:01:33. > :01:35.to? Yes, it's from Yvonne, "Well done to team Scotland for having

:01:36. > :01:43.their best ever Commonwealth Games." CHEERING

:02:00. > :02:07.Around the bar, we have Northern Ireland's bowlers who won silver.

:02:08. > :02:11.CHEERING More English badminton players than

:02:12. > :02:17.you could shake a racquet at, at the back. They're all with their silver

:02:18. > :02:19.medals as well. We'll reflect on the athletics, on the swimming, table

:02:20. > :02:27.tennis, on the squash, which was fantastic. Amazing, wasn't it? I

:02:28. > :02:31.love that, the Cube. It's brilliant. Live sport is still going on. The

:02:32. > :02:36.women's boxing is going on. Nicola Adams is in action, on the red

:02:37. > :02:42.button if you want to watch it. Send us your questions and use tachetag

:02:43. > :02:47.tonight at the Games. Rebecca Adlington and Tanni Grey-Thompson as

:02:48. > :02:56.well. And a big rounds after plauz for our band, The Federation.

:02:57. > :03:00.APPLAUSE We will crack on with the action,

:03:01. > :03:02.starting at Hampden, parked to the rafters today for the athletics,

:03:03. > :03:15.with seven golds up for grabs. Here he goes, second attempt. That's

:03:16. > :03:24.a better finish. He hits that cleanly. He's happy with that.

:03:25. > :03:29.That improves his lead. The next man up, discus man. He needs to go

:03:30. > :03:35.somewhere around 58 metres or more to get above Aled Davies. That's a

:03:36. > :03:40.good throw for Dan. That's out there, close to 60 metres, his

:03:41. > :03:46.lifetime best, a wonderful Gold Medal for Dan Greaves of England.

:03:47. > :03:55.Oh, that's a big one. Look, she likes that.

:03:56. > :04:00.They know straight away. Only just inside the target area, but you can

:04:01. > :04:13.see where the 70-metre mark is. It looks as though that is another

:04:14. > :04:21.Games record. Sophie Hihchon is in bronze medal position. She launches

:04:22. > :04:24.it. Well, she's going to fall shy of the 70-metre linement Tremendous

:04:25. > :04:34.effort though, she put everything into that. Bronze medal for Sophie

:04:35. > :04:41.Hihchon. Sultana Frizell has successfully defended her title from

:04:42. > :04:49.four years ago. Having a dinning-dong battle in the shot

:04:50. > :04:56.putt. -- ding-dong. He takes the lead at the moment and he takes the

:04:57. > :05:04.Games record. Richards, the Commonwealth champion for men's shot

:05:05. > :05:08.putt. Jones is going well, the Welshman.

:05:09. > :05:17.Du Toit is trying to put the South African under pressure. He's done

:05:18. > :05:23.it. A clean start and Libby Clegg has gone out wonderfully well. Mikel

:05:24. > :05:30.Huggins is giving her instructions. Here comes Libby Clegg.

:05:31. > :05:37.The sun comes out, the crowd goes wild. That is Commonwealth gold for

:05:38. > :05:42.Scotland. So, we are waiting for Libby Clegg

:05:43. > :05:48.to get here. We have our fingers crossed. Her lap of honour took 45

:05:49. > :05:53.minutes. Let her enjoy that. Delight Delighted to say Baroness Tanni

:05:54. > :05:58.Grey-Thompson is with us. APPLAUSE

:05:59. > :06:02.Ladies and gentleman, also in the house, as they say in those cool

:06:03. > :06:07.places, we have the gold and Silver Medal from the discus, Dan Greaves

:06:08. > :06:08.groves and captain of the Wales team Aled Davies are here.

:06:09. > :06:38.APPLAUSE If you want a bit more room, chuck

:06:39. > :06:41.Clive over here. I'll put him here. Many congratulations. Tight

:06:42. > :06:50.competition. And you're good mates, aren't you? Yeah, yeah. That's what

:06:51. > :06:54.makes it so hard. We've competed against each other for years, but

:06:55. > :07:00.not to this level. It was war out there today. You do look as if you

:07:01. > :07:06.could be brothers. I'm the prettier one, though. I was just going to say

:07:07. > :07:10.that, actually. Given that you are good friends, when either of you

:07:11. > :07:15.aren't throwing, do you talk to each other or do you try to stay in your

:07:16. > :07:22.own space? Today was emotional for us both, because this comes around

:07:23. > :07:26.for us once in a lifetime. We don't know if we will get this chance

:07:27. > :07:30.again to be part of an inclusive Games. I didn't know how to treat

:07:31. > :07:35.the situation. I let Dan do his thing. He let me do my thing. I

:07:36. > :07:39.think we just both wanted to deliver performances that we could be proud

:07:40. > :07:45.of. Dan, for you, the Commonwealth Games is in your bones, isn't it?

:07:46. > :07:53.I'd say, yeah. In the loins. All right! Oh, yeah. Explain. I'll

:07:54. > :07:57.explain. My mother in 1982 on October 4 gave birth to me during

:07:58. > :08:02.the Commonwealth Games. So I'd say it's kind of fate that I'm in the

:08:03. > :08:05.Commonwealth Games and fortunate enough to have this around my neck.

:08:06. > :08:10.Is this the biggest moment in your sporting life? Yeah, it's up there.

:08:11. > :08:17.Paralympic gold in 2004 was a real special one for me. But as an

:08:18. > :08:19.able-bodied multisport Games being inclusive and bringing back the Gold

:08:20. > :08:24.Medal for England, which I don't often compete for England, it's just

:08:25. > :08:28.a massive honour. Aled, it's always difficult interviewing Silver

:08:29. > :08:31.Medallists, because for somebody like me or the people in this room,

:08:32. > :08:37.winning a Silver Medal at anything would be fantastic. And yet, you

:08:38. > :08:40.obviously aim for gold. So that's quite powerful when you get the

:08:41. > :08:45.Silver Medal, it's a rubbish question, you begin by going, "How

:08:46. > :08:49.do you feel? It's a mixed bag. Me and Dan, he's the best in the world

:08:50. > :08:52.at his category. I'm number one in mine. We knew it was going to be

:08:53. > :08:56.whoever is better on the day. Dan was the better man. I've looked up

:08:57. > :09:00.to him my whole career. If I could go out there and give him a run for

:09:01. > :09:04.his money, I would have been happy. He came through in the end and

:09:05. > :09:09.pipped me. It's one of those At least things. You've got the looks.

:09:10. > :09:14.And you're younger as well. Ten years. How did you find it to watch,

:09:15. > :09:22.I thought it was enthralling? Really hard actually. I've known Dan for...

:09:23. > :09:27.Forever. And being Welsh, then I kind of have quite divided opinions.

:09:28. > :09:30.It was an amazing competition. That's great. That's what

:09:31. > :09:34.Commonwealth Games highlights, at the top level in each of the para

:09:35. > :09:37.sports, the competition is We saw tight. Libby Clegg winning in the

:09:38. > :09:41.100m with her guide runner, what tight. Libby Clegg winning in the

:09:42. > :09:46.response from Hampden, as one would expect, but oh! It was amazing. When

:09:47. > :09:50.she was announced on the track and I was meant to be co-commentating on

:09:51. > :09:56.the race, I didn't see who came second and third because it was such

:09:57. > :10:01.a superb race. It was hers to lose. That's based on a PB and season's

:10:02. > :10:05.best. She ran a really strong technical race. It was amazing. We

:10:06. > :10:08.talk about the integration in these Games. You said you don't know

:10:09. > :10:13.whether there'll be other integrated Games, whilst you are a competitor.

:10:14. > :10:19.But this must surely send a message that this is the way forward,

:10:20. > :10:22.doesn't it? People are on about combining the Olympics and

:10:23. > :10:27.Paralympics, personally I don't think they need to. The Paralympics

:10:28. > :10:38.are big enough on its own. There are enough events. But other events?

:10:39. > :10:42.It's amazing what this Games has done bringing able-bodied and para

:10:43. > :10:45.athletes together. It's a unique experience. I am hoping that it can

:10:46. > :10:51.develop into something in the future, but it's nice to see that

:10:52. > :10:56.people are coming out and supporting para sport. Even I felt Scottish!

:10:57. > :11:04.The Wales captain saying that. APPLAUSE

:11:05. > :11:09.It's been amazingism feel lucky to be here. You get to enjoy the rest

:11:10. > :11:14.of the Games? Yeah the European Championships are in two weeks in

:11:15. > :11:17.Swansea. A couple of days off to let this sink in and then back to the

:11:18. > :11:22.grind for hopefully defending European title. Congratulations to

:11:23. > :11:22.you both. Give them both a big round after plauz once again.

:11:23. > :11:32.APPLAUSE We found out who were the fastest

:11:33. > :11:46.man and woman in the Commonwealth. COMMENTATOR: Hampden Park falls

:11:47. > :11:52.silent for the Commonwealth Games women's 100m final.

:11:53. > :11:58.Away first time, Campbell-Brown quickest out of the blocks. Here

:11:59. > :12:03.comes the drive from the tall Nigerian. Okagbare storming to the

:12:04. > :12:07.Gold Medal. Campbell-Brown second. Stewart gets third. What a run. What

:12:08. > :12:14.a run. I'm so excited right now. A new

:12:15. > :12:17.season's best, a win. You know my work has been based on the

:12:18. > :12:21.Commonwealth Games. I was about to put up a show.

:12:22. > :12:36.The men's 100m final. Gemili gets away really well. Fraser

:12:37. > :12:45.going well. Gemili has gone with him. It's going to be Bailey-Cole.

:12:46. > :12:48.The gold goes to Jamaica once more. Ten-flat the winning time. Gemili

:12:49. > :12:57.has got the Silver Medal! Look how much that means to him. A coming of

:12:58. > :13:02.age for the 20-year-old. This is my first senior medal. I'm speechless.

:13:03. > :13:05.The reception I got was brilliant. It's not about times, it's about

:13:06. > :13:11.position. I've done. It I'm really over the moon. We've had a lot of

:13:12. > :13:17.tweets about Adam Gemili, we'll read some of them out in a moment. First

:13:18. > :13:20.Blessing Okagbare who was mightily impressive and put previous

:13:21. > :13:26.disappointments behind her. It was fantastic. It was really great for

:13:27. > :13:32.me as an athletics fan in the studio list tong Michael Johnson and Denise

:13:33. > :13:35.Lewis talking about the race while having Steve Cram in my ear

:13:36. > :13:40.commentating. Everyone was pleased with her today. There's lots of talk

:13:41. > :13:43.about who's not here, when we look at the races today, there's

:13:44. > :13:46.fantastic athletics. What are they saying whilst the race is going on.

:13:47. > :13:50.You get this privileged position. You can hear what they're saying,

:13:51. > :13:55.whilst the race is taking place. There's a lot of cheering going on,

:13:56. > :13:59.a few "Why are they doing that? It's like, who else would you want to be

:14:00. > :14:05.listening to when you're watching. It's cool. That's like me at the

:14:06. > :14:11.swimming with Becki and Mark. We all stand up and start cheering. The

:14:12. > :14:17.men's 100m, Jamaican sprinting is so strong that they can still win it.

:14:18. > :14:21.Yeah, again, that was expected but Adam you know. So lovely. We were

:14:22. > :14:27.just shouting for that, for the first 60 metres he had an amazing

:14:28. > :14:30.start and we couldn't quite see on the finish line whether he had the

:14:31. > :14:36.silver or not. So really proud of what he did. Just phenomenal

:14:37. > :14:41.running. The two of them alongside each other and he's so small in

:14:42. > :14:45.comparison. There's a real contrast in physique and running styles.

:14:46. > :14:49.Completely. Do you know what, the privilege of being here is you get

:14:50. > :14:52.to see the expressions on athletes' faces. The crowd is so close to the

:14:53. > :14:59.track, it's really lovely to get that emotion. Bailey-Cole looked

:15:00. > :15:03.like he pulled up lame. Yeah, they're all starting to look across

:15:04. > :15:07.as well, which always worries me in a sprint, where they look either

:15:08. > :15:12.side. Just look ahead and don't worry. There's so much you can't do

:15:13. > :15:17.at that stage. Jake, "Adam Gemili has shown he has more in his

:15:18. > :15:21.locker." That's one of the tweets. "My favourite moment of the Games

:15:22. > :15:26.was either the Nigerian table tennis team getting told off for their

:15:27. > :15:34.shorts down celebrations" if you haven't seen that... I haven't. I'm

:15:35. > :15:39.sure it's on the BBC Sport website. Or she says, Gemili smiling once he

:15:40. > :15:50.realised he had the silver. #tonight at the games to keep those coming.

:15:51. > :15:55.Here at Pacific Quay there are all kinds of things going on outside.

:15:56. > :16:34.And tonight saw a live performance from a very popular Scottish band.

:16:35. > :16:46.And they are with us now! Thank you for coming in. What was that like?

:16:47. > :16:51.Fantastic. It is great to be here again playing on the banks of the

:16:52. > :16:57.River Clyde where we all grew up. For us it was special. We have all

:16:58. > :17:01.our family down as well. Not only did we get to play but we got to see

:17:02. > :17:08.the family, so coming back to Glasgow is always special. And did

:17:09. > :17:12.they give you tickets for events? We have been really busy this summer,

:17:13. > :17:17.travelling, so we try to catch as many events as we could but only

:17:18. > :17:32.through the BBC. I love it! That is not why we got them on! And did you

:17:33. > :17:36.borrow Clyde? Yes, but he was all over the place, crowd surfing at one

:17:37. > :17:42.point. I had to get him back because I know he wanted to make a TV

:17:43. > :17:54.appearance. You could have lost him. No, my eyes were firmly on him. He

:17:55. > :18:00.was always coming back. At one point he came back at a frightening speed!

:18:01. > :18:08.I am so glad that Wet Wet Wet are here. And I hope you appreciate our

:18:09. > :18:11.band, The Federation. To get away from this excitement, in the

:18:12. > :18:15.mornings I tend to go for a walk around Glasgow and this morning I

:18:16. > :18:19.went to the West End and Kelvingrove park. It was absolutely lovely and I

:18:20. > :18:21.could hear all this noise because the lawn bowls was going on and this

:18:22. > :18:40.is what happened today. It is the year 1522 and the first

:18:41. > :18:43.Duke of Suffolk unwittingly invent a brand-new sport. Fast forward 500

:18:44. > :18:45.years and it is an integral part of the Commonwealth Games, having

:18:46. > :18:54.featured in all of them. It requires grace and deafness of touch. Welcome

:18:55. > :18:59.to the world of lawn bowls. -- deft touch. We are at the picturesque

:19:00. > :19:04.Kelvingrove to witness the men's pairs final. This is a match between

:19:05. > :19:09.an unknown quantity, the two Malaysian fellows, and the best in

:19:10. > :19:14.the world, the Scottish pairing of Alex Marshall and Paul Foster. This

:19:15. > :19:16.is the biggest prize in global world bowls, so expect competition to be

:19:17. > :19:32.fierce. Good opening couple of ends.

:19:33. > :19:39.Shelling peas. Gentle but effective start for Scotland. Not looking good

:19:40. > :19:45.for Malaysia. Down and it is 10-0 to Scotland. Those Malaysian boys know

:19:46. > :19:56.exactly how those Brazilian footballers felt. In the area. Down

:19:57. > :20:01.the split! Got it. This is just getting worse and worse for

:20:02. > :20:09.Malaysia. He has got the gap. He has run through. Still looks like one to

:20:10. > :20:17.Scotland. Why is it going? Out there on the side. Wonderful. Malaysia got

:20:18. > :20:29.two precious points. The comeback is on! He knew he was wide. Two in a

:20:30. > :20:36.row. 19-threes. This match will be over pretty soon. And it is. On

:20:37. > :20:40.over. The Scottish pair of Alex Marshall and Paul Foster dominated

:20:41. > :20:41.the final. Elsewhere the home nations have not

:20:42. > :20:46.the final. Elsewhere the home nations have been faring badly. In

:20:47. > :20:50.men's triples, Northern Ireland got silver and Wales got bronze but the

:20:51. > :20:55.winners were South Africa. I have loved being at the bowls today. You

:20:56. > :21:05.could say I have been bowled over by it. Hashtag bad joke! Dreadful!

:21:06. > :21:06.Let's bring on the next Scottish gold medallists. Alex Marshall and

:21:07. > :21:36.Paul Foster! Did you know going into it that that

:21:37. > :21:41.would be the 12th for Scotland and would break the record? Was that not

:21:42. > :21:47.even in the thinking? We got told first thing this morning that if we

:21:48. > :21:52.got the gold medal it would be a record breaker. It put some pressure

:21:53. > :21:58.on us. Not too much bother. It didn't show. We managed to come up

:21:59. > :22:02.with the goods. Paul was magnificent day, phenomenal for the first ten

:22:03. > :22:07.ends and did not give the Malaysians a chance. I have to thank him for

:22:08. > :22:15.his performance this morning. You batted them. It was all over. You

:22:16. > :22:20.were 19-0 up. They are a strong pair but you have to get out of the traps

:22:21. > :22:24.very quickly. It settles you down and gives you confidence. Alex was

:22:25. > :22:29.paying you tribute but I am sure you will do the same for him for the

:22:30. > :22:33.semifinal against England because it was an extraordinary comeback. It

:22:34. > :22:39.was incredible. Two of the best I have seen in my life. Under

:22:40. > :22:43.pressure. I was getting emotional and carried away. I was so confident

:22:44. > :22:45.there would be another shot and it was absolutely amazing. And not

:22:46. > :23:08.knowing where the camera is! That is going into our top ten! Are

:23:09. > :23:12.you hiding your eyes seeing that again? Yes, with the celebrations,

:23:13. > :23:16.you get caught up in the motions at the time. It was more of a

:23:17. > :23:21.celebration than anything else but when you play two bowls like that,

:23:22. > :23:27.the best in my life, you have got to celebrate in some way. Just really

:23:28. > :23:31.happy. Have you had a chance to celebrate since winning gold? Not

:23:32. > :23:36.really. The media attention is fantastic but I had to go back to

:23:37. > :23:41.the hotel and get ready because we are still competing in the fours and

:23:42. > :23:49.we managed to compete against Kenya and win this afternoon. This

:23:50. > :23:55.afternoon? Yes, 5:45pm. I had ten or 15 minutes to prepare myself and go

:23:56. > :24:00.back and play tonight. That sounds slightly unfair. I understand why

:24:01. > :24:06.competitors have to be drug tested but that does not necessarily make

:24:07. > :24:13.it a level playing field for your next game. It could have waited

:24:14. > :24:19.until afterwards, yes. I was taken at 2:45pm and I had to go to the

:24:20. > :24:26.toilet! We love those tales! I have wanted to ask you this. Everybody

:24:27. > :24:33.calls you Tatty but why? When I was about three, I could not say daddy.

:24:34. > :24:37.People think it is because I eat potatoes and crisps! Far from it. It

:24:38. > :24:43.is purely because I could not say daddy when I was younger. You are

:24:44. > :24:53.the daddy of bowls. Fantastic stuff. That gold medal meant that Scotland

:24:54. > :24:58.broke their record with 12 gold medals. I expect Team Scotland is a

:24:59. > :25:02.pretty good place right now. I know you are having a great time at

:25:03. > :25:13.Pacific key with a cocktail shaker, live audience and band, but here we

:25:14. > :25:18.have all this! We have got an amazing crowd in

:25:19. > :25:28.tonight celebrating at the home of Team Scotland. And today is an

:25:29. > :25:32.historic day. More gold medals in the Commonwealth Games than ever

:25:33. > :25:38.before for Scotland. What do we think of that?

:25:39. > :25:43.CROWD CHEERS We have a fantastic line-up of live

:25:44. > :25:46.music coming up as part of the festival happening across Scotland,

:25:47. > :25:51.wrapping around the amazing sport we have been enjoying for the last few

:25:52. > :25:56.days and will continue to enjoy. We have music and entertainment at live

:25:57. > :26:03.venues and everybody is having a fantastic time. The party is about

:26:04. > :26:08.to get under way. Yes! Huge relief to find I am not the first artist on

:26:09. > :26:15.stage! That honour goes to this fantastic band. They are from the

:26:16. > :26:20.Western Isles and it is great to have them here. Robert Robertson is

:26:21. > :26:24.the lead singer. You have had fantastic success, topping the world

:26:25. > :26:30.music charts. Give me an idea of what music you will be playing. Here

:26:31. > :26:44.we have some bagpipes, some tune sets, and we have a song that myself

:26:45. > :26:56.and Angus wrote. Some Gaelic to noes Gaelic -- some Gaelic songs as well.

:26:57. > :27:04.Where does your name come from? It is where he was brought up. How does

:27:05. > :27:08.it feel to be playing in front of the crowds here as part of the

:27:09. > :27:13.Commonwealth Games? Absolutely brilliant. I study in Glasgow so I

:27:14. > :27:19.spent a lot of time there. But we have been all over the place for the

:27:20. > :27:24.last few weeks. This is the first time I have seen the Games here and

:27:25. > :27:29.the city is so vibrant and everyone is in great form. They are desperate

:27:30. > :27:35.for you to get started so I will let you. We are going to have a great

:27:36. > :27:42.night here. We have a fantastic line-up. I have heard that one of

:27:43. > :27:47.the boxing teams will be doing a set on the decks later. Well you get

:27:48. > :27:52.partying down there, we will get partying here. Say goodbye,

:27:53. > :27:59.everybody. Goodbye, everybody! We will keep going with the bowls

:28:00. > :28:04.because we have the Northern Ireland bowls team here, who won in the

:28:05. > :28:09.triples. Neil Booth, Neil Mulholland, and Paul Daly silver

:28:10. > :28:13.medal. We have to give a message to the team manager. They are not

:28:14. > :28:18.drinking even though they are sitting at the bar. Correct?

:28:19. > :28:25.Congratulations. You were the comeback kings in the men's triples.

:28:26. > :28:27.Yes, we were 7-0 down in the quarterfinal against Scotland and

:28:28. > :28:30.came back and won, and same quarterfinal against Scotland and

:28:31. > :28:35.Wales and won, and quarterfinal against Scotland and

:28:36. > :28:39.against South Africa but then it was a bridge too far. If you

:28:40. > :28:48.against South Africa but then it was can comeback, does that spare you on

:28:49. > :28:54.when you get behind? Indeed. We did come back to 14-10. With one more

:28:55. > :28:59.end, we could have won but unfortunately we didn't. I don't

:29:00. > :29:04.have Inspector Gadget arms so I will come down here. Apparently the first

:29:05. > :29:08.question I have to ask you is if you are going to retire. I think I

:29:09. > :29:14.might. I knew at the start of the year that this would be my last

:29:15. > :29:20.Games. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. 95% sure I will retire

:29:21. > :29:27.afterwards! Can I attach this? Has that little beauty changed your

:29:28. > :29:31.mind? I would like it in a different colour but we will see. I will think

:29:32. > :29:39.about it over the winter but I think I will call it a day. You go back as

:29:40. > :29:43.far as Kuala Lumpur. Was that gold at the Commonwealth? Yes, gold to

:29:44. > :29:49.start and I was hoping to finish on gold. And you are in the fours as

:29:50. > :29:56.well. The fact you have delivered silver, does that put pressure on

:29:57. > :30:01.the fourth member? We have mentioned that! He will bring us up that one

:30:02. > :30:05.notch and hopefully get the goals. We have already played one game and

:30:06. > :30:11.we are looking forward to bringing him in and seeing what he can do.

:30:12. > :30:14.Brilliant. A big round of applause for that Northern Irish silver medal

:30:15. > :30:23.and the Scottish gold medals on the sofa as well. Now from bowls to the

:30:24. > :30:27.fastest sport of the lot. Do you know that a shuttlecock travelles

:30:28. > :30:30.faster than a Formula One car? Today was the final of the mixed team

:30:31. > :30:33.competition for the third Commonwealth Games in a row,

:30:34. > :30:39.Malaysia against England. This is what happened.

:30:40. > :30:53.The start of the mixed team final. England have taken the opening game.

:30:54. > :31:06.What a super return of serve. What reactions. Unbelievable. It's gone

:31:07. > :31:13.long. Now a match point. That's gone long as well! Well that could prove

:31:14. > :31:24.absolutely vital. What a thriller for England, it's been a perfect

:31:25. > :31:28.start. Incredible athleticism you see in

:31:29. > :31:44.top-class As an badminton. Unbelievable smash.

:31:45. > :31:59.Oh, that's wild. Yousef claims the second game.

:32:00. > :32:12.Four match points. He's brought the final level. Chris

:32:13. > :32:18.Adcock coming back zwron court. Good play by the English here. --

:32:19. > :32:25.back onto court. Good play by the English here.

:32:26. > :32:32.Another brilliant smash. That wraps it up. Malaysia are now in front in

:32:33. > :32:35.the tie. If Malaysia win this women's singles, the Gold Medal tie

:32:36. > :32:41.is over. This is probably the biggest match

:32:42. > :32:46.that Sarah has ever had to play in her life.

:32:47. > :32:55.Good judgment. Time is running out for England.

:32:56. > :33:05.And Malaysia have retained their title. What a moment for her. What a

:33:06. > :33:09.moment for Malaysia. Because the bowls players aren't

:33:10. > :33:15.allowed to drink nor the badminton players. I thought I'd better try.

:33:16. > :33:20.Gabby and Chris are alongside me, part of the Silver Medal-winning

:33:21. > :33:24.team. The two of you are married, so how does the relationship work on

:33:25. > :33:28.court? It's been going pretty well lately. Since we got married it's

:33:29. > :33:33.got even better. We both trust each other a lot. That helps in a

:33:34. > :33:36.partnership. We both have the same drive and passion and goal that's we

:33:37. > :33:41.want to achieve. So far, it's been helping massively. Good. What do the

:33:42. > :33:47.team think about the Silver Medal? Yeah, I think we're all ecstatic.

:33:48. > :33:50.It's a bit of a sour point at the minute, we were playing for gold, we

:33:51. > :33:56.all want aid gold, but on reflection, it's been a -- wanted

:33:57. > :33:59.gold, but on reflection it's been a fantastic week. Are you allowed to

:34:00. > :34:07.share a room in the athletes' village? No, we're not actually.

:34:08. > :34:10.Ahhh, boo. I'm sharing with the girlingz. The boys are sharing

:34:11. > :34:16.together. We have different teams in there, with the squash and table How

:34:17. > :34:22.many tennis. To a room? Two. The girls are in three. Me and my

:34:23. > :34:25.partner are in two. You've still got competitions left to come, straight

:34:26. > :34:29.back into action? Yes, we start on Wednesday with the individual, we

:34:30. > :34:32.will have a bit of down time. I think we're going to watch the

:34:33. > :34:37.boxing Because that's tomorrow. Really relaxing (! ) It's nice to

:34:38. > :34:41.see all the sports and things and just enjoy the food court for a day,

:34:42. > :34:46.then back on court on Wednesday. I know that you very rarely disagree,

:34:47. > :34:48.but what's the one thing that sometimes causes arguments?

:34:49. > :34:53.Obviously not when you're wearing team kit? I don't think I get much

:34:54. > :34:58.choice on the selection of kit we wear, to be honest. You usually pick

:34:59. > :35:03.the kit. I have to put my foot down when Chris wants to wear pink.

:35:04. > :35:07.Steady on there. You both look lovely in pink. You look good in

:35:08. > :35:09.silver, the whole team do. Congratulations, thanks very much

:35:10. > :35:10.for coming in. Good luck with the rest of it. Thank you.

:35:11. > :35:26.APPLAUSE Sophie says, "I'm glad the

:35:27. > :35:29.Commonwealth has bowls in it, because it shows everybody that

:35:30. > :35:35.bowls isn't just an old person's sports." Joanne says, "I'm loving

:35:36. > :35:41.the band tonight. I wish I knew the secret of guitarist's shiny hair."

:35:42. > :35:50.Mikey never, ever reveals his secret. James Tweddle says, "After

:35:51. > :35:55.watching the final of the men's today, I want to give it a go."

:35:56. > :36:00.In the last few days, we've witnessed the ferocity on the rugby

:36:01. > :36:05.field, the physicality on the hockey pitch an the fight on the netball

:36:06. > :36:08.court. There's one sport amongst all others that could take the title for

:36:09. > :36:13.intensity, a sport where there are no lanes, no zones and there is no

:36:14. > :36:18.net to separate the opponents. A sport where they are locked in a box

:36:19. > :36:21.until there can only be one winner. Think cage fighting, but with

:36:22. > :36:24.racquets and nicer shorts. The Gold Medal match in the women's

:36:25. > :36:28.competition was between England's Laura Massaro, the world champion,

:36:29. > :36:32.and Nicol David from Malaysia, the world number one. David won a tight

:36:33. > :36:39.first game and after that, pulled away to win 3-0. She's got it. She's

:36:40. > :36:44.the champion again. Right now she is the champion of champions.

:36:45. > :36:48.Frustrating for Laura, but respectable. Her opponent is

:36:49. > :36:51.regarded as one of the best ever. I felt like she was moving very well

:36:52. > :36:55.today. She didn't make a lot of errors. When someone is playing as

:36:56. > :37:01.well as that you just have to play better, unfortunately it wasn't

:37:02. > :37:04.there today. Silver Medal in the women's event, team England are

:37:05. > :37:10.guaranteed gold and silver in the men's final when Nick Matthews and

:37:11. > :37:16.James Wilstrop continue their rivalry.

:37:17. > :37:22.Willmott was coming at Matthew with all that he possessed. Matthew holds

:37:23. > :37:36.on. Willmott strop deserved a game and he's got it. Lovely finish. Too

:37:37. > :37:39.good. After a pulsiating hour-and-a-half after no quarter was

:37:40. > :37:42.asked for or given, the match was all square as two games each. The

:37:43. > :37:52.Gold Medal would be settled by a final and deciding gamement -- game.

:37:53. > :37:57.And the Gold Medal goes to the world's number two, Nick Matthew.

:37:58. > :38:05.What can he say, though to James Wilstrop? And Nick Matthew has won

:38:06. > :38:09.two successive singles Commonwealth gold meldals. Five weeks ago today I

:38:10. > :38:15.was on a hospital bed having woken up from a knee operation. James as

:38:16. > :38:19.well, had a scan on his hip. They told him his career was going to be

:38:20. > :38:24.over, six weeks ago. Our physios have earned their money. There's no

:38:25. > :38:28.doubt there will be moments where I might think I could have won it, but

:38:29. > :38:33.silver is a great achievement. I've got to have perspective on that. I'm

:38:34. > :38:39.fit and I'm well. I've got the doubles, there's a lot of good

:38:40. > :38:43.stuff. No mean achievement. My brain is going a thousand miles an hour. I

:38:44. > :38:48.was telling myself to use my brain not my brawn. So hard when that

:38:49. > :38:54.testosterone is flowing inside you to stay calm. You could see in both

:38:55. > :38:58.men's faces the intensity of the battle they'd endured. The two

:38:59. > :39:02.finals I watched today confirms squash is one of the most demanding

:39:03. > :39:06.sports there is. It would be nice to think that the International Olympic

:39:07. > :39:10.Committee might have been watching. It was just fantastic to watch. Do

:39:11. > :39:14.you know that squash players burn up to a thousand calories an hour. That

:39:15. > :39:20.match was one hour and 40 minutes, that's 1600 calories each. They can

:39:21. > :39:25.eat a lot tonight. Ollie Williams is with me by our magic map. Where have

:39:26. > :39:30.you been today? Early start to Carnoustie for the shooting, a

:39:31. > :39:37.perfect place to pick up a couple of smaller island nations. The shoot --

:39:38. > :39:42.The shooting venue covers a lot of ground. On my travels, I met a man

:39:43. > :39:44.who used to prepare for battle on the same fields a few years ago. He

:39:45. > :40:01.knows his way around. I spent a number of years here with

:40:02. > :40:08.royal Irish. Some not so good, believe you me! It's not very nice

:40:09. > :40:12.in the grass and it's raining and you're crawling through muck and

:40:13. > :40:17.dirt. But good memories, yeah. I'm 61 Today? Today. Yes. Happy

:40:18. > :40:23.birthday. Congratulations. There's a lot of young people out there, let

:40:24. > :40:27.them have it. This is my last. You remember the British Empire, you're

:40:28. > :40:30.a member of my 71 club as well. Thank you very much. Thank you. Good

:40:31. > :40:34.luck. Loving the selfies. 71 club going

:40:35. > :40:40.well. Going strongly yeah. Only three more today. I went for quality

:40:41. > :40:44.over quantity. Doug Creek from Norfolk island, which you will find

:40:45. > :40:48.over there in the far corner. It takes about two days to get to

:40:49. > :40:53.Carnoustie from there. He brought his family with him. I asked his son

:40:54. > :40:58.this morning, he saw his dad shoot and I asked if it was worth it, his

:40:59. > :41:09.dad finished second last and his son went, "I think." That will be a fun

:41:10. > :41:14.48-hour back. Nuie Do you know what it translates as? Behold the clock

:41:15. > :41:22.nut. It does! Yen winly. I know where it is, because it's over here,

:41:23. > :41:27.there's Norfolk and it's here. I spoke to Clemencia, a shooter, and

:41:28. > :41:32.maybe they need more coconuts because she told me they're training

:41:33. > :41:35.while they're back there involves shooting occasionally the local

:41:36. > :41:40.wildlife in the form of flying foxes and pigeons. Maybe more coconuts

:41:41. > :41:44.over there and we could change that. And finally, I spoke to the flag

:41:45. > :41:48.bearer for Canada at the Opening Ceremony. She was in tears before I

:41:49. > :41:55.even had a chance to ask her a question, because she had shot so

:41:56. > :41:58.badly. She won -- she's won seven more titles more Commonwealth Games

:41:59. > :42:01.medals than that. She was kind enough to speak to us and join the

:42:02. > :42:05.club. I'm sure it will be a consolation that she's in the 71

:42:06. > :42:09.club. I'm sure it won't actually! I will take my coconuts to Hugh to see

:42:10. > :42:18.what he can do with them and round up the other headlines of day five:

:42:19. > :42:23.Other stories from today's action at the Games, and Northern Ireland's

:42:24. > :42:28.two-time Olympic medallist Paddy Barns began the defence of his light

:42:29. > :42:38.flyweight tight well a comfortable win. In netball, Wales kept their

:42:39. > :42:41.semifinal hopes alive with a 47-35 win over Barbados. Northern Ireland

:42:42. > :42:47.won their first match at a Commonwealth Games beating Saint

:42:48. > :42:50.Lucia 61-40. In the women's hockey, favourites Australia beat England

:42:51. > :42:55.3-0. Scotland saw off Wales 2-0. Which means that the winner of the

:42:56. > :43:02.England-Scotland clash on Wednesday will earn the last semifinal spot.

:43:03. > :43:09.Scotland also face Wales in the men's hockey. Wales led 2-0.

:43:10. > :43:17.Scotland came back 3-3 and then this winning goal from Nick Parkes. It

:43:18. > :43:23.was a fabulous match. Good finish. Behold the coconut. Yeah. Really?

:43:24. > :43:24.Yeah, really. Did you find that on a reputable website? Yeah.

:43:25. > :43:28.Yeah, really. Did you find that on a reputable website? Yeah. It sounds

:43:29. > :43:33.like something from call my bluff. That's how it translates. There's a

:43:34. > :43:38.loads of stuff when captain cook went there. I could bore you stupid.

:43:39. > :43:41.Got to move on. Back to where Ollie was at Carnoustie and see how the

:43:42. > :43:53.medals were decided there. David Currie rounds up all the action.

:43:54. > :44:01.If shooting were darts, this gent might be Michael the medal man

:44:02. > :44:06.Gault, nobody has won more in Games history. His aim today: A record

:44:07. > :44:11.19th before he hangs up his guns for good. The Englishman failed to reach

:44:12. > :44:16.the 50-metre pistol final. I came here to get one medal, at least one,

:44:17. > :44:21.I've done that. Meanwhile on the shot gun range,

:44:22. > :44:30.Charlotte Kerwood was going for more glory, this time, in the single trap

:44:31. > :44:34.event. Not Charlotte's day either, missing out on the semifinal by a

:44:35. > :44:41.couple of shots. I'm still walking away with a Gold Medal, it's not For

:44:42. > :44:47.England bad. Team-mate Caroline Koby reached a sudden-death shootout for

:44:48. > :44:52.bronze, though. Rooney misses. Povey takes the

:44:53. > :44:59.bronze medal. Another English bronze in the 50-metre rifle. Kenneth Par

:45:00. > :45:02.winning his first individual medal. It's a good shot. It's going to be

:45:03. > :45:06.enough. So if the home nations shooter was

:45:07. > :45:13.going to end the day with a gold, it would have to be in the women's

:45:14. > :45:17.50-metre prone rifle. There's Scotland's Jen McIntosh defended her

:45:18. > :45:26.title, coming away with another British bronze. We are going to move

:45:27. > :45:31.onto something now because it was that an ultimate day of action in

:45:32. > :45:39.the pool and Wales were hoping to make it historic. Alas time someone

:45:40. > :45:43.won gold for Wales was 50 years ago. Jazz Carlin was there and so were

:45:44. > :45:50.the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. This is what

:45:51. > :45:54.happened in the swimming. It looks like it looks like it'll be an

:45:55. > :45:56.Australian 123 for only the second time in the able-bodied swimming.

:45:57. > :46:13.Just got it, Mitch of Australia. Jazz Carlin of Wales sprinting down

:46:14. > :46:20.the last 50. Goodness me. Wales are going to win gold in the 800 metres

:46:21. > :46:29.freestyle! Jazz Carlin from Swansea takes gold. A brilliant swim.

:46:30. > :46:44.He is pushing very hard and working for this world record. It looks like

:46:45. > :46:50.he might be just outside to point 20 .92 -- 2.20.92. He has got the

:46:51. > :46:57.European gold and now also the Commonwealth gold! Hold on to your

:46:58. > :47:03.hats. Coming back very strongly is Sophie Taylor, coming back. Sophie

:47:04. > :47:09.Taylor, the 18-year-old, has overtaken. Can she get goals for

:47:10. > :47:16.England? A wonderful swim! She gets gold in the 100 metres breaststroke.

:47:17. > :47:24.A massive British record for her and what a wonderful swim! It is so

:47:25. > :47:30.tight down this last five. Who will get the touch? It looks like it will

:47:31. > :47:34.be lane number three and it is. Silver goes to Aimee Willmott of

:47:35. > :47:48.England and a brilliant swim for her. Coming back is Adam Peaty in

:47:49. > :47:57.the black cat. Vandenberg gets the touch! Silver for Adam Peaty. That

:47:58. > :48:06.will be a wonderful competition for years to come. This is utterly

:48:07. > :48:11.brilliant. She has gone out so fast and her sister is catching her up

:48:12. > :48:17.very fast. Cate Campbell leading at the moment and Bronte Campbell

:48:18. > :48:28.following. She has got it. Another Australian 123. Coming back is Adam

:48:29. > :48:32.Barrett and this is really quite interesting. Joseph Schooling going

:48:33. > :48:39.very well to Singapore. Coming through is Chad Le Clos. My goodness

:48:40. > :48:45.me! 51.29. Chad Le Clos wins the gold!

:48:46. > :48:57.Love the fact that his father has a South Africa shirt but this is our

:48:58. > :49:01.Wales tea cosy for Jazz Carlin! With us is the Commonwealth champion from

:49:02. > :49:07.the 800 free and you were delighted to be replaced by Jazz Carlin. If I

:49:08. > :49:13.was going to be replaced by anyone, I was delighted it was her. She had

:49:14. > :49:18.some tough years, missing out on the Olympics, so I am really pleased for

:49:19. > :49:21.her. The first Welsh woman in 40 years, you could see as soon as

:49:22. > :49:26.Sharon told her in the interview, she welled up because it meant so

:49:27. > :49:35.much to her. Very emotional on the podium as well. Good podium tears

:49:36. > :49:42.from the pool. Tanni Grey-Thompson was crying. And Gabby as well.

:49:43. > :49:48.Hormonal tears. Whatever! The other excitement at a teenage level,

:49:49. > :49:51.Sophie Taylor. Yes, only 18 and it was incredible. She missed out on a

:49:52. > :49:56.medal in the 50 metre breaststroke earlier in the week and he did not

:49:57. > :50:04.have the best 200 metres breaststroke either. -- she did not

:50:05. > :50:10.have. To storm the 100 metres, and changing clubs, she has such a

:50:11. > :50:17.bright future. One more day left of swimming. I am sad and I don't want

:50:18. > :50:21.it to end. We have some relays and the men's 1550 metres freestyle from

:50:22. > :50:34.Ben Proud. A great night tomorrow night. -- 1500 metres and the 50

:50:35. > :50:44.metres freestyle. Libby Clegg is also here alongside her guide. Let's

:50:45. > :51:04.bring on Oliver and Libby and her guide!

:51:05. > :51:13.Oliver, first of all, you have completed the set! Paralympics,

:51:14. > :51:17.European, Worlds, and now Commonwealth gold. That is what I

:51:18. > :51:22.have been shooting for all year. It is a relief to be able to do that

:51:23. > :51:27.tonight. And your brother used to compete with you. We always saw you

:51:28. > :51:32.in races together. What has happened to Sam? He has decided to call it a

:51:33. > :51:41.day, unfortunately. It would have been nice for him to be out there

:51:42. > :51:47.tonight but he was in the stands cheering me. Oh, good and you got a

:51:48. > :51:53.great response. And so did you, Libby. What your lap of honour 45

:51:54. > :51:57.minutes? I did not realise it was that long! We were enjoying

:51:58. > :52:02.ourselves. Where you getting mobbed all the way round? It was great to

:52:03. > :52:06.have so much support from everybody and all the people we knew. They

:52:07. > :52:11.were getting photographs and talking to us and hugging us, which was

:52:12. > :52:17.nice. And did you become her guide runner to follow in the footsteps of

:52:18. > :52:25.your stepfather? Yes, Lincoln, who had a brilliant career in athletics

:52:26. > :52:30.in the 80s, was guiding Libby. They managed to get the silver in Beijing

:52:31. > :52:34.and then I was given an opportunity to work with Libby and he asked me

:52:35. > :52:38.if I wanted to give it a go. I thought it was a challenge and I

:52:39. > :52:45.decided to go for it and I have not looked back, to be fair. And you

:52:46. > :52:51.have recently got a guide dog. Hattie, is that right? Yes. But you

:52:52. > :52:57.have had to adapt to her routine rather than her adapting to yours?

:52:58. > :53:02.Yes, she wakes me up in the morning. I don't like getting up in the

:53:03. > :53:08.morning. I feel bad. She said that my bedroom door, like, feed me! So I

:53:09. > :53:14.have to get up. Yes, dogs have got to be fed. I heard what you said

:53:15. > :53:17.about running blind, it is exhilarating because you are in

:53:18. > :53:24.control and out of control at the same time. Definitely. We are like

:53:25. > :53:30.one person and it feels incredible. I am kind of on my own but

:53:31. > :53:36.together. It is really strange. It works really well and we perform

:53:37. > :53:39.well together. Going out to celebrate in Glasgow tonight?

:53:40. > :53:45.Definitely not. I am looking forward to my bed! Everybody is seeing a lot

:53:46. > :53:50.of love for the para-sport and we love them being integrated.

:53:51. > :54:00.Commonwealth champions Oliver Hynd and Libby Clegg! Thank you to Becky

:54:01. > :54:04.as well. Artistic gymnastics got under way today, with men's and

:54:05. > :54:09.women's team events both taking place at the same time and both

:54:10. > :54:13.spread over two days for the first time. Louis Smith was back after a

:54:14. > :54:16.year and a half out and he put in an impressive performance on the pommel

:54:17. > :54:23.horse to put England in the lead ahead of Scotland. And England also

:54:24. > :54:32.lead the women's competition ahead of former champions Australia. Both

:54:33. > :54:41.competitions conclude tomorrow. And Nicola Adams has won in the finals

:54:42. > :54:45.of her boxing as well. Let's bring you up to date on the table tennis

:54:46. > :54:53.because today was the men's team final and England took on the

:54:54. > :55:02.favourites, Singapore. The gold medal match, the final match of this

:55:03. > :55:16.competition the first game is so critical.

:55:17. > :55:26.Zhan converts the opening match into a W for Singapore. England trailing.

:55:27. > :55:36.Match point for the 12th ranked player in the world. He has played a

:55:37. > :55:40.wonderful match. That is why it is called safe hands and the

:55:41. > :55:47.mountain's gradient got considerably steeper for Team England now. More

:55:48. > :56:00.chance of Paul Drinkhall beating Zhan. Sizeable upset in the men's

:56:01. > :56:03.doubles. The phenomenal result for Andrew Bagley and Paul Drinkhall,

:56:04. > :56:13.bringing the match back to 1-2 and all to play for. This will always be

:56:14. > :56:31.a tough ask for Andrew Bagley. Match point Singapore. There it is. 12

:56:32. > :56:34.medals to Singapore, 3-1. At the swimming yesterday we had Harriet

:56:35. > :56:40.Davies winning bronze for Scotland. Under the weightlifting Rebekah

:56:41. > :56:49.Tiler just missed out on the medals, coming forth for England in the 69

:56:50. > :56:51.kilograms class. And this is Nicola Adams winning through to the

:56:52. > :56:56.quarterfinals, the first ever woman to win an Olympic gold medal. She is

:56:57. > :57:02.hoping to add the Commonwealth gold medal as well. A flurry of punches

:57:03. > :57:06.to win that match and no doubt at all about the winner. This is how

:57:07. > :57:15.the medals table looks at the end of day five. The gap between Australia

:57:16. > :57:19.and England remains three. Scotland are third on 13. We might get a

:57:20. > :57:26.cheer here! CROWD CHEERS

:57:27. > :57:34.And Wales got more goals today, so they are eighth. And silver for

:57:35. > :57:39.Northern Ireland today as well from the lawn bowls. Tomorrow coverage

:57:40. > :57:45.starts bright and early on BBC One and BBC Two and BBC Three as well as

:57:46. > :57:49.across the radio networks. Mountain biking will be brilliant. Artistic

:57:50. > :57:56.gymnastics, seven gold medals up for grabs, and David Weir is going in

:57:57. > :58:01.the wheelchair races as well. And Hannah Miley goes up against Jazz

:58:02. > :58:09.Carlin of Wales in the swimming and it is the relay which England might

:58:10. > :58:25.win. Breathe! Anna says that she nearly screamed herself hoarse for

:58:26. > :58:27.Libby at her event today. Thanks to everyone on the show. We leave you
