:00:32. > :00:39.Welcome to The Emirates FA Cup third-round replay between

:00:40. > :00:43.non-league Lincoln City and 1859 places above them, Ipswich Town of

:00:44. > :00:47.the Championship. The players are in the tunnel getting ready to run out

:00:48. > :00:51.to what will be an emotional and rapturous reception. They came so

:00:52. > :00:55.close to victory at Portman Road ten days ago and what a story it would

:00:56. > :00:59.be if they can tonight clinch that win and take themselves into the

:01:00. > :01:05.fourth round of the FA Cup for the first time since 1976 when this man

:01:06. > :01:08.was in charge. Probably the biggest advantage I

:01:09. > :01:16.have, I think, is that I'm allowed to manage, and I think that goes a

:01:17. > :01:20.long, long way. I feel that it's my forte, I think that I've got

:01:21. > :01:24.qualities as regards coaching. I think that's what I ought to be

:01:25. > :01:29.doing. It's a spectator sport and people come to be entertained, they

:01:30. > :01:33.come to be excited. I see my role as being an employee of Lincoln City

:01:34. > :01:37.now and doing my best so that if I'm here in ten years' time then I've

:01:38. > :01:43.set something up well for the club. The sound of hitting a football

:01:44. > :01:47.thrilled me. My playing career is over, I'm very fortunate I'm a

:01:48. > :01:48.manager and I'd like to remain once simply so I can hear a football

:01:49. > :02:00.being struck. Well, when injury cut his playing

:02:01. > :02:05.career short he started his managerial career at just 28 years

:02:06. > :02:09.old and had five fantastic years here, culminating in winning the old

:02:10. > :02:12.fourth division and he will be remembered fondly tonight and the

:02:13. > :02:16.bands will show their appreciation with a minute's applause just before

:02:17. > :02:20.kick-off. Alongside me current manager of Lincoln City Danny

:02:21. > :02:23.Cowley. Fantastic, just moments away from what could be an historic

:02:24. > :02:27.evening. How much of an inspiration is Graham Taylor to you? Just a

:02:28. > :02:33.proper football man, really humble and dignified. When we first arrived

:02:34. > :02:38.at the club ceremony supporters spoke about Graham and the legacy he

:02:39. > :02:42.left and the way he connected the players with the City and the people

:02:43. > :02:47.and it is something we have tried to continue with. How many times over

:02:48. > :02:50.the last ten days have you thought we were so close, it was a missed

:02:51. > :02:54.opportunity? The thing I was most pleased about from the game ten days

:02:55. > :02:57.ago was the fact when we came into the dressing room afterwards there

:02:58. > :03:01.was a tinge of disappointment amongst us all we were able to go

:03:02. > :03:05.toe to toe with a Championship club was something we were proud of and

:03:06. > :03:11.the fact we got so close and just a little short. Alongside you, of

:03:12. > :03:16.course, former Ipswich Town captain Terry Butcher, Trevor Sinclair.

:03:17. > :03:21.Trevor, what a match it was and what a moment it was and how close they

:03:22. > :03:24.came. Credit to the Lincoln City players and staff, they put

:03:25. > :03:28.themselves about, competed well and were close to winning. If it wasn't

:03:29. > :03:32.for Tom Lawrence's brilliance and scuffing one in for the second they

:03:33. > :03:36.would have been in the fourth round. The Welsh international online from

:03:37. > :03:39.Leicester saved the day, said Mick McCarthy's blushes. He did and he

:03:40. > :03:44.got two goals on Saturday against Blackburn, the second one was a

:03:45. > :03:47.rocket. Danny Willett have him well marked in this game because he is a

:03:48. > :03:52.threat. The atmosphere, we are getting butterflies in the stomach,

:03:53. > :03:55.you must be having to bring the players down to somewhere where they

:03:56. > :03:58.can appreciate this but at the same time they have a job to do. How

:03:59. > :04:03.tough was that early in the dressing room? I think so, the atmosphere is

:04:04. > :04:06.unbelievable, not something we are used to, there are 10,000 people in

:04:07. > :04:11.here tonight and we have to enjoy this experience, use the supporters

:04:12. > :04:14.and use their energy but still play with our heads. A little fun and

:04:15. > :04:17.frivolity in the dressing room but you seemed to get the message across

:04:18. > :04:22.of what the job is tonight and that is to get through to the fourth

:04:23. > :04:26.round for the first time since 1976. Best of luck, go and join your

:04:27. > :04:29.brother Nicky in the dugout and we will hopefully speak to you later.

:04:30. > :04:31.What an historic win it would be. You are looking through this through

:04:32. > :04:45.slightly blue eyes from an Ipswich perspective and they have

:04:46. > :04:47.made changes to night, Mick McCarthy has been given a second chance.

:04:48. > :04:49.Straightaway after the win against Blackburn on Saturday, Mick McCarthy

:04:50. > :04:52.said this is about experienced players and has made changes, as did

:04:53. > :04:54.Danny in the game against Gateshead last Saturday. Fresh legs but it

:04:55. > :04:57.will be the same game, if not more intense than the first one. You are

:04:58. > :04:59.so impressed with the setup here and what the Cowley Brothers have done,

:05:00. > :05:02.you came here ahead of Football Focus third-round ten days ago and

:05:03. > :05:06.you just saw a managerial setup that is not missing any attention to

:05:07. > :05:11.detail, which we hope to see later on. But right now, the crowd here

:05:12. > :05:17.will applaud for a minute ahead of kick-off and remember the manager

:05:18. > :05:18.who won the fourth division here in his five years. Former England

:05:19. > :06:30.manager Graham Taylor. Such appreciation and huge love for

:06:31. > :06:34.Graham Taylor here. I am going to hand you over to your commentary

:06:35. > :06:41.team Jermaine Jenas and David Pearce. COMMENTATOR: Not so many

:06:42. > :06:47.nights like this at Sincil Bank. Throbbing with events to come and

:06:48. > :06:51.tinged with sadness. I was privileged to know Graham and his

:06:52. > :06:57.generosity and friendship, and his smile of course, and he would love

:06:58. > :07:02.this. All setup, Lincoln City, one defeat in 21, unbeaten in ten FA Cup

:07:03. > :07:05.ties, looking for the fourth round for the first time in 41 years when

:07:06. > :07:09.Graham took them to West Brom. They have their dangers, the likes of

:07:10. > :07:15.Robinson upfront, already six goals in five FA Cup ties this season.

:07:16. > :07:21.Unchanged from the first game. Six of the side rested for the game

:07:22. > :07:29.against Gateshead. Nathan Arnold Andy Robinson only have gone beyond

:07:30. > :07:34.that. Ben Toner with a job to do, the referee. Ipswich in the blue and

:07:35. > :07:38.white will get us off and under way. Under fire from disgruntled fans,

:07:39. > :07:44.brittle form, injury hit, former cup winners but without a single victory

:07:45. > :07:56.in the competition since 2010. A recipe for a giant stew. Watch out

:07:57. > :08:02.for Matt Reid who is a giant upfront. You can see the Ipswich

:08:03. > :08:09.team. Two of the five changes from the Portman Road draw. Chambers has

:08:10. > :08:15.proved his fitness against Blackburn at the weekend. Best has recovered

:08:16. > :08:21.from the sickness that kept him out of the last two games. Matthew

:08:22. > :08:26.Rhead, there he is, as we were telling you about. Perfect recipe

:08:27. > :08:38.for an FA Cup giant steel. Mick McCarthy's 900 game, needing the

:08:39. > :08:42.win. This is a dangerous run straightaway from Nathan Arnold who

:08:43. > :08:51.can be so tricky down the right-hand side. Back to the right-back Bradley

:08:52. > :08:55.Wood, England C International. Never been beyond this, hoping to go

:08:56. > :09:01.beyond this, goal kick to Ipswich. You saw the first game? Yes, you

:09:02. > :09:04.mentioned Arnold he was a prominent figure in the first one cause and

:09:05. > :09:08.Ipswich Town a lot of problems and that's what he will need to do again

:09:09. > :09:12.today, with the three at the back Ipswich have started with the back

:09:13. > :09:18.of their win at the weekend that is where the spaces will be in the

:09:19. > :09:21.white areas with the wingbacks pushing on and those balls from

:09:22. > :09:31.midfield will have to be played more often for Lincoln. The manager is

:09:32. > :09:34.Billy Cowley and his brother is Nicky. Remarkable work at Braintree.

:09:35. > :09:44.Doubling up as secondary school PE teachers as well. The school is in

:09:45. > :09:48.Essex. Now they are full-time here and steering Lincoln City, it would

:09:49. > :10:02.seem, back into the Football League. They were relegated in 2011. Mick

:10:03. > :10:08.McCarthy, so experienced. In old club football, 24 years, six jobs,

:10:09. > :10:11.including the Irish manager's job. 900 games. But he's under pressure

:10:12. > :10:21.and knows it and he needs a victory tonight, that's for sure. Douglas in

:10:22. > :10:31.midfield wearing 22, now 35, the Irishman. Experienced midfielder.

:10:32. > :10:33.Here's 30. Watch out for Young Grant Ward. He started at Tottenham

:10:34. > :10:38.Hotspur and didn't make the grade. He scored a hat-trick on the opening

:10:39. > :10:48.day of the season. The old FA Cup type challenge. Rhead with a word.

:10:49. > :10:56.He was part of the Mansfield team that pushed Liverpool all the way in

:10:57. > :11:00.2013. That is a reminder. There will be plenty of those from Rhead going

:11:01. > :11:04.in, he is a handful and they struggled to deal with him in the

:11:05. > :11:10.first game. One of the type of players who is perfect to play off.

:11:11. > :11:14.Here comes the right wingback for Ipswich, Emmanuel, with a cross to

:11:15. > :11:20.the far post and beyond Douglas. He was in there. He hasn't scored this

:11:21. > :11:25.season. He was part of the Leeds team that were beaten by non-league

:11:26. > :11:32.Histon in 2008. Free kick won by Robinson. It's definitely a similar

:11:33. > :11:36.start to this game. The centre halves of Ipswich struggling, this

:11:37. > :11:41.time it is Robinson causing the problems to error. The more they can

:11:42. > :11:52.get the ball to those two upfront the more opportunities they will be

:11:53. > :12:00.able to create for themselves. Our first came here in a quarterfinal in

:12:01. > :12:06.2011 - 12. Habergham's free kick into the penalty area. They used

:12:07. > :12:17.three centre-backs at the weekend against Blackburn. Decent run by

:12:18. > :12:33.Hawkridge. Dean Gerken, the Ipswich Town cup goalkeeper. His third

:12:34. > :12:37.appearance of the season. There does not seem to be a great deal of pace

:12:38. > :12:43.in the Ipswich midfield trio. What do you think? Mick McCarthy has gone

:12:44. > :12:48.for experience, in the first game he felt it was a bit lightweight in the

:12:49. > :12:54.midfield area. That is a good throw out to Lawrence. Very much their

:12:55. > :13:00.danger man. Opens things up to manual but drops a little bit short.

:13:01. > :13:03.Hawkridge winning it back and they look to counter quickly. Here is

:13:04. > :13:11.Nathan Arnold, he could be key. Stabbed away by Chambers, kept in by

:13:12. > :13:14.the goalkeeper. It is a nervy start from Ipswich, not what Mick McCarthy

:13:15. > :13:18.would have wanted. They have not been able to get the ball on the

:13:19. > :13:22.deck and Jet2 passes together. They could get a lot of joy down the

:13:23. > :13:25.right-hand side with Arnold and he will be asking more from his side,

:13:26. > :13:31.Mick McCarthy. He could do without the injuries, Coldrick and Pitman,

:13:32. > :13:36.but he has Tom Lawrence, full of confidence, his 100th career game on

:13:37. > :13:47.loan from the champions Leicester, four goals in his last two. That is

:13:48. > :13:54.Cole Skuse. Jonas Knudsen, the Danish international, and a Danish

:13:55. > :13:57.cup winner when he was there. Skuse towards Grant Ward, who came off the

:13:58. > :14:00.bench on the opening day of the season to score a hat-trick of the

:14:01. > :14:07.first Ipswich substitute ever to do it. The challenge by Luke Waterfall,

:14:08. > :14:12.the captain of the home side. A player who has never reached the

:14:13. > :14:23.third round, powerful, very good in the air, the two centre-backs.

:14:24. > :14:31.Described as front foot defenders. Knudsen with the throw. Christophe

:14:32. > :14:37.Berra. He was with Mick McCarthy at Wolves of course. The backpass

:14:38. > :14:41.signifies a team playing with very little confidence. I have to say it

:14:42. > :14:45.surprised me because the way Knudsen setup on the right-hand side for the

:14:46. > :14:48.throw in was as if he has a long throw to put into the box and the

:14:49. > :14:53.players got into the right area and for him to go back to his

:14:54. > :14:59.centre-half is a of a lack of direction and the way they want to

:15:00. > :15:04.play. They haven't been beaten by a non-league side since 1960 when the

:15:05. > :15:11.Sir Alf Ramsey's team were beaten by Peter Brough. From the depths of

:15:12. > :15:22.that trough he led Ipswich to Championship success. Big burly Sean

:15:23. > :15:27.Raggett gets it away. Signed from Dover, beaten in the Conference

:15:28. > :15:31.play-off at semifinal last season. Pretty sure this one is going into

:15:32. > :15:41.the box. This will be long from UNESCO -- Jonas Knudsen. One of

:15:42. > :15:44.their tactics. There it goes. Away by Raggett again. Knudsen with the

:15:45. > :15:53.touch. Towards Nathan Arnold. skews, neatly taken down by Tom

:15:54. > :16:18.Lawrence. Lawrence did a good job. A shot from Arnold. He has ten goals

:16:19. > :16:24.this season. This will be on all day following can. Nobody for Ipswich is

:16:25. > :16:29.willing to get close enough to any players and Rhead is an absolute

:16:30. > :16:34.handful. If they can get bodies in and around him, they will have bits

:16:35. > :16:40.and pieces around the box and they will create chances. This will have

:16:41. > :16:44.felt good to Farman, the goalkeeper. Didn't have the best game at Portman

:16:45. > :16:49.Road and he will have needed that for his conference. He had a

:16:50. > :16:55.horrible moment against man's reeled in the 2006 FA Cup when he conceded

:16:56. > :17:00.in the own goal. Former Newcastle youngster. A fair few Lincoln

:17:01. > :17:04.players didn't make the grade at their first clubs and had to go

:17:05. > :17:10.away. Many travelled the non-league circuit. The way things are going,

:17:11. > :17:16.they will be back in the Football League very shortly. That's the

:17:17. > :17:21.brilliant thing about the National League. Taking those players, giving

:17:22. > :17:25.them first-team football, bringing them back into the system. What's

:17:26. > :17:29.going on at Lincoln, with the setup and what the manager wants, it can

:17:30. > :17:37.only bode well for these players and their careers. Look at the pace of

:17:38. > :17:41.Lawrence. Gets a shot away. He's scored some very good goals

:17:42. > :17:45.recently, a blister at the weekend against Blackburn and he was looking

:17:46. > :17:50.for his eighth of the season. He's dangerous, direct and full of

:17:51. > :17:56.confidence. Only one thought in his mind, shoot as soon as. Rightly so.

:17:57. > :18:04.Didn't get the contacting wanted. Very quiet off the field of play.

:18:05. > :18:07.He's got alarm bells ringing with Premier League clubs looking at him.

:18:08. > :18:15.Look at the boy Lawrence, they are saying. It turned into an inviting

:18:16. > :18:25.cross. Bending away at the last moment. Lincoln worked the ball very

:18:26. > :18:31.quickly, they press high. Very much the style of Danny Cowley and his

:18:32. > :18:40.brother. They were at Concord and Braintree, non-league clubs. Great

:18:41. > :18:45.delivery into the box. The keeper makes the right decision to help out

:18:46. > :18:51.his defenders. Running towards your own goal with a delivery like that,

:18:52. > :18:58.it usually causes own goals. Good decision by Gerken to come out and

:18:59. > :19:08.punch. Is Lawrence hobbling? That would be a real blow. Got one round

:19:09. > :19:15.beyond this last season. He was on loan at Oxford last year. Cardiff

:19:16. > :19:20.and Rotherham. He is on loan from Leicester, he's only played four

:19:21. > :19:29.games for them in two and a half years. Aggressively won.

:19:30. > :19:42.Luke Chambers missed the first game with a swollen knee.

:19:43. > :19:49.Lawrence was clipped as he turned away. They are not going to give him

:19:50. > :19:54.an easy ride because they saw how dangerous he was in the opening

:19:55. > :19:58.game. You want to get close to Lawrence because you know he can

:19:59. > :20:07.cause problems. Waterfall won't get away with many of those. 6/3-round

:20:08. > :20:11.defeats in a row for Ipswich. They haven't won an FA Cup tie since they

:20:12. > :20:25.went to Blackpool in the third round in 2010. Jack Colback scored that

:20:26. > :20:36.day. Too high. Not happy with that. Four away defeats in their last

:20:37. > :20:39.five. The owner of the club, Marcus Evans, recently backed Mick

:20:40. > :20:45.McCarthy. Backed him to get them progressing again. Grant Ward, the

:20:46. > :21:07.youngster. Tidy enough. Away by Waterfall. He's there again.

:21:08. > :21:12.That was much better from Ipswich. Willing to receive the ball in tight

:21:13. > :21:16.areas, pass the ball to each other, make Lincoln work harder to get on

:21:17. > :21:21.the ball. Lawrence got himself into a decent spot on the left. It's what

:21:22. > :21:22.they need to do to get out of the press Lincoln keep putting them

:21:23. > :21:34.under. You will often see Robinson is the

:21:35. > :21:43.furthest forward Lincoln player. Matt Reid will drop in almost to the

:21:44. > :21:51.number 10 role. It's been a feature of their play this season. We saw

:21:52. > :22:00.him a bit deeper there. A good touch from Leon Best.

:22:01. > :22:07.What form he's in, the Jamaican international. His goals in the cup

:22:08. > :22:12.against Guiseley and two against Oldham and Ipswich. He's almost got

:22:13. > :22:17.the perfect strike partner for the way he likes to play. He likes to be

:22:18. > :22:23.high up the park and play of the shoulder. The two he scored against

:22:24. > :22:28.Ipswich were brilliant strikers goals. One getting across the

:22:29. > :22:33.goalkeeper and the volley over his shoulder was textbook. Two young men

:22:34. > :22:36.making a name for themselves and the old stage who's been there and seen

:22:37. > :22:56.it. Managed at the World Cup finals. A dangerous ball looking for Rhead.

:22:57. > :23:01.Pressure in that area of the pitch. Brilliant play from Hawkridge on the

:23:02. > :23:05.right. A good touch to get it under control and knows exactly what he

:23:06. > :23:10.wants to do. He knows Rhead is on the back post and a lovely delivery.

:23:11. > :23:18.Knutson does very well to put him off. Three centre backs and the big

:23:19. > :23:24.6-foot four centre-back is left with the left back. That's what will

:23:25. > :23:25.happen at times. The defenders get dragged over to one side and it's up

:23:26. > :23:40.to the wingbacks to help out. Waterfall is that his ninth club,

:23:41. > :23:45.formerly at Tranmere and Barnsley. In PD in the air. -- he was in PD in

:23:46. > :24:07.the air. Luke Waterfall, part of the team

:24:08. > :24:10.that played so well in the first game at Portman Road when Mick

:24:11. > :24:14.McCarthy was big enough to say they were the better team and he's

:24:15. > :24:25.repeated that today. Knudsen under pressure. Cleared away by Cole

:24:26. > :24:27.Skuse. Down the line by Sam Habergham. A very settled Lincoln

:24:28. > :24:43.side. Away by Paul Digby, 21 years old.

:24:44. > :24:53.Second start this season. He's had injury problems. Suspicion of a

:24:54. > :25:01.push, but again high pressure from Hawkridge.

:25:02. > :25:13.That high pressure is a feature of the game all over the park. At the

:25:14. > :25:24.minute Ipswich are second best. He had to react quickly, Paul Farman.

:25:25. > :25:31.Risky by Woodyard, he's a better player than that. It was risky, but

:25:32. > :25:35.the keeper does the right thing. Any doubts in your mind, get your foot

:25:36. > :26:01.through it and get it away from danger.

:26:02. > :26:09.The effort by Ward was blocked. A challenge by Power. The keeper hast

:26:10. > :26:25.to come and claim. Woodyard could have scored the

:26:26. > :26:33.winning goal in the first game. Played for the Cowley Brothers at

:26:34. > :26:36.Concord and Braintree. They did remarkable work at Braintree on a

:26:37. > :27:01.tiny budget. The flag catches Theo Robinson. I

:27:02. > :27:10.think he was just offside as the ball was played. Knudsen manages to

:27:11. > :27:16.get in line and Robinson was just offside. It's an area he should be

:27:17. > :27:21.looking to. They are struggling on the left at the back. It's the area

:27:22. > :27:28.Robinson needs to get at to get some joy. This is his 13th club, nearly

:27:29. > :27:32.400 games. He scored a couple of goals for Huddersfield in a big

:27:33. > :27:39.League Cup game at St James' Park. They lost but he played well that

:27:40. > :27:47.day. He had a spell at Derby. He tended to polarise opinions in those

:27:48. > :27:55.days. Hawkridge, who is thought of very highly here. What the Cowley

:27:56. > :28:00.boys do is work very hard with their players. If they have natural

:28:01. > :28:05.ability, Mike Hawkridge and Arnold, they work on what they call the

:28:06. > :28:11.grubby side of the game, closing and pressure rising. It's a feel-good

:28:12. > :28:23.story here at the moment. Rhead was caught. Very good play. Getting

:28:24. > :28:29.himself into that area where he can be the hold-up man. He has a lovely

:28:30. > :28:34.touch for a big man. The challenge was late from Douglas. Another

:28:35. > :28:41.situation where Ipswich will have to deal with it. Just followed through

:28:42. > :28:50.on to his left knee. 11 goals this season. The first Lincoln player to

:28:51. > :28:58.20 lead goals last campaign since Simon Yeo something like 12 years

:28:59. > :29:09.ago. Looking for Waterfall. And racket. -- racket.

:29:10. > :29:16.Mick McCarthy will be pleased that they've drawn a bit of the Lincoln

:29:17. > :29:24.staying in what is a very tricky replay. He will say how many chances

:29:25. > :29:27.have Lincoln created? He will be a lot happier now than in the first

:29:28. > :29:32.five or ten minutes. At that point it was looking like a matter of time

:29:33. > :29:37.before Lincoln created a clear-cut opportunity. They've settled down.

:29:38. > :29:42.If they can get the ball into the final third a lot more, Lawrence and

:29:43. > :29:48.Best and Grant can cause Lincoln problems, but they can't get the

:29:49. > :29:52.ball. They've had no service in dangerous areas yet. A lot of people

:29:53. > :29:57.have been grumbling about Mick McCarthy's recent record at Portman

:29:58. > :30:03.Road, but they were bottom when he took over in 2012 and he's guided

:30:04. > :30:07.them to three top ten finishes in a row and the budget at Ipswich is one

:30:08. > :30:17.of the lowest in the Championship. I would think in the bottom six. A

:30:18. > :30:28.couple of signings yesterday. Midway through the half. Looking for

:30:29. > :30:30.Rhead... Robinson with a shot and a decent block. Important block by

:30:31. > :30:45.Paul Digby. Back in by Power. Hawkridge trying to shrug off the

:30:46. > :30:53.defender and open up an angle to get the cross in, and does so. Waterfall

:30:54. > :30:59.was still up there. Pressure on Ipswich. Definitely got the crowd

:31:00. > :31:05.going. Digby did absolutely brilliantly to get hold of Robinson

:31:06. > :31:09.in the situation he found himself in once he was twisting and turning to

:31:10. > :31:18.defend. A great opportunity for Robinson. The capacity here is just

:31:19. > :31:23.under 10,000. Ipswich sold 1100 of their 1500 allocation. It won't

:31:24. > :31:29.quite be full, but the biggest crowd since they played Liverpool in a

:31:30. > :31:34.friendly. The biggest competitive crowd in a decade since they played

:31:35. > :31:40.Huddersfield. Here's the chance. He does brilliantly, Robinson. Digby

:31:41. > :31:45.knew that Knudsen was in trouble and got across to help out his

:31:46. > :31:50.team-mate. What a block that is to keep it at 0-0.

:31:51. > :32:07.The touch by Lawrence. Woodyard. Charlton and Southend boy. The shot

:32:08. > :32:13.by Douglas, always passing wide. Real old-fashioned football ground.

:32:14. > :32:24.Modernised over the years. Still the old feeling like 1895 around. Just

:32:25. > :32:30.under 10,000, they think, in here. But terrific atmosphere. You always

:32:31. > :32:34.see loads of kids at an FA Cup tie, may be experiencing the FA Cup for

:32:35. > :32:47.the first time. Enthusiastic faces, one or two oldies in there as well.

:32:48. > :32:58.Here is Rhead. It's an Ipswich ball.

:32:59. > :33:03.He's been told to get back a few yards. His third FA Cup tie in his

:33:04. > :33:16.career. Goals the problem for Ipswich at the

:33:17. > :33:21.moment. With Pitman injured and McGoldrick injured it was always

:33:22. > :33:34.likely to be so. That was met by Robinson. Woodyard away. Lovely

:33:35. > :33:43.touch by Rhead. He has a soft touch for a big fellow. He definitely has

:33:44. > :33:47.and that is such a good outboard. As soon as he picks up the ball on the

:33:48. > :33:51.left-hand side he only has one thought, where is Rhead, where can I

:33:52. > :33:57.find my man? He picks him out command as you can see he is causing

:33:58. > :34:02.more problems. Wood with the throw. A suspicion of handball on the

:34:03. > :34:07.cross, not. Of course, the Lincoln fans don't think it was. Out by

:34:08. > :34:11.Best, quickly whipped around by Lawrence, lovely ball, the

:34:12. > :34:17.goalkeeper has gone out. He stumbled into Grant Ward. I think Grant Ward

:34:18. > :34:21.just fell over. That was what I was talking about, if you get them on

:34:22. > :34:24.the ball enough they have enough creativity to cause problems.

:34:25. > :34:29.Beautiful pass from Lawrence, first time, whipped over the back of the

:34:30. > :34:35.defender. Grant was chasing it. Nice to see the goalkeeper stay on his

:34:36. > :34:39.feet and not go sliding in. Definitely not a penalty. He was

:34:40. > :34:44.going down. He tripped over himself, I don't think he was looking for it,

:34:45. > :34:48.just good Ipswich play that the keeper did well. What about this

:34:49. > :34:53.one? Any time it is that close it cannot be a penalty, there is

:34:54. > :34:58.nothing he can do. It hit him around the chest anyway. Little stumble by

:34:59. > :35:07.Woodyard. Wood competitive, as he always is. Sent off four times in

:35:08. > :35:19.his Lincoln City career. Top of the National League. A remarkable

:35:20. > :35:26.turnaround for Lincoln. November 19, 89 minutes gone, they were losing at

:35:27. > :35:29.Wood Green. -- Forest Green. They would have been 19 points behind

:35:30. > :35:34.them, they won 3-2 and they are a couple of points ahead now, Forest

:35:35. > :35:46.Green. Wonderful run. Knudsen with the cross. Arriving with a great run

:35:47. > :35:53.was Alex Woodyard. Big chance. Huge chance, he didn't connect with it

:35:54. > :35:59.the way he wanted to. Robinson and Rhead were not involved so Ipswich

:36:00. > :36:03.switched from the danger. I think it came off his shoulder. That was not

:36:04. > :36:07.great defending in the middle of the Ipswich penalty area. They are a

:36:08. > :36:12.centre-back three and they didn't work well there as a unit. The

:36:13. > :36:21.Cowley boys thought that was in and here they come again, looking for

:36:22. > :36:26.Robinson. He has pushed his man. He was released as a boy at Stoke at

:36:27. > :36:35.16, went to Watford, would have known Graham Taylor from there.

:36:36. > :36:42.Played six games and signed for Port Vale. A chequered career, went up to

:36:43. > :36:48.the league with Hereford from the Conference, relegated with Doncaster

:36:49. > :36:49.one year. They tell me he's very quiet off the field but very

:36:50. > :37:44.competitive on it. Best challenged. Half an hour

:37:45. > :37:52.played. Cleared away by Luke Chambers. He was at the Northampton

:37:53. > :37:55.team that pushed Manchester United all the way back in 2004. United won

:37:56. > :38:07.1-0. Bradley Wood with the throw. Lincoln

:38:08. > :38:11.fans think very highly of him because when they were queueing for

:38:12. > :38:24.tickets the whole day, Bradley Wood came out with Cofie and he went down

:38:25. > :38:28.the line of fans giving out Cofie. Ipswich have got to be careful. They

:38:29. > :38:32.are constantly giving away free kicks in these areas of the pitch.

:38:33. > :38:36.It doesn't matter to Lincoln, it's going in and around the box where

:38:37. > :38:48.they can get knock-downs to cause Ipswich problems. That should be

:38:49. > :38:50.dealt with and is by Digby. The goals have dried up for Digby in

:38:51. > :39:04.recent years. Cole Skuse, he was at Bristol City

:39:05. > :39:15.for about ten years. A team-mate of his is on the opposition bench

:39:16. > :39:25.today. Jamie McCombe. Lawrence felt there was a foul. Seemed to duck to

:39:26. > :39:42.anticipate that. Possession 50-50. One attempt on

:39:43. > :39:52.target so far. Hawkridge trying to make his way through. The cross back

:39:53. > :39:56.into the box. Coming to the right-hand side now, switching to

:39:57. > :40:02.his left foot. Robinson. Rhead was in behind between the two defenders

:40:03. > :40:06.and the header goes wide. Brilliant play. Genuine quality in this side,

:40:07. > :40:12.drops back onto his left foot. Lovely flighted ball as you can see.

:40:13. > :40:17.Chops back onto his left hand side, no one getting close to him, and

:40:18. > :40:22.Rhead gets between the defenders. You probably think he should do

:40:23. > :40:26.better. He gets to the ball. He couldn't quite get his head to it,

:40:27. > :40:32.lovely delivery. He could see it all the way. You can see what the

:40:33. > :40:35.manager thought. He thought it was in. He says they cannot overuse him

:40:36. > :40:57.because he does tire, Matt Rhead. Here is Arnold. Very impressive, the

:40:58. > :40:59.Cowley management team. I know Trevor Sinclair was here last week

:41:00. > :41:04.in the build-up to the first game and was really impressed with the

:41:05. > :41:05.way they prepare for matches and their way they have conducted

:41:06. > :41:17.themselves. You can almost tell sometimes by the

:41:18. > :41:22.way a team warms up and their general setup what kind of things

:41:23. > :41:25.are going on in the background. I watched both games, the game

:41:26. > :41:28.previous to this one and this one tonight and the way they conduct

:41:29. > :41:32.themselves throughout the warm up and beforehand with each other, you

:41:33. > :41:42.can tell they are run in a good manner. Towards Best.

:41:43. > :41:50.Don't forget you can see the FA Cup replay highlights tomorrow night on

:41:51. > :41:53.BBC One at 10:45pm. The next live FA Cup action is the fourth round tie,

:41:54. > :42:01.Derby against Leicester, the champions, the ailing champions, big

:42:02. > :42:07.rivals. Friday 27th on BBC One. All across the BBC, the FA Cup.

:42:08. > :42:13.They are talking about moving from Sincil Bank and having a new home

:42:14. > :42:16.purpose built. I'm not sure if that is going to happen. A good

:42:17. > :42:26.atmospheric night here tonight. Lawrence with a real beef of a

:42:27. > :42:30.challenge. He likes a tackle. He's had to deal with a couple, Lawrence

:42:31. > :42:34.but he's getting on with it, giving him a smile, just saying, just give

:42:35. > :42:39.me one opportunity in front of that goal and I'm sure I can take that

:42:40. > :42:47.smile off him. He is keeping his calm at the moment. England is a

:42:48. > :42:54.non-league England team squad member. Ward progressing to the edge

:42:55. > :42:59.of the penalty area. Emmanuel Riviere cross all the way through.

:43:00. > :43:07.Lincoln know they cannot switch off for a moment. The National League

:43:08. > :43:13.side is 59 places below Ipswich, as we were hearing earlier on. You

:43:14. > :43:18.wouldn't believe that from what we have seen so far. No, you definitely

:43:19. > :43:21.wouldn't. I think the difference between the two sides, one knows

:43:22. > :43:23.exactly the way they want to play and the other doesn't. There have

:43:24. > :43:30.been a couple of times when Leon Best has come short, and when it

:43:31. > :43:35.goes wrong they go along and when they come short it go short, Lincoln

:43:36. > :43:38.know how they want to play. They get Rhead to play and play off him. It

:43:39. > :43:44.suits them well and with the energy they have got and their general play

:43:45. > :43:53.that's why they have probably had the best of it in the first half.

:43:54. > :43:58.Farman looks for Rhead, dropping a bit short, Douglas is competing with

:43:59. > :44:06.him. By four inches the shorter man, the Irish man. Hawkridge turning

:44:07. > :44:23.out, bringing Habergham interplay. One of the England C squad players.

:44:24. > :44:27.Habergham played at Braintree. This has to be settled tonight, of

:44:28. > :44:32.course. Very little in it at the moment. Christophe Berra. A bad

:44:33. > :44:39.mistake for the second mistake in the first game. The header that

:44:40. > :44:44.dropped out. It was a great finish, though. He took it, Robinson. He's

:44:45. > :44:53.been in unbelievable form, hasn't he? 28 next week is Theo Robinson.

:44:54. > :44:57.He certainly can play at league level and that is where they are

:44:58. > :45:02.heading at the moment. Are they heading into the lead here?

:45:03. > :45:06.Hawkridge. They go back to him and he still managed to have the vision

:45:07. > :45:12.and wherewithal to hold it up. That is out of play by Woodyard. You

:45:13. > :45:18.could see clearly with Ipswich where the issues are. Grant in midfield,

:45:19. > :45:21.he has tried to make something happen, wants to get on the ball and

:45:22. > :45:25.wants to try and have an impact on the game but whenever he picks it up

:45:26. > :45:27.nobody is moving, nobody wants it and that is why he gets caught on

:45:28. > :45:44.it. Away by Digby. Digby has played just

:45:45. > :45:46.nine minutes since August before tonight with a knee problem.

:45:47. > :46:13.Chambers got it away. Not really been able to get Lawrence

:46:14. > :46:20.into the game yet, it's which. -- Ipswich. Really good balance on him.

:46:21. > :46:36.Blocked by Power. A touch by Raggett was enough.

:46:37. > :46:45.What a scalp it would be for Lincoln. Ipswich Town, winners of

:46:46. > :46:50.the cup in 1978. Roger Osborne's goal against Arsenal. What a team

:46:51. > :46:56.that was. They went on to win the UEFA Cup in 1981. Terry Butcher at

:46:57. > :47:26.the back. He's here tonight. The last 16 Lincoln reached only

:47:27. > :47:31.three times. The last time in 1901. In them and -- in the 18 hundredths,

:47:32. > :47:41.Glasgow Rangers beat them! In the English FA Cup! Decent offending by

:47:42. > :47:50.Chambers. -- defending. The first corner kick of the game. Five

:47:51. > :47:54.minutes to go, first flag kick. Causing a lot of problems in the

:47:55. > :48:01.last 15 minutes. Chambers did well to sense the danger and not allowed

:48:02. > :48:05.to cross into the box. Sam Habergham will take it. Former Norwich

:48:06. > :48:13.schoolboy. Can he put the skids under its switch? -- Ipswich. The

:48:14. > :48:46.big boys were in there. It was aimed at Waterfall.

:48:47. > :49:01.Away by Digby. Touched down by Nathan Arnold. Good pressure. Ward.

:49:02. > :49:12.A question of bearer holding onto Matt Rhead, but I guess that's the

:49:13. > :49:17.way they will deal with him. He's got hold of his shirt. Matt Read

:49:18. > :49:23.throws himself around, it gets his arm into you. You will have to be

:49:24. > :49:29.physical with him. Berra will have to be clever because if the referee

:49:30. > :49:37.sees that, he won't be shy to blow the whistle and give the penalty.

:49:38. > :49:46.Christophe Berra, 32 later this month. Scottish Cup winner for

:49:47. > :49:57.Hearts in 2006, although he was on the bench. I think he was the

:49:58. > :50:07.youngest SBL captain at the time. -- SPL. Looking at it, I would expect

:50:08. > :50:13.Mick McCarthy to want more. He would want them to work harder, get closer

:50:14. > :50:17.to the Lincoln players and almost do to them what Lincoln are doing to

:50:18. > :50:22.Ipswich. They are not laying a glove on Lincoln at the moment, they are

:50:23. > :50:26.hanging on rather than trying to create something themselves. Lincoln

:50:27. > :50:30.have had much the better of this half. I'm sure Mick McCarthy will

:50:31. > :50:37.want a lot more from his side than just hanging on. Took Sunderland to

:50:38. > :50:43.the Championship title, took Wolves to the Championship title, took

:50:44. > :50:50.Ireland to the World Cup finals. A dramatic few weeks in the far east.

:50:51. > :51:12.In Lincolnshire, it's 0-0. A long throw by Habergham into the

:51:13. > :51:23.box. Brilliant save! Denying Waterfall. Reaction save by Dean

:51:24. > :51:31.Gerken keeps it at 0-0. He's given a goal kick! It's an unbelievable save

:51:32. > :51:35.from Gerken. A long throw into the box, defenders get mixed up. It

:51:36. > :51:45.falls to Waterfall and what a fantastic save that is. How the

:51:46. > :51:48.referee hasn't seen that! Rhead with the initial touch on, Waterfall with

:51:49. > :51:55.the effort. This is definitely a corner. Yeah! He tips it round the

:51:56. > :52:00.post, a brilliant save. Even the keeper wants that to be a corner.

:52:01. > :52:06.Trust me, I tipped it around the post! He's had to wait a long time

:52:07. > :52:11.for this chance, only his third game this season. Played in the first

:52:12. > :52:17.game ten days ago. A huge moment. They've struggled with that in the

:52:18. > :52:21.first half, Ipswich, the long balls into the box. What a save that was

:52:22. > :52:30.from Gerken, kept his side right in it. The two centre backs have 11

:52:31. > :52:36.goals this season for Lincoln. You can see why. It's the way they play.

:52:37. > :52:40.They know their strengths and they played to that. When I look at

:52:41. > :52:48.Ipswich, I can't even tell you the way they play, it's so off-the-cuff.

:52:49. > :52:58.But what a save that is. We are into stoppage time. Dean Gerken with the

:52:59. > :53:05.save of the half. A slip as clips and tried to get the throw quickly

:53:06. > :53:09.away to Lawrence. -- Knudson. Lincoln have been the more

:53:10. > :53:14.aggressive team, they've been the more deserving team. They have. They

:53:15. > :53:19.get the ball into good areas, into the box, they cause issues, they

:53:20. > :53:24.have willing runners in midfield, they press and get close to people.

:53:25. > :53:27.Hawkridge and Arnold on the flanks have got real quality and they are

:53:28. > :53:38.getting the better of their opponents. Chambers will tidy up.

:53:39. > :53:42.31, Luke Chambers. Defence under pressure again although Grant Ward

:53:43. > :53:48.has the pace to stick with Hawkridge. The half-time whistle

:53:49. > :53:53.beats Lincoln's efforts to set up another chance. Danny Cowley will be

:53:54. > :53:59.pleased with the first of effort. Mick McCarthy will have a few harsh

:54:00. > :54:07.words. But his team have kept the non-league side at bay. A quaint old

:54:08. > :54:15.football ground, Sincil Bank. 0-0. (STUDIO) 59 places between

:54:16. > :54:19.these sides. A non-league side and a championship macro side. They are in

:54:20. > :54:22.the middle of the Championship and they would like to be doing better

:54:23. > :54:27.tonight. Lincoln have got their measure. They have bossed it.

:54:28. > :54:33.They've shown what they got a draw at Portman Road. It's mostly been

:54:34. > :54:38.played in the final third. They were very close to getting the opening

:54:39. > :54:42.goal. Trevor was requesting a heat map a moment ago because he wanted

:54:43. > :54:49.to make sure most of the play was down that end. I hoped we could lie

:54:50. > :54:55.on it because it is freezing! It looks like Lincoln have come out to

:54:56. > :54:59.do a job and they have harried Ipswich and throwing them off their

:55:00. > :55:03.side. There will be a heat map in the Ipswich dressing room because

:55:04. > :55:07.Mick McCarthy will be going ballistic. They started brightly but

:55:08. > :55:12.after that it's been all Lincoln. Lincoln deserve to be ahead. They've

:55:13. > :55:19.taken command of the game. Ipswich can't get forward. Matt Rhead, the

:55:20. > :55:24.big man, if ever a man had a target on him! He is the man they are

:55:25. > :55:30.focusing on. Ipswich are struggling with what to do with him. Those

:55:31. > :55:36.Championship players won't have come across a player of his size and

:55:37. > :55:40.skill with that size. He has a fantastic touch his awareness is

:55:41. > :55:46.great. That's an early taste of what he will give in this game, so

:55:47. > :55:50.committed. I've been impressed with how he gets his body in the way of

:55:51. > :55:55.the ball and protects the ball. He's in it for the team. He throws

:55:56. > :56:00.himself all over the place. He's not afraid to put his head in. A

:56:01. > :56:05.mismatch with the full-back. And again, winning the first ball.

:56:06. > :56:10.Ipswich have to stop the supply into him because if they don't Lincoln

:56:11. > :56:16.will score soon. Again, great touch for a big man. His linkup play is

:56:17. > :56:22.outstanding. Using his body, strength and weight. You would like

:56:23. > :56:26.to play a player against him. I would love to, he's my kind of

:56:27. > :56:31.player! None of the Ipswich players can get hold of him. Look at this

:56:32. > :56:38.cross. He peels away, his movement is very good. That's the sign of a

:56:39. > :56:48.great striker who knows what he's doing. He's got a lot of experience

:56:49. > :56:52.and he's a whisker away from that. You said Ipswich don't know what to

:56:53. > :56:56.do with him, Berra resorted to holding onto his shirt. In the

:56:57. > :57:01.Premier League, he would be looking for a penalty. I think he would. You

:57:02. > :57:05.have to give him some of his own medicine. You have to show your the

:57:06. > :57:13.dominant man. It's a big test of character. I don't think he'll be

:57:14. > :57:20.happy his belly was out! I think he's old score. He's a man's man.

:57:21. > :57:26.I've seen him train. He trains really hard. He's just a bigger man

:57:27. > :57:31.and he's putting himself about. The chances didn't just come from him.

:57:32. > :57:35.We would struggle to show you a hatful of chances for Ipswich, but

:57:36. > :57:42.we will show you a few for Lincoln city. Woodyard here. Sorry, Theo

:57:43. > :57:49.Robinson first. It's a great block by Paul Digby. Rhead flicks it on

:57:50. > :57:54.and there's a great block. Fantastic block. Paul Digby getting across,

:57:55. > :57:58.knows there is danger. Robinson turns his Manuel and it's a great

:57:59. > :58:03.block. You said you would have gone through the player! I would have

:58:04. > :58:08.gone through the man. Woodyard with the best chance. They haven't

:58:09. > :58:13.stopped the crosses in the first half. Double figures of crosses.

:58:14. > :58:21.Space and time to pick his man and it just catches his shoulder. Then

:58:22. > :58:25.the captain, just before the end of the half, with one of those moments

:58:26. > :58:31.where we thought we were coming in to talk about a famous Lincoln lead.

:58:32. > :58:39.What a save that is by the stand in goalkeeper. A brilliant save. The

:58:40. > :58:44.referee missed it. Great hand. There's been one corner in the game

:58:45. > :58:49.and the reason is because Lincoln are finding a lot of ease. A very

:58:50. > :58:53.composed Lincoln dressing room. Danny Cowley giving them

:58:54. > :59:02.instructions for the second half. Presumably more of the same. Yeah.

:59:03. > :59:06.They are having chances. He will be saying one thing. Don't rue those

:59:07. > :59:12.missed chances, let's get the ball in the net. One goal could win it.

:59:13. > :59:16.It was the early Lincoln pressure that you were impressed by because

:59:17. > :59:22.it threw Ipswich off their stride. They are executing their game plan.

:59:23. > :59:26.High pressure. They are not going into silly challenges. One of the

:59:27. > :59:29.players is going in and the team goes in behind and they are making

:59:30. > :59:37.clever decisions. They are standing their ground. Ipswich are struggling

:59:38. > :59:41.to get out of the final third. It's not going half-hearted, it is going

:59:42. > :59:45.to win the ball back and they are forcing Ipswich into mistakes.

:59:46. > :59:48.Ipswich, 59 places above them, should be able to deal with this

:59:49. > :59:55.pressure and they are not doing so well. They all know their jobs, they

:59:56. > :00:01.know what they have to do. The pressure comes from the front men,

:00:02. > :00:05.not just the back four. They defend from the front. Ipswich gets the

:00:06. > :00:10.ball here and the centre-half comes across. When you are told that is

:00:11. > :00:14.your man, they are doing it very well. I wish we had a camera in the

:00:15. > :00:22.Ipswich dressing room! It wouldn't be very quiet. At the beginning of

:00:23. > :00:28.the match, Tom Lawrence, if any chances fell to its rich, they were

:00:29. > :00:37.going to him. Then Waterfall had a captain 's tackle, shall we say. A

:00:38. > :00:46.reducer! Doesn't quite get hold of it. A good warning for Lincoln not

:00:47. > :00:50.to give the ball away, especially to this man. They then got more

:00:51. > :00:58.physical with him and Waterfall gave him a message. Watershed, not

:00:59. > :01:01.Waterfall! I would be happy with that one. He looked very bright

:01:02. > :01:07.until then, he was the main threat for Ipswich. If he's not at the top

:01:08. > :01:11.of his game, Ipswich will struggle to penetrate. He looked

:01:12. > :01:16.uncomfortable, has it throwing him off his stride? I think he would be

:01:17. > :01:20.uncomfortable after that challenge! I think he's frustrated more than

:01:21. > :01:27.anything. The more the first half has gone on, the few scraps he's had

:01:28. > :01:32.to feed off. But he still carries a threat and I'm still optimistic. Not

:01:33. > :01:35.as optimistic now as I was at the start, but you can never tell with

:01:36. > :01:43.Tom Lawrence. Something out of nothing. There's one more non-league

:01:44. > :01:47.side left in the Emirates FA Cup and that's Sutton. They travelled the

:01:48. > :02:00.five miles to archrivals AFC Wimbledon. Let's get highlights.

:02:01. > :02:09.It is Nick Tompkins into the path of Matt Tubbs who continues his run and

:02:10. > :02:13.watches as a shot is driven in and out comes the goalkeeper to make the

:02:14. > :02:21.save. It is a big chance. Tumbling into the penalty area. Dean Parrott

:02:22. > :02:26.has a free kick 15 yards inside the half. Considerable depth and a clear

:02:27. > :02:31.unmarked header from Tom Elliott establishes a lead for AFC

:02:32. > :02:38.Wimbledon. Matt Tubbs is onto it here. Matt Tubbs was threatening to

:02:39. > :02:47.get through. Was there another covering defender? What colour will

:02:48. > :02:51.the card be? Wimbledon lead 1-0. So, Wimbledon down to ten men, they

:02:52. > :02:57.are into the second half now. Four other replays in The Emirates FA

:02:58. > :03:01.Cup. You can see the goals from those matches on the BBC website

:03:02. > :03:06.later on. Burnley continuing their fantastic run at home at the moment.

:03:07. > :03:08.Let's get more opinion on this one and Damian Johnson is with Chris

:03:09. > :03:14.Sutton who had a spell in charge here somewhere down the touchline.

:03:15. > :03:17.Look at that, the beautiful Lincoln Cathedral which lights up in the

:03:18. > :03:20.distance here. It was once the tallest building in the world in the

:03:21. > :03:24.16th century, did you know that, Damian?

:03:25. > :03:27.I didn't, I learn something every day from you. Chris Sutton is here,

:03:28. > :03:31.one-time Lincoln manager, what do you make of your old club, they are

:03:32. > :03:34.bossing this, aren't they? Absolutely, they should be in front,

:03:35. > :03:39.Ipswich are the championship side, you wouldn't know which was the

:03:40. > :03:41.Championship side, Lincoln have been brilliant, organised by their

:03:42. > :03:44.decision-making has been better but you wonder if they will rue the

:03:45. > :03:48.chances they have missed but from Ipswich's Ponta view, can they play

:03:49. > :03:56.any worse in the second-half? I don't think can but it is the

:03:57. > :04:00.taking. What do you think will be happening in the dressing room? I

:04:01. > :04:05.can't repeat what Mick McCarthy will be saying. They have looked

:04:06. > :04:08.disjointed going forward. At the back they look clueless, they have

:04:09. > :04:11.no rhythm to their place but you have to give Lincoln credit because

:04:12. > :04:14.they are organised, they are pressing, they are brave, winning

:04:15. > :04:19.the ball back in midfield, and you just feel if they get another chance

:04:20. > :04:24.Lincoln have to take it. We shall see, thank you, Chris. Back to you.

:04:25. > :04:28.Thank you, Damian and Chris, as ever, holding his opinions back,

:04:29. > :04:32.Chris. They are not there. Cowley Brothers, Nicky, assistant to his

:04:33. > :04:37.brother Danny, giving his half of the team talk and it looks very

:04:38. > :04:41.composed, doesn't it? And very calm. I imagine it's the complete opposite

:04:42. > :04:45.in the Ipswich Town dressing room. We have loads of great FA Cup action

:04:46. > :04:50.coming your way over the next few weeks, not least a live match and a

:04:51. > :04:54.great rivalry, the champions Leicester ticking on their East

:04:55. > :04:58.Midlands rivals Derby and the last time they win the final was in 1969

:04:59. > :05:03.when a 19-year-old goalkeeper played and went on to have a pretty decent

:05:04. > :05:08.career. I supported them from the age of

:05:09. > :05:11.ten. I trained at the ground Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Leicester was

:05:12. > :05:16.the only club I wanted to play full. One of the most promising, not the

:05:17. > :05:19.most promising goalkeeper in the country, 18-year-old Peter Shilton.

:05:20. > :05:22.It was a dream come true for me, I'd always wanted to get the FA Cup

:05:23. > :05:27.final, Leicester had been there three times before and not won and

:05:28. > :05:34.it was a magical opportunity. Cup fever ran high as Leicester and

:05:35. > :05:37.Manchester City make their appearance for the match that would

:05:38. > :05:43.decide who would capture the glory and the FA Cup. When you came out of

:05:44. > :05:47.the tunnel the Rohit you. I've played at Wembley a few times before

:05:48. > :05:53.that but it was still a magical moment. Peter Shilton, who has been

:05:54. > :05:57.here before. I was obviously focused more and keyed up because you want

:05:58. > :06:02.to be at your best. A real ambition of mine to win the FA Cup. I was

:06:03. > :06:07.determined to do everything I could to try and make that happen. In from

:06:08. > :06:12.the wing came the danger threat and again Shilton made a great save. It

:06:13. > :06:22.was a game of very few chances, to be fair. The pitch wasn't brilliant.

:06:23. > :06:25.It's Wembley. We wouldn't expect the pitch to play horrible. They have

:06:26. > :06:29.had a horse of the year showed not long before. I thought we had the

:06:30. > :06:35.better of the chances and didn't take them and ended up falling to a

:06:36. > :06:42.goal from Neil Young. Back to Young. The goal is scored by Young. You

:06:43. > :06:49.just prayed that we got an equaliser and we would still stay in the game.

:06:50. > :06:52.Will you bring on as substitute? Not at the moment. Unfortunately we

:06:53. > :06:55.missed a few chances and Leicester ended up being in the FA Cup final

:06:56. > :07:03.at Wembley for the fourth time and not winning. A great performance.

:07:04. > :07:07.They have played wonderfully but Leicester City have been such

:07:08. > :07:10.tremendous opposition. It was a bit of a regret because it was the only

:07:11. > :07:16.trophy I never won and I just remembered I was so disappointed I

:07:17. > :07:20.hardly spoke to anybody all night. I was a bit off with everybody. I was

:07:21. > :07:25.just totally gutted and it wasn't until I got back in Leicester and

:07:26. > :07:29.saw the fans and how proud they were of us that I came out of myself and

:07:30. > :07:33.realised we had achieved something even though we'd lost. It was a

:07:34. > :07:37.performance of which all Leicester can be proud.

:07:38. > :07:41.So, derby against Premier League champions Leicester live on BBC One

:07:42. > :07:50.on Friday 27th and before that you can watch the goals from tomorrow

:07:51. > :07:55.night's FA Cup replays. And I will be back with the Premier League show

:07:56. > :08:00.on Thursday at 7:30pm, earlier than usual, this week on BBC Two. Amazing

:08:01. > :08:03.to think that your old England team-mate Peter Shilton wouldn't

:08:04. > :08:07.play in another FA Cup final after that. You'd think at 19 starting

:08:08. > :08:13.your career that it would happen for you quite a few times. Almost the

:08:14. > :08:18.World Cup in 1970 as well, so he is an old pro, but what a player, and a

:08:19. > :08:22.real legend. Surprising he didn't get to play another one but you

:08:23. > :08:26.didn't play one at all. I lost in the semifinal, so near but yet so

:08:27. > :08:34.far from the Trophy. Sorry to remind you of that. Trevor... Don't remind

:08:35. > :08:40.me! It is good to see the FA Cup cap making another airing. And the FA

:08:41. > :08:45.Cup years! There they are. It is freezing cold at Sincil Bank but the

:08:46. > :08:48.fans have that sense of expectation. What is lovely as well is you see

:08:49. > :08:51.players and coaching staff coming out and making eye contact with

:08:52. > :08:54.people in the crowd because you get the impression that what the Cowley

:08:55. > :08:59.brothers have done is bring the Town together through the football club

:09:00. > :09:01.and that has been so important engaging the community. Yes, looking

:09:02. > :09:06.at the fans that have turned out, it is a sell-out, he has really

:09:07. > :09:12.integrated the football family of Lincoln City into the football club

:09:13. > :09:15.and so far so good this season in the league, let's hope they can get

:09:16. > :09:17.through in the cup. The captain leading the players and touching the

:09:18. > :09:20.hands of the fans at the start of the second half. They have a game

:09:21. > :09:23.plan, they will stick to it because in the first half it was almost

:09:24. > :09:28.successful. Wahab Ipswich got in return? We can rejoin your

:09:29. > :09:32.commentary team of Jonathan Pearce and Jermaine Jenas.

:09:33. > :09:37.COMMENTATOR: You mentioned the cathedral, it is 0-0 but it pays to

:09:38. > :09:42.be patient, started in the 1185, took 200 years to build that

:09:43. > :09:47.splendour. We have 45 minutes to go and then maybe another half an hour

:09:48. > :09:51.so we have plenty of time to sort things out, Jermaine Jenas. I can't

:09:52. > :09:56.think there are any changes, cannot see any changes for the two teams.

:09:57. > :09:59.What do Ipswich need to do to change the game around quiz act I think

:10:00. > :10:04.they need to change the mentality, their approach to the game. Find

:10:05. > :10:09.some belief in themselves and their approach, get themselves half an

:10:10. > :10:14.opportunity. The only one I can think of is Lawrence with the run

:10:15. > :10:17.and the strike on goal. From Ipswich's point of view by Mick

:10:18. > :10:21.McCarthy has hopefully set a few choice words to get them going and

:10:22. > :10:26.make a game of it. Lincoln will want more of the same, they have been

:10:27. > :10:30.brilliant. Danny Cowley is saluting the fans. He will be asking for the

:10:31. > :10:35.exact amount of support they got in the first half and trying to get the

:10:36. > :10:41.goal they deserve. Home-made cups in the stands. Great to see. Don't tell

:10:42. > :10:45.any Lincoln City fan tonight that the FA Cup has lost its lustre.

:10:46. > :10:51.Danny Cowley, three promotions, three cups, took Braintree to the

:10:52. > :10:56.National League semifinal. Here he is doing a terrific job in Lincoln

:10:57. > :10:59.against the longest serving Championship manager Mick McCarthy

:11:00. > :11:08.denied that his Ipswich team were second best in the first half. And

:11:09. > :11:20.away it goes from Knudsen. Just a reminder of the teams. Lincoln

:11:21. > :11:25.unchanged from the first game. They have that Matt Rhead threat Andy

:11:26. > :11:31.Robinson pace up front. And away by Emmanuel. Towards Leon Best who has

:11:32. > :11:37.been very quiet. Laurens pressurising there. Of course, as we

:11:38. > :11:48.talked about beforehand, he is their main threat. There is an interesting

:11:49. > :11:54.character flown in from South Africa, director and a man who has

:11:55. > :11:58.injected ?300,000 into Lincoln City, and reportedly over 1 million over

:11:59. > :12:06.the next four years, come all the way to watch this. Looks like he's

:12:07. > :12:15.feeling the cold. He left the sunshine behind him, that is for

:12:16. > :12:19.certain. It is a raw old night. Free kick for the file by Jonas Knudsen.

:12:20. > :12:24.He looks a bit bemused. Clever play from Arnold, he saw Knudsen was

:12:25. > :12:27.coming in to him and mix it around him and it is blatant obstruction,

:12:28. > :12:34.another opportunity to put a delivery into the box. We talked

:12:35. > :12:36.about Rhead but I think Arnold could be the key for Mansfield, former

:12:37. > :12:49.Cambridge and Grimsby player. That could have been a dummy.

:12:50. > :12:57.Floated high towards Waterfall at the back. I think it was a false

:12:58. > :13:05.mistake on the far side, dummy to give across in. Yes, you chuck those

:13:06. > :13:08.in just in case the defence like to play the offside trap. It was more

:13:09. > :13:12.about the delivery to the back post. When he gets his head on it it's all

:13:13. > :13:18.about the second ball and Robinson wasn't able to get the body towards

:13:19. > :13:27.the goal. Here it comes, all the way through. Out of play for a goal

:13:28. > :13:32.kick. Racket was up from the back. The crowd will be the extra man for

:13:33. > :13:42.Lincoln City tonight. Extra little girl there. -- Raggett. That hat is

:13:43. > :13:48.a little bit low, don't know if she can see the game.

:13:49. > :14:00.Good catch. Hasty throw and Rhead has limped back and the referee has

:14:01. > :14:02.already reached for his pocket and he could be in trouble here. It's a

:14:03. > :14:13.yellow in his hand. Rhead went up in the air and drew

:14:14. > :14:17.his arm back in the challenge. It is a yellow. My initial thoughts were

:14:18. > :14:21.he did lead with his arm. There is a difference between leading with your

:14:22. > :14:24.arms to challenge and actually throwing your elbow into somebody.

:14:25. > :14:29.He is a physical presence up there and error has had to be on the

:14:30. > :14:33.receiving end a few times. Arnold is having a quiet word with him.

:14:34. > :14:37.Berra's eyes on the ball, leads with his arm and catches him. It's a

:14:38. > :14:41.yellow card. It is not a nice one for error to take but there is no

:14:42. > :14:46.maliciousness in that from Rhead at all.

:14:47. > :15:00.Front two for Lincoln share 18 goals. Leon Best is yet to score a

:15:01. > :15:06.goal this season. Lawrence has seven. They are missing a

:15:07. > :15:13.goal-scoring threat, out on the treatment table, as we mentioned.

:15:14. > :15:18.Kieffer Moore from Forest Green impressed Mick McCarthy when playing

:15:19. > :15:24.for Yeovil against Ipswich the other year. Signed yesterday. And Jordan

:15:25. > :15:28.Spence, who was a free agent, former West Ham player, who has come in as

:15:29. > :15:33.well. Ineligible for today, of course. That is a lovely bit of

:15:34. > :15:43.hold-up play by Rhead. Habergham. Hawkridge. Switches it away to

:15:44. > :15:49.Arnold. Lawrence doing the work. Waterfall. Straight back over the

:15:50. > :16:00.top looking for Robinson. Sensibly done. Arnold on the outside of

:16:01. > :16:02.Lawrence. He did enough. He didn't really want the ball played back to

:16:03. > :16:15.him and he got an absolute cruncher from Bradley Wood.

:16:16. > :16:24.He certainly knew he'd been challenged by Bradley Wood. Not the

:16:25. > :16:29.first tough challenge he's received from Bradley Wood tonight. It's a

:16:30. > :16:35.late one. Completely mistimed and goes over the ball and into

:16:36. > :16:40.Lawrence. Already Lawrence is having to do the majority of his work deep

:16:41. > :16:44.in his own half and he doesn't want to be there, he wants to be at the

:16:45. > :16:49.top end trying to create. They don't seem to be able to get any service

:16:50. > :16:54.to do their forward line so you can understand why he's dropping deep.

:16:55. > :17:03.You can understand why they are getting agitated, wanting more

:17:04. > :17:09.protection for Lawrence. Sent off against Sutton, had four red cards

:17:10. > :17:15.in his Lincoln career of 74 games. Important challenge to win by

:17:16. > :17:23.Douglas. Straight back at the defence. No one holding the ball up

:17:24. > :17:28.four Ipswich Town. Offside flag. The problem is it's not coming forward

:17:29. > :17:32.for Ipswich with any quality. It's not like somebody is trying to get

:17:33. > :17:36.their head up and find Leon Best, getting it into his feet or in the

:17:37. > :17:41.channel, they are not even looking, they are just hooking it clear.

:17:42. > :17:51.There's nothing really Best or Lawrence can do. Quickly on by hawk

:17:52. > :17:59.rich. They do like to move the ball quickly. Ipswich have experience out

:18:00. > :18:08.there. Hawkridge... They should have done better. It was a simple pass

:18:09. > :18:12.and Rhead was in on goal. They have the extra experience, Ipswich, at

:18:13. > :18:16.the higher level. If they can get a chance to break hearts, they will.

:18:17. > :18:23.You just can't see it happening at moment.

:18:24. > :18:37.Robinson is caught by the flag. Terry Connor, long-time first

:18:38. > :18:41.Lieutenant for Mick McCarthy. Options on the bench limited. Kevin

:18:42. > :18:50.Bru played in the first game. Freddie Sears. Andre Dozzell,

:18:51. > :18:55.Jason's son. Ben Morris is a 17-year-old centre forward. Pat

:18:56. > :19:02.Webber, 17 years old. Adam McDonnell, another teenager. I know

:19:03. > :19:11.Mick McCarthy has several big bids on the table for potential signings.

:19:12. > :19:14.We've seen very little of Best. The challenge came in from Bradley Wood

:19:15. > :19:32.to deny Knudson. The long throw of the danger is a

:19:33. > :19:38.weapon. -- the Dane. A couple of substitute appearances for his

:19:39. > :19:43.country, Jonas Knudsen. A good long throw, the keeper has to come and

:19:44. > :19:45.claim and does. Disappointingly for Ipswich, no challenge on the

:19:46. > :19:53.goalkeeper. Brighton await the winners in the

:19:54. > :20:12.fourth round. It's a massive kick! Unbelievable!

:20:13. > :20:15.Looks like he didn't even try. He just launched it. Launched it into

:20:16. > :20:58.the other box. I think the ball hit him in the

:20:59. > :21:12.face. As it was getting crossed into the box.

:21:13. > :21:27.Wasn't really full in the face, more on the shoulder than anything.

:21:28. > :21:34.Looks as if he may well have bitten his cheek or something like that

:21:35. > :21:42.with the impact. There is certainly blood, you would think. He's got a

:21:43. > :22:05.bit of a problem, Knudson. The option they have at left back is

:22:06. > :22:10.young Pat Webber, a young scholar. Signed from Worthing. He's the son

:22:11. > :22:18.of Dave Webber, who was at Millwall when Mick McCarthy there.

:22:19. > :22:48.Difficult tie four Ipswich Town again.

:22:49. > :22:58.Waterfall under pressure but got it away.

:22:59. > :23:14.A new shirt. I don't think he's got a number on the back of that shirt.

:23:15. > :23:22.Best is in the middle. Berra came along way to make contact.

:23:23. > :23:29.Emmanuel got the shot away. It must have zipped off the turf. It came

:23:30. > :23:34.back into the danger area. A good effort from the full-back. It really

:23:35. > :23:40.was, he worked it well onto his right foot and got the shot away as

:23:41. > :23:44.soon as is. The keeper does well. There could easily have been a

:23:45. > :23:50.deflection. Parries it into a dangerous area. 57 minutes gone and

:23:51. > :23:54.Ipswich Town get their first corner kick of the game. Played short. Out

:23:55. > :24:10.by Waterfall. Decent night for the Lincoln City

:24:11. > :24:16.goalkeeper. Attempting an 11th clean sheet this season. Hasn't kept one

:24:17. > :24:27.in his last six games. Ipswich very rarely keep clean sheets. Header out

:24:28. > :24:36.by Waterfall. Hawkridge gave the full-back a lot of work to do.

:24:37. > :24:42.Habergham did well. Emmanuel was rejected by West Ham when he was 14.

:24:43. > :24:49.It was a good effort. The first thing Ipswich have offered. Comes in

:24:50. > :24:54.at pace, the keeper gets it away into a dangerous area, but

:24:55. > :25:02.thankfully for him and his defenders get it clear. Played the last couple

:25:03. > :25:11.of games, Josh Emmanuel. Free kick conceded here.

:25:12. > :25:19.First goal in any game is always important, but in a match like this,

:25:20. > :25:26.it could have such a vital bearing for Mick McCarthy and Ipswich.

:25:27. > :25:30.Approaching the hour, the first goal is huge. Mick McCarthy is asking

:25:31. > :25:37.them to get as high as possible. Leave space for the goalkeeper to

:25:38. > :25:47.collect it. Arnold with a free kick. Good goalkeeping in the end. He was

:25:48. > :25:51.clattered. It was good goalkeeping. Ipswich dropped very early and

:25:52. > :26:01.caused their own problems. Mick McCarthy would want them to hold the

:26:02. > :26:10.line longer. Certainly a foul. Definitely an infringement. Reached

:26:11. > :26:12.the fourth round in 2006. Colchester beating Derby, but he didn't play in

:26:13. > :26:31.the next round. Lawrence felt he was fouled. West

:26:32. > :26:37.macro, rather. He had a case as well. -- Best, rather. The referee

:26:38. > :26:42.keeping his whistle silent. He's allowed a fair degree of physicality

:26:43. > :26:46.there, which is nice to see. He's allowed the game to flow. There's

:26:47. > :26:53.been some tackles flying in, but he's dealt with it. Leon Best having

:26:54. > :26:59.to deal with getting pulled down. That's been part and parcel of this

:27:00. > :27:02.FA Cup tie. The challenges have been flying in, the players have been

:27:03. > :27:07.fine and the referee has allowed it to flow. Robinson to pressurise

:27:08. > :27:31.Berra. Big night at Sincil Bank, but will

:27:32. > :27:39.Robinson have his night? He's got the pace to get away. Good covering

:27:40. > :27:45.in the end, though. Emmanuel fouled Hawkridge. The home fans unhappy

:27:46. > :28:04.with that. Habergham with the free kick. Went

:28:05. > :28:07.to Everton with Tamworth in their adventure in the cup in 2012. Got

:28:08. > :28:20.beaten that day. The cross was deflected. Power tried

:28:21. > :28:28.to get it back in the box. Woodyard was in there. A strong challenge on

:28:29. > :28:41.Lawrence, this time fair. Arnold with the shot. Berra with the block.

:28:42. > :28:47.Ipswich, backs against the walls. Trying to get a little bit of

:28:48. > :28:55.revenge, Lawrence. A good cross. Chambers got it away for Ipswich.

:28:56. > :28:58.Under duress. Those two incidents is why it's which aren't getting

:28:59. > :29:07.anything out of this game. Not prepared to put their foot in and

:29:08. > :29:18.win the challenges. Out by Skuse. Back in by Arnold.

:29:19. > :29:28.Not enough for a foul. He was certainly playing for it against

:29:29. > :29:38.Habergham. That might have been a free kick. Over the top of Lawrence.

:29:39. > :29:41.In goes Douglas. The referee will pull it back and produce a card for

:29:42. > :29:54.Douglas. It was a foul, but I still think he

:29:55. > :30:02.could have played on. Hawkridge was in a good spot. He wins the tackle

:30:03. > :30:10.very well in midfield, Woodyard. This one is late. Takes him out on

:30:11. > :30:23.the ankle. Rightly gets a yellow card, Douglas. Habergham's free

:30:24. > :30:48.kick. Douglas pressure rising and then a foul.

:30:49. > :31:00.Best couldn't get above racquet. -- Raggett. Grant Ward on the outside.

:31:01. > :31:09.Good defending by Power. Not a good clearance by Lincoln City.

:31:10. > :31:37.-- Christophe Berra. Emmanuel's cross. Free kick. Offside against

:31:38. > :31:42.Best as he came to win the ball. Skuse already in an offside

:31:43. > :31:47.position. Great spot by the linesman because he went into the offside

:31:48. > :31:50.position very late. The keeper is down at the minute. Farman is down

:31:51. > :32:05.here. A calf problem, perhaps. He does

:32:06. > :32:09.give it some welly when he clears it away. Their substitute goalkeeper is

:32:10. > :32:14.the goalkeeping coach Jimmy Walker. Notts County, Walsall, West Ham,

:32:15. > :32:17.Colchester, Tottenham fans, he was their late on, I don't think he

:32:18. > :32:25.played. He was there when I was there. He is 42. He has been around

:32:26. > :32:29.a while, he was a joke, bags of experience in the dressing room, and

:32:30. > :32:39.he might find himself back out there at 42. That would be some story. I

:32:40. > :32:45.think this man will Carayol. -- this man will carry on. Zipped up at

:32:46. > :32:48.Sincil Bank tonight. Skiing tomorrow. That's the life. He has

:32:49. > :33:13.borrowed that one from you. Where do you stand on the romance of

:33:14. > :33:18.the FA Cup right now? Well, I mean it's clearly up there. I think there

:33:19. > :33:23.is a divide now that you don't see as many shocks as you used to see.

:33:24. > :33:30.The love for the FA Cup and that passion that a lot of these lower

:33:31. > :33:36.league clubs show is so important to them and their survival, for a lot

:33:37. > :33:40.of them. I think what irks a lot of football fans is to hear manager say

:33:41. > :33:44.I love the FA Cup, I grew up with it and I love it but I'm only picking

:33:45. > :33:49.one of my regular first team today. I thought there has been a few

:33:50. > :33:53.surprises in the early stages of the FA Cup from some big clubs not

:33:54. > :33:56.playing their full strength squads, especially teams that are not really

:33:57. > :34:00.playing in Europe and doing well in the Premier League as well. It might

:34:01. > :34:07.be something that we have to look at. Offside against Lawrence.

:34:08. > :34:15.The game just needs to be opened up a bit. There has been a few

:34:16. > :34:20.stoppages in the second half which have slowed the game down and that

:34:21. > :34:23.only helps Ipswich. Lincoln need to build at the moment again and keep

:34:24. > :34:27.putting them under pressure like they did in the first other and try

:34:28. > :34:31.and create an opportunity. They have not really created one yet in the

:34:32. > :34:34.second half. I don't think it is going to be a question of the

:34:35. > :34:40.Championship team being a fitter team because we know how hard the

:34:41. > :34:44.Lincoln players train. Is what I expected in the first game, I

:34:45. > :34:49.expected Lincoln to drop off from a fitness point of view but they kept

:34:50. > :34:57.pushing on. Here is the long throw in from Wood, the header by

:34:58. > :35:01.Chambers. Wood again. Here is Power. The Dubliner. Towards Woodyard.

:35:02. > :35:21.Power again. Power didn't make it early in his

:35:22. > :35:26.career. He was at and Nottingham Forest and had one game there. Comes

:35:27. > :35:34.back out for a fine effort by Hawkridge. Gathered at the second

:35:35. > :35:38.time asking by the Ipswich keeper Gerken. This was one for the

:35:39. > :35:44.cameras, from Gerken, doesn't catch it as cleanly as he wanted to,

:35:45. > :35:48.Hawkridge. It was always going wide. But Gerken obviously felt the need

:35:49. > :36:00.to scurry across and get his hands to it. He's been around too. Terry

:36:01. > :36:11.Hawkridge. The first win against football league opposition since

:36:12. > :36:17.2012-13. 20 minutes ago. Habergham. Nudge on Hawkridge, perhaps? He's

:36:18. > :36:25.there with him hanging on for dear life. Woodyard. The England C

:36:26. > :36:29.Captain. Looking for a Rhead, wouldn't come down, Robinson. You

:36:30. > :36:33.sense that Lincoln are going up through the gears again. You can see

:36:34. > :36:37.the appetite from Bradley Wood in every challenge. Very much a front

:36:38. > :37:02.foot defender. Skuse has a poor touch and plays for

:37:03. > :37:05.a foul and didn't get it. It was a poor touch but he was put under a

:37:06. > :37:11.lot of pressure again by Alex Woodyard himself. And Power in

:37:12. > :37:15.midfield. They get through a lot of work for this Lincoln side.

:37:16. > :37:21.Unselfish work. Themselves about, collect a lot of second balls. The

:37:22. > :37:26.heartbeat of this side. They are both having good games. Ipswich fans

:37:27. > :37:37.look a bit concerned. Christophe Berra with the header.

:37:38. > :37:43.Ipswich are 14th in the Championship, ten points above the

:37:44. > :37:45.bottom three. It is a division that can change quickly with two or three

:37:46. > :37:53.wins. Their budget certainly is nowhere

:37:54. > :38:09.near some of the teams up there at the top end of the table.

:38:10. > :38:24.On the Ipswich bench. Freddie Sears looks like he will come on. Freddie

:38:25. > :38:27.Sears, former West Ham man, after a startling debut he came on and

:38:28. > :38:31.scored after five minutes. It never quite happened for him. He scored

:38:32. > :38:36.against Burnley in the fifth round of the cup in 2011. He is going to

:38:37. > :38:49.come on. He has a couple of goals this season, he is a hard worker.

:38:50. > :38:59.The other substitute is Andre Dozzell. He had a startling impact

:39:00. > :39:05.when he made his debut and he scored last season. Ipswich are on the

:39:06. > :39:08.attack now. Here is Best who could have looked across and seen Freddie

:39:09. > :39:14.Sears warming up. It hasn't been this game at all, Leon Best. It

:39:15. > :39:19.hasn't but I wouldn't say any of the Ipswich players have played all that

:39:20. > :39:23.well. He had an opportunity to find his strike partner. Lawrence was

:39:24. > :39:27.probably in a better position than him. When you don't get that many

:39:28. > :39:40.opportunities, I suppose you try and take them when they come. Hawkridge.

:39:41. > :39:50.WHISTLE Here come the two substitutes. Sears

:39:51. > :40:01.to the right command Leon Best will be hooked. Missed the last couple of

:40:02. > :40:08.games ill. Hasn't looked at his sharpest since that big-money move.

:40:09. > :40:17.?3 million, it was, to Blackburn. July 2012. 11 goals in 95 games.

:40:18. > :40:22.Here comes Freddie Sears. Hardly prolific in 2016 himself, went ten

:40:23. > :40:26.months without a goal. His last goal was against Rotherham in October.

:40:27. > :40:32.This is a youngster a lot of clubs are having a look at. Often goes

:40:33. > :40:39.Ward and on comes Andre Dozzell. He is 17. He scored on his debut last

:40:40. > :40:46.season. Just like his dad had done all those years before. 16 years and

:40:47. > :40:53.350 days when he scored against Sheffield Wednesday. The youngest

:40:54. > :41:03.top-flight scorer. This is half a chance for Arnold. A

:41:04. > :41:09.lot of it centring around a long ball to Rhead. The composure from

:41:10. > :41:13.Arnold, he does not slash at it, takes a touch and gets it onto his

:41:14. > :41:20.left hand side. He was trying to bend it into the far left hand

:41:21. > :41:22.corner and just overhit it. He shaped to hit it well but didn't

:41:23. > :41:46.quite wrap his foot around the ball. Only one Graham Taylor. The lights

:41:47. > :41:56.go on. Just after 70 minutes. Graham, in his 70s, taken too early.

:41:57. > :42:00.Remember when he was England manager, even though he got fearful

:42:01. > :42:04.stick at the time, he always took time to talk to you about the game

:42:05. > :42:11.of football. Wherever you were in the world. I was privileged to have

:42:12. > :42:23.worked closely with him in those days. He was a very good man. A very

:42:24. > :42:32.good man. 76, of course, would have been the year he was here.

:42:33. > :42:41.76 when they won the fourth division title with 74 points, which was then

:42:42. > :42:53.a record. Two points for a win in those days. Would have been right?

:42:54. > :43:02.It was a record. Here comes Rhead! Now Woodyard. He wrapped his foot

:43:03. > :43:12.around that one. Robinson gets the touch after the clearance.

:43:13. > :43:20.Have they got enough quality in the final third. From the word go they

:43:21. > :43:27.have looked the team most likely to win this tie. Arnold. Good block by

:43:28. > :43:34.Christophe Berra, who has put in a decent shift at the back for

:43:35. > :43:40.Ipswich. Hawkridge. I suppose that is their only worry really. You get

:43:41. > :43:44.the feeling that although Ipswich haven't played well at all, if

:43:45. > :43:51.somebody like Lawrence gets half a chance he will stick it in the back

:43:52. > :43:57.of the net. He has worked hard for the best part of 78 minutes. They

:43:58. > :44:01.seem to have dropped the tempo and are struggling to create the chances

:44:02. > :44:02.they did in the first half. Adam Marriott waiting to come on for

:44:03. > :44:19.Lincoln. Emmanuel. A little bit rushed. At least he

:44:20. > :44:25.tried to open things up. It was a misplaced pass, but in fairness to

:44:26. > :44:28.him I don't think there is any need for Knudsen to be that narrow, he

:44:29. > :44:32.needs to be on the touchline creating more space. He is a

:44:33. > :44:34.wingback. He needs to go wide and get up-and-down the left hand side

:44:35. > :44:47.creating opportunities. Those supporters have replicas of

:44:48. > :44:52.the FA Cup. They thought Theo Robinson was going to be the game

:44:53. > :44:59.winner here but he is departing. Six goals in five FA Cup ties this

:45:00. > :45:03.season, not enough to keep him on. On comes Adam Marriott, who has only

:45:04. > :45:08.had a couple of starts since September. He's Court 4 goals this

:45:09. > :45:09.season, signed from Stevenage. He was a former Norwich and Cambridge

:45:10. > :45:35.United youngster. Rhead. That is a good chase.

:45:36. > :45:41.Goalkick given. Yes, it was the right decision. Christophe Berra

:45:42. > :45:46.does well. He stuck with his man. Tried to clear it just to get it out

:45:47. > :45:50.of play but managed to kick it against the attacker and out for a

:45:51. > :45:54.goal kick. At the start of that chase you wouldn't have backed him

:45:55. > :45:58.to win it against Nathan Arnold. As soon as the ball goes over the top I

:45:59. > :46:03.fancied Arnold to get the ball in over the top. He must have found

:46:04. > :46:06.some speed to keep up with him. Ten minutes to go until we go to --

:46:07. > :46:27.extra time. Chambers away. This is it, they are shouting. Good

:46:28. > :46:33.challenge by Woodyard. He's done that all game. On the front foot,

:46:34. > :46:38.winning tackles, getting his team up the pitch. Great encouragement from

:46:39. > :46:41.the Lincoln bench. If Bradley Wood can get this in there, can Rhead

:46:42. > :46:57.exploit a tiring Ipswich defence? Waterfall's cross was deflected

:46:58. > :47:36.away. He's home by Douglas. He is frustrated, you can understand

:47:37. > :47:43.his frustration as well, Lawrence. Two minutes ago on the edge of the

:47:44. > :47:48.box. Skuse had the ball and he just launched it. Blatant handball. The

:47:49. > :47:51.service to him tonight has been terrible. They've been robust with

:47:52. > :48:19.the way they've dealt with him. Straight down the throat of Dean

:48:20. > :48:26.Gerken. He's done well. He won't be in the league team at the weekend.

:48:27. > :48:32.Bartosz Bialkowski will come back. Mick McCarthy calls him the best

:48:33. > :48:34.goalkeeper in the Championship. One of their best players in recent

:48:35. > :48:55.weeks, along with Lawrence. They are still in the cup. Seven

:48:56. > :48:59.minutes to go. Will they be come the final whistle? Will they take it to

:49:00. > :49:18.extra time? Rhead crush and the header. Out by

:49:19. > :49:25.Chambers. At the minute it is nailed on for extra time because both

:49:26. > :49:32.sides... Ipswich haven't created anything all game. Lincoln have

:49:33. > :49:37.stepped off the Gas a little bit and slowed down. Maybe they've run out

:49:38. > :49:39.of a bit of energy. They need to get back to the way they were playing in

:49:40. > :49:54.the first half. Is this the moment the National

:49:55. > :50:11.League team knocks out the former FA Cup winners?

:50:12. > :50:27.Rhead plants the header forward, but Berra got it away. Cole Skuse.

:50:28. > :50:34.Pressurised immediately by Woodyard. Space for Josh Emmanuel. Just over

:50:35. > :50:59.five minutes left. Look at the man who made the

:51:00. > :51:07.challenge. Matt Rhead, the Centre forward back there.

:51:08. > :51:22.Really important for Ipswich to get that home tie with Brighton. Out by

:51:23. > :51:31.Hawkridge. It's a fine effort! Kept it really low, Knudson. I think it

:51:32. > :51:36.was well wide, but he did well to keep the shot low. A strange

:51:37. > :51:42.clearance from Hawkridge. Didn't get it where he wanted it. Knudson did

:51:43. > :51:48.well to get a firm contact on the strike, but always going away from

:51:49. > :51:52.goal. The fact we are talking about it tells you a lot about the way

:51:53. > :51:57.it's which are playing and what they've brought to the table this

:51:58. > :51:58.evening. They had one effort from Emmanuel which brought a save out of

:51:59. > :52:12.the keeper. What you will get with Freddie Sears

:52:13. > :52:15.is workrate. Hasn't scored enough goals in his career. 53 in nearly

:52:16. > :52:33.300 games now. Comfortable night for the Lincoln

:52:34. > :52:40.Centre backs. Have Ipswich timed it perfectly?

:52:41. > :52:54.He's forced the corner. The second corner of the night for Ipswich. Is

:52:55. > :53:03.this the moment they execute the perfect smash and grab raid in an FA

:53:04. > :53:09.Cup tricky tie? Lawrence with it. Up from the back is Digby. Attacking

:53:10. > :53:20.the six yard area. A good header by Bradley Wood. Shorter man by five

:53:21. > :53:35.inches. Not the greatest of passes by Digby.

:53:36. > :53:38.Over the two matches, the National League team have worked

:53:39. > :53:56.prodigiously. Easily read by Alan Power. The

:53:57. > :54:27.longest serving player here. This is his 222nd game.

:54:28. > :54:34.Half an hour of extra time looms, and then penalties. For Ipswich, no

:54:35. > :54:39.McGoldrick, no Pitman, who would take penalties. Both out injured.

:54:40. > :54:46.Woodyard trying to borrow his way through. Woodyard again. Well

:54:47. > :54:54.marshalled at the moment by Digby. Doesn't need to do anything, just

:54:55. > :55:13.jostle him and he did so. Emmanuel was too strong for Habergham.

:55:14. > :55:20.Well... A yellow card for Bradley Wood. Another foul on Lawrence. I

:55:21. > :55:26.think Ipswich will say Lawrence has not had enough protection. I mean,

:55:27. > :55:32.it's been a long time coming, that yellow card for Wood. He's put in

:55:33. > :55:36.some heavy challenge. Some good, but more bad. That's another one for the

:55:37. > :55:42.list. That was the situation Lawrence scored from in the first

:55:43. > :55:47.game, picking it up on the left, Justin up to the 18-yard box and

:55:48. > :55:54.sticking it in the net. Wood said not tonight. Four minutes of

:55:55. > :56:01.stoppage time to play. Here comes the substitute on the break.

:56:02. > :56:12.Arnold... Arnold! Lincoln City are through! In the dying seconds! They

:56:13. > :56:21.have knocked out in the 1978 FA Cup winners! What a night for the

:56:22. > :56:27.National League side! No time now, surely, for Ipswich.

:56:28. > :56:44.Beautiful break! . Deflated Dean Gerken shakes his head. Nathan

:56:45. > :56:52.Arnold's 11 goal of the season. It leaves Mick McCarthy nodding his

:56:53. > :56:57.head ruefully. He knows they deserve it. He knows they've been the better

:56:58. > :57:03.side. That came from their own free kick. A poor delivery from Lawrence.

:57:04. > :57:08.They are just not set up, it's which. Nobody is picking up Marriot.

:57:09. > :57:13.I wondered if he was offside, Arnold has timed it to perfection. It's not

:57:14. > :57:19.been his best game, Arnold, but when you want a player in that situation,

:57:20. > :57:30.with the composure, he was the man for the job. He takes it around

:57:31. > :57:33.Gerken with aplomb and sticks his side into the next round. Brilliant

:57:34. > :57:37.play from Marriot and the Pats is timed to perfection. Thoroughly

:57:38. > :57:49.deserved. Brilliant finish. So composed. Sheer delight on the

:57:50. > :58:01.bench. Look at that. Brilliant. They've been the better side.

:58:02. > :58:05.Pandemonium. And pathos. That goal pretty much summed up Ipswich's

:58:06. > :58:09.night. Disorganised, not knowing what they are about what they are

:58:10. > :58:15.doing. Getting caught out from their own set piece.

:58:16. > :58:33.Can Ipswich stage a hugely dramatic comeback? Moments left. The only

:58:34. > :58:39.person who went back, by the way, to stop the breakaway for Ipswich was

:58:40. > :58:47.Tom Lawrence. That was the odd thing. Rhead. Straight at the

:58:48. > :59:09.goalkeeper. Good challenge by Power. They want

:59:10. > :59:13.to get him off, actually. They were looking to make a substitution

:59:14. > :59:21.moments ago. Jamie McCombe is waiting to come on.

:59:22. > :59:39.Safe hands, Paul Farman. He will drop and hold. We have ten seconds

:59:40. > :59:59.of stoppage time remaining. It will come back to Rhead. He will

:00:00. > :00:08.hold it, surely. We've had the four minutes. If they keep it there, they

:00:09. > :00:17.are through. Jack Muldoon, just on as a substitute. Came on during the

:00:18. > :00:25.goal celebrations. Goal kick. Surely Ipswich don't have enough time.

:00:26. > :00:47.Here comes Jamie McCombe. Six and 34 years of age. Craggy, experienced.

:00:48. > :00:54.Centre-back to shore things up. Cruel taunts by the Lincoln fans to

:00:55. > :01:06.Mick McCarthy. Five minutes of stoppage time.

:01:07. > :01:15.CROWD: You're getting sacked in the morning! . A big hit and hope from

:01:16. > :01:23.Chambers. Launched long and... That's it! They've done it! Lincoln

:01:24. > :01:30.City have beaten a team 59 places above them in England's football

:01:31. > :01:35.period. -- pyramid. FA Cup legends in the 1970s, Ipswich, are out. The

:01:36. > :01:39.pressure will rise on Mick McCarthy, but it's all about Lincoln City,

:01:40. > :01:48.they deserve it. Nathan Arnold in stoppage time. The crowd come on and

:01:49. > :01:52.deservedly the victory is Lincoln's. By far the better team on the night.

:01:53. > :01:57.They were more organised, they knew how to play and they got what they

:01:58. > :02:03.deserved. Some standout performances from all of them. The manager set

:02:04. > :02:08.them up to perfection will stop people like Rhead, Arnold, Power,

:02:09. > :02:15.brilliant. Lincoln City have done it! Big shock.

:02:16. > :02:22.Incredible scenes here. Such a dramatic way for Lincoln City to

:02:23. > :02:27.make history. Since 1976 they haven't been in the fourth round of

:02:28. > :02:30.the FA Cup and they are in its now. Trevor Sinclair and Terry Butcher

:02:31. > :02:35.alongside me. We expected to say it was going to extra time and to ask

:02:36. > :02:42.what the game plan would be. Nathan Arnold popped up and did for his

:02:43. > :02:46.manager Danny Cowley, what they almost did Portman Road, but tonight

:02:47. > :02:50.they finished the job in front of a home crowd of 10,000. Listen to the

:02:51. > :02:55.home support, something special is happening here at Sincil Bank. The

:02:56. > :02:58.players doing it on the pitch, the coaching staff have integrated them

:02:59. > :03:03.into the community and to put in a performance like that is

:03:04. > :03:06.outstanding. Everyone needs credit. This club is going places and you

:03:07. > :03:11.can sense the excitement. The news will follow in a few minutes,

:03:12. > :03:14.dominated by news of Brexit but it is Ipswich's exit tonight that will

:03:15. > :03:18.cause Mick McCarthy nightmares tonight because that was a woeful

:03:19. > :03:21.performance at times from his side. They couldn't match up to the

:03:22. > :03:25.intensity and haranguing of that aside from Lincoln City. Let's hear

:03:26. > :03:29.from the goal-scorer Nathan Arnold who is with Damien.

:03:30. > :03:39.Nathan Vella many congratulations, describe your feelings as the ball

:03:40. > :03:44.hit the net. We fully deserved it over the two Lakes and I was pleased

:03:45. > :03:52.to get the goal. I was pleased, my Mrs had a dream that I scored and we

:03:53. > :03:56.won 1-0. Had to keep your composure rounding the keeper. Yes, you've got

:03:57. > :04:01.to stay calm in those moments and it was a great ball and my experience

:04:02. > :04:06.kept my head call at that moment. Does that top what you achieved with

:04:07. > :04:10.Grimsby scoring at Wembley? It is up there, definitely up there. Before

:04:11. > :04:15.the game we backed ourselves and they made five changes, and, you

:04:16. > :04:18.know, we wanted to take advantage of that and it's not always good if you

:04:19. > :04:22.don't have continuity in the team. Proud of the lads and we deserve

:04:23. > :04:26.that. Well done, Nathan, congratulations.

:04:27. > :04:30.Terry Butcher, a goal that takes them into the fourth round and a

:04:31. > :04:34.home tie against Brighton Hove Albion. It does, great build-up

:04:35. > :04:42.play, that free kick from Lawrence, woeful defending from Ipswich,

:04:43. > :04:44.Arnold goes around the keeper. I tell you what, Ipswich should be

:04:45. > :04:55.having an autopsy on the way they played over the two games. Insipid,

:04:56. > :04:58.I'm embarrassed. Blimey, that was an utter disgrace from Ipswich. Of

:04:59. > :05:02.course, there was another non-league side left in the competition as the

:05:03. > :05:08.night began, Sutton who played their rivals AFC Wimbledon, they were down

:05:09. > :05:12.to ten men. Sutton ended up 3-1 winners. Two non-league sides left

:05:13. > :05:17.in the draw now for the fourth round, left in the fourth round, the

:05:18. > :05:21.draw happened a week ago and their reward is a tie against Leeds United

:05:22. > :05:24.as well. What a night it has been, we promised drama and emotion,

:05:25. > :05:28.because the last man to take them through to the fourth round of the

:05:29. > :05:32.FA Cup was Graham Taylor. Tonight they have lauded his memory here and

:05:33. > :05:36.as the big man himself would say, I think you will agree, did we not

:05:37. > :05:41.like that? From all of us here at Sincil Bank, a very good night.

:05:42. > :05:46.I'm not too sure how many nights quite at this have been experienced

:05:47. > :05:54.at Sincil Bank. It is throbbing with anticipation of what is to come. The

:05:55. > :05:59.cross and a big chance! Brilliant save!

:06:00. > :06:02.Arnold! Arnold to win the cup
