:00:36. > :00:37.and England captain. Hello there.
:00:38. > :00:39.With August virtually done and dusted, it's been another
:00:40. > :00:41.relentless start to the new Skybet Football league season.
:00:42. > :00:45.A month which saw the almost inevitable
:00:46. > :00:49.outcome at Leeds, as Dave Hockaday became the latest to be handed his
:00:50. > :00:52.P45 by the club's colourful owner. While for the likes of MK Dons
:00:53. > :00:55.and the other Cup giant killers in midweek, a chance to round
:00:56. > :00:57.off a memorable week. Leroy's with me to reflect
:00:58. > :01:03.on Saturday's 35 games. And here's what's coming up.
:01:04. > :01:06.Having suffered four straight defeats, Fulham found themselves
:01:07. > :01:10.anchored to the bottom of the table. We'll find out whether Felix Magath
:01:11. > :01:17.could get his first point against fellow Championship new boys
:01:18. > :01:20.Cardiff in our feature match. With three wins in the last three,
:01:21. > :01:25.does Neil Adams have Norwich back on track for a quick return to
:01:26. > :01:30.the Premier League? I'm at Carrow Road for the visit
:01:31. > :01:33.of Bournemouth. Top of the table and scoring
:01:34. > :01:35.for fun, Stuart Pearce is clearly enjoying life at Nottingham Forest.
:01:36. > :01:43.We've extended highlights form their match at unbeaten
:01:44. > :01:46.Sheffield Wednesday. And after a slow start, Brighton are
:01:47. > :01:47.finding their feet under Sammi Hyppia, we'll see how the Seagulls
:01:48. > :02:04.got on against an in-form Charlton. got on against an in-form Charlton.
:02:05. > :02:07.Well, he may've come under-fire this week from the club's previous owner,
:02:08. > :02:09.but Fulham boss Felix Magath insists promotion back to the
:02:10. > :02:11.Premier League is still possible despite four straight defeats.
:02:12. > :02:14.On Saturday they hosted Cardiff, who so far had adapted far better
:02:15. > :02:16.to life in the Championship under manager Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer.
:02:17. > :02:20.Watching this one for us was Alistair Mann.
:02:21. > :02:31.There is no more fascinating tale in the championship than that of Fulham
:02:32. > :02:39.and the current woes. They face Cardiff at a beleaguered craving
:02:40. > :02:56.Cottage. Vidic progress make five changes including the goalkeeper for
:02:57. > :03:17.his first Premier league start. -- Craven Cottage.
:03:18. > :03:33.Free kick taken quickly. Harper goes in alone. Just flashes by the
:03:34. > :03:40.upright. Really quickly taken free kick by McCormick. Parker saw a gap
:03:41. > :03:52.and thought, why not. And you can see how close he came. Here is
:03:53. > :04:07.McCormick. Parker in support. Given away surprisingly by him. Nice play
:04:08. > :04:12.from Fulham. McCormick within a whisker of putting them in front. A
:04:13. > :04:18.lovely ball inside the defender and full-back. A little bit of
:04:19. > :04:26.encouragement for the Fulham supporters midweek. This is in
:04:27. > :04:53.league terms their first start since 1956. -- worst start. Corner.
:04:54. > :05:06.Corner rather wasted. And another corner. 21 minutes gone. Good early
:05:07. > :05:17.pressure from the hosts. Goes for the near post this time,
:05:18. > :05:22.Parker. Add a touch from Hoogland! A great start for full. And a goal
:05:23. > :05:33.that their early efforts have merited. Lovely ball in. Just the
:05:34. > :05:38.neatest of flicked header is by Hoogland. His second in the season.
:05:39. > :05:45.Makes him top scorer for Fulham. They only have three in total. The
:05:46. > :06:02.ball given away unnecessarily by Morrison. Fulham winning everything
:06:03. > :06:12.at the moment. Great ball in. It is all Fulham. A fabulous start. 27th
:06:13. > :06:20.minute and they are just hemming Cardiff City in. Good corner. Almost
:06:21. > :06:26.found its way straight in. Marshall just about got it. The frame of his
:06:27. > :06:36.goal helped him out as well. Has hurt himself in the process. The
:06:37. > :07:05.post came to the aid of the goalkeeper.
:07:06. > :07:21.Just off target. Terrific from Fulham. You wonder just why they are
:07:22. > :07:28.bottom of the table. Second attempt. Marshall saved the
:07:29. > :07:51.first. Woodrow on the turn and as far as it over the mark. -- fire is
:07:52. > :08:01.it. In towards Jones who was onside. And
:08:02. > :08:06.scores! You have to score more than one goal when you're on top and a
:08:07. > :08:18.Fulham have paid the ultimate tries were doing so. -- ultimate price.
:08:19. > :08:42.And the scorer Kenwyne Jones. This right through the body.
:08:43. > :08:50.McCormick get fit a second time. Straight into the body of Marshall.
:08:51. > :09:09.Could not get enough purchase on it. Good opening.
:09:10. > :09:15.Hoogland. Took a deflection. His short of target but then just
:09:16. > :09:20.catches the thigh of the man in front of him. And it spins
:09:21. > :09:32.dangerously towards the goal. Fulham corner. Hoogland could not get to
:09:33. > :09:37.it. Never got into the right shape. It
:09:38. > :09:46.was a presentable opening but the header miles of the target.
:09:47. > :10:01.We had some chances in the first half and we played well. We played
:10:02. > :10:08.emotionally but did not score. Often in football you do not get a second
:10:09. > :10:14.goal and then you concede. We have a lot of talented players and it is
:10:15. > :10:20.hard to pick them up. When you look at the fixture list for the season,
:10:21. > :10:27.you take a point away from Fulham and you're happy with that. Well
:10:28. > :10:36.Cardiff might look back at that as being invaluable. But Fulham, are we
:10:37. > :10:41.seeing some recovery, taken into account their results midweek as
:10:42. > :10:45.well? I did fear for their confidence but getting the results,
:10:46. > :10:51.they played with a lot of confidence. They were pleasing on
:10:52. > :10:54.the eye apart from the result. They did dominate for that period. But it
:10:55. > :11:01.is not good enough for the championship. You need to man up and
:11:02. > :11:07.show some strength and power. Which Cardiff did to get the equaliser.
:11:08. > :11:12.This young side. But if they want to be successful they need to be
:11:13. > :11:18.stronger. An interesting tussle midfield. Scott Parker is going to
:11:19. > :11:26.be instrumental for Fulham. He will be at the forefront. He was
:11:27. > :11:35.instrumental, he set the tempo. He plays a terrific ball out to Ross
:11:36. > :11:39.McCormack. And finishing with a really neat header. The crowd were
:11:40. > :11:49.back on their side. But they let Cardiff back in. Cardiff were much
:11:50. > :12:02.more with it in the second half. Much more aggressive. That initial
:12:03. > :12:06.challenge, they finish off really nicely. And that is worth Fulham
:12:07. > :12:11.have fallen short, in the physical battles. It is a long season in the
:12:12. > :12:16.championship. I think these young players have got it in them. They
:12:17. > :12:21.have the technique and the ability to win games. Well Norwich are back
:12:22. > :12:25.in the championship after three years away. They seem to have found
:12:26. > :12:39.their feet winning their last four games in competitions.
:12:40. > :12:43.There is always a lot of talk about the eye watering financial benefits
:12:44. > :12:48.of getting into the Premier league. But imagine what it is like to deal
:12:49. > :12:58.with the collateral damage if you're going in the opposite direction.
:12:59. > :13:03.Norwich City were relegated on the 11th of May. Instantly their
:13:04. > :13:08.turnover fell by half from 100 million, to 50 million. And their
:13:09. > :13:13.share of the championship rather than Premier League part of
:13:14. > :13:20.television and commercial revenues dropped from 66 million, to 26
:13:21. > :13:25.million. On the plus side they have balanced
:13:26. > :13:30.the books this summer with the sale of players like Leroy Fer and Robert
:13:31. > :13:35.Snodgrass. And after three seasons in the Premier league they are debt
:13:36. > :13:41.free. On the field they have placed their faith in the permanent
:13:42. > :13:45.managerial appointment of former player and under 18 's Academy
:13:46. > :13:51.coach. We surprised the club were willing to make an internal
:13:52. > :13:59.appointment as opposed to going outside? A club of this size of
:14:00. > :14:04.course you have got to go and have a look. I was naturally delighted. I
:14:05. > :14:09.am Norwich through and through. I have been here 20 years and this is
:14:10. > :14:16.my club. People know what I am about. I got offered the opportunity
:14:17. > :14:25.and grabbed it with both hands. Did it take long to get relegation out
:14:26. > :14:31.of your system? Yes, it hit us hard. It was shock. We were clinging to
:14:32. > :14:50.the hope that we would somehow avoided. How do you manage the
:14:51. > :14:59.disappointment of relegation? All we have done is being positive,
:15:00. > :15:06.focusing on what we are doing. We wanted to win the division, and last
:15:07. > :15:11.year is done and dusted. You lose your first two games, three games,
:15:12. > :15:15.four games, managers have gone, and everything is on the line. But you
:15:16. > :15:20.have to believe in your own ability. I have been coaching a long time,
:15:21. > :15:28.played a long time, and now I am a highest level, so I've been
:15:29. > :15:36.fortunate to get the opportunity. You get into it, you have a go at
:15:37. > :15:43.it. Last season everyone was doom and gloom, but this season it is all
:15:44. > :15:51.cheering. Neal Adams seems to have got us gelling as a team. It will
:15:52. > :15:59.start to show in the results. Anything other than targeting
:16:00. > :16:05.staying in the Premiership would be setting the bar tool oh. At three
:16:06. > :16:12.o'clock, it is up to them. Norwich had yet to lose at home. Lewis
:16:13. > :16:17.Grabban was facing his former club. He settled in quickly to his
:16:18. > :16:21.surroundings and claimed his fifth goal of the season. The visitors
:16:22. > :16:24.levelled through one of their own new recruits, Callum Wilson, ought
:16:25. > :16:30.from Coventry, looks an excellent acquisition.
:16:31. > :16:38.They had been beaten in their previous two games, but this was an
:16:39. > :16:39.improved display. Dan Gosling might have done better when presented with
:16:40. > :17:11.a goal-scoring opportunity. Lee Camp produced a brilliant save.
:17:12. > :17:18.If we don't win games at Carrow Road, we have let points slip, and
:17:19. > :17:26.we know that. It is a frustrating one, we felt we should have won
:17:27. > :17:29.today. Neil Adams left to reflect on what could have been. It was
:17:30. > :17:32.certainly in in courage and point for Bournemouth. But what about
:17:33. > :17:38.Norwich at the start they have made? I think it has been good. I
:17:39. > :17:45.was pleased with the appointment of Neil Adams. He is very grounded. He
:17:46. > :17:49.is someone the fans relate to. It is what Norwich needed. It was a poor
:17:50. > :17:53.season in the Premier League for them, and there hasn't been a big
:17:54. > :18:07.turnover of players. That has been important. Jerome has coming. But
:18:08. > :18:13.the key signing, Grabban, speaks volumes. They have plenty of talent,
:18:14. > :18:18.Michael Turner is a good centre-half. He has kept that group
:18:19. > :18:21.together, and they seem to have a good spirit. They will be
:18:22. > :18:25.disappointed not to pick up three points, but they will be strong in
:18:26. > :18:31.this division. Do you see them challenging? I do. The chief
:18:32. > :18:36.executives disappointed that they went down last year. 50 million in
:18:37. > :18:41.turnover. They want to go back, but they need a solid foundation. They
:18:42. > :18:46.have given them a realistic chance of an sing back. And that is the
:18:47. > :18:51.thing as far as the fans are concerned. The worst thing last
:18:52. > :18:57.these was the lack of goals. I might Gary Hooper before the transfer
:18:58. > :19:00.deadline ends. But bringing in someone with improving goal-scoring
:19:01. > :19:04.at this end, they have totally dealt with that. If they manage to keep
:19:05. > :19:18.Cooper, that'll make them even eager favourites to go up -- Cooper
:19:19. > :19:21.Hooper. Sheffield Wednesday took on the early leaders Nottingham Forest,
:19:22. > :19:32.who scored an impressive ten goals in their opening four games. They
:19:33. > :19:36.are two of the only three teams hunting for a win.
:19:37. > :19:56.Giles Coke. Could this be an early goal? No!
:19:57. > :20:02.Just good enough from Michael Mancienne. What a wonderful,
:20:03. > :20:06.threaded pass this is, trying to set up the ball, but Mancienne made a
:20:07. > :20:33.superb challenge. A useful cross, and the header is
:20:34. > :20:39.in. Henri Lansbury for Nottingham Forest! His best season for goals in
:20:40. > :20:45.his career last season, he provided seven. And on the marquee at
:20:46. > :20:53.Hillsborough. A long ball from Mancienne, Antonio was a handful
:20:54. > :20:56.there. And a beautifully timed run, Henri Lansbury. The leaders in
:20:57. > :21:20.front. The flag stays down. He has the
:21:21. > :21:31.pace, but not the accuracy. He was onside. Atdhe Nuhiu was off, but he
:21:32. > :21:35.didn't play any part in the play. Stuart Pearce frustrated there.
:21:36. > :21:44.Showing anger towards the official on his side.
:21:45. > :21:50.Full of rage as he thought this man, Stevie May, was offside. He stings
:21:51. > :22:10.the hands of Karl Darlow. Darlow trying to hold onto that.
:22:11. > :22:17.That was illegally hit by Maguire. Still the pressure on the league
:22:18. > :22:33.leaders, Forest. Maguire again, and that was heading on target. Until it
:22:34. > :22:35.struck Antonio, he is threatening. That is a terrific save, from
:22:36. > :23:03.outside of his six yard area. That was a fine save from Darlow.
:23:04. > :23:16.That was creeping under the bar, I fancy. An excellent effort here from
:23:17. > :23:28.Atdhe Nuhiu. Away by Coen. Sent back in again, and sometimes somehow it
:23:29. > :23:38.stayed out. Desperate defending. This was cleared by Coen. Nuhiu
:23:39. > :23:45.denied. It nearly dropped again for Loovens. I can't work out how we
:23:46. > :23:50.didn't score, how we got beat. Sometimes you don't get what you
:23:51. > :23:54.deserve will stop the way we started the game was fantastic, I thought we
:23:55. > :24:01.should have gone 1-0 up in the first human. Standing he disappointed
:24:02. > :24:04.shows how far we have come. We have to get back to be successful in this
:24:05. > :24:11.league, and there is more for all come from us. It is disappointing to
:24:12. > :24:14.think that we are a better football side than we have shown over the
:24:15. > :24:19.last seven days, but overall, I think the results of been good. The
:24:20. > :24:24.only thing we know and I am acutely aware of is that the only important
:24:25. > :24:27.thing is the next game. A great start for Nottingham Forest
:24:28. > :24:41.under Stuart Pearce, going into the rake at the top of the pile. A
:24:42. > :24:45.deserved win? He is a real handful of front, but Nottingham Forest have
:24:46. > :24:48.had that extra bit of quality. There appear to be games where they
:24:49. > :24:52.control it with their passing, and as soon as they have a goal, you
:24:53. > :24:56.felt that there were more likely to go and win the game. And they did
:24:57. > :25:03.that, they played well, they passed it well.
:25:04. > :25:16.Nottingham Forest have had exciting squads in different seasons,. He has
:25:17. > :25:22.shown again what a valuable player he is, Henri Lansbury. This is what
:25:23. > :25:29.he does. He was out of the side, came back in a midweek, got his
:25:30. > :25:37.goal, and continued that track. Stewart didn't know what a pick, he
:25:38. > :25:43.left Matty Fryatt out. It was a really good move. It is a dream
:25:44. > :25:51.start for Stuart Pearce, at his old club? Wins a dream start. I think it
:25:52. > :25:55.is an opportunity that you could have predicted knowing his
:25:56. > :25:59.connections. But it is the real passion to keep a clean sheet. At
:26:00. > :26:02.the end of that game, Sheffield Wednesday put them under pressure,
:26:03. > :26:10.and they were a bigger side than Forest. They showed grit and
:26:11. > :26:20.dissemination, like Stewart ears, is get the results. And that is any
:26:21. > :26:23.courage Insigne from Stuart Pearce. Sheffield Wednesday came in on
:26:24. > :26:30.November two and now have four wins. Hugely encouraging.
:26:31. > :26:35.Absolutely. Considering one of the main players was sold to Nottingham
:26:36. > :26:55.Forest at the start of the season, I think they have done it if it job.
:26:56. > :27:04.Four games on the way for you. Watford travelled to Huddersfield.
:27:05. > :27:10.This goal here was his 12th in his last ten home games. Gomez was
:27:11. > :27:17.demonstrating the type of goalkeeping that made him famous.
:27:18. > :27:27.Fortunately, the ball was offside. The keeper's luck didn't hold.
:27:28. > :27:38.Parity didn't last long. His first goal of the season restored
:27:39. > :27:47.Watford's lead. But Huddersfield were not down. Gomez grasping thin
:27:48. > :27:57.air as he was headed level at 2-2. The momentum seemed to swing towards
:27:58. > :28:01.the terrors Terriers. -- Terriers. But the ten men of Watford rose to
:28:02. > :28:10.the challenge, and made it 3-2 to the Hornet. Then in injury time,
:28:11. > :28:18.pressing hard for an equaliser, Abdi hit them on the break with his
:28:19. > :28:23.second. It was backs to the wall in the last 20 minutes, half an hour,
:28:24. > :28:27.when the player got sent off, so that is the pleasing side of the
:28:28. > :28:34.squad. They showed a lot of courage, a lot of resilience. There are a lot
:28:35. > :28:40.of games to come. Not for sale at any price.
:28:41. > :28:46.Blackburn's warning for any club hoping to snare Jordan Rhodes before
:28:47. > :28:51.the window closes. Opponents will have plenty of it, having seen off
:28:52. > :29:01.all three relegated sides already, Miller Dicko got the side off to a
:29:02. > :29:09.cracking start. Ben Marshall charged down this clearance, which needed
:29:10. > :29:16.Carl Ikeme's intervention to think about the scoreline. The home side
:29:17. > :29:23.refused to break their rhythm. This perfectly executed free kick. The
:29:24. > :29:28.Wolves boss has had the luxury of naming the same is side of the fifth
:29:29. > :29:33.league game on a spin. Consistency is elections in to be paying off.
:29:34. > :29:52.Matt Hetty would have extended the lead. -- Matt Doherty. 2-1 with
:29:53. > :29:58.still 30 minutes left to play. Hopes of a recovery soon disappeared.
:29:59. > :30:04.Eight minutes later Sakho killed off the game. Lifting Wolves up to
:30:05. > :30:10.third. In Jordan Rhodes they have one of
:30:11. > :30:16.the best strikers. We did well to cater for that. And then we could
:30:17. > :30:24.have had more goals especially in the second half. Derby's third home
:30:25. > :30:31.game in the space of a week was always going to be their toughest
:30:32. > :30:38.according to Steve McClaren. This attempted clearance went horribly
:30:39. > :30:44.wrong. Chris Martin pounced on the rebound. 25 goals last season, he
:30:45. > :30:53.already has four goals this time around. Things went downhill after
:30:54. > :31:04.that for the Rams. A suspected dislocated shoulder for the island
:31:05. > :31:10.International. -- Ireland. There have been concerns about the lack of
:31:11. > :31:16.creativity this season. But there was plenty of it in this move almost
:31:17. > :31:25.finished off by Paul Anderson. Ipswich looked for their first win
:31:26. > :31:31.since the opening weekend. Jamie Ward keeping them on their toes. But
:31:32. > :31:37.Derby could not get the gold they needed to continue their 100% record
:31:38. > :31:41.at home this season. We had a terrific start with the
:31:42. > :31:54.early goal. Second half, a great response.
:31:55. > :31:58.Charlton had their unbeaten league record to protect against a reshaped
:31:59. > :32:10.bright side. After three successive wins in league and cup, a shock for
:32:11. > :32:16.the whole team. -- home team. Brighton fans were impressed with
:32:17. > :32:22.their Liverpool loanee, a slippery customer. This superb stop prevented
:32:23. > :32:31.the hosts from pulling level immediately. Lewis Dunk got his
:32:32. > :32:38.first ever league goal. But they played themselves into trouble with
:32:39. > :32:45.15 minutes to go. The Angola international restored the lead for
:32:46. > :32:52.the London club. After that the red shirts proved impenetrable until the
:32:53. > :33:00.third minute of stoppage time. When three players were left unmarked.
:33:01. > :33:07.And Lewis Dunk struck again. It was an exciting game to watch.
:33:08. > :33:14.When you come twice from behind that shows the character of the team.
:33:15. > :33:22.The players gave me everything. It looked as if we were going to win
:33:23. > :33:32.but it everything can change. Watford, boasting goals from all
:33:33. > :33:40.areas of the pitch. It was a good one against Huddersfield. And what
:33:41. > :33:46.about Troy Deeney, signing a new deal? That was a big one. I think a
:33:47. > :33:53.lot of people were looking at him. He chose to stay at Watford and that
:33:54. > :34:00.shows real loyalty. This club helped him resurrect his career. He has a
:34:01. > :34:06.young family as well. But he is now back at Watford but he struggled in
:34:07. > :34:11.the Premier league. And now he is coming back to get his confidence
:34:12. > :34:18.back. He wants to go forward with Watford. Sometimes for championship
:34:19. > :34:23.strikers that is the best way to go. Stay with your club, show some
:34:24. > :34:49.loyalty. And you will be repaid by eventually get in into the Premier
:34:50. > :34:58.league. There are good group of players and some quality added as
:34:59. > :35:07.well. Sakho again showed loyalty. He has been a major part of what is
:35:08. > :35:16.happening there. And why not keep that momentum. They started as they
:35:17. > :35:21.left off last season. Your thoughts also on David McGoldrick. Not in the
:35:22. > :35:24.squad for Ipswich at Derby. A dead leg was the reason given but he is
:35:25. > :35:34.always linked with the Premier league side. Nervous times in the
:35:35. > :35:38.transfer window. Perry -- Premier League clubs can cherry pick the
:35:39. > :35:40.best players. If they take McGoldrick will be difficult to
:35:41. > :35:47.replace him. Well as for the rest
:35:48. > :35:50.of the Championship, we start at Elland Road where
:35:51. > :35:53.Leeds United fans were reacting to the news that Dave Hockaday's spell
:35:54. > :35:58.as head coach had failed to make it to the second month of the season.
:35:59. > :36:08.I think letting David Hockaday club -- letting him go was one of the
:36:09. > :36:15.best moves of the season. I think they need an experienced manager to
:36:16. > :36:20.pull people together. It is diabolical at the minute, no
:36:21. > :36:25.defence, no midfield. They should stick with someone who
:36:26. > :36:33.has been proven especially at this level. They should stay clear of an
:36:34. > :36:42.Italian manager, definitely. Leeds were looking for an improvement.
:36:43. > :36:50.Marcus of Ystrad just did enough to divert the ball to the crossbar. --
:36:51. > :36:59.Sylvester. An angled cross found the bottom
:37:00. > :37:11.corner. Leeds had to survive some worrying moments. Silvestri thwarted
:37:12. > :37:19.him once again. Jermaine Beckford was brought on. Fresh firepower. And
:37:20. > :37:28.almost the perfect introduction for the striker playing against his
:37:29. > :37:32.former club. Leeds held on. What has the president said to you,
:37:33. > :37:39.keep it going until someone new comes in? He asked me to help him
:37:40. > :37:47.and this is what I'm doing. They are good bunch of players, a young side.
:37:48. > :37:54.It is not a problem. We just take it game by game.
:37:55. > :38:04.We did not take the chances today. We have got to get out of these
:38:05. > :38:08.silly mistakes. After three league and cup games
:38:09. > :38:16.within -- without a win Millwall were soon back in business. Scott
:38:17. > :38:22.McDonald at the sharp end of the free kick routine. Millwall lost to
:38:23. > :38:28.Southampton in midweek. But they played better than the scoreline
:38:29. > :38:34.suggested. Here the side got what they deserved. McDonald revelling in
:38:35. > :38:36.a deeper role this season. Six minutes into the second half he
:38:37. > :38:42.provided the assist for Scott Malone.
:38:43. > :38:51.Blackpool made them sweat. 20 minutes from time substitute Nile
:38:52. > :38:57.Ranger buried in his first goal for his new club.
:38:58. > :39:02.The Tangerines suddenly sensed an opportunity for their first league
:39:03. > :39:09.point of the season. But the side still lacked quality. This shot
:39:10. > :39:15.never looked threatening. I'm delighted with the club and the
:39:16. > :39:20.people and pleased with the fans. We have had three games at home this
:39:21. > :39:25.week. We have lost two of them but you would not have known that.
:39:26. > :39:34.We were not effective through the whole game. We conceded a second
:39:35. > :39:44.goal. We had enough opportunity to get at least one point but we did
:39:45. > :39:48.not. Middlesbrough one at home to Reading
:39:49. > :39:55.last season. They almost did so again. But Reading found the net in
:39:56. > :40:02.the opening stages. Simon Cox rounding off a neat move seven
:40:03. > :40:16.minutes in. It is now back-to-back home league defeats for Boro. It
:40:17. > :40:26.came close when kite could not quite get the necessary connection on
:40:27. > :40:32.grand Leadbitter's ball. If we want to be in the highest
:40:33. > :40:39.position on the table we cannot lose those kind of games.
:40:40. > :40:47.We did well in the first game of the season. Today the defence have not
:40:48. > :40:52.really had any save to make. Brentford have gone behind so far in
:40:53. > :40:58.every league game and were almost in trouble when Broadfoot found the
:40:59. > :41:06.woodwork. Both sides are still finding their feet. But the Millers
:41:07. > :41:13.saw this as a chance to take maximum points. Paul Taylor was sent home
:41:14. > :41:19.ill on Friday but showed no lasting effects as he also chipped the
:41:20. > :41:24.paintwork. But Brentford showed that they can also be a threat going
:41:25. > :41:32.forward. Andre Gray brilliant in the first half stoppage time. The
:41:33. > :41:37.Millers aimed for a quick response after the break. Taylor once again
:41:38. > :41:44.denied as the Londoners continued to hold firm. They also had Scott Hogan
:41:45. > :41:59.structured off. But they could finally relax when the giant German
:42:00. > :42:04.had this simple tap in. We should win the game, same as
:42:05. > :42:12.Watford a week ago. Some fantastic play. Still have to get the ball in
:42:13. > :42:18.the net. A well organised team. We knew the threat that they posed. It
:42:19. > :42:25.is a good result and a good performance. Wigan hoped their first
:42:26. > :42:35.win of the season over black all would be a springboard for better
:42:36. > :42:40.things. -- Blackpool. James McArthur also almost returned to the Premier
:42:41. > :43:01.league with Leicester this week but the deal collapsed. This was a romp
:43:02. > :43:07.through. McManaman finishing again. City were suffering at the back once
:43:08. > :43:13.more. The scoreline got even worse with Wigan running rings around
:43:14. > :43:22.them. Sean Maloney setting up this goal.
:43:23. > :43:30.Paul Caddis got this long range shot. Scott Carson kept his sheet
:43:31. > :43:36.clean. Wigan appeared to have their Mojo back.
:43:37. > :43:47.I'm lost for words, really disappointed. We had a bit of a go
:43:48. > :43:53.at them in the second half. We were so flat from the first whistle.
:43:54. > :43:57.We made their keeper worked, never stopped attacking them. A real
:43:58. > :44:11.appetite for the goals today and a top-class performance. Two lovely
:44:12. > :44:18.goals from Callum McManaman. They unveiled a lovely striker at The
:44:19. > :44:24.DW, when the president hasn't decided where he is going yet! Andy
:44:25. > :44:29.thinks he is going to Wigan, but they obviously haven't finalised the
:44:30. > :44:32.deal. We heard from some of the Leeds fans
:44:33. > :44:39.as to what happened, because of course they dispensed with his
:44:40. > :44:45.services, Hockaday's that is. A sense of relief, you got from that
:44:46. > :44:55.piece there. There are two arguments to this. Who is going to want to
:44:56. > :45:01.manage Leeds, or perhaps who would pass up the opportunity to work with
:45:02. > :45:06.such a big club. Leeds is one of the biggest clubs in this country, and I
:45:07. > :45:11.think you would take the gamble. If you turn that club around, with the
:45:12. > :45:15.fan base it has, you will be hero. If you don't, you won't get much
:45:16. > :45:19.blame. You are working for a chairman who sacks managers. So I
:45:20. > :45:26.think a lot of people will want to take that job and take that gamble.
:45:27. > :45:29.Contrast in emotions with that Stephen Warnock golfer leads meaning
:45:30. > :45:35.they go into the break on a high as opposed to Bolton. Bolton are
:45:36. > :45:43.struggling now. Very uncomfortable there at the moment for Dougie
:45:44. > :45:46.Freedman, the fans are not happy. Against Leeds side without a
:45:47. > :45:50.manager, having gone through what they have gone through, they
:45:51. > :45:58.expected better from this season. Dougie Freedman has had time to
:45:59. > :46:02.bedding, and I'm sure he feels bad. Former Blackpool boss Ian Holloway
:46:03. > :46:09.and Millwall, after struggling to buy a player, he couldn't buy a win.
:46:10. > :46:13.It is incredible the manager only met with the chairman face-to-face
:46:14. > :46:18.after a five-week break. This is their worst start ever. You don't
:46:19. > :46:28.have a working relationship with your chairman of black wool, you
:46:29. > :46:35.have no chance. -- Blackpool. To League 1, and Fleetwood started
:46:36. > :46:36.the day at the top of the pile. Leyton Orient were fresh from their
:46:37. > :46:49.League Cup win on Wednesday night. Fleetwood started brightly, but
:46:50. > :46:58.found their opponents' power hard to get a grip with. Darius Henderson
:46:59. > :47:06.would not be denied, only the second league goal Fleetwood have conceded
:47:07. > :47:13.this season. Russell Slade's men paid the price. Fleetwood groundout
:47:14. > :47:23.the late opportunity that observed an unbeaten league record. Sub
:47:24. > :47:32.Stephen Dobbie sent the opponents back to London frustrated.
:47:33. > :47:38.The Peterborough bandwagon rolled impressively into Colchester, and
:47:39. > :47:49.took just three minutes to walk up -- Walmart. Sam Walker put his hand
:47:50. > :47:53.out to save this one, and the home side somehow survived the ensuing
:47:54. > :47:56.chaos. But Conor Washington made amends shortly afterwards when he
:47:57. > :48:03.timed his run to perfection and got his angle just right to put the Posh
:48:04. > :48:06.in front. The foundations of Peterborough's surged to the upper
:48:07. > :48:13.echelons of League 1 have been built on their away form, and they looked
:48:14. > :48:23.to be heading to a third win. Then could go see -- Kgosi pounced at the
:48:24. > :48:35.far post. But the flight back was rewarded
:48:36. > :48:40.when Freddie Sears was allowed to enjoy the freedom of the town for
:48:41. > :48:49.exchanging passes and finding the back of the net. He and the mascot
:48:50. > :48:57.will enjoy that. Posh are a class act and re-establish their 2-goal
:48:58. > :49:05.cushion thanks to Jermaine Anderson. The visitors ended the match with
:49:06. > :49:09.ten men after a seemingly innocuous challenge brought a second yellow.
:49:10. > :49:17.It made for an uncomfortable last ten minutes, but Peterborough were
:49:18. > :49:22.sitting pretty at the end. I have been delighted with them, they are
:49:23. > :49:26.good bunch. We made Asamoah start last season and it didn't quite work
:49:27. > :49:33.out. But the three away games shown me that they have the determination.
:49:34. > :49:38.These two came down together three years ago, but is strongly tipped to
:49:39. > :49:43.return this time around. Ahead of the international break, this would
:49:44. > :49:55.be a good result for both teams. Preston got an early lead, but the
:49:56. > :50:00.Blades still had plenty in the tank. United chased a fourth win on the
:50:01. > :50:05.bounce in all competitions. The second fast and furious as both
:50:06. > :50:07.sides pushed for a winner. Mark would ensure this one finished all
:50:08. > :50:21.square. -- Mark Howard. Buttons Lee Lucas decent yet to be
:50:22. > :50:26.among the promotion hopefuls this season. They dominated the first
:50:27. > :50:36.half. But they were second best after the break. Martin Cranie was
:50:37. > :50:39.born and raised in Yeovil, and even had two separate loan spells there,
:50:40. > :50:51.but had never scored for the Glovers. It could've been worse.
:50:52. > :50:58.Dodgy defending, but Conor Hourihane save the day. The County Ground
:50:59. > :51:19.tends to be a tough place for teams to go. Foderingham's hand was
:51:20. > :51:22.further in the second half. The keeper's excellent save kept Swindon
:51:23. > :51:27.in touch, and while Cooper admitted that his side were struggling after
:51:28. > :51:39.many hours of football midweek, they served a draw. Nathan Byrne picked
:51:40. > :51:42.up Raphael Rossi-Branco. On Friday night, they play at their proper
:51:43. > :51:48.home. Coventry have already sold their
:51:49. > :51:54.initial batch of tickets for that return to the Ricoh. They are going
:51:55. > :51:59.to a tremendous stadium and they will be a tremendous atmosphere. The
:52:00. > :52:04.supporters haven't been able to go for over a season. We saw
:52:05. > :52:10.Peterborough get a good away win. As Colchester, that inflicts further
:52:11. > :52:23.misery on Joe Dunne and his young side. It is one to remember for
:52:24. > :52:32.Jermaine Anderson full. He will certainly remember this one with a
:52:33. > :52:35.lot of emotion. They seem to be able to deal with that, sell players and
:52:36. > :52:40.move on, bring players through, so well done Darren Ferguson. Talk to
:52:41. > :52:45.us about Yeovil Town. What is going on there? It was a dramatic one
:52:46. > :52:50.season in the championship, some people would think that maybe they
:52:51. > :52:54.were going to battle against the tide to stay up, but here we are in
:52:55. > :52:58.League 1, and they are still waiting for their first home win since
:52:59. > :53:03.March. They have to put the championship behind them. You talk
:53:04. > :53:09.about the momentum when they get promotion. So there is a hangover?
:53:10. > :53:14.There is. I just feel that Garry Thompson is the right man to turn it
:53:15. > :53:18.around. He knows the club inside out, and will make the club a
:53:19. > :53:25.fortress again. Plenty of talent within the squad. Let's round of the
:53:26. > :53:29.other games in League 1. Stadium:mk, scene of one of the
:53:30. > :53:35.biggest cup shocks in midweek. MK Dons had to face Crawley Town at
:53:36. > :53:42.home. And follow-up of 4-0 cup win over
:53:43. > :53:52.Manchester United? The answer: With another professor -- impressive
:53:53. > :54:07.performance. Stadium:mk has become pretty much a fortress this season.
:54:08. > :54:20.They started with two wins, lost their way, but found their form
:54:21. > :54:23.again. Macfadyen saw red. The MK Dons keeper was at it again shortly
:54:24. > :54:28.afterwards as Crawley pressed for an equaliser. Conor Henderson tried his
:54:29. > :54:34.luck from distance, and Martin pulled off the spectacular. The
:54:35. > :54:37.majesty defence can certainly testify to the talents of Benik
:54:38. > :55:02.Afobe -- Manchester and defence. After their shock win over Leeds in
:55:03. > :55:09.the cup, Bradford almost received one themselves. The linesman's Flag
:55:10. > :55:14.ruined what had been a bright start for Rochdale, who were trailing on
:55:15. > :55:18.the hour mark. Jason Kennedy spent a memorable for years here, and use
:55:19. > :55:23.this game to account for the new season. Out of respect for his old
:55:24. > :55:28.club, he kept his emotions in check. Six minutes later, James Hanson
:55:29. > :55:45.finished up with this one. Doncaster problems at home have
:55:46. > :55:48.becoming problem chronic. The home side found themselves further behind
:55:49. > :55:59.in the second half. Paul Dickov felt that Luke McCullough took the ball
:56:00. > :56:00.here. Jonathan for once of Doncaster confirmed old's first win of the
:56:01. > :56:15.season. An end to end feisty affair Vale
:56:16. > :56:17.Park. Gary Roberts curled his shot against the post. The woodwork at
:56:18. > :56:29.both ends took a battering. But the Valiant is made their
:56:30. > :56:30.breakthrough shortly before half-time. The power of Mark
:56:31. > :56:41.Marshall surged into the box. Suddenly, having looked comfortable
:56:42. > :56:51.for much of the first half, the The Spireites were forced to hold on.
:56:52. > :56:56.Marshall on the charge again. Chesterfield regrouped at the break
:56:57. > :57:02.and struck straight after. Gary Roberts had his goal after all. Paul
:57:03. > :57:06.Cook's men didn't rest on their laurels. Soon Sam Morsy was driving
:57:07. > :57:12.forward, earning full marks for ambition. Still just the one goal in
:57:13. > :57:21.it, which turned out to be enough, even though Ian Evatt was lost to a
:57:22. > :57:27.second booking at the end of match that ended acrimoniously. Heated
:57:28. > :57:33.scenes after the final whistle when a player allegedly suffered racial
:57:34. > :57:36.abuse from the crowd. After losing heavily at Barnsley
:57:37. > :57:39.last weekend to a series of wonder goals, Gelling's players have been
:57:40. > :57:46.keeping notes, especially Bradley Dack. Peter Taylor's side had only
:57:47. > :57:50.won once at home since the start of the season, but they were in the
:57:51. > :57:55.mood to entertain, especially Cody McDonald, who was unlucky to find
:57:56. > :57:59.Ben Garratt on top form. Having struggled for much of last season,
:58:00. > :58:05.crew are finding it difficult again, especially the back. The 13th league
:58:06. > :58:10.goal they conceded this month was slightly unlucky. Fans are still
:58:11. > :58:16.waiting for their first league points, but they did it least test
:58:17. > :58:27.keeper Stephen Bywater. Gelling were just too good. -- Gillingham.
:58:28. > :58:36.Two teams facing that elusive first win, finding goals hard to come by.
:58:37. > :58:50.Down at the other end, 18-year-old Hakki della can -- Hakeeb Adelukan
:58:51. > :58:54.was causing problems as well. He stepped on the Gas once more after
:58:55. > :59:00.the break, and couldn't be caught. A fantastic solo goal, and
:59:01. > :59:05.Scunthorpe's first time this season. No better time to strike them when
:59:06. > :59:08.the Iron is hot. Six minutes later, Gary McSheffrey conjured up
:59:09. > :59:14.something equally as special. He couldn't have idiots we does. All
:59:15. > :59:21.smiles -- he couldn't have hit it sweeter. All smiles on the home
:59:22. > :59:28.bench. A good win that one, Scunthorpe
:59:29. > :59:33.beating Walsall. We saw two of the midweek giant killers, Radford and
:59:34. > :59:38.MK Dons, in action, and it wasn't a case of after the Lord Mayor's
:59:39. > :59:42.chauffeur either of them. To really impressive performances. I thought
:59:43. > :59:50.the MK Dons would have the biggest hangover, in all honesty. But Benik
:59:51. > :59:57.Afobe scored late on in the first half. Then the second there. But
:59:58. > :00:00.after that Yorkshire derby against Leeds, it is well done to Karl
:00:01. > :00:14.Robinson and Phil Parkinson for those performances. How hard is it
:00:15. > :00:18.to pick yourself up? Well you get an error of complacency that it is just
:00:19. > :00:24.going to happen. But you have got to go out and work. Both sides went out
:00:25. > :00:29.with the right attitude. MK Dons played really well in the first
:00:30. > :00:36.half. You have to give credit to both managers for getting the
:00:37. > :00:41.mentality right. It has been a tough opening section to the new season
:00:42. > :00:45.for Steve Davis. At Crewe it is almost a case of deja vu because
:00:46. > :00:50.they had the worst defence in that division last season. And it is
:00:51. > :00:59.happening again. They have now conceded 13 goals in five games.
:01:00. > :01:06.They do not close down. And that is finished brilliantly. There are
:01:07. > :01:10.unfortunate, the spin on the ball takes it into the back of the net.
:01:11. > :01:16.But this has been happening much to regularly. Perhaps a little bit
:01:17. > :01:26.jaded going into that game but they have got to defend better. And
:01:27. > :01:27.lacking goals. I think they may be looking to go into the loan market
:01:28. > :01:32.again. to the second month of the season.
:01:33. > :01:35.Time for League Two now and few would've predicted Morecambe to have
:01:36. > :01:39.a chance of ending August with a 100 per cent start to the new season.
:01:40. > :01:47.The Shrimps went in search of their fifth win in five away to Tranmere.
:01:48. > :01:55.It looks set to be business as usual for Morecambe with Captain Mark
:01:56. > :01:59.Hughes making the most of generous Tranmere defending just before
:02:00. > :02:10.half-time. But things would go downhill after the break. First slip
:02:11. > :02:16.presented this opportunity. The 20-year-old still had plenty to do
:02:17. > :02:22.but did it eventually. Then Mark Hughes had his afternoon brought to
:02:23. > :02:31.an early end after an off the ball incident. And in the final minute,
:02:32. > :02:41.Stockton swept in Mathilda's cross to earn Rovers just their second win
:02:42. > :02:48.of the season. -- Matt Hill. Newport posmack with Burton had
:02:49. > :02:58.ended their losing start. -- Newport's when. Ryan Taylor should
:02:59. > :03:06.have made an impression but dragged this shot wide. Jed Wallace also
:03:07. > :03:14.threatened but there was no way past and the stalemate remained. The free
:03:15. > :03:22.kick eluded everyone including keeper Paul Jones. Newport given the
:03:23. > :03:31.first victory of the campaign. It was a fantastic result against
:03:32. > :03:39.the team that has 11 games unbeaten. A fantastic away performance.
:03:40. > :03:45.It is frustrating. They frustrated us all afternoon.
:03:46. > :03:49.The game plan worked. Cheltenham hit the ground running against
:03:50. > :03:56.Hartlepool and stated their early attempt. John Marquis only arrived
:03:57. > :04:07.on loan from Will Wall this week but found his bearings quickly. --
:04:08. > :04:15.Millwall. John Marquis was denied yet again. Hartlepool must've
:04:16. > :04:18.thought they done enough to secure a much-needed point is the game
:04:19. > :04:23.drifted into injury time. But the footballing gods favoured
:04:24. > :04:33.Cheltenham. After grabbing the winner and his third goal of the
:04:34. > :04:43.season. -- Oscar. -- after. Alex MacDonald gave the Brewers
:04:44. > :04:56.deleted Mansfield. Burton's performance did not quite hit the
:04:57. > :05:03.heights of their cup win. Then came this match clinching second.
:05:04. > :05:08.Mansfield came back into it shortly afterwards. The Stags created more
:05:09. > :05:16.chances but Burton were lethal in front of goal.
:05:17. > :05:22.This was a bruising encounter that was no surprise when tempers flared
:05:23. > :05:36.later on. Robbie were lost his patience with three minutes to go.
:05:37. > :05:41.-- Weir. The allegedly headbutt may not have been worth the red card.
:05:42. > :05:51.But it was asking for trouble and trouble came.
:05:52. > :05:58.A terrible game on a terrible pitch was the verdict. Matt Ingram kept
:05:59. > :06:05.out look Somerfield and Steven Craig was denied by a smart stop from
:06:06. > :06:14.Michael Ingram. Ingram could not hold the free kick. It could've
:06:15. > :06:22.worse for Middlesbrough. Paul Hayes just about kept at bay.
:06:23. > :06:26.Shrewsbury were looking to carry on where they had left off against
:06:27. > :06:32.Leicester City in the Capital one Cup. Jordan Clarke proved the
:06:33. > :06:39.difference. Matt Tyler left badly exposed from his opening
:06:40. > :06:48.contribution. No complaints about Shrewsbury's second. Scott Brennan
:06:49. > :06:54.had been brought in upfront and struck the other side bar and then
:06:55. > :06:57.squandered the second attempt. The forgettable afternoon for illusion
:06:58. > :07:02.was complete when Matt Robinson was red carded. They finished the game
:07:03. > :07:11.with ten men. It is now five games without a win in all competitions.
:07:12. > :07:17.As a manager you look at the passing and the way we defended and the way
:07:18. > :07:24.we continually did the things we were asking them to do. So I have to
:07:25. > :07:39.be delighted with that. Very start of the campaign like a
:07:40. > :07:42.proverbial train. -- Bury started. But the visitors went in front and
:07:43. > :07:47.the home side had it all to do. Fortunately they had Danny Rose and
:07:48. > :07:57.his fourth goal in as many games restored parity. The visitors were
:07:58. > :08:00.undone by a double dose, Danny Rose and Danny Meier. He does not score
:08:01. > :08:07.too many goals but when he does they tend to be special. Jimmy McNulty
:08:08. > :08:10.was sent off for a second yellow card following a tangle of legs with
:08:11. > :08:17.James Gray. But of little consolation to Accrington who are
:08:18. > :08:23.now bottom of the league. Southend's chances of return to form
:08:24. > :08:31.suffered an early blow at Plymouth. Bolger finding himself outfoxed.
:08:32. > :08:39.Collecting a yellow card on both occasions. Plymouth made the extra
:08:40. > :08:45.man count in the second half. An enterprising run allowing Alessandro
:08:46. > :08:51.to find his first goal of the season. The Plymouth flying
:08:52. > :09:02.full-backs were a feature of the game. The Pilgrims's second win of
:09:03. > :09:12.the season was eventually confirmed with 22 minutes to go. Alessandro
:09:13. > :09:18.the creator this time. Read the scorer.
:09:19. > :09:29.This was a cracking game including a crazy goal. Matt Tubbs, his fifth
:09:30. > :09:37.goal in six games. Dean Wells opened his Stevenage account following this
:09:38. > :09:40.free kick onto the bar. Next came the goal everyone was talking about
:09:41. > :09:46.afterwards. Graham Westley said he was convinced that Cameron Lancaster
:09:47. > :09:51.was aiming for a team-mate in the box rather than the top corner. A
:09:52. > :10:17.more conventional effort gave Westley side some breathing space.
:10:18. > :10:26.Little has gone right off late for Oxford United. So an early goal was
:10:27. > :10:33.welcome. The response was not long in coming. Ashley Hemmings put them
:10:34. > :10:39.level on an eventful afternoon. No shortage of goalmouth incidents as
:10:40. > :10:45.the Douglas restored parity with the easiest of finishes. Potter got away
:10:46. > :10:56.from his marker only to hit the base of the post. Dagenham Redbridge
:10:57. > :11:05.went in front for the first time. Danny Hilton showed his aerial
:11:06. > :11:13.strength to make it 2-2. The contest back in the balance. The Daggers
:11:14. > :11:19.were troubled by power and pace. Hilton claimed his second of the
:11:20. > :11:28.match. In sight of that long overdue league success. Abu Ogogo left the
:11:29. > :11:32.best until last. No chance for George Long in that home goal. And
:11:33. > :11:39.the adventures approach of the Daggers had been rewarded.
:11:40. > :11:44.We conceded three goals but scored three very good goals against a good
:11:45. > :11:50.Oxford team. It looks as if the wretched season
:11:51. > :11:59.for Exeter could have been on the turn. With no wins and many
:12:00. > :12:07.injuries, they needed luck and the judgement of goalkeeper Christy Pym.
:12:08. > :12:18.But they thought they were getting a point, without reckoning on Richard.
:12:19. > :12:23.The rest is history. Carlisle hopes of a first win of the
:12:24. > :12:30.season and were effectively over by half-time. Cambridge going ahead
:12:31. > :12:40.with this goal to trigger a terrible 20 minutes for the Cumbrians. Robbie
:12:41. > :12:47.Simpson also opened his Cambridge account. The manner of the defeat
:12:48. > :12:57.heaped more pressure on the Carlisle boss. It was a day to forget but the
:12:58. > :13:03.visitors. But Jayden Stockley enjoyed a debut to remember. He came
:13:04. > :13:10.on with just a quarter of an hour to play but still managed to bag to
:13:11. > :13:22.goal. -- two goals. Completing a very good day at the office for
:13:23. > :13:25.Cambridge. If your objective is to win the game and score goals and
:13:26. > :13:31.keep a clean sheet. We have been able to do all of those three today.
:13:32. > :13:38.I think we were much better in both boxes today, but I think the result
:13:39. > :13:44.was burned not just today but last weekend as well.
:13:45. > :13:47.It was a bit of a wait for Cambridge's next win after that
:13:48. > :13:56.opening-day success. But it was worth it. Really impressive from
:13:57. > :14:02.Richard Money's men. A bit concerned, to go without winning a
:14:03. > :14:08.game since the opening day, to win by that sort of margin will give
:14:09. > :14:11.them a lot of confidence. As Tranmere against Morecambe,
:14:12. > :14:14.first-ever league meeting against the two. But they turned the table,
:14:15. > :14:20.Tranmere, after Morgan took believed. It was a fine way to get
:14:21. > :14:33.their first home win of the season. Stockton signed a new contract
:14:34. > :14:39.recently, 20 years old. They have a good young group of players, local
:14:40. > :14:50.players, and they are trying to add more youngsters. It bodes well.
:14:51. > :14:58.Morecambe ruling Christian top spot to Burton. A fantastic start to the
:14:59. > :15:09.campaign, and this after successive disappointment. Morecambe gave up
:15:10. > :15:14.their top spot. There is a rid resilience there. I fancy Burton to
:15:15. > :15:18.do well this season. I don't think they will make that mistake again,
:15:19. > :15:24.and they are team to be reckoned with. Have we seen an early
:15:25. > :15:30.contender for goal of the season from Cameron Lancaster? A lot of
:15:31. > :15:37.people will be asking, did he mean this? He says he did! He was aiming
:15:38. > :15:43.for that top corner, and that is where it ends up. Growing up, Mark
:15:44. > :15:49.Robins epitomised the tag of super sub. Koby Arthur for Cheltenham
:15:50. > :15:54.Town, what a story. Five appearances, five substitutions,
:15:55. > :16:03.three goals, top scorer. Keywords like that tag! -- he won't like that
:16:04. > :16:10.tag. But they should try him starting a few.
:16:11. > :16:19.Exeter, no win in six, a turbulent start to the new campaign. Yes,
:16:20. > :16:25.concern from the supporters. He has a transfer embargo and can only work
:16:26. > :16:28.with the players he has got. He has actually registered himself as a
:16:29. > :16:32.player as well. But there are things they can be proud of, a couple of
:16:33. > :16:36.players picked for the under 20s, so they need to be given time to find
:16:37. > :16:41.their feet. Lets have a look at the tables.
:16:42. > :16:50.Nottingham Forest remain top of the championship. Newly promoted Wolves
:16:51. > :16:53.move up to third. Blackpool remain the only side without a point after
:16:54. > :16:59.a fifth straight defeat, their worst ever start to a season. Bolton
:17:00. > :17:07.slumps to a third straight loss. Peterborough go top. Giant killers
:17:08. > :17:19.MK Dons and Bradford both enjoyed wins. Crewe are bottom after the
:17:20. > :17:28.worst start to a league season in 33 years. No side it has conceded more
:17:29. > :17:35.goals so far. Burton move to the top to cap a great week for the Brewers.
:17:36. > :17:39.Shrewsbury Town Cheltenham are the only other sides to remain unbeaten.
:17:40. > :17:43.Oxford moved off the bottom after their first point of the campaign to
:17:44. > :17:51.be replaced by Accrington. York trot to 17th. A reminder before we go
:17:52. > :17:56.that Match Of The Day two on Sunday night is the place to catch up with
:17:57. > :18:01.the weekend's Premier League action. Leroy, thank you for your company.
:18:02. > :18:54.See you next time. From all of us here, goodbye.
:18:55. > :19:04.This year, the world's greatest half-marathon
