:00:40. > :00:46.What a 24 hours it has been in the Football League, with a frantic end

:00:47. > :00:50.to the transfer window, followed by the shock news of Brian Little

:00:51. > :00:57.Dummett's reported sacking by Leeds United. More on that later. Earlier

:00:58. > :01:02.in the week, Chris Wilder swapped life at Oxford for Football League

:01:03. > :01:05.survival at Northampton. From the Cobblers to the straight talking

:01:06. > :01:12.Leroy, who is with me tonight, and here is a taster of what is coming

:01:13. > :01:14.up. QPR up the pressure on Leicester with their fourth consecutive win

:01:15. > :01:22.against Bolton on Tuesday. Next for Harry Redknapp's boys, the visit of

:01:23. > :01:25.Burnley. We have got the best of the action from the other end of the

:01:26. > :01:36.table, as Sheffield Wednesday took on Barnsley in a South Yorkshire

:01:37. > :01:40.derby. In League One, a world away from their days in exile in

:01:41. > :01:45.Sheffield, we will be with Rotherham united, as they test their hopes of

:01:46. > :01:52.a second successive promotion against Leyton Orient. And as ever,

:01:53. > :01:59.there are some spec tequila goals for you to enjoy. The Championship

:02:00. > :02:05.promotion race is warming up quite nicely. -- spectacular. On Friday

:02:06. > :02:13.night, Nottingham Forest came from behind to beat Watford. So, how

:02:14. > :02:19.would their promotion rivals respond today? We start at Loftus Road, as

:02:20. > :02:20.QPR went in search of a fifth consecutive win, this time at home

:02:21. > :02:34.to Burnley. QPR, the preseason favourites,

:02:35. > :02:38.taking on Burnley, who are refusing to let go in the race to reach the

:02:39. > :02:43.Premier League. It is a full house at Loftus Road. It could be a

:02:44. > :02:52.cracker. Let's check on the two teams. Six players signed by QPR in

:02:53. > :03:04.the last week, just one of them starting today, Kevin Doyle, on loan

:03:05. > :03:07.from Wolves. Burnley's squad is small and compact. This is the same

:03:08. > :03:15.team which drew with Brighton on Tuesday.

:03:16. > :03:22.Danny Ings and Sam Vokes have got 28 of their 39 goals this season. Niko

:03:23. > :03:31.Kranjcar takes the corner. Turned over by Heaton. Good goalkeeping

:03:32. > :03:36.from Tom Heaton, that is a clever header and a fine save. Niko

:03:37. > :03:43.Kranjcar once again with the dead ball delivery. QPR live free. --

:03:44. > :03:51.lively. And this time it is in. Kevin Doyle, with a debut goal! They

:03:52. > :03:55.had a warning from the first corner. Again, it came into the near

:03:56. > :04:06.post. It was glanced in by Kevin Doyle. A great start for him.

:04:07. > :04:17.Kevin Doyle, busy and bustling. Kevin Doyle! After 11 minutes, he

:04:18. > :04:23.looks a cracking signing. Full of energy and endeavour. Charlie Austin

:04:24. > :04:27.watching on, injured with that shoulder complaint, cannot face his

:04:28. > :04:38.former club here this afternoon. The ball in from Trippier, great

:04:39. > :04:48.effort! Danny Ings for Burnley again! What a season he is having.

:04:49. > :04:59.17 league goals now for him. And that was some finish. That is going

:05:00. > :05:09.to be a free kick going the way of Joey Barton. It comes in from Joey

:05:10. > :05:23.Barton, it has come an awful long way, and out for a corner.

:05:24. > :05:31.Taken by crunch are, once again to the near post. What a finish from

:05:32. > :05:43.Richard Dunne! -- taken by Niko Kranjcar. That is his first QPR

:05:44. > :05:46.goal, and one he will never forget. It was a Charlie Austin style volley

:05:47. > :05:58.from the centre half. Try Ouray in full flow, menacing

:05:59. > :06:23.stuff. Michael Kightly, great all in, and

:06:24. > :06:31.Sam Vokes has scored! The Clarets have levelled again. It is the

:06:32. > :06:39.deadly duo, first Danny Ings, now Sam Vokes. Between them, they have

:06:40. > :06:55.now got 13 league goals this season out of 41. -- 30.

:06:56. > :07:09.Trippier takes the quick throw. Arfield... It was pulled back for

:07:10. > :07:20.Danny Ings, but for once, he got beneath it.

:07:21. > :07:37.Now it is Burnley's turn to try to shape the game. Danny Ings has got

:07:38. > :07:43.in behind Assou-Ekotto. Vokes! The double act have combined again. Sam

:07:44. > :07:48.Vokes having his most prolific league season ever. 14 now for the

:07:49. > :07:56.campaign. Assou-Ekotto was far too casual. And for the first time this

:07:57. > :08:08.afternoon, Burnley are leading. Here comes that change. Coming on for his

:08:09. > :08:11.debut, having signed right on the deadline last night, it is Maiga,

:08:12. > :08:19.signed on loan from West Ham United. Can he get a goal on debut, like

:08:20. > :08:41.Kevin Doyle did? Sam Vokes, and the flag stays down.

:08:42. > :08:49.Danny Ings... It is a super run, but not quite. He saw the top corner

:08:50. > :08:56.begging for him to find it, and he couldn't, but he was mighty close.

:08:57. > :09:04.David Jones has been a steady presence in midfield for the Clarets

:09:05. > :09:12.today. Joey Barton with a lovely ball out to junior toilet.

:09:13. > :09:29.-- Junior Hoilett. Modibo Maiga, on his debut! It was toilet with the

:09:30. > :09:35.presence of mind to get the ball in.

:09:36. > :09:55.This really has been a cracking contest in the Championship. QPR

:09:56. > :09:59.have not scored four goals in a game all season. They will need to now,

:10:00. > :10:13.to win this one. Lovely play by Niko Kranjcar. Niko Kranjcar pulls it

:10:14. > :10:27.back for Joey Barton. Assou-Ekotto. Clever play, once again it goes out

:10:28. > :10:34.to Hoilett on the wing. Sam Vokes, fouled by Dunne.

:10:35. > :10:41.Is there to be one more twist in a remarkable match? Angelo Balanta,

:10:42. > :10:55.and now, Trippier. Stanislas! My word, what an effort.

:10:56. > :11:02.Assou-Ekotto, not for the first time, was dispossessed. He has had

:11:03. > :11:10.his pocket picked. And Stanislas was very close to getting a dramatic

:11:11. > :11:13.winner for Burnley. I am very happy with the performance, that is for

:11:14. > :11:18.sure. A couple of details with in it which cost us dearly, but generally

:11:19. > :11:21.speaking, it is what we have come to expect from our group, with the good

:11:22. > :11:25.work we do on the training pitch, together with the staff. The

:11:26. > :11:29.framework and organisation but also good quality. Some of our moves, the

:11:30. > :11:38.second goal was a terrific move, shifting the ball quickly, and a

:11:39. > :11:41.great finish. Lots of positives. Are you able to give Queens Park Rangers

:11:42. > :11:46.supporters any indication of how long Charlie Austin will be out for?

:11:47. > :11:49.Are we talking two months which Mark I think it will probably be the

:11:50. > :11:56.season, I would imagine. We will be lucky if we see him this season. How

:11:57. > :12:01.big a blow is that? Massive. He is an outstanding player for us. He was

:12:02. > :12:05.our main man, scoring goals for us. But Andy Johnson worked hard today.

:12:06. > :12:12.We have got Kevin Doyle, and Maiga came on a and Bobby is fit. We will

:12:13. > :12:17.get on with it. Yes, a big blow for Harry, but almost overnight, he has

:12:18. > :12:21.got an embarrassment of riches, almost, in terms of strikers. As for

:12:22. > :12:27.the game itself, it was a fantastic name. Fascinating, with two teams on

:12:28. > :12:32.opposing ends of the financial spectrum, but giving us a classic. I

:12:33. > :12:36.really enjoyed the game. I thought QPR started the game really well.

:12:37. > :12:40.They edged it in the first half, but Burnley came out and dominated in

:12:41. > :12:44.the second half. When they got their noses in front, I thought they would

:12:45. > :12:49.win it, but then Harry introduced Maiga to get the equaliser. I think

:12:50. > :12:55.Burnley might be slightly more disappointed. Harry touched on it,

:12:56. > :13:01.they have almost been overreliant on the goals from Charlie Austin. It is

:13:02. > :13:05.a huge blow for them. But he has shown once again his canny touch in

:13:06. > :13:10.the transfer market. Absolutely. Kevin Doyle has got a good pedigree.

:13:11. > :13:15.It has not quite worked out for him at Wolves. But him on loan. Great

:13:16. > :13:21.delivery from Niko Kranjcar as well. That is a difficult one to defend

:13:22. > :13:26.against. You have to give that to the attacking side. Hoilett also

:13:27. > :13:32.came on as a substitute, and was really effective down this right

:13:33. > :13:39.hand side. I think Harry will be pleased. Charlie Austin, 15 goals in

:13:40. > :13:43.all competition is, it is going to be hard to replace him with one

:13:44. > :13:48.player, so Harry might have gone a bit over the top with four! There

:13:49. > :13:53.are two more who did not take part today, but he wants options, and he

:13:54. > :13:57.has got that. And credit to Burnley, they have become the first

:13:58. > :13:58.team to score more than one goal at Loftus Road, with two players who

:13:59. > :14:12.are in great form. I don't think you can blame the

:14:13. > :14:17.defence. This was an excellent move, the switch of play and to the left

:14:18. > :14:26.side and some folks gets across his mind and gets the first touch. The

:14:27. > :14:34.typical training goal -- sam you can't blame the defence much. In

:14:35. > :14:37.possession you some great movement for the second goal and out of

:14:38. > :14:41.possession, they chased everything down and made it difficult for their

:14:42. > :14:47.opponents. Is real energy about them. Is the Vokes and Ings

:14:48. > :14:50.partnership good enough to take them up?

:14:51. > :14:53.I think so, if you look at their dealings in the transfer window,

:14:54. > :14:56.Sean Dyche will be delighted they are still there. There are

:14:57. > :15:00.definitely the best partnership in the Championship.

:15:01. > :15:05.After all of their recent troubles, if you thought you had seen it all

:15:06. > :15:09.at Leeds, think again. The club has been thrown into turmoil in the last

:15:10. > :15:14.24 hours, the confusion surrounding the club's ownership and Brian

:15:15. > :15:17.McDermott's position as manager. Hardly the perfect backdrop for the

:15:18. > :15:23.visit of Huddersfield. Also you'd think.

:15:24. > :15:28.McDermott had been told to stay away, despite being advised his

:15:29. > :15:32.sacking on Friday wasn't authorised. So his assistants Nigel Gibbs took

:15:33. > :15:38.charge and the fans continued their protests against Massimo Cellino.

:15:39. > :15:41.Also on the basis of this result, maybe the powers that be will be

:15:42. > :15:47.tempted to have people before every game. Things didn't start too well.

:15:48. > :15:50.Oliver Norwood inches away from putting Huddersfield ahead before

:15:51. > :15:56.Danny Ward did give them the lead. He scored for the Terriers when they

:15:57. > :16:00.beat Leeds earlier in the season, but this was as good as it got this

:16:01. > :16:04.time around. On the stroke of half-time, the Championship's top

:16:05. > :16:08.scorer came up with the goods for Leeds once again. Ross McCormack

:16:09. > :16:12.showing the predatory instinct that made him the subject of plenty of

:16:13. > :16:19.Premier League interest during the transform window. -- transfer

:16:20. > :16:23.window. He turned provider after the break to teacup Jimmy Kebe for his

:16:24. > :16:29.first goal since arriving on loan from Crystal Palace. The crowd

:16:30. > :16:33.showing who they wanted to be in charge. MacCormack took centre

:16:34. > :16:39.stage, scoring twice more in the space of 11 minutes. -- Ross

:16:40. > :16:45.McCormack. Then he made it 16 goals in his last 15 appearances when he

:16:46. > :16:51.buried Cameron Stewart's cross. Leeds had only managed five goals in

:16:52. > :16:56.their last eight matches but they equalled that inside the last ten

:16:57. > :16:59.minutes. It was a special moment for 18-year-old Alex Mowatt as he scored

:17:00. > :17:05.his first goal for the senior club -- senior goal for the club. A day

:17:06. > :17:08.that ended in celebration but with plenty of questions still to be

:17:09. > :17:12.answered. Yesterday wasn't nice, what was happening at the club, but

:17:13. > :17:16.the most important thing is what happens on the pitch. We had a chat

:17:17. > :17:19.before the game, we rallied the troops and we knew the most

:17:20. > :17:23.important thing was the three points and we showed good character from

:17:24. > :17:26.1-0 down. We could have folded, everything was against us but we

:17:27. > :17:31.came back and scored five great goals. It is a shame Brian wasn't

:17:32. > :17:36.here to witness that, if his team. They followed his instructions to

:17:37. > :17:42.the tee and it was a fantastic victory. I am led to believe he will

:17:43. > :17:45.be back in the club on Monday as manager and he will be welcomed back

:17:46. > :17:52.by me and the squad. So after 24 hours of mayhem and

:17:53. > :17:57.confusion, it is as you were. But is it? Of course it isn't. Brian was

:17:58. > :18:01.supposedly sacked by a lawyer acting for the potential owners and as we

:18:02. > :18:06.saw on the clip, it wasn't authorised. What it has done in a

:18:07. > :18:08.funny way is unite everybody at the club and give everybody and

:18:09. > :18:12.understanding about what they feel about the job Brian McDermott is

:18:13. > :18:20.doing. Leeds were going through a very sickly patch -- sticky patch.

:18:21. > :18:23.Ross McCormack said when he thought Brian McDermott had gone that he was

:18:24. > :18:30.gutted and you don't often hear that, you hear about players being

:18:31. > :18:33.mercenaries and only worrying about their wage packets, but there is a

:18:34. > :18:38.real belief that Brian was doing a great job at the club and he didn't

:18:39. > :18:42.want to take the moves is offered to him to go to the Premier League. So

:18:43. > :18:47.I think it has strengthened the resolve at Leeds United and it could

:18:48. > :18:52.turn out to be good. You had to give Ross McCormack credit, not only for

:18:53. > :18:56.the hat-trick but he by quoting -- he spoke of an interview and has

:18:57. > :19:00.become a real leader in the dressing room but what a PR disaster for any

:19:01. > :19:04.owner wanting to come into a new club, not just a club with history

:19:05. > :19:12.lightly generative. All of these reports about Gianluca Festa being

:19:13. > :19:16.asked to sit on the bench midweek, being refused because it would

:19:17. > :19:21.undermine Brian McDermott. All of these reports do not ingratiate the

:19:22. > :19:24.new owners to the fans. Of course it doesn't and owners need to do their

:19:25. > :19:29.homework on the managers who are in charge at the time. Some owners by a

:19:30. > :19:35.club, bring their own people in, they say, " You are no good" but

:19:36. > :19:41.they need to find out about who the manager is, that is Brian McDermott.

:19:42. > :19:44.He came from a Premier League job, he was so excited to get the Leeds

:19:45. > :19:48.job because he considered potential and the players can see the

:19:49. > :19:53.potential in him and the owner should recognise that and move

:19:54. > :19:58.forward with him as manager. After seeing that, I think Leeds are on

:19:59. > :20:00.the right track. So Brian is due to report to the training ground on

:20:01. > :20:04.Monday, should be interesting. There is no stopping the league

:20:05. > :20:10.leaders Leicester at the moment. They notched an eight successive

:20:11. > :20:13.league victory against Birmingham in midweek. Could they extend their

:20:14. > :20:18.lead at the top with a ninth win at Bournemouth?

:20:19. > :20:22.Leicester's manager revealed this weekend that he once had to fight

:20:23. > :20:26.off a pack of wild dogs in Romania. Strange, but true. At least at this

:20:27. > :20:32.rate there will be no one snapping at Nigel Pearson's heels in the

:20:33. > :20:35.running. Bournemouth's star performer was Lee camp, keeping

:20:36. > :20:40.Jamie Vardy off the scoresheet. They were rarely able to trouble his

:20:41. > :20:46.counterpart Kasper Schmeichel. Even lose grab them off target. The tide

:20:47. > :20:55.was predominantly against the home club. League Cup's refusal to be

:20:56. > :20:58.beaten was becoming a worry for the table toppers. Anthony knockout

:20:59. > :21:07.thwarted. The goalkeeper will think he wasn't beaten -- knockout. The

:21:08. > :21:10.linesman intervened for the victory. Kevin Phillips was convinced the

:21:11. > :21:15.ball had crossed the line, as you would expect. The evergreen

:21:16. > :21:19.40-year-old becoming the club's oldest ever scorer as the lead went

:21:20. > :21:23.into double figures. It is satisfying to extend their winning

:21:24. > :21:29.run. It is a shame, I suppose, that the game has been settled with a

:21:30. > :21:32.goal which has a bit of controversy surrounding it, I suppose, but our

:21:33. > :21:38.players were convinced it was a goal. And I think we deserved to win

:21:39. > :21:41.the game. Having acquired three Manchester

:21:42. > :21:45.United players on deadline day, Lee Clark says he is delighted with

:21:46. > :21:50.Birmingham's transfer business. He might have been having second

:21:51. > :21:52.thoughts when one of them gave Derby a first-half penalty. The teenager

:21:53. > :22:00.bringing down we'll fuse. Fortunately for him, Randolph saved

:22:01. > :22:05.Craig Bryson's spot kick. The second half began with another January

:22:06. > :22:09.signing Kevin lose the lead. Free agent Brian Howard was snapped up a

:22:10. > :22:13.couple of weeks ago. A spell in Bulgaria didn't go as the midfielder

:22:14. > :22:17.had hoped. His celebration showed relief at another crack at the

:22:18. > :22:24.Championship. The lead lasted less than a minute. The 21 goals this

:22:25. > :22:27.season for Derby's Patrick Bamford mean he's tied to miss chances,

:22:28. > :22:33.certainly when he has two opportunities to put them away. That

:22:34. > :22:38.began a 25 minute spell when Derby appeared to take the game away from

:22:39. > :22:45.their hosts. A freak goal edged them ahead just before the hour. Chris

:22:46. > :22:49.Martin's shop looping in thanks to a deflection from his own team-mate --

:22:50. > :22:54.shot. Still on the fringes of the relegation battle, Birmingham's new

:22:55. > :22:57.signings need to gel quickly. The back four looks like perfect

:22:58. > :23:08.strangers as Craig Forsythe made it 3-1. With only seven minutes ago --

:23:09. > :23:14.to go, it looked bad for Lee Clark's site. Steve McLaren was left

:23:15. > :23:19.ringgit, Chris Bertram giving Birmingham hope, before another

:23:20. > :23:24.deadline day signing had his say. Federico Macheda, another buy from

:23:25. > :23:27.the Red Devils, struck in injury time and Birmingham salvaged a

:23:28. > :23:33.draw, their sixth in nine winless home matches.

:23:34. > :23:38.The passion and the driver and the desire to come back into the game

:23:39. > :23:41.was there for all to see, and you saw the reaction from the supporters

:23:42. > :23:45.at the end, they are with the players so much, they are desperate

:23:46. > :23:50.for them to do well, and they are backing the young players every step

:23:51. > :23:54.of the way. We can only blame ourselves, in a game where we have

:23:55. > :24:03.had 20 opportunities, they have had three shots and it is 3-3.

:24:04. > :24:08.Millwall's third home fixture in a row, and they were beginning to find

:24:09. > :24:12.some form at the new Den. The visitors, free scoring Reading,

:24:13. > :24:16.would always test them, and so it proved. Stephen Bywater in the

:24:17. > :24:21.Millwall goal was at fault for the breakthrough. He didn't deal with a

:24:22. > :24:27.lofted ball and Pavel Pogrebnyak took full advantage. Ian Holloway's

:24:28. > :24:30.teams always play with an attacking spirit, but the Lions were

:24:31. > :24:36.struggling to match their opponents. Liam Feeney wasting one of their

:24:37. > :24:41.better opportunities. Reading had put seven past Bolton, five past

:24:42. > :24:45.Blackpool and added to their tally. Stephen Bywater with a terrific stop

:24:46. > :24:51.from Pogrebnyak, but Alex Pearce put away the rebound. Just minutes

:24:52. > :24:57.later, Danny Williams claimed his first goal for Reading to complete

:24:58. > :25:02.the scoring. Millwall remained just outside the relegation places, but

:25:03. > :25:08.for the Royals, it is now four wins in five and all of the signs are

:25:09. > :25:13.encouraging. A real, good, hard-working performance from the

:25:14. > :25:19.players yet again. Consistency in team selection, consistency of

:25:20. > :25:23.performance and togetherness, goals through the team, and everyone is

:25:24. > :25:27.enjoying it. Dougie Freedman has been bemoaning

:25:28. > :25:31.Bolton's bad luck at the moment but he couldn't blame ill fortune for

:25:32. > :25:37.their failure to take an early lead at which ship. The ball to Lucas

:25:38. > :25:38.Djokovic fell kindly to Mark Davis but he couldn't convert either of

:25:39. > :25:50.his fights at the cherry -- Leuchars this winter Ipswich gives them one

:25:51. > :25:55.place away from the play-off spots. Frank Nouble wasn't far from giving

:25:56. > :25:59.them the lead in the first half. Mick McCarthy said he was happy to

:26:00. > :26:04.keep hold of Erin Cresswell and David McGoldrick up the Premier

:26:05. > :26:13.League interest in the pair and after Cresswell's long-range effort

:26:14. > :26:16.was tipped over, McGoldrick was brought down by the goalkeeper in a

:26:17. > :26:22.challenge Dougie Freedman called a Rush of blood to the head.

:26:23. > :26:26.Ipswich's top scorer kept pickle head to convert from the spot and

:26:27. > :26:30.like his 15th goal of the campaign -- kept a cool head.

:26:31. > :26:36.Making his boss a happy man in the process. Nick, you are right in the

:26:37. > :26:42.play-off picture. If you keep on winning at home and drawing away,

:26:43. > :26:44.that is what you want -- make. I couldn't agree more, I don't know

:26:45. > :26:50.what you want to say to that. Absolutely.

:26:51. > :26:54.Mick McCarthy, as concise as ever. It is pinch yourself time for

:26:55. > :26:58.Leicester fans, nine consecutive wins, going from strength to

:26:59. > :27:01.strength at the right time. Compare their standing from this time last

:27:02. > :27:07.season, they are two points shy of last season's tally with 17 left to

:27:08. > :27:10.play. It is a change of environment. Everyone knows the budget was cut

:27:11. > :27:14.from Nigel at the start of the season and last season, it seemed to

:27:15. > :27:18.be if we have a problem, we will buy a player. Now he has a group of

:27:19. > :27:21.players he is working with and they are progressing, there is a great

:27:22. > :27:25.spirit there. They are a talented bunch and he's getting the best out

:27:26. > :27:29.of them, that is testament to him and his staff. We will not talk

:27:30. > :27:33.about Kevin Phillips's age, he is probably as sick as we are talking

:27:34. > :27:39.about it, but he has been brought in when he doesn't even need strikers.

:27:40. > :27:45.Was it a goal? Well, it was given, but was it over the line? It is such

:27:46. > :27:48.a poor angle, it is hard to tell. Bournemouth will be felling hard

:27:49. > :27:54.done by what I would do the same if I was Kevin, putting pressure on the

:27:55. > :27:56.referee. We saw Birmingham get into injury time before they could dish

:27:57. > :28:03.out the leveller against Derby County. They had lost three going

:28:04. > :28:08.into this. He has had such a tough time, Lee Clark, considering the

:28:09. > :28:13.lack of leadership in the boardroom and six of his 1122. Yes, and a big

:28:14. > :28:19.turnover of players. A lot of his experience, he moved them out,

:28:20. > :28:24.Ambrose, Mullins and Wade Elliott. Six of his players are under 22 but

:28:25. > :28:28.they are putting in a shift for him. They have a poor home record, so to

:28:29. > :28:31.go out against the good Derby County side and get that result will

:28:32. > :28:34.certainly give them a lift. McCague was signed yesterday, that is a good

:28:35. > :28:41.way to start for any striker. -- Federico Macheda. And the sooner the

:28:42. > :28:44.ownership issues are sold, the better. The dogfight at the other

:28:45. > :28:48.end now and what a difference Stuart Gray has made at Sheffield

:28:49. > :28:51.Wednesday. Under the new head coach, whence they are unbeaten in

:28:52. > :28:55.six, lifting them out of the relegation zone. -- Wednesday. Their

:28:56. > :29:02.next challenge came in a way of local rivals Barnsley. Second from

:29:03. > :29:07.bottom. Local pride and precious points at

:29:08. > :29:13.stake as these two Yorkshire rivals find themselves in another scrap for

:29:14. > :29:17.survival. Stuart Gray has led Wednesday's revival, pulling them

:29:18. > :29:21.out of the bottom three. They are aiming to go ten games unbeaten in

:29:22. > :29:26.all competitions. Barnsley have turned to the man who took them to

:29:27. > :29:27.their one and only season in the Premier League, Danny Wilson,

:29:28. > :29:43.against his former club. Danny Wilson has brought in no fewer

:29:44. > :29:51.than six new players during the transfer window. Jack Hunt is in

:29:52. > :29:53.right back and Emanuel Frimpong, signed from Arsenal, gets the nod at

:29:54. > :30:03.midfield. Barnsley corner. Barnsley inching

:30:04. > :30:26.themselves into the game. A blistering strike! Blocked twice.

:30:27. > :30:36.My word, that was travelling. How close were Barnsley to scoring here?

:30:37. > :30:48.Howard Wilkinson and Dickie Bird, side by side.

:30:49. > :30:59.Frimpong has to be careful. At this rate he will end up getting himself

:31:00. > :31:04.booked. Too keen to get involved. He got nowhere near the ball. The

:31:05. > :31:13.referee taking charge of his first football league fixture of the

:31:14. > :31:17.season. Tells Frimpong to calm down. Maguire goes down on the edge. And

:31:18. > :31:27.it is Frimpong again. What did we say? Yellow card. He should have

:31:28. > :31:39.learnt. But he didn't. And now he is walking a tightrope.

:31:40. > :31:47.It is Frimpong with the challenge. It will be a second yellow and it

:31:48. > :31:53.will be red for Emanuel Frimpong on his debut. He lost his cool area in

:31:54. > :32:01.the game. Someone needed to calm him down. But Emanuel Frimpong has a

:32:02. > :32:07.debut to forget. Barnsley down to ten men. He has to put up with the

:32:08. > :32:20.stick he is getting from the Sheffield Wednesday fans. He has got

:32:21. > :32:26.to walk right past them. Jennings! Good save from Chris Kirkland. That

:32:27. > :32:34.would've been turned up. -- that would have been a surprise. He is

:32:35. > :32:44.yet to score for Barnsley. The last action of the first tab.

:32:45. > :33:09.-- the first half. Of his own post from Jack Hunt!

:33:10. > :33:17.Kieran Lee! Pushed away by the goalkeeper. They are getting closer.

:33:18. > :33:30.But not close enough. Jennings caught in possession. Lee has a go.

:33:31. > :33:32.That was a good save. Far from a classic but it has had its talking

:33:33. > :33:52.points. Let's have a look at this. Mellis is

:33:53. > :33:56.pointing the finger at Jermaine Johnson. He is going for the

:33:57. > :34:03.pocket. I think this is going to be red. It is! He has only been on the

:34:04. > :34:08.field a matter of minutes, Jermaine Johnson. Let's have a look. That was

:34:09. > :34:28.high. That was reckless. Mellis slipped. It looked that way

:34:29. > :34:34.at first glance. A second viewing might make the decision easier. He

:34:35. > :34:37.steps on the inside of the defender. Was their contact? Barnsley have a

:34:38. > :35:00.throw. Mellis went flying in. That looked

:35:01. > :35:06.reckless from Jacob Mellis. Are we going to see a third player sent

:35:07. > :35:11.off? We are. Jacob Mellis dismissed. Incredible. And is that because he

:35:12. > :35:20.felt he should have had a penalty moments before. --? Has he taken his

:35:21. > :35:40.frustration out? The speed at which he comes over the top there.

:35:41. > :35:51.Would you believe it! Chris Maguire with only seconds to spare, wins the

:35:52. > :35:56.game first Sheffield Wednesday! -- first Sheffield Wednesday. Wild

:35:57. > :36:06.celebrations all around. Nobody saw this coming. An incredible end to a

:36:07. > :36:13.very odd game. Chris Maguire wins it for Sheffield Wednesday.

:36:14. > :36:22.A couple of the tackles were a little warning, stop it, by the way.

:36:23. > :36:32.But an experienced referee would have recognised that. I think Dan is

:36:33. > :36:36.a little disappointed that he played over five minutes. Would you play to

:36:37. > :36:39.the final whistle. Chris Maguire picked the ball up and we know he is

:36:40. > :36:46.going to shoot. A great feeling when it went in. We played five minutes

:36:47. > :36:52.over time. Seven and a half minutes at the end. The goal has, from that.

:36:53. > :37:00.I don't know where the rest of the time has come from.

:37:01. > :37:04.Danny Wilson feeling hard done by. Wednesday came out on top in pretty

:37:05. > :37:11.dramatic fashion. Was it the right result? Sheffield Wednesday sneaked

:37:12. > :37:15.it on the majority of possession. I thought Barnsley showed terrific

:37:16. > :37:20.spirit. But yes, they just about edged it, Sheffield Wednesday. No

:37:21. > :37:27.argument over the red cards. Frimpong had been warned. The

:37:28. > :37:32.challenge by Johnson was horrific. And Mellis, he was reckless. The

:37:33. > :37:40.referee was right on all counts. As for the all-important goal, we will

:37:41. > :37:45.see this as a pivotal goal both clubs. Definitely. O'Brien will be

:37:46. > :37:54.disappointed. He could have done better with the clearance. Sheffield

:37:55. > :37:59.Wednesday have gone ten unbeaten. For Barnsley, they have just gone on

:38:00. > :38:02.a nice little run themselves. Danny knows it is a run of results that

:38:03. > :38:09.will get them out. He needs to pick them off the floor and get on the

:38:10. > :38:14.road again. That was a big setback. Blackburn's promotion push suffered

:38:15. > :38:18.another blow at the week -- in the week as they dropped points against

:38:19. > :38:26.Barnsley. Blackpool were the visitors today.

:38:27. > :38:34.Blackpool were seeking a spark to reignite their season. The man who

:38:35. > :38:40.got the ball rolling for Blackburn needed no introduction. David Dunn,

:38:41. > :38:48.still going strong at 34. Another blow for Blackpool, who need a new

:38:49. > :38:52.playmaker now Thomas Ince has moved to the Premier League. Steve Davis

:38:53. > :38:55.did his best. Barry Ferguson reckons Blackpool could still make the

:38:56. > :39:00.play-offs but that is surely a long shot. Much more realistic for

:39:01. > :39:09.Blackburn Rovers, five points adrift. The home side made sure they

:39:10. > :39:13.keep tabs on the top six, with Grant Hanley scoring. It was a goal which

:39:14. > :39:18.guaranteed Blackpool's 10th league defeat in 12.

:39:19. > :39:25.I am disappointed, obviously. I wanted to win the game. The two

:39:26. > :39:34.goals we could have dealt with a bit better. But overall, I think you

:39:35. > :39:38.could see, once we get a bit of time to spend on the training pitch,

:39:39. > :39:47.which will passion -- which we will be doing next week, we have got a

:39:48. > :39:50.good team. We just need to believe. Doncaster have found some form.

:39:51. > :39:57.Against Middlesbrough they were seeking a third win out of four.

:39:58. > :40:03.They might have got it. Neither side created much. Paul Dickov's site are

:40:04. > :40:06.much stronger at the back. Saint Aitor Karanka arrived at

:40:07. > :40:14.Middlesbrough, they have improved at that -- in that position as well.

:40:15. > :40:18.The Teessiders did not quite have the quality to win the game.

:40:19. > :40:28.Goalkeeper Sam Johnston was not tested. A goalless draw.

:40:29. > :40:37.Two clubs with different agendas. Two managers with a genuine mutual

:40:38. > :40:41.respect. The ease with which Charlton opened up the Wigan defence

:40:42. > :40:46.will have been cause for concern. Johnnie Jackson with the assist.

:40:47. > :40:52.Sordell beat the advancing goalkeeper. One of the best moves of

:40:53. > :41:00.the match ended without reward. Callum McManaman had a chance for

:41:01. > :41:12.the equaliser. Nicky Maynard felt aggrieved. He found the net but the

:41:13. > :41:18.goal was wrongly ruled out. Uwe Rosler made changes to his team. In

:41:19. > :41:26.the final minutes his tactical reshuffle paid off. Fortune

:41:27. > :41:31.equalised. The last of the Wigan substitute provided the greatest

:41:32. > :41:38.drama. Jordi Gomez spark jubilant scenes with a set piece special.

:41:39. > :41:42.Charlton stay in the bottom three. There is always drama with me. There

:41:43. > :41:48.is always the chance to come back into the game. The players did

:41:49. > :41:52.magnificently. They started a bit sloppy. Conceded so early in the

:41:53. > :41:57.game. The way we chased the game, especially in the second half, all

:41:58. > :42:01.Charlton -- credit to Charlton, they defended for their lives. The three

:42:02. > :42:05.substitutions helped us. It was disappointing to concede that

:42:06. > :42:09.free kick and come away with nothing. I thought the players were

:42:10. > :42:14.brave in the way they played. And to hang in there. But they need to do

:42:15. > :42:19.that to the end. Dramatic late turnaround at Wigan.

:42:20. > :42:24.They remain in the play-off hunt with games in hand. For Charlton, no

:42:25. > :42:33.win in eight matches away from home. Chris Powell, 15 players out of

:42:34. > :42:38.contract in the summer. He has almost got a new look squad to start

:42:39. > :42:41.again with? Yes. With all that uncertainty going around your

:42:42. > :42:49.contract, which is difficult to live with, he has put out a side with

:42:50. > :42:53.four debuts, to academy players, a goalkeeper playing his second game.

:42:54. > :42:58.To perform like that was admirable. It was heartbreaking to lose the way

:42:59. > :43:06.they did. Chris will be proud the way the players performed. It will

:43:07. > :43:13.take a bit of patience, wanted? -- want it? Yes, it will. I wonder if

:43:14. > :43:17.the Charlton fans will buy into it. Lots of promise for the future. They

:43:18. > :43:22.need to give him time to get these young players to gel. I think it is

:43:23. > :43:26.great that a club like Charlton are dipping into the academy and giving

:43:27. > :43:32.them an opportunity and they are performing like that. All Charlton

:43:33. > :43:35.fans should be proud. The same could be said of Blackpool, who have had a

:43:36. > :43:44.a mulch or as few days. They came unstuck against Blackburn. They were

:43:45. > :43:52.hit for five in the mid week and they are now without the other

:43:53. > :43:56.inputs, Thomas has gone. It is difficult when you are in freefall.

:43:57. > :44:01.Paul Ince has gone, they have not won in 12 games. So taking over a

:44:02. > :44:04.team that is lacking in spirit and have lost their best player. The

:44:05. > :44:08.goals they conceded were poor goals. It is a shame, because the

:44:09. > :44:15.performance wasn't bad. It will give them hope that they have stuck in

:44:16. > :44:18.there against a decent Blackburn side. Barry is a work and is

:44:19. > :44:22.determined and they need a win to get them going. To League One, which

:44:23. > :44:26.had three games called off because of the weather, but no such problems

:44:27. > :44:30.for Rotherham, who, after celebrating promotion back in May,

:44:31. > :44:32.have pretty much carried off where they left off last season, in the

:44:33. > :44:42.play-off positions. They welcomed promotion rivals

:44:43. > :44:46.Leyton Orient. A gleaming beacon of urban

:44:47. > :44:52.regeneration on Rotherham's once industrial heartland. The New York

:44:53. > :45:01.Stadium, where it is time's football club who have doubled their

:45:02. > :45:05.attendances over 18 months. Rotherham United, exiled in

:45:06. > :45:08.Sheffield United and hit by a cumulative deduction of 37 points,

:45:09. > :45:12.have been to hell and back since they were last in the Championship

:45:13. > :45:19.nine years ago. And Steve Evans, one of the technical areas most

:45:20. > :45:20.formidable adversaries, is campaigning for promotion in the

:45:21. > :45:44.fourth year in succession. How are you? Can I get you some

:45:45. > :45:50.cushions or something? I was falling asleep. Don't you love it when a

:45:51. > :45:54.plan comes together, I think you knew what could be done.

:45:55. > :45:58.Absolutely, it was always a club that was below it could have been,

:45:59. > :46:04.but the best manager in the game, Sir Alex, told me that if I was

:46:05. > :46:09.going to leave, check with the chairman, and I spoke to the

:46:10. > :46:14.chairman and asked what the facilities were going to be, what he

:46:15. > :46:20.was trying to do with the club and it was a no-brainer. How ambitious

:46:21. > :46:24.are you long-term? I said when we get to the Championship, I'll start

:46:25. > :46:27.dreaming again. We have quite a way to go but ambition is about being

:46:28. > :46:36.able to perform with the best and that will never leave me. It is a

:46:37. > :46:41.really tough league to competing but we are trying our best to make sure

:46:42. > :46:47.that, come the end of the season, when we have a few games played, we

:46:48. > :46:51.have this place rocking and we play-off place. Is this the new you?

:46:52. > :46:58.People always see the work persona, are you chilling a bit? I had to

:46:59. > :47:03.channel my enthusiasm and passion. I had a Watford chairman who wanted me

:47:04. > :47:09.to channel it and directed in the right way -- and I work for a

:47:10. > :47:13.chairman. If I was married to you, I would be worried about you. The

:47:14. > :47:20.stress comes with it, but it is about how you manage it. In the last

:47:21. > :47:24.year, being away from match day, it has taken the stress levels down and

:47:25. > :47:30.then I manage it on match day. Do you want a cup of tea and your

:47:31. > :47:32.cushions? Back into normal position. 50 minutes before

:47:33. > :47:43.kick-off, have a sleep. Leyton Orient's usually impressive

:47:44. > :47:50.away record has kept them at the right end of the table. Rotherham

:47:51. > :47:53.harbouring similar ambitions. Wes Thomas on the end of a Pringle

:47:54. > :47:57.cross, his first goal for the club. They nearly strengthened their hold

:47:58. > :48:02.on proceedings when Tom Hitchcock was sent clear. Only a smart save

:48:03. > :48:08.prevented him from claiming Rotherham's second of the afternoon.

:48:09. > :48:13.Orient haven't been beaten in six and have scored more goals than any

:48:14. > :48:15.of their rivals, so it was no surprise when Moses Odubajo brought

:48:16. > :48:21.them back into this game in the final quarter of an hour. Pringle

:48:22. > :48:29.was a player Rotherham did well to hold onto. His drive from distance

:48:30. > :48:33.flashing just wide. Alex Revel, who enjoyed a productive spell with

:48:34. > :48:38.Orient before moving north won it in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

:48:39. > :48:41.Rotherham turned down a bid from commentary for the striker and that

:48:42. > :48:48.looked a good move as he claimed his third goal in week.

:48:49. > :48:52.Steve, I'm going to forgive you those histrionics at the end. That

:48:53. > :48:57.was not what we were talking about pre-match. We knew the game was time

:48:58. > :49:01.up and I think that is too good teams that have gone toe to toe,

:49:02. > :49:05.perhaps we should have been further in front at half-time. They have had

:49:06. > :49:10.a real go, and the medical man has the watch and he said it was time.

:49:11. > :49:14.Richie wins the ball, gives it to Alex and the rest will be history,

:49:15. > :49:20.that we have beaten them. It is a great win for us. I am not playing

:49:21. > :49:23.it down, they are a great side. What a great late performance from Steve

:49:24. > :49:27.Evans's Rotherham. He says he has mellowed but no luck

:49:28. > :49:33.fighting spirit from his players. Certainly not, a great performance

:49:34. > :49:39.against Oriente. He had to mellowed, believe me, because when he was in

:49:40. > :49:43.the opposite dugout, he was abrasive and aggressive but he is a winner.

:49:44. > :49:45.They are in the play-off positions now and he is going for his fourth

:49:46. > :49:51.consecutive promotion, which is outstanding. It shows not only is he

:49:52. > :49:53.someone who likes winning but he knows what he's doing, he knows his

:49:54. > :49:58.players and is building something very good. We mustn't forget they

:49:59. > :50:02.have only just got back into this division after a while. While some

:50:03. > :50:05.people say it is then to a decent sometimes they won't keep the

:50:06. > :50:10.momentum, you can see them holding their position through till the end

:50:11. > :50:12.of the season. He will certainly be relentless with his players and

:50:13. > :50:17.there is a real desire in that football club. He is a deep thinker

:50:18. > :50:22.of the game. They have got a poor home record, so I think he got his

:50:23. > :50:26.players to stay in a hotel. I think he may have driven around town to

:50:27. > :50:30.recreate an away performance. That is how he thinks about the game, no

:50:31. > :50:35.stone is unturned, he knows his stuff, and that is why he has had so

:50:36. > :50:38.much success. It is all right having money but you have to spend it

:50:39. > :50:45.wisely in the lower divisions and he has done that. There is no doubt who

:50:46. > :50:49.the division's inform side is at the moment. Brentford's win over Bristol

:50:50. > :50:54.City on Tuesday was their 10th win in 11 league games to maintain their

:50:55. > :51:00.2-point lead at the top. Mark Aubert and faced a trip to relegation

:51:01. > :51:01.threatened Shrewsbury, who are adapting to life after Graham

:51:02. > :51:11.Turner. Leyton Orient's last-gasp defeat

:51:12. > :51:15.left the way open for Brentford to extend their lead at the top and

:51:16. > :51:19.they opened the scoring at Shrewsbury following a generous

:52:01. > :52:05.and that his life, we move on and we are top of the table. It wasn't a

:52:06. > :52:08.great day conditions was, with the wind and the pitch was heavy but we

:52:09. > :52:14.are pleased with a point. I think we deserved that.

:52:15. > :52:20.Having used the window to clear out some of the higher wage earners, it

:52:21. > :52:25.is a leaner and meaner walls. Leon Clarke joined from commentary but

:52:26. > :52:30.there was no debut goal. The game turned when Nathan Doyle went in

:52:31. > :52:41.hard on Kevin McDonald. A second caution inside 28 minutes. Even so,

:52:42. > :52:48.the bantams still posed a threat. Adam Reach battering the bar for

:52:49. > :52:56.Bradford. The opener came right on half-time. Kevin McDonald, goalless

:52:57. > :53:07.since August, made it two in two games. Right back Stephen Dobbie

:53:08. > :53:11.went on and once again, they would work rescued League One's best

:53:12. > :53:20.defence. A game where walls needed a second goal as an insurance policy,

:53:21. > :53:25.it came like the first, via Bakary Sako's assist, Nouha Dicko scoring

:53:26. > :53:30.his third in three league games. Clark nearly had a bad goal on his

:53:31. > :53:37.second Molineux debut. Wolverhampton Wanderers back of the second, the

:53:38. > :53:42.managers verdict? Could do better. -- back up to. I think we can do

:53:43. > :53:45.better than we did today. It is a professional performance and the

:53:46. > :53:48.conditions weren't easy but for the amount of possession, we should do

:53:49. > :53:51.better. The sending-off was disappointing, Nathan has got to

:53:52. > :53:55.stay on his feet after being booked. He has left ten players to a

:53:56. > :54:02.real tough task out there and it was difficult.

:54:03. > :54:10.This one was in keeping with league positions, but the magpies did

:54:11. > :54:12.frustrate Simon Grayson's high-flyers thrown our thanks to an

:54:13. > :54:21.inspired performance by the goalkeeper Pilkington. He was named

:54:22. > :54:23.between the post because of illness and injury. You wouldn't have

:54:24. > :54:29.guessed it was his first appearance since last March. The hosts did

:54:30. > :54:33.finally find a way through courtesy Davies, when he produced a wonderful

:54:34. > :54:40.spin and hit midway through the second half to find the net on his

:54:41. > :54:44.Preston debut. And the points were wrapped up soon after when Jack

:54:45. > :54:50.Grealish's attempted interception sent babies through and in trying to

:54:51. > :54:53.repair the damage, Jack Grealish brought him down. Canty felt it was

:54:54. > :54:59.outside the box but the referee said inside. Joe Garner did the necessary

:55:00. > :55:06.and the magpies slipped into the relegation zone.

:55:07. > :55:11.Jon Stead was a Transfer Deadline Day soldering for Oldham athletic

:55:12. > :55:17.and was soon showing Swindon town exactly what he was capable of.

:55:18. > :55:26.Oldham hadn't won away since late November but that run came to an end

:55:27. > :55:29.at the County ground. Jon Stead involved again until Jonathan

:55:30. > :55:39.Grounds settled matters with the only goal. Having already been

:55:40. > :55:41.booked, the substitute went in late two end his all too brief

:55:42. > :55:48.appearance, and victory was Oldham's.

:55:49. > :55:52.Yes a good response from Oldham's players at that heavy defeat to

:55:53. > :55:55.Wolverhampton Wanderers, but for Shrewsbury, it may not be the wind

:55:56. > :56:02.that Michael Jackson wanted but it is a very good point against the

:56:03. > :56:11.league leaders -- the win. The first goal at greenhouse Meadow. It is

:56:12. > :56:16.right in the dying embers of the game, Tom Eaves, it is a great half

:56:17. > :56:21.volley. They didn't want to come away with nothing again but as you

:56:22. > :56:25.said, first goal in six games and first point, he is up and running.

:56:26. > :56:32.Of course, he follows Graham Turner, it is quite some task. It certainly

:56:33. > :56:36.is. When Graham resigned a couple of weeks ago, it was the end of an

:56:37. > :56:40.era, as such. A great football man, he knew his stuff, Aston Villa,

:56:41. > :56:46.Hereford, do a fantastic job and a legend at Shrewsbury, so it was a

:56:47. > :56:52.real shame it had to come, but great careers to come to an end and he

:56:53. > :56:54.made a really respectful decision to Shrewsbury to resign, because he

:56:55. > :56:59.felt he couldn't take the club forward. Michael Jackson has bad

:57:00. > :57:04.start, I'm sure he has somebody he can call at times -- has that stuff.

:57:05. > :57:08.I'm sure Graham will provide him with all of the help he requests.

:57:09. > :57:14.From Michael Jackson to Craig Davies, who looks like a very decent

:57:15. > :57:19.acquisition for Preston. He has come in, got a goal and won a penalty on

:57:20. > :57:24.a dream debut. A great touch and finish from the big man. He has

:57:25. > :57:28.always had good faith but he has had injury problems at Barnsley, Bolton

:57:29. > :57:31.and hasn't had a run-in with those injuries but let's hope that he can

:57:32. > :57:37.get a good run of games and get his fitness, because he has quality. Our

:57:38. > :57:40.last look at League One begins at Priestfield, as Chillingham look to

:57:41. > :57:45.get their recovery under Peter Taylor back on track after a setback

:57:46. > :57:57.at Brentford last time. The visitors were Port Vale. Gillingham's striker

:57:58. > :58:02.Akinfenwa put away three goals in his previous three starts. He said

:58:03. > :58:09.the Gills on their way to a third consecutive home win. Just past the

:58:10. > :58:17.hour he met another magnificent delivery. Port Vale were heading for

:58:18. > :58:23.a fourth league defeat on the spin. That was confirmed by the goal of

:58:24. > :58:30.the match a few minutes later, McDonald's scoring. -- McDonald.

:58:31. > :58:36.There was a late flurry from Port Vale when Chris Robertson cut the

:58:37. > :58:41.arrears. The referee's assistant superbly placed to award the goal.

:58:42. > :58:48.In the end it didn't matter, although the last three minutes were

:58:49. > :58:53.nervous for the home fans. A tied scoreline but Gillingham were good

:58:54. > :58:56.value for the win. I am over the moon the way the

:58:57. > :59:00.players have got a result. We can always learn from things. Sometimes

:59:01. > :59:05.you get a win and you don't think so much about the game. But we got a

:59:06. > :59:12.win today and we can learn a lot from -- from it. That is good.

:59:13. > :59:21.It was a fruitless deadline day for MK Dons. They lack of goals is

:59:22. > :59:31.becoming a real problem. -- the lack of goals. The goals of dried up with

:59:32. > :59:36.Bamford's departure. Powell offered the dons some hope. The goalkeeper

:59:37. > :59:45.in the way. Tranmere rode their luck. Powell almost scored again but

:59:46. > :59:48.Rovers held firm. How is this for a kick in the teeth? Ryan Lowe on hand

:59:49. > :00:02.to smash and grab. Derek Williams will be a relieved

:00:03. > :00:11.man this evening. His loose pass almost led to an early opener for

:00:12. > :00:16.Carlisle. The Cumbrians arrived on a run of four straight defeats. They

:00:17. > :00:19.took the lead when Potts found the net for the second game running.

:00:20. > :00:28.With just one clean sheet in their last 12 matches, one was always a

:00:29. > :00:40.fragile advantage. Two city goals proved that. Both came courtesy of

:00:41. > :00:45.Marvin Elliott. They move out of the relegation zone for the first time

:00:46. > :00:53.since November. Crewe have not won consecutive home

:00:54. > :00:58.matches all season. Nigel Clough's first game in charge for Sheffield

:00:59. > :01:15.Crewe. He won on that occasion. There was to be no repeat. Cloth's

:01:16. > :01:21.team in deep trouble and facing a 2-goal deficit. Things got worse.

:01:22. > :01:30.They rarely threatened the home defence. A penalty appeal waved away

:01:31. > :01:36.my first wedding day for a struggling team. Crewe went on to

:01:37. > :01:46.claim a third in stoppage time. Moore guaranteed a highly

:01:47. > :01:50.significant victory. Sheffield United dropping to the bottom two.

:01:51. > :01:54.The threat of relegation is all too clear.

:01:55. > :02:05.Terrific performers like Crewe, thanks mainly to the inform striker.

:02:06. > :02:10.Nigel Clough must be tearing his hair out, particularly after holding

:02:11. > :02:17.full to draw a few days earlier? Bloom It is just what he didn't

:02:18. > :02:19.want. He will be disappointed. Their performances have been good under

:02:20. > :02:40.Nigel Clough. Nigel will be disappointed. We saw

:02:41. > :02:51.Ryan Lowe come up with the winner for Tranmere. He has scored 15 of

:02:52. > :02:57.his team's 32 goals. At that age, playing as a lone striker, it is a

:02:58. > :03:04.great return? It is. Apparently he had cramp and he wanted to come off.

:03:05. > :03:10.Ronnie kept him on. Ronnie has done little bit of magic. He brought

:03:11. > :03:17.Astley back into the fold. Ryan will get a little bit of help. I think

:03:18. > :03:25.you will be pleased. Let's see how the Sky Bet League two

:03:26. > :03:37.fared. On Friday night, Southend looked to extend their unbeaten run

:03:38. > :03:41.against Newport County. The pitch always promised to spoil

:03:42. > :03:46.the spectacle. The home side went close to livening up a quiet first

:03:47. > :03:59.half. Atkinson's header was turned on to the post. Newport County work

:04:00. > :04:04.cursing in the second half. Bobby Wilmot put his penalty into the

:04:05. > :04:13.seats. Hugely frustrating for a club yet to win in 2014. Southend were

:04:14. > :04:20.held to their first goalless draw the season. Having climbed into top

:04:21. > :04:25.spot during the week, Chesterfield were in no mood to slip up against

:04:26. > :04:29.Bristol Rovers. They needed less than five minutes to take the lead.

:04:30. > :04:36.Morsy scoring his first goal for the club. Rovers were briefly back on

:04:37. > :04:42.level terms. An inch perfect finish from Lee Brown raised hopes of a

:04:43. > :04:50.shock result. The Pirates hang --: Until half-time. -- had the Pirates

:04:51. > :04:54.held on until half-time, they may have had a chance. But Banks

:04:55. > :04:59.restored the advantage. There was more dodgy defending the other side

:05:00. > :05:06.of the interval. Parks gave the ball to Roberts, and he teed up Owen

:05:07. > :05:11.Coyle. The home side might have had more. O Shea was unlucky with this

:05:12. > :05:18.effort. A fourth would not have flattered Chesterfield.

:05:19. > :05:21.Fair credit to the lads, they worked hard from the first minute to the

:05:22. > :05:27.final whistle. A good game considering the conditions. We have

:05:28. > :05:31.been penalised for some poor defending. The second goal was a

:05:32. > :05:37.mistake. Suddenly you are chasing a massive game against the league

:05:38. > :05:44.leaders, who are a massive side. Scunthorpe have not lost in 12 under

:05:45. > :05:52.manager Russ Wilcox. It has been a sticky spell for Hartlepool. Four

:05:53. > :05:58.defeats in five. The second have failed to ignite. Williams was too

:05:59. > :06:03.high with his chance. It is difficult for both teams. They

:06:04. > :06:09.both played really well. I thought it was a decent point for both

:06:10. > :06:14.teams. Just a frustrating afternoon really. The conditions played a

:06:15. > :06:23.part. A win for Fleetwood would have taken

:06:24. > :06:31.them into the top to -- two. An own goal gifted them the lead at the end

:06:32. > :06:38.of the first half. They found an equaliser with 18 minutes left.

:06:39. > :06:42.Mandron tapping home after Yorke repeatedly failed to clear their

:06:43. > :06:47.lines. Surely now Fleetwood were favourites to take the points? A

:06:48. > :06:50.minutes into stoppage time it was Fletcher who arrived at the near

:06:51. > :06:56.post for his 12th of the season. Your cut had pulled off one of the

:06:57. > :07:00.shocks of the weekend. -- York. Disappointing because I don't think

:07:01. > :07:08.we deserved to lose. But we have lost. Two sloppy bits of defending

:07:09. > :07:11.cost us the game. It has been on Lycos so far this calendar year. It

:07:12. > :07:19.is something we have to make right for the next game.

:07:20. > :07:23.Boasting League two's best home record, Rochdale were set to make

:07:24. > :07:26.short work of Dagenham Redbridge. But when Donnelly missed the

:07:27. > :07:31.target, it was the first hint of the afternoon would not run to form. The

:07:32. > :07:37.next time he had the goal at his mercy, he did better only fully

:07:38. > :07:39.goalkeeper to pull off a stop. Dagenham's defensive resilience

:07:40. > :07:47.provided the platform for a sizeable surprise. Murphy secured the win.

:07:48. > :07:54.That made it five points from three successive games against promotion

:07:55. > :07:58.changes. 2014 is promising so far for the Essex club, even if they

:07:59. > :08:02.could not pinch a second. We knew it was going to be a difficult game. We

:08:03. > :08:06.came out in the second half and I thought we had some decent chances.

:08:07. > :08:12.But it was always going to be a difficult game. Reasonably happy

:08:13. > :08:20.with where we are. Listen, I'm just looking forward to next week.

:08:21. > :08:26.Oxford are yet to taste defeat under caretaker manager Mickey Lewis. They

:08:27. > :08:38.took the lead against Wimbledon. David Connolly scored a second. Back

:08:39. > :08:42.in the day Connolly was a regular scorer for Wimbledon. On another

:08:43. > :08:46.day, Wimbledon might have taken something from this game. Charlie

:08:47. > :08:55.White pulled one back with 15 minutes remaining. -- Wyke. Oxford

:08:56. > :08:58.held on and climb back into the top three.

:08:59. > :09:08.Fair play to him, -- them, they shook people up front. That is what

:09:09. > :09:12.you do when you are too-1 down. Had a half decent chance towards the

:09:13. > :09:15.end. It was a tough game. I am disappointed for the boys

:09:16. > :09:24.because I said to them before the game it is about both boxes. Between

:09:25. > :09:35.the boxes we have been at least as good as them if not better.

:09:36. > :09:49.Paul Tisdale talk is team to face Burton. Alexander begin the game on

:09:50. > :09:52.the bench. -- began. After long spells of midfield hustle and

:09:53. > :09:57.bustle, the opening goal was a hard luck story for Burton. The

:09:58. > :10:06.goalkeeper saved superbly from O'Flynn. The ball hit Sharps in the

:10:07. > :10:13.face. An unlucky own goal. The lead lasted barely two minutes. The

:10:14. > :10:23.impressive McGurk began the move. And he finished, his eighth league

:10:24. > :10:29.goal of the season. Scott Bennett had and missed one of

:10:30. > :10:34.the better chances late on. Davies went closer still, kept out by the

:10:35. > :10:44.post. Honours even, but Burton way below their best. If you had told me

:10:45. > :10:47.we would draw before the game, I would be disappointed because it was

:10:48. > :10:52.a big game for us. If we won, it would give us impetus for the next

:10:53. > :10:57.few. But after seeing how we have played and the conditions, I would

:10:58. > :11:01.have to say probably a point gained. I don't know how other teams around

:11:02. > :11:03.us have done but it might be an important point at the end of the

:11:04. > :11:10.season. We didn't play anywhere near well enough.

:11:11. > :11:14.Conditions for the Accrington and Morecambe fixture were absolutely

:11:15. > :11:19.shocking. Just before the break, with the ball slashing all over the

:11:20. > :11:24.place, Alex Kenyon lost his composure and following a two footed

:11:25. > :11:31.tackle on Peter Murphy, the referee produced a red card as tempers began

:11:32. > :11:38.to flare. And with the rain continuing to Bandstand and with

:11:39. > :11:43.standing water on the pitch, the referee abandoned the match before

:11:44. > :11:49.the hour mark, although comanager James Beattie was critical of the

:11:50. > :11:56.decision. -- home manager. Plymouth Argyle

:11:57. > :12:00.lost goalkeeper Luke McCall back at a later -- McCormack to injury after

:12:01. > :12:05.15 minutes and his replacement was in picking the ball out of the net.

:12:06. > :12:12.A big moment for Mansfield team looking to put them selves away from

:12:13. > :12:20.the bottom two. But Plymouth came roaring back. They knew that in

:12:21. > :12:24.October, Plymouth had snatched the winner right at the death, so six

:12:25. > :12:33.minutes of stoppage time was far from welcome. In the very last of

:12:34. > :12:44.those, Nathan Thomas bamboozled the Beavers and Mansfield ended up with

:12:45. > :12:48.their third draw in a row. Chris Wilder's tenure at Northampton could

:12:49. > :12:52.hardly have started any worse. Mr Allam two minutes had been played

:12:53. > :12:56.when the Cobblers keeper Matt Duke -- less than two minutes had been

:12:57. > :13:04.played when the Cobblers keeper Matt Duke misread that one. Northampton

:13:05. > :13:13.did enough to suggest there may be better days ahead. Ian Morris nearly

:13:14. > :13:19.scored, his effort striking the woodwork. His next contribution was

:13:20. > :13:32.almost disastrous. His under weighted pass letting in the

:13:33. > :13:36.opposition, Matt Duke saving. But with 14 minutes to go, Matty Blair

:13:37. > :13:45.prevented Northampton's third straight defeat.

:13:46. > :13:50.Not so much Fawlty Towers but a faulty Rifat Torquay's hotel meant a

:13:51. > :13:58.2am evacuation under 5am move to a new accommodation. No signs of

:13:59. > :14:03.fatigue, Trevor Carson keeping at this effort. It was Pompey who were

:14:04. > :14:12.caught napping. Billy Bodin in the wide awake club, grabbing his first

:14:13. > :14:15.goal since April. There was a response in the second

:14:16. > :14:20.half from Portsmouth. After good work from Ricky Holmes, the best

:14:21. > :14:33.chance fell to Wes fobbed. He is still goalless for his club. -- Wes

:14:34. > :14:40.Fogden. A good shed the humble wasn't giving. A first-ever Torquay

:14:41. > :14:44.win at Fratton Park -- a good shed for handball wasn't given. Just two

:14:45. > :14:47.points above the drop zone before kick-off, Berry managed to leapfrog

:14:48. > :14:52.their opponents after Anton Forrester latched onto a past from

:14:53. > :15:01.Ashley Grimes to tidily put away the only goal of the game.

:15:02. > :15:07.Unbeaten on their previous four games on the road, Nick Arnold was

:15:08. > :15:12.only just off target late on, as Bury held on for a massively

:15:13. > :15:18.important three points. A huge win for Bury, and notable away wins for

:15:19. > :15:22.your and Dagenham Redbridge but at least all of those sides could have

:15:23. > :15:25.boasted a good night's sleep -- York.

:15:26. > :15:29.One team that couldn't say that were Torquay, but they got themselves a

:15:30. > :15:34.great result. Fantastic, given the circumstances.

:15:35. > :15:37.To have no sleep, get woken at two o'clock in the morning, to be

:15:38. > :15:42.evacuated and then be rehoused at five o'clock and then go and perform

:15:43. > :15:49.is an incredible performance. I think Chris will be really pleased,

:15:50. > :15:53.and the fact that there are no excuses. Players can look for

:15:54. > :15:58.excuses and they didn't use it, it was a really important result. We

:15:59. > :16:03.saw the result that left Northampton six points adrift of safety and the

:16:04. > :16:06.battle retain -- to retain league status is getting harder. People

:16:07. > :16:13.will question why Chris Wilder has left the job at Oxford to go to

:16:14. > :16:20.Northampton. Is it just about money? No, Chris was at Oxford for five

:16:21. > :16:27.years, got them success, got them to a league -- tabbouleh, and it can

:16:28. > :16:31.drain you. A lot of the Oxford fans were not taken with him, so I needed

:16:32. > :16:35.a new challenge. He's definitely secure, he has a three and a half

:16:36. > :16:39.year contract, he only had a year at Oxford, so that is important feel

:16:40. > :16:42.family and how you feel going into work but I think a new club that do

:16:43. > :16:45.have resources should do a lot better and they certainly have got

:16:46. > :16:51.the belief that they can go forward under the manager with experience.

:16:52. > :16:55.Let's have a look at the league tables before we sign. Leicester

:16:56. > :17:01.stretch their lead at the top of the Sky Bet Championship to ten points

:17:02. > :17:05.after their ninth consecutive win. The three teams directly below them
