:01:47. > :01:50.Their opponents here, Castleford, your commentator, Dave Woods.
:01:51. > :01:53.Well, they have come in great numbers and they have come in high
:01:54. > :01:58.spirits from both clubs for this, high expectations for this game,
:01:59. > :02:01.and it could be one of the matches of the weekend.
:02:02. > :02:04.He is up from dummy half, and he is shown by Millington.
:02:05. > :02:07.Not bought by Warrington, but Castleford are beginning to make
:02:08. > :02:17.Stefan Ratchford away, and looking for support,
:02:18. > :02:20.and suddenly realises he doesn't need it.
:02:21. > :02:22.Opening try after only three minutes.
:02:23. > :02:31.Well, they are having a look again here.

:02:35. > :02:48.They are having a look at the contact in back play.
:02:49. > :02:51.Roberts with the pass and if there was any contact,
:02:52. > :02:53.you would have thought it was Castleford running
:02:54. > :02:54.into Warrington, rather than vice versa.
:02:55. > :03:01.And once it safely settled into the hands of Stefan Ratchford,
:03:02. > :03:12.was there any impediment from Ormsby?
:03:13. > :03:14.They might be investigating that as well.
:03:15. > :03:32.Waiting up here for the dummy run coming in.
:03:33. > :03:37.He has made a habit over the years of scoring from that
:03:38. > :03:45.Swift, by Gidley, and reach by Kurt Gidley to score a second
:03:46. > :04:01.Warrington looked determined and Gidley was certainly determined.
:04:02. > :04:06.The defence is stern at the moment.
:04:07. > :04:16.The star of that recent Cup victory over Salford and Gale gets
:04:17. > :04:29.Wonderful step by Russell and support to his left by Ben Currie.
:04:30. > :04:33.And Currie will cover the distance to score.
:04:34. > :04:45.Ben Currie will put his name in lights.
:04:46. > :04:48.But it is Mattie Russell who deserves all the plaudits.
:04:49. > :04:51.Ten metres from his own line when he started it, and close enough
:04:52. > :04:56.to the Castleford line when he finally gave the ball away.
:04:57. > :05:03.Then it was a walk in for Ben Currie.
:05:04. > :05:14.Back to the inside, and Gale is going to go higher here.
:05:15. > :05:17.It is a high one, it is taken superbly well by Crooks.
:05:18. > :05:18.Off-loaded, Castleford keeping it alive.
:05:19. > :05:39.They have been second best for most of this first half.
:05:40. > :05:41.But they have put themselves back in contention six minutes
:05:42. > :05:50.Real air of desperation from these players.
:05:51. > :05:54.One more tackle is all that Warrington needed.
:05:55. > :06:09.Luke Dorn with the dummy and a plunge for the line.
:06:10. > :06:15.Real sense of urgency for the Tigers in these closing moments
:06:16. > :06:21.Here is Junior Moors with what is becoming
:06:22. > :06:25.a very distinguished handoff, these days.
:06:26. > :06:26.The off-loaded untidy, but picked up.
:06:27. > :06:38.It's two tries in four minutes for Castleford.
:06:39. > :06:41.And having looked down and out not that long ago,
:06:42. > :07:01.Gale, inevitably, will put the ball high in the air.
:07:02. > :07:06.That's a wonderful take by Denny Solomona.
:07:07. > :07:17.But the first cause, I think, is a try for Castleford.
:07:18. > :07:22.We are going to have a look again here.
:07:23. > :07:29.They will have to find very good reason not to give this.
:07:30. > :07:32.I think Solomona has grounded that safely.
:07:33. > :07:44.What a comeback they have set up now.
:07:45. > :07:52.Webster puts the head down and goes for the corner.
:07:53. > :07:55.Good recovery from the Warrington defence.
:07:56. > :07:58.Great recovery by Castleford, though.
:07:59. > :08:09.Mike McMeeken is up there, Mike McMeeken with the ball in one
:08:10. > :08:14.hand, and Mike McMeeken, well, he is in fabulous form this season,
:08:15. > :08:16.the back row forward, and a try that edges
:08:17. > :08:35.Solomona has got the pace and goes on the outside.
:08:36. > :08:50.The Castleford Tigers are looking good for the win now.
:08:51. > :09:02.Complaints coming in from Ashton Sims, but it will be a penalty.
:09:03. > :09:06.What is significant here is that, if Luke Gale kicks this, it is a 3-
:09:07. > :09:22.Little hand off again by the irrepressible
:09:23. > :09:41.They are all smiles, and they deserve to be.
:09:42. > :09:43.They have taken Warrington apart in the second half,

:09:46. > :09:47.Moors the destroyer and Dorn the finisher.
:09:48. > :09:50.Can't stop scoring since his return and Castleford on their way
:09:51. > :10:03.That was just an outstanding second-half from us,
:10:04. > :10:07.Against a pretty good team, we thought we did a really good job.
:10:08. > :10:10.Our players can be really proud of themselves.
:10:11. > :10:14.We were able to flip again from 14-0 to them going unanswered in terms
:10:15. > :10:16.of points the rest of the game was an excellent performance.
:10:17. > :10:21.I thought we were dominating in terms of the way we were playing,
:10:22. > :10:24.the speed of it, I just don't think we exploited it enough
:10:25. > :10:32.With the opportunities that we created.
:10:33. > :10:36.We were hoping that we would not end up rueing that, and we did.
:10:37. > :10:39.We gave up some of that momentum just before half-time,
:10:40. > :10:42.and we failed to get it back in the second half.
:10:43. > :10:44.Really disappointed with that second-half performance.
:10:45. > :10:47.The confidence in terms of winning games like this where you are under
:10:48. > :10:49.the pump, there is a team battering away at you,
:10:50. > :10:53.and you are hanging in, I just think we have got to be better,
:10:54. > :10:55.bit more consistent across games, but I said last week
:10:56. > :11:01.after we beat Leeds, this team can do anything it wants,
:11:02. > :11:06.So there's a few attitude things that we need to keep working on,
:11:07. > :11:08.but when we are on, we are a good side.
:11:09. > :11:11.There were two other games on Saturday opening the weekend,
:11:12. > :11:13.Widnes against Salford and Super League's bottom side,
:11:14. > :11:32.He's got a bit of space to run into now.
:11:33. > :11:34.Kallum Watkins will bend away and touch down for the Rhinos.
:11:35. > :11:37.The whistle blows, and Leeds on the board.

:12:17. > :12:22.Tomkins sets off towards that left-hand
:12:23. > :12:25.Still a danger, and it's George Williams.
:12:26. > :12:35.Gains a try, and Wigan are streaking clear.
:12:36. > :12:50.Got the ball down, and Wigan are flying.
:12:51. > :12:59.Leeds scrambling, desperate at the moment.
:13:00. > :13:11.More agony for Leeds, and the try is awarded.
:13:12. > :13:13.Ben Flower enjoying his Magic Weekend.
:13:14. > :13:31.A rare raid on this Wigan line as Achurch
:13:32. > :13:33.tries to shrug off the tackle from Williams.
:13:34. > :13:35.He might get there now, Mitch Achurch.
:13:36. > :13:38.Something for those Leeds Rhinos fans to cheer.
:13:39. > :13:47.Down the left-hand side, Oliver Gildart.
:13:48. > :13:50.A dagger in the heart for the Rhinos.
:13:51. > :14:01.Three times they have played Leeds here.
:14:02. > :14:03.Three times they have one, they are about to cap a
:14:04. > :14:08.Steaming through a gap, over on that left-hand side.
:14:09. > :14:18.They are back to winning ways today, and Sarginson
:14:19. > :14:22.Wiggin keeping up the pace at the top.
:14:23. > :14:31.What I said to the players was, it was a poor performance, but
:14:32. > :14:33.the way that they bounced back was outstanding.
:14:34. > :14:35.I am very, very happy with how they responded.
:14:36. > :14:37.The first 20 of the first half and the first
:14:38. > :14:40.20 of the second, I thought we performed.
:14:41. > :14:46.And we got a bit bored with it, but all credit to Leeds.
:14:47. > :14:51.When we warmed up, I could hear Leeds, very, very boisterous.
:14:52. > :14:53.They have still got lots of spirit in that club.
:14:54. > :14:59.They've got a competitive coach, a competitive team.
:15:00. > :15:01.They get a fewer numbered back, they'll be good.
:15:02. > :15:04.What's it like to be back here in front of a huge crowd and
:15:05. > :15:11.Most of the players like myself embrace it, the same as the fans do.
:15:12. > :15:14.It's an amazing event to have all the teams on one field
:15:15. > :15:19.And, you know, hopefully it keeps going and this venue,
:15:20. > :15:24.What do you say to the players after a game like that?
:15:25. > :15:28.Some harsh...information, probably that we don't want
:15:29. > :15:37.and we've got to come in one day and go again.
:15:38. > :15:40.and we've got to come in Monday and go again.
:15:41. > :15:44.Each week we tip our guts into prep, go through everything and I don't
:15:45. > :15:46.have any issues with our prepping or with the players,
:15:47. > :15:50.the effort that they're putting in, and we get to a stage in the week
:15:51. > :15:53.where we're in good shape, we believe we're going to win
:15:54. > :15:55.and we're going to give this game a go and well,
:15:56. > :15:59.Being in the dressing room with the blokes,
:16:00. > :16:01.they've tipped their guts into it whether you've got the result
:16:02. > :16:03.or not, but there's something happened in that.
:16:04. > :16:07.Something in that that I want to be part of that and I want to continue
:16:08. > :16:11.Salford had lost their previous two games going into this one
:16:12. > :16:15.Some great work-out to the right led to this bounce out of a tackle
:16:16. > :16:18.to give the pass to score the opening try of the game.
:16:19. > :16:21.But Widnes went on to have the better of the first half,
:16:22. > :16:23.with the fit-again Kevin Brown giving his team-mate
:16:24. > :16:26.The dummy was enough to create the gap.
:16:27. > :16:29.Widnes had two more tries denied by the video referee before
:16:30. > :16:31.getting their second of the game, when Chris Bridge was on the end
:16:32. > :16:36.Rhys Hanbury added the penalty before the break and Widnes
:16:37. > :16:41.After half-time, Salford clearly meant business,
:16:42. > :16:45.and after pressurising the Widnes defence for the next 15 minutes,
:16:46. > :16:47.they finally got their rewards, with some lovely passing
:16:48. > :16:49.to get at the corner, Gareth O'Brien's conversion bringing
:16:50. > :16:55.They continued the pressure and when Michael Dobson's high kick
:16:56. > :16:57.was initially taken and got away by Robert,
:16:58. > :17:02.Gareth O'Brien added a penalty for Salford before the final whistle
:17:03. > :17:04.to give them the win and condemn Widnes to their eighth
:17:05. > :17:12.We've got a real good belief in the group and I think the group
:17:13. > :17:15.are better than what they actually believe they are, so we need that
:17:16. > :17:17.to kind of come forward with the confidence.
:17:18. > :17:20.Hopefully all these wins will help with that going forward.
:17:21. > :17:22.They turned that first half into points, turned that pressure
:17:23. > :17:25.into points and we've come out of this with a victory,
:17:26. > :17:29.We were pretty confident going first half at their line but we just
:17:30. > :17:31.couldn't turn that confidence and determination into points,
:17:32. > :17:36.So much swirling around off the pitch
:17:37. > :17:41.How important for you and the players to stick to doing
:17:42. > :17:44.what you do, and do your talking on the pitch?
:17:45. > :17:47.We need to just keep real stable on the pitch.
:17:48. > :17:49.See if we can get some real consistency.
:17:50. > :17:54.And let everyone else worry about what is going on off the
:17:55. > :17:58.And we will just focus on the rugby and go forward with that.
:17:59. > :18:00.Joining me is the interim general manager of Super League, Mark
:18:01. > :18:06.We hope that Magic Weekend would be coming back
:18:07. > :18:12.Do you think there is still a place for Magic Weekend as
:18:13. > :18:15.We will sit down after this weekend and
:18:16. > :18:18.look at all the things that we look at, for feedback.
:18:19. > :18:22.We speak to the clubs, we speak to the players.
:18:23. > :18:25.stakeholders, but the early indications are that the 10th
:18:26. > :18:26.edition is bigger and better than ever.
:18:27. > :18:29.So why would we take it out of the calendar?
:18:30. > :18:32.It has been a tough week for the Rugby football league,
:18:33. > :18:49.with Salford's owner calling for a breakaway of Super League,
:18:50. > :18:51.saying that the RFL isn't fit for purpose.
:18:52. > :18:56.Every one of our Super League chairman has a right to voice their
:18:57. > :18:59.We do have the right channels and governance structures
:19:00. > :19:02.That is being dealt with by Nigel as and
:19:03. > :19:04.Brian, as chairman, rather than by myself.
:19:05. > :19:07.Would it have been better to keep it all in house?
:19:08. > :19:12.We are just concentrating on Magic and at the moment all the signs are
:19:13. > :19:15.that we have delivered a great Magic, so we are really happy with
:19:16. > :19:20.Do you think Super League should be a separate entity?
:19:21. > :19:22.It is not really for me to discuss that.
:19:23. > :19:24.It is being dealt with by people above me.
:19:25. > :19:29.I'm two weeks into the job, working on
:19:30. > :19:31.Early pressure for Catalan, as they come down this
:19:32. > :19:45.And he's too big and too strong for Wakefield.
:19:46. > :19:49.Well, Horo makes a clean connection there, for me.
:19:50. > :20:10.More early pressure from this Catalans side.
:20:11. > :20:12.And again they target Wakefield's left.
:20:13. > :20:14.And that's really good hands to put Judy Broughton
:20:15. > :20:27.He's transferred that to St James' Park.
:20:28. > :20:34.Stewart involved, and Jodie Broughton,
:20:35. > :20:41.Now towards this right side, great hands.
:20:42. > :20:43.They will hold it up this time.
:20:44. > :20:57.But again, Chris Campbell will make sure.
:20:58. > :20:59.Wakefield waited for that ball to go dead.
:21:00. > :21:13.Catalans running away with this game.
:21:14. > :21:21.He will try to pop it up to Jones-Bishop.
:21:22. > :21:43.Credit to Liam Finn for his presence of mind as Catalans were
:21:44. > :22:02.He had the pace, he had the skill and kept himself in touch. Whitfield
:22:03. > :22:07.on the ball. Buoyed by that triumph. He hoists the kick on the last. It
:22:08. > :22:12.is going to hang in the air for some time. Miller will bloom it down the
:22:13. > :22:24.right-hand side. Bounces into those hands. James Bishop! He has a
:22:25. > :22:31.second! Right back in the game. Or are they? Chris Campbell grabs
:22:32. > :22:39.again. Goes to the screen. Goes for the decision of try. What a finish!
:22:40. > :22:46.Bishop! Sublime! And his reward is another four points on the board.
:22:47. > :22:52.Well, look at that. Started the move, gets back into it. And he just
:22:53. > :22:58.waited and time to that pass. Super acrobatics from Bishop.
:22:59. > :23:07.In the groove now, Wakefield, as Miller picks it up, skirts the line,
:23:08. > :23:17.turns away. Onto the captain. Stopped in his tracks. Goes again!
:23:18. > :23:26.Bashes his way across! No problem for Chris Campbell this time! Hit
:23:27. > :23:29.the straps, hit the front! Miller with the short ball. They weren't
:23:30. > :23:46.going to stop him there. Such a dangerous arm with the ball.
:23:47. > :24:03.Carney likewise. All over the park. He will muscle his way in. Then back
:24:04. > :24:07.again. On the fringes. The Australian connection, Stuart
:24:08. > :24:14.and Carney. Then the Frenchman. The man from Perth in yon.
:24:15. > :24:31.Down the right-hand side they move it. A quick ball.
:24:32. > :24:35.WHISTLE BLOWS Might just have seen this one call
:24:36. > :24:42.away. At the back and then a great put out from Carney. Had the power
:24:43. > :24:48.to finish. A weight of this right-hand side again. Real ebb and
:24:49. > :25:00.flow. -- a way to this right-hand side. A flat ball. Wakefield not
:25:01. > :25:05.giving up on this one at all. Against its former club! And they
:25:06. > :25:14.are delighted! Chris Campbell awards the try. They keep and keep on
:25:15. > :25:24.coming and the Frenchman scores against his former team. Well,
:25:25. > :25:36.again, power at the line, no chance. Brushed aside. In delight. Catalan.
:25:37. > :25:43.This game so finely poised and that could be so crucial. Mixed group.
:25:44. > :25:49.Simon has given away a penalty here, a kickable penalty at that. And with
:25:50. > :25:56.minutes remaining. This could be the turning point in this game. A penny
:25:57. > :26:00.for Chris Chester's thoughts and a penny for Pat Richards' thoughts as
:26:01. > :26:10.he lines up the kick... It struck the frame of the post! Back out! And
:26:11. > :26:14.Wakefield have been let off here! It remains 24 points apiece as we close
:26:15. > :26:23.in. As Richards gets a clean connection... That is the rugby gods
:26:24. > :26:30.smiling down on Wakefield. Into the final few moments here. Just a
:26:31. > :26:35.couple of minutes remaining. This is the last four Wakefield. Not very
:26:36. > :26:42.good from there, is he? It is going to hang, it is going to crawl, it is
:26:43. > :26:51.going to clip over! Jacob Miller with a 50 metre drop goal! He gave
:26:52. > :27:00.it some! Swung the boot! And it had the legs, and Wakefield have made a
:27:01. > :27:05.bit of Magic Weekend history. That will go down in football. Jacob
:27:06. > :27:12.Miller! Wakefield so close now. As the drop-kick goes down. Catalan
:27:13. > :27:17.won't have time to respond here, surely? As the hooter goes. Chris
:27:18. > :27:27.Campbell blows the whistle and Wakefield players jump for joy. What
:27:28. > :27:31.a finish! Nine wins from the last ten, Chris Chester with the work.
:27:32. > :27:40.Look at the fans! They will issue this! -- relishing. Catalan could
:27:41. > :27:43.have climbed to the top of the table even if temporarily but they missed
:27:44. > :27:53.the opportunity and Jacob Miller, the man on the spot, a 50 metre drop
:27:54. > :27:56.goal. And as he exchanges hugs with his opposite number, the two sixes
:27:57. > :28:01.so influential. Those fans can dream.
:28:02. > :28:07.This team just keeps on rolling forward? Gas. We weren't very good
:28:08. > :28:12.in certain parts of the game. -- yeah. But we found a way to win
:28:13. > :28:16.today and we came back not just once but twice, and then he comes up with
:28:17. > :28:21.the special player at the end to win us the game. Usually that would go
:28:22. > :28:30.to thin but it came to me and I just thought I would have a go and got a
:28:31. > :28:32.bit lucky. We need to keep on top performance and moving forward
:28:33. > :28:43.because we've done a good job to last eight, nine weeks and we lost
:28:44. > :28:46.tonight that we are a poor team. We've got a good squad, a good team
:28:47. > :28:51.spirit and the belief in the group is fantastic and it was evident
:28:52. > :28:56.again today. One of the highlights of the last 12 months was Lizzie
:28:57. > :29:00.Jones singing Abide With Me to thank the Rugby League community for their
:29:01. > :29:05.support after her husband, Danny, died. She would be singing it this
:29:06. > :29:10.year but she had part of a panel judging a fan choir as we live
:29:11. > :29:15.together with Songs Of Praise for a very special experience. What have
:29:16. > :29:20.people got to do? What are we looking for? We are looking for a 32
:29:21. > :29:25.piece choir. Normal, everyday people who deserve to sing at Wembley. They
:29:26. > :29:29.need to write in and let us know their stories. Let us know why they
:29:30. > :29:33.would like to be part of that choir. And be part of such a wonderful
:29:34. > :29:38.experience. And we should stress, they don't have to be able to sing
:29:39. > :29:42.like you, do they? They don't have to be able to sing. Just basically
:29:43. > :29:48.tell us your story and tell us why and hopefully come along and have a
:29:49. > :29:50.fantastic day like I did. And what is the experience like? What will be
:29:51. > :30:00.in store for them? It is one of the most special things
:30:01. > :30:04.anyone can do in their lives. For me, for personal reasons, I wonder
:30:05. > :30:09.that day. It is just a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If
:30:10. > :30:15.you think that somebody you know deserves to do that, you can write
:30:16. > :30:18.in. I would love to meet them. How special for you to be involved
:30:19. > :30:23.again. The Rugby League have been amazing.
:30:24. > :30:29.To be part of Wembley again, I love meeting people who deserve to do
:30:30. > :30:36.things like that. I cannot wait to meet these incredible people. Good
:30:37. > :30:40.luck with the judging. If you do get into that choir, you will be live on
:30:41. > :30:43.the BBC ahead of the Challenge Cup final. This is how he can get
:30:44. > :30:49.involved. Remember, we're looking for unusual or uplifting stories
:30:50. > :30:52.about supporting your club and why you deserve a place representing
:30:53. > :31:02.your team in the Rugby League Challenge Cup choir.
:31:03. > :31:09.We were saddened this week to hear the death of Ray Lakeland who
:31:10. > :31:12.started his career and BBC in Newcastle and then on to be a
:31:13. > :31:15.pioneering producer in the early days of Rugby League coverage on the
:31:16. > :31:20.BBC. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. The action
:31:21. > :31:27.on Sunday continued with St Helens against Huddersfield. There have
:31:28. > :31:30.been a province in the Huddersfield camp recently and this performance
:31:31. > :31:34.backs that up. It was 20 minutes before the deadlock was broken with
:31:35. > :31:39.Jermaine McGillvary getting the first try after a pass from Leroy
:31:40. > :31:44.Cudjoe. The next point came from an error from St Helens, after eight
:31:45. > :31:54.towering kick was taken safely by Jack Owens near to his own line. The
:31:55. > :32:01.fumble by debutant Kelvin Wellington let the Giants in again. The next
:32:02. > :32:06.try was a real crowd pleaser. From inside a row in half, Huddersfield
:32:07. > :32:09.watched an attack. An overlap the voting Jake Collar made the break
:32:10. > :32:10.before off-loading to Aaron Murphy who sent in the supporting Johnny
:32:11. > :32:24.Ellis. By now, Huddersfield were 16-0 up
:32:25. > :32:31.before St Helens got some points on the board. Adam Smith got the ball
:32:32. > :32:34.back inside to put Maggie Dawson in. But any chance of a Saints comeback
:32:35. > :32:37.was thrown into doubt after the start of the second half. A move
:32:38. > :32:42.reminiscent of St Helens at their best opened up Huddersfield 's lead
:32:43. > :32:46.to 16 points. The ball was moved to the left and then the right and
:32:47. > :32:50.through 13 pairs of hands before ending up with Leroy Cudjoe again
:32:51. > :32:58.being the provider for Jermaine McGillvary to crash in at the
:32:59. > :33:05.corner. Danny Brough converted. The next try was not quite so
:33:06. > :33:10.spectacular. Kyle Wood the provider. Then came one of the most bizarre
:33:11. > :33:16.tries you will ever see. The past on Danny Brott met the feed of Jake
:33:17. > :33:22.Connor. The air and Aaron Murphy went in at the corner. By now,
:33:23. > :33:28.Huddersfield led 34-6 but Saints hit a purple patch with three tries in
:33:29. > :33:32.12 minutes, the first from Jack Owens who went in at the corner
:33:33. > :33:41.flag. Then Luke Walsh launched a high hanging kick. The ball was
:33:42. > :33:48.spilled ten metres out. The deficit was reduced to 18. The third try
:33:49. > :33:54.came after another long ball out wide from Walshe, allowing Jordan
:33:55. > :33:57.Turner to collect on the bounce and off-load. That launched a move that
:33:58. > :34:10.came back to the middle of the pitch again. A well timed pass led to St
:34:11. > :34:19.Helens' fourth try of the game. Huddersfield were not done. Captain
:34:20. > :34:22.Ryan Hinchcliffe went straight in. Then another move that started
:34:23. > :34:29.inside the ring half ended with Leroy Cudjoe I joining the defence
:34:30. > :34:33.and throwing a well timed pass for Kyle Wood to complete. Danny Brough
:34:34. > :34:36.added a goal to complete their comrades of wind. It was
:34:37. > :34:44.Huddersfield 's third win in eight games and moves them two points
:34:45. > :34:51.clear of the bottom of the table. I thought we had a patient performance
:34:52. > :34:55.out there today. Saints, early on in the game, it was a bit of an arm
:34:56. > :34:59.wrestle and we rode our luck at times but it shows how good a team
:35:00. > :35:03.we are we can come away and get a result, good St Helens team. We
:35:04. > :35:09.scored 48 points, which I'm happy about. We still have some work to
:35:10. > :35:15.do. We are still two points behind. Just behind those top four clubs. We
:35:16. > :35:20.have the next three weeks, we play against the top three sides in the
:35:21. > :35:23.competition. And it could be totally different, but we need to start
:35:24. > :35:29.performing a lot better and more consistently. Throughout the 80
:35:30. > :35:31.minutes. I do not believe that as a club and a team we have put an 80
:35:32. > :35:37.minute performance together. Sometimes we are good in attack and
:35:38. > :35:42.not good in defence and the other way around sometimes but we have a
:35:43. > :35:47.long way to go. The final match of the weekend is the Hull derby. The
:35:48. > :35:52.black and whites recorded victory in the first one. Watching the rematch
:35:53. > :35:59.is Dave Woods. The Magic Weekend has been keen -- has been kind to Hull
:36:00. > :36:04.so far. A win today and they go top of the Super League, clear by two
:36:05. > :36:11.points. But those in red and white will hope to stymie those ambitions.
:36:12. > :36:17.It is a high kick, and my follower has picked the pockets of two Hull
:36:18. > :36:28.KR players to score in this opening six minutes. -- Fonua. The ball away
:36:29. > :36:33.to Kelly. Did not quite stick where he was hoping it would. A scramble
:36:34. > :36:46.on the floor. Hull have come up with possession. Dancing steps by Marc
:36:47. > :36:50.Sneyd. He was called in the end. It is getting a little bit messy again
:36:51. > :36:55.here. You would always anticipate emotions would be high when these
:36:56. > :37:02.two come up against each other, and this is not disappointing in that
:37:03. > :37:07.respect. Richard Silverwood is the man who will aim to sort all of this
:37:08. > :37:15.out, but there is lots of pushing and shoving going on. There was a
:37:16. > :37:22.bit of bite to this one. It was the caller tackle on Mark Sneyd that set
:37:23. > :37:32.things. He was clearly unhappy with his treatment from the Australian. A
:37:33. > :37:40.big effort forward by Watts, who has got the ball away to Danny Houghton.
:37:41. > :37:46.He launches a Hull attack. It is a penalty for Hull. The referee has
:37:47. > :38:00.seen something of the ball. -- off the ball. You can see there are that
:38:01. > :38:08.falling through, Lunt makes a tackle that will earn him ten minutes in
:38:09. > :38:19.the sin-bin. Mark Sneyd. Hull moving it wide. Quick hands from Fonua. And
:38:20. > :38:23.the winger scores, a sweeping move. They are calling for the video
:38:24. > :38:31.referee, but Richard Silverwood is confident enough to give it. Kelly.
:38:32. > :38:40.Hull just searching the fringes again. Kelly comes dancing back in.
:38:41. > :38:49.He is held up but Rovers are getting close, penalty. It is another set of
:38:50. > :38:53.six for Rovers to attack the line. Trailing by ten points, they will
:38:54. > :38:57.not think about going for gold, they will want the six points if they
:38:58. > :39:06.can. Heavily hit forward in the first instance by green. Lunt, the
:39:07. > :39:13.shimmy from dummy half, and twist that has him over! Sean Lamont, ten
:39:14. > :39:21.minutes in the sin-bin but now he's the hero of this side, having got
:39:22. > :39:30.them back in it -- Sean Lunt. Lunt, clever kick, Kelly has gone chasing
:39:31. > :39:34.after it. The referee is having a word with the touch judge. There is
:39:35. > :39:45.the reason why. Was that a shoulder charge? Penalty for Campese, he can
:39:46. > :39:55.bring his team to within two points. At half-time, it is quite again.
:39:56. > :40:01.Lunt. In by green. Good off-load. Lunt gets the past away. Hull 's
:40:02. > :40:16.line is being tested. Walker is being wrestled and it is another
:40:17. > :40:24.penalty. Walker held down by Frank Prichard. Not for nothing do they
:40:25. > :40:32.call him Cranky Frank. They are now all level with three minutes of the
:40:33. > :40:37.second half laid. Kelly has got the runners, and he got the gap for
:40:38. > :40:47.Graham Hall, against his former club and against the form coming into
:40:48. > :40:54.this game, Hull KR take the lead. Mark Sneyd. The little ball back on
:40:55. > :41:06.the inside. The Rovers' defence is tight at the moment. Houston. To the
:41:07. > :41:14.line comes a less. And a surge by Fonua for his second try of the
:41:15. > :41:22.game. Norton. Looking for the middle, looking for that left-hand
:41:23. > :41:31.flank. They have got a bit of space. Yeaman goes forward, and here comes
:41:32. > :41:35.Jamie Shaul. The inevitability was that it was going to be a Hull
:41:36. > :41:44.drive. And they are in the lead again now. -- Hull drive. Mark
:41:45. > :41:51.Minichiello looking to make it a try for Hull. Mark Minichiello bounding
:41:52. > :41:57.in, and that might just be the defining moment of the game. The
:41:58. > :42:03.Australian scores and it looks like Hull are going to go top of the
:42:04. > :42:07.Super League. It was a scrappy game, probably did not live up to the
:42:08. > :42:14.building that was stoked up prior to the game but I am over the moon with
:42:15. > :42:20.the points. We have been playing a lot of people for a long period of
:42:21. > :42:24.time, the players were outstanding, we had a couple of errors that we
:42:25. > :42:29.will keep working on. The confidence seems to be using out of them. It is
:42:30. > :42:35.another difficult week for us. We have had to come from a nitty-gritty
:42:36. > :42:39.game. And the manner in which we have been getting results over the
:42:40. > :42:45.last six or seven weeks has been very pleasing. That win for Hull
:42:46. > :42:49.wraps up the Magic Weekend. Let's see where that result leaves them
:42:50. > :42:54.and everyone else in the first utility Super League table. Hull
:42:55. > :43:00.were the only team in the top four to win at Magic Weekend. We can go
:43:01. > :43:11.into fourth place. Leeds Rhinos two points adrift at the bottom. We are
:43:12. > :43:15.back next week. Hull hope to compete hat-trick of wins against St Helens
:43:16. > :43:20.when they meet on Saturday. Joining me is Jamie Peacock. A good weekend
:43:21. > :43:25.for Rugby League? I have enjoyed being here. I did not enjoy the
:43:26. > :43:28.result at the end but it was a fantastic occasion, the atmosphere
:43:29. > :43:32.was outstanding and the games have been great as well. Would you like
:43:33. > :43:37.to see it coming back to Newcastle again next year? I would,
:43:38. > :43:41.definitely. I have been up and around here for a couple of days
:43:42. > :43:46.before. And having this blue event is helping the grassroots of Rugby
:43:47. > :43:52.League developed here, and we need to continue doing that. And not take
:43:53. > :43:58.it somewhere else. To try to spark interest in the game in another
:43:59. > :44:02.area? I would like it to stay here. The people of Newcastle appreciate
:44:03. > :44:06.it being here. When something is beginning to flourish, you have got
:44:07. > :44:10.to keep at it. Would you have it as a stand-alone set of fixtures or try
:44:11. > :44:19.to incorporate it into the calendar? I would like to see it as a
:44:20. > :44:22.competition in the winter. Magic Weekend is at an end. They have
:44:23. > :44:29.taken down the posts at St James' Park. We will be back in the studio
:44:30. > :44:32.next week at the slightly earlier time of 11:10pm. We hope you can
:44:33. > :44:37.join as then. Goodbye.
