2:08:31 > 2:08:34but four Rovers defenders making sure he's going no further.
2:08:36 > 2:08:38It's Houghton again.

2:09:28 > 2:09:31It's going to be a measured kick to the corner on the sixth tackle here.
2:09:31 > 2:09:35Where's this coming down? Welham was involved.
2:09:35 > 2:09:40It is a try, I think, from Costigan who's claiming it
2:09:40 > 2:09:42but the referee wants another look.
2:09:42 > 2:09:44Onside, offside.
2:09:44 > 2:09:48That seems to be OK from the attacking team's point of view
2:09:48 > 2:09:50and who got hands on that?
2:09:52 > 2:09:54It looks to have come off Whiting.

2:10:33 > 2:10:36Michael Lehman has forced his way over.
2:10:38 > 2:10:41He scored last week and he has scored again.
2:10:41 > 2:10:45He's getting his first taste of a Humberside Derby.
2:10:47 > 2:10:51Swept across here. Jordan Thompson is going to have a go.
2:10:51 > 2:10:54He is stretching the resolve of that Rovers defence
2:10:54 > 2:10:56but they just about hang on.
2:10:56 > 2:11:00But nervous times for those in red and white.
2:11:00 > 2:11:01Good little flick away.
2:11:01 > 2:11:06It's going to be Bowden who's going to bundle his way over.
2:11:06 > 2:11:09The off-load from Liam Watts was superb
2:11:09 > 2:11:12and Bowden makes the most of it.
2:11:12 > 2:11:14Good footwork. Good hand work.
2:11:14 > 2:11:16And a good finish from Bowden,
2:11:16 > 2:11:20despite the despairing last-minute attempt.
2:11:20 > 2:11:24Hodgson. Still got tackles at the back here as well.
2:11:24 > 2:11:27Driven forward by Justin Poore.
2:11:27 > 2:11:29Hodgson at dummy-half.
2:11:29 > 2:11:34To his left, they've got the numbers here again. Horne will reach!
2:11:34 > 2:11:36And Graham Horne will claim it.
2:11:38 > 2:11:42James Child gives it and Rovers rejoice!
2:11:45 > 2:11:47So close to the line
2:11:47 > 2:11:51and determination here from Horne against his former club to score.
2:11:54 > 2:11:56Hodgson, swift up there again.
2:11:56 > 2:11:59Fancies a little dabble from dummy-half himself.
2:12:01 > 2:12:04They look as though they want to keep it alive here, and they do.
2:12:04 > 2:12:08Searching wide. Step back on the inside.
2:12:11 > 2:12:12Salter to his feet.
2:12:12 > 2:12:16It is going to be the sixth tackle here, so the kick is needed.
2:12:16 > 2:12:21The pressure is on. Welham knocks it back. Graham Hall to his left.
2:12:21 > 2:12:24It's still alive. Horne again with a little grubber kick
2:12:24 > 2:12:27and a second attempt and the finish!
2:12:27 > 2:12:30Graham Horne, terrific effort.
2:12:30 > 2:12:34Hull KR absolutely in their pomp now.
2:12:34 > 2:12:36Hull are on the rack.
2:12:38 > 2:12:42Well, it was desperate stuff on the final tackle.
2:12:42 > 2:12:45Keep it alive so well.
2:12:45 > 2:12:47Despite that determined scrambled Hull defence,
2:12:47 > 2:12:50somehow Graham Horne finds a way through it.
2:12:52 > 2:12:54Houghton.
2:12:54 > 2:12:55They need to score quickly really
2:12:55 > 2:12:59if they are going to get themselves back in the contest here, Hull FC.
2:12:59 > 2:13:02This is a moment that might just present an opportunity
2:13:02 > 2:13:05for Danny Houghton!
2:13:05 > 2:13:07Wonderful work from dummy half.
2:13:07 > 2:13:09But has he got it down?
2:13:12 > 2:13:14Stretching over.
2:13:14 > 2:13:17Has he got that ball down on the ground?
2:13:19 > 2:13:22Does it touch the grass?
2:13:23 > 2:13:25Try is given!
2:13:27 > 2:13:31Danny Houghton did what mattered and Hull are right back in it.
2:13:35 > 2:13:36These are nervous moments.
2:13:36 > 2:13:39It is always a tense game but even more so here tonight.
2:13:39 > 2:13:43Ellis trying to drag himself through, 40 metres away.
2:13:43 > 2:13:46Richard Horne is the man at dummy-half.
2:13:46 > 2:13:49He's going to go down this blind side.
2:13:49 > 2:13:52Yeaman carries, dummies and then looks to his left
2:13:52 > 2:13:55and then turns it on for a finish for Talanoa.
2:13:55 > 2:13:59They are delighted. Hull right back in it.
2:14:00 > 2:14:04Would you believe it, all square with minutes to go?
2:14:04 > 2:14:09Yeaman working his magic down that blind side and Talanoa with a try.
2:14:11 > 2:14:15Richard Whiting puts this over, Hull have the lead.
2:14:15 > 2:14:20He has hit it well but he has pulled it wide. It remains all square.
2:14:22 > 2:14:29Here comes Hodgson. Hull KR desperate for the position.
2:14:29 > 2:14:32One point might be enough. Hodgson again.
2:14:32 > 2:14:35They are still going to drive it forward.
2:14:35 > 2:14:39Pushing that defence back. Big effort.
2:14:39 > 2:14:43Now, have they got the numbers? Here it goes from Hall with a kick.
2:14:43 > 2:14:46Has he gone it? Yes, he has!
2:14:46 > 2:14:50Craig Hall is the hero in red and white
2:14:50 > 2:14:55and Hull KR have snatched it right at the last.
2:14:55 > 2:14:59Desperate stuff, but they are desperately happy.
2:15:02 > 2:15:06Sandercock said afterwards that's the best win since I came here.
2:15:06 > 2:15:09What does it feel like to win a game like that?
2:15:09 > 2:15:12It was a proper derby, wasn't it? They got stuck into each other.
2:15:12 > 2:15:16The intensity of the game for 80 minutes was as high as I have seen
2:15:16 > 2:15:18at a derby game.
2:15:18 > 2:15:22Lots of decisions to and from, and the excitement and the intensity
2:15:22 > 2:15:24and the nerves.
2:15:24 > 2:15:26He actually played every play of that game, Craig Sandercock,
2:15:26 > 2:15:28when you looked at him on the television,
2:15:28 > 2:15:29but it's a great win for them.
2:15:29 > 2:15:33The manner of which they won can really galvanise your team
2:15:33 > 2:15:34for the rest of the season.
2:15:34 > 2:15:36They've hit a rich vein of form, Hull KR.
2:15:36 > 2:15:40Such a difficult start for them. What's been the difference?
2:15:40 > 2:15:43Probably just the fact that they've got a little bit more consistency
2:15:43 > 2:15:45in what they're doing.
2:15:45 > 2:15:49They've had less injuries on the way and for that game, it was immense.
2:15:49 > 2:15:52The actual pressure everybody was under, including the coaches,
2:15:52 > 2:15:55because that's the big game you want to win.
2:15:55 > 2:15:58Fantastic spectacle. Great for the sport as well yet again.
2:15:58 > 2:16:00The drop goal went directly through
2:16:00 > 2:16:03the post which was quite nice to see.
2:16:03 > 2:16:05I think we all enjoyed it.
2:16:05 > 2:16:07Still a little bit sore, are we, about that one?
2:16:07 > 2:16:10Not in the slightest, no.
2:16:10 > 2:16:13For Hull KR, there were quite a few video referee decisions.
2:16:13 > 2:16:16You can understand them getting a little twitchy.
2:16:16 > 2:16:19Thankfully they came the right side of the result.
2:16:19 > 2:16:20because there were two or three.
2:16:20 > 2:16:22Craig Hall was involved in one
2:16:22 > 2:16:25and a couple of no put-downs Early in the game.
2:16:25 > 2:16:28Neville Costigan we saw there, you're thinking it's not our night
2:16:28 > 2:16:31but, thankfully, they got the right side of the result which took
2:16:31 > 2:16:33that element of controversy away.
2:16:33 > 2:16:38Hull FC struggling to find consistency. What's the problem?
2:16:38 > 2:16:39I am not entirely sure.
2:16:39 > 2:16:42It's something they'll have to look into a little bit more closely
2:16:42 > 2:16:45because against us they were absolutely fantastic.
2:16:45 > 2:16:49They could sense that we were there for the taking against Hull KR.
2:16:49 > 2:16:52They found a team who were equally up to the task
2:16:52 > 2:16:54and someone who wanted to get one over them.
2:16:54 > 2:16:57In the big games, when they've got two teams going head-to-head,
2:16:57 > 2:17:00it's the ones that they are dropping at the moment.
2:17:00 > 2:17:02There were two other matches on Thursday night.
2:17:02 > 2:17:04Catalan were at The Hive to take on London,
2:17:04 > 2:17:06while Leeds had a slightly shorter journey.
2:17:06 > 2:17:08They were at Bradford.
2:17:10 > 2:17:14Leeds Rhinos ran riot against Bradford Bulls on Thursday evening,
2:17:14 > 2:17:17recording their biggest ever victory at Odsal.
2:17:17 > 2:17:20Kevin Sinfield setting them on their way with the first of four
2:17:20 > 2:17:23tries in the opening 15 minutes.
2:17:23 > 2:17:26Scores from Moone and McGuire followed before Ryan Hall
2:17:26 > 2:17:31touched down for his first of the evening as Leeds took full advantage
2:17:31 > 2:17:34against a Bradford side who lost Jamie Foster and Matt Diskin
2:17:34 > 2:17:37to illness and injury before the kick-off.
2:17:37 > 2:17:40The Bulls' only try of the night came from this Lee Gaskell
2:17:40 > 2:17:43opportunist interception.
2:17:43 > 2:17:46The coach, Francis Cummings, was in dispirited mood afterwards
2:17:46 > 2:17:50saying if anything can go wrong, it is going wrong at the moment.
2:17:52 > 2:17:55The Rhinos completely dominated the second half,
2:17:55 > 2:17:57with Ryan Hall scoring twice in quick succession
2:17:57 > 2:18:00to complete yet another hat-trick.
2:18:00 > 2:18:03Then it was a procession of flowing, attacking rugby
2:18:03 > 2:18:06that Bradford simply could not live with.
2:18:07 > 2:18:09It was the Bulls' sixth defeat in a row
2:18:09 > 2:18:13as they wait on that appeal against their six-point deduction
2:18:13 > 2:18:14to be lifted.
2:18:14 > 2:18:17Confidence clearly at rock bottom.
2:18:17 > 2:18:19Liam Sutcliffe,
2:18:19 > 2:18:21who spent a month on loan with the Bulls earlier this season,
2:18:21 > 2:18:26breaking through several tackles to round off this passage of play.
2:18:26 > 2:18:29The pick of the tries came from Kallum Watkins,
2:18:29 > 2:18:32as the England centre collected the ball on halfway
2:18:32 > 2:18:36and steam-rollered his way through the Bulls' defence.
2:18:38 > 2:18:40And this was impressive stuff from Leeds,
2:18:40 > 2:18:44capped off by the perfect end to the perfect day,
2:18:44 > 2:18:47as Rob Burrow celebrated his 400th appearance for the club
2:18:47 > 2:18:49and his 13th year at Headingley.
2:18:53 > 2:18:55Catalan Dragons continued their revival
2:18:55 > 2:18:58as they made it four wins out of five at London.
2:18:58 > 2:19:02Michael Oldfield scoring the first of five Catalan tries,
2:19:02 > 2:19:06with Taia, Barthau and Pelissier also scoring
2:19:06 > 2:19:08before this effort from Vincent Duport
2:19:08 > 2:19:11put the French side 24 points clear
2:19:11 > 2:19:14with just 12 minutes to go.
2:19:14 > 2:19:16It looked to be plain sailing for the visitors
2:19:16 > 2:19:18but, with 10 minutes left,
2:19:18 > 2:19:20London started a remarkable fight back.
2:19:21 > 2:19:25Mason Caton-Brown racing away for the second of his two tries.
2:19:27 > 2:19:29And the Broncos started to believe.
2:19:29 > 2:19:31This late effort from Denny Solomona
2:19:31 > 2:19:34bringing London to within just one score.
2:19:34 > 2:19:35But time ran out,
2:19:35 > 2:19:38and it's now nine straight defeats
2:19:38 > 2:19:40for the start of the season.
2:19:40 > 2:19:43No real surprises in the Catalan-London result,
2:19:43 > 2:19:45but signs of improvement again from London.
2:19:45 > 2:19:48Yeah, it's good to see, because we want a competitive London side
2:19:48 > 2:19:51and it's been disappointing when they've leaked so many points
2:19:51 > 2:19:54and not really got many on the board.
2:19:54 > 2:19:55But I think the good signs are
2:19:55 > 2:19:58that these are young players coming through, London players,
2:19:58 > 2:20:00which is great to see and, hopefully, they'll pick up
2:20:00 > 2:20:02a few more points throughout the season.
2:20:02 > 2:20:03Just looking at the Leeds-Bradford game,
2:20:03 > 2:20:05we've waxed lyrical about Leeds' back line
2:20:05 > 2:20:09and how well they're scoring tries, but defensively they've been really tight.
2:20:09 > 2:20:12I think it's only St Helens have scored more than 12 points against them.
2:20:12 > 2:20:14In all their games so far this year
2:20:14 > 2:20:16they've only conceded 70 or 80 points. Wow.
2:20:16 > 2:20:19Somebody's bending their backs there really well, aren't they,
2:20:19 > 2:20:22and defending really well. And it's giving them the opportunity
2:20:22 > 2:20:24to launch what is an exciting back line, you know,
2:20:24 > 2:20:26when their forwards do their stuff,
2:20:26 > 2:20:27so they've got that balance right,
2:20:27 > 2:20:29they've really got some prowess in attack
2:20:29 > 2:20:31and they're certainly bending their backs as well.
2:20:31 > 2:20:33There were four games on Good Friday
2:20:33 > 2:20:36when Castleford were looking to get back to winning ways
2:20:36 > 2:20:38after defeat against Saints.
2:20:38 > 2:20:41How pleased will Daryl Powell be with how they reacted at Wakefield?
2:20:41 > 2:20:43Do you know what, they were fantastic in this game,
2:20:43 > 2:20:45and Wakefield have been struggling for a little bit of form
2:20:45 > 2:20:48and they kicked it off straightaway with a great Carney try.
2:20:48 > 2:20:51And you just see him powering down the sideline
2:20:51 > 2:20:53and this big fend of doom straight to the face -
2:20:53 > 2:20:55get out my way, son, put the ball down.
2:20:55 > 2:20:57That's what it's all about.
2:20:57 > 2:20:58And then, off the back of that though,
2:20:58 > 2:21:01Wakefield did have a few questions themselves.
2:21:01 > 2:21:04A dodgy decision there, surely a knock-on.
2:21:04 > 2:21:06But Reece Lyne down the outside with Jarrod Sammut in support,
2:21:06 > 2:21:09which he's doing really well at the moment,
2:21:09 > 2:21:11so it's good to see him finding a bit of a position
2:21:11 > 2:21:13at the back as well, full-backer.
2:21:13 > 2:21:16Interesting decision to play him there.
2:21:16 > 2:21:18But Castleford were never going to give in
2:21:18 > 2:21:20and this is what they've been showing
2:21:20 > 2:21:21throughout the whole season so far.
2:21:21 > 2:21:24Oliver Holmes through the middle with a lovely little off-load
2:21:24 > 2:21:26and Scott Wheeldon with a bit of footwork.
2:21:26 > 2:21:28Don't know where that's come from,
2:21:28 > 2:21:29but it's good to see him in form as well.
2:21:29 > 2:21:31They work really, really well.
2:21:31 > 2:21:33This game was never over,
2:21:33 > 2:21:36and the problem is that Wakefield just couldn't hang in there
2:21:36 > 2:21:37right to the end.
2:21:37 > 2:21:40Reece Lyne with another great try, good bounce of the ball.
2:21:40 > 2:21:43Dodgy put-down as well, but, you know, one-handed,
2:21:43 > 2:21:45you've got to give it to him.
2:21:45 > 2:21:47Again though, it's Castleford,
2:21:47 > 2:21:48they just wanted this game so much.
2:21:48 > 2:21:50Liam Finn showing great bravery,
2:21:50 > 2:21:54trying to tackle the post as well as scoring the try.
2:21:54 > 2:21:59That took it to 32-20, but then Daryl Clark finished it off.
2:21:59 > 2:22:00Beautifully, back on the inside,
2:22:00 > 2:22:03with a great individual effort at the end.
2:22:03 > 2:22:07Moving on to Warrington-Widnes. A funny game, this.
2:22:07 > 2:22:09I don't think anybody saw this sort of score line coming.
2:22:09 > 2:22:11I don't think anybody saw it.
2:22:11 > 2:22:14Local derby, I would have expected a whole lot closer,
2:22:14 > 2:22:15but O'Brien kicks here for Joel Monaghan,
2:22:15 > 2:22:18which really got the Warrington side flying off to a great start
2:22:18 > 2:22:19and they continued it.
2:22:19 > 2:22:23You know, Mickey Higham with a trademark run from dummy half
2:22:23 > 2:22:26and I think Chris Bridge on his outside, he does all the easy work.
2:22:26 > 2:22:29Mickey Higham's done the hard work there,
2:22:29 > 2:22:31but clearly a good start for the Warrington team.
2:22:31 > 2:22:33And generally, when they get their good start,
2:22:33 > 2:22:34they kick on and beat teams.
2:22:34 > 2:22:36Looking a bit more like their old selves,
2:22:36 > 2:22:38attacking-wise it seemed to gel in this game.
2:22:38 > 2:22:40Yeah, they seemed to find their rhythm.
2:22:40 > 2:22:42Rhys Evans finishing off the old traditional bounce pass,
2:22:42 > 2:22:44beats everybody when he hits the ground
2:22:44 > 2:22:46and they were in strong control.
2:22:46 > 2:22:48And, you know, Paddy Flynn here
2:22:48 > 2:22:51tries to bring them back into the game, you know, Widnes,
2:22:51 > 2:22:55it's their only success of the game and he finishes this quite well.
2:22:55 > 2:22:57But that's the only sign we saw from Widnes
2:22:57 > 2:22:59and Denis Betts, their coach, was a little bit disappointed,
2:22:59 > 2:23:01I think, with his reaction.
2:23:01 > 2:23:03But you can't take anything away from Warrington.
2:23:03 > 2:23:05And great ball-steal.
2:23:05 > 2:23:08It releases Ryan Atkins under the sticks.
2:23:08 > 2:23:10So everybody, all the usual culprits,
2:23:10 > 2:23:13the Bridges and the Atkins, back to the fore for Warrington.
2:23:13 > 2:23:14You know, they look very strong.
2:23:14 > 2:23:16On to your game against Salford.
2:23:16 > 2:23:18A big game for you guys.
2:23:18 > 2:23:21Yeah, it was. It was a chance to get back on track,
2:23:21 > 2:23:23and Shaun Lunt typically stealing the try
2:23:23 > 2:23:25off the back of one of my carries,
2:23:25 > 2:23:27which he does quite a lot!
2:23:27 > 2:23:30Again, getting him back in the team's been fantastic for us.
2:23:30 > 2:23:31He makes a lovely little break with a kick,
2:23:31 > 2:23:35Grix back on the inside for Danny Brough and great support as well.
2:23:35 > 2:23:37So, you know, we were doing it tough,
2:23:37 > 2:23:40but we've managed to get back on track a little bit.
2:23:40 > 2:23:41Adrian Morley, though,
2:23:41 > 2:23:44he's been rolling back the years playing massive minutes,
2:23:44 > 2:23:48and that one-out try was a spectacular try for him.
2:23:48 > 2:23:50Salford, they didn't give in as well.
2:23:50 > 2:23:52They played some interesting rugby,
2:23:52 > 2:23:55but Rangi Chase, that's what he does best.
2:23:55 > 2:23:57- Meli scoring a few tries, isn't he?- He's playing well.
2:23:57 > 2:24:00That left-hand side of Salford is very, very important
2:24:00 > 2:24:02and they've got some talent in the team and they'll click.
2:24:02 > 2:24:04And once they get a run of consistency
2:24:04 > 2:24:06they'll trouble most teams.
2:24:06 > 2:24:09They've got to bend their backs a little bit better, as we've seen,
2:24:09 > 2:24:11but they've got a heck of a lot of prowess
2:24:11 > 2:24:13and they're going to trouble some teams.
2:24:13 > 2:24:14When they came back at you,
2:24:14 > 2:24:18was there any sense of a wobble given recent results or not?
2:24:18 > 2:24:19I'd like to say there wasn't
2:24:19 > 2:24:21and we were confident that we'd quite easily
2:24:21 > 2:24:24run away with it in the end, but it wasn't the case.
2:24:24 > 2:24:26Against a team like Salford with so many great individuals,
2:24:26 > 2:24:29you know, that you've got to go right to the final hooter.
2:24:29 > 2:24:30Fortunately we did that,
2:24:30 > 2:24:33Aaron Murphy picking up his hat-trick along the way as well,
2:24:33 > 2:24:34which is great to see.
2:24:34 > 2:24:37But it was always going to be tough against Salford.
2:24:37 > 2:24:40A sense of relief to finally get back to winning ways?
2:24:40 > 2:24:41Yeah, a massive relief.
2:24:41 > 2:24:42And going over the weekend
2:24:42 > 2:24:44we knew we had two really big games for ourselves
2:24:44 > 2:24:48and we started it off really well with two points against Salford.
2:24:48 > 2:24:50Well, the league leaders St Helens
2:24:50 > 2:24:52took a 100% record into the Easter weekend.
2:24:52 > 2:24:55Remember, they've had some dramatic victories over the last few weeks.
2:24:55 > 2:24:58So, how did they get on against old rivals Wigan?
2:24:58 > 2:25:00Stuart Pyke was watching.
2:25:02 > 2:25:04Well, perfect conditions.
2:25:04 > 2:25:07A sell-out crowd of just shy of 18,000
2:25:07 > 2:25:11as Wigan looking to make the perfect start.
2:25:11 > 2:25:15Farrell stopped just short. O'Loughlin.
2:25:15 > 2:25:19O'Loughlin goes on his own! Has he got the ball down?
2:25:19 > 2:25:21The Wigan captain thinks he's scored.
2:25:21 > 2:25:23And he has, you know!
2:25:23 > 2:25:26Richard Silverwood points to the spot
2:25:26 > 2:25:27and Sean O'Loughlin...
2:25:27 > 2:25:30Well, that was sloppy defending.
2:25:31 > 2:25:33Great try.
2:25:36 > 2:25:39Saints needing to get going in this derby match.
2:25:39 > 2:25:44And they might just do that here with Lomax. Lomax and Makinson!
2:25:44 > 2:25:45Tommy Makinson!
2:25:45 > 2:25:48A terrific St Helens try.
2:25:49 > 2:25:51They're back in it.
2:25:53 > 2:25:57Well, that was something special from Jonny Lomax.
2:25:57 > 2:26:00What a start to the season.
2:26:01 > 2:26:02For both Lomax and for Makinson,
2:26:02 > 2:26:05his tenth of the season.
2:26:07 > 2:26:09Good play from Green.
2:26:09 > 2:26:11He's got support here from O'Loughlin.
2:26:11 > 2:26:13Everything Wigan are doing
2:26:13 > 2:26:15is coming through their captain.
2:26:15 > 2:26:19What a pass! And what a try for Dan Sarginson.
2:26:19 > 2:26:21Wigan hit the front again.
2:26:21 > 2:26:23WHISTLE BLOWS
2:26:25 > 2:26:28Well, they say that the big names
2:26:28 > 2:26:30turn up for the big games.
2:26:32 > 2:26:35Wigan captain Sean O'Loughlin...
2:26:35 > 2:26:37is doing just that.
2:26:42 > 2:26:43On the last.
2:26:44 > 2:26:47Blake Green with a little kick towards the sidelines.
2:26:47 > 2:26:49Burgess, was that forward?
2:26:49 > 2:26:50St Helens say it was.
2:26:50 > 2:26:53The referee Richard Silverwood says it isn't.
2:26:53 > 2:26:55It came off a St Helens hand.
2:26:55 > 2:26:59And Farrell, Liam Farrell with a crucial score for Wigan.
2:27:03 > 2:27:06Richard Silverwood said, "It came off your own player."
2:27:06 > 2:27:08It touched a St Helens hand.
2:27:08 > 2:27:10He still had a lot to do,
2:27:10 > 2:27:13and Liam Farrell....
2:27:14 > 2:27:15Big try for the Warriors.
2:27:17 > 2:27:19Walsh. Rowans.
2:27:21 > 2:27:23St Helens knocking on the door,
2:27:23 > 2:27:25they have to be the team that scores next.
2:27:25 > 2:27:28Walsh! Walsh and Makinson!
2:27:28 > 2:27:31It's 11 tries in 7 games now.
2:27:32 > 2:27:35Tommy Makinson scores spectacular tries.
2:27:36 > 2:27:40They won't come any easier than that for the Saints' number two.
2:27:42 > 2:27:45The Saints building a head of steam here. Hohaia.
2:27:46 > 2:27:49Lovely short pass, and Jordan Turner is over.
2:27:50 > 2:27:53They are right back in it now.
2:27:53 > 2:27:56What a derby this is turning out to be.
2:27:56 > 2:27:58Lovely little pass.
2:27:58 > 2:28:00And Turner had the strength.
2:28:03 > 2:28:06on the stroke of half-time...
2:28:06 > 2:28:08Saints are back in this.
2:28:08 > 2:28:10Moved across.
2:28:10 > 2:28:13- Moved across pulling back. - They've conceded a penalty.
2:28:13 > 2:28:16The last act of the half. It was Wilkin who was penalised
2:28:16 > 2:28:17for pulling back Matty Smith.
2:28:22 > 2:28:24No mistake.
2:28:24 > 2:28:28And Wigan restore their six-point advantage.
2:28:28 > 2:28:3120-14 they lead, a pulsating first half.
2:28:36 > 2:28:39It really has been a brilliant game.
2:28:40 > 2:28:43Here come Wigan again on the far side, Burgess with a kick forward.
2:28:43 > 2:28:47Farrell... Oh, it's bounced back into Farrell's arms!
2:28:47 > 2:28:49It's all going Wigan's way.
2:28:49 > 2:28:53And at the start of the second half, Liam Farrell with his second try.
2:28:55 > 2:28:57And Wigan take control once again.
2:29:00 > 2:29:05Well, Lady Luck's smiling on Wigan...
2:29:06 > 2:29:08in the sunshine at Langtree Park.
2:29:13 > 2:29:15There's no doubt Wigan have been targeting
2:29:15 > 2:29:17Saints' right-side defence.
2:29:17 > 2:29:21They're doing it again with Goulding! Burgess is away!
2:29:21 > 2:29:25Burgess will score, and that's surely it now.
2:29:25 > 2:29:29Wigan cruising against their bitter rivals.
2:29:33 > 2:29:36It was Jordan Turner who missed the tackle
2:29:36 > 2:29:38and young Joe Burgess,
2:29:38 > 2:29:41what a revelation he's been in 2014.
2:29:44 > 2:29:49And Matty Smith rubs salt in the Saints' wounds
2:29:49 > 2:29:52against his home-town club.
2:29:52 > 2:29:55And Saints' 100% record
2:29:55 > 2:29:58is shattered by their big rivals.
2:30:00 > 2:30:03Shaun Wane was particularly happy to be the coach, wasn't he,
2:30:03 > 2:30:05that shattered that 100% record?
2:30:05 > 2:30:09Wigan showing yet again they are the team for the big game, aren't they?
2:30:09 > 2:30:13Of course, he would be really excited about that one
2:30:13 > 2:30:15because it is the big game for them.
2:30:15 > 2:30:18For me, Saints have just had a few cracks
2:30:18 > 2:30:20in their defensive armour, especially.
2:30:20 > 2:30:23You could see it was going to happen at some point.
2:30:23 > 2:30:25Against Wigan it was always going to happen.
2:30:25 > 2:30:28I think Wigan played fantastically and Saints went toe to toe
2:30:28 > 2:30:31for a while but couldn't handle them in the end.
2:30:31 > 2:30:35Both coaches picked out Sean O'Loughlin and how special he was.
2:30:35 > 2:30:37What is it that makes him such a good player?
2:30:37 > 2:30:39I picked him out as well.
2:30:39 > 2:30:41I commentated on that game and he is very special
2:30:41 > 2:30:43and has been for a while. He is strong.
2:30:43 > 2:30:46Whatever you want a rugby player to be, he can do.
2:30:46 > 2:30:49He can ball play, he can whack you if you run at him,
2:30:49 > 2:30:52he can do the tough stuff when you need to roll your sleeves up.
2:30:52 > 2:30:53Sean O'Loughlin shows up
2:30:53 > 2:30:56and he really is a good leader by his performances.
2:30:56 > 2:30:59What can he do? Pretty much anything sometimes.
2:30:59 > 2:31:01It is interesting. He's not a flashy player,
2:31:01 > 2:31:04he just seems to be the key player for the team.
2:31:04 > 2:31:06He reminds me of Farrell of old, to be honest.
2:31:06 > 2:31:10He is that sort of influential player that you need in your team to
2:31:10 > 2:31:13especially win the big games, he has all the skills
2:31:13 > 2:31:15and the fitness levels.
2:31:15 > 2:31:17You know when he's not playing that they are not going to be
2:31:17 > 2:31:19quite at their best.
2:31:19 > 2:31:22When they are in the team they are very dangerous.
2:31:22 > 2:31:25Wigan had a slightly up and down beginning to the season
2:31:25 > 2:31:28but five wins in a row, how good do you think they're looking now?
2:31:28 > 2:31:31Their machine is rolling again and that is a compliment.
2:31:31 > 2:31:34They have very good structures and people know their roles,
2:31:34 > 2:31:36and know how they play and what to do.
2:31:36 > 2:31:39So once people are finding their form,
2:31:39 > 2:31:41they have had a strange start to the season.
2:31:41 > 2:31:44As champions they had to go down under for the World Club Challenge
2:31:44 > 2:31:46which is disruptive, what anybody says.
2:31:46 > 2:31:50But they were always very confident once they got into their rhythm.
2:31:50 > 2:31:52With the spine of their team back,
2:31:52 > 2:31:54when you look at McIlorum, Blake, Smith
2:31:54 > 2:31:56and O'Loughlin and the full-back, Matty Bowen
2:31:56 > 2:32:00getting used to the systems at Wigan, they're pretty potent.
2:32:00 > 2:32:03You talked about cracks in St Helens
2:32:03 > 2:32:05and maybe do you feel that defeat was coming
2:32:05 > 2:32:08because they have run it pretty close, haven't they, in recent weeks?
2:32:08 > 2:32:11Yeah, I think Nathan Brown alluded to it and
2:32:11 > 2:32:13a few of the players probably not playing up to full potential.
2:32:13 > 2:32:15There were a few injuries as well.
2:32:15 > 2:32:17Kyle Amor, who was injured against ourselves,
2:32:17 > 2:32:20and he's a massive player for them. He is probably their best forward.
2:32:20 > 2:32:24The likes of him and other players around him
2:32:24 > 2:32:27really need to do the hard yards and unfortunately he wasn't playing
2:32:27 > 2:32:30and there was no-one really who stepped up to the plate.
2:32:30 > 2:32:32So that is Thursday and Friday taken care of.
2:32:32 > 2:32:35Let's find out what happened on Easter Monday.
2:32:39 > 2:32:40Saints have been stung
2:32:40 > 2:32:44but could Widnes make it back-to-back defeats for the leaders?
2:32:47 > 2:32:50Waiting in the wings, the Rhinos are shooting for the top.
2:32:50 > 2:32:52They are at home to Salford.
2:32:55 > 2:32:57And the best of the rest.
2:32:57 > 2:33:01The highlights of round 10 as the Easter weekend draws to a close.
2:33:09 > 2:33:12Castleford and Warrington enjoyed big derby wins on Friday
2:33:12 > 2:33:15and they met at the Jungle on Monday afternoon.
2:33:15 > 2:33:16Slightly surprisingly,
2:33:16 > 2:33:19there only really looked like one winner in this one, didn't there?
2:33:19 > 2:33:20This is some place to go.
2:33:20 > 2:33:22You have got to bring your A game to try and beat...
2:33:22 > 2:33:24James Clare finishing in the corner there.
2:33:24 > 2:33:26They are on fire here, are Castleford.
2:33:26 > 2:33:29They have been all season, I have watched a number of games
2:33:29 > 2:33:34and it is Michael Monaghan with the charge down here on the sneak kick.
2:33:34 > 2:33:35It gives them parity early in the game.
2:33:35 > 2:33:39From here on in, it is Castleford, Castleford, Castleford.
2:33:39 > 2:33:41Nice small kicks and Shenton finishing.
2:33:41 > 2:33:43He is playing really well, Michael Shenton, at the moment.
2:33:43 > 2:33:46I think Daryl Powell has mentioned the fact that this
2:33:46 > 2:33:48is as good as he has ever seen him play.
2:33:48 > 2:33:52Again they are just probing at the line all the time.
2:33:52 > 2:33:55Great skills and here he is again, finishing off another play.
2:33:55 > 2:33:59So it was all one-way traffic, right from the score of Michael Monaghan.
2:33:59 > 2:34:02Second half, I think they scored, was it 21 unanswered points?
2:34:03 > 2:34:07It just goes to show that... James Clare again finishing in the corner.
2:34:07 > 2:34:10The kind of tries they're scoring always have a lot of ball
2:34:10 > 2:34:12movement as well.
2:34:12 > 2:34:14The atmosphere here is quite intimidating
2:34:14 > 2:34:18and it raises the Castleford players. Again, Hauraki
2:34:18 > 2:34:22getting himself free and finishing the play there.
2:34:22 > 2:34:26What about Warrington? That is a big defeat.
2:34:26 > 2:34:27It is.
2:34:27 > 2:34:29That element of consistency, I suppose,
2:34:29 > 2:34:31is not quite there yet for Warrington.
2:34:31 > 2:34:34We saw them a couple of days ago with a great
2:34:34 > 2:34:37win over a tough Widnes team.
2:34:37 > 2:34:39Again we see Castleford fire at the line.
2:34:39 > 2:34:44Great pass from Shenton, flies onto the ball. 40 points to 6.
2:34:44 > 2:34:46It is just not the kind of consistency, I suppose,
2:34:46 > 2:34:49but everybody will be sharpening their claws for the second
2:34:49 > 2:34:53half of the season, trying to get that kind of consistency.
2:34:53 > 2:34:56Make no mistake, Castleford at home, particularly,
2:34:56 > 2:34:59they have only lost two games anyway the whole of the season.
2:34:59 > 2:35:02But Castleford at home is a tough ask of anybody.
2:35:02 > 2:35:04Two more games from Monday now.
2:35:04 > 2:35:07Let's find out how St Helens reacted to their first defeat of the season.
2:35:07 > 2:35:11They made the short bank holiday journey to Widnes.
2:35:12 > 2:35:15Widnes and St Helens were two sides seeking to atone for bad
2:35:15 > 2:35:17days on Good Friday.
2:35:17 > 2:35:20It was the home side who struck first when Rhys Hanbury raced through
2:35:20 > 2:35:23in support of the break.
2:35:23 > 2:35:25The Vikings were showing no ill effects of their heavy
2:35:25 > 2:35:29defeat to the Wolves, and after much probing they got further reward as
2:35:29 > 2:35:34Cameron Phelps released Samoan Willie Isa to round off a spectacular score.
2:35:34 > 2:35:37However, that try seemed to spark Saints into life,
2:35:37 > 2:35:40and with 24 minutes of the game gone, they finally responded when
2:35:40 > 2:35:43Sia Soliola touched down.
2:35:43 > 2:35:48After Vikings prop Alex Gerrard and front row Saint Mose Masoe
2:35:48 > 2:35:51traded tries, Nathan Brown's visitors reduced the arrears to just
2:35:51 > 2:35:55two points as Paul Wellens landed this converted try with
2:35:55 > 2:35:56half-time looming.
2:35:56 > 2:35:59But the Vikings hit back with force after the break
2:35:59 > 2:36:02and soon after Kevin Brown had laid on the past for Hanbury's
2:36:02 > 2:36:04second try of the game,
2:36:04 > 2:36:07the home side were able to establish a 12-point lead with
2:36:07 > 2:36:10the move of the match, taking in Danny Tickle and Chris Dean,
2:36:10 > 2:36:13leaving the gloss to be added by Paddy Flynn.
2:36:18 > 2:36:20Just past the three-quarter point of the match,
2:36:20 > 2:36:23St Helens provided hope of a comeback when Tommy Makinson
2:36:23 > 2:36:27squeezed in at the corner for one of his trademark tries.
2:36:27 > 2:36:29The gap had now been reduced down to eight.
2:36:29 > 2:36:33But a converted Chris Dean try five minutes later increased
2:36:33 > 2:36:34the margins once again.
2:36:35 > 2:36:39And despite another reply from Lance Hohaia, Macgraff Leuluai
2:36:39 > 2:36:42was able to seal the Vikings' first-ever home
2:36:42 > 2:36:44win over Saints in the Super League era.
2:36:48 > 2:36:51The Catalan Dragons stretched their unbeaten run to four in league
2:36:51 > 2:36:53and cup with this points feast in France.
2:36:53 > 2:36:56They opened the scoring in the fourth minute as Leon Pryce
2:36:56 > 2:36:59and Zeb Taia combined to release Morgan Escare, who set
2:36:59 > 2:37:02the tone for this one with a 50m dash.
2:37:02 > 2:37:04Involved in the first try,
2:37:04 > 2:37:07Leon Pryce would be instrumental in the second nine minutes later.
2:37:07 > 2:37:10His effort, aided by some fortune,
2:37:10 > 2:37:13presented an opportunity for Elliott Whitehead to score.
2:37:15 > 2:37:19Further Dragons damage was done when Michael Oldfield landed a third try.
2:37:19 > 2:37:22But the Robbins would hit back with vigour and their awesome response
2:37:22 > 2:37:27started when Travis Burns probed and Greg Eden prodded his way through.
2:37:27 > 2:37:29Better would soon follow for the resurgent Robins,
2:37:29 > 2:37:33as Jordan Cox added a converted try, and against all of the odds,
2:37:33 > 2:37:36Hull KR would lead at half-time, with Omari Caro's
2:37:36 > 2:37:37six pointer.
2:37:39 > 2:37:43The two sides traded tries shortly after the break. After Taia's
2:37:43 > 2:37:46robust work up the middle, Escare sent Daryl Millard
2:37:46 > 2:37:47in at the corner.
2:37:51 > 2:37:53The Robins hit back with Caro's second try,
2:37:53 > 2:37:56meaning their two-point lead was restored.
2:37:56 > 2:37:58Still with over half an hour left to play.
2:37:58 > 2:38:01But the Dragons then added definitive breathing space,
2:38:01 > 2:38:05Leon Pryce set up a second try for Oldfield before Elliott Whitehead
2:38:05 > 2:38:09and the boot of Thomas Bosc sealed the win.
2:38:14 > 2:38:16Is that one of those ones where every other team went,
2:38:16 > 2:38:19"Phew, thank goodness we didn't have to go to the South of France"?
2:38:19 > 2:38:20Without a doubt.
2:38:20 > 2:38:23It is one of the toughest places to go, if not the toughest.
2:38:23 > 2:38:26You always know that it is going to be a tough ask to play against
2:38:26 > 2:38:31Catalans at home because they seem to just play a lot better there.
2:38:31 > 2:38:36It is a hostile atmosphere and having to go home, it'll be a day after
2:38:36 > 2:38:39playing a game, it is not something I would look forward to.
2:38:39 > 2:38:41Interesting Laurent Frayssinous
2:38:41 > 2:38:43talking afterwards about the pride in his players
2:38:43 > 2:38:44and the performance they put up,
2:38:44 > 2:38:47such a different story to the beginning of the season from them.
2:38:47 > 2:38:49They look a different side, don't they?
2:38:49 > 2:38:51They have dug their way out.
2:38:51 > 2:38:53I saw a couple of games that they just got over the line,
2:38:53 > 2:38:55and they have rolled their sleeves up
2:38:55 > 2:38:57and had to do some really tenacious tackling
2:38:57 > 2:38:59and some simple things, un-Catalan type things,
2:38:59 > 2:39:02to get themselves back on the winning roster.
2:39:02 > 2:39:05Now they are, you can see their confidence flooding back
2:39:05 > 2:39:08and they are moving the ball about, more like the old Catalan.
2:39:08 > 2:39:10Big win for Widnes.
2:39:10 > 2:39:13Yes, St Helens had quite a few players out but a great win,
2:39:13 > 2:39:15particularly given the defeat they had had.
2:39:15 > 2:39:18You still have to put in a massive performance against any
2:39:18 > 2:39:20St Helens team and this is no different.
2:39:20 > 2:39:24Widnes, though, seem to play a lot better at home for some reason.
2:39:24 > 2:39:27They showed it yet again with some great skills,
2:39:27 > 2:39:30some fantastic tries and they deserved the result that they got.
2:39:30 > 2:39:32Saints not quite at the races.
2:39:32 > 2:39:34A few injuries and some young lads coming in,
2:39:34 > 2:39:37but from looking at what the St Helens players are saying, some
2:39:37 > 2:39:40young lads played reasonably well and that as well so that is good to see.
2:39:40 > 2:39:44Defeat for St Helens meant that we would have new Super League
2:39:44 > 2:39:47leaders if Leeds could beat Salford at Headingley.
2:39:47 > 2:39:48Dave Woods was watching.
2:39:49 > 2:39:52Five minutes played and a decent position that Leeds find
2:39:52 > 2:39:54themselves in. Sinfield.
2:39:54 > 2:39:59Achurch has made a half-break and Sinfield in support
2:39:59 > 2:40:02to finish the first score. And Leeds are up and running.
2:40:03 > 2:40:04Tomkins.
2:40:04 > 2:40:08A little hand behind his back but it is Tommy Lee who will try
2:40:08 > 2:40:10and bundle his way through.
2:40:10 > 2:40:13They have shown good character here so far, Salford,
2:40:13 > 2:40:18and Tomkins is off in search of a try and I think he has got it.
2:40:18 > 2:40:22The referee is going to give that, it is just deserts for Salford.
2:40:23 > 2:40:27Howarth. Rangi Chase is going to have a kick here.
2:40:29 > 2:40:31It is well taken by the winger.
2:40:31 > 2:40:34He has a couple of defenders up there as well.
2:40:34 > 2:40:36Briscoe with a terrific break.
2:40:36 > 2:40:40Here's Ben Jones-Bishop, who has found a way through.
2:40:40 > 2:40:43Has support as well from Hardaker should he need it.
2:40:43 > 2:40:46Ben Jones-Bishop is caught, but here comes Hardaker.
2:40:47 > 2:40:52The bounce goes backwards and Leeds stretch their lead.
2:40:53 > 2:40:55Burrow.
2:40:55 > 2:40:57Ben Jones-Bishop, that is lovely footwork
2:40:57 > 2:41:01and here is Joel Moon who has Rob Burrow waiting on the inside,
2:41:01 > 2:41:05and finally, with over an hour played, there is
2:41:05 > 2:41:07daylight between Leeds and Salford.
2:41:09 > 2:41:10Burrow the scorer.
2:41:13 > 2:41:18Chase trying to make something happen here today, with a little chip
2:41:18 > 2:41:21and chase, but it is Hardaker who collects and he immediately
2:41:21 > 2:41:26responds by turning this in to a very dangerous situation.
2:41:26 > 2:41:27Leeds with the break.
2:41:27 > 2:41:31Hardaker, support this time from Ben Jones-Bishop.
2:41:32 > 2:41:35And it is a simple saunter underneath the posts.
2:41:39 > 2:41:43Sinfield. Leeds turning the screw now. Adding all the pressure.
2:41:43 > 2:41:49Ryan Hall, inevitable, scores in the corner. Simply bullied his way over.
2:41:51 > 2:41:55Tomkins. Tommy Lee with another search here.
2:41:55 > 2:41:58They have not lost any of their fighting character here,
2:41:58 > 2:42:00Salford, they are still giving it some.
2:42:00 > 2:42:03But it is going to come down for Briscoe, and Briscoe is away.
2:42:05 > 2:42:08Nobody is going to catch the flyer on the wing.
2:42:08 > 2:42:12And Tom Briscoe caps off an impressive Leeds performance.
2:42:14 > 2:42:16I know you were at this game.
2:42:16 > 2:42:18Quite a harsh score line in the end on Salford.
2:42:18 > 2:42:20- They played better than that. - I think so.
2:42:20 > 2:42:22At half-time it was 6-4, the scoreline,
2:42:22 > 2:42:25probably a fair reflection and they were unlucky not to go in ahead.
2:42:25 > 2:42:27A couple of the bounces of the ball
2:42:27 > 2:42:29and we have seen there the exciting Leeds backfield.
2:42:29 > 2:42:32If you give them any space on the back of your kicks, I think
2:42:32 > 2:42:34we saw three or four tries from that.
2:42:34 > 2:42:37Hardaker, Jones-Bishop, Briscoe.
2:42:37 > 2:42:40Watch out if you give them a free run at you.
2:42:40 > 2:42:42They are going to have to regroup, aren't they, Salford?
2:42:42 > 2:42:45A massive game for them against Widnes in the Challenge Cup.
2:42:45 > 2:42:47Yeah, they will do.
2:42:47 > 2:42:50I think they need to do it pretty quickly as well, it is
2:42:50 > 2:42:52a good opportunity for them to do it this week
2:42:52 > 2:42:56because with all the changes that have been going on...
2:42:56 > 2:42:58SHE LAUGHS
2:42:58 > 2:43:00It makes it very difficult.
2:43:00 > 2:43:02I know, playing against them very recently,
2:43:02 > 2:43:05they probably weren't at the best they could have been
2:43:05 > 2:43:07and to change things even within the game,
2:43:07 > 2:43:10so they need to sort themselves out a little bit but give themselves
2:43:10 > 2:43:12the best opportunity, they have got the players.
2:43:12 > 2:43:15Well, there was a big win on Easter Monday for Wigan.
2:43:15 > 2:43:18The Warriors made seven changes from the team that beat St Helens
2:43:18 > 2:43:21but they were far, far too strong for a young
2:43:21 > 2:43:23and injury-hit Bradford side?
2:43:23 > 2:43:27Yeah, these changes that they made were two exciting players.
2:43:27 > 2:43:31Here's captain fantastic, Sean O'Loughlin, chasing the kick.
2:43:31 > 2:43:34Again showing those little things that he does particularly well.
2:43:34 > 2:43:37Ryan Hampshire here finishes off this particular...
2:43:37 > 2:43:40Great play from the Warriors. They look very strong, they look sharp.
2:43:40 > 2:43:42They came strong
2:43:42 > 2:43:47and three exciting young players in Hampshire, Powell and Williams
2:43:47 > 2:43:50that are playing for them at the moment with these changes.
2:43:50 > 2:43:53They are just moving the ball fantastically well.
2:43:53 > 2:43:58Powell with the try here. So the youngsters coming to the fore.
2:43:58 > 2:44:01John Bateman has been great for them, hasn't he, so far this season?
2:44:01 > 2:44:03He has been terrific, he has got better and better.
2:44:03 > 2:44:05I watched him early in the season for Wigan at Castleford,
2:44:05 > 2:44:07he wasn't quite as good, but his last few games have been
2:44:07 > 2:44:10probably what Shaun would expect him to be.
2:44:10 > 2:44:14Once they get into your back field they are just too strong.
2:44:14 > 2:44:18George Williams there finishing off a play.
2:44:18 > 2:44:19How tough is this for Bradford?
2:44:19 > 2:44:23Well, it was tough, and people will be looking at the scoreline
2:44:23 > 2:44:26and thinking, "Oh, my goodness." But these things can happen.
2:44:26 > 2:44:28Certainly at Easter, he made a lot of changes.
2:44:28 > 2:44:31Time is running out for them in respect of what
2:44:31 > 2:44:33they have to do and when they have to do it.
2:44:33 > 2:44:35I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water,
2:44:35 > 2:44:38I would throw that particular one in the bin, this game,
2:44:38 > 2:44:41and get on with the job at hand that they have got.
2:44:41 > 2:44:44Another one-sided game over at Hull with London.
2:44:44 > 2:44:46Yeah, Hull very impressive, though.
2:44:46 > 2:44:50What has impressed me so far this season is a couple of standout
2:44:50 > 2:44:53players for Hull in Jamie Shaul and Jordan Rankin.
2:44:53 > 2:44:56I think they have been two of the better players within the team
2:44:56 > 2:44:57and two massive highlights.
2:44:57 > 2:45:00But the old fella in the middle, Gaz Ellis, great footwork,
2:45:00 > 2:45:01off-load and back on the inside.
2:45:01 > 2:45:04It is Rankin that has a massive turn of pace,
2:45:04 > 2:45:07he absolutely skinned me in the game at their place.
2:45:07 > 2:45:10I couldn't believe how quick he was and I was determined to get him
2:45:10 > 2:45:12but could get nowhere near him.
2:45:12 > 2:45:16And also Jacob Miller, who was a bit of a strange signing.
2:45:16 > 2:45:21And he didn't get off to the best of starts, in and out of the team,
2:45:21 > 2:45:24but he has got back into the side and is doing really well
2:45:24 > 2:45:26and scoring another try there.
2:45:26 > 2:45:29And then back again with Jamie Shaul, a great off-load,
2:45:29 > 2:45:31back on the inside.
2:45:31 > 2:45:35Westerman there, slight footwork, off-load again,
2:45:35 > 2:45:38breaking tackles and he just pushes in support with a great kick
2:45:38 > 2:45:40and he is just wanting that bounce.
2:45:40 > 2:45:42It just sits up for him, fantastic try.
2:45:42 > 2:45:48And then to finish it off in fine style, it's Jordan Rankin yet again.
2:45:48 > 2:45:50So these two players have just been fantastic for me for Hull.
2:45:50 > 2:45:53I think you rounded that one up very well.
2:45:53 > 2:45:56I don't even need to ask any questions!
2:45:56 > 2:45:58Finally, let's see how Huddersfield
2:45:58 > 2:46:00and Eorl here got on against Wakefield.
2:46:00 > 2:46:03Remember the Giants were looking to complete a perfect Easter.
2:46:03 > 2:46:05Andy Giddings saw this one.
2:46:06 > 2:46:09Grix moves in at dummy half.
2:46:09 > 2:46:12Now Brough sending the high kick into the air.
2:46:12 > 2:46:14The Giants pile forward.
2:46:14 > 2:46:19Lawrence has latched onto the ball. The kick out wide, unconventional.
2:46:19 > 2:46:24They must score, they have scored. And Jodie Broughton touches down.
2:46:26 > 2:46:31The Wildcats looking to respond here with Siejka instrumental.
2:46:31 > 2:46:34Siejka again, teasing the Giants' line.
2:46:34 > 2:46:35It is pulled back here
2:46:35 > 2:46:39and Jarrod Sammut is on hand for the Wildcats' first score.
2:46:40 > 2:46:42Lunt, what can he do from here?
2:46:42 > 2:46:45He can bring in Lawrence, who will score!
2:46:47 > 2:46:49Riley. Oh, the ball has gone to ground.
2:46:49 > 2:46:51Sammut picks the ball up here, he has gone for a show and go.
2:46:51 > 2:46:54He won't get there, Walshaw might.
2:46:55 > 2:46:57A decision here for the match officials.
2:46:59 > 2:47:02Robert Hicks goes to consult with his touch judge.
2:47:02 > 2:47:06Will this be a Wildcats score? Yes, it will.
2:47:08 > 2:47:11Godinet now, looking for runners.
2:47:11 > 2:47:13There are plenty of them here.
2:47:13 > 2:47:15But the ball has been spilled, picked up by Wardle
2:47:15 > 2:47:20and the Giants can walk this one in. And Ukuma Ta'ai
2:47:20 > 2:47:23will touch down and there is breathing space.
2:47:25 > 2:47:31Godinet again. Sykes. And an interception.
2:47:31 > 2:47:33And the Giants might be away again.
2:47:33 > 2:47:38And it is Leroy Cudjoe, just before half-time and the gap is widening.
2:47:42 > 2:47:45Lunt, more Giants pressure here. To Brough. On to Chan.
2:47:46 > 2:47:49Raw power takes Jason Chan over the line.
2:47:51 > 2:47:54McShane whipping the ball onto Sammut,
2:47:54 > 2:47:58who has support from Molloy who will roll over.
2:48:00 > 2:48:03Lunt here, drops his shoulder, off he goes.
2:48:03 > 2:48:07Will get the ball down and the Giants get their first home
2:48:07 > 2:48:08win of the season.
2:48:11 > 2:48:13A fabulous quote from Paul Anderson afterwards.
2:48:13 > 2:48:16"The positive is it is over, it was a boring game, wasn't it?"
2:48:16 > 2:48:18But I am sure you're delighted to get the win.
2:48:18 > 2:48:21Yeah, it was a strange one to be in the changing rooms after.
2:48:21 > 2:48:25Paul Anderson obviously full of praise for how we played!
2:48:25 > 2:48:28We knew that it wasn't our best performance
2:48:28 > 2:48:30and it was very tough going into that game.
2:48:30 > 2:48:32I felt pretty fresh myself going into it
2:48:32 > 2:48:35and after about five minutes my legs felt like jelly.
2:48:35 > 2:48:38So we knew that we had been in a tough game,
2:48:38 > 2:48:42especially against Wakefield who were searching for another win.
2:48:42 > 2:48:45We made it hard for ourselves at times but we came through
2:48:45 > 2:48:48the other side and are happy to get four points over Easter.
2:48:48 > 2:48:50Absolutely, to get back-to-back wins given the run you have
2:48:50 > 2:48:52had must be a huge relief?
2:48:52 > 2:48:54Yeah, we're just wanting to grow in confidence
2:48:54 > 2:48:56a little bit and gain a little bit of momentum.
2:48:56 > 2:48:58We have started to do that. We know that we need to improve.
2:48:58 > 2:49:00Our first game against Salford,
2:49:00 > 2:49:02a lot better than what we played today.
2:49:02 > 2:49:03Finally got it out the way.
2:49:03 > 2:49:05So a good Easter for Huddersfield.
2:49:05 > 2:49:07Let's see where their two wins leave them
2:49:07 > 2:49:11and everybody else in the First Utility Super League table.
2:49:13 > 2:49:16Leeds take over at the top, with Castleford moving up to second.
2:49:16 > 2:49:18The Tigers are level on points with St Helens.
2:49:18 > 2:49:20Wigan and Widnes have a game in hand,
2:49:20 > 2:49:23Bradford remain two points adrift at the bottom.
2:49:24 > 2:49:27And after everybody has got their breath back, it is
2:49:27 > 2:49:29back to the Challenge Cup this weekend.
2:49:29 > 2:49:32Leeds against St Helens is live on BBC One from
2:49:32 > 2:49:33two o'clock on Saturday,
2:49:33 > 2:49:35and the Super League Show will be here next Monday
2:49:35 > 2:49:40at 11.55, with highlights from all eight of the fifth round matches.
2:49:41 > 2:49:44We are all going to be at Leeds versus Saints.
2:49:44 > 2:49:47What is going to be the key for the team that wins that?
2:49:47 > 2:49:49I think personally it is whoever controls the ball,
2:49:49 > 2:49:51and we know they have got two really good teams,
2:49:51 > 2:49:54especially Leeds the way they are playing at the moment.
2:49:54 > 2:49:55Their performances have been fantastic.
2:49:55 > 2:49:58Saints not quite at the races, as we have said before,
2:49:58 > 2:50:02- but it all goes out the window at the weekend.- Can you pick a winner?
2:50:02 > 2:50:05I slightly disagree with the big man here.
2:50:05 > 2:50:07I think it is the team that uses the ball the best.
2:50:07 > 2:50:09I think percentages will go out the window
2:50:09 > 2:50:11and who takes their opportunities the most
2:50:11 > 2:50:15and probably kicks the better will be the winners.
2:50:15 > 2:50:17Leeds at home will be difficult to dislodge
2:50:17 > 2:50:20but I think Saints after a couple of losses...
2:50:20 > 2:50:23Just looking at one other game, Salford-Widnes.
2:50:23 > 2:50:25- How big a game is it for Salford? - Huge.
2:50:25 > 2:50:29Chance of a good Challenge Cup run and Widnes at home which
2:50:29 > 2:50:33are certainly no gimmes because they have had a terrific win today.
2:50:34 > 2:50:36And I think they will be fired up
2:50:36 > 2:50:37but I think Salford have the arsenal.
2:50:37 > 2:50:41It promises to be a great weekend. That is it for this week.
2:50:41 > 2:50:43My thanks to Brian and particularly Eorl, given he has played today.
2:50:43 > 2:50:47We will see you at 11.55 next week with the Challenge Cup highlights.
2:50:47 > 2:50:48Until then, goodbye.
