0:00:54 > 0:00:57Welcome to Rochdale for the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup. We
0:00:57 > 0:01:02have all the classic upsetting ingredients, the home side rooted to
0:01:02 > 0:01:06the bottom of League 1 against a Tottenham team 63 places above them
0:01:06 > 0:01:13and doing well in Europe. And, of course, there's the pitch.
0:01:13 > 0:01:20Calvin Andrew. He has got to the ball. Andrew inside the penalty
0:01:20 > 0:01:27area! 1-0! What a goal! What wonderful work. Aside from Cannon.
0:01:27 > 0:01:30Rochdale take the lead.
0:01:30 > 0:01:31wonderful work. Aside from Cannon. Rochdale take the lead.
0:01:31 > 0:01:34Tottenham stars would have been dreading playing on that pitch but
0:01:34 > 0:01:42they needn't have worried, it's been relayed. It's like Wembley!
0:01:42 > 0:01:46Tottenham are now on a 13 match unbeaten run in all competitions
0:01:46 > 0:01:49after that cracking draw away to Juventus in the Champions League
0:01:49 > 0:01:55last week. 11 changes from the team that started in Turin, but plenty of
0:01:55 > 0:01:59internationals in the team today. A daunting task for Rochdale and their
0:01:59 > 0:02:02manager, Keith Hill. Just one win in their last six league games have
0:02:02 > 0:02:10left them 11 points from safety at the bottom of League 1.
0:02:10 > 0:02:15It's a sell-out today, 10,000 have fans have packed into the recently
0:02:15 > 0:02:18renamed Crown Oil Arena. You might know it better at Scotland. 3000
0:02:18 > 0:02:22Tottenham supporters have made the journey. The first time the clubs
0:02:22 > 0:02:25have ever played each other.
0:02:27 > 0:02:31Joining us for this special occasion, Alan Shearer and birthday
0:02:31 > 0:02:36boy Jermaine Jenas, still only 35! Been doing this for 12 years.Too
0:02:36 > 0:02:41long. You must have retired very early as a footballer, that is all I
0:02:41 > 0:02:46can say.Firstly, spectacular change of the playing surface.Absolutely.
0:02:46 > 0:02:49Incredible, they've done a magnificent job in the last few days
0:02:49 > 0:02:53to get it in the condition it actually is in. Speaking to the
0:02:53 > 0:02:59manager beforehand, I said, "Did you not want to leave it until tomorrow
0:02:59 > 0:03:02to have the new page?" And he was adamant he wanted the picture laid.
0:03:02 > 0:03:08Possibly has Tottenham helped them? -- new pitch. There is every chance
0:03:08 > 0:03:10Tottenham has helped them financially. They will be delighted
0:03:10 > 0:03:16with the condition on the pitch. The manager wants the pitch in good
0:03:16 > 0:03:19condition, Keith Hill, because he believes his team can take them on
0:03:19 > 0:03:24playing football. As I say, makes an upset less likely, Jermaine Jenas?
0:03:24 > 0:03:24playing football.As I say, makes an upset less likely, Jermaine100%.
0:03:24 > 0:03:32Yes. We saw the pitch before. It looked very difficult to play any
0:03:32 > 0:03:35type of football. That is not the groundsman, that is Keith Hill, the
0:03:35 > 0:03:40manager.But it will give these founds a spectacle, to see some real
0:03:40 > 0:03:44quality not only from their own players, world-class players from
0:03:44 > 0:03:48Tottenham.You know who made his professional debut here?Harry Kane.
0:03:48 > 0:03:56For who?Leyton Orient. 1-1!Here is the Tottenham team for this
0:03:56 > 0:03:59afternoon. Let's have a look at the starting line-up.
0:04:02 > 0:04:0611 changes for Spurs. Michael Vaughan captains the side. Toby
0:04:06 > 0:04:09Alderweireld comes in at centre-back after missing the midweek trip to
0:04:09 > 0:04:14Turin. Harry Weeks partners Victor Wanyama in midfield and Brazilian
0:04:14 > 0:04:18Lucas Moura makes his first start for the club on the wing. Fernando
0:04:18 > 0:04:25Llorente leads the line with Harry Kane on the bench.
0:04:25 > 0:04:30For Rochdale, we will... Look at Rochdale very shortly. First, let's
0:04:30 > 0:04:34go pitch side. We have been speaking to Kieran Trippier.
0:04:35 > 0:04:38Here we are. Bury lad at Rochdale and you played at Burnley, not too
0:04:38 > 0:04:43far from here. Like home to home.I live a couple of minutes away from
0:04:43 > 0:04:48here. I'm delighted to be back. It will be a tough game today and
0:04:48 > 0:04:51hopefully we can win.Considering you were in Turin taking on Juventus
0:04:51 > 0:04:55on Tuesday and here while we do League 1 Rochdale, how much does it
0:04:55 > 0:04:59take to readjust your focus for a fixed you like this?It was a big
0:04:59 > 0:05:04midweek game. A good result and we have come here fully focused. Full
0:05:04 > 0:05:11of momentum. We want to get the win and go
0:05:12 > 0:05:15and go through round. So much has been made about the pitch. It almost
0:05:15 > 0:05:17looks spotless. What is your initial impression?Rochdale have done a
0:05:17 > 0:05:20good job, only a couple of days. Looks like a fantastic surface. Get
0:05:20 > 0:05:25the ball down, play well and hopefully we will win. We can see
0:05:25 > 0:05:27your manager over his shoulder having a look with his assistance.
0:05:27 > 0:05:32He will be delighted with what he has seen.Of course. People
0:05:32 > 0:05:35complained about the pitch previously but they did a fantastic
0:05:35 > 0:05:39job to get it ready for today's game. A good game and hopefully
0:05:39 > 0:05:42everyone enjoys it.Possibly the draw has been made ready for the
0:05:42 > 0:05:46quarterfinals, you could be up against Sheffield Wednesday or
0:05:46 > 0:05:49Swansea, is there added incentive knowing you have eluded the other
0:05:49 > 0:05:53members of the big four for the final eight? We want to get there
0:05:53 > 0:05:57added to the final. A tough game today against Rochdale, we will not
0:05:57 > 0:06:00look too far ahead to the next round, there is a tough fixture in
0:06:00 > 0:06:03front of us. We will enjoy ourselves and try to win.We wish you well.
0:06:03 > 0:06:07Thank you.
0:06:07 > 0:06:10It shows signs that the Tottenham squad is strong when they can still
0:06:10 > 0:06:15put a team as strong as that. Some changes. A chance for you rent out.
0:06:15 > 0:06:19It is a chance come he hasn't had that many.We will not if you have
0:06:19 > 0:06:25Harry Kane in your team.I am sure he knew the deal when he signed.
0:06:25 > 0:06:28When you are playing, particularly as a forward, you've got to make an
0:06:28 > 0:06:29impression.
0:06:29 > 0:06:32as a forward, you've got to make an impression. This was in the previous
0:06:32 > 0:06:37round. You can see he is rusty. Not comfortable at all with his back to
0:06:37 > 0:06:44goal. This was in... The replay. Did reasonably well. Gets into the box.
0:06:44 > 0:06:49An absolute sitter. We know how good he is or how good he can be in the
0:06:49 > 0:06:55air. Another very, very good opportunity late on. He puts this
0:06:55 > 0:06:59one wide or so. He's got another opportunity today to try and stake a
0:06:59 > 0:07:02claim. But as I said, when you've got a guy like Harry Kane in front
0:07:02 > 0:07:08of you, you will not buy that often. You can see the headed goals, it
0:07:08 > 0:07:13gives them a different dynamic. We saw them play Real Madrid with Harry
0:07:13 > 0:07:17Kane but not very often. The problem for you rent, when they played
0:07:17 > 0:07:20together, the game against Madrid was the only one when it clicks
0:07:20 > 0:07:23between him and Harry Kane -- problem for your rent day. No doubt
0:07:23 > 0:07:31he is a top player. When you have Harry Kane leading the line...290
0:07:31 > 0:07:35minutes all season twice that is all he has played, not enough. Lucas
0:07:35 > 0:07:42Moura making his first start. -- two 90 minutes starts.
0:07:42 > 0:07:47The club have been crying out for some raw pace ever since they lost
0:07:47 > 0:07:53Kyle Walker to Man City. Danny Rose hasn't played as much. We will see
0:07:53 > 0:07:57him play today. Hasn't got the fear factor with blistering pace in
0:07:57 > 0:08:06behind Harry Kane or Llorente. He needs the minutes to get himself
0:08:06 > 0:08:10going.Pochettino has decided to rest one or two of his big stars,
0:08:10 > 0:08:13Kane and Alli in particular have been left out. They are on the
0:08:13 > 0:08:19bench. Does that defeat the object of resting?I can speak from
0:08:19 > 0:08:24experience. The travelling tires you, you need to do the warm up and
0:08:24 > 0:08:26if they don't get on, they will be doing runs after the game on the
0:08:26 > 0:08:33pitch. I often look at managers and think, why don't you start with your
0:08:33 > 0:08:36strongest team, scored two or three goals and then get your top players
0:08:36 > 0:08:41off.Or rest them all together, give them a weekend. That in itself,
0:08:41 > 0:08:46Gary, is a risk because you might to save the game.Jermaine you are much
0:08:46 > 0:08:51more recent than us old boys to the game. LAUGHTER
0:08:51 > 0:08:55From a Spurs perspective, the fans will be delighted to see them as
0:08:55 > 0:08:59that insurance. They had a bit of a scare against Newport County. They
0:08:59 > 0:09:03will feel that this is a competition that they can go on and win. To have
0:09:03 > 0:09:07them is an insurance that is needed. The Rochdale manager Keith Hill has
0:09:07 > 0:09:11been in charge for more than 500 games in two different spells. As
0:09:11 > 0:09:17well as playing more than 150 matches for the club. Here he is.
0:09:17 > 0:09:17Here we
0:09:17 > 0:09:21Here we are. Never has a pitch been rarely spoken about so much before
0:09:21 > 0:09:26this cup tie. Have a look, it has been some transformation since the
0:09:26 > 0:09:29Millwall type.Within the last week we had the game cancelled at
0:09:29 > 0:09:33Fleetwood last weekend. We were due to start work on the pitch straight
0:09:33 > 0:09:38after the postponement. We couldn't start until mid -- mid-afternoon on
0:09:38 > 0:09:41Sunday. An achievement to get a superb pitch laid. This has been
0:09:41 > 0:09:45labelled as I could be the biggest game in Rochdale's history, how
0:09:45 > 0:09:51excited are you buy this cup tie? Very excited but as a manager, you
0:09:51 > 0:09:55have to be, I suppose, focused on a plan. They plan to try and be
0:09:55 > 0:09:58successful. We want to win every game and that is what we have done.
0:09:58 > 0:10:03We have tried to focus on the game itself on that everybody else deal
0:10:03 > 0:10:06with the sideshows, the carnival, the day in itself is an experience
0:10:06 > 0:10:08for the supporters. A tremendous achievement for the football club
0:10:08 > 0:10:14and players. What is the game plan for Rochdale? How do you go about
0:10:14 > 0:10:18doing something that Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and even
0:10:18 > 0:10:21Juventus have failed to do recently and beat this Tottenham side?We are
0:10:21 > 0:10:25not focused on that.
0:10:25 > 0:10:30My players are capable. On a one-off occasion situation like this, they
0:10:30 > 0:10:39can bring their A-game. The new boys coming in as well, it is like an
0:10:39 > 0:10:42experience for them to test themselves against an outstanding
0:10:42 > 0:10:47side. We want to try and play our natural game, we have to make it
0:10:47 > 0:10:51uncomfortable for the opponents. We have to do. That will probably mean
0:10:51 > 0:10:55pressing, getting up close and physical. Key decisions within the
0:10:55 > 0:10:59games, the players have got to be responsible. They've got to be
0:10:59 > 0:11:03better than they have been in their careers. That's the thing, you are
0:11:03 > 0:11:06just as comfortable in possession, that's the style of play you like to
0:11:06 > 0:11:10implement. Whatever has gone on with the pitch did hinder you as well?It
0:11:10 > 0:11:17has but it can't be an excuse. We try to play football. To test those
0:11:17 > 0:11:21ethoss against Tottenham will be difficult. I can't change the way
0:11:21 > 0:11:25that the players think. The way we have trained the players over the
0:11:25 > 0:11:31course of the last five years. We will be testing ourselves severely
0:11:31 > 0:11:34against supreme opposition who do things the way that we want to do
0:11:34 > 0:11:39probably 20 or 30 times better. Interestingly Matt Dunne spoke up
0:11:39 > 0:11:42about teams higher up the pyramid underestimating Rochdale because
0:11:42 > 0:11:45it's little Rochdale, is that what you are hoping for?I don't think
0:11:45 > 0:11:49they will get it. They had it in the previous round against Newport and
0:11:49 > 0:11:53they realised they dodged a bullet potentially. You know, the banana
0:11:53 > 0:11:58skin. But I think they will respect us and the way we play. Hopefully,
0:11:58 > 0:12:01we can do enough to at least give a good reflection of the way we do
0:12:01 > 0:12:08things at this football club.It's a family occasion for you?Your son,
0:12:08 > 0:12:11Sydney, is one of the mascots today. He is, he is the lead mascot with
0:12:11 > 0:12:16Iain Henderson. Unfortunately my dad died this time last year that he
0:12:16 > 0:12:20will be here in memory. Special occasion for the family.Should be
0:12:20 > 0:12:24an amazing afternoon. We wish you will be very best.Thank you. I am
0:12:24 > 0:12:29looking forward to it now.I'm sure he is. I used to play a board game
0:12:29 > 0:12:32when I was a kid, football game, can't remember what it's called but
0:12:32 > 0:12:38I always used to like to be little Rochdale. Not very interesting but I
0:12:38 > 0:12:42thought I would share that. I suppose the man who will get the
0:12:42 > 0:12:45goals for them if they score any will be Iain Henderson. Five in this
0:12:45 > 0:12:53cup run.Their captain, their leader is experienced. I've already in the
0:12:53 > 0:13:00FA Cup. Including the winner in the last round against Millwall. They
0:13:00 > 0:13:06will be looking to him today. A very clever finish. They will not get
0:13:06 > 0:13:11many today that when they do, they will want at least one to fall to
0:13:11 > 0:13:15this guy. He is the guy that can finish. The atmosphere is important
0:13:15 > 0:13:19and he is a fan favourite. It is already getting going.
0:13:19 > 0:13:20and he is a fan favourite. It is already getting going. They will
0:13:20 > 0:13:24need people like himself as captain, leader of this team to not only give
0:13:24 > 0:13:30them that assurance with his experience, but get the place is
0:13:30 > 0:13:33buzzing and rocking.Build that pressure. They have got a player
0:13:33 > 0:13:41half his age on that bench, Daniel Adshead, 16 years old. He has called
0:13:41 > 0:13:45tomorrow, doing his GCSEs. Deputy head boy as well. -- he has school
0:13:45 > 0:13:49tomorrow. He will start on the bench, I don't know whether that is
0:13:49 > 0:13:53detention.He was saying that is what he has to do at this particular
0:13:53 > 0:13:57football club. He has to promote the youth and he's doing a very good job
0:13:57 > 0:14:00in doing that over the years, some of the players that have come
0:14:00 > 0:14:01through.
0:14:01 > 0:14:04of the players that have come through. Can't go to extra time, he
0:14:04 > 0:14:08will be home to do his homework. Time to hear from Joe Thompson, just
0:14:08 > 0:14:1328 years old, he has fought back from cancer not once but twice. Here
0:14:13 > 0:14:20is his story. He is a player for Rochdale.
0:14:20 > 0:14:24I was playing quite well, to be fair. I was feeling good and then
0:14:24 > 0:14:28all of a sudden I just woke up one morning and I felt terrible. I have
0:14:28 > 0:14:32some lumps that had popped up on the left-hand side of my neck and a week
0:14:32 > 0:14:37later the doctor came back and told me that I'd got cancer. I had
0:14:37 > 0:14:41chemotherapy for six months. The doctors told me that, basically, I
0:14:41 > 0:14:47was sorted and I was clear. It was, "Right, locate, we can start to
0:14:47 > 0:14:52build", because life has been put on hold. A sense of relief, definitely.
0:14:52 > 0:14:57I came to Rochdale 18 months ago.
0:14:57 > 0:15:03I was playing week in, week out, last season. I just happened to have
0:15:03 > 0:15:06a three-year scan and the doctor just flagged up that something was
0:15:06 > 0:15:13slightly different from previous scams. -- previous scans. He tried
0:15:13 > 0:15:17to break it to me as best as he could. I burst into tears, there's
0:15:17 > 0:15:22no shame in saying that. Everything was good and it all just came
0:15:22 > 0:15:26crashing down again. I needed to make sure I got myself sorted for
0:15:26 > 0:15:30myself and obviously my family. I was petrified that, potentially,
0:15:30 > 0:15:35wasn't going to be around for them. My little girl was one, the first
0:15:35 > 0:15:39time round. But I knew, this time, I was physically going to change. I
0:15:39 > 0:15:46knew I had to spend more time in the hospital, we from her. It did... It
0:15:46 > 0:15:52broke my heart.I hope you get better soon. I miss you.
0:15:52 > 0:15:59I was on 24-hour chemotherapy. Those weeks felt long. And then I was,
0:15:59 > 0:16:03basically, locked in a room, solitary confinement. You're in a
0:16:03 > 0:16:08box. At the start of that, you're given what I would say is probably
0:16:08 > 0:16:14the most potent chemotherapy you can have. And it was torture.
0:16:14 > 0:16:17And that's where you come across the emotional side of things and the
0:16:17 > 0:16:21psychology side of things. And it was testing. And it did test my
0:16:21 > 0:16:26sanity.
0:16:26 > 0:16:30Luckily, I managed to get out after 18 days. I could barely walk. But
0:16:30 > 0:16:36when I did get myself out, little bit of breeze on my skin, I did,
0:16:36 > 0:16:40literally, feel like a free man. Not everyone has beaten cancer, so I am
0:16:40 > 0:16:46very, very lucky. Crossing the white line is something that I hoped to do
0:16:46 > 0:16:51again, even though I was obviously not guaranteed to do. It kind of
0:16:51 > 0:16:55justifies everything of why I've worked so hard and sacrificed so
0:16:55 > 0:16:59much and gone through so much pain to get out there. I know every day
0:16:59 > 0:17:03is a blessing. Being out of the football pitches where I feel free.
0:17:03 > 0:17:09You can forget about everything and just go and enjoy competing.
0:17:10 > 0:17:13We certainly wish him well, remarkable story, just six months or
0:17:13 > 0:17:18so ago he was finishing his treatment and here he is now on the
0:17:18 > 0:17:22bench this afternoon, facing the mighty Tottenham Hotspur 's.
0:17:23 > 0:17:26It's quite a story, isn't it?It is. That is the first time I've seen
0:17:26 > 0:17:33that BT. -- that video tape. Taken aback by how he handled the whole
0:17:33 > 0:17:37situation. His family is obviously very important to getting him back
0:17:37 > 0:17:41out there today. It is one of those situations where you just think, you
0:17:41 > 0:17:44know what, fair play, you've obviously fought hard to get
0:17:44 > 0:17:48yourself back out here. Hopefully he gets on the pitch.Powerful,
0:17:48 > 0:17:54powerful story listening to how hard it has been. It says a lot about who
0:17:54 > 0:17:57and what he is, that he is able to take part hopefully in some part of
0:17:57 > 0:18:02the game today. We wish him well. Let's hear from the Tottenham
0:18:02 > 0:18:06Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
0:18:06 > 0:18:10A lot has been made about the playing surface. We saw you earlier
0:18:10 > 0:18:15inspecting the pitch. You seemed very happy.I think it is fantastic.
0:18:15 > 0:18:21We need to congratulate everyone that was involved in this hard job
0:18:21 > 0:18:26to try to... To improve and changed the pitch. I think they are very
0:18:26 > 0:18:29happy.
0:18:29 > 0:18:33Everyone is happy and we are so happy because it is a pitch you can
0:18:33 > 0:18:37play football. The common touch with football, for Rochdale, Tottenham,
0:18:37 > 0:18:42the FA. -- to get in touch. We're both happy but I to recognise that
0:18:42 > 0:18:49the people that work involved to improve and change the pitch. It was
0:18:49 > 0:18:58a big job. Congratulations. Because this afternoon, football is going to
0:18:58 > 0:19:02win.You have decided to make 11 changes, how much of a gamble is
0:19:02 > 0:19:08that?No... I think almost all the players started this season in the
0:19:08 > 0:19:16Premier League and Champions League. All different cups.
0:19:16 > 0:19:19The starting XI are all international. They all have
0:19:19 > 0:19:24experience.
0:19:24 > 0:19:28A few months ago, like Son started in the Premier League, the Champions
0:19:28 > 0:19:34League, but it's not about the is rotating the squad, it is about
0:19:34 > 0:19:37being focused on the performance. We are focused and ready to compete. We
0:19:37 > 0:19:42know very well because it's important to learn from the past.
0:19:42 > 0:19:47Newport is a fantastic example of how we need to do the things. We
0:19:47 > 0:19:51have a great opportunity to show that we have learned. If not, we
0:19:51 > 0:19:55need to improve again.Thank you.
0:19:55 > 0:19:59Not the be all and end all but he could really do with a trophy.
0:19:59 > 0:20:02Desperately need a trophy in the next 18 months for the reasons many
0:20:02 > 0:20:10have spoken about. Big-name players. It is a bit of a risk today.
0:20:10 > 0:20:1511 changes and naming players in there who are short of game time.
0:20:15 > 0:20:24That could give Rochdale a confidence boost today. And the way
0:20:24 > 0:20:28they play against Newport. It will be tough. Quite good to see players
0:20:28 > 0:20:33coming back from fitness like Winks and Alderweireld. Moura's first
0:20:33 > 0:20:38start.Good to see them coming back into the squad. It can be a bit of a
0:20:38 > 0:20:41risk. Five of them almost that haven't got that game practice so to
0:20:41 > 0:20:46speak under their belts. They have got more than enough quality to get
0:20:46 > 0:20:49through this particular game. There is no way they wouldn't have seen
0:20:49 > 0:20:52the draw yesterday and thought we need to be added to get ourselves
0:20:52 > 0:21:00through.But this is Rochdale's day. Fifth round in the FA Cup. Have they
0:21:00 > 0:21:06got a chance? If we need an example of why we love the FA Cup, four days
0:21:06 > 0:21:09ago this team was in during playing against superstars and what an
0:21:09 > 0:21:14opportunity for this Rochdale team to make a name for themselves --
0:21:14 > 0:21:18playing in during. The biggest day in their club's history. They are up
0:21:18 > 0:21:22for it. The fans are so glad I can hardly hear you talk to me. Looking
0:21:22 > 0:21:26forward to it.Very noisy. The referee grabs the match ball. Danny
0:21:26 > 0:21:29Murphy and Guy Mowbray
0:21:29 > 0:21:29referee grabs the match ball. Danny Murphy and Guy Mowbray are our
0:21:29 > 0:21:33commentary team. COMMENTATOR: Thank you and welcome to the Crown Oil
0:21:33 > 0:21:37Arena for a game of firsts. First time this new pitch will be played
0:21:37 > 0:21:40upon, first time these two clubs have ever played each other and
0:21:40 > 0:21:45can't ever have been a time when any club's of fixtures at in eight days
0:21:45 > 0:21:52has been Wembley, Juventus and Rochdale. -- club's one of fixtures
0:21:52 > 0:21:55in eight days. Don McAllister who played for Spurs in the mid to late
0:21:55 > 0:21:5970s ended his playing career here. Danny Murphy comes up in the history
0:21:59 > 0:22:08of both. This Rochdale had a wing half by that name in the 1950s.
0:22:08 > 0:22:12Ian Henderson is the main man for Rochdale these days with 14 goals
0:22:12 > 0:22:18this season. Five of those in the FA Cup. Including the one that got them
0:22:18 > 0:22:25here. By meeting Millwall in their fourth-round replay. On the sandy
0:22:25 > 0:22:30loam. A remarkable job Rochdale have done to get this pitch completely
0:22:30 > 0:22:39relayed afresh in less than a week.
0:22:39 > 0:22:44Mauricio Pochettino was talking a few moments ago and he said I like
0:22:44 > 0:22:54it here, you can smell football.
0:22:54 > 0:22:58Josh Lillis in goal, son of Mark McGhee ex-Huddersfield, Darby and
0:22:58 > 0:23:04Man City play. Jim McNulty is the old head at the back. Camps is a
0:23:04 > 0:23:08very highly rated 22-year-old midfielder and former Northern
0:23:08 > 0:23:13Ireland, the U21 international. Captain Ian Henderson with a goal a
0:23:13 > 0:23:18game ratio, five games, five goals. Partnered by Humphrys, a home debut
0:23:18 > 0:23:24for the 20 on from Fulham. -- 20-year-old. Michel Vorm will be
0:23:24 > 0:23:28behind their back line that includes Toby Alderweireld for just his
0:23:28 > 0:23:32second game since a hamstring injury at the start of November. Second
0:23:32 > 0:23:36appearance back for Harry Weeks following an ankle injury. First
0:23:36 > 0:23:41start for Lucas Moura -- Harry Weeks stop sign from PSG at the end of
0:23:41 > 0:23:47January. Fernando Llorente takes his turn as the main man in attack for
0:23:47 > 0:23:59Spurs. Harry Kane and Dele Alli, for England, amongst the substitutes.
0:24:01 > 0:24:05Keith Hill in his second spell in charge of Rochdale after a brief
0:24:05 > 0:24:11interlude at Barnsley. Real characters of the lower leagues in
0:24:11 > 0:24:14England.
0:24:15 > 0:24:20Been madly in charge of this one, might be a good omen for Spurs, he
0:24:20 > 0:24:33was the man in the middle for their fifth tie last year. -- Bobby
0:24:33 > 0:24:37Madley. Ian Henderson has done the rounds with Luton and Colchester,
0:24:37 > 0:24:43started at Norwich City.
0:24:43 > 0:24:48Along with the Rochdale team, they have been enjoying the build-up all
0:24:48 > 0:24:51week. Lucas Moura, maybe not the sort of thing he expected to be
0:24:51 > 0:24:56starting a game for Tottenham at. For his first game. Although Harry
0:24:56 > 0:25:00Kane, as we heard in the build-up, did get his first football league
0:25:00 > 0:25:07appearance here for Leyton Orient aged 17.
0:25:12 > 0:25:19Rochdale in blue, Tottenham in white. It is the last 16 of the
0:25:19 > 0:25:22Emirates FA Cup. With the winners either to go to Swansea City or
0:25:22 > 0:25:26Sheffield Wednesday.
0:25:26 > 0:25:31We've been enjoying the atmosphere, let's hope we get a game to enjoy.
0:25:31 > 0:25:35Alongside me to talk you through the action is the former Tottenham
0:25:35 > 0:25:40midfielder, Danny Murphy. As the first free kick of the game goes to
0:25:40 > 0:25:44Danny's old team.Good afternoon everybody. A great opportunity for
0:25:44 > 0:25:48the Rochdale players. Brings back many memories for me, late teenage
0:25:48 > 0:25:53years playing in lower leagues. It is a chance to test yourself against
0:25:53 > 0:25:59top quality players. And show people how good you are. You raise your
0:25:59 > 0:26:02game. You try your best to put in a performance that people will
0:26:02 > 0:26:09remember.Keith Hill has been giving out that message all week.
0:26:09 > 0:26:14New pitch, not at Tottenham's behest, but at his own, three league
0:26:14 > 0:26:18games in a row postponed here over the last few weeks. He wants a good
0:26:18 > 0:26:23playing surface for his own players to perform on. It looks as though
0:26:23 > 0:26:26they've got a good playing surface. This pitch has been laid in a week,
0:26:26 > 0:26:33having been imported from Slovenia, the turf.
0:26:33 > 0:26:40It has cost an awful lot of money for a club of Rochdale's budget.
0:26:40 > 0:26:43Kieran Trippier flexing his knees as he prepares to take the throne for
0:26:43 > 0:26:55Tottenham Hotspur. -- take the throw.
0:27:02 > 0:27:08Harrison McGahey Hee. Jim McNulty, 33 last Tuesday. One of the
0:27:08 > 0:27:12experienced players in Rochdale's side. By and large it is a young
0:27:12 > 0:27:20side. One that likes to play football... The ball is spread wide.
0:27:20 > 0:27:25Done to do his stuff. Turned away by Foyth. Lucas Moura manages to get
0:27:25 > 0:27:33away. From Ryan Delaney. Moura continues on his merry way. Son
0:27:33 > 0:27:40takes it down. Excellent challenge by McGahey to prevent him from
0:27:40 > 0:27:43shooting on goal.A good start. That move from Rochdale was tremendous,
0:27:43 > 0:27:48they played out from the back. Confidence in their ability to do so
0:27:48 > 0:27:52and almost got a good chance from it. Tottenham broke away. First
0:27:52 > 0:27:57games of Moura running with the ball. We know he is good at that. --
0:27:57 > 0:28:02first glimpse.Talk about the the supporters of lower league teams,
0:28:02 > 0:28:05getting up for the big games, the Tottenham supporters are making an
0:28:05 > 0:28:08awful lot of noise as well. They've got a lot to be happy about at the
0:28:08 > 0:28:12moment with their performance performances, they have been
0:28:12 > 0:28:16fantastic. Especially Juventus, what they have achieved -- their recent
0:28:16 > 0:28:18performances. Remarkable considering the start they had they dominated
0:28:18 > 0:28:23the game.Sissoko.
0:28:23 > 0:28:26Trying to turn inside to get himself a shooting opportunity but it never
0:28:26 > 0:28:29materialised.
0:28:30 > 0:28:32WHISTLE
0:28:32 > 0:28:39A free kick for Rochdale. Mark Kitching trying to escape the
0:28:39 > 0:28:42clutches of Wanyama but he couldn't. WHISTLE
0:28:42 > 0:28:46Kitching did well, good control when he is running for the ball. Felt
0:28:46 > 0:28:54Wanyama coming. Right decision.
0:28:54 > 0:28:59Free kick looks as though it will be taken by 22-year-old Camps.
0:29:03 > 0:29:10Might get a helping hand from Joe Rafferty. WHISTLE
0:29:14 > 0:29:19Camps uses Rafferty. He clipped it forward but it will just run away
0:29:19 > 0:29:25from Humphrys.That wasn't far away from being a good little move. A bit
0:29:25 > 0:29:34of a better pass from Rafferty.
0:29:35 > 0:29:41Vorm to Foyth. Sissoko to Trippier.
0:29:44 > 0:29:48Foyth was being closed down by Kitching, but it across to other via
0:29:48 > 0:29:53Ralph, who was then closed down very successfully by Cannon. -- across to
0:29:53 > 0:29:53the virulence.
0:30:11 > 0:30:18Just over the head of Matt Done. There was a slight slip from
0:30:18 > 0:30:26Harrison McGahey. We saw one earlier from Alderweireld. It will do that
0:30:26 > 0:30:30on a new surface. It is still a million times better than what was
0:30:30 > 0:30:35here before so you have to put up with the odd thing like that. No
0:30:35 > 0:30:40excuse today for Tottenham players. Newport, the performance was
0:30:40 > 0:30:45lacklustre and the pitch was definitely a factor in that.Son
0:30:45 > 0:30:52under pressure immediately.
0:30:54 > 0:31:00Juan Foyth, his seventh senior appearance for Spurs. Lucas Moura is
0:31:00 > 0:31:06dazzling already on his first start. He was just impeded. He is good at
0:31:06 > 0:31:09running with the ball and still being in control that fast speed,
0:31:09 > 0:31:20which is difficult. He will add a different dimension for Tottenham.
0:31:25 > 0:31:32It will be a Spurs throw.
0:31:34 > 0:31:42Trippier managed to evade Matt Done, who held onto his arm.
0:31:45 > 0:31:52Trippier takes the free kick.
0:31:55 > 0:31:58Two weeks on from his blistering goal at Anfield.
0:32:07 > 0:32:12Nice and easy for Josh Lillis to roll it out to Camps. But he lost
0:32:12 > 0:32:19out to Son.
0:32:24 > 0:32:29Headed out by McNulty.
0:32:29 > 0:32:36Delaney looks tentative.
0:32:41 > 0:32:50A challenge from Henderson. Not enough to take it from Wanyama.
0:32:55 > 0:33:02Son combining with Rose. Matt Done kept it away from Kieran Trippier,
0:33:02 > 0:33:08who had advanced.
0:33:12 > 0:33:15Interesting tactically. Rochdale ended up in a five because they are
0:33:15 > 0:33:21playing two wingbacks. The three centre halves against Llorente. The
0:33:21 > 0:33:25wingbacks have to get higher otherwise the Tottenham fullbacks
0:33:25 > 0:33:32will have time and space on the ball.
0:33:37 > 0:33:42It is a young Rochdale side. The ages of the midfield three, they
0:33:42 > 0:33:46will not lack for energy and enthusiasm, even if they do not have
0:33:46 > 0:33:58experience.21 and 22.
0:34:01 > 0:34:07Son tried to pick up the pace.Josh Lillis was ready for that. He looks
0:34:07 > 0:34:13dangerous, Moura.He has started excitingly for Spurs.
0:34:31 > 0:34:37Son could not collect. McNulty will be the guards to let that go behind.
0:34:37 > 0:34:44Son has seven games without a goal, after scoring seven in 11 from
0:34:44 > 0:34:50December to January.He is having an excellent season. He's a great
0:34:50 > 0:34:54athlete, he has two feet and he can finish and he is reliable
0:34:54 > 0:34:59defensively. Superfit. He does the job asked, he is selfless. He has
0:34:59 > 0:35:05progressed a lot this season.He scored a hat-trick in the FA Cup
0:35:05 > 0:35:08last year in the sixth round against Millwall.
0:35:16 > 0:35:22Alderweireld got it away. Humphrys almost carried it back. Went
0:35:22 > 0:35:23clattering in.
0:35:35 > 0:35:40They look well organised. They look like they have a plan. Obviously
0:35:40 > 0:35:43worked hard this week, listening to the manager earlier in the
0:35:43 > 0:35:50interview.Pochettino has done his homework and recognises Rochdale are
0:35:50 > 0:35:57a team that likes to play. Keith Hill, as we talked about the pitch,
0:35:57 > 0:36:01was the reason he wanted it done, he wants the world to see his team can
0:36:01 > 0:36:08play. There is a lot of football to play with four, five games in hand
0:36:08 > 0:36:16on those above them in League 1. They looked like they have players
0:36:16 > 0:36:19in the middle of the pitch who want to get onto the ball.
0:36:30 > 0:36:36Llorente's header went straight to Camps.
0:36:37 > 0:36:41Camps. Camps does not shy away from receiving the ball in the middle of
0:36:41 > 0:36:47the field.
0:36:53 > 0:37:03Sissoko managed to get past Matt Done. Son was forced wide by the
0:37:03 > 0:37:07touch and the defending of Harrison McGahey.Good move, starting with a
0:37:07 > 0:37:13super touch in the middle of the pitch. Moura again. Sissoko down the
0:37:13 > 0:37:20right-hand side. A positive move from Tottenham.
0:37:30 > 0:37:37It will be a Rochdale corner. Trippier was under real pressure.
0:37:37 > 0:37:47Real quality on the ball from Rafferty. Really good defending.
0:37:47 > 0:37:49Matt Done will take the corner.
0:37:55 > 0:38:04Lucas Moura, everything he is doing is being greeted by rapturous
0:38:04 > 0:38:11Tottenham Hotspur applause at the moment. He was once hailed as the
0:38:11 > 0:38:16new Neymar, even though he is only six months younger. And largely lost
0:38:16 > 0:38:25his place at PSG due to the arrival of Neymar.
0:38:30 > 0:38:34Good from Kitching. Good running with the ball and pressing. Really
0:38:34 > 0:38:42trying to make an impression on this game.
0:38:49 > 0:38:59He was looking for Humphrys to win that. Lucas Moura. A hand on from
0:38:59 > 0:39:05Delaney, a free kick for Tottenham Hotspur.
0:39:14 > 0:39:19They cannot question his appetite for any sort of football match. He
0:39:19 > 0:39:27has started really well. Talking about Neymar, he was not best
0:39:27 > 0:39:31pleased he was leaving.Close to tears, apparently, losing a fellow
0:39:31 > 0:39:38Brazilian and close friend.
0:39:42 > 0:39:47Trippier with the Tottenham Hotspur free kick. Headed towards goal but
0:39:47 > 0:39:55it was easy for S. Now what, that almost went in -- for Josh Lillis.
0:39:55 > 0:39:59It is interesting to see that again because nowadays, that will always
0:39:59 > 0:40:06be given as a foul.Bobby Madley has explained the decision.
0:40:15 > 0:40:23What did they say, ungentlemanly conduct? Got away with it there.
0:40:23 > 0:40:28Only just. A slip from Josh Lillis. There are some losing their footing
0:40:28 > 0:40:30on the newly laid grass.
0:40:43 > 0:40:47Delaney finding Kitching, who turned nicely and beat Wanyama.
0:40:51 > 0:41:01Cannon. They are slipping and sliding. Tottenham have some more
0:41:01 > 0:41:07defending to do. Alderweireld does that. What a great move. Really good
0:41:07 > 0:41:13football from Rochdale. I am impressed with their confidence.
0:41:13 > 0:41:18When you look at their league position, I am shocked. The way they
0:41:18 > 0:41:22are playing at the moment, with a spring in their step, full of
0:41:22 > 0:41:27confidence.
0:41:31 > 0:41:43confidence.It was not a massively animated reaction from Keith Hill.
0:41:46 > 0:41:51Alderweireld just managed to get that away. Kitching attacked it.
0:41:51 > 0:41:56Trippier away. The job not completed, but it will do now
0:41:56 > 0:42:04because it is a free kick for Tottenham.
0:42:05 > 0:42:13The ball is not staying idle for long. Bobby Madley is going to have
0:42:13 > 0:42:21his first words.It was a bit naughty, that.
0:42:24 > 0:42:29First of all just checking as to the welfare of the injured party before
0:42:29 > 0:42:35dishing out words of advice to McGahey, who has only been booked
0:42:35 > 0:42:40twice this season and not since September, so for a centre-back,
0:42:40 > 0:42:47that is not bad.Winks did him a favour. He got up. He shrugged it
0:42:47 > 0:42:51off and carried on, which makes a big difference in a referee's dies
0:42:51 > 0:42:56when he judges a tackle like that. We have seen more than a yellow card
0:42:56 > 0:43:04for those, haven't we?Yes.
0:43:04 > 0:43:08Wanyama trying to keep Cannon at home's length and couldn't.
0:43:08 > 0:43:14Henderson.He had options left and right. What a chance! Great
0:43:14 > 0:43:20pressing, again. I think this time it was Cannon, winning it back from
0:43:20 > 0:43:28Wanyama. He wanted a free kick. He could have played his mate back in,
0:43:28 > 0:43:34he could have given it to Cannon. I was listening to the lads in the
0:43:34 > 0:43:38studio talking about they will not get many. They will not get many
0:43:38 > 0:43:44better than that.Three men in the box. Players in a better position.
0:43:44 > 0:43:52But of course, you want the glory. He is the Rochdale top scorer. He
0:43:52 > 0:43:57scored two at Bristol on Tuesday in a 3-2 defeat, a defeat that left
0:43:57 > 0:44:00them in 20 Fourth Place in League 1.
0:44:06 > 0:44:11Sissoko and the boot was raised high by Llorente. It is going to be a
0:44:11 > 0:44:18free kick for Rochdale.I think Rochdale can be pleased with the
0:44:18 > 0:44:23first 20 minutes in this game. Tottenham need to up the tempo a
0:44:23 > 0:44:31little bit. They have shown moments, but, a bit like Newport, scares
0:44:31 > 0:44:36early on, they got some warnings, and before you know it, they are a
0:44:36 > 0:44:38goal down and climbing a mountain.
0:44:43 > 0:44:48The header went straight to Camps. He just got the ball caught beneath
0:44:48 > 0:45:03his feet and so did Son.A free kick. I think it was on Llorente.
0:45:03 > 0:45:09It will have to be taken again. Jim McNulty is having a word with Ian
0:45:09 > 0:45:17Henderson and the referee.
0:45:17 > 0:45:23There is a lot of chat going on with the referee. Sometimes I used to
0:45:23 > 0:45:30say, let the game go, stop lecturing every body. Either get the yellow
0:45:30 > 0:45:36card out, or let the game go. Llorente was not on his toes for
0:45:36 > 0:45:44that.I think it was more of a lay-off, to be fair. You do not mind
0:45:44 > 0:45:48that in the final third. Sometimes things don't happen and you have to
0:45:48 > 0:45:54try.
0:45:59 > 0:46:04Rochdale's attacking, pressing play having a bit of a breather.You have
0:46:04 > 0:46:09to to vary it. You cannot always do that against any opposition because
0:46:09 > 0:46:15it is physically difficult to do it for long periods. Sometimes having a
0:46:15 > 0:46:17breather helps.Well, it does help.
0:46:27 > 0:46:32Looking for Humphrys to win it and he has. He could not win the second.
0:46:32 > 0:46:40He was fouled, Danny Rose.
0:46:56 > 0:47:02Alderweireld thought about looking for Trippier again. Llorente helps
0:47:02 > 0:47:10it onto Son. A lot to do from here. Son can do it. But the shot is
0:47:10 > 0:47:16blocked. It would have been a test for Josh Lillis. It was clever from
0:47:16 > 0:47:20Juan Foyth, the first time he played a long direct diagonal to Llorente,
0:47:20 > 0:47:25who played it well.
0:47:26 > 0:47:28who played it well.More slipping. Delaney that time lost his putting
0:47:28 > 0:47:33in his own penalty area. -- lost his footing.
0:47:39 > 0:47:44I hope for Rochdale's say, the game is not decided by anybody slipping,
0:47:44 > 0:47:46either way.
0:47:52 > 0:47:57We have reached the midway point of the first half. To be honest, and
0:47:57 > 0:48:01even game.It is a very good start from Rochdale and they can be proud
0:48:01 > 0:48:07of what they have done so far. The only problem is, as we have seen
0:48:07 > 0:48:11with teams from lower leagues playing better players, they wear
0:48:11 > 0:48:15them down. They cannot get the energy in the second half, the
0:48:15 > 0:48:19latter period of games when it is crucial, but we will see how this
0:48:19 > 0:48:27develops.Delaney did well with that. Even better with the ball
0:48:27 > 0:48:38forward. The man in the middle waiting for the cross. Blocks. Not
0:48:38 > 0:48:44in Bobby Madley's view. I am not sure his view was the best. Another
0:48:44 > 0:48:50slip, Callum Camps. Won back by the very busy Kitching. He went too long
0:48:50 > 0:48:57with it, straight into Rose. Danny Rose forward. Plenty of time for
0:48:57 > 0:49:05Josh Lillis.Son has been a bit sloppy a couple of times. When you
0:49:05 > 0:49:11are running with the ball at pace, it is difficult to choose the right
0:49:11 > 0:49:13pass sometimes. Slow himself down a little bit.
0:49:43 > 0:49:46Alderweireld is stationed in the right position pretty much every
0:49:46 > 0:49:54time the ball comes into the box.
0:49:54 > 0:49:59I thought Henderson was going to get onto that. Kieran Trippier with a
0:49:59 > 0:50:05vital defensive header and the flag is up.Another super cross from
0:50:05 > 0:50:10Rafferty. Again, good defending from Trippier. They had a man over at the
0:50:10 > 0:50:18back, but good quality ball into the box.
0:50:25 > 0:50:32Son in on goal this time, saved by Josh Lillis. Llorente's turn,
0:50:32 > 0:50:41Llorente! He misses.
0:50:41 > 0:50:47Llorente! He misses.It was a good move. Initially a really good move
0:50:47 > 0:50:52from Spurs. Should be one up. Not the best finish from Son. Nice and
0:50:52 > 0:51:01patient.
0:51:01 > 0:51:06patient. On Llorente's weaker foot. He should have done better, Son, and
0:51:06 > 0:51:13Llorente. But it was a good move. Wide of the post. That is the way it
0:51:13 > 0:51:19is going for him at the moment.Only got two since joining from Swansea
0:51:19 > 0:51:35City and one of them at Swansea in January, and another in December.
0:51:35 > 0:51:39Goals create confidence, sharpness. It is hard to come in one game here,
0:51:39 > 0:51:4620 minutes there.
0:51:49 > 0:51:52Danny Rose with the Tottenham throw.
0:52:04 > 0:52:09Another one for the visitors. They have gone 13 games unbeaten in all
0:52:09 > 0:52:15competitions. The last defeat at Manchester City in December. The
0:52:15 > 0:52:20most recent performance, excellent, coming from 2-0 down against
0:52:20 > 0:52:25Juventus on Tuesday night.
0:52:26 > 0:52:31Juventus on Tuesday night. This is the save from Son.It was a good
0:52:31 > 0:52:40save. We have seen Son early in the season put them away with ease.
0:52:40 > 0:52:44season put them away with ease.I was going to say safely back to
0:52:44 > 0:52:50Vorm, but it was nowhere near Vorm. A gift for Rochdale. It is never
0:52:50 > 0:52:56easy coming to these places. Some Tottenham players are a little bit
0:52:56 > 0:53:02off the pace. Some of them have not had many minutes recently, but they
0:53:02 > 0:53:08need to be careful.Victor Wanyama is one of those. He has not started
0:53:08 > 0:53:12a Premier League games since coming back from an injury that ruled him
0:53:12 > 0:53:13out till January.
0:53:22 > 0:53:26Rochdale claimed the corner but they are not going to get one.
0:53:54 > 0:53:58Tottenham, as you might expect, having more of the ball than
0:53:58 > 0:54:03Rochdale.
0:54:03 > 0:54:07Rochdale. Not able to do the thing they need to do with it yet, though.
0:54:07 > 0:54:13Out towards Trippier and he will get there. Nobody managed to get there
0:54:13 > 0:54:22in the middle. Lucas Moura has gone too high.It was a good move from
0:54:22 > 0:54:32Spurs again. Brilliant pass from Son. This is a good ball, as well.
0:54:32 > 0:54:41Dying for someone to come in and tap it in.
0:54:41 > 0:54:48There are signs chances are starting to come for the Premier League big
0:54:48 > 0:54:53guns. Should it go to a replay at Wembley, I am not sure when they
0:54:53 > 0:54:59will get it in. Rochdale with games in hand and Tottenham with Champions
0:54:59 > 0:55:05League to think about. It would be a fantastic day for Rochdale for that
0:55:05 > 0:55:17to happen.I have been told, they will get it in, don't worry.
0:55:18 > 0:55:23Keith Hill is one of those who enjoys life generally.Enjoying his
0:55:23 > 0:55:32afternoon. A bit like you. Happy-go-lucky.It is the company
0:55:32 > 0:55:41that keeps me so cheerful. Son, nowhere near Llorente. A little bit
0:55:41 > 0:55:44of frustration in the Spurs ranks, certainly among the supporters in
0:55:44 > 0:55:56front of us.You could argue they have been spoiled recently.
0:56:03 > 0:56:12Matt Done's turn to be frustrated. He made the run and checked his run.
0:56:12 > 0:56:14It was a misunderstanding.
0:56:19 > 0:56:27Trippier with the throw.
0:56:31 > 0:56:35Lovely clip forward from Camps. A rash finish from Henderson, the go
0:56:35 > 0:56:45to man for Rochdale goals. That was a better opportunity. He tried to
0:56:45 > 0:56:53take it early, hard technique. Watch this pass. Camps, brilliant through
0:56:53 > 0:57:01ball.Smashes at it. I think it came purely off the laces. He tried to
0:57:01 > 0:57:11take it early, he did not let it drop.Rafferty's throw.
0:57:11 > 0:57:18More confidence on the ball from Rochdale. That was a little too high
0:57:18 > 0:57:23for Matt Done. Everything we have heard and read about Rochdale, we do
0:57:23 > 0:57:27not get the chance to see them often, they do get the ball down and
0:57:27 > 0:57:32play a nice brand of football.They have been excellent. A really good
0:57:32 > 0:57:41half-hour from them.Somehow the bottom of League 1 and 11 points
0:57:41 > 0:57:44from safety, albeit with games in hand.
0:58:00 > 0:58:02Foyth was pestered by Henderson.
0:58:12 > 0:58:14He managed to advance despite Henderson.
0:58:23 > 0:58:30Son, just enough on that.
0:58:31 > 0:58:34Winks drifted away from Kitching and a touch from Llorente. And good
0:58:34 > 0:58:42covering from Delaney.
0:58:44 > 0:58:48covering from Delaney. Sissoko will not get onto that.Cleared by
0:58:48 > 0:58:57McGahey. Good defending and concentration. Spurs are probing.
0:59:01 > 0:59:03McGahey turns another one away.
0:59:10 > 0:59:16Another youngster, relatively speaking, at 22.
0:59:16 > 0:59:18speaking, at 22. George Rochdale from Sheffield United having started
0:59:18 > 0:59:24out at Blackpool. -- he joined Rochdale from Sheffield United.
0:59:36 > 0:59:42Matt Done, up and away. Llorente cannot quite find Son.
0:59:47 > 0:59:53Henderson has the ball. It will be a Spurs throw. A little bit of
0:59:53 > 0:59:59unnecessary
0:59:59 > 1:00:08unnecessary between them. Lucas Moura. He gets past Delaney. And
1:00:08 > 1:00:12coming across was McGahey to put it behind.Great defending again from
1:00:12 > 1:00:19McGahey. I think Delaney thought he had more and put himself into fifth
1:00:19 > 1:00:24gear and gone.
1:00:24 > 1:00:32And there he went.He's electric, isn't he? He's got that ability to
1:00:32 > 1:00:36just go up the gears really quickly. Very difficult to play against. Good
1:00:36 > 1:00:41control.
1:00:41 > 1:00:46Trippier at the Spurs corner.
1:00:46 > 1:00:50Son's gone near. He will go over him.
1:00:51 > 1:00:56Humphrys headed out. WHISTLE
1:00:56 > 1:01:06Guilty of holding onto Cannon, Danny Rose.
1:01:08 > 1:01:12Does he feel like he's been here before, Mauricio Pochettino? Better
1:01:12 > 1:01:16than a performance at Newport... Better chances will
1:01:17 > 1:01:21think he will be relying on the fact that they can't keep playing with
1:01:21 > 1:01:26this energy. And closing down the way they have. He will expect a bit
1:01:26 > 1:01:36more.Llorente. Lucas Moura. Tried to get it through the legs of
1:01:36 > 1:01:42Delaney. Done coming back to help.
1:01:45 > 1:01:53Trippier. Son. Trippier.
1:01:57 > 1:02:03Headed away, again. That time by Camps to keep it away from the Spurs
1:02:03 > 1:02:08attackers, Lucas Moura most notably. Great to see that. Creative midfield
1:02:08 > 1:02:12player back in there, winning his headers. Doing his bit for the team.
1:02:12 > 1:02:18WHISTLE It has to be a free kick for
1:02:18 > 1:02:25Rochdale. Sissoko almost taking a ride on the back of Andy Cannon.
1:02:26 > 1:02:36How many fouls are in there?Enough.
1:02:38 > 1:02:42Plenty of holding going on here as well. Llorente being held on to,
1:02:42 > 1:02:45this time. WHISTLE
1:02:52 > 1:02:56Llorente having words with Sissoko about presumably being fed rather
1:02:56 > 1:03:05better.Yeah. Don't mind seeing that at all.He has had one big chance,
1:03:05 > 1:03:13the Spanish striker.Yeah.
1:03:13 > 1:03:17Winks is on the run but Lillis is always going to be favourite. From
1:03:17 > 1:03:22Rochdale's point of view, it's imperative that they try and get to
1:03:22 > 1:03:24half-time without conceding.
1:03:24 > 1:03:28Give them a massive boost, to come out in the second half level.
1:03:28 > 1:03:32WHISTLE
1:03:32 > 1:03:38Lucas Moura judged to have been backing in. Done went right over the
1:03:38 > 1:03:43top of him. Some early stretching for Harry Kane rated a doubt for
1:03:43 > 1:03:46this game, he turned his ankle at Juventus, as well as doing
1:03:46 > 1:03:50everything else on Tuesday night.
1:03:50 > 1:03:55Decent ball in. Really good ball in. More good defending from Kieran
1:03:55 > 1:03:59Trippier. Three times he's been there. Great delivery in again.
1:03:59 > 1:04:04Camps. Henderson was spinning, trying to adjust.
1:04:04 > 1:04:11APPLAUSE The quality has been really good.
1:04:11 > 1:04:15Crosses into the box. Three times he's been there, really good
1:04:15 > 1:04:24defending from Trippier.
1:04:27 > 1:04:29Foyth.
1:04:36 > 1:04:43Might not have tried that had the pitch not been relayed. The bounce
1:04:43 > 1:04:47was true enough and it's played true enough despite a few slips here and
1:04:47 > 1:04:52there.It's been a right. As I said earlier, in a new pitch you will
1:04:52 > 1:04:55always get a few bits that cut up but they won't be blaming the pitch
1:04:55 > 1:05:01after this game, that's for sure. Foyth.
1:05:05 > 1:05:18Outcomes Lillis to head the ball out. -- out comes Lillis.
1:05:19 > 1:05:23Trippier to Lucas Moura. Winks.
1:05:25 > 1:05:28Winks almost got through.
1:05:30 > 1:05:40Henderson. Lost it to Wanyama. Son. Son to Llorente and returned. It was
1:05:40 > 1:05:46maybe a bit overdone. The moans and groans of the Spurs fans around us.
1:05:46 > 1:05:50Son should have shot. Two great speed, good strike of the ball, no
1:05:50 > 1:05:53need for the extra pass.
1:05:57 > 1:06:01Good defending again, though. Married really nicely. Small
1:06:01 > 1:06:03distances between the players. Good defending
1:06:03 > 1:06:06distances between the players. Good defending.
1:06:09 > 1:06:13Foyth. Couldn't go back to Vorm because of Henderson who does win it
1:06:13 > 1:06:23anyway. Humphrys gets passed to Sissoko. Out comes Danny Rose.
1:06:27 > 1:06:35Llorente. Lucas Moura.
1:06:36 > 1:06:43Cleverly done by Ryan Delaney.
1:06:43 > 1:06:50Helped on by Humphrys but it was the wrong side of Henderson.
1:06:50 > 1:07:00Rose. Helped away nicely by McNulty. Camps. That was a poor ball from
1:07:00 > 1:07:07Rose.Henderson.
1:07:07 > 1:07:16Camps. Instinctive ball through, again.
1:07:16 > 1:07:20Camps is shining as we were told he would. He's great, he sees a pass
1:07:20 > 1:07:26and he can open up teams. Alderweireld should be the cover,
1:07:26 > 1:07:30there. APPLAUSE
1:07:30 > 1:07:36They've been really brave. They pressed, they've played out from the
1:07:36 > 1:07:38back.WHISTLE Considering where they are sitting
1:07:38 > 1:07:43in the league, and their league form at the moment, it's amazing that
1:07:43 > 1:07:46they are sitting where they are when they play like this. The contrast in
1:07:46 > 1:07:53the form in the cup to the league is remarkable.Four wins from five FA
1:07:53 > 1:07:57Cup games compared to five in 28 football league games.I knew you'd
1:07:57 > 1:08:12have the stats. I teed you up.Lucas Moura. And now Danny Rose.
1:08:14 > 1:08:21Winks to Lucas Moura.
1:08:21 > 1:08:28Trippier.
1:08:29 > 1:08:34Son.
1:08:42 > 1:08:45McGahey. There was a scream from the Rochdale defender, he felt he was
1:08:45 > 1:08:56fouled by Son but the referee didn't agree. WHISTLE
1:09:02 > 1:09:09Foyth.
1:09:09 > 1:09:14Son let it run. Llorente was being dealt with by McNulty. Wanyama.
1:09:14 > 1:09:22Lucas Moura. Son Heung-min. Lucas Moura. Challenged by Camps.
1:09:22 > 1:09:29Brilliant tackle. A tad overdone, again. Clever football, though, from
1:09:29 > 1:09:32Spurs in the box. Great discipline from the Rochdale defenders in
1:09:32 > 1:09:39midfield, to get back in position. Winks dispossessed by Kitching.
1:09:39 > 1:09:45Humphrys to find Cannon to find Henderson! CHEERING
1:09:45 > 1:09:53Ian Henderson has found the net! Third time lucky.CHEERING
1:09:53 > 1:10:0045th minute, Rochdale one - zero Tottenham Hotspur. Their captain
1:10:00 > 1:10:02with the finish after another flowing move by the League 1
1:10:02 > 1:10:11strugglers.
1:10:12 > 1:10:18What a noise!Well, we talked about them going in at half-time level.
1:10:20 > 1:10:23You could argue they deserve that goal, they've been absolutely
1:10:23 > 1:10:29superb. Winks loses the ball because the Rochdale's good pressing again.
1:10:29 > 1:10:34That's a great pass and he is onside. I think it's Cannon who
1:10:34 > 1:10:42plays the past, isn't it? Wasn't going to miss that one. He can
1:10:42 > 1:10:47forget the other two now, can't he? He maintains that run. There's
1:10:47 > 1:10:50always somebody, every season, who comes up with this sort of
1:10:50 > 1:10:54goal-scoring run. Six goals in six games in FA Cup for the Rochdale
1:10:54 > 1:10:58skipper. This one will mean a whole lot more than any of the others
1:10:58 > 1:11:01right now.I said earlier they have got to be careful, Spurs, there were
1:11:01 > 1:11:07little moments that Rochdale had and you thought, come on, they've got to
1:11:07 > 1:11:10up their game. That too many of them have been caught out in their own
1:11:10 > 1:11:15half. Too many times. Which is credit to Rochdale. Now it is
1:11:15 > 1:11:19Newport away all over again. It is, they haven't learned their lesson.
1:11:19 > 1:11:22WHISTLE Yes, they have had a couple of
1:11:22 > 1:11:26chances themselves but well played, Rochdale, super half.What a
1:11:26 > 1:11:32half-time score we have for you at the Crown Oil Arena
1:11:34 > 1:11:37. Ian Henderson have the home fans rocking with the only goal at the
1:11:37 > 1:11:42end of the half. Rochdale
1:11:45 > 1:11:52STUDIO: Well, well, 63 places between these two teams in the
1:11:52 > 1:11:55league and Henderson just walking off after missing a couple of
1:11:55 > 1:11:58reasonable chances. He put that one away with aplomb.
1:12:00 > 1:12:03They had to come back from Newport and now they have got to come back
1:12:03 > 1:12:08again, Tottenham.Rochdale have been magnificent. Magnificent. The
1:12:08 > 1:12:11manager before the game, Keith Hill said they would be aggressive, they
1:12:11 > 1:12:14would pass it. They were delighted the pitch had been done because that
1:12:14 > 1:12:18was their style of play. They were going to work hard and close down.
1:12:18 > 1:12:21Carried out every single one of those things. They've been
1:12:21 > 1:12:24magnificent. It would have been disappointing if it hadn't have --
1:12:24 > 1:12:28if they hadn't have been in front because they created the best
1:12:28 > 1:12:31chances.Little to choose between the two side, you didn't know which
1:12:31 > 1:12:35one was Premier League.Everything you could possibly get caught up
1:12:35 > 1:12:38with this type of type, Spurs is getting caught out, not winning
1:12:38 > 1:12:41headers, tackles are not being aggressive and not being clinical at
1:12:41 > 1:12:44the top end of the pitch. All around, Rochdale defended well,
1:12:44 > 1:12:48passed the ball well and eventually they stuck the ball in the net.
1:12:48 > 1:12:54That's been their success, closing down in midfield, and then when they
1:12:54 > 1:12:56are actually winning the ball, playing some nice, neat football,
1:12:56 > 1:13:01using width, playing balls in behind and creating chances. We said before
1:13:01 > 1:13:06the game that if the chances will fall, they want them to fall to
1:13:06 > 1:13:10Henderson, he had two very good ones. He missed those. He wasn't
1:13:10 > 1:13:16going to miss that one. Brilliantly worked. Out wide. He puts it on a
1:13:16 > 1:13:20plate for him. He has just said to him, go on, there it is, get on the
1:13:20 > 1:13:26end of it, keep it low, tuck it away.Onside.It's fantastic play
1:13:26 > 1:13:29from Rochdale, they win the ball and then before you know it, it's in the
1:13:29 > 1:13:33back of the net.Excellent. That goal for Ian Henderson meant he is
1:13:33 > 1:13:36now the joint top scorer in the FA Cup this season with six goals,
1:13:36 > 1:13:43level with Wigan's Will Grigg. Henderson is on fire now.
1:13:43 > 1:13:46Considering the chances he missed, he took that one really confidently.
1:13:46 > 1:13:53He certainly did. There was also a possibility of a penalty shot. Maybe
1:13:53 > 1:13:57three handballs, possibly four. He fell on them. What did you think?
1:13:57 > 1:14:02Again, leading up to it, we mentioned the way they were passing.
1:14:02 > 1:14:05Bottom of League 1, Rochdale. You would never have thought that they
1:14:05 > 1:14:09were, the way they are passing. That has come from the centre-half.
1:14:09 > 1:14:15Through, one, two touch football. They have been so good on the eye.
1:14:15 > 1:14:18Keith Hill told us that is the way they like to play football and that
1:14:18 > 1:14:22is the way they have taken the game to Tottenham Hotspur. They have the
1:14:22 > 1:14:27goal, they could have had a penalty, when you rightly say that it comes
1:14:27 > 1:14:30across to the right-hand side. Again, stretching the pitch, making
1:14:30 > 1:14:35it big. Getting it out wide, a big feature of their play. Getting
1:14:35 > 1:14:39crosses in. I don't think... I think the referee gets it right. He slips,
1:14:39 > 1:14:44I don't think there's anything you can a penalty for. I don't forgive
1:14:44 > 1:14:50is deliberate.It's not a penalty. He falls over.Toby Alderweireld has
1:14:50 > 1:14:52slipped more than everyone this afternoon, the pitch is a problem
1:14:52 > 1:14:58but that is not a penalty, he lands on his chest. No harm done. Not
1:14:58 > 1:15:04after the other night.Not after last night.That's for sure.
1:15:04 > 1:15:07Overall, they have breast well, played well and Henderson, you
1:15:07 > 1:15:12mentioned he got the chances he had earlier. -- they have pressed well.
1:15:12 > 1:15:17The sign of a good forward is just keep getting in there. He has belief
1:15:17 > 1:15:23that one will fall to him. He had two excellent chances again.
1:15:23 > 1:15:27Pressing, working hard. Putting them under pressure in the final third.
1:15:27 > 1:15:31Making them kick it along. That what they've done. That's been their
1:15:31 > 1:15:37success.From the start of the game that is what Keith set out to do.
1:15:37 > 1:15:42Spurs have approached the game right, they allowed Rochdale to get
1:15:42 > 1:15:45small victories. The midfield of Rochdale have been phenomenal.
1:15:45 > 1:15:48Wanyama has wanted to fight people too much instead of being more
1:15:48 > 1:15:53elusive. They have been on top of him, winning balls. A good
1:15:53 > 1:15:56opportunity. That's an example. Wanyama wanted to fight, rather than
1:15:56 > 1:16:00keeping the ball moving quickly. They have been right on of
1:16:00 > 1:16:04Tottenham, not allowing them everything, showing zero respect.
1:16:04 > 1:16:07You can see how Henderson scores goals with his movement. He gets
1:16:07 > 1:16:11into those positions. He's had a bit of everything about him in that
1:16:11 > 1:16:17first half. He's gone short for the ball, he's gone wrong for the ball.
1:16:17 > 1:16:21It just shows you, it's important to bounce back after a miss.He gets
1:16:21 > 1:16:24into those positions.The other threat, Rafferty down the right-hand
1:16:24 > 1:16:28side, lots of good crosses. They are playing three at the back, Rochdale
1:16:28 > 1:16:33and it's caused Spurs problems. Rafferty has been the wingback
1:16:33 > 1:16:37constantly coming down this site. They have had about 50% of their
1:16:37 > 1:16:42play coming down the right-hand side. -- this side. The options and
1:16:42 > 1:16:46quality he puts into the box. Look at the options. Kieran Trippier has
1:16:46 > 1:16:51done so well to defend three or four of those. Rafferty is a big problem.
1:16:51 > 1:16:54Going forward Tottenham have had their moment and opportunities, not
1:16:54 > 1:16:57as many as they would like. Perhaps the best fell to Llorente
1:16:57 > 1:17:04eventually.I was concerned before the game, how many players have not
1:17:04 > 1:17:07had enough gametime for Tottenham and their performance suggests that.
1:17:07 > 1:17:12A lot of the players have been rusty including Llorente. As we said, the
1:17:12 > 1:17:16ball comes and it comes inside, he scuffs it, should hit the target. A
1:17:16 > 1:17:21good save from the keeper. He is bright and alert. But it falls fall
1:17:21 > 1:17:26to him. He chooses not to hit it he comes to his left and misses the
1:17:26 > 1:17:29target. That has summed up Tottenham's performance, they have
1:17:29 > 1:17:36four or five who are nowhere near fit.Lucas Moura, first-time rule
1:17:36 > 1:17:41from the start of the game, he is definitely quick. That is for sure.
1:17:41 > 1:17:45We had a few moments in this studio where he got us off our feet. He has
1:17:45 > 1:17:49a lot to his game. He has been one of the brightest sparks for Spurs,
1:17:49 > 1:17:52breaking into these types of areas. Some of the passes he has played has
1:17:52 > 1:17:56been down to the lack of, I suppose, playing with each other for a long
1:17:56 > 1:18:00period of time.Nothing wrong with that one.Picks out a pass very
1:18:00 > 1:18:07well. Speed and ability to go past people at will. This is not even him
1:18:07 > 1:18:10opening up. A couple of incidences down this right-hand side especially
1:18:10 > 1:18:14where he is causing havoc, linked up really well with Llorente and Son.
1:18:14 > 1:18:19Slightly over hit that one. But that will come with that game practice.
1:18:21 > 1:18:25Between him and trivia down this right-hand side has been the main
1:18:25 > 1:18:28threat. A fantastic ball from Trippier -- him and Trippier. Happy
1:18:28 > 1:18:33to go for it and get into the area. Not the best of finishes but this is
1:18:33 > 1:18:37the one that got us off our feet. We said, what has happened, a blink of
1:18:37 > 1:18:40an eye and he is in front of you, in the box and maybe Llorente should
1:18:40 > 1:18:45hold his run a bit longer.Spurs in another hole, the big boys are going
1:18:45 > 1:18:48to have to come on?Ten or 15 minutes and if nothing changes
1:18:48 > 1:18:53within that time, then he will look to the bench to bring on the big
1:18:53 > 1:18:58guns.Why not start with them?We said that.Not necessarily
1:18:58 > 1:19:02disrespect. But we said before the game that certainly when you look at
1:19:02 > 1:19:06it, when you come away to grounds like this, you know it will be
1:19:06 > 1:19:09difficult.Staff sometimes with your best players, get the goals, get up
1:19:09 > 1:19:12and take off your best players instead of doing it the other way
1:19:12 > 1:19:15round. It looks like they will have to come on.Rochdale have something
1:19:15 > 1:19:20really big to hang onto, this could be one of the biggest cup shocks in
1:19:20 > 1:19:23living memory.Newport had the exact same thing, they had something to
1:19:23 > 1:19:26hold onto and they almost did the wrong thing, they stopped doing what
1:19:26 > 1:19:29got them there and they started to drop off and got deeper. That is how
1:19:29 > 1:19:34Spurs got back into the game. They need to be brave in the second half
1:19:34 > 1:19:38and the same pressure on Spurs, I am not saying get the second but don't
1:19:38 > 1:19:44drop too deep.Final match of the FA Cup fifth round tomorrow live for
1:19:44 > 1:19:49you as League 1 Wigan Athletic take on Manchester City. A replay of the
1:19:49 > 1:19:522013 cup final when Wigan upset the odds.
1:19:55 > 1:20:00It was a boyhood dream. When you're growing up, playing with your
1:20:00 > 1:20:02friends in the park.You dream about being a footballer.
1:20:02 > 1:20:03friends in the park.You dream about being a footballer.You always dream
1:20:03 > 1:20:09about playing at Wembley. You dream about playing an FA Cup final. It
1:20:09 > 1:20:13was an honour to lead the team out. It was a great day. Obviously,
1:20:13 > 1:20:17disappointing not to be in the starting XI.We went into the cup
1:20:17 > 1:20:22final quietly confident.We believed we could win the game.The first
1:20:22 > 1:20:27five or ten minutes they took the game to us but as the game went on,
1:20:27 > 1:20:29we got more control of the game.
1:20:31 > 1:20:36A chance to take it first-time but he puts it wide! Had he hit that one
1:20:36 > 1:20:40first time, he might have given Wigan the lead. That player got sent
1:20:40 > 1:20:45off late on.Second yellow card. Inevitable red card.As soon as they
1:20:45 > 1:20:49went down to ten men we had a feeling it was going to be our day.
1:20:49 > 1:20:53A great story for Ben who had just come back from a serious injury.
1:20:53 > 1:20:53Come
1:20:53 > 1:20:54come back from a serious injury. Come off the bench and I remember
1:20:54 > 1:20:59the corner coming in.Headed in!
1:21:02 > 1:21:07He has won the FA Cup final for Wigan Athletic! What a day. This is
1:21:07 > 1:21:11the sort of moment that makes your hairs stand up.To score the winning
1:21:11 > 1:21:14goal that was something special and probably something you can't really
1:21:14 > 1:21:20explain. Lucky enough that it happened to me.That's the stuff of
1:21:20 > 1:21:28fairy tale.Wigan, unbelievably, have won the 2013 FA Cup final.
1:21:28 > 1:21:32Wonderful piece of history that Ben Watson has provided, not just for
1:21:32 > 1:21:35Wigan but for football. As a boy, growing up and you see the captain
1:21:35 > 1:21:38's leading their teams are, you always dream one day it could
1:21:38 > 1:21:43possibly be you. And then you get the chance to lift the cup. It was
1:21:43 > 1:21:47an amazing feeling. You can't forget that day. Everywhere you go in Wigan
1:21:47 > 1:21:50there were pictures, everyone was talking about it.To go into that
1:21:50 > 1:21:54cup final with no one giving us a chance, and we proved people wrong
1:21:54 > 1:22:01was a great achievement.Little Wigan, how far we've come from the
1:22:01 > 1:22:04non-leagues to, you know, winning an FA Cup.Not many people have a
1:22:04 > 1:22:09medal. I am more than proud to be able to show mine off. There's not a
1:22:09 > 1:22:14day go by that someone isn't reminding you about it. It's a day
1:22:14 > 1:22:18you can't forget. My kids talk about it quite a lot. It still memories
1:22:18 > 1:22:23that I am still reliving to this day. -- it is still memories.
1:22:25 > 1:22:30Coverage of that match from 7:30pm. We will have the winning manager
1:22:30 > 1:22:34that stay with us, Roberto Martinez. Don't forget, this is the last day
1:22:34 > 1:22:38you can register your team for the people's cup. The details are on the
1:22:38 > 1:22:39website.
1:22:41 > 1:22:44Another view on this match. We are pitch side with the Rochdale
1:22:44 > 1:22:46Chairman.
1:22:48 > 1:22:51I have Chris Dunphy with me as the big guns from Tottenham are
1:22:51 > 1:22:56training, warming up. They could be calling on the likes of Harry Kane
1:22:56 > 1:23:00and Dele Alli. Chris, what a first from your team.Brilliant. A great
1:23:00 > 1:23:05display of what we can do. What we have lost all of the talk was about
1:23:05 > 1:23:09the pitch before. We can see now why we wanted a pitched just as much as
1:23:09 > 1:23:13Tottenham. We have been playing some great football. We talked about the
1:23:13 > 1:23:17calibre of players that are training and warming up for the second half
1:23:17 > 1:23:20for Tottenham potentially. I think you are thinking fingers crossed
1:23:20 > 1:23:25they stay on the bench?Well, bring them on! Bring them on! We're doing
1:23:25 > 1:23:30OK as it is at the moment. I like the way we are playing. I just hope
1:23:30 > 1:23:33we can keep it up for the full 90 minutes. The irony is, with the
1:23:33 > 1:23:38pitch the way it is, what a transformation since the last cup
1:23:38 > 1:23:41tie against Millwall, the goal of that calibre and the way Watchdog
1:23:41 > 1:23:44executed it possibly wouldn't have been possible with that picture on
1:23:44 > 1:23:50before -- the way that Rochdale executed it.No it wouldn't.-- that
1:23:50 > 1:23:54pitch before. Has that first 45 worked perfectly? You would have to
1:23:54 > 1:23:59ask the manager. I am a spectator like anybody else on match day. I
1:23:59 > 1:24:04thought we gave a good account. Our midfield did extremely well. We look
1:24:04 > 1:24:08forward, we are taking the game to Tottenham. That is what I wanted to
1:24:08 > 1:24:11see. We will always look suspect at the back but we're up against
1:24:11 > 1:24:16quality forwards. But I am happy. How are you bottom of League 1
1:24:16 > 1:24:19playing like that?People ask us that every week. Usually because the
1:24:19 > 1:24:25opposition scores more goals! We have got a lot of games in hand, I
1:24:25 > 1:24:28am hoping we will rectify that. Fingers crossed. On your behalf it
1:24:28 > 1:24:32should be a terrific second half. Thank you.Thanks.
1:24:35 > 1:24:38Let's hope we get a game to enjoy as well.
1:24:41 > 1:24:44That almost went in but the whistle had gone.
1:24:46 > 1:24:53Here's Henderson. Henderson shot straight at Vorm. Son saved by
1:24:53 > 1:25:00Lillis, now it is Llorente's turn! Llorente misses. Henderson!
1:25:00 > 1:25:02Henderson has found the net!
1:25:04 > 1:25:08STUDIO: Last time Rochdale beat a team from the top flight in the FA
1:25:08 > 1:25:15Cup was 1971. Getting on for 50 years ago. That was commentary. Can
1:25:15 > 1:25:20they do the same against Tottenham? Lucas Moura seems to be leading for
1:25:20 > 1:25:24something good to happen in the second of -- that was commentary. No
1:25:24 > 1:25:29sign Rochdale coming out, maybe they want to stay there and stick at 1-0.
1:25:29 > 1:25:32The manager will be saying more of the same, keep up the aggression,
1:25:32 > 1:25:37keep on passing it the way you work and closing down. Do everything you
1:25:37 > 1:25:41did in that first half. They will be under pressure, I have no doubt,
1:25:41 > 1:25:45from Tottenham's point of view, they have got to move the ball a little
1:25:45 > 1:25:49bit quicker.Forward quicker. Pochettino before the match said how
1:25:49 > 1:25:54happy he was about 33 times about the pitch. Probably less happy now.
1:25:54 > 1:25:59He's got to do something. His team need to do something, they need to
1:25:59 > 1:26:02step it up a notch, get themselves back into this game. Give it ten
1:26:02 > 1:26:06minutes and he will look to make some changes and bring on the big
1:26:06 > 1:26:10guns.We talked about the mental aspect for Rochdale, there is the
1:26:10 > 1:26:14Chairman with the manager. I thought it was John Watson but it certainly
1:26:14 > 1:26:15didn't sound like him.
1:26:16 > 1:26:21This is potentially a mass giant-killing.It is. The difficult
1:26:21 > 1:26:26part is remaining positive.-- massive giant-killing.At the start
1:26:26 > 1:26:31of the programme, we said the messages, give them the confidence
1:26:31 > 1:26:36and positivity, play on the front foot. They will concede eventually.
1:26:36 > 1:26:40They have something to hold onto. It will give them so much positivity.
1:26:40 > 1:26:45They have got to remain positive. Here they go. Henderson walking out.
1:26:45 > 1:26:49Potential matchwinner, potential hero for Rochdale. They are marching
1:26:49 > 1:26:54out onto the pitch for the 45 minutes of their life. Time for the
1:26:54 > 1:27:01second half in the company of Danny Murphy and Guy Mowbray. COMMENTATOR:
1:27:01 > 1:27:06Thank you, Gary. Mentioned that famous win over Coventry, they have
1:27:06 > 1:27:10since lost all six FA Cup ties against top sides. There was a
1:27:10 > 1:27:15problem with the pitch this time, but last time there was a problem
1:27:15 > 1:27:20with the floodlights. It took place on Monday afternoon, quite a few
1:27:20 > 1:27:24people took the day off work and school to get here. David Cross
1:27:24 > 1:27:29scored for Rochdale. FA Cup back story, he went on to win the cup
1:27:29 > 1:27:34with West Ham in 1980.
1:27:34 > 1:27:39No changes for either side for the start of the second half. But
1:27:39 > 1:27:43something 's got to change for Tottenham Hotspur?Yes.
1:27:44 > 1:27:50It looks like Lucas Moura has come over to this left-hand side for now.
1:27:50 > 1:27:52Son up top. Sissoko on the right
1:27:52 > 1:27:54over to this left-hand side for now. Son up top. Sissoko on the right.
1:27:54 > 1:27:58Could be a 4-4- two. That makes sense to me.
1:28:00 > 1:28:06Didn't get enough head on the ball. Henderson found Cannon. Foyth timed
1:28:06 > 1:28:11his intervention and it's behind for a Rochdale goalkick.The reason he
1:28:11 > 1:28:17has done that is because the Rochdale defence for long periods
1:28:17 > 1:28:21were looking comfortable. An extra body in the box is going to give
1:28:21 > 1:28:25them a different problem, especially when those crosses come in. With
1:28:25 > 1:28:31Moura's pace on this side, testing Rafferty...
1:28:33 > 1:28:37Lillis gets the ball up and away.
1:28:41 > 1:28:45Winks.
1:28:45 > 1:28:50Might become ball for the goal that we have seen so far. Robert of
1:28:50 > 1:28:53possession in midfield. -- he was robbed of possession.Yeah, he had
1:28:53 > 1:28:58his head in his hands. Sometimes that happens. If you are a
1:28:58 > 1:29:02midfielder who wants to get on the ball, make things happen, get it off
1:29:02 > 1:29:04the back four, take some responsibility, you will get caught
1:29:04 > 1:29:10occasionally.WHISTLE You have to learn from it.
1:29:10 > 1:29:13It's not really the type of pitch you want to be running with the
1:29:13 > 1:29:18ball.
1:29:18 > 1:29:22ball.McGahey with the throw.
1:29:22 > 1:29:27Rafferty.
1:29:27 > 1:29:32Foyth under pressure from Humphrys. The ball has rolled behind for what
1:29:32 > 1:29:38Humphrys thinks is a corner. The assistant showing the referee, he
1:29:38 > 1:29:40agrees with him.
1:29:42 > 1:29:46For play from Foyth. He has looked a bit tentative at times today. Too
1:29:46 > 1:29:49many touches on the ball, sometimes.
1:29:57 > 1:30:07Joe Rafferty's corner. Kitching came flying through to try to meet it.
1:30:07 > 1:30:12Matt Done went for the percentage option but he got too much boot to
1:30:12 > 1:30:21ball.Yes, he overdid that.
1:30:26 > 1:30:32That will be a free kick.
1:30:33 > 1:30:38I think Tottenham have to mix up the game better. The keeper has to make
1:30:38 > 1:30:42better decisions. Passing it to a centre-half, encouraging them to
1:30:42 > 1:30:49come and press. There are times to plague and times to hit one of the
1:30:49 > 1:30:54best headers in the Premier League. Mix it up. Son has been dispossessed
1:30:54 > 1:31:01by Callum Camps. Josh Lillis said to McGahey, that is mine.
1:31:07 > 1:31:14The flag is up against Humphrys.
1:31:22 > 1:31:27Rose was caught by Humphrys. Advantage indicated by the referee.
1:31:27 > 1:31:37It has not gone anywhere for Spurs. Henderson offside.
1:31:37 > 1:31:43When you are trying to play long passes, you have to plant your left
1:31:43 > 1:31:48leg. Once you are slipped, you know that is harder to do. You have to
1:31:48 > 1:31:55adapt a little bit. Wanyama slipping out trying to play a 60 yards
1:31:55 > 1:32:01diagonal. You do not need to.
1:32:07 > 1:32:1430 years since Spurs lost in the FA Cup to aid team from the third tier
1:32:14 > 1:32:23or lower, January 1988, against Port Vale.I think I was at that game. I
1:32:23 > 1:32:31think. My uncle played for Port Vale.It is an education. Was Ray
1:32:31 > 1:32:39Walker the captain?Absolutely.
1:32:51 > 1:32:58That was a little casual from Alderweireld.
1:33:01 > 1:33:10Winks holding on to Henderson. No free kick for Rochdale.
1:33:13 > 1:33:19Llorente let it go. In the right position and reading it nicely was
1:33:19 > 1:33:26Ryan Delaney.Calm defending again. Their decision-making at the back
1:33:26 > 1:33:31has been good.
1:33:33 > 1:33:40has been good.22-year-old Harrison McGahey. Delaney. They have a good
1:33:40 > 1:33:45understanding between them.Possibly better than Alderweireld and Foyth,
1:33:45 > 1:33:50so far, but they have not played together too many times.
1:33:55 > 1:34:04I am not sure why Vorm put him under that much pressure.
1:34:26 > 1:34:35Llorente managed to turn. The ball rolled away too far from his boot.
1:34:40 > 1:34:45Out for a Spurs throw. A bit of frustration around us, the Spurs
1:34:45 > 1:34:49supporters.
1:34:49 > 1:34:56Dele Alli is going through his structures. They might need to
1:34:56 > 1:35:02freshen up soon. Especially when you have the quality Spurs have on the
1:35:02 > 1:35:07bench.
1:35:08 > 1:35:11bench.Among the substitutes they have what might be the spine of
1:35:11 > 1:35:23England's World Cup bid. Dier, Alli, and Harry Kane.
1:35:29 > 1:35:35This for Rochdale is their World Cup.It is, it would be a remarkable
1:35:35 > 1:35:43achievement. But there is a long way to go yet.I am sure this game will
1:35:43 > 1:35:56be watched by Josh Lillis' dad Mark. He is working in India.
1:36:06 > 1:36:14Spurs fans want the ball played forward rather than sideways.
1:36:14 > 1:36:21You have to be patient as a fan sometimes. You have to play your way
1:36:21 > 1:36:32through.A bit of a hobble from Camps after that challenge. It was
1:36:32 > 1:36:37full-blooded, for sure.Winks, a lot of energy about him since half-time
1:36:37 > 1:36:44and he goes for goal.Well gathered by Josh Lillis. It was good from
1:36:44 > 1:36:52Winks. I am a fan of him. The Madrid games, arguably one of the best
1:36:52 > 1:36:59players on the pitch.Outcomes Josh Lillis again. Spurs seem to be
1:36:59 > 1:37:07stepping it up a little bit. They should be. More care from Son and
1:37:07 > 1:37:14Moura is in.
1:37:14 > 1:37:23Plenty of time for Lillis here.
1:37:24 > 1:37:30They will want to slow it down, take as much time as they can.Forward
1:37:30 > 1:37:36from Rafferty. For a Rochdale throw.
1:37:42 > 1:37:48Cannon working hard to keep it.
1:37:48 > 1:37:54Wanyama has forced him to putting the ball out of play. It is a
1:37:54 > 1:38:01Tottenham throw-in.Cannon has had a good game.
1:38:10 > 1:38:11Lucas Moura.
1:38:23 > 1:38:30Son was dispossessed by McNulty. Kitching and the whistle has gone
1:38:30 > 1:38:37and the free kick will be Spurs'.I do not know why he is having a go at
1:38:37 > 1:38:41the referee. What does he expect? He is not going to have it all his own
1:38:41 > 1:38:50way. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Alderweireld. In a game like
1:38:50 > 1:38:56this, you will get challenged, tested.
1:38:56 > 1:39:00tested.Spurs have been challenged right from the start by every
1:39:00 > 1:39:09Rochdale player. They came back from 2-0 down against Juventus midweek.
1:39:09 > 1:39:20Kitching found Henderson. Matt Done went on the run past him.
1:39:20 > 1:39:26Comfortable for Vorm. Mousa Dembele, Harry Kane.
1:39:26 > 1:39:30Harry Kane. Arguably their two most influential players in the last two
1:39:30 > 1:39:35years. Dele Alli on the bench, of course. You are taking three
1:39:35 > 1:39:45wonderful players out of the side. But I get your point. There is still
1:39:45 > 1:39:5033 minutes left. The quality they have the pitch should be confident
1:39:50 > 1:39:54enough to feel they can get back into the game. The collision has
1:39:54 > 1:40:00resulted in a free kick.
1:40:04 > 1:40:12That was not a pure slip. Sissoko into much of a hurry to get the ball
1:40:12 > 1:40:16back. The referee telling him to calm his passion a little. And
1:40:16 > 1:40:22having a word with Iain Henderson. One of the old heads and Rochdale
1:40:22 > 1:40:27will need them now. The third time ever they have been in the fifth
1:40:27 > 1:40:36round. They have never reached the quarterfinals.
1:40:44 > 1:40:49A Danny Rose delivery. Llorente is on the move.It will not reach
1:40:49 > 1:40:57anybody. It was too small a run-up. Technically it is difficult to kick
1:40:57 > 1:40:59the ball with pace from a short run-up.
1:41:26 > 1:41:34Sissoko through to Lucas Moura! And that is a fine finish. Lucas Moura
1:41:34 > 1:41:43has dazzled in only his second Tottenham appearance. He might just
1:41:43 > 1:41:47have rescued their FA Cup hopes today.They can't finish from a
1:41:47 > 1:41:55quality footballer. A good move from Spurs. Talk about patients in the
1:41:55 > 1:42:01build-up. He starts it, carries on the run. It was a good pick out from
1:42:01 > 1:42:07Sissoko. On his left foot, no problem. He has been the most likely
1:42:07 > 1:42:22the whole game. They have a little gem. Good business for Spurs.
1:42:22 > 1:42:24gem. Good business for Spurs.A player who was always up for the Cup
1:42:24 > 1:42:30at his previous club. Whether the last three seasons with Paris St
1:42:30 > 1:42:39Germain. And he is the man who has made it 1-1.
1:42:44 > 1:42:48Had not got a look in in the French table toppers this season. He looks
1:42:48 > 1:42:55like he will be more than a regular starter for Tottenham. Has not
1:42:55 > 1:43:01played for Brazil for almost two years. They could be question marks
1:43:01 > 1:43:08over attitude. There is no question mark over ability.
1:43:09 > 1:43:14mark over ability.Rochdale have it all to do again. If the final
1:43:14 > 1:43:23whistle went now, they would be very happy.McGahey to lift one forward.
1:43:23 > 1:43:28What a chance. Down goes Henderson. Bobby Madley waved away the Rochdale
1:43:28 > 1:43:35appeals for a penalty.
1:43:35 > 1:43:42No. It is a coming together. A bit soft, that would have been. Although
1:43:42 > 1:43:48he hurts to be more careful. Some referees might have pointed straight
1:43:48 > 1:43:52to the spot.Well watched by the referee. Coming again with
1:43:52 > 1:44:02Humphreys. That was tame, to say the least. There is going to be a
1:44:02 > 1:44:08substitution and the first manager to move is Pochettino. Harry Winks
1:44:08 > 1:44:12is coming off and Erik Lamela is coming on, which looks like Spurs
1:44:12 > 1:44:16are going for the winning goal. Winks did well the second half.
1:44:16 > 1:44:23Added tempo in the midfield. Obviously needs minutes. Protecting
1:44:23 > 1:44:31him a little bit.You must bear in mind that Harry Winks was out all of
1:44:31 > 1:44:39January with an ankle injury and so he is still coming back to fitness.
1:44:39 > 1:44:44Lamela effectively coming back to fitness. He was out over a year with
1:44:44 > 1:44:49a hip injury. He only returned in November. He has looked sharp, as
1:44:49 > 1:44:53well. He has done well when we have seen him the last couple of games.
1:44:59 > 1:45:01Almost played a perfect ball through and that would have been an
1:45:01 > 1:45:09introduction. Spurs have notably stepped it up.It is a mixture, they
1:45:09 > 1:45:13have stepped it up and of course Rochdale have dropped it a little
1:45:13 > 1:45:16bit. Hard to maintain that performance from the first half,
1:45:16 > 1:45:23with the energy.
1:45:24 > 1:45:27Rose pushed by Rafferty.
1:45:43 > 1:45:49This time Danny has his wish. Kieran Trippier will be swinging this one
1:45:49 > 1:45:53in.They are not told to play in swingers. He demanded that ball, I
1:45:53 > 1:46:03like that.It is Lamela.A bad ball again.
1:46:03 > 1:46:08again.The centre-back was not up to it. Preventing Humphreys getting
1:46:08 > 1:46:13away at speed. The first yellow card of the match. If you are going to
1:46:13 > 1:46:19take a yellow, that is why. Breakaway, danger. Call it taking
1:46:19 > 1:46:24one for the team. You will never get your manager telling you off for
1:46:24 > 1:46:26those.
1:46:35 > 1:46:39Jim McNulty is taking his time with the Rochdale free kick.
1:46:59 > 1:47:07The tackle helped, it bounced nicely for Lamela.
1:47:07 > 1:47:15Trippier. Fired one over, but behind. In fact it was deflected
1:47:15 > 1:47:21that way. They Spurs corner.
1:47:22 > 1:47:27The tempo is better from Spurs. People passing, running off the ball
1:47:27 > 1:47:36more. Pressing higher up the pitch.
1:47:36 > 1:47:43He went for the short option.
1:47:46 > 1:47:52Emphatic by Humphreys.
1:47:55 > 1:48:00Keith Hill tapping away with the rhythm of the Spurs fans' chanting.
1:48:00 > 1:48:08I think that might have been accidental.
1:48:18 > 1:48:23The system change and tactical change has helped Spurs. Caused more
1:48:23 > 1:48:34problems. Rochdale cannot quite get control in the same way will -- way.
1:48:34 > 1:48:37Add an extra body higher up the pitch when they are pressing, as
1:48:37 > 1:48:37well.
1:48:48 > 1:48:52There are some Rochdale just starting to look a bit weary.
1:48:52 > 1:48:58Understandably so. They have put in a tremendous shift. They have worked
1:48:58 > 1:49:07together as a team. And they are still in this game.Watched by a
1:49:07 > 1:49:12capacity crowd they would like to have back on Tuesday for the game
1:49:12 > 1:49:17against MK Dons. A key game at the bottom of the league. Won't be able
1:49:17 > 1:49:24to make that one. I was going to say, see you here. Bobby Madley
1:49:24 > 1:49:33wants a word.
1:49:38 > 1:49:47Yes, it is a foul. It is a bit far out.
1:49:49 > 1:49:55What have Keith Hill's team got up their sleeves here?
1:49:59 > 1:50:07McNulty and Delaney are up. Pretty equal match height wise between the
1:50:07 > 1:50:16two teams. Llorente using his weight on Delaney. Midway point of the
1:50:16 > 1:50:28second half. Can watch Del retake the lead? -- can Rochdale? Trying to
1:50:28 > 1:50:37catch Vorm out.He tried to hit it. In the same way Rinaldo does. With
1:50:37 > 1:50:40that dip and swerve. But it was a miskick. At least he had the courage
1:50:40 > 1:50:48to try it.
1:50:49 > 1:50:51Camps took it away from Lucas Moura.
1:51:07 > 1:51:11Rochdale and MK Dons is Wednesday, not Tuesday, if you are thinking of
1:51:11 > 1:51:16coming. So you can make it after all, Danny.OK, I will meet you
1:51:16 > 1:51:18here.
1:51:25 > 1:51:33Rochdale 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur. It is a response now from Rochdale
1:51:33 > 1:51:38after nonstop Spurs pressure leading to the equaliser.Watching Rochdale
1:51:38 > 1:51:42play has been a pleasure. If you are in the area, the way they play is a
1:51:42 > 1:51:48pleasure to watch.
1:51:52 > 1:51:59Alderweireld has to be careful now.
1:51:59 > 1:52:01A Spurs throw.
1:52:06 > 1:52:11I know they brought on Erik Lamela but it is strange to move Moura to
1:52:11 > 1:52:18the right. When he was having such joy on the left.
1:52:45 > 1:52:55This is better. Making them run. Danny Rose got to that. Tottenham
1:52:55 > 1:53:03Hotspur have a corner.Good tracking. Cannon, I think, tracking
1:53:03 > 1:53:09his runner. We will have a Spurs change before the corner and Dele
1:53:09 > 1:53:17Alli will get a run out. Taking the place of Lucas Moura. As you would
1:53:17 > 1:53:21expect, there is a rippling round of applause for the Brazilian from the
1:53:21 > 1:53:28Spurs fans.I am surprised because he has been their best player.
1:53:28 > 1:53:33Obviously, he has to get match fit, so maybe they are protecting him on
1:53:33 > 1:53:37a heavy pitch. Not a bad substitution to have.This young
1:53:37 > 1:53:43man. Lucas Moura has only come off the bench five times in France this
1:53:43 > 1:53:50season. He will be a way away from being finely tuned. Trippier, over
1:53:50 > 1:53:58the bar. Was it a huge miss? It was, Victor Wanyama.
1:53:58 > 1:54:10Victor Wanyama. It was a chance. Oh, it was actually harder to miss. It
1:54:10 > 1:54:12came off his knee.
1:54:17 > 1:54:21He will hope he will not live to regret that.Thinking of his goal
1:54:21 > 1:54:29from Anfield. That was some strike. Wow. Advancing 20 yards was Josh
1:54:29 > 1:54:35Lillis.
1:54:37 > 1:54:44There is time yet. 18 minutes, but at the moment, that could be the
1:54:44 > 1:54:50miss that takes us back to Wembley for a replay. That must sounds nice
1:54:50 > 1:54:54to Rochdale fans. But work to do yet and Dele Alli is making an impact
1:54:54 > 1:55:05already. What a vital block. That will be a free kick. Rafferty is
1:55:05 > 1:55:10pleading innocence as Danny Rose spiralled to the floor. It will be
1:55:10 > 1:55:19yellow for the Rochdale number two. I think McGahey went down. I think
1:55:19 > 1:55:23with the pitch, the occasion, nervous energy, there will be
1:55:23 > 1:55:30Rochdale players feeling it.
1:55:32 > 1:55:39Confirmation of Rafferty's card.
1:55:54 > 1:56:01Kieran Trippier to try to find the right ball in.
1:56:01 > 1:56:05right ball in. Josh Lillis with two 's strong hands to it.It was a
1:56:05 > 1:56:10great ball in. Need someone to get across the keeper. It was way too
1:56:10 > 1:56:11high.
1:56:18 > 1:56:25Wanyama was urged to shoot by Spurs fans.
1:56:26 > 1:56:33Dele Alli has come into the game seamlessly and away he goes. Vital
1:56:33 > 1:56:37cover from Kitching and it got a deflection back of Dele Alli.
1:56:37 > 1:56:41Brilliant skill from Dele Alli but what Kitching does, his desire to
1:56:41 > 1:56:48get back, it epitomises Rochdale this afternoon. The attitude and
1:56:48 > 1:56:54application of his game. He found the energy to get back in and get
1:56:54 > 1:57:00that block. Super defending.
1:57:01 > 1:57:03that block. Super defending.McGahey is struggling a little bit. But he
1:57:03 > 1:57:09is not the player coming off, the changes in attack. Humphreys leaving
1:57:09 > 1:57:15the action. He has put in a shift and a half. Coming in is Steve
1:57:15 > 1:57:20Davies, who has been out since the end of December. More often a
1:57:20 > 1:57:25substitute than starter for Rochdale, 30 years old. He has
1:57:25 > 1:57:32played for seven clubs in his career.
1:57:33 > 1:57:38There are 15 big minutes to go and a big player about to come on for
1:57:38 > 1:57:43Tottenham. Harry Kane is stripped and ready for action.Just watch you
1:57:43 > 1:57:46need when you have cramp in the centre-half on the opposition team.
1:58:01 > 1:58:08Foyth was trying desperately to hold off Cannon. This is the Spurs
1:58:08 > 1:58:19change. Llorente is off and Harry Kane is on. Nobody needs informing
1:58:19 > 1:58:28the sort of form he is on.
1:58:28 > 1:58:37the sort of form he is on.It is the presence, he has that presence.
1:58:37 > 1:58:44Strikes fear into defenders just by being on the pitch.A free kick. For
1:58:44 > 1:58:44Spurs.
1:58:50 > 1:58:55Kane into the action at the ground upon which he made his Football
1:58:55 > 1:59:05League debut at 17, coming on for Leyton Orient. Keith Hill was the
1:59:05 > 1:59:08Rochdale manager then, also. First time round, Josh Lillis was in the
1:59:08 > 1:59:17Rochdale goal.He is good at that, Kane. Awareness of where people are
1:59:17 > 1:59:24coming at the back of him. Protecting the ball.Trippier or
1:59:24 > 1:59:36Rose?It has to be Trippier. Trippier went for goal. I think he
1:59:36 > 1:59:41tried to spare his blushes by claiming handball. Rose, very
1:59:41 > 1:59:52sharply done. And away he goes. Dele Alli trying to turn it Kane's wave.
1:59:52 > 1:59:57-- way. Dispossessed by Lamela.
1:59:57 > 2:00:02Rose.
2:00:09 > 2:00:12CHANTING
2:00:13 > 2:00:17Tottenham are urging the shots on target, showing signs of starting to
2:00:17 > 2:00:26edge the game, too.So they should be.Dele Alli. Rose for Sissoko.
2:00:26 > 2:00:31More urgency about Tottenham Hotspur as well. It will run away from
2:00:31 > 2:00:35sampling men.Much better second half, Spurs. -- from Son. There's
2:00:35 > 2:00:43been a drop from Rochdale but different tempo, attitude.
2:00:43 > 2:00:48Of course, the FA Cup fifth round comes to a conclusion tomorrow
2:00:48 > 2:00:52night. Wigan Athletic against Manchester City will
2:00:52 > 2:00:53night. Wigan Athletic against Manchester City will.
2:00:56 > 2:01:04Kick off just before 8pm.
2:01:07 > 2:01:11I was going to say, who will still be in the draw for the sixth round?
2:01:11 > 2:01:15But we've had the draw, the winners of this tie, whenever it is settled,
2:01:15 > 2:01:20going to Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea in the sixth round. At the
2:01:20 > 2:01:27moment, it doesn't look like it will be settled today.
2:01:27 > 2:01:32Lillis up, up and away. It might be the Rochdale way. It hasn't been the
2:01:32 > 2:01:41way has played all match but needs must.
2:01:41 > 2:01:44Rose is flying forward time and again and won a corner. He took too
2:01:44 > 2:01:53long, should have got in.
2:01:57 > 2:02:00Lamela.
2:02:00 > 2:02:03Lillis can't get through the crowd. WHISTLE
2:02:03 > 2:02:08It wouldn't have counted, the flag is up anyway.
2:02:08 > 2:02:14Foyth popped up at the back. But the whistle had gone.
2:02:14 > 2:02:20I think you -- it might have gone for Harry Kane holding but what a
2:02:20 > 2:02:26save from Lillis. The ball went out of play.
2:02:26 > 2:02:30Sorry to correct you. I quite enjoyed that.You're quite right.
2:02:30 > 2:02:39Rafferty off and Rathbone will come on. Started out at Manchester
2:02:39 > 2:02:44United. Blackburn born midfielder, you might be familiar with his dad,
2:02:44 > 2:02:47Mick Rathbone. Now at Forest but was at Everton as the physio for many
2:02:47 > 2:02:54years.
2:02:54 > 2:02:58It tells, doesn't it, when you are more familiar with the dads.Yes. I
2:02:58 > 2:03:04was just going to say that. I'll let you off.Chris Dunphy, the Chairman
2:03:04 > 2:03:08of Rochdale, is he starting to think at Wembley now and the replay for
2:03:08 > 2:03:14his team? -- think of Wembley.
2:03:14 > 2:03:18Can't be many other chairmen in the Football League who have a business
2:03:18 > 2:03:26that specialises in church heating systems. Christopher Dunphy
2:03:26 > 2:03:29Ecclesiastical Limited. Other church heating services may be available, I
2:03:29 > 2:03:36don't know. The last time I was at church it was cold!
2:03:40 > 2:03:45Danny Rose with the Spurs throw.
2:03:47 > 2:03:51Frantic atmosphere around now with Spurs fans desperately wanting a
2:03:51 > 2:03:54winner.Yeah, I think Pochettino will as well, the last thing he
2:03:54 > 2:03:58needs is another game. I know he has a good squad but so many big games
2:03:58 > 2:04:04coming up for them.Wanyama. Sissoko. It wouldn't run. For Dele
2:04:04 > 2:04:09Alli.
2:04:09 > 2:04:16Punted forward by Done. Vorm has to go a long way out of his area to get
2:04:16 > 2:04:19to that.
2:04:19 > 2:04:23It's never went out. That is a shame for Done, he tried to do the right
2:04:23 > 2:04:32thing and keep the ball going. Well done. Dele Alli. Son.
2:04:32 > 2:04:37Harry Kane and Lamela in the middle. Son might go his own way. He has
2:04:37 > 2:04:41seen Dele Alli. What a block! And it's off the line. It was McNulty in
2:04:41 > 2:04:45the first instance. APPLAUSE
2:04:48 > 2:04:53Matt Done was in the right place to see it bouncing. It would have been
2:04:53 > 2:04:59cruel luck.A super tackle from McNulty. Two centre halves with
2:04:59 > 2:05:03cramp now. It says a lot about what they've put into this game. They
2:05:03 > 2:05:08really have given everything for their manager.
2:05:08 > 2:05:12Well organised. Hard-working. With quality. So much to admire about
2:05:12 > 2:05:18their performance. He will be scratching his head why they don't
2:05:18 > 2:05:21play like this every week but you raise your game against bigger
2:05:21 > 2:05:24players in teams like this. They will keep raising it a few minutes
2:05:24 > 2:05:26more.
2:05:28 > 2:05:36Wanyama. We from goal. Harry Kane, too. Our other viral. -- away from
2:05:36 > 2:05:44goal. Here comes Trippier. Away by Kitching. Dele Alli gets to it. For
2:05:44 > 2:05:48once, Rochdale defender has plenty of time on the ball. Anywhere will
2:05:48 > 2:05:53do kind of clearance. It is that stage of the cup tie for Rochdale
2:05:53 > 2:05:57now. Glad he got it away, that is the most important part.To be
2:05:57 > 2:06:00honest, with seven minutes to play, you had told these Rochdale
2:06:00 > 2:06:04supporters and players that they would be in the game, they would
2:06:04 > 2:06:07have been very happy.
2:06:11 > 2:06:14Foyth.
2:06:14 > 2:06:14Other
2:06:17 > 2:06:17although they
2:06:21 > 2:06:24Son.
2:06:32 > 2:06:39Son keeps going. Trippier's ball in. Here's Danny Rose. Danny Rose has
2:06:39 > 2:06:47been extremely influential for Spurs in the second half. Dele Alli. Rose.
2:06:47 > 2:06:49Lamela.
2:06:49 > 2:06:57Rose. WHISTLE That will be a free kick, foul
2:06:57 > 2:07:02committed by Rathbone. Yellow card for Rathbone.
2:07:02 > 2:07:18Yeah. The ref's done well today.No arguments about that one.
2:07:23 > 2:07:29Lamela is having a word with trippy about who is going to put this in.
2:07:29 > 2:07:35Lillis has been solid in goal for Rochdale. -- with Trippier. Five
2:07:35 > 2:07:44minutes to go. Can Rochdale hang on for a replay? WHISTLE
2:07:44 > 2:07:51Trippier is going to leave that one to Lamela. Here's Sissoko. It was
2:07:51 > 2:07:55deflected. But it sat up nicely for Lillis and he's in a hurry to get it
2:07:55 > 2:08:00up and away.He shouldn't have been. Rose can't get to it. WHISTLE
2:08:00 > 2:08:06But there is a push. There's a from Rose afterwards. Thankfully not a
2:08:06 > 2:08:09flare-up, it looked like it might have been won.Handbags. The
2:08:09 > 2:08:15goalkeeper made a mistake. Four minutes left. Replay at Wembley on
2:08:15 > 2:08:20the cards and he missed kicks... All right, he could have played him in
2:08:20 > 2:08:23for the win but he is running back with Sissoko, one of the fastest
2:08:23 > 2:08:27players in the Premier League.
2:08:27 > 2:08:33Got a bit excited, I suppose.
2:08:33 > 2:08:42Words with Rose who did take a shower from Matt Done. That is white
2:08:42 > 2:08:45Tottenham have the free kick. Heading towards a fifth successive
2:08:45 > 2:08:49away draw, draws at Southampton, Newport, Liverpool and Juventus and
2:08:49 > 2:08:56now maybe Rochdale.
2:08:58 > 2:09:08Alderweireld. Lamela. Kane. Lamela through to Rose. He wanted it on his
2:09:08 > 2:09:14left foot. Lamela once it on his. Daily hour -- Dele Alli is in. The
2:09:14 > 2:09:21referee gives a penalty to Tottenham.It looked a pen.
2:09:24 > 2:09:35Harrison McGahey is aghast.It's a penalty.
2:09:35 > 2:09:39Fresh legs. Fresh legs of Dele Alli.
2:09:41 > 2:09:47We said about ten minutes ago, didn't we, that McGahey, we saw him
2:09:47 > 2:09:50stretchered off with cramp. He's done tremendously well, he's had a
2:09:50 > 2:09:58great game. But tired legs.Harry Kane.Guess who?On as a substitute.
2:09:58 > 2:10:03Rescued Spurs at Newport in the last round, got two against Wimbledon in
2:10:03 > 2:10:08the third round.Careful of the slip.Now a chance to get this cup
2:10:08 > 2:10:13tie won and beat Rochdale in the fifth round. WHISTLE
2:10:16 > 2:10:24Harry Kane on the spot. CHEERING Kane fires home.
2:10:24 > 2:10:29Totten, with difficulty, seem to have got the job done. Great
2:10:29 > 2:10:33penalty. -- Tottenham, with difficulty. It is Harry Kane's 34th
2:10:33 > 2:10:37goal of the season.
2:10:37 > 2:10:4349 in a single season for Spurs. Going, going away, that record. It
2:10:43 > 2:10:49looks as though the Rochdale FA Cup dream has an away, now.
2:10:49 > 2:10:57The keeper when the right way. A bit of pace in it. Right in the corner.
2:10:57 > 2:11:032-1. That's a good penalty, that is. Mr leather ball a couple of weeks
2:11:03 > 2:11:07ago, we wondered if he would go down the middle. -- missed at Liverpool.
2:11:07 > 2:11:11I am surprised he went down the left. He whipped the ball. The turf
2:11:11 > 2:11:21could come up. That man has got super confidence, hasn't he?SINGING
2:11:21 > 2:11:25The Rochdale change in the aftermath of the goal, Jim McNulty, one of the
2:11:25 > 2:11:30central defenders is off and Inman is on.Doesn't seem to matter how
2:11:30 > 2:11:35long he is on the pitch for, there's always a goal, Mr Kane.Might be a
2:11:35 > 2:11:38chance for Rochdale yet. Alderweireld is going to see that
2:11:38 > 2:11:41one out.
2:11:41 > 2:11:44We are into the last minute.
2:11:46 > 2:11:50Who is your preferred choice of Man of the Match?
2:11:50 > 2:11:57Every Rochdale player deserves credit. Camps in the middle of the
2:11:57 > 2:12:01pitch. The two labs alongside him have done tremendously well in the
2:12:01 > 2:12:07midfield but he has shown that extra quality -- two lads. He looks a
2:12:07 > 2:12:13really good talent, Camps is Man of the Match for me today.
2:12:13 > 2:12:19Here's Danny Rose.
2:12:19 > 2:12:25The ball is won might Camps, but just run away from him. -- won bike
2:12:25 > 2:12:31Camps. Another feather in the cap of 22-year-old Camps being monitored by
2:12:31 > 2:12:35many a club above Rochdale's league status. He can open you up with his
2:12:35 > 2:12:39passing and he wants to defend. He gets back in, he intercepts, he is a
2:12:39 > 2:12:45strong lad.Another one won there.
2:12:45 > 2:12:50Back with Rose.
2:12:50 > 2:12:54I do have to say, so many of the Rochdale players, you could easily
2:12:54 > 2:12:59have given Man of the Match too. So many have performed so well.
2:12:59 > 2:13:04Sissoko. Couldn't get it through to Kane. Dele Alli.
2:13:04 > 2:13:07WHISTLE
2:13:10 > 2:13:14Spurs' turn to slow things down a little bit. And make sure they
2:13:14 > 2:13:18secure safe passage through to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.
2:13:20 > 2:13:24I think it's been a fantastic game of football. Really enjoyed it. It's
2:13:24 > 2:13:30been competitive, exactly what the FA Cup is all about.WHISTLE
2:13:30 > 2:13:33Rochdale have had their afternoon in the window of the country and indeed
2:13:33 > 2:13:37right around the world and have not let themselves down one little bit.
2:13:37 > 2:13:43No way.Lovely when the chief executive, Ross Greene, said we get
2:13:43 > 2:13:47the ball on the deck, we are working man's Manchester City. LAUGHTER
2:13:47 > 2:13:53I like that.Might get a chance here. Henderson but the whistle had
2:13:53 > 2:14:01gone anyway. He slipped as he took it.
2:14:04 > 2:14:12Davies against Alderweireld and it hit the hand of Brad Inman.
2:14:12 > 2:14:15Talking about Rochdale, I think Tottenham deserves some credit.
2:14:15 > 2:14:21Change of system from the manager at half-time. Better application in the
2:14:21 > 2:14:24second half, better tempo, players showing desire and courage to get on
2:14:24 > 2:14:27the ball a little bit more. And the extra quality shone through in the
2:14:27 > 2:14:33end. Or has.Rochdale Delvin fancy these two minutes that remain might
2:14:33 > 2:14:39be enough -- still fancy. To get an equalising goal. Might as well throw
2:14:39 > 2:14:44the kitchen sink at Spurs. Won by Son. A nice touch from Spurs fans,
2:14:44 > 2:14:49they are singing the name of macer, a former midfielder who I am sure
2:14:49 > 2:14:53you heard sadly forced to retire -- Sean Mason. Ending his career at
2:14:53 > 2:15:00Hull City due to a horrendous skull injury he received.
2:15:00 > 2:15:04Sad story.
2:15:04 > 2:15:12Here's an opportunity! Would you believe it! The ball was drilled
2:15:12 > 2:15:16home by Steve Davies. Rochdale live again, the Wembley dream is alive!
2:15:16 > 2:15:21CHEERING
2:15:21 > 2:15:27Spurs thought they had in won. Rochdale lost if only! -- had it
2:15:27 > 2:15:34won. -- Rochdale thought differently bust stop unbelievable.
2:15:34 > 2:15:40They picked themselves up. Spirit, determination. Two minutes to go.
2:15:40 > 2:15:44WHISTLE
2:15:44 > 2:15:47What a good finish as well from the substitute.
2:15:50 > 2:15:56Nice and calm. Could have thrashed at it. Great finish.
2:15:56 > 2:16:00I'm kind of pleased for the whole club, they played tremendously well
2:16:00 > 2:16:08and they get a trip to Wembley. There's some joy in that!Yes.Some
2:16:08 > 2:16:13real and natural and raw emotion from Keith Hill.Like you at the pub
2:16:13 > 2:16:17on a Sunday.Steve Davies, one of football's journeyman striker is, I
2:16:17 > 2:16:24think we are allowed to call him that. It looks like all back to
2:16:24 > 2:16:28Wembley. Just when it seemed as the Rochdale were out of the cup.
2:16:28 > 2:16:30Unbelievable.
2:16:31 > 2:16:37What a story it is.Foyth.
2:16:37 > 2:16:41Lamela.
2:16:41 > 2:16:42Foyth will spread it to trivia.
2:16:45 > 2:16:54-- to Trippier. Here is Lamela. We are over the four minutes. Dele
2:16:54 > 2:16:57Alli. Son. APPLAUSE
2:16:57 > 2:17:05Son's challenge. WHISTLE A great bit of work from Rathbone.
2:17:05 > 2:17:10What a great bit of work from Rochdale. From start to finish.
2:17:12 > 2:17:17One goal lead at half-time. Back came Spurs. As we all knew that they
2:17:17 > 2:17:22would. And it seemed as though Harry Kane's late penalty had sealed their
2:17:22 > 2:17:28place in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup. Rochdale were not done. It was
2:17:28 > 2:17:32their own substitute, Steve Davies, 30 years old, seventh club in his
2:17:32 > 2:17:36career, one of those who has been around and done a little bit for
2:17:36 > 2:17:40everyone. He's done a whole lot for Rochdale now because he's taken them
2:17:40 > 2:17:44to Wembley for a prestigious fifth round replay against Tottenham
2:17:44 > 2:17:53Hotspur. Great game. Great FA Cup drama.
2:17:54 > 2:18:00STUDIO: Well, would you believe it! Just when you thought Harry Kane had
2:18:00 > 2:18:03clinched it for Tottenham from the penalty spot, back came Rochdale. A
2:18:03 > 2:18:12magnificent effort. Steve Davies with a goal. What a break for him.
2:18:12 > 2:18:15Astonishing performance, really. Hardly a chance in the second half
2:18:15 > 2:18:18for Rochdale. It looks like it was all over. But what a memorable day
2:18:18 > 2:18:24for them. They get a trip to Wembley! It's just an incredible
2:18:24 > 2:18:27game of football. Rochdale, I thought, thoroughly deserved to be
2:18:27 > 2:18:31in front at half-time. Tottenham dominated the second half, really.
2:18:31 > 2:18:36Change of system a bit. On the front foot, passing forward a bit more,
2:18:36 > 2:18:40quicker, sharper, had to bring some of the big boys on to change the
2:18:40 > 2:18:45game. And we thought that was it. But great credit to Rochdale for
2:18:45 > 2:18:48that attitude and coming back and having a crack to play at Wembley.
2:18:48 > 2:18:53We will come to Jermaine in a second but first we get here from one of
2:18:53 > 2:18:57the Rochdale heroes, he scored the first goal. Ian Henderson is with
2:18:57 > 2:18:59us.
2:18:59 > 2:19:01first goal. Ian Henderson is with us.What late drama. What a time to
2:19:01 > 2:19:05score, right at the end to take Tottenham to a replay at Wembley.
2:19:05 > 2:19:09It's unbelievable. We went 1-0 up and we played some unbelievable
2:19:09 > 2:19:15football today against an incredible team in Spurs. To get a draw at the
2:19:15 > 2:19:19end of the day against a Premier League club, you know, you can hear
2:19:19 > 2:19:23the fans, what it means to them and the players. The Management, the
2:19:23 > 2:19:27board of directors. We cannot wait to go to Wembley to play them. When
2:19:27 > 2:19:31you saw Harry Kane's penalty go in, did you feel that was it for you?
2:19:31 > 2:19:34No, I didn't. I knew we would always have an opportunity. There's always
2:19:34 > 2:19:39a chance when the ball comes into the box. Especially Stevo, he's an
2:19:39 > 2:19:45unbelievable finisher. We deserved that today. We were astounded by the
2:19:45 > 2:19:49efforts put in at both ends of the team today. How come you are bottom
2:19:49 > 2:19:54of League 1?If I knew the answer to that, you know, we wouldn't be in
2:19:54 > 2:19:59that position. We have been joined by Steve Davies, scorer be dramatic
2:19:59 > 2:20:04last-minute goal, house we did that feel? It's brilliant.-- how did
2:20:04 > 2:20:08that feel.I have been injured for the last seven weeks and I found it
2:20:08 > 2:20:11tough to get back into the team. Fortunately, Calvin missed out and
2:20:11 > 2:20:16he has been brilliant. I did my job, dropped to me and I finished it.Ian
2:20:16 > 2:20:20said it was never in doubt, that you would still take it to a replay
2:20:20 > 2:20:24right until the end, did you have that faith as well? When you look at
2:20:24 > 2:20:29it, look at how special this day is. You look around, it was written,
2:20:29 > 2:20:34won't it? I thought we did enough to win it. They brought on the big
2:20:34 > 2:20:36sellers, we were hanging in there but we've got great team spirit. We
2:20:36 > 2:20:42will never give up -- big fellas. Going to Wembley with new
2:20:42 > 2:20:45confidence?Of course. I have always dreamt of playing at Wembley and now
2:20:45 > 2:20:52I can say I have played there if I am fit and picked. It is every kid's
2:20:52 > 2:20:56dream. Will we be lucky enough to go there? Hopefully we will put in a
2:20:56 > 2:20:59good performance and do ourselves proud. You helped to serve up
2:20:59 > 2:21:05terrific drama, well done.Thank you.Thank you.I would love to ask
2:21:05 > 2:21:09my question, would you prefer a draw to win the game? The chance to play
2:21:09 > 2:21:12at Wembley is fairly unique. Different asking you because you
2:21:12 > 2:21:16both played on numerous occasions. For those guys and Rochdale, chance
2:21:16 > 2:21:22in a lifetime. It's an incredible story for them, for the Chairman,
2:21:22 > 2:21:26the manager. You can see the delight on his face. And for the fans here
2:21:26 > 2:21:29who have rammed this place and made it a brilliant atmosphere. They
2:21:29 > 2:21:34deserved it because of all of that. It was magnificent. They went right
2:21:34 > 2:21:36until the end. That goal at the end
2:21:36 > 2:21:36It was magnificent. They went right until the end. That goal at the end
2:21:36 > 2:21:39from Steve Davies, let's have a look at it again. What a moment for the
2:21:39 > 2:21:47crowd.We spoke about them having to be positive and braid. At 2-1 down,
2:21:47 > 2:21:50they had a real belief in themselves. -- positive and brave.
2:21:50 > 2:21:53Davies moving to the box. It is all about the touch and finish. He does
2:21:53 > 2:21:58it so quick. Buying into the bottom corner. So precise. When you come
2:21:58 > 2:22:02off the bench and do have that sharpness about you is brilliant.
2:22:02 > 2:22:06His experience. The celebrations from Keith Hill. In the scheme of
2:22:06 > 2:22:10things, over the course of the whole game, they deserved this replay.
2:22:10 > 2:22:14It's not quite Spurs' moment but this is the last thing they wanted,
2:22:14 > 2:22:18a replay. We said before the game, Gary, it happened in the round
2:22:18 > 2:22:21before against Newport. When you leave players out. You don't want
2:22:21 > 2:22:27another game. Play your big players to get two or three in front and
2:22:27 > 2:22:31then take them off. It's the worst thing in the world for them, another
2:22:31 > 2:22:35game which they didn't want.It did look like it was going to go all the
2:22:35 > 2:22:40way. First things first, Tottenham got themselves back in the game and
2:22:40 > 2:22:46then went 2-1 ahead with the penalty decision.I have to say it was a
2:22:46 > 2:22:51clear penalty. Danny Rose did well breaking from left-back but when it
2:22:51 > 2:23:00came through the Dele he just reacts quicker, that's all. Bobby
2:23:00 > 2:23:02quicker, that's all. Bobby Madeley is in a good position.He was
2:23:02 > 2:23:07accused of diving. There is contact between his left knee and his right
2:23:07 > 2:23:10knee. I don't think any of us doubted that it was the right
2:23:10 > 2:23:13decision. But the pressure in the latter stage of this game to whip it
2:23:13 > 2:23:17in the bottom corner was unbelievable.Brilliant. Pick your
2:23:17 > 2:23:20spot and to be as accurate as that at such an important time, very
2:23:20 > 2:23:24good.Definitely thought that was in. You couldn't see them coming
2:23:24 > 2:23:31back.They all thought, we thought, no replay. But what a game. I got a
2:23:31 > 2:23:35message saying what are you doing, working on your birthday but what an
2:23:35 > 2:23:39unbelievable game of football. What are Rochdale doing where they are?
2:23:39 > 2:23:44They just needed a good pitch! This is a team distant at the bottom of
2:23:44 > 2:23:49League 1. Some of the stuff they played today, particularly in the
2:23:49 > 2:23:53first half was incredible. Their work rate, their aggression, the way
2:23:53 > 2:23:56they closed down Tottenham that didn't allow them to play in the
2:23:56 > 2:23:59first half. More impressive than anything is the way they passed the
2:23:59 > 2:24:03ball. They said to Spurs, we will try to take you on our own game,
2:24:03 > 2:24:06which is why they had been pitched done before this game. What kind of
2:24:06 > 2:24:10effort does it take for a club at that level against a team like Spurs
2:24:10 > 2:24:15to keep it going all that time? It's more to do with their beliefs. It's
2:24:15 > 2:24:19easy with a big team coming to town for them to not believe in
2:24:19 > 2:24:23themselves, get overawed by the occasion. This place was rocking.
2:24:23 > 2:24:28Every single player stepped up. The midfield was sensational. Camps God
2:24:28 > 2:24:35Man of the Match in midfield, good decision. -- got Man of the Match.
2:24:35 > 2:24:39Terrific finish. He was one of their best players in the first half. He
2:24:39 > 2:24:44was the one that was showing a willingness to use his pace. To get
2:24:44 > 2:24:49in behind. He passes it, he follows it. You can see such a huge gap in
2:24:49 > 2:24:52between full-back and centre-half and it's a hell of a finish. Really,
2:24:52 > 2:24:58really good finish.He was impressive today.Good finish.
2:24:58 > 2:25:02One-on-one. Just has enough guile to lift it over the goalkeeper. Very
2:25:02 > 2:25:05clever.
2:25:05 > 2:25:12Well done.Cheers. We have a special guest in the studio, Keith Hill has
2:25:12 > 2:25:14joined us. Many, many congratulations, what a fabulous
2:25:14 > 2:25:15joined us. Many, many congratulations, what a fabulous
2:25:15 > 2:25:19effort from your team.I agree. We played quite well. It was a
2:25:19 > 2:25:26difficult fixture. We set off the bomb by going 1-0 up. But we hung in
2:25:26 > 2:25:32there, second-half. I always thought we could get overawed in the second
2:25:32 > 2:25:36half and we did to a certain degree but it was just rewards when we got
2:25:36 > 2:25:39the second goal.Describe your emotions when it hit the net.I
2:25:39 > 2:25:42can't, to be honest. I might be able to win a couple of days.We won't be
2:25:42 > 2:25:47here in a couple of days!It was special. We said that at half-time
2:25:47 > 2:25:50about the goal lead the way the players celebrated, how special it
2:25:50 > 2:25:58was for that group of players. We tried to press the opposition. We
2:25:58 > 2:26:01tried to attack. We didn't want to sit back and roll over. Really
2:26:01 > 2:26:04pleased with the performance and ultimately the result.Manager 500
2:26:04 > 2:26:07games, 150 games as a player, has there ever been a moment like that?
2:26:07 > 2:26:11No. We have had promotion twice which was special but to play
2:26:11 > 2:26:15against a team Tottenham and try to take them on... We took them on but
2:26:15 > 2:26:18we could have been beaten and that was the sacrifice I was willing to
2:26:18 > 2:26:24make. We had to do it our way and we did.Are you happy with the draw?
2:26:24 > 2:26:26Not a victory in a sense that for some of the players, the chance to
2:26:26 > 2:26:29play at Wembley, which wouldn't have happened otherwise unless you go to
2:26:29 > 2:26:34the semifinal.Yes. Reward for the players and their efforts. I think
2:26:34 > 2:26:36they would have been really disappointed not to get anything
2:26:36 > 2:26:40from this game. We have got that little bit of momentum, I suppose,
2:26:40 > 2:26:44that bit of a booster. The players will look forward to it as well as
2:26:44 > 2:26:48the supporters. Is that as good as you have played in that first half?
2:26:48 > 2:26:52Magnificent performance, the way you took the game to Tottenham. We try
2:26:52 > 2:26:58and play like that but we are a bit green. We make silly mistakes.
2:26:58 > 2:27:02You're right about the full-back, analysing the first goal. Some of
2:27:02 > 2:27:05the performances have been similar. But, I agree with you, not as good
2:27:05 > 2:27:12as that. You raised your game on the day. Milton Keynes on Wednesday, I
2:27:12 > 2:27:16hate to remind you! LAUGHTER Exactly. That's the bread and
2:27:16 > 2:27:19butter. Today, the players have got to celebrate that with their
2:27:19 > 2:27:22families and enjoy the next couple of days but we've really got to
2:27:22 > 2:27:25switch onto the league campaign.At half-time, what was the message?
2:27:25 > 2:27:29There was a worry you would have dropped off and tried to protect
2:27:29 > 2:27:34that one goal lead.We can only protect with attacking and pressing.
2:27:34 > 2:27:37Yeah.I can't change that mentality from the players but the half-time
2:27:37 > 2:27:41message was that you are going to get tested like you've never been
2:27:41 > 2:27:44tested before. 1-0 up against Tottenham, they are going to bring
2:27:44 > 2:27:47on the big guns, they will have more of the ball because we are
2:27:47 > 2:27:47on the big guns, they will have more of the ball because we are tired.
2:27:47 > 2:27:52But we dealt with it. The two goals were disappointing.DRS
2:27:52 > 2:27:56. I do not know whether you have seen it.When this drops to Steve
2:27:56 > 2:28:00Davies, he's going to score.
2:28:01 > 2:28:04He's absolutely superb fishing, no question. He's played in the Premier
2:28:04 > 2:28:06League, finished goals in the Premier League but that was
2:28:06 > 2:28:11incredible.There's your reaction. Get in!I am normally like that on a
2:28:11 > 2:28:12Sunday
2:28:12 > 2:28:14Get in!I am normally like that on a Sunday afternoon in the pub.
2:28:14 > 2:28:17Congratulations. Good luck in the replay at Wembley. Enjoy your night
2:28:17 > 2:28:22out. We're out of time. What a game we have had. Rochdale gets to do it
2:28:22 > 2:28:26all again at Wembley, the talk ahead of the game was all about the pitch.
2:28:26 > 2:28:34But we leave you with some fields, local girl Gracie.
2:28:34 > 2:28:41Derik in my hometown everyone is
2:28:41 > 2:28:49# Football, football # You hear them calling, have you
2:28:49 > 2:28:55scored?
2:28:55 > 2:29:07# You hear the voices calling # Shrieking
2:29:07 > 2:29:14# You hear the voices calling, have you scored?
