking about Dundee

:49:34. > :49:38.giving away sloppy goals, Kilmarnock are just the same. They have given

:49:39. > :49:41.away a lot of pure goals, poor defending. He will be really happy

:49:42. > :49:50.to get the goal, and could get the clean sheet. -- and get the clean

:49:51. > :49:54.sheet. Kilmarnock are now ten points clear at the bottom, it is a

:49:55. > :49:58.condition that will give them hope. Yes. Not only does it give them the

:49:59. > :50:02.confidence that they are pulling away from Dundee United, but they

:50:03. > :50:07.are only a point behind the teams in front of them. As I said, if you get

:50:08. > :50:12.a result like that, it is huge. But you have to follow it up with the

:50:13. > :50:16.results or it becomes worthless. This time of year, with so many

:50:17. > :50:20.games back-to-back, it is a great time to come into a run of form.

:50:21. > :50:25.Accies getting dragged into it with just one win from the last ten? A

:50:26. > :50:33.month ago, Partick Thistle were down there, and Accies were in the top

:50:34. > :50:37.six. It has been a roller-coaster. If they do not get results quickly,

:50:38. > :50:42.they could find themselves getting dragged into the play-off spot. And

:50:43. > :50:47.it is getting very tight in the Ladbrokes SPFL Premiership. Let's

:50:48. > :50:51.look at the table. Celtic, one point clear of Aberdeen with a game in

:50:52. > :50:58.hand. Hearts, nine points further behind. At the bottom, Dundee

:50:59. > :51:04.United, the match postponed yesterday. They are now ten points

:51:05. > :51:09.adrift at the bottom of the table. A huge match tomorrow in the SPFL

:51:10. > :51:14.Ladbrokes challenge, as Rangers take on Hibs. Both sides level on points

:51:15. > :51:19.at the top of the division. A match that the whole country is looking

:51:20. > :51:24.forward to. Which side goes in as favourites or is it too close to

:51:25. > :51:27.call? It is too close to call. Like today, everybody has been looking

:51:28. > :51:30.forward to it. And this one definitely lived up to the billing.

:51:31. > :51:37.Hopefully tomorrow will be the same. There is a lot riding on it. Both

:51:38. > :51:39.teams, as you said, locked at the top of the division. Hibs on an

:51:40. > :51:46.unbelievable run of form and Rangers going through the first shaky form

:51:47. > :51:50.of the season. At home, you would maybe give it to them but because of

:51:51. > :51:55.Hibs' form, you might go back towards them. Too close to call. Any

:51:56. > :51:58.result could come out of the back of it. But if Rangers win, it gives

:51:59. > :52:02.them a lift and kick-starts the season. If Hibernian will offer

:52:03. > :52:07.results, it compounds the great run they are on and shows Rangers that

:52:08. > :52:11.Hibs are a serious challenger. How much do the previous league matches

:52:12. > :52:15.this season tell us about the moral? Rangers were narrowly victorious at

:52:16. > :52:21.Ibrox and then Hibs beat Rangers at Easter Road. It shows you what we're

:52:22. > :52:27.talking about. -- tell us about tomorrow. The draw could easily

:52:28. > :52:30.happen. Hibs strike me as a different beast. They have grit and

:52:31. > :52:39.determination and they are not a team you would clash as -- class as

:52:40. > :52:42.a Hibs of your guns -- years gone by. They will go to Ibrox fully

:52:43. > :52:47.confident that they can get a result. So bottle is a key factor.

:52:48. > :52:52.Which players will be key? I think across the park there will be a lot

:52:53. > :52:59.of good match ups but the John McGinn for Hibs, getting that red

:53:00. > :53:03.card, and playing in the game, that will be vital for them. Rangers, the

:53:04. > :53:07.backline is exposed against Falkirk, and they have to come up with the

:53:08. > :53:11.goods. Andy Halliday in front of them will have an important part to

:53:12. > :53:16.play. So when massive match at Ibrox tomorrow and you can listen live on

:53:17. > :53:22.BBC Radio Scotland. Coverage begins at 2pm. And you can watch highlights

:53:23. > :53:27.from midnight at the BBC sports Scotland website. Thanks to Michael

:53:28. > :53:31.Stewart. That is it for us this evening and that is it for sports

:53:32. > :53:34.scene for 2015. We are back next weekend when we will bring in the

:53:35. > :53:38.New Year with you, hopefully with plenty of goals and talking points,

:53:39. > :53:44.but for now, I hope Santa was good for you -- good to you.
