:00:09. > :00:19.This could be something quite sensational. Right out of the top

:00:20. > :00:22.drawer. Outstanding! The shot is an absolute beauty. Oh,

:00:23. > :00:51.yes! Unbelievable! What a finish! Time for heroes! It

:00:52. > :00:59.is not a dream, it is relative. Inverness Caley Thistle have made

:01:00. > :01:07.history. No team has won the competition more often on the home

:01:08. > :01:19.team. The highlanders, recent past success plays on repeat.

:01:20. > :01:34.This stage is set for the two to mix. Inverness Caley Thistle... Is

:01:35. > :01:39.it time to set the record straight? Craig Gordon is off! It has gone in!

:01:40. > :01:46.The record books always have room for more.

:01:47. > :01:53.Super Caley went ballistic at Celtic Park 17 years ago. It would be a

:01:54. > :01:57.shock of those sort of proportions if the runaway Premiership leaders

:01:58. > :02:03.were knocked out of the Scottish Cup today by the team at the other end

:02:04. > :02:06.of the table. Inverness Caley Thistle, 52 points behind Celtic in

:02:07. > :02:10.the league placings, they have won only once since the end of October

:02:11. > :02:16.and will need to produce something special today if they are going to

:02:17. > :02:21.survive a massive test. It is the fifth round of the Scottish Cup,

:02:22. > :02:26.kicking off with Celtic against Inverness Caley Thistle, live on the

:02:27. > :02:31.BBC. That isn't not much more than ten minutes. Not much doubt about

:02:32. > :02:35.the story dominating the Scottish book headlights, yes, John Hughes is

:02:36. > :02:40.the new manager of Raith Rovers. It has rocked the football world.

:02:41. > :02:46.Michael Stewart joins us, alongside John. It is a story which everyone

:02:47. > :02:49.is talking about at the moment. Rangers announced last night that

:02:50. > :02:53.Mark Warburton and Davie Weir and Frank McParland, the head of

:02:54. > :02:58.recruitment at Rangers, had all tendered their resignations and they

:02:59. > :03:02.had been accepted. All three subsequently maintaining that they

:03:03. > :03:07.had not resigned their position. It is as clear as mud. The man to clear

:03:08. > :03:09.it up is our senior football reporter at Celtic Park, Chris Were

:03:10. > :03:17.it up is our senior football goblin. Your 32nd start now! If only

:03:18. > :03:23.it were that simple. -- your 30 seconds start now. Even by Rangers'

:03:24. > :03:27.recent standards, this is bizarre. The club released a statement last

:03:28. > :03:30.night in social media saying they had accepted the resignations of

:03:31. > :03:35.Mark Borba denied his backroom team, they said that in a meeting earlier

:03:36. > :03:42.this week a representative of all three had agreed that they would

:03:43. > :03:49.resign if the club agreed to waive a compensation claim of around ?1.2

:03:50. > :03:52.million, a club any -- a fee that any club taking on Mark Warburton

:03:53. > :03:56.and his backroom team would have to pay. The club say they discussed

:03:57. > :03:58.that and agreed but according to the statement they say the

:03:59. > :04:03.representative change the agreement and at that stage the club said they

:04:04. > :04:07.triggered the initial agreement and notified Mark Warburton and his

:04:08. > :04:11.backroom team that their resignation would be accepted. I spoke to Mark

:04:12. > :04:15.Warburton shortly after the statement was released, he said he

:04:16. > :04:20.knew absolutely nothing about the statement, he was categoric that he

:04:21. > :04:26.had absolutely not agreed to resign as Rangers manager and at this stage

:04:27. > :04:30.it is with his lawyers and the League Managers Association. It is

:04:31. > :04:34.messy, it is Rangers and, once again, it could be heading for the

:04:35. > :04:38.quarter. When do you expect this to be

:04:39. > :04:45.cleared up in any way? Do we expect another Rangers statement today? We

:04:46. > :04:49.may never know, Chris seems to be having problems hearing that.

:04:50. > :04:55.Certainly our understanding was that there would be another statement

:04:56. > :05:01.from Rangers today. How do you analyse this, Michael?

:05:02. > :05:05.Chris has some Sidibe, bizarre. -- Chris has summed this up. It is a

:05:06. > :05:08.disconnect between the management team and the board, clearly there

:05:09. > :05:13.has been some ill feeling for this to come to a head the way it has,

:05:14. > :05:19.but the clearest thing is that Mark Warburton will not be Rangers

:05:20. > :05:22.manager any more. I think three things have come to this downfall,

:05:23. > :05:26.that is the fact he has not been able to be flexible enough in his

:05:27. > :05:31.philosophy of the game, he has been too stringent to one-way, his

:05:32. > :05:35.recruitment has not been good enough and he has been too thin-skinned to

:05:36. > :05:40.the criticism which has come his way at times, which has been part of his

:05:41. > :05:44.downfall. A very messy situation and Rangers will have to clear it up as

:05:45. > :05:51.quickly as possible. Back to the drawing board for Rangers, Mark

:05:52. > :05:54.Warburton has brought in all these players and they have to start all

:05:55. > :05:57.over again? They have a big game tomorrow against Morton. It is up to

:05:58. > :06:01.the players, they will have to get together in the dressing room and

:06:02. > :06:05.take care of the game tomorrow. One thing is for sure, it looks like his

:06:06. > :06:11.time is over. Rangers are looking for a new manager. It will not be an

:06:12. > :06:15.interim manager, Rangers will have to do their business, whoever is

:06:16. > :06:19.coming in to manage Rangers will be the man to take us forward for the

:06:20. > :06:26.next two or three years. Let's see if I can get an answer this time,

:06:27. > :06:32.when will this be cleared up, Chris, in anyway? Do we expect another

:06:33. > :06:39.Rangers statements today? Yeah, that is certainly the feeling. Of course,

:06:40. > :06:44.this is a fluid situation, we know that the under 20s coach will take

:06:45. > :06:48.charge for the Scottish Cup match against Morton tomorrow. Because of

:06:49. > :06:52.the nature of Mark Warburton's denial, you can only assume that

:06:53. > :06:56.Rangers will be working to find out just exactly how watertight the

:06:57. > :07:01.agreement they say they have actually is. As I said, because Mark

:07:02. > :07:06.Warburton is saying there is no agreement as far as he is concerned,

:07:07. > :07:10.the lawyers may well have to get into a room and some kind of deal

:07:11. > :07:16.may have to be done. Again, as I have said many times with Rangers,

:07:17. > :07:21.this will run and run. Thanks, Chris. Michael, has this been a

:07:22. > :07:24.story of two seasons for Mark Warburton, success last season in

:07:25. > :07:29.terms of achieving the main aim, promotion back to the big league,

:07:30. > :07:33.and this season some bizarre recruitment, maybe, not quite

:07:34. > :07:38.hitting the levels they would have expected? I think you could say

:07:39. > :07:42.that, but in the grand scheme of things this sacking, resignation,

:07:43. > :07:48.call it what you will, it is not down to purely football reasons, it

:07:49. > :07:50.is down to the relationship that has clearly broken down

:07:51. > :07:56.behind-the-scenes. There has been a clear divide between the first

:07:57. > :08:01.season, which was all positive and success, hit the heights with the

:08:02. > :08:03.victory against Celtic in the Scottish Cup semifinal, that was the

:08:04. > :08:05.heights of the Mark Warburton Tenney, this season there has been a

:08:06. > :08:11.number of blips in the path so far number of blips in the path so far

:08:12. > :08:15.-- the Mark Warburton ten-year. As many books as there have been, where

:08:16. > :08:19.they are at this stage with the chance of finishing second in the

:08:20. > :08:23.table, I don't think his resignation or sacking is for footballing

:08:24. > :08:26.reasons, I think it is more to do with the breakdown

:08:27. > :08:31.behind-the-scenes. John, Rangers fans will be disbelieving. It is

:08:32. > :08:33.unfortunate, Rangers do their business very, very well, or they

:08:34. > :08:40.have done over the years. For me, business very, very well, or they

:08:41. > :08:44.for Mark Warburton, I'm a big admirer in the way he gets his team

:08:45. > :08:47.to play football. There are one of two that don't work out for you, but

:08:48. > :08:53.in terms of the way he wants the game to be played it was a breath of

:08:54. > :08:58.fresh air for me. I am a little bit saddens that he possibly will not be

:08:59. > :09:04.the Rangers manager, it looks to be the case. I think he was a breath of

:09:05. > :09:10.fresh air for Scottish football. The Gascoigne, Laudrup, all these top

:09:11. > :09:14.English players coming to Rangers, those days are gone. The process

:09:15. > :09:19.that Mark was on, he understood it would take a few years to get there,

:09:20. > :09:22.as Michael just mentioned, Celtic, the benchmark for a Rangers team is

:09:23. > :09:26.you are up against a Celtic team that is absolutely flying at this

:09:27. > :09:32.moment in time, they are a way out in front. We will keep you posted on

:09:33. > :09:38.all BBC outlets as that story develops, and it clearly will, over

:09:39. > :09:42.the coming hours, days, weeks, who knows? In terms of team changes in

:09:43. > :09:46.the live match today, Celtic against Inverness Caley Thistle, Moussa

:09:47. > :09:48.Dembele returns for the home team, not good news for Inverness Caley

:09:49. > :09:58.Thistle. James Forrest starts as well. Mackay and Robert Streb out.

:09:59. > :10:05.No Ryan Esson for Richie Foran, which means a return in goal of

:10:06. > :10:08.Wayne Fon Williams. The young Inverness Caley fizzle defender

:10:09. > :10:14.cannot play against his parent club, he is on loan from Celtic, his place

:10:15. > :10:17.is taken by Brad McKay. Let's hear from the managers. The second time

:10:18. > :10:20.in the Scottish Cup, Brendan, you must be looking forward to this,

:10:21. > :10:25.that Inverness have caused you problems already this season? We

:10:26. > :10:29.have played them here before, they played really well in the league

:10:30. > :10:37.game early on in the season. It will be a tough game for us. Again,

:10:38. > :10:39.game early on in the season. It will another competition that we want to

:10:40. > :10:41.do well in. Celtic's great history has been built around the Scottish

:10:42. > :10:47.Cup. My earliest memories as a Celtic supporter takes me back to

:10:48. > :10:51.the Scottish Cup final game. We have four cup finals to get to the final

:10:52. > :10:55.and win it, the first of those is today. The fact that you don't have

:10:56. > :10:59.the pressure of the league duties, it is the cup and you have picked up

:11:00. > :11:01.one victory to get to this stage, you will look to do the same again?

:11:02. > :11:05.It takes away from the stresses and you will look to do the same again?

:11:06. > :11:09.strains of the league, no pressure today. We are the only Scottish

:11:10. > :11:15.Premiership team with no pressure on our shoulders in this competition

:11:16. > :11:18.today and tomorrow, we are looking forward to it. There is hunger and

:11:19. > :11:22.passion in the lads in training this week, belief in their eyes. Off the

:11:23. > :11:26.ball, we will work our socks off, but it is what we do when we get the

:11:27. > :11:36.ball, and we will at times, we must create and be brave, make things

:11:37. > :11:40.happen. You lead in Inverness Caley Thistle a couple of seasons ago,

:11:41. > :11:49.what chance do you give them of pulling off and upset? Brendan Means

:11:50. > :11:52.business, they will not thank me for saying this but that trouble is

:11:53. > :12:00.certainly on the agenda. He means business. Richie will be looking for

:12:01. > :12:04.a really good performance. You are rubbing shoulders with the best in

:12:05. > :12:07.Scotland, Celtic, if you can get a performance against them it can

:12:08. > :12:16.certainly set you up for the rest of the season. Inverness are renowned

:12:17. > :12:21.for being great underdogs, siege mentality and proving people wrong.

:12:22. > :12:28.Billy Mackay, 63 goals in six dark spells in his -- in six and a half

:12:29. > :12:34.years in his first spell. Can he do that today? He was a joy to work

:12:35. > :12:43.with. I thought he was a natural left footer and was scoring all

:12:44. > :12:48.kinds of goals. Richie has identified he needs strikers, that

:12:49. > :12:56.is part of the problem. He has rectified that and brought back a

:12:57. > :13:00.fans favourite, it's going to be very, very difficult today. I don't

:13:01. > :13:04.see Inverness getting too many chances. They will be on the back

:13:05. > :13:09.foot and having to contain Celtic and maybe try to hit them on the

:13:10. > :13:12.counterattack. Talking of fans favourites, Moussa Dembele does not

:13:13. > :13:16.struggle to find the back of the net, back off the bench with a bang

:13:17. > :13:25.last week, a hat-trick against St Johnstone. 23 for the season. A huge

:13:26. > :13:29.player for Celtic. Celtic are such an impressive sight, the time that

:13:30. > :13:33.he has been out, they can handle somebody of his talent is being out

:13:34. > :13:38.for a while. Definitely coming back, we saw the effect and impact against

:13:39. > :13:42.St Johnstone. I am pretty sure that Inverness will be desperately trying

:13:43. > :13:45.to keep him quiet. Richie Foran said in his interview there will be times

:13:46. > :13:50.where they get possession, it is all what they can do with it. To try to

:13:51. > :13:54.count and create. The difficulty is this Celtic side are not a team...

:13:55. > :13:58.Is an sense when you go to Celtic Park you have time and space to get

:13:59. > :14:03.the ball, they go after you to get the ball back -- sometimes when you

:14:04. > :14:07.go to Celtic Park. If you were in Richie Foran's shoes at the moment,

:14:08. > :14:15.what would you say to your players ahead of this? Nothing to lose,

:14:16. > :14:19.exactly what Richie says, you can take what you get out of this game

:14:20. > :14:23.as long as you give a performance. You can't be a shrinking violet, you

:14:24. > :14:28.had to believe and trust in each other. Their confidence must be a

:14:29. > :14:32.little bit low with their domestic form, but they can go out there and

:14:33. > :14:36.give it a right good go. As Michael says, Brendan, they don't just play

:14:37. > :14:40.football, Inverness in transition, if they are sloppy, Celtic will take

:14:41. > :14:44.the ball off you and they will be right at you, so they will have to

:14:45. > :14:49.be on the metal to make sure they get to be out of this game. As you

:14:50. > :14:52.can see behind is, the teams are in the tunnel at Celtic Park. The fifth

:14:53. > :14:56.round of the William Hill Scottish the tunnel at Celtic Park. The fifth

:14:57. > :15:01.Cup gets under way, it is the live match on the BBC, Celtic against

:15:02. > :15:03.Inverness Caley Thistle. Your commentators are Steven Thompson

:15:04. > :15:15.and, firstly, Liam McLeod. COMMENTATOR: Good afternoon, nine

:15:16. > :15:18.Premiership teams and we think at least three will be exiting the

:15:19. > :15:23.competition by the time the fifth round ends. Top of the top faces

:15:24. > :15:29.competition by the time the fifth team marooned at the bottom. A

:15:30. > :15:38.situation that belies Celtic getting a point in Inverness in September.

:15:39. > :15:48.Imperious, as the Highlanders have been. They weren't expected to knock

:15:49. > :15:52.Celtic out two years ago, but this is a very different Celtic, a

:15:53. > :15:59.rampant Celtic. Moussa Dembele is back in their line-up after his

:16:00. > :16:03.cameo in Perth last week, including a second-half hat-trick. James

:16:04. > :16:07.Forrest comes in for the injured Patrick Roberts. Liam Henderson not

:16:08. > :16:13.only won the cup last season but set up the seasonal winner against

:16:14. > :16:20.Rangers. Richie Foran changed keepers last week and he has had to

:16:21. > :16:24.do it again this week. The door reopens for Owain Fon Williams. Just

:16:25. > :16:30.three of that team played in the 2015 final. Tremarco, Draper and

:16:31. > :16:37.Tansey all looking for a second winner 's medal.

:16:38. > :16:55.Kolo Toure on the Celtic bench. Won three FA Cups. The Highlanders bench

:16:56. > :17:01.as you can see. Brendan Rodgers, few would back against him, as he goes

:17:02. > :17:05.head-to-head with Richie Foran and the Caley Thistle assistant.

:17:06. > :17:08.53-year-old Kevin Clancy is in charge today. His second trip to

:17:09. > :17:11.Celtic Park this season. The first with a 5-0 League Cup victory over

:17:12. > :17:21.Motherwell. Who is going to be the first team

:17:22. > :17:28.through to the quarterfinals of the William hill Scottish Cup?

:17:29. > :17:34.Celtic were superb in the second half against Sam Johnstone last

:17:35. > :17:41.week. Caley Thistle drew with Dundee to stop the rot. They came from 2-0

:17:42. > :17:46.down, as well. Showed a bit of character and Richie Foran will hope

:17:47. > :17:50.they can display that between now and May, whether it is in this

:17:51. > :17:54.competition or in the league. Preserving Premiership status would

:17:55. > :17:58.have to be there priority, you'd have to say. Celtic's priority is

:17:59. > :18:04.winning everything on offer. The League Cup is already in the bag.

:18:05. > :18:12.The league title is practically in the bag. The Scottish Cup, four ties

:18:13. > :18:17.away from winning that, as well. The seventh time these two have met in

:18:18. > :18:27.this competition, three wins apiece. All but one of those have taken

:18:28. > :18:34.place in the Highland capital. 17 years ago, right here, that famous

:18:35. > :18:38.Caley Thistle victory. In the brief tenure of banzai Celtic boss. David

:18:39. > :18:47.Raven slips it through but snapped up by Craig Gordon with Billy McKay

:18:48. > :18:51.lurking. Here comes Scott Sinclair for Celtic, their first foray

:18:52. > :18:59.forward. Henderson. It's opened up for Liam Henderson. It is a lively

:19:00. > :19:03.start, isn't it? Yes, Celtic countering. Liam Henderson should

:19:04. > :19:06.have taken a shot with his left foot. With his right knee doesn't

:19:07. > :19:16.get enough bend on it but a decent enough start. Scored the opener in

:19:17. > :19:22.Perth against St Johnstone last week, 5-2 victory. Celtic were able

:19:23. > :19:30.to rely on a penalty that was as dubious as they come. Second-half

:19:31. > :19:34.performance suggested they would win that game, despite how good St

:19:35. > :19:50.Johnstone were in the first half. Dembele clocked by Gary Warren.

:19:51. > :19:54.A clumsy challenge from Gary Warren. Comes in heavily and catches him.

:19:55. > :20:13.Lovely touch by Billy King, who scored the first in the 2-2 draw for

:20:14. > :20:20.Inverness. Lustig. Celtic attacking the Jock Stein and of the stadium in

:20:21. > :20:28.the first half. Forrest for Sinckler. Tierney makes it work. --

:20:29. > :20:32.for Sinclair. Fantastic play from James Forrest down the right-hand

:20:33. > :20:38.side. When he runs up players, so dangerous. A great ball up to the

:20:39. > :20:42.back post. Sinclair couldn't quite get it.

:20:43. > :20:53.James Forrest has a couple of Scottish Cup winners medals tucked

:20:54. > :20:59.away. Both he and Scott Brown part of the Celtic squad under Neil

:21:00. > :21:02.Lennon that won it on those two occasions.

:21:03. > :21:16.Billy McKay. He scored the goal the last time Inverness won here. They

:21:17. > :21:19.have only won here twice. Did beat Celtic south of the city Hampden

:21:20. > :21:27.Park a couple of seasons ago, of course. Mired in controversy. Josh

:21:28. > :21:32.Meekings' handball. Inverness the moment, seized the day. Don't as

:21:33. > :21:39.James Forrest is trying to do here. Draper. Both he and Tansey are so

:21:40. > :21:46.important at this Caley Thistle team. Tansey has given its straight

:21:47. > :21:53.to Scott Sinclair on that occasion. Tremarco's there. There goes Draper.

:21:54. > :21:58.Billy McKay, who left the club before they won the cup.

:21:59. > :22:11.Brendan Rodgers alluded in his pre-match interview that yes, there

:22:12. > :22:15.was a 2-2 draw this season between the teams and yes Inverness are the

:22:16. > :22:19.only team to take anything off Celtic in the league this season,

:22:20. > :22:21.but they did win 3-0 here, the champions, against the same

:22:22. > :22:59.opponents. Sviatchenko, who came back into the

:23:00. > :23:00.team last week. Displacing the player who is not involved at all

:23:01. > :23:24.today. Lovely play by Henderson. Couldn't

:23:25. > :23:30.quite squeeze it through to Forrest. Tremarco at left-back for Inverness,

:23:31. > :23:34.and David Raven playing at right back, who scored the winner against

:23:35. > :23:45.Celtic in the semis. He was injured in the final against Falkirk.

:23:46. > :23:52.King, trying to feed off a rare Celtic are at the back. -- a rare

:23:53. > :24:21.Celtic mistake at the back. Brad McKay, I think his foot was

:24:22. > :24:26.high on James Forrest. Free kick. I think it was, it was a slack header

:24:27. > :24:30.from him, Lucky Forrest didn't get there before him. I think he just

:24:31. > :24:32.catches Forrest with his follow-through here. Not a lot in

:24:33. > :24:34.catches Forrest with his it, to be fair, six of one and half

:24:35. > :24:53.a dozen of the other. Tierney. Spend a couple of months

:24:54. > :25:05.out injured, though you wouldn't think it. Such an impressive

:25:06. > :25:11.operator. Dembele. Still Dembele. It takes a lot to stop him these days.

:25:12. > :25:15.Took a while to get going at Celtic. Sometimes people forget that, did

:25:16. > :25:20.take a while to get going, but he has been absolutely superb. Such a

:25:21. > :25:26.strong, athletic striker, who can finish as well. He is up to 23 for

:25:27. > :25:31.the season. His impact, coming off the bench last week, sensational. A

:25:32. > :25:38.brilliant hat-trick. Dembele, such an important player to Celtic.

:25:39. > :25:42.Put it this way, you would not have expected, if you ask nine or ten

:25:43. > :25:46.months ago, if Leigh Griffiths' position as main striker at Celtic

:25:47. > :33:00.was under threat you would not have come up with anything other than him

:33:01. > :33:12.at Celtic this season. Celtic had 23 shots at goal that day.

:33:13. > :33:26.No messing with Ross Draper. He is a very physical player. Henri Anier a

:33:27. > :33:29.won the free kick. I think he just banged into the back of Tierney.

:33:30. > :33:37.Tierney was maybe winded a little banged into the back of Tierney.

:33:38. > :33:41.bit. Interesting as well that Inverness have turned to the

:33:42. > :33:44.partnership, two of the strikers that Dundee United had last season

:33:45. > :33:57.in their doomed bid to avoid the draw. Billy Mckay was on loan. If he

:33:58. > :34:03.can replicate anything like his previous form here, he will be a

:34:04. > :34:07.massive success. It was pretty much a goal every other game, Billy

:34:08. > :34:20.Mckay, for Caley Thistle in his first spell. Off the mark last week,

:34:21. > :34:25.missed a penalty as well. Scored one, missed one. Forrest wants it,

:34:26. > :34:43.ahead of it. Free kick for that, yeah? Good play

:34:44. > :34:47.from Forrest initially, but definitely a free kick. Scott Brown

:34:48. > :34:53.took a slightly heavy touch but Draper dives in and then clips him.

:34:54. > :35:01.He could not quite get on his feet. Big opportunity for Celtic. He tried

:35:02. > :35:12.his best to stay on his feet, to be fair. The seriousness of the

:35:13. > :35:14.situation for Ross Fisher and Inverness became apparent when they

:35:15. > :35:27.stare down this free kick opportunity.

:35:28. > :35:37.Liam Henderson was annoyed with himself, he overhead that. It was

:35:38. > :35:46.clearly of the training ground. It was a clever move. Had the past been

:35:47. > :35:57.weighted slightly better. That macro had the pass.

:35:58. > :36:01.There is your possession, 72% in favour of Celtic. You would not be

:36:02. > :36:09.surprised, either, if it remains something similar, 90 minutes.

:36:10. > :36:13.You are right, certainly here at Parkhead their ball retention is

:36:14. > :36:17.superb, complete ownership of the ball. It is what they do with it,

:36:18. > :36:23.more often than not that is positive, they create and score

:36:24. > :36:27.goals. You expect that. Brad McKay just got caught by Dembele as the

:36:28. > :36:28.ball came in. I don't think he meant it, but he was caught with the side

:36:29. > :36:58.of his elbow. That is how you deal with that,

:36:59. > :37:05.Scott Sinclair. Tierney will have to do likewise. Excellent pressure.

:37:06. > :37:09.Because Inverness committed a view for web they are scampering back to

:37:10. > :37:15.try to help the defence. Henderson was cleaned out by Brad McKay. --

:37:16. > :37:20.because Inverness committed a few forward.

:37:21. > :37:28.Henderson should have done better with the initial pass through.

:37:29. > :37:40.Somebody checking, very dangerous play. -- sermon body checking. That

:37:41. > :37:49.should've been a booking for me, it was a very cynical challenge.

:37:50. > :38:05.Last-gasp defending by Warren. Through its came full of stick!

:38:06. > :38:15.Brilliant finish by Michael Lustig Brilliant finish by Michael Lustig

:38:16. > :38:24.Celtic edge closer. The first hunch Celtic edge closer. The first hunch

:38:25. > :38:29.-- the first touch was unbelievable. He ran like a centre forward,

:38:30. > :38:37.ghosted in behind the back four. The first touch was sublime, the Finnish

:38:38. > :38:42.equally so. He was the architect in Perth last week, he is the

:38:43. > :38:47.executioner in the cup. He has seldom been in better form in the

:38:48. > :38:54.final third, Mikael Lustig, Hussein is a new deal at Celtic recently --

:38:55. > :39:01.who signed a new deal at Celtic recently. He has put the favourites,

:39:02. > :39:05.the troubled seekers, into the box seat. Inverness were 16-1 shots with

:39:06. > :39:10.the tournament sponsors before a ball was kicked this afternoon, they

:39:11. > :39:18.will be at least double that now. Richie Foran has to think up a

:39:19. > :39:22.different plan. It will be a very long afternoon for Inverness. You

:39:23. > :39:28.always say that if you get past those 20 minutes, silenced the

:39:29. > :39:37.crowd, but they had not managed to get past the 20 minutes. Mikael

:39:38. > :39:41.Lustig's second goal of the season. Disappointing summer last year, he

:39:42. > :39:46.is making up about. He went to the European Championship finals in

:39:47. > :39:50.France but only lasted 45 minutes of Sweden's opening match against

:39:51. > :39:55.Ireland. Did not feature again in the

:39:56. > :40:00.tournament. He has a history of injury problems,

:40:01. > :40:05.but when he is fit he is such an asset to Celtic.

:40:06. > :40:15.Now he is an asset going forward, as we saw. As we saw last week as well.

:40:16. > :40:22.Henderson is always looking for the ball, this time it is a free kick.

:40:23. > :40:25.He is picking up the ball in very good areas for Celtic, finding

:40:26. > :40:30.himself in space and getting turned with the ball. He has impressed me

:40:31. > :40:31.since he came into the Celtic side. He did ever so well at Hibernian

:40:32. > :40:46.last year. He was fantastic. In the Scottish League Cup final, he

:40:47. > :40:49.turned the game in Hibernian's favour. They are facing their

:40:50. > :41:18.neighbours tomorrow at Tynecastle. The one thing about Liam Henderson

:41:19. > :41:23.as he is always willing to have a pop at goal. As soon as he sees the

:41:24. > :41:28.girlfriend, he goes for it. He has had two or three shots already. A

:41:29. > :41:33.lovely turn to get onto his left that, can't quite curl it around.

:41:34. > :41:38.James Forrest has had a really bright start to the match, it will

:41:39. > :41:41.be a long afternoon the Carl Tremarco at left-back. -- a long

:41:42. > :41:51.afternoon for. Warren with his eyes on the ball,

:41:52. > :42:08.Dembele was behind him. That was a horrible Ballance for the

:42:09. > :42:13.Inverness defenders. -- a horrible bones.

:42:14. > :42:20.I can only assume the referee has pulled back to back for the free

:42:21. > :42:22.kick in the box. Was it a handball? I think the defender was caught out

:42:23. > :42:32.by the spin. May be a handball. Eyes on the final this season, Kevin

:42:33. > :42:48.Clancy, who knows? And optimistic look at the linesman

:42:49. > :42:52.from Billy Mckay. When the ball comes up to you as a centre forward

:42:53. > :42:57.and you are not seeing a lot of it, you have to make sure you link it.

:42:58. > :43:04.That was weak, weak play. Scored 13 for Dundee United last season. A

:43:05. > :43:19.futile exercise in the end, though. Brilliant from Forrest. Not so from

:43:20. > :43:30.Inverness just cannot get up the pitch.

:43:31. > :43:59.They really curse their luck when the draw was made, Inverness,

:44:00. > :44:07.handing them the most difficult tie of all. Forrest, Sinclair. Almost.

:44:08. > :44:20.Obstruction by Kevin Clancy on Scott Brown there. Not sure Kevin Clancy

:44:21. > :44:25.was happy with that Sviatchenko challenge. Brilliant from Forrest

:44:26. > :44:30.down the right-hand side. Having a terrific match. Standing that one up

:44:31. > :44:38.into the box again. His delivery has been good, just unlucky no one has

:44:39. > :44:44.got on the end of it. 8th of February 2000 will always forever be

:44:45. > :44:51.remembered by Inverness supporters, two penalties either side of an own

:44:52. > :44:53.goal. A 3-1 win for Inverness at this very stadium. Repeated the

:44:54. > :45:03.trick three years later under Robertson. They will have to go some

:45:04. > :45:07.to force some kind of replay in this tie.

:45:08. > :45:16.That linkup play again. You have to link the midfielders in when you get

:45:17. > :45:31.up the pitch. It is now wave and wave of Celtic

:45:32. > :45:36.attack. Forrest again, when he runs at defenders he strikes fear into

:45:37. > :45:42.them. The one thing I would have been critical of him in the past is

:45:43. > :45:43.his final ball, final delivery into the box can sometimes be erratic,

:45:44. > :46:06.but today it has been decent. Celtic losing out in the semis of

:46:07. > :46:16.this competition in both of Rodney Delia's seasons in charge.

:46:17. > :46:28.There was a vulnerability, a weakness teams could find in Celtic

:46:29. > :46:32.in seasons gone by that it is not there this year. Yes, this season

:46:33. > :46:37.it's completely changed. there this year. Yes, this season

:46:38. > :46:43.tripped by Tremarco. That is the first booking. A definite booking,

:46:44. > :46:46.and as I said, Tremarco is going to have a very long afternoon. I just

:46:47. > :46:50.hope James Forrest is badly injured here. He seems to be struggling.

:46:51. > :46:54.Definitely clipped heels of James Forrest. He can't cope with him when

:46:55. > :47:03.he's running at him because of his pace and directness. Not too much in

:47:04. > :47:15.it but enough for Forrest to go down. Tremarco has been booked. He

:47:16. > :47:23.was sent off at for a professional foul in the fixture against Falkirk.

:47:24. > :47:32.Got away with one there. John Hughes is in the studio today! I hope James

:47:33. > :47:37.Forrest is badly injured. Bit looks like he stood on the back of his

:47:38. > :47:46.heel, which can be a sore one. I hope he can continue.

:47:47. > :47:54.Half an hour in, one goal in the game, scored by that man, Mikael

:47:55. > :48:02.Lustig. There you go. Like a seasoned striker. The timing of the

:48:03. > :48:06.run made it, really. Superb. And the first touch, even better. It has

:48:07. > :48:16.been total dominance by Celtic, really.

:48:17. > :48:22.With illegal but wrapped up Celtic are effectively three games away

:48:23. > :48:25.from a treble. -- with the league wrapped up. I struggle to think of

:48:26. > :48:37.who can stop them. When you put it in context, Celtic

:48:38. > :48:47.in their long and illustrious Trophy winning history have only done it

:48:48. > :48:52.three times, the treble. It would be some achievement and the closer they

:48:53. > :48:56.get to it, we'll beast targets be realistic? I think at the start of

:48:57. > :48:57.the season it will be one of the target Brendan Rodgers will have

:48:58. > :49:12.spoken about. Looks as though as things stand they

:49:13. > :49:17.could win the league. It could change... Henderson puts in the free

:49:18. > :49:22.kick, almost Boyatta. Taken away from Boyatta by Sviatchenko. I think

:49:23. > :49:31.Brad McKay gets the slightest touch on this. Yes, just got a touch as

:49:32. > :49:40.Boyatta was about to hit it. Corner kick.

:49:41. > :49:46.Another poor delivery by Liam Henderson. Not getting the elevation

:49:47. > :49:51.from the corner, for a start. Two in Henderson. Not getting the elevation

:49:52. > :49:53.a row, you could see what he was trying to do, trying to this it in

:49:54. > :50:27.towards the front post. Careless this time but Anier can

:50:28. > :51:13.make it work. Two Celtic's last three defeats have

:51:14. > :51:21.been to Barcelona. You can forgive them that. They also lost to

:51:22. > :51:29.Borussia Monchengladbach, which was disappointing. I think the last time

:51:30. > :51:36.they dropped any points at all was against man city in December. Yes.

:51:37. > :51:42.They ended that Champions League group stage in positive fashion.

:51:43. > :51:51.Sviatchenko lies poleaxed off the pitch. The physio does not have far

:51:52. > :51:58.to travel. Drew with Manchester City here and away and drew with munching

:51:59. > :52:05.glad back -- Borussia Monchengladbach. Pure petulance.

:52:06. > :52:12.Right in front of the referee, add blatant kick out. For me, that

:52:13. > :52:17.should have been a red card. Just before that, this was Erik

:52:18. > :52:23.Sviatchenko and Ross Draper. Again, I really robust challenge by

:52:24. > :52:29.the bye line, that could have got a yellow on its own.

:52:30. > :52:39.Brown and Draper. Goes in very hard in that coming together. Maybe need

:52:40. > :52:50.another camera shot that one. Greg Tansey. Again. Sviatchenko.

:52:51. > :52:54.Ross Draper is a lucky man to still be on the pitch, really is. You

:52:55. > :52:58.Ross Draper is a lucky man to still can't get away with kicking somebody

:52:59. > :52:59.off the ball. Inverness have a corner here. Better from Greg

:53:00. > :53:17.Tansey. Here we go. This was the frustration

:53:18. > :53:18.spilling over the Draper. Hit the knee first of all, that didn't work.

:53:19. > :53:26.That did. Sparsely populated penalty box,

:53:27. > :53:37.that. Driven in by Tansey. McKay got a

:53:38. > :53:41.good flick on to that, Boyatta meets it. Decently worked by the

:53:42. > :53:44.Highlanders. Yes, one from the training ground,

:53:45. > :53:49.but very good defending from Boyatta. Gets his head in and

:53:50. > :53:58.manages to the danger. The click flicked on by McKay firstly. Age-old

:53:59. > :54:00.story of the team coming here, that this might be their best

:54:01. > :54:09.opportunity. WHISTLE Pushing. Warren. You have to feel

:54:10. > :54:12.for Gary Warren, twice Inverness have got into cup finals in recent

:54:13. > :54:17.times and he missed the final on both occasions. Yes, he has not had

:54:18. > :54:25.the best of luck, has he? He is all over the back of Boyatta. Lost the

:54:26. > :54:34.League Cup final here to Aberdeen. The win over Falkirk in the Scottish

:54:35. > :54:36.Cup final. Gary Warren suspended on both occasions. That is a terrible

:54:37. > :54:47.challenge, a terrible challenge. That is three now in the book for

:54:48. > :54:51.Inverness. There is a long way to go. For me that is a red card. I

:54:52. > :54:56.think it is a really, really dangerous tackle from behind. He

:54:57. > :54:59.wraps both of his legs around Sinclair and it could have given

:55:00. > :55:06.Sinclair a really bad injury. I think that is a red card. No attempt

:55:07. > :55:14.to win the ball, was there? Tremarco, Draper and figures have

:55:15. > :55:19.all been shown a yellow. -- and Iain Vigurs. Manager on the edge of his

:55:20. > :55:36.technical area, he is a convert its sort. He certainly was. --

:55:37. > :55:41.combatative sore. I think Inverness will be happy to get a half-time

:55:42. > :55:46.just at 1-0, not out of the game. You are always in the game at 1-0,

:55:47. > :55:50.you can regroup. In the last ten minutes they have had a couple of

:55:51. > :55:55.corners. Maybe they've come back into the game ever so slightly.

:55:56. > :55:56.Three adrift at the bottom of the Premiership right now, Inverness,

:55:57. > :56:12.from the bottom. Really tough games to come for Caley

:56:13. > :56:19.Thistle in the next few weeks. They go to Hearts before hosting Rangers

:56:20. > :56:24.and Celtic in the space of a few days. It doesn't get any easier.

:56:25. > :56:39.Warren. Should be seen out by Sviatchenko. It is.

:56:40. > :56:45.Inverness will be pleased, Richie Foran will be pleased that the last

:56:46. > :56:50.five minutes or so. Territory being held further up the pitch. Just keep

:56:51. > :57:00.picking up the play. Raven's cross towards Tremarco, flicked away by

:57:01. > :57:03.Lustig. Pinched back by Vigurs but illegally so says Kevin Clancy. He

:57:04. > :57:29.does get the ball... They have and always swept teams

:57:30. > :57:36.aside this season, Celtic. Half their league games have been won by

:57:37. > :57:41.a single goal, a lot of 1-0s. They did that recently here against St

:57:42. > :57:43.Johnstone and Aberdeen. That is the thing, they always find a way to win

:57:44. > :57:54.the game, even when it is difficult. They've been behind five times this

:57:55. > :58:00.season but have come back on each occasion. Twice that's our park in

:58:01. > :58:07.that 4-3 game. Britain, dancing away from Vigurs. Henderson. Scott

:58:08. > :58:08.Sinclair. As he kept it in? Yes, says the assistant. Forrest.

:58:09. > :58:19.Henderson. I think that is probably his fourth

:58:20. > :58:22.airfare in the game. Again, Forrest does well. A great run in from

:58:23. > :58:26.Sinclair behind, just skips away from him as the keeper comes up.

:58:27. > :58:32.Brilliant play initially from Nir Bitton. Just a little too heavy.

:58:33. > :58:37.Does well to keep it in, Sinclair. Work from James Forrest. But when it

:58:38. > :58:41.cans comes to Henderson, leaning back, you can see what he's trying

:58:42. > :58:47.to do. Scored the opener against St Johnstone last week, but that one

:58:48. > :58:56.never threatening Fon Williams. That says it all. Nine attempts on goal

:58:57. > :59:00.for Celtic to Caley Thistle's zero. Still just 1-0 and they have already

:59:01. > :59:14.suckered Celtic this season. This is the 132nd year of the

:59:15. > :59:19.Scottish Cup. Liam Henderson involved in the completion of the

:59:20. > :59:23.131st last year. Value for money this season, the competition

:59:24. > :59:35.averaging about 3.6 goals per game. This could be another yellow, it is.

:59:36. > :59:39.The fourth yellow card of the afternoon for Inverness, this time

:59:40. > :59:43.for Gary Warren. And the right decision. Such strong play from

:59:44. > :59:50.Dembele. Initially gets fouled, gets back on his feet. Turns the ball on

:59:51. > :59:53.his left hand side and Warren left with no option but to take him down

:59:54. > :59:57.or it is another goal. Yes, knows what he's doing, Warren. So

:59:58. > :00:06.difficult to defend against, Moussa Dembele.

:00:07. > :00:15.A powerhouse of a player, 20 years of age, Moussa Dembele. Turned 20

:00:16. > :00:17.the night Celtic played in Gibraltar. Brendan Rodgers' first

:00:18. > :00:34.competitive game. Henderson had a glance at that. Look

:00:35. > :00:41.at that, as he went down inside the box.

:00:42. > :00:47.Takes it on his right foot macro, which called Ross Draper outcome and

:00:48. > :01:12.he was waiting for it to come onto his left. Doesn't even touch him.

:01:13. > :01:18.The last time Celtic lost to a Scottish team here was Motherwell, a

:01:19. > :01:25.year past December. Beyond 14 months ago.

:01:26. > :01:34.The sort of form but Martin O'Neill enjoyed as Celtic gaffer. -- that

:01:35. > :01:41.Martin O'Neill enjoyed. If they avoid defeat today, it will be 30

:01:42. > :01:43.games from the start of this season that they have gone through without

:01:44. > :01:56.loss. They have stood up to things this

:01:57. > :02:01.season that they simply were not doing beforehand. Thinking

:02:02. > :02:06.immediately to the game in Israel, they were absolutely battered. They

:02:07. > :02:15.lost the game too zero but went through virtue of a 5-2 win in the

:02:16. > :02:21.first leg here. -- they lost the game 2-0. Dembele! It's crap down!

:02:22. > :02:31.One minute from half-time and this tie could be done. -- Dembele! It

:02:32. > :02:38.has crept in! Moussa Dembele, 24 for the season, that will surely

:02:39. > :02:47.rubber-stamp Celtic's passage. It is all about James Forrest for me. Not

:02:48. > :02:51.the world's greatest finish. Again, all about James Forrest. The final

:02:52. > :02:56.ball was perfect into Dembele, Fon Williams must do better.

:02:57. > :03:02.The Welsh keeper was dropped the last week's draw with Dundee, Ryan

:03:03. > :03:09.Esson came in in his plays. He is not fully fit today. Fon Williams

:03:10. > :03:13.performed heroics in the 2-2 draw in the autumn, that once Goram is

:03:14. > :03:17.beneath him and it is Celtic two, Caley Thistle know. Surely there is

:03:18. > :03:24.no way back for the bottom side in the league now?

:03:25. > :03:31.That is a real killer hammer blow for Richie Foran's side right before

:03:32. > :03:36.the break. 1-0, you gave them the most outside of chances, now you

:03:37. > :03:41.surely cannot even give them that? I would not think so, Celtic deserved

:03:42. > :03:47.to lead 2-0, they have been completely dominant. It will

:03:48. > :03:51.disappointed Richie Foran to lose that goal, especially in the manner

:03:52. > :03:56.that they did. It was not the strongest hands from Fon Williams.

:03:57. > :03:58.At 1-0 you think you are still in the game, but it is a long road back

:03:59. > :04:07.from Inverness now. Halfway through that injury time on

:04:08. > :04:36.the first half. First half thoughts? Predictable,

:04:37. > :04:42.Celtic completely dominant. For me, James Forrest has been the star man

:04:43. > :04:45.so far. They have had all the possession, Inverness struggled to

:04:46. > :04:48.create anything at all. They knocked a couple of corners maybe ten

:04:49. > :04:50.minutes ago, but I think Inverness should have had at least one red

:04:51. > :05:08.card as well. WHISTLE BLOWS

:05:09. > :05:16.Half-time. Celtic enjoying themselves again. Mikael Lustig with

:05:17. > :05:20.a goal his international team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic would have been

:05:21. > :05:24.pleased with. Lovely first touch, lovely close range finish. Moussa

:05:25. > :05:34.Dembele up to his tally to 24th this season. -- to 24 for this season.

:05:35. > :05:39.The 2015 winners of this competition have a heck of a lot to do, Celtic

:05:40. > :05:47.well on course for the quarterfinals at half-time in Glasgow's East End.

:05:48. > :05:52.Celtic lead 2-0. STUDIO: They continue to be pretty

:05:53. > :05:57.much unstoppable in Scottish domestic football. Mikael Lustig

:05:58. > :06:02.getting the opener in the 20th minute, that second goal from Moussa

:06:03. > :06:06.Dembele right on half-time. 2-0, Celtic against Inverness Caledonian

:06:07. > :06:10.Thistle. You would imagine they are on their way to 30 domestic matches

:06:11. > :06:16.since they have suffered a defeat. That goal and half-time makes a

:06:17. > :06:18.massive difference? It does, to be honest, the first goal after about

:06:19. > :06:22.20 minutes Inverness would have got to the stage where they are

:06:23. > :06:29.thinking, we have had a good opening, let's continue to make it

:06:30. > :06:33.difficult for Celtic. But this goal, a wonderful pass from Nir Bitton and

:06:34. > :06:37.an equally good touch from Lustig to get it and control. 20 minutes into

:06:38. > :06:42.the game, Inverness would have been thinking we are starting well, we

:06:43. > :06:46.will keep Celtic quiet, that is a killer blow. Equally the one just

:06:47. > :06:51.before half-time, two important stages in the game that I've put the

:06:52. > :06:56.game to bed. A wonderful goal from Lustig. It is another demonstration

:06:57. > :07:00.of the Brendan Rodgers effect. It has happened with so many Celtic

:07:01. > :07:05.players, including Mikael Lustig, who is becoming a real attacking

:07:06. > :07:10.threat in the last couple of weeks? He was crucially involved in Perth

:07:11. > :07:16.last weekend. 24 passes before this goal, what skill from him? You can

:07:17. > :07:20.tell me what this trick is called. I believe it is called a rubber

:07:21. > :07:34.roller. I would end up in hospital if I tried that. -- I believe it is

:07:35. > :07:39.called the rabona. It was a wonderful ball and a great finish.

:07:40. > :07:45.When they scored that, Billy McKay, he was on Lustig as the players

:07:46. > :07:53.getting built up, as soon as it was played in field to Nir Bitton,

:07:54. > :08:01.Lustig got a free run in behind. The pass from Nir Bitton set that up.

:08:02. > :08:05.It was precise. That was a kick in a plane full place for Inverness

:08:06. > :08:09.because it broke the deadlock, this is surely even worse because it puts

:08:10. > :08:14.the match out of sight -- in a painful place for Inverness. Very

:08:15. > :08:19.unlucky, Tremarco slips. You don't want to go to anybody else. Should

:08:20. > :08:24.Fon Williams do a little bit better? You should have tried to stop it

:08:25. > :08:29.from crossing the line. Dembele is red-hot, he is on form. It just so

:08:30. > :08:32.happened that he had the target, took his chances and it ended up in

:08:33. > :08:38.the back of the net. Very unlucky for Inverness, Richie could have got

:08:39. > :08:43.them in at half-time and you could have taken a lot from that

:08:44. > :08:48.performance. The five or ten minutes before that were probably the best

:08:49. > :08:54.bits of the first top? They were 1-0 down, they had stemmed the flow of

:08:55. > :08:58.Celtic and made it difficult for them. They had one of two not

:08:59. > :09:05.opportunities, that they had started to threaten the Celtic final third.

:09:06. > :09:08.That goal puts a dampener on it and it changes the dynamics of the

:09:09. > :09:13.conversation in the changing room. Richie Foran would have said it is

:09:14. > :09:19.only 1-0, anything can happen, all of a sudden it is 2-0 down, it is a

:09:20. > :09:22.blow for Inverness. The amount of times you see goalkeepers just

:09:23. > :09:26.saving with their feet, it is right there, difficult to get to, kick it

:09:27. > :09:32.away, when he gets his hand into it hit is almost like he is trying to

:09:33. > :09:36.flip it away. Just stop it. Unfortunately he sent it into the

:09:37. > :09:41.back of the net. Would you worry about Owain Fon Williams' mental

:09:42. > :09:48.state? He was chopped a couple of weeks ago, no Ryan Esson because he

:09:49. > :09:52.is injured. I would have debated his mental state before he signed him

:09:53. > :09:57.exhalation Mark Noble, he is a lovely, big guy, a strong character.

:09:58. > :10:05.But he will not be high on confidence if he has been dropped.

:10:06. > :10:10.He will be disappointed he had not saved that. Look at the other end of

:10:11. > :10:14.the park, Craig Gordon was under serious pressure early in the

:10:15. > :10:18.season, the manager doubted him, he got his opportunity back, went a

:10:19. > :10:23.huge run of games without conceding, that is what you have to do. He has

:10:24. > :10:28.his chance, whether through injury, illness or whatever, he has to step

:10:29. > :10:40.up to the plate. Unfortunately with that non-save just before the break,

:10:41. > :10:42.that will not do his claim for number one spot any good.

:10:43. > :10:45.Such a big moment of the match. So difficult when you set out against

:10:46. > :10:47.Celtic as to what plan you adopt, how to frustrate them and create for

:10:48. > :10:52.yourself. There has been the man marking, Raven on Sinclair, there

:10:53. > :11:01.has been this pressing. But Celtic go from planet a to be, C, D, E and

:11:02. > :11:04.F. I see Brendan on the bench, they are in total control of the ball but

:11:05. > :11:08.he is looking for ways to try to shape up and change it. You can see

:11:09. > :11:12.tactically what Inverness are doing, they are trying to match-up in

:11:13. > :11:20.midfield. Raven is doing a job on Sinclair. This shows you, this is

:11:21. > :11:26.like a blitz defence. High press at the end of the park, Raven in

:11:27. > :11:30.behind, tight, not giving any space to Tierney. Billy King and Draper

:11:31. > :11:37.are in. If you don't win the ball, you allow space for Celtic to break

:11:38. > :11:40.on top of you. This eventually ends up in a booking. I can't remember

:11:41. > :11:44.whether Brad McKay gets away with that but he should have been booked,

:11:45. > :11:49.once you go for a high press, if you do not win the ball back it is

:11:50. > :11:53.dangerous. Celtic can break on you. It is a good tactic if you the ball,

:11:54. > :11:56.because you are higher up the park, but it has its risks at the other

:11:57. > :12:05.red. Lots of players do that. If you

:12:06. > :12:07.regain the ball when the other team is in possession, you can get at

:12:08. > :12:09.them quickly because most of them are out of position, Celtic is very

:12:10. > :12:11.good about. Not much good news Inverness Caley

:12:12. > :12:15.Thistle, and another factor in the match later could be the fact they

:12:16. > :12:21.have had ball yellow card is against them. Tom in the commentary box was

:12:22. > :12:28.getting excited about this. -- they have had ball yellow cards. Tom can

:12:29. > :12:35.get excited coming he was shouting red card, but that was not. This is

:12:36. > :12:39.a lot worse. If you are talking about red cards, that could easily

:12:40. > :12:48.be a red card from figures, he catches Sinclair Harry up and twists

:12:49. > :12:54.as well. -- from Vigurs. You could have been talking about a red card

:12:55. > :13:00.Vigurs. Tremarco booked as well, these yellow cards can come back

:13:01. > :13:03.bite you? Richie will have to be careful with substitutions and take

:13:04. > :13:08.that into account. He does not have much on the bench in terms of

:13:09. > :13:12.defensive cover. He just might have to bite the bullet and get on with

:13:13. > :13:15.it. These guys had to make sure they control their emotions and

:13:16. > :13:20.discipline. Half-time at Celtic Park, Celtic

:13:21. > :13:24.two, Inverness Caley Thistle zero. Mikael Lustig's goal and that second

:13:25. > :13:29.from Moussa Dembele on half-time, his 24th goal of the season. What a

:13:30. > :13:33.campaign he is having for Celtic. Let's break away from the live

:13:34. > :13:37.match, we will be back for live coverage of the second half in the

:13:38. > :13:42.East End of Glasgow, but let's talk for a few minutes about the story

:13:43. > :13:45.dominating the Scottish football headlines. Mark Waugh Buttin and

:13:46. > :13:51.Davie Weir, his assistant at Rangers, Frank McParland, the head

:13:52. > :13:56.of recruitment at the club, all of them, according to a club statement

:13:57. > :14:03.last night, have resigned -- Mark Warburton. Mark Robinson and his

:14:04. > :14:10.team say otherwise -- Mark Warburton. The legal repercussions

:14:11. > :14:14.will continue. We look back on his reign at Rangers, not much more than

:14:15. > :14:20.18 months gone, the lows and the highs, there was that in the

:14:21. > :14:25.semifinals against Celtic. Everyone wondered how big a turning point it

:14:26. > :14:31.might be. Reality dawns when Celtic played Rangers in the Premiership.

:14:32. > :14:34.That was 5-1. All sorts of questions about Warburton's signing policy and

:14:35. > :14:45.man management, the Joey Barton episode. And a recent 4-1 something

:14:46. > :14:51.at Tynecastle and the 1-1 draw at home to Ross County -- and a recent

:14:52. > :14:55.4-1 something. The pressure was mounting big-time? Quite clearly

:14:56. > :14:57.there has been some sort of discussion in the background,

:14:58. > :15:01.whether the management felt as if they were close to being pushed out

:15:02. > :15:05.of the talk and they thought there was an out. There have been

:15:06. > :15:09.discussions about him being touted potentially for the Nottingham

:15:10. > :15:13.Forest job, something has not worked out, whether there has been a

:15:14. > :15:16.resignation or not, we do not really know. There are clearly mixed

:15:17. > :15:21.messages coming out and that strikes at the heart of their is clearly a

:15:22. > :15:25.disconnect between the board and management. Looking back over the

:15:26. > :15:30.highlights, the semifinal win against Celtic was the high point of

:15:31. > :15:33.the Mark Warburton period, since then massive disappointment for

:15:34. > :15:39.Rangers in the Scottish Cup final against Hibs. This season, and up

:15:40. > :15:45.and down season, to say the least, although I reiterate that, for me,

:15:46. > :15:48.the main source of the issue of the problem has been that relationship

:15:49. > :15:52.behind-the-scenes. On the playing field, I don't think that is the

:15:53. > :15:57.reason there has been a severing of the ties at the moment. They are in

:15:58. > :15:58.and around where I would expect, I think the board would have expected

:15:59. > :16:01.and around where I would expect, I them to be challenging for second

:16:02. > :16:04.and they may well still finished second, it is more to do with the

:16:05. > :16:09.relationship and the breakdown of the field.

:16:10. > :16:17.It needs to be cleared up quickly. Bad day for Scottish football and

:16:18. > :16:20.for Rangers. I'm a big admirer of Mark Warburton and what he was

:16:21. > :16:23.trying to do. I understand we will question signings and all of that

:16:24. > :16:28.but as a football coach you could see his team tried to play football

:16:29. > :16:32.properly. Would you not accept there was a valid argument they weren't

:16:33. > :16:36.clinical enough in the final third? Yes, I think they did play football

:16:37. > :16:40.the right way that you have to have that end product. That comes with

:16:41. > :16:43.one or two year signings, you hope they will hit the ground running and

:16:44. > :16:48.score goals on things like that but... Around the game you speak at

:16:49. > :16:54.players at Rangers and they all speak very, very highly of Mark

:16:55. > :16:58.Warburton. Not just as a man, on the coaching and training pitch. You ask

:16:59. > :17:02.any of the Rangers players and I guarantee you they will say he will

:17:03. > :17:05.be sorely missed. Any development on that Mark Warburton and Rangers

:17:06. > :17:09.story and we will bring it to you on this programme if anything should

:17:10. > :17:14.happen. All our TV outlets, radio and online as well.

:17:15. > :17:18.Back to the matter in hand, the live match between Celtic and Inverness,

:17:19. > :17:26.2-0. The first match of the fifth round of the William Hill Scottish

:17:27. > :17:27.Cup. Five matches to be played today in a couple tomorrow. Here is the

:17:28. > :17:34.full line-up. Could the Premiership in a couple tomorrow. Here is the

:17:35. > :17:39.side be in trouble, potentially? East Fife might be a problem for

:17:40. > :17:42.troubled St Mirren. Ross County against Aberdeen is later today. St

:17:43. > :17:49.Johnstone against Partick Thistle as well. The two Sunday matches, the

:17:50. > :17:54.Edinburgh derby and Rangers against Morton. I guess that was already

:17:55. > :17:59.shaping up as a potential banana skin for Mark Warburton and co-.

:18:00. > :18:06.What is happening will only boost the feeling of Jim Duffy and

:18:07. > :18:09.company. Jim Duffy has done a fantastic job there. I would have

:18:10. > :18:13.fully expected Rangers to come through that tie, although they have

:18:14. > :18:18.taken a bit of a battering in the last week or so. Their confidence

:18:19. > :18:22.will be low. Certainly a different dynamic to how they will react to

:18:23. > :18:27.what happened yesterday. And the Edinburgh derby, the tie of the

:18:28. > :18:32.round, a huge game. Later on today, I think when you're looking at

:18:33. > :18:34.potential upsets, at East End Park you have Dunfermline against

:18:35. > :18:40.Hamilton. Hamilton will recognise they are in a tough game there.

:18:41. > :18:44.Dunfermline are a big side but playing in the championship at the

:18:45. > :18:50.moment. Graeme Murty, what a tough test it will be for him, the Rangers

:18:51. > :18:55.under 20s coach you will be in charge. He will love it. Mark, all

:18:56. > :18:59.the work will have been done in terms of tactics and 90% of what the

:19:00. > :19:05.team will be. It depends on the senior players, guys like Kenny

:19:06. > :19:08.Miller, to get the guys together and say, listen, boys. I think it may

:19:09. > :19:13.have a positive effect. We need to go out here and put on a real show.

:19:14. > :19:17.That's still debatable, but I think if you have a real good strength of

:19:18. > :19:19.That's still debatable, but I think character in that dressing room, the

:19:20. > :19:24.guys will get together and say, come on, let's make sure we go out and

:19:25. > :19:29.win the tie. Our usual comprehensive coverage of the Scottish Cup today

:19:30. > :19:34.and tomorrow, highlights tonight and tomorrow night. In terms of the live

:19:35. > :19:35.match that is ongoing at Celtic Park, the runaway Premiership

:19:36. > :19:40.leaders chasing a treble, of course. Park, the runaway Premiership

:19:41. > :19:45.2-0 up halfway through. An individual nightmare for Owain Fon

:19:46. > :19:52.Williams. Moussa Dembele wasn't complaining, though, as he side

:19:53. > :19:56.footed home his 24th goal of a very productive campaign. It is a goal

:19:57. > :20:00.that may well have knocked the stuffing out of Inverness Caley

:20:01. > :20:01.Thistle. 2-0 down at the break. Back to Stephen and Liam for the second

:20:02. > :20:09.half. COMMENTATOR: Inverness have come

:20:10. > :20:16.from a couple behind here before, a long time ago, in relative terms.

:20:17. > :20:19.Involved in a 2-2 draw. Inverness get us under way, shooting west in

:20:20. > :20:30.the blue and red, Celtic in the green and white. Of course, the

:20:31. > :20:36.Lisbon Lions will be celebrated this season. 50 years on from the club

:20:37. > :20:42.was my greatest moment in 1967 and probably the first British side to

:20:43. > :20:48.lift the European Cup. It would be some tribute for Brendan Rodgers and

:20:49. > :20:49.the current wearers of those jerseys if they could go on and win

:20:50. > :21:01.everything before them. Their matter at hand, seeing out

:21:02. > :21:07.this tie. A very difficult 15 minute team talk for Richie Foran. No

:21:08. > :21:15.changes for either team. Lustig goes down, nothing doing. McKay puts the

:21:16. > :21:16.ball out because Inverness have a problem at the other end, Billy

:21:17. > :21:41.King. He is really struggling, Liam. This was Scott Sinclair. That should

:21:42. > :21:47.be a yellow card, for diving. No contact from David Raven. Kevin

:21:48. > :21:52.Clancy in a really good position. That should have been a yellow.

:21:53. > :22:08.Can Inverness summon up the spirit of the 2000 side?

:22:09. > :22:20.Their famous victory here. Richie Foran, who took over from John

:22:21. > :22:26.Their famous victory here. Richie Hughes. He took the reins of

:22:27. > :22:30.Inverness in the summertime. The assistant stayed on after John

:22:31. > :22:34.Hughes' departure. The eighth manager of Inverness since the

:22:35. > :22:37.amalgamation in 1984. Almost all of those who have gone before have

:22:38. > :22:55.achieved something huge, something of note. The first Cali

:22:56. > :23:01.Our studio guest John Hughes won the Scottish Cup. Pretty big boots to

:23:02. > :23:09.Our studio guest John Hughes won the fill for Richie Foran. It's proving

:23:10. > :23:11.a real difficult first managerial posting for him. Still time to sort

:23:12. > :23:31.out their league position. Billy King is really struggling

:23:32. > :23:33.fair. I think he will have to come off. He's been hobbling about since

:23:34. > :23:39.he came back onto the pitch. It's tough enough playing with all

:23:40. > :24:03.11 players. On loan from Hearts. But giving the

:24:04. > :24:10.thumbs up. Let's take another look at it. A clash of knees, so sore. We

:24:11. > :24:36.saw who came off worse. Celtic, 27 points clear at the top

:24:37. > :24:46.of the Premiership. The record end of season margin, end of season

:24:47. > :25:01.margin, is 29. Surely that is going to go this season.

:25:02. > :25:09.Sinclair. Fortuitous. Guess who? It is 3-0! It was a fortuitous break

:25:10. > :25:15.for Celtic to get the opportunity in the first place. Sinclair gets the

:25:16. > :25:18.ball on the 18-yard line after really good work from Liam

:25:19. > :25:24.Henderson. Sinclair gets this ball back after the tackle, does so well

:25:25. > :25:28.to turn inside. Raven with a good challenge but Dembele is on hand and

:25:29. > :25:36.cool as you like. He just knows where the goal is. That is 25 for

:25:37. > :25:46.the season! For one of Celtic's men of the season.

:25:47. > :25:53.That is five in two since coming back into the side, not bad. It's

:25:54. > :25:57.not bad, you'd take it, it's all right!

:25:58. > :26:05.Now Caley Thistle just want to get on the A9 and get home.

:26:06. > :26:13.Craig Gordon under pressure from McKay. They have been on the

:26:14. > :26:20.receiving end of some serious thrashings in this stadium over the

:26:21. > :26:26.years. This gave them one of their most famous results.

:26:27. > :26:35.Celtic will be in the draw for the last eight, which will take place at

:26:36. > :26:42.Ibrox after the Rangers and Morton game tomorrow.

:26:43. > :26:51.At 3-0, you can't see any way back at 2-0, but at 3-0... He has a

:26:52. > :26:53.decision to make, Richie Foran. Does he throw caution to the wind? He has

:26:54. > :27:08.strikers on the bench. Raven. King. Looking at his bench, could bring an

:27:09. > :27:12.Jake Mulraney, with the pace to upset defenders. Alex Fisher, Scott

:27:13. > :27:23.Boden, Larnell Cole are all there, attacking type players.

:27:24. > :27:32.Brilliant from Dembele. Struggling for confidence, I think! Sinclair,

:27:33. > :27:38.on a hat-trick against, Dembele. Forrest. He must be odds-on to get

:27:39. > :27:44.his hat-trick against a day, must be.

:27:45. > :27:50.Henderson. Lovely football from Celtic. Henderson! Fon Williams

:27:51. > :27:54.eventually gets it under control. Well done Fon Williams, because it

:27:55. > :27:58.was a similar type of local shot that he messed up in the first half.

:27:59. > :27:59.A stronger hand behind it when Henderson hits this and manages to

:28:00. > :28:10.gather it. Billy King down again.

:28:11. > :28:13.Yeah, I think that could single the end of the match for him. It will be

:28:14. > :28:27.Jake Mulraney to come on. He scored a cracker against Celtic

:28:28. > :28:32.in the 2-2 draw. Swept it past, it was Dorus de Vries in goal for

:28:33. > :28:37.Celtic that day. Billy King's day is over. I'm assuming he's not

:28:38. > :28:52.seriously injured. I'm not sure he would be too bothered. No, but it is

:28:53. > :28:57.sore when you bash knees. Could get swollen and bruised overnight.

:28:58. > :28:58.Here comes Jake Mulraney. Some think he should have started more games

:28:59. > :29:03.this season. Over from Dublin. Off the bench

:29:04. > :29:39.again today. Billy McKay. Vigurs to Tansey.

:29:40. > :29:46.Having to go back into their own half. An ambitious Brad McKay pass

:29:47. > :29:57.from Raven. Here comes Celtic again. Celtic have shown even when they

:29:58. > :30:00.don't have the ball, they work ever so hard off the ball to get it back,

:30:01. > :30:15.forcing Inverness all the way back. They have earned the latter four

:30:16. > :30:22.goals in here this season, domestic league, Celtic. -- they have only

:30:23. > :30:36.let in four golds. They have won all of those games. Four one, five Micro

:30:37. > :30:41.one, 6-1. -- 4-1, 5-1, six had one. Initially, a fantastic first touch

:30:42. > :30:46.from Dembele. When he skips past Ross Draper I am sure he is clipped.

:30:47. > :30:48.A lovely touch inside. If that is not a free kick, I am not sure what

:30:49. > :31:01.is. Three girls went in against Celtic

:31:02. > :31:05.that I mentioned, the fourth was fought indeed, Celtic won 2-1 --

:31:06. > :31:36.three golds went in against Celtic. Celtic two goals away from that

:31:37. > :31:45.hundreds of the campaign. -- from their hundredth. We are not out of

:31:46. > :32:04.Debbie Riyadh. -- out of February yet. That was a definite free kick.

:32:05. > :32:11.We still wonder whether Scott Brown will be in Gordon Strachan's squad

:32:12. > :32:12.for the World Cup qualifier against Slovenia next month. It looks

:32:13. > :32:25.increasingly like he will be. Good pressure that time by

:32:26. > :32:32.Inverness. Mulraney was challenged by Sviatchenko. Very strong play by

:32:33. > :32:34.Sviatchenko, he is so physically strong when somebody tries to get

:32:35. > :32:51.back. Good defending. Away by the man who gave away the

:32:52. > :32:56.corner. One thing Brendan Rodgers has managed very well this season,

:32:57. > :33:00.although they have been winning week after week, he has managed his squad

:33:01. > :33:05.so well. Lots of these guys playing have been left out of the starting

:33:06. > :33:09.XI at times, sometimes left out of the match day squad, and they have

:33:10. > :33:13.responded well, the attitude has been spot-on. When you have a good

:33:14. > :33:17.manager who knows what he is doing and is able to give the players

:33:18. > :33:21.belief, perhaps if you have a spell outside of the team you will not be

:33:22. > :33:25.so bothered. When they come in they look very fresh and hungry. Managing

:33:26. > :33:27.a large squad like Celtic is difficult but everybody seems to be

:33:28. > :33:45.on board. Dembele and Scott Sinclair raced up,

:33:46. > :33:57.Celtic looking for a fourth. Dembele! It is a third hat-trick of

:33:58. > :34:03.this season. It is 4-0. The unbeatable champions. Favourites for

:34:04. > :34:09.this competition. It was almost inevitable. When he scored his

:34:10. > :34:13.second. You set it up with a great pass down the right-hand side to

:34:14. > :34:19.James Forrest, who did so well. He has been outstanding. Gets to the

:34:20. > :34:26.byline, sets it up beautifully right place, right time, hat-trick. Talk

:34:27. > :34:31.about putting it in the right place. Moussa Dembele, as he has done on 26

:34:32. > :34:37.occasions, gobbles it right up. And there is still time for more.

:34:38. > :34:42.Incredible, he has not even played every week. There was a time where

:34:43. > :34:47.he was sitting on the subs bench with Leigh Griffiths back in a role

:34:48. > :34:54.that he performed in solo G2 three last season -- performed in so

:34:55. > :35:03.dutifully last season. Dembele has had time out injured.

:35:04. > :35:07.Hat-trick against Rangers, hat-trick against St Johnstone, back-to-back

:35:08. > :35:17.hat-tricks now. He will get it back from Sinclair.

:35:18. > :35:24.You have too worry about Inverness now, if Celtic fans see it in the

:35:25. > :35:28.last half-hour, they are in serious trouble, if they are not already. --

:35:29. > :35:50.if Celtic fancy it. It makes you wonder what his price

:35:51. > :35:54.tag would be now. Back-to-back hat-tricks. I remember Anthony

:35:55. > :35:59.Stokes scoring back-to-back hat-tricks for hold -- for Falkirk,

:36:00. > :36:06.John Hughes in the studio will remember that, he is the Falkirk

:36:07. > :36:13.boss, former Celtic striker, won the cup last season. Back-to-back

:36:14. > :36:22.hat-tricks do not happen very often. Dembele is offside.

:36:23. > :36:26.Just look at the examples on the pitch run Celtic that have responded

:36:27. > :36:31.under Brendan Rodgers. After looking as though they were heading towards

:36:32. > :36:35.the exit door. Dedryck Boyata, who you rightly mentioned, is one of

:36:36. > :36:40.them. Under Ronny Deila, Leigh Griffiths looked like he was going

:36:41. > :36:45.to be away. Tom Rogic was so out of the picture he was back in

:36:46. > :36:49.Melbourne. James Forrest is another one. Stuart Armstrong. A long, long

:36:50. > :36:54.list. It just shows you the kind of

:36:55. > :36:58.character that the players that Celtic have obviously got. Even

:36:59. > :37:03.Craig Gordon this season was ditched the Dorus de Vries. That was in the

:37:04. > :37:07.autumn time, the end of the summer transfer window. He worked so hard

:37:08. > :37:12.over his career, especially in the last few years, to get back into a

:37:13. > :37:13.position where he is now playing Champions League football.

:37:14. > :37:30.He has been terrific. The offside flag against Tierney. I

:37:31. > :37:38.think he just drifted into an offside position. This Celtic team

:37:39. > :37:47.have shown no signs at any stage of any complacency. Credit to the

:37:48. > :37:53.players and the manager as well. Dean Ebbe, the surprise winter

:37:54. > :37:54.signing, is waiting to come on. This is more about experience than

:37:55. > :38:05.anything else, I would suggest. Larnell Cole is the other to come on

:38:06. > :38:14.for Inverness. WHISTLE BLOWS

:38:15. > :38:21.Ross Draper coming off. That is one of the changes. It has

:38:22. > :38:25.been a frustrating day for Ross Draper. He has not really had the

:38:26. > :38:33.impact he would have liked. Yellow card. To you stand by your red card

:38:34. > :39:02.showed. A chance Kelly his -- Cally Thistle

:39:03. > :39:07.to pull one back. Celtic heading for 13th straight win, they have won 19

:39:08. > :39:25.straight in the league. They are about to go 30 unbeaten this season.

:39:26. > :39:35.That is part of Craig Gordon's gain, in the past four five months he has

:39:36. > :39:38.improved his composure so much. It has impressed me. That is how

:39:39. > :39:42.Brendan Rodgers wanting to operate and he has improved. He was helping

:39:43. > :39:44.Brendan Rodgers wanting to operate out Ian Murray Adam Boulton when he

:39:45. > :39:49.was the Dumbarton manager, a of nights a week on the training

:39:50. > :39:54.ground. He has gone from that, it looked like his career was over, to

:39:55. > :39:59.playing Champions League football. He has won medals at Celtic, he has

:40:00. > :40:03.managed to pick up League Cup and league championship winners medals,

:40:04. > :40:07.he knows he could be heading for the clean sweep this campaign. A mark of

:40:08. > :40:12.his progress would be that Chelsea made a bid for him, a club of

:40:13. > :40:18.Chelsea's size to bid for the goalkeeper obviously proves he is

:40:19. > :40:24.doing war than just something right. That's Callum McGregor will replace

:40:25. > :40:28.Liam Henderson, meantime. Next on the Celtic firing line,

:40:29. > :40:33.Motherwell, who visit next week. Then Hamilton can hear the week

:40:34. > :40:40.after before the rematch with Cally Thistle in the Highlands. -- Ben

:40:41. > :40:47.Hamilton come here. He is getting a good of Asian, he will probably be

:40:48. > :40:53.frustrated that of the six and seven shots he managed to get away he did

:40:54. > :40:58.not get one on target. -- he is getting a good ovation. That got

:40:59. > :41:03.Callum McGregor spent some time out of the picture in the last couple of

:41:04. > :41:08.years, he did so well when Ronny Deila first came to the club and

:41:09. > :41:13.scored a couple of important goals in the infancy of the Ronny Deila

:41:14. > :41:20.era, drifted out of the picture. He is now back in and Brendan Rodgers.

:41:21. > :41:32.He will be starting in the match day squad, more often than not.

:41:33. > :41:40.Cole has been on loan from Fulham to Caley Thistle. He is an England

:41:41. > :42:13.youth international who came off the bench.

:42:14. > :42:19.That was slack, and James Forrest was there. He should have made it

:42:20. > :42:25.five. I can only imagine that the surprise caught him out. I think he

:42:26. > :42:29.may be had too much time to think about this. He really deserves a

:42:30. > :42:37.gold today. An horrendous mistake from Gary Warren.

:42:38. > :42:48.The won that back surprisingly easily. A horrible ball by Gary

:42:49. > :43:03.Warren, James Forrest should have increased the Celtic lead.

:43:04. > :43:09.17 shots to zero in Celtic's Faiva, underlines the dominance. It has

:43:10. > :43:13.been a very quiet afternoon for Craig Gordon. A free kick that is

:43:14. > :43:39.not coming. A strong challenge, to stave the

:43:40. > :43:46.least -- say the least. Deflected. Cole did well to get the shot away.

:43:47. > :43:53.Craig Gordon scrambling. A nice turn and swivel. Craig Gordon was

:43:54. > :43:57.scrambling across his box. Highlights to come of today's

:43:58. > :44:04.William Hill Scottish Cup fifth round ties on sports theme tonight

:44:05. > :44:08.at 10:30pm. Full coverage of the 3pm pick-ups, including Ross County,

:44:09. > :44:14.Aberdeen, Dunfermline, Hamilton, to come on BBC Radio Scotland, as well

:44:15. > :44:23.as the games tomorrow, Hearts against Hibs and Rangers against

:44:24. > :44:25.Morton. Easy for Craig Lawton. A poor corner. Craig Gordon could take

:44:26. > :44:43.that and challenge. It is the gap between Celtic and the

:44:44. > :44:47.rest, is bigger than the best team in Scottish football and the rest

:44:48. > :44:50.ever before? I would say so, I don't think it has ever been this big.

:44:51. > :44:57.Completely and utterly dominated this season. The mark of a team, as

:44:58. > :45:00.we mentioned earlier, when things are not going well and you have to

:45:01. > :45:06.scrape and fight and get a hard win, they do it and they seem to produce.

:45:07. > :45:09.It is the lack of complacency that has impressed me, never once do they

:45:10. > :45:15.let their guard down or take their foot off the pedal.

:45:16. > :45:21.27 points clear at the top, Aberdeen have a game in hand, which they play

:45:22. > :45:26.against Motherwell in midweek, they could bring it back to 24. As I

:45:27. > :45:31.mentioned earlier, the record in season margin is 29, that is the

:45:32. > :45:36.European record beaten by Paris Saint-Germain last season, they won

:45:37. > :45:43.by 31 points ahead of Lyon. That could easily go as well as Celtic's:

:45:44. > :45:48.29 point record. Maybe even eclipsing the Lisbon and team in the

:45:49. > :45:52.domestic started the season in 1967. The European champions. Next up they

:45:53. > :45:59.will be looking for 25 leave Quins in a row. -- legal winds.

:46:00. > :46:10.A bad Paul Lim by Mulraney that time. -- a bad ball in. All kinds of

:46:11. > :46:16.records could be obliterated by this Brendan Rodgers juggernaut. Vigurs

:46:17. > :46:20.hits it and that sums it up. It pretty much does. Normally so good

:46:21. > :46:25.on his left foot. When the ball breaks to him on the edge of the box

:46:26. > :46:31.here you think he will at least hit the target but he gets it all wrong.

:46:32. > :46:40.Wildly slashes at it. Scored one of the goals of the season at Pittodrie

:46:41. > :46:47.earlier in the campaign, Vigurs. A 1-1 draw with Aberdeen.

:46:48. > :46:52.Nir Biton OK after that McKay challenged earlier on.

:46:53. > :47:18.WHISTLE A yellow card coming out for Lustig.

:47:19. > :47:20.He's not happy but I think it's the right decision. Definitely pulled

:47:21. > :47:54.the shirt of Vigurs. WHISTLE

:47:55. > :48:03.Dembele keen to get things back under way.

:48:04. > :48:45.Once again Kevin Clancy ignoring the Celtic support. I think the Celtic

:48:46. > :48:50.support are disappointed because it's very similar to the one that

:48:51. > :49:00.Lustig was just booked for. And Vigurs booked for in the first half.

:49:01. > :49:13.The Scottish Cup, two bookings and you miss the next high. So if

:49:14. > :49:19.Dembele -- Dembele got booked in the last round. McGregor, who came from

:49:20. > :49:29.absolutely nowhere to steal possession back from Vigurs.

:49:30. > :49:41.Through ball for Dean Ebbe. Tansey. Cole. Mulraney.

:49:42. > :49:51.That's as close as they've come. Really good play from Inverness.

:49:52. > :49:55.When the ball comes to Mulraney, a fantastic ball, smashed right across

:49:56. > :49:59.the six. Just waiting for a strike at a mega movement across the front

:50:00. > :50:35.post, to make that gamble, but nobody has.

:50:36. > :50:49.Dembele. Goes for it himself. And why wouldn't you? Just so confident

:50:50. > :50:56.just now, everything he hits he thinks he's going to score, and that

:50:57. > :51:01.was not far away. Peeling out on the left-hand side, driving in to the

:51:02. > :51:12.defence. Going for the top corner but not getting enough bend on it.

:51:13. > :51:31.14 to play. Inverness seeing a lot of the ball in the Celtic half right

:51:32. > :51:35.now, the trouble is, they are 4-0 down.

:51:36. > :51:37.You feel that Celtic have another couple of levels, should they need

:51:38. > :51:50.them. Here comes Gordon. Talking about the level Craig Gordon

:51:51. > :51:54.has got himself back to, you mustn't forget he appears to have won the

:51:55. > :52:04.Scotland number one jersey back, as well. Started the game at Wembley. A

:52:05. > :52:10.position we are very strong in. David Marshall out of the team, at

:52:11. > :52:29.Hull City. We are blessed with good goalkeepers.

:52:30. > :52:43.Another break of the ball for Celtic but this time Dembele can't

:52:44. > :52:55.capitalise. Dembele's first he should have done

:52:56. > :52:59.better with, not sure he could have done anything with the other two.

:53:00. > :53:02.You are right, the first one was poor and that is probably the most

:53:03. > :53:19.important one. So good from Boyatta. He was in the

:53:20. > :53:25.semifinal of this competition last year. And Sviatchenko, who he plays

:53:26. > :53:54.alongside today. Sviatchenko at the start of this

:53:55. > :54:07.season... Kolo Toure back for Celtic as well on the pitch. Dembele.

:54:08. > :54:14.Goalkick. Better defending from Gary Warren that time. Just waiting,

:54:15. > :54:19.Dembele, to pull the trigger. Again, so powerful driving into the box.

:54:20. > :54:35.Warren does well to get the touch on it.

:54:36. > :54:43.Celtic up to 99 goals for the season, 50 to have come from the

:54:44. > :54:53.last 15 minutes of hearths. So are you saying we will have another go?

:54:54. > :54:57.The last 15 minutes... I predicted 4-0, so I will be happy if it stays

:54:58. > :55:00.like this. They have scored more than 30 in the last 10-15 minutes of

:55:01. > :55:15.games this season. Looking to apply some varnish.

:55:16. > :55:20.McGregor. Comes from a Dembele run again. He really is having an

:55:21. > :55:21.outstanding match. His power and his pace, they just cannot live with

:55:22. > :55:27.him. Brown. A good touch from Scott Brown

:55:28. > :55:56.to set up the shot. You can hear what the natives made

:55:57. > :55:58.of that... He's unlucky, Boyatta, gets his body in a good area but too

:55:59. > :56:17.much strength from Ebbe. He will never tire, I wouldn't have

:56:18. > :56:25.thought, of the standing ovations. He's getting another today. Moussa

:56:26. > :56:31.Dembele, with his second hat-trick in the space of six days. His third

:56:32. > :56:39.of the season. He has 26 goals for the season. And off he comes. What a

:56:40. > :56:45.contribution he has made today. He has been sensational.

:56:46. > :57:00.beehive fives to the fans around him in the dugout. Replaced by Nadir

:57:01. > :57:04.Ciftci. We're talking about Celtic players who have come back from the

:57:05. > :57:10.brink here. Nadir Ciftci were certainly at the brink. On the verge

:57:11. > :57:15.of going to Motherwell at the end of the winter window. Here he is. Came

:57:16. > :57:20.off the bench last week, as well. A loan spell in his home land last

:57:21. > :57:31.season, Turkey. A very famous Celtic shirt to wear

:57:32. > :57:38.as well. The one previously worn by Henrik Larsson and Jimmy Johnstone.

:57:39. > :57:48.Other illustrious incumbents of the number seven. Caley Thistle were

:57:49. > :57:57.knocked out by the eventual winners last season, Hibs. It took a replay.

:57:58. > :58:01.And whoever gets through to the quarterfinals, the draw for which is

:58:02. > :58:06.made at Ibrox tomorrow, the only thing I'm sure they will wish for is

:58:07. > :58:14.that they avoid Celtic. That is a fact, absolutely. Nobody wants to

:58:15. > :58:20.meet Celtic. They never say that. If you draw Celtic, you have to look

:58:21. > :58:22.play them at one point. If you win the cup, you have to play them at

:58:23. > :58:38.one stage. Easier said than done. All Celtic's defeats this season

:58:39. > :58:41.came in Europe. Some more damaging than others. Borussia

:58:42. > :58:45.Monchengladbach, as we mentioned earlier, was probably the most

:58:46. > :58:49.damaging of them. A little slip there.

:58:50. > :59:02.He's not one of those who has been booked today, McKay. Sinclair is

:59:03. > :59:05.just too quick for him, his change of direction. Brad McKay can't

:59:06. > :59:15.react. Forrest. WHISTLE

:59:16. > :59:24.Swung behind, goalkick. Celtic lost to Gibraltar in Brendan

:59:25. > :59:28.Rodgers' first game in charge. They also lost in the Champions League

:59:29. > :59:34.play-off round... Swung behind with a cross. They went through an

:59:35. > :59:42.aggregate anyway. A couple of defeats to Barcelona, Borussia

:59:43. > :59:48.Monchengladbach here in the group stage of the Champions League. They

:59:49. > :59:55.have already begun building for next season's tilt at that competition.

:59:56. > :00:03.Yes, I think Brendan Rodgers has said that himself. Celtic posting

:00:04. > :00:07.profits of ?21 million by virtues of birds for a into the Champions

:00:08. > :00:11.League and they will fancy doing it next season and the season after

:00:12. > :00:34.that. Scott Sinclair leads Caley Thistle a merry dance. No penalty.

:00:35. > :00:45.How long can they withstand this? Celtic looking for number five. It

:00:46. > :00:52.arrives! Of course it does! It is Kieran Tierney! It is his first of

:00:53. > :00:57.the season. With five to play, the smile from Brendan Rodgers says it

:00:58. > :01:02.all. Celtic five, Caley Thistle zero. They were queueing up to put

:01:03. > :01:07.it in and it is that man Forrest again, sending in a beautiful ball.

:01:08. > :01:14.A good header. A lot like the Dembele goal. We had a great moment

:01:15. > :01:18.in the last game of last season, Kieran Tierney, when he scored his

:01:19. > :01:25.first for the club in his breakthrough season. Many say he is

:01:26. > :01:37.the best Celtic full-back since Danny McGrane, who is watching today

:01:38. > :01:45.at Celtic Park. 19-year-old Kieran Tierney, with a bullet header.

:01:46. > :01:46.It will be a long journey back up to the Highland capital tonight for the

:01:47. > :01:56.visitors. Tierney is showing the other side of

:01:57. > :02:01.his game. There is Danny McGrane, you wonder what he makes of Kieran

:02:02. > :02:10.Tierney? I imagine he would be very impressed, like the rest of us.

:02:11. > :02:14.Inverness corner, it is not the first time they have conceded five,

:02:15. > :02:41.they have conceded six year before. That was a great touch into Cole,

:02:42. > :02:47.just came of Scott Brown. Another corner and an attempt to get the

:02:48. > :02:52.consolation. Before all that, we had a change for Celtic in Dedryck

:02:53. > :02:57.Boyata. Won't be scoring today, got a couple of winners against St

:02:58. > :03:02.Johnstone and Aberdeen in recent league games here. Kolo Toure will

:03:03. > :03:06.come on for him. He did not have too many questions asked of him today, I

:03:07. > :03:17.doubt he will have a much easier after noon. I suspect coaching is

:03:18. > :03:36.the next main goal for Kolo Toure. Brilliant from Gordon. Commanding.

:03:37. > :03:41.Inverness have more important battles ahead of them. A cup run is

:03:42. > :03:45.nice, of course they would have loved to have got their hands on the

:03:46. > :03:51.Scottish Cup again, but the league games that are to follow over the

:03:52. > :03:56.next few weeks are infinitely more important to Caley Thistle. They

:03:57. > :04:01.are, but as you said earlier, three very, very, very tough fixtures

:04:02. > :04:05.coming up. Hearts, Rangers, Celtic. It does not get much harder and they

:04:06. > :04:09.will not get much confidence from this game. It does not get any

:04:10. > :04:15.harder than a game here. Inverness have been blown blown away by this

:04:16. > :04:25.Celtic side. Lustig got things started with the

:04:26. > :04:37.opener. Celtic have loads of options on the counter. Scott Sinclair

:04:38. > :04:41.wanted to do it himself. Nadir Ciftci special coming he wants

:04:42. > :04:43.that ball played over to the left-hand side. He had three

:04:44. > :05:15.options, he wanted to go by himself. As usual, I will give you the

:05:16. > :05:20.extremely difficult task of asking you for your William Hill Scottish

:05:21. > :05:24.Cup Man of the Match. Who could that be, I wonder? Dembele. It would have

:05:25. > :05:29.been James Forrest had Dembele not managed to get his hat-trick, but he

:05:30. > :05:34.is just such a powerful, strong runner. He has caused this Inverness

:05:35. > :05:43.defence countless problems today, he is a top class finisher as well, my

:05:44. > :05:48.Man of the Match. Good to see that Kevin Clancy, the referee, has an

:05:49. > :05:55.air of sympathy about him. One minute of injury time added to spy

:05:56. > :06:02.Caley Thistle -- spy Caley Thistle further pain. They took a battering,

:06:03. > :06:09.as you would expect. It is top against bottom. Brown! What a finish

:06:10. > :06:13.by the captain! It is six for Celtic, who are not only going

:06:14. > :06:19.through to the quarterfinals, they are racing there. Scott Brown

:06:20. > :06:24.certainly caught this. Fantastic play down the left-hand side from

:06:25. > :06:30.Sinclair. When the ball breaks to Scott Brown, he absolutely lashes it

:06:31. > :06:40.into the top corner. A brilliant goal. That applies the varnish.

:06:41. > :06:47.Great finish by the skipper. Third of the season for Scott Brown. He

:06:48. > :06:56.scored a very important one in the Champions League qualifier. That was

:06:57. > :07:01.simply the cherry on the kick of another imperious display by Brendan

:07:02. > :07:07.Rodgers' side. They have blown away Richie Foran's Inverness, blown them

:07:08. > :07:13.out of the cup. Celtic once again demonstrate just how unstoppable

:07:14. > :07:18.they appear to be. They are indomitable. Kieran Tierney added

:07:19. > :07:23.the fifth, Dembele the sixth, Lustig started the party and Moussa Dembele

:07:24. > :07:28.squeezed another hat-trick in in between -- Brown the sixth. Celtic

:07:29. > :07:32.are the first team through to the quarterfinals of the William Hill

:07:33. > :07:36.Scottish Cup, as Moussa Dembele gets the match ball for the second week

:07:37. > :07:44.in a row after his third hat-trick of the season.

:07:45. > :07:48.Stephen Thompson, Celtic are quite clearly favourites for this

:07:49. > :07:51.tournament. That goes without saying. That doesn't mean now that

:07:52. > :07:57.when the draw is made tomorrow for the quarterfinals the only chance

:07:58. > :08:02.that the others is an away tie for Celtic at somewhere like Pittodrie,

:08:03. > :08:08.Tynecastle, Easter Road or Ibrox, even? I think so, I think they are

:08:09. > :08:13.unstoppable as Parkhead, they are pretty much in stoppable regardless.

:08:14. > :08:18.Tomorrow night after the Rangers game, they will want to avoid

:08:19. > :08:22.Celtic. 11 goals in their last two, simply unstoppable. It would take a

:08:23. > :08:26.brave man to bet against them winning the trophy. Brendan Rodgers,

:08:27. > :08:30.it is his ritual coming he will go round and applaud all the Celtic

:08:31. > :08:37.supporters. They kind of job that this little man on the -- from the

:08:38. > :08:42.county Antrim coast has done is incredible. He has completely turned

:08:43. > :08:46.this club around. This club was winning the league title anyway,

:08:47. > :08:53.what he has done in such a short space of time is pretty remarkable.

:09:24. > :09:29.moment, unbeaten domestic league, but they want to improve week on

:09:30. > :09:34.week. They were absolutely ruthless. You have got four different scorers,

:09:35. > :09:37.obviously Dembele getting his hat-trick, the two full-backs have

:09:38. > :09:42.scored today, Tierney and Lustig, and the skipper pops up at the end

:09:43. > :09:46.to get a goal. There is a juggernaut, they are absolutely

:09:47. > :09:52.flying. You see guys like McGregor and Roberts, these guys are

:09:53. > :09:58.tremendous. It is all good stuff at Celtic at this moment. Talking of

:09:59. > :10:04.full-backs scoring, this is Mikael Lustig breaking the deadlock on 20,

:10:05. > :10:16.how good this was to control Bitton on's pass? The past was sublime. You

:10:20. > :10:24.the run from Lustig, he has a wonderful pass from Nir Bitton.

:10:25. > :10:29.Inverness would have been thinking we have contained Celtic to begin

:10:30. > :10:33.with, a crucial stage in the game, the next second half of the first

:10:34. > :10:39.half you would be looking to continue that. They lost the goal.

:10:40. > :10:42.And right before half-time, two crucial points in the game that

:10:43. > :10:46.dominated and typified how much Celtic are so far ahead of the other

:10:47. > :10:50.teams, as John said they are ruthless at the right times. Let's

:10:51. > :10:56.be honest, the game was quite flat in stages, they have come away from

:10:57. > :11:00.its 6-0, a huge improvement on Celtic from last season to this, a

:11:01. > :11:05.game that really did not have a lot in it. Huge credit to Celtic because

:11:06. > :11:10.of the scoreline. The two full-backs, Lustig and Tierney,

:11:11. > :11:13.scored. Let's speak to the other goal-scorers, Scott Brown, who

:11:14. > :11:20.scored a cracker at the end, and the hat-trick man, Moussa Dembele, 26

:11:21. > :11:22.for the season. Let's hear from them.

:11:23. > :11:26.Congratulations, into the quarterfinals of the Scottish Cup in

:11:27. > :11:33.some style. Moussa ,, two hat-trick in two games, how does that feel? It

:11:34. > :11:38.feels great, we take every cup game as a final, today we showed that in

:11:39. > :11:43.scored six goals. Yes, it has been good for us. Scott, you have played

:11:44. > :11:48.with many, many good players in your career, where did he right? Right up

:11:49. > :11:52.there, he is getting stronger and stronger, he learns everything the

:11:53. > :11:57.gaffer is teaching him, he will get better as the season goes on. You

:11:58. > :12:01.don't score many, they are usually memorable. It is not often I hit the

:12:02. > :12:07.target. Nice to get the ball in the back of the net. People are saying

:12:08. > :12:16.that Celtic look unstoppable, do you feel it? Yes, we are. We are. We

:12:17. > :12:21.know what we are capable of, I think we are unstoppable. Scott, it will

:12:22. > :12:28.be difficult to stop you doing the trouble? We have to keep going every

:12:29. > :12:33.game at a time, we have won six today, but we are working hard in

:12:34. > :12:36.training. Moussa Dembele, you are the William Hill Scottish Cup Man of

:12:37. > :12:42.the Match, I'm sure your captain will do the honours. Well done.

:12:43. > :12:48.STUDIO: I think Moussa Dembele might have lost count in terms of goals

:12:49. > :12:52.today, it was six and you got three, and yes, you are on 26 for the

:12:53. > :12:55.season. We are rapidly running out of things to say about Moussa

:12:56. > :13:01.Dembele, it has all been said before, but he is a phenomenon at

:13:02. > :13:05.the age of 20. This was the goal right on half-time which ensured, I

:13:06. > :13:10.guess, that there was going to be no shock from Inverness Caley Thistle?

:13:11. > :13:16.He came in early, hit the target like all good strikers, side foot,

:13:17. > :13:20.hit the target. Fon Williams should have done better, but he is playing

:13:21. > :13:24.with confidence. Everything seems to go for you when you play with

:13:25. > :13:28.confidence. People pointed to Craig Thomson's decision in Perth last

:13:29. > :13:33.weekend, Inverness fans will make mention of the Fon Williams mistake,

:13:34. > :13:36.but, Michael, I guess the reality is that Celtic will always find a way,

:13:37. > :13:42.they have every possible plan they could need to break down a team.

:13:43. > :13:48.That was 2-0, very quickly it was three, four, five, six. Whenever

:13:49. > :13:54.they are faced with a problem or task, how to finish it off, Celtic

:13:55. > :13:58.have come up trumps. This was a wonderful, can finish. Disappointing

:14:04. > :14:09.Dembele, he slides it and guide said, this angle is great. It goes

:14:25. > :14:28.solution to that. Dembele has been a phenomenon this season. We have

:14:29. > :14:32.spoken a lot about the players that the club that Brendan Rodgers has

:14:33. > :14:36.improved, Moussa Dembele, when he first came in, coming into a new

:14:37. > :14:40.club you need time to settle, but the improvement in him in the period

:14:41. > :14:43.of time at the club has been huge, I think a lot of that is down to the

:14:44. > :14:47.manager and the philosophies they are trying to put across. Rob, two

:14:48. > :14:51.things are vital as a team, as a are trying to put across. Rob, two

:14:52. > :15:04.defender you want the goalkeeper to keep the back door shut and make the

:15:05. > :15:06.saves and you want to know you have somebody who can score, Celtic have

:15:07. > :15:09.that in abundance. Craig Gordon looking to sign a new contract. And

:15:10. > :15:11.the top goal-scorer in Scottish Lib or. Back-to-back Patrick said he did

:15:12. > :15:20.not even play the entire 90 minutes. It just shows you his confidence.

:15:21. > :15:23.This was good goal. Disappointing defending from Inverness. Dembele

:15:24. > :15:27.labour from the halfway line, too many Inverness players are ball

:15:28. > :15:32.watching, at some point somebody has to think, where is Dembele? Look at

:15:33. > :15:37.them, they are ball watching. Great play from James Forrest to standard

:15:38. > :15:41.up, a nice finish from Dembele. Simply as dangerous as him, you have

:15:42. > :15:44.a guy winning from the halfway line, at some point the defender has to

:15:45. > :15:49.take charge and say, I have to marking.

:15:50. > :15:56.The fifth goal remarkably similar. You look at the number of bodies

:15:57. > :15:59.Inverness having here, they have so many bodies back. Somebody has to

:16:00. > :16:06.mark the players but they don't. Kieran Tierney goes into the box,

:16:07. > :16:11.acres of space. Another nice pick-up from Forrest to dink it up. Plenty

:16:12. > :16:17.of bodies back for Inverness but nobody is doing what needs to be

:16:18. > :16:21.done. Kieran Tierney's first goal of the season. In sharp contrast to the

:16:22. > :16:25.26th from Moussa Dembele. Scott the season. In sharp contrast to the

:16:26. > :16:30.Brown rounded it off, a real belter. I'm just looking at this now, for

:16:31. > :16:33.the moment from an Inverness point of view, how psychologically

:16:34. > :16:41.damaging is losing six goals against anyone? It is demoralising. Richie

:16:42. > :16:45.will have to try and pick his boys up first and foremost a look at the

:16:46. > :16:48.positives. Tactically in the first 20 minutes, you could see what they

:16:49. > :16:57.were trying to do. David Raven man Martin Sinclair but the goals they

:16:58. > :17:01.lost... It is a shank! Not a fair strike but fantastic. It shows you,

:17:02. > :17:07.that will do him the world of good as well, knowing he score goals. He

:17:08. > :17:11.is bang on form, Scott Brown. Richie Foran before the game was talking

:17:12. > :17:15.about how this was a pressure free game, away from the league, they

:17:16. > :17:20.could concentrate on just the cup. When you get battered 6-0, that has

:17:21. > :17:28.a psychological effect and impact going into the next league game. Now

:17:29. > :17:31.we can hear from Kieran Tierney. You took that like a striker, are

:17:32. > :17:36.you wasted in defence? I don't know about that, I've had a few chances

:17:37. > :17:39.this season and luckily today it went in. You have come back from

:17:40. > :17:44.injury and hit the ground running. Has it been pretty much seamless,

:17:45. > :17:48.the comeback? Yes, it feels as if I've not been away. I know I put the

:17:49. > :17:52.hard work in so when I came on the park I did everything I could so I

:17:53. > :17:55.could be back to normal. And unbelievable display today that

:17:56. > :17:59.takes you into the quarterfinals. Talk to me a little about the team

:18:00. > :18:03.spirit in the dressing room. It's brilliant, the best team spirit I've

:18:04. > :18:06.ever felt. Everybody is in it together and we're looking forward

:18:07. > :18:10.to see who we get to my. It will be very difficult to stop you guys

:18:11. > :18:14.doing the treble, isn't it? It's just one game at a time, that's what

:18:15. > :18:20.we've always said, one day at a time and try to be hard to beat. Have you

:18:21. > :18:25.set yourself personal targets this season? When I got injured it was to

:18:26. > :18:27.come back, get game time and I've played six games, hopefully

:18:28. > :18:33.continue. Well done. He is one reason Celtic's

:18:34. > :18:42.chief executive is rubbing his hands. I just saw him scribbling the

:18:43. > :18:46.price tag for Moussa Dembele and putting up a couple of notches. I

:18:47. > :18:53.was very impressed with Moussa Dembele's response and I heard in

:18:54. > :18:58.the press, saying he was happy and wanted to be there for a few years.

:18:59. > :19:02.Brendan says, don't be saying anything too much, one game at a

:19:03. > :19:06.time, let's keep our feet firmly on the ground. But behind the scenes he

:19:07. > :19:10.will be talking and saying, we're going for this treble, let's keep

:19:11. > :19:17.this run going, this unbeaten run going as long as they can. John

:19:18. > :19:23.Collins at this kid could be anything he wants. I'm surprised at

:19:24. > :19:30.his first goal, his rampaging full-back. I'm really pleased for

:19:31. > :19:32.him. You can see the hard work you've put in. Sometimes when you

:19:33. > :19:38.put in the hard work, you get your reward. The work ethic remarkable

:19:39. > :19:44.from Celtic. You've seen teams switch off... We can throw it at

:19:45. > :19:52.Brendan Rodgers, here is the Celtic manager now, post 's, 6-0 against

:19:53. > :19:55.Inverness Caley Thistle. Brendan, congratulations, through to

:19:56. > :19:58.the quarterfinals in some style. Where does it rank in terms of your

:19:59. > :20:01.performances with Celtic this season?

:20:02. > :20:08.I think performance wise it was very good. I think you can analyse

:20:09. > :20:13.quickly all the elements of the game we worked on. Defensively, we kept a

:20:14. > :20:16.clean sheet. Inverness have got some really good technical players, but

:20:17. > :20:21.we never really gave them the chance to make any passing sequences, when

:20:22. > :20:25.we gave the ball away our counter press for strong and aggressive and

:20:26. > :20:29.we limited them to any build-up to build up an attack. That element of

:20:30. > :20:33.the game is very good, defensively solid. Anything we had to deal with,

:20:34. > :20:38.we dealt with with calmness. Inverness were aggressive. I think

:20:39. > :20:41.you saw that in the game. One or two strong challenges but we stood up to

:20:42. > :20:45.that and dealt with it. But then when we had the ball, I thought we

:20:46. > :20:51.were outstanding. From behind, we built the game really well. Good

:20:52. > :20:58.quality midfield. At times a bit loose in the second half, but the

:20:59. > :21:02.final third we were so incisive. And obviously got our six goals. So

:21:03. > :21:08.yeah, real good attacking intent if the team, but players played

:21:09. > :21:12.defensively well as well. Much has been made of Moussa Dembele

:21:13. > :21:16.recently, his second hat-trick in as many weeks. So much talk about him

:21:17. > :21:21.in January. That is valuation just keep going up and up?

:21:22. > :21:25.I don't really think about that. I'm looking at him as a young player who

:21:26. > :21:29.is improving. He's only just 20 years of age. You see the level of

:21:30. > :21:33.his game. I see elements of his game that we work on in training

:21:34. > :21:39.improving all the time. How he receives it, moving it with his

:21:40. > :21:43.touch. He has a natural instinct to score. Always in the box wanting to

:21:44. > :21:46.score goals but he has a top-class temperament for a young player. I

:21:47. > :21:51.thought he took all his goals really well today. Two fallbacks scored, so

:21:52. > :21:59.it shows that aggressive intent of the team. Wonderful touch and finish

:22:00. > :22:03.and Kieran Tierney getting a head. It shows you the mentality of the

:22:04. > :22:08.keen to keep pushing. I thought Scott Sinclair, who didn't score

:22:09. > :22:12.today, was absolutely brilliant. One against one and creating

:22:13. > :22:15.opportunities and the two wideboys, James Forrest should have scored. He

:22:16. > :22:17.was in a great position to press the ball. Got himself in front of goal,

:22:18. > :22:23.was in a great position to press the but that was the only thing that

:22:24. > :22:27.didn't happen for him all day. So yeah, the value of the team is

:22:28. > :22:31.improving all the time and performing well. In terms of where

:22:32. > :22:35.this leaves you this season, I know it's constantly one game a time, we

:22:36. > :22:41.just take one game at a time, but does this feel like a treble winning

:22:42. > :22:45.squad? It feels like a team and a squad of players whose developing

:22:46. > :22:48.and enjoying their work. I think the beauty of this second part of the

:22:49. > :22:53.season as we get longer to work with the players now, so we can actually

:22:54. > :22:57.really enjoy a spell where we can coach them and improved elements of

:22:58. > :23:01.their game we felt needed improving from the first half of the season.

:23:02. > :23:06.But still very, very early in our time here. We want to develop.

:23:07. > :23:10.There's nothing better, as a coach, when you see that relationship

:23:11. > :23:14.between training and the games. But there's still a lot of work to do

:23:15. > :23:20.here. But like I say, the supporters I think I happy, there are enjoying

:23:21. > :23:23.watching their team. They've been entertained, but they see what the

:23:24. > :23:27.players are putting in. At this moment in time, their attitude in

:23:28. > :23:32.the games has been first-class. Well done, thank you. Pleasure. A good

:23:33. > :23:37.place to be at the moment for Brendan. You can see from that

:23:38. > :23:39.interview, they have won six mil and his Saudi thinking about the next

:23:40. > :23:44.game, about getting the treble done. game, about getting the treble done.

:23:45. > :23:48.-- they have won 6-0 and he is already thinking about the next

:23:49. > :23:51.game. Yes, I think that shines through in

:23:52. > :23:55.the results they are getting. There is a determination and a hunger to

:23:56. > :23:59.continue to improve. As I was saying before, this game was quite flat at

:24:00. > :24:05.times, but to go out and continually want to drive the advantage home and

:24:06. > :24:09.get six goals... They could have come out of this game with a 2-0

:24:10. > :24:14.victory, all expected and a bit flat but so many positives to come out of

:24:15. > :24:19.that. 6-0, two fallbacks scoring goals, Dembele with a hat-trick.

:24:20. > :24:23.Continual improvement. You can hear that from Brendan Rodgers, always

:24:24. > :24:28.wanting to push forward and improve as a cogent. That is the fifth round

:24:29. > :24:36.of the William Hill Scottish Cup under way. Here is what follows. 53

:24:37. > :24:44.o'clock kick-offs today and the two matches tomorrow. Let's get a taste

:24:45. > :24:50.of some of the up. First is a match between Ross County in Aberdeen. A

:24:51. > :24:54.great cup tie in prospect. If it's anything like the last meeting

:24:55. > :24:56.between these two will be special. Ross County won that with a late

:24:57. > :25:03.goal. Ross County are performing Ross County won that with a late

:25:04. > :25:07.pretty strongly against the so-called bigger side. Aberdeen

:25:08. > :25:11.named the same starting XI, they are in great form, strong looking bench

:25:12. > :25:15.and desperate to improve on a fairly poor Scottish Cup record in the last

:25:16. > :25:21.couple of seasons, as well as going for second in the Premiership.

:25:22. > :25:26.Expect attacking and goals. Ross County against Aberdeen. Do we get

:25:27. > :25:30.that in writing question let's hope so. If you're looking for a shock

:25:31. > :25:36.today it might be East End Park. Dunfermline from the championship

:25:37. > :25:39.against Premiership Hamilton. You stole my line. The home team

:25:40. > :25:46.have advantage here. Pretty decent form as well before their defeat

:25:47. > :25:51.last weekend, 11 games unbeaten before that. In pretty decent form.

:25:52. > :25:55.Hamilton's form has been up and down, only taking two wins since the

:25:56. > :25:59.13th of December. So yes, some would say there could be a cup upset here.

:26:00. > :26:05.Both sets of players are out on the park warming up. The fans are

:26:06. > :26:09.starting to arrive for this one. A cold day here. Hopefully the

:26:10. > :26:10.football will warm us up. You have a few layers on! Dunfermline against

:26:11. > :26:18.Hamilton. Let's look in at East Fife against

:26:19. > :26:21.the Mirren. East Fife from League 1 but a great unbeaten runs they are

:26:22. > :26:24.on. They might fancy their chances against the championship strugglers

:26:25. > :26:28.some Mirren. The last meeting between these two

:26:29. > :26:35.site was nearly ten years ago, a League Cup tie. They came away from

:26:36. > :26:41.Paisley with a 1-0 win. East Fife fifth in League 1, just one point

:26:42. > :26:45.away from a play-off promotion spot. Some Mirren have a recent record of

:26:46. > :26:50.one win in the last eight. Smith's side will go into this game with

:26:51. > :26:54.great confidence. 1938 was the only time Fife lifted the trophy. This is

:26:55. > :26:57.the 30th anniversary of St Mirren's last Scottish Cup win, a famous 1-0

:26:58. > :27:02.the 30th anniversary of St Mirren's win over Dundee United. It is wet

:27:03. > :27:06.and windy, his fight against St Mirren. We did get a chance earlier

:27:07. > :27:10.on to talk about Rangers and Morton tomorrow. The other big cup tie,

:27:11. > :27:14.involving one of your old teams is the Edinburgh derby, of course. What

:27:15. > :27:20.have you made of in cut-throat and how's he's adapted to front-line

:27:21. > :27:24.management so far? -- in cut-throat. The result against Rangers has

:27:25. > :27:29.steadied the ship a little bit. Who did they play after Rangers?

:27:30. > :27:32.Motherwell. They got a good result against Motherwell. That could be

:27:33. > :27:37.dangerous, because they are scoring goals, they are at it, on the front

:27:38. > :27:41.foot. They have Walker, who is on good form. Scoring goals. That could

:27:42. > :27:46.be dangerous. I feel they could go into the Edinburgh derby... They are

:27:47. > :27:52.at home, they have to attack, the fans demand that. If Neil Lennon is

:27:53. > :27:57.very clever he could pick the right team and go and pick them off. It's

:27:58. > :28:02.easy for me... Who do I fancy doing? He's picked Hearts so I will take

:28:03. > :28:07.Hibs. These games, great games to play in and it's what happens on the

:28:08. > :28:10.day. You have seen his record for football forecasting and gone

:28:11. > :28:14.against. That was a good decision, your best for the day. Thanks to

:28:15. > :28:18.Michael and John as well for joining me in the studio. We heard from some

:28:19. > :28:26.of the reporters there who will feature on the results programme on

:28:27. > :28:30.BBC Two Scotland today at 4:30pm. Inverness Caley Thistle the only

:28:31. > :28:36.team to deprive Celtic of league points this season but never much

:28:37. > :28:37.chance of them depriving Celtic of a quarterfinal place in the Scottish

:28:38. > :28:53.Cup finals. I want to hear

:28:54. > :29:00.# Piece by piece # Piece by piece

:29:01. > :29:01.# You know what I want
