:00:54. > :01:04.He has saved it, Raith Rovers have won the League Cup!

:01:05. > :01:11.That has gone straight into the net, won the League Cup!

:01:12. > :01:13.it is sensational here in Munich! And Raith Rovers are into the

:01:14. > :01:22.semifinals of the Scottish Cup for the first time in 47 years.

:01:23. > :01:33.Raith Rovers have won the Ramsdens Cup!

:01:34. > :01:35.Rangers one, Raith Rovers two! Raith Rovers have built up an

:01:36. > :01:38.impressive collection of cup classics over the years and the

:01:39. > :01:41.impressive collection of cup Kirkcaldy club look to add to those

:01:42. > :01:45.magical memories here today. Robbers are not in great form at the moment

:01:46. > :01:49.but the same can be said of their Premiership opponents, Hearts have

:01:50. > :01:56.won only once in the five matches since the much talked about Ian

:01:57. > :01:59.Cathro took charge. Well, to Stark's Park, that is the Williams Hill

:02:00. > :02:02.Scottish Cup fourth round, Raith Rovers against Hearts, and live here

:02:03. > :02:07.on the BBC will stop in the company of these two alongside me, former

:02:08. > :02:13.Hearts captain Michael Stuart and northern Ireland manager Michael

:02:14. > :02:16.O'Neill. Ian Cathro, number two, Michael, is your number two at

:02:17. > :02:19.international level, Austin McCrea. You will have an insight and

:02:20. > :02:23.awareness of the amazing pressure both of those are under.

:02:24. > :02:27.Yes, it has been a challenging time, Austin has done great work as part

:02:28. > :02:31.of my backroom staff and the international scene. He has heard

:02:32. > :02:35.involvement previously with St Mirren but this is a great

:02:36. > :02:38.opportunity for him and Ian Cathro. They have been unfairly judged and

:02:39. > :02:42.harshly criticised at times. They are both young and very

:02:43. > :02:47.enthusiastic. Given time, they will do well, but it is a big game today.

:02:48. > :02:50.Raith Rovers got off to a great start under Gary Locke but at the

:02:51. > :02:53.moment they are in shocking form, they have not won since the end of

:02:54. > :03:03.October and scored only three goals in those nine games. Not a great

:03:04. > :03:06.run, but this will be a tough game for Hearts. There are a lot of

:03:07. > :03:09.players and on the coaching staff as well, connections to Tynecastle and

:03:10. > :03:11.it will be desperate to put in a great performance. From the heart 's

:03:12. > :03:15.perspective, a huge crowd behind us, a big amount of expectation, a tough

:03:16. > :03:20.place to come to and with three games in the week coming up against

:03:21. > :03:31.Rangers, Celtic and Motherwell, there is meant that the board wants

:03:32. > :03:34.to build up going those games. But the big travelling support, there is

:03:35. > :03:37.pressure on the players to make sure they get a result at Stark's Park

:03:38. > :03:39.and get into the next round of the cup. Someone else that Michael knows

:03:40. > :03:42.well is Aaron Hughes, they could be crucial to the back lane of Hearts

:03:43. > :03:46.today, three quarters of it has changed. Aaron Hughes is a player I

:03:47. > :03:50.know well, people might look at his age but he is a super athlete and

:03:51. > :03:53.professional. I think it would be a real positive for Hearts around the

:03:54. > :03:59.club to have him here. John Souttar is a young centre-back. I think

:04:00. > :04:04.Aaron will help him. It will be a big gas today, three players coming

:04:05. > :04:07.in to a brand-new back for essentially. It is a real positive

:04:08. > :04:13.to have someone of Aaron Hughes's quality to come and to this club.

:04:14. > :04:18.From a Scottish perspective, we are struggling at centre-half, coming

:04:19. > :04:21.end beside John Souttar is a big positive because we have to get more

:04:22. > :04:24.centre has entered a national side. John Souttar has the ability but

:04:25. > :04:27.centre has entered a national side. playing alongside Aaron Hughes will

:04:28. > :04:32.hopefully develop as a player as well. So important that Hearts set

:04:33. > :04:36.the tone, it could turn nasty for them. Yes, Raith Rovers want to make

:04:37. > :04:41.this a horrible cup-tied, they do not want to let Hearts settle into

:04:42. > :04:46.the game. They want them to feel the pressure of the crowd. We could have

:04:47. > :04:52.a really good cup-tied today. The teams are in the tunnel, let us get

:04:53. > :04:58.to the action. To your commentators, Steven Thompson and Leah McLeod.

:04:59. > :05:03.Thank you, Rob, good afternoon, first Scottish Cup meeting between

:05:04. > :05:10.these two size since January 's 1979. It is a fixture Hearts have

:05:11. > :05:14.historically dominated with most expecting that to continue today.

:05:15. > :05:18.You have to go to September 1993 to find a Raith Rovers victory over

:05:19. > :05:22.their lecturers. Sinclair scoring the winner at Tynecastle against a

:05:23. > :05:29.hard side that featured current Raith Rovers boss Gary Locke.

:05:30. > :05:32.Subplots all over the place today. None of the matter, it is about

:05:33. > :05:38.getting into the fifth round of the door which takes place later on.

:05:39. > :05:44.Despite perform as mentioned, Raith Rovers stick largely with the team

:05:45. > :05:53.from last week. Ryan Stevenson, the former Hearts player, he is

:05:54. > :05:58.suspended. Kevin McHattie he also plays. Mark Stewart recently signed

:05:59. > :06:03.a new deal and replaces Ryan Hardie. A start for young midfielder Scott

:06:04. > :06:09.Matthews as well. No fewer than four Debbie Jevans in the heart starting

:06:10. > :06:13.XI, three at the back but Struna, dues and saw were all thrown into

:06:14. > :06:17.the team. Further up the park, Malaury Martin will play behind the

:06:18. > :06:23.striker, the rest of the team will be more familiar to the rest of the

:06:24. > :06:26.Hearts supporters. Plenty of firepower on the bench of Raith

:06:27. > :06:32.Rovers with McManus, Hardie and Skacel on the substitutes bench. He

:06:33. > :06:42.has twice won this tournament with Hearts. Darren Jackson, he had a

:06:43. > :06:46.spell at Tynecastle as a player. Gary Locke, the pressure beginning

:06:47. > :06:55.to build on him, as it is with Ian Cathro, just the one win so far.

:06:56. > :07:00.John Beaton in charge, 35-year-old communications officer who was in

:07:01. > :07:05.charge in last year's semifinals which was won by Hibernian against

:07:06. > :07:15.Dundee United. Big game, difficult cup tie for Hearts. Since beating

:07:16. > :07:20.Queen of the South and October, the house but to sixth in the Cadillac

:07:21. > :07:24.Championship. We have only scored twice in their last six games. A

:07:25. > :07:29.dramatic drop given that they won their first three matches in the

:07:30. > :07:31.league and were third as recently as late autumn. Hearts not feeling too

:07:32. > :07:37.much better in the Premiership right now. Just the one victory over Ian

:07:38. > :07:40.Cathro so far. Six points off of Aberdeen in third position having

:07:41. > :07:44.played one game more. Steven Thompson joined me for this one. The

:07:45. > :07:49.site is not in form and this is as good a place to start kicking on as

:07:50. > :07:54.any. Yes, not informed, Raith Rovers have set up a rigid 4-5-1, five in

:07:55. > :08:00.the midfield looking to the state Hearts. During the week Ian Cathro

:08:01. > :08:03.reiterated time and again his desire for an explosive start for Hearts.

:08:04. > :08:11.It has been an interesting open spell. Hearts have not gone beyond

:08:12. > :08:17.the fifth round since 2012 but to be fair to them, they were twice peered

:08:18. > :08:28.already taken a banned the disease. already taken a banned the disease.

:08:29. > :08:32.-- E Bang to the face. A concern early on for Hearts. Callum Paterson

:08:33. > :08:38.is of course out injured and has been for a long time. Jimmy Walker

:08:39. > :08:42.has been the star of the season. He has been excellent, ten goals so far

:08:43. > :08:48.this season. That looked like a bit of a rolled elbow as he went up for

:08:49. > :08:50.the challenge. He has been a talisman for Hearts this season and

:08:51. > :08:55.he will be hoping to shake this off very quickly. Also had a spell at

:08:56. > :09:03.Raith Rovers, Jimmy Walker. You can see the look on Ian Cathro's

:09:04. > :09:11.feistier, a little bit of concern. -- Ian Cathro's says.

:09:12. > :09:19.If he gets that nose fixed up, I am sure he will be OK to continue.

:09:20. > :09:29.Davidson, the right-back, a Hall of Fame for Raith Rovers. Former

:09:30. > :09:41.midfield player. The experienced Don Cowie.

:09:42. > :09:50.This is John Niamh local who is playing at centre-half for Raith

:09:51. > :10:00.Rovers today. -- Jean-Yves Mvoto. He has been a mainstay in the Rovers

:10:01. > :10:05.backline the season. It was always going to be a difficult job for Gary

:10:06. > :10:13.Locke, after his predecessor took Raith Rovers into the play-offs last

:10:14. > :10:20.season before moving on to manage Dundee United, Ray McKinnon. John

:10:21. > :10:21.Souttar, just the seven years younger than his central defensive

:10:22. > :10:37.partner today, Aaron Hughes. Over 100 caps for Northern Ireland,

:10:38. > :10:43.in fact, he got the 100th cap just before the European Championship

:10:44. > :10:48.finals. That was in the summer. He played in the Europa League final

:10:49. > :10:56.for Fulham in Berlin, in fact, I think it was Hamburg. It was

:10:57. > :11:02.Atletico Madrid, it was a goal for van's inspired side that would get

:11:03. > :11:10.their hands on the trophy. -- it was a Diego Forlan's. It'll be

:11:11. > :11:15.interesting to see how Martin does. Djoum has been playing previously in

:11:16. > :11:21.that position but he is at the Africa Cup of Nations. He had been

:11:22. > :11:35.linking up well. Interesting to see how Martin does in that area.

:11:36. > :11:41.Here is Don Cowie. Walker seems to be shoved off the ball. Stuart

:11:42. > :11:50.winning it back for Rovers. Knocked be shoved off the ball. Stuart

:11:51. > :11:55.into touch by Matthews. Well, Gary Locke felt hard done by when he was

:11:56. > :12:00.removed from his post as Hearts boss on the day that Aaron Boyd and Craig

:12:01. > :12:07.Levein swept to power. Replaced by Robbie Neilson. And Hearts have not

:12:08. > :12:14.really kicked the ball since Robbie Neilson left. The dead beat, but by

:12:15. > :12:17.a really heavy scoreline at Tynecastle, it has been the only

:12:18. > :12:24.victory so far for Ian Cathro. We were both that the game. We saw them

:12:25. > :12:29.play at Tynecastle in Robbie Neilson's last game in charge

:12:30. > :12:31.against Rangers and it was hugely impressive that day but they have

:12:32. > :12:37.been nowhere near that standard sense. Yes, he has had a couple of

:12:38. > :12:41.difficult weeks, a sticky start. Hopefully in the January transfer

:12:42. > :12:48.window he can help the side and put a plan together. We have not seen

:12:49. > :12:53.that so far. Gary Locke will have a point to

:12:54. > :12:59.prove to the Hearts board who will be watching in the Main stand over

:13:00. > :13:08.there. The packed streetside of Stark's Park. Hearts are in their

:13:09. > :13:18.changed colour is shooting south in this first half. It is a brilliant

:13:19. > :13:22.or not, you must say, from the Hearts supporters, coming over the

:13:23. > :13:30.bridge. Good ball by Hamilton, looking for Johnsen. He was superb

:13:31. > :13:34.that night against Rangers. Managed to control a ball that was above his

:13:35. > :13:40.head and bearing in mind he is six foot five, quite impressive! Do you

:13:41. > :13:43.know what, his first touch is excellent for quite a big man. When

:13:44. > :13:47.know what, his first touch is it comes up to Mark Stewart, he has

:13:48. > :13:51.a huge job on his hands to make sure that he retains the ball because the

:13:52. > :13:53.Raith Rovers midfield are quite detached from him so he has to link

:13:54. > :14:06.the play well. Here is Johnsen. detached from him so he has to link

:14:07. > :14:10.Really annoyed last year, Hearts, going out eventually to the winners

:14:11. > :14:16.of the tournament after a replay. Lead 2-0 at home but ended up going

:14:17. > :14:31.out. Jason Cummings scoring the winner in the replay for Hibernian.

:14:32. > :14:38.We all heard that. Nowak. Here comes Raith Rovers, Jordan Thompson, he is

:14:39. > :14:47.on loan from Rangers. Looking for bar. Good play from Bobby Barr.

:14:48. > :14:55.Recently any game against Falkirk, Barr started on the left. But they

:14:56. > :15:07.ended up losing 4-1 despite scoring first. Really disappointing for

:15:08. > :15:14.them. Falkirk ended up running amok. Straight alt to the side and put out

:15:15. > :15:22.by Matthews. Trying to link the play with Johnson. -- Johnsen. He has a

:15:23. > :15:29.big task on his hands today. First chance for Hearts to swing in this

:15:30. > :15:34.poll from the near side corner. You can see that the right-back Struna

:15:35. > :15:43.has a will to get forward and join the attack, much like Callum

:15:44. > :15:54.Paterson. Kevin McHattie, felt the full force of his effort. The corner

:15:55. > :16:07.from Martin. Not exactly what Sowah was hoping for. Here is Mvoto...

:16:08. > :16:13.Perhaps fell to the right person if you all are from the Raith Rovers

:16:14. > :16:22.persuasion. It was a decent ball in. Saw the headlights, when for the

:16:23. > :16:25.speculative volley. He has just come from Hamilton, former German youth

:16:26. > :16:33.international. Here comes Bobby Barr. Promising from Raith Rovers

:16:34. > :16:42.here. Callachan. John Souttar got in the way. Relieved. Certainly got the

:16:43. > :16:43.home fans believing. That they could possibly cause a shock this

:16:44. > :17:01.afternoon. Johnsen. Went on a fabulous run last season

:17:02. > :17:09.under Ray McKinnon, Johnson. 15 begins. They have been poor recent

:17:10. > :17:17.times, Rovers, still only three points off where they were at this

:17:18. > :17:19.stage last season. Good second half of the campaign again and they could

:17:20. > :17:30.well be back in the promotion play-off places.

:17:31. > :17:32.That must have been in Gary Locke's mind when he took the job. Perry

:17:33. > :17:50.Kitchen. Wins the free kick. There is not too much in that for

:17:51. > :18:00.me. Just getting his body in between the ball and Perry Kitchen. John

:18:01. > :18:08.Beaton giving the free kick. A cold afternoon in eastern five. Fife.

:18:09. > :18:23.Martin Canning take a good free kick, in towards the sick Chardy

:18:24. > :18:34.area but it is booted clear. Here is Martin again. You know what he

:18:35. > :18:37.wanted to do, Liam, saw the headlines speculatively try to put

:18:38. > :18:41.it into the top corner but got it all wrong. Ten metres over the bar.

:18:42. > :18:45.It has been a fairly passive start from Hearts, you have to say. Not

:18:46. > :18:49.the explosive start that Ian Cathro was looking for. For me, Raith

:18:50. > :18:54.Rovers, it is that transition when you win the ball. They have done it

:18:55. > :19:03.on a couple of occasions so far in the match. Just missing that bit of

:19:04. > :19:09.quality in the final area. It will be even more frustrating for Ian

:19:10. > :19:18.Cathro given that he is missing the lights of Rherras and others at the

:19:19. > :19:29.Africa Cup of Nations. Rherras did not come on for Morocco against

:19:30. > :19:37.Tongo -- Togo and Congo. It is a huge miss for Hearts. Martin,

:19:38. > :19:45.looking to make an impression. Here is Callachan. Bobby Barr rampaging

:19:46. > :19:53.forward with only one to fit in the middle. That is two or three

:19:54. > :19:58.locations when Bobby Barr has made runs down the side, he has obvious

:19:59. > :19:59.place. Clever play putting it out for the throw-in and getting Raith

:20:00. > :20:23.Rovers up the pitch, however. Sowah loses out. Mark Stewart. This

:20:24. > :20:25.is Callachan. Benedictins. Former Dundee defender. -- Ryan

:20:26. > :20:50.Benedictins. -- Kyle Benedictus. John Souttar. Nice flick by Cowie.

:20:51. > :20:53.Gary Locke and Darren Jackson, Stephen, they will be keen to test

:20:54. > :20:59.the Hearts defence, three of which are brand-new. Yes, you wonder...

:21:00. > :21:03.They have not had a lot of time to gel and they have always they worked

:21:04. > :21:08.on things in training, they have had the few bits of the January break to

:21:09. > :21:11.meet together. Some of them only signed last week, not a lot of time

:21:12. > :21:20.to get to know each other. Obviously, Aaron Hughes in there,

:21:21. > :21:29.they will march of the defence. But to put the players straight into a

:21:30. > :21:44.back four, that is unusual for me. Struna, Don Cowie. Nowak. The poll

:21:45. > :21:54.to the Slovenian. Walker, better from Hearts. It goes for the corner

:21:55. > :22:00.from Iain Davidson. Good play again from Martin, when it comes at the

:22:01. > :22:03.Jamie Walker, a fantastic ball in, putting it into a dangerous area.

:22:04. > :22:18.Get his head on to it but could not get enough direction on it. Better

:22:19. > :22:28.from Hearts. Martin to take. Had a spell at Middlesbrough in England.

:22:29. > :22:33.For the head of Callachan. Johnston boots it as far away as he could.

:22:34. > :22:38.Mark Stewart gives chase. Keeping an eye on things is Aaron Hughes. Just

:22:39. > :22:46.back from a spell in India, Aaron Hughes. He did well to recover that

:22:47. > :22:51.situation, I thought he should have gone and met the ball before it

:22:52. > :22:59.landed, but he hesitated but recovered well. Experienced centre

:23:00. > :23:06.are. Played for the Blasters in India, Aaron Hughes. John Souttar.

:23:07. > :23:34.McHattie is there. Bobby Barr has already put in a lot

:23:35. > :23:43.of work. He is OK. Long throw from Struna here. Johnsen. McHattie gets

:23:44. > :23:54.it clear. Nodded back in again by Souttar. Kevin McHattie seems to

:23:55. > :24:00.follow Gary Locke Rather, he was with him at command as well. For a

:24:01. > :24:23.short time. -- he was with him at Kilmarnock as well.

:24:24. > :24:52.Get it back from Kitchen. Souttar. Cowie. First time from Kitchen for

:24:53. > :24:56.Struna. Another corner for the visitors. Beginning to now get into

:24:57. > :25:00.their stride. Exceptional football from Hearts, four or five passes,

:25:01. > :25:03.coming out to Struna who is rampaging down this right-hand side

:25:04. > :25:08.at every opportunity. Does well to force the corner. You have to say,

:25:09. > :25:16.really good tracking back as well from Chris Johnston. Good to see

:25:17. > :25:21.Chris Johnston back in the team and playing football after that

:25:22. > :25:27.horrendous injury. The corner comes in, bulleted towards goal! That is

:25:28. > :25:35.as close as anyone has come. It stays at 0-0. He should have hit the

:25:36. > :25:40.target. Great delivery, get it on target, anywhere on target and it is

:25:41. > :25:48.a goal. Just directed pack past the post. But you must get that on

:25:49. > :25:50.target. I have been really impressed by Martin, he has been involved in

:25:51. > :25:53.target. I have been really impressed everything good from Hearts so far.

:25:54. > :26:04.Perry Kitchen yet to score so far this season.

:26:05. > :26:13.New defence in front of Jack Hamilton, that will take a bit of

:26:14. > :26:17.getting used to. Several of the defence has left the club. At the

:26:18. > :26:24.other end of the park, Tony Watt, his loan deal was cut short.

:26:25. > :26:32.Matthews boogies Cowie of the ball. Mark Stewart.

:26:33. > :26:41.Promising from a Raith Rovers point of view. The first real ball into

:26:42. > :26:47.the box. Ball bounces just in front of him. Does well to get anything on

:26:48. > :26:52.that. Raith Rovers will be happy at 0-0 so far. They have conceded eight

:26:53. > :26:56.goals in the past three games and lost all of those games. It is

:26:57. > :27:00.important to gain a foothold in the first 20 minutes, Gary Locke will be

:27:01. > :27:05.very happy with that. Defeat here to Dunfermline will have stuck in their

:27:06. > :27:10.minds more than anything. Also lost to Morton. Was there the Bishop for

:27:11. > :27:12.an advantage to be played there, Steven Thompson? I would have

:27:13. > :27:34.thought so. Should have let it go. Free kick it is. Mvoto, he was

:27:35. > :27:39.pushing Johnsen to the ground. He is certainly a big man, Mvoto. Decent

:27:40. > :27:44.ball in from Davidson, he is angry, he was always going to win the

:27:45. > :27:46.header, no need to make the contact. Gave away a silly free kick in a

:27:47. > :28:03.dangerous area. How good is that from Aaron Hughes?

:28:04. > :28:59.Hearts feel to profit from that. Martin. Cowie. -- Johnsen. There was

:29:00. > :29:04.nobody. You probably won't Johnsen in the box. Good play from Martin,

:29:05. > :29:17.picking up good areas for Hearts. Lovely pass to Johnsen at the back

:29:18. > :29:28.post. The Raith Rovers bench was howling for a free kick.

:29:29. > :29:35.You have just missed, I think, Aaron Hughes doing the opposite of what he

:29:36. > :29:45.did a short time ago, tripping over the ball! From his point of view,

:29:46. > :29:57.that was a good edit! Struna, looking for Martin. Johnston finds

:29:58. > :30:00.Mark Stewart. He is still only 28, Mark Stewart, seems to have been

:30:01. > :30:12.around for ages. Broke through at Falkirk under John Hughes, with the

:30:13. > :30:21.lights of Scott airfield. Cowie made a good run. Herbie Hide, looking for

:30:22. > :30:26.Walker! Good blog by Matthews. Fantastic blog, what a run that was

:30:27. > :30:31.from Don Cowie, in behind the back four of Raith Rovers. A lovely

:30:32. > :30:36.weighted pass. His vision to get the ball into Jimmy Walker. It would

:30:37. > :30:45.have gone on target had it not been for the quality tackle from

:30:46. > :30:52.Matthews. The fourth corner for Hearts, swung in. It was begging for

:30:53. > :30:57.a touch, wasn't it? Very similar to the last corner, Raith Rovers got

:30:58. > :31:04.tighter to their men but still causing problems. Malaury Martin,

:31:05. > :31:12.looks like he could potentially be a really good signing for Hearts,

:31:13. > :31:20.goalball -- going by the opening minutes of this match.

:31:21. > :31:44.strewn all cleared ball in by Walker. He was in a cul-de-sac.

:31:45. > :31:48.The way he managed to shape his body was fantastic but the skill that

:31:49. > :32:06.came before it was even better. A break forward for Raith Rovers. It

:32:07. > :32:10.is Babar and he has won a free kick. He is using his pace again down the

:32:11. > :32:15.right-hand side. A nudge from Kitchen putting him down. That is

:32:16. > :32:16.the thing that hearts need to watch when they are attacking, committing

:32:17. > :32:42.men forward. Difficult for Jamie Walker to be

:32:43. > :32:50.able to do Everything with that past. Gary Locke will be

:32:51. > :32:55.disappointed that when Raith Rovers get to the halfway line and beyond,

:32:56. > :33:00.they are not using the ball well. And that's the problem. I think Mark

:33:01. > :33:02.Stewart has a very lonely task. When they do get the ball forward, it is

:33:03. > :33:20.difficult to break the numbers because they are seven deep.

:33:21. > :33:39.Saying that, Kevin Cuthbert has not had too much to do yet.

:33:40. > :33:50.Straight at Cuthbert. Good movement from Martin, drifting wide. He

:33:51. > :33:56.probably should have done better with his cross for the back post, to

:33:57. > :34:15.set up Bjorn Johnsen for the header. His movement was quality.

:34:16. > :34:23.It's just not sticking. That's what I was talking about. When Mark

:34:24. > :34:26.Stewart does get the ball, he's got to make sure he links in his

:34:27. > :34:37.midfielders so they can get up the pitch. A decent response from Hearts

:34:38. > :34:41.today. They had to wait a long time to get back out on the pitch due to

:34:42. > :34:44.the winter break to adopt we haven't seen them as good at Tynecastle in a

:34:45. > :34:45.long long time as they were at Aberdeen just before the start of

:34:46. > :34:58.the year. Already, much change in personnel

:34:59. > :35:03.since then. That was a really passive, flat performance. They have

:35:04. > :35:05.dominated this in terms of possession, which we expected. They

:35:06. > :35:23.need to turn that into opportunity. It's a corner. I don't know if that

:35:24. > :35:26.was a corner. I think you got it all wrong. I don't know if he got his

:35:27. > :35:50.angles right. In swinger from the Frenchman.

:35:51. > :36:03.Stuart was being fouled and that is another, Perry Kitchen. He can have

:36:04. > :36:08.no complaints. A definite foul. We could have probably seen a yellow

:36:09. > :36:10.for that. I think he is walking a tightrope. That has been three or

:36:11. > :36:36.four fouls. They need to be careful. He is asking way too much of Jamie

:36:37. > :36:40.Walker. A big opportunity, as well, Jamie Walker making a fabulous run.

:36:41. > :37:03.Don Cowie tries to push it through and gets far too much on the past.

:37:04. > :37:13.Strewn, 24 caps for Slovenia. Half an hour in, Raith Rovers' game plan

:37:14. > :37:17.is working so far. They are keeping them at arms length at the moment it

:37:18. > :37:25.told Mrs Callaghan, Stewart. He holds his head in his hands. Good

:37:26. > :37:29.play from Callaghan down the right. He can perhaps get on the half

:37:30. > :37:32.turned. The ball is coming in at pace and just squirms under his

:37:33. > :38:00.foot. Stevenson fighting for its. Another

:38:01. > :38:05.free kick. This is the kind of situation that Raith Rovers will

:38:06. > :38:08.hope to profit from. Yes, the big boys coming up from the back. That

:38:09. > :38:14.was a very poorly timed challenge from Sowah. An opportunity for Raith

:38:15. > :38:17.Rovers to put the ball in the box and you can see what a threat

:38:18. > :38:30.photorealistic top Benedictus coming up as well. -- what a threat

:38:31. > :38:39.Jean-Yves M'Voto is. I think he got caught. Goalkeeping and really good

:38:40. > :38:41.handling from him. Brave goalkeeping, it has to be said, from

:38:42. > :38:49.Jack Hamilton. Clean hands. He took a dull one here, Jack

:38:50. > :39:06.Hamilton. He's OK, though. Seven clean sheets of this season.

:39:07. > :39:10.This is his 27th game of the season. Such a historic venue with the

:39:11. > :39:29.railway just behind where A Raith Rovers legend was recently

:39:30. > :39:32.telling me he had a bet with all his team-mates he would score before the

:39:33. > :39:37.3:07pm train to Edinburgh when past the stadium behind us and he says he

:39:38. > :39:41.won more often than not. We'll have to check that.

:39:42. > :40:06.Here is Sowah for Hearts. Good scoring. 12 to the break. You hinted

:40:07. > :40:10.at earlier the fact that Raith Rovers have been getting

:40:11. > :40:17.particularly atrocious results in quick succession. Gary Locke has got

:40:18. > :40:23.to be plodding over the fact that Kevin Cuthbert hasn't really had too

:40:24. > :40:27.much to do. He hasn't really been tested yet apart from that one went

:40:28. > :40:33.over the posted rock it was all about maintaining Hearts, their game

:40:34. > :40:37.plan, frustrating them and into large parts that has worked. He has

:40:38. > :40:44.ammunition on the bench should he wanted. The longer the game goes on

:40:45. > :40:57.like this, he will be the happier of the two managers.

:40:58. > :41:10.They have been busy recently, looking after the new stadium. They

:41:11. > :41:12.have the new manager in place. The main stand has been built behind the

:41:13. > :41:27.current main stand. Despite its characteristics.

:41:28. > :41:34.Something the main stand here has plenty of.

:41:35. > :41:44.Raith had to build the huge stands behind the two goals here, just to

:41:45. > :41:53.the left, the south end of Stark's Park. They haven't been in the top

:41:54. > :42:03.flight since 1997. They have had some spells in the third tier of

:42:04. > :42:06.Scottish football. Your entire senior playing career, Raith Rovers

:42:07. > :42:18.have been the top-flight. Almost, pretty much. I was here last year in

:42:19. > :42:35.the freezing cold! But I enjoyed warming up. Martin to Sowah. And

:42:36. > :42:41.Kitchen. Just about sums it up for the visitors. All the possession, as

:42:42. > :42:50.we expected... Lots of possession and a neat pass and Grimmy Martin

:42:51. > :42:55.has been a standout. Strun, the new signing, going forward. I think of

:42:56. > :43:09.the two managers, Gary Locke will be happier right now.

:43:10. > :43:19.That was a poor wanted top this might be the opening for Hearts.

:43:20. > :43:27.There it is. Jamie Walker does it again! And 11th goal of a seriously

:43:28. > :43:34.profitable season and that will ease some nerves. The frustrating thing

:43:35. > :43:39.for Gary Locke if it is self-inflicted, a mistake in the

:43:40. > :43:43.midfield. A fantastic weighted pass through to Jamie Walker for his 11th

:43:44. > :43:50.goal of the season. Composed but he is one-on-one with the gamekeeper --

:43:51. > :44:05.goalkeeper. A fantastic finish and by more than Hearts deserve. -- no

:44:06. > :44:12.more. A cool finish. A nerve settler. Eight minutes to half-time.

:44:13. > :44:18.A bad time to lose a goal for Raith Rovers. They've done so well up to

:44:19. > :44:22.now to frustrate Hearts and limit Hearts but to lose a goal just

:44:23. > :44:43.before half-time is the worst time to lose its.

:44:44. > :44:51.John Can't control. Is going to get onto it here. When they have gone

:44:52. > :44:58.behind in games, they've fallen apart. Right now, Gary Locke has

:44:59. > :45:05.ripped apart plan a and is trying to remember what plan B is because

:45:06. > :45:08.that's what he's gone to now. For 30 updates, they defended so well and

:45:09. > :45:13.at the last couple of minutes they've made a couple of mistakes.

:45:14. > :45:17.The back foot of the Rovers defence and you can see why they've been

:45:18. > :45:21.poor in the league and they have made self-inflicted mistakes.

:45:22. > :45:32.Johnsen, too much on him from Martin.

:45:33. > :45:40.I just wonder what's going through the mind of Jordan Thompson. He gave

:45:41. > :45:44.the ball away. He's got to forget it, get it out of his mind. You

:45:45. > :45:49.can't dwell on it. This comes from a tackle from McHattie. Take nothing

:45:50. > :45:55.away from the finish from Jamie Walker. Bjorn Johnsen giving

:45:56. > :46:12.Benedictus a headache. Jamie Walker was one of the

:46:13. > :46:16.mainstays under Gary Locke and walk along with Sam Nicholson, Calum

:46:17. > :46:18.Pattinson, it all had to breakthrough at a time Hearts were

:46:19. > :46:26.struggling financially and struggling firm numbers. Sam

:46:27. > :46:30.Nicholson out injured just now but we've seen so much from all those

:46:31. > :46:33.three players over the last few years that it has perhaps been the

:46:34. > :46:37.best thing to happen to Hearts, certainly as far as the team and the

:46:38. > :46:40.players are concerned because these youth players have come through and

:46:41. > :46:46.are now big stars at the club but they could be bringing in pretty big

:46:47. > :46:53.money soon. I think the way the experience of the game at that time

:46:54. > :46:56.was invaluable. I think Alan Patterson is an international player

:46:57. > :47:06.now and I can't see it being too long

:47:07. > :47:23.before others are involved. Plenty of youth on the pitch.

:47:24. > :47:54.I would been a certain degree of trepidation for Hearts coming into

:47:55. > :47:59.this game, just because of their poor results recently, but Raith

:48:00. > :48:05.Rovers have taken some scalps over the last few years in this

:48:06. > :48:10.competition, Aberdeen and Rangers to name a couple. It is a difficult

:48:11. > :48:16.venue, a difficult place to come and play. Just looking at the way they

:48:17. > :48:20.are set up today, it was going to be difficult for Hearts to bring them

:48:21. > :48:25.down. Now they've got that goal, it really changes the game. At one

:48:26. > :48:37.point, the way they changed would probably bring on the former player

:48:38. > :48:38.to get that equalising goal. Callachan is happy with the

:48:39. > :48:54.challenge. Another example, when they win the

:48:55. > :48:59.ball back and he's only got Mark Stewart hit. By can't see a pass on

:49:00. > :49:02.to him. The options are so limited. Raith Rovers could do with putting

:49:03. > :49:06.another player on the pitch to give them another option, another out

:49:07. > :49:13.another player on the pitch to give ball. Cowie was onside. Another

:49:14. > :49:27.fabulous run from Cowie. They have been superb and if he put one foot

:49:28. > :49:34.in front of the other, it he is... Good play. To look favourite for it

:49:35. > :49:50.when he ended up on the deck. Away by humans.

:49:51. > :49:58.Things just opening up a bit now for Hearts. A bit of a swagger. Now that

:49:59. > :50:07.they have the lead, thanks to that Walker Gold. Here is Johnsen,

:50:08. > :50:17.Martin. It's Callachan's turn to give it away. Fortunately for Ross

:50:18. > :50:21.Callachan, Sowah can't find a team-mate. Raith Rovers architects

:50:22. > :50:24.of their own downfall at the moment. They shouldn't be taking chances in

:50:25. > :50:27.the midfield area. Hearts have had a good spell. I don't think they

:50:28. > :50:41.should be shooting from that angle. And interesting signing, Lennard

:50:42. > :50:50.Sowah, played for the German under 19 team, spells at Portsmouth as a

:50:51. > :50:58.team player -- teenager player. He was offered a stay at Hamilton but

:50:59. > :51:06.turned it down. Hearts came in. Straight in at the deep end. The

:51:07. > :51:10.final minute of the first half to up a first half that Hearts have

:51:11. > :51:22.bossed! They haven't really been troubled, not really. Hearts in

:51:23. > :51:27.complete control of the ball. Gary Locke needs to get his players in at

:51:28. > :51:36.half-time with a scorer of 1-0. If it is to zero, it could be all over.

:51:37. > :51:49.Perhaps Stewart can do better than B-1-0 down. There will be a minute

:51:50. > :51:51.of injury time added at the end. They are desperate to do well today.

:51:52. > :52:11.Stewart is offside. He is obviously offside. Just before

:52:12. > :52:17.that when he was teeing up his shot, I felt he should have... It wasn't

:52:18. > :52:24.really on for him to turn his left foot and get a shot on. McHattie has

:52:25. > :52:31.been starved of service in this first of. Hearts with one foot in

:52:32. > :52:37.the fifth round, the draw for which is made once two other teams have

:52:38. > :52:38.finished later on and you can hear that game live on BBC Radio

:52:39. > :53:04.Scotland. Sometimes these ties can seem to be

:53:05. > :53:08.a real challenge for top-flight opposition against a side like Raith

:53:09. > :53:15.Rovers but Hearts have been businesslike and Jamie Walker

:53:16. > :53:20.slipped it past Kevin Cuthbert, but it was a horrendous error, really,

:53:21. > :53:26.by Jordan Thompson that allowed Don Cowie to eventually find Walker, who

:53:27. > :53:33.knocked out in his 11th goal of the season and it has been a good season

:53:34. > :53:36.for Jamie Walker, who can -- and it continues to be. Hearts heading

:53:37. > :53:46.through to round five as it stands at half-time at Stark's Park.

:53:47. > :53:51.They controlled much of that 45 minutes, Hearts, but they will be

:53:52. > :53:56.more than a bit disappointed, Ian Cathro and Co, that they are not

:53:57. > :54:00.further ahead. What a great chance that was for Kitchen to score for

:54:01. > :54:03.the Tynecastle team. Raith Rovers on the back foot for much of the first

:54:04. > :54:08.half and finding themselves a goal down when Jamie Walker struck but

:54:09. > :54:11.there was a whole lot about this that was self-inflicted in the way

:54:12. > :54:18.that Raith Rovers lost the only goal of the game so far. 12 teams so far

:54:19. > :54:21.down through to the last 16. Hearts are halfway there. We are taking the

:54:22. > :54:27.Michael with Michael Stewart and Michael Neill alongside be analysing

:54:28. > :54:33.the first half-year. There has been a lot to like about Hearts but not

:54:34. > :54:38.enough end product. You can see clearly what Ian Cathro and others

:54:39. > :54:42.have tried to implement at Hearts on there has been a lot of good elder

:54:43. > :54:44.play but I think they will be slightly disappointed they've not

:54:45. > :54:52.had Cuthbert put under a bit more pressure in the Raith goal and they

:54:53. > :54:57.get the goal. Apart from that, I can't run any shots on goal or any

:54:58. > :55:03.real pressure. A lot of build-up but they need to get the build-up to the

:55:04. > :55:06.final third of the quicker. Should we be understanding about Hearts

:55:07. > :55:11.because obviously in the process of making big changes. I think a lot of

:55:12. > :55:14.what they have done has been good. They've had controlled the game. I

:55:15. > :55:19.thought Raith would have made it a cup tie may have made it a cup tie I

:55:20. > :55:24.haven't done that. The way they've approached the game, they have been

:55:25. > :55:28.able to start the game without any pressure. They've have a lot of good

:55:29. > :55:32.possession. As Michael touched on, their chances, other than the goal,

:55:33. > :55:36.have come from set pieces and they probably need to maybe have a wee

:55:37. > :55:39.bit more of a cutting edge in the final third of the pitch but they

:55:40. > :55:44.don't look in any trouble at all defensively. Raith looked like a

:55:45. > :55:51.side that are struggling in confidence but there have been a

:55:52. > :55:54.couple of occasions where they've had players who have looked a bit

:55:55. > :55:58.dubious and they didn't look as if they were going to hurt Hearts. When

:55:59. > :56:00.they broke, they only broke with one or two players so I think Gary will

:56:01. > :56:09.be emphasising that at half-time they have to have more of a goal.

:56:10. > :56:12.This is incisive from Hearts, though way they finished off the goal,

:56:13. > :56:16.Jamie Walker striking, but it was giftwrapped from a Raith Rovers

:56:17. > :56:22.point of view. Yes it was. There was a bit of a mistake but Don Cowie

:56:23. > :56:27.latched onto it straightaway and it was good control from Jamie Walker.

:56:28. > :56:30.When it comes into Jamie Walker, the reason he's able to slide along

:56:31. > :56:36.comfortably is that he controls with his outside foot, his left foot, so

:56:37. > :56:44.he's got good balance. A wonderful weighted pass from Don Cowie that

:56:45. > :56:50.gives him that opportunity. There will be criticism from Ian Cathro

:56:51. > :56:54.but his team have not worked Kevin Cuthbert enough in the goal but

:56:55. > :56:58.there was one of the massive chance in the first 45 minutes for Hearts

:56:59. > :57:01.to give themselves a bit more confident and so scoreline because

:57:02. > :57:09.Perry Kitchen has to be scoring this free header. They have threatened

:57:10. > :57:12.the set pieces. Martin's delivery has been consistently good. Perry

:57:13. > :57:15.Kitchen gets a free header in the middle of the six yard box and

:57:16. > :57:21.should be doing better. It is a decent header and it looks as if the

:57:22. > :57:23.bounce takes it wide. You can't quite tell whether it does take a

:57:24. > :57:28.funny bounce because from the angle behind the goals, it looks like it

:57:29. > :57:32.is going to go in the corner of the net but then somehow manages to

:57:33. > :57:35.bounce past the post. They will be disappointed they didn't manage to

:57:36. > :57:38.get the goal because at that stage of the game, if they'd managed to

:57:39. > :57:42.get the goal would have settled them a lot better. Once Hearts have got

:57:43. > :57:47.that initial goal, it is amazing what difference the goal makes to

:57:48. > :57:52.the confidence of the team. I didn't hear what you said because of the PA

:57:53. > :57:58.but I'm sure it was good! Magnificent heart support. I guess

:57:59. > :58:03.Raith will be a bit disappointed about the numbers that have turned

:58:04. > :58:06.out at the opposite end. I thought a cup tie, and obviously there is an

:58:07. > :58:10.element of Derby about it and you would expect bigger home supported

:58:11. > :58:13.Raith playing into this end, if that end was full, it would give them a

:58:14. > :58:16.bit more of an incentive but the Hearts fans have turned up the

:58:17. > :58:20.numbers and I think they will be really pleased with what they've

:58:21. > :58:28.seen so far. Their team is in control, they are 1-0 up and it is a

:58:29. > :58:32.case of keeping it up. They have shown signs of class. Yes, he got

:58:33. > :58:39.caught in possession but he had ability about him. He has attacked,

:58:40. > :58:48.penetrated and from set plays he has a wonderful delivery. You see this

:58:49. > :58:52.little ball here and it is Jamie Walker the chance to throw into the

:58:53. > :58:55.box. For somebody that has been an impressive performer in the first

:58:56. > :59:02.half, and he's popped up all over the place... He is running behind.

:59:03. > :59:06.He has stretched the opposition and given Bjorn Johnsen a bit of extra

:59:07. > :59:13.foil on the attack. He has had a good performance. He has not shied

:59:14. > :59:17.away from taking responsibility. We've talked about Martin coming in

:59:18. > :59:21.and Struna. The left-backs may be taking a bit long to settle but I've

:59:22. > :59:24.been impressed with the four debutants and they have added

:59:25. > :59:30.something. The right back looks to get forward and has combined well

:59:31. > :59:33.with Cowie and for them to come in on such a cup tie, a bit of pressure

:59:34. > :59:38.run, I think they've all done very well. As we've been saying, there

:59:39. > :59:43.has been a lot to like about the way Hearts have been playing but lack of

:59:44. > :59:49.end product at times and I guess, in a way, it's been frustrating. That

:59:50. > :59:52.what is exactly what Hearts need to do more of. When it gets picked up

:59:53. > :59:58.in a deep area, play the ball forward quickly. At times, they've

:59:59. > :00:03.not done enough of that. They play the deeper midfield role. Nowak

:00:04. > :00:11.drops in all Perry Kitchen Robson but they don't penetrate the

:00:12. > :00:14.opposition quick enough. Jamie Walker does a wonderful bit of work

:00:15. > :00:17.but there is no one on the end of it. It is good build-up play with

:00:18. > :00:21.but there is no one on the end of Struna getting down the right. These

:00:22. > :00:26.are good bits of Blake because they ball ended up getting in behind the

:00:27. > :00:31.Rovers defence. A great bit of play from Aaron Hughes, wonderful

:00:32. > :00:34.footwork, and it comes to a free kick in the end but at times when

:00:35. > :00:39.they've got the deep midfield, I think Hearts need to look to play

:00:40. > :00:43.the ball in behind and Struna is getting off the wide right area,

:00:44. > :00:46.Cowie is running behind, Martin has done it, and a contrast that when

:00:47. > :00:50.you think back to the last game against Aberdeen in the league,

:00:51. > :00:54.there wasn't any penetration in the wide areas. The debutants have

:00:55. > :00:59.definitely improved the Hearts team today.

:01:00. > :01:09.What about Aaron Hughes, what this he contribute? Have you seen his

:01:10. > :01:12.influence today? Yes, he has dealt with one-on-one confrontations well.

:01:13. > :01:16.There was a dangerous situation in the first half from a corner when

:01:17. > :01:20.Raith Rovers broke, he handled it well. He looks very assured that the

:01:21. > :01:27.back. Hearts have split well from the back. Aaron Hughes is very

:01:28. > :01:29.certain and safe with his passing. That experience is helping them,

:01:30. > :01:34.John Souttar looks comfortable as well. There was one point Michael

:01:35. > :01:39.when you had steam coming out of your ears, what are you getting

:01:40. > :01:43.worked up about when the ball was played the Perry Kitchen? It is what

:01:44. > :01:50.I was talking about, Michael has touched on the full-backs getting

:01:51. > :01:53.out wide. This area here, when Perry Kitchen picks up the ball, he has

:01:54. > :01:59.got to look forward, playing the ball to the other centre-half is not

:02:00. > :02:03.good. John Souttar can play the ball the Aaron Hughes very easily, you

:02:04. > :02:07.must look forward. You are under no pressure, you must look to try and

:02:08. > :02:11.be a bit more of a risk in the past, otherwise you end up going nowhere

:02:12. > :02:17.but possession. Hearts have done a lot of good things in the first

:02:18. > :02:26.half, but look, Jack Hamilton ended up putting the ball forward. There

:02:27. > :02:33.was no point in that. Jamie Walker's goal separates these two side at the

:02:34. > :02:36.moment, heart leading 1-0. Here at Kirkcaldy. The second half is coming

:02:37. > :02:45.up. Coverage continues on BBC radio is all and Sportsound which will

:02:46. > :02:52.have live coverage of the match between Albion Rovers against Celtic

:02:53. > :02:56.and that takes place in Airdrie. TV coverage of that and this game

:02:57. > :03:02.coming up in our highlights programme at 6:15pm tonight on BBC

:03:03. > :03:07.One Scotland. Sport scene with the usual comprehensive coverage of this

:03:08. > :03:11.Scottish Cup competition. While we have a few minutes, let us look back

:03:12. > :03:14.at the key moments of yesterday in the Scottish Cup. Motherwell thought

:03:15. > :03:19.they were onto a big result here at Ibrox just a bit when they scored in

:03:20. > :03:25.the 74th minute. That was Louis Mark who scored for them at Ibrox. A

:03:26. > :03:30.nicely worked goal and finished goal as well. At that stage of the game,

:03:31. > :03:35.Michael, they thought they would win this. Yes, put them into a great

:03:36. > :03:38.position. I think it was the 85th minute when Kenny Miller scored the

:03:39. > :03:43.first goal. Great delivery and great header. Save that I've at that

:03:44. > :03:50.point. This is poor, they lose the ball and a bad area. And again, 37

:03:51. > :03:53.years young, I believe, Kenny Miller again shows his class with a

:03:54. > :04:01.fantastic finish. I think he is looking for a new contract next

:04:02. > :04:04.season, you can understand why, in prime form, Kenny Miller. Another

:04:05. > :04:06.example of a player who has looked after himself. Just like Aaron

:04:07. > :04:12.Hughes, he is exactly the same, the same frame as I remember him as a

:04:13. > :04:17.kid at Hibernian. He is showing he can still do it at the highest

:04:18. > :04:22.level. Michael, one of your former teams, Dundee United got an absolute

:04:23. > :04:27.thumping at Dingwall, 6-2 against Ross County. We can just make it up

:04:28. > :04:32.through the fog! That was the first goal for Ross County. They have

:04:33. > :04:39.suffered a few damaging results of late, Dundee United. Yes, after

:04:40. > :04:43.topping the championship table, it has turned into a sticky patch for

:04:44. > :04:47.Ray McKinnon's side. I think the Scottish Cup has been disappointing,

:04:48. > :04:52.they would have wanted to get a run, but getting promotion out of the

:04:53. > :04:56.Championship will be his priority. They have shown more than enough

:04:57. > :05:03.about them. Going up to Dingwall is not an easy tie. Ross County I'm not

:05:04. > :05:06.a bad side but losing 6-2, that will be disappointing. The main priority

:05:07. > :05:11.for Dundee United is to get out of the championship and they have the

:05:12. > :05:15.quality to do that. We will see the draw for the last 16 later. St

:05:16. > :05:22.Mirren are also there. What the result for Jack Ross and his team.

:05:23. > :05:25.One badly needed. 2-0 at dens Park. I suppose this is the shock of the

:05:26. > :05:32.round so far. Good finish from John Sutton. He has shown that many

:05:33. > :05:38.times. This was a great result for them away at Dundee. The Pentagon

:05:39. > :05:44.and hopefully their league form will pick up on the back of this. That is

:05:45. > :05:47.something they will be desperate to try and do, what, get some

:05:48. > :05:52.confidence and momentum built up because the reform has struggled.

:05:53. > :05:57.Getting a good result away from home at dens Park, they have to take

:05:58. > :05:59.confidence from that. Momentum and confidence, something that Raith

:06:00. > :06:03.Rovers could do with, I wonder what Gary Locke has been saying to them

:06:04. > :06:06.at half-time, they have not been enough of a problem for Hearts and

:06:07. > :06:11.he, as a player, he was so competitive. Very much so. Whether

:06:12. > :06:16.he changes it and put on another striker, I don't know. He needed the

:06:17. > :06:23.wide players to push up further up the pitch. We have not seen much

:06:24. > :06:27.from them, Struna has been getting forward an awful lot. They cannot

:06:28. > :06:29.play through Hearts, they have to get the ball foreward, create

:06:30. > :06:34.excitement and get the crowd going and hopefully force Hearts to

:06:35. > :06:38.descend. They have not asked enough questions defensively of heart and

:06:39. > :06:41.to do that they will not have to necessarily go Route one, but

:06:42. > :06:49.perhaps for four true, get the ball foreward. Hearts wants to build the

:06:50. > :06:56.game and move forward. It is about getting men further up the path. --

:06:57. > :07:00.Park. Get the game into the heart of Hearts. Rather than sitting back and

:07:01. > :07:03.soaking up the pressure. Hearts will be concerned that they have not put

:07:04. > :07:08.the scheme to bed, despite dominating it. 12 instances towards

:07:09. > :07:16.the end of that 45 minutes when you thought perhaps a sucker punch was

:07:17. > :07:19.coming. They had to make a good interception earlier in the game

:07:20. > :07:24.when they got in behind the left-back, in terms of joy from

:07:25. > :07:27.crosses. For Raith Rovers, they have looked threatening at set pieces, I

:07:28. > :07:31.do not think Hearts potentially are the biggest side from set pieces, if

:07:32. > :07:34.they get more opportunities, that will give them a chance at least,

:07:35. > :07:38.but to do that they have to force the game in the final third of the

:07:39. > :07:42.but to do that they have to force pitch. Craig Levein would like to

:07:43. > :07:46.think his team can get the job done, the director of football sitting

:07:47. > :07:52.alongside the Hearts owner in the stand. He just wants to remove any

:07:53. > :07:54.doubts about the outcome here as we look back on the key moment of that

:07:55. > :08:00.first half. Perry Kitchen with a great chance with a header but it is

:08:01. > :08:05.Jimmy Walker with the only goal of the game here at Stark's Park in

:08:06. > :08:10.Kirkcaldy. A gleaming mistake from Jordan Thompson, gave the ball away,

:08:11. > :08:14.don't Cowie said the ball through and the penetration that Hearts have

:08:15. > :08:20.not shown too much so far, well, they certainly show that they are,

:08:21. > :08:23.Jimmy Walker pouncing in 37 minutes to put in front. They will look to

:08:24. > :08:32.score another couple in the second half just to swat Raith Rovers out

:08:33. > :08:42.of sight. Gary Locke, for the best part of 15 years was player, coach

:08:43. > :08:46.and manager at Hearts, he will want to prove a point against his old

:08:47. > :08:47.side. Here we go for the second half. Liam McLeod and Stephen

:08:48. > :09:05.Thomson. The last meeting April 20 15th, and

:09:06. > :09:12.the championship, Hearts won that match. The won all four of those

:09:13. > :09:18.matches that season as Hearts romped to the title at the first time of

:09:19. > :09:23.asking. Raith Rovers at hacking the south end of Stark's Park and

:09:24. > :09:30.Callachan with the first effort of the second half. It is a positive

:09:31. > :09:33.start from Raith Rovers, getting a shot on goal. Something they

:09:34. > :09:38.struggled to do in the first half. Callachan getting his angles wrong

:09:39. > :09:43.and slices it past the post. Raith Rovers have never won the Scottish

:09:44. > :09:49.Cup, been to the final ones, Boston Falkirk in 1913. Hearts are eight

:09:50. > :09:51.times Scottish Cup winners, they have been to the final 14 times.

:09:52. > :09:54.Only Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen have been to the final 14 times.

:09:55. > :10:05.have been to the final more often than Hearts. -- they lost to Falkirk

:10:06. > :10:13.in 1913. You would imagine they would want to finish this off as

:10:14. > :10:18.soon as possible, Hearts. What do you think Gary Locke said to his

:10:19. > :10:21.players at the break? I think they have to be more positive, yes, it

:10:22. > :10:25.was about containing and stopping Hearts being creative. They have

:10:26. > :10:35.done that to a certain extent, Hearts perhaps have overplayed at

:10:36. > :10:40.times as Michael and Michael Ball said at half-time. I think they will

:10:41. > :10:46.be looking to make the change pretty soon in this second half. He has

:10:47. > :11:00.weaponry on his bench, the lights of Skacel. Hearts have the first corner

:11:01. > :11:08.second half. Under the watchful gaze of Austin MacPhee and Ian Cathro.

:11:09. > :11:12.And it calms... It is Martin! Kevin Cuthbert save that, I think that is

:11:13. > :11:17.what Hearts are appealing about. A speculative effort from Martin. I

:11:18. > :11:36.think the goalkeeper gets a fingertip to that and tipped it over

:11:37. > :11:51.John Souttar left that for Hamilton who teased Mark Stewart. Eventually

:11:52. > :11:52.get rid of it. Well played by Perry Kitchen, he was under serious

:11:53. > :12:13.pressure. This is Nowak. Sowah. Nice touch by Sowah, into the box

:12:14. > :12:30.egos. -- he goes. Head tennis. Here is Kitchen. Nowak.

:12:31. > :12:40.Walker, but flicked away by former team-mate McHattie. Kevin McHattie,

:12:41. > :12:44.I mentioned the city, Nicholson, Paterson and Walker in the first

:12:45. > :12:49.half, McHattie came through at Hearts at the same time, scored in

:12:50. > :12:51.his final appearance for Hearts in the League Cup tie against Forfar

:12:52. > :13:29.Athletic. Struna was looking for Sowah. The

:13:30. > :13:47.two new boys. Four in the line-up of Hearts this afternoon. Walker.

:13:48. > :13:54.Mark Stewart, he scored the goal the last time Raith Rovers won a game of

:13:55. > :14:06.football, very late in the day against Queen of the South. Back in

:14:07. > :14:09.October. Here is Barr. Johnstone. One of the smaller players on the

:14:10. > :14:13.pitch but he was able to knock it down looking for Mark Stewart. You

:14:14. > :14:18.could see there, just with Raith Rovers in the final third, trying to

:14:19. > :14:23.get through. Good linkup play for the first time in the match, the

:14:24. > :14:26.ball was up to Stuart. Visit off to Barr. We need to do more of that,

:14:27. > :14:29.ball was up to Stuart. Visit off to they have to get higher up the

:14:30. > :14:35.pitch. Ask questions of this Hearts defence. Not something they did in

:14:36. > :14:47.the first half. Here is Mark Stewart. Johnstone. Barr. Did well

:14:48. > :14:52.to win that one. Would have been a great opportunity as well. Inside

:14:53. > :14:55.the box for Jordan Thompson to make amends for his mistake that led to

:14:56. > :15:01.the heart school. Yes, a good couple of minutes from Raith Rovers. Barr

:15:02. > :15:07.does well, just does not fall for the Raith Rovers midfielder.

:15:08. > :15:12.does well, just does not fall for Rover's first corner kick. Only have

:15:13. > :15:22.to be. Johnstone. Away by Johnsen. Matthews... Plenty up for this.

:15:23. > :15:31.Should be Hamilton's. And it is. Good spell from Raith Rovers, they

:15:32. > :15:45.can take heart from that. It is a foul by McHattie on Johnsen. Yes, he

:15:46. > :15:47.just barges into the back of him. Knows he is not going to win it.

:15:48. > :16:09.Clumsy foul. Martin. Mark Stewart. Hearts could

:16:10. > :16:14.get caught short at the back if Raith Rovers make this a quick

:16:15. > :16:25.break. Pinched off of Chris Johnston by Sowah. McHattie. For Mark

:16:26. > :16:32.Stewart. We have seen more of him. This is Jordan Thompson. Ross

:16:33. > :16:35.Callachan is reading in the middle with his team-mate. He has every

:16:36. > :16:40.right to take on the shot but there's not quite get it right. Good

:16:41. > :16:45.linkup play from Mark Stewart. Just get underneath that, Callachan

:16:46. > :16:51.wanted the ball flashed across the six yard box. Made a good one into a

:16:52. > :16:56.good area. Raith Rovers have been knocked out of the cup by the

:16:57. > :17:03.eventual winners in each of the last four seasons. It is extraordinary.

:17:04. > :17:08.It was Hibernian's Kurram last year, that was their first hurdle on the

:17:09. > :17:12.way to lifting the silverware. Hearts looking to join their great

:17:13. > :17:19.rivals in the fifth round draw, that is coming up later today. Raith

:17:20. > :17:23.Rovers are still in this. They have been better in the opening eight

:17:24. > :17:27.minutes of the second half than they were in the entire first half. Here

:17:28. > :17:32.is Chris Johnston. He wins another corner. A brilliant opening eight

:17:33. > :17:38.minutes of the second half Raith Rovers. Just moving up the pitch

:17:39. > :17:40.that 20, 30 yards, supporting Mark Stewart who has linked up the play

:17:41. > :17:44.that 20, 30 yards, supporting Mark well. Another corner. You do get the

:17:45. > :17:50.sense that they must score in this spell. Yes, you do. This is probably

:17:51. > :17:56.their best opportunity to do just that, from a set play with the

:17:57. > :18:05.height advantage. In total in the middle amongst others. It will be

:18:06. > :18:17.Barr's corner. -- Mvoto in the middle. It is flighted into Ward

:18:18. > :18:22.Mvoto. Came off of Benedictus. It is a decent delivery. You think about

:18:23. > :18:27.the first half, the ball comes in, Mark Stewart cannot get across his

:18:28. > :18:32.man to get in the header. Five crosses, what, and the start of the

:18:33. > :18:36.second half? I can only remember one or two half Cross Keys on the whole

:18:37. > :18:44.the first half, so a much better start from Raith Rovers. -- have

:18:45. > :19:06.Cross Keys. Walker. Kitchen. Struna to Martin.

:19:07. > :19:18.Who was recently in south-east Norway with the Livestrong. Scored

:19:19. > :19:26.six times for them. A different football calendar, of course, in

:19:27. > :19:31.Norway. The Raith Rovers bench is seeding, they wanted a free kick for

:19:32. > :19:39.the challenge on Mark Stuart. It is a free kick but for Hearts. He did

:19:40. > :19:43.well to get hold of the ball and control it, he was waiting for a

:19:44. > :19:48.Raith Rovers team-mate to link up to and he had to hold onto the ball for

:19:49. > :19:59.a few extra seconds. I think it was a foul. Struna, who did get the

:20:00. > :20:04.foul, he was recently in Greece. But he did not play single minute for

:20:05. > :20:10.his club side there. The team that is fifth in the Super League

:20:11. > :20:21.increase. Made the move to Hearts. This is Kevin McHattie. Callachan.

:20:22. > :20:29.Quick throw from Kevin McHattie, gets the break of the ball. Stewart

:20:30. > :20:41.Wes Burns at! What a mess by Stewart! -- Stewart Ms Eadie

:20:42. > :20:52.opportunity! What a mess by him. How does he miss at! Three yards out.

:20:53. > :20:55.Incredible mess. If Raith Rovers do not somehow claw themselves back

:20:56. > :21:02.into the sky, Mark Stewart will not sleep tonight. Here is another

:21:03. > :21:08.opportunity. The handball by Souttar, River Lea says no, Hamilton

:21:09. > :21:16.makes a save. -- Reverend Whitley says no. -- the referee says no.

:21:17. > :21:27.Another corner. Decent effort. In comes the corner.

:21:28. > :21:37.Still alive. Johnstone. Raith Rovers have come here. It is Hamilton

:21:38. > :21:40.again! Well, the last five or ten minutes for Raith Rovers have been

:21:41. > :21:44.their best of the match by a distance and this time it is Iain

:21:45. > :21:47.Davidson who is denied. How many good opportunities while they have

:21:48. > :21:53.in this match? That is two or three in the last few minutes. Comes in

:21:54. > :21:59.again, Hearts are on the ropes. That will take the pressure right. They

:22:00. > :22:06.have to take these opportunities when they come around. Mark Stewart

:22:07. > :22:10.missed an absolute sitter. Great save from Hamilton. What a

:22:11. > :22:15.turnaround from Raith Rovers. In the first half they were passive and

:22:16. > :22:18.watched Hearts keep the ball, almost like spectators, offered nothing

:22:19. > :22:24.offensively. In the second half, five, six balls into the danger area

:22:25. > :22:31.and they really should be back in the match, should have equalised.

:22:32. > :22:34.Here is the opportunity again. You could say it might have taken a

:22:35. > :22:39.bauble, but I am not going to give him that, just open up your food and

:22:40. > :22:52.side footed. A horrendous mess from him. Nowak, in the centre of your

:22:53. > :23:03.picture there. He sighed a two year deal arising from the Polish side.

:23:04. > :23:11.Ian Cathro. He knows his team has been under the cosh. One minute away

:23:12. > :23:15.Ian Cathro. He knows his team has from the Power Mac here. -- hour

:23:16. > :23:28.mark here. Corner to Hearts. They know they

:23:29. > :23:32.have got away with one, they know they have dodged a couple of

:23:33. > :23:37.bullets. Certainly have. That was better from them. Struna again, down

:23:38. > :23:46.the right-hand side like he was doing in the first half. Bombing on.

:23:47. > :23:52.Guaranteed that Mark Stewart you can see to the right of your picture is

:23:53. > :24:02.reliving that horrendous miss. It might be' Right now. Martin takes

:24:03. > :24:10.the corner as he has done so all afternoon. Johnsen wants a penalty,

:24:11. > :24:17.nothing doing. Another good delivery from Martin. I did think that

:24:18. > :24:23.Johnsen was pushed to the ground. I think it was Benedictus who was all

:24:24. > :24:32.over his back. Benedictus, wearing the armband for Raith Rovers this

:24:33. > :24:42.afternoon, Jimmy Thomson, the regular captain, on the bench this

:24:43. > :24:47.afternoon. Iain Davidson forcing a save from Jack Hamilton, Mark

:24:48. > :24:53.Stewart striking the crossbar from a few yards out when it looked harder

:24:54. > :24:57.to do that! I think it was virtually impossible to do what he did. You

:24:58. > :24:59.just have to get your body over the ball, on those occasions you have to

:25:00. > :25:04.just have to get your body over the think how am I not scoring? I do not

:25:05. > :25:10.think he can quite believe that he missed. The fans were already

:25:11. > :25:14.think he can quite believe that he getting to celebrate behind the

:25:15. > :25:20.goal. Hearts have weathered the storm now. You do wonder if Raith

:25:21. > :25:28.Rovers will get as good an opportunity again. Decent header

:25:29. > :25:44.from John Beaton! It was all right. opportunity again. Decent header

:25:45. > :25:59.This is the crime for, known as the Queen of crime. -- cream author.

:26:00. > :26:04.This Cowie, this would be a kick in the gut for Raith Rovers at Hearts

:26:05. > :26:12.were to find the second goal. That would take them into the fifth

:26:13. > :26:25.round. Martin, Johnsen. Good play by Walker again. So dangerous.

:26:26. > :26:31.He had a loan here in 2012, it has been the making of him when looking

:26:32. > :26:49.back. John Souttar. Celebrating one year

:26:50. > :27:07.at Tynecastle, moving from Dundee United last January.

:27:08. > :27:20.I mentioned Ian Cathro was 11 when Aaron Hughes made his debut. John

:27:21. > :27:22.Souttar was 14 months old! He was 14 months old when his central

:27:23. > :27:26.defensive partner made his professional debut for Newcastle

:27:27. > :27:38.United against Barcelona. Very scary. You start to think like that

:27:39. > :27:47.and you get older. Here is Don Cowie who has had a good afternoon. Barr.

:27:48. > :27:51.Well played McHattie, sticking to the task and getting in the tackle.

:27:52. > :27:58.He is relishing it against his old club, hasn't he? He certainly has.

:27:59. > :28:01.Just looking at Gary Locke, I would have change earlier, but they have

:28:02. > :28:06.created so many opportunities with the same system. But I would be

:28:07. > :28:15.tended to chuck on a striker now that they have had some computers

:28:16. > :28:24.and go for it. Souttar is there. -- some computers.

:28:25. > :28:34.Just over 25 minutes left for Raith Rovers to save themselves, save the

:28:35. > :28:39.Scottish Cup season. This is Callachan, got into a bit of a

:28:40. > :28:46.problem. They have certainly made more of a cup tie, the first half

:28:47. > :28:51.was all Hearts, the amount of possession, Raith Rovers never laid

:28:52. > :28:55.a glove on them. Watch them past the ball around. It has been quite the

:28:56. > :28:58.reverse in the second half. The problem they have is that they do

:28:59. > :29:03.not want to get embroiled in a relegation play-off battle. Six

:29:04. > :29:07.points off of Falkirk in fourth position but only five points of Ayr

:29:08. > :29:11.United who are nice in the relegation play-off place. They have

:29:12. > :29:18.some very important games to come in the ensuing weeks, beginning with

:29:19. > :29:23.the visit of Dumbarton next weekend. They then go to Dundee United,

:29:24. > :29:30.Morton and heads to come in the following weeks. -- Hibernian to

:29:31. > :29:34.come. They will take confidence from the opening spell in the second half

:29:35. > :29:38.having pushed Premiership side Hearts. But they still beat thanks

:29:39. > :29:54.to that goal from Jimmy Walker in the 37th minute. Nowak. Walker. He

:29:55. > :30:05.is tormenting Matthews. That has not gone down well, that

:30:06. > :30:24.decision. Here comes the proof. The referee

:30:25. > :30:35.got it wrong. I think it comes of Davidson last.

:30:36. > :30:53.The Raith Rovers bench, the lights of McManus and Barr and Rudi Skacel

:30:54. > :31:07.all available. Surely Rudi Skacel can't come on and

:31:08. > :31:12.score a goal that tells Raith Rovers to at least equalise? That would be

:31:13. > :31:18.quite a story. On the other side of the pitch, it looks as if Ryan

:31:19. > :31:41.Hardie is getting his kit on. Result of the road for St Mirren,

:31:42. > :31:51.knocking Dundee out 2-0 yesterday. Agreed. Ross leading them to a

:31:52. > :31:56.superb victory. Martin in the middle. It was a great. Easily away

:31:57. > :32:12.by Benedictus. -- it wasn't great. It's the final quarter of this

:32:13. > :32:17.William Hill Scottish Cup fourth round tie. Hearts beginning to get

:32:18. > :32:36.their stranglehold back. You can see the backing Hearts got

:32:37. > :32:45.here this afternoon. A short trip up to five. It is Ryan Hardie. He is

:32:46. > :32:53.going to replace Chris Johnston. The 19-year-old on loan from Rangers.

:32:54. > :32:57.Scotland under 19 international striker. A very good spell here last

:32:58. > :33:36.term. Immediately involved. There is Rudi Skacel, who scored in

:33:37. > :33:38.2006. He scored twice in the 2012 version. Wouldn't that be a twist of

:33:39. > :34:10.fate? Wouldn't it? 20 to play. I don't make he was

:34:11. > :34:24.going to get the ball but obviously a chance from Nowak.

:34:25. > :34:36.Kevin McHattie stands over the free kick.

:34:37. > :34:45.A wasted free kick, a really good opportunity to put that in the box.

:34:46. > :35:04.Here is Martin. He has had a quiet afternoon.

:35:05. > :35:16.Martin, who was so impressive, has been very quiet.

:35:17. > :35:44.Struna was part of a historic title victory in his homeland.

:35:45. > :36:10.John Souter to the aforementioned Slovenian.

:36:11. > :36:13.All about getting through. Ian Cathro knows his team is within

:36:14. > :36:28.touching distance of that. Saturday the 27th of May is when the

:36:29. > :36:32.Scottish Cup final will be played this year. The next round just three

:36:33. > :36:51.weeks away. He has kept it in, or did he? The

:36:52. > :36:56.linesman was right with it. He certainly thought he did. I think it

:36:57. > :37:11.just sneaks behind. Hearts lead the tie but Raith Rovers

:37:12. > :37:20.should be level at least. Mark Stewart missing a glorious

:37:21. > :37:21.opportunity. A horrendous miss. The chance was going to folder somebody

:37:22. > :37:35.in the Raith Rovers team. Callachan's effort saved by Jack

:37:36. > :37:39.Hamilton. There was another one by the Hearts keeper. You wonder

:37:40. > :38:16.whether that was the chance, that ten minute spell.

:38:17. > :38:28.In it comes. That was swept in by Davidson. A good overlap by

:38:29. > :38:36.Davidson. When it comes in, it is just too close to Hamilton's

:38:37. > :38:39.Handling. Four or five crosses. A regular in the Scotland squad these

:38:40. > :39:13.days, he and Calum Paterson. Callachan give the scraps here.

:39:14. > :39:23.Positive again from Raith Rovers. Matthews was waiting for a cutback.

:39:24. > :39:41.Caused problems with these. It is Babar and Hughes.

:39:42. > :39:46.-- Barr and Hughes. I don't think there was a lot in this, to be

:39:47. > :39:58.honest. The referee has got that one wrong. Albion Rovers take on Celtic

:39:59. > :40:05.in Airdrie. Three o'clock kick-off. The final fourth-round tie of the

:40:06. > :40:12.weekend. And BBC Radio Scotland will have full coverage of that across

:40:13. > :40:20.the frequencies. On medium wave, on digital and on the BBC website. The

:40:21. > :40:26.fifth round draw will follow the conclusion of that match.

:40:27. > :40:33.Yesterday's highlights also at that website. Sportscene with highlights

:40:34. > :40:35.of this and the Celtic Rovers match to come at 5:45pm on BBC Two this

:40:36. > :40:52.evening. Still business to be completed here,

:40:53. > :41:27.though. And still 13 minutes for Raith Rovers.

:41:28. > :41:33.Barr optimistically appealing for a corner. That has been a passive

:41:34. > :41:36.second-half from Hearts, really. Ian Cathro's rhetoric before the match

:41:37. > :41:39.was that his team was going to attack and entertain but they have

:41:40. > :41:48.certainly not attacked in this second half. Declan McManus is a

:41:49. > :42:18.sword in his boots out as if he is going to come on.

:42:19. > :43:22.I think I can see Rudy Scatchard getting ready. He's definitely

:43:23. > :43:29.getting ready. -- Rudi Skacel. Popped through by Martin for

:43:30. > :43:35.Johnsen. Johnsen's effort blocked by McHattie and it is a corner. A

:43:36. > :43:37.decent run from Johnsen. Checksum checks again but a good blocking

:43:38. > :44:04.tackle. A fantastic effort, you have to say.

:44:05. > :44:11.A really hard skill to take that on the half volley. A double change,

:44:12. > :44:21.Mark Stewart replaced by Declan McManus. The other change, Jordan

:44:22. > :44:36.Thompson. Replaced by Rudy Scatchard. -- scar

:44:37. > :44:45.Goals in two Scottish Cup finals that resulted in Hearts lifting the

:44:46. > :44:50.silverware. Arrived under George Burley. Initially on loan from

:44:51. > :44:52.Marseille. Scored in each of his first five games and scored seven

:44:53. > :44:56.Marseille. Scored in each of his his first eight when Hearts

:44:57. > :45:03.threatened to perhaps even win the league title that season. They went

:45:04. > :45:08.on to split Celtic and Rangers. They made just as big an -- he made just

:45:09. > :45:20.as big an impact in his second spell.

:45:21. > :45:26.Gary Locke has thrown scar cell and McManus on in the hope he can rescue

:45:27. > :45:32.race. The clock continues to tick down. Mine to play. Less than that

:45:33. > :45:42.now. Towards Hardy, who was the other sub. He has done all he can

:45:43. > :46:04.now. He has, that's the final throw of the dice. Rudi Skacel now 37.

:46:05. > :46:10.I don't know if that was six of one and half a dozen of the other. In

:46:11. > :46:25.the end, he just goes into the ground. Backing in on a limb.

:46:26. > :46:30.Imagine that. When I worked with Pat Bonner, he favours beekeepers. One I

:46:31. > :46:43.work with Willie, he favours the defenders. Shock! A brilliant touch

:46:44. > :46:57.by Martin. It was initially superb by Martin. Brilliant skill from him.

:46:58. > :47:07.The slightest of touches. A big opportunity for Hearts. Martin with

:47:08. > :47:13.seven minutes left. The second for Hearts finishes it. Callahan flipped

:47:14. > :47:33.it away. Someone from Fleetwood made a big

:47:34. > :47:43.impact in a few loan spells there. Onto it. He did have options, too,

:47:44. > :47:52.but he is a striker. And he saw the gold. Iain Davidson made a fantastic

:47:53. > :47:59.run and was free on the right hand side of the box. As you said, a

:48:00. > :48:05.striker is going to get his head down and thinks of only one thing,

:48:06. > :48:13.getting the shot away. Scored 23 goals in one season a couple of

:48:14. > :48:23.campaigns ago. Decided to leave Aberdeen.

:48:24. > :48:40.Hearts are going to make a change in just a moment.

:48:41. > :48:52.Raith want a free kick but it is going the other way. The natives in

:48:53. > :48:58.Unison let him know what they think of it. I can't understand how that

:48:59. > :48:59.free kick has gone the way of a Hearts player. For me it was a clear

:49:00. > :49:25.foul. It's the final five. The yellow card being produced by

:49:26. > :49:45.John Beaton. He was doing some paperwork. There is no card.

:49:46. > :49:54.Once again, Jamie Walker has been the hero for Hearts. He is about to

:49:55. > :50:07.come off to his usual rapturous reception. Such a big player for

:50:08. > :50:14.Hearts, he really is. So creative. Goal-scoring... His goal scoring for

:50:15. > :50:22.Hearts has been pivotal to their success. This is the goal and this

:50:23. > :50:29.is, at the moment, why Hearts will be in today's fifth round draw.

:50:30. > :50:37.Finished by Jamie Walker, who is in there somewhere. The young man from

:50:38. > :50:50.Sighthill in Edinburgh has stepped up to the plate again. The Raith

:50:51. > :51:00.fans are being further infuriated. I don't think you touch the ball yet,

:51:01. > :51:12.Rudi Skacel there is hope for Gary Locke that they are running out of

:51:13. > :51:21.it fast. McHattie gives chase. The forward was blocked there. John

:51:22. > :51:31.Souter disappeared behind the stands.

:51:32. > :52:16.Benedictus at the wrong end of the pitch for race.

:52:17. > :52:30.Cuthbert takes the high road with the wrong ball. Backed up by

:52:31. > :52:34.Benedictus. They will accept the corner. Raith aren't done yet.

:52:35. > :52:41.They've caused problems with their set play so far. They certainly have

:52:42. > :52:48.an advantage with Bobby Barr, who has been good so far in the match.

:52:49. > :52:58.The bar -- Barr takes Benedictus.

:52:59. > :53:03.you just know it? Wouldn't you just know it? ! Hearts are appealing but

:53:04. > :53:10.Raith Rovers have levels. McManus got the final touch from the scar

:53:11. > :53:16.one in the final minute of the 90! one in the final minute of the 90!

:53:17. > :53:19.-- from the Rudi Skacel effort. Whether he was in the offside

:53:20. > :53:26.position or not, we will find out. A really decent hit from Rudi Skacel.

:53:27. > :53:34.The referee and the linesmen are still contemplating. Declan McManus

:53:35. > :53:39.is certainly in front of the keeper. He's attempted to flick that an

:53:40. > :53:44.amber gold stands, and Raith Rovers have surely managed to force a

:53:45. > :53:49.replay here. A stunning climax in five! It's no more than they

:53:50. > :53:54.deserve. This second half, they really have been the better side by

:53:55. > :54:02.a large margin. 56 good efforts and they deserve to come out of this

:54:03. > :54:06.match with a draw. Declan McManus, as I mentioned, had suggested loan

:54:07. > :54:11.spell and has made a big impact for Raith Rovers here. I'm not sure if

:54:12. > :54:23.he is onside when he touches it, Liam. Rudi Skacel's effort... He is

:54:24. > :54:26.entitled to flick that on. Absolutely. The Hearts players

:54:27. > :54:34.protested for a good 30 or 40 seconds here and the linesman wasn't

:54:35. > :54:41.even sure. They've come to the right decision. There have been chances

:54:42. > :54:45.early in the second half and they have been much, much better in the

:54:46. > :54:57.second half as we go into the injury time period. A minimum of four

:54:58. > :55:06.minutes added on. A twist in the tail! We can't lose sight of the

:55:07. > :55:19.fact that Rudi Skacel hit the ball in the first place.

:55:20. > :55:25.An offside flag and this is perhaps an opportune moment for you,

:55:26. > :55:31.Stephen, to get the William Hill Scottish Cup Man of the Match. Based

:55:32. > :55:34.probably on the first-half performance, I'm going to give it to

:55:35. > :55:39.Jamie Walker. So often the difference for Hearts. Raith Rovers

:55:40. > :55:44.Jamie Walker. So often the have been much better in this

:55:45. > :55:48.second-half. It has been a much improved team performance for Raith

:55:49. > :55:59.Rovers and I think Jamie Walker has been the outstanding player on the

:56:00. > :56:05.pitch. This could be a Raith Rovers free kick. Hearts looked as if they

:56:06. > :56:17.had Raith Rovers in their back pocket at half-time.

:56:18. > :56:26.A huge moment, potentially, here, and it comes from Barr. Hamilton

:56:27. > :56:36.says. An incredible end to the Scottish Cup tie and it's not over

:56:37. > :56:42.yet. Benedictus gets onto it. McManus has won it back for Raith.

:56:43. > :56:44.There has been a spirit and guile about Raith Rovers in the second

:56:45. > :56:59.half that hasn't been there for weeks. Rudi Skacel was sliding in

:57:00. > :57:04.there. Jack Hamilton has just saved Hearts. Absolute panic in the Hearts

:57:05. > :57:10.defence. I don't think Jack Hamilton knew too much about it. Very lucky

:57:11. > :57:17.there wasn't a Raith player there to put it away. It's going to be a

:57:18. > :57:23.replay at Tynecastle this coming Wednesday as it stands. Final minute

:57:24. > :57:29.of the injury time. Where on earth did this come from. This is John

:57:30. > :57:47.Souter. Dario Zanatta... A really bad one by

:57:48. > :57:51.Davidson. The referee consults with an assistant on this nearside. It is

:57:52. > :57:59.a yellow card. That is the right decision. A really bad challenge

:58:00. > :58:02.from Davidson. Very light on the young man and rightly a yellow card

:58:03. > :58:11.shown. Possibly could have been read, you know. Declan McManus with

:58:12. > :58:15.his fifth goal of the season has forced a replay unless Hearts score

:58:16. > :58:21.from this free kick. This is surely the last chance of the game.

:58:22. > :58:34.Martin takes. Barr flicks it away and that's the last action of this

:58:35. > :58:40.game and Gary Locke, who has been under some real pressure in recent

:58:41. > :58:43.weeks... Well, that will be lifted ever so slightly. But, for Ian

:58:44. > :58:46.Cathro, yet more pressure for the young Hearts boss because he has

:58:47. > :58:51.seen a place in the fifth round snatched away from him temporarily,

:58:52. > :58:58.potentially, by Declan McManus, who cancelled out Jamie Walker's first

:58:59. > :59:02.strike. Rudi Skacel last four goal, McManus in an offside position

:59:03. > :59:05.flicked home for his fifth of the season. Walker earlier the Man of

:59:06. > :59:10.the Match scoring his 11th of the season. That means they'll have to

:59:11. > :59:17.do it all over again on the capital on Wednesday evening. It finished

:59:18. > :59:26.here at Stark's Park in Kirkcaldy one high than one. -- 11.

:59:27. > :59:31.It eventually turned into the competitive cup tie we thought it

:59:32. > :59:35.might be pre-match and Raith Rovers earned themselves a replay at

:59:36. > :59:38.Tynecastle. They still have an won since the end of October but at the

:59:39. > :59:41.moment they will feel as if they won because they looked to be down and

:59:42. > :59:45.out but the equaliser followed by a big chance to win this and we'll get

:59:46. > :59:48.the thoughts of Michael O'Neill and Michael Stewart at this point, as

:59:49. > :59:53.the thoughts of Michael O'Neill and the Raith Rovers fans outnumbered by

:59:54. > :59:56.their Hearts opposite number. They are the ones making all the noise at

:59:57. > :00:03.the moment and they will hope that will kick-start their season at this

:00:04. > :00:07.point, and could they yet have the final say in the replay or have they

:00:08. > :00:12.blown their best chance of knocking Hearts out? In any case, it was

:00:13. > :00:15.quite a second half and I guess, Michael, inevitable that the name of

:00:16. > :00:21.Rudi Skacel would be written somewhere in that script?

:00:22. > :00:26.Yes, it was inevitable, he comes onto the park and the Hearts fans

:00:27. > :00:32.are cheering and shouting his name and all of a sudden, he has a part

:00:33. > :00:36.to play in the equaliser. It was a wonderful strike from him. You could

:00:37. > :00:40.clearly see that Declan McManus was in front of Jack Hamilton and it was

:00:41. > :00:44.just whether he was in an offside position or not I do think once we

:00:45. > :00:48.show the replay, you can see that the defenders from Hearts were slow

:00:49. > :00:52.to come out. But McManus was onside, it was a perfectly good goal and to

:00:53. > :00:56.be honest, the balance of play in the second half, Raith Rovers

:00:57. > :01:06.deserved it, Hearts were poorer and Raith Rovers were much better in the

:01:07. > :01:09.second half. I was going to say, did both teams get what they deserve,

:01:10. > :01:14.Hearts not being so effective in the second half? Yes, Raith Rovers made

:01:15. > :01:19.it more of a cup tie in the second half. They forced two or the corners

:01:20. > :01:22.early in the second half. The Mark Stewart Giants was a fantastic

:01:23. > :01:27.opportunity to level the game. They stayed in the game and forced Hearts

:01:28. > :01:33.back. Hearts offered very little in the second half. Raith Rovers

:01:34. > :01:37.deserve another shot. Who is going to be the happiest man in Kirkcaldy,

:01:38. > :01:43.it must surely be Mark Stewart because of that glaring miss. But

:01:44. > :01:49.lots of controversy. Hearts were furious about equaliser. Standing

:01:50. > :01:53.from where we are on the gantry, McManus is in front of Hamilton but

:01:54. > :01:57.clearly the two players from Hearts coming off the post, I think it is

:01:58. > :02:04.Martin and Cowie, they are simply too slow coming out. He is well

:02:05. > :02:08.onside from that angle. The reaction from the Hearts players is so

:02:09. > :02:12.extreme because he is in front of the goalkeeper. But there's actually

:02:13. > :02:19.no doubt about it at all. Correct. A nice little deft flick from Declan

:02:20. > :02:23.McManus. If he was not there, Jack Hamilton would be saving that, so a

:02:24. > :02:28.deft little touch from McManus to put it into the back of the net. On

:02:29. > :02:34.the balance of play, Raith Rovers deserve that. Perhaps a lot of the

:02:35. > :02:39.Hearts fury is about they will feel that they have thrown this match

:02:40. > :02:41.away. They have, they were in command at half-time. We spoke

:02:42. > :02:45.away. They have, they were in the first half that they dominated

:02:46. > :02:48.possession without hurting Rovers a great deal. But once the goal lead

:02:49. > :02:54.in it looked like they had raised their game a little bit but in the

:02:55. > :02:57.second half, instead of taking it further, they looked almost like

:02:58. > :03:02.downbeat. There was a very timid performance in the second half. Guys

:03:03. > :03:06.like Martin, Walker, Struna, all effective than the first half, they

:03:07. > :03:09.drifted out of the game in the second half. Fair play to Raith

:03:10. > :03:13.Rovers, they definitely lifted their game in the second half. No sense,

:03:14. > :03:17.Michael, of Raith Rovers slapping themselves on the back for getting a

:03:18. > :03:24.replay because they could of won it in the end when Hamilton saved from

:03:25. > :03:30.Mvoto. Yes, the momentum was from Raith Rovers at that time. They

:03:31. > :03:34.struggled a little bit with set pieces throughout the game but you

:03:35. > :03:38.always felt they could get more out of it and there is no doubt Hearts,

:03:39. > :03:45.as we see here, it is a header. The goalkeeper has knocked it into an

:03:46. > :03:49.area, very muddy. He dealt with everything all day but that one, you

:03:50. > :03:55.cannot harm that down into that area, can you? He took a lot of good

:03:56. > :03:58.balls under pressure but what he was rattled by the goal, he was the one

:03:59. > :04:03.that reacted the most towards the river Lea, but his concentration

:04:04. > :04:06.perhaps had gone, but he got away with that one. You mentioned the

:04:07. > :04:10.relief of Mark Stewart which I am sure if student at the moment. He

:04:11. > :04:13.hung his head in the dugout when he was substituted because of this

:04:14. > :04:20.moment. He reckoned this had cost Raith Rovers the chance. How did he

:04:21. > :04:29.miss? Ed Balls a little but just in front of him but it is a bad myth.

:04:30. > :04:34.It is a bit of a busy goalmouth area and there is no doubt he has the

:04:35. > :04:37.score. But he will be absolutely delighted it has ended up in the

:04:38. > :04:42.back of the net. This was a beneficent spell from Raith Rovers,

:04:43. > :04:46.Callachan with that effort. Davidson as well. Both producing saves from

:04:47. > :04:51.Jack Hamilton and it was the way that you would expect Raith Rovers

:04:52. > :04:54.to have started again. Exactly correct, the death all of these

:04:55. > :04:59.chances, you think, just keep on putting the ball into the box. But

:05:00. > :05:02.men into the box. All the things that they did not do well in the

:05:03. > :05:05.first half, they did well in the second half and they deserve what

:05:06. > :05:09.they got out of it. They were never going to play free-flowing football

:05:10. > :05:12.to get to that end of the pitch but when it got to the final third of

:05:13. > :05:16.the pitch, they did well and got bodies and men into the box, balls

:05:17. > :05:21.into the box and they got what they deserved. They had to get more

:05:22. > :05:25.bodies higher up the park as he spoke about at half-time. Not only

:05:26. > :05:29.that, they lifted the tempo-mac of the game which made it easier to get

:05:30. > :05:39.higher up the game. It was night and day. Let us hear from the Hearts

:05:40. > :05:49.coach, Ian Cathro with Chris. How difficult is that you take? It is

:05:50. > :05:54.OK. I mean, it is the situation but Mark what is difficult? We just have

:05:55. > :05:57.to beat them again, don't we? Did you perhaps pay the price for not

:05:58. > :06:03.putting its debate in the second half? Possibly. Possibly. Perhaps we

:06:04. > :06:07.could have applied more pressure and created more chances. But we did not

:06:08. > :06:10.do that and I have been informed that we have to play this game on

:06:11. > :06:14.Wednesday, so we will have to deal with that. Did you feel when Jamie

:06:15. > :06:21.Walker Peugeot ahead that you would go on and put the game to bed? I

:06:22. > :06:25.think we were playing OK at that point in the game, we had good

:06:26. > :06:32.control and the first half. That might put your head. Throughout the

:06:33. > :06:36.first half we had the chance to put more pressure on them. But the

:06:37. > :06:42.second half was different. It brings different challenges. Yes, that has

:06:43. > :06:48.happened. Did you think the match was won? Not really. It is

:06:49. > :06:52.impossible to be the case here. You add in the cup tie element and agree

:06:53. > :06:55.that the football is here, ten minutes can change things and things

:06:56. > :07:00.can swing, momentum comes and goes and all that sort of stuff. It is

:07:01. > :07:06.never the case. We never perceived it to be like that. They just

:07:07. > :07:10.something which I think we were OK in the game, the second half we

:07:11. > :07:20.could have played better, for sure, we could have perhaps dominated the

:07:21. > :07:24.play more often, but, yes, there is no major need for overreaction. We

:07:25. > :07:27.have not got what we wanted so we need to get what we want on

:07:28. > :07:31.Wednesday night. Finally, a Yukon for you can get the job done at

:07:32. > :07:38.Tynecastle? Of course, as we all are. They do not have any doubt in

:07:39. > :07:44.our work, we have to keep working. Thank you, Ian Cathro. Thank you.

:07:45. > :07:50.our work, we have to keep working. Reading that answer in my head, was

:07:51. > :07:52.that OK, he said yes. I am not sure that the majority of Hearts

:07:53. > :07:58.supporters would agree with that, Michael. No, I can understand to an

:07:59. > :08:03.extent the point that he is trying to put over, but it was not good

:08:04. > :08:07.over particularly well. A lot of contradictory comments. He did not

:08:08. > :08:13.come across well in that first answer. It is a disappointing

:08:14. > :08:17.result, especially in the position Hearts were in. In the first half

:08:18. > :08:21.they were a lot of good bits but the second half was a very poor

:08:22. > :08:25.performance. There is a lot that must be taken out of the game and

:08:26. > :08:30.rectified for the game on Wednesday night because as the game has gone

:08:31. > :08:34.and not getting victories and other games, the pressure builds. Let us

:08:35. > :08:37.get downstairs to the man whose goal has taken us to a replay on

:08:38. > :08:41.Wednesday night, Declan McManus. Talk me through the motions at the

:08:42. > :08:49.moment. Absolutely delighted for myself but especially the boys. They

:08:50. > :08:54.did really well at the start and worked hard for every chance the

:08:55. > :08:59.errant, every tackle the put in. I am delighted for the team. We

:09:00. > :09:02.deserved it. How much did you know about that shot, you did very well

:09:03. > :09:07.to get your head onto it, did you know much about it when it came in?

:09:08. > :09:12.Not really, it came over my head and I turned around and I saw my

:09:13. > :09:16.colleagues smashing it, it was a great strike and big Jack was behind

:09:17. > :09:24.me ready to catch it so luckily I managed to get a little flip onto

:09:25. > :09:27.it. Declan, well done. Thank you. Lots of controversy and contingent

:09:28. > :09:31.about it at the time but I think our pictures show clearly that that goal

:09:32. > :09:36.should have stood and it takes this match to a replay. The scorer of the

:09:37. > :09:39.first goal, Jamie Walker. Jamie, we will come to Google and performance

:09:40. > :09:44.any second but that must be difficult to take, you must have

:09:45. > :09:48.thought that match was won? Yes, I think so, in the first half we were

:09:49. > :09:52.the better team and I got the goal. But fair play to Rovers, they came

:09:53. > :09:55.back in the second half and drew the match. We were not good enough in

:09:56. > :09:59.the second half and did not deserve to go through. Did you feel after

:10:00. > :10:03.you scored you would build upon that? I think we had to move the

:10:04. > :10:06.you scored you would build upon ball worker and push on and create

:10:07. > :10:10.more chances but we did not do that and Rovers came back into the game

:10:11. > :10:15.and we have another match on Wednesday. It is a replay, but you

:10:16. > :10:19.are the Man of the Match, Jamie Walker, well done. Thank you. An

:10:20. > :10:21.honest assessment from Jamie Walker of the match, they did not do

:10:22. > :10:26.enough. He has been very honest in of the match, they did not do

:10:27. > :10:30.his assessment. He is correct, it would be hard to argue against that,

:10:31. > :10:34.they will have to play better certainly for longer in the game on

:10:35. > :10:38.the night go through and it is going to be an interesting replay now

:10:39. > :10:41.because Raith looked short on confidence in the first half. They

:10:42. > :10:44.would have got more confidence from the second half performance and

:10:45. > :10:48.obviously the fact that it feels like a victory for Raith Rovers.

:10:49. > :10:51.They were going out of the cup but they have another chance on

:10:52. > :10:55.Wednesday night. The Hearts fans must wonder about the attitude of

:10:56. > :10:59.their team, so much in control in the first half, any sense they ruled

:11:00. > :11:03.out the welcome Matt. Plaudits to Raith Rovers because of what they

:11:04. > :11:06.did but Hearts are them to do that. It was a poor performance from Raith

:11:07. > :11:11.Rovers in the first half, they were a little bit lacklustre in that

:11:12. > :11:15.first half. They came out more energetic in the second half, Hearts

:11:16. > :11:19.had to counter that Andy Gestede not. Hearts adds to continue to do

:11:20. > :11:23.what they were doing but at the great temple and instead of taking

:11:24. > :11:28.the name forward as I was expecting them to have done in the second

:11:29. > :11:32.half, they just seem to capitulate almost and they did not really offer

:11:33. > :11:36.a great deal. So there are a lot of positives to be taken from the first

:11:37. > :11:39.half of they still have to penetrate the opposition better. The second

:11:40. > :11:45.half will raise a few concerns and you have Jamie Walker telling you

:11:46. > :11:50.that it was not good enough. The other Scottish Cup tie today is in

:11:51. > :11:54.Airdrie between Albion Rovers and Celtic. Let us find out how that

:11:55. > :11:58.startled from Richard Wilson. Celtic, as you would imagine, have

:11:59. > :12:04.had the majority of possession, moving the ball around. One shot so

:12:05. > :12:09.far on goal and it went over the bar. Albion Rovers are sitting deep,

:12:10. > :12:18.it will be hard for Celtic but they have all of the ball, currently

:12:19. > :12:25.goalless. Cover is continuing of the Albion Rovers and Celtic match --

:12:26. > :12:29.coverage is continuing of the Albion Rovers and Celtic match on BBC Radio

:12:30. > :12:34.Scotland. You can see the highlights of not just that game but this one

:12:35. > :12:42.as well tonight at 6:15pm on BBC One Scotland. Eyelids from here at

:12:43. > :12:48.Kirkcaldy and from Airdrie. Final thoughts. One school of thought says

:12:49. > :12:53.best chance gone for the home team but Hearts look fragile. Yes, I

:12:54. > :12:58.think that they are, no doubt about it. Much has been made of only one

:12:59. > :13:02.victory in six games. All of these things do not make it any easier for

:13:03. > :13:06.Ian Cathro in the current situation. I think Rovers will learn from the

:13:07. > :13:09.first half, they were too timid and came out with the approach that they

:13:10. > :13:12.brought to the second half of the game and I think they have to bring

:13:13. > :13:17.that for 90 minutes at Tynecastle and we will get a great cup tie.

:13:18. > :13:23.Michael and Michael, thank you very much. Late drama here at Stark's

:13:24. > :13:27.Park in Kirkcaldy, that led Declan McManus ball takes us to give replay

:13:28. > :13:40.on Wednesday night. The final score 1-1. I hope you have enjoyed it.
