:00:48. > :00:54.The quarter-finals of Wimbledon are no place for the faint-hearted. You

:00:55. > :01:09.need guts, skill and determination. You need to fight from first point

:01:10. > :01:20.to the last. No excuses. You have to be prepared to put your body on the

:01:21. > :01:25.line. Shot after shot, to the ups and the

:01:26. > :01:27.downs, whatever it takes, just get the job done.

:01:28. > :01:31.Fantastic. No way! How good is that? # You gotta fight for your right

:01:32. > :01:36.# To party... # Absolutely brilliant.

:01:37. > :01:42.It's a belter! This is fabulous stuff.

:01:43. > :01:50.Oh, glorious. Just superb. Wow! It's absolutely

:01:51. > :01:59.exhilarating watching these players. Oh, what is this tennis now? !

:02:00. > :02:06.So much to look forward to as it's men's quarter-finals day and a

:02:07. > :02:09.fascinate fact, as five of the eight men are in their first Wimbledon

:02:10. > :02:16.quarter-final, the other three are all champions - Murray, Federer and

:02:17. > :02:20.Djokovic. It promises to be a great day, Murray defending his crown,

:02:21. > :02:27.continuing that on Centre Court up against Dimitrov and, for the new

:02:28. > :02:31.star of Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios, not much time to savour his win

:02:32. > :02:35.yesterday, he's back on Court One. A big day for Andy in this

:02:36. > :02:38.quarter-final match but he's cruised through the first four rounds and

:02:39. > :02:43.looks very much at home on the grass once again.

:02:44. > :02:47.Then so does this man, Grigor Dimitrov. He's on a nine-match

:02:48. > :02:54.winning streak having won the tournament in Greece. He's heading

:02:55. > :02:57.to the practise courts now. Novak Djokovic knows about the big

:02:58. > :03:01.stage and the big occasion. He's through to his 21st consecutive

:03:02. > :03:06.Grand Slam quarter-final. But this is the man, the newsen says, Nick

:03:07. > :03:13.Kyrgios. What a day yesterday, putting out Rafael Nadal. He is the

:03:14. > :03:20.new star, not just of Wimbledon, but of tennis. This man is tipped as a

:03:21. > :03:24.champion as well. The 23-year-old versus the 19-year-old! So much to

:03:25. > :03:27.look forward to. Special guests in the Royal Box today, the Duke and

:03:28. > :03:31.Duchess of Cambridge have arrived to take their place. What an order of

:03:32. > :03:36.play they have out here. Not only Andy Murray on court, but also Roger

:03:37. > :03:41.Federer. We know that the Duchess is a big

:03:42. > :03:44.tennis fan and plays a lot of tennis, and a big supporter of

:03:45. > :03:55.Wimbledon. It's lovely to see them here today.

:03:56. > :03:59.Before we get under way with the play, Well got two ladies

:04:00. > :04:03.quarter-finals to be completed because of the rain we had on

:04:04. > :04:07.Saturday and Monday. That's where we are going to begin our coverage here

:04:08. > :04:12.on day nine. Just a few moments ago, out on Centre Court, the number

:04:13. > :04:17.three seed, Simona Halep, second favourite for the title, walked out

:04:18. > :04:26.to take on last year's beaten finalist, Sabine Lisicki. That match

:04:27. > :04:34.will be on the red button. Here on One, we are going to concentrate on

:04:35. > :04:37.Court One. And Bouchard, the Canadian sensation

:04:38. > :04:42.bidding to reach her third Grand Slam semi-final this year, she's

:04:43. > :04:46.copping out on to court here against Angelique Kerber fresh from

:04:47. > :04:53.yesterday's victory over Maria Sharapova.

:04:54. > :04:57.So what a bonus for the fans here at Wimbledon today. Not only the men's

:04:58. > :05:04.quarter-finals, but two ladies quarter-finals to look forward to.

:05:05. > :05:14.So here is the order of play very quickly:

:05:15. > :05:31.We have made our way here to Court One. Jimmy, great to see that

:05:32. > :05:34.opening about the men's quarter-finals because this is where

:05:35. > :05:38.it really does start for the top seeds? Well, the second week of

:05:39. > :05:42.Wimbledon is where the best players play their best tennis, you know,

:05:43. > :05:44.where the energy and the passion and everything starts to come out.

:05:45. > :05:48.You've gotten through the first week, you don't win in the first

:05:49. > :05:52.week but you do lose it and this is where everybody now sets their

:05:53. > :05:55.sights on winning. You don't want to get ahead of yourself, one match at

:05:56. > :05:59.a time, just like they have to get to this point, but their level of

:06:00. > :06:03.play rises every day. So many talking points and not long to do

:06:04. > :06:08.it! But Murray against Dimitrov, when the draw was made, everyone is

:06:09. > :06:11.looking forward to it, du there's added spice, Murray looking at home

:06:12. > :06:17.on the grass and Dimitrov winning at Queen's? Yes, Dimitrov's come into

:06:18. > :06:22.his own and we talk about his pen, he's a great shot-maker. Dimitrov's

:06:23. > :06:28.won three titles this year, one in Acapulco, he beat Murray along the

:06:29. > :06:33.way in the semi-finals on hard court but Andy was on the come back trail

:06:34. > :06:37.from the back Jr.ry. I'm really looking forward to this match

:06:38. > :06:42.because Tim trove at 23 is much more mature, he's strong -- Dimitrov.

:06:43. > :06:46.He's been working with his new coach for just under a year. He has so

:06:47. > :06:51.much belief and has played so well on grass. Andy is on a 17-match

:06:52. > :06:56.winning streak on grass, dating back to the Olympics. Great shot-making

:06:57. > :07:00.in that match, but superjumboey, the shot-making yesterday from Nick

:07:01. > :07:05.Kyrgios, what about that? ! I got here the second week, I was able to

:07:06. > :07:10.watch him play a bit along the way and to get through Gasquet was

:07:11. > :07:14.exceptional, but he's going out there, he's playing like he's a

:07:15. > :07:18.seasoned veteran. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, he's still

:07:19. > :07:23.young. He's so casual! Yes. You know, how can you argue with that.

:07:24. > :07:25.He has the game, he that is charisma and the attitude, so give it a go.

:07:26. > :07:33.That's the thing. and the attitude, so give it a go.

:07:34. > :07:38.kid only 19 years, only 1-1 tour all year on the ATP in Nottingham on

:07:39. > :07:41.grass a couple of weeks ago at challenger level. Coming out against

:07:42. > :07:50.the world number one, Nadal, former the world number one, Nadal, former

:07:51. > :07:56.served in this match, so an absolute missile. He finishes with an ace, so

:07:57. > :08:01.much talent and potential, 6'4", he's such a great athlete. At 14, he

:08:02. > :08:05.was a great basketball star. They said, which one do you want, tennis

:08:06. > :08:07.or basketball when he was 14, thank goodness he chose tennis. And there

:08:08. > :08:12.he is warming up. Not much time toe goodness he chose tennis. And there

:08:13. > :08:14.savour the victory. In some ways, Jimmy, that might be a bonus? I

:08:15. > :08:17.think so. He had such a great Jimmy, that might be a bonus? I

:08:18. > :08:21.yesterday, but to go home and Jimmy, that might be a bonus? I

:08:22. > :08:25.back again, sometimes you go flat if you have a day off and you have to

:08:26. > :08:26.try to work your way back into form. This way, he's going to stay on the

:08:27. > :08:32.trail. He's got a tough match today, This way, he's going to stay on the

:08:33. > :08:37.don't get me wrong. His opponent has a big serve, just like Kyrgios, so

:08:38. > :08:43.it will be cat-and-mouse play, you know, whoever gets the returns and

:08:44. > :08:48.doesn't packic will -- panic will win this match. Murray is second on

:08:49. > :08:53.centre, but we are here for Kerber v Bouchard. Kerber great victory

:08:54. > :08:58.yesterday against Sharapova so same for her in a way? Biggest match win

:08:59. > :09:04.of her career yesterday and the way she had to do it, 5-2 in the third

:09:05. > :09:09.set, she had a match point, lost it, then had so many in the last game as

:09:10. > :09:12.well that. 's what to me was so impressive because we know that

:09:13. > :09:16.Sharapova competes so well and is tough getting across the finish

:09:17. > :09:20.line, particularly at the end of the third set. For Kerber, she's been

:09:21. > :09:23.here before, a former semi-finalist, I worry that she could have a let

:09:24. > :09:27.down because the match was so recent. She has been in the top ten

:09:28. > :09:33.for a while and I also worry about the lady on the other side! Bouchard

:09:34. > :09:37.has a lot of talent. Let's look at the draw as it stands to put it in

:09:38. > :09:45.context. We had two of the quarter-finals yesterday that were

:09:46. > :09:50.completed,. Completed. These players are playing catch-up but that's not

:09:51. > :10:01.what we'd expect at the start of the coursement is it? That's right.

:10:02. > :10:05.So young and coming into her own, but no-one is talking about Halep

:10:06. > :10:09.because she has no experience on grass. She got to the finals of the

:10:10. > :10:13.French and took Sharapova to three sets, so really interesting because

:10:14. > :10:18.we are starting to see new names in women's tennis. That's good, isn't

:10:19. > :10:22.it? I mean Bouchard is like Kyrgios, the new star? Youth, you know,

:10:23. > :10:26.somebody has to come in now and take over from the champions and let them

:10:27. > :10:30.earn their way still and let the young guys and women come in and

:10:31. > :10:36.play the kind of tennis to start making their reputation. I love

:10:37. > :10:41.seeing that. Kyrgios and Bouchard and Halep, you know, new names on

:10:42. > :10:46.the horizon. It's going to be hard to move the champions aside though.

:10:47. > :10:48.Talking of moving. We have got to move, the players about to get under

:10:49. > :10:55.way. Thank you very much.

:10:56. > :11:00.Now we go to the commentary box and join David.

:11:01. > :11:10.All yours. DAVID:

:11:11. > :11:54.A great day for the semi-final. Bouchard chose to serve.

:11:55. > :11:58.Loves to take the ball early, Bouchard, loves to move forward.

:11:59. > :12:21.Very comfortable around the net. Ang leek Kerber, how much did that

:12:22. > :12:25.great match with Maria Sharapova take out of her physically and

:12:26. > :12:57.mentally? Bouchard had a day off yesterday. Big difference.

:12:58. > :13:02.APPLAUSE Already racking up the winners,

:13:03. > :13:29.Bouchard. Tracy's made her way into the booth.

:13:30. > :13:37.Two women out there, physically strong and tough mentally too?

:13:38. > :13:44.TRACEY: Very much so. I watched most of

:13:45. > :13:49.Bouchard's matches this fortnight at Wimbledon. At critical stages in

:13:50. > :13:53.matches where she's 3-3, 4-4, deuce, and she seems to be able to raise

:13:54. > :14:08.her level. To me, that's what you look for in champions.

:14:09. > :14:43.That is the coach of Angelique Kerber, Benjamin.

:14:44. > :14:57.The third match between the two. All have been at the majors.

:14:58. > :15:21.Love game for Kerber to get her side of the score board moving. Kerber is

:15:22. > :15:29.such a phenomenal mover, terrific on defence. We saw her use that so well

:15:30. > :15:31.yesterday with Sharapova. Consistently took the body blows and

:15:32. > :15:52.was able to neutralise the point. I think we saw in that rally that

:15:53. > :16:00.she's not the only one who moves well around the court there? Very

:16:01. > :16:03.good athlete as will. -- as well. Bouchard's gotten so much stronger.

:16:04. > :16:09.That's been the big difference in the last year.

:16:10. > :16:17.Strength and ability to move quicker, push off on her serve.

:16:18. > :16:24.Always technically sound. Bouchard ranked 66 last year. She moves into

:16:25. > :16:53.the top ten this year. One word I would use to describe

:16:54. > :17:00.Bouchard is aggressive. Her coach there on the left. Her

:17:01. > :17:33.coach for years, from 11 or 12. Both women have had love service

:17:34. > :17:37.games, both have got over the early nerves. How much of a factor is it

:17:38. > :17:42.that Bouchard had the day off yesterday and that Angelique kerb,

:17:43. > :17:47.was busting a gut to beat Sharapova? I think it's a definite factor

:17:48. > :17:51.physically but also mentally, the fact that Kerber had the biggest win

:17:52. > :17:55.of her career yesterday and I think it would have been very important

:17:56. > :18:00.for her team, for her coach, to make sure that she celebrated, gave her a

:18:01. > :18:06.big hug, enjoyed the moment, did her press conference and the recovery,

:18:07. > :18:10.the massage, the stretching, make sure he had enough liquids then OK

:18:11. > :18:13.say now it's time to get ready for the quarter-final match and to move

:18:14. > :18:20.on, so that she doesn't have a letdown.

:18:21. > :18:31.Kerber has been to two semi-finals. That should help some. Semi-finals

:18:32. > :18:53.at Wimbledon and semi-finals at the US Open as well.

:18:54. > :19:00.No doubt in my mind Bouchard has the Bettisoner serve. -- better serve.

:19:01. > :19:29.She can serve more unreturnables. The leftiness of Kerber can get

:19:30. > :19:33.tricky on the serve and, neither of these players gives up much ground

:19:34. > :19:44.off the baseline, they both absorb pace and hit hard and flat.

:19:45. > :20:05.Obviously there's bound to be a left handed finalist. If Kerber could get

:20:06. > :20:09.there, we'd have an all-left handed women's final, pore the first time

:20:10. > :20:38.since 1880s. It's easy for me to remember the

:20:39. > :20:46.match that Jimmy Connors played in, I was the umpire. There were no

:20:47. > :21:01.fireworks, he played out of his mind.

:21:02. > :21:21.Kerber's served more in the Championships.

:21:22. > :21:30.APPLAUSE - Bouchard shows a lot of serves

:21:31. > :21:35.like that to me. She picks her spots. It's not going to blow by

:21:36. > :21:40.you, but it's going to be 100mph and it will be within six inches of the

:21:41. > :21:56.line, so she gets a nice second shot to finish the point.

:21:57. > :22:03.First double fault. Believe it or not, that's only the fifth double

:22:04. > :22:29.that Bouchard served in the Championships.

:22:30. > :22:35.Annoyed with herself there. Kerber doesn't make a lot of unforced

:22:36. > :23:06.errors. You were making the point, Tracey

:23:07. > :23:15.that butch hard has an excellent serve, she's slightly the taller at

:23:16. > :23:22.5'10" to 5'8" and the aces and the unreturnable, it makes it look nice

:23:23. > :23:27.for her? To me, technically, watching videos and studying the

:23:28. > :23:32.serve, she's so technically sound, she's much more side-on, brings that

:23:33. > :23:38.right foot up to meet the left and the left tip of Bouchard goes over

:23:39. > :23:44.the baseline to get that strong, pronounced knee bend and really

:23:45. > :23:48.propels herself up and out and rotates everything going forward.

:23:49. > :23:52.Angelique Kerber, to me, she doesn't use her legs that well and

:23:53. > :23:56.frequently, she's already facing the net when she's hitting the ball and

:23:57. > :23:58.actually striking the ball, so she's losing a lot of power for those two

:23:59. > :24:34.reasons. Loves to take the ball early,

:24:35. > :24:54.Bouchard. As a result, she does make perhaps more unforced errors.

:24:55. > :25:10.Really gets down to it so well and turns her shoulders, hips uncoil.

:25:11. > :25:38.Straight towards her target. Trying to attack the Kerber second

:25:39. > :26:04.serve. Hanging in there waiting to be smacked.

:26:05. > :26:15.That serve utterly dominant at the moment -- her serve.

:26:16. > :26:39.15 minutes gone and no indication as to who might win this match.

:26:40. > :26:44.more than most in the last few weeks, in the finals of Eastbourne,

:26:45. > :27:08.Madison Keys and the last three matches have gone to three sets.

:27:09. > :27:13.Very unusual. Bouchard has a safe serve. Usually gets good height over

:27:14. > :27:44.the net, then dives into the court. One thing about Bouchard, I've

:27:45. > :27:47.noticed with a few matches in Australia and Roland Garros, she

:27:48. > :27:57.never backs off, never stops looking to attack. I think is sun is clearly

:27:58. > :28:17.a factor here. I played yesterday right about this time.

:28:18. > :28:27.Partner wanted me to serve with the the sun was moving left to right and

:28:28. > :28:37.where Bouchard is. Right about this time, round about 1 o'clock as you

:28:38. > :28:43.throw the ball up, so maybe she could adjust her toss. Tracey was on

:28:44. > :28:54.That's a little wild. And here is the winning side...

:28:55. > :29:00.That's a little wild. And here is the first break point of the match.

:29:01. > :29:40.This is a crucial point. Plenty of time for Bouchard to set up.

:29:41. > :29:53.No matter what the score is. Reminds me so much of a Maria Sharapova type

:29:54. > :30:03.or Monica Selles, if we go back a few years. That's the way they play.

:30:04. > :30:08.Push the power back. Always want power max. Really struggling with

:30:09. > :30:30.the sun. Sometimes you are semi blinded. It

:30:31. > :30:33.takes you a moment or two to refocus, that might be explaining

:30:34. > :30:45.the errors on the second shot. Second break point for Kerber.

:30:46. > :30:59.Really love that play. It hits such a penetrating backhand and sees that

:31:00. > :31:02.Kerber is going to go with the slice, she is so out of position and

:31:03. > :32:12.Bouchard with the winning volley. Three forehand errors to go down

:32:13. > :32:16.three break points now. The much missed Dan Maskell would be

:32:17. > :32:21.looking down and saying vital century game.

:32:22. > :32:40.Well, she is making life hard for herself, isn't she? Fourth time

:32:41. > :32:45.Kerber has had the opportunity to break and they have all come from

:32:46. > :32:59.errors from Bouchard, who in fairness has played the break points

:33:00. > :33:09.quite brilliantly. And she has done it again.

:33:10. > :33:19.Backhand from Bouchard is so lethal. The same position and you can't tell

:33:20. > :33:21.which way she is going to go, she can send it crosscourt or up the

:33:22. > :33:35.line. How about that! That is an amazing

:33:36. > :33:42.drop volley I, from so far away from the net. TriI fibbing innocence. --

:33:43. > :33:44.finesse. Look how far back she is! That is

:33:45. > :34:27.tougher to measure. Deuce for the fifth time then.

:34:28. > :34:44.As we approach eight minutes for this game.

:34:45. > :34:50.Really so much pressure from both players to feel the need to get the

:34:51. > :35:11.ball deep enough, with enough penetration, or else their opponent

:35:12. > :35:18.will step up. The first psychological blow is struck by

:35:19. > :35:19.Bouchard, holding from three break points down.

:35:20. > :35:22.SUE BARKER: What a match, points down.

:35:23. > :35:26.SUE BARKER: What a what tennis, we will be back on Court One in a

:35:27. > :35:30.moment. While the players change ends, a reminder that the other

:35:31. > :35:34.quarter-final of the ladies is taking place on Centre Court and

:35:35. > :35:45.that is on the red button. Simona Halep against Sabine Lisicki and

:35:46. > :35:50.also on Court Three, that match between Peng and her point innocent.

:35:51. > :35:58.We are enjoying this match on Court One.

:35:59. > :36:03.Hawk-Eye tells us where the ball is in or out. Look at this, already,

:36:04. > :36:09.the Claire pattern, Bouchard much more -- the clear pattern. Bouchard

:36:10. > :36:16.maying more of her shots from inside the baseline. Hardly backing off.

:36:17. > :36:19.Very different stats for Kerber. I consider both players very

:36:20. > :36:23.aggressive and none of them like to back off too far behind the

:36:24. > :36:28.baseline, but Bouchard is even more willing to step inside the baseline,

:36:29. > :36:32.any time she can. Very comfortable in that transition area, and moving

:36:33. > :36:37.forward and finishing points off at the net. Proproficient volleyer for

:36:38. > :36:38.sure. -- more proficient volleyer for

:36:39. > :37:02.sure. Oh, she had an open court, and she

:37:03. > :37:07.knows it! What a huge difference in second

:37:08. > :37:11.serves. 75mph and Bouchard really got a good look that the backhand.

:37:12. > :38:15.She needs to not be discouraged by that play.

:38:16. > :38:20.Really showing some phenomenal versatility with this drop shot,

:38:21. > :38:24.making Kerber run the maximum distance. Most players wouldn't have

:38:25. > :38:29.been able to get their racket on the ball. Great effort. Needs a first

:38:30. > :38:37.serve here from Kerber, she has missed the first three serves.

:38:38. > :38:53.Return right on to the baseline and now it is Bouchard's turn to have

:38:54. > :38:58.break points. Kerber shakes her head and looks

:38:59. > :39:03.over to her box, she is the one that can become more emotional. Next to

:39:04. > :39:07.her coach is the Fed Cup captain. The Fed Cup of course the equivalent

:39:08. > :39:24.of the Davis Cup for women. Kerber got used to that yesterday.

:39:25. > :39:34.Can she save another I am

:39:35. > :39:55.challenging. That is going to be No, not that close. Do you know

:39:56. > :40:22.good optician you can recommend, Tracy?

:40:23. > :40:31.Kerber was in trouble, right from that second serve.

:40:32. > :40:46.Third break point. Oh, both have raised their game when break

:40:47. > :40:50.point down. Whoever uses that one-two punch so often -- Kerber.

:40:51. > :41:08.The forehand up the line. Well, Bouchard saved four break

:41:09. > :41:19.points. Now Kerber trying to do the same.

:41:20. > :41:28.The advantage of a lefty, that swinging serve in the court wins

:41:29. > :41:34.when so many vital points are played.

:41:35. > :42:50.Great reaction, she is pumped. She is quietly, a little glimpse up to

:42:51. > :42:54.her coach, and the 31 minutes gone, Bouchard is serving

:42:55. > :43:17.for the opening set. It is forehand down-the-line she is

:43:18. > :43:23.missing, is she late on the shot? She tends to miss on that wing more

:43:24. > :43:26.frequently, I would suspect that Kerber should target that side more,

:43:27. > :43:46.the backhand so steady and sure. The difference in the serve... Keep

:43:47. > :43:50.her arms up, immediately keeping the upper body nice and firm and

:43:51. > :44:48.uncoils. Two set points for the 20-year-old

:44:49. > :45:23.from Canada. It is wide. And Kerber's challenging

:45:24. > :45:29.the call. And interestingly, Bouchard is not exactly racing to

:45:30. > :45:33.the chair, she is pausing mid court. But out it was, and Bouchard has the

:45:34. > :45:55.set. After 34 minutes. SUE BARKER: So first set to the

:45:56. > :45:59.20-year-old from Canada, right back on Court Number One, on Centre Court

:46:00. > :46:05.here is Simona Halep serving set point in the first set, against

:46:06. > :46:11.Sabine Lisicki. Lisicki had a break early on in the match. Halep broke

:46:12. > :46:17.back, broke again and she has held to take the opening set 6-4. So the

:46:18. > :46:22.three, number three seed in charge. That match continue tons red button.

:46:23. > :46:29.Next up on centring well the defending champion returns to

:46:30. > :46:40.continue his Wimbledon challenge. -- next up on centre. Expectations are

:46:41. > :46:44.high as stheps back out. Game second match. What a perfect start. Blaz

:46:45. > :46:48.Rola, he admired Andy Murray for some time, and now he gets the

:46:49. > :46:56.chance. As comprehensive a victory as you

:46:57. > :47:03.are likely to see. Bautista Agut of Spain. As Andy Murray stays in for

:47:04. > :47:08.the second week. Murray in control. That is the shot of the tournament.

:47:09. > :47:14.The seventh success Si year he is through to the quarter-finals.

:47:15. > :47:17.SUE BARKER: And looking to go further into the semifinals but he

:47:18. > :47:20.is up against Grigor Dimitrov who is enjoying the best season of his

:47:21. > :47:26.career so far. That is the next match on centre, but back we go to

:47:27. > :47:41.Court One. DAVID MERCER: Kerber serving then,

:47:42. > :47:45.start of the second set. Emotionally very important for

:47:46. > :48:10.Kerber having lost the last three game, to reassert her position, the

:48:11. > :48:14.start of this set. Wow! I was not impressed Kerber completed that last

:48:15. > :48:29.game. She seemed to deflate. Didn't compete point in, point out.

:48:30. > :48:48.That is so critical, getting more first serves in.

:48:49. > :48:56.First ace of the match for Angelique Kerber, she starts the second set,

:48:57. > :48:59.with a love game. I think it's important for Kerber to have

:49:00. > :49:02.with a love game. I think it's hiring first service percentage than

:49:03. > :49:10.Bouchard. Her second serve hiring first service percentage than

:49:11. > :49:15.that break in the eighth game of the first set. Also just wonder,

:49:16. > :49:21.physically whether she is been a little bit spent, I mean she really

:49:22. > :49:22.relies on her defence and movement. Long match yesterday with Maria

:49:23. > :49:37.Sharapova, winning 7-5 in the third. Bouchard had the day off, probably

:49:38. > :49:57.went over and practised, maybe an hour, hour-and-a-half at most.

:49:58. > :50:01.Arangi is where the practice courts are. It used to belong to New

:50:02. > :50:27.Zealand, it is a Maori name. She just lofted the ball up to get

:50:28. > :51:00.the point back to neutral. So Beth women start the second set

:51:01. > :51:06.with love service games. Bouchard, the junior champion here two years

:51:07. > :51:13.ago and another Canadian won the boy singles. She has moved on, he is

:51:14. > :51:31.4241 in the world rankings, no guarantee of success. -- 241.

:51:32. > :51:40.The game is just getting bigger and bigger, you saw Kyrgios beating

:51:41. > :51:42.Nadal. He is six foot 4 and moves well.

:51:43. > :52:01.-- 6'4 and moves well. That is a wonderful half-volley from

:52:02. > :52:06.Kerber. She is known for absorbing pace so well. Look how she uses her

:52:07. > :52:09.legs and redirects the ball up the line, and that demands terrific

:52:10. > :52:33.hands and skill. Packs next to Bouchard on Sunday and

:52:34. > :52:36.she spent a good 15, 20 minutes on return of serves is alone, just to

:52:37. > :52:57.get the groove. She was asking the umpire how close

:52:58. > :53:03.that was and the umpire said if the Fish was a big one. She chose not to

:53:04. > :53:12.challenge. She is regarded as the best woman umpire, right up with the

:53:13. > :53:18.men's umpires as well. That is second serve is getting the

:53:19. > :53:25.treatment, time and time again now. Break point Bouchard. Kerber says

:53:26. > :53:48.OK, I will try to send it to the forehand, same answer.

:53:49. > :53:55.You were talking with Jimmy Connors before this match began, about the

:53:56. > :53:59.Changing of the Guard, and particularly in the women's game.

:54:00. > :54:04.You go back to last years US Open when is not everyone a year away and

:54:05. > :54:12.of the four semifinalists three of them were 30 or over. Li Na wins the

:54:13. > :54:21.Australian Open but since thing the youngsters have really started to

:54:22. > :54:28.come through. Stevens, even though... Madison Keys You can

:54:29. > :54:32.really start to feel a little bit of a change, of the sea change, but at

:54:33. > :54:36.the same time, you also feel like the veterans are still there, so it

:54:37. > :54:41.is quite an interesting time, because you have Li Na who won the

:54:42. > :54:45.Australian Open, 32-year-old and Maria Sharapova at 27, but she won

:54:46. > :54:48.her first Grand Slam ten years ago here at Wimbledon, so been round a

:54:49. > :54:56.long time. Now you can Saturday to see the future of women's tennis is

:54:57. > :55:02.going to be safe. And exciting. And you know one thing? They don't make

:55:03. > :55:17.a noise, and that is for me a huge bonus.

:55:18. > :55:32.Bouchard only 20-year-old but she seems so much more mature than that.

:55:33. > :55:36.Reminds me very much of Maria Sharapova at this age and the fact

:55:37. > :55:42.she knows where she wants to go, has those goals and is very professional

:55:43. > :56:05.in her way that she goes about getting them.

:56:06. > :56:13.That is going to be problematic for Kerber if she misses shots like

:56:14. > :56:16.that. I have look at her forehand and she seems to have disappeared a

:56:17. > :56:49.little emotionally here. That's better. You mentioned Dan

:56:50. > :56:54.Maskell and that seventh game being so important. Bouchard saved four

:56:55. > :57:00.break points, was able to hold 4-3, and she has won five games on the

:57:01. > :57:07.stretch, excuse me at the same time that Kerber has only one won, so a

:57:08. > :57:11.very different complexion on the match. Bouchard held in the seventh

:57:12. > :57:34.game. Six of the last seven games now won

:57:35. > :57:38.by Bouchard, and this becomes a must-win game for Angelique Kerber.

:57:39. > :57:59.Does she have the mental strength here to get back on track?

:58:00. > :58:08.There was a little noise there, but that was more of an, oh, finally

:58:09. > :58:21.feels good to hit a winner. Be in control. We will allow her that.

:58:22. > :58:29.SUE BARKER: We are coming to the end of our transmission here on BBC One.

:58:30. > :58:34.We will continue in 45 minutes time. Coming up Andy Murray continues the

:58:35. > :58:38.defence of his Wimbledon title against the inform Grigor Dimitrov,

:58:39. > :58:42.the champion of Queens. There is Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and

:58:43. > :58:46.the new sensation Nick Kyrgios still to come here today at Wimbledon. But

:58:47. > :58:51.we will continue our tennis coverage now on BBC Two, so if you want to

:58:52. > :59:04.see this match, and indeed more, join us over on Two. Goodbye.

:59:05. > :59:06.Looks like everyone's image of paradise.

:59:07. > :59:09.22 years after first visiting Australia...

:59:10. > :59:16.I'll be here for ever. I love this place so much.

:59:17. > :59:21.what did you do then about the snakes?

:59:22. > :59:23.I didn't tell anyone. JOHN LAUGHS

:59:24. > :59:24.I've never chased a cow in a helicopter.

:59:25. > :59:29.You put him in the back of a Transit van?! Yeah.
