:00:35. > :00:46.I like indoors. I like the world finals. I back myself to win

:00:47. > :00:53.matches. Great play by Roger Federer.

:00:54. > :00:59.It's beautiful to watch. The crowd are loving this.

:01:00. > :01:04.Incredible angle from Roger Federer. It's outrageous. It's perfect

:01:05. > :01:07.tennis! Game, set and match to Roger Federer.

:01:08. > :01:12.I know it is a big win. It could help me for what is to come in this

:01:13. > :01:18.tournament or at least the next match it will give me confidence.

:01:19. > :01:21.Roger Federer sealing a record 13th semi-final here at the championships

:01:22. > :01:28.over the world number one, Djokovic notify. Ending his unbeaten run on

:01:29. > :01:32.hard courts in three years. So, Federer is through but the

:01:33. > :01:37.second of the group is to be decided.

:01:38. > :01:42.Federer takes on Nishikori, so, Tim, Nishikori has to beat Federer to

:01:43. > :01:50.keep his hopes alive? Easier said than done. But Federer is in such

:01:51. > :01:55.good form. The match where he beat Djokovic was incredible. I thought

:01:56. > :02:00.Djokovic would keep it but Federer got through to the semi-finals. He

:02:01. > :02:05.is playing with confidence. He will go out there and play the way that

:02:06. > :02:09.he has been and maintain the momentum to roll through and keep

:02:10. > :02:14.the three wins from his group. A 13th semi-final. It is record

:02:15. > :02:23.after record? Are we doing numbers on Roger? You could go on forever.

:02:24. > :02:30.Record after record. Of all of them really, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008,

:02:31. > :02:34.unbelievable. Then joined by Nadal, and then joined by Novak Djokovic,

:02:35. > :02:38.and Andy Murray has had a crack at it. Here he is still. He is the

:02:39. > :02:44.greatest artist I have seen playing tennis. The artistry, the way that

:02:45. > :02:50.he plays fluid tennis. I cannot get enough. The enthusiasm, the way he

:02:51. > :02:56.maintains his hunger for the game. I cannot get enough of him. What is

:02:57. > :03:01.Nishikori to face today? Many shots, that you will not see from anybody

:03:02. > :03:04.else. Winner of ten career ATP world tour

:03:05. > :03:36.titles, from Japan, Kei Nishikori! APPLAUSE.

:03:37. > :03:41.Ladies and gentlemen, the sixth-time Barclays ATP World Tour finals

:03:42. > :03:47.champion and winner of 88 titles, including 17 Grand Slam grands and

:03:48. > :04:03.24 Masters trophies, from Switzerland, Roger Federer!

:04:04. > :04:29.APPLAUSE. It's a different look for Roger this

:04:30. > :04:34.year, isn't it? The stubble? Not the clean-shaven look we have seen in

:04:35. > :04:39.years? I think we will leave it to you to comment. I think it is safe

:04:40. > :04:43.to say you think he looks good whatever he wears! Fair to say. And

:04:44. > :04:49.so many Roger Federer fans here. From all around the world. But it is

:04:50. > :04:56.the way he plays and the manner in which he plays. If you love tennis

:04:57. > :05:02.and you don't like the way that Roger plays, well, you have an

:05:03. > :05:07.issue. He plays the game like nobody else. His record is like nobody

:05:08. > :05:13.else. His enthusiasm is still there. I would love to know what Nishikori

:05:14. > :05:18.is thinking now. Maybe stern defence and let Roger Federer make errors? I

:05:19. > :05:22.don't know how he can make an impact on the match.

:05:23. > :05:26.He has big shots. He can dominate the match? Certainly from the back

:05:27. > :05:28.of the court. That is where his main attributes are. His speed and the

:05:29. > :05:32.way he is able to take attributes are. His speed and the

:05:33. > :05:35.from both wings. The question mark is the serving. He struggled on

:05:36. > :05:41.serve. He will have to serve a is the serving. He struggled on

:05:42. > :05:46.percentage of first serves. If Federer gets too many second serves,

:05:47. > :05:49.he can get on top of the rallies. For me Federer has too much game.

:05:50. > :05:55.His serve is fantastic. Hitting the For me Federer has too much game.

:05:56. > :06:06.to dominate in the straight sets.

:06:07. > :06:10.Welcome gentlemen, good afternoon. We have 25 seconds between points

:06:11. > :06:27.and challenges, please, if you have any questions? No questions. OK,

:06:28. > :06:45.heads or tails? Heads? OK. Let's test. It's heads.

:06:46. > :06:50.So you receive? Both sides, please. And the other side, Roger, please.

:06:51. > :06:59.Well, that didn't go well from start to finish! It was like a magic coin.

:07:00. > :07:08.Heads I win, tails you lose. So, we are here watching Federer

:07:09. > :07:15.against Nishikori and that, Federer through, Nishikori with chance to go

:07:16. > :07:20.through but he has to beat Federer and hope that Berdych beats Novak

:07:21. > :07:23.Djokovic tonight. Yesterday evening, the world number

:07:24. > :07:30.four, Stanislas Wawrinka was in action. He got off to a poor start.

:07:31. > :07:33.5-2 down to David Ferrer. But he got better throughout the match. Winning

:07:34. > :07:36.7-5, 6-2. better throughout the match. Winning

:07:37. > :07:40.And had sets up better throughout the match. Winning

:07:41. > :07:47.with Murray. That is tomorrow evening. Stanislas Wawrinka against

:07:48. > :07:51.Andy Murray. We will have that for you live at

:07:52. > :07:55.2.00pm on BBC Two. That will not be easy. Andy Murray

:07:56. > :08:01.against Stanislas Wawrinka? Both of them have had highs and lows this

:08:02. > :08:06.week? Very much so. Where they have come unstuck in their matches it was

:08:07. > :08:11.more mentally. Andy Murray was distracted against Rafael Nadal. He

:08:12. > :08:16.got off to a great start. Broke serve, he was up, then Rafael Nadal

:08:17. > :08:20.broke back and Murray did not seem to be having the clarity of thought.

:08:21. > :08:25.He gave Rafael Nadal the opportunity. He is hitting more

:08:26. > :08:30.aggressively from the baseline. So Murray wanting to put that straight

:08:31. > :08:36.and likewise with Stanislas Wawrinka against Nadal.

:08:37. > :08:41.The second serve the intensity level dropped off but then responded well.

:08:42. > :08:44.They have both won one match, the winner takes all, the one to come

:08:45. > :08:48.through gets through to the semi-final.

:08:49. > :08:53.And Roger Federer, he is in action today. Earlier in the week he

:08:54. > :08:58.collected two awards here on the court.

:08:59. > :09:04.He won the Fans' kv favourite Award. Winning it for a record 13th time.

:09:05. > :09:10.You see how popular he is here. He also won the Steph an eggberg

:09:11. > :09:15.Sportsmanship Award for the 11th time. So two more awards for

:09:16. > :09:19.Federer, and surely more to come with 2016 looming. He is still

:09:20. > :09:25.motivated to continue live on the road.

:09:26. > :09:28.Some players are worn down from the travellingling, the getting

:09:29. > :09:33.organised, the packing, the practice in the early morning, the gym

:09:34. > :09:39.sessions, another massage, another club, another hotel but for me it is

:09:40. > :09:41.OK. I really enjoy the travelling, the cultures, the cities, friends

:09:42. > :09:45.and people that I meet on the road after all of these years. There is

:09:46. > :09:51.so much to like about it. At the end of the day I love to play tennis. I

:09:52. > :09:56.love playing to a sold-out stadium. And to have so many fans that push

:09:57. > :10:00.me on and wish me luck and want me to do well. It is a treat to feel

:10:01. > :10:04.that. It was not always that way at the beginning of my career. I

:10:05. > :10:08.remember that. So for me it is not so detective to stay motivated, I

:10:09. > :10:14.have to tell you. He still loves the game so much.

:10:15. > :10:19.Yesterday we saw Leighton Hewitt, retiring at the age of 34. Roger

:10:20. > :10:22.Federer is still going strong. He has not had the back injuries that

:10:23. > :10:28.Hewitt has had. No. Some of that is due to the fact

:10:29. > :10:32.that the training regime has been so well put together like the rest of

:10:33. > :10:36.his game. But maintaining the enthusiasm for the life on the road

:10:37. > :10:42.is essential. If you are miserable travelling, this is not the sport

:10:43. > :10:49.for you. Even last week he was in Finland. He was with a friend

:10:50. > :10:54.helping him out in a big stadium. He had never been there, playing

:10:55. > :11:05.exhibition tennis with a couple of friends. They were quite good. But

:11:06. > :11:09.he loved being out there. He went Instabul, so maintaining that is the

:11:10. > :11:15.battle. And the motivation to keep winning. He is at the top of his

:11:16. > :11:20.game. But what does this group mean? We know that Roger Federer is

:11:21. > :11:24.through on the graph. There he is on everyone of those lists. But over

:11:25. > :11:31.the top of the line there is Nishikori in two sets or three sets.

:11:32. > :11:35.Then down the column there is there that he needs in Berdych. If

:11:36. > :11:39.Nishikori can win in two or three sets, two sets, then Berdych has to

:11:40. > :11:47.win in two or three against Djokovic? It is an example of how to

:11:48. > :11:56.control the controller boards. You have to just go out there and not

:11:57. > :12:02.worry about the mathematics but to go out on form. Nishikori must serve

:12:03. > :12:06.consistently, looking to dominate the baseline rallies. If he does

:12:07. > :12:11.that, he has half a chance. But I think that we will see Federer

:12:12. > :12:14.finishing the group with a 3-0 record.

:12:15. > :12:20.It is a big ask. He could win this and not go

:12:21. > :12:25.through. Yes. But if he doesn't win he definitely can't. So win! I think

:12:26. > :12:28.you did a fantastic job of trying to distil the information there. Are

:12:29. > :12:34.people on pause going, what does that mean?! I have to thank Sophie

:12:35. > :12:38.Brown. She put it together it is the first time in years we have been

:12:39. > :12:42.able to reasonably understand it! But it is very, very tough. We

:12:43. > :12:47.wanted to ask a question. We have seen that Roger Federer has been the

:12:48. > :12:56.fans' favourite for 13 years. We want to ask you and get in touch on

:12:57. > :13:03.social media: Who is your all-time favourite aside from Roger? Who

:13:04. > :13:14.excited you and made you want to play? Mine is Tim! ! I think I would

:13:15. > :13:25.go back a while, it would be Bjorn Borg. He would get my vote.

:13:26. > :13:35.Roger has won this 13 times, as long as he is playing they will add up.

:13:36. > :13:44.I think so, and as long as he is getting the Stefan Edberg Award too.

:13:45. > :13:51.That is it all set up. So, Roger Federer to serve.

:13:52. > :13:57.On a rainy day outside in the Greenwich peninsula. Now looking

:13:58. > :14:02.forward to first- class entertainment. Glad you are with us,

:14:03. > :15:24.now to Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori at the O2 Arena.

:15:25. > :15:35.One of the reasons why Roger Federer has never volleyed better.

:15:36. > :15:39.Stefan Edberg there watching the shot.

:15:40. > :15:47.I thought you were going to say, "One of the reasons why he has RF on

:15:48. > :16:01.his shirt? ?" That is Robbie Federer, his dad. Everyone thinks it

:16:02. > :16:05.is for Roger. Never the biggest server in the game

:16:06. > :16:09.but probably the most accurate server we have ever seen. You have

:16:10. > :16:13.played against him many, many time, Tim. A quick look at the game

:16:14. > :16:17.durations over the course of the matches so far. It has been a

:16:18. > :16:22.struggle for Nishikori to hold serve. He does his winning in a very

:16:23. > :16:26.different way. A lot quicker. The longest game on serve is three

:16:27. > :16:32.minutes. A very accurate server. He is using the kick-serve this week

:16:33. > :17:21.on the abrasive surface very well. That looked pretty close, didn't it?

:17:22. > :17:24.Mmm. I think even Federer was

:17:25. > :18:14.Mmm. slight glance at that first serve.

:18:15. > :18:23.He handled the single handled slice there pretty well. But the

:18:24. > :18:28.He handled the single handled slice was found wanting. When Chang, what

:18:29. > :18:32.he was working on tour, it was those movements, again and again. Always

:18:33. > :19:15.had the ground strokes, rather like Nishikori.

:19:16. > :19:26.Solid start percentage. If Federer has too many

:19:27. > :19:31.looks at second serve, he could get on top on the rallies. But five out

:19:32. > :20:26.of six first serves, it is a promising start.

:20:27. > :20:39.So who made that noise? out? I don't think you can have a

:20:40. > :20:44.play tonne. I think it was an ace. The line judge did say out but his

:20:45. > :20:49.arm didn't come out. A smart move, Kei.

:20:50. > :20:54.He could have argued the case there. Normally you are arguing the case on

:20:55. > :21:04.a serve when the racket is on the ball and you may miss the ball and

:21:05. > :21:58.the call influenced you. That's wide on the kick.

:21:59. > :22:06.Great hitting from both players. An interesting reaction from Federer

:22:07. > :22:10.there in the third game. The little come-on at 30-30. It shows he

:22:11. > :22:29.doesn't want to be messing around today.

:22:30. > :22:46.Wow! How did he get in! Can we have a word, sir? Yes, I mean you

:22:47. > :22:50.mentioned that, Tim but he knows, he is very, very likely, given Berdych

:22:51. > :22:54.versus Djokovic and their record later on, that he is very likely, no

:22:55. > :22:59.matter what happens to win this group. To get motivated, day in, day

:23:00. > :23:04.out, having to give that full energy, he will be aware of this. It

:23:05. > :23:09.is not a disaster to him even if he loses this? No but he knows with the

:23:10. > :23:15.momentum he is gaining, the way he is playing, he wants to finish the

:23:16. > :23:22.group with a 3-0 record and move on to the semi-finals. He does not want

:23:23. > :23:26.to be out here for 2. 5 hours battles on a 3-set match. From

:23:27. > :23:32.Nishikori's point of view, I would not say that Federer was a mentor

:23:33. > :23:35.for Nishikori but at the age of 17, 18, Federer practiced with Nishikori

:23:36. > :23:40.a lot. They were together in Florida. When

:23:41. > :23:44.Federer was hitting with this young Japanese player, I thought he must

:23:45. > :23:49.be something pretty special otherwise Federer would not on the

:23:50. > :23:55.court with him so often. Commenting a that the time Federer

:23:56. > :23:58.said, obviously he has a huge natural speed, Nishikori, not sure

:23:59. > :24:02.about the service motion but he said what he was worried about was the

:24:03. > :24:10.travel and the lifestyle, how would he cope with it? Fine, as it turns

:24:11. > :24:12.out. 25 years of age and into his second

:24:13. > :25:15.tour finals. He is so mobile, Nishikori. He

:25:16. > :25:23.really is quick. Happy to take the ball early.

:25:24. > :25:37.Getting in off balance, so difficult from the back of the court.

:25:38. > :25:58.It's definitely been a susceptible to a few double faults. He will be

:25:59. > :26:58.aware that Federer will be looking to that to have an impact.

:26:59. > :27:03.A lot of good-quality hitting from both players. But when you feel

:27:04. > :27:11.Nishikori serving, he is never getting help with a cheap point on a

:27:12. > :27:16.serve. When Federer was down, he was up with the serve.

:27:17. > :27:30.Hence the length of the games from Nishikori.

:27:31. > :27:36.Decent lice back from Roger Federer. He put a little bit of something

:27:37. > :27:42.special on. Edberg knew a little bit about

:27:43. > :27:47.single backhands as well. What a great appointment that was. Edberg,

:27:48. > :27:51.never, ever going to take the limelight away. Just going to get

:27:52. > :27:56.the job doesn't quietly. Who knows what they talk about but it is a

:27:57. > :27:58.quiet appointment, isn't it? Pretty solid.

:27:59. > :28:55.How was this first volley? A half chance here for Nishikori.

:28:56. > :28:57.You really feel when Federer gives you a chance like this, you really

:28:58. > :30:23.have to look to take advantage. Not the

:30:24. > :30:25.More of a rallying shot than anything. Don't want to miss those

:30:26. > :30:44.on break point. Probably playing the score and the

:30:45. > :31:30.man rather than the ball there. That's just another rallying shot.

:31:31. > :31:37.A change up on the third break point and it doesn't do anything for

:31:38. > :31:45.Federer. Nishikori has broken back, a good effort from him. The world

:31:46. > :31:49.number eight showing he's here for an afternoon's contest. Just 25

:31:50. > :31:52.years of age, the youngest in the top Tenby some three years,

:31:53. > :31:59.Nishikori. He was 26 next month. He's been as high as number four in

:32:00. > :32:05.the world. That's how we stand: These are the world rankings. Novak

:32:06. > :32:08.Djokovic will be number one if Roger Federer loses a match here. Andy

:32:09. > :32:15.Murray is confirmed as the world number two. Stan Wawrinka at number

:32:16. > :32:21.four, the French Open champion. Nadal on his way back but he went

:32:22. > :32:28.down to number 10 temporarily in July. It didn't look right. Looked

:32:29. > :32:46.like a computer glitch, but now he's playing well. Was are youets ski an

:32:47. > :32:51.alternate one year? In Hanover. Does it feel different, this tournament,

:32:52. > :32:56.because there's only eight, because there's Round Robins. It is very

:32:57. > :33:00.different on a number of levels. The only way you can qualify for this

:33:01. > :33:06.event is your performance in the previous 11 months. There is no

:33:07. > :33:10.wildcards. You've got to earn those ranking points, so yes it is very

:33:11. > :33:15.special. It has a great history and tradition. It's moved around the

:33:16. > :33:18.world. We've talked about some of the different venues in different

:33:19. > :33:23.cities, but I don't think there's many better than this. Staying in

:33:24. > :33:41.London until 2018. That was announced a week ago.

:33:42. > :33:48.Nishikori a semifinalist last year. He was the only player to take a set

:33:49. > :33:55.off Djokovic over the course of a week. Lost to Djokovic 6-0 in the

:33:56. > :37:10.first set and was getting a bit cross.

:37:11. > :37:18.It is that phase of the match now for Federer, he's going to have to

:37:19. > :37:23.dig in here. Nishikori is playing well, he's into the match. Federer

:37:24. > :37:33.has had a break and lost it, so he'll be disappointed.

:37:34. > :37:41.Not exactly the easiest player to play, Nishikori. He's unbelievably

:37:42. > :37:46.mobile. Takes the ball early. Really timing the ball well. I think a

:37:47. > :37:51.telling stat so far is second serve points one for Federer on second

:37:52. > :37:52.serve, when they get into the baseline exchanges, he has only won

:37:53. > :38:08.two of ten. And he's winning eight out of ten

:38:09. > :38:12.when he gets the first delivery. When it gets into movement from the

:38:13. > :38:16.back of the court, watch out for that. Nishikori's winning his first

:38:17. > :38:49.share, and some. What a base to hit from. Nishikori

:38:50. > :38:50.pulled way out wide. Need some hamstring and internal abductors for

:38:51. > :39:17.this one. Earned it.

:39:18. > :39:22.UMPIRE: Ball change, please. We've had a few one-sided matches here

:39:23. > :39:27.haven't we? Stan Wawrinka against Rafael Nadal. Very much went away.

:39:28. > :39:34.You would almost call it a tank in the second set. It happens like that

:39:35. > :39:38.sometimes. Andy Murray yesterday struggling against his opponent.

:39:39. > :39:43.Federer is going to be tested here is what I'm saying. This is a

:39:44. > :39:49.horrible opponent, when you don't feel like your whole life depends on

:39:50. > :39:54.a match. Federer's level just dropped a fraction from 3-1 up in

:39:55. > :39:59.that service game to give Nishikori the opportunity of breaking back.

:40:00. > :40:03.But in the last couple of games Nishikori's been mighty impressive.

:40:04. > :40:08.Hammered by Djokovic one on one in the first match. Came back and beat

:40:09. > :40:15.Berdych in a good three-setter, the first we had in the single. You've

:40:16. > :40:20.got love the way that man competes. And by that reaction he believes he

:40:21. > :40:26.can cause an upset in the semifinals. Up 4-3 first set. That's

:40:27. > :40:33.a good opportunity. He has beaten Roger Federer twice before, in 2013

:40:34. > :40:38.on clay, 2014 in Miami on the hard courts in the quarterfinals. It will

:40:39. > :40:44.be interesting to see his mind-set now. You felt in the early stages

:40:45. > :40:49.Nishikori had nothing to lose. He's playing against the greatest player

:40:50. > :40:52.who has ever lived. All of a sudden up 4-3 in the break and you've got a

:40:53. > :42:05.little something to lose. The umpire... That's not a

:42:06. > :42:10.particularly easy call for the umpire there. The ball shoots off in

:42:11. > :42:13.a totally different direction, that's not too difficult, but a

:42:14. > :42:35.glancing blow... With Nishikori's speed of movement

:42:36. > :42:37.and how well he's striking the ball, he's starting to dominate the

:42:38. > :42:44.baseline rallies. Nishikori is looking at that

:42:45. > :43:15.sideline like Nishikori is looking at that

:43:16. > :44:44.stopped that rally and A tactic Federer might use a little

:44:45. > :45:08.bit more to play the slice and change the pace.

:45:09. > :45:21.Smart change of direction from Federer on the backhand down the

:45:22. > :45:29.line getting the reward. You can see by that fist pump by Federer he

:45:30. > :45:59.doesn't want to put in a tame performance.

:46:00. > :46:10.And that's away and that's a break for all. A couple of mistakes from

:46:11. > :46:14.Nishikori that he won't like. But the feature of that game is

:46:15. > :46:20.Federer's willingness to push hard physically here. Could easily have

:46:21. > :46:25.put in an 80%er and save himself. He's 34 years of age and he's so

:46:26. > :46:27.competitive. Nishikori would like a couple of those points back no

:46:28. > :47:02.doubt. 4-4. A decent match, this. Good second serve there from

:47:03. > :47:07.Federer, into the body and followed it in. A couple of times doesn't

:47:08. > :47:22.seem like he's picked up the ball too clearly.

:47:23. > :48:17.From defence into attack. The Barbarians are here, the rugby

:48:18. > :48:33.squad. That was a shock yesterday to lose

:48:34. > :48:51.Jonah Lomu. It really was. A heavy week of news.

:48:52. > :49:09.Ah! This is an eight out of ten play for Federer, isn't it. Handled well

:49:10. > :49:13.here by Nishikori. Getting into a game of hand skills at the net,

:49:14. > :49:44.would think Federer's the one that's going to come out on top.

:49:45. > :49:57.Two games in a row from a break down to 5-4 up Federer in the first set.

:49:58. > :50:03.Indeed, the only six-times champion of this season-ending event. The

:50:04. > :50:08.winner Houston, Shanghai and London. Lost the final in Shanghai to

:50:09. > :50:12.Nalbandian and to Djokovic last year in London. A phenomenal record. A

:50:13. > :50:17.great year. Six titles, ten finals. The only person he has lost to in a

:50:18. > :50:22.final this year is Djokovic, on four occasions. The go big ones, in the

:50:23. > :50:26.summer, the Wimbledon final and the US Open final. It's been a while

:50:27. > :50:29.since he has won a Grand Slam. He would love it if he could keep on

:50:30. > :50:36.giving himself opportunities. Absolutely. He's been knocking on

:50:37. > :50:41.that door, banging on that door of Grand Slam Finals. It is amazing to

:50:42. > :50:46.see. I think an element of the game that's changed, the longevity, the

:50:47. > :50:51.training techniques. At 34, still looking so fit, so eager and playing

:50:52. > :50:55.such good tennis. There was a lot of talk even a couple of years ago

:50:56. > :51:03.about when is he going to retire, and should he be retiring when he

:51:04. > :51:09.had a slight dip in form. A change to a bigger headed racket, 98 square

:51:10. > :51:15.inches instead of 90 now. I think that gave him more margin for error

:51:16. > :51:20.when trying to time the ball early, and a little bit of extra power.

:51:21. > :51:25.When you have used the racket for as long as he has and won as much as he

:51:26. > :51:29.had, you've got to believe in it if you want to make that change. But he

:51:30. > :51:37.has and I think it's been a very positive thing.

:51:38. > :52:17.So now Nishikori serving to stay in the first set.

:52:18. > :52:24.He looked down the other end at Federer shaping up with his

:52:25. > :52:29.forehand, you could be forgiven for trying to force the ball into the

:52:30. > :52:39.corners a little bit or through the court. Double faults tend to follow.

:52:40. > :52:53.In the 4-4 game when you going after

:52:54. > :52:57.In the 4-4 game when you you thought that's a good sign,

:52:58. > :52:59.Federer trying to be aggressive, but when Nishikori is going after a

:53:00. > :53:53.second serve, it's a risk. Tidy game for the world number eight

:53:54. > :53:59.there. Not afraid to slip that ball out wide and keep Federer guessing.

:54:00. > :54:03.It is important you don't become predictable on delivery. There's

:54:04. > :54:06.It is important you don't become been a lot of quality play on the

:54:07. > :54:11.baseline. It is not often you see Federer at 48% on first

:54:12. > :54:14.baseline. It is not often you see Nishikori at 52%. They would both

:54:15. > :54:32.like to improve in that area. There you go.. It is 104 miles an

:54:33. > :54:34.hour second serve close to the line but it still looks relatively low

:54:35. > :54:48.risk. I think if you take somebody like

:54:49. > :55:07.Karlovic or Isner, it is I think if you take somebody like

:55:08. > :55:11.a freak serve. How did you beat this bloke five times out of six? He was

:55:12. > :55:45.only 11 when I played him. Having a quick look at the results

:55:46. > :55:57.on the challenger circuit. Edmond, we were talking about him earlier.

:55:58. > :55:59.Kyle Edmund is winning in Uruguay. He is playing in month individual

:56:00. > :56:16.ao. Playing in Montevideo. It is He is playing in month individual

:56:17. > :56:21.probably a win-win situation. It is a good effort to be down there and

:56:22. > :56:25.winning a good effort to be down there and

:56:26. > :56:30.opponents. It is a double-edged sword. If he keeps winning it is

:56:31. > :56:35.good for his confidence but it is a long journey back. We need to make

:56:36. > :56:41.sure he is fresh. The time difference I think is three hours.

:56:42. > :56:44.As little as that? Yes, because it is east of Miami. It

:56:45. > :56:49.As little as that? Yes, because it Florida, the time change, so it is

:56:50. > :56:54.not that tough. He's talked about that. You've assumed that Kyle

:56:55. > :57:03.Edmund is the favoured player In he's got form on clay. James Ward

:57:04. > :57:10.has done a great job and he's winning Davis Cup matches. I hope to

:57:11. > :57:34.speak to Leon Smith later on in this programme.

:57:35. > :57:54.This is something to watch isn't it. Look at this. Just to hit one like

:57:55. > :58:08.that. Foot fault on the first serve, which

:58:09. > :58:17.I believe he missed anyway. What Federer going to do with this second

:58:18. > :58:21.serve? Chip it back. He's very good at nullifying any serve and

:58:22. > :58:25.commencing the rally and equalising thing. That was a fine backhand down

:58:26. > :58:29.the line. It was, but it was a safe return. You felt he was waiting to

:58:30. > :58:35.chip that cross-court and start the rally. But changed the direction the

:58:36. > :59:02.last minute. That caught Nishikori slightly unawares.

:59:03. > :59:10.UMPIRE: Mr Federer is challenging the ball on the right baseline.

:59:11. > :59:16.She's had a busy time. Called this one out. Roger Federer would like to

:59:17. > :59:19.have a quick look at that. And quite right, a good call. Cut back to her

:59:20. > :59:48.smiling broadly. That was a big mistake.

:59:49. > :00:21.UMPIRE: Mr Federer has three challenges remaining.

:00:22. > :00:33.Skw Wow. That is handy. A gutsy shot to step in and flatten

:00:34. > :01:13.this one out. A clean winner down the line.

:01:14. > :01:22.APPLAUSE. A lovely point.

:01:23. > :01:30.Did you think Roger would miss the last backhand down the line?

:01:31. > :02:45.Nishikori did so well to hang in. It's pretty, isn't it? A good

:02:46. > :02:49.reaction from Nishikori. Thumbs up. Nishikori had his chance as he had a

:02:50. > :02:54.break of serve. He will be disappointed with the drop shot,

:02:55. > :03:00.bringing Roger Federer into the net. This is a good match. But Roger

:03:01. > :03:06.Federer sets the pace. So the first set goes to Roger

:03:07. > :03:11.Federer. What does that mean? Here is the group table as it stands. We

:03:12. > :03:15.have taken out the third column. Nishikori must come back to win

:03:16. > :03:20.here. Then he needs Berdych to beat Djokovic in two or three sets, then

:03:21. > :03:27.Nishikori can go through with Federer. Federer is already through.

:03:28. > :03:33.The only way Berdych goes through is if Federer wins here and he beats

:03:34. > :03:38.Djokovic in straight sets. As long as Federer wins in two or

:03:39. > :03:42.three sets and Berdych defeats Djokovic in straight sets, then he

:03:43. > :03:48.goes through. But looking on paper and the form we have seen so far,

:03:49. > :03:51.Federer and Djokovic are the overwhelming favourites to go

:03:52. > :03:56.through to the semi-finals. So back with the second set. We have

:03:57. > :04:11.been asking you to get in touch with your all-time favourites.

:04:12. > :04:17.Andrew has given us Hewitt, and Henman has gone for Borg.

:04:18. > :04:32.Many of you going for the women, and a lot of you going for AndrAgassi.

:04:33. > :04:40.Kim Halstead has said: Tim all the way. Alannah has said apart from

:04:41. > :04:45.Federer it has to be Roger. Maybe we have to rethink that! Thank you very

:04:46. > :04:51.much for getting in touch. Keep coming in with your all time

:04:52. > :04:53.favourites. Roger is the fans' favourite for the

:04:54. > :04:58.favourites. Roger is the fans' row. But we are asking you who is

:04:59. > :05:09.your favourite player over the years.

:05:10. > :05:14.Well, I fancied Sue Barker. Snow snow snow a lot of great tennis over

:05:15. > :05:19.the years and I fancied her as well! So, there you go.

:05:20. > :05:22.Lots of Federer fans it is a bit of a celebration every time he plays

:05:23. > :05:28.the game. Nobody really play it is the same way. Then to have Nadal,

:05:29. > :05:31.Djokovic and our own US Open and Olympic champion, Andy Murray as

:05:32. > :05:39.well, and Stanislas Wawrinka but it is a glorious time is it not? Del

:05:40. > :05:47.Potro, another slam winner and Marin Cilic. But Del Potro is not looking

:05:48. > :05:53.good for the future as I understand. He has had problems with wrist

:05:54. > :05:56.problems and needs further surgery. But he has certainly made his

:05:57. > :08:02.contributions for the past year. I've just had a message from Bear

:08:03. > :08:09.Grylls, and he is watching. He loves his tennis. Loves Federer. A big

:08:10. > :08:14.leftie, Bear. Glad you are enjoying the tenny,

:08:15. > :08:16.Bear. And have you worked on your serve yet? Have you played him? No.

:08:17. > :09:06.Not serve yet? Have you played him? No.

:09:07. > :09:38.Bear is often in the US Open, there to support as well.

:09:39. > :12:05.You might as well try something different, if you see a second

:12:06. > :12:10.serve. Come on, Henners, we are going to do

:12:11. > :12:22.a bit of tennis gossip. Did you read the papers. It is in the Mail.

:12:23. > :12:30.Grigor Dimitrov going out with Nicole Scherzinger? No! Is that what

:12:31. > :12:34.you read? No! Yes, 13 years his senior.

:12:35. > :12:41.That was a bit of a surprise. Who is coming up next after these?

:12:42. > :12:46.The Barbarians are in town. The rugby boys. Who is the player to win

:12:47. > :12:49.a Grand Slam championship or one of the big events after this

:12:50. > :12:55.generation? Who is the one you are looking at? We have been waiting for

:12:56. > :13:06.that, whether Dimitrov can break through. Choric.

:13:07. > :13:13.Do you rate him? He is good. He stands out.

:13:14. > :13:18.Berev? He is a good player. I mean, Kyle Edmund. He is doing

:13:19. > :13:22.well. I'm not suddenly saying he is going to win a Grand Slam. But I

:13:23. > :13:26.want to see him progressing. He is someone I have seen play for the

:13:27. > :13:32.last four or five years. He is moving in the right direction.

:13:33. > :13:38.In the top 100. Trying to secure his place in the Australian Open, Kyle

:13:39. > :13:41.Edmund. It is interesting to see how the age of the players is obviously,

:13:42. > :13:46.it is taking longer for the players to come through. Nishikori, the

:13:47. > :13:51.youngest player in this event at 25. By three years! You would think

:13:52. > :14:00.before, there were players qualifying at 19, 20, 21.

:14:01. > :15:36.And there we go. No breaks in the second set.

:15:37. > :15:44.Federer just paused a fraction before hitting that forehand. He

:15:45. > :16:15.waited for Nishikori to commit. Alarm bells ringing here.

:16:16. > :16:23.He felt Nishikori did a lot of good things in the first set. Playing

:16:24. > :16:28.great baseline tennis. He still couldn't find the reward. Now down a

:16:29. > :18:30.set and a break. So, a seriously big mountain to

:18:31. > :18:34.climb. There you go. Beginning to have fun

:18:35. > :19:29.now. There you go. Beginning to have fun

:19:30. > :19:36.Roger Federer, seemingly eccelerating away here. He was part

:19:37. > :19:42.of the Swiss Davis Cup team that won here last year.

:19:43. > :19:46.This year it is GB versus Belgium. I say this as the first round draw,

:19:47. > :19:53.the 16 teams are into the draw. The draw has been done for the world

:19:54. > :20:00.group next year. It is March the 6th to the 7th. Great Britain is playing

:20:01. > :20:04.Japan, a home tie. And there was that documentary on the wilderness

:20:05. > :20:09.years of the Davis Cup, when things were not see easy and Andy Murray

:20:10. > :20:16.was not playing, there are a lot of away ties coming up over the next

:20:17. > :20:21.two, three, four years after this. I wonder if Andy Murray will be able

:20:22. > :20:23.to dig deep and play year on year? I don't hear about that. But

:20:24. > :20:26.certainly, let's don't hear about that. But

:20:27. > :20:32.this year and hopefully we can win the Davis Cup. It will be an

:20:33. > :20:35.unbelievable achievement. I think then, if

:20:36. > :20:39.unbelievable achievement. has done his bit, it is time for the

:20:40. > :20:45.others to step up to the plate. He would get my support. The physical

:20:46. > :20:47.demands on him are enormous, playing three five-set matches back toe

:20:48. > :20:51.back. Nishikori played for Japan this

:20:52. > :20:53.year. They kept a place in the world group having

:20:54. > :21:02.year. They kept a place in the world round. They won in a play-off. He

:21:03. > :21:08.was undefeated in singles. They beat Columbia, having thrust

:21:09. > :22:18.the Canadians. 1-4 here, the second set.

:22:19. > :22:25.After his victory over Djokovic, the other day, Federer says that

:22:26. > :22:26.Djokovic remains the favourite for the tournament. Do you see it that

:22:27. > :24:31.way? Yes, I do. I think he is. He doesn't want to finish his year

:24:32. > :24:33.without a fight. A good effort from Nishikori to hold serve to keep

:24:34. > :24:45.Federer on it. They didn't necessarily see this in

:24:46. > :26:40.the script. He took the ball on again and there

:26:41. > :26:49.is the break. He is right back on in this second set. Deservedly so with

:26:50. > :26:54.returns like that. It shouldn't surprise us, either. He

:26:55. > :27:00.is a man who has been in a Grand Slam final before, the US Open last

:27:01. > :27:05.year. He lost to Marin Cilic. It looked like the occasion got to him

:27:06. > :27:08.a little bit. After beating Stanislas Wawrinka and Novak

:27:09. > :27:14.Djokovic, a tremendous run to get to that final. Look at where he is

:27:15. > :27:18.standing, four, five feet inside the service line. Still very much

:27:19. > :27:27.engaged in this. He knows what he has to do but doing it is the tough

:27:28. > :27:35.thing, of course. But a good start. The first Asian man to reach a Grand

:27:36. > :27:39.Slam final, Japan. Japan have had players on the fringes of the top

:27:40. > :27:44.100 but they were challenger players.

:27:45. > :27:49.This guy has come along and commercially, he is a massive deal.

:27:50. > :28:16.As you can see! Certainly not many empty seats.

:28:17. > :28:22.Just a few right up at the top but yes, probably 17,000. A couple of

:28:23. > :28:28.the afternoon sessions not full but the evenings are packed out.

:28:29. > :28:33.Later on, Novak Djokovic against Tomas Berdych in a live match.

:28:34. > :28:36.So, a great effort from Nishikori to get the break back. But now he needs

:28:37. > :30:23.to play a strong service game. APPLAUSE. A wonderful run of form

:30:24. > :30:29.from Kei Nishikori. A second ace and parity in the second set. A couple

:30:30. > :30:34.of things have been disappointing for him this year, mainly the

:30:35. > :30:40.injuries. And there was the two sets he had up against Benoit at the US

:30:41. > :30:43.Open, lost in five sets. Will to miss three of the Masters events

:30:44. > :32:48.with injury, but fighting fit now. side. Didn't let the ball climb too

:32:49. > :32:58.high, took it early. Good technique. As well as physical strength. Oh!

:32:59. > :33:12.Whoops. As well as physical strength. Oh!

:33:13. > :33:14.shot. This was a clanger wasn't it. That's not going on the Federer

:33:15. > :33:44.highlight reel. Break point. Well done Nishikori. A couple of

:33:45. > :33:47.miss from Federer, yes, but he has the break and he'll Serb to take us

:33:48. > :33:55.to a decider. Well the break and he'll Serb to take us

:33:56. > :34:01.to a decider. - he'll serve to take us to the decider. How has he done

:34:02. > :34:06.it? He has hung on in there and continued being aggressive. There

:34:07. > :34:11.were a couple of moments where Federer missed a few serves but he

:34:12. > :34:17.has maintained his intensity and belief. He obviously doesn't want to

:34:18. > :34:27.start his Christmas holidays just yet. They have played before. This

:34:28. > :34:35.is when. A number of times in fact. It is 3-2, so he's beaten Federer

:34:36. > :34:41.before. Haven't played this year. At the World Tour Finals last year it

:34:42. > :34:46.was straightforward to Federer. On the grass of Halle Federer was

:34:47. > :34:59.pretty much unvincible there. But Nishikori has won on the hard court

:35:00. > :35:04.of Miami and Madrid. You think Nishikori is going home and all of a

:35:05. > :35:08.sudden you can look at different scenarios and see that Nishikori can

:35:09. > :35:14.still win the group. I'm sure Sue will update us in a moment but

:35:15. > :35:24.Nishikori could win the group if he wins this point? If he beats Berdych

:35:25. > :35:41.in one or two sets, he wins the group. This is the 23rd occasion he

:35:42. > :35:49.has played fed. Serving for the set. Had to break a serve in the first

:35:50. > :36:06.set. Let's see if he can do a better job this time.

:36:07. > :36:14.That's clearly not the start you want. Didn't find the first serve,

:36:15. > :36:18.then makes the unforced error from the back of the court. Immediately

:36:19. > :36:27.puts yourself on the defensive there, losing that first point.

:36:28. > :37:39.Held it nicely. Waited for Federer to recover. Guided it down the line

:37:40. > :38:11.and two set points. Top of the net, and we are going the

:38:12. > :38:17.distance here. A deciding set on the way. Well done Nishikori. Five games

:38:18. > :38:27.in a row. 6-4 to him in the second set and he deserved it.

:38:28. > :38:32.STUDIO: The crowd want to see this match go on. It is so entertaining

:38:33. > :38:43.between the two shot makers on the court. Now it is one set all, what

:38:44. > :38:50.does it mean as far as this Group Stan Smith is concerned. The only

:38:51. > :38:56.way Berdych can qualify is if Federer wins in three here, so he'll

:38:57. > :39:02.be cheering for Roger in this match. But then he has to beat Djokovic in

:39:03. > :39:05.straight sets. I was looking at the head to head on the hard courts.

:39:06. > :39:10.They've met 17 times and Djokovic has won them all. That would be the

:39:11. > :39:12.upset of the week if Berdych can put out Djokovic tonight. That's how the

:39:13. > :39:21.group stands at the moment. Moment. out Djokovic tonight. That's how the

:39:22. > :39:27.group stands at the moment. What happened here? It was spinning back

:39:28. > :39:36.over the meant. A total mishit from Roger. You don't see that often. Tim

:39:37. > :39:42.and Andrew, was it a howler? It was horn doubts. That was a bad one. He

:39:43. > :39:50.had to make some ground but that's a mishit wasn't it? It was. He needed

:39:51. > :39:54.to get up to it quicker. Trying to play the ball a long way in front of

:39:55. > :39:59.him and Nishikori had guessed the right way. Federer may have slightly

:40:00. > :40:04.taken his eye off it, but you won't see him miss too many of those. And

:40:05. > :40:09.now it's game on. Federer needs to get back to the business of hitting

:40:10. > :40:13.his spots on his serve, looking to boss the points from the baseline.

:40:14. > :40:22.Nishikori's got to keep going for it. And Federer has to play to win,

:40:23. > :40:26.no doubt 2 or 3% off in terms of his intensity at times there, including

:40:27. > :40:29.that, because he wouldn't have missed that at Wimbledon or a slam

:40:30. > :40:49.would he? Nishikori in the lead. Wouldn't have

:40:50. > :41:06.said that 20 minutes ago. I know you love this, the total

:41:07. > :41:15.point one. We've got a computer with numbers on. You love the total

:41:16. > :41:19.points won. 62 all. Because it illustrates that there are important

:41:20. > :41:24.points and slightly less important points, and recognising when they

:41:25. > :41:34.are and when is the moment for maximum effort is a part of being a

:41:35. > :41:40.professional. You would be amazed how many games are won when you win

:41:41. > :41:43.the first point of the game. It is a crucial part and too many coaches

:41:44. > :42:29.don't recognise that. UMPIRE: Game Federer.

:42:30. > :42:30.APPLAUSE. For the most part accurate serving from Roger Federer, he has

:42:31. > :42:37.to up that part of his game, because serving from Roger Federer, he has

:42:38. > :42:41.Nishikori is taking the ball on on the return. He is on top of it. We

:42:42. > :42:46.saw the backhand down the line off the kick-serve. Where is he going on

:42:47. > :42:51.these returns. When he is able to, he's winning the points. That's

:42:52. > :42:57.right. Looking at the statistics, the second set, the early part Roger

:42:58. > :43:01.Federer's first serve percentage was in the high 60s, almost 70ers.

:43:02. > :43:07.Towards the tend it dropped off, down to 56%. But you look at second

:43:08. > :43:13.serve points won, Federer only 33% for the match. That illustrates how

:43:14. > :45:03.well Nishikori has been able to dominate those rallies.

:45:04. > :45:08.A quarter to one in the morning in Japan. These pictures beaming out

:45:09. > :45:12.from London across the world. He's a Japan. These pictures beaming out

:45:13. > :45:16.big star. A lot of people will be staying up to watch him.

:45:17. > :45:19.big star. A lot of people will be morning for them. Watching their man

:45:20. > :45:33.fight back against Roger Federer. We are into a third set here, 1-1.

:45:34. > :45:49.APPLAUSE. That works. First point of a game, just slap in a clean winner.

:45:50. > :46:12.Win one of the next two points and he's well ahead in the game.

:46:13. > :46:20.Win this one and he's 0-30. Spraying the ball, he's lost control of it

:46:21. > :46:26.the last few minute, Federer. Concentration's not there. But

:46:27. > :46:48.Nishikori's level has gone up significantly.

:46:49. > :47:11.Robbie Federer not impressed, his son there shaking his head. The

:47:12. > :47:32.first serve percentage is back to 52% for the match.

:47:33. > :47:42.Federer has only won ten second serve points in his serve in the

:47:43. > :47:45.whole match. You might occasionally see that on a clay court but not an

:47:46. > :48:59.indoor hard court. UMPIRE: Advantage Federer. Nishikori

:49:00. > :49:03.working so hard in these points. Having had love horse, he'll be

:49:04. > :49:22.bitterly disappointed if he loses this game. -- having had 0-40 he'll

:49:23. > :49:31.be bitterly disappointed if he loses this game.

:49:32. > :49:36.He was talking about experience. He's so experienced in the game,

:49:37. > :49:41.there's nothing he hasn't done or achieved. We talked about it

:49:42. > :49:45.endlessly. He said to me last week that it is useful but it can be a

:49:46. > :49:49.hindrance. He said over the years I have learnt what I am supposed to

:49:50. > :49:54.do. I know what the percentages are and the possible outcomes, and

:49:55. > :50:01.sometimes I want to play. Even if it means hitting the back fence on the

:50:02. > :50:06.rise, he wants to keep that youthful exuberance. Just to interest his own

:50:07. > :50:10.mind. That's what he has done so well throughout his career. He's

:50:11. > :50:14.been playing the main tour since he was 17 or 18. That's half his life.

:50:15. > :50:19.He's been able to maintain that enthusiasm, that passion for the

:50:20. > :50:24.game. The passion for tournaments, for travel, for training. Let's hope

:50:25. > :50:27.it lasts, because he is still playing great tennis. He's number

:50:28. > :50:32.three in the world. He's been knocking on the door of Grand Slam

:50:33. > :50:38.title. When his coach, Stefan Edberg, also a legend, when he

:50:39. > :50:42.retired he a year, he announced it, and everywhere he went there were

:50:43. > :50:48.champagne and flowers and ceremonies. I said to Ronner when

:50:49. > :50:53.you announce your retirement, are you going to do the grand tour, and

:50:54. > :50:57.he said no, that would be buying. It would be good if you have one last

:50:58. > :51:04.year and collect all the presents and gifts and then say actually I

:51:05. > :51:10.had a really nice time, I will do that again. Do you think if he said

:51:11. > :51:15.I'm going to have one more year they'll give you more gifts?

:51:16. > :51:18.Probably not for you. No, I don't think they would extend the

:51:19. > :51:39.invitation beyond a year. Six points in a row for Federer.

:51:40. > :51:41.Nishikori needs to stop the rot. We talked about the importance of the

:51:42. > :53:16.first point in the game. Really impressive from Nishikori,

:53:17. > :53:18.changing the direction well. Federer looking to turn defence into attack,

:53:19. > :53:45.but Nishikori able to keep him back. APPLAUSE. Are we picking up swear

:53:46. > :53:57.words again? He's got APPLAUSE. Are we picking up swear

:53:58. > :54:50.to choose from. Must have been We could

:54:51. > :54:53.as being not that important for Federer, but you can see by his body

:54:54. > :54:57.as being not that important for language he doesn't want to let this

:54:58. > :55:29.go. He wants to maintain his form and get three wins from this group.

:55:30. > :55:42.Oh, he did not... He's going to take it as a little piece of brilliance.

:55:43. > :55:47.I'm fairly sure he'll never make this shot again in his career.

:55:48. > :55:57.Tsonga does this on occasion, just takes the hand off. He controlled

:55:58. > :56:00.that brilliantly. When they go by, you go, are you serious? It should

:56:01. > :56:21.be deuce. And it's away. You could say that backhand was a

:56:22. > :56:25.one in a million shot, but I think it was even luckier than that.

:56:26. > :57:04.one in a million shot, but I think Federer will be saying,

:57:05. > :58:09.And that's how it can change. 0-40 on his own serve in the previous

:58:10. > :58:15.game. He comes back and wins five points. And that's the match player

:58:16. > :59:05.right there, break point. Climbed all over it. Risks it.

:59:06. > :59:51.That's a feature of Federer's game that has changed over the last two

:59:52. > :59:55.or three years, that willingness to go after the half-volley on the

:59:56. > :00:00.backhand and resist on that side. He'll come over that ball and try to

:00:01. > :00:04.maintain his place in the court against these baseliners. Stood his

:00:05. > :00:21.ground well there. That was a tough point.

:00:22. > :00:29.Don't you bring that gentle kicker here! It was not even gentle, it was

:00:30. > :00:34.kicking like a mule. The reality is no first serves from

:00:35. > :01:25.Federer in this game. He really needs to find his target.

:01:26. > :01:29.Pretty phenomenal to watch, isn't it? Even Nishikori would

:01:30. > :01:32.Pretty phenomenal to watch, isn't admit that some of the shots that

:01:33. > :01:36.Federer plays, nobody else has, really. Half volleys on the

:01:37. > :01:39.baseline. This shot from Nishikori has so much

:01:40. > :01:43.slice tonne. I mean that has to be struck

:01:44. > :01:47.perfectly from Roger Federer here. He has tan a big swing, he is

:01:48. > :01:52.committed, not this one but the one after. He moves on, he sees that

:01:53. > :01:56.Nishikori is going back and then this, Tim.

:01:57. > :01:59.When he is playing with so much racket head speed, with a ball

:02:00. > :02:09.coming through so quickly and so low... The timing must be spot on.

:02:10. > :02:14.I find myself pausing the TV a lot it is a great way to watch

:02:15. > :02:18.sometimes. I just can't believe the way that Federer plays. There have

:02:19. > :02:25.been matches in the past, where you see shots that no-one else plays. So

:02:26. > :02:33.it is fun. I first saw him when he was 13-year-old. Peter Lundgren was

:02:34. > :02:38.coaching him. I knew he was good. Lundgren was into him.

:02:39. > :02:43.When did you first... Oh, here we go.

:02:44. > :02:46.Set two... Nishikori obviously able to get a little further up the

:02:47. > :02:52.court. Almost a third of his shots from

:02:53. > :02:59.inside the baseline. Set three, a third of his shots from

:03:00. > :03:06.six feet behind the baseline. Federer is able to get the upper

:03:07. > :03:09.hand in the baseline exchanges. Federer had 4-1 in the second set

:03:10. > :04:54.and lost it. Nishikori to serve.

:04:55. > :05:03.The first one of those. As 50 soon as the ball went up from

:05:04. > :05:11.Nishikori with the ball toss, his eyes followed it, he would have

:05:12. > :05:18.looked up and seen Roger is virtually playing a volley that.

:05:19. > :05:25.Some people have said it is a little disrespectful, the old sabre.

:05:26. > :05:29.Do you see that as disrespectful? Not at all.

:05:30. > :05:31.No, I don't, either. You have to hit your second serve a

:05:32. > :06:47.bit harder! You see rallies like that and you

:06:48. > :06:51.think if it was boxing, you are looking for the referee to step in

:06:52. > :07:40.but Nishikori keeps coming back for more. He's such a good competitor.

:07:41. > :07:49.Challenge. Roger Federer has not lost a point where he has the first

:07:50. > :07:53.serve in this second set. He is down only a quarter of them behind his

:07:54. > :08:12.second serve. There is another one that has gone away.

:08:13. > :08:21.APPLAUSE. APPLAUSE.

:08:22. > :08:28.He is lightening around the court, isn't he? Very quick. Federer was

:08:29. > :08:33.fored to come in and play a solid volley but that is where his

:08:34. > :08:37.instinct at the net is not the best. He is covering the middle. He can't

:08:38. > :09:06.get beaten down the line there with a low ball.

:09:07. > :10:22.It's not the follow-through I was taught.

:10:23. > :10:30.What a game this is. This is where Federer lost his serve in the second

:10:31. > :10:33.set. This is where Federer wants to be hitting first serves in the

:10:34. > :10:37.court. Once they get into the sec rallies,

:10:38. > :11:17.Federer only at 31% for the whole match.

:11:18. > :11:23.Relentless work from the Japanese number one, the world number eight.

:11:24. > :11:32.He refuses to go away. This is a good match. A second set that

:11:33. > :11:37.Federer has had a chance to win it. Credit to Nishikori. A couple of

:11:38. > :11:40.mistakes coming from Federer but not a great deal. He was absolutely

:11:41. > :11:47.engaged in the contest there and Nishikori won it.

:11:48. > :11:53.And in this third set, Federer is finding the mark with half-his first

:11:54. > :11:59.serves, when it goes in, he wins 93% of the points. When he misses the

:12:00. > :12:10.first serve, he is winning a fifth, three out of 15.

:12:11. > :12:14.It's interesting the implications of this, Federer is still likely to

:12:15. > :12:18.come out as the champion in this group. The winner of this group

:12:19. > :12:26.plays the runner up of the other group. The runner-up of the other

:12:27. > :12:29.group will likely be the winner of Andy Murray versus Stanislas

:12:30. > :12:37.Wawrinka. Give us a thought on that. Who would you favour? Good

:12:38. > :12:50.question... I'll go Murray at home, indoors. They have both had a good

:12:51. > :12:54.performance and a bad performance As winner takes all, it is very clear

:12:55. > :12:59.cut. They have to go out there and try to stamp their authority on the

:13:00. > :13:03.match. It is still likely to be perhaps a

:13:04. > :13:11.Federer/Murray semi-final. Who knows? It could be Federer versus

:13:12. > :13:16.Wawrinka? We saw a great one last year.

:13:17. > :13:20.A bit of needle in that one as well. Yeah, loads of needle. It added to

:13:21. > :13:23.the occasion. And then they won the Davis Cup a few days later,

:13:24. > :13:34.together. Worth the challenge.

:13:35. > :13:55.Way out. A waste of a challenge on that.

:13:56. > :14:01.174 points played. You love that, don't you.

:14:02. > :14:33.87 all. Well, this was tipping over the net.

:14:34. > :14:39.He just laid his racket tonne. Plenty of back spin on it as well.

:14:40. > :14:43.Here we go. That's the dip. Oh, he's had two hands on it. French cricket.

:14:44. > :14:48.He would be a killer at that. Very good.

:14:49. > :15:00.That's known as the shovel. Slightly behind him, wasn't it?

:15:01. > :15:06.The other by-product of a Nishikori win here would be Murray

:15:07. > :15:17.guaranteeing number two spot. Yes.

:15:18. > :15:47.End of year world number two for the first time for Andy Murray. What a

:15:48. > :15:49.year. Back from 4-1, again. Second set in

:15:50. > :15:57.a row. The first couple of points here are

:15:58. > :16:39.absolutely crucial in this game. Such a contrast when the first serve

:16:40. > :16:40.goes in. Federer is able to get on the offensive with his second shot

:16:41. > :16:56.in the rally. For the whole match, Federer, 85%

:16:57. > :17:04.when the first serve goes in. Just 30 on the second serve.

:17:05. > :17:15.And there is another. That tiedis the game up 5-4.

:17:16. > :17:19.-- Tidies. He did say that he thought that the finest serving

:17:20. > :17:25.performance of his life was at semi-final of Wimbledon this year

:17:26. > :17:30.against Andy Murray. It sort of quietly happened. There was

:17:31. > :17:34.absolutely no way back in for Murray that day.

:17:35. > :17:39.I would say it was probably the best match I have ever seen Federer play

:17:40. > :17:47.in terms of the quality, the consistency of the tennis in a huge

:17:48. > :17:50.match. He served 85% first serves. What are you going to do? Well, Andy

:17:51. > :17:56.Murray may yet have What are you going to do? Well, Andy

:17:57. > :18:00.Federer here. The semi-final is here on Saturday, the final is at 6.00pm

:18:01. > :18:06.on Sunday evening. We will have it for you here. Lots of tennis to be

:18:07. > :18:12.played between now and then. Tomorrow afternoon, Nadal in action

:18:13. > :18:17.against Ferrer with Murray v Wawrinka Friday evening. Later on

:18:18. > :18:26.this evening, if you have tickets, you will see Novak Djokovic in

:18:27. > :18:30.action against Tomas Berdych. The season ending championship on

:18:31. > :18:38.the ATP Tour. This is it for most of the players.

:18:39. > :18:43.After a long year, two weeks, three weeks off, rest, holiday and then

:18:44. > :18:50.back into training. Is there a training block then?

:18:51. > :18:56.Certainly, I think as the older you get the less time that you can

:18:57. > :19:10.Certainly, I think as the older you You don't want the body to seize up.

:19:11. > :20:08.-- totally take off. A gorgeous variation! And the

:20:09. > :20:16.amazing thing is Federer looks like he's barely breathing. And that was

:20:17. > :20:23.a brutal point for Nishikori. 66 metres, back and forward.

:20:24. > :20:24.a brutal point for Nishikori. direction. Changing slices, wielding

:20:25. > :20:29.a racket. And then at the end of it, direction. Changing slices, wielding

:20:30. > :20:30.the umpire is telling you to up.

:20:31. > :20:55.25 seconds between points! He tried to change direction, the

:20:56. > :22:58.Japanese player. He was unable to do it. 15-30. Danger.

:22:59. > :23:31.Oh, it's long. Miss-hit off the bottom of the racket. And having

:23:32. > :23:33.played such a good game to get a game up, suddenly it is a match

:23:34. > :24:18.point. That's it!

:24:19. > :24:25.break of serve. Undefeated in the group. He goes Touloning at champ. A

:24:26. > :24:31.great effort from Nishikori. A good match. It could have been very

:24:32. > :24:34.different, this one. A great contribution to the

:24:35. > :24:38.tournament once again. Kei Nishikori but it is Roger

:24:39. > :24:43.Federer with the victory. A great effort from Federer but

:24:44. > :24:47.Nishikori certainly played his part. He would not go away. And his

:24:48. > :24:53.chances in the first set, he was up a break. He kept fighting all the

:24:54. > :25:09.way. It's been a great year for him. He will enjoy his holidays now.

:25:10. > :25:12.Well, billed by some as a Roger Federer show, of course, every time

:25:13. > :25:18.he plays, and it is a great joy to see. But it took two to Tango in

:25:19. > :25:22.this one. Federer had to work hard for it. It looked a straight sets

:25:23. > :25:29.victory but in the end pushed hard all of the way. A disappointing end

:25:30. > :25:35.for Nishikori with the double fault. But Federer, once again through the

:25:36. > :25:43.semi-finals here at the World Tour Finals. An event he has won on six

:25:44. > :25:49.occasions. Houston in 2004, Shanghai in 2007 and of course twice here in

:25:50. > :25:53.London. Some of the numbers on that. The first serve percentage, lower

:25:54. > :25:58.from Federer than he would like. He won a lot of points with that first

:25:59. > :26:03.delivery. The second serve points, it dipped down. A mini contest we

:26:04. > :26:08.enjoyed watching. Nishikori strong from the back of the court.

:26:09. > :26:13.Break-point conversion perfect from Federer, six out of six. There is

:26:14. > :26:22.not much between the two players. Two hours and ten mince of contest.

:26:23. > :26:26.Roger is talking to Annabelle Croft. Well done, Roger. So many twists and

:26:27. > :26:32.turns, what is your take on the victory? It was difficult. It was a

:26:33. > :26:38.good match. Maybe more breaks than we are used to but Kei is within of

:26:39. > :26:42.the best returners of the game. He is aggressive. He took advantage of

:26:43. > :26:48.the fact with the sec serves he punished them. It was a tough match.

:26:49. > :26:53.Physical, very close at the end. It was a thrilling match. I enjoyed it.

:26:54. > :26:58.Clearly happy that I got through but Kei put in a great fight.

:26:59. > :27:03.Congratulations to him on a good year and a good match.

:27:04. > :27:08.As you say, many breaks of serve, up a set and a break. Did you have to

:27:09. > :27:13.make tactical changes to get back on track in the final set? Maybe a

:27:14. > :27:17.little bit. Honestly, I was trying to hang on, defending break points,

:27:18. > :27:23.then to have the same thing happen as did in the second set. But Kei

:27:24. > :27:26.was doing a good job of staying aggressive, going for his shots,

:27:27. > :27:31.when somebody does that well it is hard. I was concentrating, hoping he

:27:32. > :27:37.would slip a little. The double fault in the end, a fault here and

:27:38. > :27:42.there, and a good finish. It was close at the end. I was happy.

:27:43. > :27:45.You got through it. Have you a preference who you would like to

:27:46. > :27:58.face in the semi-finals? I don't know. It will be rough either way.

:27:59. > :28:04.Rafael Nadal, Stan, I don't know. It is definitely been a great World

:28:05. > :28:09.Tour Final so far. I enjoyed it. Regardless of who it is against, I

:28:10. > :28:13.am excited to be there. And of course everyone excited to

:28:14. > :28:20.watch you. And the beard is coming along nicely as well.

:28:21. > :28:24.We'll see the next time around. Well done, into the semi-finals,

:28:25. > :28:28.Roger Federer! Thank you, guys. A favourite here at the O2 Arena.

:28:29. > :28:33.The crowd loving that. Loving a competitive match. We have had a lot

:28:34. > :28:39.of one-sided matches but that was a super match. Wonderful tennis. Here

:28:40. > :28:43.are the two groups. We highlighted those through.

:28:44. > :28:49.Federer is through, Nishikori is out.

:28:50. > :28:52.Rafael Nadal is through. Nastase is in action tomorrow. But

:28:53. > :28:57.Federer is through. Look at the bottom. The only chance Berdych has

:28:58. > :29:04.of going second in the group is beating Djokovic in straight sets.

:29:05. > :29:08.That is 22 in the head to head, he has never beaten Djokovic on hard

:29:09. > :29:13.court. Djokovic just needs to win a set to ensure he is second place in

:29:14. > :29:19.the group. That match is to be played tonight. You can listen to

:29:20. > :29:28.that on Radio 5 Live sports extra. Also the doubles match on. Jamie

:29:29. > :29:33.Murray and John Pee reshgs s taking on the mighty Bryan brothers.

:29:34. > :29:41.And we are back tomorrow at 2.00pm. Rafael Nadal against David Ferrer.

:29:42. > :29:46.That is 2.00pm here on BBC Two. So, Tim, a wonderful match to watch.

:29:47. > :29:51.So many ebbs and flows. But great tennis. Two great shot makers? Very

:29:52. > :29:57.much so. Kei Nishikori put everything out there. So aggressive

:29:58. > :30:03.from the back of the court. You are used to seeing Federer dominating on

:30:04. > :30:10.the first and second set serve. The first percentage shot dropped a

:30:11. > :30:15.little bit. On the baseline serves, Nishikori did so well winning seven

:30:16. > :30:21.out of ten points. It is not an easy court to serve through. Federer will

:30:22. > :30:24.have to pick that element up of his game in the finals.

:30:25. > :30:29.And Nishikori, so different, what a battler.

:30:30. > :30:33.He proved his talent today? Allowed to be different. Two people on the

:30:34. > :30:40.court. You have to respond to what the other is doing. Maybe Djokovic

:30:41. > :30:44.played better than Nishikori. The match-up does not suit Nishikori.

:30:45. > :30:48.Everything he does well, Djokovic wants to do better. But a great

:30:49. > :30:52.response from him. I like seeing the enthusiasm from Federer. We should

:30:53. > :30:57.make the most of it while he is around. To have a big day off it is

:30:58. > :31:02.an advantage for him. Time to recover and get his body ready. But

:31:03. > :31:05.he likes the contest. Considering how he started, dropping a serve

:31:06. > :31:11.against Berdych. He was nervous. That is the thing he gets nervous as

:31:12. > :31:15.he cares. Undefeated and through to the semi-final.

:31:16. > :31:21.Stefan was on his feet, telling him to do this. It showed. We saw a fist

:31:22. > :31:26.pump from Roger when he broke in the third set. It means so much to him?

:31:27. > :31:32.Absolutely. In the third game of the match. You can see by the reaction

:31:33. > :31:36.how badly he wants it. To maintain the undefeated record in the group.

:31:37. > :31:38.It was a tough connen contest. Out there for two hours and ten minutes.

:31:39. > :31:43.The game before that on Federer's there for two hours and ten minutes.

:31:44. > :31:50.serve he was down love 40. When Nishikori had the three break-point

:31:51. > :31:54.chances. Federer dug himself out. We were looking at the points they

:31:55. > :32:00.played about 185 points. Federer in the lead by one or two in the total

:32:01. > :32:05.of of the match. Federer had six break point chances. That is a good

:32:06. > :32:10.sign. Federer could finish as world number

:32:11. > :32:15.two if Murray loses to Wawrinka and Federer is unbeaten? The main thing

:32:16. > :32:21.now is to recover, to take it easy. He will play for 45 minutes to keep

:32:22. > :32:26.it going. He really is going through the motions. He took his kids to the

:32:27. > :32:29.Natural History Museum. They loved the dinosaurs but then cowl not

:32:30. > :32:33.sleep. He is chilled out. This is what he does and he is loving doing

:32:34. > :32:37.it. We love watching him play. It was.

:32:38. > :32:55.In 2004 Rafa won it for the first up next.

:32:56. > :32:59.In 2004 Rafa won it for the first time It was so special. Novak won it

:33:00. > :33:04.in 2010. It inspires you to play your best. And last year Roger won

:33:05. > :33:08.it. Definitely one of the best moment of my life as a tennis

:33:09. > :33:14.player. And so was Stan. For me it is a dream. Something so special.

:33:15. > :33:19.This year can Andy and company follow suit? The Davis Cup, across

:33:20. > :33:29.the BBC, from next Friday. That's next week. Very exciting, but

:33:30. > :33:36.tonight at 8.30pm, the Wilderness Years, about the Davis Cup. Talking

:33:37. > :33:42.to John Lloyd. The captain is Leon Smith. He was here today and he

:33:43. > :33:47.popped up for a chat about the Davis Cup final tomorrow. Leon, so

:33:48. > :33:52.exciting. You feel the buzz even here. Everyone is talking about

:33:53. > :33:57.Davis Cup final. It is a huge moment for British tennis. Is the pressure

:33:58. > :34:01.kicking in for you? There is no escape from it. Every second

:34:02. > :34:05.conversation is built around it, but rightly so. It is a great occasion

:34:06. > :34:10.for everyone to be part of. It is a big moment for the players. You can

:34:11. > :34:15.see the commitment that Andy for one has put in. Training on clay, coming

:34:16. > :34:18.on to a hard court. What he's put into the team this year. It has

:34:19. > :34:23.built towards the final now. It is something we have to fight very,

:34:24. > :34:28.very hard for, because we don't know when it's going to come along again.

:34:29. > :34:32.It is a big moment for everybody. You were court-side yesterday and he

:34:33. > :34:37.said last week, don't expect too much from me here. Do you think that

:34:38. > :34:41.was a key from what happened yesterday? It could have been,

:34:42. > :34:47.because I know how much this Davis cup means to him. It is a lot. If

:34:48. > :34:50.you think back to the ties this year, when we played against France

:34:51. > :34:54.in particular, and then Australia. What he put his body and mind

:34:55. > :35:00.through for the team was immense. For those who don't see behind the

:35:01. > :35:08.scenes, he was really feeling it. He isn't going to go through that to

:35:09. > :35:16.not give everything for this final. I can see why. We are going to see

:35:17. > :35:28.an incredible display of fight in the final. You've been on the court

:35:29. > :35:32.with him. Just seeing what he brings out. You know him better than

:35:33. > :35:37.anything, how he can play his best in those matches. . It is

:35:38. > :35:42.incredible. Even though we know him so well, we spend so much time, he

:35:43. > :35:45.keeps surprising us. There's always new chanters come through. The

:35:46. > :35:49.moments we have to play three matches, the standard of the

:35:50. > :35:54.opposition as we've moved into the world group has got tougher. So to

:35:55. > :35:58.be able to produce that type of tennis under stress, fatigue, pain

:35:59. > :36:03.is quite incredible. But he keeps doing it. I really hope for him as

:36:04. > :36:09.much as anyone else that we can get the win. He deserves it. I know he

:36:10. > :36:13.is going to give everything for the cause. Every time he pulls on that

:36:14. > :36:16.Great Britain shirt, he really does give everything. You are the

:36:17. > :36:20.captain, the buck stops with you. He must be great to have on your side,

:36:21. > :36:33.for advice and getting his approval on things I guess? I know he really

:36:34. > :36:40.is a true leader. What's nice about him is support her his team members

:36:41. > :36:46.is incredible. We saw it abundantly in March, black the Glasgow. At one

:36:47. > :36:54.point I felt like saying, calm it, sit down and save your energy, but

:36:55. > :36:58.there he was going mental when Jamie was winning points, and against John

:36:59. > :37:03.Isner. Yes he is our superstar. For most of the time he gets the big

:37:04. > :37:07.wins for us, but he's really in it for the team. It is not about Andy

:37:08. > :37:13.Murray, but for the team. That makes me respect him even more. You must

:37:14. > :37:18.have been delighted that David Goffin only got one game off him in

:37:19. > :37:26.Paris. The big question, who is going to play the number two

:37:27. > :37:33.singles. You don't have alarea now, the appeal has been postponed until

:37:34. > :37:40.next year. You've picked Kyle Ward. You've come back from South America,

:37:41. > :37:48.you must be happy with what happened, winning a challenger in

:37:49. > :37:52.Argentina? He did very well. Playing on a clay court and against

:37:53. > :37:57.opponents both in the Top 40. He played great. This sounds like a

:37:58. > :38:03.boring broken old record, but their personal goals are as important as

:38:04. > :38:08.well. The team will take care of itself, because people will get form

:38:09. > :38:14.based on what they've been doing week in and week out. If he can do

:38:15. > :38:17.well this week and do well in Montevideo, it can mean the

:38:18. > :38:22.Australian Open. That's also important. He is 99 in the world

:38:23. > :38:26.this week. Got to cement that this week by one or two wins and then it

:38:27. > :38:28.is the Australian Open. From a personal point of view that's

:38:29. > :38:34.important. We wanted to get a reaction from all the players,

:38:35. > :38:38.whether it is Kyle Edmund, James Ward and Dan Evans. In the space of

:38:39. > :38:45.five weeks, they've all won a challenger. James Ward in India, Dan

:38:46. > :38:50.Evans in the United States and Kyle in Buenos Aires. It is one of the

:38:51. > :38:58.most difficult things you do in any leadership role is having to deliver

:38:59. > :39:00.bad news and dises is. Whatever happens it will be for the

:39:01. > :39:06.betterment of the team. It is important that we look at it on

:39:07. > :39:10.surface, match-ups, form. We'll try to tell the players as early as

:39:11. > :39:14.possible. It is very important that whoever issing picked has time to

:39:15. > :39:18.get their head around this they are going to play a Davis Cup final. And

:39:19. > :39:22.it allows us to prepare specifically. Those days before the

:39:23. > :39:27.tie starts, the match is only ready from the Monday. We can't use it

:39:28. > :39:32.before then. So it is important that you use the sessions not to just hit

:39:33. > :39:38.balls and get ready but to prepare for the matches. It could be the

:39:39. > :39:42.final rubber. An early selection could would be ideal. And for the

:39:43. > :39:47.player or players that don't get to play it is important they get their

:39:48. > :39:51.head round that and try as best as possible to support the team and be

:39:52. > :39:56.ready to be called upon if that should happen. You explained if Kyle

:39:57. > :40:01.can get a ranking up, he'll get into the Australian Open. But what about

:40:02. > :40:06.getting back too late? It is a long flight, he may not get back until

:40:07. > :40:12.Monday and you might need him to play on Friday He is hellbent on

:40:13. > :40:21.going there, and he has his career to think about. To be honest I'm

:40:22. > :40:24.happy fer the players come in a bit fatigued winning matches. I'm OK

:40:25. > :40:28.with that. Rather than three or four weeks of practise. You know what it

:40:29. > :40:36.is like. Winning breeds confidence. It is, and you are there in the

:40:37. > :40:41.moment. If it is 4-4, 30-30 in the second serve, it is not the same as

:40:42. > :40:45.being there in the match. You have to execute with commitment. I would

:40:46. > :40:50.rather the guys were playing. And all of them have been, whether it's

:40:51. > :40:55.Dan Evans, Kyle, Andy, Jamie. It is important. Kyle coming in for a

:40:56. > :41:01.debut in a Davis Cup final. I know Rafa's done it. It is a big ask. Has

:41:02. > :41:07.he had enough big matches on a big stage? Well, we won't know. That's

:41:08. > :41:12.one of the factors that if it is him that's picked, he's the one with

:41:13. > :41:16.less experience. If it is James Ward that's picked, he's got bags of

:41:17. > :41:24.experience. But there's so much going into this it is going to take

:41:25. > :41:28.a few more days to come to a decision based on who I think can

:41:29. > :41:32.win the particular match on this occasion. I think, we talk about

:41:33. > :41:36.Kyle, if it were him, he's been around it enough in terms of. He's

:41:37. > :41:41.been involved in nearly every squad for the last two or three years.

:41:42. > :41:46.He's played in slams. He qualified in the French Open this year. He's

:41:47. > :41:50.played in the first round of the French Open with the whole crowd

:41:51. > :41:53.against him. It is not like he lacks experience. Obviously this is

:41:54. > :41:59.magnified significantly. All of those things go into the mixer and

:42:00. > :42:06.the decision has to be made. Whoever you pick, in some ways it is easy

:42:07. > :42:09.for you. I hope they all stay healthy. Healthy. Thank you. All the

:42:10. > :42:16.best for next week. Thank you very much. That gets under way at Friday

:42:17. > :42:21.on 12.15 on BBC Two. Talking there about Kyle and James and that

:42:22. > :42:25.difficult decision. James has the big match experience and Kyle

:42:26. > :42:30.doesn't. The player that he want them to beat is Steve Darcis. Who do

:42:31. > :42:35.you this I has the best chance? Probably on a clay court and with

:42:36. > :42:38.recent form it is Edmond. The most important factor from that

:42:39. > :42:43.interview, after the Australian tie, the number two player, whether it

:42:44. > :42:47.was Ward, Edmond or Evans, they were hopelessly out of form. They didn't

:42:48. > :42:51.have any wins, had no momentum. It is amazing how that has turned

:42:52. > :42:55.around. It is a nice problem for Leon to have, because whether it is

:42:56. > :42:59.Edmond or Ward, they are in form. They'll be confident and they have

:43:00. > :43:04.to go in with nothing to lose. Would you go with experience or with the

:43:05. > :43:11.man that's in form on the clay? I happen to agree, with respect, with

:43:12. > :43:16.James Ward. Sounds like Leon was preparing his justification for that

:43:17. > :43:21.decision. If James is watching thissing this, maybe he knows

:43:22. > :43:25.already. Davis Cup, that's next week on the BBC. We'll be back tomorrow

:43:26. > :43:27.with Rafael Nadal against David Ferrer. Today Roger Federer was just

:43:28. > :43:38.too good again. Bye-bye. Looking forward to some first class

:43:39. > :43:50.entertainment. Nishikori really is quick. Good reaction from Nishikori.

:43:51. > :43:53.Roger Federer a set to the good. Wonderful from Kei Nishikori. And

:43:54. > :43:59.there's the break. He's right back in the second set. A little piece of

:44:00. > :44:01.brilliance. Roger Federer with the break of serve. Undefeated in the

:44:02. > :44:02.group. '..Viking, North Utsire,

:44:03. > :44:05.South Utsire, East Forties, 'southeasterly four or five,

:44:06. > :44:11.increasing six or seven,
