:00:03. > :00:07.The North West, what position are we in from your point of view, is
:00:07. > :00:11.there something we can go away going, yeah, we should be positive,
:00:11. > :00:15.no matter what? We have a great heritage. A will the of businesses
:00:15. > :00:20.started in the north west. If you are pro-active and focused and you
:00:20. > :00:24.can see opportunities, there are, there are success stories out there.
:00:24. > :00:30.Businesses can grow. Businesses can develop. It -- it will have to be
:00:30. > :00:33.exports. That is where we will end it. Brian, Luke, Coral, anybody in
:00:33. > :00:39.our film, thank you very much. Thank you all for coming. Straw
:00:39. > :00:46.poll at the end. How many of you feel more positive? Anybody more
:00:46. > :00:51.optimistic now than they were at the beginning? You are waivering.
:00:51. > :00:55.There are fewer of you optimistic now. Right, OK. Thank you so much
:00:55. > :00:58.for all of you being here. The Budget is this week. We will be
:00:59. > :01:04.waiting with bated breath to see what George Osborne has to deliver.
:01:04. > :01:07.You can follow any of those developments across the BBC on
:01:07. > :01:11.North West Tonight and your BBC radio stations and online. From all
:01:11. > :01:21.of us here, at the Museum of Science and Industry, many, many
:01:21. > :01:21.
:01:21. > :03:21.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 120 seconds
:03:22. > :03:25.We had more than 750 points scored in Super League on Friday, Saturday
:03:25. > :03:29.and Sunday but it was the news that broke this morning that will be the
:03:29. > :03:33.big talking point of the next few days. Royce Simmons is no longer
:03:33. > :03:37.the coach of St Helens. The Australian has left the club after
:03:37. > :03:40.four straight Super League defeats. Joining me in studio are Richard
:03:40. > :03:50.Mathers of Wakefield and the former Bradford and Wigan coach, Brian
:03:50. > :03:50.
:03:50. > :03:54.Noble. A surprise? A bit of a shock
:03:54. > :03:59.actually because once there was four defeats, they had been pretty
:03:59. > :04:09.close and it is disappointing when somebody loses their job like that.
:04:09. > :04:14.A great guy and unfortunately he has had to move on. It is a shock.
:04:14. > :04:20.It is cut throat but I suppose at club of St Helens stature demands
:04:20. > :04:27.results and they have that brand new stadium. They have lost some
:04:27. > :04:31.key personnel and that is a big transition itself. It was a
:04:31. > :04:36.surprise when the news came through that it is a bigger club. It is
:04:36. > :04:40.just one point in the last five games they have had, was the
:04:40. > :04:44.unlucky because some of those defeats were pretty close? When you
:04:44. > :04:48.look at St Helens and the expectancies, is high to say the
:04:48. > :04:54.least. They have been at the club over the last 15 years, they have
:04:54. > :04:59.been to so many finals and won so many trophies. You know that the
:04:59. > :05:03.pressure will be so high for obvious reasons, that they want to
:05:03. > :05:06.win things. When you get on the back of a run, you've got to have
:05:06. > :05:14.some answers and a way out of that trouble otherwise the consequences
:05:14. > :05:17.are a lot higher. The chairman said that he looks ahead to the next
:05:17. > :05:22.three fixtures and he felt the change had to be made before those
:05:22. > :05:27.big games. They are massive gains in the context of any season but on
:05:27. > :05:32.the back of this, is a big responsibility for Kieran
:05:32. > :05:36.Cunningham. They will take that on board. They have been there a long
:05:36. > :05:39.time and they know the fabric of the club and they would get the
:05:39. > :05:43.players onside and there is no better way to turn it around
:05:43. > :05:47.against Leeds on Sunday. So the final act of Royce Simmons'
:05:47. > :05:51.reign was at Bradford on Saturday. The Bulls themselves were looking
:05:51. > :06:01.for their first home win of the season but with Saints having lost
:06:01. > :06:14.
:06:14. > :06:23.the last three, all eyes were on It is still alive, there still an
:06:23. > :06:33.opportunity here. Oh my word! With the conversion attempt for
:06:33. > :06:38.
:06:38. > :06:41.breathing space - can you believe And he scores! Saints are stunned.
:06:41. > :06:51.St Helens looking for a return to form tonight but they will have to
:06:51. > :07:01.do that without too influential players. Bradford is picking up
:07:01. > :07:01.
:07:01. > :07:11.some good momentum after a series of good performances.
:07:11. > :07:21.
:07:21. > :07:30.Tonight, some heavy weather, the Bradford Bulls. He might have got
:07:30. > :07:36.in for the first score of the night. The referee wants a second look. He
:07:36. > :07:40.is short, he is short and you can see a very obvious double movement
:07:40. > :07:50.there are so there should be no trial and it is confirmed as such.
:07:50. > :07:53.
:07:53. > :08:02.It is a penalty for St Helens. That look like a forward pass but the
:08:02. > :08:08.referee was right there. Shooting of the first defender but not the
:08:08. > :08:14.second and third. Bradford are at sixes and sevens. Since will score
:08:14. > :08:20.the opening try of the night. Touchdown in the end by Andrew
:08:20. > :08:30.Dixon. It could have been any one of four. Fans felt there was a
:08:30. > :08:31.
:08:31. > :08:36.forward pass in the build-up. It certainly looked forward. A finish
:08:36. > :08:46.here by Andrew Dickson but it has left a bad taste in the minds of
:08:46. > :08:50.
:08:50. > :08:59.the supporters. Kicked on, it is why Ted! He has
:08:59. > :09:06.got a bang to the head. The try is concerned. How many times have we
:09:06. > :09:10.seen this? Then Jeffrey's kick setting up a try. There was a kick
:09:10. > :09:18.in the head of from Foster. That has attracted the attention of the
:09:18. > :09:28.referee. That looked at reckless, more than intentional, but a
:09:28. > :09:31.
:09:31. > :09:38.penalty try has been given. The referee has decided that that was
:09:38. > :09:48.reckless and the pair of the given. Another two from under the post.
:09:48. > :10:05.
:10:06. > :10:14.Bradford lead 8-4 in a very stodgy He scores! Foster will hang his
:10:14. > :10:22.head here. He thought he was going out of play. He lets it bounce.
:10:22. > :10:32.Carol Price takes it up and scores. Foster is furious with himself. The
:10:32. > :10:41.
:10:41. > :10:51.Bradford bench can see the funny side. It has been dropped. It is a
:10:51. > :10:51.
:10:51. > :10:59.penalty. The referee is indicating a yellow card for faster. Offside,
:10:59. > :11:09.the referee he says. A penalty maybe but sin binning him? That
:11:09. > :11:10.
:11:10. > :11:20.seems a little harsh. It certainly has not been forced to's night. --
:11:20. > :11:30.
:11:30. > :11:40.Foster's night. It has raised the ire of others on the pitch. He was
:11:40. > :11:41.
:11:41. > :11:47.very laid bare. And very late. He seems puzzled by why he has been
:11:47. > :11:57.penalised but that is why, he is lucky to stay on the field. Foster
:11:57. > :12:07.
:12:07. > :12:17.is back on the from the bin. Tony has dropped its claim. Maybe the
:12:17. > :12:25.
:12:25. > :12:31.last hope for since has disappeared. Only seconds remaining now. It may
:12:31. > :12:37.only be a consolation try but a very good at touchdown. Too late to
:12:37. > :12:43.count in terms of turning the game around, surely. St Helens, at least,
:12:43. > :12:47.can have an smile on their face at the last memory of this game, even
:12:47. > :12:57.if the other 79 minutes have been grim. Despite that score, it is
:12:57. > :13:03.
:13:03. > :13:10.An oddly disjointed performance? was probably a performance that
:13:10. > :13:14.lacked a little bit of confidence. It is great when you have it. When
:13:14. > :13:18.it is not quite there, there's an element of anxiety and it can
:13:18. > :13:22.change the shape of what you look like and do. There were some
:13:22. > :13:25.instances when people were running on the tackle when the normally
:13:25. > :13:35.wouldn't and that is the element of pressure that comes from a high
:13:35. > :13:38.performance standards. It was littered with mistakes? Things that
:13:38. > :13:42.were uncharacteristic and things that nine times out of 10, the
:13:42. > :13:48.players are coming out with but when things aren't going away,
:13:48. > :13:56.things creep in. It could be a confidence thing, unfamiliar
:13:56. > :14:02.territory, losing four games and they are not comfortable with them.
:14:02. > :14:07.Some of them were very basic and it cost them. We should take nothing
:14:07. > :14:11.away from Bradford because they played well. Absolutely, they
:14:11. > :14:15.carried on from the second have and that has given them a shot in the
:14:15. > :14:18.arm and you can see that, they're really confident now. They were
:14:18. > :14:26.tough on Saturday evening and they needed to be because since played
:14:26. > :14:31.pretty well. There were errors but they were in the game all the time.
:14:31. > :14:37.You have to say that Ben Jefferies is pretty incremental to Bradford
:14:37. > :14:44.scoring points at the moment. He has kicked the ball plenty for
:14:44. > :14:52.tries. The have won a tone which will be a big thing for them?
:14:53. > :14:56.they have had great tendencies as well. -- attendances. Good solid
:14:56. > :15:06.defence and their playing a simplistic game-plan. Then
:15:06. > :15:09.
:15:09. > :15:15.Do you think that they can go on and do something? They had a great
:15:15. > :15:21.start, I think it is consistency. They had some injuries as well.
:15:21. > :15:25.There is now no reason they cannot go to the top this year. Do you
:15:25. > :15:31.think we had written them off a little bit early? They did not
:15:31. > :15:37.start brilliantly. I think you cannot write off a team at the
:15:37. > :15:47.start of the season. There are still new teams out there, if you
:15:47. > :15:49.
:15:49. > :15:54.look at Wakefield. Their finding that fluidity. They are looking
:15:54. > :16:00.more solid than they did at the start of the season. So what next
:16:00. > :16:06.for Saints? They're looking for a new coach. There will be a huge
:16:06. > :16:16.list of applicants, I am certain of that. It is a fabulous club. You
:16:16. > :16:23.need to go there knowing that a lot of people will throw their hat into
:16:23. > :16:29.the ring. The Giants are retaining their coach until the end of the
:16:30. > :16:34.season, which is good for them. is a great coach. Nathan Browne
:16:34. > :16:40.announced that it would be his last year in charge and it is a strong
:16:40. > :16:44.statement to come out now and say that. He would have to be a
:16:44. > :16:54.favourite for the job, I am certain. He did a fantastic job at
:16:54. > :16:55.
:16:55. > :16:59.Huddersfield. They could perhaps go for an interim? Perhaps. I'll keep
:17:00. > :17:03.faith with a couple of experienced players who know the club Inside
:17:03. > :17:09.Out. Warrington and Wakefield met at the
:17:09. > :17:11.Halliwell Jones on Sunday. The Wolves slipped to their first
:17:11. > :17:19.defeat of the season at Leeds last weekend, and you managed to give
:17:19. > :17:27.them an almighty fright here, Richard. We played some great stuff
:17:27. > :17:33.and defended really well against an fantastic Warrington team. We were
:17:33. > :17:37.leading at half-time and felt like we were really in the game. But
:17:37. > :17:40.Warrington are a great side and they came back strongly in the
:17:40. > :17:45.second half. You seemed to be second half. You seemed to be
:17:45. > :17:54.playing with confidence as well. The coach has given us that
:17:54. > :18:02.confidence and backed as. And that is great for the players. We are
:18:02. > :18:07.just concentrating on that defence, trying to tighten up in that area.
:18:07. > :18:14.It was quite a big win for Warrington. Those close ones are
:18:14. > :18:20.the ones that you want to get away with, especially at home. There are
:18:20. > :18:25.still a few too many individual errors. The real test for them will
:18:25. > :18:34.come this weekend against Wigan. They just have enough quality to
:18:35. > :18:39.get over the line. Wakefield had some missed opportunities.
:18:39. > :18:49.And important to build on that, Richard? We were gutted after the
:18:49. > :18:54.
:18:54. > :19:02.game, to get so close. It is a bitter pill to swallow when you
:19:02. > :19:12.have put so much effort into getting the result. Do you feel
:19:12. > :19:12.
:19:13. > :19:17.that there will be a huge changes? We have improved week on week. Each
:19:17. > :19:22.week we are working on different areas and improving as aside.
:19:22. > :19:29.People do not give us much of a chance on the outside but we are
:19:29. > :19:31.confident about what we are doing. Champions Leeds have been in red
:19:31. > :19:38.hot form so far, they travelled to Salford on Friday, and despite an
:19:38. > :19:43.early scare, it was another sensational display by the Rhinos.
:19:43. > :19:53.They are on fire. We discussed their back line before the show and
:19:53. > :19:53.
:19:53. > :20:00.it is the most exciting one for quite a long time. They got that
:20:00. > :20:10.hat-trick. I think the whole back line is on
:20:10. > :20:15.
:20:16. > :20:20.fire. Kevin Sinfield as well, the footwork from this kid. He just
:20:20. > :20:29.moved on a sixpence, that is awesome. Then it John Bishop on the
:20:29. > :20:39.outside, they have got speed to burn.
:20:39. > :20:43.
:20:43. > :20:47.Kevin Sinfield has been some players for leaves. -- for Leeds.
:20:47. > :20:55.Danny Maguire, all the players are in form at the moment which is
:20:55. > :21:05.wonderful to see. You would pay the entrance fee just for that. It is
:21:05. > :21:07.
:21:07. > :21:11.fabulous footwork from Danny Maguire.
:21:11. > :21:17.They have a mixture of youth and experience. These youngsters are
:21:17. > :21:25.coming through a mixed the more experienced players. I just cannot
:21:25. > :21:31.say enough about them. Showing plenty of speed. And support play
:21:31. > :21:37.and all the things that you go through in practice. To see that
:21:37. > :21:45.wrote the performance. It is thrilling.
:21:45. > :21:50.Kevin Sinfield is an incredible player week-in, week-out.
:21:50. > :21:55.He puts in so many hours of practice on the training field. His
:21:55. > :22:05.all-round playing, he thoroughly deserved to break the record. He
:22:05. > :22:12.
:22:12. > :22:22.has been a fantastic player full -. You can be the best defensive coach
:22:22. > :22:24.
:22:25. > :22:30.in the world, but went Leeds are hot, they are hot. But they will
:22:30. > :22:35.need to improve defensively. They need to go back to some of the
:22:35. > :22:38.basic things. And the attacking basic things. And the attacking
:22:38. > :22:40.play has been impressive so far. Now it's rare these days for an
:22:40. > :22:43.overseas player to hang around for too long at one English club, but
:22:43. > :22:45.Ryan McGoldrick is an exception to that rule. The Australian has been
:22:45. > :22:53.with Castleford for six years now, his staying power with the Tigers
:22:53. > :22:59.has made him a popular figure around Wheldon Road.
:22:59. > :23:09.I am part of the furniture. I came year into a dozen than six. I
:23:09. > :23:12.
:23:12. > :23:19.thought I was only going to be here -- 2006. I have enjoyed my time
:23:19. > :23:29.here. It is a rugby league town and if you're going to come all the way
:23:29. > :23:33.
:23:33. > :23:39.from Australia you might as well be in a town like that. Where I was
:23:39. > :23:46.before they are mad about rugby league. But we also had the beach,
:23:46. > :23:56.so it is different playing over here! But this is one of the best
:23:56. > :23:57.
:23:57. > :24:01.places as a rugby league community. McGoldrick's first season ended in
:24:01. > :24:06.relegation from the Super League. But he was persuaded to stick
:24:06. > :24:11.around. There is not much royalty left now
:24:11. > :24:17.in rugby league. People do what they think is best. But it is
:24:17. > :24:27.something I have always found them rather important. To see how much
:24:27. > :24:33.
:24:33. > :24:38.people are affected, that is a big factor. 12 months later McGoldrick
:24:38. > :24:45.and Castleford won promotion back to the elite. Castleford were the
:24:45. > :24:55.last team to experienced the agony of traditional promotion and
:24:55. > :25:01.relegation. If there was relegation, some of
:25:01. > :25:05.those players would have been snapped up. So without the
:25:06. > :25:10.relegation, you definitely can promote young people within your
:25:10. > :25:16.squad and that is what it is all about. We have got a couple of
:25:16. > :25:21.young hookers with a good future ahead of them. And hopefully it
:25:21. > :25:27.will be with Castleford for a long time. That will give us a little
:25:27. > :25:31.bit of spark. And hopefully that will continue. McGoldrick is the
:25:31. > :25:37.great painted manner of the Superleague. His collection of
:25:37. > :25:47.tattoos revealing his philosophy on life. I have got a few. It started
:25:47. > :25:56.when I was 16 with a tiny tattoo on my chest. Then I convinced my
:25:56. > :26:02.parents to get two or three, but that would be it. Then they
:26:02. > :26:08.gradually started to sneak out from under that shirt. Then there was no
:26:08. > :26:14.stopping it. Now I'm starting to run out of the space. There's
:26:14. > :26:22.nothing to do with rugby league or my career, it is more stuff that I
:26:22. > :26:29.have been through. Across my neck I have, at loyalty costs nothing.
:26:29. > :26:37.Life is a gamble is another one. Then my to a bull mastiff dogs back
:26:37. > :26:42.home. The names of my brother and sister and that kind of stuff.
:26:42. > :26:51.Nothing about rugby league. But it fired a Papcastle Bridge for 10
:26:51. > :26:53.years spent maybe I would have to! -- if I end up at Castleford.
:26:53. > :27:03.McGoldrick is the type of character that every team needs, always
:27:03. > :27:04.
:27:04. > :27:10.positive and looking on the bright side. He is a fabulous player. On
:27:10. > :27:14.his day he is as good as any player in the competition. I have long
:27:14. > :27:20.been an admirer of him. He is one of those people that can change
:27:20. > :27:29.again. You played alongside him, any stories that you can
:27:29. > :27:35.broadcast?! He is a great fellow. He is a bit niggly on the field.
:27:35. > :27:42.But he is really a good fellow. He has been loyal to Castle food for
:27:42. > :27:48.six years and gone through the good times and the bad. When the chips
:27:48. > :27:55.are down heat always comes out as a good player. Under current
:27:55. > :27:59.character that you want around a club like that? Yes he is not yours
:27:59. > :28:09.terror to the core sports man. He has all those tattoos and has got a
:28:09. > :28:09.
:28:09. > :28:19.Harley Davidson. And a nightclub in the back garden! But what we get to
:28:19. > :28:21.see is his dedication. Ian Millward was back on the
:28:21. > :28:23.sidelines for Castleford on Friday night. They travelled to
:28:23. > :28:31.Huddersfield to face the Super League leaders. Dave Woods was
:28:31. > :28:41.League leaders. Dave Woods was watching.
:28:41. > :28:51.
:28:51. > :29:01.Robinson has a look around. George comes after it and he will
:29:01. > :29:01.
:29:01. > :29:52.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 120 seconds
:29:52. > :30:02.defending it. The Huddersfield backwards. Confirmed! Again, the
:30:02. > :30:12.
:30:12. > :30:18.defence will question itself. They could do with a response. Oh, he
:30:18. > :30:28.has had himself been the act of scoring. But it is for desperately
:30:28. > :30:35.
:30:35. > :30:42.needed points. He is going to be OK, they make them tough, don't they?
:30:42. > :30:52.Jason is in trouble here, I think. Have a look at this. Add chicken
:30:52. > :30:57.
:30:57. > :31:02.when a tackle. The referee has seen it and he is of the 10 minutes. He
:31:02. > :31:12.has support but he doesn't need it. What a splendid individual try that
:31:12. > :31:26.
:31:26. > :31:31.is. Off he goes. A burst of pace. A good try. George will score! Two
:31:31. > :31:41.tries in the blink of a night just before the break. Huddersfield are
:31:41. > :32:04.
:32:04. > :32:14.absolutely in the ascendancy now. George. It will be a hat-trick if
:32:14. > :32:15.
:32:15. > :32:24.confirmed. The question is, how did this all get this? He has rattled
:32:24. > :32:34.the ball free. Absolutely nothing wrong with the touchdown. It is a
:32:34. > :32:38.
:32:38. > :32:45.hat-trick for George. Another try for Huddersfield. Nobody left to
:32:45. > :32:53.stop the inevitable expert this time, George involved in the build
:32:53. > :33:03.up and Brown is the finisher. Huddersfield are at a canter at the
:33:03. > :33:17.
:33:17. > :33:24.moment. Simply no stopping them. Here is Lawrence. I think he has
:33:24. > :33:30.got that down! He has. Though marks here for Michael Lawrence. The
:33:30. > :33:34.strength and desire with two or three defenders on him. He just
:33:34. > :33:43.touches it down. Huddersfield's impressive start to the season
:33:43. > :33:51.continues. They do look impressive? continues. They do look impressive?
:33:51. > :34:01.They are playing great rugby. One thing I really liked as well, a lot
:34:01. > :34:04.
:34:04. > :34:09.of the starting line-up were English. Luke George's third hat-
:34:09. > :34:13.trick. Is he a little bit unfortunate that there are so many
:34:13. > :34:23.other good wingers out there at the moment? I don't think he will score
:34:23. > :34:33.an easier one! When you confident, you confident. The ball bounced
:34:33. > :34:38.
:34:38. > :34:46.perfectly for him. In the next one, this is a set play. In this one,
:34:47. > :34:49.even you could score this one, Richard! Don't take anything away
:34:49. > :34:58.from the Garrick, you've got to be in the frame to get those current
:34:58. > :35:02.scores. He will be thrilled and so he should be. Is the key for
:35:02. > :35:06.Huddersfield to sustain this. They look a bit stronger this year,
:35:06. > :35:16.don't they? They have some superstar forwards to come back as
:35:16. > :35:18.
:35:18. > :35:23.well. Nathan Brown is not scared to rotate them and keep them fresh.
:35:23. > :35:27.And give some of the fringe players ago. Everybody slots into the roles
:35:27. > :35:36.and they don't get too much disharmony in there so it is a big
:35:36. > :35:45.focus that they have fought on, staying consistent. They have not
:35:45. > :35:55.been afraid to bring youngsters in? Yes and you are getting the fruits
:35:55. > :35:58.
:35:58. > :36:01.of that Labour. That policy is really in place and you think
:36:01. > :36:05.O'Donnell not being in the team and some of the others, it looks well
:36:05. > :36:08.for them but the challenge is peaking at the right time because
:36:08. > :36:18.the first question you asked is a permanent one, they have to be
:36:18. > :36:21.fresh and healthy. Castleford last seen to be lacking in convents?
:36:21. > :36:27.They are having it tough at the moment. It has been a disruptive
:36:27. > :36:34.few weeks for the club as a whole. A little bit similar to last week,
:36:34. > :36:40.they just need to consolidate and improve and try to get that went in
:36:40. > :36:44.and I am sure they will cope. that Becky, somehow get a win and
:36:44. > :36:53.move forward? They will have to then their backs better than they
:36:53. > :36:56.did they were about passive at the weekend. Huddersfield executed
:36:56. > :37:03.really well and when you set your stall out to do certain things and
:37:03. > :37:06.it doesn't come off, it ricochets downwards.
:37:06. > :37:08.Wigan suffered a shock defeat against the bottom club Widnes last
:37:08. > :37:12.weekend. On Sunday they faced another struggling club and it
:37:12. > :37:20.looked for a while as though it would be another surprise for the
:37:20. > :37:30.Warriors. They started like a house on fire and cost Wigan quite a bit
:37:30. > :37:33.
:37:33. > :37:39.of trouble. Definitely a fright to start the game. London did look
:37:39. > :37:43.impressive. That is under which before or, at the scored 45 pounds
:37:43. > :37:49.the before and that has carried on. There was a little bit of quality
:37:49. > :37:59.in this week in the team. Shaun Wane wasn't happy but there is
:37:59. > :38:05.
:38:05. > :38:15.Gareth getting them back in again. Is he one of the best signings you
:38:15. > :38:19.
:38:19. > :38:23.ever made? He certainly has to be up there. These guys are at the
:38:23. > :38:27.ones that people want to pay to come and watch. Look at that, it is
:38:27. > :38:33.terrific to see. As good as London where with their attack, they got
:38:33. > :38:41.really close and again, they might have to talk about the defensive
:38:42. > :38:46.side of the game. Wigan are on a role here. Once we can got in front,
:38:46. > :38:50.they are pretty good at keeping a team at arm's length? They are
:38:50. > :38:57.really methodical in their attacking plans. They really know
:38:57. > :39:03.where they are going. London finished strong as well so some
:39:03. > :39:08.great passages of play from them as well. Wigan haven't been quite
:39:08. > :39:18.there in the first halves of games, interestingly, but to us through
:39:18. > :39:18.
:39:18. > :39:27.this one? That was too soft. That is a sop to try. Sam Tomkins is
:39:28. > :39:34.smart enough and thinks, I will go! He is good at that kind of think
:39:34. > :39:40.but London will be hugely disappointed with that. I mentioned
:39:40. > :39:44.it earlier that they have a chance to be more ruthless on Friday.
:39:44. > :39:47.This week, it is the turn of Hull FC to try their luck with our giant
:39:47. > :39:50.egg and spoon race. The Airlie Birds, as they like to be known,
:39:50. > :40:00.are chasing the time set by Castleford Tigers all the way back
:40:00. > :40:16.
:40:16. > :40:19.This week, we have a threesome hoping to fight against evil and
:40:19. > :40:23.claimed world domination or stop only joking, they're here for a
:40:23. > :40:32.giant egg and spoon race but there is something missing from this
:40:32. > :40:36.picture. That's better, a giant egg and spoon. They will need to use
:40:36. > :40:45.their psychological powers to complete the course in the quickest
:40:45. > :40:51.time a possible. Mistakes will be punished with five second penalties.
:40:51. > :41:01.Can Hull FC a bright those wrongs today. First of, it is Jordan
:41:01. > :41:07.
:41:07. > :41:12.Turner. That is not a bad start, to be fair. Here comes well sharp. He
:41:12. > :41:22.is doing pretty good here. Jimmy Ellis will be the man he is handing
:41:22. > :41:27.
:41:27. > :41:31.on to. Surely he will be hoping to make his mark. They might have been
:41:31. > :41:38.one or two handling errors. They dream of world domination is
:41:38. > :41:46.shutters with at time of 42.92 seconds or stopped that leaves them
:41:46. > :41:56.third on the leaderboard. Join us next time for another feast of
:41:56. > :41:57.
:41:57. > :42:01.fancy footwork. And some frightening faces.
:42:01. > :42:04.You are chomping at the bit to have a go? Just waiting for the phone
:42:04. > :42:08.call. Our obstacle course was obviously ideal preparation for
:42:08. > :42:14.Hull. They welcomed Widnes to the KC on Sunday and it was a bit of a
:42:14. > :42:20.rout. Hull FC were fantastic and attacked
:42:20. > :42:30.really importantly and they are flooded through. The first of four
:42:30. > :42:31.
:42:31. > :42:34.tries. 34 pounds in total. Also creating opportunities. Danny
:42:34. > :42:40.Houghton was highlighted by both coaches as being key player in this
:42:40. > :42:48.game. He has been given Ali's to play the football they get you for
:42:48. > :42:55.it. Knowing where to go, they look more fluid than I have done for a
:42:55. > :43:05.while. This is good, strong running. Do you think they have gone under
:43:05. > :43:05.
:43:05. > :43:10.the radar a bit because they missed that game at Catalan? No, coaches
:43:10. > :43:16.and fans are smart. Some teams have played a few more games and you get
:43:16. > :43:26.a few hiccups but they have recorded it fairly well. Andy Lynch
:43:26. > :43:26.
:43:26. > :43:36.is a fantastic player. He has been a huge acquisition for the club.
:43:36. > :43:41.Here we see great ship in a passing movement for. Aha aha ha ha ha go
:43:41. > :43:48.Denis Betts didn't pull his punches afterwards saying, to have 58
:43:49. > :43:55.points scored against you, this is unacceptable. After winning well,
:43:55. > :44:00.chipping that amount of points, it is a shame. It will be
:44:00. > :44:09.disappointing for Dennis. He even said that the last two tries got
:44:09. > :44:18.flatter them will stop there are still learning. There will be
:44:18. > :44:26.better for that experience. Catalans against Hull K hour, this
:44:26. > :44:36.was a close game? Yes. Michael Dobson against his own club
:44:36. > :44:37.
:44:37. > :44:45.squeezed over and they think they were winning at half-time. It was a
