:00:34. > :00:38.Evening. Welcome along to the best from the Sky Bet Football League.

:00:39. > :00:41.And it's been another grim week for managers. Tonight, Barnsley's David

:00:42. > :00:43.Flitcroft became the week's fourth casualty, following Guy Whittingham,

:00:44. > :00:49.Ritchie Barker and Sean O'Driscoll, who left Portsmouth, Crawley and

:00:50. > :00:52.Bristol City respectively. On a lighter note though in midweek, we

:00:53. > :00:56.did see a real contender for miss of the season, with Gillingham's Adam

:00:57. > :01:00.Barrett the right man at the wrong end. It's the kind of chance Steve

:01:01. > :01:04.Claridge would've buried with his eyes closed - with the help of his

:01:05. > :01:08.shin. Here's what's in store for you tonight.

:01:09. > :01:14.Despite drawing their third match in a row at Forest, Burnley went into

:01:15. > :01:16.the weekend top of the table. Today Sean Dyche's side crossed the

:01:17. > :01:22.Pennines to meet Mark Robins' Huddersfield Town. We've the best of

:01:23. > :01:32.the action from the south coast derby as Bournemouth took on a

:01:33. > :01:37.rapidly improving Brighton. Here is the lifeblood of his club, the sort

:01:38. > :01:42.of character football cannot do without. We are Oakwell as Barnsley

:01:43. > :01:48.entertain Birmingham City and celebrate the 90th birthday of club

:01:49. > :01:52.legend Norman Rimmington. And as ever we've all the goals and plenty

:01:53. > :01:56.of talking points from the final round of games of November. First to

:01:57. > :02:00.the Championship leaders Burnley, who were one of only two teams in

:02:01. > :02:04.the division to have lost just one league game this season - with QPR

:02:05. > :02:08.being the other. Today, Sean Dyche's side were at Huddersfield - a side

:02:09. > :02:10.full of confidence on the back of their derby win at Sheffield

:02:11. > :02:12.Wednesday last week. Your commentator at the John Smith's

:02:13. > :02:24.Stadium is John Roder. 3500 Burnley fans have made the trip

:02:25. > :02:28.to Yorkshire. Huddersfield are buoyant mood after their victory at

:02:29. > :02:33.Sheffield Wednesday. Mark Robins names the same side that started

:02:34. > :02:36.last weekend's win, so Paterson, who scored the opening goal at

:02:37. > :02:40.Hillsborough, faces the team he left in the summer, having spent five

:02:41. > :02:45.years at Turf Moor. James Vaughan has 11 goals already this season. He

:02:46. > :02:52.got 14 last season including in 1-0 win at in February. Burnley are also

:02:53. > :02:56.unchanged. 24 goals between them so far this season for Sam Vokes and

:02:57. > :02:58.Danny Ings. Scott Arfield returns to Huddersfield for the first time

:02:59. > :03:04.since leaving the summer after three years here. Jason Shackell and

:03:05. > :03:05.Kieran Trippier both played under Huddersfield boss Mark Robins at

:03:06. > :03:46.Barnsley. James Vaughan, a spectacular shot

:03:47. > :03:47.and an excellent save. Beaten at full stretch to push that one away

:03:48. > :04:16.to safety. -- Heaton. Just blocked by Heaton. It is a

:04:17. > :04:21.lovely chest down and Heaton spreads his body wide to just make the block

:04:22. > :04:29.as James Vaughan comes in towards goal.

:04:30. > :04:36.James Vaughan again pointing to where he wants the ball directed.

:04:37. > :04:41.Was that hand ball? It was certainly looking pretty close. Shackell with

:04:42. > :04:47.the touch with his foot and Bennett at it appeared to strike his hand --

:04:48. > :04:52.and then it did appear to strike his hand. The referee said no penalty.

:04:53. > :04:57.To be fair, not too much in the way of appeals from the Huddersfield

:04:58. > :05:06.players. Paterson, off the post. Here is James Vaughan. Can he get a

:05:07. > :05:12.shot away? It has been an excellent start from Huddersfield Town.

:05:13. > :05:19.This is the closest we have come to a goal in the opening exchanges.

:05:20. > :05:22.Paterson with the header. This time Heaton can't get there. It is off

:05:23. > :05:45.the post and away. It is James Vaughan arriving. Given

:05:46. > :05:50.his goal-scoring prowess, there are surely plenty here in Huddersfield

:05:51. > :05:52.this afternoon. You would have put a considerable sum of money on James

:05:53. > :06:04.Vaughan putting that in for the opening goal.

:06:05. > :06:13.The decision goes Huddersfield's way.

:06:14. > :06:24.It is a very crowded penalty area. A different route taken by

:06:25. > :06:27.Huddersfield. Oh, my word! Oliver Norwood! With the simply outstanding

:06:28. > :06:56.goal. That was 100% quality. His face does

:06:57. > :06:58.not betrayed too much in the way of emotions, Mark Robins, but I am sure

:06:59. > :07:11.he must be absolutely thrilled. Appeals for hand ball. It came off

:07:12. > :07:20.the chest of dust but the assistant has given it, it is a penalty kick!

:07:21. > :07:27.The ball striking Duff off his chest and down his arm, it looks like, and

:07:28. > :07:37.the assistant on this nearside with the flag to indicate a penalty kick.

:07:38. > :07:42.My yellow card as well for Michael Duff.

:07:43. > :07:58.He slides it in past Heaton. It is a dozen for the season now. The

:07:59. > :08:36.Huddersfield hotshot. What a save! From Smithies. It

:08:37. > :08:41.denies Burnley a certain goal, absolutely brilliant from the

:08:42. > :08:43.Huddersfield goalkeeper. It should, you would have thought, have been

:08:44. > :09:07.2-1. 2-1, Sam Vokes. But it will not

:09:08. > :09:12.count, the flag is up on the far side. It is a yellow card as well to

:09:13. > :09:24.add insult to injury. Played out wide to Stanislas and the

:09:25. > :09:29.flag is raised against the Burnley striker, who thought he had brought

:09:30. > :09:32.his side back into this match. Sean Dyche and Burnley are beginning to

:09:33. > :09:40.feel that today might not be their day.

:09:41. > :09:52.Has he got the speed and the finish? Yes, he has! Burnley are back in it.

:09:53. > :10:03.Goal number 15 of the season for Danny Ings. With just over six

:10:04. > :10:05.minutes plus stoppage time remaining, Burnley have a chance of

:10:06. > :10:18.getting something from this match. That is a foul on James Vaughan by

:10:19. > :10:22.Michael Duff and he knows what is going to happen. It is a yellow

:10:23. > :10:31.card. It is his second of the match and Burnley will end the game with

:10:32. > :10:37.ten men. Michael Duff knew that James Vaughan would be away and it

:10:38. > :10:42.would be one on one against Heaton. It is a clear foul, a second yellow

:10:43. > :10:50.and Duff is sent off with just a couple of minutes remaining.

:10:51. > :10:55.Regardless of anything that comes our way because there was a bit of

:10:56. > :10:58.fortune to getting the penalty, I am sure, regardless of that, I thought

:10:59. > :11:02.we were outstanding and even though we lost the game today I would have

:11:03. > :11:06.been pleased because we were excellent from start to finish. You

:11:07. > :11:10.have just been indices the referee, presumably about the awarding of the

:11:11. > :11:16.penalty which turned the match? Yes, two things, the Corner, which is not

:11:17. > :11:22.a corner, which is neither here nor there. That is for the first goal. I

:11:23. > :11:26.asked why he had given that, you can see it and the linesman did not help

:11:27. > :11:29.him with that. Then the penalties, well, there is no point in me

:11:30. > :11:33.mentioning it, people will see it and it speaks for itself. I will

:11:34. > :11:36.only get myself in trouble. It is fair to say that when people see it

:11:37. > :11:42.I think they will imagine how frustrated I am. A fantastic first

:11:43. > :11:47.goal from Oliver Norwood, it was perfect, wasn't it? He has hit it

:11:48. > :11:50.brilliantly. He has been shooting really well. That was a part of his

:11:51. > :11:54.game he has been working on and fair play to him, he has a couple of

:11:55. > :12:00.goals recently and that was outstanding. Living in Burnley he

:12:01. > :12:05.will make -- he will need to make sure his windows safe tonight! An

:12:06. > :12:10.interesting afternoon for the Burnley born Oliver Norwood. Burnley

:12:11. > :12:15.fans will look at the key decisions by the referees, but chances alone,

:12:16. > :12:18.Huddersfield were hugely impressive? Yes, quite similar back-to-back

:12:19. > :12:23.victories. Very good for an hour. I would not say holding on, clinging

:12:24. > :12:26.on, but the opposition scored and it was a case of seeing the game out,

:12:27. > :12:31.which they have done on both occasions. As you said one or two

:12:32. > :12:35.controversial decisions. It did not go for Burnley in the main but

:12:36. > :12:40.overall probably the right result. Lets get your take on a couple of

:12:41. > :12:45.them. The Michael Duff hand ball. What hand ball? You look at the

:12:46. > :12:51.referee and he can't see this because this hits supposedly Duff on

:12:52. > :12:55.the left-hand side of his body but the referee is on the right-hand

:12:56. > :13:00.side. It the linesman that gets the clear view of this and he is the one

:13:01. > :13:05.who gets that in the next run. Clearly it is not a hand ball. Look

:13:06. > :13:08.at Duff's reaction. It is the linesman who gives the decision. The

:13:09. > :13:13.referee has to go with that and it is put away really well. He missed

:13:14. > :13:18.the chance just before that, a really good chance. They will

:13:19. > :13:24.complain, they will feel hard done by and rightly so. He has been good

:13:25. > :13:28.on his return from suspension. Norwood played well. What about the

:13:29. > :13:32.goal from I suppose the man of the game really in some respects, a

:13:33. > :13:38.great strike, but some questions over Tom Heaton? Undoubtedly. The

:13:39. > :13:42.giveaway for this is the way that Tom Heaton reacts. He kicks the

:13:43. > :13:49.post, punches the post, he should have got to it. Once it bounces, he

:13:50. > :13:53.has to follow the bounce and see the ball out. He misjudges it. It is a

:13:54. > :13:59.great strike but it should have been saved. Burnley have a three month

:14:00. > :14:06.unbeaten run but great belief for Huddersfield. Burnley have done

:14:07. > :14:09.well. Huddersfield have played very well in the last couple of weeks.

:14:10. > :14:15.More from the Championship and we start with Nottingham Forest meeting

:14:16. > :14:24.a Reading side looking for a first win in five.

:14:25. > :14:29.Nottingham Forest found out skipper Chris Coen will miss the rest of the

:14:30. > :14:35.season with his knee injury during the week. And today, there was more

:14:36. > :14:40.bad news. Reading took the lead early on, and got their second

:14:41. > :14:45.before 15 minutes was up, through Kaspars Gorkss. Forest had drawn a

:14:46. > :14:49.blank just once so far this season, and Jamie Mackie provided the

:14:50. > :14:53.perfect pass for Michael Rankine to put them back in contention, before

:14:54. > :14:55.a double change to the home line up at half-time which made a

:14:56. > :15:00.difference. One of the substitutes, Darius Henderson, and deleted the

:15:01. > :15:05.comeback. What a waste, all of that hard work was undone, as Reading's

:15:06. > :15:08.Jordan Obita enjoyed a moment he will never forget. It was the

:15:09. > :15:14.teenager's first goal for the club he joined at the age of eight. The

:15:15. > :15:21.three points were protected by Chris Gunter's tackle, which earned him a

:15:22. > :15:30.second booking. The dismissal was a price worth paying on a successful

:15:31. > :15:34.night for the Royals. Everyone has had to work very hard for each

:15:35. > :15:40.other. We knew we would have to do that today. Got on the front foot

:15:41. > :15:43.and it was a pleasing victory today. Millwall have been Leicester's bogey

:15:44. > :15:47.side in recent years, often defeating them at the worst of

:15:48. > :15:56.times, but that never looked to be on the cards here, certainly not

:15:57. > :16:02.after Lord -- Lloyd Dyer had put them in the lead. Anthony Knockaert

:16:03. > :16:06.was denied on this occasion, faxed to the brilliance of David Forde.

:16:07. > :16:11.Leicester were lively upfront, and Millwall could not hold them at a

:16:12. > :16:14.furlong. They conceded a second following their own corner kick,

:16:15. > :16:23.Jamie Vardy running almost the full length of the field. Vardy's second

:16:24. > :16:27.came moments later. On this occasion he out jumped Mark Beevers before

:16:28. > :16:33.making the most of the errant backpass. The Championship's new

:16:34. > :16:38.leaders managed an incredible total of 30 efforts on goal in the match.

:16:39. > :16:45.Fortunately for Millwall, David Forde prevented any further

:16:46. > :16:49.embarrassment. In the end we managed to get a pretty comfortable win. We

:16:50. > :16:55.move on, it has been a good season so far for us, we have got to try

:16:56. > :17:00.and keep it going. Football can be an expensive business, just ask QPR

:17:01. > :17:05.owner Tony Fernandes. His bank balance has certainly taken a hit

:17:06. > :17:08.since he took over. But there are indications that he might see a

:17:09. > :17:13.return on that investment fairly soon. Ross Turnbull did not come out

:17:14. > :17:17.with any credit when he let this one through his fingers. Most would have

:17:18. > :17:21.expected and other routine win after that, but the South Yorkshire side

:17:22. > :17:26.came out with vigour in the second half. Only Theo Robinson will know

:17:27. > :17:32.if he meant this. But it was just a shot in the arm the home side needed

:17:33. > :17:38.after losing four out of six. Clint Hill went close to restoring QPR's

:17:39. > :17:43.lead. But they say timing is everything, and Paul Quinn scored in

:17:44. > :17:48.the final minute, his first goal in 2.5 years, putting the hosts on

:17:49. > :17:54.course for a crucial win down at the bottom. Itchy Wellings could have

:17:55. > :18:01.added more gloss the scoreline. Rovers go seven points clear of

:18:02. > :18:05.trouble. Whose idea was it to send your right back up for the corner in

:18:06. > :18:14.the last few minutes? I will take credit for that. To get the winner

:18:15. > :18:17.from a set piece was great today. Paul has done a great job with them,

:18:18. > :18:21.but you have got to come here and try and win. You cannot throw points

:18:22. > :18:28.away like this if you want to get promoted. A five-game stadium ban

:18:29. > :18:31.had felt like an age for Paul Ince, but he had been back on the

:18:32. > :18:35.touchline little more than five minutes when he had something to

:18:36. > :18:39.celebrate. Ricardo Fuller converted the corner from Tom Ince. Dave

:18:40. > :18:45.Jones' side have only won once all season, but they set the tempo after

:18:46. > :18:49.going behind early on. This was a wonderful chance wasted. It meant

:18:50. > :18:54.Blackpool were living on their nerves for the majority of the

:18:55. > :18:58.match, only able to relax after Dan Gosling guided this one in off the

:18:59. > :19:05.post. After that, the outstanding Ricardo Fuller seemed keen to enjoy

:19:06. > :19:16.himself. The skill was worthy of Ronaldo, the finish was messy. Gary

:19:17. > :19:21.Mackenzie momentarily frustrated, but the seaside as were happy enough

:19:22. > :19:25.at the end. There has never been a game where we have been able to give

:19:26. > :19:31.our defence a breather. To see that goal go in from Dan Gosling, who has

:19:32. > :19:37.been fantastic since he has come in, it was a time to sit back! Blackpool

:19:38. > :19:41.continue to challenge at the right end, but not so for Sheffield

:19:42. > :19:46.Wednesday, and it is looking bleak for Dave Jones. Yes, he said what

:19:47. > :19:50.was wrong this week but he said the same thing last week about the

:19:51. > :19:53.team's performance. It is a difficult game, football, when

:19:54. > :19:59.things are not going well, and people asked to take responsibility

:20:00. > :20:02.on the ball, get it and pass it, they tend to snatch at

:20:03. > :20:05.opportunities. It is something they are going to have to get out of. A

:20:06. > :20:12.new name at the top of the Championship tonight, Vesta city --

:20:13. > :20:15.Leicester City, after what can only be described as a thoroughly

:20:16. > :20:20.dominant performance against Millwall, with 30 shots on goal.

:20:21. > :20:31.Yes, without David Forde, it could've been a lot more. They were

:20:32. > :20:36.dominant, no doubt about it. Jamie Vardy was very, very good on the

:20:37. > :20:39.day. He has almost got that non-league attitude, he does not

:20:40. > :20:44.give up on anything. He has chased that ball down where many would not

:20:45. > :20:48.have done. He looks a good player. He went there for a bit of money, so

:20:49. > :20:52.a bit of pressure on him, but he played very well initially, fell

:20:53. > :20:56.away towards the end of the season but has started strongly. Keeping

:20:57. > :21:04.Chris Woods out so he must be doing something right. Also, poetic

:21:05. > :21:07.justice in some ways for Doncaster, they got turned over in the

:21:08. > :21:11.rearranged fixture against Charlton in midweek, when they had been

:21:12. > :21:19.leading 3-1. On this occasion, they get the points against QPR. And by

:21:20. > :21:22.all accounts they were excellent. I think both sides agreed that they

:21:23. > :21:26.fully deserved the win. QPR do not lose many. Think that is only the

:21:27. > :21:30.second this season. That is a fantastic result, coming off the

:21:31. > :21:36.back of what would have been a really disappointing midweek game,

:21:37. > :21:40.when they will have felt they deserved the three points. At

:21:41. > :21:43.Barnsley, the bottom club, they have parted company with their manager,

:21:44. > :21:48.David Flitcroft, shortly after their game against Birmingham. The day had

:21:49. > :21:55.started in celebratory mood, as Oakwell saluted a club legend,

:21:56. > :21:58.Norman Rimmington. Some weeks we cannot decide where to go for the

:21:59. > :22:14.Football League Show. Others, the story takes care of itself.

:22:15. > :22:23.This is a copy of the great man's registration, when he signed as a

:22:24. > :22:31.goalkeeper on February 16 1945, to play in the wartime league. And 68

:22:32. > :22:34.years later, through all those different jobs, this is where he

:22:35. > :22:56.still comes to do his bit for Barnsley football club.

:22:57. > :23:13.How many hours have you spent in here? Oh, God, are not. -- a lot. I

:23:14. > :23:24.met bill Shankly when he were manager at Huddersfield. When Denis

:23:25. > :23:28.Law played his first game. I always remember that vividly in my memory,

:23:29. > :23:34.we got beat 4-2 at Newcastle, 67,000. I was born in Barnsley,

:23:35. > :23:41.brought up in Barnsley, and played for Barnsley, and did all these

:23:42. > :23:46.other jobs. And I have had plenty of offers to go to other jobs, but no,

:23:47. > :23:48.I turned them all down because this is my club. Have you got a mobile

:23:49. > :24:24.phone?! Hello? # Happy birthday to you.

:24:25. > :24:35.# Happy birthday, dear Norman. # Happy birthday to you. He brought

:24:36. > :24:39.the whole squad to his party. They to be fair, he was sloshed, he did

:24:40. > :24:44.not recognise any of them. It was the best speech I have ever heard at

:24:45. > :24:48.any party. He is an amazing man, he has got an amazing family to back

:24:49. > :24:52.him up. But his party and the speech was the best I have ever been to.

:24:53. > :24:58.But what do you expect? He is a great man. The guard of honour is

:24:59. > :25:04.suitable for this man. Birmingham wanted to do it as well. The two

:25:05. > :25:10.sets of players as well. It is only right.

:25:11. > :25:18.Six months after leading Barnsley to the great escape, David Flitcroft's

:25:19. > :25:20.reign is over. Birmingham City exposed the deficiencies which had

:25:21. > :25:30.made for another pain. To this campaign. Midway through the half,

:25:31. > :25:34.they were given the chance to increase their advantage. The dive

:25:35. > :25:44.from Nicola Zigic seemed obvious to everybody except the referee.

:25:45. > :25:47.Birmingham got their second. At this rate, Barnsley were in real danger

:25:48. > :25:52.of being cut adrift at the bottom. Yet another mistake let in Zigic,

:25:53. > :25:56.who wrapped up the win for Birmingham before half-time. That

:25:57. > :26:02.proved to be the final straw for Barnsley's board. Flitcroft's time

:26:03. > :26:09.was up after less than a year. So, a day which began with great scenes

:26:10. > :26:13.did not end in that way, with Barnsley looking for the 27th

:26:14. > :26:20.manager during the time of Norman Rimmington. Surprised by

:26:21. > :26:23.developments there tonight? Well, it is the stage of the season where you

:26:24. > :26:31.are either looking at, if you have intentions of going up, and you

:26:32. > :26:35.might adrift, or if you are going to fight relegation, are you going to

:26:36. > :26:42.get cut adrift? On the evidence of today, only one win in 12. They are

:26:43. > :26:46.conceding more than two goals a game. It is such a shame, because

:26:47. > :26:50.when he was first installed, towards the end of last season, kept them

:26:51. > :26:56.up. There was a real fighting spirit. Yes, initially, there was a

:26:57. > :27:01.reaction when he came in. It petered out a little bit and they stayed up.

:27:02. > :27:06.But it just has not got started this season. Never at any stage have they

:27:07. > :27:13.been able to get themselves out of the relegation zone. The early

:27:14. > :27:19.kick-off was a south coast derby, with Bournemouth, without a win in

:27:20. > :27:23.five, taking on a Brighton side which has been on a good run, even

:27:24. > :27:30.with a few attacking players missing. Matt Ritchie came in,

:27:31. > :27:35.making his first start since April. Brighton made just one change, with

:27:36. > :27:52.colder one coming in. Jon Champion was watching this one.

:27:53. > :27:58.Calderon, and that was the best chance of the game so far! The

:27:59. > :28:00.adventurous nature of Brighton's experienced Spanish right-back

:28:01. > :28:14.almost bringing the opening goal. And that will be a free kick to

:28:15. > :28:19.Bournemouth in a promising position for them. In effect that was a rugby

:28:20. > :28:31.tackle. And it has gone into the corner!

:28:32. > :28:42.Matt Ritchie returns to action with a splendid goal.

:28:43. > :28:47.He would have seen its late because of the do far, but all of the

:28:48. > :28:49.frustration of three months out with a thigh injury has gone in that one

:28:50. > :29:12.sweet moment. That is some stop! It was Matt

:29:13. > :29:17.Ritchie who was flying in at the far post.

:29:18. > :29:28.It's Fraser again! Great ball in. Met by Ritchie, clawed out by

:29:29. > :29:53.Kuszczak. Fraser with the follow-up. It's Ritchie. It's deflected! It

:29:54. > :30:04.loops only just wide. The keeper was stranded.

:30:05. > :30:35.Perceptive passing. This is Calderon. Ince. He is a distant

:30:36. > :30:40.cousin of Tom Ince and Eric Young who used to play centre-back for

:30:41. > :30:45.Blackburn in days gone by. A good effort. That is a brilliant goal.

:30:46. > :30:52.Ashley Barnes with an equaliser, pretty much out of nothing.

:30:53. > :30:58.Calderon's throw. Barnes worked some space, found an angle. Then with a

:30:59. > :31:09.seering shot, located the corner of the net. That's an outstanding goal.

:31:10. > :31:18.Now through the middle, it's Pittman. You can sense here there

:31:19. > :31:19.will be chances created at both ends of the pitch in the closing stages

:31:20. > :31:33.of this game. It's Ritchie. Ritchie would have to

:31:34. > :31:38.go down as the outstanding individual on show so far.

:31:39. > :31:54.Ritchie. Here's Wes Thomas. Thomas going on his own. Pittman was up

:31:55. > :31:58.with him. We had enough chances in the game to have won it. I was

:31:59. > :32:03.really pleased with the workrate of the players, the appetite to press

:32:04. > :32:08.the ball and win the ball back high up the pitch. Disappointed obviously

:32:09. > :32:13.with their goal. We switched off for a split second a great strike. We

:32:14. > :32:19.felt we deserved more. We deserved more because we keep the ball. We

:32:20. > :32:22.had the ball and we played much better in the second-half.

:32:23. > :32:26.Bournemouth will be disappointed I suppose to not to come away with all

:32:27. > :32:30.three points. After what happened against Watford and Huddersfield,

:32:31. > :32:36.against a side that won all three, they are now developing to the needs

:32:37. > :32:39.of this division, aren't they? Sometimes it will take a while to

:32:40. > :32:43.get used to what you are up against. Up until the goal, I have to say

:32:44. > :32:48.they were the dominant side. 55 minutes it was, just before that,

:32:49. > :32:52.sat there watching it and saying - where will Brighton get a goal from

:32:53. > :32:56.here. They scored. They took something from the goal Brighton.

:32:57. > :33:00.For the next 20 minutes were the dominant team. Bournemouth came back

:33:01. > :33:05.into it. It was a strange game. There were fantastic moments in it

:33:06. > :33:10.and scrappy moments in the game. Performance for Matt Ritchie, the

:33:11. > :33:16.leftwinger at Bournemouth, he scored for them. His first start since

:33:17. > :33:21.April. You could never have told on the back of that performance? No.

:33:22. > :33:30.Absolutely not much he was a torn in their side. That is a wonder... Just

:33:31. > :33:34.the vision and pace of the ball that he passes there. A nice strike.

:33:35. > :33:39.Great technique. We know all about that. This next bit... Fantastic

:33:40. > :33:45.goal. We will see from the other angle. Not sure what Kuszczak does

:33:46. > :33:48.here. He puts the wall up. Keeper's then stand behind it. The one

:33:49. > :33:53.movement the other way leaves an awful big gap. He is the right

:33:54. > :33:56.player to exploit that. Good finish. Good finish from Ashley Barnes

:33:57. > :34:01.making the most of his opportunities up top? Playing up on his own. One

:34:02. > :34:05.or two other players are out, that allowed him that chance. This is a

:34:06. > :34:10.wonderful goal. He could be closed down. When we see this again. Steven

:34:11. > :34:13.Cook, he gets very tight there. He should stay that tight. You are in

:34:14. > :34:19.that box. You don't want people to turn. Wonderful finish. If he stays

:34:20. > :34:27.tight he doesn't allow the shot and he would be blocking that. You could

:34:28. > :34:31.do that nine times out of ten and he would blaze it wide. That is a

:34:32. > :34:39.wonderful strike. Take nothing from the goal, brilliant. Get tighter

:34:40. > :34:42.next time. Like Brighton, Leeds went into the weekend thanks to a

:34:43. > :34:45.hat-trick of wins. The latest coming against Middlesbrough last Saturday

:34:46. > :34:48.to lift them into the play-off places for the first time since

:34:49. > :34:52.mid-September. Earlier, Brian McDermott's side were at Blackburn.

:34:53. > :34:59.7,000 travelling Leeds fans created Brian McDermott and co at Ewood

:35:00. > :35:07.Park. They went home empty-handed. Paddy Kenny had to push this shot

:35:08. > :35:11.around the post. This game turned on a first half miss by Danny Pugh,

:35:12. > :35:20.only a goal was missing for the away side. Pugh couldn't provide it. Kean

:35:21. > :35:24.denying the Leeds man. Rovers upped their game after that, finishing the

:35:25. > :35:30.first half the stronger of the two sides. Taylor's turn and shot had

:35:31. > :35:34.Kenny improadvising, once again. Ewood Park hadn't witnessed a home

:35:35. > :35:39.win over Leeds for 11 years. Rovers made the breakthrough just before

:35:40. > :35:48.the interval. Tommy Spurr heading his second for the club in

:35:49. > :35:56.stoppage-time. Victory would have been more comfortable if it wasn't

:35:57. > :36:02.for this spectacular Kenny save a Austin came closest to an equaliser

:36:03. > :36:08.as Leeds three game winning run came to a crashing halt. Disappointed to

:36:09. > :36:12.lose that game. We could have been one up, they scored with set play

:36:13. > :36:23.before half-time to go in 1-0. That was the crucial goal. The manager

:36:24. > :36:27.issued a rallying call, three successive home defeats had the

:36:28. > :36:35.locals feeling restless. A good start was vital. They almost

:36:36. > :36:38.provided it. Webster's second in as many games right on the stroke of

:36:39. > :36:43.half-time. Just what the doctor ordered after three straight defeats

:36:44. > :36:48.on the road. Johnson had given debuts to three new loan signings.

:36:49. > :36:55.One came up trumps. Joe Edwards doing the donkey work before setting

:36:56. > :36:58.Miller. Yeovil's latest recruit on the scoresheet for the first time

:36:59. > :37:04.since the end of last year. For the second time this season, Johnson's

:37:05. > :37:10.men managed to score more than one goal in a league game. Watford left

:37:11. > :37:14.frustrated. Fernando Forestieri one of several players who struggled to

:37:15. > :37:18.find a way through. In this first ever meeting of the two sides, it

:37:19. > :37:21.was the Glovers who made it a day to Saviour for their travelling fanes

:37:22. > :37:26.who treated them to another goal in the final minute. Edwards made it

:37:27. > :37:29.3-0. Yeovil's biggest win of the season in every sense of the word.

:37:30. > :37:34.These are worrying times for Watford. Obviously, the first goal

:37:35. > :37:40.was vital. It gives you more power to your elbow. We kept that going.

:37:41. > :37:44.I'm thrilled. Proud, as managers say in this situation. It's down to me

:37:45. > :37:52.to find the solutions to this problem. Something is not right at

:37:53. > :37:59.the moment here. It has to be solved. Ipswich expected Charlton to

:38:00. > :38:02.be full of enthusiasm after recording their second home win of

:38:03. > :38:08.the season in midweek. They set out to fight fire with fire on the

:38:09. > :38:16.attack from the off. In a breathless start, it took Alnwick save to keep

:38:17. > :38:20.out these shots. Tommy Smith gave a header that there was no stopping.

:38:21. > :38:24.All that in the opening five minutes. It meant Mick McCarthy's

:38:25. > :38:30.men would have to be on their metal for a long, long time to hold onto

:38:31. > :38:44.the points. The visitors almost lost their advantage. The Wiggins broke

:38:45. > :38:52.into the box. Berratidied up. Charlton was forcing the pace. This

:38:53. > :39:00.header didn't cause Gerken any serious concern. At the end of a

:39:01. > :39:07.determined run, Cameron Stuart could only force another routine stop from

:39:08. > :39:11.Gerken. I don't think we have come here and dominated the game. We

:39:12. > :39:15.dominated the first bit of the first half and were the better team in the

:39:16. > :39:19.first half. They were better in the second with the ball. They didn't do

:39:20. > :39:24.the important thing, put the ball in the net. Ipswich defended deep,

:39:25. > :39:37.well-organised, we broke them down a few times, but we just didn't

:39:38. > :39:44.convert. The manager's first home game was against tough opponents.

:39:45. > :39:53.Bolton's hot streak came to an end with Beckford culpable. With Bolton

:39:54. > :39:59.enjoying their best spell Emnes and Main were sent on. The game was then

:40:00. > :40:05.decided by two late penalties. One scored, and one missed. With nine

:40:06. > :40:14.minutes to gshgs the lively Emnes was pulled down by Tim Ream. The

:40:15. > :40:22.Riverside was sent into premature celebrations. They should have known

:40:23. > :40:32.better. Boro had kept only two cleansheets. # Bolton were given a

:40:33. > :40:40.penalty of their own. Fortune smiled on the home side. Beckford' skied

:40:41. > :40:52.the spot-kick. Bolton's eight game unbeaten streak went up in smoke. A

:40:53. > :41:00.nervous finish. For me it was the dream that I... My dream, my first

:41:01. > :41:04.game here. Our people were in the stadium. For me it was very, very

:41:05. > :41:08.well. The manager's first game, big crowd, he might have edged it in

:41:09. > :41:13.terms of possession. I felt the second-half a lot was with us, it

:41:14. > :41:17.wasn't to to be. Was a dream home debut for the new Boro boss in front

:41:18. > :41:21.of 24,000, a while since they have seen a crowd like that there? They

:41:22. > :41:25.dropped the prices obviously. That might be a message to all clubs, it

:41:26. > :41:28.does make a difference if you can drop the prices like that. That is

:41:29. > :41:34.clever thinking by the football club. His first game at home, new

:41:35. > :41:39.manager... Emotions running high? Let's back that crowned crowd with

:41:40. > :41:45.euthusiastic supporters who are here on the feel good factor because they

:41:46. > :41:48.got in on the cheap, so to speak. Good partnership between the club

:41:49. > :41:51.and manager to set that up. It worked for them. Certainly has.

:41:52. > :41:58.Another thing that worked on Saturday, the three loan signings

:41:59. > :42:05.made by Gary Johnson at Yeovil Town. Miller came on and scored at what

:42:06. > :42:09.was a handsome victory. 3-0 winners. Their third this season? They are

:42:10. > :42:13.staying in there, aren't they? They are staying in there. No doubt about

:42:14. > :42:17.that. Obviously, one from Everton, one from Liverpool. He has been on

:42:18. > :42:21.the motorway a little bit, hasn't he? I mean, that shows that is he is

:42:22. > :42:24.scouring the market, he is constantly on the lookout. They have

:42:25. > :42:30.a certain budget, they have to work within that. Fantastic result.

:42:31. > :42:40.Watford, we heard boos, fourth home defeat in a row. How quickly things

:42:41. > :42:44.have changed at. Last year you wouldn't say it was massively high,

:42:45. > :42:50.they over achieved by what people thought they would happen. Here are

:42:51. > :42:53.quotes from the manager. He talks about a crisis of confidence. The

:42:54. > :42:58.players lost that confidence some time ago. That is some revolution.

:42:59. > :43:02.They set the bar quite high. They lost last year, expectation is we

:43:03. > :43:05.will replicate that at least. When you don't you fall down that.

:43:06. > :43:10.People's expectations are not met. They start to become disgruntled.

:43:11. > :43:16.There is more pressure, add to the fact they have lost 20 odd goals,

:43:17. > :43:19.one or two injuries, you know, yet again another side that may be

:43:20. > :43:27.playing under pressure than they thought they might at the start of

:43:28. > :43:29.the season. To League One now and the game of the day at London Road

:43:30. > :43:31.as first met fifth. the season. To League One now and

:43:32. > :43:34.the game Peterborough were on a five-game losing streak and licking

:43:35. > :43:37.their wounds from their 3-2 defeat at promotion rivals Brentford. On

:43:38. > :43:47.Tuesday, they took on the new leaders Wolves.

:43:48. > :43:53.Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson set this game up as a test not of

:43:54. > :43:58.ability, but of character, for his players. He forgot to mention luck,

:43:59. > :44:04.like this handball, which was not punished. The pace and power of

:44:05. > :44:06.Bakary Sako nearly brought the league leaders a goal, but

:44:07. > :44:11.Peterborough rode their luck and scored with their only shot on

:44:12. > :44:16.target, in the 79th minute, from Michael Bostwick. It ended the home

:44:17. > :44:25.side's run of setbacks and suffering, not that the boss was in

:44:26. > :44:30.a charitable mood. I do not think, Wolves are so organised and rigid,

:44:31. > :44:34.it was never going to be a classic. It was always going to be tight. Our

:44:35. > :44:38.concentration was on keeping the ball better. And the pitch is not

:44:39. > :44:43.helping us, it is not in good condition. I am not happy with that.

:44:44. > :44:48.It took a really good free kick from Michael to win us the game.

:44:49. > :44:57.That meant Orient could reclaim the lead. They have lost their last game

:44:58. > :45:02.without scoring. Their defence is usually pretty cast-iron, but not so

:45:03. > :45:08.here, as they gifted the Blades the lead midway through the second

:45:09. > :45:13.half, Conor Coady, the England you've kept, with his first senior

:45:14. > :45:18.goal. But good teams have good players, who produce when required.

:45:19. > :45:26.Dean Cox fits that description, and he got one of the goals of the day.

:45:27. > :45:29.Orient started with the league's most potent attack, and Robbie

:45:30. > :45:35.Simpson nearly nicked it. Nonetheless, they are back on top.

:45:36. > :45:40.We are enjoying being on the top, and we want to stay there for ever,

:45:41. > :45:45.if still a lot of games to go, but if we continue to play with that

:45:46. > :45:53.enthusiasm and attitude and ability to create chances, then we will give

:45:54. > :45:57.ourselves every chance. After the sacking of Sean O'Driscoll, his

:45:58. > :46:00.assistant John Pemberton took charge of struggling Bristol city at

:46:01. > :46:03.Deepdale. It was a match which could have gone either way. The Bristol

:46:04. > :46:09.city central defender hit the 'keeper with this effort. But it was

:46:10. > :46:18.the in form Preston who got the only goal of the game, Jack King arriving

:46:19. > :46:23.bravely. Preston had conceded just two goals in their last six games,

:46:24. > :46:29.but Wagstaff was unlucky not to grab a point for City with this effort.

:46:30. > :46:34.In such a tight affair, it was no big surprise to see two players

:46:35. > :46:40.losing their cool. Both men got a red card. After top scorer Garner

:46:41. > :46:45.picked up a better respective ban on Thursday, Preston's striking options

:46:46. > :46:50.are starting to look stretched. -- picked up a retrospective ban.

:46:51. > :47:02.Results may not yet be reflecting it, but the bottom club seem to be

:47:03. > :47:07.picking up a bit. Notts County are yet to win under new management.

:47:08. > :47:13.Gary Liddle's acrobatic volley was stopped on the line by a centre

:47:14. > :47:20.forward. But as is the way with struggling teams, they then showed

:47:21. > :47:30.fallibility, gifting possession, and Greg ended a 14 game run without a

:47:31. > :47:34.goal. It could've been more comfortable, had Donaldson accepted

:47:35. > :47:47.this opportunity in the second half. -- Grigg. In the first half,

:47:48. > :47:53.we did not look as we normally do. Too many crosses on our left-hand

:47:54. > :47:59.side and on a better day, they would have scored. Gillingham did the

:48:00. > :48:06.double over the Millers last season. No danger of that this time, as

:48:07. > :48:15.Dicko led a Rotherham side on devastating form. Next, the

:48:16. > :48:20.Gillingham defence helped Kieran Agard to get his 11th of the season

:48:21. > :48:28.in league and cup. Hard to believe the Millers have not won in five at

:48:29. > :48:33.home. Ben Pringle's cross had made the second goal, and the third was

:48:34. > :48:43.all his own work. All of this inside the first 35 minutes. Cody McDonald

:48:44. > :48:50.converted this flick on to get his fifth hole of the season, all of

:48:51. > :48:57.which have come away from home. -- fifth goal of the season. But

:48:58. > :49:01.rather's response was a landmark goal for James Tavernier, with his

:49:02. > :49:15.first career goal, on loan from Newcastle. Sealed an emphatic win.

:49:16. > :49:18.On loan Spurs youngster Alex Pritchard enjoyed a splendid game

:49:19. > :49:25.for Swindon town. His determination and composure created the opening

:49:26. > :49:29.goal for Massimo Luongo. But the Cumbrians are unbeaten in four

:49:30. > :49:36.games, and they were not far away from an equaliser just before the

:49:37. > :49:40.break. It was no surprise when former Swindon defender Sean

:49:41. > :49:46.O'Hanlon levelled midway through the second half. The Robins once again

:49:47. > :49:50.failed to mark up in the box. But their lead was restored almost

:49:51. > :49:55.straightaway with a quality free kick from Pritchard. The side who

:49:56. > :50:00.have scored more goals in League One than any other team wrapped it up in

:50:01. > :50:05.stoppage time, through Danny and N'Guessan. Swindon's promotion

:50:06. > :50:18.challenge was well and truly back on track. Game of the Day has to be at

:50:19. > :50:23.London Road. Peterborough had to pull something out of the bag,

:50:24. > :50:29.didn't they? If Wolves had won, there would have been a 14 point gap

:50:30. > :50:33.between the two. Like you say, sometimes you get seminal moments in

:50:34. > :50:37.a season, and this was one of them, for Peterborough. Interestingly they

:50:38. > :50:42.are the second lowest scorers at home in the league. We always say,

:50:43. > :50:46.they are going to break the record for goals conceded and scored. So

:50:47. > :51:01.there might be some change going on there. Keeping it tight. They

:51:02. > :51:06.certainly did today. And Brentford are in Will Grigg, in his first

:51:07. > :51:17.start since Sauber, showing some form, like he used to, in his

:51:18. > :51:21.Walsall days. -- since October. Yes, and all of a sudden, they look like

:51:22. > :51:27.they are in a strong position. Shaun Derry has taken one hell of a job at

:51:28. > :51:31.Notts County. Yes, but expectation will still be low. The club was

:51:32. > :51:34.struggling anyway. He has not been able to turn things around yet, but

:51:35. > :51:40.he will look to improve the situation over the coming months.

:51:41. > :51:44.Staying with League One, and starting this time with two clubs

:51:45. > :51:48.with realistic promotion ambitions, Walsall and Port Vale. The Saddlers

:51:49. > :51:59.got a valuable point in midweek at Sheffield United. The last time Port

:52:00. > :52:09.Vale won a league game at Walsall, the Queen was a newlywed, back in

:52:10. > :52:14.1947. This time, Vale took just 20 minutes to make their mark, through

:52:15. > :52:19.Tom Pope's eighth of the season. Chambers tried his luck next, but

:52:20. > :52:26.keep Johnson made an accomplished save on the eve of his 21st

:52:27. > :52:34.birthday. Gavin Tomlin got the crucial goal to confirm the victory

:52:35. > :52:39.for Port Vale. 7000 Sky Blues fans at Milton Keynes, more than three

:52:40. > :52:49.times the average home gate for their games in Northampton. On

:52:50. > :52:56.half-time, there was a penalty for MK Dons, when Ben Reeves was tripped

:52:57. > :53:02.by Conor Thomas. Shaun Williams scored from the spot, his seventh

:53:03. > :53:12.successful penalty of the season. Two Coventry loan signings had a big

:53:13. > :53:16.say, first, this deflected shot from Chris Dagnall. And in the final four

:53:17. > :53:21.minutes, McGuire, a forgotten man at Sheffield Wednesday, came off the

:53:22. > :53:28.bench to devastating effect. -- Chris Maguire. And then, same

:53:29. > :53:37.player, similar range, a decisive double whammy. More than 7000

:53:38. > :53:41.supporters today, and the atmosphere in the stadium was so intense. It

:53:42. > :53:49.was great. A big thank you from the players for that result today.

:53:50. > :53:56.Crawley town have sacked manager Richie Barker on Wednesday, , but it

:53:57. > :54:01.appeared they were in the mood to get their first away victory in the

:54:02. > :54:04.league since August. But even after their opponents got a red card for

:54:05. > :54:09.this dive, they failed to take advantage of several chances. First,

:54:10. > :54:17.Billy Clarke broke from the halfway line, only to be denied by the

:54:18. > :54:26.defenders. You sensed that the ten men would succumb at one stage.

:54:27. > :54:30.Eventually, it came to Matthew Sadler, only for his shots to be

:54:31. > :54:34.scrambled off the line. But when you are committed to attack, you can

:54:35. > :54:39.leave yourself exposed at the back. The winner was scored by the

:54:40. > :54:50.substitute, just three minutes after coming off the bench, by Aneke.

:54:51. > :54:56.Tranmere's afternoon started badly and got better. After 12 minutes

:54:57. > :55:00.they had lost two defenders. Jon Otsemobor had an altercation with a

:55:01. > :55:08.wall. And his team-mate succumbed to a groin injury. But they were

:55:09. > :55:14.undeterred. From this corner, the home side went in front through this

:55:15. > :55:21.header from Ryan Lowe, who got a hat-trick last weekend. Low's cross

:55:22. > :55:32.and encouraged a foul in the box, and the referee gave a penalty. Low

:55:33. > :55:35.drove in his 12th of the season. The 35-year-old has been described as

:55:36. > :55:45.Tranmere's most dangerous striker since John Aldridge. Colchester's

:55:46. > :56:00.own pensionable predator, Clinton Morrison, got a late goal, but it

:56:01. > :56:05.was not enough. With five home defeats for Stevenage, their fans

:56:06. > :56:12.would not have got carried away with their opening goal. Any application

:56:13. > :56:22.was well founded, as Shrewsbury hit back. They got two goals in three

:56:23. > :56:31.minutes. Adam Reach got his second in three matches. Tom Eaves rejoined

:56:32. > :56:36.from Bolton for a second loan spell this week. He got six in ten last

:56:37. > :56:43.season, and his second Shrewsbury debut was marked with a goal.

:56:44. > :56:49.Left-back Joe Jacobson is having the best scoring season of his career.

:56:50. > :56:57.This was his third of the season, ceiling Shrewsbury's first away win

:56:58. > :57:02.since March. Shrewsbury, certainly among the goals, the first time they

:57:03. > :57:05.have scored three in seven months, and a valuable win as well for Port

:57:06. > :57:10.Vale. It is turning out to be a season to remember for them. A first

:57:11. > :57:19.win at Walsall in the league since 1947. Yes, they have got the perfect

:57:20. > :57:26.record, 13 in 13 at home, and 15 scored and conceded away. Keeping

:57:27. > :57:29.Tom Pope as well, that is a massive tonic, that is a statement from the

:57:30. > :57:35.football club, we can keep our best players. That will have encouraged

:57:36. > :57:45.everyone. Tom Pope with a neat finish as well and what about that

:57:46. > :57:47.everyone. Tom Pope with a neat from Gavin Tomlin for his first

:57:48. > :57:51.league goal as well. Yes, that is a really good finish. When you have

:57:52. > :57:56.got people who can get your goals like that from nothing, then you

:57:57. > :58:00.have got a chance . Coventry fans, away from home, but it must have

:58:01. > :58:07.felt like a home fixture, with 7000 fans at MK Dons cheering them on.

:58:08. > :58:10.They have had a blip of late, but he has reinforced the ranks, Steven

:58:11. > :58:17.Pressley, with some good signings will be yes, he has proved that he

:58:18. > :58:22.knows the lower leagues, he knows some good players, people who can be

:58:23. > :58:27.effective, and he has managed to put them together as well. What a great

:58:28. > :58:32.free kick this was from Chris Maguire. Absolutely, these are good

:58:33. > :58:39.players at this level, and above, in some cases. Having had a bit of a

:58:40. > :58:44.blip, they are now on a really good one. This will get people looking up

:58:45. > :58:48.the table and thinking, can we get ourselves in that play-off

:58:49. > :58:56.position? Seven points, it is not so much the points, it is the amount of

:58:57. > :59:03.teams between you. You will probably have a go on another run, to win

:59:04. > :59:06.five out of six games at some stage, in order to move into the

:59:07. > :59:12.play-offs, but at least they have shown they are capable.

:59:13. > :59:17.To League Two now and Oxford United remained top despite drawing a blank

:59:18. > :59:20.at home to Newport in midweek, County's Christian Jolley coming

:59:21. > :59:24.closest to breaking the deadlock late on. Chris Wilder's side was at

:59:25. > :59:24.a club just two points off the pace, Fleetwood.

:59:25. > :59:26.late on. Chris Wilder's side was at a club just two A day that ended

:59:27. > :59:30.with Chris Wilder being linked with the Portsmouth job, began with his

:59:31. > :59:37.Oxford side in danger of losing top spot. Schumacher's 12th minute

:59:38. > :59:44.free-kick looked like taking Fleetwood to the summit. Had the

:59:45. > :59:48.same player take thn chance Town may have been the new League Two

:59:49. > :59:55.leaders. Constable was one of several to go close. Kitson went

:59:56. > :59:59.even closer. A breath taking save from Davies keeping Oxford at bay.

:00:00. > :00:06.It looked as though the goalkeeper would be the Fleetwood hero. Oxford

:00:07. > :00:12.were awarded a penalty when Kitson went down in the box. Davies guessed

:00:13. > :00:18.correctly. There was no denying Oxford in the 89th minute, Kitson's

:00:19. > :00:25.second goal of the season preserved their unbeaten away record this

:00:26. > :00:30.season. People watched the game today would have said that that we

:00:31. > :00:33.were the dominant team, especially the second-half. I think we fully

:00:34. > :00:38.deserved to get something from the game. Are disappointed to concede

:00:39. > :00:42.the goal so late on. They have got good strikers and put us under

:00:43. > :00:49.pressure, a lot of ball noose our box. For the majority of the time we

:00:50. > :00:57.dealt with it really well. Just one header and it cost us. Southend were

:00:58. > :01:01.among the clubs eyeing top spot, Cheltenham kept them busy. United

:01:02. > :01:07.would have to be at their best to make it five league wins in a row.

:01:08. > :01:13.Phil Brown's high flyers got their noses in front. Hurst made the

:01:14. > :01:20.chance count at the second attempt. A goal that had Southend on course

:01:21. > :01:24.for the summit until stoppage-time. Straker knelt was pushed, the

:01:25. > :01:29.referee could see no excuse for his handball. A chance for Cheltenham to

:01:30. > :01:34.score for the first time in three games a responsibility that rested

:01:35. > :01:39.with Matt Richards. Another draw for Town, their fifth in seven league

:01:40. > :01:48.games, stalling Southend's upward progress. Rochdale were aiming to

:01:49. > :01:53.take full advantage, York seemed the ideal opponents. After a goalless

:01:54. > :02:01.first half, Jarvis warned them not to take them for granted. Dale wo

:02:02. > :02:06.finished with 9-men midweek went close to winning it. Henderson

:02:07. > :02:10.couldn't find the corner. A useful point. We have to keep working hard.

:02:11. > :02:19.Keep the belief and hopefully we will get there. No side have

:02:20. > :02:28.conceded more goals than Torquay ahead of the weekend. Winnal took

:02:29. > :02:35.his tally to nine. Torquay dropped into the bottom two a fortnight ago.

:02:36. > :02:39.O'Connor head this corner past his own keeper. Any chance of them

:02:40. > :02:45.coming back from the dead ended when Craig's free-kick before the break

:02:46. > :02:50.hit the crossbar. The early in the second-half, Slocombe kept out

:02:51. > :03:04.another sweet effort. It looked grim for the Gulls. Past the hour it got

:03:05. > :03:24.worse. Winnal's setup play enabled them to get a goal. Worse still,

:03:25. > :03:29.Torquay are four points from safety. 1-0 to the Albion has been familiar

:03:30. > :03:43.story. Burton last won by that score. This mistake allowed McGurk

:03:44. > :03:45.to strike the Brewers' ahead. Trotman was blocked on the line.

:03:46. > :04:12.Argyle had enough chances. From the nettles of League Two

:04:13. > :04:19.combat a Nugent of passing moving. Wickham were without a win in five

:04:20. > :04:24.games thought they had equalised. Craig was penalised for a foul by

:04:25. > :04:29.the referee. If that frustrated Stewart it was nothing compared to

:04:30. > :04:35.the Langish that lay ahead. The Daggers leading scorers Murray

:04:36. > :04:40.escaped, Stewart challenged, there was no leniency or compassion. A red

:04:41. > :04:45.card and a penalty. Former Arsenal trainee Murphy picked himself up and

:04:46. > :04:51.drove in his 10th goal in 21 appearances this season. Wickham

:04:52. > :04:56.still competed strongly. This header deserved a better fate. Dagenham are

:04:57. > :05:01.on the fringe of the play-off picture, an improvement with last

:05:02. > :05:09.year's flirtation with the trap door. Wimbledon's best moment fell

:05:10. > :05:15.to Michael Smith. He was held up by Packwood, whose challenged risked a

:05:16. > :05:22.penalty. To the Donns disbelief Rovers was awarded a free-kick. That

:05:23. > :05:27.wasn't the only turn up. Clarkson's first goal since the opening weeks

:05:28. > :05:32.of the season put the Pirates on course for a first home win since

:05:33. > :05:37.August. After the half-hour, Lee Brown's corner was headed home by

:05:38. > :05:42.Tom Parks, injury hit Gas hit for a timely win. Wimbledon couldn't make

:05:43. > :05:47.enrodes in the second-half. Certainly not once Sammy Moore

:05:48. > :05:52.earned himself a second yellow card. His expulsion came with eight

:05:53. > :06:00.minutes to go. Soon afterwards the Gas added another from the penalty

:06:01. > :06:05.spot after Harrison was fouled. There was no mistake with this

:06:06. > :06:14.penalty and they confirmed their biggest win of the season. There is

:06:15. > :06:20.no end in sight for Mansfield's poor run they could hardly have made a

:06:21. > :06:24.better start at home to Morecambe. They were in front at the break.

:06:25. > :06:30.There is a reason they have lost five league games in a row. Their

:06:31. > :06:35.advantage was thrown away amid farcical defending. Redshaw put

:06:36. > :06:38.Morecambe level six minutes after coming on. Daniel had his clearance

:06:39. > :06:44.blocked in the build-up and tried his best to make amends. The keeper

:06:45. > :06:53.was adamant he hadn't make contact. A sense of injustice which fuelled

:06:54. > :06:59.his heroics. The home side showed what the boss called their "soft

:07:00. > :07:04.under belly" Ellison demonstrated the commitment required. He needed

:07:05. > :07:08.hospital treatment for a facial injury clinching their first win in

:07:09. > :07:14.five is just what the doctor ordered. Bury's last visit here

:07:15. > :07:18.ended in defeat. Daniel Nardiello was on the scoresheet for the home

:07:19. > :07:23.side that day. He put his new club in front against his old one. He

:07:24. > :07:37.scored for the second successive game. Exeter hit back, Wheeler got

:07:38. > :07:44.the goal. Cameron's header found it is way through the traffic. Three

:07:45. > :07:53.points would have been a welcome boost to the Shakers' survival

:07:54. > :07:58.prospects. A corner caused chaos. Bury were convinced that this header

:07:59. > :08:02.had crossed the linement the officials didn't agree. It left

:08:03. > :08:10.Exeter with a chink of light. 13 minutes left they got their break.

:08:11. > :08:23.This goal-bound effort deflected off Howell. Nicholls just couldn't miss.

:08:24. > :08:28.Match drawn in Devon. After five straight defeats, Pompey managed to

:08:29. > :08:32.stop the rot here. Wallis' excellent spinner shot from the edge of the

:08:33. > :08:40.box nearly grabbed all three points. Honours even. Fair enough, according

:08:41. > :08:49.to Pool's boss, Colin Cooper. Two years to the day since Bothroyd took

:08:50. > :08:56.charge at Northampton. How last season's play-off near misses

:08:57. > :09:01.remains a mystery. Dallas calmed their nerves. Accrington's recent

:09:02. > :09:08.upturn has given them cause for optimism. Murphy's finishing though

:09:09. > :09:17.was not up to scratch here. They won a penalty when Winnard tripped

:09:18. > :09:26.McLeoad. From the spot, the on-loan man was denied a debut goal by

:09:27. > :09:34.Bettinelli the goalkeeper borrowed from Fulham. With 10 defeats this

:09:35. > :09:45.season, Duke is a busy goalkeeper. Here he kept out Danny Webber. A win

:09:46. > :09:49.is a win, Northampton off the bottom. Big three points for a

:09:50. > :09:55.number of reasons, one because we had such a good Perrett formance at

:09:56. > :10:01.Chesterfield and got a good point at home. Another three from a team at

:10:02. > :10:04.the top of the table. We look at the table it puts us in a much better

:10:05. > :10:12.position than what it did at the start of the day. Long overdue that

:10:13. > :10:18.win for Northampton and their fans. Oxford remain top. They left it late

:10:19. > :10:24.equalising at fleewood town? 89th minute. Good finish. Good header as

:10:25. > :10:28.well. Yeah. Up amongst... They missed a penalty earlier on in that

:10:29. > :10:32.game. They would probably have felt that, with the penalty miss, they

:10:33. > :10:38.needed to get something out of that game. They did. Thanks to that

:10:39. > :10:44.Kitson equaliser they are the only team in England unbeaten away from

:10:45. > :10:49.home this season. Scunthorpe had a good win, they have been in the

:10:50. > :10:55.goals despite a permanent manager at the Helm. Rochdale have been doing

:10:56. > :11:01.well, 3-1 winners against Torquay and a miserable turn for their

:11:02. > :11:05.manager. The change of manager has worked. They have won their last

:11:06. > :11:10.three. Played well. Stle elevated themselves up the table very, very

:11:11. > :11:15.quickly. Sitting fourth. Decent. They look full of confidence. Saw

:11:16. > :11:22.them at Portsmouth, they were very good. Things are looking... Have

:11:23. > :11:42.turned around very quickly. You got the impression that 17 Adelakun was

:11:43. > :11:46.pleased with him sell. He did. Let's have a look at the tables. We have

:11:47. > :11:49.new league leaders in the Sky Bet Championship as Leicester go top for

:11:50. > :11:53.the first time since mid-September. Defeats for title rivals QPR and

:11:54. > :11:56.Burnley mean the Foxes now hold a three-point lead. Reading were the

:11:57. > :11:59.biggest climbers in the top half, moving up three places and back into

:12:00. > :12:02.the play-off positions, while Leeds defeat at Ewood Park saw them slip

:12:03. > :12:06.to seventh. Yeovil moved off the bottom with victory at Watford,

:12:07. > :12:09.their biggest away league win for 15 months, to be replaced by Barnsley

:12:10. > :12:12.who are now without a win in five. In League One, Leyton Orient

:12:13. > :12:15.returned to the top despite being held at home by Sheffield United,

:12:16. > :12:20.whilst Wolves' 11-match unbeaten run came to an end at London Road. In

:12:21. > :12:24.fact, it was a very good day for the chasing pack as the six teams below

:12:25. > :12:27.them all won. At the other end, Crewe ended a six-match winless run

:12:28. > :12:30.which saw them leapfrog manager-less Bristol City, who dropped to 23rd.

:12:31. > :12:33.Stevenage join them in the relegation zone after suffering

:12:34. > :12:36.their fourth defeat in five. There was no change in the League Two

:12:37. > :12:39.automatic places despite draws for Oxford and Southend. But, after wins

:12:40. > :12:43.for Scunthorpe and Burton, there are now just four points separating the

:12:44. > :12:45.top eight. Only two sides in the bottom half won today. Northampton

:12:46. > :12:49.ending Accrington's eight-match unbeaten run to move off the bottom,

:12:50. > :12:53.while Bristol Rovers won at home for the first time since August. Alan

:12:54. > :13:02.Knill's Torquay drop to bottom for the first time this season.

:13:03. > :13:07.That's your lot from us, but don't forget match of the Day 2 on Sunday

:13:08. > :13:11.night will round up the weekend's top flight games at 10.25pm on BBC

:13:12. > :13:14.One. We'll be back next Saturday with the best from the Championship

:13:15. > :13:24.at 11.45pm, straight after Match of the Day. Steve, thanks for your

:13:25. > :13:32.company. Thanks to you as well, Have a great week. Good night.
