:00:00. > :00:24.Time to turn our attentions to the Cup.

:00:25. > :00:26.Eight teams remain in this season's Emirates FA Cup as the quarter-final

:00:27. > :00:33.weekend got underway and a trip to Wembley for the winners

:00:34. > :00:36.First stop is the Emirates as Arsenal welcomed Lincoln City -

:00:37. > :00:43.the non-league side who have taken this season's competition by storm.

:00:44. > :00:56.Over the top for Robinson. Catch them if you can. This link loco is

:00:57. > :01:01.not for stopping. Lincoln City are through in the dying seconds! It is

:01:02. > :01:10.Robinson. It is three! They have only gone and done it. Their FA Cup

:01:11. > :01:16.adventure continues. Brilliant! It is in! The first time in 103 years

:01:17. > :01:19.the FA Cup has a non-league side in the last eight!

:01:20. > :01:21.So this is history in the making.

:01:22. > :01:31.They standard their incredible journey in front of 765 spectators

:01:32. > :01:37.and now the eyes of the football world are on Lincoln City as they

:01:38. > :01:42.strive to become the first non-league FA Cup semifinalists

:01:43. > :01:47.since 1912. Arsenal 12 times cup winners should win but given the

:01:48. > :01:49.wretched week they had, who knows. A collective of brilliantly

:01:50. > :01:52.inconsistent individuals against a consistent individual collector.

:01:53. > :02:00.Arsene Wenger lay down a challenge to his players to show they care as

:02:01. > :02:14.he makes just to changes. Kieron Gibbs coming on. Lincoln unchanged,

:02:15. > :02:18.and they have three Arsenal found in the side including Jack Muldoon who

:02:19. > :02:28.will still be in a Pilates class with his mum on Thursday.

:02:29. > :02:35.It is a noisy Emirates Stadium and the Lincoln fans are making all the

:02:36. > :02:46.noise. Bold run again from Kieron Gibbs forcing the corner. Short

:02:47. > :02:50.corner. Kieron Gibbs. Incomes Koscielny and Olivia Shirov. Back to

:02:51. > :02:59.Walcott. Koscielny Bacchin and squeezed out by Luke Waterfall. Good

:03:00. > :03:05.save from Paul Farman. Denying Theo Walcott a fifth FA Cup goal this

:03:06. > :03:21.season. That is the closest we have come so far.

:03:22. > :03:26.Arnold. Nathan Arnold! Petr Cech said but only just. Nathan Arnold

:03:27. > :03:34.nearly wrote himself into the pages of FA Cup folklore. Petr Cech denied

:03:35. > :03:45.him. The best that we have seen from Lincoln City and that is what Nathan

:03:46. > :03:49.Arnold can do to you. Kieron Gibbs. Mesut Ozil, virtually the whole game

:03:50. > :03:53.has been played in the Lincoln house. Arsenal have created very

:03:54. > :04:02.little, Lincoln have stopped them doing so. Nearly wet all the way

:04:03. > :04:10.through, Olivia Shirov. Pushed away by Paul Farman. Got a second

:04:11. > :04:20.quickly. Here's Aaron Ramsey. Mesut Ozil. A little mob. Olivia Shirov,

:04:21. > :04:25.back in for Theo Walcott and he gets it now. Theo Walcott! Arsenal have

:04:26. > :04:29.the lead on the stroke of half-time. Lincoln City, their first-half

:04:30. > :04:37.endeavours undone and can they now come back is the big question? Theo

:04:38. > :04:41.Walcott, his fifth goal in the FA Cup run this season. No player left

:04:42. > :04:47.in the competition has scored more than him. Placed it well. Lincoln

:04:48. > :04:53.failed to get the second ball away. Deflected, bad as the big

:04:54. > :05:00.deflection. Arsenal really had to work for it. Lovely ball slid up to

:05:01. > :05:07.Olivia Shirov. Kieron Gibbs arriving. Olivia Shirov, parried by

:05:08. > :05:13.the goalkeeper. Kieron Gibbs! Could not get over the ball. Paul Farman

:05:14. > :05:18.did well to stop that from Olivia Shirov because it came from behind a

:05:19. > :05:27.defender. Paul Farman could only parry. Kieron Gibbs could not put

:05:28. > :05:41.in. Theo Walcott coming away from his man who allows him to ten. -- to

:05:42. > :05:52.turn. Mesut Ozil. Ms kick, Theo Walcott. Bellerin, Olivia Shirov and

:05:53. > :05:55.it is 2- nil. Well worked by Arsenal, they cut through Lincoln

:05:56. > :06:01.City and they're heading to the FA Cup semifinals barring a miracle

:06:02. > :06:05.comeback the National League team. Movement on and off the ball, Theo

:06:06. > :06:12.Walcott got into that position with clever movement. Good run from

:06:13. > :06:16.Bellerin. The comeback nice and simple, the goal simply executed.

:06:17. > :06:23.But this game has been far from simple for Arsenal. And the Cowley

:06:24. > :06:27.boys have got to comeback from two down. Arsene Wenger said today in

:06:28. > :06:34.this match programme notes, it was the Arsenal challenged to show care.

:06:35. > :06:43.And they have done today, I think. Bellerin. To Mesut Ozil. Space for

:06:44. > :06:49.Kieron Gibbs. Here is Alexis Sanchez. Out to Bellerin, lovely

:06:50. > :06:53.touch with Doctor terrific effort but wide. Did everything right

:06:54. > :06:58.except put it in the back of the net. Tried to bend it, just wide.

:06:59. > :07:02.Lincoln City now look like a team that has played 46 games this

:07:03. > :07:08.season. Since the turn of the year they have been playing weekend,

:07:09. > :07:12.midweek, we can, midweek and will continue that way through the rest

:07:13. > :07:21.of the season. Here is Alexis Sanchez. Mesut Ozil, Bellerin. Mesut

:07:22. > :07:30.Ozil has been as bright as a button since he came on. Alexis Sanchez to

:07:31. > :07:34.Kieron Gibbs. It is in off Luke Waterfall. Arsenal have a third.

:07:35. > :07:45.Lincoln City had held their own but suddenly Arsenal home and dry.

:07:46. > :07:54.Pre-nil to Arsenal. -- three. Alexis Sanchez.

:07:55. > :07:58.Brilliantly placed for an Arsenal fourth. They have put Lincoln City

:07:59. > :08:04.to the sword in the end. From the moment Bradley would miss timed this

:08:05. > :08:11.lunging tackle, Alexis Sanchez was favourite and has the class to

:08:12. > :08:15.produce that kind of finish. Arsenal have passed the ball well today and

:08:16. > :08:24.Lincoln had to do so much chasing. They look exhausted. Back to Alexis

:08:25. > :08:37.Sanchez. Clever movement again from Mesut Ozil. Poorly placed. Back to

:08:38. > :08:42.Alexis Sanchez. At the far post. And walked into the back of the net for

:08:43. > :08:47.an Arsenal fifth. Aaron Ramsey completes the victory. Lincoln City

:08:48. > :08:53.are out on their legs after such a wonderful odyssey through the FA

:08:54. > :08:56.Cup. Perhaps more history in this season but accommodation lies ahead

:08:57. > :09:01.for Arsenal but the team who have stirred Romeu back into the FA Cup,

:09:02. > :09:21.Lincoln City, are beaten team. -- stirred romance.

:09:22. > :09:32.Petr Cech made sure of that he had to make the save. The Lincoln boys

:09:33. > :09:50.are tired now. All credit to Arsenal. That is poor. It hits the

:09:51. > :09:56.bar. Aaron Ramsey teed himself up. Lovely effort by Alexis Sanchez.

:09:57. > :09:59.There is the final whistle. Lincoln City, they run comes to an end, the

:10:00. > :10:04.end of the Odyssey. They've done the FA Cup proud, the name of football

:10:05. > :10:08.proud. But there are beaten team at Arsenal today.

:10:09. > :10:13.In the second half Arsenal were frightening and it was a pleasure to

:10:14. > :10:19.see world-class players first time. Prasad felt like a long 45 minutes.

:10:20. > :10:22.It felt like Arsene Wenger had brought 15 players onto the pitch

:10:23. > :10:26.second half. We respect we will be fish and chip paper at Monday

:10:27. > :10:30.morning but if we can learn from experience today, playing against

:10:31. > :10:34.world-class players and throughout the FA Cup journey, then we will be

:10:35. > :10:39.better players and better people as a consequence. That is what we must

:10:40. > :10:42.make sure we do. They were well organised, they have clarity in

:10:43. > :10:47.their mind off what they wanted to do. And to give credit to the

:10:48. > :10:54.manager, when he gets that across to his team. The way he dealt with his

:10:55. > :10:59.players after the game, I think he has done exceptionally well. I know

:11:00. > :11:01.what they're like, they are winners and they would have been

:11:02. > :11:07.disappointed and I did not want them to miss this opportunity to

:11:08. > :11:11.celebrate with our supporters. Because we are not celebrating the

:11:12. > :11:15.loss, we are celebrating the journey we have had. It has been a tough

:11:16. > :11:21.week, one of the toughest in your career? I do not know. When I have a

:11:22. > :11:27.problem I always just try to sort it out. I am competitive. Always

:11:28. > :11:31.focused on solving the problem is that I face. And when you have

:11:32. > :11:36.sorted one out you straightaway have another. Sometimes the size of the

:11:37. > :11:43.problem is bigger and sometimes a bit smaller but you do not worry. It

:11:44. > :11:46.was crazy, all the game, I just could not stop smiling. I was

:11:47. > :11:51.turning around and smiling at the fans, it was on rail just a brush

:11:52. > :11:54.shoulders with the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, basically

:11:55. > :12:00.the whole team was world-class. That will live long in the memory. Couple

:12:01. > :12:03.of times I gave my head shake and any time there was a break in the

:12:04. > :12:08.game I was trying to take in as much as I could because it will probably

:12:09. > :12:14.not happen again in my career. What mementos have you got from the day?

:12:15. > :12:18.I have got Petr Cech, he signed his shirt for me. That will go up in my

:12:19. > :12:22.man shed in the bottom of the garden!

:12:23. > :12:27.We are all the same, the Romantics amongst us wanted something to come

:12:28. > :12:31.from that but it was a step too far. Arsenal are classified odyssey. But

:12:32. > :12:37.the first 40 minutes or so, they were a match for them. They were a

:12:38. > :12:40.match for them. And defensive qualities were superb. In general

:12:41. > :12:44.looking at the achievement, for a national team to get to the

:12:45. > :12:48.quarterfinals in the FA Cup is a great achievement. As a collective

:12:49. > :12:52.the club and fans are so proud of what they have achieved. Looking at

:12:53. > :12:57.the organisation defensively, it does not happen by accident. This is

:12:58. > :13:01.work and preparation by the managers, the players, buying into

:13:02. > :13:04.this belief that they can keep Arsenal and Bay and they did that

:13:05. > :13:09.for the best part of 40 minutes. Getting bodies behind the ball,

:13:10. > :13:12.affecting the ball, not letting Arsenal penetrate. Making them go

:13:13. > :13:18.around the sides. Arsenal have the lion's share of possession. Getting

:13:19. > :13:23.amongst the Arsenal players, not showing them too much respect. I

:13:24. > :13:29.thought it was excellent. Nathan Arnold working really hard. And the

:13:30. > :13:34.central defenders were exceptional. They were so physical in the box,

:13:35. > :13:37.powerful. Stayed alive to the second phases of the game. And put pressure

:13:38. > :13:43.on the ball. This is against Arsenal. The better team against

:13:44. > :13:47.Bayern Munich midweek for the first part of the game. And they kept them

:13:48. > :13:51.at bay and when they got the chance to go for it they looked dangerous

:13:52. > :13:55..biz from Nathan Arnold, a great move. Ghost to the side and it takes

:13:56. > :14:00.an unbelievable saves from Petr Cech. That could have been 1- nil.

:14:01. > :14:07.And then you find out about the character of the Arsenal team. The

:14:08. > :14:12.revitalised the FA Cup. The Romantics, the fairy tale. They have

:14:13. > :14:16.been absolutely incredible. As good as they wear and is well organised,

:14:17. > :14:19.were you surprised that Arsenal seemed just not to have enough

:14:20. > :14:20.aggression or commitment. In the first half they did not seem to

:14:21. > :14:29.really be mentally in that match. Arsenal did not want to make

:14:30. > :14:36.mistakes. The handbrake was firmly on. This goal that Theo Walcott

:14:37. > :14:42.scores, they got very static, Lincoln. They defended well, though.

:14:43. > :14:48.It was one pass after another. It was a cool finish, just before

:14:49. > :14:52.half-time. Perfect for Arsenal. It is some accolade to see to Lincoln

:14:53. > :14:58.that Arsenal needed a goal to settle down. They should be better, and

:14:59. > :15:02.they were in the second half. The goal from Giroud wrapped things up

:15:03. > :15:07.in the second half. Arsenal use this as an exercise to get back to where

:15:08. > :15:11.we expect them to be. They played with swagger, but Lincoln can leave

:15:12. > :15:16.the stadium with their heads held high. Trevor, you have personally

:15:17. > :15:20.invested in this journey. You have been to the club a few times. You

:15:21. > :15:24.have observed the brothers. What will they take from this experience,

:15:25. > :15:29.apart from the financial rewards? They will remember it for the rest

:15:30. > :15:34.of their lives, and so will the fans. There will be a large sense of

:15:35. > :15:39.achievement, pride. Danny Cowley was talking to the players after the

:15:40. > :15:46.game, saying, enjoy this, the fans have turned out. 9000 at the

:15:47. > :15:49.Emirates Arena, an amazing achievement for a National League

:15:50. > :15:53.side. There are six points clear in the league. The players have bought

:15:54. > :15:57.into it at the football club. They have a big future, the team and

:15:58. > :15:59.certainly the manager. The community is engaged as well. We

:16:00. > :16:03.all appreciate what they have done. The day's other tie took place

:16:04. > :16:05.at the Riverside as Middlesbrough, struggling in the Premier League,

:16:06. > :16:12.welcomed Pep Guardiola's Manchester Pep Guardiola says of Manchester

:16:13. > :16:17.City do not win any silverware and it will not be a good season as he

:16:18. > :16:23.lives to lead them into their first ever semi-cup -- first FA Cup

:16:24. > :16:29.semifinal in four years. Any sort of left for Middlesbrough would be

:16:30. > :16:33.welcome in their predicament. Those on Adam Clayton's mother's side of

:16:34. > :16:39.the family are all City fans. For one day, they are hoping that he can

:16:40. > :16:43.help Middlesbrough upset the odds. Claudio Bravo maintains his run of

:16:44. > :16:48.starting in the FA Cup. He has kept only six clean sheets in his 25

:16:49. > :16:53.appearances for the club. He looks to help City to their first

:16:54. > :16:58.semifinal in four years. The third bottom in the Premier League against

:16:59. > :17:05.third top in the Premier League. Forget about domestic issues for at

:17:06. > :17:10.least 90 minutes. Middlesbrough zero Manchester City out of the FA Cup in

:17:11. > :17:14.four of their last five meetings. They will have to put in a

:17:15. > :17:25.performance to continue that in this particular game.

:17:26. > :17:31.Zabaleta is free. Surely it will go in in the end? It does from David

:17:32. > :17:36.Silva. Disastrous from Middlesbrough, just past the two

:17:37. > :17:42.minute mark. Manchester City already in front. David Silva has weighed in

:17:43. > :17:49.with his sixth goal of the season, his second in the FA Cup. Look at

:17:50. > :17:52.the space that Zabaleta Kaz. Then David Silva made absolutely sure.

:17:53. > :18:00.Totally unmarked. They could not miss. Middlesbrough, who outscored

:18:01. > :18:06.only 19 league goals all season, have to find one against the team in

:18:07. > :18:07.the top three in the Premier League. 4500 Manchester City fans have come

:18:08. > :18:21.north. They are in good voice. Manchester City giving away

:18:22. > :18:31.possession unnecessarily cheaply. The cross from Fabio was blocked by

:18:32. > :18:34.Sterling. The first cross of the cup tie for Middlesbrough. This may be

:18:35. > :18:42.an area that Middlesbrough feel they can profit from. Leadbitter's

:18:43. > :18:53.corner. And they have not. Claudio Bravo almost conceding. This is the

:18:54. > :18:58.second one. Gestede, just over. Middlesbrough thought they were

:18:59. > :19:06.over. Zabaleta was the important defender. Bravo was unconvincing.

:19:07. > :19:10.This could be problematic for Middlesbrough. Silva had time. De

:19:11. > :19:23.Bruyne could not get there, beaten to it by Fabio. NICE survive. --

:19:24. > :19:32.Middlesbrough survive. That was wonderful from Silva. Sane. It

:19:33. > :19:41.should have been 2-0. He would agree. Watch this from David Silva.

:19:42. > :19:52.Sliding behind Sane but he should have made better contact than that.

:19:53. > :20:00.Really well done by Sane. Waltzing his way through. Sterling was beaten

:20:01. > :20:05.to it. An injection of pace, the drop of the shoulder. He was past

:20:06. > :20:15.Barragan. He could not pick out Raheem Sterling.

:20:16. > :20:22.The cross from de Roon. The header from Stuani. Straight at Claudio

:20:23. > :20:43.Bravo. This is what Middlesbrough have to do, be direct.

:20:44. > :20:51.Toure looking for the ball over the top. Back from De Bruyne. Can

:20:52. > :20:57.Sterling finish? He cannot. Another Manchester City chance goes begging.

:20:58. > :21:03.No wonder he looks worried. They should have been out of sight. He

:21:04. > :21:14.had time, it took the touch. Then he got underneath it.

:21:15. > :21:25.Fabio, outnumbered in the end. This is De Bruyne, with Sterling on his

:21:26. > :21:33.right. He has seen him. Raheem Sterling, looking for Aguero.

:21:34. > :21:37.Middlesbrough survive, yet again. Sterling's delivery, the perfectly

:21:38. > :21:41.timed run from Aguero. There was a touch from Guzan. Just the faintest

:21:42. > :22:03.of touches to take it on the post. Silva, with space and time. Back to

:22:04. > :22:09.Silva. It was a good strike. It has been sent away for a corner by

:22:10. > :22:15.Guzan. He had time to assess the situation, David Silva. The keeper

:22:16. > :22:24.was at full stretch. That is cleared only as far as Sane. The German

:22:25. > :22:29.international might fancy a try. Guzan was required again. It was an

:22:30. > :22:36.excellent effort from Sane. It was definitely going in. It was well

:22:37. > :22:40.watched by Guzan. He does not want any dramatic the Manchester City end

:22:41. > :22:44.in the remaining minutes. 21 trophies in seven seasons as a

:22:45. > :22:47.manager. He is close to taking another step towards one in his

:22:48. > :23:05.first season at Manchester City. The Sane, in full stride. -- Sane,

:23:06. > :23:10.in full stride. Into worse Aguero. Finally, the scoreline has a more

:23:11. > :23:15.realistic look about it. Sergio Aguero, four in four in the FA Cup,

:23:16. > :23:22.with the goal that could see his team in an FA Cup semifinal for the

:23:23. > :23:27.first time in four years. Created by Sane. What about that for a

:23:28. > :23:32.delivery? Aguero did the rest. It has been a long time coming, but

:23:33. > :23:41.eventually City have the two goal advantage.

:23:42. > :24:03.That was awkward for Guzan. Sterling following in. He is offside. Aguero

:24:04. > :24:07.with the drop of the shoulder. As he struck it, Sterling was probably

:24:08. > :24:22.offside. It was a close call. He is taking on Otamendi, going

:24:23. > :24:26.around him. Towards Negredo. Then Fabio. Virtually of the line by

:24:27. > :24:35.Stones. That would have made it interesting. Fabio had to head it.

:24:36. > :24:38.Stones had to clean it. It was outstanding, from the beginning. The

:24:39. > :24:43.goal was the consequence of our approach, it was brilliant. There

:24:44. > :24:47.was one period in the first half, for 15 minutes, we missed easy balls

:24:48. > :24:53.and you can always see the counterattack. Middlesbrough are

:24:54. > :24:56.dangerous with the crosses. It was a good performance in the second half.

:24:57. > :25:00.I regret how many chances we created and how few goals we scored. Even

:25:01. > :25:07.conceding the goal, the team was good, the crowd was good. The last

:25:08. > :25:10.game were awful for us. I was a little bit concerned with the

:25:11. > :25:13.atmosphere, especially when we conceded the first goal. But this

:25:14. > :25:18.group has been working together for the last three years. It was

:25:19. > :25:23.important to win the game in 90 minutes. Especially because we

:25:24. > :25:27.played a couple of days ago against.... We have a massive game

:25:28. > :25:33.on Wednesday against Monaco. It was really good to go through to the

:25:34. > :25:38.next round. -- against Stoke. It will be special to go back to

:25:39. > :25:42.Wembley. When I was a football player, we played the final

:25:43. > :25:47.Champions League at the old Wembley. When I was Barcelona manager, I won

:25:48. > :25:50.a second Champions League at Wembley. I have good memories.

:25:51. > :26:00.People talk about the atmosphere, Saturday and Sunday, four teams,

:26:01. > :26:04.four sets of supporters. I am very pleased to be able to live that.

:26:05. > :26:08.Those goals are fast as that Manchester City of scored in any

:26:09. > :26:12.competition this season. The speed of their start maybe Middlesbrough

:26:13. > :26:17.start look even more sluggish and the defending worse. Karanka said he

:26:18. > :26:21.thought his team were magnificent, but there are things they could do
