:00:45. > :00:52.Hello and welcome to day 11 of Wimbledon! As you can see, the sun
:00:53. > :00:58.is shining and the skies are blue. It promises to be another terrific
:00:59. > :01:06.day of tennis. We know tomorrow's ladies' final will be against Petra
:01:07. > :01:08.Kvitova. She is up against the new Canadian sensation, Eugenie
:01:09. > :01:14.Bouchard. But today, it is the turn of the men. Before that remain will
:01:15. > :01:16.go head-to-head on Centre Court. Sit back, relax and enjoy what promises
:01:17. > :01:39.to be another memorable day. The Wimbledon men's's semifinals. A
:01:40. > :01:49.big day. There is so much at stake. So what do we have? On one side of
:01:50. > :01:59.the net, two guys who have been there, seen it and done it. Federer,
:02:00. > :02:09.seven Wimbledon titles. 17 Grand Slam titles. 35 Grand Slam
:02:10. > :02:18.semifinals. Djokovic, champion here in 2011. Six
:02:19. > :02:25.Grand Slam titles. 23 Grand Slam semifinals. On the other side of the
:02:26. > :02:40.net, two guys who have never been there. Dimitrov, the King of Queens.
:02:41. > :02:54.The slayer of Murray. His first Grand Slam semifinal. Raonic. Man
:02:55. > :03:04.mountain. Aces high. His first Grand Slam semifinal. They have the
:03:05. > :03:16.firepower but not the experience. Djokovic versus Dimitrov. Federer
:03:17. > :03:25.versus Raonic. Old versus new. Let the battle commence.
:03:26. > :03:34.He likes to height things up but then he is right, today is a special
:03:35. > :03:38.day in tennis. It is the Wimbledon men's semifinal day. Big crowds on
:03:39. > :03:42.the Hill having a picnic and enjoying the tennis on the screen. A
:03:43. > :03:51.very strong breeze. That will certainly affect play on Centre
:03:52. > :03:53.Court today. So much to enjoy although the players unfolding on
:03:54. > :03:57.the two main show courts. There is still much for people to enjoy,
:03:58. > :04:01.maybe enjoy a photograph around the Wimbledon landmarks, maybe get an
:04:02. > :04:07.autograph but just enjoy this special Wimbledon experience. It is
:04:08. > :04:13.men's semifinals day. The first one is underway already. Novak Djokovic
:04:14. > :04:17.is through to his 23rd Grand Slam semifinal. Grigor Dimitrov is on a
:04:18. > :04:21.ten match winning streak on grass. We will head to that match in a
:04:22. > :04:28.moment. Later on today, the great Roger Federer, his ninth Wimbledon
:04:29. > :04:32.semifinal. He is looking for a record eighth title here. Milos
:04:33. > :04:40.Raonic is looking for his own record title, to be the first non-European
:04:41. > :04:44.into the final since Andy Roddick. Here are Novak Djokovic and Grigor
:04:45. > :04:48.Dimitrov walking onto court. Only four years separate them but a vast
:04:49. > :04:54.difference in experience. Djokovic knows all about it. It is the first
:04:55. > :04:56.semifinal of the major for Dimitrov. Milos Raonic was out practising
:04:57. > :04:59.earlier today. Milos Raonic was out practising
:05:00. > :05:04.earlier The serve we will be watching. 147 aces already in this
:05:05. > :05:12.tournament. There is more to his game and Federer knows all about
:05:13. > :05:19.that. Two great matches to enjoy and we will be heading to Centre Court
:05:20. > :05:25.in just a moment. We will be over on BBC Two shortly showing you this
:05:26. > :05:28.semifinal on Court Number One, between the Bryan brothers up
:05:29. > :05:36.against Michael Llodra and Nicolas Mahut. We will be joining that
:05:37. > :05:41.shortly on BBC Two. But here, we are heading to Centre Court where we can
:05:42. > :05:49.join our commentators John Lloyd, John McEnroe and Andrew Castle.
:05:50. > :05:56.Grigor Dimitrov has not settled into this match so far. The top seed
:05:57. > :06:28.Novak Djokovic has a break point. It is windy, it is sunny. Dimitrov
:06:29. > :06:33.is not being given a chance to express himself here, is he? To me,
:06:34. > :06:38.he seems to be trying to force the issue little bit too much. I think
:06:39. > :06:44.there are times when the shot selection is not right. He is going
:06:45. > :06:49.for shots where the percentages are not in his favour, against Djokovic
:06:50. > :06:55.who is not missing. You have to hit the spot at the right time. Is that
:06:56. > :06:59.nerves? Some of it is nervous but we have to give credit to the number
:07:00. > :07:04.one seed. He is so sharp right now, so intense and he is so prepared for
:07:05. > :07:10.this. He is hitting the ball incredibly well. He controlled
:07:11. > :07:16.things, he senses, as a lot of other people do, but clearly, he senses it
:07:17. > :07:33.better than anyone how wound up Dimitrov, he cannot relax yet.
:07:34. > :07:40.Dimitrov is serving 61% but he feels like he is not serving that well so
:07:41. > :07:50.that is getting to him. He is 23 years of age. We are seeing a
:07:51. > :07:51.changing of the guard, the big four, Nick Kyrgios beating Nadal. We will
:07:52. > :09:39.see. He has got to deal with it or he
:09:40. > :09:41.will be off the court in 45 minutes. There are too many of those type of
:09:42. > :10:21.shots at the moment. That is something a little bit
:10:22. > :11:14.special. Rather like when Tiger Woods pulls out a backswing.
:11:15. > :11:20.Look at that drop shot from a couple of points ago, there is the
:11:21. > :12:22.turnaround we have been waiting for. Both guys having to deal with
:12:23. > :12:45.tricky, tough, windy conditions. That is where the slice will come in
:12:46. > :13:14.handy. The first time he has been bothered
:13:15. > :13:21.by the elements. Two misses in a row. The first break point of the
:13:22. > :13:29.match for Grigor Dimitrov. The are responding.
:13:30. > :13:59.He has gone over. Trying to push over to the backhand side. There are
:14:00. > :14:10.significant worn out patches behind the baselines. I was on the
:14:11. > :14:58.practices the lid to the other day and it is a complete dust bowl.
:14:59. > :15:07.A break point. Paul Grigor Dimitrov, but at least he got to a break
:15:08. > :16:04.point. Often described as having the best
:16:05. > :16:21.returns in the game. That was well played. Even there, he
:16:22. > :17:40.is able to block returns. He is overheating. He is
:17:41. > :17:44.overheating. He's trying too hard. You can see how the rallies are
:17:45. > :17:52.developing. Djokovic looks like he is in command of them. Dimitrov
:17:53. > :18:02.looks as if he is trying to hit it extra hard to try and do something.
:18:03. > :18:06.That is harder to do in these conditions. That is why he
:18:07. > :19:11.desperately needs some aces. Dimitrov is playing against today in
:19:12. > :19:17.Novak Djokovic. He had one of the greatest years anyone had ever seen
:19:18. > :19:27.in 2011. Ten tournament victories, three of the four Grand Slams, five
:19:28. > :19:33.ATP Masters. Roger Federer beat him on a bleak grey Friday evening in
:19:34. > :19:38.the semifinal of the French Open. He had won the Davis Cup for his
:19:39. > :19:44.country. Plus, he has been a rock. He was the man who responded first
:19:45. > :19:47.to Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal changing standards. Then Andy Murray
:19:48. > :19:53.joined the party. Those were the big four. Dimitrov is trying to break
:19:54. > :19:56.in. By winning at Queens and beating Andy Murray, he has announced
:19:57. > :20:03.something but we do not quite know what it is yet. Commercially, he is
:20:04. > :20:09.hugely interesting. But how do you not Novak Djokovic of this perch
:20:10. > :20:14.now? I love what he does on the court, how well-prepared he is and
:20:15. > :20:18.how willing he is to try different things. Hiring Boris Becker is a bit
:20:19. > :20:27.of ace prize. Off the court he is trying to do things which get the
:20:28. > :21:19.sport more popular. He is a class act.
:21:20. > :21:28.That slice is going to really come in handy. You do not quite know what
:21:29. > :21:34.it is going to do if you are this guy. It is a shot which will pay off
:21:35. > :23:05.for Dimitrov. John-macro and John Lloyd have been
:23:06. > :23:54.talking about the need for Dimitrov to do this.
:23:55. > :24:41.Oh, yes! Game on. Had to grind that point. He could have pulled the
:24:42. > :24:46.trigger on the forehand, but he didn't. He used the slice and
:24:47. > :24:50.allowed the mistake to come and it did. That is a very important
:24:51. > :25:58.moment. Novak is attempting to keep his cool
:25:59. > :26:05.in these hot conditions but he is exceptionally upset with himself
:26:06. > :26:07.that he let that game slip away. He cannot believe he is level with this
:26:08. > :27:13.guy in the second set. Both these players have had to go
:27:14. > :27:19.the distance in the Championships so far. Dimitrov had a tough one
:27:20. > :27:22.against Dolgopolov, who is another one of these youngsters we must keep
:27:23. > :27:33.an eye on, and explosive talent from the Ukraine. And then, of course, he
:27:34. > :27:38.beat Andy Murray, the defending champion and really nullified the
:27:39. > :27:43.crowd on court for that one. Cilic really pushed Djokovic the distance
:27:44. > :27:49.in the previous round on a slippery Court One. The test against -- the
:27:50. > :27:57.match against Stepanek was a tester. Let's face it, we would love to see
:27:58. > :28:01.a long match here. No question about it. This guy, what you admire about
:28:02. > :28:05.him is you see him fighting, really digging in. Things were desperate
:28:06. > :28:10.there. That could have slipped away in a hurry. He has figured it out on
:28:11. > :28:15.his own, which is what we love, part of the thing we love about our
:28:16. > :28:18.sport. You do not have anyone to tell you right now. This is the
:28:19. > :28:23.first time for Novak since he walked out onto the court that he is under
:28:24. > :29:48.pressure. He is feeling stressed. Just over an hour played.
:29:49. > :30:11.Here's a handful, he can do a lot of different things. That was the
:30:12. > :30:22.perfect way to end that point. This definitely had to be played,
:30:23. > :32:24.this ball. 15-30. That is called out. Everyone has
:32:25. > :32:35.macro hams are flying into the sky. They are challenging everyone --
:32:36. > :32:40.everyone's hands. Dimitrov is serving for the set, it could be a
:32:41. > :32:52.set all in a couple of minutes. What a game. Djokovic is shaking his
:32:53. > :32:58.head. He is looking up, he is saying he cannot see anything, it has all
:32:59. > :33:08.gone wrong. He cannot believe that he has let Dimitrov off the hook
:33:09. > :33:10.here. That is ancient history now. Time to regroup for the number one
:33:11. > :33:47.seed. Cannot believe how fast this is. He
:33:48. > :33:50.runs faster sideways than most people run forwards. He skipped
:33:51. > :33:57.across to get his forehand into play. That is the weapon. He and
:33:58. > :34:03.Rafa Nadal move on to the backhand side better than anyone. Two points
:34:04. > :34:38.for the set. APPLAUSE. . -- applause -- APPLAUSE.
:34:39. > :35:36.The set is over if this has caught any of the line. It did appear to go
:35:37. > :35:44.long. It is certainly why the players appreciate the challenge
:35:45. > :35:56.system. Find an! It is one set all. -- Hynde on. It is the best of three
:35:57. > :36:07.sets powers-macro crying up on. -- if is the best of three sets. --
:36:08. > :36:15.Hang on!. SUE BARKER: We will be back with this match shortly. We
:36:16. > :36:19.will be heading to watch Jamie Murray and Casey Dellacqua start
:36:20. > :36:26.their match. Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan will continue their match on
:36:27. > :36:53.the red button. At the moment, all eyes are on Centre Court. Centre
:36:54. > :36:56.Court is buzzing now. Grigor Dimitrov has this personality as
:36:57. > :37:05.well as a game which seems to fit the big stage. He does have plans
:37:06. > :37:10.that he can adjust and that is what he did basically in that set to turn
:37:11. > :37:15.it around. Djokovic had chances, he looked comfortable and did not break
:37:16. > :37:21.for the double break. Either one of the battles will be interesting now.
:37:22. > :37:26.We will see if Djokovic will go for his first serve more. Towards the
:37:27. > :37:31.end of the second set, he was getting no cheap points and his
:37:32. > :37:37.service is down on average. It may be because of the wind. He will need
:37:38. > :37:41.to get a few cheap points on his serve. That is one of the
:37:42. > :37:46.interesting things which may change. He was so upset with himself for
:37:47. > :38:05.dropping that break that break but I think Hezbollah city went down. He
:38:06. > :38:31.needs to move forward -- velocity. -- I think his velocity went down.
:38:32. > :39:39.APPLAUSE. That is what the doctor ordered.
:39:40. > :39:45.It is extremely difficult in these conditions, to be able to play your
:39:46. > :39:49.top game on the way through, it it is almost inevitable, no matter how
:39:50. > :40:00.good you are, your level will drop at one stage. The key is how quickly
:40:01. > :40:01.you can get it back. It is that area behind the baseline, it is very
:40:02. > :40:23.slippery. That is one of the reasons why this
:40:24. > :40:28.ridiculous suggestion that some people say there should be play on a
:40:29. > :40:32.middle Sunday do not realise that the grass courts have to be rested.
:40:33. > :41:32.Nice try! Nice try! It is our Djokovic type of rally
:41:33. > :41:37.stop he had a couple of chances to move in, but chose not to stop -- it
:41:38. > :42:11.is a Djokovic type of rally. You see that ball moving closer to
:42:12. > :42:16.the net. That wind is against Novak Djokovic as well, it is swirly at
:42:17. > :42:22.times, at other times it feels like the guy is playing uphill.
:42:23. > :43:17.That is a good move. Hard to Molly. -- hard to volley. Some satisfaction
:43:18. > :43:23.for both players in these opening games as they readjust, the
:43:24. > :43:30.complexion of this match changed often are go, Djokovic certainly in
:43:31. > :43:35.the driving seat to go 2-0 sets up. He has to cope with that
:43:36. > :43:42.disappointment. That is a good move, coming in off that slice. That
:43:43. > :43:52.ball looked to be just wide. Not happy, it was mishit slightly. It
:43:53. > :44:04.made it even tougher to deal with. He will not have any answer to that
:44:05. > :44:13.slice backhand from Dimitrov. Good move. First serve and volley of the
:44:14. > :44:19.match. It did not take hour and 20 minutes for you to serve a volley,
:44:20. > :45:16.did it? It would take me one minute 20.
:45:17. > :45:28.What a great player! He should have made that forehand volley, though.
:45:29. > :45:34.So hard to play against that gymnast at the other end. Look at this
:45:35. > :45:40.forehand, any squash player in the world would be proud! To hang in
:45:41. > :45:46.there and make Novak Djokovic had a couple of tough volleys, if he had
:45:47. > :45:54.taken that extra step, it would have been easier -- hit.
:45:55. > :46:02.Everything is OK, I think. I do not think Novak Djokovic realise that
:46:03. > :46:37.had happened. I think the other player realised it! -- realised.
:46:38. > :46:49.That is beautiful, beautiful! It is like tennis on ice. Three slips in a
:46:50. > :46:57.row, three shots, to move forward that quickly was admirable. I am not
:46:58. > :47:04.sure if that was a second or third slip in a road there. He has done
:47:05. > :47:16.some good work on his flexibility -- in a Rome. -- row.
:47:17. > :47:27.It appears that Grigor Dimitrov has relaxed and is just playing the
:47:28. > :47:32.match forgetting he has never been in a semifinal before. He is
:47:33. > :47:40.producing his best tennis on his first service game. Djokovic served
:47:41. > :47:52.the AA 's down the middle, this is good matchplay. -- ace. Both players
:47:53. > :47:54.are playing at their best. I never thought I would witness this
:47:55. > :47:56.are playing at their best. I never thought I would witness type of
:47:57. > :48:02.tennis, instead of the big serving, to see the way these guys hit the
:48:03. > :48:08.ball, it is great, unbelievable. It is unbelievably great, the sliding
:48:09. > :48:15.that is going on. Getting themselves out of trouble, the next minute,
:48:16. > :48:19.another guy sprints forward. Raonic will be another different
:48:20. > :48:33.proposition. He will be more old school, like watching Pete Sampras
:48:34. > :48:41.versus Goran Ivanisevic. He can slice through anything. That is what
:48:42. > :48:50.I think. Including a break wall. He can serve at 100 and to miles per
:48:51. > :49:00.hour, apparently. -- a break wall. -- Naomi Broady is per hour. --
:49:01. > :50:14.break wall. -- 130 mph. He is tempted to hit the drop shot,
:50:15. > :50:29.but chose to play a safer ball, but it was not deep enough.
:50:30. > :50:44.It is another well played 30-30 point. It would have been easy to
:50:45. > :51:13.miss that volley. 23 years of age, six weeks ago he
:51:14. > :51:17.had that birthday. His father is a tennis coach. He got his first
:51:18. > :51:39.tennis racquet at the age of three and he liked it.
:51:40. > :51:52.He looked comfortable around Andy Murray in the previous round and you
:51:53. > :51:59.can see that he feels he is playing within himself. He can hold his own
:52:00. > :52:13.in these rallies and win a lot of them, he believes.
:52:14. > :52:31.Good work there are, after the slip. -- bearer. They are either too dusty
:52:32. > :52:55.or two green. -- there. -- two green. -- too.
:52:56. > :53:01.Both guys have had their thinking caps on, Novak Djokovic is starting
:53:02. > :53:12.to move forward and that is the right thing to do. He wants fresh
:53:13. > :53:20.trainers. It is amazing they go through them this quickly! They
:53:21. > :53:39.wearer down quickly. -- the wearer down. -- they wear down.
:53:40. > :53:48.How careful was that? As soon as you miss, you look back like you thought
:53:49. > :54:06.it was going out, even though you know it is not. He got very casual.
:54:07. > :54:16.That is very nicely done, drops the backhand volley, no repeat of the
:54:17. > :54:35.mistake. You're talking about the issues, it has been an issue.
:54:36. > :54:39.Yesterday, Jack Sark and -- was playing and one of the players got
:54:40. > :54:50.fed up and stop it is one of the issues you have to play with.
:54:51. > :55:07.-- Jack Sock. They are faced with the dilemma, the points where they
:55:08. > :55:11.change the composition of the brass, that has allowed players to make the
:55:12. > :55:31.transition from a clay court more easily -- grabs. -- grass. Andy
:55:32. > :55:38.Murray rotated six pairs last year. They dig up in the court quickly.
:55:39. > :55:48.One of the worst offenders is Tomas Berdych who drags his third when he
:55:49. > :56:09.serves. -- who drags his foot when he serves.
:56:10. > :56:21.The man there, his brother is the Mayor of Chicago.
:56:22. > :57:59.That has got to be extremely disappointing for Novak Djokovic,
:58:00. > :58:02.that was a makeable shot. That is usually his bread and butter, the
:58:03. > :58:17.two-handed backhand. The stress of the situation, the
:58:18. > :58:21.quality of the play from his opponent and the conditions have
:58:22. > :58:30.contributed to this malaise right now. He is stuck in the mud a
:58:31. > :58:38.little. Perhaps he wishes it was a little muddy, it is so slippery out
:58:39. > :58:46.here. They should water the court a bit. Between sets. In this
:58:47. > :58:55.condition, it would dry in a minute. That is interesting. We would be
:58:56. > :59:00.able to play on Sunday! Someone would slip over and it would be all
:59:01. > :59:06.your fault. You could do what they do in cricket and mix-up old turf
:59:07. > :59:13.and put it in there with some clippings and level it off. It would
:59:14. > :59:28.not last long with the way they drag their feet and slide.
:59:29. > :59:39.The speed was there, he was there in plenty of time. He should have gone
:59:40. > :00:16.after that ball. He will certainly wish he had that shot back.
:00:17. > :00:19.from Djokovic. That is a very strange decision to throw a kick
:00:20. > :00:41.serving at 92 mph and it in. Maybe a few mental battles at the
:00:42. > :01:40.moment for Novak. He is down break point here. The
:01:41. > :01:41.purity of the ball strike. So pleasing for those supporting
:01:42. > :02:37.Dimitrov. He meant to do it, honest! Look at
:02:38. > :02:41.this. I think he meant to do it. Maybe not quite as close to the line
:02:42. > :03:27.but he meant to hit it short. Good for him.
:03:28. > :03:39.It is a break point saved. Djokovic gets away with that game. That
:03:40. > :03:45.little pushy backhand down the line. The fact is, he hit over the net and
:03:46. > :03:50.in. That is what really matters at the end of the day. I hit a ball in
:03:51. > :03:57.the last doubles match I ever played, 17 all in the fifth set,
:03:58. > :04:00.break point, get a forehand, try that crosscourt angle I like to try
:04:01. > :04:09.to hit. We look at the seven times finalist Boris Becker. A total and
:04:10. > :04:15.utter mishit, a top-spin lob over the guy's head. I would never admit
:04:16. > :04:21.that, oh no, I just admitted it! Out on the hill they are happy. It is
:04:22. > :04:29.hot. Go and get some water. Who is the head groundsman? Neil Studley.
:04:30. > :04:37.What would he think? Are used to go to Forest Hill to see my idol Rod
:04:38. > :04:43.labour. At 4-2 in the fifth set, and I believe the 1972 US Open, he
:04:44. > :04:49.switched to spikes. Spikes were legal. I believe it was 72. There he
:04:50. > :04:56.is. He lost the last four games with the spikes. Suddenly he could stand
:04:57. > :04:57.up! I wonder what the court would think if they were playing in
:04:58. > :06:12.spikes. Fantastic! Fast and to control that
:06:13. > :06:18.shot. I thought Dimitrov had this. A lot of backspin on that. Can't do it
:06:19. > :07:33.any better than that. Extremely frustrating, building a
:07:34. > :07:39.15-30 lead, then missing an easy ball. With all the sporting talent
:07:40. > :07:44.behind him in the Royal box, you do not want to drop this one. You do
:07:45. > :08:21.not want to hit yourself on the head either.
:08:22. > :08:37.That lady needs to change lines. Put a helmet on.
:08:38. > :08:42.He should have sprinted to take that higher up or let it drop. A strange
:08:43. > :09:20.decision. There were a couple of errors from
:09:21. > :10:11.Djokovic that he would not expect him to make.
:10:12. > :10:19.Looked like that serve could have been long. No challenge. We should
:10:20. > :10:29.make people aware that these conditions are tough.
:10:30. > :10:32.There are patchy spots. Mentally you have to be so focused and
:10:33. > :11:12.concentrate. SUE BARKER: We will be right back to
:11:13. > :11:17.show you the third set but we can show you what is happening
:11:18. > :11:22.elsewhere. This match on Court 12 is on BBC Two. Britain's Jamie Murray
:11:23. > :11:27.and Australia's Casey Dellacqua have lost the first set. It is one game
:11:28. > :11:34.all in the second set. That match is on BBC Two. And this match is on the
:11:35. > :11:39.red button, the Bryan brothers, the top seeds. They are two points away
:11:40. > :11:41.from a place in the finals. That is on the red button on Court Number
:11:42. > :11:55.One. Back we go to Centre Court. Whatever happens, it has been a good
:11:56. > :12:04.year for Novak Djokovic. Not just on the tennis court. His fiancee is
:12:05. > :12:12.expecting. Great times ahead. Jude Law is on the right hand side. There
:12:13. > :12:21.is their grills' wife on the left. -- she first met husband when he
:12:22. > :12:35.came out of the water in Scotland start make it! And it is usually
:12:36. > :14:45.pretty cold water up there! Varies Bear Grylls on the left-hand side.
:14:46. > :14:53.He is such a great move. It is frustrating how many times he has
:14:54. > :14:58.slipped during this match. Just enough time to put you in some big
:14:59. > :15:00.trouble when you are playing against a guy who is as hungry as Dimitrov
:15:01. > :16:23.is. It is the sort of thing we are
:16:24. > :16:26.expecting to see from goalkeepers later on. A super move over to his
:16:27. > :17:07.right on Have we seen two players slipped
:17:08. > :17:10.this match at the latter stages of Wimbledon? I have seen it at the
:17:11. > :18:18.beginning. I do not remember it. This could be the first time where
:18:19. > :18:23.the players have to serve and volley. It is so slippery at the
:18:24. > :18:28.baseline that maybe they will think it will be better if I move forward.
:18:29. > :18:34.Keep away from the baseline. It is difficult. The conditions are
:18:35. > :18:41.impossible for the ground crew to do anything about. It is hot, windy and
:18:42. > :18:47.dry, not something we are used to. It does not happen here too often!
:18:48. > :18:51.The players are bigger, heavier, stronger and they are staying back.
:18:52. > :18:58.They about sink into the backhand corner. Over the course of two
:18:59. > :19:03.weeks, these courses take a pummelling. I think it is affecting
:19:04. > :19:10.the match a little bit too much. On Court Two yesterday there were real
:19:11. > :19:14.problems. I guess it is a chat for a different times but when it comes to
:19:15. > :19:18.slipping and sliding, these two guys are able to control what they are
:19:19. > :19:26.doing. If somebody like Brown which goes down, there will be a big dent
:19:27. > :20:00.in the court. -- Raonic. There is somebody being taken out
:20:01. > :20:05.from the side of the court. It happened yesterday in the tie-break.
:20:06. > :21:17.Get some water and some shade. Clearly it is worth a challenge
:21:18. > :21:23.there. Two points in the set. You do not know whether it is the chalk
:21:24. > :21:42.that flew up or the dust behind it. Apparently, both.
:21:43. > :22:18.Here we go. A tie-break to decide the third set. What an important few
:22:19. > :23:45.minutes this will be. It is impossible for it not to get
:23:46. > :24:39.in your head. His serve continues to be pretty
:24:40. > :26:00.awesome today. 15 aces already. He is going to have to find some
:26:01. > :26:29.inspiration and fast, if he is going to climb back into this tie-breaker.
:26:30. > :26:37.That is not thinking clearly at all. Shot selection at that time in a
:26:38. > :27:00.tie-breaker? It is a perfect break for Djokovic.
:27:01. > :27:08.He is one set away from a Wimbledon final.
:27:09. > :27:14.SUE BARKER: So, a comfortable tie-break for Novak Djokovic. He
:27:15. > :27:19.leads on Centre Court. We will be right back there. It is an all
:27:20. > :27:29.European semifinal on Centre Court and also in the World Cup which is
:27:30. > :27:30.coming up this afternoon on BBC One. Then the tennis will move over to
:27:31. > :27:44.BBC Two. Just before we head back to Centre
:27:45. > :27:49.Court, on Court 12, Jamie Murray and Casey Dellacqua are now one game
:27:50. > :27:54.away. They will be serving for the second set to level the match in the
:27:55. > :28:01.Mixed Doubles quarterfinal. That is currently over on BBC Two. On the
:28:02. > :28:06.red button, just about to get underway on Court Number One, it is
:28:07. > :28:14.Neil Skupski and Naomi Broady on court. Here on BBC One, we are
:28:15. > :28:26.heading back to Centre Court. Just the single break point on the
:28:27. > :28:31.tie-break. Grigor Dimitrov had an opportunity but was unable to take
:28:32. > :28:38.it. It is a bit surprisingly in the amount of winners. The unforced
:28:39. > :28:43.errors, but it came down to the tie-break. The double fault and then
:28:44. > :28:49.the drop shot, what was he thinking on that one? Two bad points back to
:28:50. > :28:53.back. You cannot afford to do that against Djokovic. If Djokovic goes
:28:54. > :28:59.through and wins the title, he will be welcomed but one again. He first
:29:00. > :29:04.achieved that after winning here in 2011. He will go to the top of the
:29:05. > :29:08.rankings. If Dimitrov loses here, he will go to number nine in the world,
:29:09. > :29:12.if he loses in the final he will be at number seven in the world. And he
:29:13. > :29:17.will be another five if he actually wins. Whatever happens, he will be
:29:18. > :29:23.above Andy Murray in the world rankings. Whatever happens with
:29:24. > :29:28.Novak Djokovic, you have to respect that he has been through a lot of
:29:29. > :29:33.wars out there. Some extremely difficult matches. I thought they
:29:34. > :29:37.would take more of a toll on him. The amount of effort and exertion
:29:38. > :29:41.that he has had to put into winning some of these matches in the last
:29:42. > :29:45.couple of years, I think that is partly why he hired Boris Becker to
:29:46. > :29:54.finish off guys like this, not put in an extra hour. Maybe he had that
:29:55. > :30:00.set and a break, he should have won that. Now he is in a real battle.
:30:01. > :30:06.This is where he hopes he can get through this guy now. Try and take
:30:07. > :30:11.advantage of his frailty in the tie-break where he seemed to lose
:30:12. > :30:22.it. He started to make some really bad decisions. You see it too often
:30:23. > :30:27.and you would like to see it not keep happening, but if it were is
:30:28. > :30:33.within the rules, it is probably a good idea that he took a couple of
:30:34. > :30:39.minutes -- if it were within the rules.
:30:40. > :31:58.He has become so mentally tough, Novak Djokovic.
:31:59. > :32:09.Both of these players are talisman for their own countries, Novak Jock
:32:10. > :32:27.Mitch in Serbia -- Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov in Bulgaria.
:32:28. > :32:59.He has certainly been tough with his serve, Dimitrov, and this is where
:33:00. > :33:01.it will pay off. He has to win both of these sets, the fourth and fifth
:33:02. > :33:42.to get to his first ever final. He needed that one after the first
:33:43. > :34:24.two points were a bit sloppy. That is the risk you take, when you
:34:25. > :34:32.run around that backhand return, you need to hit a return. The coach for
:34:33. > :34:36.a Dimitrov was nodding his approval, even though it was a
:34:37. > :34:41.mistake, it was the right thing to do, the coach for Dimitrov.
:34:42. > :35:01.I do not know if he should have hit it up the line, ripped it across the
:35:02. > :35:18.court. Novak Djokovic looks like he could sneak out of this game.
:35:19. > :35:35.The 27-year-old from Belgrade, living in Monte Carlo, dedicated to
:35:36. > :35:41.his task, just like the other three that make up the big four in tennis.
:35:42. > :35:47.Just number two in the world by a tiny margin, but because of his form
:35:48. > :35:55.on grass courts, he is the top seed at the Championships this year.
:35:56. > :37:00.Find the best return server ever, but throw in two straight doubles,
:37:01. > :37:21.he will be lucky to get out of this game.
:37:22. > :37:29.You are joking! I cannot believe this. This happened when he was
:37:30. > :37:35.serving against Novak Djokovic in Miami. An early-season match last
:37:36. > :37:40.year, and he suddenly lost his service rhythm. It has happened
:37:41. > :37:47.again, it goes off a little bit. This is more than a little bit right
:37:48. > :37:55.now! Three straight doubles! What does he do now? Throw it over!
:37:56. > :38:06.Please do not do that! This could be a first.
:38:07. > :38:15.That is a terrible game. Our body blow! It was self-inflicted.
:38:16. > :38:21.Dimitrov, three double faults. -- a body blow. That is peculiar. If
:38:22. > :38:26.Novak Djokovic goes on to win this match, it is not over yet, but his
:38:27. > :38:33.coach will look back and say that in the first set, he played that awful
:38:34. > :38:37.game and gave it to Novak Djokovic and he has given another breakaway
:38:38. > :38:43.and you do get dips in matches, but not that badly. Let me draw your
:38:44. > :38:48.attention to this, talk about staying in the game, Djokovic
:38:49. > :38:54.rallied and we have talked about Dimitrov getting himself into the
:38:55. > :39:02.match, Djokovic has moved up inside the court to dictate 37% inside the
:39:03. > :39:07.baseline. That is significant. He is a master strategist. You have got to
:39:08. > :39:12.give him credit. He sensed and knew he had to do something different. He
:39:13. > :39:18.had to deal with the slice and take the action away from Dimitrov and he
:39:19. > :39:23.started taking it to him, not only coming in on a big approach, but
:39:24. > :39:28.serving in volleys. It was brilliant, very smart to do that. If
:39:29. > :39:36.you are there, your opponent cannot be there. That is why it is still a
:39:37. > :39:42.one-on-one sport. The chemistry is still captivating. You cannot go out
:39:43. > :39:49.and just play your game. That is why they often bring coaches onto the
:39:50. > :40:07.court. But they have to figure it out for themselves.
:40:08. > :40:13.Clearly Dimitrov knows he has to do something different. He is getting a
:40:14. > :40:37.little desperate looking, trying shots that are too difficult.
:40:38. > :40:45.He managed to battle back, when he looked down and out in the second,
:40:46. > :41:10.he will have to rise to the occasion again and soon.
:41:11. > :41:17.It is pretty tough to bounce back from a game when you have served
:41:18. > :41:22.three doubles in a row. That was crashing to the spirit. He has
:41:23. > :41:24.probably never done it, well he said he did do it in a Grand Slam, but
:41:25. > :41:30.that was amazing. Once you see your fifth set, then it
:41:31. > :43:10.appears. This is incredible, that would show
:43:11. > :43:15.me something! If he could bounce right back and make it. That is a
:43:16. > :43:23.loose game from Novak Djokovic, here. That is why the pained
:43:24. > :43:50.expression is returning to the face of Boris Becker.
:43:51. > :43:58.You thought it was going to be easy. It was so -- it is not so fast to
:43:59. > :44:21.get to your first Wimbledon final. APPLAUSE. Well, that was a solid
:44:22. > :44:39.debut on the backhand from Djokovic, he knifed it through the court.
:44:40. > :45:01.APPLAUSE. That is it to! Way to go! Who would have thought it? -- that
:45:02. > :45:03.is it. He surely cannot serve as badly in the next game as he did on
:45:04. > :45:10.his last. Two Maria 's. -- Marias. Perfect!
:45:11. > :46:10.Outstanding. APPLAUSE. Dimitrov all out of ideas
:46:11. > :46:22.at the moment on his own serve. Did he hit that with two hands? Talk
:46:23. > :46:28.about playing G! Wait until you see his left-handed forehand!
:46:29. > :47:06.He should not miss that. It was set up beautifully. A big serve, where
:47:07. > :47:22.he wants that forehand to be. Loose point.
:47:23. > :48:44.APPLAUSE. What a hold! And a break before it!
:48:45. > :49:01.I do not know whether we are seeing a change in a guard, that has been
:49:02. > :49:06.much of the debate stop we have got Raonic and Dimitrov, who have never
:49:07. > :49:13.been beyond the second round of this Championship, suddenly they are
:49:14. > :49:18.looking a real threat. Dimitrov beat the defending champion. Is that a
:49:19. > :49:25.changing of the guard? That remains to be seen. What you are seeing is
:49:26. > :49:29.an much improved version, mentally, of Dimitrov. We have seen the
:49:30. > :49:32.flashiness, we have seen what he is capable of, but to come back from
:49:33. > :50:15.what he did, three doubles in a row, Movement here in Centre Court as
:50:16. > :50:27.people try and get out of the sun, it is a hot day. Djokovic serving.
:50:28. > :50:52.These are matches that will give you ulcers!
:50:53. > :50:58.Boris Becker wants to watch the France versus Germany game, but he
:50:59. > :51:11.will have to get this match out of the way first!
:51:12. > :51:16.He is trying to laugh it off, but the blood is boiling again, he has
:51:17. > :51:41.let this guy off the hook again. He got up more quickly so he could
:51:42. > :52:17.put more on it. Before when he hit the first point, he did not.
:52:18. > :52:37.APPLAUSE. He screamed into his shirt, so frustrated that he let
:52:38. > :53:04.that all fly along. -- ball. BS and flows in this match are
:53:05. > :53:15.unreal. He slept, but Dimitrov set up that night volley -- slipped. --
:53:16. > :53:36.ebbs and flows. A chance to take the break here. What a forehand! That
:53:37. > :53:41.was so low! I do not know what he is shaking his head about. Unbelievable
:53:42. > :53:51.forehand. That backhand slice was down by his ankles, how do you flip
:53:52. > :54:12.that up! You tell me, you said this guy would give up! We should have
:54:13. > :54:24.known, he will not give up! Second double faults. -- fault.
:54:25. > :54:41.Break point against full is -- again.
:54:42. > :55:08.He is edgy, but you cannot blame him.
:55:09. > :55:43.Magnificent match play, all the senses sharpened at the business end
:55:44. > :56:38.of the tournament. Another one of those big kicks. Top
:56:39. > :56:49.spin. He almost pulled his shoulder out trying to get that. A pretty
:56:50. > :56:54.intense semifinal. Very much so! They are awkward, difficult
:56:55. > :57:02.conditions. Both guys battling so hard to find a way into this
:57:03. > :57:18.Wimbledon final. She knows a thing or two about battling! Competing.
:57:19. > :57:24.It is incredible how often you hit a server against Novak Djokovic and
:57:25. > :57:27.you look down at your feet. That is where you have to hit the next shot
:57:28. > :59:07.from -- serve. the area where it is so dusty. He
:59:08. > :59:12.likes to hit off a strong base. That base is not necessarily there. It is
:59:13. > :59:20.hard to see the ball out there because of the dust!
:59:21. > :59:33.Don't these guys have enough to deal with already! What was the year
:59:34. > :59:43.where you beat Jimmy Connors? That was 30 years ago. Do you remember
:59:44. > :00:06.the court that day? Know, why, was it like this? They are under such a
:00:07. > :00:14.lot of strain in here. There are 15,000 people in here. It is quite
:00:15. > :00:18.enclosed, hot. I just wonder how much of this will be a focus after
:00:19. > :00:24.the match in the press conferences or whether they will not say too
:00:25. > :00:29.much about it. It is definitely an issue. One of the supervisors was
:00:30. > :00:33.called out on to Court Two yesterday. They were struggling to
:00:34. > :00:38.stand up even on the green bits. John McEnroe's suggestion is that
:00:39. > :00:46.they water the grass courts. We thank you for your contribution,
:00:47. > :00:52.John. It does not seem like a bad idea! With the pimples, you could
:00:53. > :00:58.sweep a bit of water out there. They do it at the French Open between
:00:59. > :01:03.sets. If you put too much on there could be trouble. These guys are
:01:04. > :01:09.pro-ess-macro, they will do just the right amount. At any rate, they will
:01:10. > :01:16.not do it this year. -- they are pros. There are Raonic and Federer
:01:17. > :02:25.saying, when are we going to play? A fantastic service game that is.
:02:26. > :02:37.Now we are getting crunch time in this set. Frustrated at the end of
:02:38. > :02:44.that last game. He won the game in just over a minute. That is why he
:02:45. > :02:51.has become one of the all-time best players. He is able to shrug that.
:02:52. > :03:20.He must feel that he should already be in the locker room.
:03:21. > :03:37.He just overcooked that one. He is coming to the net more in the last
:03:38. > :03:39.couple of sets. Trying to take the play away from this young man from
:03:40. > :04:25.Bulgarian. His serve is so big now. Another quick game. Dimitrov has
:04:26. > :04:30.proven himself and all court player. He won in Acapulco on the hard
:04:31. > :04:41.court, Bucharest on clay, Queens Court champion, of course, on grass.
:04:42. > :04:48.He is the only three surface winner. The first event he won Woodstock
:04:49. > :06:07.home cold indoors last November. -- was stop cold indoors.
:06:08. > :06:23.That is in. Slapped it, a clean winner. He thought it was long. That
:06:24. > :07:42.was a very unpleasant surprise. He could have gotten over there.
:07:43. > :08:03.So good at keeping his composure. So solid, the server has been.
:08:04. > :08:21.Look at Dean moves, look at the physicality that Dimitrov brings to
:08:22. > :09:08.this court. -- look at the moves. I am not sure that Djokovic can
:09:09. > :09:14.believe some of the standard of this play. He cannot believe he is a set
:09:15. > :09:44.away, a point away from being level. Djokovic applauding Dimitrov's good
:09:45. > :10:29.play. In the meantime, Djokovic... One,
:10:30. > :10:54.two. Shouldn't be laughing! It is tough out there.
:10:55. > :11:01.Fantastic front Novak Djokovic. Lesser sportsmen would have
:11:02. > :11:06.capitulated there. -- fantastic from Novak Djokovic. He will tire himself
:11:07. > :12:04.out if he keeps shouting like that. Dimitrov needed it to reach out and
:12:05. > :13:06.stabbed that volley. Great recovery from the
:13:07. > :13:11.disappointment in the previous game. I have got to say, given how
:13:12. > :13:15.difficult the conditions are, these guys are putting on a show. This is
:13:16. > :13:26.big-time, what you are watching today. Since Dimitrov rocked up at
:13:27. > :13:30.Queen 's club six years ago and got a wildcard and contributed so much,
:13:31. > :13:37.we have become used to this. Look at this. This is everything we could
:13:38. > :13:44.have hoped for. I suppose, if it goes to a fifth set, that is the
:13:45. > :13:49.only other thing we can ask. He won the junior title here and the US
:13:50. > :13:56.Open back in 2008. Know that Djokovic was already fully fledged
:13:57. > :14:03.champion. It takes time to go toe to toe with the great champions. This
:14:04. > :14:07.is his year. It shows you that players are not on the same time
:14:08. > :14:14.schedule. It takes them different times when they mature. No doubt was
:14:15. > :14:26.17 when he was fully mature. There is no age when you can put it down.
:14:27. > :14:28.It is played in the right spirit as well, this match. Brief
:14:29. > :15:15.acknowledgement, good. I do not think he expected to get
:15:16. > :15:29.another chance there. He should have done better with that ball.
:15:30. > :16:29.The heat has been a non-issue so far.
:16:30. > :16:42.Here we go again. A third set tie-break.
:16:43. > :16:50.Djokovic was faultless. What did Dimitrov do wrong? He played two bad
:16:51. > :18:10.points back to back. That was not his best moment.
:18:11. > :19:00.The first point against serve goes to the Bulgarian.
:19:01. > :19:20.So good. The elastic man. Which one? Absolutely, brilliant tennis.
:19:21. > :20:58.What a drop volley that was. Just outstanding.
:20:59. > :21:16.You are battling your nerves, it is so close. He can taste it.
:21:17. > :22:29.A surprising miss. He is having a hard time controlling his nerves.
:22:30. > :22:44.Not the effort that he was expecting.
:22:45. > :22:59.Ten years ago Sharapova knew what it takes to win at Wimbledon. She knows
:23:00. > :23:22.what her partner is going through now.
:23:23. > :25:15.This is just outstanding! The look on his face.
:25:16. > :25:32.That is big-time. What a point. He did not want to miss. He was just
:25:33. > :25:34.waiting to get Dimitrov off-balance. Then he just sprinted forward to hit
:25:35. > :26:09.that Molly. -- that volley. That is a desperate blow. Was it
:26:10. > :27:05.long? Oh, it is just out! Serve and volley on match point. I
:27:06. > :27:34.cannot believe he did that. Talk about expecting the unexpected.
:27:35. > :27:48.I think he is all right. That is a tough one. Will they call a rain?
:27:49. > :28:18.They are going to think about it. -- will they call a rain. -- trainer.
:28:19. > :28:44.Oh, he has got it. What a fighter. They both are.
:28:45. > :28:59.It is Djokovic who goes through to Sunday's final. The top seed
:29:00. > :29:07.advances. Dimitrov will look back on those three set points that he had
:29:08. > :29:12.and he will regret it. Obviously. But he has an awful lot to be proud
:29:13. > :29:19.of. He has battled hard. He showed a lot of character, he showed a lot of
:29:20. > :29:26.class. And this guy, this guy is as tough mentally as you will ever see
:29:27. > :29:33.on a tennis court. What an effort, what a classic. I didn't mean to
:29:34. > :29:37.sound disappointed. We were looking forward to a fifth. It was almost
:29:38. > :29:43.anti-climactic because you wanted a fifth. And then it was gone. You
:29:44. > :29:48.thought the other guy was going to win the set. Unbelievable. Just to
:29:49. > :29:55.show that young guy that it is not that easy. What a contribution to
:29:56. > :29:59.this tournament that Grigor Dimitrov has made. As soon as the draw was
:30:00. > :30:00.done, the match that so many were looking forward to was his
:30:01. > :30:20.quarterfinal with Andy Murray. Who thought that this would be as
:30:21. > :30:25.good as that? Is there are half hour between the matches, because there
:30:26. > :30:36.was yesterday. Maybe to water the court? May be. I think they will be
:30:37. > :30:40.coming out quickly. -- may be. The players need more time. We will hear
:30:41. > :30:48.from Novak Djokovic shortly. Talk about breathing a sigh of relief!
:30:49. > :30:55.Fascinating stuff. A three-hour match. Novak Djokovic has come
:30:56. > :31:02.through against Grigor Dimitrov. Let us get his thoughts.
:31:03. > :31:11.Congratulations. What was that like to be in that cauldron of heat? The
:31:12. > :31:20.semi-finals of Wimbledon, playing against a future star, I mean, he is
:31:21. > :31:25.already a top player, beating Andy Murray, definitely, he deserves
:31:26. > :31:29.respect. For his first semifinal, he was fighting and it was a tough
:31:30. > :31:36.match. The fourth set could have gone either way. I thought I started
:31:37. > :31:42.well, a couple of great points for double break and again, like the
:31:43. > :31:49.last match, I allowed my opponent to come back, but overall, I am glad to
:31:50. > :31:55.reach another Wimbledon final. We saw you shaking your head at some of
:31:56. > :32:01.the play he was able to produce. Then you showed your champion's
:32:02. > :32:07.mentality. Yes. He has quality shots, especially the running
:32:08. > :32:13.forehand and a great touch. He is playing equally well. When he is
:32:14. > :32:19.aggressive and he is defending. That is part of his game, this transition
:32:20. > :32:25.that he has improved immensely in the last eight months and you can
:32:26. > :32:29.see by his results. It is a good win for me. I am glad to be a part of
:32:30. > :32:36.another entertaining match and hopefully the crowd enjoyed it.
:32:37. > :32:45.Reaching the final is the least you expect, you want titles. Yes.
:32:46. > :32:52.Especially considering that I have lost the last couple of grand slam
:32:53. > :32:57.finals. Now, these matches, I could have lost. It is a big match.
:32:58. > :33:03.Whoever I play in the finals, I have to be on top of my game. It is the
:33:04. > :33:06.biggest event we have in sport. Your third final in four years, a
:33:07. > :33:12.tremendous achievement, congratulations again. SUE BARKER:
:33:13. > :33:17.He has come through a real battle against Grigor Dimitrov and coming
:33:18. > :33:22.back from 6-3 down, but he is such a great competitor and he has proved
:33:23. > :33:27.it again. Through to his third Wimbledon final, his 14th grand slam
:33:28. > :33:33.final, his coach will be delighted that that did not go the distance.
:33:34. > :33:37.Novak Jock of its -- Novak Djokovic embraces him at the end and he knows
:33:38. > :33:41.that Grigor Dimitrov will be a future champion. Novak Djokovic is
:33:42. > :33:47.true to the final. He will be back on Sunday. The first semi final is
:33:48. > :33:54.completed at Wimbledon and we are ready for number two -- he is
:33:55. > :34:14.through it to the final. -- through to the final.
:34:15. > :34:21.That is the next match here on Centre Court and I think Centre
:34:22. > :34:26.Court is stunned. Everyone is out to get refreshments, that match was so
:34:27. > :34:33.thrilling. That match had everything! Great drama, it is
:34:34. > :34:37.worthy of a Wimbledon semifinal. I do not know if Novak Djokovic will
:34:38. > :34:43.be pleased with his performance, he batted it out and came through in
:34:44. > :34:48.the end, but for a few spots there, he let his opponent creep back in.
:34:49. > :34:53.If he is going to win this Championship, he cannot let that
:34:54. > :34:58.happen. He is a great competitor. He was incredible throughout the match.
:34:59. > :35:03.He had to deal with adversity, he is not playing his best tennis. But he
:35:04. > :35:08.is through to the final. That speaks volumes for his character and his
:35:09. > :35:14.competitive spirit. We were sitting waiting for the fifth set and you
:35:15. > :35:20.think it will go the distance, but he found a way to wriggle out and
:35:21. > :35:26.win the fourth set. You mentioned that tie-break. Let us look at it.
:35:27. > :35:33.It was key. Dimitrov was in the driving seat. He certainly was. He
:35:34. > :35:39.got the mini-break. He had a few chances to put the ball away. One of
:35:40. > :35:47.the aspects of this match is the athletic ability. We have seen
:35:48. > :35:52.players sliding a bit, moving and controlled sliding, but they were
:35:53. > :35:57.incredible. I think the court is dusty. Their athletic ability is
:35:58. > :36:03.incredible. This was the first of the set points. He slept there and
:36:04. > :36:11.made Djokovic work. I mean, you cannot try any harder than that --
:36:12. > :36:16.slipped. It is great effort on the part of both players. They are
:36:17. > :36:21.trying everything. I keep going back to Wimbledon, if you cannot lay it
:36:22. > :36:30.on the line here every time, then I do not know what to say. Absolutely.
:36:31. > :36:35.Djokovic served the volley and you guys were surprised. It was a nice
:36:36. > :36:40.tactic and I do not know whether it had the conviction behind it, if he
:36:41. > :36:45.really believed it. Here is Dimitrov on match point down, could not
:36:46. > :36:53.control the drop volley and Djokovic was able to finish it off. Maybe one
:36:54. > :37:00.too many dropped volleys? One thing we noticed is that there is a strong
:37:01. > :37:04.breeze. Obviously Dimitrov was trying to hit the drop volley with
:37:05. > :37:09.the wind behind him. That gave Djokovic the chance to run it down.
:37:10. > :37:14.From this end of the court, when we see the serving, they will be
:37:15. > :37:20.dominant -- dominating the baseline volleys. There will be more
:37:21. > :37:26.challenges. We saw a lot of slips, what are the shoes they where these
:37:27. > :37:33.days? The grasscourt soul has pimples on it. In the green areas,
:37:34. > :37:38.that is fine. Where the court is completely bare, it is almost like
:37:39. > :37:43.concrete. Those pimples have got nothing to dig into and that is
:37:44. > :37:50.where they have been sliding a bit more. Jimmy, when you have not got
:37:51. > :37:55.confidence in your footing, it is off-putting. Especially the way the
:37:56. > :37:58.players are moving. They are picking up their feet and getting to every
:37:59. > :38:03.ball and trying to get into the right position to make contact. Do
:38:04. > :38:08.not have confidence in being able to move your feet to set up the shots,
:38:09. > :38:14.it puts that bit of doubt in there and you miss a few. We have had that
:38:15. > :38:19.sort of weather. We have had that warm weather which has taken a lot
:38:20. > :38:24.out of the ball. When you see those shots, the court is dry, but it is
:38:25. > :38:31.getting dusty. On a pay court, you have a top dressing of play and it
:38:32. > :38:35.makes you slide -- Clyde. The guys are trying to control the slide. We
:38:36. > :38:40.have not seen so much of that over the years, but with the way these
:38:41. > :38:46.two guys move on hard courts, that brings a new element. How will this
:38:47. > :38:51.affect the next match, because Federer will have to try and move on
:38:52. > :38:57.this baseline? It will be difficult. He will have to get his timing down
:38:58. > :39:01.quickly, play the ball back, once it is in play, he has the advantage. I
:39:02. > :39:06.think we will have to batten down the hatches, put extra covering on
:39:07. > :39:14.the back fences. There will be hard-hitting tennis to come. How
:39:15. > :39:22.will the wind affect the served? It will be interesting -- serve. They
:39:23. > :39:27.will not need to force the ball. Will the winds make it more
:39:28. > :39:32.difficult for Federer? Sometimes. The timing will have to be spot on.
:39:33. > :39:37.From the other end, it means you can be more aggressive, because you are
:39:38. > :39:42.playing into the wind. When I reflect on both their serving
:39:43. > :39:49.performances, they have only lost their serve three times between
:39:50. > :39:55.them. You would think on present form there will be few chances. It
:39:56. > :40:01.will be about who can create the chances. Federer, he knows what this
:40:02. > :40:05.is about. He has an air of supremacy and he will try and influence
:40:06. > :40:13.Ravitch. He has been here before, he knows this court and the conditions
:40:14. > :40:18.-- Raonic. He has won seven times. His comfort zone will be there.
:40:19. > :40:19.Raonic will have to get his footing at the beginning. And you start for
:40:20. > :40:39.him. -- a new start. Keane of the court and he has been
:40:40. > :40:49.perfect. Not a big crowd here -- King. I was going to say that
:40:50. > :40:54.Federer was the locker room watching their previous semifinal and he has
:40:55. > :40:59.the experience to know he has to come here and focus. He has to put
:41:00. > :41:04.in a good performance. But think he looked at that match and fancied his
:41:05. > :41:11.chances. It was very exciting -- I think. Federer would fancy playing
:41:12. > :41:17.Novak Djokovic in the final. Djokovic was not at his best. Roger
:41:18. > :41:22.Federer has said before, playing someone with a big serve, he has to
:41:23. > :41:27.take care of his serve and make sure he does not make any mistakes. Good
:41:28. > :41:34.point, it puts pressure on both sides. I think Raonic will do what
:41:35. > :41:35.he does best, serve hard and try and take advantage.
:41:36. > :41:41.sides. I think Raonic will do what he does best, serve hard When it
:41:42. > :41:46.comes down to it, he will let it rip on the returns. He will try and
:41:47. > :41:50.impose his height and strength on Roger Federer. Roger will have to
:41:51. > :41:59.get the ball and play, it is how well he gets the ball in play will
:42:00. > :42:08.stop it is a little cat and mouse game. In the early stages of the
:42:09. > :42:13.match, when you think that this is the Grand Slam semifinal, it is new
:42:14. > :42:21.territory for Ravitch at Wimbledon. He will want to rely on that --
:42:22. > :42:26.Raonic. If he does not get the first serves and Federer is able to get
:42:27. > :42:29.into the baseline rallies, it will be important that Raonic gets his
:42:30. > :42:34.speed moving early. When there is nervous tension, the legs beat heavy
:42:35. > :42:42.and the footwork is not as crisp as it can be and that is where Federer
:42:43. > :42:46.will have an opportunity. The word on Raonic is that he has a big serve
:42:47. > :42:53.and not much else, but that has changed. He moves well. We are going
:42:54. > :42:59.to move the tennis to BBC Two. We are closing down here to make way
:43:00. > :43:04.for the football. We are heading to Brazil for France versus Germany.
:43:05. > :43:10.That is coming up live here. We have got Roger Federer on BBC Two. He is
:43:11. > :43:16.in his ninth Wimbledon semifinal, he has never lost one of them. Roger
:43:17. > :43:18.Federer will play Milos Raonic. If you want to watch that, join us on
:43:19. > :43:22.BBC Two. Goodbye.
