:00:40. > :00:48.Welcome back to Wimbledon, and isn't this a wonderful picture, blue sky,

:00:49. > :00:52.the sun is out and play is under way on this middle Saturday. So much to

:00:53. > :00:58.get through. Andy Murray is on Centre Court but, at the moment,

:00:59. > :01:02.over on Court Number One, Novak Djokovic is fighting back. Having

:01:03. > :01:07.dropped the first two sets to Sam Querrey last night, he came back on

:01:08. > :01:14.court today and he is two breaks of serve up and 5-2 up, Novak Djokovic,

:01:15. > :01:20.as we can join that match live with our commentators, Tim Henman and

:01:21. > :01:24.Andrew Castle. Sam Querrey held serve, suddenly a break of serve and

:01:25. > :01:28.more errors flowing from the Djokovic racket. If he can hold

:01:29. > :01:35.again, who knows what is going to happen? To get a set back against

:01:36. > :01:41.Novak Djokovic would be incredible. But at least Querrey has got the

:01:42. > :01:48.engine going. After the resumption, he came out pretty cold. Certainly

:01:49. > :01:54.after the first set, that was really nip and tuck. The tie-break could

:01:55. > :02:00.have gone either way. Querrey was playing the better tennis. Querrey

:02:01. > :02:05.dominated the second set and Djokovic has been dominating the

:02:06. > :02:09.third. Maybe a momentary lapse of concentration, but it does look as

:02:10. > :03:16.if this is going to go into a fourth set.

:03:17. > :03:28.Well, this is more like it from the US number four, ranked 41 in the

:03:29. > :03:29.world. A player who has won already this year in Delray beach, playing

:03:30. > :03:40.with such confidence. This game coming up is going to be

:03:41. > :03:49.interesting. Three games in a row, double quick time.

:03:50. > :03:55.Suddenly, these first couple of points on this game are very

:03:56. > :03:57.important. The sun is in the wrong place for Novak Djokovic. As I say

:03:58. > :04:35.that it has gone in. In part three, Querrey's footwork is

:04:36. > :06:36.so much sharper, tracking down the balls, turning defence into attack.

:06:37. > :06:46.Well, obviously, this match made big news last night when Sam Querrey, at

:06:47. > :06:54.8:02pm, slammed yet another ace. It was 7-6, 6-1 up. From the resumption

:06:55. > :07:00.this morning, well, from 35 and 30 in the first game on his own serve,

:07:01. > :07:05.after that, Novak Djokovic fairly dominant, but he still had to work

:07:06. > :07:12.at it. In the first two sets, Querrey getting 70%, first-served

:07:13. > :07:17.percentage is dropped. It's given Djokovic the opportunity to get into

:07:18. > :07:18.more baseline exchanges. That is where Djokovic has been able to turn

:07:19. > :07:29.things around. Querrey doesn't want to be spending

:07:30. > :07:35.too much time rallying. That much obvious to him, sure. But a staccato

:07:36. > :07:44.match. No real rhythm for either player. It on, it off, and that is

:07:45. > :07:53.an equaliser. It certainly is, and this early part of the will be vital

:07:54. > :08:40.for both players. Querrey has to try and find that service rhythm.

:08:41. > :08:49.He's got to find that balance between consistency and aggression.

:08:50. > :08:53.Three feet behind the baseline with a forehand error then trying to

:08:54. > :09:03.really drive a low ball with the backhand.

:09:04. > :09:08.A reminder that Novak Djokovic found himself playing another tool,

:09:09. > :09:19.dangerous opponent, Kevin Anderson of South Africa, on the same court

:09:20. > :09:26.last year. -- another tall, dangerous opponent.

:09:27. > :10:16.Djokovic came through to win his third Wimbledon title.

:10:17. > :10:32.I tell you what, mark that one down. There are not too many times over

:10:33. > :10:36.the course of a year, on a second serve, on break point, he's going to

:10:37. > :11:55.miss the ball. Very unusual. Better first serve. When he got the

:11:56. > :12:18.forehand, it was like he snatched it a bit. A bit quick with the swing.

:12:19. > :12:30.No more than a rallying ball for Novak Djokovic. Both players a bit

:12:31. > :12:33.tight stop -- a bit tight. Full is to so rare to see Djokovic making an

:12:34. > :12:54.unforced error at a point like this. Querrey will be keen to finish in

:12:55. > :13:22.this game right here. He might have been guilty of ball

:13:23. > :13:46.watching it, Sam Querrey. He was there.

:13:47. > :14:13.That was a big hold of serve. Important. Break points saved.

:14:14. > :14:21.Djokovic is a very crosspatch at the moment. He was very cross this

:14:22. > :14:24.morning as well on the practice court with Boris Becker. This is

:14:25. > :14:33.where the coach has to show some authority and guidance. I always say

:14:34. > :14:37.what these coaches bring. On the practice court this morning, you saw

:14:38. > :14:43.it. If Boris is saying nothing, everybody had better watch out,

:14:44. > :14:46.because Novak is floating through, no problem, but Boris Becker getting

:14:47. > :16:38.involved, you know, there is a bit of an issue.

:16:39. > :16:48.Don't tell me we are in for a third break here. Last night, just after

:16:49. > :16:59.8pm, 12:26pm today was another, and I'm very sure that the umpire said,

:17:00. > :17:02.lets stop. Unfortunately, on this service, -- surface, there is no way

:17:03. > :17:10.you can control a slide. If a player goes over, that is not what we are

:17:11. > :17:18.about. No sign of Masaryk, the court covering chief here. -- maverick.

:17:19. > :17:26.His team are beginning to emerge at the back. Masaryk not there.

:17:27. > :17:29.Studying at KCl, studying medicine. He had a blue top on earlier. Where

:17:30. > :17:44.is he? No. I spoke to the referee a couple of

:17:45. > :17:49.minutes ago and he said there was a small shower in the area, but a

:17:50. > :17:55.chance it might only last for five minutes, hence why the players are

:17:56. > :17:56.being kept out on the court. Just hope there isn't too much moisture

:17:57. > :18:14.that falls on the surface. So this upset that was talked about

:18:15. > :18:18.last night, it hasn't looked like Sam Querrey is going to win this

:18:19. > :18:23.match yet, has it? That was a big hold in the first game there, but

:18:24. > :18:30.the third set, really, Djokovic all the way. This upset is not on the

:18:31. > :18:37.cards yet. Such a long way to go per Querrey. You still feel at this

:18:38. > :18:42.stage of the match that Djokovic is the favourite. The early part of

:18:43. > :18:49.this fourth set will be vital. Who can wrestle the momentum?

:18:50. > :18:58.One of 24 men in this draw to have won a grass court title, Sam

:18:59. > :19:01.Querrey. This was always going to be a demanding match for Novak

:19:02. > :19:06.Djokovic, and it's demanding because of the weather, as well as the fact

:19:07. > :19:10.he's trying to come back from two sets down for the fifth time in his

:19:11. > :19:17.career. He did it on this very court last year against Kevin Anderson and

:19:18. > :19:20.he's going to have to be resilient. So are the crowd, and so is Sam

:19:21. > :19:25.Querrey, as they go off again for the second time today, the third

:19:26. > :19:30.time overall in the match. It's absolutely pouring. They need to get

:19:31. > :19:36.on court now and cover it. I would have thought... And still they wait

:19:37. > :19:41.at the back of the court. The more rain falls on this service now, the

:19:42. > :19:49.longer the delay when this small shower passes through. Just from the

:19:50. > :19:54.concrete onto a carpeted area, through the double doors, there is a

:19:55. > :19:58.little anteroom on the left, a loo on the right, and they go all the

:19:59. > :20:04.way down to the changing room. Quite a long way down. There are a couple

:20:05. > :20:08.of locker room is there, just next to the entrance to Court Number One.

:20:09. > :20:14.With them going into those locker rooms, it would imply that the rain

:20:15. > :20:21.is going to stop pretty shortly. Looking out from our commentary box,

:20:22. > :20:24.it does look like the rain has stopped and, fingers crossed, the

:20:25. > :20:32.court isn't going to be too slippery to get them back out here. Eight

:20:33. > :20:37.times, the American has played a world number one and hasn't managed

:20:38. > :20:42.to get a victory yet. How much do players in the locker room and in

:20:43. > :20:47.the rest of the tour, how much do they know when a big seed is in

:20:48. > :20:53.trouble? If Novak Djokovic goes out, it's a completely different ball

:20:54. > :20:56.game. Murray is immediately the hot favourite to win. Fedor wrote, in

:20:57. > :21:03.the top half of the draw, he will love that. -- Roger Federer. I was

:21:04. > :21:07.in the main locker room this morning and there is a lots of hanging

:21:08. > :21:11.around and watching what is going on if the Centre Court roof is shut.

:21:12. > :21:16.There is obviously tennis to be watched there. Everyone will be

:21:17. > :21:25.aware of the situation out here. Djokovic was down 2-0, now 2-1. The

:21:26. > :21:31.winner of this match faces the winner of Mahut against Herbert, a

:21:32. > :21:39.wonderful double steam together -- doubles team together. 2-1 up. That

:21:40. > :21:53.would be an attractive match, the winner of this against that. Novak

:21:54. > :21:59.Djokovic, who just doesn't lose sets in the first three rounds of Grand

:22:00. > :22:04.Slams, very flat against Querrey yesterday, but working his way back

:22:05. > :22:08.in. It's the challenge of grass courts. After that little shower on

:22:09. > :22:13.any other surface, you'd be straight back out there. The players wouldn't

:22:14. > :22:18.have a warm up, but on they go. There's probably going to be a bit

:22:19. > :22:22.of moisture on the surface. With the wind in the air, hopefully that will

:22:23. > :22:30.dry out quickly. They can get going again. Boris hasn't gone far. It's

:22:31. > :22:35.quite a long way from Court Number One, isn't it, to head back to

:22:36. > :22:45.Centre Court. Yeah, there's a tunnel that goes underneath, 15, 16. They

:22:46. > :22:49.have got ice bath is down there as well, a new physio room.

:22:50. > :22:52.Improvements being made at the club over time, and the players are

:22:53. > :23:02.always at the forefront. There will be a roof over this number one court

:23:03. > :23:04.for the Championships in 2019. A glass of milk. As he got whiskey in

:23:05. > :23:36.there? It's possible. Yeah. Nobody since Rod Laver in 1969 has

:23:37. > :23:42.won the first three legs of a calendar year grand slam and, of

:23:43. > :23:46.course, Novak Djokovic is the current holder of each of the grand

:23:47. > :23:50.slam championships. It's remarkable, something that Serena Williams has

:23:51. > :23:56.done twice in her career, so it's not unknown. In the men's game, just

:23:57. > :24:00.a fabulous achievement. Of course, in the women's game as well, but a

:24:01. > :24:06.fabulous achievement from Djokovic, who has elevated himself above the

:24:07. > :24:12.others. Rafa Nadal not herewith is bad wrist, such a worry for him and

:24:13. > :24:19.his army of fans. Did you hear anything about that, his wrist? I

:24:20. > :24:23.heard it was in a pretty bad way during the French Open. I think he

:24:24. > :24:27.had an injection in it at some stage and he was told in no uncertain

:24:28. > :24:32.terms that he needed to rest to give it a chance to deal. Fingers crossed

:24:33. > :24:38.he can be back. I think the plan is he can start hitting a couple of

:24:39. > :24:46.weeks after Wimbledon. That was kind of a holding press release.

:24:47. > :24:58.Once again, the players get ready to emerge into the sunlight. Those

:24:59. > :25:01.break points that Novak Djokovic had on the first Querrey say this game

:25:02. > :25:09.might be playing on his mind. It would be nice to come back on a

:25:10. > :25:15.break-up. It would be, and with the players only having been on for just

:25:16. > :25:18.-- off for just over ten minutes, there will not be a warm up.

:25:19. > :25:30.Straight into the match, a tricky scenario to deal with.

:25:31. > :25:33.Nine or ten minutes or so since they left the court. They come back on

:25:34. > :25:49.again. 30 consecutive match wins at one of

:25:50. > :25:57.our four major championships for major Djokovic -- Novak Djokovic. In

:25:58. > :26:04.the media centre earlier on, I saw that, when Rod Laver achieved 31

:26:05. > :26:09.victories, it was 1970. He lost his record, you are a trivia man...

:26:10. > :26:15.Don't tell me I am actually going to win one of these! Tim Henman doesn't

:26:16. > :26:23.lose many. Who did Rod Laver win against -- lose against end that

:26:24. > :26:28.run? Roger Taylor. I can't believe it! You completely bluffed! It's

:26:29. > :26:34.funny you say that. This is the truth. They've got new posters

:26:35. > :26:39.around the club with the line, pursuit of greatness, and I read

:26:40. > :26:49.about it today, a picture of Roger tailor hitting a backhand volley.

:26:50. > :29:45.A horrible start. Is this part four? Yes.

:29:46. > :29:51.Three straight points for the world number one. Break points again on

:29:52. > :30:51.the American's serve. A fifth break point. The two service

:30:52. > :31:47.games of Sam Querrey this set. APPLAUSE

:31:48. > :31:54.There's just not a percentage shot back, when he is struggling with his

:31:55. > :32:00.foot work and his rhythm, he doesn't want to hit off his shoelaces in the

:32:01. > :32:13.middle of the court. Probably only three out of ten for

:32:14. > :32:48.artistic impression. Went down quite quickly, didn't he?

:32:49. > :32:55.This pressure just has to tell, doesn't it, in the end? This is an

:32:56. > :33:01.important passage of play. Barry got himself into this match after one of

:33:02. > :33:06.the resumption is. Went from 0- five to 3-5 in the first set. That's

:33:07. > :33:17.good, got his engine going today. So much pressure here.

:33:18. > :33:30.another poor backhand volley. It's just sat there, didn't it? He really

:33:31. > :33:34.gave it far too much air, plenty of time for Djokovic to come up there,

:33:35. > :33:44.pick his spot, roll this across the front.

:33:45. > :33:51.On resumption it seems that if Querrey has not dominated the point

:33:52. > :33:58.in the first two thirds strikes, the longer the rally goes, the more

:33:59. > :34:05.Djokovic is taking, and. -- the more Djokovic is taking,

:34:06. > :34:26.Querrey needs to keep that weapon firing. Mr Djokovic is challenging

:34:27. > :34:41.the call. The ball is called in. Looks like it caught the outside

:34:42. > :34:47.edge. Yes. After that many deuces to come through the game and have break

:34:48. > :34:52.points as well. Mapoe a really strong hold, two games in a row. He

:34:53. > :34:57.is resisting Djokovic's best body shots here. Impressive. Querrey

:34:58. > :35:01.certainly hanging in, it's not often in the biggest events you see

:35:02. > :35:09.Djokovic with 11 break points and only taking two of them. So, Sunday

:35:10. > :35:15.play for the first time since 2004 tomorrow. 22,000 tickets for sale

:35:16. > :35:19.today, from five minutes ago. I imagine if it hadn't gone on for so

:35:20. > :35:24.long I would have told you about it beforehand. You have to go on to the

:35:25. > :35:28.Wimbledon website, though online, first-come, first-served basis for

:35:29. > :35:34.those 22,000 tickets. 10,000 unreserved tickets on Centre Court

:35:35. > :35:43.for ?70. 8000 unreserved on number one Court at ?40. 4000 ground passes

:35:44. > :35:52.at ?20. Court 2-19 still in action. A pretty full day on Sunday.

:35:53. > :36:07.But will Novak Djokovic still be in the tournament then? We'll see. 2-1

:36:08. > :36:27.down. 2-1 games down to the big American.

:36:28. > :36:56.Shouldn't you be on the telephones, manning them or something?

:36:57. > :37:06.That's a very, very peculiar shot, behind the baseline in the middle of

:37:07. > :37:08.a rally. When Djokovic is trading backhand crosscourt you would think

:37:09. > :37:38.he would fancy his chances against most players.

:37:39. > :37:50.That's a little bit fortunate. Not quite sure how this happened. The

:37:51. > :37:56.second time he's just completely bluffed coming in. Older school.

:37:57. > :38:00.Credit where credit's do, Andrew, he took the lob wedge, cut underneath

:38:01. > :38:24.it. It's delicious. This is a bit nervy, isn't it? When

:38:25. > :38:30.it's a bit nervy, the footwork is not as sharp, especially when you

:38:31. > :38:31.are six foot six, and it's probably not your strength in the first

:38:32. > :38:41.place. Another bad mistake, there was the

:38:42. > :39:24.drop shot, there's that. Second serve. It was an effort,

:39:25. > :39:32.second serve, 105 miles an hour, quite quick, after missing the first

:39:33. > :39:35.quite badly. It was brave. A good second serve but Querrey will be

:39:36. > :39:42.mighty disappointed. It was his forehand, plenty of time. In the

:39:43. > :40:28.net. Not sure he's going to get much

:40:29. > :40:39.success with this challenge. In front of our commentary box it

:40:40. > :40:51.looked well wide. Deuce. Mr Djokovic has one challenge remaining.

:40:52. > :40:59.It's a horrible mess, it really is. A catalogue of errors. It's

:41:00. > :41:01.incomprehensible really to anybody including Boris Becker, who has

:41:02. > :41:27.watched Novak Djokovic is He's looking straight up to Boris

:41:28. > :41:33.Becker, Djokovic had a horrible shot there. Overran it, pushed it, said

:41:34. > :41:36.it straight to Querrey, who was probably so surprised. There was the

:41:37. > :42:10.lob. Coaching team and friends of

:42:11. > :42:30.Querrey. Djokovic has done a Houdini in that

:42:31. > :42:47.game. Neither player looking particularly

:42:48. > :42:50.decisive on their serfs. Querrey saving a whole host of break point

:42:51. > :42:54.in his previous service game. Djokovic getting out of trouble

:42:55. > :42:56.there. Somebody needs to take this fourth set by the scruff of the

:42:57. > :45:19.neck. Third straight game. The American's

:45:20. > :45:24.serve. Djokovic widely considered the greatest return of all time has

:45:25. > :45:26.had break points. Surely, one of these is going to go his way. Not

:45:27. > :46:29.this one. Well construct nicely crafted, the

:46:30. > :46:36.backhand down the line. The crowd were saying, it's out, but it caught

:46:37. > :46:45.the line and in it came behind forehand minutes later. Executed

:46:46. > :47:00.nicely. 13 break point in the match, he's only taking two of them. One of

:47:01. > :47:06.the reasons why. Eight aces in the fourth set and 24 in the match. 24

:47:07. > :47:15.aces past Novak Djokovic. A seriously good number.

:47:16. > :47:31.Well played. Took his time on that forehand. Another big serve gave him

:47:32. > :47:42.the opportunity to pick his spot. Excellent execution. He has come

:47:43. > :47:50.through the fire in this set, Novak going absolutely spare. Boris

:47:51. > :47:59.completely unperturbed, as are the rest of the team.

:48:00. > :48:05.STUDIO: It's all happening on court and one but over on Centre Court

:48:06. > :48:14.Andy Murray has started his challenge against this man, John Tim

:48:15. > :48:23.three macro and Murray is 2-0 up. That's on BBC One. -- this man, John

:48:24. > :48:28.Millman. This is Court 18 where Steve Johnson is now in charge of

:48:29. > :48:33.this third set, a break of serve up and one point to go. Against a

:48:34. > :48:39.former semifinalist here, Grigor Dimitrov, who has dropped 37 in the

:48:40. > :48:46.rankings. That match is on the red button. The match we were watching

:48:47. > :48:54.early on BBC Two Angelique Kerber, the number four seed, won her match

:48:55. > :48:59.7-6, 6-1. The Australian Open champion is through to the fourth

:49:00. > :49:06.round. And one other results to bring you, Alexander Zverev, the

:49:07. > :49:12.very talented teenager, seeded 24, has put out Mikhail Youzhny in five

:49:13. > :49:19.sets. This was held over from yesterday as 2-2. They came out here

:49:20. > :49:25.today and Zverev took it 6-2. There will be a lot more from this young

:49:26. > :49:47.man, Alexander Zverev. Back we go to Court One.

:49:48. > :49:59.COMMENTATOR: Getting a little bit wild, is that nerves? Anxiety. Not

:50:00. > :50:02.quite timing it, not quite getting his feet in the right position, but

:50:03. > :50:31.still trying to unload on the shot. Oh no, that's in, isn't it? It's

:50:32. > :50:36.going to be challenged. Has Djokovic left that one? The ball is called

:50:37. > :50:48.in. Certainly had a play on the ball coming he wasn't beaten for pace.

:50:49. > :50:48.Further evidence of a lack of 100% engagement today, for whatever

:50:49. > :51:18.reason. Very uncharacteristic. Basic stuff

:51:19. > :51:37.for him. Djokovic has had eight break points

:51:38. > :51:59.of his own and failed to capitalise. Now faces two. That's miles away.

:52:00. > :52:06.Anything, anything over the net. To make Djokovic play at this point.

:52:07. > :52:08.Fine margins, isn't it, that second serve from Djokovic just caught the

:52:09. > :54:13.back edge. Living on a knife edge. Djokovic did well to recover from a

:54:14. > :54:20.slip, his right foot gave as he was setting up his pace to hit the

:54:21. > :54:49.forehand. -- setting up his base. Three break point saved.

:54:50. > :54:55.He did so well. To cut that ball. The second one. The first wasn't

:54:56. > :55:39.much good, the second was great. After this little piece of

:55:40. > :55:45.magnificence, there was eruption. Look at this. Whatever's going on in

:55:46. > :55:52.the fair came out right there. -- what ever's coming on in there.

:55:53. > :55:55.Quite a fearsome sight, isn't it? Like Vesuvius on a calm summer

:55:56. > :56:28.afternoon. You want to see positive self talk,

:56:29. > :56:35.that's just about the epitome of it, he realises this is a tough fight.

:56:36. > :56:39.Not in harmony at all, body and mind. And an opponent playing well

:56:40. > :56:59.at times. You sometimes sends whether those

:57:00. > :57:00.reactions have been more with Querrey, the underdog. Always

:57:01. > :58:33.craving that affection, Djokovic. 129 again, this is good stuff.

:58:34. > :58:35.Really, fine match playing, Querrey. Certainly doesn't normally take 45

:58:36. > :59:20.minutes to complete seven games. Third time he has been aced on the

:59:21. > :00:29.deuce court. In this game. Fourth time in this game. Wow, 28

:00:30. > :00:31.aces now. 71 in the tournament. He went 12-10 in the fifth in his first

:00:32. > :00:53.match with Rosol. Great hold. Really top-class serving. He once

:00:54. > :00:59.hit ten aces in a row against James Blake. Tells you everything you need

:01:00. > :01:07.to know about the American number four. Just got Isner, Jack Sock and

:01:08. > :01:15.Steve Johnson is playing so well now as well. Credit to him, he hasn't

:01:16. > :01:22.crumbled. Seven games in 46 minutes on a grass court is slightly rare.

:01:23. > :01:26.Are they slightly overdoing it with umbrellas, the ball boys? Trying to

:01:27. > :01:29.make a point that the sun is shining, giving the players a bit of

:01:30. > :01:37.shade? I should think the players are quite happy to sit in the sun.

:01:38. > :01:43.Sunday play for the first time since 2004. I am not sure whether there

:01:44. > :01:46.are any tickets left. I am sure it was very busy, and I hope you have

:01:47. > :01:53.been successful. We will be here tomorrow.

:01:54. > :02:02.It's a captivating match, this third round winner. -- this third round.

:02:03. > :04:33.The winner is to play Mahut, I believe. He was 2-1 and a break-up.

:04:34. > :04:43.Novak Djokovic has not lost on anything other than a clay court

:04:44. > :04:50.this year. Murray beat him in Italy, Vesely beat him in Monte Carlo. The

:04:51. > :04:56.other match that he lost was a retirement in Dubai right after the

:04:57. > :05:01.Australian Open. So it would be a major surprise if this man were to

:05:02. > :05:21.go out at the very top of the draw. Fancy getting to Wimbledon and only

:05:22. > :05:33.having lost two completed matches, both on clay.

:05:34. > :05:48.Chances now for Djokovic to break through, deep in this fourth set.

:05:49. > :06:02.UMPIRE: Mr Querrey is challenging the call on the service line. The

:06:03. > :06:23.ball was called out. If it was long, it didn't miss by much.

:06:24. > :06:37.UMPIRE: Mr Querrey has two challenges remaining.

:06:38. > :07:03.That was the 30th case of the match Querrey. -- ace.

:07:04. > :07:07.It's quite hard to be philosophical when those things go past all the

:07:08. > :08:06.time. Querrey really has to dominate with

:08:07. > :08:11.his first couple of strikes in the rally. If it goes more than five

:08:12. > :08:54.shots, Djokovic starting to exploit the movement.

:08:55. > :09:03.That is it! The breakthrough which may mean 2-2. Djokovic still to

:09:04. > :09:06.serve for it, but finally a break of serve. Sam couldn't serve his way

:09:07. > :09:19.out of that one. STUDIO: He may not be looking

:09:20. > :09:23.himself, but somehow he is finding a way to get himself back in the

:09:24. > :09:28.match. So Djokovic will be serving for the fourth set in a moment.

:09:29. > :09:33.That's how you finish it off, but lets take you over to Centre Court,

:09:34. > :09:37.because Andy Murray is over there, 5-2 up with a break of serve. There

:09:38. > :09:43.have been three in this match so far. That match is live on BBC One.

:09:44. > :09:49.We will be keeping an eye on that, keep you updated. Now lets head back

:09:50. > :10:02.to Djokovic, serving for the fourth. COMMENTATOR: Impossible to ignore

:10:03. > :10:10.the scoreline so far. As Djokovic steels himself to serve to make it

:10:11. > :10:24.two sets all. Sunshine on Court Number One.

:10:25. > :10:42.Certainly a sunnier disposition for Djokovic at the moment.

:10:43. > :10:48.He certainly should have challenged it because, in our commentary box,

:10:49. > :11:34.we could see it was on the outside edge of the line.

:11:35. > :11:41.You know what, he hasn't challenged. Twice in a row, and Tim has given

:11:42. > :11:45.our secret away. We know that that ball was in. Two in a row, serving

:11:46. > :12:06.for the set! Not sharp. Certainly, at this stage of the

:12:07. > :12:11.match, if there was even the slightest element of doubt, you

:12:12. > :12:22.would ask the question. If he had any challenges left...

:12:23. > :12:37.O'Connor he found it! -- oh, he found it! Of course, he didn't have

:12:38. > :12:39.any challenges left. It is we who are not sharp. Sam Querrey, backhand

:12:40. > :13:09.down the line. Amazing! It's not as if Querrey has been

:13:10. > :13:25.brilliant on the break points either. Three of 14 in the match.

:13:26. > :13:43.Oh, he missed it. Can you believe that! Challenges unavailable. It

:13:44. > :13:49.would have helped. Is that volley goes pretty much anywhere over the

:13:50. > :13:52.net, it's going to be a winner. Querrey was so far over the

:13:53. > :14:30.baseline, it's nearly landed on his foot.

:14:31. > :17:32.Djokovic not the only one who needs volley in practice.

:17:33. > :17:55.It's interesting, isn't it, Hal, if you are the man at the top of the

:17:56. > :17:57.game, if you have done all of this winning, you are the centre of

:17:58. > :18:04.attention all the time and you have to see off people like Sam Querrey,

:18:05. > :18:09.day in, day out, not every day is perfection. Sam Querrey, those first

:18:10. > :18:17.two sets, superb. This is a brilliant effort from him. A player

:18:18. > :18:23.who was top 50 as a teenager, top 25 in the world in both singles and

:18:24. > :18:28.doubles in 2010. For me, one of the most amazing aspects of Djokovic's

:18:29. > :18:33.run is how consistently well he's been able to perform. He is always

:18:34. > :18:39.on a scale of one to ten. He is continually producing eight, a

:18:40. > :18:46.Kandahar. Today, it's been so much more variable, a bit like the

:18:47. > :18:53.weather. -- eight, eight and a half. Umbrellas going up, once again,

:18:54. > :18:58.everybody reaching for the coats. The players are going to stay there,

:18:59. > :19:06.under instruction from the referee. I suspect we will just have a quick

:19:07. > :19:11.delay here, hopefully. Here come the court covers once again.

:19:12. > :19:22.UMPIRE: Ladies and gentlemen, clay is suspended. -- play is suspended.

:19:23. > :19:29.Djokovic trooping off, having served. He wants Boris Becker to

:19:30. > :19:34.come with him, I think. Boris get up out of his chair. He'll have to walk

:19:35. > :19:45.around the court and go and see his man. It's interesting, it isn't

:19:46. > :19:50.concentration. I have to say, I hadn't noticed that those challenges

:19:51. > :19:56.were gone. The first two points, ironically, where he could have

:19:57. > :20:00.challenged, and he couldn't, because the challenges were out. So

:20:01. > :20:04.important, that technology. OK, that's it for the moment here on

:20:05. > :20:10.Court Number One. Hopefully back in a moment. 6-5, Querrey. So close to

:20:11. > :20:19.a famous victory. STUDIO: What a time to stop! When

:20:20. > :20:24.Djokovic comes out, he will be serving to stay in the match.

:20:25. > :20:28.Looking around Wimbledon, it looks like it is only going to be a short

:20:29. > :20:33.shower, so hopefully we will have some play for you very soon. While

:20:34. > :20:38.we await players out on Court Number One, we are going to take you to a

:20:39. > :20:43.match over on court 18, featuring Steve Johnson of the United States.

:20:44. > :20:47.He won the Nottingham tournament, a couple of rounds at Queen's. He is

:20:48. > :20:53.up against former semifinalist Grigor Dimitrov, who has slipped to

:20:54. > :21:09.a world ranking of 37. Johnson is serving at 3-0 in the third set.

:21:10. > :21:19.That's the problem. Stop, start, stop, start. It doesn't matter how

:21:20. > :21:21.old you are, 25, 26, you still have to crank it up each time, and it's

:21:22. > :22:47.not easy. A look from Dimmick trough that we

:22:48. > :22:52.didn't see after he came out after the last rain delay, and he knows he

:22:53. > :22:56.needs to get a quick break. How fortunate was it for Steve Johnson

:22:57. > :23:03.to get that second break before the rain came down! A chance to get one

:23:04. > :23:08.of them back here. Just like when he returned this morning and he had the

:23:09. > :23:15.5-4 lead, no first serves, Steve, and a poor game. It's hard. You get

:23:16. > :23:20.the motor revved up and you have to take the time off and you have the

:23:21. > :23:25.momentum. Within moments, the momentum is shot, it's gone. He is

:23:26. > :23:30.still a break-up, but it won't be like that right now for Steve

:23:31. > :23:34.Johnson. First game, just like it was at the start of this third set,

:23:35. > :23:39.when they came back from a rain delay, we've had a break of serve,

:23:40. > :23:50.as we have in three of the first four games of this set.

:23:51. > :23:59.Wasn't that in identical game... Absolutely identical. When we

:24:00. > :24:07.started play this morning, with Johnson serving for it at 5-4.

:24:08. > :24:15.Dimitrov held serve at 5-3, correct? Johnson lost serve again. Amazingly,

:24:16. > :24:21.those are the only two times in the match when Johnson has lost serve.

:24:22. > :24:27.Each time we've resumed. When he's had the lead. Correct. That's why I

:24:28. > :24:50.said it. That's why, when you talked about

:24:51. > :24:55.momentum, who does it favour, there is no momentum once you leave the

:24:56. > :25:17.court this many times. You have to generate it.

:25:18. > :25:30.No. Ball against sailing off the backhand side. The difficulty as

:25:31. > :25:34.well for players is not knowing how long the break is going to be and

:25:35. > :25:39.what to do during the time off court.

:25:40. > :26:11.It's a carbon copy of the first set. Johnson led 4-3, coming back from

:26:12. > :26:19.last night. He was able to hold. Dimitrov held and then Johnson got

:26:20. > :26:23.broken at love. Rebound is beautifully to win the second set.

:26:24. > :26:30.Really took it up nicely in that tie-break. But ill afford to go down

:26:31. > :26:35.two sets to love, the way that Dimitrov has been playing now.

:26:36. > :26:40.Johnson had a two break advantage. It's been turned into one.

:26:41. > :26:49.Multipurpose umbrellas here. It keeps you drive when it rains, it

:26:50. > :26:54.keeps you cool when it's sunny. Pretty calm, not too much breeze.

:26:55. > :26:58.Interestingly, when Johnson got his second break, just before the rain

:26:59. > :27:06.delay, it was very breezy. It's calm now. Seven eighths of the match,

:27:07. > :28:04.which began last night just before 7:30pm. -- seventh ace.

:28:05. > :28:10.The other thing about momentum, some players can get back into a groove

:28:11. > :28:17.pretty quickly. Others it takes a bit longer. Correct. That's the

:28:18. > :28:20.difference between being a slow starter and somebody who just get

:28:21. > :28:30.out there and is revved up right away.

:28:31. > :28:48.In the case of Steve Johnson, when he came back this morning, he was a

:28:49. > :28:53.slow starter but, when they had the other rain delay, that came after

:28:54. > :28:57.the second set, he picked it up, he learned. He realised that he needed

:28:58. > :29:20.to come out faster. Johnson still has the break. One

:29:21. > :29:27.break to the good. When that ball is coming off his racket, you feel the

:29:28. > :29:31.pace, if you are Dimitrov, and Dimitrov has been a bit late on some

:29:32. > :29:39.of these shots, particularly now he is trailing. Timing all wrong on

:29:40. > :30:01.that last shot. He must hold here, the Bulgarian.

:30:02. > :30:06.Just thinking, if you are Richard Gasquet, who is meant to be third of

:30:07. > :30:09.this court today, after the Williams sisters play doubles, are you

:30:10. > :30:25.playing on this court tonight? He got lucky, Steve Johnson. Good

:30:26. > :30:30.guess from Dimitrov. It just wasn't able to answer the volley. A lot of

:30:31. > :30:32.it is contingent on how long this match takes, because I think the

:30:33. > :30:35.Williams sisters match may move quickly. They may even move it to

:30:36. > :30:56.another court. Great feel. We think we have light

:30:57. > :31:08.until 9pm, 9:30pm, not the case when you have these overcast conditions.

:31:09. > :31:10.Correct, 9:30pm it's daylight if there are clear skies. The other

:31:11. > :31:12.thing we have after Jack Sock and Milos Raonic, third match from

:31:13. > :31:20.Centre Court, the opportunity to move matches indoors. Remember,

:31:21. > :31:21.there is play tomorrow, for only the fourth time in Wimbledon history.

:31:22. > :31:40.And you're worth it. Good volley. A wonderfully played.

:31:41. > :31:44.Kept moving towards the net. Something everyone at home can

:31:45. > :31:48.learn. When you decide you're going to come forward, you must continue

:31:49. > :31:52.to move forward, even if the ball's floating. Good point, court

:31:53. > :31:56.coverage, a lot of these spectators also keen tennis players themselves,

:31:57. > :32:02.trying some of that on the courts tomorrow.

:32:03. > :32:23.Steve Johnson is just dying to get another break. Felt that ball.

:32:24. > :32:29.Barely missed it. Sounded like Damian Steiner said 30-40. We know

:32:30. > :32:38.differently, we know it's 40-30. I may have heard wrong. Brunger! That

:32:39. > :32:42.centreline was very lucky just then. He's agile, though, got to be. --

:32:43. > :32:55.boom! Sam Querrey has a break point

:32:56. > :33:35.against Djokovic. Fourth set. Oh yeah, he knew the minute he hit

:33:36. > :33:38.that, there came an extra yelp and a great opportunity now for Steve

:33:39. > :33:43.Johnson. Which is a virtual set point. Dimitrov better be careful.

:33:44. > :33:48.The Johnson forehand is connecting now. Again, it's about the quality

:33:49. > :34:04.of the Dimitrov serve. There is the break, he's up a double

:34:05. > :34:46.break in this third set, very much advantage Steve Johnson.

:34:47. > :34:56.Focus, focus, focus, 5-2 up. Stops and starts. That was a nice view

:34:57. > :35:02.from up above of Centre Court with the roof closed. You can just see to

:35:03. > :35:07.the left-hand side the side of number one Court, the broadcast

:35:08. > :35:10.Centre. And those on the roof, where we do our stand-ups from the end of

:35:11. > :35:17.play, from Great Britain, Australia, they are all in there. As well as

:35:18. > :35:25.the studios below and the offices to the right-hand side. No, where

:35:26. > :35:32.coaches and teams for each player is it, up above, hanging over, looking

:35:33. > :35:48.down. Steve Johnson serving for a 2-1 set lead.

:35:49. > :35:54.I want to go back to something you said earlier about Grigor Dimitrov

:35:55. > :35:58.being a very different player when he's behind and trying to attack.

:35:59. > :36:02.He's more attack minded, more adventurous when behind, but a

:36:03. > :36:09.different player when ahead. It is true of a lot of players.

:36:10. > :36:18.It's all based on expectation. When you're close in the set,

:36:19. > :36:22.side-by-side, you look at the score, you may play the points differently.

:36:23. > :36:25.When you are down by a double break against somebody as good a Steve

:36:26. > :36:29.Johnson you will probably throw your hands up and say, I'll probably lose

:36:30. > :36:33.the set anyway. There is no expectation, it goes by the wind,

:36:34. > :36:38.therefore you are able to open up your shoulders and swing freely.

:36:39. > :36:45.Even you could do that, Mark. No. Yeah. So you've got one guy swinging

:36:46. > :36:51.freely, right? Who's basically said whatever. Who is behind. The guy

:36:52. > :37:01.trying to close it out becomes a little more cautious. Tight. You

:37:02. > :37:06.said it. Cat and mouse. That one was not coming back.

:37:07. > :37:12.When you're playing out there and you're Steve Johnson from you have

:37:13. > :37:17.this kind of lead, you have to say to yourself, I have to keep my level

:37:18. > :37:21.up, if not, take it up a notch, because my opponent is going to play

:37:22. > :37:25.better, because he's going to be free and easy. It may not happen but

:37:26. > :37:35.it's a good way to think, to keep yourself in the match and motivated.

:37:36. > :37:39.Look at that. I mean, boom. Steve Johnson saying, too good. Dimitrov

:37:40. > :37:45.with an opportunity to get one of the breaks back. Here's another

:37:46. > :38:00.break point. Johnson under pressure. Under the cosh. Stevie, third double

:38:01. > :38:04.fault of the match. You said that before also. Five having three in

:38:05. > :38:09.the first set to Johnson and he was broken. A lot of similarities

:38:10. > :38:14.between this set and the first. The second set we had one break point in

:38:15. > :38:22.the whole set before Johnson took it on a tie-break. He earned it, played

:38:23. > :38:27.really all out. Five breaks of serve. We're now at 3-5. Another lax

:38:28. > :39:00.game, though. From the American. Well, he's going to have a chance to

:39:01. > :39:08.serve for it one more time. Better not lose the serve again. 125 mph,

:39:09. > :39:13.fastest of the tournament so far. Including John Isner on this court

:39:14. > :39:19.yesterday. OK, it's going to be like that, is it? 126? 148 is the fastest

:39:20. > :39:37.ever Wimbledon serve, in 2010. Nice easy hold. First time he's done

:39:38. > :39:39.that since the second game of the second set. Johnson will serve when

:39:40. > :40:00.they resume for the third set. That's the fastest serves in

:40:01. > :40:07.Wimbledon history. Fastest ever serve was in South Korea.

:40:08. > :40:16.Sam Graf, 163.5 mph. That health and safety territory. There were

:40:17. > :40:20.torrential winds that day. Torrential women's! I've never heard

:40:21. > :40:26.the word torrential preceding the word wind. Coming from behind him,

:40:27. > :40:33.almost like a tornado. Like a wind assisted 100 metres. It's before

:40:34. > :40:36.3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. Reticent to say a sunny afternoon

:40:37. > :40:45.because I don't want to tempt fate, given the fact these two has been on

:40:46. > :40:50.and off so often. Steve Johnson has had a double break on two different

:40:51. > :40:54.occasions in this set. And has both times surrendered one of them back.

:40:55. > :41:04.He cannot make any of those errors in this game. Crucial. 5-4, serving

:41:05. > :41:12.for a 2-1 lead. Just like you was in the ninth game of the third set. He

:41:13. > :41:29.went 0-40 down. Different story this time, winning the first point.

:41:30. > :41:37.He read the short folly, got there in plenty of time, he needed to rip

:41:38. > :41:41.at the ground stroke. He gets here and instead of really hitting the

:41:42. > :41:44.ball which he could have done, tries to lob over a big athletic man on a

:41:45. > :41:59.grass court. Just doesn't happen. Impressive service game from Steve

:42:00. > :42:21.Johnson. Yanked it, he pulled away from it

:42:22. > :42:25.way too quickly, rushed it. Got to keep his nerve. He's got to stick

:42:26. > :42:35.with the plan. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

:42:36. > :42:39.Just like that, Steve Johnson, one or two issues but get it done and

:42:40. > :43:01.leads to- one. OK, Doug Adler, set summary from the

:43:02. > :43:05.third set. What impresses you and what needs to be better? I think the

:43:06. > :43:10.difference in that set was the quality of the Steve Johnson serve.

:43:11. > :43:16.You can see when he got it in how successful he was. Really taking

:43:17. > :43:21.advantage of Dimitrov missing so many first serves. A problem for

:43:22. > :43:24.Dimitrov really in that set is he just got behind, couldn't put in a

:43:25. > :43:28.first serve Cincom he was always training, not a good place to be.

:43:29. > :43:43.Especially against a guy gripping forehands. Dimitrov needs to make a

:43:44. > :43:50.few adjustments, as typically what you want to do when you've lost a

:43:51. > :43:53.few sects. How impressed are you... We know about beforehand, what about

:43:54. > :43:58.the serve, what do you like about the serve and what do you think he

:43:59. > :44:02.can improve on? I like the serve a lot and he mixes it up beautifully,

:44:03. > :44:07.he can throw in the heater, fastball, he can throw in of pace

:44:08. > :44:11.stuff, placement, precision, angle, he can do everything with the serve.

:44:12. > :44:14.Second service very good as well, heavy, from a serving standpoint he

:44:15. > :44:23.has the better serve between the two. One thing Steve Johnson has to

:44:24. > :44:28.be aware of, is when he's hitting the slice backhand, he's got to cut

:44:29. > :44:35.it. If he floated, Dimitrov is going to step around and rip forehands.

:44:36. > :44:42.Day six at Wimbledon. Image of serving, trailing 2-1. -- Dimitrov

:44:43. > :44:44.serving. The last set he lost the serve three times, it's not going to

:44:45. > :44:56.get the job done in this set. He's just beating Dimitrov with pace

:44:57. > :45:03.with the forehand, you feel the weight of that shot. Dimitrov at

:45:04. > :45:06.times has absorbed it very well in the match but at other times not

:45:07. > :45:19.able to really get ahead of the ball.

:45:20. > :45:25.Not quite the Dimitrov that reach the semifinals here two years ago,

:45:26. > :45:36.eating Andy Murray in the semifinals before eventually losing in four

:45:37. > :45:39.sets to Novak Djokovic. What are the main differences in his game, why

:45:40. > :45:44.has he fallen from number eight to number 37 in the world? It's between

:45:45. > :45:51.the years, really, he's certainly got the same skill, he moves as

:45:52. > :45:54.well, but a lot of those matches, close matches, it's winning the big

:45:55. > :46:02.points, he's not winning those points. He's certainly not as

:46:03. > :46:08.confident, look at that backhand he just missed. When he reached the

:46:09. > :46:12.semi he wasn't missing that shot. He was making shots like this in that

:46:13. > :46:16.quarterfinal against Murray. The fear factor is gone, players aren't

:46:17. > :46:22.that threatened by him any more. A lot of times matches are even won

:46:23. > :46:29.before you hit the court because guys are scared of you. Two break

:46:30. > :46:38.points and a second serve, Johnson is in a good place right now. I

:46:39. > :46:43.don't think there's been any time throughout this match, even when

:46:44. > :46:48.Steve Johnson lost the first set, never felt he was playing against

:46:49. > :46:58.someone he was outclassed by. Johnson hasn't done much wrong, he

:46:59. > :47:11.was unlucky to lose that first set. Tough second serve, down 2-1. Break

:47:12. > :47:16.point. He missed it badly. Wild from Dimitrov, who seems out of sorts

:47:17. > :47:28.right now. Not only a setup, a break down at the beginning of the set.

:47:29. > :47:35.Well, Johnson just keeping the ball in the court and letting Dimitrov

:47:36. > :47:39.self implode. No way a semi finalist -- former semifinalist should miss

:47:40. > :47:45.that shot. But the pressure. You've got ten seconds to get inside

:47:46. > :47:50.Dimitrov's head, tell him something, what's he got to do? He's in a bit

:47:51. > :47:54.of a hole here. First thing calmed down, second thing stay in the

:47:55. > :47:55.moment, what has happened to this point means nothing. That's less

:47:56. > :48:18.than ten seconds. On the other side of the net for

:48:19. > :48:22.Steve Johnson it's more of the same, he's played well. Don't let down,

:48:23. > :48:28.keep your foot on the accelerator, go for the jugular, put this guy

:48:29. > :48:32.away. There's no doubt in the mind of Dimitrov, use that to your

:48:33. > :48:56.advantage if you're Steve Johnson. No way he's going to make that shot,

:48:57. > :49:00.that's a whole band a prayer. Johnson sees him going for that

:49:01. > :49:05.swing and says beautiful, keep doing it. He played last year here and

:49:06. > :49:14.Dimitrov won in three straight sets. Already Steve Johnson is in a far

:49:15. > :49:18.better place. Also played in Washington last year, Johnson got

:49:19. > :49:37.the victory in three sets. On the hard courts. Little glimmer of hope

:49:38. > :49:41.here for Grigor Dimitrov. Two hours and 32 minutes of playing time, but

:49:42. > :50:00.it's been a lot longer since these two stepped on court last night.

:50:01. > :50:06.Look how Johnson is moving now that he has got the lead, is feeling

:50:07. > :50:11.really good about himself and everything is coming a lot easier.

:50:12. > :50:15.It's a struggle for Dimitrov, but not for Johnson. The evolution of

:50:16. > :50:24.Johnson's game over the last two or three years, it really has been on a

:50:25. > :50:32.steep upward curve. I'm quite good friends with Steve's coach from USC,

:50:33. > :50:36.Peter Smith. Peter always felt Stevie was a great competitor and

:50:37. > :50:46.really didn't understand why Stevie was even losing matches. Two good

:50:47. > :50:50.serves, Steve Johnson. Bangor you will lose matches when guys hit

:50:51. > :50:54.shots like that, for sure. Steve Johnson consistently, day in, day

:50:55. > :51:01.out, should be at this kind of level. By winning the Nottingham

:51:02. > :51:06.events... His first ever to win. It's done him the power of good. The

:51:07. > :51:16.other thing is as well, when you are ranked 18, 19 in the world, your

:51:17. > :51:21.drawers are much harder. Great volley, got down and dug it out of

:51:22. > :51:27.the grass. The other thing, you are right about the drawers, but every

:51:28. > :51:34.little difference between being 70, 80, 19 the world, maybe even 30. --

:51:35. > :51:36.you are right about the draws. It windows big matches, getting those

:51:37. > :51:46.big points, believing you're going to get them. Gets you into better

:51:47. > :51:51.tournaments. In a macro Steve's playing at a whole different level

:51:52. > :52:01.now than he did two years ago. So is Dimitrov, that's the problem.

:52:02. > :52:04.Opposite directions. I think... In the grand scheme of things, second

:52:05. > :52:08.game of the fourth set, especially with Johnson just having broken, if

:52:09. > :52:13.he can consolidate the break, this could be huge. For the 26-year-old

:52:14. > :52:30.from Southern California. See, that is a shot there is no way

:52:31. > :52:33.Dimitrov can missed that ball. I thought his footwork there as he

:52:34. > :52:38.went to hit it looked a little bit off, as if he wasn't set properly

:52:39. > :52:39.for that kind of shot. It's a backhand, floating in the middle of

:52:40. > :53:00.the court with no pace on it. Johnson gave him an opportunity and

:53:01. > :53:07.Dimitrov didn't take it. 2-0 lead. The American, right now, is the warm

:53:08. > :53:12.favourite against the former world number eight. Here we go, the

:53:13. > :53:17.camping convention get the jackets on. Not because there is rain...

:53:18. > :53:23.Just getting cool. There are one or two spots arriving. To be honest,

:53:24. > :53:33.right now, Dimitrov would probably take a rain break. He'd love to

:53:34. > :53:35.stop, things are not going his way. He's been pretty much shattered

:53:36. > :53:51.mentally as this match has gone on. When he missed that ball in the

:53:52. > :53:56.middle of the court the last game, as we see the ball come-down, quite

:53:57. > :54:05.a cat by the lines person. Quite a catch, tell you what, that's a

:54:06. > :54:10.phenomenal catch. A catch at slip. They're all at it now. The umpires

:54:11. > :54:15.court that straightaway. Goodness me. Budding cricketers and baseball

:54:16. > :54:23.players here. Anyway back to the tennis. Enough of the nonsense. If

:54:24. > :54:39.you are saying it, Mark, it's not nonsense.

:54:40. > :54:46.That a guy who's got nothing to lose. This is when he becomes more

:54:47. > :54:50.dangerous than he's been so far. You saw what happened to him last game,

:54:51. > :54:54.chance to go up break point to get back into the set. He has a ball in

:54:55. > :54:56.the middle of the court and snatches it into the bottom of the net. Looks

:54:57. > :55:20.like he had a bad bounce. Two up. I say it looks like he had a bad

:55:21. > :55:24.bounce because if it looks as though he's moving his feet properly and

:55:25. > :55:28.he's focused, whether the ball bounces funny or not it's not going

:55:29. > :55:37.to affect, but things are not going his way. How has he responded? Not

:55:38. > :55:39.particularly well. I love that the whole mental comparisons between

:55:40. > :55:45.different sports... At the top level in golf there is very little after

:55:46. > :55:52.you get past Jason Day and Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth. It's just

:55:53. > :55:56.strong willed. In tennis as well you've got the upper echelons,

:55:57. > :56:02.Djokovic and Murray and Federer and Nadal, Wawrinka, whoever. If you are

:56:03. > :56:09.going from world ranked number ten down the way to world ranked 50, a

:56:10. > :56:14.lot of it is between the years. 90% of this game at this level you can

:56:15. > :56:21.ask anybody, it's not about hitting forehands or backhands, between the

:56:22. > :56:30.years. A rather limp waving of a Bulgarian flag. Sort of a weak

:56:31. > :56:37.fourth set. They need more from him. Steve Johnson's in control. When you

:56:38. > :56:42.serve like that... I think there might be a B or a wasp. We've

:56:43. > :56:50.already had birds. The ornithology part of this lesson has been taken

:56:51. > :56:56.care of. Is there an aviary for the bees? This is where my school

:56:57. > :57:05.education will be coming in handy. -- varies a bee or wasp.

:57:06. > :57:13.That is the same shot Dimitrov had in the previous service game on

:57:14. > :57:15.30-30. You see Johnson is patient, gets his feet in position, doesn't

:57:16. > :57:47.rush, gets the job done. After watching that point I wonder

:57:48. > :57:52.if Dimitrov really has a game plan right now, I don't think he really

:57:53. > :57:58.has one, I think he feels if he keeps hitting he'll hit someone is,

:57:59. > :58:04.but that's the wrong shot, got him totally out of position. Lob volley

:58:05. > :58:08.over his head. Low percentage play. I don't think he really knows what

:58:09. > :58:21.to do to get back into this match, Dimitrov. A 3-1 lead. Three games

:58:22. > :58:30.away from a place in the next round for Steve Johnson. I think Johnson

:58:31. > :58:37.knows exactly what he wants to do and I don't think Dimitrov has a

:58:38. > :58:42.clue. As got to be careful, my nieces are watching and I said an

:58:43. > :58:55.aviary was for bees. Avery is for birds as well. You could say

:58:56. > :59:10.anything and I would agree. Holes! Holes! Right in the face. -- --

:59:11. > :59:15.Whoa! Immediately apologises. Sheik of the hand. There you go. You are

:59:16. > :59:19.forgiven, just don't do it again. That's cool to be able to interact

:59:20. > :59:22.with the crowd like that. Golfers do it if they hit someone with the golf

:59:23. > :59:36.ball, they give them a signed glove. Maybe if Stevie wins he can give a

:59:37. > :59:43.tower or racket that gentleman. I think that's going a little bit far.

:59:44. > :59:52.Come on now. It's a little bit extreme, he already gave the guy

:59:53. > :59:56.some skin, that's enough. Scrooge. I mean, look at that swinging... To

:59:57. > :00:01.me, Dimitrov was just out there flailing away. By the way behind

:00:02. > :00:09.Dimitrov a couple of umbrellas, the rain is coming back. Guess what...

:00:10. > :00:14.Here we go again, play is suspended. 3.49 in the afternoon. This is very

:00:15. > :00:15.good for Dimitrov, because he was falling away quickly, bad for Steve

:00:16. > :00:28.Johnson. STUDIO: That is when the rain has

:00:29. > :00:32.come down. This is the scene at the moment, the sun is shining, but they

:00:33. > :00:36.still are not uncovering the courts. There may be a threat of rain still

:00:37. > :00:43.to come here at Wimbledon. We will keep you up-to-date. We are hoping

:00:44. > :00:47.we will get clay. On Centre Court, there is clay, and that is live on

:00:48. > :00:52.BBC One, Andy Murray and John Millman. Plenty of sporting

:00:53. > :00:55.superstars in the royal box, enjoying the tennis, and we are

:00:56. > :01:01.going to hear from a few of them. We are going to start with Geoff Hurst,

:01:02. > :01:04.one of the 66 heroes. He has been talking to Gary about being at

:01:05. > :01:10.Wimbledon and the England football team. What do you love about

:01:11. > :01:16.Wimbledon? It is one of the greatest events in the world. It is a sport I

:01:17. > :01:22.watch only second to football, and I really enjoy the sport. To come here

:01:23. > :01:30.to Wimbledon and do it at the top end is rather nice. Did you play?

:01:31. > :01:35.No, mainly cricket and football. I was talking to Gordon Banks, who is

:01:36. > :01:46.gay, and he played quite a bit of tennis in the summer. He is a fan.

:01:47. > :01:51.-- Gordon Banks, who is here. It is really different being here. It's

:01:52. > :01:54.completely different to on the TV. You really get a sense of the

:01:55. > :02:01.performance of the tennis players, their athleticism. It's a great

:02:02. > :02:08.sport. This month is the anniversary, 50 years ago. 66. Do

:02:09. > :02:14.you think about it every day? You think about it a lot, because people

:02:15. > :02:17.tend to... It is quite fresh, because people tell you their

:02:18. > :02:21.memories. You still bump into people who were at the game or tell you

:02:22. > :02:27.fantastic stories of where they were on the day, so it brings it home to

:02:28. > :02:36.you. Especially the goal will stop there were three of them! Some would

:02:37. > :02:42.say two, but we won't get into that. Have you got Scottish parents? Yes.

:02:43. > :02:47.I find it quite strange that you are actually down there being part of

:02:48. > :02:50.that fantastic day the stuff I have to pinch myself. It is talked about

:02:51. > :02:55.regularly, particularly this year. Over the years, people's memories

:02:56. > :03:06.have been one of the most enjoyable parts of winning. This year, it was

:03:07. > :03:15.a much different story at the Euros. It was very poor. Do you feel sad? I

:03:16. > :03:19.felt a bit sad for Roy in the press conference. I must admit. There is

:03:20. > :03:26.really nothing more to say and has been said in the last week by many

:03:27. > :03:32.pundits. One of the most disappointing days we've had a

:03:33. > :03:37.passport for a long time. You were on a hiding to nothing as a manager,

:03:38. > :03:45.won't you? Iron it is a difficult profession, but we know how

:03:46. > :03:52.difficult has been for many years. I don't envy the position. I got the

:03:53. > :03:57.sack from Chelsea in 1981, April the 23rd, 12 o'clock, and those days

:03:58. > :04:01.have changed, because you could earn as much money from a living point of

:04:02. > :04:08.view outside the game is in it, and that has changed dramatically. What

:04:09. > :04:14.did Sir Alf Ramsey have as a manager that subsequent ones haven't had?

:04:15. > :04:18.It's difficult to sum up. He had a system of play, which even at

:04:19. > :04:25.Ipswich. He kept that for the national play, -- team, twin

:04:26. > :04:30.strikers, the discipline was as strong and severe as I've ever

:04:31. > :04:33.experienced, and you'd look at that today and perhaps you'd argue it

:04:34. > :04:38.isn't as strong as it used to be. The other thing I'd definitely say,

:04:39. > :04:49.as a backbone of the team, you look at Banks, wasp, Jimmy Greaves, who

:04:50. > :04:52.would definitely have played if he hadn't been injured, and I think we

:04:53. > :04:59.definitely haven't had that sort of back pain. When you were playing,

:05:00. > :05:04.there were not so many foreign players, so so many youngsters don't

:05:05. > :05:09.get a chance now. You look at West Ham, and so many English people in

:05:10. > :05:13.it. That has changed dramatically. You wonder whether that have an

:05:14. > :05:19.impact on the national team, picking from a smaller base of players. It

:05:20. > :05:25.is sometimes, you try to analyse what has happened recently, and,

:05:26. > :05:29.although I have made comparisons, I think it's very difficult to put

:05:30. > :05:36.your finger on why, on that day, we were absolutely as poor as we were.

:05:37. > :05:42.We talk about a backbone, but you look at the players you have in

:05:43. > :05:46.midfield. You look at somebody like Alan Moore, he was only very young,

:05:47. > :05:59.but as a leader he was tenacious, nobby Stiles... Nobby was only 24.

:06:00. > :06:03.Alan Moore was only 21. He had a passion for playing for his country,

:06:04. > :06:08.the like of which I haven't experienced since then. It was a

:06:09. > :06:12.wonderful combination of experience, world-class players and some very

:06:13. > :06:15.tenacious and hard-working players. You could perhaps argue that we

:06:16. > :06:21.haven't seen that since. Looking at the results, why that hasn't

:06:22. > :06:27.happened. But it is sad and disappointing. Passion is an

:06:28. > :06:32.interesting word to use, relating to 66 and people and fans will often

:06:33. > :06:39.say, it's very different, and are the fans -- players hungry enough?

:06:40. > :06:43.People say very glibly that the passion isn't there and they don't

:06:44. > :06:47.enjoy playing for England as much as their clubs, but there are some

:06:48. > :06:51.fantastic players for our country over the years who have been

:06:52. > :06:53.passionate about playing for our country, so I am not sure that you

:06:54. > :06:59.can necessarily level that accusation. But it is very

:07:00. > :07:04.difficult, from that performance, to assess and analyse on that day just

:07:05. > :07:10.what's gone wrong with a group of players. It's quite astonishing.

:07:11. > :07:16.Does the next manager have to be British or English, Jeff? The top

:07:17. > :07:22.man in the world, foreign or otherwise, would be OK, I used to

:07:23. > :07:26.think. More recently, I am thinking towards having an English person in

:07:27. > :07:29.charge. I've changed my view on that, and that is my view today. I

:07:30. > :07:40.think it should be an integer manager. -- English manager. Really,

:07:41. > :07:46.you are limited to Allardyce, Alan Pardew, not the young guys. That is

:07:47. > :07:51.my view, I think we should get the best person available with the

:07:52. > :07:55.experience to do that. I wish you well in the 50 years celebrations.

:07:56. > :08:01.Men's and women's champions in Wimbledon, who are you thinking? Is

:08:02. > :08:07.it 18 seeds have already? I'm not sure. It would be great to see a

:08:08. > :08:12.Murray- Djokovic final. He is struggling at the moment. It would

:08:13. > :08:16.be great to see. Murray, is previous game, I thought he was fantastic,

:08:17. > :08:21.the most positive performance I've seen from him, really fantastic. If

:08:22. > :08:26.he carries that form, which he is showing throughout the tournament,

:08:27. > :08:29.it looks to me, unless there is a real upset, another Djokovic and

:08:30. > :08:37.Murray final. STUDIO: Always interesting to hear

:08:38. > :08:42.from Sir Geoff. I wonder what David Beckham toss thoughts are. I'm sure

:08:43. > :08:48.Gary will be on his way to try the few words with him. They are under

:08:49. > :08:53.the roof, so play is continuing on Centre Court. Andy Murray is in

:08:54. > :08:59.action against John Millman. Andy Murray has taken the first set 6-3,

:09:00. > :09:04.and he is down 2-1 in the second set. That match is on BBC One.

:09:05. > :09:10.Murray is on Centre Court on BBC One. I am looking at Court Number

:09:11. > :09:16.One. They are just taking the covers off. We are hoping to get Novak

:09:17. > :09:22.Djokovic and hurried back for you here on BBC Two. Sunshine around

:09:23. > :09:27.here once again. -- Novak Djokovic and Sam Querrey. When we get back,

:09:28. > :09:34.Djokovic will be serving to stay in the match. He is 2-1 down against

:09:35. > :09:39.Sam Querrey. Now lets hear from another couple of famous faces in

:09:40. > :09:43.the royal box, two bowlers who have led England's attack over the last

:09:44. > :09:49.decade, Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad. Lovely to have you at

:09:50. > :09:53.Wimbledon today. A bit surprised, because there is an England match, a

:09:54. > :09:58.series involving England, and you are still keen to be part of the

:09:59. > :10:06.one-day squad, Stuart. Summer is bidding for us, gritty -- summer is

:10:07. > :10:12.busy for us, with the crooked. It's great to come to the tennis. We have

:10:13. > :10:16.got a championship game tomorrow at Trent bridge, a great four days to

:10:17. > :10:23.get ourselves ready for what is a huge series towards the end of this

:10:24. > :10:26.summer at Pakistan. You couldn't play at the moment because you have

:10:27. > :10:33.got a stress fracture to your right shoulder? Yes, an unusual injury.

:10:34. > :10:41.The videos keep telling me they haven't seen it in a cricketer

:10:42. > :10:45.before. -- the physios. I will be at Nottingham watching the Lancashire

:10:46. > :10:52.boys take them on. I am still positive I can be fit for the first

:10:53. > :10:57.test. Ranking is all important in this type of sport. The ranking in

:10:58. > :11:01.Test cricket is passing between the two of you. Stuart, you were the

:11:02. > :11:06.world number one, but Jimmy, you have nicked it at the moment.

:11:07. > :11:13.Rankings are really important when you are number one. Different in

:11:14. > :11:16.cricket. In cricket, it is kind of a guide to how consistent you have

:11:17. > :11:22.been. They are not the be all and end all. Me and Stuart both take

:11:23. > :11:28.wickets and they helped us win games. If we do that, we will be

:11:29. > :11:34.near the top of the rankings. How important our events like Wimbledon

:11:35. > :11:39.to help you get away and recharge the batteries? It's brilliant. What

:11:40. > :11:44.a sporting event it is. I've not often have the opportunity. We are

:11:45. > :11:48.normally very busy in the summer. To have the opportunity to come here

:11:49. > :11:53.and what different games... It will be great to watch Andy Murray later

:11:54. > :11:58.on. It's a fantastic spectacle. A nice break. Pakistan is around the

:11:59. > :12:06.corner. Will you be fit for the first test? I am hopeful. The rehab

:12:07. > :12:11.is going really well. Still two weeks away, so plenty of time to try

:12:12. > :12:16.and get fit. I'm hopeful, because things are going so well for the

:12:17. > :12:20.team. We played really well against Sri Lanka. Pakistan will be even

:12:21. > :12:25.tougher. We got beaten by them in October at the Emirates. We want to

:12:26. > :12:29.get our own back. We've got a great opportunity in our own home

:12:30. > :12:34.conditions. We are playing well in Test cricket and we want to continue

:12:35. > :12:41.that. How nifty are you with a tennis racket? Very average! I

:12:42. > :12:48.started to take it up a little bit sort of March time, and it's a

:12:49. > :12:52.really tough sport. It's a great sport to play because it gets you

:12:53. > :12:57.running around and keeps you fit, but there are so many aspects you

:12:58. > :13:01.can make mistakes with which, as a professional sportsman, gets quite

:13:02. > :13:05.frustrating. I played a bit of tennis with Alex Hales, and he is

:13:06. > :13:12.fantastic. Egypt it so hard. He's got all the attributes to be a good

:13:13. > :13:18.tennis player. -- he hit it so hard. He is trying to coach me that it's

:13:19. > :13:22.not going so well. You come here and you just want to get out there and

:13:23. > :13:26.play, and then you do and you realise you are nowhere near as good

:13:27. > :13:31.as these guys! It is an amazing place to come. So much tennis to

:13:32. > :13:34.watch. We can relate to them a little bit, that one-on-one battle

:13:35. > :13:40.that we have with a batsman when you are bowling. It is interesting to

:13:41. > :13:47.try and see those sorts of battles. A great day out. I hope you guys go

:13:48. > :13:51.out and watch how the experts do it for a change. Good luck against

:13:52. > :13:57.Pakistan. Thank you. STUDIO: All athletes love watching

:13:58. > :14:04.other sports, and they are watching Andy Murray at the moment, 6-3, 2-1

:14:05. > :14:09.down in the second set, but they are in the royal box. A bit of a battle

:14:10. > :14:17.in the second set. That match is live over on BBC right now. You can

:14:18. > :14:23.see that the sun is shining. We are hearing no play on outside courts

:14:24. > :14:26.until around 5pm, but more hopeful than Court Number One, where the

:14:27. > :14:31.covers are off, the net is up and the players will be out in a few

:14:32. > :14:36.minutes. We have heard from Jimmy, Stuart and Sir Geoff Hurst, enjoying

:14:37. > :14:40.their time in the royal box. There are Olympians in there as well. It

:14:41. > :14:44.will be a very busy summer coming up. In 34 days' time, all roads will

:14:45. > :15:24.lead to reopen. -- will lead to Rio. Just weeks away from another

:15:25. > :15:30.Olympics in Rio. Can you give us an idea of what you are feeling at the

:15:31. > :15:35.moment? I am overwhelmed with joy. I can't wait to get there. Hopefully

:15:36. > :15:39.another time to create history by becoming another double Olympic

:15:40. > :15:43.champion. Never had one male or female in the boxing, so I'd love to

:15:44. > :15:48.bring that back to Britain. You are the only medallist in the boxing

:15:49. > :15:55.squad in London heading to reopen. I guess you are a senior member. Yes,

:15:56. > :16:00.I've got the most experience, the grand titles, the first time that's

:16:01. > :16:05.been done in boxing. I'm really excited am going into this one. I

:16:06. > :16:11.feel much more rounded, I have the experience. I know what it's like to

:16:12. > :16:16.go to the Olympics. In 2012, I was unsure, didn't know what to expect.

:16:17. > :16:21.This time, I'm full of confidence, fired up and ready to hopefully win

:16:22. > :16:27.some golds. Did I read somewhere that you think the squad might win

:16:28. > :16:33.more gold medals in Rio then you did in London? Yes, the team is strong.

:16:34. > :16:41.I think it's the best team we've had since 1984. It shows how well we are

:16:42. > :16:52.doing with British boxing. Give us a couple of names that people might

:16:53. > :16:55.not be familiar with. This one guy is really good, definitely one to

:16:56. > :17:05.watch out for. Anthony fouler as well, he is a really good prospect.

:17:06. > :17:12.Is his cousin in it as well? I think so.

:17:13. > :17:17.STUDIO: The good luck to nickel and all of the Olympians. The sun is

:17:18. > :17:21.shining here. This is a big moment for Novak Djokovic. This was just

:17:22. > :17:27.moments before going on court, getting himself in the right frame

:17:28. > :17:31.of mind. He knows he's got one game, he's got to hold his serve to stay

:17:32. > :17:37.in this championship, because he is coming out to serve to stay in the

:17:38. > :17:40.match. But he is one of the great competitors, if not the greatest. He

:17:41. > :17:46.will be giving his all against Sam Querrey. The players are on court,

:17:47. > :17:50.warming up. We will be on Court Number One live very soon. We can

:17:51. > :17:57.bring you some results from earlier. Nicolas Mahut will face the winner

:17:58. > :18:00.of Djokovic and Querrey. He came through against his doubles partner

:18:01. > :18:10.today. Rivals today, friends tomorrow. Mahut going through

:18:11. > :18:14.against Herbert. Good friends. Another seed going through is Marin

:18:15. > :18:24.Cilic, the number nine seed from Croatia. Through in straight sets

:18:25. > :18:33.against Lukas Lacko, 63, 6-3, 6-4. He is through to face Kei Nishikori.

:18:34. > :18:37.Alexander Zverev. This match is still a second-round match. Can you

:18:38. > :18:44.believe that on the middle Saturday? The 24th seed, one of the talented

:18:45. > :18:58.teenagers coming through. He came through against me Carl usually. 6-2

:18:59. > :19:03.in the fifth and final set. -- Mikhail. This started at 11am.

:19:04. > :19:10.Angelique Kerber, through in straight sets against Carina

:19:11. > :19:16.Witthoft of Germany. Going well at Wimbledon. And she is through to

:19:17. > :19:23.face this baseline battler, Misaki Doi of Japan, who came through

:19:24. > :19:26.against another German. She came through in straight sets, but there

:19:27. > :19:34.were a lot of long rallies in this match, just like match point. She is

:19:35. > :19:40.through 7-6, 6-3. She will play Angelique Kerber in the next round.

:19:41. > :19:45.The first match completed on Centre Court, under the roof, and Simona

:19:46. > :19:49.Halep, the number five seed, was up against Kiki Bertens. She is a

:19:50. > :19:56.player who got through to the semifinal of the French Open. Halep

:19:57. > :20:00.came through 6-4, 6-3. It was supposed to be tricky, but she came

:20:01. > :20:07.through in straight sets. She will face the winner of Lee's Bonet --

:20:08. > :20:12.Alize Cornet or Madison Keys. Andy Murray is on Centre Court. That

:20:13. > :20:16.match is on BBC One. We are heading over to Court Number One. We saw

:20:17. > :20:23.Novak Djokovic getting in the zone prior to the match. Here is a very

:20:24. > :20:27.nervous Boris Becker. This is such a crucial stage of the match, with

:20:28. > :20:33.Novak Djokovic coming out here to serve to stay in the match. He is

:20:34. > :20:40.two sets to one down, 5-6 down. He served for the set at 5-4 as well.

:20:41. > :20:46.It is a topsy-turvy match. Tim Henman is with Andrew Castle.

:20:47. > :20:52.It has been nervy every step of the way in this fourth set in

:20:53. > :20:59.particular, on court, of court, overnight, that was critical. Two

:21:00. > :21:06.sets down, Novak able to regroup. He came down, he went into a 4-0 lead.

:21:07. > :21:10.Another break, then he came out and wrapped it up. We were thinking it

:21:11. > :21:16.was following the same pattern as his match against Kevin Anderson

:21:17. > :21:21.last year, when he went on to win a third Wimbledon title, his second

:21:22. > :21:26.consecutive, but it wasn't to be. Sam Querrey breaking serve when

:21:27. > :21:32.Djokovic was trying to go two sets all. We are still out here on Court

:21:33. > :21:38.Number One. We should have something of a run at this now. We'll Novak

:21:39. > :21:43.Djokovic, who holds four grand slam championship. Sorry, what a site

:21:44. > :21:49.that is! Finally, some sunshine here on Court Number One. It would be a

:21:50. > :21:55.real shock to the men's draw if the man with the greatest present of all

:21:56. > :22:00.is taken out by Sam Querrey. Nothing great really at Nottingham or

:22:01. > :22:07.Queen's Club, but a former top 20 player. 20 years of age. A best

:22:08. > :22:11.ranking of 17. As a teenager, he was in the top 25 in singles and

:22:12. > :22:16.doubles, and they thought he could be the next big American star.

:22:17. > :22:23.Instead, he settled into four in America, 41st in the world, and

:22:24. > :22:27.perhaps climbing if you can do well here. He hasn't turned into the

:22:28. > :22:33.superstar that many people thought he would. Six foot six and one of

:22:34. > :22:36.the best arms in the business. His father, Mike, was drafted as a

:22:37. > :22:43.professional basketball player by the Detroit tigers. -- baseball

:22:44. > :22:50.player. His natural arm has been the weapon of this match so far. 31

:22:51. > :22:54.aces. Tim Henman, he came through that first match against -- first

:22:55. > :22:59.round match against Lukas Rosol from two sets down. That makes you feel

:23:00. > :23:02.good, when you come back from that sort of situation. He beat Djokovic

:23:03. > :23:15.in Paris in 2012. It gives you that sense of

:23:16. > :23:20.invincibility, when you have won a tight one to begin a tournament.

:23:21. > :23:26.Querrey was looking invincible in the first two sets yesterday, such

:23:27. > :23:30.clean tennis. Very few unforced errors, only dropping four points on

:23:31. > :23:35.his serve in the first set. Every time we've restarted today, and it

:23:36. > :23:42.has been stop start, it is the footwork where Querrey has to work

:23:43. > :23:48.harder. He's a big man, but the footwork can get a bit sticky. Over

:23:49. > :23:51.an hour since they last played. Novak Djokovic, top seed, defending

:23:52. > :25:28.champion, serving to stay in it. A deep ball on the baseline, but

:25:29. > :25:35.Djokovic hasn't got any challenges left in this set.

:25:36. > :25:49.I think I knew that, but you just lost a bit of concentration.

:25:50. > :26:06.A break it is, one which Novak Djokovic must win. -- a breaker.

:26:07. > :26:28.He has got one extra challenge now, Djokovic. Lets see if he needs it.

:26:29. > :26:42.Oh, that's wild! Didn't fancy it in the air, swirling wind. Craig

:26:43. > :26:51.Boynton, coaching Sam Querrey, experienced man. You really are

:26:52. > :28:20.mixed to the shop, did he? -- didn't really commit to the shot, did he?

:28:21. > :28:27.No time with these rain delays to play yourself into any sort of form,

:28:28. > :28:30.to get your feet coordinated, to find out where the middle of the

:28:31. > :30:41.racket exactly is. The longest rally of the match.

:30:42. > :30:49.Admirable resistance from Sam Querrey.

:30:50. > :31:17.Closing in on the biggest win of his career.

:31:18. > :31:29.UMPIRE: Mr Querry is challenging the ball. The ball is called in. I am

:31:30. > :32:01.sure this didn't even touch the line, it is so far inside.

:32:02. > :32:10.So much I contact in this match between Djokovic and Boris Becker. I

:32:11. > :32:15.would have loved to have heard their conversation jeering these breaks,

:32:16. > :32:27.especially the last one. -- during these breaks.

:32:28. > :32:58.He is really on the edge now. Two points for Querry on his serve.

:32:59. > :33:16.That is a way, too. -- that is away. Whatever happens, Querry will have a

:33:17. > :33:22.match point on his own delivery. Against the two-time defending

:33:23. > :33:31.champion, the number one seed. UMPIRE: Mr Querry is challenging the

:33:32. > :33:48.call on the service line. Probably just to buy some extra time. It has

:33:49. > :33:51.been over a year since anyone was able to beat Djokovic at one of

:33:52. > :34:21.these major championships. He's done it! A massive win for Sam

:34:22. > :34:31.Querrey. A massive shop for Wimbledon 2016. -- a massive shock.

:34:32. > :35:04.There will be no Novak Djokovic in week two at Wimbledon.

:35:05. > :35:22.No doubt, the enquiry will take place for Novak Djokovic, who made

:35:23. > :35:38.many more mistakes than we are used to.

:35:39. > :35:59.But let's not take away anything from the effort of Sam Querrey.

:36:00. > :36:06.Well, a stop- start a there are indeed on Court Number One, the

:36:07. > :36:14.biggest shock of the tournament so far. Sam Querrey gets the job done.

:36:15. > :36:19.Quite superb. He advances to the fourth round, and Djokovic is gone

:36:20. > :36:24.from the Men's Singles. Let's talk to the winner.

:36:25. > :36:30.A difficult match but the result was simple - you have beaten the world

:36:31. > :36:39.number one. Could you sum up the emotions Quint smack -- the

:36:40. > :36:44.emotions? I was happy to get through, and that is about it. This

:36:45. > :36:50.is a player who has not gone out in the third round since 2009. How did

:36:51. > :36:53.you do it where others could not? Yellow like I played the break

:36:54. > :36:58.points really well. Every time we had a break point, I was able to

:36:59. > :37:01.come with a big serve, and in the end, I fought the tie-breaker and

:37:02. > :37:13.got a couple of loose errors, and that was it. Overnight, how

:37:14. > :37:16.concerned were you that you were giving him the chance to regroup and

:37:17. > :37:23.regain that laments them, because we know how mentally strong he is? The

:37:24. > :37:26.first format games, then we had another rain delay, he got to

:37:27. > :37:35.regroup. He is so amazing, arguably one of the best, on the weighted

:37:36. > :37:40.possibly being the best ever. How far can you go in the rest of

:37:41. > :37:45.Wimbledon, do you think is Mike I am taking it one round at a time. I

:37:46. > :37:51.want to be happy with this right now and look forward to the next round a

:37:52. > :37:56.little bit. Congratulations, Sam. SUE BARKER: What a massive shock for

:37:57. > :38:00.Wimbledon, and a massive shock for this sport. The man who holds all

:38:01. > :38:06.four grand slam titles and has looked unbeatable in recent years,

:38:07. > :38:09.he has gone out in the third round to this man, who looks inspired

:38:10. > :38:13.here. We have seen him over the years and we know he can play well

:38:14. > :38:17.on grass, but this year he has come in a different player. The big serve

:38:18. > :38:27.as always been there, but he is moving so much better, and he is

:38:28. > :38:30.doing something he never did before in these championships, he came back

:38:31. > :38:33.from two sets down to win from 12-10 in the fifth. He took his chances

:38:34. > :38:36.when they mattered. We thought he might get tight on the match point,

:38:37. > :38:39.but he didn't come and he held firm and he has pulled off the biggest

:38:40. > :38:46.result of his career. A well done from Novak Djokovic, and I would

:38:47. > :38:49.like to see what Novak has to say in his press conference. I don't know

:38:50. > :38:53.whether it is an illness or an injury, but he didn't look like he

:38:54. > :38:59.was all are mac. Certainly not be Djokovic we have seen in previous

:39:00. > :39:04.championships. Sam is the man on Court Number One today. We will hear

:39:05. > :39:08.a lot more from him. This news will be hitting all around Wimbledon,

:39:09. > :39:12.upon the big hill and on Centre Court as well, because they will put

:39:13. > :39:19.the results are on the scoreboard on Centre Court, but play continues

:39:20. > :39:25.over on Centre Court. Andy Murray is there. He is one set up and he is

:39:26. > :39:29.serving for 5-4. I get a feeling there is a buzz around Centre Court.

:39:30. > :39:34.I bet they have put that result. Murray will not have missed it,

:39:35. > :39:40.neither will Ivan Lendl. That has made this tournament very

:39:41. > :39:46.interesting indeed. 6-3, five - four Murray recon think about that. He

:39:47. > :39:52.has a job to do. What a story this is. Murray is in the other half, but

:39:53. > :39:58.Federer is in Djokovic's half of the draw. It makes it very in to

:39:59. > :40:08.resting. Sam Querrey is through, and I am sure someone who will be

:40:09. > :40:12.delighted with that is Nicolas Mahut, who came through in four sets

:40:13. > :40:17.against his doubles partner, Herbert. It is now Nicolas Mahut who

:40:18. > :40:22.will play Sam Querrey at the very top of the draw. It is Querry

:40:23. > :40:32.against Nicolas Mahut, not Novak Djokovic. Well, well! Tim has made

:40:33. > :40:37.it here. What a shock. First, well done to Sam Querrey. He held his

:40:38. > :40:41.nerve when it mattered. Very much. There were so many different

:40:42. > :40:48.scenarios and aspects to this match. When you saw how he played in the

:40:49. > :40:53.two sets yesterday. He won it in a tie-break, 8-6. He was waiting for

:40:54. > :40:59.the level to drop, and it did. That was when the first signs of Djokovic

:41:00. > :41:02.not engaging mentally, 4-1 down in the second set. He was serving and

:41:03. > :41:06.volleying half-heartedly. We then had the rain delay and had to come

:41:07. > :41:10.back today. Then you felt that Querry was aware he had something to

:41:11. > :41:15.lose, and he lost the first four or five games in the first set. It was

:41:16. > :41:19.difficult for both players to get rhythm, because we had so many

:41:20. > :41:23.different delays, coming on and going off again. Once it got to that

:41:24. > :41:26.end of the fourth set, you felt that when Djokovic was serving for the

:41:27. > :41:31.set, this was the moment he would turn it around. For me, it was

:41:32. > :41:36.always Querry's belief that he could hang in there and pull off the

:41:37. > :41:40.upset. All credit to him. What about Djokovic? Your commentary box is

:41:41. > :41:46.close to the court. He didn't look well, did he? He was talking a lot

:41:47. > :41:54.with his box, particularly Boris. To me, he looked ill. I don't know. For

:41:55. > :41:57.me, if I was going to question something, it was more mental than

:41:58. > :42:01.physical. There was a lot of eye contact in the box, as Andrew

:42:02. > :42:06.mentioned. We have seen over the years, he is so clear in his mind,

:42:07. > :42:13.and his consistency in the majors has been unbelievable, whereas

:42:14. > :42:17.today, it was so are and down. Today in practice, he did not want to

:42:18. > :42:22.engage with it. Normally, he would be fired up and ready to go. It will

:42:23. > :42:26.be interesting to see what he has to say in the press conference, I'm

:42:27. > :42:30.sure. At the end, he gave Sam the thumbs up and said well done, but it

:42:31. > :42:35.was a bizarre performance, because we have seen for so many years how

:42:36. > :42:38.good and consistent he has been in the big events, and we haven't seen

:42:39. > :42:42.a performance like this from Djokovic for a long time. From

:42:43. > :42:48.Querry's point of view, you have to give yourself the opportunity. 31

:42:49. > :42:53.aces. Djokovic is possibly the best return in the history of the game.

:42:54. > :42:57.To keep going for it in the important moments, it's an

:42:58. > :43:02.unbelievable victory for him. What a great opportunity for the top half

:43:03. > :43:06.of the draw. Those guys with the big serves, they are not easy to play

:43:07. > :43:11.because you do not get a lot of red and don't get your racket on the

:43:12. > :43:16.ball. It is hard to keep your concentration in matches like that.

:43:17. > :43:19.Absolutely. It puts pressure on your server if he is holding serve

:43:20. > :43:24.consistently. He is serving aces. We were looking for that reaction

:43:25. > :43:28.today. Djokovic looked like he would respond by getting that third set,

:43:29. > :43:33.but Querry was able to keep hanging in there in the important moments.

:43:34. > :43:37.In the tie-break, he kept the first serve percentage up and when he got

:43:38. > :43:41.the opportunity in the tie-break, he was obviously pretty relieved to get

:43:42. > :43:46.over the finishing line. We saw it with Serena at the US Open, that the

:43:47. > :43:53.pressure got to her, maybe the pressure of holding all four. When

:43:54. > :43:56.Boris joined us at the Queen's Club, he talked about how everyone since

:43:57. > :44:00.the Australian was going on about, you will win all four by winning the

:44:01. > :44:06.French. The pressure is on and it has got to get to you at some point.

:44:07. > :44:11.He is human. He is a student of the game, and obviously to have that

:44:12. > :44:17.achievement is great. To win four in a row. Boris says you can only worry

:44:18. > :44:22.about the next match, and that is what he has tried to do, but it was

:44:23. > :44:27.a big dip in performance in terms of the level that Djokovic has been

:44:28. > :44:32.playing at, and he is human. It wasn't easy, it was pretty swirly

:44:33. > :44:37.there, fund on, you have got to warm up again, try to find your timing.

:44:38. > :44:42.The rhythm the back of your court -- the court, there are many variables.

:44:43. > :44:46.We have seen the top players come through those matches so often, and

:44:47. > :44:50.that is what makes them great champions, but today was one

:44:51. > :44:54.occasion when he was not able to do it. Let's look at the statistics

:44:55. > :45:03.which show what a significant shock this was here. There we are. The

:45:04. > :45:15.first Wimbledon loss in 17 matches. The first defeat in 31 Grand Slam

:45:16. > :45:22.matches. The first time that he has lost in the third round since 2009 -

:45:23. > :45:25.that is how dominant he has been. It has been an incredible run, and we

:45:26. > :45:29.obviously reflect on the last 12 months of majors, but when you go

:45:30. > :45:32.over the last three or four years, how he has dominated and finished

:45:33. > :45:37.number one player in the world, it is incredible. It is the first

:45:38. > :45:41.disappointing loss that he has had in a big tournament. When you bring

:45:42. > :45:44.it into the context of this event, we were just catching a glimpse of

:45:45. > :45:48.Centre Court with Andy Murray, and it was pretty obvious that the

:45:49. > :45:53.result will have come up on the screen. The bars. It is not ideal

:45:54. > :45:59.when you are trying to concentrate on your own job, up one set and

:46:00. > :46:12.serving 5-4 for the second. For that to NEM pact on Andy -- for that to

:46:13. > :46:17.have an impact on Andy... It makes a big impact on the top half of the

:46:18. > :46:23.draw. There will be a certain Mr Federer with his feet up today

:46:24. > :46:27.thinking, that is interesting. Yes, there are lots of people who will

:46:28. > :46:31.fancy their chances. Certainly, Federer is looking to play himself

:46:32. > :46:38.into form. You have that section with Federer, Johnson, Cilic and

:46:39. > :46:43.Nishikori. Federer serves well. When you look at the section above, you

:46:44. > :46:49.have Milos Raonic on Centre Court this afternoon later. He played well

:46:50. > :46:53.at Queen's, getting to the finals. One of those players is going to get

:46:54. > :46:57.through to the final. Federer is the one who has the form and history

:46:58. > :47:02.here, but you have to wonder if there will be a much bigger surprise

:47:03. > :47:15.finals. Steve Johnson is good on grass. E won at Nottingham. -- he

:47:16. > :47:19.won. You feel that with the year that Roger has had, he had to have

:47:20. > :47:23.the knee operation after the Australian, his first surgery in his

:47:24. > :47:30.career, and the rehabilitation after that. He has had back problems as

:47:31. > :47:35.well. Here's another one who hasn't been able to get a lot of momentum

:47:36. > :47:39.or rhythm in tournament play. On the grass in Stuttgart, he got some

:47:40. > :47:43.matches under his belt and looked like he was playing better and

:47:44. > :47:48.better against Evans, but this is a step up in class. Having said that,

:47:49. > :47:52.when UCD number one player in the world doll out of the top half, they

:47:53. > :48:07.are going to be keen to take advantage of that. I am hearing that

:48:08. > :48:14.Murray is odds-on to win Wimbledon. I think it was odds-on that we would

:48:15. > :48:17.stay in Europe as well! It is a two horse race and you have to prove it

:48:18. > :48:22.on the day. Andy has been so good as well. Djokovic has dominated and is

:48:23. > :48:26.clearly the number one player in the world, but I think Andy has

:48:27. > :48:29.separated himself from the others, so he was my favourite before the

:48:30. > :48:35.tournament and certainly my favourite now that Djokovic has gone

:48:36. > :48:40.out. That match is still on today. We are still a long way from the

:48:41. > :48:46.title. As far as Sam Querrey goes, he now has to regroup and say, look,

:48:47. > :48:51.I may have done that, but now I have to concentrate on my next match. You

:48:52. > :48:55.cannot dip in form because he is up against a player who plays well on

:48:56. > :49:01.grass, Nicolas Mahut. It is good to have gotten that match out of the

:49:02. > :49:05.way. Tomorrow he will be able to enjoy the win, but he then has to

:49:06. > :49:10.move forward and think about the next opponent. Nicolas Mahut knows

:49:11. > :49:15.his way around the grass court. I saw him play the first round at

:49:16. > :49:20.Queen's against Andy, I think it was too tie-break sets. It was quality

:49:21. > :49:24.tennis. He won a grass court tournament before that. It is one of

:49:25. > :49:31.those that, sometimes you reaction that can be negative. There can be a

:49:32. > :49:35.downturn and it is tough to back it up. Querry has been around, and

:49:36. > :49:40.experienced campaigner, so it is a tough match to pick. The match

:49:41. > :49:46.point, that will be a point he will want to see time and again, when he

:49:47. > :49:51.put out the great man, Novak Djokovic. He had a chance to get a

:49:52. > :49:55.bit tight in this, didn't he? He was looking for the big serve to finish.

:49:56. > :50:04.He was relieved when this forehand went wide. You have to feel for

:50:05. > :50:11.Novak Djokovic. You know he is going to bounce back strongly. Certainly,

:50:12. > :50:15.and there are so many big events. He will move forward after this

:50:16. > :50:22.tournament. You have the Great Britain- Serbia Davis Cup tie. Then

:50:23. > :50:26.you have the Olympics in Rio, and then the US Open. It is a busy

:50:27. > :50:30.schedule, but first and foremost, Djokovic will be massively

:50:31. > :50:33.disappointed to have gone out of Wimbledon. As soon as we hear from

:50:34. > :50:37.Novak Djokovic in the press conference, we will bring that. Tim,

:50:38. > :50:42.thank you. We know Novak Djokovic has gone out, that is the big story

:50:43. > :50:48.of the Championships. Andy Murray is on Centre Court at the moment, under

:50:49. > :50:52.the roof, and 5-5. Millman has broken back and fought back, so

:50:53. > :50:57.Murray still has some work to do. That is live on BBC One. We have a

:50:58. > :51:06.two-time champion on trouble on Court Number Two. Petra Kvitova is

:51:07. > :51:16.one set down and in a second set tie-break Ekaterina Makarova. -- a

:51:17. > :51:23.second set tie-break set Ekaterina Makarova. Let's join the commentary

:51:24. > :51:26.team. At the moment, Makarova looks the

:51:27. > :51:34.more confident. That has been the story of the match. 39 unforced

:51:35. > :51:44.errors from Petra. Last night, after the holdover, Makarova won the first

:51:45. > :51:59.set. To that of a broker back. Since then, -- Kvitova broke back. She

:52:00. > :52:02.looks the steadier, Sam. It is windy. They have been on and off the

:52:03. > :52:12.court, longer breaks, shorter breaks. Three times they have been

:52:13. > :52:34.on and off. They started last night. Gathering again here.

:52:35. > :52:48.She had that sinking feeling as she turned around, Kvitova. Her coach on

:52:49. > :52:57.the right. It has been a stressful appointment, hasn't it? She has been

:52:58. > :53:09.so streaky out here. Well done. Use that sparingly but effectively. She

:53:10. > :53:14.has played well in patches. She has the bigger strike, the bigger

:53:15. > :53:44.arsenal, but for me, it has been all crisis management.

:53:45. > :53:52.So much time for curricula. The wind may have been a factor. It has been

:53:53. > :53:57.an error- strewn match. With all these breaks, really, Kvitova is a

:53:58. > :54:04.high-performance sports car wherever thing has to be absolutely right.

:54:05. > :54:07.When it is, she can win Grand Slams. Makarova has been very solid, she

:54:08. > :54:16.has played through the centre of the court. She has played a smart match,

:54:17. > :54:17.served very consistently. She occasionally doesn't back herself in

:54:18. > :54:46.these kinds of contests. She surely has to put pressure on

:54:47. > :54:56.Makarova. It's just not happening. She has a history of losing matches

:54:57. > :55:01.she should win. She was a quarterfinalist here a couple of

:55:02. > :55:04.years ago, when she beat Radwanska. That was a case in point. She is two

:55:05. > :55:53.points away here from a huge win. That is well played. Much simpler

:55:54. > :55:57.when they first serve goes in. But the way she has been out here this

:55:58. > :56:00.afternoon, and yesterday, I think she has been fractionally better

:56:01. > :56:06.today than yesterday. You would not trust her to hit a barn door from

:56:07. > :56:08.five paces, would you? These two serves could do the trick for my

:56:09. > :56:45.caravan. -- for Makarova. They're rather the nerves. 64 mph on

:56:46. > :56:48.that. No velocity at all. There is her coach, she has seen it before,

:56:49. > :57:06.maybe suspected it would happen again.

:57:07. > :57:11.Just enough stability there. And here is match point for Ekaterina

:57:12. > :57:53.Makarova. She's got it! A massive win.

:57:54. > :57:56.Makarova has been in the top ten in the world only a year ago, but she

:57:57. > :58:01.has just fallen away from the big time. She is back in it after taking

:58:02. > :58:07.out the double champion here, and a real threat to win the title, Petra

:58:08. > :58:12.Kvitova. You feel like she would be pulling a rabbit out of a hat. She

:58:13. > :58:16.has had a poor season and a bucket load of unforced errors, 43 in

:58:17. > :58:22.total. Makarova played a smart game, on and off the court. Very concise

:58:23. > :58:28.and consistent. There were a few who thought that Kvitova could have a

:58:29. > :58:33.run, but very difficult when you come in with so many losses behind

:58:34. > :58:39.you. She has done not a lot of this years. Quarterfinalist in my MA,

:58:40. > :58:42.where she beat Kvitova. Quarterfinalist in Eastbourne. She

:58:43. > :58:49.has only won two titles in her career. One of them was here in

:58:50. > :58:54.2010. She has made it through to the last 32. Makarova the winner, 7-5,

:58:55. > :59:00.7-6. SUE BARKER: Another shock out there. On Court Number Two. It seems

:59:01. > :59:04.as though all the champions are falling. We will have a very

:59:05. > :59:08.different second week here at Wimbledon. New names are emerging,

:59:09. > :59:12.and new match ups that we will be looking forward to in the second

:59:13. > :59:15.week. It has just been one seed going out after another right the

:59:16. > :59:21.way through this tournament. The biggest shock of all happened a

:59:22. > :59:28.short while ago on number one Court, when Novak Djokovic, the holder of

:59:29. > :59:31.all four grand slam titles was beaten in four sets by the big

:59:32. > :59:38.serving American Sam Querrey. That error proved costly. Querry is

:59:39. > :59:42.through in four sets. Novak Djokovic, who did not look engaged,

:59:43. > :59:46.we don't know what was wrong or the reason for it, but he was totally

:59:47. > :59:55.outplayed by Querry. Two sets to love down last night. He had a

:59:56. > :59:59.chance, served for the fourth set at 5-4 but was broken, and then Querry

:00:00. > :00:04.took his chance. What a story this is, everyone talking about it at

:00:05. > :00:07.Wimbledon. The person who looked unbeatable in the majors is out in

:00:08. > :00:14.the third round, the first time he has lost at this stage of the

:00:15. > :00:18.tournament since 2009. His reign at the top in the Grand Slams is over,

:00:19. > :00:22.and Querry is the man everyone is talking about here. Sam Querrey is

:00:23. > :00:28.the man who is through to the next round. Another American through.

:00:29. > :00:34.They are going well - Steve Johnson, who has been so impressive on the

:00:35. > :00:39.grass court. He is a big hitter and he is through against Grigor

:00:40. > :00:46.Dimitrov. He is through in four sets. So Johnson goes through here

:00:47. > :00:54.at Wimbledon. That is what has been happening.

:00:55. > :01:04.Serving for it again, he has won be first set against John Millman, that

:01:05. > :01:12.match is on BBC One. We are heading back to Court One, and I wonder how

:01:13. > :01:19.the number nine seed is feeling, she is up against it here. She has

:01:20. > :01:31.already lost her serve. Are we in for another shock? Plenty of

:01:32. > :01:40.expectation on the shoulders. Recently broken into the world top

:01:41. > :01:49.ten, already a break down. Couple of unforced errors in that service

:01:50. > :01:57.going. Mis-hit does not help matters.

:01:58. > :02:12.Slow start for Madison, making many unforced errors early on. Making

:02:13. > :02:15.zero winners. Excuse me, one a winner and zero unforced errors, she

:02:16. > :02:19.is really just getting the ball back into play. Madison, right now she is

:02:20. > :02:38.misfiring. That is how to win a point. That

:02:39. > :02:45.will help settle the nerves down for Madison. If she can get a few points

:02:46. > :02:53.each game on her serve, she has done a great job, using her serve so well

:02:54. > :03:00.on the grass. Mixing it up with a slicer, has a very cute serve. Not

:03:01. > :03:11.sure able to handle both spins coming at them.

:03:12. > :03:22.She is enjoying her highest seeding at a Grand Slam at Wimbledon. She

:03:23. > :03:23.began her year outside the top ten, she was the 15th seed at the

:03:24. > :03:43.Australian Open. She is pressing early. Not quite

:03:44. > :03:48.finding her range. Not at all. One of the problems with Madison, in

:03:49. > :03:59.between shock, when things are not going well, to get more margin and

:04:00. > :04:08.more spin -- in between shot. Firmly struck. She knew where she wanted it

:04:09. > :04:29.to go. Chance to hold serve. Get a first game on the board.

:04:30. > :04:41.Gets herself on the board, that might settle her nerves, the first

:04:42. > :04:46.holder of serve for Madison Keys. But Cornet is leading to- one in the

:04:47. > :04:55.opening set. You are very close to Madison. Is relishing having broken

:04:56. > :05:02.into the top ten? Absolutely. With that comes more pressure, but it had

:05:03. > :05:06.been 17 years since an American had debuted in the top ten and four

:05:07. > :05:11.years people were talking about Madison and maybe Sloan Stevens, is

:05:12. > :05:20.able to accomplish that, as well. She has embraced it and has done a

:05:21. > :05:25.very nice job of relishing it. It is a huge feat to get into the top ten,

:05:26. > :05:30.but also hungry for more. Very comfortable with where she is. Her

:05:31. > :05:35.career and how she is playing. Serena Williams, she was the last

:05:36. > :05:40.American player... Get a macro that is so crazy. Madison could not

:05:41. > :05:50.believe it, when she had been told she had broken into the top ten. --

:05:51. > :05:55.that is so crazy. She has something to live up to, and she has got to

:05:56. > :06:21.come from behind, as well. Trailing 2-1 and a break down.

:06:22. > :06:33.Double fault from both players. You take every free point that you can

:06:34. > :07:02.get. She hit so deep with that forehand,

:07:03. > :07:07.Keys. Did a better job of getting more rotation on her shots, but

:07:08. > :07:12.still not timing it perfectly. The more shots she can hit the more

:07:13. > :07:35.comfortable she can get out here, the better.

:07:36. > :07:49.That is better. She is starting to work the points better. Cornet will

:07:50. > :07:53.have to focus on her depth in this match, try to get her balls a bit

:07:54. > :08:17.deeper in the court and try to push Madison back behind the baseline.

:08:18. > :08:23.Fairly disgusted with herself, double fault at the worst possible

:08:24. > :08:30.time, handing break points to your opponent.

:08:31. > :09:38.Cornet wants a look at this. It looked well in. Very big second

:09:39. > :09:44.serve, 69 mph, and well inside the baseline, not even close. Touch of

:09:45. > :09:53.desperation on the break points, but it means we are all level and Keys

:09:54. > :09:59.has broken back. It gives Madison a chance to hit the reset button,

:10:00. > :10:00.starting again now. Slow start for two games, but now starting to find

:10:01. > :10:12.her range. We know she can be a feisty

:10:13. > :10:17.competitor, she often brings drama to the court. Drama was the first

:10:18. > :10:21.thing that came to my mind when you were saying that. Saw some

:10:22. > :10:29.incredible antics at the French Open with cramping and getting injury

:10:30. > :10:34.time-outs. And from Cornet, and incredible over the top celebration

:10:35. > :10:44.when she eventually won that drawn-out match, which caused a lot

:10:45. > :11:17.of controversy. Much quicker service going for Keys. -- service game.

:11:18. > :11:25.That was older friends from Cornet and the punches kept coming from the

:11:26. > :11:38.Keys. -- that was all defence from Cornet. Keys moves ahead. The

:11:39. > :11:44.forehands, getting a better position, more spin, most

:11:45. > :11:53.importantly, that helps her find her range and her targets better, and so

:11:54. > :11:56.much power. Almost every match Madison registers a couple of miles

:11:57. > :12:02.per hour faster than all of her opponents. And on this surface where

:12:03. > :12:08.it is so fast and the balls are skidding, it is very hard to control

:12:09. > :12:14.your own ground strokes. She has been on the scene for a long time.

:12:15. > :12:20.Played her first WTA match at the age of just 14. When such big things

:12:21. > :12:25.are expected of you at such a young age, she has had to cope with a lot

:12:26. > :12:30.of expectation and a lot of predictions will stop all of which

:12:31. > :12:39.she is helping one day will come true. Isco has opened up in the

:12:40. > :12:47.Gotham Path, as well. -- this draw has opened up in the second half, as

:12:48. > :12:55.well. But still a lot of quality players, especially for this

:12:56. > :12:56.section. The winner will play Halep and then most likely Angelique

:12:57. > :13:39.Kerber. LAUGHTER

:13:40. > :13:44.She keeps hammering away. Madison has so much time in this match,

:13:45. > :13:46.especially when Cornet gets the ball short, she's able to dictate play

:13:47. > :14:13.almost every point. The second time we have seen Cornet

:14:14. > :14:28.import the drop shot and both times Keys has won the points -- employ

:14:29. > :14:39.the drop shot. She is such a good move.

:14:40. > :14:46.And it is a change of pace in those forehands, suddenly steps on the

:14:47. > :14:49.accelerator and gives it much more. And her footwork has got better

:14:50. > :14:53.compared to the first two games and now she is in position with her body

:14:54. > :15:00.weight going forward, with just about every ground stroke she is

:15:01. > :15:26.hitting, Madison. Cornet has got to get more on her own ground shots.

:15:27. > :15:40.A break to love and those points very much won by Keys. So easy to

:15:41. > :15:43.see when Madison is on and playing well, why people have expected big

:15:44. > :15:49.things from her, especially in the United States. Great technique,

:15:50. > :15:54.great athlete, big serve and amazing power off the ground. It has taken

:15:55. > :15:59.her a bit longer than expected to harness it all and to learn to play

:16:00. > :16:00.points but you can't deny the natural talent and athleticism that

:16:01. > :16:34.she possesses. Not quite deep enough from Cornet,

:16:35. > :16:40.Madison with her body weight going forward. A little too close, but she

:16:41. > :16:50.made it. Far too short, always going to pounce on that. They are a bit

:16:51. > :16:55.unlucky to be sitting out of the sunshine up there. We have not seen

:16:56. > :17:03.much of it. I do not see any clouds at the moment, it is amazing. The

:17:04. > :17:06.Denon say summer has arrived yet. -- we dare not say summer has arrived

:17:07. > :17:36.yet. LAUGHTER Wonderful. Really starting to motor.

:17:37. > :17:45.12 points in a row, Madison has won, incredible Street. -- Street. She

:17:46. > :18:03.started off shakily, began the match with a double fault.

:18:04. > :18:15.And she takes a 5-2 lead. What a kick there was on that serve,

:18:16. > :18:21.creating so many problems. So after you get plays that specialise in one

:18:22. > :18:25.serve for another, maybe a player who likes a slice serve, so you know

:18:26. > :18:31.in a tense moment they will probably come round the outside. Truly,

:18:32. > :18:35.Madison is one of the few players. Serena Williams has all of the

:18:36. > :18:39.different service, whether slicing it away from her opponent, and then

:18:40. > :18:44.gets an incredible kick on her serve, as well, and not many players

:18:45. > :18:56.have that ability on the women's tour to do that with their serve --

:18:57. > :19:01.Serena Williams has all of the different service. What about

:19:02. > :19:12.coaching? She's pretty good about it. Most important is to keep it

:19:13. > :19:18.simple. She's not a player... Oh! There are the clouds. We spoke too

:19:19. > :19:31.soon. She's very hard-working, Madison. The hard work so far paying

:19:32. > :19:33.off. Into the top ten, ninth seed. And now Cornet is serving to stay in

:19:34. > :19:59.this first set. Double fault number three. She might

:20:00. > :20:06.well puff out her cheeks, she needs to get her going together pretty

:20:07. > :20:16.quickly. -- her game together pretty quickly.

:20:17. > :20:41.The serve from Cornet just served a streak -- just stopped a streak of

:20:42. > :20:44.18 straight points by Madison. And has not made an unforced error now

:20:45. > :21:33.since the fourth game. She has cut down on them.

:21:34. > :21:44.All of a sudden. Another area of her game which has improved so much, the

:21:45. > :21:50.return, and putting it back into play, the last two returns, that was

:21:51. > :21:57.more like the old Madison. That would collect snow, given the

:21:58. > :22:05.weather we have had, that would not be unlikely. The game goes to

:22:06. > :22:15.Cornet, but Keys still has the chance to serve for the opening set.

:22:16. > :22:24.The coach and train there of Manson. They read good mix. Thomas is more

:22:25. > :22:31.disciplined and serious, Scott is more laid-back. -- trainer. He has

:22:32. > :23:20.also worked with rear Sharapova. Beautifully wrong-footed Cornet. The

:23:21. > :23:26.second serve of Madison, you can see how high this kicks up, Cornet is

:23:27. > :23:30.making contact above her shoulders, very tough for opponents to get the

:23:31. > :23:44.upper hand even when returning the second serve of Keys.

:23:45. > :23:52.She was in the right position at the net. She had the whole court, one of

:23:53. > :23:57.the few points that Cornet has been in control of, and it was not a good

:23:58. > :24:39.enough for -- volley. That will hand Keys set point.

:24:40. > :24:45.Cornet is yet to drop a set at Wimbledon this year, came through in

:24:46. > :24:49.straight sets in both rounds. But she really had to guts it out in the

:24:50. > :25:32.last match. That is a smart serve, right after

:25:33. > :25:37.the double fault, getting the serve to curve into the body, very safe,

:25:38. > :25:49.takes the pressure off her having to hit her second. Set point number

:25:50. > :25:55.two. The errors seem to be creeping in at the wrong time. Definitely a

:25:56. > :26:06.bit tighter, trying to serve the set out, that she was a couple of

:26:07. > :26:13.service games ago. That return of serve did not feel as if it was

:26:14. > :26:19.under control. Somehow the angle has earned Cornet break back point.

:26:20. > :26:32.UMPIRE: Miss Keys is challenging the call.

:26:33. > :26:54.Oh! Hawk-Eye says yes. Cornet cannot believe it. Seriously, how can you

:26:55. > :26:58.see? Cannot argue with Hawk eye too much. That is effectively what the

:26:59. > :27:31.chair umpire might have said. The screamer from Madison Keys. --

:27:32. > :27:36.scream. Cornet let her off the hook, had a couple of short balls, was

:27:37. > :27:41.making shots in, and then had one to the forehand with not enough power

:27:42. > :27:45.and Madison made her pay. The bit more blustery down there, as well.

:27:46. > :28:26.-- a bit. Better from Cornet in that rally.

:28:27. > :28:31.She likes to wear down her opponents. I'm not sure she meant to

:28:32. > :28:36.make that ball so short, but it was perfect. She was well behind the

:28:37. > :28:41.baseline and it did not bounce up. As you said, it is much breezy out

:28:42. > :28:58.there, play is more difficult for these two. -- more breezy. We spoke

:28:59. > :29:07.about the difficulty Madison had of closing her game out the other

:29:08. > :29:20.night. I wonder if some of those Fx are lingering around. Well, that

:29:21. > :29:22.helps. Cornet likes to work herself up into a lather, I'm never sure if

:29:23. > :29:44.it helps. Oh! Welcomer she opened up her

:29:45. > :29:53.shoulders so much, telegraphed where the forehand was going. -- well, she

:29:54. > :29:59.opened up her shoulders. Third break point for Cornet, with Keys at the

:30:00. > :30:15.other end battling to serve out the set.

:30:16. > :30:22.Coming back on serve in this opening set. It wasn't the prettiest of

:30:23. > :30:39.games by either player, but Cornet gets back on track. Keys, 5-4. I

:30:40. > :30:45.mentioned the second round match against RAA rani, she was on court

:30:46. > :30:49.for more than two hours and it was a gruelling match. Eventually she came

:30:50. > :30:56.through in straight sets. It was a good win for her. She has only

:30:57. > :31:05.beaten Sara Errani once before. It was good for her -- it was not very

:31:06. > :31:15.good for her preparation for Wimbledon. Keys came in with her run

:31:16. > :31:19.to the title in Birmingham. How lovely to see that blue sky up

:31:20. > :31:22.above. Hopefully, this match will go through uninterrupted. Such a long

:31:23. > :31:27.wait for the players to even get this match underway. Cornet,

:31:28. > :31:33.probably very happy with the rain yesterday. It gave her another day

:31:34. > :31:47.off and more time for her body to recover for today's match. So, the

:31:48. > :31:49.Frenchwoman, ranked 61 in the world, serving to bring things level at 5-5

:31:50. > :32:19.if she can. That is the hammer blow forehand. It

:32:20. > :32:23.is a shot that Keys is more comfortable with, especially in

:32:24. > :32:26.tight moments and Cornet knows that she missed played a couple of

:32:27. > :32:30.forehands short in the court, into the Keys forehand. Tough to win

:32:31. > :32:42.those types of points if you are Cornet.

:32:43. > :32:58.So near! Picking it up off of her shoelaces. She is trying to hammer

:32:59. > :33:06.that ball to the backhand wing of Keys, knowing that beforehand is the

:33:07. > :33:19.stronger weapon. -- knowing that the forehand.

:33:20. > :33:26.It is hard always to get the ball where you want it against Keys,

:33:27. > :33:29.because it comes back awfully fast. No questioning, her level has

:33:30. > :33:32.dropped from the middle part of the set, where she looked almost

:33:33. > :33:41.unbeatable. That is what you have to do against Keys, weather the storms.

:33:42. > :34:14.From 0-30, Keys letting an opportunity slip.

:34:15. > :34:29.Again, undone by the power. It is coming back from the other side of

:34:30. > :34:34.the net. So, a fourth time, a fourth chance for Madison Keys to seal this

:34:35. > :34:36.sector. She couldn't do it on her own serve, can she do it on

:34:37. > :34:52.Cornet's? That is how much she wants it.

:34:53. > :34:58.Although she hasn't played her best tennis throughout this whole set,

:34:59. > :35:04.but she breaks serve to win the first, 6-4. The job is done, Lindsay

:35:05. > :35:09.Davenport, at least at this moment. What a way to win that set. The

:35:10. > :35:12.level had dropped off Madison. Played it safe but forced herself to

:35:13. > :35:19.be aggressive in the final point. She started with a nice, measured

:35:20. > :35:24.return, had some spin on this. No hesitation with the short ball

:35:25. > :35:28.moving forward. Nice backhand volley to the open court, but better yet,

:35:29. > :35:34.the reaction. No question, a couple of nerves entered the equation in

:35:35. > :35:51.closing out this set. She was pumped. And she is not so happy.

:35:52. > :35:59.All that yellow on the right-hand side shows who came out on top.

:36:00. > :36:05.Cornet has to win more points on her first and second serves. Since she

:36:06. > :36:12.is not going for much on the first serve, it would probably help to get

:36:13. > :36:15.a higher percentage in play. The depth of the Cornet shot is

:36:16. > :36:19.important. It is difficult to win points when you drop balls short

:36:20. > :36:26.against Keys and that big she possesses. Only two winners from the

:36:27. > :36:33.racket of Cornet. A huge difference in the stats. It shows how Keys has

:36:34. > :36:39.been handing her points. If she can iron out those errors, she could

:36:40. > :36:59.expect, hopefully, to wrap this up in straight sets.

:37:00. > :37:03.In the same way that the first set started, the second set starts with

:37:04. > :38:20.a double fault. Oh, what a pass! And what a point!

:38:21. > :38:24.This point turned around a couple of different times, but then Cornet had

:38:25. > :38:28.the advantage at the end but did not do enough with that backhand volley,

:38:29. > :38:29.a game, write to the forehand off Madison, the bigger weapon off the

:38:30. > :39:01.ground. -- again, the bigger weapon. At 0-30 on her serve as well, that

:39:02. > :39:02.killer forehand pass was important. So, she has levelled things up in

:39:03. > :39:59.this game. Yes... Some incredible angles there.

:40:00. > :40:04.Good movement from both players as well. Cornet, how she got that to

:40:05. > :40:13.curl around back in just over the net.

:40:14. > :40:40.So smart - Madison has started to use the body serve beautifully.

:40:41. > :41:09.Good second serve, really went after it.

:41:10. > :41:16.Is an important hold for Madison Keys. From 0-30, staving off a break

:41:17. > :41:39.as well. The first call-out in French in

:41:40. > :42:16.support of at least Cornet. -- Alize Cornet.

:42:17. > :42:43.That isn't a better serve from Cornet, one of the better ones we

:42:44. > :42:46.have seen in the match will stop she has to get that placement because

:42:47. > :43:09.she does not possess a lot of power. UMPIRE: Miss Cornet is challenging

:43:10. > :43:14.the call. The ball was called out. What does Hawkeye say? Yes. You

:43:15. > :44:15.don't need much. That is plenty. Wow! Sheep all that out of the bag,

:44:16. > :44:18.didn't she? What a different service game from Cornet. She will have to

:44:19. > :44:29.take some chances like that on her service games. -- sheep all that out

:44:30. > :44:30.of the bag. Hitting it to the corners, that is what she needs to

:44:31. > :45:54.do. This is more like some of the

:45:55. > :45:59.forehands and errors we saw in the opening set. No spin on that one, no

:46:00. > :46:05.need to go for it that big when she was behind the baseline.

:46:06. > :46:13.That is what you get in some of these Madison Keys matches - patches

:46:14. > :46:16.of brilliance mixed in with inconsistent patches. And that is

:46:17. > :46:18.something that has to change if she wants to make this next jump into

:46:19. > :46:47.the top five or six. Well, it is a pretty horrible way to

:46:48. > :47:02.be broken. Cornet moving ahead in the second set. Keys won the first,

:47:03. > :47:10.but Cornet leads to- one. -- Cornet leads numeric 2-1. What is it that

:47:11. > :47:21.she needs to do to improve? Is it putting the hours in? It is mental.

:47:22. > :47:25.These players, they hit thousands of shots. She knows that she needs more

:47:26. > :47:31.spin and more margin, but sometimes when you feel not as calm, you feel

:47:32. > :47:38.a little nervous, bad habits come in. And one of those for Madison is

:47:39. > :47:42.to go for the winner, to get the points too quickly. Part of what I

:47:43. > :47:47.was trying to do is, she is so fast in such a great athlete, she doesn't

:47:48. > :47:51.need to hit winners. She could cover the court and be defensive, which is

:47:52. > :47:55.not the style you would want to play, but there is no reason for her

:47:56. > :48:02.to panic and end points too quickly. It is something she is getting

:48:03. > :48:09.better rat, but still in certain situations, you can see that the

:48:10. > :48:10.thought crossed maybe -- that the thought process maybe isn't there.

:48:11. > :48:51.-- she is getting better at. The right idea, down the line. She

:48:52. > :48:56.had the whole court and just try to overplay. It will be interesting to

:48:57. > :49:05.see how Cornet now handles this. What a difference from the first set

:49:06. > :49:15.where she was at 50%, now she has at 86. What an improvement that is.

:49:16. > :49:18.Keys only getting half. 50%. Ever since that 5-2 lead, the play has

:49:19. > :49:39.been more even from the two of them. Wow! From that serve on the TV, a

:49:40. > :49:48.very good hold for our lease Cornet. -- for Alize Cornet. Cone they has

:49:49. > :49:52.to be more careful with her approach. She got away with that

:49:53. > :50:28.there. She has a nice lead in the second set.

:50:29. > :50:45.A nasty slip. Looks like she's OK. It's so hard to change direction on

:50:46. > :50:57.the grass. That wasn't too bad, I don't think.

:50:58. > :51:03.A quick service game from Madison Keys, but she is still a break down

:51:04. > :51:22.in the second set, after winning the first 6-4.

:51:23. > :51:28.SUE BARKER: We will be back with this match in a moment, but so much

:51:29. > :51:32.is happening, we will break away for a while to bring you the news that

:51:33. > :51:38.Andy Murray is safely through to the fourth round here at Wimbledon. He

:51:39. > :51:44.defeated John Millman on Centre Court, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2. So Andy Murray

:51:45. > :51:48.is through to face either Nick Kyrgios Feliciano Lopez, but that

:51:49. > :51:51.was very another impressive performance from Britain's number

:51:52. > :51:57.one, to the delight of the Centre Court crowd. Andy is through come

:51:58. > :52:02.about in this Championships, it has been full of shocks in the first

:52:03. > :52:06.week. Today, we had the biggest one of all. Sam Querrey, here serving at

:52:07. > :52:15.match point against the world number one, the man who holds all four

:52:16. > :52:22.grand slam titles, Novak Djokovic. And that means no Djokovic in the

:52:23. > :52:26.second week of Wimbledon. The last time he lost before the

:52:27. > :52:30.quarterfinals in a Grand Slam was back in 2009. He looked very

:52:31. > :52:36.listless in that match, and strangely out of sorts, but you

:52:37. > :52:42.cannot take any away -- anything away from this man. He was hitting

:52:43. > :52:45.big from the back of the court. The crowd certainly appreciated his

:52:46. > :52:49.performance, but everybody is wondering what is wrong with Novak

:52:50. > :52:54.Djokovic. Straight from the court, he walked into the press conference,

:52:55. > :53:00.and this is what he had to say. Congratulations to Sam. He played

:53:01. > :53:04.eight horrific match. He serves very well, and he usually does. I think

:53:05. > :53:12.that part of his game was brutal today. He made a lot of free points

:53:13. > :53:18.with the first serve. Well done, he just overpowered me. Word you 100%

:53:19. > :53:26.healthy? Not really, but it is not the place and time to talk about it.

:53:27. > :53:31.Again, the opponent was playing on a very high level and he deserved to

:53:32. > :53:35.win. I don't want to take anything out of victory for my opponent

:53:36. > :53:41.today. He played well and deserved to win. I had my chances, maybe in

:53:42. > :53:45.the fourth set, serving for the set in the tie-break I was leading, but

:53:46. > :53:51.I wasn't feeling the ball as well as I wished, but that is sport. How

:53:52. > :53:58.might this impact your decision about the Davis Cup? No, I am not

:53:59. > :54:04.going to play it. It is an amazing feeling to be able to hold four

:54:05. > :54:10.grand slam is at the same time. Coming into Wimbledon, obviously, I

:54:11. > :54:17.knew that mentally it would not be easy to read motivate myself -- to

:54:18. > :54:21.motivate myself again, but the importance of this tournament is so

:54:22. > :54:25.immense that you always find ways to get really inspired and prepare a

:54:26. > :54:33.rant try to give your best. Beasley, my best wasn't enough this year. We

:54:34. > :54:39.saw you -- obviously, my best. What would you thinking this morning? As

:54:40. > :54:44.I said, I don't want to talk about it. Please respect that. How do you

:54:45. > :54:50.think you will deal with this? How what is the best way to deal with --

:54:51. > :54:55.what is the best way to deal with the disappointment? I have a family

:54:56. > :55:02.and a life outside of tennis, so I have plenty to look forward to. I

:55:03. > :55:06.will pay more attention to those things than tennis in the next

:55:07. > :55:10.period, and I need that. It has been a very successful year so far, but a

:55:11. > :55:17.long and exhausting one in every sense. I just need some rest. SUE

:55:18. > :55:21.BARKER: Obviously, hugely disappointed and not wanting to talk

:55:22. > :55:24.about what was wrong with him. But Novak Djokovic is out of the

:55:25. > :55:31.tournament. On Court Number Two at the moment, the Eastbourne champion,

:55:32. > :55:34.Dominika Cibulkova, serving for the first set against Eugenie Borchard,

:55:35. > :55:38.who put out Johanna Konta in the last round. That is on the red

:55:39. > :55:42.button if you want to watch that. But we are heading back to Court

:55:43. > :55:50.Number One, where Alize Cornet has held serve, so she is 4-2 up. Let's

:55:51. > :55:52.rejoin Lindsay and Alison. Madison Keys, the ninth seed, with

:55:53. > :56:13.some work to do in this second set. These misfits, Lindsay Davenport,

:56:14. > :56:18.creeping in more than she would like. She is doing a better job of

:56:19. > :56:24.playing to her temple, not just reacting and playing defensively.

:56:25. > :56:27.Reading some of the key shots better, returning better, serving

:56:28. > :57:12.better, which has allowed her to be more aggressive off the ground.

:57:13. > :57:18.Cornet is reading that kick-serve better. Absolutely, and placing

:57:19. > :57:22.balls better in the court where she wants them to go. Having more time

:57:23. > :57:30.to do what she wants to do on the court.

:57:31. > :57:47.She like that! -- she will like that! Tremendous backhand. Alize

:57:48. > :58:05.gave Cornet -- Madison gave Cornet too much on that. Two break points.

:58:06. > :58:14.And there it is for Cornet. She goes a double break up in this second

:58:15. > :58:26.set. Keys won the first 6-4, but Cornet is right back and she will be

:58:27. > :58:31.serving for the second set. Quite the turnaround, isn't it, from the

:58:32. > :58:36.first set and the period where Keys won 14 points in a row, wrestle the

:58:37. > :58:44.momentum after race slow start, but Cornet is really now forcing Keys to

:58:45. > :58:48.play more to her rhythm and pace. That is not easy to do against

:58:49. > :58:52.Madison and her power, but there were periods in that first set where

:58:53. > :58:56.Keys was playing the type of tennis that can potentially win a grand

:58:57. > :59:03.slam title. Maybe here this year, maybe it takes a few years. Then the

:59:04. > :59:09.other level comes in, a level where there are a lot of unforced errors.

:59:10. > :59:13.She has to reset right here and right now. Cornet is a tough

:59:14. > :59:15.opponent, gets a lot of balls back into play. She has raised her level,

:59:16. > :59:34.and Madison has to do the same here. So, a big service game now for Alize

:59:35. > :00:00.Cornet. That is a better return, more

:00:01. > :00:05.aggressive. At the changeover, the team were encouraging Madison to

:00:06. > :00:07.step into the court and take some balls earlier. That was a better

:00:08. > :00:29.return there. That is a bit more of the attacking

:00:30. > :00:35.Keys instinct. This is the type of tennis that she wants to play on a

:00:36. > :00:38.grass court, and you want Madison to play - moving forward and looking to

:00:39. > :00:57.take balls early, play it on her terms, win or lose.

:00:58. > :01:03.She had a couple of chances where she could have finished off that

:01:04. > :01:13.point, but she earns herself free very valuable break back points.

:01:14. > :01:20.What the drop volley, between the baseline and service line.

:01:21. > :01:52.Brilliantly waited, brilliantly placed.

:01:53. > :02:06.Ooh, that's too good. Great job by Cornet to take control of this point

:02:07. > :02:18.and keep control of it. Perfectly placed folly.

:02:19. > :02:42.Someone's going to challenge. The ball was called in. She didn't

:02:43. > :02:51.hesitate, did she? On break point. It was called out and overruled in.

:02:52. > :02:56.That was on the line. That's a break for Keys, there. Well, is this the

:02:57. > :03:28.start of the fightback in the second set?

:03:29. > :03:34.Madison looks a little more calm right now than she did six or seven

:03:35. > :03:36.minutes ago when she was forcing the play a little bit, going for two big

:03:37. > :04:41.of shots. Settled back down here. That was pretty perfect. Has that

:04:42. > :04:50.nice rhythm on her serve again. Sometimes she tries to force things.

:04:51. > :04:51.When the toss and the body is in with it is very hard to read, very

:04:52. > :05:00.hard to return. -- is in rhythm. Although that was a pretty good

:05:01. > :05:22.return of serve. Important hold keeps her in this

:05:23. > :05:35.second set. Cornet has played a couple of top

:05:36. > :05:39.ten players this year and lost twice. Came up against Victoria

:05:40. > :05:48.Azarenka in the Jade and Radwanska in Miami. This would be a big win

:05:49. > :05:53.for her if she can take Keys into a decider, if she can win through into

:05:54. > :05:58.the last extreme. A player of Madison Keys' quality. She has been

:05:59. > :06:07.in the last extreme of Wimbledon before, back in 2014, and she even

:06:08. > :06:09.beat Serena Williams along the way. At this stage. Before losing out to

:06:10. > :06:23.Jeannie Bouchard. Still a few empty seats. Some people

:06:24. > :06:26.wanting to get up and walk around to recover from the shock defeat of

:06:27. > :06:32.Novak Djokovic on this very court which was the match that kept Cornet

:06:33. > :06:37.and Keys waiting today. Four disruptions for rain during the

:06:38. > :06:41.conclusion of that match as well. Thankfully no disruptions so far but

:06:42. > :07:12.Cornet, at 5-4, coming out to serve for the second set.

:07:13. > :07:18.Once again the momentum has completely shifted in this match. At

:07:19. > :07:29.one point Cornet was dictating play, going after her serve. If you spin

:07:30. > :07:40.your first serve in at 89 mph, doesn't really show a whole lot of

:07:41. > :08:09.confidence. Certainly under a bit of pressure now.

:08:10. > :08:31.What a game. From 5-2, Madison Keys has pulled it back. Level at 5-5 in

:08:32. > :09:02.this second set. There's always a few ups and downs

:09:03. > :09:07.in all of the Keys matches. Bit of a roller-coaster ride. Yes. Almost

:09:08. > :09:11.everyone at some point. One of the things she is doing better is

:09:12. > :09:16.resetting faster. A lot of times we setting before it's too late. --

:09:17. > :10:15.resetting before it's too late. Pulled Cornet outside the court and

:10:16. > :10:50.was able to angle this ever so slightly out of the reach of Cornet.

:10:51. > :11:03.Lovely. Doesn't get much better than that. Took her time with this

:11:04. > :11:14.running forehand. Got it over the net. Such a great, powerful shot.

:11:15. > :11:37.Ooh. Bang on that service line. Game

:11:38. > :12:38.point again for 6-5. Errors creeping back in. Not a lot

:12:39. > :12:49.of margin on those backhands. Good idea to take some time and regroup

:12:50. > :13:00.here if you are Madison. What a great serve to come up with facing

:13:01. > :13:06.break point. So well placed. She is next in enough up the tea and out

:13:07. > :13:33.wide that Cornet isn't quite sure where she's going.

:13:34. > :13:38.Second break point, such an important time, business end of the

:13:39. > :14:11.second set, Cornet desperate to take this match to a deciding set.

:14:12. > :14:23.The break coming up such a crucial time. Really gave it that breakaway,

:14:24. > :14:28.too. Cornet made some more shots on the court but a number of backhand

:14:29. > :14:37.errors, not a lot of margin. Cornet is a fighter. Back to 5-5 and she is

:14:38. > :14:44.still a feisty competitor. That's really one of her best attributes.

:14:45. > :14:52.She doesn't go in for bottling up her emotions, does she? Or her

:14:53. > :14:57.feelings. Cheerful news on the big screen, victory for Andy Murray. And

:14:58. > :15:01.this is the match this crowd witnessed. That's also a cheer for

:15:02. > :15:05.Andy Murray, the crowd realising with Novak out of this tournament,

:15:06. > :15:10.much better chance for Andy Murray to perhaps when the second Wimbledon

:15:11. > :15:14.title. Is he your favourite now in the men's? I think he has to be,

:15:15. > :15:25.doesn't he? Take Djokovic out of the equation. I think Federer is

:15:26. > :15:30.probably pretty happy, too. This Court has seen some seeds fall

:15:31. > :15:35.during this tournament so far. Not quite sure what that conversation

:15:36. > :15:40.was about. Think it was about her slamming the racket into the grass.

:15:41. > :15:46.So that's a slap on the wrist. They are pretty protective of their

:15:47. > :16:16.courts, here. Cornet at 6-5, serving to take us into a decider.

:16:17. > :16:22.So well constructed by Cornet. That's what it takes, sometimes.

:16:23. > :16:27.Sometimes you have to hit nine or ten ground strokes before you can

:16:28. > :16:29.win the point. Great patients from Keys, not always a strong suit of

:16:30. > :17:27.hers. -- great patience. And the pressure swings back onto

:17:28. > :17:52.Cornet. Cornet went after that serve more.

:17:53. > :17:55.Looked pretty far inside the line. Yes, it was well in. Didn't touch

:17:56. > :18:27.the line. Cornet burns herself -- earns

:18:28. > :19:01.herself a set point. And she's done it. Taking Madison

:19:02. > :19:06.Keys into a deciding set. Cornet fighting back, taking the second set

:19:07. > :19:10.7-5. Match on and we'll be back on Court Number One in a little time,

:19:11. > :19:14.because we are going to take you through the main news stories of the

:19:15. > :19:18.day. Good news for Britain's number one Andy Murray is that he is

:19:19. > :19:21.through in straight sets. Another straight sets victory, yet to drop a

:19:22. > :19:24.set at the tournament and that will please his coaches Ivan Lendl and

:19:25. > :19:34.Jayme Doll garden. John Millman making his Wimbledon

:19:35. > :19:38.Centre Court debut. It was a wonderful match to watch with the

:19:39. > :19:41.Centre Court crowd thoroughly enjoying it and thoroughly enjoying

:19:42. > :19:45.Murray's performance particularly. He goes through to the fourth round

:19:46. > :19:49.in the second week of Wimbledon. But Novak Djokovic will not be there,

:19:50. > :19:53.that is the big shop here today. We've lost so many seeds throughout

:19:54. > :19:58.the tournament but this is not just a shock for Wimbledon, it is a shock

:19:59. > :20:02.for the world of tennis. The man that had looked unbeatable in the

:20:03. > :20:09.Grand Slams is put out in the third round by this big serving American,

:20:10. > :20:13.a barrage of aces, 31 in total, and some big hitting. Djokovic did not

:20:14. > :20:18.look himself, looked a little listless. He did not want to give

:20:19. > :20:22.anything away in the press conference, said he did not want to

:20:23. > :20:27.talk about it. But you can't take anything away from Sam Querrey, he

:20:28. > :20:33.played the match of his life. Once he was safely through, the 28th

:20:34. > :20:36.seed, this marathon out on court 12, sufferers has won 12-10 in the third

:20:37. > :20:52.set. The Lucie Safarova goes through. But

:20:53. > :20:57.what about or in the third. And generous love to read

:20:58. > :21:10.Sabine Lisicki is out. Yaroslava Shvedova will play suffer Lucie

:21:11. > :21:23.Safarova in the next round. No problems for burn atomic. The 19th

:21:24. > :21:31.seed has put out Roberto Bautista Agut. And he goes through to face

:21:32. > :21:38.either Lucas Pouille or Juan Martin Del Potro. So that is the story is,

:21:39. > :21:42.there, but this is a story brewing out on court, doubles match

:21:43. > :21:49.involving Nicholas are talking to these umpire. They are playing live

:21:50. > :21:53.Hewitt and Jordan Thompson. There is a spectator in the crowd talking to

:21:54. > :21:58.him, to him, intimidating him, putting him off. Late in Hewitt

:21:59. > :22:03.starts to get involved. This has been bubbling under for a few games.

:22:04. > :22:07.Now wow really not happy, asking for the spectator to be removed.

:22:08. > :22:24.The umpire makes a call and just a few moments later... There she is,

:22:25. > :22:30.she is being removed from the court. Almagro has his way. And it is a bit

:22:31. > :22:36.testy out on that court, a tough one. 14-14. It is only best-of-3.

:22:37. > :22:42.The spectator is asked to leave the court. And they play on, currently

:22:43. > :22:50.14-14. The Eastbourne champion is going well. Up against Jimmy

:22:51. > :22:51.Bouchard, who played so well on Centre Court putting out Britain's

:22:52. > :23:01.Konta. So that's what's been happening

:23:02. > :23:06.today, another very busy day and a day of shocks, but let's go back to

:23:07. > :23:13.Court One. We missed just one game. Madison Keys held serve.

:23:14. > :23:20.COMMENTATOR: Madison Keys held her opening service game to love in this

:23:21. > :23:24.deciding set. She started slowly for each of her service game the first

:23:25. > :23:28.two sets. Preferred to get that game on the board. Madison got broken

:23:29. > :24:01.three times in the second set. This is a big game for both players.

:24:02. > :24:11.Keys has good momentum, winning six points. Cornet does not want to give

:24:12. > :24:17.Keys any reason to feel comfortable in this second -- deciding set,

:24:18. > :24:29.especially early on. Not the first time Cornet has

:24:30. > :24:36.slipped on the grass, here. Looks as if this one has hurt her more than

:24:37. > :24:55.the last. Landing heavily on the right hip.

:24:56. > :25:31.Couple of break points, then. Bit more self talk going on at the far

:25:32. > :25:32.end of the court from Cornet. Madison again not in control of any

:25:33. > :25:57.of these points. And a great start in this third set

:25:58. > :26:08.for Keys. She needed that, going up a break early.

:26:09. > :26:12.Yeah, I think that fall has certainly done a little bit of

:26:13. > :26:39.mischief. During that second set, her second

:26:40. > :26:50.serve did not as well as it did in the first. A huge factor. Those

:26:51. > :26:54.first serves doing OK if she can keep dishing them up like that. Got

:26:55. > :26:55.to get out of the habit of just making her second serve in the

:26:56. > :27:25.court. A lovely drop shot from Cornet. Keys

:27:26. > :27:29.doing an excellent job of getting to the drop shot. The anticipation but

:27:30. > :27:34.just couldn't quite reach that last volley. I like the play from Cornet,

:27:35. > :27:53.the drop shot, following it in. Is Cornet isn't careful, this set

:27:54. > :28:07.could run away from her quite quickly.

:28:08. > :28:36.Again another beautiful first serve. Found that location up the T.

:28:37. > :28:43.And then the server out wide, served her well. That helps so much on

:28:44. > :28:47.grass when you are a little tense, having a hard time winning baseline

:28:48. > :28:51.rallies, the ability to get free points on your serve. Not a lot of

:28:52. > :29:04.players on the women's tour have that ability.

:29:05. > :29:26.There was not a lot of power on the forehand from keys.

:29:27. > :29:33.Keys really picking on the Cornet forehand now. Almost every serve

:29:34. > :29:49.going that way in this game now. That's how important that hold is.

:29:50. > :30:01.Races into a 3-0 lead in the decider.

:30:02. > :30:11.We talked about the seesaw nature of the match. And of Madison Keys'

:30:12. > :30:17.encounters. 15 errors from Keys. There were not many winners coming

:30:18. > :30:22.off the racket of Cornet. No, Cornet had one unforced error in that

:30:23. > :30:29.second set. But again, Keys has reset in this third set. Started to

:30:30. > :30:32.play more to her tempo, better serving and when she's playing

:30:33. > :30:36.Herbin there's very little Cornet can do to stay with her but when the

:30:37. > :30:40.unforced errors start to come, hesitation when she is trying to

:30:41. > :30:44.make balls, that's when Cornet is able to win more games. Start to

:30:45. > :31:00.play her style of tennis. She cuts a pretty relaxed figure on

:31:01. > :31:05.court. In comparison to Cornet, who is more animated than many of the

:31:06. > :31:10.women on the tour. Cornet has that ability sometimes to rile the

:31:11. > :31:17.opposition if they allow her to get into their head.

:31:18. > :31:22.You can see dramatics and theatrical reaction from the other side of the

:31:23. > :31:28.court, but it makes for extra good watching for the spectators, for

:31:29. > :31:30.sure, to see a player fired up. She's three behind in this final

:31:31. > :31:46.set. This is a great opportunity for

:31:47. > :31:51.Madison to swing out. She has a nice lead, doesn't want to start playing

:31:52. > :31:52.conservatively now. Play aggressively, big targets, still

:31:53. > :32:24.keeps swinging out. A spot of bother now, Cornet. Still

:32:25. > :32:43.not much warmth in that son, is that? -- in that sun, is there?

:32:44. > :32:50.Well, when it is hit back at your toes like that, you can't do much

:32:51. > :32:54.with it. That should be her target, location, 460-70% of her returns,

:32:55. > :33:02.especially on this surface, when she gets hit at it. The server has very

:33:03. > :33:19.little time to recover and play the next shot.

:33:20. > :33:39.A fitting return of serve to get the break. -- a fizzing.

:33:40. > :33:43.You had the feeling this set could go away from Cornet rapidly, but not

:33:44. > :33:54.this rapidly. Those first two games of the third

:33:55. > :33:59.set were huge. Once Madison was able to hold and get that first break,

:34:00. > :34:01.she relaxed. And she plays her best tennis when she is relaxed and has a

:34:02. > :34:18.bit of a lead. Cornet needed to put some scoreboard

:34:19. > :34:54.pressure on Keys, especially early in this final set.

:34:55. > :35:05.What is she like in the locker room before matches, Madison? She is

:35:06. > :35:10.friendly in the locker room. All of these players, I feel, they feel the

:35:11. > :35:16.pressure and the nerves. Some try to deny it, some you can see it. There

:35:17. > :35:25.is no question, pretty intense, Madison, especially at the slams.

:35:26. > :35:34.Her focus improved tremendously. -- improves.

:35:35. > :35:44.What an angle! After the net cord as well. Yellow might that is too good

:35:45. > :35:45.from Cornet. Madison getting a little unlucky with that forehand

:35:46. > :36:04.there, but excellent feel. Excellent job handling that backhand

:36:05. > :36:10.there. That was a good return from Cornet. A chance to hold for 5-0,

:36:11. > :36:43.then, in this decider. Going for that big winner again.

:36:44. > :36:47.Cornet made an excellent return. That was a good serve, and Cornet

:36:48. > :37:22.managed to get her return back on the baseline.

:37:23. > :37:35.Well played, Cornet. A perfect drop shot. Again, we have seen this play

:37:36. > :37:47.a number of times for Cornet. Once again, pulling out the big

:37:48. > :37:54.first serve when she is facing break point. She is faking really well

:37:55. > :37:58.with her toss. She has gone up the tea so much, she had some space out

:37:59. > :38:44.why. -- up the T. A second chance for Cornet. The

:38:45. > :38:46.noise from Cornet seems to be getting louder as we get towards the

:38:47. > :39:10.business end of this match. A great serve again. We saw her kick

:39:11. > :39:14.the last serve out wide. There, flattening it out, 100 and the live

:39:15. > :39:17.and in miles per hour. It is tough to defend when a player can hit all

:39:18. > :39:41.the servers. -- 111 mph. It is turning into a real struggle

:39:42. > :40:11.to hold this service game. She has got one of those two breaks

:40:12. > :40:17.back. That is fantastic fighting from Cornet. Keys with a couple of

:40:18. > :40:30.points to go up 5-0 in this final set, and Cornet found in nicely. --

:40:31. > :40:36.Cornet hung in nicely. I wonder how upset Keys will be by the fact that

:40:37. > :40:39.she was fine. Players have short memories with stuff like that,

:40:40. > :40:50.especially something as big as closing matches, closing sets out.

:40:51. > :41:07.That was a Kees second round match against Kirsten Flippin 's. -- Keys.

:41:08. > :41:16.We are into the evening. It is crazy for a second match. We played one

:41:17. > :41:21.hour and three quarters out on court, that is the longest either of

:41:22. > :41:27.these two players have been on court bus far, coming through rounds one

:41:28. > :41:40.and two. Cornet hadn't dropped a set before she encountered Madison Keys.

:41:41. > :42:46.So, Cornet is 4-1 down in this decider.

:42:47. > :42:56.She has got a great serve - right on the line, turning away. One of the

:42:57. > :43:00.best service games Cornet has played in a while. You can bet your bottom

:43:01. > :43:12.dollar that... There is not much that gets by the

:43:13. > :43:20.players in the locker room. Whether it is a shot breaking down, having

:43:21. > :43:22.trouble closing out leads. All of the players have a pretty good

:43:23. > :43:31.handle on -- a pretty good handle on the

:43:32. > :43:58.opposition. Back-to-back games for Alize Cornet.

:43:59. > :44:04.She is wrestling back -- she is wrestling back a bit of this

:44:05. > :44:09.momentum. Keys is still a break up. In her bid to reach the last 16.

:44:10. > :44:16.Simona Halep awaits there, the fifth seed. She looked very good today.

:44:17. > :44:33.She is very confident in this tournament.

:44:34. > :44:45.Oh! Great court coverage, and what a finish. An excellent debt here from

:44:46. > :44:50.Cornet. A tactical error from Cornet. She did not put that volley

:44:51. > :45:05.away and went to one of the best shots in the Keys game.

:45:06. > :45:34.That was a risky overhead, but that first point totally changed the

:45:35. > :46:08.momentum again in this match, and Keys now very confident.

:46:09. > :46:21.The hold of serve puts Keys in a commanding position in the deciding

:46:22. > :46:27.set. Finally, closing in on the line. But how much fight is left in

:46:28. > :46:33.Alize Cornet? That first point of the last game was huge. Cornet had

:46:34. > :46:38.some amends, winning two games in a row. A different story if you're

:46:39. > :46:42.serving 0-15, then hitting a great winner and feeling great about your

:46:43. > :46:54.game again, which Keys was able to do with that first point. Hopefully

:46:55. > :47:01.set for a fine rest of the evening here at Wimbledon. Still perhaps

:47:02. > :47:12.just stretching out where she fell awkwardly on that hip. The screen we

:47:13. > :47:16.heard from her showed how she is frustrated with herself at the

:47:17. > :47:24.moment. She has not really been in this third set, not challenging Keys

:47:25. > :47:31.Ina, having taken it to a decider. -- not challenging Keys Ina. -- Keys

:47:32. > :48:55.enough. Smart play by Cornet, more

:48:56. > :48:56.consistent. She is putting pressure on Keys to try and service match

:48:57. > :49:14.out. -- serve this match out. That was a

:49:15. > :49:27.great shot from out wide, and a better return.

:49:28. > :49:33.That is a fantastic luck, isn't it? Keeping warm in the cold and keeping

:49:34. > :50:00.your eyes in the shade. A struggle for Cornet to close out

:50:01. > :50:15.this service game, giving Keys a sniff.

:50:16. > :50:30.Great down the line. Maybe she won't have to service match out. One of

:50:31. > :50:32.the best point Keys has played. Perfect backhand up the line, great

:50:33. > :51:22.technique. She went for it again, the drop shot

:51:23. > :51:27.that had served her so well. That is just a panic shot. She knew. As soon

:51:28. > :52:04.as the ball left the racket face. That is the pummelling forehand, and

:52:05. > :52:38.that is the first match point for the ninth seed.

:52:39. > :52:52.That will do it! And last year's quarterfinalist is back into the

:52:53. > :52:57.last 16. Taken to a decider, an up and down sort of match in many ways,

:52:58. > :53:06.but Madison Keys, the ninth seed, winning in three. That was huge.

:53:07. > :53:10.Breaking to win the match. Cornet was serving that last game for the-

:53:11. > :53:13.zero, and that is the way to close out a match. If there were any

:53:14. > :53:18.lingering doubts from the match before, they were put to rest there.

:53:19. > :53:24.Up and down, but there were some moments of brilliance from Keys. And

:53:25. > :53:33.she is so excited about this win, and into the second week again. A

:53:34. > :53:46.big smile on her face when she went into the centre of the court to

:53:47. > :53:50.acknowledge the crowd. You feel those big moments that you saw

:53:51. > :53:56.there, Lindsey, bode well for next week. The job doesn't get any easier

:53:57. > :54:03.for Madison. Next up is Simona Halep, who has looked very

:54:04. > :54:06.comfortable most of this week. First you focus on getting to the second

:54:07. > :54:13.week, then you focus on the matches. She played well in the first week.

:54:14. > :54:19.So, Madison Keys is through in three, breaking serve to close out

:54:20. > :54:24.the final set, to win 86-3. It is the end of Wimbledon for Alize

:54:25. > :54:28.Cornet, and Madison Keys is through, winning in sets, 6-4, 5-7 and 6-2 in

:54:29. > :54:38.the decider. Madison, huge congratulations. A few

:54:39. > :54:43.hairy moments in the second set, how easy was it to focus ahead of the

:54:44. > :54:48.third? It wasn't easy but I knew she would play good tennis. I knew I

:54:49. > :54:53.needed to fix some things and maybe be a bit more aggressive. What was

:54:54. > :54:57.amazing was in the third set, as things got tough, you kept your

:54:58. > :55:01.focus and momentum, you seemed to do the footwork and movement was good.

:55:02. > :55:09.How much as the fitness work that you have done been helpful? It is a

:55:10. > :55:12.huge help knowing I can stay out there as long as I need to, but also

:55:13. > :55:20.knowing how much work I have done on my movement makes me more confident.

:55:21. > :55:25.You got into the quarterfinals last year, into the last 16 now, how

:55:26. > :55:30.confident are you? I think I have played more matches this year. I

:55:31. > :55:34.have been more consistent in the last couple of months. It is another

:55:35. > :55:39.tournament, so I am definitely looking forward to my next match. A

:55:40. > :55:43.quick word about that, against Simona Halep. It is a couple of

:55:44. > :55:48.years since you last met. I honestly don't know where it was that the

:55:49. > :55:52.last played. I know I played her one time. It will be a tough match and I

:55:53. > :55:58.am looking forward to it. Many congratulations. Thank you. SUE

:55:59. > :56:03.BARKER: Well done indeed. She has just broken into the world's top ten

:56:04. > :56:11.recently, and now there are three Americans in the top ten. Serena

:56:12. > :56:21.Williams is there. Madison Keys is through. In three sets. A real

:56:22. > :56:25.research is an American tennis with Serena and Venus Williams and

:56:26. > :56:34.Madison Keys at the top of the game. She is through in three sets. This

:56:35. > :56:40.is a player inform, common offer Eastbourne victory, improving that

:56:41. > :56:45.impressive form to win in straight sets, defeating Eugenie Bush are.

:56:46. > :56:48.She was in awesome form when she beat Johanna Konta and we thought

:56:49. > :56:55.she might go forward, but she is really a gutsy performer, Cibulkova.

:56:56. > :56:59.That's what it means her to be into the second week of Wimbledon. The

:57:00. > :57:04.19th seed is through. And David Goffin of Belgium, the 11 seed, also

:57:05. > :57:12.through, defeating Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan. He will go through to

:57:13. > :57:20.face either Milos Raonic or Jack Sock, who are on court at the

:57:21. > :57:26.moment. Over at court nine, we saw this rather testy doubles match

:57:27. > :57:31.between Lake and Hewitt. They are on match point. They broke in the last

:57:32. > :57:42.game and they have been on court for three hours and 57 minutes. It is

:57:43. > :57:57.18-17 in the last set. So, let's just see if Leighton can serve it

:57:58. > :58:00.out. They were given a wildcard after the Australian Open. He

:58:01. > :58:02.thought he fancied playing at Wimbledon so he went in the doubles.

:58:03. > :58:22.Here he is at match point. Oh, no! Leighton will be joining our

:58:23. > :58:28.commentary team next week, that is if he... Unless he stays in the

:58:29. > :58:32.doubles. Let's wait and see. The score is wrong, because it has gone

:58:33. > :58:40.back to deuce. We will stay and see if Leighton can serve it out.

:58:41. > :58:48.Here comes another. He is such a popular player. Look at the crowd.

:58:49. > :58:55.They have been thoroughly enjoying this. The doubles matches were

:58:56. > :59:00.reduced from five sets to three. Who would have thought he would be on

:59:01. > :59:02.court for four hours? Here he is, 18-17, and a chance to close it out

:59:03. > :59:34.yet again. And so they have done it. The crowd

:59:35. > :59:38.rises. This is one of these lately meaning -- late evening doubles

:59:39. > :59:42.matches. Let's see what the handshake is like. They had a bit of

:59:43. > :59:45.trouble earlier in the match, but that look very friendly as well. It

:59:46. > :59:53.is Hewitt and Thomson who go through, 19 hi 3-mac-17 in the third

:59:54. > :59:57.set of top four hours they play, but four hours of great entertainment

:59:58. > :00:02.for everybody out on court nine. Lovely to see late in back on. You

:00:03. > :00:06.see, he can never really retire. He just loves coming back, a great

:00:07. > :00:10.competitor, and he will have thoroughly enjoyed that victory. I'm

:00:11. > :00:14.not sure how people feel tomorrow, though. From one Grand Slam

:00:15. > :00:19.champion, we moved to another, Juan Martin del Potro. He put out Stan

:00:20. > :00:23.Wawrinka in the last round and he looks like he will put out another

:00:24. > :00:29.seed in this round as well. That matches online on the BBC

:00:30. > :00:33.application or Connected Tv. Those are the ways you can watch that

:00:34. > :00:40.matter. -- watch that match. What a day it has been - big shocks, great

:00:41. > :00:46.tennis, and Claire will have all the details at 8:30pm, when we will be

:00:47. > :00:49.discussing Andy Murray, no Novak Djokovic and Petra Kvitova. So much

:00:50. > :00:55.has been happening today. Because of the rain this week, we will have

:00:56. > :01:06.Sunday matches as well. We will be here tomorrow.

:01:07. > :01:18.10,000 people have got their tickets online today. Now we are heading to

:01:19. > :01:25.Centre Court. And we're going to see Milos Raonic 7-6, 4-3 he leads,

:01:26. > :01:34.which will certainly please somebody in our commentary box. John McEnroe.

:01:35. > :01:42.COMMENTATOR: On this dramatic day at Wimbledon, we have a gaping hole in

:01:43. > :01:47.this top section of the draw, shaped like Novak. You just wonder whether

:01:48. > :01:52.Milos Raonic is now perfectly positioned to take advantage. Set

:01:53. > :01:56.and a break to the good against Jack Sock. Absolutely, tremendous

:01:57. > :02:00.opportunity, so do any of the top players. Roger Federer who would

:02:01. > :02:07.have won a slam last year had it not been for Djokovic, suddenly he is

:02:08. > :02:12.believing again. Nishikori. Suddenly they are believing. This car is in

:02:13. > :02:18.that corner of the draw. David Goffin, to his credit, the male

:02:19. > :02:32.version of Agnieszka Radwanska, who takes place so well. Sock had no

:02:33. > :02:39.looks whatsoever. You have come at a good time because Raonic finally had

:02:40. > :02:46.a chance to break, played a strong game. Seems to be psychologically

:02:47. > :02:51.seeping some negativity into Sock's head just having to deal with this.

:02:52. > :03:03.Hasn't got any chance of rhythm, able to be offensive. Raonic

:03:04. > :03:07.handling that ball well. Hitting his serve is extremely hard. He's been

:03:08. > :03:16.up to 140 in this match. He's also mixing things up. Nicely done,

:03:17. > :03:21.there. Sock, to me, almost seems like he's got to guess. I would

:03:22. > :03:25.never encourage that as a coach or as a fan or a friend but right now,

:03:26. > :03:43.it doesn't seem to be going his way. That's the shop that will get back

:03:44. > :03:51.in the match, that forehand. Average speed second serve right now, for

:03:52. > :03:55.the match, average speed first serve 126, average speed second serve 124!

:03:56. > :04:11.That is ridiculous. I think they should tighten up the

:04:12. > :04:15.challenge rules because Sock waits to see, he is not the only one, they

:04:16. > :04:19.all do it. I would do the same thing if I could get away with it.

:04:20. > :04:25.Obviously didn't matter, but he waits to see the return is out and

:04:26. > :04:28.then challenges. Guys like Raonic, the other game, looks up to his box

:04:29. > :04:34.and then challenges. Shouldn't allow that either. Time has ticked by as

:04:35. > :04:42.players do that. It should be, if you look up, over. They would need

:04:43. > :04:45.to develop some secret codes, scratching your nose or something.

:04:46. > :04:53.According to my wife I do that too often anyway. Now Raonic

:04:54. > :04:59.challenging. We talked about the pace of second serve. That would be

:05:00. > :05:11.his second double. He's not exactly holding back. Carlos Moya.

:05:12. > :05:28.Sock, all of a sudden he's got a chance.

:05:29. > :05:36.We had to wait an hour and three minutes and 18 games plus a

:05:37. > :05:41.tie-break before we even got our first break point in this match and

:05:42. > :05:43.that was in the last game. But now immediately a chance for Sock to hit

:05:44. > :06:19.back. Makes a good volley. Tentative

:06:20. > :06:23.return by Sock. First of all he just wants to get it in. He was praying

:06:24. > :06:29.that ball would drop a little lower to Raonic. The kick is wicked, even

:06:30. > :06:40.on grass, that was up above his shoulder. That was a pretty good

:06:41. > :07:10.look for Sock, there. Matter of fact, you may not get a better one.

:07:11. > :07:19.Saving a break point in that game. He won that break point at the net,

:07:20. > :07:25.the next two points he was on his way into the net, must be pleased.

:07:26. > :07:30.Very pleased. Extremely intimidating moving forward. We talked a bit

:07:31. > :07:36.already about his skills. I think he's got skills. He's a good volley.

:07:37. > :07:43.Good touch. Like Steve 's drop volley when he can. That was solid

:07:44. > :07:49.-- he likes to use the drop volley, when he can.

:07:50. > :07:57.If you serve that big, why in the world are you sitting back there?

:07:58. > :08:07.Obviously discouraging to Sock, he had that good a look. He is bumming

:08:08. > :08:15.right now, big-time. More indication of his talent, been on the rise for

:08:16. > :08:20.the last few days. Once seen as the future of American tennis, that old

:08:21. > :08:31.tag. Only 23, though. Look at the forehand. Incredible. More width

:08:32. > :08:36.than Nadal. More top-spin than any single player. He plays like a

:08:37. > :08:39.Spanish guy. Wicked spin. And he's more comfortable on clay. Best

:08:40. > :08:57.results have been on clay. The back and has been a liability

:08:58. > :09:02.for Sock. It has improved, but still questionable at times. Especially

:09:03. > :09:10.when he feels the need to go big on it. To me he prefers the slice. Jack

:09:11. > :09:26.Sock's coach for the last couple of years.

:09:27. > :09:35.Got the sweet hands, too, Sock. I noticed that years ago when I played

:09:36. > :09:38.a couple of exhibitions with him in the states. This guy could use this

:09:39. > :10:01.to his advantage. Jack Sock has beaten two decent

:10:02. > :10:17.talents including Ernests Gulbis. Raonic will serve for the second set

:10:18. > :10:26.at 5-4. Sock, couple of years ago, won the doubles here. The belief

:10:27. > :10:30.that that helped him to a great extent, believe he could have great

:10:31. > :10:34.success here in the singles. Understanding the strategies

:10:35. > :10:44.involved, the nuances of the game. I was surprised when I was over at

:10:45. > :10:48.Queen's with my Milos and Sock had quote unquote forgotten to enter

:10:49. > :10:51.Queen's. He's not had much success in the past on the surface. However,

:10:52. > :10:56.you can see that he's got significant ability. Able to do a

:10:57. > :11:00.lot of different things. He has played no match coming into

:11:01. > :11:06.Wimbledon. For him he's at his best ever, never been in the second week

:11:07. > :11:13.of Wimbledon. The sky, Milos Raonic, has only one time, seemingly hard to

:11:14. > :11:18.believe, he hurt his hip and ended up having surgery which set him

:11:19. > :11:19.back. Look at this guy's overall game and serve and amazed he has

:11:20. > :11:36.only been in the second week once. Not sure I would choose to come in

:11:37. > :11:44.on his forehand, first point of the game. I'm sure he would just work it

:11:45. > :12:20.to the backhand of Sock. There he went back and surprised

:12:21. > :12:22.Sock. A gutsy move. After Sock had ripped that forehand last point, you

:12:23. > :12:44.know he's thinking, here comes the backhand.

:12:45. > :12:52.Ooh, wonderful pass from Sock on what was my loss rounded's fastest

:12:53. > :12:58.serve of the tournament. Great credit to Sock to hit the return and

:12:59. > :13:02.then the past. No doubt. Can I conceivably say that was the tough

:13:03. > :13:06.of the two shots, when you are returning a 143 mph serve? Beautiful

:13:07. > :13:21.flick of the risk. The serve has dropped off slightly

:13:22. > :13:22.in this set. Still at about three quarters of his first serves going

:13:23. > :14:04.in. Jack Sock is unleashing his

:14:05. > :14:13.repertoire here. It's great to watch. Forced my loss rounded to hit

:14:14. > :14:20.up and used that forehand, which is pretty lethal -- forced Raonic to

:14:21. > :14:31.hit up. So lethal. Incredibly he has another chance to break here, two

:14:32. > :14:38.games in a row. That was a smart play by Raonic. Got to zero in on

:14:39. > :15:01.opponents weakness. Especially at this critical point.

:15:02. > :15:07.Exactly what happened in the previous Raonic service game, facing

:15:08. > :15:12.a break point, he saved it and Sock didn't get another look in.

:15:13. > :15:26.Raonic brings a set point. Say goodbye to that serve. 7-6, 6-4, two

:15:27. > :15:47.sets to love. STUDIO: To setup and I am still

:15:48. > :15:55.trying to recover from Mac's comment "Darn that Sock". We are going to

:15:56. > :15:58.Court One where Feliciano Lopez, he was a break of serve up but it is

:15:59. > :16:07.now back on serve against Nick Dougherty us. Judy Murray tweeted a

:16:08. > :16:11.few years ago about him being "Deliciano". I wonder whether you

:16:12. > :16:16.agree? Many do in our production office. Over here Jo-Wilfried

:16:17. > :16:20.Tsonga, everybody loves to watch him playing, 4-3 up against the big

:16:21. > :16:25.serving American John Isner. That is available to watch online. Simile

:16:26. > :16:30.big names out in action at the moment late in the evening.

:16:31. > :16:37.Radwanska starting up, she is 3-2 up. All of these matches available

:16:38. > :16:43.online on the website, the BBC sport at and connected TVs. Take your pick

:16:44. > :16:51.of who you would like to see. The former finalist 3-2 up in that match

:16:52. > :16:54.on Court three. Lovely to see Juan Martin Del Potro back and playing

:16:55. > :17:00.what looks like his best tennis again, putting out Stan Wawrinka in

:17:01. > :17:07.his first match. Now he is a set and 5-4 up against Lucas Pouille rule of

:17:08. > :17:10.France. I don't think Richard Gasquet will be loving what's

:17:11. > :17:15.happening out here on Court 18. He dropped the opening set 6-2. He's

:17:16. > :17:21.had the train on court. Now serving for a 4-3 lead in the second. Last

:17:22. > :17:26.year 's semifinalist with work to do out on Court 18. So still the crowds

:17:27. > :17:30.here at Wimbledon and of course remember we will be back here

:17:31. > :17:35.tomorrow for people Sunday as well. We'll be on the air from 11:15am and

:17:36. > :17:40.there's bound to be a wonderful atmosphere here at the championship.

:17:41. > :18:15.So, back we go, and back we go to John and Jonathan.

:18:16. > :18:25.Sock has gone big pretty often on that second serve to try to keep

:18:26. > :18:37.Raonic at bay. Discouraging for Sock.

:18:38. > :18:45.Raonic with the really excellent approach shot, staying very low on

:18:46. > :18:50.Sock. He had a hard time even with the spin that he loves to employ to

:18:51. > :18:57.get it down low. Trying to get it at his feet, just couldn't do it. Cut

:18:58. > :19:03.it off nicely. These guys at least know they are going to finish to

:19:04. > :19:04.night. Stress still happening on the outside courts with some of those

:19:05. > :19:44.third-round matches. All on nothing here for Sock who

:19:45. > :19:55.firmly believes it was out, because he's switching sides. Let's see if

:19:56. > :20:05.he's right because if he isn't its deuce. He is wrong. He rolled the

:20:06. > :20:10.dice. They used titanium pigment now. I have a little experience with

:20:11. > :20:31.chalk flying up. Apparently it doesn't happen that often.

:20:32. > :20:38.That's a spectacular play by Raonic, utilising the slice to the forehand

:20:39. > :20:47.side, surprising him. Looked to be deliberately shorter, here. Really

:20:48. > :20:50.made life difficult for Sock. If he was to lose this point he's going to

:20:51. > :21:05.be severely bumped. Probably the best serve his hit.

:21:06. > :21:10.Definitely some type of chalk flew up. The only issue is whether it was

:21:11. > :21:48.long. It certainly wasn't wide. All this talk about chalk, have you

:21:49. > :21:56.seen Viktor Troicki's knock-down from the other day? I have to take a

:21:57. > :21:59.closer look, I only saw bits of it. I will have to watch start to finish

:22:00. > :22:19.to see if the point stands. Good play from Sock, really nice. No

:22:20. > :22:27.question he was in deep, deep trouble if he were to lose that

:22:28. > :22:30.game. In a number of ways. He's starting to get into some rallies

:22:31. > :22:35.and utilise that forehand and take advantage of that strength, push

:22:36. > :22:40.Raonic around the court. That felt almost like match point. I know it's

:22:41. > :22:46.early but he would have been so discouraged, I think, it would have

:22:47. > :22:49.been hard to recover. This gives him a little pep in his walk right now.

:22:50. > :22:55.A good lesson for young players like that lad watching on, it's easy to

:22:56. > :23:03.switch off mentally, especially after a couple of really tight sets

:23:04. > :23:09.when the odd point hasn't gone away. Sock has remained competitive

:23:10. > :23:12.throughout, and still believes. We watched one of the greatest players

:23:13. > :23:17.that ever lived, you say top five, I would put him close to that category

:23:18. > :23:27.if not already, tap out, check out the second set against Querrey,

:23:28. > :23:35.Djokovic last night. And that maybe cost him the match. How much

:23:36. > :23:40.choosing that is now in these guys minds? I'm sure everybody in the

:23:41. > :23:48.locker room was glued to the set watching that. Exhilarating and

:23:49. > :23:59.stressful at the same times for guys to see this opportunity before their

:24:00. > :24:01.eyes. Raonic, for example, zero and seven against Djokovic. No question

:24:02. > :24:20.it improves his chances. Nicolas Mahut,, regulations to him.

:24:21. > :24:22.He will be playing Sam Querrey. Playing as well or better than he

:24:23. > :24:39.ever has. He was going to be remembered for,

:24:40. > :24:42.and he will be, for the loss, 70-68 in the fifth. He's got the chance to

:24:43. > :24:48.be remembered for something else on the single is called now. That is

:24:49. > :24:51.amazing this late in his career. Querrey's whole career could turn

:24:52. > :25:05.around if he was going to make a big run. It's a strong volley. Doesn't

:25:06. > :25:11.take a whole lot of steps for a guy that big to get close to the net.

:25:12. > :25:16.Got some bad options if you are Sock, it's hard to take a swing at

:25:17. > :25:23.it, you try to block it back, if he moves well, Raonic, he's going to

:25:24. > :25:33.cut it off. Which he's done so far in this match. She's looking

:25:34. > :25:39.relaxed, I'm sure, Judy Murray. Do you know the guy on the left? From

:25:40. > :25:43.the dancing show. Strictly. Ever been approached for that? I could

:25:44. > :25:49.see that. Don't even get people thinking about it. You don't want to

:25:50. > :25:53.see that. Here's what's happening outside around the grounds. Let's

:25:54. > :26:00.take a little look at Wimbledon at 7:55pm. And that is not a bad way to

:26:01. > :26:06.spend your Saturday evening, is it? In the sun, watching some wonderful

:26:07. > :26:17.tennis going on, bit of doubles. Some key singles matches still

:26:18. > :26:23.continuing. There's another American. We are to fit too. Not

:26:24. > :26:31.looking great for Sock at the moment. Isner, Tsonga, guess what,

:26:32. > :26:41.probably a first set tie-break. What a shocking turn of events there!

:26:42. > :26:49.Raonic getting better looks at his return, Sock's generally playing

:26:50. > :27:00.better off the ground. Definitely under the gun, Sock, right now.

:27:01. > :27:03.That's not a good shot. Feeling a lot of pressure. That's what Raonic

:27:04. > :27:16.does to you. Only previous time he slipped to

:27:17. > :27:26.0-30 on his serve, Jack Sock, he lost his serve, that was in the

:27:27. > :27:33.seventh game of the second set. And he was just a little hesitant coming

:27:34. > :27:37.in! That is dead on. I was just thinking he should use his skills at

:27:38. > :27:40.the net and take it to Raonic, he decided to do that, hesitated, then

:27:41. > :28:16.moved forward but couldn't cover that shot, beautiful passing shot.

:28:17. > :28:57.First break two more potentially to come.

:28:58. > :29:09.Ooh. That was a lot more difficult than it looked for Sock, there. It's

:29:10. > :29:16.what Raonic was trying to do, hit it short, spin it away from Sock. He

:29:17. > :29:22.just hustled up and gave it a ride. Uses his wrist on that forehand more

:29:23. > :29:33.than anyone in the game and he needed to, there. Still has to save

:29:34. > :29:48.this one more. See if Raonic attacks this second serve.

:29:49. > :30:02.Certainly could have given that a ride and tensed up. Thinking might

:30:03. > :30:24.be saving that replay for the debrief!

:30:25. > :30:30.It was admirable enthusiasm from Jack Sock, fighting hard, often

:30:31. > :30:36.playing some of his best tennis when his back is against the wall. It is

:30:37. > :30:52.all you can ask from April. -- it is all you can ask from a pro-.

:30:53. > :31:04.Exactly right. His back was against the wall. He has two B disappointed,

:31:05. > :31:14.the way that game was handled at 0-40. They both knew how critical it

:31:15. > :31:19.was. It was seemingly over. Again, that breathed some life into Sock.

:31:20. > :31:25.0-40, that is impressive. Especially in a match like this, a game of

:31:26. > :31:30.chance is that are few and far between. He lost the second set, and

:31:31. > :31:40.it cost him. Here in the third set, he has faced four break points and

:31:41. > :31:44.won them all. That is good. It is good. He is trying to find a way to

:31:45. > :31:49.make himself believe he can do this. His record is good, he has won only

:31:50. > :31:51.one out of eight matches against Routledge. His worst loss out of all

:31:52. > :32:18.of those was here. So, -- one out of eight matches

:32:19. > :32:33.against Brown which -- Raonic. A good time for the English rugby team

:32:34. > :32:36.at the moment. This is a good time for Sock. Raonic has to keep his

:32:37. > :32:44.focus, forget about what happened. It could be a golden opportunity,

:32:45. > :32:45.keep his intensity on his serve. He was guiding it, he wasn't doing much

:32:46. > :33:31.with it. Tell us a bit about what he is like

:33:32. > :33:45.to work with. Here's a fine man, me loss, intelligent. -- he is a fine

:33:46. > :33:52.man, Milos, intelligent. He understands and wants to add more to

:33:53. > :33:57.his game. He has a better comfort level at the net. To me, he clearly

:33:58. > :34:01.could have taken that with two hands. I don't want to be a

:34:02. > :34:06.back-seat driver, but he could have taken it and ripped it. As an

:34:07. > :34:16.opponent, you want to see him guide as many balls as possible.

:34:17. > :34:22.He has a good team around him, works hard on his fitness, his

:34:23. > :34:45.flexibility, his speed. This game is a direct result of

:34:46. > :34:53.losing that 0-40 lead. Just his second double fault of the match. He

:34:54. > :34:58.let it down at 170 miles per are. From 0-40 in the previous game on

:34:59. > :35:01.the Sock serve, now Raonic is facing a break point on his own serve. Is

:35:02. > :35:21.this the start of a Sock fightback? Sock knows that his backhand is not

:35:22. > :35:27.as good as his forehand, so he is expecting a ball out wide. It is

:35:28. > :35:38.impossible for anyone, if you hit your spot as well as Milos did

:35:39. > :35:45.there. There it is again. Sock has got a huge grip change that he

:35:46. > :36:00.employs. It is tough to get full swing on his forehand, too.

:36:01. > :36:09.Clever. A good effort by both guys, really. To hold serve in the service

:36:10. > :36:26.games. Sock, from 0-40. They have both faced break points in

:36:27. > :36:36.three of their last four service games. Which is in stark contrast to

:36:37. > :36:43.the first hour of tennis we saw. That is a huge return. Raonic has a

:36:44. > :36:50.big forehand. It is tough to get the ball out wide on him, he is so tall.

:36:51. > :37:13.Sock thought he hit a pretty good serve.

:37:14. > :37:19.His forehand has got better and better as this match has moved

:37:20. > :37:43.along. He is starting to make an impact with Raonic.

:37:44. > :37:49.It's not a bad play to go up the middle at time against any player,

:37:50. > :37:57.take away their wrangle, and if they don't hit it that cleanly, it allows

:37:58. > :38:00.you to go from your shot. -- take away their angle. He will be

:38:01. > :38:03.extremely disappointed he missed that ball. Puts pressure back on him

:38:04. > :38:21.again. That's good defence by Raonic, a

:38:22. > :38:26.really good effort. I'm surprised Sock doesn't move forward and take

:38:27. > :38:34.some of those balls in the air. Like there. He sees Raonic is slicing a

:38:35. > :38:44.forehand. It gives Raonic again an opportunity to break.

:38:45. > :38:51.Those opportunities that we see, watching a match, we think, come in,

:38:52. > :38:57.come in - is that natural feel, being wary of the threat? I think it

:38:58. > :39:01.is a combination of the both, but you can learn that, too. You slowly

:39:02. > :39:11.try to seep it into your bloodstream.

:39:12. > :39:16.Players hit it so hard, with so much spin, that you become hesitant

:39:17. > :39:49.coming forward. It's understandable. Sock's second serve, by the way, was

:39:50. > :40:48.118. He went for it and it paid off. And he has come through another one.

:40:49. > :40:52.Six break points he has faced and saved in this sector. He is

:40:53. > :41:04.resilient, the American, and he fights on. 3-2. -- in this set. SUE

:41:05. > :41:07.BARKER: With Raonic two set up, we're going to leave us a bit you

:41:08. > :41:11.want to continue, watch on the red button. We will be heading off to

:41:12. > :41:15.watch Nick Kyrgios in a moment. First, there are so much happening,

:41:16. > :41:19.it is very busy here at Wimbledon. Many stars are in action, and you

:41:20. > :41:29.can watch them online because they are available on the app.

:41:30. > :41:41.Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is in trouble. You can watch that online. No such

:41:42. > :41:46.problems for Agnieszka Radwanska, the third seed, after coming through

:41:47. > :41:55.that marathon the other day. She is 6-3, 2-1 up in her match on Court

:41:56. > :41:59.three. Again, that is online. Juan Martin del Potro, he put out Stan

:42:00. > :42:11.Wawrinka in the opening round, took the first set in the tie-break but

:42:12. > :42:17.dropped the second to Lucas Pouille of France. That is on Court well. We

:42:18. > :42:21.will be heading over to Court Number One to join the match live in a

:42:22. > :42:26.moment, but Nick Kyrgios has called on the train onto the court because

:42:27. > :42:33.of a nosebleed. This was a moment ago. Anyone who has had this done

:42:34. > :42:38.knows that it is not pleasant. I feel for him, I really do, but the

:42:39. > :42:44.trainer was on court for some time. They resumed play. It obviously did

:42:45. > :42:52.the trick because he has just broken Lopez to go up 5-3. Here he is,

:42:53. > :42:59.serving for the first set. We can join Peter Fleming and John Imber

:43:00. > :43:03.Dale, who can tell is more. At 11am today, looking at all the courts,

:43:04. > :43:06.this was the match that stood out as potentially the Match of the Day.

:43:07. > :43:14.Little will read to know what was going to happen. This match has

:43:15. > :43:18.lived up to its billing and has been fantastic, it really has. The

:43:19. > :43:25.quality from both sides of the net has been incredible. We had a little

:43:26. > :43:35.bit of medical time-out, but he then broke Lopez's server and here years

:43:36. > :43:39.serving for the first set. -- broke Lopez's serve. UR overstating it,

:43:40. > :43:42.there was no controversy unless you want to make it up! -- you are

:43:43. > :43:55.overstating it. A straightforward medical time-out.

:43:56. > :44:00.I mean, it did disrupt the rhythm of the first set. When did you last see

:44:01. > :44:08.a player have a medical time-out for a stuffed nose?

:44:09. > :44:20.That's the way to do it. Nose or no nos. He is one set to the good, Nick

:44:21. > :44:24.Kyrgios. We have had some sensational tennis in this first

:44:25. > :44:28.set, one rally in particular, which Lopez won with a backhand volley at

:44:29. > :44:43.the net. It was just truly marvellous from both sides. So the

:44:44. > :44:48.7- has -- so the almost 8000 people seem to be drifting back from other

:44:49. > :44:54.courts after hearing about the quality of this. Where'd you sit on

:44:55. > :44:59.the potential of Nick Kyrgios to be a world number one? I think he is a

:45:00. > :45:04.strong candidate for that. He has a fewer wrinkles to iron out in terms

:45:05. > :45:09.of his mental approach, but physically he has got it all. As you

:45:10. > :45:14.can see, the stats don't really tell the whole story. Kyrgios clearly,

:45:15. > :45:21.after the first game where he lost his serve, dominated on serve. That,

:45:22. > :45:31.I guess, was the difference, but you know, he is a war rear, Kyrgios. He

:45:32. > :45:36.competes most of the time. From time to time, though, he gets more

:45:37. > :45:40.involved with the things that are going on around him than actually

:45:41. > :45:48.just focusing on the next shot, the next point. But it is what makes him

:45:49. > :45:54.pretty fun to watch. That is going to sell some tickets in the next ten

:45:55. > :45:58.years. The prize for the winner of this is a match in the last 16

:45:59. > :46:00.against Andy Murray on Monday, and Lopez has been at that stage at

:46:01. > :46:15.Wimbledon six times in the past. He played his first Grand Slam

:46:16. > :46:20.tournament went Kyrgios was just six years old.

:46:21. > :46:29.Peter and I were discussing earlier on in the first set how amazing it

:46:30. > :46:43.is that this is his 59th consecutive Grand Slam tournament.

:46:44. > :46:55.Yeah, what a great athlete he is. To be able to go that long.

:46:56. > :47:04.To go that long and never have a major injury. It is not like his

:47:05. > :47:08.style is really easy. OK, he serves great, winds cheap points off that,

:47:09. > :47:15.but his ground strokes are not that powerful, so he has to do a lot of

:47:16. > :47:51.running during backcourt rallies. How's that? Ha-ha. It is one of the

:47:52. > :47:59.greatest exchanges you will ever see on a tennis court. Kyrgios took the

:48:00. > :48:06.bat, no, he just missed it. But he took it back as if he was going to

:48:07. > :48:14.hit a drop shot, Lopez charged, Kyrgios hit a hard slice, Lopez

:48:15. > :48:23.reacted to it. And the rest in student. -- the rest followed. This

:48:24. > :48:27.match obviously won't finish tonight, which is a shame, but it

:48:28. > :48:37.means that presumably they will be back here on Court One tomorrow.

:48:38. > :49:17.All the people who are here tomorrow are in for an absolute treat.

:49:18. > :49:25.You proved earlier on in the medical time-out is that you are a doctor of

:49:26. > :49:34.medicine. As a doctor of meteorology, do you think they can

:49:35. > :49:50.get this set into night? -- in tonight.

:49:51. > :50:00.Unless this set finishes 6-1 to one player they other -- to one player

:50:01. > :50:03.or the other, I can't see them finishing this tonight. He will be

:50:04. > :50:42.part of the decision. But actually, John, in fact, the

:50:43. > :50:49.first set to 35 minutes. If this one also takes 35 men's, that takes

:50:50. > :50:59.hours to 8:50pm, so they might say, let's give this a shot. It is a

:51:00. > :51:04.spectacular night. The views from Henman Hill looking across London

:51:05. > :51:11.will be magnificent. , With no cloud, they could go to 9:20pm,

:51:12. > :51:22.9:30pm. Remember the Nadal Federer epic?

:51:23. > :51:30.Kyrgios was screaming at himself on the point before that one, now it is

:51:31. > :51:34.Lopez screening. Lopez has been giving verbal to his camp almost

:51:35. > :51:41.nonstop for the last half an hour or so. Yeah, it is almost Murray -esque

:51:42. > :52:16.from the French Open. The work and the slice on some of

:52:17. > :52:22.these shots is a sight to behold, it really is, from both sides. There

:52:23. > :52:34.they are, taking their fair share of abuse.

:52:35. > :52:47.A shout from Kyrgios. Mumbling from Lopez. 1-1. This is like a boxing

:52:48. > :52:50.match, isn't it? Big, heavy blows being traded between a couple of

:52:51. > :53:02.real heavyweights. And yet, just occasionally, the most

:53:03. > :53:25.fantastic field, delicate shots as well. -- the most fantastic feel.

:53:26. > :53:30.I suppose that's when the coaching panel say, but we didn't stick it in

:53:31. > :54:05.the net. You have to say, how much more

:54:06. > :54:08.entertaining and enjoyable is an experience like this, watching these

:54:09. > :54:15.two guys with so much interaction with themselves, the opponent, the

:54:16. > :54:52.crowd? This is fantastic entertainment. Look at Kyrgios now.

:54:53. > :55:03.That was a great return from Kyrgios. Lopez's ventures, by and

:55:04. > :55:13.large, to the net have not been successful. No? His volleying has

:55:14. > :55:14.not been quite as accurate or aggressive as he has needed it to

:55:15. > :55:30.be. Lopez is talking to his coaching

:55:31. > :55:38.team, whether he wins or loses the point.

:55:39. > :55:54.A pretty conclusive service came from the Spaniard. -- service game.

:55:55. > :56:05.Here we have further medical attention for Nick Kyrgios. Is this

:56:06. > :56:17.for his nose again? I can't hear, sadly, on the umpire's microphone

:56:18. > :56:18.what is happening. Well, the doctor came on and

:56:19. > :56:24.then left, did he leave him a spray or something? I don't know what he

:56:25. > :56:40.delivered, if anything. SUE BARKER: We are coming to the end

:56:41. > :56:46.of our transmission on BBC Two, because today at Wimbledon is next.

:56:47. > :56:52.If you want to continue watching this match, you can. It continues

:56:53. > :56:57.online. So, Lopez and Kyrgios, whether they will finish tonight, we

:56:58. > :56:59.just don't know. They will likely be back tomorrow, but that continues

:57:00. > :57:07.online if you want to see this match. Play continues elsewhere, and

:57:08. > :57:15.on the red button at the moment, Milos Raonic up against Jack Sock.

:57:16. > :57:30.Raonic 2-0 in sets. That matches on the red button. -- that match is on

:57:31. > :57:39.the red button. John Isner is up. That is online. I discover --

:57:40. > :57:46.Agnieszka Radwanska is close. She is up against Siniakova of the Czech

:57:47. > :57:54.Republic. These matches are all online if you want to see them. Juan

:57:55. > :57:58.Martin del Potro is at 1-1 with Lucas Pouille. That might be held

:57:59. > :58:05.off until tomorrow. 3-3 in the third set. And Court 18, Richard Gasquet,

:58:06. > :58:13.last year's semifinals, he is back in it. He has taken the second set

:58:14. > :58:18.on the tie-break, so 1-1 in sets in that match. A busy day here, and
