:00:00. > :00:10.SUE BARKER: What a match this could be. Djokovic is aiming for his

:00:11. > :00:29.seventh Grand Slam and yesterday, the 2011 champion won her second

:00:30. > :00:36.title. Roger Federer is going for his eighth Wimbledon, his 18th Grand

:00:37. > :00:41.Slam. Is that destiny. We will find out. We have moved around, Jimmy is

:00:42. > :00:47.joined by Tim. You want to add to the 8s? You forgot to mention

:00:48. > :00:52.Federer was born on the 8th day of the 8th month, so another 8! The

:00:53. > :00:59.management team he is part of is Team 8! It must be his lucky number

:01:00. > :01:08.then? I missed the memo for the Royal blue suit today! You are

:01:09. > :01:15.close. Mac at least had the tie on! I thought my tie was alright! It is

:01:16. > :01:19.OK. This, Jimmy, is where - you have talked about wanting to get out here

:01:20. > :01:22.on court. These must be agonising moments because it is that long

:01:23. > :01:27.wait. You want to get out there? You do. There comes a point where you

:01:28. > :01:31.say, "Let's get on with it already!" We have been talking about

:01:32. > :01:34.the build-up for the last couple of days and they are in the locker

:01:35. > :01:44.room. I am sure they are listening. If you are not, you should be! They

:01:45. > :01:46.want to go out now. Enough of the practise, enough of everything

:01:47. > :01:53.that's happened in the past, let's see who is the best. Absolutely. It

:01:54. > :01:56.is so tough to pick a winner. We were talking about Djokovic, he

:01:57. > :02:01.needs to raise the level of his game and he will? Most definitely. That

:02:02. > :02:05.is the fascinating aspect. We have a two-horse race. There is so much

:02:06. > :02:11.analysis into so many different areas. I was looking at first serve

:02:12. > :02:15.points won for Federer is at 83%, Djokovic is at 77%. The points won

:02:16. > :02:21.behind second serve - Federer is ahead. All these things are aspects

:02:22. > :02:24.for us to talk about. Now is for the players to get out there and push

:02:25. > :02:29.the stats aside and see who can win three sets this afternoon. What a

:02:30. > :02:33.wonderful time it must be for Mr Federer, Roger's dad. Watching his

:02:34. > :02:38.son play, it must be such an easy - he doesn't put him through many

:02:39. > :02:41.nerves? They do say sometimes it is much worse watching than it is

:02:42. > :02:46.playing. They are not in control of the outcome of the match. Certainly,

:02:47. > :02:50.with their history of watching their son perform so well, they will be

:02:51. > :02:54.keen for this to be Grand Slam title 18. You can put a great case for

:02:55. > :02:58.both of them. Djokovic hasn't played his best, but he is through to the

:02:59. > :03:02.final. That is a good sign. It is whether he can raise his levels and

:03:03. > :03:06.produce the performance of the tournament for himself to take down

:03:07. > :03:12.Federer. Another thing, Sue, Mr Federer is up there. It's never

:03:13. > :03:16.enough. He is still working, he is still doing his job and I know Mr

:03:17. > :03:19.Federer is up there, he can say he's had a great career, but for Roger

:03:20. > :03:24.that is not true. He is still out here, he wants to set records and

:03:25. > :03:28.when his name is mentioned, he wants his name to be the only one up

:03:29. > :03:35.there. Never enough for him. We will see. Well, we will be closing the

:03:36. > :03:42.vote. We did ask who would win this final. We will tell you in a moment.

:03:43. > :03:46.It is getting close to the time that this final gets under way. The

:03:47. > :03:51.players will be emerging very soon for that walk to Centre Court and it

:03:52. > :03:57.is a walk the great champions know so well. The calmness around, but

:03:58. > :04:02.once they say OK, time, let's play, things change. Making that walk

:04:03. > :04:08.sometimes, you are about to lose your lunch. I was unbelievably

:04:09. > :04:11.nervous. Ice-cold hands. You do go through some emotions and how well

:04:12. > :04:15.will I do and what is going to happen. The butterflies in your

:04:16. > :04:19.stomach, you have to face what is to come, the walk on to the Centre

:04:20. > :04:22.Court, the history behind that, the 15,000 people waiting for you to

:04:23. > :04:26.come and perform. They can pick you up and they tell you it is about

:04:27. > :04:31.time to walk on Centre Court, that is when it starts to sink in. The

:04:32. > :04:36.emotions and the expectations and excitement. You follow the player,

:04:37. > :04:40.or the other player follows you. There is a build-up and a sense of

:04:41. > :04:45.pride and sense of accomplishment that you have got to this point. The

:04:46. > :04:50.only thing that catch my eye was the quote from Kipling, to meet triumph

:04:51. > :04:54.and disaster. You turn left and see the winner's board. Hoping that you

:04:55. > :04:58.might win and you put your name on that board. I am here to do a job.

:04:59. > :05:06.One more step. If I don't make this step, I will regret it. The Angie --

:05:07. > :05:08.the energy from the crowd was something else. The walk from the

:05:09. > :05:13.locker room was something very special. The anticipation of what

:05:14. > :05:16.you are expected to do gets you revved up and ready to go.

:05:17. > :05:27.SUE BARKER: There is such a buzz around the place, even the linesmen

:05:28. > :05:32.and women got a huge roar coming out on to court. Everybody wants to be

:05:33. > :05:36.here to watch what could be one of THE classic matches. They will be

:05:37. > :05:40.making their way to Centre Court in just a moment. Jimmy, you feel it,

:05:41. > :05:48.don't you. Everyone is in their seats and they will give them such a

:05:49. > :05:54.great reception. Chills, right? The expectation is unbelievable. Where

:05:55. > :05:59.is this, Tim? Roger is not coming the usual route? He is coming from

:06:00. > :06:04.the gym. The locker room is just behind to the left, so... The last

:06:05. > :06:09.thing you want to do is be face to face. That's right. It is one of the

:06:10. > :06:11.interesting aspects in tennis. You are in the locker room with your

:06:12. > :06:16.opponent before the match. It is something you get used to. And now

:06:17. > :06:28.they can start making their way out on to Centre Court. It's a long

:06:29. > :06:31.walk, Jimmy. It is now. Back in the day, Sue, we came around the corner

:06:32. > :06:36.and two steps up and we were on the Centre Court. Now, they walk around,

:06:37. > :06:43.they have time to do a little extra thinking. They are going by a lot of

:06:44. > :06:47.interesting pictures. They are starting to get zeroed in on what

:06:48. > :06:51.they are going to try to do from the very beginning, what they are going

:06:52. > :06:54.to do in the warm-up, how they are going to play the first couple of

:06:55. > :06:57.games. Lots going through their minds now and it is a matter of

:06:58. > :07:01.coming out and executing. It is more of a mental game now, getting the

:07:02. > :07:05.focus right to be in the right frame of mind to walk on court? Most

:07:06. > :07:10.definitely. They will be trying to focus on the process. They are not

:07:11. > :07:13.going to be thinking too much about the outcome. Federer will be

:07:14. > :07:17.thinking about hitting the spots on his first serve, looking to dominate

:07:18. > :07:20.with the forehand. Djokovic is going to be thinking how he can try and

:07:21. > :07:25.peg Federer back into the backhand court, keep him behind the baseline

:07:26. > :07:31.to try and nullify those attacking skills. They can't become numb with

:07:32. > :07:36.technical thoughts. They have to go out and react and do what they know

:07:37. > :07:39.how to do best. If you get a bit too technical, you become frozen and

:07:40. > :07:45.your feet don't move, you are out of position and things can happen in a

:07:46. > :07:48.hurry. If you are not prepared on grass, games can slip by very

:07:49. > :07:52.quickly and you can be down a set before you know it. They want to

:07:53. > :07:57.both start out right away, try to get their games in order and get dug

:07:58. > :08:02.into it. These guys are so used to the big occasion. They will have

:08:03. > :08:06.Plan A, but they will have Plan B and C if things aren't going right.

:08:07. > :08:10.Here they come. Get ready for the roar.

:08:11. > :08:51.In keeping with tradition, Tim, the bags being carried by Stuart from

:08:52. > :08:55.the locker room. That's right. It's been a tradition - Jimmy and John

:08:56. > :08:59.were talking about Leo a long time ago. It looked like the bags were

:09:00. > :09:05.sometimes bigger than him. It is a great honour for Stuart. Doug Dixon

:09:06. > :09:08.did it for many years before. It is a small tradition that doesn't go

:09:09. > :09:14.unnoticed. So they sit and wait and we wait for the coin toss. Each

:09:15. > :09:21.year, they have a special guest to do the coin toss. This is

:09:22. > :09:25.12-year-old Nathan Bullimore. He is representing Action For Children

:09:26. > :09:28.Scotland, a charity that supports the most vulnerable children and

:09:29. > :09:34.young people in Scotland. It is a charity that has been nominated by

:09:35. > :09:39.Andy Murray, the now reigning Wimbledon Champion. That is another

:09:40. > :09:45.nice tradition and a big, big day for young Nathan. Roger Federer - it

:09:46. > :09:51.looks like he is out there for a practise game. It is such a big

:09:52. > :09:56.match. He gives off the impression that he's very relaxed. He will be

:09:57. > :10:01.nervous. That is a good sign. It means so much to him. He has given

:10:02. > :10:06.himself the opportunity of another Slam final. I saw Nathan before and

:10:07. > :10:33.it was his first time at Wimbledon. UMPIRE: Heads, tails? Roger calls

:10:34. > :10:36.heads. It's a tail. Serve? OK. The coin toss over and there's the

:10:37. > :10:41.result of the vote. We thought it would be close. 63% of you think

:10:42. > :10:46.that Roger Federer will win, just 37% for Djokovic. That is

:10:47. > :10:51.interesting. They are going with the older man and the experience. I

:10:52. > :10:59.would think it would be a little bit closer than that. I am looking for a

:11:00. > :11:05.hard-fought five-setter. Both these guys will lift their game so it will

:11:06. > :11:09.be a little tweak there in the fifth set that will win it. Time to get

:11:10. > :11:13.down to business. Roger is ready for five sets. I was talking to him

:11:14. > :11:17.earlier in the week and he said last week, he wasn't on top form. Now, he

:11:18. > :11:23.is 100% and he is ready for five sets. Absolutely. When you reflect

:11:24. > :11:26.on his performance last year, because his back had been giving him

:11:27. > :11:30.trouble, he wasn't able to practise the way he wanted to and he didn't

:11:31. > :11:33.play the way we have become accustomed to. This year, and

:11:34. > :11:38.certainly with his preparation in December, he was able to do the hard

:11:39. > :11:41.yards and now he's been playing fantastic tennis. Another aspect is

:11:42. > :11:47.his racket. He's changed racket in the last 12 months. It has a bigger

:11:48. > :11:51.head. He has flattened out his backhand a little bit more. I don't

:11:52. > :11:56.know whether that is the Edberg effect. The time he spent on court

:11:57. > :12:01.for the six matches is about five hours less than Djokovic, so he will

:12:02. > :12:06.have a full tank of energy. He certainly is. We were talking about

:12:07. > :12:10.the effect of Stefan Edberg. Just showing a graph of how many times

:12:11. > :12:13.Roger Federer comes to the net. He did a lot when he first came here at

:12:14. > :12:21.Wimbledon. There we go, back in 2003. Then he wasn't coming in quite

:12:22. > :12:26.so much. Look at the rise from 2011, shooting up here into 2014. I think

:12:27. > :12:31.it is more than just serving and volleying. No, just coming forward.

:12:32. > :12:34.And knowing when to come forward, catching your opponent a little

:12:35. > :12:38.late, not afraid to sneak in. The surprise tactic is going to be

:12:39. > :12:41.something there that you want to watch with Federer against Djokovic

:12:42. > :12:45.and Djokovic will not be afraid to step in and that backhand passing

:12:46. > :12:50.shot down. Roger will have to be ready for everything, as both of

:12:51. > :12:57.them are. He does serve and volley a fair bit? He has done it am some

:12:58. > :13:05.interesting times against Wawrinka in the tie-breaker. It's something

:13:06. > :13:09.to watch out for. If he is serving and volleying twice a game, it keeps

:13:10. > :13:15.Djokovic guessing, it makes him realise he can't just knock the ball

:13:16. > :13:26.back in play. There are so many intriguing aspects, how well Federer

:13:27. > :13:29.can keep serving. It is lovely seeing Stefan Edberg and Boris

:13:30. > :13:32.Becker coming in to take their place. They will be twitchy. They

:13:33. > :13:39.will remember what all this is about. Novak Djokovic, he is so keen

:13:40. > :13:44.to get back. That is why he has brought Boris Becker in to give him

:13:45. > :13:49.that added oomph to get over the finish line in a Grand Slam final?

:13:50. > :13:53.He liked the way Boris talked about playing big points and that will be

:13:54. > :13:58.huge. A lot of the players today, I don't know if they play the score

:13:59. > :14:04.and what it means to be up 30-0 or down 0-30 or how they go about

:14:05. > :14:08.playing that if you hold it back a little bit, or you go for a bigger

:14:09. > :14:12.shot. Boris was always very good at that and knew how to play the score

:14:13. > :14:22.and taking the ability of his game and his attitude to know when to

:14:23. > :14:28.take chances and when to not. So, with Nova - a lot has happened to

:14:29. > :14:32.him. His fitness, he has really worked at that. A couple of years

:14:33. > :14:37.ago, I remember watching him play where he had trouble playing two out

:14:38. > :14:43.of three sets. Now, he is outlasting Nadal on clay and playing five-hour

:14:44. > :14:48.matches. That, to me, training and conditioning in tennis is something

:14:49. > :14:52.that's left out a little bit now. It is more about the game itself and

:14:53. > :14:55.the strings on the racket. The conditioning is vital. If you can't

:14:56. > :14:59.last, you won't be able to get in position to hit your shots. Your

:15:00. > :15:03.game will go down and you are done. You talk about flexibility. No-one

:15:04. > :15:11.is more flexible than Novak Djokovic. Roger Federer, we look at

:15:12. > :15:15.his stats. What a career he's had. 32-years-old, he works harder than

:15:16. > :15:21.he has ever worked? That's right right. He also can look back on his

:15:22. > :15:27.successive Grand Slam events played. This is the 59th. It is incredible

:15:28. > :15:31.that he hasn't had an injury or not a loss of form. To have no injuries

:15:32. > :15:36.to stop that streak is incredible. You look at the way he moves, his

:15:37. > :15:39.technique, I don't think there is anyone who plays the game more

:15:40. > :15:45.effortlessly and that is one of the reasons why I believe he can keep

:15:46. > :15:49.playing for another five years. Over the years, people have written him

:15:50. > :15:53.off. We have all said we wonder whether he should carry on playing

:15:54. > :15:57.and he's proved everybody wrong. The older you get, the more you want to

:15:58. > :16:03.prove them wrong. You want to work that little bit extra and tweak your

:16:04. > :16:12.game a little bit to throw a surprise in so your longevity is

:16:13. > :16:27.what you are judged on, not only your Grand Slam events but longevity

:16:28. > :16:31.also. Roger has been around for 15 years. I don't see that being for

:16:32. > :16:34.him. He has way too much to still. Everything that he brings, you know

:16:35. > :16:38.and on the other side Novak doesn't want him around anymore. I love

:16:39. > :16:43.those mind games, too. I love the whole scenario what today brings. It

:16:44. > :16:50.is the mind games. Novak Djokovic was so dominant a few years ago. All

:16:51. > :16:54.of a sudden, you know it needs one match that could turn it all back in

:16:55. > :16:57.his favour again. There is no doubt. When you go back to having someone

:16:58. > :17:05.like Boris in his corner, he has been there, seen it and won the

:17:06. > :17:09.biggest titles. After losing in those Grand Slam finals, as was the

:17:10. > :17:15.case with Ivan Lendl and Andy Murray have the reassurance of someone

:17:16. > :17:18.there say, "You are doing the right things, keep going." We better make

:17:19. > :17:30.a move. Is in the commentary box. ANDREW CASTLE: Good afternoon to you

:17:31. > :17:34.and a good afternoon to everybody enjoying this Wimbledon final. The

:17:35. > :17:46.Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in attendance, of course. The first

:17:47. > :17:50.Grand Slam final without Nadal or Murray for four-and-a-half years.

:17:51. > :19:29.History beckons for both. Stefan Edberg working with Roger

:19:30. > :19:31.Federer this year, warmed him up this morning and was really tight.

:19:32. > :19:56.Just 20 minutes. TIM HENMAN: I think by the crowd's

:19:57. > :20:26.reaction, it is obvious who the crowd favourite is.

:20:27. > :20:34.It's only their second meeting in the final of a major championship.

:20:35. > :20:42.The first was the 2007 US Open, Federer won that. This is their 35th

:20:43. > :20:49.meeting. It is a great rivalry. JIMMY CONNORS: They should know each

:20:50. > :20:52.other's game by now. Not only on major stages, but in many

:20:53. > :20:54.tournaments around the world. Looking forward to see who comes up

:20:55. > :21:58.with something special. Roger is smart to take this out of

:21:59. > :22:04.the air. He didn't do quite enough with it. A little short in the

:22:05. > :22:22.court. Djokovic with a winning forehand.

:22:23. > :22:37.Calm on the outside, Federer. The heart will be racing. He had to put

:22:38. > :22:59.a few sprinting metres in there. You sometimes think it might take a

:23:00. > :23:00.few games to find your rhythm and timing, but these two have hit the

:23:01. > :23:33.ground running. Not going to keep repeating stats.

:23:34. > :23:36.He's won 88 this championship, Federer. That is the one-two punch

:23:37. > :24:09.again. Novak Djokovic, most people's

:24:10. > :24:13.favourite, in terms of the professionals who deal in these

:24:14. > :24:17.things, the public saying they expect Federer to win - 63% of them

:24:18. > :24:42.in our vote. It tells you something about

:24:43. > :24:47.Djokovic's achievements in the game. Federer has won this seven times.

:24:48. > :24:50.The only final he lost here was probably the best match ever played

:24:51. > :24:55.in 2008. That is how well you have to beat Federer on Centre Court.

:24:56. > :24:57.UMPIRE: Mr Djokovic is challenging the call on the right centre service

:24:58. > :25:08.line. The ball was called out. UMPIRE: Mr Djokovic has two

:25:09. > :26:00.challenges remaining. JIMMY CONNORS: How would you have

:26:01. > :26:05.handled that? Would you use your challenges early up or would you

:26:06. > :26:08.save them? It is a feel thing. You have to make sure you have a few

:26:09. > :26:26.challenges left for the business end of the set.

:26:27. > :26:32.Roger Federer doesn't trail in the record books at Wimbledon on too

:26:33. > :26:40.many counts, but he has not won as many matches as Jimmy Connors here.

:26:41. > :26:45.He's only won 73, Jimmy. You got 84. I played a few years longer than he

:26:46. > :26:49.has! The way he is playing, he should stay around another couple of

:26:50. > :27:02.years and bypass that record. It is a rare thing indeed. Over

:27:03. > :27:05.30-years-of age. That is why he is coming into the net more, Tim?

:27:06. > :27:08.Sometimes, he wants to try and shorten those points. He is the most

:27:09. > :27:13.offensive player in the tournament, probably in the game. There was

:27:14. > :27:21.another man that liked to get to the net pretty often Rod Laver. When he

:27:22. > :27:27.won in '61 he got a ?15 voucher and a firm handshake! The Duke and

:27:28. > :29:14.Duchess is there. The wife of the chairman is there.

:29:15. > :29:32.What a shot! That is no easy task. A good serve and volley. Good lob.

:29:33. > :29:50.Look at the athleticism. That is one tough shot.

:29:51. > :30:00.To finish my point, hitting the ground strokes deep and allowing

:30:01. > :30:06.Novak to be a little late and catching the ball a little higher

:30:07. > :30:53.above the net for a volley. Edberg was great at that.

:30:54. > :31:34.The top-spin bounced up into the hitting zone of Djokovic's forehand.

:31:35. > :31:49.Able to flatten it out and hit an upright winner. -- outright winner.

:31:50. > :31:56.Talking with Novak Djokovic yesterday, the 2011 - 2012, he was

:31:57. > :32:01.unbelievable. Whenever he was in a final, he started as favourite.

:32:02. > :32:05.Finished both of those years number one in the world. He has lost the

:32:06. > :32:12.last three Grand Slam finals that he has been in. It is some pressure on

:32:13. > :32:16.Djokovic's shoulders. I think so. Again, that is where the mental

:32:17. > :32:21.aspect is going to be so important. He will be aware of that. When he

:32:22. > :32:25.gets out on the court, he has got to forget that and continue to play the

:32:26. > :32:28.way he has started because he is striking the ball fantastically

:32:29. > :32:34.well. No unforced errors. Aggressive, looking to dominate. It

:32:35. > :32:39.will be interesting to see who can get the first opportunities. Here is

:32:40. > :32:44.there in the final. Even though he has lost the last three, he has

:32:45. > :32:49.given himself chances to win. He knows his game is good enough to get

:32:50. > :32:54.him there. To get over the hump to win, what does he have to do? With

:32:55. > :32:56.Becker in his corner, that is one of the reasons he has come in, to give

:32:57. > :33:47.him the little extra something. Always changes here. That is the

:33:48. > :34:27.champion's Gate in front of Becker. No longer the undignified clamber.

:34:28. > :34:40.Do not become predictable. I was about to say, he is serving and

:34:41. > :34:44.volleying, it is OK to mix it up, but it is not his comfort zone, I

:34:45. > :35:14.don't think, as of yet. One significant difference. In the

:35:15. > :35:20.semifinals, the court was much dustier. That is one of the reasons

:35:21. > :35:32.why Djokovic and Dimitrov were sliding into so many shots. That

:35:33. > :35:37.semifinal was very windy. Will that hamper Novak's movement more? I

:35:38. > :36:01.don't think he will be able to slide quite as much.

:36:02. > :36:06.The sharp reply of the Federer backhand, moved his feet, took his

:36:07. > :37:23.time, did not rush. No panic. UMPIRE: New balls, please. Novak

:37:24. > :37:29.Djokovic is 9-9 when he gets his first serve in. He is nailing his

:37:30. > :37:34.own service games. The opening stages on Centre Court, the final of

:37:35. > :37:38.the Men's Singles championship 2014. The hill is absolutely covered. I

:37:39. > :37:43.hope it is comfortable. Quite a warm day. Stay nice and warm and do not

:37:44. > :37:49.lean back, whatever day. Stay nice and warm and do not

:37:50. > :37:58.lean you do! I final of intensity building. No break points as yet.

:37:59. > :38:05.Five former champions in the draw, Lleyton Hewitt lost in the second

:38:06. > :38:11.round. Nadal lost in the fourth round to the young Australian

:38:12. > :38:15.player, Nick Kyrgios. Andy Murray lost to Grigor Dimitrov in the

:38:16. > :38:21.quarterfinals who was then beaten by Novak Djokovic. Just two players

:38:22. > :38:24.left. They happen to be two of the five champions that entered the draw

:38:25. > :38:30.in the first place. It is a great stage, Centre Court. We have great

:38:31. > :38:36.acting talent with us! John hurt, Bradley Cooper, Samuel L Jackson, so

:38:37. > :39:03.many others up in the royal box and around.

:39:04. > :39:13.His fastest serve of the tournament, 127mph. That was 120. It

:39:14. > :39:35.is where he is placing it. That is what counts today.

:39:36. > :39:45.That is some backhand reply. Defence. Federer, the shot was a

:39:46. > :39:48.little bit short and bounces into his hitting zone. Steps into it and

:39:49. > :40:00.stays low. That is Henman style tennis. Serve

:40:01. > :41:51.and volley. I wish! APPLAUSE

:41:52. > :41:57.The first glimmer of an opportunity with Djokovic on juice Gets Federer

:41:58. > :43:17.back on level terms. -- on juice. The crowd do not know what to make

:43:18. > :43:34.of tennis of this standard. A little cat and mouse tennis. You

:43:35. > :43:38.do not see slices like that down at your local club. They are used to

:43:39. > :44:08.the power tennis. Tense! I think that was because of

:44:09. > :44:14.Roger Federer moving his feet and trying to get ready for the next

:44:15. > :44:16.chart. Novak took his eye off the ball watching Roger and the ball was

:44:17. > :45:31.long. Glimmer of hope for Federer. That was an absolute illustration of

:45:32. > :45:36.why... We have just seen the illustration of why Djokovic has the

:45:37. > :45:41.record he has. 15-30 down, missed a terrible forehand. He comes back

:45:42. > :45:48.with big serving and does not blink. Credit to him. This was the slice

:45:49. > :45:53.exchange that they had on Djokovic's serve. That point was no

:45:54. > :46:13.laughing matter for both players. A big year for both of these

:46:14. > :46:21.players. Twins, two-month-old, newborns. The Federer twins. Two

:46:22. > :46:30.sets of twins in that family. Three sets. Roger's sister also has

:46:31. > :46:35.twins. Robbie Federer was saying, when they are helping with the

:46:36. > :46:38.twins, they leave the tournament and go away to have a break and their

:46:39. > :46:50.daughter turns up with a pair of twins.

:46:51. > :47:41.Sometimes working hard at your tennis does not look so bad, right?

:47:42. > :47:47.Smart play from Djokovic. He hit the good return and followed it in

:47:48. > :48:20.behind and was able to wrong-foot Federer.

:48:21. > :48:57.That was a deep slice with pace. Djokovic could not handle it.

:48:58. > :49:25.Novak was picking on the Federer backhand. Great movement around the

:49:26. > :49:36.court by Roger. Draws the error from Djokovic.

:49:37. > :49:42.You have got to drive volley like that. It is difficult to play it

:49:43. > :49:47.safely. You have got to commit to the shot and accelerate with the

:49:48. > :50:28.racket head. Federer tried to push it a little bit.

:50:29. > :50:49.Spectacular court coverage by both players. Federer gets a short ball,

:50:50. > :51:09.moves in close, calmly hit the volley into the open court.

:51:10. > :51:15.Djokovic's adopters have got to be screaming at him after that. It was

:51:16. > :51:20.a real test for Federer and he came through it. Can he do this against

:51:21. > :51:25.Djokovic from the back of the court over five sets Western -- over five

:51:26. > :53:46.sets? First lingering look from Djokovic

:53:47. > :54:24.up to his supporters after that error on the forehand side.

:54:25. > :54:52.Down the line! What control! The ball seemed to be too far away from

:54:53. > :54:57.him. I thought James Keothavong was on his game, but the Novak Djokovic

:54:58. > :54:59.serve was on the outside edge of the line. If he goes on to lose serve

:55:00. > :55:43.here it is a big call. Rightly, Djokovic wins the game. To

:55:44. > :55:48.be fair, that is what the Hawk-Eye system is for, just to back up the

:55:49. > :55:53.umpire. James Keothavong is in his 50th Grand Slam. First Wimbledon

:55:54. > :55:57.final. A great honour. Well-deserved. Everyone makes

:55:58. > :56:03.mistakes. It is a very high standard first set. Certainly is. In all

:56:04. > :56:10.aspects of both play as' games, serving has been accurate and fast.

:56:11. > :56:15.Very few unforced errors. Both players striking the ball cleanly

:56:16. > :56:22.and moving well. Who do you think will win, Jimmy? If Federer can hold

:56:23. > :56:27.up to the pressure, Roger has got a great chance to win. I think that

:56:28. > :56:33.will be detailed. Right now, such a high-quality, both players playing

:56:34. > :56:43.well. I am going to go with Djokovic in five. It is going to be

:56:44. > :56:47.interesting who can maintain this level. Is there going to be a little

:56:48. > :56:59.dip in form from one of them towards the end of a set? Miss a few first

:57:00. > :57:23.serves. Serving to stay in the first set again, Roger Federer.

:57:24. > :57:31.Just to follow up on my pick, I have not picked a winner in a long time,

:57:32. > :58:25.don't go with me if you are betting on this match!

:58:26. > :58:30.He did not think that was going over. He gives it a little extra

:58:31. > :59:29.lift with his body! UMPIRE: Game, Federer. 6-6 first

:59:30. > :59:44.set, tie-break. Both players receive one additional challenge.

:59:45. > :00:05.Federer did a good job of making Djokovic play the volley. Djokovic

:00:06. > :00:55.not so comfortable in the forecourt. Pretty clear where Djokovic is

:00:56. > :01:13.centring his attack on Federer's game, peppering the backhand.

:01:14. > :01:21.Eight in a row to the same spot is a few too many. He should have mixed

:01:22. > :01:25.it up a little bit. Roger got in his comfort zone there.

:01:26. > :03:05.Federer changed rackets last summer after his early loss at Wimbledon,

:03:06. > :03:11.not the make of racket, but the size of the head. One of the areas that

:03:12. > :03:13.he wanted to improve was the sliced backhand, the control on the

:03:14. > :03:19.backhand side and it looks in great shape at the moment. Still a long

:03:20. > :03:25.way to go to win this first set. Agent, mum, wife.

:03:26. > :04:07.Their man has a 4-2 lead, three points from the set.

:04:08. > :04:16.Not that time. I liked your point earlier, Tim, when you said if they

:04:17. > :04:19.can keep up this level of play, this is such high quality, it is just the

:04:20. > :04:23.first set. Under the greatest pressure, two

:04:24. > :06:16.backhand errors in a row. That's a great point. Djokovic

:06:17. > :06:33.chasing after that drop shot there, he almost made it, panting hard.

:06:34. > :06:46.That's a fabulous return. Exactly. It looked like an error from

:06:47. > :06:52.Federer, in some ways it was. Roger has been going wide in the deuce

:06:53. > :06:55.court quite often so Novak was hedging that way. Still he had to

:06:56. > :07:58.make it and force the error. Becker and Edberg, they are playing

:07:59. > :08:01.every single point with their men. They know what the pressure is like

:08:02. > :08:05.down on the court playing against each other in a big Wimbledon final.

:08:06. > :08:08.I wonder what the feeling is like sitting in the stands, the same?

:08:09. > :08:46.Worse! That was the right idea, chipping

:08:47. > :09:36.and coming in behind it. Nice idea, poor execution. Yeah.

:09:37. > :09:39.those two serves, right when he needed it. Pressure is back on

:09:40. > :10:21.Djokovic. SUE BARKER: What a roar from the

:10:22. > :10:25.Centre Court crowd. We knew this was going to be special. What a tense

:10:26. > :10:29.and dramatic end to the tie-break. So little between these two great

:10:30. > :10:32.champions but Roger has the edge. It is advantage Federer on Centre

:10:33. > :10:38.Court. This looks to have all the ingredients of a long, hard-fought

:10:39. > :10:40.duel this afternoon. Federer is one set up but still a long way from the

:10:41. > :10:58.title. So, Federer and his fans delighted

:10:59. > :11:01.with that first set tie-break. Tennis is breathtaking, the final is

:11:02. > :11:09.living up to the billing. Sit back and enjoy.

:11:10. > :11:17.ANDREW CASTLE: Novak Djokovic will be so disappointed with that. The

:11:18. > :11:21.next ten or 15 minutes will be interesting.

:11:22. > :11:28.Federer will know that his opponent is going to be winded at this point,

:11:29. > :11:32.whether he can do anything about that remains to be seen. These are

:11:33. > :11:38.the numbers from the first set. Tim Henman, what do you see?

:11:39. > :11:44.TIM HENMAN: What will be difficult to stomach is that is probably the

:11:45. > :11:46.most cleanest and consistent set of tennis he's played in the whole

:11:47. > :12:02.tournament and he's lost it. No break-points for either man. So

:12:03. > :12:07.little to see between them. Set-point goes begging for Novak

:12:08. > :13:38.Djokovic. Federer is a set up. Here comes set number two.

:13:39. > :15:18.JIMMY CONNORS: That is some shot on the run. For a double-hander, to get

:15:19. > :16:01.his body around there and hit it with such pace, that is incredible.

:16:02. > :16:11.To me, Djokovic hit the fantastic return there to get Federer on the

:16:12. > :16:13.defensive and then he never really pulled the trigger on any of the

:16:14. > :16:41.other ground strokes. Down and that was pretty heavy. He's

:16:42. > :16:51.been over a few times. Looks OK. He has his physio, trainer and

:16:52. > :17:46.coach. He tries to push off. Stepping into that, got inside the

:17:47. > :17:48.court. Caught the ball at the top of the bounce and was able to hit the

:17:49. > :18:48.ball flat up the line. A 96th service game of the

:18:49. > :18:56.Championships for Roger Federer and he's only lost one serve. Amazing

:18:57. > :19:00.stuff. Two break-points saved there, tremendous reaction from Djokovic

:19:01. > :19:07.losing the first set, took a heavy tumble, got up and hit another clean

:19:08. > :19:11.winner. Djokovic had a couple of set-points to win the first set and

:19:12. > :19:17.a couple of break-points to go a break up in the second. Federer was

:19:18. > :19:18.equal to the task. After the fall, Djokovic is going to see what

:19:19. > :21:03.happens here. A big game for him. Novak Djokovic has called for the

:21:04. > :21:08.trainer there. The chair umpire will call through. There is a direct line

:21:09. > :21:36.into the training room in the Centre Court locker room. A dedicated line.

:21:37. > :21:45.It appears that the American physio is on the court. So a medical

:21:46. > :22:06.timeout at the next change of ends. Djokovic is exerting this classic

:22:07. > :22:11.pressure that he brings. He picked up the pace on those returns. Wasn't

:22:12. > :22:12.satisfied with getting the ball in play, he did something special with

:22:13. > :22:35.it. There doesn't seem to be anything

:22:36. > :22:37.wrong with his left knee, but that will be what is treated in the next

:22:38. > :22:53.minute. While the physio is on, he might

:22:54. > :22:55.want to have a look at that poor lineslady who has been hit twice in

:22:56. > :23:19.the last four points. Many aspects testing Djokovic's

:23:20. > :23:23.resolve - the loss of the first set, the loss of the break-point

:23:24. > :24:22.opportunities, sore knee. That double fault was a result of

:24:23. > :24:31.the pressure Djokovic is putting on. He caught this one late. You don't

:24:32. > :24:33.want to hit ball kids! You got disqualified, didn't you, your first

:24:34. > :24:54.Wimbledon? What a pass! First break of the

:24:55. > :24:57.match. And the physio comes on court to treat somebody that has just hit

:24:58. > :25:07.the cleanest backhand pass of all time to break serve. Just a

:25:08. > :25:12.precautionary thing. They are under a bit of pressure, they have to come

:25:13. > :25:18.out and make a diagnosis with the cameras of the world upon them and

:25:19. > :25:25.after that, they will have a medical timeout of three minutes if the

:25:26. > :25:30.player and the physio so choose. Left ankle. He pushed off with the

:25:31. > :25:33.left, didn't he, Left ankle. He pushed off with the

:25:34. > :25:39.left, didn't and it went. It was bang, straight down, so a bruising?

:25:40. > :25:46.These courts may be called grass courts, but they are like concrete

:25:47. > :25:50.at the back of the court. The earth is incredibly hard. When you fall on

:25:51. > :25:54.it, if you land on a bony part of the body, it will be pretty painful.

:25:55. > :26:01.It is not the grass that you find in your back garden. No. It looked like

:26:02. > :26:12.he was messing with his ankle a little bit. Ankle or knee? Ankle.

:26:13. > :26:20.Mum and daughter keeping an eye on Roger on the court! It is quite an

:26:21. > :26:25.event this Wimbledon final. This Centre Court is the most amazing

:26:26. > :26:30.atmosphere, to hear it building over the course of the morning. It's got

:26:31. > :26:38.the loudest silence of any sporting venue. Really wonderful.

:26:39. > :26:54.Credit where credit is due, Djokovic will feel disappointed to have lost

:26:55. > :26:56.the first set, but he's got the first break of the match. He will be

:26:57. > :27:28.keen to hold on to his serve now. And with that, the court dries out

:27:29. > :27:29.and it becomes more slippery on the top surface, so it could be a

:27:30. > :27:44.factor. We are down almost on court level

:27:45. > :27:48.and it is fun to see the shape of the ball with all the top-spin as it

:27:49. > :27:50.is coming over the net and it flattens out.

:27:51. > :29:40.Send supplies, we could be here a while!

:29:41. > :29:50.From 30-love to deuce. Just broke serve, it would be devastating for

:29:51. > :31:39.him to lose this game now. You would think that turning this

:31:40. > :31:48.into an attritional contest would play to Djokovic's hands, given

:31:49. > :32:06.fitness, the way they play, H. -- age.

:32:07. > :32:13.I think Roger would like to have that one back again, instead of the

:32:14. > :32:51.drop volley hit it with a little more pace.

:32:52. > :33:21.Long game, tough game, trying to back up the break of serve achieved.

:33:22. > :33:35.Djokovic may be struggling to get through this service game but he is

:33:36. > :33:42.controlling it. He has just -- it has got a Djokovic feel about it,

:33:43. > :33:58.this last ten minutes or so. Hasn't he done well.

:33:59. > :34:19.And a hold is his. 24 minutes for four games, it is quite a lot.

:34:20. > :34:24.Federer made him work for that game. I think that sent a message to Novak

:34:25. > :34:35.that you had better take your advantage when you can get it.

:34:36. > :34:42.The game has changed a bit, hasn't it? The athleticism of these two

:34:43. > :35:22.players. The ball boy would have had to be

:35:23. > :36:13.quick. Maintaining his composure. Ouch! Could have been a temple shot.

:36:14. > :36:22.Tim Henman, tell me about the time you were disqualified from

:36:23. > :36:29.Wimbledon. Magnificent! Thank you for bringing that up. What happened?

:36:30. > :36:34.Just a glancing blow, that was an accident too? Yes, I was playing

:36:35. > :36:41.with my partner, Jeremy Bates, and he was trying to celebrate the 20th

:36:42. > :36:48.anniversary of it! We were in a four set tie-break, very close to winning

:36:49. > :36:56.the match, and I sort of ball away in a little bit of frustration, but

:36:57. > :37:01.not anger. You were livid! No, but unfortunately for me the ball girl

:37:02. > :37:06.was the other side of the net, and she unfortunately popped her head up

:37:07. > :37:14.and I hit her on the ear. Then ten minutes later Alan Mills was on the

:37:15. > :37:25.court and I got a red card. That is a bad attitude, Tim! You can talk!

:37:26. > :37:27.That is one thing I have got an John McEnroe, he never got disqualified

:37:28. > :38:13.from the court. Looks like Fabregas, do you know who

:38:14. > :39:59.that is, Jimmy? Just signed for Chelsea.

:40:00. > :42:02.it was a comfortable going for Djokovic. -- comfortable game.

:42:03. > :42:10.It it fascinating to watch Roger Federer just keep time at bay, he

:42:11. > :42:20.has four children now, 32 years of age. He has played so many finals.

:42:21. > :42:24.Against Rafael Nadal in 2008, that is the only time he has ever lost in

:42:25. > :42:31.the final. The rallies you would think would go to Djokovic, those

:42:32. > :42:37.statistics have evened up a little bit, but areas like this, how much

:42:38. > :42:42.are you aware of things like this? I don't know if they will be totally

:42:43. > :42:46.aware of that but it was an interesting statistic that Federer

:42:47. > :42:50.was winning seven out of ten of those shots and in the second set,

:42:51. > :42:57.that is where Djokovic has started to have a bit more of an impact.

:42:58. > :43:05.Glamorous occasion here, and no need for the roof. What do you make of

:43:06. > :43:12.the final at Wimbledon, Jimmy? There is nothing like it. You pass out

:43:13. > :43:16.onto the court, the walk out is tremendous, but the crowd, what they

:43:17. > :43:21.expect, the history behind what they have seen here and the great players

:43:22. > :43:24.on that court, they expect a high level and what we are seeing now is

:43:25. > :44:00.tennis at its best. It just seems to come off his

:44:01. > :44:02.forehand just a little bit, instead of staying with it, hitting through

:44:03. > :44:32.the ball. That was not criticism, it was an

:44:33. > :44:39.explanation. You don't get to where he is by making too many mistakes.

:44:40. > :44:56.Some former players up there in the competitors' area.

:44:57. > :45:03.You see Djokovic slipping in the same area where he had the fall.

:45:04. > :45:20.That is where it gets dusty as the match goes on.

:45:21. > :45:32.It is these long rallies again, over time, over five sets... It is not

:45:33. > :45:38.going to suit Federer, surely. But what can he do about it? Try to keep

:45:39. > :45:57.it short, you get picked off the net.

:45:58. > :46:05.To answer your question, what he has to do about it is what he did in the

:46:06. > :46:09.first set, he wasn't afraid to chip and come behind it and maybe catch

:46:10. > :47:38.You can see Roger Federer's wife up here, she has had twins just two

:47:39. > :47:51.months ago. She must have a big entourage. Let's not forget the nine

:47:52. > :47:59.staff and two cooks! We have got the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge here.

:48:00. > :48:07.Baby George at home somewhere, presumably not alone. But they are

:48:08. > :48:18.big tennis fans. They come on a regular basis. Pretty good, and the

:48:19. > :48:25.Duchess is an honorary member here. Academy Awards nominees up there. It

:48:26. > :48:30.is a good job we haven't caught him doing something he shouldn't! Was he

:48:31. > :48:36.your toughest opponent, Jimmy? In one way he was, he was serve and

:48:37. > :48:41.volley, Bjorn Borg was a different kind of opponent who never let me

:48:42. > :48:47.know what he was thinking so that made it kind of tough on me. OK, big

:48:48. > :49:44.moments in the final Wimbledon, 2014.

:49:45. > :49:56.You can hear by Federer 's reaction, he is keen to try to get back on

:49:57. > :50:44.level terms. Federer would love a look at a

:50:45. > :51:20.second serve here. Once again, I think the Federer

:51:21. > :51:45.movement made Novak take his eye off the ball.

:51:46. > :51:55.Federer's first break point of the match and Djokovic's ball stopped

:51:56. > :52:31.with Federer, he just couldn't get a clean strike.

:52:32. > :52:39.That is a brilliant response to losing the first set. Magnificent,

:52:40. > :52:46.from break point down Djokovic holds. He might leave the court for

:52:47. > :52:49.a break here, but he will be so pleased with that. One hour and 34

:52:50. > :53:08.minutes played, great composure. SUE BARKER: Djokovic will be

:53:09. > :53:14.pleased, the Centre Court crowd will be pleased, building up this match,

:53:15. > :53:20.two great champions head-to-head and it is back on even terms. One loose

:53:21. > :53:24.game is all it takes at this level, and Djokovic has pounced on that

:53:25. > :53:31.opportunity. So Novak Djokovic level and coach Becker will be delighted.

:53:32. > :53:41.The tactics working in the second set, and Roger and Novak had much to

:53:42. > :53:50.ponder. Who will get this title? The champion of 2014, with Roger looking

:53:51. > :54:08.for an eighth title. Novak Djokovic each playing for the

:54:09. > :54:19.Wimbledon title, but also playing for the world number one ranking.

:54:20. > :54:25.Grigor Dimitrov will rise to number nine in the world after the

:54:26. > :54:31.semifinal, and what a contribution he has made to this grass court

:54:32. > :54:36.season. Andy Murray will have his lowest ranking for a few years at

:54:37. > :54:41.number ten. He really couldn't play his best against Grigor Dimitrov.

:54:42. > :54:50.Well done to the women's doubles, they complete a career Grand Slam.

:54:51. > :54:55.It was the Canadian American team who won the Men's Doubles, a

:54:56. > :55:02.tremendous match if you were watching. And well done to Petra

:55:03. > :55:12.Kvitova, a second Wimbledon championship for her, defeating

:55:13. > :55:17.Eugenie Bouchard, who is probably feeling awful today. It must be

:55:18. > :55:21.tough to take a hammering in these situations but this is certainly not

:55:22. > :55:30.one-sided. What do we think from here? Roger Federer is looking to be

:55:31. > :55:39.number one again, and that is what he is doing out here, playing in

:55:40. > :55:43.this great stadium. Djokovic to win that set, tremendous effort. I

:55:44. > :55:47.thought he was a little bit down at the beginning, comes right back in

:55:48. > :55:58.the second set and takes charge and control. We have gone from a

:55:59. > :56:01.marathon to nearly a sprint, so no let down from either player. They

:56:02. > :56:10.will have to continue this high level of play and whoever gets on

:56:11. > :56:14.top will feel the comfort of it. Jack Nicklaus, a regular visitor to

:56:15. > :58:44.the club. Major champion. Almost a lull in proceedings here as

:58:45. > :58:50.we settle into the third set. Play is supposed to be continuous after

:58:51. > :58:57.the first game. What a crucial set this is. And a couple of comfort

:58:58. > :59:04.breaks. Both boys left the court. Back in action here.

:59:05. > :59:11.I wonder if the crowd here knows exactly what they are seeing, you

:59:12. > :00:21.know what the level of play that both players are able to produce.

:00:22. > :01:23.That approach by Federer was tremendous. He's moving forward and

:01:24. > :01:29.now look at this, he takes it and flicks the ball cross-court. The

:01:30. > :01:35.angle on that was incredible. When you dip that shoulder, you think he

:01:36. > :01:37.is going to hit the top-spin lob. Federer was a little bit back from

:01:38. > :02:21.the net. Both players are capable of keeping

:02:22. > :02:22.the ball at such good length. Every shot landing three feet from the

:02:23. > :02:49.baseline in that rally. Is that Hugh Jackman? He loves it.

:02:50. > :03:13.Looks a little different according to the role. Certainly does.

:03:14. > :03:23.Did you have any idea who was watching you, Jimmy? Do these people

:03:24. > :03:31.know what they are watching, you posed. Did you know what was going

:03:32. > :03:37.on? I did. I looked around a little bit. Once the ball was in play, of

:03:38. > :03:42.course, I looked around and... You played any golf with Samuel? I

:03:43. > :03:49.haven't. I hear he is darn good. I played with him in Scotland a couple

:03:50. > :03:58.of years ago. He is a good golfer and he's seriously cool. That is the

:03:59. > :04:05.great Roy Emerson behind Samuel L Jackson. Let's do some celeb

:04:06. > :04:15.spotting. We better mention Phil Brook. Chairman front row and

:04:16. > :04:30.centre. It is not an invitation you turn down lightly, is it? It is one

:04:31. > :04:34.of the great sports events. First set to Roger Federer on a tie-break,

:04:35. > :04:41.Djokovic with the early break and backing it up in the second set.

:04:42. > :05:02.Djokovic serving 1-2 in the third set.

:05:03. > :05:17.Clever change of tactic from Federer. Played the short slice,

:05:18. > :05:19.brought Djokovic in and did very well to control the half-volley on

:05:20. > :06:55.to the outside edge of the line. All the talk was about Federer's

:06:56. > :07:01.serve coming into this match. It's Djokovic that's done a fantastic job

:07:02. > :07:06.so far, serving at 65% first serves in, winning 80% behind the first

:07:07. > :07:41.serve and 60% behind the second serve.

:07:42. > :07:57.Such a smart play. He saw Djokovic a little bit late, got in behind it,

:07:58. > :08:39.easy volley into the open court. Just to back up what Tim Henman has

:08:40. > :08:42.been talking about - anything over 60% is pretty good - 65% and 68% for

:08:43. > :08:57.the two players. This wasn't the case in the first

:08:58. > :09:03.set. It was certainly Federer that was on top in those departments and,

:09:04. > :09:07.as we have seen the match turn around slightly, Djokovic getting

:09:08. > :09:13.the second set, it really is nip and tuck here for this third set, which

:09:14. > :09:20.could prove crucial. New boots for Novak Djokovic. They do tend to wear

:09:21. > :09:24.out the pimples on the soles of these grass court shoes made

:09:25. > :09:27.especially for this season. Just behind the baselines, it is almost

:09:28. > :09:39.like a hard-court. They have played an hour and 51

:09:40. > :09:46.minutes. Any fatigue in the legs? Not yet, I don't think so. Both in

:09:47. > :09:52.phenomenal shape. Federer having only dropped one set coming into the

:09:53. > :09:57.final, he looks fresh. Djokovic played a six-hour final in the

:09:58. > :10:31.Australian Open so, he's probably just warming up still(!)

:10:32. > :10:36.Federer doing such a good job of soaking up the pressure from

:10:37. > :11:04.Djokovic and he is always looking to get forward.

:11:05. > :11:09.UMPIRE: Correction. Replay the point.

:11:10. > :11:17.Now, the big question here is, did the call in any way shape or form

:11:18. > :11:21.affect what Novak Djokovic did there? The answer of course is no

:11:22. > :11:28.because it was a half-volley. The ball was on the baseline. So

:11:29. > :11:32.shouldn't this be Federer's point? By precedent, you replay the point

:11:33. > :11:35.because the call was before the contact from Djokovic. Federer will

:11:36. > :11:53.have to put that out of his mind. That's going to make him feel a

:11:54. > :11:57.little upset. A big point, 0-15 serving 2-3 for Djokovic and the way

:11:58. > :11:59.Djokovic played the shot, it was like he was encouraging the out

:12:00. > :12:07.call. Still shaking his head just a little

:12:08. > :13:10.bit. How many times on a big point do we

:13:11. > :13:14.see Djokovic pounding the corners with that first serve? Tremendous

:13:15. > :13:38.matchplay. Roger is shaking his head again. He

:13:39. > :13:45.knew how big a point that was. He had a chance to go up 0-30. A

:13:46. > :13:56.questionable call. Not going to say anymore about that.

:13:57. > :15:29.I think this is a shot you try when you are 0-40 down.

:15:30. > :15:36.It's always nice to see new people emerge like Eugenie Bouchard into a

:15:37. > :15:42.Grand Slam final. You never know how they are going to react. We knew how

:15:43. > :15:47.these two would react. They knew what to expect and they are

:15:48. > :15:54.producing. After yesterday's match, the Women's Final went very quickly,

:15:55. > :15:59.55 minutes, Kvitova played such good tennis that it was incredible. To

:16:00. > :16:03.come out and to see two champions playing, sometimes you can be

:16:04. > :16:07.disappointed. It happens in the game of tennis. When you are the kind of

:16:08. > :16:15.champions that these two players are, they raised their game to a

:16:16. > :16:19.level to fit the occasion. And certainly the final of Wimbledon is

:16:20. > :16:23.THE occasion. Nothing left in the locker. Sir Clive knows all about

:16:24. > :16:26.that, getting the best out of yourself. How do you see it from

:16:27. > :16:31.here? This set will be crucial. I picked Federer before the match. I'm

:16:32. > :16:35.going to stick with it. The level of play, is goiting to be a great shot,

:16:36. > :16:40.an unforced error that will make the difference here? I think the

:16:41. > :18:27.defining moments of this match could be in the next 15 or 20 minutes.

:18:28. > :18:32.When the ball goes into the crowd at the US Open, it doesn't necessarily

:18:33. > :18:48.get thrown back. UMPIRE: Mr Djokovic is challenging

:18:49. > :18:51.the call on the right far side line. The ball was called in.

:18:52. > :18:59.There haven't been too many challenges today.

:19:00. > :19:47.UMPIRE: 15-0. Mr Djokovic has two challenges remaining.

:19:48. > :20:09.We are into the heart of this match. It is not just a Wimbledon final, it

:20:10. > :20:15.is an occasion. Over the years, it has become tradition to sit up on

:20:16. > :20:24.the hill and watch on the big-screen to enjoy the final. We are on

:20:25. > :20:29.Centre, Court 1 will have a roof in 2019 and there's Henman Hill, huge

:20:30. > :20:33.redevelopment plans at the All England Club. The whole idea is to

:20:34. > :20:36.keep it as the premier tournament in the world and I don't think there is

:20:37. > :20:42.any problem with that. It has the most prize money. It's got just

:20:43. > :20:46.under 500,000 people who come through the gates each year.

:20:47. > :21:01.There is not a lot of space out there. We can hear you in here!

:21:02. > :21:07.Novak Djokovic and Marin Cilic, who played on Court 1, could hear the

:21:08. > :21:15.Centre Court match going on. They wanted the match called off for a

:21:16. > :21:16.while because it was so noisy. Marion Bartoli knows what it is like

:21:17. > :21:25.to win. Djokovic serving to stay in the

:21:26. > :21:56.third set. Nice idea from Federer, trying to

:21:57. > :21:59.put the pressure on with Djokovic serving to stay in this set. But not

:22:00. > :22:37.quite enough on the approach shot. That's unbelievable! How fast did

:22:38. > :22:41.that happen, Jimmy? It was a great approach shot and a great volley by

:22:42. > :22:45.Federer and he whipped that cross-court. The movement around the

:22:46. > :23:02.court by both players - unbelievable stuff!

:23:03. > :23:09.This is why people don't volley these days. When you come in, this

:23:10. > :23:13.is what you face. It is incredible. You have to tip your hat and say too

:23:14. > :23:15.good. He came in on a great approach shot. Djokovic was able to find the

:23:16. > :23:31.angle. You have to do it, Tim, you have to

:23:32. > :23:33.come in a little bit to mix up the action so the rhythm of the match is

:23:34. > :24:09.able to spread out a little bit. It didn't pay off there for Federer.

:24:10. > :24:15.It will be putting a bit of doubt into Djokovic's mind if they get

:24:16. > :24:18.through to a tie-break and he has to hit second serves. He will be

:24:19. > :24:49.conscious Federer is trying to take the net away from him.

:24:50. > :25:39.Casual! That shot is quite tricky, believe it or not.

:25:40. > :25:45.He is looking back to somebody who may have shouted in the crowd.

:25:46. > :25:48.UMPIRE: Ladies and gentlemen, as a courtesy to both players, please

:25:49. > :26:15.remain quiet during the rally. Thank you.

:26:16. > :26:40.UMPIRE: Mr Djokovic is challenging the call, the left centre service

:26:41. > :26:50.line. The ball was called in. It might be just wide.

:26:51. > :27:22.UMPIRE: Second service. The military personnel have to get off the court.

:27:23. > :27:34.That is hard hitting from both players. Contrast the returns -

:27:35. > :27:36.Federer's chip and come in and Djokovic is tries to hit the ball

:27:37. > :27:49.hard and firm. The quiet Serbian counterattack from

:27:50. > :28:30.game point down. Djokovic is cross! It stopped up. He

:28:31. > :29:09.dragged the ball to his left and wide. Break-point saved.

:29:10. > :29:15.sensing this. What a return of serve to set up his baseline attack. It is

:29:16. > :30:15.the second break point. He has his eyes on the prize here.

:30:16. > :30:43.Federer's 19 ace, they are certainly adding up. And his 20th to save two

:30:44. > :30:47.break points! You know, there is not many times Roger Federer has walked

:30:48. > :30:53.out onto this court is a clear underdog. He was for this match, and

:30:54. > :31:03.to have watched him over the last three or four years trying to adapt

:31:04. > :31:09.and find a way to keep Nadal back, it illustrates the quality of the

:31:10. > :31:12.match. It is amazing to see 90 winners and we are not even through

:31:13. > :31:22.the third set but there have also been only 20 unforced errors from

:31:23. > :31:30.both players. Most people at 32 with four kids, and X tens of millions in

:31:31. > :31:36.the bank would have said thanks. But how many get to do this, play tennis

:31:37. > :31:42.for a living on the Centre Court at Wimbledon, that is what you dream

:31:43. > :31:48.of. That is why you never gave up. The idea is that you will never do

:31:49. > :31:53.anything like this ever again, no matter what you get into, business

:31:54. > :32:00.or whatever. This is the ultimate, and to be able to still do it at 32,

:32:01. > :32:02.35, whatever, you will do it until you cannot do it any longer and then

:32:03. > :32:23.it is time to go. Federer just forgetting that it was

:32:24. > :35:26.a change of balls, getting out of fresh -- a fresh racket.

:35:27. > :35:33.UMPIRE: Six games all, tie-break. Both players received one additional

:35:34. > :35:57.challenge. A tournament quick 127 mph for

:35:58. > :37:15.Federer, he couldn't have placed it any better.

:37:16. > :37:24.He is the best in the business on the backhand side. And I think Roger

:37:25. > :37:28.hesitated a little bit on whether he should go in behind that serve.

:37:29. > :38:01.Didn't quite catch the volley high enough.

:38:02. > :38:14.Boris Becker was brought into the camp in order to help his man play

:38:15. > :38:21.the big points better. Djokovic has suffered in Grand Slam finals,

:38:22. > :38:25.losing the matches he has earned the right to play and these are the

:38:26. > :39:14.points. Pretty close. It did catch the back

:39:15. > :39:16.edge. What now? That is the second time it has happened to him. Now

:39:17. > :39:37.hold on. I accepted quickly. That is a brave

:39:38. > :39:44.call and a good call from the umpire because the call came a long time

:39:45. > :39:56.after the Djokovic forehand. Good hitting from Federer.

:39:57. > :40:01.Just anxious on the forehand. A little loose. He had it in his

:40:02. > :41:34.sights. That is brilliant work from Novak

:41:35. > :41:40.Djokovic. He gave nothing in that tie-breaker and he has his reward.

:41:41. > :41:53.Two sets to one in the Men's Singles final two Djokovic. -- to Djokovic.

:41:54. > :42:00.SUE BARKER: Djokovic in control right from the start and now he has

:42:01. > :42:04.his sights on the title. He was the champion here in 2011, he wants to

:42:05. > :42:10.be the champion again. He has lost the last three Grand Slam finals he

:42:11. > :42:16.has been in, that is why he has brought in Boris Becker to turn it

:42:17. > :42:22.around. It is certainly advantage Djokovic out on Centre Court at the

:42:23. > :42:27.moment but never, ever count out Roger Federer. He is one of the

:42:28. > :42:36.great competitors. Now just one set away from the title.

:42:37. > :42:39.COMMENTATOR: You No, you get statistics and numbers and bits of

:42:40. > :42:45.paper flying back and forward, and of course in the final at Wimbledon

:42:46. > :42:53.it doesn't come down to any of that. The number of consecutive Grand Slam

:42:54. > :43:07.final defeats at four, you have got Lendl, Djokovic and Murray. I think

:43:08. > :43:12.these statistics put in perspective how well Novak Djokovic played, and

:43:13. > :43:19.only two unforced errors is pretty impressive. And just a little bit of

:43:20. > :43:25.anxiety from Roger Federer? He tries to hit a forehand winner down the

:43:26. > :43:29.line and he misses it. I think the bigger point was Federer serving

:43:30. > :43:35.3-4, he had beforehand and he dragged it wide, that is his bread

:43:36. > :43:41.and butter. These matches can be decided by such fine margins. That

:43:42. > :43:46.is the pressure of the moment. Djokovic did well, it wasn't going

:43:47. > :43:57.to give any ground. He is willing to keep the ball in play and let

:43:58. > :44:00.Federer either hit the winner or take the ball out of play. Djokovic

:44:01. > :44:42.has two avoid the let down. Two and a half hours in this sort of

:44:43. > :44:45.atmosphere, plus the build-up beforehand, it takes its toll

:44:46. > :45:09.mentally, concentration. No need for the roof today on Centre

:45:10. > :45:11.Court, which was brought in in 2009. We might get a couple of spots

:45:12. > :46:11.later on. Roger has got to keep his feet

:46:12. > :46:13.moving here, he has covered a lot of Court in two and a half hours and he

:46:14. > :46:55.cannot get lazy on his footwork. Djokovic this time found a piece of

:46:56. > :47:01.green on this grass court and slept with both feet. Didn't land from too

:47:02. > :47:14.high up but he was going up speed, chasing this one. -- going at

:47:15. > :48:03.speed. He plays well when he is slightly injured!

:48:04. > :48:13.Used to seeing those kind of marks on a clay court.

:48:14. > :49:55.A bit less controlled that one, wasn't it?

:49:56. > :50:10.This is a bit strange from Roger Federer, pretty casual. Taking it

:50:11. > :50:15.just between the legs, hitting the ball. Down in concentration or is he

:50:16. > :50:23.tired? I cannot say he is tired. He has certainly been put through the

:50:24. > :50:27.ringer, both players have, maybe a little in his concentration but he

:50:28. > :50:33.doesn't have the luxury of having one of those. He needs two sets now

:50:34. > :50:39.to win this match. Djokovic on the other hand needs to win one of the

:50:40. > :50:44.next two, but he doesn't want to take the chance of getting into a

:50:45. > :50:49.fifth set with Federer. This Djokovic has given Federer so little

:50:50. > :50:54.to get his teeth into and he will be looking to maintain the momentum,

:50:55. > :51:06.serving first in the fourth set. He is up to -1, he will be looking to

:51:07. > :51:11.try to seize another break of serve. A biggie no matter what happens, for

:51:12. > :51:27.her certainly! The US Open in a few weeks on the

:51:28. > :51:48.hard courts will conclude the Grand Slam year.

:51:49. > :51:57.It is definitely a down moment. Yes, a little loose on a few shots. Not

:51:58. > :51:59.used to seeing him double faults, he has served so well through the

:52:00. > :52:46.tournament and in the finals. That is loose again. I think he

:52:47. > :52:53.might be getting a little tired, his movement has certainly dropped a

:52:54. > :52:54.level. Novak, on the other hand, is right on top of every shot. This

:52:55. > :56:12.would be a good game to win. It is the break, and Djokovic is

:56:13. > :56:23.ahead in the fourth set. 3-1. He is like fast running water acting on a

:56:24. > :56:28.rock, he wears you down. It is unbelievable. I wonder if Federer

:56:29. > :57:33.has got anything left. We will find out right now.

:57:34. > :57:44.UMPIRE: Mr Djokovic is challenging the call. The ball was called out.

:57:45. > :57:56.Judging by his reaction, he was pretty confident this ball was --

:57:57. > :58:40.call was wrong. You cannot bluff Hawk-eye.

:58:41. > :59:19.By the sounds of this, a few people in here fancy a fifth set!

:59:20. > :59:52.Nothing is against Djokovic in this standing ovation. You get to know

:59:53. > :59:54.somebody over the years and you get to love somebody on this court and

:59:55. > :59:59.they have loved watching Roger Federer. He was out - when he lost

:00:00. > :00:04.his serve, he looked like he needed to call a timeout. That is the mark

:00:05. > :00:09.of a champion to come back and break serve. What was impressive about

:00:10. > :00:14.that game - Djokovic did not give him anything. Federer earned every

:00:15. > :00:18.shot and he came up with the goods when it was necessary and he

:00:19. > :00:28.deserves to be back in this. We have ourselves a fourth set here. The

:00:29. > :00:31.nature of playing Djokovic and Nadal, the top two the last few

:00:32. > :00:37.years. The ball boy has gone over - he's

:00:38. > :01:58.alright. JIMMY CONNORS: He knew it right

:01:59. > :02:50.away. He should have taken it. Where does he serve on this huge

:02:51. > :03:21.point? Federer indicating he was slightly

:03:22. > :03:25.put off. UMPIRE: Ladies and gentlemen, once

:03:26. > :03:27.again, as a courtesy to both players, please stay as quiet as you

:03:28. > :03:31.can during the rally. JIMMY CONNORS: He needs a first

:03:32. > :04:10.serve here for sure. ANDREW CASTLE: Three breaks.

:04:11. > :04:14.Djokovic back in front at 4-2. How resilient is he?

:04:15. > :04:22.TIM HENMAN: You have one break of serve in three-and-a-half sets and

:04:23. > :04:24.you have three in a row! Djokovic will be keen to take his time here

:04:25. > :05:20.and play a strong service game. There is only so much you can take.

:05:21. > :05:28.This was off a Federer return. Even that is quality. Looks like a shovel

:05:29. > :06:26.but he went back deep with it! Kept his eye on the ball.

:06:27. > :06:49.That was a predatory approach. When Federer is behind, he is going to be

:06:50. > :08:46.more aggressive. He will go for everything.

:08:47. > :09:23.He is not calling for quiet now, is he? Game point.

:09:24. > :09:37.Tough stuff from Djokovic. He is a game away.

:09:38. > :09:45.Was that 30-30 point OK for you, Jimmy Connors? That is why we are

:09:46. > :09:49.here. It was impressive that Djokovic, he kept the ball in play,

:09:50. > :09:55.satisfied with keeping the ball deep until he saw his chance to move

:09:56. > :09:59.forward. Then got in there with the ball l well above the net so he

:10:00. > :10:03.could hit the volley with some stick. Even then, Federer had the

:10:04. > :10:07.forehand. That was the point of the game. It was. The courage and

:10:08. > :10:11.conviction of Djokovic, he knows he has the opportunity here. He can't

:10:12. > :10:16.keep the ball in play because Federer will be so aggressive. That,

:10:17. > :10:25.for me, was such a big game to establish the break of serve, to get

:10:26. > :10:31.the 5-2 lead. The crowd are going to rise to both players. Notably for

:10:32. > :10:35.Federer in a few seconds' time. They know that this great champion - and

:10:36. > :10:39.they both are - is on the verge here. He's thrown everything. Roger

:10:40. > :10:46.has to take care of business here. He sure does.

:10:47. > :12:48.This game feels like a prelude to the next. Djokovic could be serving

:12:49. > :13:06.for the Championship. There we are. Nobody knows how hard

:13:07. > :13:14.it is to win the last game of a Grand Slam Championship. Look what

:13:15. > :13:18.Novak Djokovic made Andy Murray go through last year for 11 and

:13:19. > :13:25.three-quarter minutes. He will be taking nothing for granted. One

:13:26. > :13:44.final push from Federer, or is it all over?

:13:45. > :15:58.Gutsy second serve from Djokovic, 108mph - one of his fastest of the

:15:59. > :16:22.match. It forced the error from Federer.

:16:23. > :16:37.Roger Federer was not sticking around in the baseline too long for

:16:38. > :16:45.that one. He took the climbing ball on the backhand. He raced in.

:16:46. > :17:03.UMPIRE: Mr Djokovic is challenging the call on the left far side line.

:17:04. > :17:13.The ball was called out. When you challenge between your own

:17:14. > :17:15.first and second serve, you do disrupt your rhythm if he is wrong -

:17:16. > :17:35.and he is wrong. Djokovic is on the floor. And

:17:36. > :18:04.Federer has broken. Djokovic is on the floor. And

:18:05. > :18:24.Federer has broken. To me, at the beginning of that

:18:25. > :18:30.game, it looked like Djokovic was playing not to lose. Roger was

:18:31. > :18:35.looking to take any aggressive action he could to take the play

:18:36. > :18:40.right to him. He got behind 0-30 and Roger played a great game. That last

:18:41. > :18:43.running forehand was not easy. He knew that Djokovic was down in the

:18:44. > :19:00.corner but he couldn't push the ball, he had to commit to the shot.

:19:01. > :19:30.Three hours of play in this Men's Singles Final at Wimbledon.

:19:31. > :20:23.It is always the challenge and Djokovic might be thinking about

:20:24. > :21:23.that forehand at 5-3. A big second serve there from

:21:24. > :21:26.Federer. It's brave when you make it and stupid when you miss it.

:21:27. > :22:20.Djokovic, two points from victory. UMPIRE: Mr Federer is challenging

:22:21. > :22:34.the call on the service line. The ball was called out.

:22:35. > :23:34.JIMMY CONNORS: That was a big return off a big first serve there.

:23:35. > :24:03.Three straight games - Federer is back in the match. The crowd want a

:24:04. > :24:23.fifth set! Djokovic needs to hold serve here.

:24:24. > :24:59.He must be rocked. At 5-5 in the fourth set, it pays

:25:00. > :25:02.off. Earlier failures with that same play have not deterred the

:25:03. > :25:32.seven-time champion. Previous failings haven't deterred

:25:33. > :25:36.Federer. You wonder whether Djokovic, having served for the

:25:37. > :25:38.Championship and having lost in his last three Grand Slam finals, will

:25:39. > :27:46.those doubts creep in? It's long. It's four games in a row.

:27:47. > :27:52.There is no script here on Centre Court.

:27:53. > :27:56.We have no idea how long the performance is going to last,

:27:57. > :28:05.either. since 2009. I think we might have

:28:06. > :28:42.won here. All Federer has got to do since 2009. I think we might have

:28:43. > :28:45.is hold serve. It is so difficult to predict what will happen but the

:28:46. > :28:52.fortitude Federer has shown to keep the belief, keep the levels high...

:28:53. > :28:56.This is what they want, Jimmy. He put the pressure on Djokovic when it

:28:57. > :29:01.counted. Sometimes you only get one chance, and to not take advantage of

:29:02. > :29:36.it, that is playing on his mind right now.

:29:37. > :29:44.Certainly in these crucial games, the first point can sometimes prove

:29:45. > :29:46.so important. We saw that went Djokovic served for the match at

:29:47. > :30:27.5-3. Federer maintaining the theme the

:30:28. > :31:00.point at the net. Djokovic was about six feet behind the baseline.

:31:01. > :31:12.There was a little bit of strain on the forehand. A wry smile from Novak

:31:13. > :31:23.Djokovic, as Federer has to points to take this into a fourth set. --

:31:24. > :31:35.two points. It is out! It is five games in a row, Federer has

:31:36. > :31:45.recovered from match point and will go the distance.

:31:46. > :32:09.I didn't see that coming. Extraordinary. Digging deep. 17 time

:32:10. > :32:15.Grand Slam champion, finding a way to come back into this match, and

:32:16. > :32:26.aided and abetted by the 15,000 people on Centre Court. He just did

:32:27. > :32:31.not know when to quit. Championship point down, and whilst we focus on

:32:32. > :32:43.Federer and the glory that awaits him if he can win his eighth

:32:44. > :32:48.championship... How do you think Djokovic is feeling at this point?

:32:49. > :32:55.He has taken disappointment after disappointment. The crowd need a

:32:56. > :33:01.breather. We don't have any players on Centre Court. Tim, put your

:33:02. > :33:07.shorts on, off you go. How do you think Djokovic feels at this point,

:33:08. > :33:11.and how do you recover from the body blow he has taken? Certainly this

:33:12. > :33:17.will need massive strength of character. To leave the court for a

:33:18. > :33:21.comfort break is no bad thing, to regain his thoughts and composure.

:33:22. > :33:26.He needs to get off to a strong start in the fifth set because the

:33:27. > :33:31.momentum has been ripped away from him. Two universally admired

:33:32. > :33:36.sportsmen, these, not just by tennis players but in the world of sport

:33:37. > :33:40.and theatre and cinema and television. They know what they are

:33:41. > :33:49.looking at because this stage... No one knows what is going to happen on

:33:50. > :33:55.it. The stage is set. We said it was a best-of-3 match, now it is one set

:33:56. > :34:03.to decide it all. A quick look over from Roger Federer, where he will

:34:04. > :34:16.see his name engraved seven times. The famous walk onto Centre Court.

:34:17. > :34:31.And if the engraver was standing by to put a name... He would have been

:34:32. > :34:35.ahead of himself, right? He would have been. Interesting to see how

:34:36. > :34:49.Djokovic comes out in this fifth set, after serving for the match, a

:34:50. > :35:01.match point on Federer's serve... The ball was called out, Hawk-eye

:35:02. > :35:10.once again proving its worth. Look at Nick Kyrgios, and overrule kept

:35:11. > :35:19.him in the match and he went on to beat Rafael Nadal. Chris Hemsworth

:35:20. > :35:24.is in the Royal box and having a good time as well, looking a bit

:35:25. > :35:33.more dishevelled than he was five minutes ago. That was an amazing

:35:34. > :37:32.set. What is in store for us in the fifth? Nobody knows.

:37:33. > :37:45.The first game in six four Djokovic, finally something goes his way. That

:37:46. > :37:56.is a settler for him in this decider. -- the first game in six

:37:57. > :39:37.four Djokovic. It is great to see on Henman Hill,

:39:38. > :39:47.wonderful, the weather has been good and we have a fifth set will --

:39:48. > :40:35.fifth set. It seems to me like Djokovic is

:40:36. > :40:41.moving a little slowly, a little gingerly. Is it his knee? Or is he

:40:42. > :40:58.working his way into the set? Maybe. Everything starts hurting a little

:40:59. > :41:56.bit when you have a championship point.

:41:57. > :42:14.I think he is calling for the trainer, is he? Nobody has ever

:42:15. > :42:17.played more in the Grand Slam championships than these two but

:42:18. > :42:31.they have only ever played one final, which seems surprising to me.

:42:32. > :42:36.The 2007 US Open. But I have played two classic matches, and Djokovic

:42:37. > :42:41.won them both, does that have relevance now? You can look back and

:42:42. > :42:49.see what happened in statistics, we talked about that before, but to me

:42:50. > :42:55.it looks like Federer is the fresher of the two. He has a bounce in his

:42:56. > :43:05.step and he feels like he is lucky to still be in this. The right calf

:43:06. > :43:11.he is having a look at there. I think for the trainer to come back

:43:12. > :43:19.onto the court, Djokovic would have to have another injury. Not looking

:43:20. > :43:27.at the right ankle. UMPIRE: Ladies and gentlemen, Mr Djokovic is

:43:28. > :43:33.receiving a medical time-out. He has a pain in the head! He has a pain in

:43:34. > :43:40.something else on the other side of the net that won't go away! He has

:43:41. > :43:45.his physio and trainer with him, but your own physios and trainers cannot

:43:46. > :43:49.come out onto the court at this time, but they always liaise with

:43:50. > :43:53.the official tournament physios. There is a north, south and Centre

:43:54. > :44:02.Court dressing room with different teams in each one. This is a very

:44:03. > :44:08.senior staff member. And he travels on the tour, with the players week

:44:09. > :44:15.in, week out, so he knows what areas they have niggles in. But would you

:44:16. > :44:19.hate to see this in a match that has gone the way this one has, you hate

:44:20. > :44:30.to see an injury have an impact on the outcome. Remember that Novak has

:44:31. > :44:36.just finished that game off with an ace, so whatever it is, it doesn't

:44:37. > :44:41.appear to be terminal on his efforts. Last year it was such a

:44:42. > :44:45.different story with Andy Murray winning in straight sets against

:44:46. > :44:50.Djokovic who no doubt was feeling the effects of four and three

:44:51. > :44:58.quarters hours against Juan Martin Del Potro in the semifinal. He knows

:44:59. > :45:05.about attrition. He would expect to be able to go five hours, generally

:45:06. > :45:11.speaking. Definitely, and there is something to remember about Andy

:45:12. > :45:15.Murray's winning last year, it was incredibly hot on Centre Court.

:45:16. > :45:20.Today it is almost the perfect conditions, it is warm but it is not

:45:21. > :45:24.going to sap your energy from that point of view. Three and a half

:45:25. > :45:30.hours is pretty long but they have certainly played a lot longer. The

:45:31. > :45:32.pressure saps you a little bit, mentally and physically, so

:45:33. > :45:37.everything that both players have been through, they have covered a

:45:38. > :45:46.lot of court but the ups and downs of this match have been interesting.

:45:47. > :45:54.Jimmy, Tim and I had never heard a noise on the court like when Tim won

:45:55. > :46:07.Olympic gold. I wish I won Olympic gold! Oh yes, it was Andy! He was

:46:08. > :46:08.against 15,000 people as well as Andy. It kind of seems that way

:46:09. > :47:18.now. Very different body language from

:47:19. > :47:51.both players. UMPIRE: New balls, please.

:47:52. > :47:57.Roger Federer just changing racket for the first game returning with

:47:58. > :48:09.the new tennis balls. The players favour that.

:48:10. > :48:50.Nice, quick game for Federer to make it two all.

:48:51. > :48:55.Total points won, parity at 163 but the last five have gone to Roger

:48:56. > :49:26.Federer. And that was a chance for Federer at

:49:27. > :49:27.0-15, Djokovic didn't have the best approach and he couldn't make him

:49:28. > :49:28.hit
