:01:06. > :01:16.Federer's first set. First break of the match.

:01:17. > :01:23.That is a brilliant response to losing the first set.

:01:24. > :01:34.That is brilliant work from Novak Djokovic. Two sets to one.

:01:35. > :01:46.It is the break and Djokovic is ahead in the fourth set. And Federer

:01:47. > :01:52.has broken back. It's long, it is a break, it is four

:01:53. > :01:58.games in a row. It's out. It's five games in a row.

:01:59. > :02:11.Federer has saved the match point and are going to distance. It's

:02:12. > :02:18.away. Championship point. It's Djokovic who claims this

:02:19. > :02:21.classic. That was the story of the match, it

:02:22. > :02:27.was a final that promised so much and it did not disappoint. Five

:02:28. > :02:29.thrilling set, Djokovic having a championship point in the fourth

:02:30. > :02:33.set, having to go the distance because of feasted brilliance, he

:02:34. > :02:39.has to dig deep. His body was letting him down but he found way to

:02:40. > :02:44.win, and this victory is so sweet for Djokovic who has lost five of

:02:45. > :02:49.his last six Grand Slam final, including the last three and very,

:02:50. > :02:55.very emotional on court. Victory really did taste good. Delight in

:02:56. > :03:02.the camp, the Djokovic camp. His second Wimbledon title to the won he

:03:03. > :03:07.one in 2011. -- to the one he won in 2011.

:03:08. > :03:15.Emotional scenes as he went to greet his team. Climbing up, but it is not

:03:16. > :03:23.Pat Cashesque, they have a gate to go through so they don't have too

:03:24. > :03:28.many risks getting to their team. The physio, all of his friends and

:03:29. > :03:33.family in the box, and they know how much this meant to Novak Djokovic.

:03:34. > :03:39.He has been so close in the Grand Slams. He had such an outstanding

:03:40. > :03:42.year in 2011, and a big hug for coach Boris Becker, who has

:03:43. > :03:47.encouraged him to come forward, but with the success there is

:03:48. > :03:52.disappointment, and for Roger, who gave his all, it wasn't to be

:03:53. > :03:56.history, it wasn't to be an eighth Wimbledon title for Roger, but it

:03:57. > :04:00.was a match that we will all remember. So Novak comes back on

:04:01. > :04:04.court, he collects his trophy, this is what he has to say to me

:04:05. > :04:13.afterwards. This is a very emotional time, isn't

:04:14. > :04:17.it? Yes. Yes. First of all, I want to congratulate Roger for a great

:04:18. > :04:25.tournament and great fight today. It was a great match to be part of.

:04:26. > :04:32.He is a magnificent champion and a great example of a great athlete and

:04:33. > :04:37.role model for many kids, so I respect your career, and everything

:04:38. > :04:49.you have done, and thank you for letting me win today.

:04:50. > :04:53.LAUGHTER. APPLAUSE

:04:54. > :04:57.You were 5-2 up, championship point, how did you turn it round? Well, I

:04:58. > :05:01.was hoping that Roger was goes to miss the first serve, but that

:05:02. > :05:06.didn't happen, and it rarely happens, and you know, that is why

:05:07. > :05:10.he, he has 17 Grand Slams, and he has been the most successful player

:05:11. > :05:15.ever, because in important moments he comes up with his best shots and

:05:16. > :05:21.top game, and of course, after dropping a fourth set, it wasn't

:05:22. > :05:24.easy to regroup, and entirely compose myself and find the

:05:25. > :05:29.necessary energy to win the fifth. I don't know how I managed to do it,

:05:30. > :05:33.and this is the tournament that I always dreamed of winning, this is

:05:34. > :05:41.the best tournament in the world, the most valuable one. This is the

:05:42. > :05:46.first tennis match that... APPLAUSE

:05:47. > :05:50.Really. The first tennis match that I seen over in my life when I was

:05:51. > :05:55.five-year-old was Wimbledon, and that stuck to my mind, to be able to

:05:56. > :05:58.compete in such a high level, I am so grateful for this opportunity,

:05:59. > :06:03.and to be able to hold this trophy, I dedicate it to a few people

:06:04. > :06:15.please, if you have time. First of all, I would like to dedicate it to

:06:16. > :06:23.my future wife, and our future baby. APPLAUSE

:06:24. > :06:32.I am going to become a father soon, so I am still preparing for that,

:06:33. > :06:35.and it's a great joy in life, and I would like to dedicate to it my

:06:36. > :06:41.family, my parent, my brothers, and all the family, and my team, of

:06:42. > :06:45.course, for sacrificing a lot of their free time, lives, in order for

:06:46. > :06:49.me to live the dream and be where I am at this moment. And then, last

:06:50. > :06:53.but not least I would like to dedicate this title to my first

:06:54. > :06:57.coach, that taught me all the basics of tennis shots and behaviour and

:06:58. > :07:02.everything I know about tennis, Jelena Gencic, she passed away last

:07:03. > :07:10.year and this is for her. Ladies and gentlemen, the Wimbledon

:07:11. > :07:13.champion, Novak Djokovic. Well a very emotional Novak

:07:14. > :07:19.Djokovic, taking a taste of the Centre Court, as a memento, and

:07:20. > :07:22.talking so passionately about his first coach, Jelena Gencic, who made

:07:23. > :07:25.him fall in love with the game, and gave him the belief to become a

:07:26. > :07:30.Wimbledon champion, and he has done it for the second time, and these

:07:31. > :07:33.were the scenes on the balcony on the members' balcony, showing all

:07:34. > :07:36.the fans that have been on the hill and round Wimbledon, who didn't have

:07:37. > :07:40.a play on -- place on Centre Court. They wanted to be here to see the

:07:41. > :07:43.Wimbledon champion crowned. This is one of the lovely traditions here at

:07:44. > :07:49.the tournament, so everyone can get a picture of the Wimbledon champion.

:07:50. > :07:52.And it will be lovely memory for Novak Djokovic, as well. Jimmy and

:07:53. > :07:56.Tim are still with me. He was talking about his future wife and

:07:57. > :08:02.expecting the baby. It is just as well she wasn't here, that final

:08:03. > :08:06.would have been a worry. A bit early. It was emotional and talking

:08:07. > :08:10.about his first coach. Everyone has a first coach that, you know, made

:08:11. > :08:17.them the player they become. Well, you get round the game, and you hit

:08:18. > :08:20.a few balls and you learn a bit, but to have somebody there is there to

:08:21. > :08:25.bring you out of your shell and to get you to be part of what you would

:08:26. > :08:29.eventually like to do, that is pretty special and for him to

:08:30. > :08:33.remember her, and to give her the credit, the credit starts from the

:08:34. > :08:37.beginning, he is right, and she deserves that, but he is the one

:08:38. > :08:42.that has to come out and do all of that, and, and along the way, with

:08:43. > :08:47.her guidance, he has turned into now a two time Wimbledon champion, that

:08:48. > :08:51.is pretty cool. Are used to hit with you when you were ten, but I don't

:08:52. > :08:57.think you are going to say much to me! Wonderful performance from Novak

:08:58. > :09:00.Djokovic, such guts to lose a Championship point, 5-2 up. It

:09:01. > :09:05.looked like he was cruising through the set and he had to dig deep and

:09:06. > :09:09.the body was was breaking down. The key word he used was regroup and at

:09:10. > :09:12.the end of the fourth set, you felt that Federer had the momentum and

:09:13. > :09:15.those early service games for Djokovic, in the fifth, were so

:09:16. > :09:19.important, because he had to stem the tide. He has to keep his nose in

:09:20. > :09:22.front. That is where he still had the belief, the courage and the

:09:23. > :09:25.conviction to keep being aggressive, because he knew if he was going to

:09:26. > :09:30.keep the ball in the court, Federer was going to go for more and more,

:09:31. > :09:34.so those early stages in the fifth were massive for Djokovic, and you

:09:35. > :09:38.know, then when we got his opportunity in the fifth he couldn't

:09:39. > :09:43.afford to let go again, there will be a massive sense of leaf, I am

:09:44. > :09:47.sure, that he finally got over the finish line, but huge satisfaction

:09:48. > :09:51.given his history in the last six Grand Slam final, losing five of

:09:52. > :09:56.them, losing his last three, it is an incredible achieve: That could

:09:57. > :10:00.have been very easy for Djokovic to fade away there. You know, to say

:10:01. > :10:04.oh, everything is against me now, and I was there, I was just right at

:10:05. > :10:08.the finish line and then, you know, now I just can't take any more,

:10:09. > :10:13.because Roger certainly did raise game at that time. He has nothing to

:10:14. > :10:18.lose and he just sunk everything in to winning that fourth set, and you

:10:19. > :10:24.know, like Tim said, the way he came out, and started, that, you know,

:10:25. > :10:31.there was some very tedious moment there's that could have, that really

:10:32. > :10:36.put that fifth set away from him, and it was pretty good. Age is just

:10:37. > :10:40.a number and Roger is 32. He proved best of five sets he was still

:10:41. > :10:44.giving his all at the end. He said I will be back next year and you know

:10:45. > :10:50.he will be. He will compete for the title again. Most definitely. I

:10:51. > :10:54.still feel this is his best surface on the hard surface and clay,

:10:55. > :10:58.against the best player, that is a bigger challenge, but because he is

:10:59. > :11:03.so offensive and he still serves so well, on grass, I really do think he

:11:04. > :11:07.can have an impact for many more years and you look at previous

:11:08. > :11:12.champions, and you know, aggressive made US open final when he was 35.

:11:13. > :11:15.And there is no reason why Roger, as long as he stays fit and healthy he

:11:16. > :11:20.has the passion, there is no reason he can't play for a few more year,

:11:21. > :11:24.and you know, I think with should encourage him, and enjoy him while

:11:25. > :11:31.he is here, because he is one of our greatest champions. Lay off the age!

:11:32. > :11:36.But it is such, athletes are very quick to say it is time for you to

:11:37. > :11:41.retire, but I mean, I walk round the ground here, there is a lot of

:11:42. > :11:46.managers and photographer, and a lot of sports reporter, that have been

:11:47. > :11:54.here way before I even started, so nobody says anything to them! So,

:11:55. > :11:55.you have to lay off a guy with age, he loves the game and shows the

:11:56. > :11:59.passion, so stay out there as long as you can. As you did. As long as

:12:00. > :12:02.you can play to a certain level, and believe me, Roger is not going to

:12:03. > :12:07.stay round if he doesn't think he can compete. He is not satisfied, he

:12:08. > :12:11.is at number three, he is not satisfied with that. He wants to be

:12:12. > :12:20.number one, if he can't, he will know when he go. You know he will

:12:21. > :12:25.deliver. Djokovic back to number one, how many more? The era is

:12:26. > :12:30.changing, we have seen Raonic and Dimitrov, Andy Murray will hopefully

:12:31. > :12:32.find his form. That is the beauty of the equation, when we were

:12:33. > :12:35.commentating on theches match, it is very difficult to get a feel for

:12:36. > :12:41.what is going to happen next. When you reflect on the men's game, we

:12:42. > :12:44.have had this dominant for four for so long, a couple of monthsing a, if

:12:45. > :12:50.you asked me that question about who is the next big star, there were a

:12:51. > :12:52.few question mark, can Dimitrov breakthrough, is it Raonic,

:12:53. > :12:58.Nishikori, and they have stepped up to the plate. You have a young guy

:12:59. > :13:01.like Kyrgios, who is only 19, comes on to the Centre Court for the first

:13:02. > :13:06.time, you know, those are the stars of the future, and I think, it is a

:13:07. > :13:09.great combination, we have got the established guys who have been round

:13:10. > :13:12.for a long time, but you have the guys that are trying to knock them

:13:13. > :13:18.out of the way and claim the biggest titles. Before I say thank you for

:13:19. > :13:24.joining, it has been nice to be back, you enjoyed it? Great to be

:13:25. > :13:28.back and great to be part of such an unbelievable final, which Wimbledon

:13:29. > :13:32.certainly deserves. It was a privilege to watch it. Thank you

:13:33. > :13:35.both. We still have one more final to go on Centre Court, buzz these

:13:36. > :13:39.are the people, and that I have been queueing all day and standing, they

:13:40. > :13:42.are waiting because they know the champion will come out on to the

:13:43. > :13:47.members lawn and the players lawn, with the trovy, he is going to take

:13:48. > :13:51.it to a few little venues round the All England Club, so they will get

:13:52. > :13:56.another photo toe of the champion and a great memory of the day that

:13:57. > :14:03.produced a classic final. The men's champion has been crowned but it is

:14:04. > :14:09.time for the mixed doubles final, and this is Max Mirnyi and Chan

:14:10. > :14:18.Hao-ching. They are up against Nenad Zimonjic and Sam Stosur. Let us join

:14:19. > :14:23.our commentators. It looked as if it was it was going

:14:24. > :14:30.to be an even match on paper and that is the way it is turning out.

:14:31. > :14:34.And a good one too. Chan Hao-ching, just 22, much the youngest. Won at

:14:35. > :14:41.Eastbourne with her sister just three weeks' ago.

:14:42. > :14:43.Up against multiple Grand Slam winners and her partner a Grand Slam

:14:44. > :15:00.winner as well. Yes with the trophy laden players

:15:01. > :15:04.round her, you might think that Chan, who is so inexperienced at

:15:05. > :15:22.this level, might look the odd one out. I haven't seen it so far. Has

:15:23. > :15:27.settled really well here. Stosur used to be the world's best

:15:28. > :15:33.doubles player. Doesn't may quite so much now.

:15:34. > :15:38.-- play. Transferred to singles round four, five years ago, and was

:15:39. > :15:43.pretty much an immediate success, winning in 2011.

:15:44. > :15:51.The US Open, beating Serena in that amazing final.

:15:52. > :15:58.Chan, who has broken three times in the semifinal, they had a good win

:15:59. > :16:02.against the number five seeds, the reigning champions, she served out

:16:03. > :16:12.there and she has served so far pretty well in this match.

:16:13. > :16:19.Helped out by her partner Max Mirnyi who is 37 years of aim today, so

:16:20. > :16:51.wonder if he will be getting a trophy as a present?

:16:52. > :17:04.It is her third time at Wimbledon this year. She hadn't won a match

:17:05. > :17:22.until she started the mix this year. -- mixed this year.

:17:23. > :17:36.So is Mirnyi going to change his position? Yes, he is.

:17:37. > :17:48.It wasn't the worst return. He did very well. Stretching out those long

:17:49. > :17:53.arms. Mirnyi very much the father figure

:17:54. > :17:58.in this relationship, and he has been through his career, he won the

:17:59. > :18:04.US Open with Serena Williams, back in 1998, trying to work out how old

:18:05. > :18:12.Serena would have been, that is 16 years ago, so 16. 16, 17. Then won

:18:13. > :18:18.with Azarenka when she was a teenager, so he does a very good job

:18:19. > :18:21.of schooling: The fact that Chan has settled so well, probably got a

:18:22. > :18:26.difficult environment to come on to with all the energy being sucked out

:18:27. > :18:32.of this Centre Court after such a dramatic men's final, so difficult

:18:33. > :18:36.to come on and, in this environment, but he has literally walked her

:18:37. > :18:39.through every point and has done very well protecting her service

:18:40. > :18:47.game, which I think is the vulnerable part of their team.

:18:48. > :18:49.No break so far, no break points. Been pretty comfortable for the

:18:50. > :19:26.server. Stosur was outstanding in the

:19:27. > :19:28.semifinal. Gaia Servadioed that well, consistently through the

:19:29. > :19:45.match. -- served that well.

:19:46. > :19:52.Stosur and Zimonjic have been more creative in their service game,

:19:53. > :20:13.pretty standard formation, but it hasn't been any less effective than

:20:14. > :20:18.their opponents today. Again Mirnyi at the net.

:20:19. > :20:23.He is going to take everything he can, and try and keep the heat off

:20:24. > :20:27.Chan, and she just has a simple role, make a decent return, and he

:20:28. > :20:38.has got that air, that he will take care of the rest.

:20:39. > :20:51.That is how good she was, virtually through the match yesterday.

:20:52. > :20:57.So eight games whistling by. Just 19 minutes. It looked a good idea that

:20:58. > :21:01.lob return. Until she hit that forehand. I am amazed there is

:21:02. > :21:12.anything left of this court for them to play on. They are doing well.

:21:13. > :21:19.Slightly mishit by Chan, but it did the job.

:21:20. > :21:24.Well, you always go at the woman in mixed as often as possible, and Chan

:21:25. > :21:45.need to put her hard hat on here, because they will be going for her.

:21:46. > :22:22.Stosur just a little frustrated she couldn't make more of that.

:22:23. > :22:29.A good partnership. A clinical put away from the Australian. They have

:22:30. > :22:36.struggle odd get it down at the service feet. You can see what

:22:37. > :22:38.happens you have to hit up. It is usually a fairly straightforward.

:22:39. > :22:41.Stosur is the strongest woman out here and that could be a major

:22:42. > :23:01.factor in this final. Not quite at the end. They certainly

:23:02. > :23:06.peppered it: This is where Mirnyi and Chan are going to have to get

:23:07. > :23:11.creative. That ball isn't going anywhere. Chan, not because she is a

:23:12. > :23:14.good player, but because she is the woman. That is what you do. And that

:23:15. > :23:41.is -- and they have got creative. Oh, Zimonjic peppering both of them.

:23:42. > :23:44.Now then, the first break point of the match. And unlikely as it may

:23:45. > :24:33.seem, it is on the Mirnyi serve. A wonderful set up. Terrific stuff.

:24:34. > :24:39.Zimonjic and Stosur did play in one other tournament, that was back in

:24:40. > :24:43.2010 at Wimbledon. They were beaten in the third round and haven't

:24:44. > :24:47.played together since. They have played with other partners, with

:24:48. > :24:53.varying success. It seems random mixed doubles how a partnership is

:24:54. > :24:57.picked. It is. Some of the players that play each other don't speak to

:24:58. > :25:01.each other, they might just do it on social media or might happen to be

:25:02. > :25:07.standing outside the referee's office, and just bump into, you

:25:08. > :25:11.know, someone and think let's play. It is utterly random. Back in his

:25:12. > :25:15.day, think, there was a long queue, wasn't there for his services on the

:25:16. > :25:32.mixed doubles court. So it is extraordinary that Mirnyi,

:25:33. > :25:35.the biggest serve of them all serve has had his service broken, and

:25:36. > :25:40.there is a chance with Zimonjic serving for the first set.

:25:41. > :26:04.-- the biggest server of them all. Super switch up there from Zimonjic.

:26:05. > :26:09.It might seem change that Mirnyi was the one that was broken but you need

:26:10. > :26:13.so much help from your partner at the net, just to catch the eye of

:26:14. > :26:21.the returner to take the ball off you from time to time.

:26:22. > :26:26.I think we are just seeing Stosur being the stronger woman out there,

:26:27. > :26:56.having an input. She can take more off Zimonjic.

:26:57. > :27:03.Again the finesse from Zimonjic, a big finish from Stosur. So here are

:27:04. > :27:29.three set points for the number 15 seeds.

:27:30. > :27:37.No problem, first set took 26 minutes, six games to four.

:27:38. > :27:42.SUE BARKER: With the four great doubles players on court I am sure

:27:43. > :27:46.this match will go on, great quality on centre, but there was amazing

:27:47. > :27:51.quality earlier on with the men's final. I promised to be something

:27:52. > :27:54.special and it was more than that. Roger Federer against Novak

:27:55. > :27:59.Djokovic. It went the distance, five thrilling sets and victory for Novak

:28:00. > :28:08.Djokovic, delight by his camp and coach Boris Becker, disappointing

:28:09. > :28:19.for Roger Federer, who failed to lift his eighth Wimbledon final.

:28:20. > :28:25.Lock at Djokovic's face. His second Wimbledon Championship. Now back we

:28:26. > :28:32.go to centre. In the end, the one break point did

:28:33. > :28:41.the job for Zimonjic and Stosur, taking their chance. Just checking

:28:42. > :28:46.the time but obviously here to support Stosur. Not that she needs

:28:47. > :28:49.much support at the moment. Yes, it could be a late champions

:28:50. > :28:55.ball in London. -- Champions' Ball in London. So it

:28:56. > :29:21.is the birthday boy, Max Mirnyi to serve.

:29:22. > :29:35.Super rally. Great pick up from Zimonjic.

:29:36. > :29:55.On the volley, but really clever shot from Mirnyi. Dangerous serving

:29:56. > :30:14.to the Stosur forehand. Staying back. He is six foot five,

:30:15. > :30:16.his younger brother, Peter, is six foot seven. Plays basketball, not

:30:17. > :30:46.surprisingly. far as serving is concerned, but the

:30:47. > :30:57.man will start. Every time, every time. There is not a lot in the men,

:30:58. > :31:02.Zimonjic and Mirnyi. Both with terrific records, two of the finest

:31:03. > :31:06.doubles players. Stoves are, as well, has been right up there. --

:31:07. > :31:23.Stosur. You wonder when Zimonjic will hang

:31:24. > :31:31.up his racket, he is coming up to 40 now.

:31:32. > :31:39.$7 million banked. Not for awhile if he keeps playing like this. Surely

:31:40. > :31:45.the role of the baddie in the Bond movie is waiting for him. He does

:31:46. > :31:48.look sinister, it all changes when he smiles, but he does have a

:31:49. > :31:51.sinister look about him. The same with Mirnyi. You might be onto

:31:52. > :32:29.something here. Stosur with a helping hand at the

:32:30. > :32:35.net. It is slowly starting to fill up now. Centre Court, a couple of

:32:36. > :33:00.thousand, maybe a few more. Look at that from Stosur.

:33:01. > :33:09.Getting more and more dominant at the net, Stosur. I wonder, singles

:33:10. > :33:12.has been so prominent over the last few years, originally a doubles

:33:13. > :33:17.player, if she might become full circle and if doubles might start to

:33:18. > :33:21.take more of her attention and time over the next two years. -- few

:33:22. > :33:34.years. Stosur without a coach at the

:33:35. > :33:38.moment. She plays the last quarter of last season without a coach. To

:33:39. > :33:47.be honest, played some of the best tennis we have seen from her in a

:33:48. > :33:54.few years. Played with equality and freedom. -- quality.

:33:55. > :33:59.Here they come again, Zimonjic and Stosur. Now the pressure really is

:34:00. > :34:24.on Chan. Well done. He was looking forward

:34:25. > :34:31.down the line and had to change direction very rapidly.

:34:32. > :34:46.It was not the cleanest of hits, but he will take it.

:34:47. > :34:56.Yes, that was too good. Must have been tempting to cross. Zimonjic was

:34:57. > :35:01.waiting for him to do so. This was a good fake from Mirnyi, held his

:35:02. > :36:03.ground. Third break point. They reacted well to the net call.

:36:04. > :36:10.As ever, as she did yesterday, Chan under pressure, comes up with the

:36:11. > :36:15.goods. Chan and Mirnyi need to work so hard, the Monica and Stosur

:36:16. > :36:30.making three quarters of their returns. -- Zimonjic and Stosur.

:36:31. > :36:36.Oh, foot fault. First of the match. It gives a fourth break point to the

:36:37. > :37:05.Australian and the Serbian. Mirnyi covering again. He is like a

:37:06. > :37:08.giant octopus at the net. I love the way that he times these

:37:09. > :37:11.interceptions so well, we very rarely see him go to early. So

:37:12. > :37:44.decisive when he gets involved. No offence and no harm done, a super

:37:45. > :37:53.rally from all four players involved in that. Just have a look at this

:37:54. > :38:00.from Zimonjic, you deliberately hit down at the feet. You do not always

:38:01. > :38:09.see that, very sporting of him. Fifth break point.

:38:10. > :38:23.Really ripped back to return. The danger is if Stosur got onto the

:38:24. > :38:33.forehand that might happen. This is fascinating, what you

:38:34. > :38:37.mentioned about Stosur coming full circle. That could be the case. Her

:38:38. > :38:42.singles ranking is beginning to drop. Is it going to drop

:38:43. > :38:47.consistently? I am not sure, but there is a chance it might. Whisper

:38:48. > :38:57.it quietly, 30 years of age. She was a fantastic doubles player, her and

:38:58. > :39:01.Lisa Raymond cleared up. There was a while when they were virtually

:39:02. > :39:07.unbeatable. It is very rare for a top doubles player, she was ranked

:39:08. > :39:12.30 or 40 in singles. She had quite a serious illness and it forced her to

:39:13. > :39:19.re-evaluate her career. She had that awful lines disease. Came back and

:39:20. > :39:27.focused on the singles, it is rare for somebody to be a top doubles

:39:28. > :39:33.Pope player to become a top single player. She won the US Open. It

:39:34. > :39:39.could so easily have been two, the Roland Garros final. She played so

:39:40. > :39:50.well. And then did not really show up.

:39:51. > :39:55.UMPIRE: Ladies and gentlemen, a reminder, please do not use

:39:56. > :40:36.flashlight photography. Stosur got lucky, a chronic mishit,

:40:37. > :40:43.she could not have placed it much better, right in the opposite

:40:44. > :41:05.corner. She does shank a few, but it is a good day when they drop in.

:41:06. > :41:18.Zimonjic went early. Chan alert to that. Mirnyi almost trying to

:41:19. > :41:20.protect Chan, there is no sense of that from Zimonjic. He has an equal

:41:21. > :41:36.partner out there in Stosur. From 40-0 to 4030. She will be a top

:41:37. > :41:41.doubles player in a few years, Chan. -- 40-30. Coached by her father, who

:41:42. > :41:57.is watching. A couple of mistakes from Zimonjic

:41:58. > :42:07.and this could get interesting. There is her father. How proud he

:42:08. > :42:15.must be. His daughter playing in the final here at Wimbledon.

:42:16. > :42:24.No, Zimonjic did not quite do enough. Stosur should have made

:42:25. > :42:32.that. All of a sudden it is break point. Just looking down the court

:42:33. > :42:36.at Stosur. Heron her partner in long discussions, signed of a serious

:42:37. > :42:43.planning meeting for the first time. -- her and her partner.

:42:44. > :43:27.It has not been his best game, Zimonjic, but wasn't he amazing

:43:28. > :43:30.there? To get that back. When you get towards your 40s your reactions

:43:31. > :43:39.are supposed to go a little, nobody has told Nenad that. Fabulous. I

:43:40. > :43:58.think he has made amends in this game.

:43:59. > :44:30.Chan blasting it back on the backhand of Stosur.

:44:31. > :44:46.Yes. It was a tricky one, testing him, it must've been an inch over

:44:47. > :44:47.the of the net. Stosur needing a first serve here, they have slightly

:44:48. > :45:01.dropped off in this game. She comes up with the goods there

:45:02. > :45:13.and they extend the lead, three games in a row. That was a really

:45:14. > :45:16.important game for Stosur and Zimonjic, they were in great

:45:17. > :45:32.momentum and were just in danger of losing it.

:45:33. > :45:50.And Prior Zimonjic and Stosur challenging the call. -- UMPIRE:

:45:51. > :45:52.Zimonjic and Stosur. And in. Two challenges remaining four Zimonjic

:45:53. > :46:42.and Stosur. A rifle shot, that return from

:46:43. > :47:12.Zimonjic. A clever serve will stop -- a clever

:47:13. > :47:24.serve the danger that your male pride

:47:25. > :47:45.might be hurt. Mirnyi went back to Chan and

:47:46. > :48:04.congratulated her. they are looking in good shape. So

:48:05. > :48:09.good to see Max Mirnyi still out here, he is one of the great success

:48:10. > :48:14.stories from his country. He was coached by his father from the age

:48:15. > :48:17.of six, but there was not a lot of infrastructure with the break-up of

:48:18. > :48:22.the Soviet Union. He came to the United States and was dispatched

:48:23. > :48:26.when he was 14 or 16 to the Academy. He really had to make his own way,

:48:27. > :48:31.one of the first in his generation to do that. He has put together an

:48:32. > :48:36.incredible career and very much a national hero back home. He was

:48:37. > :48:44.president of the tennis Federation at one point. I think he found it

:48:45. > :48:47.quite own risk, quite a big responsibility, but he has put his

:48:48. > :48:53.back into encouraging the young juniors and helping tennis in that

:48:54. > :48:55.country. He is a pretty big deal back home. It is great to still see

:48:56. > :49:09.him out here. And he has banked some $11 million,

:49:10. > :49:59.mostly in doubles. So richly rewarded.

:50:00. > :50:11.Oh no. She waited to see if there would be a commitment the other side

:50:12. > :50:35.of the net, waited too long. Always moving, just got it right.

:50:36. > :50:42.There was a gap down there, but they are beginning to run out of time

:50:43. > :51:10.now. To make their repast. UMPIRE: New balls, please. They are

:51:11. > :51:20.two games away. Zimonjic has won titles here, the Men's Doubles with

:51:21. > :51:23.Daniel Nestor in 2008 and 2009. And Stosur won the mixed here with Bob

:51:24. > :51:34.Bryan. It suddenly got pretty dark here but

:51:35. > :52:26.Stosur is seeing it well. Stosur firing it back. These are

:52:27. > :52:34.critical times now, for Chan and Mirnyi. Planning meetings has gone

:52:35. > :52:49.to crisis meeting. APPLAUSE

:52:50. > :52:57.These two are doing a great job of keeping the ball away from Mirnyi.

:52:58. > :53:10.It would always be the key out here. One break in each set so far.

:53:11. > :53:16.Yes, brilliant play from Samantha Stosur. A lovely shot. Mirnyi caught

:53:17. > :53:31.the line it went, 5-2. She's playing mighty well. Both of

:53:32. > :53:37.them, I have two say, have returned. It has been outstanding,

:53:38. > :53:40.the amount of returns and high-quality returns they have put

:53:41. > :53:49.in court. They have set each other up, Zimonjic has put it away after

:53:50. > :53:53.Stosur set it up. They have gelled beautifully, that is experience.

:53:54. > :53:58.They have done so much winning on the doubles court, so easy for them

:53:59. > :54:09.to combine, almost as a scratch partnership.

:54:10. > :54:20.A mixture up top, back down below, consistent, extraordinary tennis

:54:21. > :54:30.from Zimonjic and Stosur. It is Stosur. The most important and

:54:31. > :55:21.effective player serving for the championship.

:55:22. > :55:26.This performance from these two has been about doing the simple things,

:55:27. > :55:31.they have only lost four points behind their first serve in the

:55:32. > :55:58.entire match. That will take you a long way.

:55:59. > :56:31.Didn't really deserve it. Off the frame of the racket.

:56:32. > :56:42.It has been outstandingly effective, and here are two championship

:56:43. > :57:02.points. For once, you missed one. Just out

:57:03. > :57:40.of his reach. -- he missed one. APPLAUSE

:57:41. > :57:48.UMPIRE: Game, set and match. Zimonjic-Stosur four. To be honest,

:57:49. > :57:51.Mirnyi and Chan were never really in it when a break came at the end of

:57:52. > :57:58.the first set. It took just 56 minutes. Zimonjic and Stosur, the

:57:59. > :58:11.number 15 seeds are the Mixed Doubles champions here at Wimbledon.

:58:12. > :58:22.SUE BARKER: The champions are Zimonjic and Stosur. They are the

:58:23. > :58:27.champions, and they will be going up to get their trophy, we will see

:58:28. > :58:30.that in a little bit. Joining me in the studio and thoroughly enjoying

:58:31. > :58:35.that match point is the Wimbledon champion, Novak Djokovic. You loved

:58:36. > :58:39.watching that. Yes, I am proud of him, very happy for him, use my very

:58:40. > :58:46.good friend for many years. He comes from the same country. -- he is my

:58:47. > :58:49.very good friend. It is a great privilege to win two trophies for

:58:50. > :58:59.Serbia in a matter of hours. As it sunk in? Getting there. -- has it. I

:59:00. > :59:04.just got off the court a fewer hours ago. Tried to celebrate with the

:59:05. > :59:13.team, the people close to me, close to my heart, who have been a great

:59:14. > :59:16.support on this road. As I was saying before, I will say it again,

:59:17. > :59:21.this is the tournament I always dream double winning. It never gets

:59:22. > :59:28.boring, winning Wimbledon, that is the sure. Winning in 2011 is the

:59:29. > :59:32.highlight of my career. This win over Roger in five sets is probably

:59:33. > :59:39.the best Grand Slam final I have ever played in my life. I overcame a

:59:40. > :59:42.lot of challenges in my life, and in my tennis career in the last two

:59:43. > :59:51.years. That is why I had tears of joy in the end, that is why I was

:59:52. > :59:55.very emotional. To rewind the memories from those two years and

:59:56. > :00:00.what we have been through as a team will stop what was the worst over

:00:01. > :00:03.the last two years? There are some private things I went through that I

:00:04. > :00:08.would not talk about now, but it was not easy. Everyone has issues, so

:00:09. > :00:15.you have two understand how to deal with them, how to grow as a person,

:00:16. > :00:20.how to strengthen your character. And managed to win Grand Slams. You

:00:21. > :00:24.cannot separate yourself as a professional tennis player and as a

:00:25. > :00:28.person, it is all the same. You are the same person that walks on the

:00:29. > :00:33.court. If your mind is not clear, you will not be able to compete at

:00:34. > :00:38.such a high level. Roger, 17 time grand slam champion, won so many

:00:39. > :00:43.times at Wimbledon. He is never going to drop the level. That is why

:00:44. > :00:48.he has been a great champion and admired by so many people for so

:00:49. > :00:53.many years. The only way to win against him was to try to find that

:00:54. > :00:58.inner strength, and, and not get carried away by emotion, even though

:00:59. > :01:03.I had plenty of opportunities to kind of fade away, and lose the

:01:04. > :01:08.concentration, but I haven't, and it has been an incredible match to be

:01:09. > :01:13.part of, and I am very proud of what I have achieved and just very glad

:01:14. > :01:18.to win I It was a privilege to us to watch it. In that fifth shot, so

:01:19. > :01:23.many dominants shots. Roger was playing so well. We have picked out

:01:24. > :01:28.a few, because the tennis, the standard got better as the drama

:01:29. > :01:32.unfolded. That is exactly. We pushed each other to the limit, and we had

:01:33. > :01:37.a lot of great points from the baseline, and I knew he was going to

:01:38. > :01:42.take his chances when he was down, a break when I was serving for the

:01:43. > :01:46.match, I mean, I, the only way that, that he could come back, is was

:01:47. > :01:52.being aggressive, that is what he has done, he came to the net, he

:01:53. > :01:58.served precisely, he used the court very well. That is why he has been

:01:59. > :02:02.there for so many years and winning the titles so many times. I

:02:03. > :02:05.understand what it takes, you know, to be a Wimbledon champion, to be a

:02:06. > :02:09.Grand Slam champion, that is why I respect him and his achievements,

:02:10. > :02:13.that is why I am extra proud of what I have done today. When you look at

:02:14. > :02:16.his serving stats it was incredible you found the way to break him and

:02:17. > :02:21.break him down, what was going through your mind on that last match

:02:22. > :02:25.point? Well, to be honest in the last match point I wasn't really

:02:26. > :02:29.thinking of the importance of the point, because I have had so many

:02:30. > :02:32.opportunities to win the match beforehand, match point in the

:02:33. > :02:38.fourth set, serving for the match, being a break up a few times, some

:02:39. > :02:42.very close, close rallies, and he came up with some great shots, so I

:02:43. > :02:48.just told myself I will focus at one point at a time, being the present

:02:49. > :02:54.moment. Is that easy to do? Not easy at all, not easy at all. In those

:02:55. > :02:58.moments, when of course the result is, can go either way, really and

:02:59. > :03:03.when you are playing fifth set against one of your rivals, and

:03:04. > :03:07.against a multiple champion, you know that the only way to try to win

:03:08. > :03:13.it, win against him is to stamen tally strong, because that is what

:03:14. > :03:18.he does the best. Big celebrations here, a wonderful embrace with you

:03:19. > :03:22.and Roger, you knew you had taken part in such an incredible match.

:03:23. > :03:29.Then you celebrate and then you eat the grass. Again! Again. It just

:03:30. > :03:33.came to me. I just wanted to remind myself of how it tastes. Victory

:03:34. > :03:40.tastes very sweet It has been three year since I won it the first time

:03:41. > :03:44.in 2011, so it, it is so special, really, to be on the Centre Court to

:03:45. > :03:48.play the finals of the biggest event in the world, the most watched

:03:49. > :03:54.tennis match in the world, is the Wimbledon final, and boy, we had, we

:03:55. > :03:57.had the great fantastic quality tennis in the finals and hopefully

:03:58. > :04:02.all the people enjoyed. This is the embrace with my team, because it's a

:04:03. > :04:07.team victory in tend, really. I know I am by myself on the court, but I

:04:08. > :04:11.appreciate and I try to show my appreciation for everything they are

:04:12. > :04:17.doing for me, and because all of them, they have their all, they are

:04:18. > :04:23.showing their support, day in, day out, and without them, this wouldn't

:04:24. > :04:27.be possible. Boris Becker joined in and I think he was enjoying it adds

:04:28. > :04:34.much as some of his Wimbledon triumphs. It meant a lot to him I am

:04:35. > :04:38.sorry Marion wasn't able to see this match live, but we are in touch

:04:39. > :04:43.every single day, and trying to, we talked about this match yesterday,

:04:44. > :04:47.and today, you know, trying to prepare as best we can. Marion has

:04:48. > :04:52.been working closely with Boris r and I am just very glad, relieved to

:04:53. > :04:55.win a Grand Slam with Boris as well, because there is many people who

:04:56. > :05:01.doubted that, but I am sure this, this is a great combination. We miss

:05:02. > :05:07.him from the BBC commentary team but he has done a great job. This is a

:05:08. > :05:14.lovely moment. It is incredible. So many people that also were there and

:05:15. > :05:17.took pictures on the balcony, they were outside and didn't have a

:05:18. > :05:22.ticket to come to watch the match on the Centre Court. I know those

:05:23. > :05:26.people, especially are, the tennis, the true tennis fan, and the ones

:05:27. > :05:31.who have a passion for this sport, and appreciate the athletes, and

:05:32. > :05:34.that is why it was, of course, I was very glad to be able to share this

:05:35. > :05:38.moment with them. And it was lovely. We have been watching your way on

:05:39. > :05:42.your up here, signing, I don't know how many tennis balls you have

:05:43. > :05:46.signed. This is for the fan, I think you must have got through well over

:05:47. > :05:50.one hundred. It was close to 50. I don't know to be honest. I wasn't

:05:51. > :05:56.counting. This is lovely. So many kids as well. Inspiration to give

:05:57. > :06:00.kids. As I was saying, there were many who couldn't get a ticket to

:06:01. > :06:05.watch on the Centre Court. Those people paid a ticket to come to

:06:06. > :06:10.watch you play, to just, you know, support and admire admire what you

:06:11. > :06:13.do, so of course, from, for me it is a pleasure to perform in front of

:06:14. > :06:17.them and to give them back as much of the love and support as I can.

:06:18. > :06:22.And that little boy on his dad's shoulders. He loved that. He had a

:06:23. > :06:26.very good catch. He will be a champion of the future. You have

:06:27. > :06:28.talked about winning this, your seventh Grand Slam and getting your

:06:29. > :06:32.hands, you talked about the difficulty. Not talking about off

:06:33. > :06:36.court but on court. The close finals you have had, and missed out on,

:06:37. > :06:42.that this is probably makes it sweeter. Exactly. That is the reason

:06:43. > :06:47.why this victory meant so much to me. First of all because it was

:06:48. > :06:51.against the great rival; against a player in terrific form, in his

:06:52. > :06:57.court, and court that he, you know, he was dominating for so many years,

:06:58. > :07:01.and also considering the fact that I have lost last three out of four

:07:02. > :07:07.Grand Slam finals, and you know, I would lie if I say, you know it is

:07:08. > :07:12.not in my mind, I started playing a bit with my confidence, and I had

:07:13. > :07:15.some doubts but I managed to overcome all these issues, of course

:07:16. > :07:24.all the people helped me and tried to talk to me, but I was the one who

:07:25. > :07:29.who found the way. Today was a huge, huge test, and the mental challenge,

:07:30. > :07:34.and we were pushing each other to the limit, and I could not drop

:07:35. > :07:37.concentration for a single bit throughout the whole match in order

:07:38. > :07:41.to win it, so that is why, I think, this win is extra special. It was an

:07:42. > :07:45.absolute joy to watch. Congratulations, I will let you go

:07:46. > :07:51.now. Seven Grand Slam, two here and many more to come I am sure. It was

:07:52. > :07:54.a privilege to watch it. So we have still got some presentations to go

:07:55. > :07:57.to before we go off the air, but first let us look back at the last

:07:58. > :08:13.two weeks here at Wimbledon 14. Welcome to Wimbledon 2014.

:08:14. > :08:17.There is something magical about unmistakable about the sound of

:08:18. > :08:20.summer. Wimbledon's headline act Andy

:08:21. > :08:30.Murray, the reigning champion, the fist week was as easy as well...

:08:31. > :08:34.# ABc # Andy was top dog week one. Most of

:08:35. > :08:42.the time at least. Andy Murray, please, on your way out can you give

:08:43. > :08:46.John a nudge in the corridor. Murray and Bartoli retired so no title

:08:47. > :08:51.defence for her but she was a tearful supporting act as Sabine

:08:52. > :08:57.Lisicki, who she beat in the final last year, took Centre Court stage

:08:58. > :09:02.instead. Lightning almost struck twice for

:09:03. > :09:07.Rafael Nadal against Rosol who beat the Spaniard two years ago, and had

:09:08. > :09:12.a point for a two sets to love lead this time, until Rafa said

:09:13. > :09:19.# Guess who's back # Back again... #

:09:20. > :09:24.# I'm free... The bigger they are the harder they fall

:09:25. > :09:31.# Freefalling # Second seed Li Na was quickly

:09:32. > :09:38.felled. Novak was down but not out. Serena went flying in doubles, but

:09:39. > :09:43.was safe for now. Sister Venus was sent tumbling from

:09:44. > :09:48.a collision of champions by Petra Kvitova. Then came the biggest

:09:49. > :09:55.shock, the biggest fall. There was no-one to catch her this time.

:09:56. > :10:00.Serena's troubles doubled when illness struck. It's embarrassing.

:10:01. > :10:03.This is ridiculous. An astonishing and worrying end to her

:10:04. > :10:09.championships. We have never seen the likes before.

:10:10. > :10:12.# I am beautiful no matter they say #

:10:13. > :10:17.Fabio Fognini opened his set with a few familiar strains of his troubled

:10:18. > :10:22.soul. Deep down, he just wants to be loved. Just some flat out Italian

:10:23. > :10:25.love. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga unusually played

:10:26. > :10:31.every day Monday to Friday in the first week. It all became a bit 9 to

:10:32. > :10:40.5 for the Frenchman. # Work to nine-to-five... #

:10:41. > :10:45.His third round victim was Jimmy. Maybe next year. It was more five to

:10:46. > :10:52.nine for Thomas Berdych # Stop in the name of love. #

:10:53. > :10:56.He was begging the umpire to stop the show against Cilic but 9.38 he

:10:57. > :11:02.was out after the latest none roof finish at Wimbledon.

:11:03. > :11:08.Talk about intense! Yet bigger names would be shocked and ousted. Nick

:11:09. > :11:14.Kyrgios got his Teenage Kicks by rocking out Centre Court and

:11:15. > :11:18.knocking out Rafa, a huge sensation. Maria Sharapova crashed to Kerber

:11:19. > :11:22.leaving her other half to take over lead vocals.

:11:23. > :11:26.# I can do it. # Grigor Dimitrov a support act no

:11:27. > :11:36.more. Britain's historic hero shown to be only human.

:11:37. > :11:51.# I'm only human # And I'm only human

:11:52. > :11:57.# And I crash and I break down. # Time for the chart countdown. In at

:11:58. > :12:05.number five, shut up your face by Wawrinka a and Feliciano Lopez.

:12:06. > :12:10.Up to number four Milos Raonic with Boom, Boom can be Pow. All round my

:12:11. > :12:19.hat by newspaper head. Your latest trick by dire straits and thanks to

:12:20. > :12:26.the form of Czech mate this week's UK number one, over and over, by Hot

:12:27. > :12:31.Chip and it was Kvitova to give Petra a more recognised

:12:32. > :12:36.pronunciation who proved a Czech too powerful in a one track women's

:12:37. > :12:42.title match. So in tune was she the first major final for Bouchard was

:12:43. > :12:44.brutal. But in Jeannie a new star has been released, while Petra's

:12:45. > :12:48.Wimbledon wishes have been granted for a second time. When Roger

:12:49. > :12:55.Federer performs it is classical delight. The Maestro strings sing

:12:56. > :13:03.when he is 234 rhythmic flow. A record eight Men's Singles title is

:13:04. > :13:09.something few thought he could do. Novak Djokovic ensured after four

:13:10. > :13:15.hours of combat that the Swiss symphony would remain unfinished.

:13:16. > :13:20.Encore as he sealed a seventh slam. Banishing memories of recent finals

:13:21. > :13:28.lost. The sound of summer for this Wimbledon king come no more

:13:29. > :13:31.emotional, no more joyous than this. Wonderful scenes from the

:13:32. > :13:35.Championships over the past two week, ending with Novak Djokovic on

:13:36. > :13:40.that balcony. Wasn't it lovely to hear from him a short time ago? Just

:13:41. > :13:44.before leave, let us round up the other results from today. There is

:13:45. > :13:50.many to get through. In the girls' singles final there were many

:13:51. > :13:53.upsets, and it was between the unseeded Jelena Ostapenko up against

:13:54. > :13:58.Anna Schmiedlova, the number eight seed and it went to the unseeded

:13:59. > :14:03.Ostapenko 6-0 in the third and final set.

:14:04. > :14:08.So receiving the trophy and hopefully this is a name that we

:14:09. > :14:18.will hear many times in Wimbledon clam ships to come.

:14:19. > :14:31.The girls doubles. This was one by Tami Grende and Ye of China. This

:14:32. > :14:34.was played outside on court 18. So that was them receiving their

:14:35. > :14:42.trophy on court. Big smiles all round. Now the Boys' Singles. This

:14:43. > :14:52.is the first all American final of the Boys' Singles and it was won by

:14:53. > :15:05.Rubin, defeating Kozlov, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

:15:06. > :15:13.So Rubin celebrates the Boys' Singles title.

:15:14. > :15:18.In the Boys' Doubles, Luz of Brazil and Zormann of Brazil. They put out

:15:19. > :15:23.the top seeds from the US and a disappointing day for Kozlov, losing

:15:24. > :15:29.the singles and the doubles, but he lost with his Russian partner Rublev

:15:30. > :15:34.and it was 8-6 in the third and final set, so a tough loss out

:15:35. > :15:43.there, a long, long match. In the wheelchair Men's Doubles final, it

:15:44. > :15:46.was won by the top seeds. They won the Australian Open and they are the

:15:47. > :16:00.Wimbledon champion, they came through in one hour and 58 minutes.

:16:01. > :16:05.And great news for Britain's Jordan wily. She and her partner, they were

:16:06. > :16:09.the top seeds and tham through 7-5 in the third set against the Dutch

:16:10. > :16:12.team that had won the past two Wimbledon title, so they have won

:16:13. > :16:16.the Australian, the French and Wimbledon. They need the United

:16:17. > :16:22.States championship now to complete the Grand Slam.

:16:23. > :16:28.And just a short time ago on Centre Court, the final match of Wimbledon

:16:29. > :16:32.2014 was won by Nenad Zimonjic, Djokovic was delighted with that,

:16:33. > :16:38.his good friend. He won it with Sam Stosur of Australia, they were

:16:39. > :16:42.seeded 15, they beat the number 14 seeds, Max Mirnyi and Chan

:16:43. > :16:47.Hao-ching. They have won so many doubles titles

:16:48. > :16:50.round the world, they will certainly treasure this one and that was a

:16:51. > :16:58.lovely match to end the championships. In the Royal Box

:16:59. > :17:02.receiving their trophy. And if you missed the story earlier,

:17:03. > :17:08.Novak Djokovic is the champion, and this is him with the trophy, the top

:17:09. > :17:13.seed defeating Roger Federer, the number four seed, 6-4 in the fifth

:17:14. > :17:19.and final set. It was a very emotional Djokovic on

:17:20. > :17:24.Centre Court, winning his second Wimbledon title, his seventh Grand

:17:25. > :17:27.Slam, but he said here in the studio this is the won he will treasure the

:17:28. > :17:33.most after the difficulties he has had over the past couple of years.

:17:34. > :17:36.Well, we will be looking back that the final and all of the men's

:17:37. > :17:41.final, it was such a wonderful event. It is just after 10.35

:17:42. > :17:46.tonight. A few minutes later than 10.35 but join John and the team for

:17:47. > :17:54.Today at Wimbledon. It was an absolute thriller.

:17:55. > :17:58.So, that is it for Wimbledon 2014. We have had wonderful two weeks

:17:59. > :18:04.here, we have seen so many new names emerging in both the men's and the

:18:05. > :18:08.lady's Championship and and two worthy winner, Petra Kvitova today

:18:09. > :18:11.yesterday, and today Novak Djokovic pulled off a thrilling five set

:18:12. > :18:14.victory against Roger Federer who played his part in one of the

:18:15. > :18:18.matches we will remember in Wimbledon history. I hope you have

:18:19. > :18:57.enjoyed it. From all of us here. Goodbye.
