:00:21. > :00:28.The Scottish cup has been good to both hearts and Celtic in recent

:00:29. > :00:36.seasons. They have lifted the trophy nine times in the last 15 years

:00:37. > :00:43.between them. Celtic have won on six occasions in that spell. Neil Lennon

:00:44. > :00:50.was captain in 2007 and Gary Locke got his hands on the trophy in 1998.

:00:51. > :00:56.The teams are at opposite ends of the Premiership table with Hearts

:00:57. > :01:00.desperate for an end to their financial troubles. But Celtic are

:01:01. > :01:04.only too aware of the challenge that Hearts can present, with recent

:01:05. > :01:09.memories of being knocked out at Hampden Park. Hearts went on to win

:01:10. > :01:16.the cup two seasons ago with an emphatic victory over their biggest

:01:17. > :01:21.rivals. But Celtic are the holders, as they look to replicate last

:01:22. > :01:27.season's league and cup double. Party time for Celtic!

:01:28. > :01:32.Young Hearts are already looking forward to a League Cup semifinal.

:01:33. > :01:36.Premiership survival has to be their number one aim, but they have the

:01:37. > :01:41.chance to set off on a Scottish cup run as well, but the degree of

:01:42. > :01:45.difficulty could not be much greater today. Celtic don't just plan to win

:01:46. > :01:52.this one. They want another helping of Hampden Park glory. They want to

:01:53. > :01:55.hold on to this Scottish Cup. 11 teams through to the fifth round of

:01:56. > :02:04.the competition, including Aberdeen. 1-0 winners at Partick

:02:05. > :02:10.Thistle. Cons are dying got the only goal of that game. We will give you

:02:11. > :02:13.more details of that match and then our main attention turns to

:02:14. > :02:17.Tynecastle with live coverage of Hearts against Celtic in the company

:02:18. > :02:21.of former Hearts midfielder Michael Stewart and former Celtic striker

:02:22. > :02:29.Mark McGhee. Let's give you the team news. And it is a Hearts side

:02:30. > :02:35.showing one change from the team which drew here with Ross County

:02:36. > :02:39.last Saturday. David Smith is starting on the right side and he

:02:40. > :02:47.replaces Callum Tapping for Gary Locke. Four changes to the team

:02:48. > :02:55.which lost in the Champions League at home to Milan midweek. Scott

:02:56. > :03:07.Brown, Anthony Stokes and Joe Ledley returning to the team with Nir Biton

:03:08. > :03:10.starting as well. Georgios Samaras is on the bench. Big game for

:03:11. > :03:15.Hearts, but the big issue, the much bigger issue for our supporters, is

:03:16. > :03:21.the safeguarding of the future of the club. How confident are you that

:03:22. > :03:26.that is close to being settled? Obviously the proceedings on Friday

:03:27. > :03:30.have gone in favour of Hearts. It is a step forward. It is a difficult

:03:31. > :03:35.situation that the club finds themselves in. It is still very much

:03:36. > :03:39.an unsure future, but what happened on Friday has taken the club one

:03:40. > :03:43.step further to trying to secure the future. I am pretty confident that

:03:44. > :03:49.it will not go down the liquidation route. There will be a resolution

:03:50. > :03:56.and the Foundation of Hearts will take control of the club. A big game

:03:57. > :04:01.facing Hearts today. What does Celtic's European exit mean for this

:04:02. > :04:05.game? It was interesting to hear Neil Lennon talking about moving on

:04:06. > :04:10.from that, regardless of how the pundits might see it. Any criticism

:04:11. > :04:15.they may have had regarding their run in Europe and their failure to

:04:16. > :04:18.qualify, they feel as if they have done fantastically well to be there

:04:19. > :04:23.through a very difficult set of qualifying games. And they are just

:04:24. > :04:26.going to move on from that. I expect Celtic to be back at full pelt and I

:04:27. > :04:31.don't expect them to lose any ground. It will be a really

:04:32. > :04:34.difficult game for Hearts. The Scottish Premiership table

:04:35. > :04:42.underlines the scale of the challenge facing Hearts today. Minus

:04:43. > :04:47.three for them plus 33 for Celtic. On paper, the home team have no

:04:48. > :04:51.chance here. Of course. It is well documented, the situation that

:04:52. > :04:57.Hearts find themselves in. It is not a pretty one. But regardless of what

:04:58. > :05:00.the table says, anybody that has played the game will tell you that

:05:01. > :05:05.when it comes to cup competitions, it is just what happens on the day.

:05:06. > :05:09.At Tynecastle, the games that I have seen for Hearts this season,

:05:10. > :05:13.especially at home, they have never been overrun too much. They always

:05:14. > :05:18.manage to make themselves fairly in touch. The game today against the

:05:19. > :05:23.champions, Celtic, will be as big a test as they have had this year. I

:05:24. > :05:31.do think that Celtic are going to be the strong favourites, but it will

:05:32. > :05:35.not be a trouncing, identity. Let's get the full story of what happened

:05:36. > :05:41.earlier with Partick Thistle and Aberdeen. A fifth minute headed goal

:05:42. > :05:54.from Andrew Consett iron was enough to get this cup tie. -- Considine.

:05:55. > :05:58.Fox turned away a volley and a deflected Ryan Jack shot was stopped

:05:59. > :06:02.as well. Partick Thistle were better in the second half but they could

:06:03. > :06:10.not get past a solid Aberdeen defence to get an equaliser. The

:06:11. > :06:19.goal hero Considine showed his defensive qualities blocking a late

:06:20. > :06:22.effort from Isaac Osbourne. When Aberdeen have beaten Partick Thistle

:06:23. > :06:29.previously in the cup, they have gone on to win. Will this happen

:06:30. > :06:34.this year? The highlights of that match on Sportscene tonight along

:06:35. > :06:38.with the highlights of this one and all the goals from yesterday's

:06:39. > :06:48.matches and Friday night in the William Hill Scottish Cup. An

:06:49. > :06:54.interesting Celtic team selection because Charlie Mulgrew is so strong

:06:55. > :07:05.for his club and for his country. But the combination of Joe Ledley

:07:06. > :07:10.and his partner could squeeze them out. I think this is the strongest

:07:11. > :07:17.pairing in the Premiership and for the national team at the moment. How

:07:18. > :07:23.is he doing as a player? He has found a new level of maturity as a

:07:24. > :07:27.guy. He has grown up. We see him taking responsibility. Even this

:07:28. > :07:31.season, as the season progresses, and we are not even at Christmas

:07:32. > :07:36.yet, we have seen an improvement and he is now a proper player, enjoying

:07:37. > :07:43.playing in midfield, and a great player for Scotland. So influential

:07:44. > :07:46.for Celtic. They are great with each other and they have done so well

:07:47. > :07:52.with Celtic. The natural progression is to the national team, which has

:07:53. > :07:55.been a revelation. Let's look at a couple of key players for Hearts

:07:56. > :08:01.today. Obviously it is really important how they defend. They have

:08:02. > :08:04.to get that part of it right. So much responsibility for Danny

:08:05. > :08:09.Wilson. Has his game suffered because he is having to look after

:08:10. > :08:14.younger players round about him? Possibly. It is always more

:08:15. > :08:19.difficult when you drop down. It is easier to play with better players.

:08:20. > :08:25.Danny Wilson is only a youngster, only 21, I think. Identity is a

:08:26. > :08:32.natural leader. Talking about his character, he is not a natural

:08:33. > :08:37.leader, but Ryan Stevenson is more energetic and in people's faces.

:08:38. > :08:44.Possibly that is what Hearts need. Somebody to grab the game by the

:08:45. > :08:49.scruff of the collar. And when it. I think maybe Danny Wilson's game has

:08:50. > :08:58.suffered but Ryan Stevenson is very important for Hearts. Gary, it has

:08:59. > :09:03.been a massive week for this club off the field. Is there a new-found

:09:04. > :09:08.optimism after that CV was agreed in principle? Yes, I think it gave

:09:09. > :09:15.everyone a huge boost. We have still got a long way to go, but it was

:09:16. > :09:20.great to get a bit of good news for a change. Let's talk on the pitch. A

:09:21. > :09:24.massive game today. Yes, a fantastic game for everyone. Although they are

:09:25. > :09:29.young side, what an occasion to play against the champions, the cup

:09:30. > :09:32.holders, at Tynecastle. They will go out and enjoy the occasion and

:09:33. > :09:37.express themselves and if they do that, hopefully we will get the

:09:38. > :09:41.right result. Pressure off? For me the pressure is on Celtic because

:09:42. > :09:46.everyone expects them to win. The boys can go out and enjoy it and if

:09:47. > :09:50.we are disciplined and play well, then we have players that can cause

:09:51. > :09:55.them problems. Thank you. Have you had a job lifting your squad after

:09:56. > :09:59.the disappointment of Tuesday? Not really. I don't think they have

:10:00. > :10:02.anything to be down about. They competed at the highest level and

:10:03. > :10:07.that is where I want them to compete. We picked up where we left

:10:08. > :10:11.off domestically. It is a competition we are defending and

:10:12. > :10:19.wants to play as strong as we can today. A win against Hearts in the

:10:20. > :10:22.Scottish Cup would provide the perfect tonic anyway. Yes, it is a

:10:23. > :10:25.big ask to qualify in a group as tough as that in the Champions

:10:26. > :10:28.League. We played a play in large parts of it, and that is a positive,

:10:29. > :10:32.and we want to get out there as quick as we can next year and sample

:10:33. > :10:36.it all again. Yes, it is a competition we would dearly love to

:10:37. > :10:40.win. A difficult time away from home but the players will be really

:10:41. > :10:54.motivated. Hard to say the pressure is on Celtic. Do you agree? I don't

:10:55. > :10:57.think I have ever been involved in a game without pressure so it will

:10:58. > :10:59.make no difference to the players. The noise level is beginning to

:11:00. > :11:05.rise. A great venue for any football match. Lots of memories? Yes, Celtic

:11:06. > :11:09.scored a few times here. Always a great place to come and play and a

:11:10. > :11:12.place that you knew you could be beaten, no doubt about it. You

:11:13. > :11:15.always had to be on your game because you were in for a tough

:11:16. > :11:20.match. The fans are fantastic, sticking by the club the way they

:11:21. > :11:37.have. They generate a terrific atmosphere. It is one of the games

:11:38. > :11:40.that they enjoy, Celtic coming here. It has the makings of a great game.

:11:41. > :11:43.Michael, realistic hopes of a cup upset? As I said earlier, as a cup

:11:44. > :11:45.match, there is always an opportunity. A difficult game for

:11:46. > :11:49.Hearts to get anything from, but there is always the opportunity of

:11:50. > :11:53.getting something. We spoke about the Celtic team selection and there

:11:54. > :11:57.is only one change for Hearts. There are not many changes from Gary Locke

:11:58. > :12:01.because there is not much you can do. It is a thankless task at times.

:12:02. > :12:06.If guys have dropped in form a little bit, he has got no one to

:12:07. > :12:10.come in and injuries as well. Things that naturally happen through the

:12:11. > :12:19.course of the season. Very little to Mitch and Max the team -- very

:12:20. > :12:27.little to mix and match the team. We are all set for an intriguing

:12:28. > :12:31.Scottish Cup tie. The chance to reach the last 16 with coverage

:12:32. > :12:38.coming up from Billy Dodds and our commentator Liam McLeod.

:12:39. > :12:41.The last two winners of the famous trophy going head to head at

:12:42. > :12:47.Tynecastle in the standout tie of this year's fourth round. Heart of

:12:48. > :12:51.Midlothian have bigger battles to fight off the pitch. That will

:12:52. > :12:56.mentally boost that led to stay in the top flight and provide them with

:12:57. > :13:00.a financial return. The problem is they are up against a Celtic side

:13:01. > :13:03.hurting from the midweek European exit. Since their defeat at the

:13:04. > :13:07.hands of Hearts in the semifinals the season before last, they have

:13:08. > :13:19.cantered to victory each time they have come here. Scoring 11 in just

:13:20. > :13:23.three games. The defeat by AC Milan will have also sparked determination

:13:24. > :13:25.from their manager. The least they can do now is retain their league

:13:26. > :13:40.and Scottish Cup double. We are into December, the fourth

:13:41. > :13:44.round of the Scottish Cup, the last of the fourth round ties to be

:13:45. > :13:51.played this weekend. Still something to be sorted out at a later date.

:13:52. > :13:52.Aberdeen getting their place in tomorrow's draw by leading Partick

:13:53. > :14:08.Thistle in the early kick-off today. The players could not ask for better

:14:09. > :14:12.conditions for the game. The pitch looking good and the skies above

:14:13. > :14:19.blue. Floodlights beginning to come on as well. As with all Scottish Cup

:14:20. > :14:24.ties this weekend, there will be a minute's silence observed as a mark

:14:25. > :14:28.of respect for those who lost their lives and those in injured

:14:29. > :14:30.conditions in hospital following the helicopter crash in Glasgow on

:14:31. > :15:57.Friday evening. Gary Locke has a small squad to

:15:58. > :16:01.choose from. But he has decided to start young David Smith on the

:16:02. > :16:05.right, with Ryan Stevenson supporting Callum Paterson. McDonald

:16:06. > :16:09.in goal is the only man in that line-up who started the 2012

:16:10. > :16:33.Scottish Cup final. Robinson came on as a late sub.

:16:34. > :16:40.There is no one over the age of 20 on the Hearts bench. The King

:16:41. > :16:45.brothers are on it, with Tapping left out from the start. Pukki has

:16:46. > :17:05.two goals for the club, one of those came on his debut here.

:17:06. > :17:11.Positive news on Friday emanating from here. The company voluntary

:17:12. > :17:14.agreement was conditionally agreed for Hearts. There is still work to

:17:15. > :17:22.be done on that front, with a meeting in Lithuania at the end of

:17:23. > :17:26.January. Heart of Midlothian could have been closed during that meeting

:17:27. > :17:33.on Friday. It's a massive, major step in the right direction. This is

:17:34. > :17:40.normally a keenly fought contest, is it not, Billy Dodds? Absolutely.

:17:41. > :17:46.It's going to be really tough. After the result yesterday in this

:17:47. > :17:49.wonderful competition, Rovers knocked out, you wouldn't put

:17:50. > :18:03.anything against Hearts to do something.

:18:04. > :18:09.Celtic really do need to bounce back. Going out of the Scottish Cup

:18:10. > :18:13.is unthinkable to their supporters, after their continental adventure

:18:14. > :18:17.came to an abrupt end on Wednesday. The pre-0 defeat at home to a C

:18:18. > :18:24.Milan. A one horse title race will not

:18:25. > :19:16.suffice for them between now and May.

:19:17. > :19:22.Commons gives them it. Wonderful goal from Celtic. Kris Commons had

:19:23. > :19:25.the pleasure of finishing it off, but Hearts have been ripped open in

:19:26. > :19:29.the opening few minutes at Tynecastle, as Celtic take a big

:19:30. > :19:35.step towards the fifth round already. That was the start that

:19:36. > :19:39.Hearts dreaded. Absolutely brilliant play from Kris Commons and Joe

:19:40. > :19:44.Ledley. Hearts not in a bad position there.

:19:45. > :20:28.You get that start, you can see Neil Lennon absolutely loving it right

:20:29. > :20:34.away. There's a bit of pressure on this game after the result midweek.

:20:35. > :20:35.You can't get a better start than that. He realises that with that

:20:36. > :21:27.celebration. It was too hyper Stokes, Lustig was

:21:28. > :21:32.there. Brown involved in that move, the Celtic captain back in the

:21:33. > :21:33.team. He has now served his suspension in Europe, missed three

:21:34. > :21:57.Champions League matches. A clash of heads between Stevenson

:21:58. > :21:59.and van Dijk. How do Hearts react to this? Just stay in the game. Make

:22:00. > :22:06.sure they don't lose the next goal. It's a hard one for Hearts to take.

:22:07. > :22:34.Young squared, in squad. Make sure they don't lose that

:22:35. > :22:38.second goal. Stevenson has been in good form for Hearts this season.

:22:39. > :22:49.Kris Commons has been good, by and large, for Celtic.

:22:50. > :23:00.Wilson have got to try and cover that cross but the shot is already

:23:01. > :23:05.away by then. The last time they met in this competition was the

:23:06. > :23:25.semifinals in 2012. Craig Beattie with a last-minute penalty.

:23:26. > :23:44.It is top of the SPL Premiership against bottom.

:23:45. > :23:50.Hearts pressure -- thing a high line. You've got to be careful what

:23:51. > :24:36.line you hope. He's won the free kick. This is a

:24:37. > :24:42.kind of situation that Hearts need to take advantage of. It's really

:24:43. > :24:49.good for Walker. Once the ball was Biton, he comes in from Charlie

:24:50. > :24:54.Mulgrew. The arm comes out, pulling him back. Too much contact. Really

:24:55. > :25:15.good play, good response from Hearts. Ideal opportunity.

:25:16. > :25:23.It wasn't great, but it's still in there. Hearts fans wanted a penalty

:25:24. > :25:36.there. It almost worked out for Hearts

:25:37. > :26:00.there but the delivery wasn't great. When you put it low like that,

:26:01. > :26:07.there's no problem for him there. It's a free kick this time. Hearts

:26:08. > :26:11.had a penalty shout a couple of seconds ago. You have to use your

:26:12. > :26:19.upper body in the game. Jordan McGhee is just 17 years of

:26:20. > :27:45.age. Celtic came flying out of the

:27:46. > :28:13.traps, they scored inside three minutes to lead this cup tie.

:28:14. > :28:28.As a dear knocking the ball into the middle. -- Izaguirre. Hearts just

:28:29. > :28:32.trying to stay in this game. Joe Ledley, had he found Brown, that

:28:33. > :28:38.might have been a free shot on goal for the Celtic captain. It was

:28:39. > :28:41.brilliant from McGowan, the first header. Stokes was in behind him for

:28:42. > :29:11.a tackle. Turned over by Biton. You can see

:29:12. > :29:12.David Smith just switches off, facing the ball. That allows Biton

:29:13. > :29:43.just to get in behind him. I think Hearts are struggling to get

:29:44. > :29:47.this Celtic system. They may have to allow Hammill to drop onto Kris

:29:48. > :29:52.Commons. Get Stevenson on Charlie Mulgrew.

:29:53. > :30:07.This will be the third time Hearts have had an opportunity to get the

:30:08. > :30:09.ball in. They haven't taken full advantage of the free kick chances

:30:10. > :30:19.they've had already. David Smith, who played against

:30:20. > :30:44.Celtic for Raith Rovers on loan last season, takes the corner.

:30:45. > :30:56.The ball looped up the left channel. There you go. Just that half hourly

:30:57. > :31:02.yard -- half a yard, we are talking about. Celtic played the same four

:31:03. > :31:14.along the six yard box. And we saw this excess AC Milan had in that

:31:15. > :31:16.area. They could not handle it. The two goals from AC Milan came from

:31:17. > :31:26.corners. It looked like Dylan McGowan was

:31:27. > :32:23.going to try and divert the target. The second goal they got was headed

:32:24. > :32:29.right across and they stuck to the back post but nobody reacted from

:32:30. > :33:02.Hearts. The first header was far too easy again for Celtic.

:33:03. > :33:12.Danny Wilson, the Hearts captain this season. He won the Scottish Cup

:33:13. > :33:18.with Rangers. He is the captain but it is sometimes easy to forget that

:33:19. > :33:33.he is only 21. He has done a lot in his young career so far. Rangers,

:33:34. > :33:42.Liverpool alone, then back up here. We know what Ryan Stevenson can do.

:33:43. > :33:55.Celtic won here earlier this season 3-1. Hearts seem to be holding their

:33:56. > :34:04.own. Just seven minutes after they equalised in that game, Anthony

:34:05. > :34:08.Stokes got a late one. He is flagged again. The good thing for Hearts,

:34:09. > :34:21.from their point of view, despite losing the early goal, they have not

:34:22. > :34:40.looked to Rocky. They -- have not looked to Rocky.

:34:41. > :34:54.Jamie Hamill has had a couple of goals this season in the cup.

:34:55. > :34:56.Forster made his England debut in the international friendly

:34:57. > :35:03.double-header, in the game against Chile. England lost that one 2-0,

:35:04. > :35:15.with Sanchez getting both. The referee allowing the advantage

:35:16. > :35:49.for Celtic here. Celtic undefeated in the league this

:35:50. > :36:12.season. One tie is the only time they have dropped points.

:36:13. > :36:18.Virgil van Dijk looked the most impressive of the summer signings

:36:19. > :36:26.brought in by Neil Lennon. He has been a good replacement for Wilson.

:36:27. > :36:33.Big shoes to fill, but bigger issues were Victor and Gary Hooper.

:36:34. > :36:42.Neil Lennon trying to find the right mix up front has had to rotate his

:36:43. > :36:46.front man week by week every month. Trying to find the players that will

:36:47. > :36:53.bring them the kind of goals that Gary Hooper brought them and Anthony

:36:54. > :37:06.Stokes has brought them in the past. Celtic free kick. They have taken it

:37:07. > :37:10.quickly. Kris Commons makes it two! Celtic take out their insurance

:37:11. > :37:18.policy in the capital and it is Kris Commons with a double. It is Hearts

:37:19. > :37:30.zero, Celtic two, so is the game over already? You would think so.

:37:31. > :37:37.You can see Kris Commons to the right. The others switch off. Kris

:37:38. > :37:44.Commons puts it in, but when he gets there, he is showing a ready left

:37:45. > :37:50.foot. That was for the first goal. Right foot for that one. Hearts just

:37:51. > :38:00.switch off. Kris Commons into double figures this season. Hearts are

:38:01. > :38:10.breaking at Tynecastle. All in the opening quarter of this fourth-round

:38:11. > :38:17.tie of the Scottish Cup. And a card for Charlie Mulgrew as well. Hearts

:38:18. > :38:44.get the free kick. It is a long way back now for Hearts.

:38:45. > :38:49.Doesn't matter that inexperience. You must communicate. There is no

:38:50. > :38:57.talking. No communication. No awareness. They could have been

:38:58. > :39:01.telling each other it was on the right shoulder. One quick pass and a

:39:02. > :39:19.seven yard run and he sticks it away.

:39:20. > :39:29.The boys will pick the bones out of it. But you cannot work it away from

:39:30. > :39:39.Celtic. Plenty to talk about if you are Hearts supporter.

:39:40. > :39:45.Defensive mistakes has been a problem for them this season. They

:39:46. > :39:50.are very young squad and they have bigger issues to contend with just

:39:51. > :39:58.now, but the goals they have lost in the league games this season have

:39:59. > :40:06.come from switching off. That inconsistency with young lads. A few

:40:07. > :40:16.great performances this season and then they switch off. That is what

:40:17. > :40:26.has happened in this game. Closing the gap to 12 points, is it? Yes, 12

:40:27. > :40:30.now. The minus 15 points that they started with as a result of going

:40:31. > :40:38.into administration. They have got back up to minus three.

:40:39. > :40:46.They simply cannot concede another one. Hearts need the next goal. Good

:40:47. > :40:58.run from Stephenson to his right and he did not spot it. He just does not

:40:59. > :41:05.get ahead. That upper body strength we were talking about. Paterson is

:41:06. > :41:06.on the right-hand side and one good password have them through

:41:07. > :41:19.one-on-one. Seven defeats and a draw is all they

:41:20. > :41:20.had to show for their efforts between Aberdeen matches in November

:41:21. > :41:49.and August. Ryan Stevenson did not catch that

:41:50. > :41:53.one but he had no other options. Good run. Nobody in front and he

:41:54. > :42:48.have to take on the shot. Very difficult at the moment to see

:42:49. > :43:14.how Hearts can get back into this. Comments went for the chip and it

:43:15. > :43:22.would have been some way to get a hat-trick. -- Kris Commons. Thee is

:43:23. > :43:28.not the quickest, but once he gets the ball back, you can see the

:43:29. > :43:35.awareness of where McDonald is. Decent save. Brilliant from Kris

:43:36. > :43:52.Commons. Hearts are getting a chasing now.

:43:53. > :44:04.Hibernian are already through. Dundee United, Caledonian Thistle,

:44:05. > :44:08.St Johnstone and Aberdeen as well, who defeated Partick Thistle earlier

:44:09. > :44:17.in the day to get through. Eight teams, four replays, including Queen

:44:18. > :44:24.of the South, St Mirren. Dundee United, Jamie McNamara and assistant

:44:25. > :44:30.manager and coach Darren Jackson, two former Celtic players of course.

:44:31. > :44:36.Wonderful form that they are in just now. 5-2 victory against Kilmarnock.

:44:37. > :44:46.I enjoyed it. They must be having a day off today. Two quick goals just

:44:47. > :45:45.after the break. Never write them off. They keep going at you.

:45:46. > :45:50.They are just weaving tapestries outside the Hearts penalty area,

:45:51. > :46:00.trying to get that defends open again. They are shifting the Hearts

:46:01. > :46:04.formation about so well. Commons coming off, Ben Stokes. Brown will

:46:05. > :46:08.step in there. That's what I'm talking about, they have to

:46:09. > :46:09.communicate. It's pretty difficult when Celtic are shifting about the

:46:10. > :46:26.way they are. Paterson was strong against van

:46:27. > :46:30.Dijk, he was unfortunate there. Van Dijk scored a couple in the recent

:46:31. > :47:18.victory in Dingwall against Ross County. His first two for the club.

:47:19. > :47:44.Celtic could do with a winter break, they are not getting one this year.

:47:45. > :48:03.That was great play by Jamie Walker, driving it back. Ambrose is there.

:48:04. > :48:34.Hearts need something to grasp onto. Better from Walker. He's been a

:48:35. > :49:21.bright spark so far in terms of getting forward, couple of runs.

:49:22. > :49:29.Good first touch from Anthony Stokes. This is on. Celtic are

:49:30. > :49:34.surely now through to the fifth round. We are just beyond the

:49:35. > :49:41.half-hour mark at Tynecastle. It is the Celtic captain, Scott Brown. It

:49:42. > :49:50.is 3-0 to the holders. It's that every again. He's got him, and then

:49:51. > :49:53.he's not. He is onside, but that movement is killing that. Even

:49:54. > :49:59.though he is young, McGhee, he's got to do more here. Hit the shot,

:50:00. > :50:03.deflected onto the post from Joe Ledley and then it just falls to the

:50:04. > :50:06.one that Hearts fans just didn't want it to fall to, Scott Brown. It

:50:07. > :50:13.really is game over. Young McGee is getting killed down

:50:14. > :50:34.that side, isn't he? Hearts are absolutely stunned.

:50:35. > :50:38.Little wonder. It was always going to be a massive challenge for them

:50:39. > :50:42.to knock Celtic out this afternoon. You look at the time and the

:50:43. > :51:10.scoreline. You can fear for them now.

:51:11. > :51:13.The Celtic captain celebrating being back in the team after that European

:51:14. > :51:34.suspension. There were plenty Hearts supporters

:51:35. > :51:57.making for the exits there. I think the game is a bogey.

:51:58. > :52:06.A huge mental test for this young Hearts team.

:52:07. > :52:22.You do not want this to be a trouncing.

:52:23. > :52:42.He raps a foot around it, get it set. There you go.

:52:43. > :52:49.Celtic were in Amsterdam when the draw was made. The day before they

:52:50. > :52:55.played Ajax in Amsterdam and the draw was made. He is shaking his

:52:56. > :53:00.head a little bit in the media box when he was asked about the draw and

:53:01. > :53:02.his reaction. He acknowledged how difficult he thought it was going to

:53:03. > :53:23.be. The last time they met in the

:53:24. > :53:29.Scottish Cup at Tynecastle, it was pre-see that Celtic won by in

:53:30. > :53:38.February 2004. Martin O'Neill's team. Paul Hartpury and Alan Maybury

:53:39. > :53:57.were both sent off late on in that game.

:53:58. > :54:07.You feel for the Hearts young lads. It's a tough one for them. Here is

:54:08. > :54:14.this movement again from Celtic, threatening through by Ledley. They

:54:15. > :54:19.are 3-0 down, it might just be damage limitation for Gary Locke.

:54:20. > :54:27.You would think at some point they would open out a little bit. But if

:54:28. > :54:30.they open out... Celtic might just find more room. You worry about

:54:31. > :54:32.Hearts because Celtic look like they can just cut through them when they

:54:33. > :54:50.want. It doesn't get any easier for

:54:51. > :54:51.Hearts. The weekend they go to inform Dundee United in the

:54:52. > :54:57.Premiership. Celtic go to Motherwell on Friday

:54:58. > :55:27.night. A challenge across from Kevin

:55:28. > :55:35.McHattie. Last season, Kevin McHattie made

:55:36. > :56:53.that back left slot his own. We've talked about the movement from

:56:54. > :56:57.the Celtic front players and the midfield players, but you've got

:56:58. > :57:04.these two fullbacks bombing forward at will. So hard to communicate,

:57:05. > :57:15.talks, switch about, realise who is where in the park.

:57:16. > :57:22.What do you do with five minutes to half time? What do you do at

:57:23. > :57:26.half-time for Gary Locke in this situation? The only thing that will

:57:27. > :57:32.get them back is getting the next goal. To do that, you've got your

:57:33. > :57:35.work cut out. You feel that Celtic have just ripped them apart.

:57:36. > :57:39.Sometimes you just have to say damage limitation. It's a hard one

:57:40. > :57:42.for him, he's a young manager as well, he's got young players out on

:57:43. > :57:51.the pitch. They have to try and get back in the game. Try and match up,

:57:52. > :57:53.maybe even play a diamond so that the inexperienced boys out there...

:57:54. > :57:56.They know what they are doing, it's a basic job, they will see where

:57:57. > :58:31.they go. The fourth arrives. Joe Ledley, who

:58:32. > :58:35.scored in last season's final, ensures that Celtic are taking a

:58:36. > :58:37.Sunday stroll down on easy Street in this fourth-round tie. 4-0, not even

:58:38. > :58:48.half-time. Talking about those fullbacks

:58:49. > :58:53.getting forward, Lustig, what a ball that was. Just throwing yourself in

:58:54. > :58:55.there to get a tap on it. Ledley does exactly that. Brilliant again

:58:56. > :59:10.from Celtic. It was the Welshman who added the

:59:11. > :59:15.cherry to the top of the kick in the final win over hip Ernie and in May.

:59:16. > :59:23.-- Hibernian. The Celtic fans will be absolutely

:59:24. > :59:52.loving this. And that's the fifth! What a fit it

:59:53. > :00:03.was from Lustig! That is an absolute stunner!

:00:04. > :00:13.Lustig breaks forward in a central area, get in this right, cutting

:00:14. > :00:17.into the central area. He has Stokes making the run. He's not using

:00:18. > :00:27.Stokes, he's hitting it from 25 yards. It flies over MacDonald! A

:00:28. > :00:31.great strike. You fear for Hearts, you really do. Young manager, young

:00:32. > :00:35.players, all over the place will stop where can they go from here? I

:00:36. > :00:51.don't think there are many managers have to face this. Unbelievably

:00:52. > :00:58.Celtic find themselves doing high-fives before the interval. The

:00:59. > :01:06.Hearts fans have spent the last year and a half enjoying five goals when

:01:07. > :01:14.they beat Hibernian 5-1 in the final. A taste of their own medicine

:01:15. > :01:17.in this cup tie. The quality of the majority of the goals were sent it

:01:18. > :01:35.-- for Celtic have been exquisite. There was a concern for Hearts that

:01:36. > :01:37.there would be a backlash from Celtic's point of view because of

:01:38. > :01:44.what happened in the Champions League on Tuesday. The nightmare is

:01:45. > :02:01.reality here. Brown looking for Celtic's six and

:02:02. > :02:12.nearly finding it. He gets himself round the back. On a sixpence. The

:02:13. > :02:21.only man in that six yard box for Celtic. It could have been six, you

:02:22. > :02:26.are right. He doesn't look too happy that he will be ecstatic, Neil

:02:27. > :02:37.Lennon. One minute of stoppage added onto

:02:38. > :02:44.the end after that great play from Jamie Walker. Nearly consolation

:02:45. > :02:49.before the interval. A great shot saved well but he keeps his clean

:02:50. > :02:53.sheet. A great shot from Forster. Not the best of times recently. Good

:02:54. > :03:07.effort. And it is half-time and from

:03:08. > :03:11.Hearts's point of view they will be gutted it is not full-time. They

:03:12. > :03:16.want this game over and done with an Celtic looked to have done it

:03:17. > :03:25.already. Kris Commons with a double. This was the opener, with Joe Ledley

:03:26. > :03:30.finding him. The second arrived after a quick free kick that found

:03:31. > :03:34.Kris Commons, 2-0. The third came from the former Hibernian midfielder

:03:35. > :03:39.Scott Brown after Joe Ledley's efforts deflected off the post. Joe

:03:40. > :03:43.Ledley himself got on the scoresheet at 42. The ball coming in with

:03:44. > :03:48.Mikael Lustig finding the back post. They just before half-time, the pick

:03:49. > :03:53.of the bunch from Mikael Lustig, the Swedish international, and we have

:03:54. > :04:02.an unbelievable scoreline at half-time of heart of Midlothian

:04:03. > :04:06.nil, Celtic five. I think we can safely assume that the name of

:04:07. > :04:11.Celtic is in tomorrow's draw for the fifth round of the William Hill

:04:12. > :04:14.Scottish Cup. And already embarrassing scoreline could get

:04:15. > :04:20.considerably worse before we finish. Let's hear from Michael Stewart,

:04:21. > :04:29.former Hearts midfielder, and former Celtic striker Mark McGhee. What a

:04:30. > :04:35.performance from the lemon's team. -- from Neil Lennon's team. After

:04:36. > :04:39.they lost to AC Milan, they have changed the shape completely, going

:04:40. > :04:43.to a diamond, and the way they have executed it is textbook. The

:04:44. > :04:49.movement, the exchange of play and positions, as just bamboozled

:04:50. > :04:53.Hearts. You could see how they wanted to put Celtic under pressure

:04:54. > :04:57.but they could not get near them and Celtic have picked them. Celtic have

:04:58. > :05:02.been amazing. You work on most in training. They would not have even

:05:03. > :05:07.got the goals that they have got here today. They have shaped like a

:05:08. > :05:11.diamond at I did not think it would be a trouncing before the game but

:05:12. > :05:17.it well and truly has turned into one. They have picked the Hearts

:05:18. > :05:20.off. All credit to Neil Lennon and the coaching staff because Hearts

:05:21. > :05:26.have not been able to live with Celtic with that diamond in

:05:27. > :05:32.midfield. What can they do? It is very difficult. You talk about them

:05:33. > :05:35.matching up, or the Hearts fullbacks trying to engage with the Celtic

:05:36. > :05:41.fullbacks, but then you are opening up and offering gaps and holes. We

:05:42. > :05:45.have seen so far in the first half that Celtic exploited every hole

:05:46. > :05:48.that Hearts offered to them. The Hearts players will be in there,

:05:49. > :05:53.talking about it, saying someone had to pick up the right midfield

:05:54. > :06:00.player. And Hearts will be saying, who is the right midfield player?

:06:01. > :06:05.One minute Joe Ledley is over there, Mikael Lustig is over there, and the

:06:06. > :06:08.interchange is just... You cannot draw the position is that the Celtic

:06:09. > :06:13.players have played in because they have interchanged so much. It is so

:06:14. > :06:17.difficult. Then at the end of it, as individuals, they have played well.

:06:18. > :06:25.Control has been good, they have been strong on the ball, they have

:06:26. > :06:33.played well. They have played very well. Hearts in the second half,

:06:34. > :06:38.well, they have a big job on. We will talk more about this match

:06:39. > :06:42.shortly. Hearts fans might want to disappear! Let's recap what happened

:06:43. > :06:48.in the other Scottish Cup tie which was played at Firhill at 12:45pm.

:06:49. > :06:52.Andrew Considine got the only goal of the game for Aberdeen and they go

:06:53. > :06:57.through to the last 16 of the competition. You can see highlights

:06:58. > :07:04.of that one and this one as well and the best of Friday and Saturday in

:07:05. > :07:08.the Scottish Cup tonight. Games are so often about setting the tone from

:07:09. > :07:14.kick-off. Celtic could not have done it any better. They were slick,

:07:15. > :07:20.quick, and so effective. And ahead after two minutes and 21 seconds.

:07:21. > :07:23.They did not want Celtic to get an early goal because it confirms

:07:24. > :07:28.everything they have been working on. It gives them confidence, spring

:07:29. > :07:32.in their step, the platform to go on and win the game. You could see

:07:33. > :07:35.Hearts wanting to step on and get close to Celtic. Already the

:07:36. > :07:39.movement and positions that they took up with Hearts trying to work

:07:40. > :07:45.out who was playing well. Really difficult. Celtic passing the ball,

:07:46. > :07:50.making lots of passes. Everybody wanting the ball, everybody taking

:07:51. > :07:54.everybody on the move. You do not see a Hearts player getting within

:07:55. > :07:58.two yards off the ball. Getting into the final third and showing that bit

:07:59. > :08:07.of quality, it is just textbook stuff from Celtic. And the finish

:08:08. > :08:11.was fantastic. Right across the goalkeeper. And it is clipping the

:08:12. > :08:16.post. It could not have been better place. No chance for the goalkeeper.

:08:17. > :08:20.There is no pressure on the ball because of the movement and the work

:08:21. > :08:27.that Celtic are dimming. It does not allow Hearts any opportunity to get

:08:28. > :08:31.anywhere near. Going one goal behind after three minutes is bad enough.

:08:32. > :08:36.Hearts could not afford to switch off, but they did. Massive credit to

:08:37. > :08:39.Celtic for switching on at this moment when the free kick was

:08:40. > :08:46.awarded but Hearts could not afford to switch off. When they get a free

:08:47. > :08:53.kick, you have to switch on, the opposite. You can see the two Hearts

:08:54. > :08:57.players looking at where the free kick will be taken, with their backs

:08:58. > :09:02.to the player. Then he makes his run. You can't be doing that. You

:09:03. > :09:06.have to have an urgency, regrouping, calling people, facing

:09:07. > :09:11.the ball, getting Hearts players in front of the ball. The referee goes

:09:12. > :09:17.to tell him to take it quickly, they turn away and he scores. This

:09:18. > :09:22.epitomises the character that he is full Celtic, the exact opposite of

:09:23. > :09:26.everything we have spoken about from a Hearts perspective. He is switched

:09:27. > :09:31.on. He has taken the ball, take on it, walking forward. He is already

:09:32. > :09:39.looking and thinking what can I do? Straight on the ball, boom. Celtic

:09:40. > :09:43.have been so clinical today. I think the build-up to goal number three

:09:44. > :09:48.underlines the difficulties that Hearts are having in coping with the

:09:49. > :09:53.Celtic system. Yes. We spoke about it for the first goal as well. He

:09:54. > :09:57.starred in the left back position. Over to the right, there is no

:09:58. > :10:02.pressure on the ball, they have all the time in the world. You have

:10:03. > :10:08.quality players like that. Great control from Anthony Stokes. Then it

:10:09. > :10:12.lands at Scott Brown's feet. The Tynecastle crowd are devastated. But

:10:13. > :10:15.there is no pressure from Hearts on the ball because of the movement

:10:16. > :10:21.that Celtic have been making in the middle of the pitch. The movement

:10:22. > :10:26.has been fantastic. When you have got quality, you cannot be affording

:10:27. > :10:34.that time and space because you will be punished and Celtic have done

:10:35. > :10:38.that so well today. 3-0 with Scott Brown scoring there. But worse to

:10:39. > :10:41.come for Hearts. It is gratifying for a football team when what you

:10:42. > :10:52.work on on the training ground comes to fruition on match day. This may

:10:53. > :10:57.be exemplifies that, number four. Gary Parker and the staff must be

:10:58. > :11:03.looking at this. It could not have gone as well as it has. It has been

:11:04. > :11:08.off the training ground. The quality as well. This ball across, that is

:11:09. > :11:16.just inviting the ball to be put in the net. That was about my distance!

:11:17. > :11:21.Fantastic bit of play. From the foot. The previous goal when it was

:11:22. > :11:28.switched from right to left, and then the diagonal, and onto Anthony

:11:29. > :11:35.Stokes. This switch in play. Charlie Mulgrew at the centre. A fantastic

:11:36. > :11:40.cross. A lot of Celtic players have come into that, through the middle,

:11:41. > :11:43.which is attracting the Hearts players into the middle. Then the

:11:44. > :11:53.Celtic fullbacks have given them whip at the top. Emilio Izaguirre

:11:54. > :11:59.came into Mikael Lustig. They have punished them as well because Kevin

:12:00. > :12:02.McHattie was too far over. There has been no margin for error for Hearts.

:12:03. > :12:08.Every time they have made a mistake, they have been punished. In this

:12:09. > :12:14.one, Mikael Lustig drove forward and then planted one in off the

:12:15. > :12:21.crossbar. It is a ridiculous shot that gives the keeper no chance. It

:12:22. > :12:26.is borne out of confidence. The full-back does not score a lot but

:12:27. > :12:31.he has a pop because anything can happen today. The effort stuns

:12:32. > :12:37.Hearts. Four was bad enough but then five in off the crossbar is getting

:12:38. > :12:42.beyond. Very difficult. How worried is Gary Locke in the dressing room

:12:43. > :12:47.about this taking an record-breaking proportions? Very worried. There is

:12:48. > :12:50.no sign of an improvement in the first half. It is not as though in

:12:51. > :12:54.the last five minutes they seemed to be on top of the game. A very

:12:55. > :12:58.inexperienced team and we were talking about this during the first

:12:59. > :13:03.half. It is not as if it is a team of experienced guys who know what is

:13:04. > :13:08.going on. There is no one who can say, right, this is what we need to

:13:09. > :13:10.do to shore things up. An inexperienced team will get

:13:11. > :13:14.overwhelmed and does not know how to come back. Gary Locke will be

:13:15. > :13:17.anxious in the changing room to get the message over about how to stop

:13:18. > :13:25.this dominant performance from Celtic. It has not been difficult

:13:26. > :13:29.pulling together the Hearts shots on target because there were not many.

:13:30. > :13:33.This one from Paterson was never going to find its way past Fraser

:13:34. > :13:40.Forster. They have ventured over there rarely. Up until the second

:13:41. > :13:45.goal, if you edited out the first goal, Hearts were up for it. They

:13:46. > :13:50.were trying to secure whatever plan they had. Trying to get the Celtic

:13:51. > :13:55.back four under pressure. It was terrific play there. Unlucky not to

:13:56. > :13:59.end up as a goal. It will be a consolation, whatever they get. The

:14:00. > :14:04.manager has now got a difficult task. He have to change the shape or

:14:05. > :14:08.make some allowance for the shape that Celtic are playing. He also

:14:09. > :14:12.have to convince his players. Look at the Celtic team and what we are

:14:13. > :14:17.at the moment. You are a group of young guys. He have to give them

:14:18. > :14:21.something, something to feel better about, something to give it a go in

:14:22. > :14:24.the second half and have some pride. They are entitled to do that because

:14:25. > :14:30.if you look at the difference between the teams, Celtic are the

:14:31. > :14:39.Champions League team, the Champions League players are melting, --

:14:40. > :14:44.emerging. I think the manager has got to forgive them and send them

:14:45. > :14:48.out with a little bit of help, as it were, to go into the second half and

:14:49. > :14:57.give it a go. Discount the first half. It is gone. Now work on the

:14:58. > :15:00.second half performance. It is 5-0 at half-time. Let's recapture rest

:15:01. > :15:05.of the story this weekend in the fourth round of the William Hill

:15:06. > :15:09.Scottish Cup. Dundee United had a difficult time against Kilmarnock

:15:10. > :15:43.but came through in the end. Scoring for fun at the moment. 5-2 winners.

:15:44. > :15:53.Hibs, Terry Butcher's first winners manager there.

:15:54. > :16:01.We will show you some of the key moments from some of those other

:16:02. > :16:08.games a little bit later on. Its eyes down for the second half of

:16:09. > :16:14.this one at Tynecastle. Is it all about what Celtic want to do, do

:16:15. > :16:20.they want to score another five? How many times have we been in a game

:16:21. > :16:24.like this where rates five at half-time? Celtic didn't want that

:16:25. > :16:27.game to end, they will have wanted to keep playing and playing and get

:16:28. > :16:31.as many goals as they possibly could. They have to pick it up again

:16:32. > :16:36.now. It will be interesting to see if Celtic can maintain that

:16:37. > :16:40.performance. Is a damage limitation for Hearts? It's got to be. You've

:16:41. > :16:47.got to get some sort of pride out of the game. That will come from almost

:16:48. > :16:55.discarding the first half, looking at it starting 0-0. The Celtic crowd

:16:56. > :17:00.want to get the same score in the second half. There's been some sort

:17:01. > :17:04.of tactical change from the Hearts manager here. They had to do

:17:05. > :17:09.something. They couldn't have gone out and carried on the way they did

:17:10. > :17:13.in the first. Halfway through, Celtic are five goals in front. Here

:17:14. > :17:18.is the second half with Billy Dodds and Liam McLeod.

:17:19. > :17:38.Hearts, it was a 7-0 loss to hip Ernie, that match on New Year's Day

:17:39. > :17:46.in 1973, here at Tynecastle. They will be looking to salvage some

:17:47. > :17:54.kind of pride from proceedings tonight. Dusk has fallen on

:17:55. > :18:02.Edinburgh. It is van Dijk for Celtic, who go hunting a sixth goal.

:18:03. > :18:10.How does it look as though Hearts are going second half, Billy? Brad

:18:11. > :18:14.McKay has gone into the right centre half and they pushed McGowan into

:18:15. > :18:18.midfield. Trying to get a defensive midfield, protect, try and get a

:18:19. > :18:25.hold of this Celtic movement. Paterson has come to the right hand

:18:26. > :18:34.side as well. No changes for Celtic at the

:18:35. > :19:14.interval. They are onto the back four again.

:19:15. > :19:20.Lustig, just getting himself high up the pitch. It's another quality

:19:21. > :19:25.cross. Nobody on the end of that one.

:19:26. > :19:33.This is the 25th time they've been drawn together in the Scottish Cup.

:19:34. > :19:41.Including repays -- plays, it's the 30th meeting.

:19:42. > :19:51.The first meeting was in the final in 1901. Hearts won at 4-3.

:19:52. > :21:08.It was a lovely touch from Stevenson.

:21:09. > :22:17.Just make sure they don't lose this second-half, get some pride back.

:22:18. > :22:22.Gary Locke had so many injuries as a player. He was suited up for that

:22:23. > :23:15.final. He has Brown on his right shoulder

:23:16. > :23:27.but realises the cross is going to the front post area.

:23:28. > :24:07.We know how dangerous the left foot of Charlie Mulgrew is.

:24:08. > :24:33.This is as good as Celtic have zipped the ball about all season.

:24:34. > :24:40.Gary Locke will stick this on the analysis and go through what Hearts

:24:41. > :24:45.could have done. You need to teach young lads, make sure they know not

:24:46. > :24:57.to switch off. It is the only way you will learn as a youngster.

:24:58. > :25:01.Apart from three players, everyone is 22 or younger in the heart

:25:02. > :25:19.line-up. -- heart line-up. I mentioned there were a lot of

:25:20. > :25:20.Hearts fans leaving in the wake of the fourth and fifth goals. But

:25:21. > :25:41.there are plenty who have stayed. Jamie Walker is a talent. Kevin

:25:42. > :25:44.McHattie was one of the players who came in last season when they did

:25:45. > :25:50.have a bigger squad. Jamie Walker is another. The Hearts Young Player of

:25:51. > :26:21.the Year is in. -- season. McGowan, his brother, Ryan, scored

:26:22. > :26:39.in the Scottish Cup final of 2012. Dylan won't be repeating that feat

:26:40. > :26:56.this season. He has hurt himself. I don't know if

:26:57. > :27:00.he has landed awkwardly, holding the ankle. He was on his way out for the

:27:01. > :27:10.header. It was from a long way out as well.

:27:11. > :28:41.An awkward one for McHattie to defend, the way it was zipped in.

:28:42. > :28:48.You want to be positive but sometimes you learn better with a

:28:49. > :28:51.negative. Neil Lennon celebrating his 200th game in charge of Celtic

:28:52. > :28:55.this afternoon. If you think back to one of his first in this

:28:56. > :28:59.competition, when he lost to Ross County in the semifinals, it has

:29:00. > :29:03.been a turnaround. A couple of Champions League adventures as well

:29:04. > :29:07.in the midst of all that. OK, it hasn't gone as well as he would have

:29:08. > :29:13.liked it to have gone this season in that very, very challenging group.

:29:14. > :29:16.But to get there, having come through three qualifiers as well,

:29:17. > :29:20.he'll be quite happy with that when he looks back at this season, even

:29:21. > :29:57.happier if he's got two pieces of silverware to go with it again.

:29:58. > :30:04.It's a penalty kick. Celtic do have the chance for a sixth. You can bet

:30:05. > :30:11.Kris Commons will try and find this ball. He will want his hat-trick.

:30:12. > :30:15.It's just rubbing it in, isn't it? Ledley could have had the strike.

:30:16. > :30:21.Mulgrew could have taken himself, goes back to Commons. That is

:30:22. > :30:30.harsh. I can't believe he has given that. His hand is down, it's the

:30:31. > :30:36.Poor decision. -- poor decision. There should be no sympathy. That's

:30:37. > :30:44.not a penalty. He's only a yard away, kicks off him, hand down. When

:30:45. > :30:46.it's not your day it's your day. It could be Kris Commons' day. A chance

:30:47. > :31:04.for his hat-trick. Celtic looking for their sixth, and

:31:05. > :31:10.they have it. That is clinical from Collins, I didn't expect anything

:31:11. > :31:18.else on the day he is having. There was no chance of stopping that. A

:31:19. > :31:22.wonderful free kick from him, right into the bottom corner. And they got

:31:23. > :31:41.this penalty because of the handball from Danny Wilson. Individually you

:31:42. > :31:58.have got to look at that goal. It is a poor decision. Celtic making a

:31:59. > :32:04.change. What Hearts don't want to see is a midfielder being replaced

:32:05. > :32:34.by a striker. This is a chance for the substitute

:32:35. > :32:36.to get some confidence. Neil Lennon is desperate for him to get on the

:32:37. > :33:17.scoresheet. Celtic are getting plenty of

:33:18. > :33:26.opportunities so I wouldn't put it past him to score. Celtic are going

:33:27. > :33:28.into a situation where they have league fixtures coming up, but they

:33:29. > :34:06.need to be in contention to stay up. Celtic trying to keep the pressure

:34:07. > :34:38.on here. Kris Commons taking his tally to 11

:34:39. > :34:40.this afternoon. I think that sums up the way things are going for him

:34:41. > :35:41.right now, a little slip in the box. Celtic have been hungry this

:35:42. > :35:51.afternoon, they want more. Hearts, sending everyone back to defend.

:35:52. > :36:00.Ledley. Another break of the ball goes Celtic's way.

:36:01. > :36:23.That will be a goal kick. It is all or nothing from him, and Commons not

:36:24. > :36:36.happy, as you can see. He quit the national team in May, Commons. We

:36:37. > :36:42.have seen this season the Kris Commons we saw when he first arrived

:36:43. > :37:08.at Celtic. He was a star for them in the second half of that season.

:37:09. > :37:19.Still Celtic come, and Ledley to McDonald. How Hearts would love to

:37:20. > :37:30.have that man in the maroon shirt once again. He scored twice in the

:37:31. > :37:37.final against Hibs. He scored in the 2006 final as well in penalties. You

:37:38. > :37:45.think he could have made a difference today? No.

:37:46. > :38:11.Almost! That was a really good strike for him. That was a good

:38:12. > :38:27.strike for Hamill. Earlier today, Aberdeen going through against

:38:28. > :39:20.Partick Thistle, Andrew concert -- Concerdine with the goal.

:39:21. > :39:32.Kris Commons looking more like himself and Izaguirre looking more

:39:33. > :40:04.like himself at times as well. This will be the second change for

:40:05. > :40:07.Hearts, Ryan Stevenson being warmly applauded by the supporters, most of

:40:08. > :40:11.whom have stayed to watch this horror movie that is playing out in

:40:12. > :41:10.front of them on their home patch. Good play from Celtic again, they

:41:11. > :41:18.have been passing the ball well all day. Ledley involved there. He is

:41:19. > :41:22.still to sign the contract that is on the table with Celtic if he wants

:41:23. > :42:03.it. Will he stay or will he go? It just gets over his head, a let

:42:04. > :42:09.off for Hearts. Celtic looking for cup number 37 this season, nobody

:42:10. > :42:19.has won it more. Used a little touch, a little Bohm,

:42:20. > :42:43.coming together. It is a free kick. What can Hearts make of this? Trying

:42:44. > :42:54.to put some kind of respect on the scoreline.

:42:55. > :43:10.Here is Stokes. Four team-mates with their arms stretched, asking, "where

:43:11. > :43:40.is the past? " -- pass. Fisher will be on for Celtic in a

:43:41. > :43:58.moment. Celtic will wait until this corner kick is defended. Jamie

:43:59. > :44:02.Walker giving Celtic of physical advantage in the penalty area.

:44:03. > :44:14.Trying to keep this alive, the hosts.

:44:15. > :44:35.Fair play to Hearts, they have continued to fight for the cause.

:44:36. > :44:57.Hearts, claiming an arm. It is going to be a Celtic goal kick. Nothing

:44:58. > :45:11.there. Nothing doing. Here is the change, it is like for like. Lustig

:45:12. > :46:44.off, Fisher on. That was a great save by MacDonald.

:46:45. > :46:54.Still alive, though. Brown! That's seven! Hearts are heading for a

:46:55. > :46:57.record defeat. Scott Brown leather is home Celtic's seventh. It is

:46:58. > :47:13.seventh heaven for the holders! It was McKay's legs, Brown just had

:47:14. > :47:17.to strike. Takes a deflection, MacDonald had gone the wrong way.

:47:18. > :47:22.He's going for it. Celtic have been brilliant.

:47:23. > :47:59.It's been a horrible afternoon for Hearts. We keep going back to it,

:48:00. > :48:02.they have got a bigger fight on their hands. They will know more

:48:03. > :48:10.about the future of the club come January. Boerrigter, about to come

:48:11. > :48:30.on for Celtic. The foundation of Hearts, they can't

:48:31. > :48:41.-- third bidder, will hopefully take control of the club then.

:48:42. > :48:47.It doesn't matter how many Celtic put past them today, that is

:48:48. > :49:01.obviously more important to them long term. But this will hurt.

:49:02. > :49:31.Boerrigter comes on to replace Kris Commons. Listen to the ovation this

:49:32. > :49:38.man is about to receive. Quite rightly so. His finishes are

:49:39. > :49:41.excellent. The first two, one left foot, right in the corner, and then

:49:42. > :49:45.a right foot finish as well, and then gets a hat-trick with a

:49:46. > :50:34.penalty. It's a great day for Kris Commons.

:50:35. > :50:37.May be as good a performance he has seen domestically away from home

:50:38. > :51:36.since he took the reins. Final change for Hearts. They are

:51:37. > :51:37.going to bring an Adam King. He has been in and around the first team

:51:38. > :51:46.for a wee while now. He is replacing Jamie Hamill. Not a

:51:47. > :51:54.good day for Jamie Hamill and cold. It's a debut for Adam King. Not

:51:55. > :52:21.ideal. As easy game Celtic have had here at

:52:22. > :52:27.Tynecastle, it means so titanic tussles between these two clubs at

:52:28. > :52:34.Tynecastle in particular over the years. This never threatened to be

:52:35. > :52:48.one of them. Anthony Stokes has still not scored today.

:52:49. > :53:37.The 2012 winners have been well beaten by the 2013 winners.

:53:38. > :54:13.Hearts don't want to be the team that goes into the record books 8-0

:54:14. > :55:48.defeat. We know that van Dijk has been

:55:49. > :56:38.watched by the Dutch national side scouts.

:56:39. > :56:44.The one thing you have to say is that Hearts, their players, they've

:56:45. > :56:52.kept trying. It's not like they've thrown in the towel. Can they take

:56:53. > :56:56.anything from the second half? That is professionalism, that pride we

:56:57. > :57:05.were talking about. Call it what you like.

:57:06. > :57:29.The midfielders have come to the fore for Celtic today.

:57:30. > :57:54.Already through to tomorrow's drawer, Hibs, Alloa, Albion Rovers,

:57:55. > :57:56.Raith Rovers, Inverness, St Johnstone and Aberdeen. Celtic about

:57:57. > :58:20.to join them. Celtic corner. That deflection

:58:21. > :58:45.nearly got him that hat-trick. Celtic have been insatiable,

:58:46. > :59:21.rampant. They just want to go home now,

:59:22. > :59:25.Hertfordshire. You tend to forget these lads, especially with the

:59:26. > :59:27.17-year-old, it's a lovely run from him, good ball by Carrick, delivers

:59:28. > :59:39.a wonderful cross. When you think back to the size of

:59:40. > :59:43.the Hearts squad from a few years back, their years under Vladimir

:59:44. > :59:48.Romanov, at the different nationalities that were here as

:59:49. > :59:52.well. When you look at the back of today's match day programme and you

:59:53. > :59:54.looked at the players, all but one are Scottish. Dylan McGowan is the

:59:55. > :00:01.exception, the Australian. With the wages being thrown about

:00:02. > :00:20.them as well. What a task Gary Locke has had this

:00:21. > :00:39.year. MacDonald has missed that time. Swept away by McGee.

:00:40. > :01:26.Izaguirre. Is it going to get worse for Hearts?

:01:27. > :01:49.Celtic fans would happily watch this all night. Still stringing the

:01:50. > :02:18.passes together. I heard a whistle, he doesn't agree with the decision.

:02:19. > :02:35.It is a Hearts free kick. Well into the 90th minute. We are about to

:02:36. > :02:42.find out how much longer Gary Locke will have to suffer. They will have

:02:43. > :02:52.two grams up their players when they go into training next.

:02:53. > :03:02.One minute being added on to the end. A bit of sympathy from the

:03:03. > :03:09.match officials, you feel. But they had to prioritise, Gary Locke will

:03:10. > :03:14.tell them to try and forget about it. He will show them a few things

:03:15. > :03:20.that can make them better players but they have a few games coming up

:03:21. > :03:26.over the festive period so they have a few games that can put them back

:03:27. > :03:32.into that relegation battle and close the deficit. Sadly, one of

:03:33. > :03:40.those games is against Celtic in Glasgow. Well into the final minute

:03:41. > :03:46.now. There is the final whistle, that

:03:47. > :03:56.torture is over for Hearts. Celtic celebrate a magnificent victory, and

:03:57. > :04:10.Neil Lennon's 200th game in charge of the club.

:04:11. > :04:26.It was 5-0 before the interval! A wonderful performance from Celtic,

:04:27. > :04:33.but this equals the worst ever result for Hearts, they lost 7-0

:04:34. > :04:40.against him Bernie and in January 1973. Now they have lost 7-0 in the

:04:41. > :04:46.fourth round of the William Hill Scottish cup. Scott Brown goes up

:04:47. > :05:00.the tunnel, two goals himself today. He has his eye, double

:05:01. > :05:10.himself. -- his eye on the double. Conclusive, emphatic... You can come

:05:11. > :05:15.up with your own objective to describe that crushing defeat for

:05:16. > :05:22.Hearts. Celtic through to the fifth round of the William Hill Scottish

:05:23. > :05:28.cup. How good, Mark McGhee, were Celtic? I thought they were

:05:29. > :05:34.brilliant. Their movement, if you could have watched it from above the

:05:35. > :05:38.pitch you would have seen a variety of movement, interchange of play,

:05:39. > :05:50.quality of passing, good decisions and fantastic finishing. The Hearts

:05:51. > :05:56.team were exposed. Maybe it could have been three, four, five, not

:05:57. > :06:16.seven, but they have to put this aside. Kris Commons is pitch side.

:06:17. > :06:22.It is good to get confidence from this, and now onwards and upwards.

:06:23. > :06:28.There was always that feeling that you could slip up. Know, every time

:06:29. > :06:33.we are playing we are expected to win and when we put our minds to it

:06:34. > :06:40.we are match for anyone inside Europe. Is that as good as you have

:06:41. > :06:44.played in a Celtic jersey? I think the whole team performance in the

:06:45. > :06:52.first half was outstanding and it is the players around me that make me

:06:53. > :06:57.the player I am. Without Charlie and the other players I am useless but I

:06:58. > :07:06.am blessed with a group of good players around me. You have your

:07:07. > :07:10.shooting boots on today. Yes, it is the hardest one that I have ever

:07:11. > :07:16.scored, the tap in, and the deflection for the second one, but I

:07:17. > :07:22.will take them all. How difficult was it to bounce back from the

:07:23. > :07:27.disappointment of Tuesday? We had faith in ourselves, and the tempo we

:07:28. > :07:32.set was incredible. Is there a feeling within the squad but when it

:07:33. > :07:44.clicks for this side, it really clicks? Yes, I think it is the same

:07:45. > :07:46.for every side. The lads are on fire and hopefully it will continue.

:07:47. > :07:50.Obviously there is no one you would fear in the draw, is there anyone

:07:51. > :07:58.you would like? We will see what happens. The most important thing is

:07:59. > :08:06.that we try to retain this cup. Thank you, well done.

:08:07. > :08:09.Five goals between them, seven in total for Celtic. How do you

:08:10. > :08:17.describe that from a Hearts viewpoint? Extremely disappointing.

:08:18. > :08:24.In the grand scheme of things, it is a result that was possible because

:08:25. > :08:30.there is a huge gulf in class and experience of the two teams. Celtic

:08:31. > :08:35.were on top form today and Hearts were way below par but goals change

:08:36. > :08:42.games, and we saw the first goal after two minutes and 20 seconds

:08:43. > :08:45.which really set the tone and emphasised the difference in the

:08:46. > :08:54.teams, in what went on to be a theme through the day. A great interchange

:08:55. > :08:59.in the movement from Celtic and Hearts hardly got anywhere near the

:09:00. > :09:06.ball. There were five goals in the first half. Yes, they were blown

:09:07. > :09:11.away. I think they would have prepared well for this game, they

:09:12. > :09:15.would have been talking about Celtic and their shape, and then I think

:09:16. > :09:19.their shape would have been a surprise to them. Before they had

:09:20. > :09:24.chance to get to grips with their shape, they found themselves two

:09:25. > :09:31.goals down and it is difficult to make the change while it is

:09:32. > :09:37.happening. This is a real self-inflicted goal. The other

:09:38. > :09:42.ones, great play from Celtic obviously. We spoke about Hearts not

:09:43. > :09:53.being able to get to grips with their shape, but their second goal,

:09:54. > :10:00.a quick free kick, that is one that will irk the Hearts management. You

:10:01. > :10:08.felt the roof really fell in for Hearts. The Celtic shape caused them

:10:09. > :10:21.to switch off, they were already feeling sorry for themselves, and

:10:22. > :10:35.when Charlie McGrew took his free kick, several of them were already

:10:36. > :10:43.walking away. This happened right through the game, the two fullbacks

:10:44. > :10:48.were up the pitch for Celtic, exploiting the narrowness of the

:10:49. > :10:52.Hearts defence, which have been caused because of Celtic's shape.

:10:53. > :10:59.This was a wonderful goal and it is because of the confidence flooding

:11:00. > :11:00.through the team. They think, "I am going to have a pop and anything can

:11:01. > :11:14.happen. " how much was this Celtic making a

:11:15. > :11:18.statement? We wondered if they would have any hangover from going out of

:11:19. > :11:24.Europe, if they would be feeling sorry for themselves. We heard that

:11:25. > :11:30.that would not be the case, and that they wanted to win the cup and win

:11:31. > :11:36.the league, so I think they have put down a marker. Everybody knows they

:11:37. > :11:41.are the team to beat. They have shown huge intent because everybody

:11:42. > :11:45.knows Celtic are going to win the league, but going out of Europe it

:11:46. > :11:51.falls on the Scottish cup and there is an incentive to make the season a

:11:52. > :11:55.success because if they only win the league it is fairly disappointing

:11:56. > :11:59.season for Celtic. They need to do the double again to emphasise having

:12:00. > :12:07.a successful season and today they really showed that they are going

:12:08. > :12:10.all guns blazing to do double again. There was certainly no sympathy vote

:12:11. > :12:16.from the referee in the award of the penalty, which we will get two in a

:12:17. > :12:22.moment, but let's get more reaction from downstairs. We have heard from

:12:23. > :12:32.Kris Commons, and Scott Brown scored twice as well. We will hear from him

:12:33. > :12:37.shortly with Gary Locke, but now Neil Lennon. It is the best

:12:38. > :12:44.performance I have had in my time as manager. In terms of Utopia, that is

:12:45. > :12:54.as good as it gets. That is the way we want them to play and the -- it

:12:55. > :12:59.was everything I could have asked for. People getting the ball,

:13:00. > :13:04.getting in the box, the passing, it was all there in evidence today and

:13:05. > :13:10.it wouldn't have mattered who we played today in that form. Right

:13:11. > :13:16.from the start, it really clicked today. Yes, obviously I wanted a

:13:17. > :13:21.reaction from them after Tuesday night but they are great team, some

:13:22. > :13:25.great players, and they showed that today. There is no shame in going

:13:26. > :13:29.out of the Champions League, they were competing at the highest

:13:30. > :13:34.level, and now they have put down a marker for the rest of the season.

:13:35. > :13:41.You must have been pleased that even 5-0 ahead at the end of the first

:13:42. > :13:49.half, they still pushed. We asked them to play the game as if it was

:13:50. > :13:58.0-0, and like I said we couldn't have asked for any more. It has been

:13:59. > :14:04.an all-round fantastic day. Do you feel it was a statement after

:14:05. > :14:09.Tuesday? Yes, there has been a lot of criticism, some justified, some

:14:10. > :14:14.unjustified, but we wanted to let everybody know that we are still an

:14:15. > :14:22.excellent side. The players have set the bar high, haven't they? Yes, I'm

:14:23. > :14:28.not expecting them to play like that every week, but particularly the

:14:29. > :14:37.first 45 is as good as I have ever seen and it could have been more.

:14:38. > :14:44.Everything you want from your team, I got today. Not a bad way to

:14:45. > :14:51.celebrate 200 games in charge. Yes, it is a nice milestone, a great

:14:52. > :14:59.privilege being in the manager 's' club. A lot of managers first time

:15:00. > :15:06.round don't see 50 games, so it is very pleasing but I want longevity

:15:07. > :15:13.in the job and 200 is a nice marker to hit. No one would have hurt more

:15:14. > :15:18.than him at Celtic's campaign in Europe ending during the week. You

:15:19. > :15:23.can sense a warm glow of satisfaction about today. He's right

:15:24. > :15:29.what he said. I'd be surprised if they played, in terms of the purist

:15:30. > :15:35.sense, the football they played in the first half. He talked about the

:15:36. > :15:39.Speed, the fitness, quality of touch of the team. It all came together.

:15:40. > :15:44.It was a sensational performance. You look at the opposition, you have

:15:45. > :15:48.to look at it and wonder about the quality. I don't doubt they would

:15:49. > :15:52.have beaten anybody today, whether it would have been seven against a

:15:53. > :15:57.better side, I don't know. You can't take anything away from Celtic

:15:58. > :16:03.today. They certainly didn't need any help, did they get some from the

:16:04. > :16:08.referee? It was an extremely harsh decision. Apart from the fact it is

:16:09. > :16:14.point-blank close range. You see here in the close-up that Danny

:16:15. > :16:18.Wilson's arms are effectively behind his back almost. It's not as if what

:16:19. > :16:26.people talk about an unnatural position. Just down by his side. A

:16:27. > :16:31.yard at best. I think he could have given himself a second and realised

:16:32. > :16:34.that it is a harsh penalty and, given the fact that Celtic five up,

:16:35. > :16:39.he should maybe have just let that one go. That is not taken away from

:16:40. > :16:45.Kris Commons, who got his hat-trick with that. It was a sublime finish

:16:46. > :16:50.right in the corner great penalty. A keeper has no chance of saving a

:16:51. > :16:56.penalty like that. That was 6-0 Celtic, that scoreline pretty

:16:57. > :17:00.quickly became 7-0. Goals are fairly rare commodities, maybe becoming a

:17:01. > :17:07.bit more regular of late, a double, he will be celebrating that one.

:17:08. > :17:14.With his left foot at well. It comes after a decent pass. We looked at

:17:15. > :17:19.how quickly Hearts reacted to the save. Stokes reacts first. Big

:17:20. > :17:24.deflection. You expect Hearts, even at this stage in the game, you do

:17:25. > :17:30.expect them to react better to that. They don't really go to it. They

:17:31. > :17:36.allow him to cross the ball. You expect Hearts to have someone flying

:17:37. > :17:39.in to try and prevent the cross. Hearts lost a goal last weekend at

:17:40. > :17:43.Ross County and they had nine players around the box with nobody

:17:44. > :17:47.closing the ball down. Very similar to that. Ross County got the ball

:17:48. > :17:53.and put it back in, broke to the edge of the box and that was very

:17:54. > :17:59.similar to the goal there from Scott Brown. MacDonald makes a fantastic

:18:00. > :18:04.save, breaks Anthony Stokes on the byline. He's got ten yards of space

:18:05. > :18:08.but he's not quick enough. They are too slow to react. They don't get

:18:09. > :18:13.out into Scott Brown's face and make it difficult for him. He has still

:18:14. > :18:18.got two yards before anyone is on him to get a left foot shot off him.

:18:19. > :18:22.That is just not good enough. Bike back row the home dressing room door

:18:23. > :18:25.is still bolted shut. We will hopefully get a word before the end

:18:26. > :18:39.of the programme with Gary Locke. You've been a manager of a team

:18:40. > :18:42.dismantled, destroyed by Celtic. You will have some sympathy for him. A

:18:43. > :18:45.huge amount. I hope he is in there not slaughtering these young lads,

:18:46. > :18:47.I'm sure he's not, I'm sure he's trying to convince them, as Michael

:18:48. > :18:50.rightly said, the gulf between this Champions League team and this young

:18:51. > :18:53.Hearts team is huge, and this result was possible. At no point did that

:18:54. > :19:00.Hearts team today throwing the towel. They weren't beaten 7-0

:19:01. > :19:05.because they didn't try. They get a grips with Celtic's shape. I think

:19:06. > :19:09.he has to go in there and explain that to them, to give them a

:19:10. > :19:15.justification. Why they can go out next week and expect to win. They

:19:16. > :19:18.are not playing Celtic will stop Dundee United are in great form but

:19:19. > :19:26.they are not the Celtic team they played today. They kept running in

:19:27. > :19:32.the game, they need to take that to the next game. Let's hear from Gary

:19:33. > :19:37.Locke. An afternoon to forget or want to

:19:38. > :19:41.learn a hard lesson from? A bit of both. We need to try and get it out

:19:42. > :19:45.of our system as quickly as possible, though we've got a lot to

:19:46. > :19:51.learn from it. We lost a two goal at the start of the game. We are young

:19:52. > :19:59.side but we were completely outclassed today. Was it basically

:20:00. > :20:02.down to naivete? I don't think so. If you have world-class players and

:20:03. > :20:07.you give them a lot of time on the ball they will hurt you. We did not

:20:08. > :20:11.get close to them at all. I know they passed the ball well and moved

:20:12. > :20:19.quickly from side to side and in and around the box, but we've got to do

:20:20. > :20:24.better. As much as trying to get closer to people. The writing was on

:20:25. > :20:29.the wall early on. As a coach, did you have your head in your hands?

:20:30. > :20:33.I've said all along, one of my worries this season was having such

:20:34. > :20:37.a young side, we knew we were going to be on the end of a result like

:20:38. > :20:42.that. One of the things is we've got to learn from it, pick ourselves up.

:20:43. > :20:47.We are out of the cup, but we will try and stay in the league. It was a

:20:48. > :20:53.harsh lesson for us today. Celtic were outstanding. There's a lot of

:20:54. > :20:57.lessons to be learned. Only time will tell, but what do you think

:20:58. > :21:05.this will do psychologically to that young side? It's not great for us.

:21:06. > :21:11.One thing we can't do, we can't feel sorry for ourselves. It's important

:21:12. > :21:15.that we learn from that. You have seen the way that Celtic passed the

:21:16. > :21:19.ball, the way they worked off the ball. They were playing with a lot

:21:20. > :21:24.of confidence and have world-class players. But it's important that we

:21:25. > :21:30.learn that harsh lesson today and respond in the might -- right man at

:21:31. > :21:34.Tannadice next week. And I supposed evidence of how big a rebuild is

:21:35. > :21:39.needed at this club when it finally gets on its feet. I'm not going to

:21:40. > :21:42.stand here and make excuses. I can only apologise to the supporters for

:21:43. > :21:48.that because they didn't deserve it. But we are where we are. We are a

:21:49. > :21:53.young side, 14 outfield players, the average age of the team is 19. Even

:21:54. > :21:57.with a really experienced side, they would have been up against it today

:21:58. > :22:00.because Celtic played that well. There's nothing we can do about

:22:01. > :22:07.that, but we can't feel sorry for ourselves. I've told the players

:22:08. > :22:12.that. We come in tomorrow morning dust ourselves down and make sure

:22:13. > :22:17.that we respond in the right manner next week. He doesn't hide away from

:22:18. > :22:26.the grim reality. He faces the music. Is there a fear about damage

:22:27. > :22:31.done to these young Hearts players? The time to evaluate that is at the

:22:32. > :22:37.end of the season. There is a very real risk that there can be. I was

:22:38. > :22:41.talking about, remember Gordon Strachan talking about when he was a

:22:42. > :22:45.youngster at Dundee and had thought of himself as a top player. He came

:22:46. > :22:50.against a really good Hibs team and got a doing. He said it took him two

:22:51. > :22:54.years to get over it. Sometimes you can be affected as a youngster, you

:22:55. > :22:58.are formed by your experiences. The risk is some of these youngsters,

:22:59. > :23:02.who are undoubtedly good players, are going to have a lasting effect

:23:03. > :23:33.from not just games like this, but throughout the season when they are

:23:34. > :23:35.going to come up against it. That's the real risk that Hearts find

:23:36. > :23:38.themselves with. There's nothing they can do about it, there's no

:23:39. > :23:40.alternative. Gary Locke has got a really difficult task in terms of

:23:41. > :23:43.trying to balance out not being too hard on them and trying to keep

:23:44. > :23:46.their heads up, and make sure their futures are continuing to be bright.

:23:47. > :23:48.The confidence of youth may be the best thing to have in these

:23:49. > :23:50.circumstances. That ability to bounce back. That's an asset that

:23:51. > :23:52.young player s bring. One of the things lacking in couple of

:23:53. > :23:55.experienced players. If you had one or is a couple of experienced

:23:56. > :23:58.players. If you had one or two that could pull it all togetherand it was

:23:59. > :24:00.going wrong, pulling it on the pitch, they don't have that, they

:24:01. > :24:03.are all out there as inexperienced players, they don't really know how

:24:04. > :24:06.to change it out there. They really need a little bit of experience

:24:07. > :24:13.brought in to help them. But they have any -- and they could go on to

:24:14. > :24:17.have a decent season. 7-0 Celtic in that match. Let's have a look at

:24:18. > :24:21.some of the key moments from other ties played across the weekend. What

:24:22. > :24:26.a night they will have had last night. Albion Rovers from League

:24:27. > :24:30.Two, knocking out Motherwell. Motherwell were one of the teams who

:24:31. > :24:39.fancy themselves to possibly go all of the way. You would have thought

:24:40. > :24:42.so. Gary Phillips with the goal. He is a personal trainer who works at

:24:43. > :24:51.new Douglas Park. He knows the surroundings. Fantastic finish.

:24:52. > :24:56.These are the moments that make the club so special. Not particularly

:24:57. > :25:00.special for Stuart McCall, who understandably was saying after the

:25:01. > :25:04.game he didn't want to go home, he was feeling embarrassed. But there

:25:05. > :25:08.is the flip side, you see those guys will stop that is what makes it so

:25:09. > :25:13.special and so enjoyable for everybody to watch. Manager James

:25:14. > :25:17.Ward will need that smile surgically removed from his face! It's just a

:25:18. > :25:21.shame that because of safety reasons that couldn't be played at

:25:22. > :25:24.Cliftonhill. I think it will be surgically removed from his face if

:25:25. > :25:29.tomorrow they draw Celtic, after today. They will be watching the

:25:30. > :25:32.draw with interest. Even if it is a draw like that, Celtic at Parkhead

:25:33. > :25:38.would be a fantastic draw for the likes of them. Queen of the S.

:25:39. > :25:42.Knocked St Mirren out of the league cup. They've got a replay in the

:25:43. > :25:47.Scottish Cup to come. It's going to be at Paisley. This was on the

:25:48. > :25:56.artificial surface at Palmerston. Twice behind, Jim McIntyre's team,

:25:57. > :26:01.twice they came back. The one thing we were talking about as well that

:26:02. > :26:04.is quite intriguing to see, the number of games in the cup that are

:26:05. > :26:11.on the artificial surfaces. This is another one here. Queen of the

:26:12. > :26:17.South, they will be going to St Mirren park full of confidence.

:26:18. > :26:21.Disappointed to see a former colleague of mine, a really good

:26:22. > :26:25.goalkeeper, disappointing to see him at fault there. That's a rare

:26:26. > :26:30.mistake, he's been really good for St Mirren. This is a really good

:26:31. > :26:41.goal from St Mirren. Nicely worked down the left. A good finish. A

:26:42. > :26:46.horrendous moustache. How much is familiarity with an artificial like

:26:47. > :26:51.that a factor in a result like this? Is a factor because they will train

:26:52. > :26:55.on it more often. St Mirren and the other teams have come up against

:26:56. > :26:58.this occasionally. Of course you need preparation for a game on a

:26:59. > :27:02.surface like that, you have a couple of training sessions on it. But,

:27:03. > :27:05.generally speaking, a lot of these teams will be playing on it all of

:27:06. > :27:10.the time. It gives them an understanding of it will stop it

:27:11. > :27:15.gives them confidence that teams who play on grass don't necessarily

:27:16. > :27:21.have. Hibs threw at the first time of asking. They won in Dingwall

:27:22. > :27:29.against Ross County. It was Terry Butcher's first win as Hibs manager.

:27:30. > :27:34.Composed finish. A notable difference for Hibs is there is Liam

:27:35. > :27:38.Craig, right on top of the ball in the box. Hibs have been accused of

:27:39. > :27:41.not having enough do about them. That's something that wouldn't have

:27:42. > :27:46.happened under Pat Fenlon. Winning the ball high up and sliding a good

:27:47. > :27:51.ball through to Hanlon, who finished it well. This is the first yellow

:27:52. > :27:56.card for Paul Kenny, for alleged time wasting. I think it was time

:27:57. > :28:02.wasting. They were winning at the time. He clearly thought that... You

:28:03. > :28:07.don't know how often in the game previously he's been guilty of it or

:28:08. > :28:11.if he's been warned. I thought the referee was entitled to book him

:28:12. > :28:17.there. It became significant because he was yellow carded again here with

:28:18. > :28:21.this one. This is a great run. Really positive run, which is

:28:22. > :28:25.another thing Hibs have been missing. I think it is harsh. Mark

:28:26. > :28:29.Brown get enough of the ball that it's not a penalty, but that is one

:28:30. > :28:33.of those instances where you can have an incident that is not a

:28:34. > :28:37.penalty, the guy has gone down and it's not a yellow card. Mark Brown,

:28:38. > :28:42.the ball deviates enough. But there has definitely been contact there.

:28:43. > :28:48.What is not recommended is falling out with Terry Butcher. He came on

:28:49. > :28:52.as a soap, then he was taken off. There was the reaction. The wagging

:28:53. > :28:58.finger looked pretty serious from Terry Butcher. A difficult decision

:28:59. > :29:06.for a manager. I once did it at Motherwell with Steve McGarry. We

:29:07. > :29:09.had to make a change. It became light-hearted and I'm sure they will

:29:10. > :29:13.deal with that. The boy will understand why the substitution was

:29:14. > :29:19.made. Reflections on what has happened here today. A stunning show

:29:20. > :29:22.from Celtic. It was. Gary Locke mentioned that even an experienced

:29:23. > :29:26.Hearts team would have been up against it today because Celtic were

:29:27. > :29:34.on top form. Neil Lennon said it was probably best that -- best he has

:29:35. > :29:39.had under his stewardship. I don't think it would have been a 7-0

:29:40. > :29:46.school with an experienced team, but it could have been an easy win for

:29:47. > :29:51.Celtic. Not surprised at all. I thought Celtic in the first half, I

:29:52. > :29:58.was so pleased to be here. It was a brilliant performance, to see it up

:29:59. > :30:00.close was fantastic. We will be rounding up all of the Sunday

:30:01. > :30:13.Scottish Cup action for you tonight. We will be rounding up what happened

:30:14. > :30:19.on Friday night and all of the Saturday matches as well. All in one

:30:20. > :30:22.neat package. Hearts and Celtic are at opposite ends of the Scottish

:30:23. > :30:26.Premiership, but the Scottish Cup holders were in a different league

:30:27. > :30:29.today as they cruised through to the last 16.
