:00:39. > :00:43.Good evening. Welcome along to the best from the Football League. With

:00:44. > :00:48.just seven weeks remaining we are shaping up for quite a finish. Last

:00:49. > :00:53.week saw a new face amongst the managerial ranks, with Jose Enrique

:00:54. > :01:05.replacing Chris Powell at Charlton, plus, a definite contender for goal

:01:06. > :01:10.of the season at Gillingham. Not bad for his first goal in professional

:01:11. > :01:14.football. We will be hoping, along with Steve, for a few more gems

:01:15. > :01:20.tonight. Here is what is coming up. With the finishing line insight,

:01:21. > :01:29.Leicester went eight points clear on Tuesday. Today, they were at home to

:01:30. > :01:37.Blackpool. Nottingham Forest had won nine in five, and we will find out

:01:38. > :01:40.how they got on against Doncaster. We have extended highlights from the

:01:41. > :01:54.Game of the Day in League One, as Leyton Orient met Brentford. And,

:01:55. > :01:58.can Burton Albion get automatic promotion this season, having got

:01:59. > :02:03.into the play-offs last season? They play AFC Wimbledon.

:02:04. > :02:07.Championship leaders Leicester would seem to be closing in on a return to

:02:08. > :02:11.the Premier League for the first time in a decade. Today, they

:02:12. > :02:16.welcomed Blackpool to the King Power Stadium. Blackpool ended their 17

:02:17. > :02:24.game run without a win during the week against Millwall. Commentary

:02:25. > :02:28.from Paul Walker. 15 points clear of third place, surely nothing can stop

:02:29. > :02:33.Leicester City in their pursuit of Premier League football. ACPO won

:02:34. > :02:39.for the first time informants in the middle of the week. They are not

:02:40. > :02:45.safe yet. For the third game in a row, Leicester are unchanged. At

:02:46. > :02:54.Barnsley in the week, they completed their third successive 3-0 win.

:02:55. > :03:00.Former Blackpool striker is Taylor Fletcher and Kevin Phillips are on

:03:01. > :03:06.the bench. -- strikers. Jack Robinson returns from suspension for

:03:07. > :03:08.Blackpool, as Barry Ferguson changes his system, with David Goodwillie up

:03:09. > :03:26.front on his own. In comes the corner, just wide from

:03:27. > :03:32.Bishop. It was a free header. Do not get many chances against teams like

:03:33. > :03:44.Leicester, but that was a big one. Look at how he was left unmarked.

:03:45. > :03:52.That was a great chance. Danger here. Finally! It seemed

:03:53. > :03:58.inevitable, and JB Varney has opened his account. And he has actually put

:03:59. > :04:16.it wide! Everybody in the ground for he had scored. Jamie Vardy actually

:04:17. > :04:27.hit the goal! Jamie Vardy is on-site! How has he missed? He bends

:04:28. > :04:33.his run to absolute perfection. You would expect only one outcome, but

:04:34. > :04:42.he does not score. Throw from Robinson. Goodwillie! Blackpool have

:04:43. > :04:48.taken the lead, against the run of play. And it is David Goodwillie,

:04:49. > :04:55.with his first goal since joining Blackpool. The throw from Robinson

:04:56. > :05:20.was speared in. And Goodwillie did really well with the finish.

:05:21. > :05:42.The ball comes in from Halliday. Just wide from Goodwillie.

:05:43. > :05:53.Mahrez has two to aim at. He goes himself! What a goal. That is a

:05:54. > :06:04.wonder strike! It has put Leicester back on terms. Mahrez finds a little

:06:05. > :06:12.bit of room, pulls the trigger, and that is a terrific strike. Matt

:06:13. > :06:17.Gilkes clutches at thin air. Nothing he could do. And the King Power

:06:18. > :06:26.Stadium is bouncing, quite literally.

:06:27. > :06:34.And Riyad Mahrez is lining this one up. Anthony Clark is there as well.

:06:35. > :06:40.Straight into the wall. -- Anthony Clark Art. Cross comes in from

:06:41. > :06:53.Mahrez, good save. The cross was from Mahrez, David

:06:54. > :07:04.Nugent does well to flick it goalwards.

:07:05. > :07:12.Nugent turns it into Taylor Fletcher. Still going. Just wide.

:07:13. > :07:32.How close can you get?! That was a whisker away.

:07:33. > :08:08.Taylor Fletcher was up there. Anthony Knockaert, a lot of traffic

:08:09. > :08:23.of him. It is in, from Wes Morgan! It is his

:08:24. > :08:27.first goal of the campaign, and surely, it is another goal on the

:08:28. > :08:30.way to the Premier League for Leicester! Back post header, Matt

:08:31. > :08:46.Gilks could not keep it out. Riyad Mahrez does ever so well,

:08:47. > :08:47.stands up the cross. And Wes Morgan had to stretch those neck muscles to

:08:48. > :09:08.get there. Philips! It is all over. Kevin

:09:09. > :09:12.Phillips has smashed it in. It is a fabulous strike. Kevin Phillips does

:09:13. > :09:25.not celebrate against his former club.

:09:26. > :09:43.Still going strong at 40 years of age. No way back for Blackpool.

:09:44. > :09:51.Drinkwater does ever so well. He comes away with it. Danny

:09:52. > :10:07.Drinkwater! A good interception by the goalkeeper. Phillips was there.

:10:08. > :10:13.I think there was only one side trying to win it, or thought they

:10:14. > :10:17.could win it. But we gave them a bit of a lifeline. Again, it was a game

:10:18. > :10:22.of trying to be patient, and trying to make sure that what we did was to

:10:23. > :10:26.believe in our own brand of football, and the belief that we

:10:27. > :10:33.were better players, and we would come out on top. That was very much

:10:34. > :10:36.it was a wonder goal, which set them on their way. That was

:10:37. > :10:40.disappointing. But after that, we felt sorry for ourselves a wee bit.

:10:41. > :10:44.But we have got to move on. We have got to look ahead to the game next

:10:45. > :10:49.weekend. Barry Ferguson clearly went with a game plan to the King Power

:10:50. > :10:56.Stadium, and at half-time, Leicester fans might have been thinking, maybe

:10:57. > :11:01.it was working? Yes, obviously, a goal up, and a marvellous one as

:11:02. > :11:05.well, into the bargain. I remember going to Leicester when they were

:11:06. > :11:10.top last time around, I was at Millwall. Little bit like Blackpool,

:11:11. > :11:14.we scored early, and I was not sure that we would see it through. It was

:11:15. > :11:17.that kind of game, we were just waiting for Leicester to go up a

:11:18. > :11:22.gear. And that was the case after they got the equaliser. We have

:11:23. > :11:26.spoken about specific players, Jamie Vardy, Nugent, Drinkwater, but this

:11:27. > :11:34.performance was inspired by an import from France in January,

:11:35. > :11:38.Mahrez, wasn't it? Yes, I think typical of Nigel's signings this

:11:39. > :11:43.year. They have all made an impact. This one has come in and seamlessly

:11:44. > :11:48.taken the place of dire. It was a very important goal because it set

:11:49. > :11:55.them on their way. Very little you could do about that. We saw many

:11:56. > :12:07.different aspects of his game. Pace, getting to the byline, standing the

:12:08. > :12:10.ball up. It was a lovely ball. He knows instinctively what to do in

:12:11. > :12:15.the right areas. Some people pick out the wrong pass, but time and

:12:16. > :12:20.time again today, we saw him doing everything correctly. It extends

:12:21. > :12:24.Leicester's huge advantage over the third placed team, so at one point

:12:25. > :12:28.does Nigel Pearson start thinking ahead to next season? We are way

:12:29. > :12:32.past that point. He knows the strength and consistency of his

:12:33. > :12:44.squad. Will be six weeks ago he would have been making plans for

:12:45. > :12:58.next year and the Premiership. Let's find out how the chasing pack got

:12:59. > :13:14.on. Lee Clark clearly got a kick out of that result. Earlier, Sean

:13:15. > :13:19.Dyche's team was playing. Burnley were on the back foot in the first

:13:20. > :13:26.half. Matt Smith provided a fairly routine test for the goalkeeper.

:13:27. > :13:35.Ross MacCormack does not spare many chances like that. The champion's

:13:36. > :13:41.leading scorer made sure his next one would be marked on the

:13:42. > :13:51.scoresheet. It a thumping header. The Clarets were missing the injured

:13:52. > :13:56.Danny Ings. Sam Vokes panic to Jason Pierce into putting the ball into

:13:57. > :14:09.his own net. Burnley are back on course to keep their unbeaten home

:14:10. > :14:20.record on tax -- intact. It proved to Sean Dyche that his promotion

:14:21. > :14:25.chances are made of stern stuff. I said that to the players afterwards,

:14:26. > :14:34.sometimes that mentality is a vital component. We have got a fantastic

:14:35. > :14:38.manager and I thought Sean has done a fantastic job here and he has got

:14:39. > :14:42.a group of people all going in the same direction and it is what we are

:14:43. > :14:52.trying to do at Leeds, get a group together, which is challenging at

:14:53. > :14:57.the top end. If winning at home is the foundation of success, then

:14:58. > :15:02.Reding's run of four blanks explain how they have dropped out of the

:15:03. > :15:08.play-offs. The prospect of a festival of goals were not good.

:15:09. > :15:14.That first miss was a warning sign. Gareth McCleary was Redding's

:15:15. > :15:21.constant source of danger. The reaction of Adam Le Fondre said it

:15:22. > :15:27.all. Jamie Ward set up Patrick Bamford, but the goalkeeper proved

:15:28. > :15:37.his value. It was not for lack of trying that Redding failed to take

:15:38. > :15:45.up all three points. Next to benefit from the McLeary production line was

:15:46. > :15:51.Blackman. It was off target. Still the chances kept coming in the final

:15:52. > :15:55.minutes. Adam Le Fondre put the ball in the net at last, but he knew like

:15:56. > :16:05.the referee it got there with his hand on his head,. We have got the

:16:06. > :16:09.first or second highest goal-scorers at home which is important and we

:16:10. > :16:14.demonstrated some good chances, but they did not end up in the back of

:16:15. > :16:20.the net. They had a couple of chapters, but we had quite a few

:16:21. > :16:28.before that. Both managers are scratching our heads wondering why

:16:29. > :16:34.it was 0-0. This game was a celebration of the life of Alex

:16:35. > :16:51.Stocker who led Yeovil to the fifth round. Gary Johnson felt hard done

:16:52. > :16:56.by. Although Morrison might prove a decisive acquisition for the Hoops,

:16:57. > :17:03.he was in the mood for goals again. It was a terrific opener. But Yeovil

:17:04. > :17:08.have guts and they lost just one in six. Thom Lawrence nearly found the

:17:09. > :17:16.top corner. Dream was a mere spectator. Sit back and enjoy the

:17:17. > :17:22.technique of Jermaine Genius. It would have been a wonderful second

:17:23. > :17:29.goal. The second came 20 minutes from time. Bobby Zamora's long wait

:17:30. > :17:37.was finally over. His first goal in 13 months. Morrison was the star

:17:38. > :17:44.turn, so it was fitting he should finish things off. A composed strike

:17:45. > :17:52.rounded off a goalless week. We had the first 20 minutes and if the

:17:53. > :17:56.referee had allowed as the goal, which we did not think was a

:17:57. > :18:02.problem, but if the goalie slips over and it hits him, that is it in

:18:03. > :18:09.my book and we played on. People tried to make something out of

:18:10. > :18:17.nothing. We are back to third now. We got rid of 18 players at the

:18:18. > :18:20.start of the year. Wigan had won their last seven in all

:18:21. > :18:24.competitions. They arrived at Portman Road looking to extend that

:18:25. > :18:32.highly impressive record, but they fell behind to an Ipswich side with

:18:33. > :18:43.their own aspirations. Tommy Smith reacted quickest to the loose ball.

:18:44. > :18:48.Once again they failed to hold onto the lead and James Maclean brought

:18:49. > :18:52.the Latics back into the match, his first league goal for the club. Look

:18:53. > :18:59.I am should have made more of this chance. It was wasteful in the

:19:00. > :19:07.extreme. Leon Barnett put Wigan in front for the first time with an

:19:08. > :19:14.unchallenged header. Maclean ensured they moved into the top six. Marc

:19:15. > :19:23.Antoine Fortune must take much of the credit. They guaranteed the

:19:24. > :19:28.winning run continued. Thanks to the players we did a very professional

:19:29. > :19:33.job today. We did a game plan and we knew what we would face today and

:19:34. > :19:38.they coped very well with it. We had some very good counter attacks. The

:19:39. > :19:43.first goal and the third goal was an example of how we wanted to attack

:19:44. > :19:50.today. We contributed to their goals, but there are clinical enough

:19:51. > :19:54.to punish us. Unbeaten in five Bolton's recent record suggested

:19:55. > :20:05.they could steal Brighton's play-off push. Stephen Ward who scored on

:20:06. > :20:13.Tuesday's success, gave the goalkeeper a momentary scare. The

:20:14. > :20:22.goalkeeper did well to keep out Will Buckley, but only the first time.

:20:23. > :20:38.The Seagulls were soon thankful for the agility of Tom Krul shack. This

:20:39. > :20:48.was much more frustrating for Bolton. In the second half the home

:20:49. > :20:54.team eventually found a way through. Joe Mason got the final touch. Only

:20:55. > :21:08.for the linesman to have the final say. Oscar Garcia men seem to have

:21:09. > :21:14.been lifted. This was a team hitting form while others are faltering.

:21:15. > :21:18.They changed the system a little bit as well and played a different

:21:19. > :21:24.system against us and we are pleased and we took our goals well and are

:21:25. > :21:29.pleased with the result. It was a game of chapters. There was an

:21:30. > :21:36.offside which was clearly not offside. Brighton coming out on top

:21:37. > :21:43.with their 17th clean sheet of the season. But we saw two good wins for

:21:44. > :21:50.sites that have found their group. It was a good win for Burnley. We

:21:51. > :21:59.know about the injury to Danny Ings. Scott are fields scored. It was his

:22:00. > :22:03.sixth goal. More importantly the ones that he scores are vitally

:22:04. > :22:10.important for them. That is a massive psychological boost. We know

:22:11. > :22:14.they are not a one-man team, but he is a massive and integral part of

:22:15. > :22:19.the site. In so many tight games he has made the difference. But he has

:22:20. > :22:26.only been missing two times this season. Just to know that they can

:22:27. > :22:31.play with out him and they can come back from a tough situation against

:22:32. > :22:38.a team who have taken the lead against them. They handled that and

:22:39. > :22:42.came through it. What a season it is planning out for Wigan. Juggling the

:22:43. > :22:47.Europa League would have been a bit of a nightmare. They have now won

:22:48. > :22:55.the last seven in a row. It is a sensational run. Yes, it is

:22:56. > :22:59.fantastic. As soon as they get an opportunity they are in a position

:23:00. > :23:06.to punish you. There is real quality in that side. The players that have

:23:07. > :23:15.left, they got money from them, but we know they have spent well on new

:23:16. > :23:22.players. It goes to show that the job he left behind at Brentford, it

:23:23. > :23:27.shows he has got one of the best scouts of the season. We felt like

:23:28. > :23:32.he got it wrong a little bit and the system was not quite right. But that

:23:33. > :23:37.is the only time he has got it wrong in his managerial career. He has

:23:38. > :23:44.been brilliant at Brentford and is taking it to another level at Wigan.

:23:45. > :23:48.Nottingham Forest rode their luck on Tuesday with a disputed 80th minute

:23:49. > :23:52.equaliser, and they earned a precious point against

:23:53. > :23:54.Middlesbrough. On Saturday Doncaster arrived at the City Ground boosted

:23:55. > :24:40.by back-to-back wins. It would have been amazing if he had

:24:41. > :25:12.scored. It was not a bad strike, but it was always going wide. That was a

:25:13. > :25:27.good save. It was off the line. Then it was allowed to run through and

:25:28. > :25:35.then it was finally cleared. You got the feeling nobody was ever going to

:25:36. > :25:41.be able to force it through. Andy Reid tries to bring some semblance

:25:42. > :25:49.of order to proceedings. It is not a penalty, he has given it right on

:25:50. > :26:00.the edge. I consider he is a little bit lucky. For the third game

:26:01. > :26:07.running he has put a header six inches over the crossbar. It was a

:26:08. > :26:20.chance for him to enhance his reputation. Again a goal kick and

:26:21. > :26:24.Doncaster Rovers protesting that should have had a corner. It is a

:26:25. > :26:45.rare opening for Mark Duffy. That was well smothered by Darlow.

:26:46. > :27:12.Duffy did well. That was a lovely free kick from

:27:13. > :27:19.Cotterell. The save is made by Darlow. Clever

:27:20. > :27:29.little ball from Billy Sharp. Hit it well. Darlow reacted perfectly.

:27:30. > :27:37.Into the path of Paterson. Three red ahead of Paterson. They are joined

:27:38. > :27:45.by Majewski. Here is Majewski! It's a fine save. A good shot from

:27:46. > :27:49.Majewski and equally fine stop from Johnstone. The goalkeeper is saying,

:27:50. > :27:54.why on earth did you let him have such clear view of the net? As much

:27:55. > :27:57.as I'm delighted with the points some of the chances we had I'm

:27:58. > :28:02.disappointed we have not got all three. You say to yourself, can be

:28:03. > :28:07.Forest are a top team, especially at home. It's one of football's

:28:08. > :28:14.unwritten laws, expect a former star player to shine when he returns. How

:28:15. > :28:17.surprised were Huddersfield when Jordan Rhodes opened the scoring

:28:18. > :28:25.after four minutes. The home supporters were relieved when their

:28:26. > :28:31.side drew level. That was as good as it got for the home side. 1-1 at

:28:32. > :28:36.half-time became 2-1 to Blackburn. You can guess who was on the end of

:28:37. > :28:44.Conway's cross when it arrived. Goal number 19for the season for Jordan

:28:45. > :28:48.Rhodes. Huddersfield goalkeeper Smithies will have nightmares about

:28:49. > :28:51.the next action. Conway will admit his shot was straight at the keeper.

:28:52. > :28:57.The save became anything but straight-forward. That prompted

:28:58. > :29:03.changes by the Huddersfield boss. They paid off almost immediately.

:29:04. > :29:09.James Vaughan's introduction led o to Wells first goal in nine matches.

:29:10. > :29:15.3-2 to Blackburn. All that good work was undone by Clayton's error which

:29:16. > :29:22.presented Rhodes with a second Rovers hat-trick. He wasn't in the

:29:23. > :29:27.mood to race. Sights are still trained on the play-offs. A fair

:29:28. > :29:33.fairytale to come back to his old club, be the captain and score three

:29:34. > :29:42.great goals. The second worst defence in the division had Watford

:29:43. > :29:50.licking their lips. A gem shot from this. Only five minutes on the

:29:51. > :29:59.clock. Barnsley's defence offered feeble resistance. This interception

:30:00. > :30:04.had the alarm bells ringing. Troy Deeney had even more time. That is

:30:05. > :30:11.his 16th league goal and another productive season. The Tuberculosis

:30:12. > :30:20.looked every inch the side heading the wrong way. Possession was gifted

:30:21. > :30:28.to Watford. The calm head belonged to Anya. The goalscorer was Merkel.

:30:29. > :30:34.His first for the Hornets. There was nearly a second German name on the

:30:35. > :30:37.scoresheet. Barnsley's Proschwitz kept out by the crossbar. Watford's

:30:38. > :30:50.seventh cleansheet in the last nine. Nice to bounce back after Tuesday'

:30:51. > :30:53.disappointment. To get a quick start, first 15 minutes to be 2-0

:30:54. > :31:01.up. It was the perfect start to the game for us really. It was one big

:31:02. > :31:05.talking point in this South Coast meeting. Grabban's disallowed first

:31:06. > :31:10.half goal. Bournemouth's top-scorer took advantage of a mistake by

:31:11. > :31:14.Konstantopoulos to find the Middlesbrough net only o for it to

:31:15. > :31:18.be disallowed. The referee Frederick Graham ruled he fouled the borough

:31:19. > :31:23.keeper. Grabban was left to reflect on what might have been. After the

:31:24. > :31:29.interval, Matt Ritchie did his very best to find a way through. He hit

:31:30. > :31:36.the post. Konstantopoulos produced two truly outstanding saves. The

:31:37. > :31:42.first from Simon Francis. Then, another terrific stop, this time

:31:43. > :31:51.from sur monk as the Teessiders hold out for a point. -- Surman. We were

:31:52. > :31:54.trying to win the game. It was difficult. Middlesbrough's defensive

:31:55. > :31:59.record has been good of late, you can see why. Rigid, defended deep, a

:32:00. > :32:08.lot of men behind the ball. It was difficult to break them down. In the

:32:09. > :32:12.end, it didn't happen for us. Two struggling clubs keen to take their

:32:13. > :32:17.points tally into the 40s at Hillsborough. Birmingham never

:32:18. > :32:21.looked like to make an impact. The dust had barely settled before

:32:22. > :32:26.Lavery was attacking McGuire's corner. Leon Best was left with the

:32:27. > :32:29.simplest tap-in. Not even midway through the first half and Sheffield

:32:30. > :32:45.Wednesday had a healthy advantage. Which became insurmountable after

:32:46. > :32:48.the break. There was time for Lavery to add another cracker. Two

:32:49. > :32:52.memorable goals he hopes will put a smile on his mum's face back in

:32:53. > :32:59.Canada, where she is recovering from an operation. A romp for Wednesday

:33:00. > :33:03.on day when nothing went right for Birmingham, forced with injuries to

:33:04. > :33:09.play out the remaining minutes with 10-men. They pulled one goal back

:33:10. > :33:16.thanks to Novak. Four points above the bottom three that consolation

:33:17. > :33:20.proved little cause for celebration. Didn't look like we had any

:33:21. > :33:27.alreadying levels, we looked flat, didn't play with tempo or intensity.

:33:28. > :33:30.The scoreline suggested that. We have gifted four goals away.

:33:31. > :33:38.Preventible from our point of view. Not a good day on the injury front

:33:39. > :33:43.either. New manager, new hope. That is the Charlton plan. David Forde

:33:44. > :33:55.wasn't playing ball with Jackson's header. Hamer had a scare. Ian

:33:56. > :34:00.Holloway will wonder how his side didn't win from this corner.

:34:01. > :34:08.Charlton though climb off the bottom. I was am coulding here to

:34:09. > :34:16.win. Believe me. Then I won't always win the games. Maybe it's only one

:34:17. > :34:20.point plus another point, but two points and you add three points it

:34:21. > :34:24.can make the difference. A frustrating day for us because we

:34:25. > :34:29.didn't take one of our opportunities we created. I think the game was a

:34:30. > :34:32.very nervous game. I thought it was both teams knew the importance of

:34:33. > :34:38.it. Probably more so us, knowing they have got four games in hand on

:34:39. > :34:43.us. We wanted six points for them to try and claw back. That was one of

:34:44. > :34:47.the games we could have notched off. Goalless at The Den. Hardly the why

:34:48. > :34:52.ideal result for either of those sides. You were there. What did you

:34:53. > :34:59.make of it all? Both these sides have similar records. One in the

:35:00. > :35:03.last ten, one goal in their last five. The game wasn't a major

:35:04. > :35:07.surprise. Both teams low in confidence. Bourne out particularly

:35:08. > :35:11.first half by lack of options for the man on the ball. I think

:35:12. > :35:15.Millwall too many times the ball went forward when it didn't need. To

:35:16. > :35:18.a lot of times Charlton had possession, looked forward and

:35:19. > :35:27.having to go back, no-one was showing. That was evident in the

:35:28. > :35:30.game. Both opted for a change of manager, is it a gamble? Speaking to

:35:31. > :35:34.Charlton fans before the game. They are not quite sure what they are

:35:35. > :35:39.going to get. He made one or two changes. On the day, the way the

:35:40. > :35:42.game was going. They made sense. There is something to go on there.

:35:43. > :35:52.Well done to Jordan Rhodes, a hat-trick for him. It takes him to

:35:53. > :35:56.the 20 goal mark. You expect them to be battling for the play-offs. It

:35:57. > :36:00.shows you his goals have been valuable to get them where they are

:36:01. > :36:04.at the minute? Absolutely. 26, 27 last year. They weren't able to make

:36:05. > :36:08.a mark in the Championship. It will be a case of more of the same this

:36:09. > :36:12.year. It's a little bit of a shame. When you have one like that. That is

:36:13. > :36:15.the hardest onjob for your team, to find someone to put the ball in the

:36:16. > :36:19.back of the net. In the Championship that gets you in the play-offs

:36:20. > :36:23.because you normally most teams are quite even. It's quite tight. You

:36:24. > :36:29.have a match winner there. They have been enable to turn those goals into

:36:30. > :36:35.a play-off push at this stage. Well done to Pepe he turned around

:36:36. > :36:40.Watford. No doubt about the game of the day in League One as second took

:36:41. > :36:44.on third Leyton Orient up against Brentford lying a point behind with

:36:45. > :36:51.two games in hand. Russell Slade made one change. Lisbie came in from

:36:52. > :36:57.Chris Dagnall. Warburton made two changes. Trotter aiming to end a six

:36:58. > :37:14.week goal drought. COMMENTATOR: Mooney wants it. Cox

:37:15. > :37:17.goes on himself. Oh, what a hit! Cox can produce spectacular moments and

:37:18. > :37:25.stunning goals. Nine so far this season. This was not far away from

:37:26. > :37:31.Number Ten. The team everyone said would fall away, fade away, they

:37:32. > :37:40.haven't. A little long. Met by Scott gut Bert to Leyton Orient. James

:37:41. > :37:49.Tarkowski. Yellow card for the centre-back. He had gone before the

:37:50. > :37:54.challenge came flying in. -- the ball had gone before the challenge

:37:55. > :38:05.came flying in. Into Lisbie. A little touch here for Cox! Lovely

:38:06. > :38:18.one-touch football. Lisbie's touch was brilliant. Cox with the drive

:38:19. > :38:27.bye got the best from Button. Forshaw caught. Tempers are flowing

:38:28. > :38:34.over big time. Referee has to step in. Looks to see who is the chief

:38:35. > :38:39.protagonists. Here is that flashpoint again. Sawyer goes in to

:38:40. > :38:57.retrieve the ball. It all kicks off. Trotter, forehad you, Trotter!

:38:58. > :39:05.Bottom corner found. Brentford lead. Trotta took aim. It minds a way past

:39:06. > :39:12.Jakupovic. The Bees have struck first in first half additional time.

:39:13. > :39:18.Trotta, first time. Accuracy unairing. In this three-way fight,

:39:19. > :39:25.Brentford have taken some degree of control.

:39:26. > :39:34.Here's Tarkowski. Yellow card here to Tarkowski. It could be his

:39:35. > :39:46.second. It is his second. The Bees are down to 10. Clumsy. Awkward,

:39:47. > :39:53.Costly. Maybe a major moment here in the game for Brentford. Off balance.

:39:54. > :40:00.He made two fouls since the yellow card. This was well worth a second

:40:01. > :40:10.yellow. He's off. He's gone. He's history. Up goes Mooney, Cox.

:40:11. > :40:18.There's a foul here. By Forshaw this time.

:40:19. > :40:27.Tempers, in the second-half, near or at boiling point. Cox, can make the

:40:28. > :40:36.dead ball sing for him. Up comes Cox, hits the wall. Cox again.

:40:37. > :40:42.James. Here's Nathan Clarke. The Mooney, away from goal by the head

:40:43. > :40:47.of McCormack. The free-kick was blocked away. James back in.

:40:48. > :40:49.McCormack, in the right place, to get this clear, for now at least,

:40:50. > :41:10.for Brentford. Saville, and Saville again. He's

:41:11. > :41:21.gone down. Again, he appeals. The elf are reel decides it's OK. It was

:41:22. > :41:25.a shirt pull in the box that went unpunished. Nathan Clarke on

:41:26. > :41:31.Saville. Look at the contact there. The referee decides no penalty. Greg

:41:32. > :41:41.Dyke, the former Brentford Chairman, now with the FA top job.

:41:42. > :41:52.Mooney, blocked by Dean. Here is Cox, back in looking for Lisbie.

:41:53. > :41:59.Button, with his legs, make as terrific save for Brentford. It

:42:00. > :42:09.stays 1-0, but only just. The best chance of the match. Cox, back

:42:10. > :42:22.across. Too high for Lisbie. O's faces.

:42:23. > :42:39.it is a corner ball. A very cheap corn are given away by the home

:42:40. > :42:45.team. It is kept out somehow, I am not entirely sure how. The

:42:46. > :43:09.goalkeeper got it off his fists. It was just a foot or so wide of the

:43:10. > :43:23.far post from Chris Dagnall. A rare chance later in the day. McCormick

:43:24. > :43:36.on the line away. Leyton Orient cannot find a way through as yet.

:43:37. > :43:44.The appeals are long and loud. The referee is unconvinced. It was a

:43:45. > :44:09.tangle. Alan Judge, against the post. Alan

:44:10. > :44:19.Judge could have sealed the deal. And the whistle goes. That was

:44:20. > :44:27.massive for Brentford. They overtake Leyton Orient and have two games in

:44:28. > :44:32.hand. A London derby, East versus West, second versus third, but the

:44:33. > :44:39.boys were aware of the importance of the match. It has gone and we are

:44:40. > :44:42.disappointed with the result. But it is not finished here. They

:44:43. > :44:50.celebrated like they won the FA Cup, but it is not finished.

:44:51. > :45:00.Was it over exuberance in their celebrations? It was a big game. But

:45:01. > :45:06.they will feel that they justly earned the right. It was a huge win.

:45:07. > :45:13.It was massive, it puts them in the driving seat. It is a fantastic win.

:45:14. > :45:19.Particularly with ten men. Let's have a look at two contentious

:45:20. > :45:27.issues. Both sides had a shout for a penalty. , yes I think that one is.

:45:28. > :45:35.Nathan Clarke has got his hands on George Savile. He almost spins him

:45:36. > :45:41.around. It is a good tackle for me. I know there are bodies and legs

:45:42. > :45:50.everywhere, but George Savile manoeuvres himself around. He gets

:45:51. > :45:54.the ball. They managed to clear. I think the referee was in the perfect

:45:55. > :46:05.position and he made the right decision. Are Brentford there to

:46:06. > :46:10.stay? They are still in the seat. League leaders Wolves game for a

:46:11. > :46:26.10th consecutive win at home to struggling Shrews buried.

:46:27. > :46:33.David McAllister was inches away from connecting with a cross. They

:46:34. > :46:37.threatened to throw the form book out of the window. Early in the

:46:38. > :46:47.second half the Shrews went close again. But it was Wolves who bossed

:46:48. > :46:58.the last half hour. They threatened to extend their impressive league

:46:59. > :47:04.run of nine consecutive victories. The Shrewsbury keeper got there just

:47:05. > :47:08.ahead of Leon client. It was a frustrating day and their site was

:47:09. > :47:13.excellent and they caused as a lot of problems. We did not have our

:47:14. > :47:21.shooting boots on today. Although we are not happy with it, we will take

:47:22. > :47:27.our point and move on. Coming and play against a side like that, I

:47:28. > :47:31.think it is a good point. To come here and get the point where we are

:47:32. > :47:39.and where they are, it is a good result for us. Walsall started like

:47:40. > :47:44.a side desperate to keep their hopes alive against Rotherham. The

:47:45. > :47:49.Saddlers opened the scoring. You would not have thought the Chelsea

:47:50. > :48:00.Loney would have failed to find the net. But they were having an off day

:48:01. > :48:09.in front of goal. But the home side cause was aided when an opposite

:48:10. > :48:23.player was sent off. Now with a man advantage, the masters of the late

:48:24. > :48:31.show grabbed a point. They extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches.

:48:32. > :48:35.Peterborough made the short trip to MK Dons for a game of real

:48:36. > :48:56.significance. Only three points separated the clubs. It is his goals

:48:57. > :49:08.that have kept the team in the top six. The Porsche were sent on their

:49:09. > :49:13.way to a vital victory. Minutes later he had a second from the

:49:14. > :49:21.penalty spot. Connor Washington was brought down inside the area. It was

:49:22. > :49:26.left to Peterborough's leading scorer to secure the victory. He has

:49:27. > :49:39.now hit 27 in all competitions. The home side response saw McLeod go

:49:40. > :49:44.close. Good, professional performers. A thoroughly deserved

:49:45. > :49:49.victory. We felt we should have won by more. But to go away from home

:49:50. > :49:55.with a clean sheet and two goals, it was a fresh performance. They were

:49:56. > :50:01.on the front foot and they had players who could take their chances

:50:02. > :50:04.when they came along. Bristol City and Swindon produced five goals and

:50:05. > :50:12.some terrific entertainment when they met in September. But after

:50:13. > :50:17.Thomas hit the upright for Bristol Suttie and then Cunningham fired the

:50:18. > :50:21.loose ball wide, this game failed to catch fire. Bristol City were

:50:22. > :50:24.chasing a fourth consecutive league win but were unable to take

:50:25. > :50:31.advantage of Swindon being reduced to ten men. The dismissal of

:50:32. > :50:37.Prichard for a push on Wade Elliott brought the first red card of his

:50:38. > :50:42.young career. His side has just picked up four points in the last

:50:43. > :50:48.seven matches. We deserve the three points today. Nice to get a clean

:50:49. > :50:54.sheet. We did not score against Sheffield United and we have not

:50:55. > :50:59.scored today when we deserved to. That extensive Bristol City's

:51:00. > :51:03.unbeaten run. It will be a frustrating into the campaign for

:51:04. > :51:08.the Robins. For Peterborough they are back to winning ways after a

:51:09. > :51:17.week to forget for Darren Ferguson. Two more goals from this man. It was

:51:18. > :51:23.a big win. It was. They are only dashed the only ones in the top six

:51:24. > :51:28.who are vulnerable. If they win a game in hand and they are nine

:51:29. > :51:36.clear, there is only one fly in the ointment for them and that is

:51:37. > :51:41.Sheffield United. The way they are going... You would not bet against

:51:42. > :51:47.them. Wolves versus Shrewsbury was the coupon buster. They were

:51:48. > :51:53.predicting how many goals they would get that Molyneux. It never ever

:51:54. > :51:56.works out like that. They set out with a game plan to make themselves

:51:57. > :52:02.tough to beat and that is what they were. That was a for all of us. It

:52:03. > :52:10.gives them great hope, Shrews buried. If you go to Wolves and feel

:52:11. > :52:13.you can get a result, that will reinforce the thought that they can

:52:14. > :52:19.go anywhere and they are good enough to get something. Maybe tinker with

:52:20. > :52:25.the formation because of the opposition and maybe it works and it

:52:26. > :52:29.was a way forward for them. We round up the rest of the action starting

:52:30. > :52:35.at Valley Parade as Bradford city met and improving drilling. There is

:52:36. > :52:39.nothing to separate Bradford Angele in the League 1 table and there was

:52:40. > :52:47.nothing to choose between them today. Bradford opened the scoring

:52:48. > :52:56.with Maclean. Phil Parkinson's side were dominating and tried to kill

:52:57. > :53:16.the game off after the break. But the deals hit back. Cody McDonald

:53:17. > :53:25.landed his 14th goal of the season. It was a deserved share of the

:53:26. > :53:30.spoils. Crawley had lost just one of their previous nine in the league.

:53:31. > :53:39.John Gregor's return to management looks to be working out. Jones

:53:40. > :53:42.finished it off. This is called Chester's six successive season in

:53:43. > :53:57.this division, but they are far from safe. -- Colchester. Colchester

:53:58. > :54:03.continued to apply the pressure. Dave Wright and Morrison had efforts

:54:04. > :54:10.on the goal blocked. Defeat leaves them only two points clear of the

:54:11. > :54:14.bottom four. Gary Harkins enjoyed a splendid match in Oldham's midweek

:54:15. > :54:18.defeat at the hands of Rotherham and once again he seemed to be in the

:54:19. > :54:26.mood as he fired his side in front. And he is fired the move on the

:54:27. > :54:31.left. The home keeper Ben Garrett was relieved to make the save. Crew

:54:32. > :54:38.have lost just two of their last games at home. Davies headed a

:54:39. > :54:45.massive equaliser deep into overtime. Carlisle were left

:54:46. > :54:54.frustrated against a Stevenage side also battling to beat the drop.

:54:55. > :55:05.Carlisle saw Lee Miller go agonisingly wide. Stevenage stay in

:55:06. > :55:11.the relegation zone. Carlisle are without a win in five. That was a

:55:12. > :55:17.great performance, I thought we had everything bar the goal. We took the

:55:18. > :55:24.game to the opposition and created loads of chapters, but we could not

:55:25. > :55:27.put the ball in. Notts County manager Shaun Derry described this

:55:28. > :55:32.fixture as one of the most important in the club's history. Tranmere went

:55:33. > :55:39.into the game also in the bottom four. County took the early

:55:40. > :55:48.initiative. Less than quarter of an hour play. Jason Coomber has got the

:55:49. > :56:02.equaliser. You have to go back to April, 2011, for the last time he

:56:03. > :56:07.found the net. It was one more telling contribution on a day of

:56:08. > :56:16.high drama. Taylor gave away a penalty. But the spot kick was

:56:17. > :56:24.saved. They could ill afford this setback. She handed the tone for his

:56:25. > :56:29.earlier error with a set piece special. The free kick was perfectly

:56:30. > :56:36.placed. But county have suffered the most defeat in the league and they

:56:37. > :56:40.were beaten again. Steve Jennings with a wonderful strike. They leave

:56:41. > :56:48.County seven points adrift of safety.

:56:49. > :56:57.Some great goals in what was a huge win for Tranmere. Steve Jennings,

:56:58. > :57:02.what a winner from him. It makes it a bit special when you see a go of

:57:03. > :57:08.that magnitude in a game like that. An extra special strike. It takes

:57:09. > :57:15.them out of the bottom four, but consigned Notts County to the bottom

:57:16. > :57:20.of the lake. For Tranmere, 19goals from the boot

:57:21. > :57:26.of Ryan Lowe, without those goals where would they be? He has been a

:57:27. > :57:31.goalscorer now from... I was going to say broke onto the scene. He was

:57:32. > :57:36.32. One of the top-scorers at the league. He has carried that on. Been

:57:37. > :57:41.fantastic. You will not lose that. He doesn't rely on pace. He has that

:57:42. > :57:45.art, that anticipation of when the ball comes in the box where to be.

:57:46. > :57:51.He will not lose that. Tranmere are up a couple of places. Colchester

:57:52. > :57:56.are on the slide, one win in nine. They have got stage fright in front

:57:57. > :58:00.of goal at the worse possible time. From what we're being told. Two

:58:01. > :58:05.shots in their last game and no shots on target this time. This is

:58:06. > :58:09.the worst part of the season, time of the season. To hit that sort of

:58:10. > :58:15.form. They are half way up the table when we last spoke about them. We

:58:16. > :58:19.say what a good job Joe was doing. I go up to 17th, the position they are

:58:20. > :58:23.in, to say from there downwards you are in real serious problems. It's

:58:24. > :58:28.about mental strength at this point of season, isn't it? Absolutely.

:58:29. > :58:32.It's about having bhaef. Sitting in the dressing room and believing -

:58:33. > :58:39.Have you been in that position? Plenty of times. You look at players

:58:40. > :58:44.and say, I'm with him, I'm with him, I fear for him? No, as a unit, 10

:58:45. > :58:49.games from the end of the season we can tell whether we are in trouble

:58:50. > :58:56.or we are OK. That is irrelevant on what position you are in. Burton are

:58:57. > :59:02.on track to go one better they went to Saturday's match against

:59:03. > :59:04.Wimbledon one point off the automatic promotion places. Clem

:59:05. > :59:19.takes up the story. Burton Albion have watched other

:59:20. > :59:23.teams follow them out of non-league football. Then bound straight up

:59:24. > :59:29.into League One in consecutive seasons. But, their own recent

:59:30. > :59:36.history suggests they prefer a period of acloy ma advertisation. --

:59:37. > :59:40.they spent several years bobbing about at the toof the Conference

:59:41. > :59:47.before sealing their place in the Football League in 2009. Having

:59:48. > :59:52.finished fourth last May but losing to brat ford City despite winning

:59:53. > :59:58.the first leg, could this be their breakthrough season. If it is it

:59:59. > :00:05.might come down to a an unusual pre-match ritual.

:00:06. > :00:13.There we go. The Chairman needs to know this is the only time we play

:00:14. > :00:18.is before a game. It's our pre-match ritual. Yeah.

:00:19. > :00:28.Not good. What have you got? 64. 64! I'd like to think, as bad as I am at

:00:29. > :00:34.darts, I'm all right under pressure. I think I have enough in the locker.

:00:35. > :00:37.OK. We are trying to do things properly. The why can't you run a

:00:38. > :00:42.League Two team like a Premier League team? Why can't you aspire to

:00:43. > :00:46.do all the things right, whether it's sport science, the stats on the

:00:47. > :00:56.games, whether it is the coaching. You know, why not? The Chairman is

:00:57. > :01:00.brilliant. You know, again we train at St George's Park as well for a

:01:01. > :01:05.League Two club. We aspire for a little bit more. What we have here

:01:06. > :01:11.is almost unique at this level. No debt. It has been a gradual process

:01:12. > :01:14.as I said when we met before, 10 years of Nigel Clough was

:01:15. > :01:18.tremendous. That set the framework to make this club the club it is

:01:19. > :01:26.today. We have a great manager in Gary. First season as a manager.

:01:27. > :01:32.Semi-final play-offs. Looking good. They have a tremendous following.

:01:33. > :01:38.That make as big difference in terms of gate receipts. Having got

:01:39. > :01:42.ourselves into a similar position to last year, I feel that the players

:01:43. > :01:46.will not be enough for us as staff and as players. If that is where we

:01:47. > :01:55.end up, it won't be seen as a bad season. We want a little bit more.

:01:56. > :01:59.COMMENTATOR: The Brewers lost two of 20. Wimbledon have a habit of losing

:02:00. > :02:11.the first goal. That happened for the 25th time this season when

:02:12. > :02:16.Bennett tripped Dominic Knowles. Kee got his fourth successful penalty of

:02:17. > :02:24.the season. Burton rarely finish teams off. Seven much their last 10

:02:25. > :02:31.wins have been 1-0. This shot was kept out by Worner. Wornr was a busy

:02:32. > :02:36.man. This free-kick required a are mo than smart save. The drama came

:02:37. > :02:43.when the fourth official showed five additional minutes. That came and

:02:44. > :02:49.went. Frampton hit -- Francomb hit the post. The clock read 90 plus 8

:02:50. > :02:55.when Francomb's corner fell to Darren Jones. What a time to get his

:02:56. > :03:03.first goal for the club. Burton left feeling very sore.

:03:04. > :03:11.It hurts, doesn't it? Absolutely, it hurts. Absolutely. We have conceded

:03:12. > :03:15.in I think the seven-minutes and 20 seconds when five minutes have gone

:03:16. > :03:21.up on the clock. Disappointed with that. Why not put six minutes on the

:03:22. > :03:25.clock. Why not put seven-minutes if that is how long we will play. I

:03:26. > :03:30.will have to get my timer out and see whether I was right or whether I

:03:31. > :03:35.overreacted. Disappointed. You work so hard this season and to be done

:03:36. > :03:42.by a goal in the last kick of the game to stop us taking three points

:03:43. > :03:45.is gut wrenching for us. Hugely frustrating afternoon. The Burton

:03:46. > :03:49.are still there or there abouts for challenging for the top three. You

:03:50. > :03:52.were with him at Cambridge. What do you make of the job he has done

:03:53. > :03:55.considering the players he lost in the summer? I think he has done an

:03:56. > :04:03.excellent job. He turned around the style of play. They were

:04:04. > :04:07.free-scoring last year. All of a sudden you lose three scoring

:04:08. > :04:11.players. We know they don't score as many goals this season. They have

:04:12. > :04:14.tightened up, conceded 16 or 17 less, which enabled them to win

:04:15. > :04:18.games of football. You have to play to the strengths that the players

:04:19. > :04:21.that you have. He has got that. He has had to find out what they are

:04:22. > :04:25.and work to that formula. He has done it very well. He said before

:04:26. > :04:29.today's game he needs six wins out of the last 10 reach the top three.

:04:30. > :04:33.I suppose now it's six wins out of the last nine, can they do it? They

:04:34. > :04:36.can do it. He is probably about right. They are three, four, and

:04:37. > :04:45.five points behind. Rochdale have a game in hand. They might be at best

:04:46. > :04:49.four points behind. Goal difference, add another point on top of that.

:04:50. > :04:53.They are up against it in a way. If they get that amount of wins, six

:04:54. > :04:59.out of nine, I would imagine that should give them an automatic spot.

:05:00. > :05:03.More from League Two now, a 1-1 draw at Wimbledon on Tuesday night kept

:05:04. > :05:06.Chesterfield on top of the table. Oxford, who have been slipping up of

:05:07. > :05:21.late, were next up for the spire riots. Chesterfield required a

:05:22. > :05:24.convincing victory to reaffirm their title credentials. The home fans

:05:25. > :05:29.were on their feet. Banks found the net. After three games without a

:05:30. > :05:35.win, just the tonic they required. There was more trouble in store for

:05:36. > :05:40.Oxford. Smalley deemed to have shoved this player to the fall.

:05:41. > :05:52.Roberts increased the Spireites' advantage. 2-0 is how it stayed

:05:53. > :05:56.until the final 10 minutes. The defend was facing a spell on the

:05:57. > :06:04.sidelines after this tackle. Before he finished running the bath.

:06:05. > :06:12.Another Ewes playerser was on his way back to the players room. Oxford

:06:13. > :06:22.finished the match with 8-men's after Mullins departed on a stretch

:06:23. > :06:31.oar. -- stretcher. Roberts scored for them right at the end.

:06:32. > :06:43.Plymouth improving, Scunthorpe unbeaten for a club record 20 games.

:06:44. > :06:50.It made for a quality contest. Sheridan's team chased a fifth win

:06:51. > :07:00.in six. This header was nodded in towards their own-goal. The best

:07:01. > :07:07.chance of a breakthrough came from the home side. Parsons fed off

:07:08. > :07:18.Reid's run. They went close, not once, but twice. Then came the

:07:19. > :07:23.sucker-punch. Nolan's run on cross. Sire De Grugy got his tenth goal of

:07:24. > :07:35.the season with 11 minutes to play. Plymouth's response was immediate.

:07:36. > :07:41.Time was running out the shadows lengthing Plymouth knew their luck

:07:42. > :07:49.was out in the final minute. This shot was deflected into the back of

:07:50. > :07:54.the goal and crept in. Scunthorpe's unbeaten run conditions. --

:07:55. > :07:59.continues. Go Rochdale boss Keith Hill made four changes after the

:08:00. > :08:04.shock defeat at bottom club Torquay. After this shot was kept out by the

:08:05. > :08:08.keep their promotion prospects looked on the point of taking

:08:09. > :08:16.another knock-back. The side with the best home record in League Two

:08:17. > :08:20.failed to deal with the corn before Mingoia put Stanley in front 18

:08:21. > :08:26.minutes from time. Rochdale were in trouble again. It looked grim after

:08:27. > :08:35.this close-range finish was ruled out for offside. A tight call. They

:08:36. > :08:42.were to get a slice of luck. This clearance striking Lund and flying

:08:43. > :08:52.into the net. This header came back off Bettinelli and Matthew Lund

:08:53. > :08:59.turned the loose ball home. Portsmouth's defence was all at sea

:09:00. > :09:12.after this shot led them to a comfortable win. Pompey were soon to

:09:13. > :09:21.be breached against as they were given this gift, Sarcevic smashed in

:09:22. > :09:24.the penalty to make it 2-0. The Charlie Taylor did the damage

:09:25. > :09:29.through midfield. After he was denied by Carson, Schumacher should

:09:30. > :09:34.have done better. Let didn't have to wait too long before getting a

:09:35. > :09:40.third. Portsmouth defence failed to deal with the set-piece. Matt got

:09:41. > :09:45.his third goal in as many games in the scramble. They may have lacked

:09:46. > :09:51.substance, but they finished in style. Wallace had this long-range

:09:52. > :10:00.effort. It failed to inspire the comeback. The Fleetwood are now up

:10:01. > :10:07.to fourth. Southend's play-off hopes resulted in 11 win matches. Bury

:10:08. > :10:29.went close. This was 0-0. Scruffy and scrappy.

:10:30. > :10:35.It never got going. They earned and deserved the point today. It's

:10:36. > :10:38.barely Morris than a couple of months since York were worrying

:10:39. > :10:46.about their league future as much as Wycombe. This challenge on Carson

:10:47. > :10:52.allowed Bowman to give their play-off hopes another boost.

:10:53. > :10:57.Wickham found their feet. Togwell close to a decisive touch on his

:10:58. > :11:05.debut. Just as they were looking forward to the respite of half-time,

:11:06. > :11:10.Carson got the killer blow. York manage claimed to see this match as

:11:11. > :11:15.a chance to guarantee survival. With City now outside the top seven only

:11:16. > :11:23.on goal difference. Craig had the chance to chip away at that. Unable

:11:24. > :11:27.to convert the rebound. Wickham too close to the bottom of comfort.

:11:28. > :11:33.Togwell's first appearance ended prematurely. Late on Russell Penn

:11:34. > :11:39.pen to ensure an early return to the dressing room.

:11:40. > :11:46.Hartlepool signalled their intentions within two minutes of the

:11:47. > :11:52.kick nauf thank to this corner who set up Harewood to score his second

:11:53. > :11:57.goal at Victoria Park. Brad Walker made it 2-0 after 16 minutes. Any

:11:58. > :12:01.thought for Rovers could find a way back disappeared early in the

:12:02. > :12:10.second-half when Tony Parkes fouled Harewood and conceded a penalty.

:12:11. > :12:17.Walton made it 3-0. Rovers almost made United pay for creeping

:12:18. > :12:21.complacency late on. Flynneders' legs kept out this header. This

:12:22. > :12:26.follow-up was only just scrambled away. Beardsley peat basically

:12:27. > :12:32.Flinders, but not the frame of the goal. That was the closest they came

:12:33. > :12:43.to scoring. Those chances geed up the home side for one final push.

:12:44. > :12:58.James' persistence paid off. They scored through Franks they are now

:12:59. > :13:02.three places off the play-offs. Torquay looked to follow up their

:13:03. > :13:09.shock win over Rochdale, but they could not do it.

:13:10. > :13:23.A late try Brown header was just too high. But it looks desperate now for

:13:24. > :13:27.Torquay. Dagenham's on loan Luke Norris brought the best out of the

:13:28. > :13:34.goalkeeper Barry Roach as the home side enjoyed the best of the opening

:13:35. > :13:38.chapters. A poor clearance was almost spectacularly converted. The

:13:39. > :13:48.Daggers have failed to score in six league games this season. The match

:13:49. > :13:55.took a controversial twist. Even Wayne Burnett admitted afterwards

:13:56. > :14:04.they were lucky to get a penalty. But Medy Elito kept a cool head. A

:14:05. > :14:08.cool head with moves to match. Morecambe clearly felt aggrieved by

:14:09. > :14:15.the decision and pressed for an equaliser. Morecambe deserved an

:14:16. > :14:19.equaliser and they got it in the final minute of normal time as Mark

:14:20. > :14:32.Hughes knocked in his fourth of the season. It is over two months since

:14:33. > :14:45.Mansfield one on the road. Oliver Palmer scored back in August. Chris

:14:46. > :14:56.Wylde has given the cobbler 's real resolve. There was a straight red

:14:57. > :15:00.card. Darren Carter once scored the winning penalty for Birmingham in

:15:01. > :15:08.the play-off final. The perfect go to man for this job. There could

:15:09. > :15:15.have been a winner. Chris Hackett could not convert the cross. Perhaps

:15:16. > :15:16.two points dropped for Northampton. Northampton are unbeaten in six and

:15:17. > :15:28.still fighting Russell Cox amazingly yet to lose a

:15:29. > :15:35.game since he took charge on Christmas Eve. But one side on the

:15:36. > :15:47.slide is Oxford. Ever since Chris Wilder left it has not quite gone to

:15:48. > :15:53.plan. Lewis has been there long enough to either make him permanent

:15:54. > :15:56.manager or bring someone else in. There is a degree of uncertainty

:15:57. > :16:01.within the club and the players and the players down as a whole because

:16:02. > :16:06.when somebody continues to be a caretaker manager and no decision is

:16:07. > :16:11.being made. You have got Oxford on the slide and south end. But one

:16:12. > :16:17.team that is looking to capitalise is York city. They survived a

:16:18. > :16:23.dramatic final day last season and they are the division's form team of

:16:24. > :16:29.2014 and they have 14 in a row. And for the majority of the season it

:16:30. > :16:34.has been very much a look at the other end of the table. They were in

:16:35. > :16:38.a bit of trouble early on in the season, so it shows how quickly

:16:39. > :16:44.things can turn around in this division. It has coincided with

:16:45. > :16:48.Oxford in sixth and Southend in seventh. All of a sudden it has

:16:49. > :16:55.constituted up and they have given themselves and opportunity. Now they

:16:56. > :17:25.can certainly look upwards. Let's have a look at the tables.

:17:26. > :17:29.The only side in the bottom half to win was Sheffield Wednesday against

:17:30. > :17:54.Birmingham. It was a bad day for Notts County.

:17:55. > :18:00.They are seven points adrift of safety. Despite drawing Stevenage

:18:01. > :18:11.dropped back into the relegation zone. There was no change in the

:18:12. > :18:16.automatic promotion places. Fleetwood was the only side in the

:18:17. > :18:18.play-off places to taste victory. None of the clubs in the bottom half

:18:19. > :18:35.managed to win. That is it from us. Match of the day

:18:36. > :18:44.two rounds up the best of the action. Late kick-off returns on

:18:45. > :18:50.Monday at 11:20pm with the best of the footballing action from your

:18:51. > :18:52.region. Thank you very much for your company. Have a great week. Good

:18:53. > :19:00.night.
