:00:53. > :01:04.May 27th. 2017. How will history look back on this day? Will this be
:01:05. > :01:08.the day that champions become legends? Chelsea continue to
:01:09. > :01:13.dominate English football. It all started with that double back in
:01:14. > :01:16.2017. Is this the day that shapes a club's future? Arsene Wenger has
:01:17. > :01:21.signed a lifetime contract here at Arsenal. He is the best manager we
:01:22. > :01:27.have ever had and I am glad he is staying! What happens today changes
:01:28. > :01:30.lives. Brilliant goal. Listen to the Arsenal roar around Wembley. Whose
:01:31. > :01:41.name will live on forever? The Queen has announced a new holiday in
:01:42. > :01:51.honour of Arsenal's FA Cup star Sir Theo Walcott. Breaking news from
:01:52. > :01:59.north London, Arsenal have renamed their stadium after Alexis Sanchez.
:02:00. > :02:06.Triumph. Victor Moses. The Academy Award goes to Mesut Ozil. But on
:02:07. > :02:15.this day dreams can be shattered. One mistake can ruin everything. So
:02:16. > :02:20.what will it be? On this FA Cup final day. Slightly over the top
:02:21. > :02:24.maybe! But it certainly is a day to make your name.
:02:25. > :02:28.It's an absolutely glorious day at Wembley for the 136th FA Cup final.
:02:29. > :02:31.Chelsea have already won the Premier League,
:02:32. > :02:34.now they're targeting the double in Antonio Conte's first season.
:02:35. > :02:37.Arsenal missed out on the Champions League but are chasing a third
:02:38. > :02:47.Supporters have been asked to arrive early due to increased security
:02:48. > :02:49.checks following the terror attack in Manchester.
:02:50. > :02:51.There'll be a minute's silence in memory of the victims.
:02:52. > :02:54.The thoughts of everyone here at Wembley are with all those affected.
:02:55. > :02:57.That's the view down Wembley Way right now.
:02:58. > :02:59.90,000 people making their way into the stadium.
:03:00. > :03:11.Here's a taster of what to expect from us over the next hour or so.
:03:12. > :03:13.We chart the remarkable rise of back-to-back Premier League
:03:14. > :03:32.We go back to where it all began for World Cup winner Mesut Ozil.
:03:33. > :03:40.And, Josh Widdicombe and Elis James are put to the FA Cup test.
:03:41. > :03:48.Tony Adams. Is that my voice? I went Welsh on you!
:03:49. > :03:51.Joining us in the studio we've got goals, lots of goals,
:03:52. > :03:53.Alan Shearer, Chelsea's record scorer Frank Lampard and Arsenal
:03:54. > :04:00.Seven FA Cup winners medals between them.
:04:01. > :04:08.I am going to move it on quickly. This game has everything for the
:04:09. > :04:12.neutral. It has a team that is flying with confidence. Having
:04:13. > :04:15.already won the Premier League with a manager who's looking for a double
:04:16. > :04:18.and his first FA Cup. Arsenal struggling with injuries and
:04:19. > :04:21.suspensions but with a manager going for a record-breaking 7th.
:04:22. > :04:25.Incredible. Should be a great game. Frank, in terms of Chelsea, you won
:04:26. > :04:28.the double of course with Chelsea. They've already won the league. Does
:04:29. > :04:32.it help when you have won the league to come to a Cup final or does it
:04:33. > :04:36.make any difference I think maybe it helps. They're confident. On a good
:04:37. > :04:39.run. They won the league two weeks ago now. It's how they've handled
:04:40. > :04:43.that patch that's important. They've a manager that will be pushing them
:04:44. > :04:46.and when you get so close to such history for Chelsea to do it again,
:04:47. > :04:52.then the players will be more than up for it. Different for Arsenal.
:04:53. > :04:56.It's been a poor season for them. Would this salvage it for them,
:04:57. > :05:00.victory today? Yeah, finishing out of the top four is disappointing,
:05:01. > :05:04.but if you can beat a Chelsea side, an impressive Chelsea this season in
:05:05. > :05:06.the Cup final that would be quite impressive. I would take it as
:05:07. > :05:09.success. OK. For all their success in recent
:05:10. > :05:12.times, these two clubs have met The year was 2002 and it was
:05:13. > :05:30.an Englishman in central midfield It's not just any other game, it's
:05:31. > :05:34.the FA Cup final. I never in my wildest dreams thought I can maybe
:05:35. > :05:41.play in a Cup final, but to play in five FA Cup finals is an amazing
:05:42. > :05:45.experience. 2002 probably my famous year, the one I really enjoyed the
:05:46. > :05:49.most. Chelsea were become ago real threat to probably Arsenal,
:05:50. > :05:55.Manchester United. So it started to get a special derby. The players
:05:56. > :05:59.they had, they were superb. A young Frank Lampard, young John Terry.
:06:00. > :06:06.Zola, what a player he was coming off the bench. It was a tough game.
:06:07. > :06:11.The stadium was rocking, it really was, what an atmosphere. The game
:06:12. > :06:18.itself was really, really tight. Second half opened up a little bit.
:06:19. > :06:24.Chelsea had two or three really good chances. David Seaman made a couple
:06:25. > :06:30.of really good saves. David Seaman had to turn it over the bar! I was
:06:31. > :06:38.playing centre midfield. Tony Adams picked the ball at the back. Just in
:06:39. > :06:43.time, Lampard challenged. Got into a good angle. It was really weird.
:06:44. > :06:47.When I picked the ball up, I was waiting for the runners from either
:06:48. > :06:52.side, but there weren't many red shirdz. Henry took a good run, he
:06:53. > :06:56.took players away from the ball that was perfect, it was my opportunity.
:06:57. > :07:03.All I did was open my body on the right foot. Two to his left and he
:07:04. > :07:09.shoots. Oh, Ray Parlour. Next minute it was in the back of the net. The
:07:10. > :07:14.joy, the emotion. The subs running all over you. It was brilliant. I
:07:15. > :07:20.done that every day in training but in a Cup final it's a little bit
:07:21. > :07:24.harder. We managed to score just as good a goal that was bent into the
:07:25. > :07:28.far corner. Probably the best week of my life. We went to Old Trafford
:07:29. > :07:32.five days later and won the double. What a day for everybody involved in
:07:33. > :07:35.the club. Coming off that pitch knowing you just won the FA Cup
:07:36. > :07:41.final, knowing you can show your grandchildren as you get older to
:07:42. > :07:48.say I played in an FA Cup final and lucky for me I scored in one. What a
:07:49. > :07:53.cracking goal it was as well. Well worth seeing again. Where were you,
:07:54. > :07:59.Frank? I lost it in the build-up, didn't realise that! Tracking back.
:08:00. > :08:05.What's up with you? When I start criticising everyone later on...
:08:06. > :08:10.Jogging back. Look. Marvellous. Did he really do that in training all
:08:11. > :08:16.the time? Ray was an underrated player but he did not do that every
:08:17. > :08:20.day in training! I mean, it's not great losing an FA Cup final. It's
:08:21. > :08:22.awful. We have all been there. I remember that was my first. I
:08:23. > :08:26.remember loving the day. I enjoyed it. Nothing worse than not winning
:08:27. > :08:29.and coming away losing a game like that. But the build-up was fantastic
:08:30. > :08:40.and that's what this is all about. Certainly is. Here is a reminder of
:08:41. > :08:46.how both how both teams - how both teams booked their place in the
:08:47. > :08:51.final. Breaks the hearts of Preston North
:08:52. > :09:03.End. It's 19 years since they went out at the third round stage. Pedro,
:09:04. > :09:14.lovely goal. It's Willian, it's in! Sanchez has two for company. All the
:09:15. > :09:19.time in the world. Arsenal have breezed through tonight.
:09:20. > :09:27.Costa and that has sealed Chelsea's place in the last eight.
:09:28. > :09:31.If football still has a place for dreamers then Green Lane is that
:09:32. > :09:36.place. That is surely Arsenal through to the quarter-finals.
:09:37. > :09:45.Now the eyes of the football world are on Lincoln.
:09:46. > :09:50.Sanchez, brilliantly placed. Arsenal go through to yet another FA Cup
:09:51. > :09:54.semifinal. One semifinal place left. It's a
:09:55. > :10:04.considerably big three already in there. Another big name is going to
:10:05. > :10:11.join them. Kante finds a way! Both chasing the
:10:12. > :10:18.title and hoping to win this FA Cup. Driven, brilliant goal! Their double
:10:19. > :10:25.is still on. It's part two of the big-hitting Wembley weekend. Welbeck
:10:26. > :10:30.missed it. Sanchez has scored! It's going to be an all-London FA Cup
:10:31. > :10:35.final between Arsenal and Chelsea. It most certainly is. The players
:10:36. > :10:40.are out on the Wembley turf soaking up the atmosphere. We can hear now
:10:41. > :10:45.from one of the Chelsea team. Gary Cahill. Tell us about the last week
:10:46. > :10:48.and how difficult it's been and the challenge of winning the league and
:10:49. > :10:53.keeping everybody in the right mental space and getting motivated
:10:54. > :10:56.again for today? First of all, it's been enjoyable. I spoke after the
:10:57. > :11:01.West Brom game when we sealed it and won the league. We have had a
:11:02. > :11:04.relaxed week or so, rightly so, celebrated it. We had a couple of
:11:05. > :11:09.days off. Then it was important that we got back to business in the way
:11:10. > :11:12.the manager is, they crack the whip as soon as we finished celebrations
:11:13. > :11:16.and we had a week's build-up for this game. We have been training as
:11:17. > :11:19.hard as we have all season. We are in the right frame of mind and we
:11:20. > :11:23.know that we have a great opportunity in front of us today. So
:11:24. > :11:27.much has come from the back three that has been consistent this season
:11:28. > :11:31.in terms of playing together, 28 times. How enjoyable has that been
:11:32. > :11:34.for you to captain from that position and see what the team can
:11:35. > :11:37.do? It's been amazing. It's been amazing so be part of a successful
:11:38. > :11:41.campaign with the squad and to have the armband for a lot of that has
:11:42. > :11:46.been unbelievable for myself. A lot has been made of the change in
:11:47. > :11:48.formation. It's worked well for us. We have some great personalities in
:11:49. > :11:53.there. Thankfully this season we have managed to keep players fit. We
:11:54. > :11:58.have had a lot of consistency throughout team selection. We have
:11:59. > :12:01.people coming in and out every now and again, but the players are more
:12:02. > :12:04.than capable as you have seen. We have been lucky in that respect but
:12:05. > :12:07.at the same time shown a lot of quality. We have done very well. We
:12:08. > :12:11.have had a great campaign. We have a chance now to finish it off on a
:12:12. > :12:16.high. And win an historic double. Good luck. Thank you very much.
:12:17. > :12:20.He really has had an excellent season. The teams have been named.
:12:21. > :12:25.Dan Walker can bring us up to speed. Thank you very much. Wonderful buzz
:12:26. > :12:28.down here at pitchside. About five degrees hotter than it is outside
:12:29. > :12:29.the stadium. Let's show you the two teams for the final.
:12:30. > :12:49.Starting with the Arsenal side. The first time this back three have
:12:50. > :12:53.started together. Oxlade-Chamberlain returns from a
:12:54. > :13:02.hamstring problem and fills in at left wingback. Sanchez also fit.
:13:03. > :13:06.Arsenal, several key players not here. Chelsea at full strength, that
:13:07. > :13:10.includes the keeper Courtois. He has been first choice in the Cup
:13:11. > :13:15.since the quarter-finals. The Blues have a settled defence.
:13:16. > :13:22.This back three started 28 of their 32 league games.
:13:23. > :13:27.Matic is preferred. Moses and Alonso the familiar two on the flanks. On
:13:28. > :13:31.the right, Pedro gets the vote instead of the semifinal match
:13:32. > :13:34.winner Willian. Hazard and Costa completing the line-up. There you
:13:35. > :13:38.have it. The two teams who will battle here on the Wembley turf in
:13:39. > :13:42.around about an hour's time. Will it be double bubble for Chelsea? Or a
:13:43. > :13:48.magnificent seven for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger?
:13:49. > :13:55.Chelsea at full strength. First, are you nervous about the back three
:13:56. > :14:01.forced on Arsene Wenger and Ospina in goal? Yeah, I am, if Arsenal win
:14:02. > :14:06.this game I couldn't find fans last night who said they fancy Arsenal to
:14:07. > :14:10.win especially with that back four, that back three never played
:14:11. > :14:13.together and Ospina. It's asking a lot against a Chelsea side that are
:14:14. > :14:17.just, the system is brilliant, players are playing well. They
:14:18. > :14:28.haven't a lot of choice back there because of injury and suspensions
:14:29. > :14:36.but it's a huge ask. Not started a game, Mertesacker.
:14:37. > :14:43.No real injuries for Chelsea, full strength, makes them look very
:14:44. > :14:46.strong favourites, Frank. And no European football, which they have
:14:47. > :14:52.used to their advantage. Antonio Conte working hard with the team.
:14:53. > :14:58.They make their own fortune. They have been ruthless winning games but
:14:59. > :15:03.have certainly been fortunate. Conte is very good tactically, will he
:15:04. > :15:07.target the central defence and Mertesacker in particular? 100%. And
:15:08. > :15:13.I think he will say to Costa to get into the back three as soon as he
:15:14. > :15:19.can. Definitely. Frank, you know Petr Cech very well. Will he be
:15:20. > :15:24.upset to have been left out of the final? We have seen it with other
:15:25. > :15:28.managers. Petr Cech played the quarterfinal and semifinal. I've
:15:29. > :15:33.never been a fan of that rule. You have your best players, and Petr
:15:34. > :15:36.Cech is a massive personality and a winner. They have a back three who
:15:37. > :15:39.have never played together, but having that voice and presence
:15:40. > :15:45.behind them in Petr Cech, to change that innocent cup final is very
:15:46. > :15:50.strange. -- to change that in a cup final is very strange. It's almost
:15:51. > :15:54.like he stacked it against himself. He hasn't got the central defenders
:15:55. > :15:58.he wants, and then he brings on Ospina. In the first leg of the
:15:59. > :16:01.Champions League he had a nightmare, but he hasn't let them down since.
:16:02. > :16:08.This is massive, Arsenal need this and I think Peter Petr Cech should
:16:09. > :16:14.have played. Is Arsene very stubborn? You played under him.
:16:15. > :16:19.Well, yeah. He is. He has been like that for years. But I genuinely
:16:20. > :16:22.believe in the last few months especially has been isolated and
:16:23. > :16:26.taken on everything himself. He hasn't got much help in somebody to
:16:27. > :16:33.talk with him. He ain't got no one, I believe, and that's why he looks
:16:34. > :16:36.isolated. You call it stubborn but I think it's incredible belief in his
:16:37. > :16:40.own ability. You look at the criticism around the football club.
:16:41. > :16:46.Yes, stubborn, but there is a mean and tough streak within him. I don't
:16:47. > :16:50.know about the rest of the team, but if Petr Cech has been dropped in a
:16:51. > :16:53.final, I wonder what they are thinking. No disrespect to Ospina,
:16:54. > :16:58.but I don't think it's the right message for the rest of the team.
:16:59. > :17:02.Time for a sideways look at cup finals gone by with Josh Widdicombe,
:17:03. > :17:11.Elis James, and some other comedian. This is a special FA Cup final
:17:12. > :17:20.version... I was checking my flies, sorry! Seriously! I love this
:17:21. > :17:26.already. Let's just keep this. I'm joined by two time FA Cup winner Ian
:17:27. > :17:31.Wright. Ian Wright is their! He has sent the supporters into ecstasy.
:17:32. > :17:39.And Elis James from the sitcom Josh. I've never won the FA Cup once.
:17:40. > :17:46.What's your favourite FA Cup memory? Charlie George. I'm going to give
:17:47. > :17:49.you three FA Cup final. Take it in turns to name players that played.
:17:50. > :17:55.The first one to get a player Ron loses. Best of three. If you get a
:17:56. > :17:59.substitute you can go again. If Elis James loses, you will be wearing a
:18:00. > :18:04.full England kit on television in front of your nation. Ian Rush will
:18:05. > :18:08.probably be watching. Ian Wright will wear a Chelsea kit at Wembley
:18:09. > :18:15.on the day of the FA Cup final. A full kit? I think blue is your
:18:16. > :18:26.colour. Blue is not my colour. Are you ready? No. Di Matteo. De Goey,
:18:27. > :18:58.the goalie? Incorrect. Oh no! David Seaman. Freddie Ljungberg.
:18:59. > :19:08.Ashley Cole. Bergkamp. Henry. Correct. Silva. Incorrect. He's much
:19:09. > :19:14.better than I thought he would be, Elis James. This is to save yourself
:19:15. > :19:25.from total embarrassment. Roland Nilsson. A curveball to start!
:19:26. > :19:34.Palmer. Worthington. Waddle. David Hirst. Mark Bright. To throw one in,
:19:35. > :19:45.Ian Wright. That took a while. Andy Linighan. Paul Warhurst. John
:19:46. > :19:55.Harkes. Tony Adams. I just went Welsh and new! Kevin Campbell.
:19:56. > :20:17.Graham Hyde. He was a substitute, go again. King. ... Unbelievable! That
:20:18. > :20:19.means the winner, 2-1 to Elis James. (BLEEP) hadn't realised how
:20:20. > :20:23.competitive a former professional footballer would be. Elis James,
:20:24. > :20:30.congratulations. Ian Wright, enjoy the cup final. Thanks for nothing.
:20:31. > :20:34.You will look beautiful in the Chelsea kit. A hand of friendship
:20:35. > :20:44.across London. You should sing Abide With Me in the Chelsea shirt. What
:20:45. > :20:55.was your single? The Wright stuff? You're out of order. STUDIO: I'm not
:20:56. > :21:00.wearing it! They cut a lot of my stuff out in, I did better than
:21:01. > :21:08.that. Frank Lampard on the back, I might wear it. Think how many more
:21:09. > :21:17.goals you would have got. Can't even imagine. We can hear from a man who
:21:18. > :21:20.knows what it is like to score an FA Cup final winning goal.
:21:21. > :21:24.Aaron Ramsey. The first thing he said when he walked out on the pitch
:21:25. > :21:29.was wow. That's to do with the heat. What difference will that make
:21:30. > :21:33.today? It's absolutely boiling here. We'll have to manage ourselves
:21:34. > :21:38.correctly today, go and press at the right moments. We have to be aware
:21:39. > :21:42.of the heat. You have been a matchwinner in FA Cup finals in the
:21:43. > :21:45.past. This is your winner against Hull from a few years ago. What does
:21:46. > :21:51.it mean that you personally know how to win here and Arsenal have won
:21:52. > :21:55.here recently. Does the history help? We have had great history here
:21:56. > :22:00.in recent years in the competition. We like playing here so hopefully we
:22:01. > :22:04.can have another day to celebrate. It's not been the best of seasons,
:22:05. > :22:08.your boss and the players have come under criticism. Do you feel as a
:22:09. > :22:13.group of players you owe him and your fans a performance today? I
:22:14. > :22:18.think we have let him down at times this season. He has stood by us and
:22:19. > :22:22.he believes in us. We only have ourselves to blame. But we do have
:22:23. > :22:26.something to hopefully finish the season off on a high and give
:22:27. > :22:31.something back to him, the fans and ourselves. The band are playing for
:22:32. > :22:38.you behind us. Enjoy your day today. STUDIO: Another man at the heart of
:22:39. > :22:41.the midfield battle will be the Footballer of the Year N'Golo Kante.
:22:42. > :22:47.A key man in Chelsea Pitman title success, just as he was for
:22:48. > :22:58.Leicester last season. -- a key man in Chelsea's title success.
:22:59. > :23:06.N'Golo Kante was born in Paris but grew up in the west suburbs of the
:23:07. > :23:10.city. Not the most dangerous council estate, but still a council estate
:23:11. > :23:14.with a huge sense of community. Mum was a cleaner and that was a refuse
:23:15. > :23:22.collector in a very religious community. His dad died when N'Golo
:23:23. > :23:32.Kante was 11. He stayed introvert. Started playing football. There is
:23:33. > :23:35.an amazing picture of him winning player of the tournament. In the
:23:36. > :23:37.picture all the other boys are lifting his trophy and he's standing
:23:38. > :24:10.at the side, showing his humility. No club came in to sign him, which
:24:11. > :24:30.is weird. Koscielny, Giroud, Rick Perry, they
:24:31. > :24:35.all went through the lower leagues before making it to the big time. --
:24:36. > :25:00.Franck Ribery. When he broke into the first-team, he was good.
:25:01. > :25:08.I don't think I've seen a player with so many Man of the Match awards
:25:09. > :25:12.in a row than N'Golo Kante in the second division in France. What
:25:13. > :25:16.amazes me is Kante was setting such standards in the French league for
:25:17. > :25:19.interceptions and tackles that others weren't on the case sooner,
:25:20. > :25:28.but Leicester had the jump on everyone else. Leicester said, we
:25:29. > :25:32.are the English version of your current team. We want you to do the
:25:33. > :25:37.same thing for us as you do now. They the right words to get him to
:25:38. > :25:41.sign. He was the perfect player for Leicester at that time, and for
:25:42. > :25:43.Ranieri and the way he wanted to play, for Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez,
:25:44. > :25:54.and those players. He passed his A-levels and got a
:25:55. > :25:59.degree in accounting. He good BA accountant if he wasn't -- he could
:26:00. > :26:04.be an accountant if he wasn't a football right now. I think the
:26:05. > :26:08.proof of Kante's importance has been this season, in what Leicester lost
:26:09. > :26:12.and what Chelsea gained. He felt ready after just a year, like two
:26:13. > :26:18.years in France, ready for the next step. And every next step, he
:26:19. > :26:21.delivers. Winning the Premier League, playing in the Euro rose for
:26:22. > :26:27.France as well, showing everybody that they got it all wrong. I think
:26:28. > :26:31.for him, it's sweet revenge. Nobody believed in him when he was a kid,
:26:32. > :26:34.despite being good, people said he was too small or not good enough.
:26:35. > :26:48.But look where he is now. From when he started in that council
:26:49. > :26:53.estate where he got with Leicester and where he is getting now with
:26:54. > :26:58.Chelsea, I think he deserves it all. It's a wonderful story. STUDIO: He's
:26:59. > :27:03.got a degree in accountancy. Check out these numbers, winning more
:27:04. > :27:07.games than anyone else in the last two seasons, more tackles and more
:27:08. > :27:11.interceptions than anyone else in the last two seasons. Remarkable
:27:12. > :27:15.talent. I bet he has covered more ground as well. I have never seen
:27:16. > :27:19.anyone in my football career cover as much grass in a 90 minute game as
:27:20. > :27:26.he does. Even at the end of the game, I'm sure he could do exactly
:27:27. > :27:32.the same again. There's no denying Eden Hazard's ability, but he's had
:27:33. > :27:36.his best goal-scoring season this season. We know he can do this, he
:27:37. > :27:41.has done it all season, stuffing out of moves from the off position.
:27:42. > :27:48.Going forward, interceptions in front of the back three. This is
:27:49. > :27:53.brilliant, winning it three times in the move. Passing, winning it back
:27:54. > :28:03.again. Passing again. Losing the ball and time and time again, this
:28:04. > :28:07.fella has done this. What enables Hazard to do is that he doesn't need
:28:08. > :28:11.to track back. He can win this, superb pass. He wins the ball and
:28:12. > :28:15.can play at forward to Hazard. Hazard doesn't have the same
:28:16. > :28:18.responsibility, giving him the freedom to stay up front. I know
:28:19. > :28:23.there is still a hell of a lot to do when he wins the ball here, but he
:28:24. > :28:29.wins the ball, sets his team on the front foot, and he wins it in vital
:28:30. > :28:33.positions. He hasn't done this too many times, but this was in the
:28:34. > :28:39.quarterfinal against Manchester United to set them on their way. I
:28:40. > :28:43.don't think it's a coincidence that Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill, David
:28:44. > :28:48.Luiz, they have had their best seasons in football, I think.
:28:49. > :28:52.Looking back to last season. Who had their best season? Wes Morgan,
:28:53. > :28:58.Robert Huth, Mahrez and Drinkwater, going forward. He has played a huge
:28:59. > :29:03.part in Leicester's success and the individual success of other players,
:29:04. > :29:07.and in particular Eden Hazard. You played with Claude Makelele, who he
:29:08. > :29:14.is often compared to. Better or worse, how do you compare them?
:29:15. > :29:17.Makelele was a great player, but he is something extra. Makelele
:29:18. > :29:21.patrolled in front of the back four, but he never really went forward to
:29:22. > :29:27.unleash himself. I think Kante has that ability. In terms of the
:29:28. > :29:31.Chelsea team, that is there a difference. They were pedestrian in
:29:32. > :29:36.passing last year. But Kante has added energy in a team that has gone
:29:37. > :29:40.right through them. He's an absolute pest to play against. One of the
:29:41. > :29:45.instances, might have been against West Ham, where he anticipated the
:29:46. > :29:48.past that was going to the right-winger. He gets a lot of stick
:29:49. > :29:53.for not being technically good, but he's fantastic! He has everything.
:29:54. > :29:54.but it's a huge ask. Not started a game, Mertesacker.
:29:55. > :30:00.What a first season too with Chelsea it's been for Antonio Conte. A very
:30:01. > :30:18.good player who has become an even better manager.
:30:19. > :30:24.Antonio Conte was with us in Juventus. He understood really well
:30:25. > :30:28.tactics of the game and I think he is the same as a manager. He is very
:30:29. > :30:33.good at getting inside players' minds and can get them to play with
:30:34. > :30:39.humility, pride, aggression, intensity. He was looking for
:30:40. > :30:45.something new. For me he is the best in the world.
:30:46. > :30:52.The most important teams for me is to be a team, every single player
:30:53. > :30:56.must put their talent into the team. I enjoy the season. We play
:30:57. > :31:01.different football. The system is different.
:31:02. > :31:13.Another philosophy, another type of football. He is completely
:31:14. > :31:21.different. Brilliant goal. Look what it means on the Chelsea bench.
:31:22. > :31:30.It's my first season. To win in this league, I am really proud.
:31:31. > :31:33.Arsenal have said that you are favourites t seems to be widely
:31:34. > :31:39.perceived that Chelsea are the favourite in the press, does that
:31:40. > :31:44.sit comfortably with you? I think in this type of game it's very
:31:45. > :31:52.difficult to tell if there is one favourite. I think for the
:31:53. > :32:00.motivation Arsenal could have something more than us, but for this
:32:01. > :32:05.season we work very hard in this week on the pitch. Also in the
:32:06. > :32:09.mentality to try to understand this game, we must keep great
:32:10. > :32:14.concentration. But I am sure my players want to do this. You said
:32:15. > :32:17.they may have motivation, was that your biggest challenge, to get into
:32:18. > :32:23.the right mental frame of mind after winning the league? Yeah, it's very
:32:24. > :32:28.important to keep the right concentration because when you win
:32:29. > :32:35.this league in this way, yeah, and the possibility to be bit relaxed,
:32:36. > :32:40.there is this, for sure. In this week we try to work very well, also
:32:41. > :32:46.in this aspect. Tell me the overriding emotion right now, is it
:32:47. > :32:52.excitement, nerves, anticipation? Yeah, I think a mix of all these
:32:53. > :32:57.emotions. For me it's my first final in England and yeah, I am enjoying a
:32:58. > :33:04.lot of this, there is a lot of excitement. But also I have great
:33:05. > :33:08.concentration because the final you have to play the final, to try to
:33:09. > :33:12.win. I hope you can enjoy it as well. Thank you very much. Good
:33:13. > :33:15.luck. Thank you very much. Not only his first final in England as a
:33:16. > :33:20.manager but he has never won a major final. Runner-up in 2012 with
:33:21. > :33:25.Juventus. This will be a first for him. What a fabulous start to the
:33:26. > :33:29.season he has had. Everyone has looked at his tactics but his
:33:30. > :33:34.man-management skills have been good too. Obviously, he took a team in a
:33:35. > :33:38.bad place. A very talented group and there were some individuals in there
:33:39. > :33:43.and you wonder where they're at, Hazard had, probably had his worst
:33:44. > :33:47.season in a Chelsea shirt. Costa. Mid season there were rumours and
:33:48. > :33:50.probably more than rumours, that Costa was maybe a problem on the
:33:51. > :33:57.training ground and he dealt with it and flushed it out. By the sounds of
:33:58. > :34:02.it, he gave a bit of iron fist and dealt with it. Costa is hard for
:34:03. > :34:06.anyone to manage. John Terry on the sidelines. Fabregas. Sometimes all
:34:07. > :34:11.you want is honesty from a manager. He laid it on the line with John,
:34:12. > :34:15.this is how it's going to be, John reacted well. With the group he has
:34:16. > :34:19.managed it. Someone with the experience of John Terry and a lot
:34:20. > :34:23.of power he has at Chelsea, but when you are winning football matches as
:34:24. > :34:26.the manager has done for the vast majority of the season that's an
:34:27. > :34:32.easier situation to handle rather than results going against you.
:34:33. > :34:35.Costa the player. I like him. I am a huge fan of his. I tell you why,
:34:36. > :34:41.because part of the job as a centre forward is to walk off a pitch
:34:42. > :34:45.knowing that you have upset the centre halves. That you have given
:34:46. > :34:48.them a tough time. You do not want centre halves walking off the pitch
:34:49. > :34:53.thinking I have had an easy job today. Rarely in this Guy's career
:34:54. > :34:57.and in games that defenders will do that, he is a bully. He is push you
:34:58. > :35:01.around. He can have a fight with you. But he has ability. He can hold
:35:02. > :35:07.the ball up. He can bring his teammates into the game. He has a
:35:08. > :35:12.nasty side to him which... All of that. But at the end of the day he
:35:13. > :35:17.has ability. He can score goals. He is a real handful. He strikes me, I
:35:18. > :35:21.have seen a few clips of him off the field, he is probably actually quite
:35:22. > :35:25.an enjoyable bloke to have around in the dressing room. Yeah, I get that
:35:26. > :35:28.impression. He makes me laugh. I love watching, he makes me laugh
:35:29. > :35:33.when you see incidents like that. You can see once they won the title,
:35:34. > :35:36.he is obviously lively in the dressing room. The boys react to
:35:37. > :35:43.him. I love him. I do love him. Only because he winds defenders up, like
:35:44. > :35:48.you did. Is he a good chap? He is, he is great in the dressing room.
:35:49. > :35:52.Two faces, one on the pitch. If he is angry, and talking about his
:35:53. > :35:55.future, if he doesn't want to be at the club next year it might not be
:35:56. > :36:00.so good. Big decision for Chelsea in the summer. Chelsea fans haven't had
:36:01. > :36:04.much to complain about this season. It's been a different story for The
:36:05. > :36:11.Gooners in a tumultuous campaign. No one has kept a closer eye on events
:36:12. > :36:15.at the Emirates, here is Robbie Lyle. Arsenal and Chelsea, looking
:36:16. > :36:20.forward to the game. If we can pull this off and win this game, manager
:36:21. > :36:24.stays on for you? No. Winning this only papers over the cracks. Doesn't
:36:25. > :36:29.make up for the season that we have had. It's poor, every single year.
:36:30. > :36:34.Every year. So, it doesn't paper the cracks. So you don't think he should
:36:35. > :36:38.sign a new deal? No, absolutely not. He should not be signing a new deal.
:36:39. > :36:44.What about you? It will be a great achievement if he won today. A
:36:45. > :36:49.record, 13 times. It will be a record. He would beat George Ramsay
:36:50. > :36:53.who won seven, eight times. Incredible manager, we are lucky to
:36:54. > :36:57.have him. Hopefully sign a two-year contract and... Can he sign a new
:36:58. > :37:04.deal? He was poor in the league. He was noor the Champions League. Is
:37:05. > :37:09.this like, like he was saying, paper over the cracks? You have to look at
:37:10. > :37:14.the job of all. And what he has done. He has been a magnificent
:37:15. > :37:24.manager for halfway through, but listen any team that has the
:37:25. > :37:28.invincibles, 1888 when Preston North End did it, only played 12 games. Do
:37:29. > :37:35.I need to go on? Best scenario for you today? Win the game, Arsene
:37:36. > :37:39.Wenger says goodbye. The team we are playing sacked their most successful
:37:40. > :37:46.manager and they're on to win the double. The fans are singing they
:37:47. > :37:55.want him to stay, sums it up. Best scenario? We win. Two opposites
:37:56. > :37:59.here. The main thing is we all want Arsenal to win today. Let's get this
:38:00. > :38:04.victory. He really does divide opinion. A win
:38:05. > :38:08.today will see Arsene Wenger overtake George Ramsay. He will
:38:09. > :38:14.become the most successful manager in FA Cup history with seven. The
:38:15. > :38:18.first of which was in 1998. He spoke to Dan Walker. Thank you for talking
:38:19. > :38:22.to us. A chance for you personally to make history today winning a 7th
:38:23. > :38:27.FA Cup. No manager has done that before. That would be a significant
:38:28. > :38:34.achievement. Well, you want in my position, you want to do it, you
:38:35. > :38:40.have worked hard to get here. You want just to win the competition.
:38:41. > :38:43.For the club and for the team. Indirectly it will be as well I will
:38:44. > :38:47.be very happy if we do it. Talk about the team selection. The
:38:48. > :38:54.opposite number has had a relatively easy selection, you have had a few
:38:55. > :39:02.choices. Yes, because we lost three centre-backs in one week. Last night
:39:03. > :39:06.we lost Kieran Gibbs who had to go home sick during the night. So
:39:07. > :39:09.decisions were not so difficult because it's not many defenders
:39:10. > :39:13.left. This season, particularly this week, you have said that some of the
:39:14. > :39:20.criticism you have received has been a disgrace which are strong words.
:39:21. > :39:28.Do you feel that a win would silence critics today? No, I believe that
:39:29. > :39:31.99% of the Arsenal fans are fantastic people who stand behind
:39:32. > :39:37.the team and you want to play for them. OK. Enjoy the final. See you
:39:38. > :39:41.afterwards. Thank you very much. If you are wondering what Arsene Wenger
:39:42. > :39:43.is actually talking about on that particular thing about the disgrace,
:39:44. > :39:49.let's see what he said earlier on Football Focus.
:39:50. > :39:55.The lack of respect in some stages has been, for me, a disgrace. I will
:39:56. > :40:00.never accept that. I believe there is a difference between being
:40:01. > :40:05.criticised and being treated in a way that human beings don't deserve
:40:06. > :40:08.to be treated. Well, they are strong words, criticism against some
:40:09. > :40:13.Arsenal fans. Latterly he has made it 99% of them are absolutely onside
:40:14. > :40:18.and stuff. What do you make of that? I don't think you can ever deny the
:40:19. > :40:22.love and passion and what he has done for Arsenal Football Club. But
:40:23. > :40:25.I don't think there is any doubt of what's happened in the last three or
:40:26. > :40:30.four months with the indecision, whether he is staying or going, has
:40:31. > :40:36.hindered the football club, on the pitch. I think too many players have
:40:37. > :40:39.hidden behind that and used that as an excuse. Because of the position
:40:40. > :40:43.that they're finished in the league, then yeah, you are right, fans are
:40:44. > :40:47.divided. But there is no way it's helped the last few months. We might
:40:48. > :40:50.find out in the next few days why he has been keeping it back from
:40:51. > :40:55.everyone. Do you think some fans have been a disgrace in the way
:40:56. > :41:03.they've behaved? Yeah. Fans have a right to criticise. Of course they
:41:04. > :41:07.do. You know, you hear it a lot, 20 years, he has done more than enough
:41:08. > :41:09.in 20 years to be treated more respectfully than he has been,
:41:10. > :41:13.especially when you see some stuff on social media. Do you expect,
:41:14. > :41:16.rumours is that he will announce there is a two-year contract he will
:41:17. > :41:19.sign, do you think that will happen? I think he will probably sign, I
:41:20. > :41:23.don't think he will want Arsenal to be left out of the top four and
:41:24. > :41:26.maybe not winning this game today. It's not successful for him. Unusual
:41:27. > :41:30.circumstances where a manager seems to have the overall say. That seems
:41:31. > :41:33.to be the case at Arsenal. Yeah, I mean, I am with you, it's too
:41:34. > :41:39.negative around him and something has to change. If he stays, they
:41:40. > :41:42.need to placate fans and change structure, bring in a coach, change
:41:43. > :41:46.the line, it looks like they're stuck in a way and everyone else has
:41:47. > :41:49.moved on a little bit. That's what it looks like from the outside. Do
:41:50. > :41:55.you think if he was going to leave it would be better to go out having
:41:56. > :41:59.won this today? Yeah, I still believe that he, I hard him say not
:42:00. > :42:03.long ago he believes this team can win the league. Some people say he
:42:04. > :42:06.is delusional or whatever, the fact is that for somebody saying that,
:42:07. > :42:11.that doesn't say he wants to leave. I guess we will find out at some
:42:12. > :42:16.point. One man who has silenced critics this season is David Luiz.
:42:17. > :42:19.More than a few eyebrows were raised when the Brazilian defender returned
:42:20. > :42:27.to Stamford Bridge but he has been a standout performer.
:42:28. > :42:50.# I can see clearly now the rain has gone...
:42:51. > :42:54.David, this season has been fantastic for Chelsea. But for you
:42:55. > :43:01.in particular it's been brilliant. What was the reason for coming back?
:43:02. > :43:04.My dream, it was my dream to win the Premier League. My first here I
:43:05. > :43:12.didn't get to win. Many people didn't understand why I come back. I
:43:13. > :43:16.had a great life in France, great club. But I think if you don't take
:43:17. > :43:20.a risk in life you never test something new. I wish to test
:43:21. > :43:23.something new and that's why. There's been some ex-players who
:43:24. > :43:26.have commented on the fact that you seem to have matured since you have
:43:27. > :43:34.come back to Chelsea. Do you think it's a fair comment? I want to be
:43:35. > :43:38.more mature every day, if I think I know everything, this is so bad. So,
:43:39. > :43:41.I try to improve every day as a person, as a brother, as a son, as a
:43:42. > :43:47.player, whatever. I try to improve. I love to learn. I think this is the
:43:48. > :43:53.right way if you want to be a nice person. My mum, my dad, my family, I
:43:54. > :43:58.think they are everything for me. When I left my family when I was 14
:43:59. > :44:04.and they supported me always, doesn't matter if it's so far or
:44:05. > :44:08.not, they always were present in my life and now I bring them when I
:44:09. > :44:12.can. Of course they bring luck, positivity and energy, positive vibe
:44:13. > :44:17.and it's nice to have them near me. I know that you are quite close to
:44:18. > :44:22.some of your teammates and Diego Costa in particular. I have a great
:44:23. > :44:27.relation with him, I love him, I love the way he is. Nice
:44:28. > :44:30.personality, he has amazing history. He is a great person and great, it's
:44:31. > :44:35.better to play on his side than against him.
:44:36. > :44:42.He is so different off the pitch and on the pitch. Yellow he's still ugly
:44:43. > :44:50.off the pitch! But it's true he's totally different. And Willian. He
:44:51. > :44:54.has been my great friend since I was eight. And your neighbour. He can't
:44:55. > :44:59.live without me, that's why I came back! A piece of quick thinking from
:45:00. > :45:16.David Luiz. The double, I think Chelsea just got
:45:17. > :45:19.it one time, so we need to do it with our feet on the ground, working
:45:20. > :45:25.hard. That's our way during the whole season. We have to play at a
:45:26. > :45:30.high level two win against Arsenal. It was Antonio Conte's first season
:45:31. > :45:36.in the Premier League. The first time you were working with him. How
:45:37. > :45:44.key was he to your success? He is a winner. He loves to watch football.
:45:45. > :45:48.He's a guy. He tells me I want to work high everyday. He said, are you
:45:49. > :45:52.ready. I said yes, that's why I came here. That's why he has done a great
:45:53. > :45:57.job in his first season. There are still things to do, big things to
:45:58. > :46:03.do. Let's try to win the FA Cup also. We have brought you a little
:46:04. > :46:08.surprise. A belated birthday gift from everyone. Thank you so much.
:46:09. > :46:23.Sideshow Bob! Thank you, BBC. STUDIO: We are very generous souls.
:46:24. > :46:27.David Luiz answering his critics. I think three at the back has helped
:46:28. > :46:34.him. It has. And with Kante in front, that has given them more
:46:35. > :46:39.security. And Azpilicueta as well has been there to help him. And Gary
:46:40. > :46:44.Cahill is having the season of his life as well. He has that protection
:46:45. > :46:51.in all areas. Speaking of Azpilicueta, or Dave, as they call
:46:52. > :46:54.him in the Chelsea dressing room, he has been remarkable. One of those
:46:55. > :46:57.unsung heroes, but he has made more passes in the Premier League than
:46:58. > :47:03.any other player this season. And he has been ever present. What I like
:47:04. > :47:07.about him is that he's proactive, trying to press into midfield.
:47:08. > :47:12.Recovering with pace and desire. He has no right to put him under that
:47:13. > :47:15.pressure to stop the goal. He has speed and perception. He knows where
:47:16. > :47:19.the danger is. You can get there early. He goes back from right back
:47:20. > :47:24.to covering central areas. He wants to get tight. When it is the ball is
:47:25. > :47:28.going behind he has the speed and awareness to get going early. And
:47:29. > :47:33.Paul Pogba is no slouch. At the end he has composure as well. He has
:47:34. > :47:37.made his own that position, between right back and centre-half. He
:47:38. > :47:41.recovers so quickly and he has grown. That composure, we haven't
:47:42. > :47:44.seen that from him before. We wonder if he has the height to play
:47:45. > :47:50.centrally, but he wins that through commitment. He knows where he needs
:47:51. > :47:54.to be. And he wants this to step into midfield, make the different.
:47:55. > :47:59.Gets it out of his seat, quality ball to Costa, whose scores. He has
:48:00. > :48:03.four assists this year from a centre-back. This is the goal that
:48:04. > :48:08.wins then the league. Coming from right wing. An unsung hero, but he
:48:09. > :48:11.has played every minute of every game this season. In a squad as
:48:12. > :48:17.squad as strong as Chelsea's with John Terry and Kurt Zouma breathing
:48:18. > :48:22.down his neck. The managers talking in the tunnel. Respect being shown
:48:23. > :48:28.for each other's abilities, skills and successes over so many years.
:48:29. > :48:31.Conte came out the other day and said how Wenger should be respected
:48:32. > :48:36.more for what he has done. I totally agree. We have seen from the fans
:48:37. > :48:40.that they want some form of change. Somewhere along the line, some form
:48:41. > :48:45.of change. The board or the manager, something has to change. 20 years
:48:46. > :48:48.since a foreign manager first won the FA Cup with Chelsea. Ruud Gullit
:48:49. > :48:55.was the man in charge. He is with Gabby Logan. 20 years and since he
:48:56. > :48:58.walked out at the old Wembley with Chelsea, who were on the precipice
:48:59. > :49:02.of a new era of winning trophies. The atmosphere today is as special
:49:03. > :49:08.as ever. Does it take you back? It was a fantastic day. I saw it as a
:49:09. > :49:13.kid and then to walk that long walk out of the tunnel, that was magical
:49:14. > :49:19.for me. Chelsea had scars on every single seat of the Chelsea fans
:49:20. > :49:23.here. -- had scarves will stop there is a sea of blue around us. You have
:49:24. > :49:28.crystallises between Chelsea and Arsenal. Chelsea are secure in
:49:29. > :49:32.themselves because they have already won something. On the other hand,
:49:33. > :49:37.they hope something happens. It's natural. A difficult season for
:49:38. > :49:42.Arsenal, if they want to get something out of this season, it's a
:49:43. > :49:45.trophy. Chelsea have already talked about a bit of complacency before
:49:46. > :49:49.the match, because they have won something. Maybe they could relax,
:49:50. > :49:54.but this could be the icing on the cake if they win this as well. It
:49:55. > :50:02.would be an historic double. Gary talked about it in the studio, what
:50:03. > :50:06.Conte can do with man management. Coming into a club that finished
:50:07. > :50:11.tenth, hardly adding to the personnel. Motivation shouldn't be a
:50:12. > :50:15.problem. He has a good team and they are all professional, but be aware
:50:16. > :50:20.of some players who might get a bit easy going. David Luiz could be a
:50:21. > :50:25.player like that, sometimes he's easy. But I think he's very
:50:26. > :50:30.energetic. He is on the team all the time. As long as you win, it's OK.
:50:31. > :50:35.And there comes a period also when things are not going so well, that
:50:36. > :50:41.could irritate some players. We saw it with Mourinho when Hazard had a
:50:42. > :50:45.difficult season. It all depends how you win and if you win. I know you
:50:46. > :50:53.are confident for a Chelsea win. Yeah, 2-1. This time next year, we
:50:54. > :50:57.will be just two weeks away from the Russia World Cup. Four world
:50:58. > :51:01.champions featuring today, Pedro, Fabregas, Mertesacker, and the man
:51:02. > :51:10.who divides opinion like few others, Mesut Ozil.
:51:11. > :51:21.I am proud of where I come from. It's my home, Gelsenkirchen. When he
:51:22. > :51:28.came to our school in 2000 he was just an ordinary school kid. You see
:51:29. > :51:31.in the classroom he was really focused on maths, English, whatever
:51:32. > :51:37.else. He was humble and shy. You wouldn't imagine he could be such a
:51:38. > :51:38.rocket, an explosion when he's on the pitch. A totally different
:51:39. > :51:59.personality. I played with him when I was, I
:52:00. > :52:03.think, five, and when we won the Game 10-0, he sometimes scored eight
:52:04. > :52:08.goals or something like that. He would dribble through opponents. It
:52:09. > :52:12.was great. His technique was great at this time. Especially his game
:52:13. > :52:21.intelligence. Always with his head up. Like Xavi or Iniesta. The same
:52:22. > :52:31.capabilities, scanning the players more than other players. You do
:52:32. > :52:40.wouldn't think he was 17 or 18. He was like he was 30. With his
:52:41. > :52:44.composure. A small guy, really shy. Kept trying to hide himself, didn't
:52:45. > :52:48.know how to talk to me. And then I saw how he played on the pitch.
:52:49. > :52:55.Amazing. Playing with Mesut Ozil, you have to be careful with what he
:52:56. > :53:04.will do. I told him, never put a bad ball in here, because I will kill
:53:05. > :53:09.you! Brilliant from Ozil! In many ways he's the perfect Arsenal
:53:10. > :53:12.player. He has the technique, the pace. He's not going to be the
:53:13. > :53:16.player who runs up and down the pitch and wins all the tackles and
:53:17. > :53:23.starts pumping his fists. Ozil, beautiful. A top team always needs
:53:24. > :53:27.players that try to play the through pass. It's normal and clear that not
:53:28. > :53:34.every through pass can reach the other player.
:53:35. > :53:40.When Germany won the World Championship in 2014, there were a
:53:41. > :53:44.lot of discussions going on between German football fans, where should
:53:45. > :53:49.Ozil play, couldn't he play better? I think sometimes it isn't fair to
:53:50. > :53:53.him. Because he does more in games and sometimes fans think. I think
:53:54. > :53:57.what Germany have done quite well is to create a system around him where
:53:58. > :54:00.he doesn't necessarily feel he has to do everything. I think that
:54:01. > :54:06.Arsenal sometimes it can look like he's not trying or not interested.
:54:07. > :54:10.But I think more often than not, it's down to a lack of organisation
:54:11. > :54:13.and direction as far as the whole team is concerned. Put him in the
:54:14. > :54:21.Real Madrid team, put him in the Germany team, and you see a very
:54:22. > :54:24.different Mesut Ozil. At Arsenal there are some good players, yes,
:54:25. > :54:30.but when you have played with Cristiano Ronaldo, it's much better
:54:31. > :54:38.when you play with Olivier Giroud somebody like that? People say he's
:54:39. > :54:41.the best player you can have at ten. Others say he is lazy. We talk about
:54:42. > :54:47.body language. I know this discussion. He's always like this,
:54:48. > :54:49.his face is like he doesn't want to play. But we know this is Mesut
:54:50. > :55:12.Ozil. Sanchez, could come back to Ozil. It
:55:13. > :55:16.does. It's three! There are times in every season in the last few years
:55:17. > :55:21.where he's been in touch with his potential and fulfilled it and
:55:22. > :55:25.people talk about him being one of the best players of his generation.
:55:26. > :55:30.But because we haven't seen it consistently throughout a whole
:55:31. > :55:33.season, I think there will always be that nagging doubt at the back of
:55:34. > :55:42.people's nines about just how good he is. -- people's minds.
:55:43. > :55:53.They either like him or they don't. Ian Wright? I do like him. It's
:55:54. > :55:57.quite interesting listing to Rafa Honigstein and his old team-mates
:55:58. > :56:01.talking about what he's like. When you watch him in games like this,
:56:02. > :56:05.against Sunderland when Sunderland were down, his energy and drive. He
:56:06. > :56:10.can murder teams like this. This is stuck. Look at him go. Great ball
:56:11. > :56:17.from Sanchez. Criticism that he is a flat track bully. These games
:56:18. > :56:21.against Sunderland, Stoke and Watford, the energy he has trying to
:56:22. > :56:26.get in. This was when Chelsea were not performing. Him and Sanchez were
:56:27. > :56:32.fantastic. Bielik brilliant, energised. He gets in there and does
:56:33. > :56:36.his stuff. What happens is when Arsenal are not playing well, he
:56:37. > :56:43.does things like that. People judge him by his reaction. He can close
:56:44. > :56:47.down closer there, but that's not what he's about for me. When you
:56:48. > :56:52.have the kind of players around him, like people say in the video, like
:56:53. > :56:56.Ronaldo at Real Madrid, he looks like a much better player. He got a
:56:57. > :57:00.lot of stick for this. But the way he plays and Howard he is, I know
:57:01. > :57:06.what he can create. I'm not bothered about that. Does he do enough? When
:57:07. > :57:11.you consider the goal against Chelsea was his first against a top
:57:12. > :57:12.six side, then no. Paying out money for him, you want him to perform in
:57:13. > :57:29.these games, massive games. Consistent enough? For me, a bit of
:57:30. > :57:35.a luxury. In the Premier League, you have to have 11 players. We had Di
:57:36. > :57:40.Canio, who was a luxury, at West Ham. But we knew we were average and
:57:41. > :57:44.he did the extra. He is world class and can change the game today. There
:57:45. > :57:48.is no denying that he has huge ability. I would just like to see
:57:49. > :57:54.him doing more in big games. When you mention the word flat track
:57:55. > :57:58.bully, one goal this season against any team that finished in the top
:57:59. > :58:02.half. That's not enough. I think he needs to do more in big games. What
:58:03. > :58:07.an opportunity to ram that down everybody's through today. The same
:58:08. > :58:10.can't be said of Alexis Sanchez? A very good player. I think he has
:58:11. > :58:17.been asked's best player again this season. -- Arsenal's best player.
:58:18. > :58:22.Down the middle, left, right, wherever. More often than not, he
:58:23. > :58:26.has come up with the goods, the goals, the assists. He is a very,
:58:27. > :58:31.very good player. He seems to like this place as well, Wembley.
:58:32. > :58:37.Remarkable record, six goals in five games for club and country here. Won
:58:38. > :58:41.all five of the matches as well? He could be the difference. You talk
:58:42. > :58:47.about Ozil, but this man, the pace he has got to dribble the ball, do
:58:48. > :58:52.something special. 13 of his goals for Arsenal have been outside the
:58:53. > :58:56.box. He can score from anywhere. He gets frustrated that some of the
:58:57. > :59:02.players around him are not as confused as he is. I think that is
:59:03. > :59:04.where his frustration comes from. -- not as enthusiastic. He will
:59:05. > :59:08.deliver, he will get something from this game, and that is something you
:59:09. > :59:13.cannot level at a lot of these players. Eddie Newton, representing
:59:14. > :59:16.Chelsea, Sol Campbell representing Arsenal. They are coming out to
:59:17. > :59:21.present the trophy. They wave to both sets of fans. There is the FA
:59:22. > :59:27.Cup that they are all chasing this afternoon. Such a strong favourite,
:59:28. > :59:33.Chelsea, quite unusual. Chelsea against Arsenal, you would think it
:59:34. > :59:34.would be quite even. That doesn't block to be the case, prior to
