:00:10. > :00:21.Hello, good evening and welcome to sports in.

:00:22. > :00:34.-- welcome to Sportscene. COMMENTATOR: The shot is an absolute

:00:35. > :00:48.beauty! And it's there! What a finish! That is it, I would imagine.

:00:49. > :00:59.It's gone in! They've done it again! Somersaults, Falkirk have scored in

:01:00. > :01:07.stoppage time. Its advantage to the Championship died.

:01:08. > :01:16.Kilmarnock and Falkirk grappling for a place in the Premiership next

:01:17. > :01:21.season, which side would land the knockout blow? With us in the studio

:01:22. > :01:26.tonight, Pat Nevin and Tom English. Later we will also look back at a

:01:27. > :01:31.memorable Scottish Cup final, but first straight to Rugby Park. The

:01:32. > :01:35.entire seasons of both sides about to be defined.

:01:36. > :01:42.COMMENTATOR: Lee Clark has brought Josh Magennis back into his starting

:01:43. > :01:47.line-up, having missed the first leg because of a hamstring problem. Will

:01:48. > :01:52.that be a risk? It's a big afternoon for 18-year-old Greg Taylor, who

:01:53. > :01:59.makes just his second start. Lee Hodson on his more natural right

:02:00. > :02:09.side. Peter Houston has gone slightly more pragmatic today, with

:02:10. > :02:15.Tom Taiwo recalled. Goalkeeper Danny Rogers plays his last game before

:02:16. > :02:25.returning to parent club Aberdeen. The referee is Willie Collum, he is

:02:26. > :02:36.off to the European Championships in the summer. Seldom are the stakes

:02:37. > :02:42.higher. Falkirk kick off going towards the Moffat stand. Game

:02:43. > :02:47.number 1052 of the season across all of Scotland's domestic competitions.

:02:48. > :02:55.The final matter to be resolved, who will be team 12 in the Premiership

:02:56. > :03:00.and team ten in the Championship. First chance for Josh Magennis in

:03:01. > :03:08.the channel. Good play by Meg Ennis, big chance early on! And a massive

:03:09. > :03:16.goal early on as well from Greg Kiltie! Two minutes in and

:03:17. > :03:24.Kilmarnock have lightened the Falkirk advantage. It's a dream

:03:25. > :03:30.start for Kilmarnock. Greg Kiltie back in the side and you can see

:03:31. > :03:37.why. One touch and then drilled into the back of the net. A great start

:03:38. > :03:41.for Kilmarnock. Meg Ennis plays his part and Kiltie in the right place

:03:42. > :03:48.to finish. Falkirk scored late in the first leg, Kilmarnock score

:03:49. > :03:50.early in the second leg, and it is 1-1 on the aggregate scoreline. What

:03:51. > :04:03.a positive start from the home team. Tom Taiwo, in four Blair Alston

:04:04. > :04:10.today, a big call from Peter Houston. There is the free kick. It

:04:11. > :04:22.will take something special to beat legal keeper. Mark Kerr over the

:04:23. > :04:31.free kick. Half away by Ashcroft. Will Vaulks. Will Vaulks will fancy

:04:32. > :04:34.the long throw. Every time they get in the final third, Falkirk have a

:04:35. > :04:41.method of putting you under pressure. It's a real weapon coming

:04:42. > :04:42.here it comes. This is Tom Taiwo! Well, that would have been some

:04:43. > :04:50.response. Tom Taiwo strikes Well, that would have been some

:04:51. > :05:01.well. Not sure if it is actually going in.

:05:02. > :05:14.Good work by Boyd, up against Luke Leahy. He has gone short. Falkirk

:05:15. > :05:27.standing off a bit here, not a bad ball either! They have turned this

:05:28. > :05:31.right round! Addison puts Kilmarnock in front on aggregate, and we

:05:32. > :05:38.haven't even played eight minutes. What a solid shot. Well, Falkirk

:05:39. > :05:45.completely switched off. They take the throw short, nobody is going to

:05:46. > :05:53.him. It falls perfectly for Miles Addison from about six inches, he

:05:54. > :05:58.smashes it into the back of the net. It's an absolute dream for

:05:59. > :06:01.Kilmarnock. It could go absolutely anywhere but it goes to Miles

:06:02. > :06:06.Addison, who is in the right place at the right time. Kilmarnock could

:06:07. > :06:13.seldom have dreamt of a better start to this second leg. It has been

:06:14. > :06:15.stunning, their reaction. Aaron Muirhead was unlucky, but Addison

:06:16. > :06:32.was there to score his first goal for Killie. Chance here for Falkirk,

:06:33. > :06:38.their first corner of the afternoon. Shouts for a penalty. The manager

:06:39. > :06:42.clearly agrees with them. Addison had his hand up. The referee maybe

:06:43. > :06:59.doesn't see it or see enough contact. Meg Ennis. --

:07:00. > :07:09.Another opportunity for Killie to load the box. Slater's corner kick.

:07:10. > :07:17.This is Slater! It falls into the arms of Danny Rogers. Struggling

:07:18. > :07:23.defensively, Falkirk. He has got so much time. Nobody confronts him and

:07:24. > :07:32.he has so much time to shoot. Well, they are fortunate. Will Vaulks.

:07:33. > :07:43.Slept through to Kiltie. Options left and right. Obadeyi and Boyd. He

:07:44. > :07:51.could make his mind and eventually runs a cul-de-sac. Play on for

:07:52. > :08:01.Falkirk here, with Baird. A foul by McCracken in the build-up to this.

:08:02. > :08:09.Luke Leahy, to Baird, to Mark Kerr. Only half away, back with Baird

:08:10. > :08:15.here. Sibbald! Big chance and it would have been spectacular. Well,

:08:16. > :08:19.if he strikes this properly there's a real chance this ends up in the

:08:20. > :08:20.back of the net. He's got to go to the scissor kick but doesn't get

:08:21. > :08:36.enough on it. No great power. Still got it, Lee Clark.

:08:37. > :08:38.certainly kicks every ball, doesn't he? One of the most animated

:08:39. > :08:51.managers you are ever going to see. Half-time at Rugby Park. The Killie

:08:52. > :08:59.players receiving a standing ovation! Greg Kiltie cancelling out

:09:00. > :09:06.the first leg goal from Will Vaulks, and Miles Addison adding to it not

:09:07. > :09:18.long afterwards, and Kilmarnock were 2-1 up soon, eight minutes into the

:09:19. > :09:24.second leg. It is 2-0, 2-1 Killie on aggregate.

:09:25. > :09:29.The 166th meeting between the clubs, but this certainly the most

:09:30. > :09:36.important meeting since 2010 and that relegation scrap at the end of

:09:37. > :09:40.that campaign. Falkirk know when they look back at their season they

:09:41. > :09:52.have only failed to score on five occasions. It could get edgy late in

:09:53. > :09:57.the game. Lee Clark wants his players to push an score again and

:09:58. > :10:02.give themselves a cushion. A foul by Mark Kerr on Greg Kiltie, that has

:10:03. > :10:10.presented Kilmarnock with a good opportunity. Craig Slater certainly

:10:11. > :10:17.gets plenty of it. Slater with this free kick, it's a good one! Great

:10:18. > :10:23.save and that over the bar from Obadeyi! What a chance. That's

:10:24. > :10:29.incredible. It comes at him quickly. It's a decent save. But it's got to

:10:30. > :10:36.end up in the back of the net. Amazing. How important is that going

:10:37. > :10:39.to prove to be? It was Ashcroft with the initial effort. Obadeyi was

:10:40. > :10:56.surprised it reached him. Killie 2-0 up, 2-1 up on aggregate.

:10:57. > :11:01.This is Greg Kiltie, easy to Danny Rogers. They are making

:11:02. > :11:07.opportunities, Kilmarnock. Falkirk are not creating nearly as much as

:11:08. > :11:13.their hosts. It is not a great effort from Greg Kiltie but shows

:11:14. > :11:20.confidence. Here comes Obadeyi, who has got pitched to work in. Taking

:11:21. > :11:31.on Muirhead. Back it comes, big chance! Take gold for Kilmarnock!

:11:32. > :11:37.That might be the goals that keeps Killie in the top flight. Kiltie

:11:38. > :11:43.does it again. His second, Kilmarnock's third, and it is a

:11:44. > :11:49.long, long way back now for the Bears. When he gets that room come

:11:50. > :11:54.he knows he's got pace, he knows he can take people on. He slows up and

:11:55. > :12:01.then puts on the afterburner and then like he did in the first half,

:12:02. > :12:05.Kiltie scores. He knows if you hit the target there's a good chance it

:12:06. > :12:10.can end up in the back of the net. Great play by Toby Obadeyi. -- by

:12:11. > :12:21.Toby they have given themselves that

:12:22. > :12:24.cushion to defend. Kilmarnock and saved arguably their best

:12:25. > :12:28.performance of the season when the stakes were at their highest.

:12:29. > :12:41.Blair Alston, back for Mark Kerr. And now Killie are on their bike and

:12:42. > :12:48.looking to kill this stone dead. Josh Magennis is there, and Kris

:12:49. > :12:58.Boyd is therefore a tap in! They are surely staying up now! Kris Boyd,

:12:59. > :13:06.who scored goals aplenty to keep them up two years ago, has surely

:13:07. > :13:15.done Falkirk in now. It's a glory day for Killie. That says an station

:13:16. > :13:18.or break. Josh Magennis gets the ball and the defender has a little

:13:19. > :13:23.trip at him. He goes on his own, then he has the pace and the

:13:24. > :13:31.composure to see Kris Boyd. He can't miss. Magennis lays it on a plate.

:13:32. > :13:36.The great thing about Magennis, he never thought about himself, he did

:13:37. > :13:42.it all for the team. He might have scored, but Kris Boyd would

:13:43. > :13:46.definitely score. One of Scottish football's deadliest gunslingers,

:13:47. > :13:54.who has won titles, cups, silverware aplenty. But that will feel just as

:13:55. > :14:01.good to him. Muirhead, it was a good dummy by Miller. He's back onto it.

:14:02. > :14:05.Blair Alston! Jamie MacDonald spilt it but they couldn't take advantage.

:14:06. > :14:13.A free kick to Kilmarnock to take the pressure off. That was a chance,

:14:14. > :14:19.wasn't it? As Blair Alston gets the ball away, he has taken a crack as

:14:20. > :14:29.well. As soon as the goalkeeper makes the stop... He is more than

:14:30. > :14:39.willing to take that for the team. Kiltie has knocked it through 20

:14:40. > :14:46.Hara, Boyd is in support. It's Mark O'Hara. Unusual position really for

:14:47. > :14:51.Mark O'Hara. He fancied going for it himself. Kris Boyd had made up the

:14:52. > :14:56.ground. He sees in their committee could slip a pasta him but he

:14:57. > :15:02.decides to try his luck. -- slid a pass to him. This would be the

:15:03. > :15:07.biggest Kilmarnock celebration since they won the League Cup in 2012

:15:08. > :15:11.under Kenny Shiels. That was a glory day for them. They won't have any

:15:12. > :15:19.silverware to celebrate today but it will feel like winning a trophy,

:15:20. > :15:31.especially when you see how long it taken... Surely it is too little too

:15:32. > :15:37.late for Falkirk. I'm not sure that goal is going to be given. It's a

:15:38. > :15:51.free kick, it's not going to count. That sums up Falkirk's afternoon. It

:15:52. > :15:56.looks like a foul, I think the assistant got in his ear and said

:15:57. > :16:09.it's definitely a foul. I think it was always going to be a foul given

:16:10. > :16:18.for that. Steve Miller. It has been a fabulous performance from

:16:19. > :16:32.Kilmarnock. Looking to finish its -- to finish it all off. A wonderful

:16:33. > :16:37.run. McKenzie was going for goal and smashed it off his team-mate. A real

:16:38. > :16:42.feather in the capital Clark. He will have been monitoring where this

:16:43. > :16:52.performance was for the last couple of months. -- feather in the cap for

:16:53. > :16:56.Lee Clark. Kilmarnock supporters in the stand over on this near side on

:16:57. > :17:07.their feet, pretty much, in anticipation of Willie Collum's

:17:08. > :17:12.final whistle. Taylor, he has looked assured at left-back in just two

:17:13. > :17:22.seconds dark. -- in just his second start. Everyone looking at their

:17:23. > :17:26.watch. We mustn't forget the job that Peter Houston has done a

:17:27. > :17:30.Falkirk. We mustn't forget the season they've had. They lost fewer

:17:31. > :17:36.games than Rangers in the league, Falkirk. Draws and not enough wins

:17:37. > :17:41.on the road have cost them. But again it's away from home where they

:17:42. > :17:48.have been dealt a hard blow, and Lee Clark has steered Kilmarnock to

:17:49. > :17:52.safety. 23 is of top-flight football has been preserved. Once again there

:17:53. > :18:04.is a pitch invasion, as we saw in the Scottish Cup final and as we saw

:18:05. > :18:06.here takes years ago. Goals ROM Kiltie, Addison, Kiltie again and

:18:07. > :18:12.Kris Boyd ensuring that Kilmarnock will be playing SPL football next

:18:13. > :18:19.season. Falkirk left brokenhearted, there wait for top-flight football

:18:20. > :18:23.goes on and on. It finished here at Rugby Park Kilmarnock 4-0 Falkirk,

:18:24. > :18:31.4-1 to Killie on aggregate. Kilmarnock survive, Falkirk fall at

:18:32. > :18:33.the final hurdle. After the match eight delighted Lee Clark spoke to

:18:34. > :18:37.our row senior football reporter. I eight delighted Lee Clark spoke to

:18:38. > :18:45.take responsible at evil old club, as manager. -- at the whole club.

:18:46. > :18:49.Who would have knows what would have happened if I had went down to the

:18:50. > :18:52.Championship. I didn't want to be the manager that was around if that

:18:53. > :18:57.happened. We have to celebrate that we have to use it as a warning as

:18:58. > :19:02.well. The last three or four years, the club has been fighting this type

:19:03. > :19:06.of scenario for too long. We will recruit strongly over the summer and

:19:07. > :19:11.we will try to copy clubs like St Johnstone, Ross County, Motherwell.

:19:12. > :19:15.Those clubs who don't have the huge, huge budgets in terms of the Old

:19:16. > :19:19.Those clubs who don't have the huge, Firm and Hearts and Aberdeen etc,

:19:20. > :19:22.but they are very competitive and challenging at the right end of the

:19:23. > :19:26.table. So it has been shown that it can be done and we have to try and

:19:27. > :19:30.emulate that. When you lose two goals in the first six minutes, that

:19:31. > :19:34.gives the impetus to Kilmarnock. I think we were still involved up to

:19:35. > :19:37.the third goal. We gave the ball away needlessly and they

:19:38. > :19:45.counter-attacked and scored against us. I look at this Falkirk team on

:19:46. > :19:52.the last day of the season last year in the cup final... We fell a bit

:19:53. > :19:57.short but we have improved and we can get better. It's just such a

:19:58. > :20:04.relief to finally get out of the position we were in. After Thursday

:20:05. > :20:08.I was thinking, are we going to survive? But after that performance

:20:09. > :20:12.today, it's been brilliant. It was a raucous day at Rugby Park.

:20:13. > :20:18.Kilmarnock fans truly turned out in force and in the end celebrations in

:20:19. > :20:24.the sunshine. Relief the dominant emotion as they vanquished Falkirk

:20:25. > :20:28.in some style to preserve their Premiership status. Tom, you were

:20:29. > :20:32.there, how impressed were you with Kilmarnock? Finally they found

:20:33. > :20:35.something, they found a clean sheet, a dominant performance and

:20:36. > :20:38.ruthlessness in front of goal. It took all season for them to find

:20:39. > :20:45.that performance but they found it when they needed it most. I still

:20:46. > :20:49.think it's a bit weird seeing them celebrating in front of a sign that

:20:50. > :20:53.there is winners, when it should really say "Not losers". It should

:20:54. > :20:59.be a feeling of relief really rather than a great triumph. As for

:21:00. > :21:01.Kilmarnock in sums of today... A lot of it was to do with their manager

:21:02. > :21:05.Kilmarnock in sums of today... A lot who set them up well. He allowed

:21:06. > :21:09.Josh Magennis out of the traps as well, which made a big difference.

:21:10. > :21:13.They had a lot of pace and power and in the end Falkirk just couldn't

:21:14. > :21:25.work with it. Interesting to see that the two wide players, Obadeyi

:21:26. > :21:31.and Kiltie wide, it was a nice little dummy in there as well. --

:21:32. > :21:37.Obadeyi and Magennis wide. If you go to that byline, the wingers's union,

:21:38. > :21:42.and get a cut back, it is a defender's nightmare. Josh Magennis

:21:43. > :21:46.such an important player for Kilmarnock? And was excellent today,

:21:47. > :21:48.he looks like a guy who was really focused on getting that seem out of

:21:49. > :21:54.trouble at the bottom. He was a handful. In terms of the first leg,

:21:55. > :21:59.we saw issues with the Kilmarnock defending. Today, for the sacking

:22:00. > :22:07.Kilmarnock goal, issues with the Falkirk defending. This time, he has

:22:08. > :22:13.got two on one against him and he doesn't know what to do. It's a

:22:14. > :22:18.great ball in hand it's a battle. He's saying, come on, help me, I

:22:19. > :22:22.need help. I don't want to be two on one. But his mate is running away.

:22:23. > :22:26.He needs to be out there. When that cross comes in, you need to make

:22:27. > :22:32.sure it's not a cross exactly where you want it. That ball should not be

:22:33. > :22:39.allowed to be put in with that amount of power, pace and whip. We

:22:40. > :22:43.talk about cup finals and play-offs, it's about desire. They wanted it.

:22:44. > :22:47.They absolutely wanted it and they wanted it from the first minute.

:22:48. > :22:51.When you've got that sort of fan base, and by the way a lot of

:22:52. > :22:56.Falkirk fans there as well, that seemed to lift the Killie players as

:22:57. > :23:06.well. It kept getting better. In Greg Kiltie, they really have a star

:23:07. > :23:19.in the making. In Tope Obadeyi as well. Here he is, Atleti deadeye

:23:20. > :23:24.accurate. He picks out Kiltie. Absolutely deadeye accurate. You

:23:25. > :23:30.have some with the pace that he's got hammering it in. You let him get

:23:31. > :23:33.to that byline and it is a defender's nightmare. But no

:23:34. > :23:41.complaints with Peter Houston, what he did with his team, they had to

:23:42. > :23:45.have a go. That happened in front of the Falkirk fans, who were

:23:46. > :23:48.excellent. Just talking about them going man-to-man at the end and they

:23:49. > :23:58.have had to do it again and it that pure pace of Kiltie. It is man on

:23:59. > :24:02.man again and when you break with pace, there's nothing they can do,

:24:03. > :24:09.absolutely nothing. He was caught between a rock and a hard place.

:24:10. > :24:15.It's a great run and it's a goal and it sums up, that was the 20th goal

:24:16. > :24:18.Falkirk have conceded in the last 11 games and they get away with it

:24:19. > :24:23.because of this indomitable spirit they've had, scoring two and three

:24:24. > :24:31.but today they didn't get away with it. That was just turning off for a

:24:32. > :24:35.moment but for the first eight minutes it was mayhem. The rest of

:24:36. > :24:39.the time, the defensive mistakes were because you have to go forward

:24:40. > :24:44.and take a chance. Great unselfish play from Josh Magennis and great

:24:45. > :24:49.atmosphere at Rugby Park today. That was really important. It's so often

:24:50. > :24:55.a relief for atmosphere at that ground. It was fantastic, the whole

:24:56. > :25:01.aspect of the stadium, Falkirk were magnificent with their support as

:25:02. > :25:02.well. -- the whole aesthetic. Lee Clark is such an adjusting

:25:03. > :25:06.character, is usually emotional Clark is such an adjusting

:25:07. > :25:10.today. He enjoyed that, didn't he? What do you expect from him next

:25:11. > :25:15.season? Well, he's obviously committed to the job. He has done OK

:25:16. > :25:20.in the job, he hasn't let the place up but he has kept them alive and I

:25:21. > :25:24.suspect he will change the team dramatically. Because let's face it,

:25:25. > :25:28.Kilmarnock got the job done today but they failed over the course of

:25:29. > :25:31.the season. For the last four seasons before this, they've been

:25:32. > :25:35.flirting with that 11th place. This season they finished 11th and they

:25:36. > :25:40.got away with it. But they can't keep finishing 11th, in and around

:25:41. > :25:43.that relegation area. Falkirk falling at the final hurdle, so

:25:44. > :25:47.painful for them and Peter Houston as well, but at the same time you

:25:48. > :25:52.have to say it's been a fantastic thrilling ride for those fans. You

:25:53. > :25:55.understand that and accept that completely, but you look at those

:25:56. > :25:59.Falkirk fans and they understand, they are punching so far above their

:26:00. > :26:03.weight to do what they have done for the last couple of seasons. Either

:26:04. > :26:06.used and got to a cup final last season and within one game of

:26:07. > :26:12.getting up to the Premier League. I would have loved to have said that

:26:13. > :26:15.for him. -- Peter Houston. To a cup final.

:26:16. > :26:26.We didn't often get crowds like that and hopefully it is the start of

:26:27. > :26:31.something new. Lee Clark, with his attitude, I think there will be good

:26:32. > :26:33.times ahead for Kilmarnock. Well done Kilmarnock comment

:26:34. > :26:40.commiserations to Falkirk. It has been a massive weekend of action.

:26:41. > :26:54.Time to look back on a memorable Scottish Cup final. Alan Stubbs does

:26:55. > :27:00.tend to set his side up like he has done today. It sometimes works and

:27:01. > :27:07.it sometimes doesn't. Here is Cummins for Stokes. Doesn't have

:27:08. > :27:19.anyone to edit down the middle. And why not? Is it an? Hibs lead the

:27:20. > :27:24.Scottish Cup final! What a start. That is a finish from strokes but it

:27:25. > :27:28.seems far too easy. The referee plays a good advantage, the ball

:27:29. > :27:36.comes to Stokes, the referee could have given a free and says play on.

:27:37. > :27:44.Anthony Stokes is not confronted. It's poor defending but exactly the

:27:45. > :27:49.start Hibs were looking for. Anthony Stokes, on loan from Celtic, that's

:27:50. > :27:58.Hibbert earlier in front in the Scottish Cup final. The stuff that

:27:59. > :28:03.dreams are made of. A Gonalons three minutes and Alan Stubbs could

:28:04. > :28:16.scarcely have dreamt of a better start last night when he went to his

:28:17. > :28:29.bed. He was looking for a bit of space, wag run. It's a good one. It

:28:30. > :28:41.is Kenny Miller. Rangers missed out. Does it again. A great header from

:28:42. > :28:44.Kenny Miller. When you don't have big strikers Emile Gupta has the

:28:45. > :28:52.ball in. That is a beauty that is a belter of a header. He has no chance

:28:53. > :28:58.of getting there. Brilliant header. Kenny Miller does what he does and

:28:59. > :29:14.what he has been doing for years. For club and country. What an

:29:15. > :29:20.effort. So unlucky. Hibs were almost back in front. It has turned into an

:29:21. > :29:30.incredible game. Stokes get the ball, create space. How lucky is

:29:31. > :29:36.that? Cracks of the post, spins out. But magnificent effort. The manager

:29:37. > :29:52.cannot believe it. Gary Mackay to take. Miller has got a free header.

:29:53. > :30:06.What a lead off for Hibs. Look how much room Kenny Miller has got. He

:30:07. > :30:21.is really unlucky. Here is Halliday. Nice touch. There is nothing you can

:30:22. > :30:30.do about that. Andy Halliday puts Rangers in front. That is an

:30:31. > :30:38.absolute beauty. He set up but what a strike this series. Bank! You will

:30:39. > :30:47.not see a better strike than that. Just inside the post. He has got a

:30:48. > :30:55.powerful left foot. He has hit about. It is a 10th of the season

:30:56. > :31:00.from Andy hello Halliday and he has just put them in front in a Scottish

:31:01. > :31:02.Cup final. What a feeling that him and what a feeling for Mark

:31:03. > :31:26.Warburton. It's an! It is Anthony Stokes again.

:31:27. > :31:34.Anthony Stokes rescues Hibernian. They are right back in this.

:31:35. > :31:47.Big-time. Anthony Stokes gets a free header. Once again, defensively, he

:31:48. > :31:53.uses his marker of the ball in finishes in style. Well, it has been

:31:54. > :32:00.Anthony Stokes's day so far. It is the second of the match. It is a

:32:01. > :32:05.burning's second and Rangers two, Hibs two with ten to play. Space to

:32:06. > :32:18.operate here and he has got Stokes after the left. Here is Stokes, into

:32:19. > :32:26.injury time. A decent save. He certainly struck well. You imagine

:32:27. > :32:29.being a Hibs player who scores a hat-trick in the final minute of the

:32:30. > :32:39.Scottish Cup final. In comes the corner. There goes the goal from

:32:40. > :32:45.David Gray! 114 years of pain about to be brought to a thundering end

:32:46. > :32:54.here. A stunning goal to end stoppage time. And with one stretch

:32:55. > :33:00.of the neck muscles, had burning's pain and misery could be over. What

:33:01. > :33:05.a touch from the skipper. He is brave, you has got his head on it

:33:06. > :33:09.and has knocked it into the back of the net, another decent corner from

:33:10. > :33:13.Henderson and the man who wanted most was David Gray, no chance for

:33:14. > :33:19.the goalkeeper and Hibs are in pole position to win it. Rangers have

:33:20. > :33:28.played their part in this final but they are very much about to be the

:33:29. > :33:34.losers by the looks of things. All eyes are on the referee here.

:33:35. > :33:39.Rangers have one last chance? No, they don't. Ladies and gentlemen,

:33:40. > :33:52.you eyewitness to a moment of Scottish history. Hibernian have won

:33:53. > :34:01.the Scottish Cup! These are scenes that SFA will not want to see. It is

:34:02. > :34:08.not want anyone wanted. I'm a bit emotional. I actually thought we

:34:09. > :34:11.would win 3-1. This was weeks ago and I had a funny feeling. I knew

:34:12. > :34:15.the players were so disappointed and I had a funny feeling. I knew

:34:16. > :34:20.last Friday. When you buy their reaction on Friday that they were

:34:21. > :34:26.ready for this game. I am delighted for all the fans, or the players,

:34:27. > :34:37.the pub or club. They are history makers. Scoring a goal in the last

:34:38. > :34:47.minute... Incredible. Talk me through the goal itself. A great

:34:48. > :34:56.delivery. I just knew. I could not remember. The manager said you guys

:34:57. > :35:00.believed in this phrase Hibs that was beginning to annoy you. We are

:35:01. > :35:05.such a close bond, we have said that that all season. We believed we were

:35:06. > :35:11.good enough to get out of this league. Winning the cup ends that

:35:12. > :35:15.and puts to bed people saying that. How many times have we managed to

:35:16. > :35:21.this season? Credit to the lads and everyone involved. Is this

:35:22. > :35:26.embarrassing for Scottish football this evening? Of course it is. It's

:35:27. > :35:29.a showpiece final. What has been a fantastic game of football will now

:35:30. > :35:36.be forgotten and remembered for appalling scenes at the end of this

:35:37. > :35:44.match. He is the captain, he is the hero, and his picture and the rest

:35:45. > :35:48.of the teen years guiding up the steps at Hampden Park for now be

:35:49. > :35:54.immortalised in photographs, paintings that will adorn the Easter

:35:55. > :35:59.Road walls. There is a big banner over on the far side that says, time

:36:00. > :36:11.for heroes. Well, these men in green and white are heroes. Because the

:36:12. > :36:19.voodoo to end all who dos was over. Hibernian have won the Scottish Cup!

:36:20. > :36:21.It is not a dream, it's reality. I think that perfectly sums up. It

:36:22. > :36:29.It is not a dream, it's reality. I does still seem slightly surreal.

:36:30. > :36:33.Hasn't sunk in for you? Just about. That we will be thinking about it

:36:34. > :36:35.for a long time. There are very few days in your life when will you

:36:36. > :36:41.remember that day for the rest of your life. They are not that many.

:36:42. > :36:47.The David Gray, this is one, but not just David Gray, every footballer on

:36:48. > :36:50.that field for Hibs, every fan at the game and every fan of Hibs is

:36:51. > :36:53.watching it. That is the day they will remember for the rest of their

:36:54. > :36:58.lives and that's how special football can be and our special that

:36:59. > :37:04.day was for that group of people. Just about getting to terms with it

:37:05. > :37:09.now. It was a seismic day in terms of Scottish football in terms of

:37:10. > :37:14.Hibs's achievement but embarrassing said the SFA in terms of the pitch

:37:15. > :37:19.invasion in the aftermath. Rangers players were attacked in everything

:37:20. > :37:25.else. What was your view? I will say now what I said this morning and I

:37:26. > :37:29.hope that the trainer of Ibrox is listening because he has got his

:37:30. > :37:34.wires badly crossed. None of those scenes would have happened had the

:37:35. > :37:40.Hibs fans not run onto the pitch, run down the Rangers end, run past

:37:41. > :37:44.their own and disgracefully goaded the Rangers fans who retaliated.

:37:45. > :37:51.None of those scenes would have happened if that didn't occur. The

:37:52. > :37:55.attacks on the Rangers players were scandalous, mind or tillering the

:37:56. > :38:04.disgraceful, surreal if they were not really real. Rob Petrie was so

:38:05. > :38:11.of being in his post-match comments and I'm really surprised he hasn't

:38:12. > :38:14.corrected this whole attitude of, it was over exuberance. Some fans were

:38:15. > :38:20.over exuberant, who stayed at their end in mind that they're in

:38:21. > :38:27.business. It's the ones that ran down and cause trouble but we are

:38:28. > :38:31.talking about. It was disgraceful scenes and Hibs fans started it. In

:38:32. > :38:35.terms of the achievement from Hibs, another day of celebration for the

:38:36. > :38:41.Green half of Edinburgh today would open top bus parade or the way down

:38:42. > :38:46.Easter Road. And there we have it. The word surreal springs to mind.

:38:47. > :38:55.It's brilliant. Unless you are Dan McMichael, this kind of reception,

:38:56. > :39:01.but as Pat says, these guys are history now. They are immortal. Alan

:39:02. > :39:05.Stubbs has gone down as the man whose masterminded the Scottish Cup.

:39:06. > :39:15.It seems trippy that they've done it. After everything that was thrown

:39:16. > :39:21.at them, the windups, we will have to recalibrate the word Hibs into

:39:22. > :39:27.winning. Those scenes look amazing. Did you ever think you would see

:39:28. > :39:36.those scenes? I didn't know if I would survive to see it. But there

:39:37. > :39:40.are a few things. The reasons for that was the frustration, 114 years,

:39:41. > :39:48.the pressure, tension of the whole occasion, the late goal. It was

:39:49. > :39:53.wrong. A lot of speculation about the future of Alan Stubbs. By the

:39:54. > :40:01.sounds of things, he is staying. I am planning for next season. We have

:40:02. > :40:06.already identified some players that we would like to bring to the

:40:07. > :40:11.football club to make it stronger. We will not rest on our laurels.

:40:12. > :40:15.There are a lot of ambitious people behind-the-scenes here and it will

:40:16. > :40:19.be all systems go for that promotion next season. We want to take the

:40:20. > :40:25.play-offs out of the equation and we want to go up automatically. I think

:40:26. > :40:30.there has been a perceived wisdom that he may not be Hibs next season.

:40:31. > :40:35.Kind of sounds like he will be? Good news for Hibs. There was chat about

:40:36. > :40:41.him going to Bolton. He was stoic himself when he was asked question.

:40:42. > :40:45.It sounds like he will be. That's good news. Their prime objective

:40:46. > :40:50.this season was to get promotion but if you asked Hibs fans, would they

:40:51. > :40:56.have promotion or is Scottish Cup? What would they say? Scottish Cup.

:40:57. > :41:03.The players want to get promotion, the manager and club wanted it, but

:41:04. > :41:09.in reality, when you know history is on the line, it's the Scottish Cup.

:41:10. > :41:12.Celtic will unveil their new manager tomorrow. Brendan Rodgers will

:41:13. > :41:22.become the man in charge at Celtic Park. It is a huge coup, isn't it?

:41:23. > :41:26.How big a statement is this from Celtic? Very big. They have done

:41:27. > :41:30.very well to put this deal together. He is a stellar manager, I was

:41:31. > :41:37.hugely impressed with his work at Swansea, to get them to the

:41:38. > :41:41.Premiership for small money. Huge job he did at Swansea, did well at

:41:42. > :41:45.Liverpool, petered out in the end but is a serious manager of

:41:46. > :41:51.substance. How do you expect to get on and the Scottish football

:41:52. > :41:56.goldfish bowl? His style has always been a star that Celtic fans would

:41:57. > :42:02.love to watch. It's really pleasing on the eye. It's very attack minded.

:42:03. > :42:07.This is the Celtic way. They will love what he brings to the club. He

:42:08. > :42:17.will look at what he has gotten bin, I can work with those players. He

:42:18. > :42:22.will be paid well. I think... It almost feels like boomtime once

:42:23. > :42:28.again in Scottish football. Do you expect this appointment to have a

:42:29. > :42:31.knock-on effect? I think so. I think Rangers have to bolster that

:42:32. > :42:36.defence. It's not good enough to compete at the top three or four in

:42:37. > :42:43.the Premiership. Aberdeen will come again, they will sign players,

:42:44. > :42:48.hearts will sign players, but this has been a really good season. In

:42:49. > :42:53.the last two or three months, we have seen fantastic matches, great

:42:54. > :43:02.excitement. A shift change for Scottish football next season? Too

:43:03. > :43:07.early to say. It will take time for Rangers to come back but you look at

:43:08. > :43:12.what Warburton has done so far and if he gets the money, I have no

:43:13. > :43:19.doubt over a short period of time they will get closer but that is not

:43:20. > :43:23.to ignore, as Tom says, I suspect Aberdeen will go up. I'm looking

:43:24. > :43:27.forward to it. Me too. Thank you very much indeed. It has been a

:43:28. > :43:33.great weekend and a great season. Next season may be even better. Well

:43:34. > :43:34.done to Kilmarnock for their efforts today. Until next time, from all of

:43:35. > :44:11.us, good night. # Control... # When I said, "Stop

:44:12. > :44:13.running away from your problems" I didn't mean

:44:14. > :44:16."Run full speed towards them"!
