:00:49. > :00:59.COMMENTATOR: Arguably the greatest champion of all time.

:01:00. > :01:49.COMMENTATOR: Roger Federer takes another step towards history.

:01:50. > :02:06.What a champion here at Wimbledon. The first man to win eight

:02:07. > :02:16.Championships. Yes, eight is the magic number. What

:02:17. > :02:21.a journey it has been for Roger over the years. The styles and appearance

:02:22. > :02:24.may have changed but his dominance remains, a record 8th Wimbledon

:02:25. > :02:28.title, becoming the first man ever in the history of the Championship

:02:29. > :02:33.to win the title eight times. His 19th Grand Slam title in all. So all

:02:34. > :02:36.the great champions were here courtside to watch this

:02:37. > :02:41.record-breaking champion, including the man who coached him for a couple

:02:42. > :02:44.of years, six-time Grand Slam winner, Stefan Edberg. He's been

:02:45. > :02:49.talking to Phil Jones. Stefan, great to see you and on this occasion of

:02:50. > :03:01.all occasions, history, Roger's done it. What is the mood in the camp

:03:02. > :03:06.right now? Well, I think, as you would imagine, extremely happy. He's

:03:07. > :03:12.had a fantastic year. He has worked really hard. Like he said, last year

:03:13. > :03:16.he didn't know if he would be here but what he did during the

:03:17. > :03:19.Championships is astonishing, going through without losing a set and

:03:20. > :03:24.winning the 8th title. He fully deserves it, he is such a champion

:03:25. > :03:31.And the enormity of what he has done at 35 is defying the years. Yeah,

:03:32. > :03:36.gives hope for everyone. Doesn't it? It is quite extraordinary. He is so

:03:37. > :03:41.special in many ways, you know. The way he plays, he is very

:03:42. > :03:46.conservative. The way he moves, he is in great shape. He still wants to

:03:47. > :03:52.work hard and improve his game. That's why he is here. He has taken

:03:53. > :03:57.a the opportunity this year when a lot of the other top players have

:03:58. > :04:01.fallen out before You know what this game can do to your body playing

:04:02. > :04:09.week-in and week-out, how sensible has it been for him to take time out

:04:10. > :04:13.and manage the year, with the help of you? Well definitely. We have the

:04:14. > :04:16.answers now but sometimes it is worrying when you win tournaments in

:04:17. > :04:21.the middle of the year and it is only March and you take the next

:04:22. > :04:26.months off, not playing or competing, so you are taking a risk,

:04:27. > :04:31.but you are calculating he is going to do well on the grass and get a

:04:32. > :04:35.few matches before the tournament. You know it turned out to be the

:04:36. > :04:40.right decision. We talk about so many of the great players in the

:04:41. > :04:45.game, Rod Laver is watching, do you think cements Roger's place as the

:04:46. > :04:50.greatest of all time? I would think so. Rod Laver, I never saw him play,

:04:51. > :04:54.but what I have seen from Roger playing, he is the greatest, in my

:04:55. > :05:00.eyes anyway. I think it is proven now with 19 Grand Slam titles. He

:05:01. > :05:06.has won here eight times. Done well in all surfaces. He is wonderful so

:05:07. > :05:11.watch. So much talent. It is worth going out to watch him. You always

:05:12. > :05:13.know there are going to be terrific shots. Wonderful to watch,

:05:14. > :05:16.congratulations to him, you and the team. Enjoy the celebrations

:05:17. > :05:24.tonight. SUE BARKER: Yes as Roger and the

:05:25. > :05:30.team celebrate we witnessed the other side. He walked out to court

:05:31. > :05:36.with an injury. A bad blister on his foot. It got worse. He couldn't hit

:05:37. > :05:41.the ground shots as much as he would like and he couldn't move to the

:05:42. > :05:44.corners of the court. He called for the doctor but emotional scenes.

:05:45. > :05:47.Frustrated about the fact he is in his first Wimbledon fighter and he

:05:48. > :05:52.can't play at his best and challenge the great man, Roger Federer. An

:05:53. > :05:57.emotional Marin Cilic completed the match and he bravely thought on. Now

:05:58. > :06:01.let's hear what he had to say to Phil after the match. First of all,

:06:02. > :06:03.commiserations on the day but congratulations on a wonderful

:06:04. > :06:09.tournament. I know it has not ended the way you want, take us through

:06:10. > :06:15.what you were going through? First of all, I wasn't myself on the court

:06:16. > :06:20.and I didn't have a chance to congratulate Roger. I really don't

:06:21. > :06:26.want to take down his victory. He just did an unbelievable achievement

:06:27. > :06:30.and all credit for him for making it to the final. Also, I want to say

:06:31. > :06:36.that these injuries and everything, that is part of the sport.

:06:37. > :06:42.Unfortunately for me, it happened on a really bad day, unfortunate

:06:43. > :06:48.moment. At my semifinal match with Sam, I started to feel my foot a

:06:49. > :06:55.little bit. After the match it actually wasn't too bad. The physios

:06:56. > :06:59.here, Alexander and Graham and Dr Phil helped me after that and

:07:00. > :07:04.unfortunately the day after, so yesterday in the morning, the

:07:05. > :07:11.situation got worse. I got a lot of fluid in my foot. We tried to take

:07:12. > :07:14.care of it and even the doctor was trying to help with everything he

:07:15. > :07:18.could. But unfortunately on the match I still felt the pain and it

:07:19. > :07:24.was just causing me to react slower than usual and I wasn't just able to

:07:25. > :07:29.move the way I can. It seemed like the realisation hit you at 3-0 in

:07:30. > :07:35.the second set and emotions came out understandably. Did you then think -

:07:36. > :07:43.this might be t I might have to not carry on in the match? It hit me

:07:44. > :07:49.because I know how much time it took me and almost how much hard work it

:07:50. > :07:53.took me to make it here. So everything basically I did in the

:07:54. > :07:57.last several months and probably the rest of my career to reach to this

:07:58. > :08:02.point and also feeling that I was playing maybe the best tennis, ever

:08:03. > :08:09.of my career and realising at that moment that I'm unable to get to the

:08:10. > :08:15.best level I can. And also realising that, you know, my chances for

:08:16. > :08:26.winning are close to 0.1%. When you had your foot retaped, you seemed to

:08:27. > :08:32.rebound a little bit. What is going through your mind then? I tried to

:08:33. > :08:35.focus on my game and everything I needed to do in the court to

:08:36. > :08:39.encourage myself in that direction to be a bit more positive. I was

:08:40. > :08:44.also battling from one side, thoughts that every time I had to

:08:45. > :08:52.step a little bit harder on my foot it was causing me pain and the other

:08:53. > :08:58.way I had to just be a little bit more stronger in my mind toll block

:08:59. > :09:04.it. -- to block it. I tried to give my best and I did, I fought to the

:09:05. > :09:08.end and definitely, still again, I want to congratulate Roger on a huge

:09:09. > :09:12.achievement. I have spoken to your coach, Jonas Bjorkman, he said how

:09:13. > :09:19.proud the team are of you and what you are able to do but also how

:09:20. > :09:23.proud he was you carried on, because it would've been easy to stop and

:09:24. > :09:27.Roger wouldn't have been able to have that victorious moment. It says

:09:28. > :09:32.a lot of your character, don't you think? I know how you would feel on

:09:33. > :09:38.the other side of the court. I wanted to push myself, obviously, on

:09:39. > :09:42.the one hand because of me and also because of Roger and all the fans

:09:43. > :09:47.around the world watching, just to try to give the best I could. You

:09:48. > :09:53.know, there is nothing in my mind, even now, thinking that I could do

:09:54. > :09:59.something more. We are so sorry for the way it ended for you. Thank you

:10:00. > :10:07.for what you did in the tournament and you have a whole new bunch of

:10:08. > :10:12.fans who want to see you back next year to give it another crack, fully

:10:13. > :10:16.fit. Thank you. Definitely. I enjoyed my time here and this has

:10:17. > :10:20.given me amazing memories, amazing feelings in these last few weeks and

:10:21. > :10:23.really looking forward to come back here and to give myself another

:10:24. > :10:28.chance to get that trophy. Marin, you are a true gentlemen. Thank you.

:10:29. > :10:33.SUE BARKER: We look forward to welcoming him back. He is a nice

:10:34. > :10:37.gynaecologist a class act. I'm sure we will see him back in a Wimbledon

:10:38. > :10:40.final. He has the weapons to challenge the big four. We have

:10:41. > :10:56.heard from Marin Cilic now let's hear from our coach, Jonas Bjorkman.

:10:57. > :11:00.PHIL JONES: It was a hard watch for us, how was it for you?

:11:01. > :11:03.Heartbreaking. You know this is something he has been dreaming

:11:04. > :11:10.about, playing a Wimbledon final. You want to go out and feel good and

:11:11. > :11:16.play as good as you can and win or lose, at least to really make it a

:11:17. > :11:23.good battle out there and you know, seeing him suffer like that,

:11:24. > :11:28.obviously it is hurting the whole team. But I'm very proud of him. He

:11:29. > :11:34.fought through the pain and finished the match. I think it was great for

:11:35. > :11:38.everyone and for Roger, for winning it that way and also for the

:11:39. > :11:43.spectators watching it. Can you explain to us what the problem was?

:11:44. > :11:50.He has been having a very bad blister, ugly blister under his left

:11:51. > :11:54.foot. Unfortunately, he felt it a little bit after the match on

:11:55. > :12:01.Friday. You know it got worse and worse and I tried as hard as I could

:12:02. > :12:06.this morning to get it a little bit better. I would say, it looked

:12:07. > :12:10.promising last night but after practise today he felt it was still

:12:11. > :12:17.bothering him a lot. I think after maybe five or six games he started

:12:18. > :12:22.to feel it in the match. When he had it retaped and extra padding on, it

:12:23. > :12:32.seemed he rebounded, did you sense that watching from the box? Yeah, I

:12:33. > :12:37.did. How do you say it - you change, make the a hole and release the

:12:38. > :12:41.pressure a bit. I think they made it bigger, which helped him a little

:12:42. > :12:45.bit. That was obviously nice. We were obviously hoping, when you are

:12:46. > :12:49.sitting there, that it would get Bert and better, but still every

:12:50. > :12:56.time -- better and better, but every time Roger was playing him left or

:12:57. > :13:01.right you could see it was still not perfect. But nonetheless, you have

:13:02. > :13:06.to be proud of the run he has had here and the performance he has put

:13:07. > :13:09.in to be in this grand occasion today. Absolutely. The whole team is

:13:10. > :13:12.really proud of what Marin has achieved in the last couple of weeks

:13:13. > :13:17.and especially here in the Wimbledon final. It is definitely a special

:13:18. > :13:21.place for him. I knew he had really high hopes going into this match.

:13:22. > :13:27.Obviously he has to regroup and go sort of through the pain a little

:13:28. > :13:33.bit but I think in the next couple of days he will look back and feel

:13:34. > :13:37.that he had a whole great run and hopefully he can come back stronger

:13:38. > :13:43.and hopefully he gets the chance it lift the trophy once. Let's hope so.

:13:44. > :13:47.We all send him our best. SUE BARKER: We do indeed and Jonas

:13:48. > :13:51.has made a difference in Marin's game and I'm sure he will continue

:13:52. > :13:58.to improve and we will see him back here. Everyone making their way home

:13:59. > :14:02.but they have thoroughly enjoyed ed the day and enjoyed the matches on

:14:03. > :14:08.Centre Court. And after that it was the mixed doubles final with British

:14:09. > :14:13.players on both side but won by Jamie Murray, serving at match point

:14:14. > :14:18.with his partner, Martina Hingis, they feted Heather Watson and Henri

:14:19. > :14:23.Kontinen. 6-4, 6-4. So another doubles title for Jamie Murray and

:14:24. > :14:28.another for Martina Hingis. That's her 18th Grand Slam doubles title to

:14:29. > :14:29.add to singles success as well. Everyone enjoying the mixed doubles

:14:30. > :14:43.final on Centre Court. So, we do have some more tennis for

:14:44. > :14:49.you and Roger Federer will be making his way it the stewed yes later as

:14:50. > :14:56.well to talk about the final. And more future Grand Slam title. But we

:14:57. > :15:02.have tins, we will take -- in the studio. We will take you back to a

:15:03. > :15:10.bash on number one. This is the legends of the game. Cara back and

:15:11. > :15:15.Martina Navratilova up against Sanchez Vicario, and Sfar. It was

:15:16. > :15:21.6-2 to Black and Navarro in the first set. And 2-0 in the second.

:15:22. > :15:36.Let's join the commentators on Court One. Tracy Austin and Chris Bradnam.

:15:37. > :15:41.A really important game here for Sfar to hold. Put the pressure on

:15:42. > :15:57.Navarro and Black. Black has been interesting technique

:15:58. > :16:02.with the slice. And almost, you would think, OK, with her return in

:16:03. > :16:06.doubles, you want to whip it down to the feet, yet she's able it craft

:16:07. > :16:24.things, even off the slice. I suppose I'm saying her hand skills

:16:25. > :16:31.are that good. Is it possible to train for that? You can definitely

:16:32. > :16:35.work for that. You can hit the slice, hit the return, very

:16:36. > :16:40.strategic. This is a very enjoyable match to watch the it is not all

:16:41. > :16:43.with power. A lot of creativity, trying to hit awkward positions for

:16:44. > :16:59.their opponents. Oh, well, I'm not sure whose racket

:17:00. > :17:03.it came off, but they'll take it. Either way, a perfect volley on

:17:04. > :17:08.grass. Just the dropped volley. A chance to get the break straight

:17:09. > :17:40.back in this second set. A stunner of a return from Navarro.

:17:41. > :17:42.And they break straight back but it is Vicario and Sfar who lead in the

:17:43. > :17:57.second set, 2-1. A pretty full house, isn't it? Of

:17:58. > :18:03.course, they witnessed the boys' singles final on here a few moments

:18:04. > :18:08.ago. Was this the favourite of your slams or were you a big favourite of

:18:09. > :18:14.the US Open, of course? Well, I think I love the history, being here

:18:15. > :18:19.at Wimbledon. It was the slam that you always wanted to come play the

:18:20. > :18:22.most but the grass is a very difficult surface, particularly the

:18:23. > :18:26.surface we played on back then was so much faster and there were so

:18:27. > :18:33.many serve and volley players and in my era, probably half were serve and

:18:34. > :18:38.volleyers, so I always felt they had a little bit of advantage because,

:18:39. > :18:43.it's obviously they don't have to hit the ball off the bounce and get

:18:44. > :18:48.the awkward bounces, so, yeah, I think the US Open was eventually my

:18:49. > :18:52.favourite tournament because of the surface, but I love the history

:18:53. > :18:59.here, the beauty. And if you are watching and never been before, I

:19:00. > :19:06.would advise to go, to experience it, if you can get a ground pass or

:19:07. > :19:13.a spot on Court One. If there is only one you can go to, this is the

:19:14. > :19:19.one to go to of the four. Again, Black makes it look so easy.

:19:20. > :19:27.Great communication between these two. Where to serve and cross.

:19:28. > :19:35.Now, that's a tactic that I think maybe we will see more and go up the

:19:36. > :19:40.line on the return, just to take that section away from Black. We

:19:41. > :19:44.have seen her anticipate and poach quite often.

:19:45. > :19:49.A little dummy there that time from the did I Babb wean. So a little

:19:50. > :20:10.change-up there. She hasn't lost too many points on

:20:11. > :20:26.serve, Navarro. -- Martina Navratilova.

:20:27. > :20:48.The best forehand return from Sanchez Vicario all day.

:20:49. > :20:55.Again poaching at the net, Cara Black. Right on top of the volley.

:20:56. > :20:57.The closest that Martina Navratilova has come to dropping a serve but

:20:58. > :21:32.still able to hold. This is a real treat for the crowd.

:21:33. > :21:47.I think Martina is the best doubles player in the history of our sport.

:21:48. > :21:54.Certainly on the women's side. Look who she won with, Chris Everitt, Pam

:21:55. > :21:59.Skriefr and Billy Jean King. Those are all great players but my point

:22:00. > :22:04.is, it seems like it is Martina and whoever. I was going to ask you that

:22:05. > :22:06.question in terms of how important is communication in establishing a

:22:07. > :22:12.partnership but Martina Navratilova someone who has been able to win

:22:13. > :22:13.with whoever she plays with. A couple of droplets of rain

:22:14. > :22:27.incidentally. Nothing too heavy. It's the amount of times that

:22:28. > :22:34.Martina Navratilova has been able to win, as you say that victory at the

:22:35. > :22:40.US Open in 2003 in the Wimbledon in the mixed with Leander Paes. A great

:22:41. > :22:51.return. Those returns are so consistent.

:22:52. > :23:04.Navratilova has found the rhythm on that return.

:23:05. > :23:08.Black gets that return down so low without anything on it. You have to

:23:09. > :23:58.dig it out. Three brilliant returns in a row and

:23:59. > :24:03.Arantxa Sanchez Vicario would like that volley back again. The seco

:24:04. > :24:30.break point of the game. Well, they were a break down but now

:24:31. > :24:35.they are a break up. They've turned this second set on its head, Black

:24:36. > :24:40.and Navratilova. Break once more and lead 3-2.

:24:41. > :24:47.Well, you mentioned a few moments ago a couple of spots of rain. That

:24:48. > :24:51.was about it. It is a little cloudier today. It has been a

:24:52. > :24:57.wonderful two weeks. We have seen so much sunshine and so there has only

:24:58. > :25:05.been one, one day when we had about half a day of rain? Other than that,

:25:06. > :25:10.that's what we have needed. Yes, it has been so wrong. I've barely

:25:11. > :25:15.needed a sweater this whole time. You never know what to pack when you

:25:16. > :25:19.come to Wimbledon We are used to it. The British summer weather. Yeah,

:25:20. > :25:28.never knowing what to wear each day. A glorious two weeks and still

:25:29. > :25:31.stories to be made, of course. Very much to have to pack your sunglasses

:25:32. > :25:49.and the jumper. So three games in a row for Black

:25:50. > :25:52.and Navratilova. Can they continue the momentum here? Well that's a

:25:53. > :26:02.lovely return. As soon as the toss moved up,

:26:03. > :26:04.Arantxa moved three feet to her right. She was ready for that to

:26:05. > :27:50.come to her forehand. Her and Sanchez Vicario, they are

:27:51. > :28:09.returning much better this second set. More variety.

:28:10. > :28:30.Noose' not going to help her either. -- that's not going to help her,

:28:31. > :28:35.either. Yeah, you are right. Did all the hard work there. Still a break

:28:36. > :29:48.point. A body serve and again, another tidy

:29:49. > :30:47.pick-up from Black. Frustration there with time on the

:30:48. > :31:48.ball. Long game, this one. Oh! That's a real body serve. A game

:31:49. > :31:52.we have here is called French cricket where you try to get a

:31:53. > :31:59.cricket bat to stop someone hitting your knees, and it was that kind of

:32:00. > :32:27.return. Much racking up from the first serve.

:32:28. > :32:36.That's a terrific way to spread the court, that sharp angle return, just

:32:37. > :33:45.slice, death touch, then up the line with power.

:33:46. > :33:51.Really connecting on that backhand return now. Very pivotal game, this

:33:52. > :34:09.second set. Well. Seen a few of those today!

:34:10. > :34:26.Could be costly for Cara Black. Third break point of the game.

:34:27. > :34:42.Smart to change it up, that forehand side is not quite as dialled in.

:34:43. > :34:52.LAUGHTER. Just the other side there, Arantxa Sanchez Vicario bouncing the

:34:53. > :34:56.ball on Selima Sfar's head. Just not committing to that forehand, just a

:34:57. > :35:12.little tension, not getting all the way through with Rakitic speed.

:35:13. > :35:25.-- racket hit speed. Oh, found the baseline again! Arantxa Sanchez

:35:26. > :35:29.Vicario puts a finger to her temple. They had having playful fun. A

:35:30. > :35:32.moment ago Selima Sfar pulled Arantxa Sanchez Vicario's hair,

:35:33. > :35:47.Arantxa Sanchez Vicario getting her own back there.

:35:48. > :35:53.Just overcooked it but the lob is working well on the return for

:35:54. > :35:59.Arantxa Sanchez Vicario and Selima Sfar. The team that lost the first

:36:00. > :36:01.set changes things up in the second, much better returning, more lobs,

:36:02. > :36:22.more variety overall. Still they can't break, like a wall

:36:23. > :37:07.at the net, Navratilova and Black. Third double fault for the pair.

:37:08. > :37:40.That's a fifth break point. tried the lob work again but good

:37:41. > :37:44.footwork. Cara Black working very hard. Shoulder must feel it'll saw

:37:45. > :38:11.right now! -- a little sore. Oh! Just what you don't want, isn't

:38:12. > :38:16.it, when you have a long, long game, and another double fault, think that

:38:17. > :38:24.might be the third of the game, to give the sixth break point. What

:38:25. > :38:35.will Sfar two will fit -- with this return? That's long, as well. This

:38:36. > :38:41.game continues on. Every time I see Cara Black she has, I think her

:38:42. > :38:43.17-month-old son Jordan in her arms, and he hasn't missed too many meals,

:38:44. > :39:10.so she is quite strong! Oh, wonderful! So smart. Just really

:39:11. > :39:12.testing the movement of Navratilova. Not trying to hit through them, but

:39:13. > :39:50.just gently around them. Well, if you play a bit of tennis, I

:39:51. > :39:55.think we all know that feeling. Great to see that they are having

:39:56. > :40:01.terrific fun out there. But it is still highly competitive, they all

:40:02. > :40:06.really want to win. Navratilova changing her positioning, trying to

:40:07. > :40:27.defend against that return a lob, for a different look.

:40:28. > :40:35.Well, really seems to be struggling, certainly from the deuce side. Yet

:40:36. > :40:41.another double fault from Cara Black, and it's yet another break

:40:42. > :40:43.point. This game almost 15 minutes, so I think this game has been almost

:40:44. > :41:27.longer than the rest of the set. Finally, Black makes a serve from

:41:28. > :41:40.the deuce side and backs it up with a very nice Poli. -- nice volley.

:41:41. > :41:45.Sanchez's return was just a little too high, I am surprised you didn't

:41:46. > :41:57.drive through that backhand. -- surprised she didn't. And there it

:41:58. > :42:05.is. The clenched fist and the come on from Navratilova. Good work! It's

:42:06. > :42:11.great to see as well from Sanchez Vicario and Sfar. I lost count of

:42:12. > :42:16.the amount of break points they had in that game, and after all that,

:42:17. > :42:21.Black and Navratilova win a fourth straight game. You kind of feel that

:42:22. > :42:46.game will probably be pivotal in this second set.

:42:47. > :42:57.Oh, nearly made it! Such good doubles, Navratilova, sooner she got

:42:58. > :43:00.it down at the feet of Sfar, Cara Black moved within two feet of net.

:43:01. > :43:21.Just expecting the next shot. So often see it, don't you, when a

:43:22. > :43:24.team has a lot of break points, there is often a hangover effect. If

:43:25. > :43:27.you look at the scoreline you wouldn't think this match is that

:43:28. > :43:30.close but it has really been a well contested match. A lot of long

:43:31. > :43:40.rallies. Just took a racket out in the nick

:43:41. > :45:18.of time. Martina cannot believe she missed

:45:19. > :45:26.that. It was sitting there for the taking. Looks stunned. Would have

:45:27. > :45:32.been the double break. You have to decide when you are serving to

:45:33. > :45:35.Martina whether you want the slice, backhand, it's going to come down

:45:36. > :45:39.low at your feet, or go at the forehand that going to cook them --

:45:40. > :46:08.going to come hard and fast. Just right! That's incredible.

:46:09. > :46:13.Martinez did it! -- Martina's done it. Just the hands, that ball was

:46:14. > :46:21.behind her and the flick of that backhand, right here, to keep this

:46:22. > :46:32.point alive. Great athleticism, you forget that she's 60! Absolutely!

:46:33. > :46:38.Oh, that's a little special as well from Sfar. Sfar is very skilful.

:46:39. > :46:52.Very creative mind to find these openings.

:46:53. > :47:01.She's found the baseline. That's a gutsy hold. Looked like this set was

:47:02. > :47:06.getting away from Sanchez Vicario and Sfar, but from 15-40 down they

:47:07. > :47:15.are able to win the game and stop the rot. First game in five. QC

:47:16. > :47:20.Martina on the other side so animated, a little frustrated with

:47:21. > :47:25.herself because 15-40, Sfar's serve and she had a second serve and

:47:26. > :47:29.forehand, just the shot she likes, so much time, maybe too much time to

:47:30. > :47:36.think about it, she missed it in the net. That would have been a healthy

:47:37. > :47:40.lead of 5-2. Martina's said to come. She is a perfectionist anyway,

:47:41. > :47:47.Navratilova, but that was one she really expected herself to me, and

:47:48. > :47:49.you can see in the background there, can't you, a little applause from

:47:50. > :47:55.the crowd, Roger Federer has become the men's singles champion once

:47:56. > :47:59.again. Eight times now he has won Wimbledon in singles. One behind the

:48:00. > :48:04.player in the picture. She won it nine time but I am afraid Federer

:48:05. > :48:10.has overtaken her in singles Grand Slam titles, he is now 19,

:48:11. > :48:14.Navratilova 18. She has 59 in total though if you include doubles and

:48:15. > :48:23.mixed, so he has a fair way to go to reach that. They're both doing fine!

:48:24. > :48:28.LAUGHTER. Roger's favourite number is eight, born on August eight. He

:48:29. > :48:34.will be called the greatest I think. We will see that quite a bit.

:48:35. > :48:38.Sprinkles! It's sunny but yet sprinkling at the same time, you see

:48:39. > :48:45.the ground crew in the back. Just got up. We may have a bit of a

:48:46. > :48:50.rainbow on the court at this rate. It is bright out there which is the

:48:51. > :48:58.unusual thing. I don't think the players will come off, though.

:48:59. > :49:12.So, Deeney is coming on court. She is in charge of the Invitational

:49:13. > :49:18.doubles for the women -- Denise coming on court. You had an injury

:49:19. > :49:22.he didn't you? Three years ago I pulled my calf mid-2nd set, all of a

:49:23. > :49:27.sudden it felt like somebody shot me in the calf. Was that something to

:49:28. > :49:30.do with the greasy chord? It was maybe the grass and the little nubs

:49:31. > :49:36.on the shoes and you have to grip that much more because I had really

:49:37. > :49:42.never had any calf injuries before, so it was really disappointing. But

:49:43. > :49:45.it looks like the good thing is, these ladies are staying on the

:49:46. > :49:53.court, looks like they are getting back on court as well, just a little

:49:54. > :49:58.sun shower. APPLAUSE. Thanking the skies, as are the fans. We want to

:49:59. > :50:00.see this one continue, it has been thoroughly entertaining. This second

:50:01. > :50:12.set has been going for 40 minutes. I am also right in saying

:50:13. > :50:17.Navratilova is the only played yet to be dethroned. -- only player yet

:50:18. > :50:45.to be dethroned. Really fun match to watch with all

:50:46. > :50:48.the different changes in positioning. One team makes an

:50:49. > :51:04.adjustment, the other makes their own. I think she expected that ball

:51:05. > :51:08.to come harder. We saw Navratilova second return, Black missing a

:51:09. > :51:21.relatively comfortable volley, what's happening? Two real rarities.

:51:22. > :51:27.The net cord helping out Sfar. This second set is meandering one way

:51:28. > :51:34.then the other. Just out of the hands of Sfar and Sanchez Vicario

:51:35. > :51:52.down 2-4, 15-40. Especially after losing that marathon game 3-2.

:51:53. > :52:05.Oh, and she's made it! Great foot speed. LAUGHTER. That was terrific

:52:06. > :52:13.anticipation. She took off before Martina even heated. And that's four

:52:14. > :52:20.games apiece, Navratilova broken for the first time.

:52:21. > :52:27.Interesting to see how well Arantxa Sanchez Vicario serves here because

:52:28. > :52:32.on the changeover she is really stretching her rib cage, abdominal

:52:33. > :52:39.muscles on the left side. They have the help of new balls.

:52:40. > :52:46.Didn't seem to affect her on that serve. One thing to remember is

:52:47. > :52:49.these players don't play many matches throughout the year, so the

:52:50. > :53:17.odd exhibition or two. But there are Invitational doubles

:53:18. > :53:22.at all four majors. In terms of the surface for your body, what would

:53:23. > :53:27.you prefer playing on when you are a little bit older. I think Clay is

:53:28. > :53:44.helpful, gives you a little more time, a little softer on your feet.

:53:45. > :53:52.Players a lot of time talk about grass, you have to get so low to the

:53:53. > :53:56.board you feel it in your legs. Also at the last minute, because an

:53:57. > :54:00.awkward bounce, we saw that there from margarine, frustrated with the

:54:01. > :54:08.bounce there, jerky with the ball. -- we saw that there from Martina.

:54:09. > :54:47.Very quick to apologise, both Sfar and Sanchez Vicario, saying it's all

:54:48. > :55:14.OK. Another deuce games. That was a

:55:15. > :55:18.missed opportunity for Sanchez there, that return was a little

:55:19. > :55:25.higher than Cara Black wanted it to be. Arantxa has struggled to hold

:55:26. > :55:46.her serve. They have been tested more in this

:55:47. > :55:53.second set, no doubt about that. We talked about varieties. Sanchez

:55:54. > :56:11.Vicario and Sfar working well together as a team.

:56:12. > :56:20.Right on top of that volley, in this topsy-turvy set, which continues,

:56:21. > :56:23.now three games in a row for Sanchez Vicario and Sfar, and now it is them

:56:24. > :56:32.who are just a game away from taking the second set.

:56:33. > :56:41.They've just done a really good job, haven't they? Variety used, just

:56:42. > :56:48.staying focused. You thought... I am not sure who that was four from

:56:49. > :56:53.Sfar! I'm sure it's all in jest. It was fun to watch, if I were watching

:56:54. > :56:57.from home, the change in tactics from this team, they were down and

:56:58. > :57:02.out, they stay positive, look at Arantxa, such a great competitor,

:57:03. > :57:11.and at this stage still loves to win, still loves to play. She is

:57:12. > :57:14.living in Miami now and has two kids, a little boy and a little

:57:15. > :57:23.girl, and Martina doesn't live far-away, they are friends there.

:57:24. > :57:25.Sfar lives in Dubai. Cara Black lives in Melbourne, Australia,

:57:26. > :57:30.originally from Zimbabwe but her husband is from Australia. That's

:57:31. > :57:41.where they are based full-time with their two young sons.

:57:42. > :57:56.Serving to stay in the set now at 4-5.

:57:57. > :58:09.That log from Arantxa has really turned this set around. You

:58:10. > :58:13.mentioned Cara Black being in Australia, she worked with a player

:58:14. > :58:17.who surprised a few, qualified and reached the second round here, doing

:58:18. > :58:25.a lot of watching and coaching in the first week.

:58:26. > :58:32.That is not bad practice before a women's Invitational. And you can

:58:33. > :58:58.tell. She's been striking the ball. Navratilova over here doing

:58:59. > :59:02.television for the cut Tennis Channel primarily, every other day.

:59:03. > :59:06.Sfar will spend a couple of hours every day on the court, she is

:59:07. > :59:17.really focused on trying to win the women's Invitational. She's found

:59:18. > :59:31.the line again there. Or has she? Navratilova is challenging this one.

:59:32. > :59:37.It's just caught the line! LAUGHTER A lot of praying and celebrating

:59:38. > :00:14.going on! Vape backhanders money. And she's

:00:15. > :00:19.made a lot of it! Super return from the Spaniard, and look at this,

:00:20. > :00:23.didn't think we would be in this position 15 or 20 minutes ago. It's

:00:24. > :00:31.a set point for Sanchez Vicario and Sfar.

:00:32. > :00:41.Oh, and maybe they should have taken it. She'll be having nightmares over

:00:42. > :00:45.break point on the Cara Black serve. She will and how about Navratilova

:00:46. > :00:47.stretching up that extra inch. You feel like she gave it that extra

:00:48. > :00:58.exertion. I kind of feel there is a bit of a

:00:59. > :01:59.mental block there now. Oh, yeah. Some volley. Great

:02:00. > :02:00.reaction from Sanchez Vicario. To stay balanced and redirect that

:02:01. > :02:15.ball. Terrific hands by all. She really has raised her game,

:02:16. > :02:25.hasn't she, Sanchez Vicario? Another set point.

:02:26. > :02:37.It's long. And that's the first set that Cara Black and Martina

:02:38. > :02:43.Navratilova have lost in this year's Ladies Invitational Doubles. And

:02:44. > :02:49.delight for Sanchez Vicario and Sfar. They've taken the second set

:02:50. > :02:53.and it'll be a match tie-break to settle the final. Great animation

:02:54. > :02:58.from Sanchez Vicario and Sfar. They've stayed so positive. It

:02:59. > :03:02.looked like they were down-and-out. Getting a great job getting the

:03:03. > :03:06.crowd involved. Really seeming like they are enjoying the challenge

:03:07. > :03:11.today and figuring out how they need to change their game up. How

:03:12. > :03:19.important is it to envoy it when you are out on the doubles court? Well,

:03:20. > :03:24.I think you need not to feel pressure from your partner as well.

:03:25. > :03:30.Often you can feel the stress of your partner come on to you and feel

:03:31. > :03:33.a little too uptight. You need a free arm to hit the ball and make

:03:34. > :03:49.good decisions. Black and Navratilova are getting

:03:50. > :03:55.most of their serves in, so they are not seeing many of them. So a

:03:56. > :04:02.10-point shootout to decide the final. Sanchez Vicario and Sfar won

:04:03. > :04:16.the last four games of the previous set. It'll be Sfar to serve first.

:04:17. > :04:20.I always find this sport incredible, how momentum can shift in a couple

:04:21. > :04:33.of moments. It was aer if hand just like that

:04:34. > :04:36.where Sfar was serving and Martina missed a return like that. Like the

:04:37. > :04:57.match was on her racket. It's such an entertaining encounter.

:04:58. > :05:01.We have seen so many duels at the net like that. This is just

:05:02. > :05:31.traditional doubles. It's all four players trying to get to the net.

:05:32. > :06:48.Didn't make it. Value Nant effort, though. -- valiant effort, though.

:06:49. > :06:56.Good movement from Sfar at the net. Just at the right time to distract

:06:57. > :07:18.Navratilova. Another mini-break and another point

:07:19. > :07:25.to the head from Sfar and three points apiece. Just to a reminder,

:07:26. > :07:32.one player will defend their title. Sfar and Navratilova won this last

:07:33. > :07:37.year. A coin flick from here on in. What is going to decide this Tracey,

:07:38. > :07:41.do you think? It is so tough to decide. Cat and mouse tennis at

:07:42. > :08:05.great angles. Terrific team work, moving together.

:08:06. > :08:14.Well, they'd been targeting the net player about the return but this

:08:15. > :08:18.time, Cara Black up to the task. Cara Black so quick getting back to

:08:19. > :08:53.the overhead. Might be smarter to lob Navratilova.

:08:54. > :08:59.This is what we saw at the beginning of the match, time and time again

:09:00. > :09:33.from Cara Black. Oh did brilliantly well.

:09:34. > :09:40.Miscommunication but they somehow manage to sort themselves out in the

:09:41. > :09:45.nick of time and maybe put Sanchez Vicario off. Really a couple of

:09:46. > :09:52.incredible shots by Navratilova there. Forehand pick-up she sent

:09:53. > :10:22.back laser like and that last second lob, a great reaction.

:10:23. > :10:30.I have to say, I can't question these two characters. Their previous

:10:31. > :10:34.set, with many others you would think there would be a bit of a

:10:35. > :10:40.hangover coming into the match tie-break. Not the case.

:10:41. > :10:50.This is just perfectly measured. Martina realises at the last second

:10:51. > :11:24.she can't reach it. Just enough. Well, at the change of

:11:25. > :11:32.epds, it is Navratilova and Black who have a pretty healthy lead now.

:11:33. > :11:37.That missed overhead by Sanchez Vicario Sanchez Vicario could be a

:11:38. > :11:51.real momentum changer in this tie-break.

:11:52. > :11:54.They reacted so well after losing four straight games, now two points

:11:55. > :12:05.away from victory. And Cara Black has just come to life

:12:06. > :12:11.in this match tie-break. Again, taking control of the point. It's

:12:12. > :12:22.been a highly-dramatic, highly-entertaining final. They are

:12:23. > :12:26.asking whose serve it is? So it will be Martina Navratilova who gets the

:12:27. > :12:35.honour to try and serve this one out. Five Championship points.

:12:36. > :12:43.Aw, a splendid match comes to a close and once again it is

:12:44. > :12:47.Navratilova who'll have her hand on the trophy. This time alongside Cara

:12:48. > :12:53.Black. Really, a brilliant performance from those two. A great

:12:54. > :12:59.effort, though, from Sanchez Vicario and Sfar and a really, really

:13:00. > :13:03.enjoyable match. I think everyone on Court One really enjoyed watching

:13:04. > :13:10.that final. It is Navratilova and Cara Black who are the champions

:13:11. > :13:18.again. The laid Ladies' Invitational Doubles of 2017.

:13:19. > :13:22.SUE BARKER: Lovely to see the great champion out there again. Another

:13:23. > :13:29.honour for her and our BBC commentators Roll of Honour. Well at

:13:30. > :13:33.10. O 20 Clare Balding will be here, she will be joined by Tim Henman and

:13:34. > :13:43.Pat Cash. And just before we leave, we will

:13:44. > :13:48.tell you a few of the results today from the wheelchair ladies double

:13:49. > :13:55.finals, won by Britain's Jordan Wiley and her partner. She won 6-0.

:13:56. > :13:59.Emotional scenes because these two haven't played together since last

:14:00. > :14:08.year. Wonderful to see them play again, it was their fourth

:14:09. > :14:16.consecutive Wimbledon title. Wonderful scenes on court 3 and in

:14:17. > :14:22.the boys double time it was won by Geller of Argentina and Hsu of

:14:23. > :14:30.Chinese Taipei. They won in straight sets. Remember these names, you will

:14:31. > :14:38.be hearing more from them, that's for sure. And it was good for Geller

:14:39. > :14:49.to win the Boys' Doubles. He lost earlier today

:14:50. > :14:58.in the boys' singles finals Davidovich Fokina of Spain and look,

:14:59. > :15:11.memories of Pat Cash from 30 years ago. Wonderful, so Spain taking a

:15:12. > :15:16.Wimbledon title there. Remember his name, Davidovich Fokina winning the

:15:17. > :15:21.title. And memories of Roger Federer back in 1998. He won his Boys'

:15:22. > :15:27.Singles. So Wimbledon, yes, everyone is leaving and heading home. But the

:15:28. > :15:31.big story of the day is the fact that Roger Federer has won his 8th

:15:32. > :15:36.title here at Wimbledon against Marin Cilic who was struggling with

:15:37. > :15:39.injury and very emotional on court today. But it is record-breaking

:15:40. > :15:46.Roger Federer who stands alone as the only person to lift the trophy

:15:47. > :15:52.eight times. Today Roger Federer put the "eight" into "great."

:15:53. > :16:03.COMMENTATOR: Arguably the greatest champion of all time.

:16:04. > :16:50.COMMENTATOR: Roger Federer takes another step towards history.

:16:51. > :17:06.COMMENTATOR: What a champion here at Wimbledon. The first man to win

:17:07. > :17:21.eight Championships. Eight is the magic N ROMMer is here.

:17:22. > :17:28.Wow, what a journey -- -- eight is the magic number. Roger is here.

:17:29. > :17:35.What a journey? It took a while. I have been here for a long time.

:17:36. > :17:40.Every win is special but the first player to win eight times, it is

:17:41. > :17:43.very special. It is very special. Wimbledon means so much to me and

:17:44. > :17:48.being in its history, engraved like this, I will always be the first to

:17:49. > :17:52.have won eight here, it is wonderful feeling. I played great throughout

:17:53. > :17:56.the Championships. You know, maybe the match wasn't a five-set thriller

:17:57. > :17:59.and all that's things but it just feels, still, so magical to have won

:18:00. > :18:03.Wimbledon again. It's unbelievable. Yes, last time was 2012. It's been a

:18:04. > :18:13.while but that was your motivation, I think, wasn't it? Yes, I came

:18:14. > :18:17.close, too, in '14, depm 15, '16, last year, I wasn't that far off.

:18:18. > :18:21.You always leave Wimbledon after losing to some extent, you can be

:18:22. > :18:27.proud of your efforts but for me, who has won so much here, the goal

:18:28. > :18:30.is always trying to win the tournament and keep coming back and

:18:31. > :18:35.trying and trying again, it's not easy. This year I got rewarded for

:18:36. > :18:40.it and it is great. I'm so happy. You talk about players leaving with

:18:41. > :18:44.disappointment. You must have felt for Marin Cilic today. You were

:18:45. > :18:48.obviously aware, were you when things went wrong? The thing is, I

:18:49. > :18:52.still don't know exactly what he had or has. First I thought he might

:18:53. > :18:56.have been dizzy, he called the doctor, it is usually either a

:18:57. > :19:04.painkiller or feeling dizzy. I figured that is what it was. At 3-0

:19:05. > :19:10.I think he called the trainer, I was - mm, not sure what is going on. I

:19:11. > :19:18.didn't want to look over, I'm sure he was going to keep playing. I was

:19:19. > :19:23.told he was emotional. He was in tears. I didn't see that. Maybe it

:19:24. > :19:28.was good for me not to see that. Then you think he is going to retire

:19:29. > :19:34.and he won't the. The next you know he is you start playing average.

:19:35. > :19:40.That happened to me with Stan at the Australian Open, I was up 2-0, and

:19:41. > :19:47.then I ended up in a hole in the fifth set. He had problems with his

:19:48. > :19:53.knee and I got distracted. I said - I'll try to focus on my own game and

:19:54. > :19:58.see where we will go. I hope Cilic will be better soon, he should be

:19:59. > :20:00.proud of his game. He played some unbelievable tennis at the

:20:01. > :20:06.Championships. It is the worst feeling in the finals if you are not

:20:07. > :20:12.feeling your best, I hope he can get over it. Was it lovely going around

:20:13. > :20:15.with the trophy. We saw you with the public down there. It is nice

:20:16. > :20:19.sharing it with the people. That's what made it so special to win in

:20:20. > :20:24.Australia. I felt so many people were so happy for me and here to

:20:25. > :20:29.share it, showing the trophy and here coming to the BBC, I got a

:20:30. > :20:34.standing ovation and applause, it is nice it see people generally happy

:20:35. > :20:37.for me, it is great. And the reaction from the public on the

:20:38. > :20:41.balcony but also Centre Court. Yes, absolutely. There you are. There are

:20:42. > :20:47.so many people down there. They come watch my practice sessions, a lot of

:20:48. > :20:52.them. It is that extra bit of time so important to give back to the

:20:53. > :20:58.fans. Without them, honestly, we would be playing in an empty court

:20:59. > :21:04.and it would be terrible, let's be honest and face it, so the thanks I

:21:05. > :21:08.can give the crowd is extra time, with autographs, pictures moments

:21:09. > :21:12.like this and I feel like, you know, the ones who support me, we won this

:21:13. > :21:17.together and the wons who support others, I hope they saw a good

:21:18. > :21:22.match. It is a celebration of tennis, it is not just all about me.

:21:23. > :21:25.This is the bigger picture, about everybody. You try to represent the

:21:26. > :21:29.game in the right way. That is lovely. A lot of people don't but

:21:30. > :21:33.you feel it is important to give back and inspire the next generation

:21:34. > :21:41.as well. Ye, more and more press and more and more time will be asked. We

:21:42. > :21:45.try to lead the way. Rafa and myself, with different languages, we

:21:46. > :21:52.try to do it. V, newspapers, mag zees, radio, we try to do it all. I

:21:53. > :21:56.never forget my home market, even though it is not America or England,

:21:57. > :21:59.just little Switzerland. But I do the three languages over there. I

:22:00. > :22:05.try hard to put it altogether. It is for the right reasons, to give the

:22:06. > :22:11.people a good story. Someone asked why isn't he at the Roll of Honours

:22:12. > :22:14.board. I said because he was do so many interviews in so many different

:22:15. > :22:17.languages. Last year, with the knee injury, and you taking the six

:22:18. > :22:22.months off, which you thoroughly enjoyed, you wented out hiking, we

:22:23. > :22:28.saw the pictures. . Yes with my kids, my girls. The good thing was,

:22:29. > :22:32.I didn't have to have surgery. I was most scared to have the second

:22:33. > :22:37.surgery. That really would have scared me and made me believe it was

:22:38. > :22:42.the final straw now but because I didn't have to have surgery, I could

:22:43. > :22:46.walk, I just couldn't play five-set matches on a regular basis. I

:22:47. > :22:50.couldn't play five days in a row. That was my problem. It was really

:22:51. > :22:55.the last 5% missing but because of it, I had a swollen knee but hiking

:22:56. > :23:01.and doing normal things with my kids, I could do them all. We had a

:23:02. > :23:07.great time and we decided where we wanted to go and what we wanted to

:23:08. > :23:11.do. Then it was important once I finished my rehab I was in a solid

:23:12. > :23:15.place for fitness and tennis. Everything went without a hiccup and

:23:16. > :23:23.I'm in a glad place now. Was there ever a time when you thought - I'm

:23:24. > :23:28.enjoying this so much maybe I won't... It was actually good for me

:23:29. > :23:34.to calibrate to ask myself the question - how much do I like this

:23:35. > :23:38.and how much do I not want to return? I mean, yes, I could have

:23:39. > :23:45.happily and easily just stayed out. But I wanted to see one more time

:23:46. > :23:51.what was around the corner. If I did all of the rehab it was not just for

:23:52. > :23:56.Wimbledon or the Australian Open or coming back on the tour but also for

:23:57. > :24:04.me personally, as a person. I want to be a dad to do stuff with his

:24:05. > :24:09.kids and do sports later on in my life. I see this as important to me,

:24:10. > :24:15.my afterlaugh than success in the near future. I was happy I came back

:24:16. > :24:19.and it paid off thankfully. And you love to have your family around you,

:24:20. > :24:22.that's important. It was lovely to all the family today, your parents,

:24:23. > :24:27.wife and children. A Federer family day. It was unreal to have a moment

:24:28. > :24:31.like this, to be quite honest. I know maybe this moment will never

:24:32. > :24:37.come back for us. I know the boys don't understand what is going on.

:24:38. > :24:44.The girls were there a few years ago when I lost in the finals and also I

:24:45. > :24:49.think when I won in '12. They were still very young. They were. It is

:24:50. > :24:53.nice now they are older, turning eight in July, that they understand

:24:54. > :24:55.what daddy is doing, they understand the difference between practice and

:24:56. > :24:59.a match and they understand the difference between the fist round

:25:00. > :25:04.and finals and I was happy they were there when I won. Was it true in

:25:05. > :25:10.Australia, when you were going all the way through the final that they

:25:11. > :25:14.wanted to go back skiing. Yes, when I reached the quarter-final stage

:25:15. > :25:22.they said - OK, dad we are happy to go home now. I was like - hold on a

:25:23. > :25:26.little bit longer, maybe I can squeeze in a couple of wins and stay

:25:27. > :25:31.longer. At the beginning they were happy to stay because we had a lot

:25:32. > :25:35.of friends and other kids and they were happy to go skiing again. This

:25:36. > :25:40.time around they were happy for me to go winning and this morning, both

:25:41. > :25:47.girls said, "Papa, you have to win." I said "OK I will try my best. It

:25:48. > :25:54.was very cute. It was pressure you don't need. I was like - oh my God,

:25:55. > :25:56.daddy will try hard. And Mirka, she arranges everything, does

:25:57. > :26:02.everything, so much part of the team as well as being your wife. Yeah, it

:26:03. > :26:08.is not like it used to be, where she comes to practise sessions, where we

:26:09. > :26:11.would talk tennis because she was a player, too, she has gone the family

:26:12. > :26:14.side, organising, managing, taking care of the girls and boys, being an

:26:15. > :26:19.unbelievable supporter. Mirka has been amazing for me and my career.

:26:20. > :26:24.We both love that. You said on court, you are coming back here next

:26:25. > :26:29.year, you want to be here again. That's the goal. But with a

:26:30. > :26:33.difficult year we had last year, you don't know what happens next. Health

:26:34. > :26:36.comes first. We will reassess what happened in the last few weeks and

:26:37. > :26:39.hopefully take the right decisions going forwards. Of course the goal

:26:40. > :26:45.is trying to defend the title here next year. We look forward to that.

:26:46. > :26:49.It is lovely. Thank you for coming into our studio. And what a

:26:50. > :26:52.wonderful way to close our programme. Because that is the end

:26:53. > :26:55.of Wimbledon for this year. We end it with the record-breaking Roger

:26:56. > :26:57.Federer. Thank you to all of the hard-working BBC team for bringing

:26:58. > :26:59.wonderful programmes over the fortnight. But for now, from

:27:00. > :27:09.Wimbledon, it is Roger and out. Bye-bye.

:27:10. > :27:13.ANDREW CASTLE: It's like the beginning of a fantastic holiday,

:27:14. > :28:08.isn't it? British tennis history. They've done

:28:09. > :28:30.it. Hewitt and Reid, Wimbledon champions, again.

:28:31. > :28:38.Physically, Andy Murray not right. This is the greatest thrill of his

:28:39. > :28:44.life. Venus Williams. Back in the Wimbledon final after so many years.

:28:45. > :28:49.And for Konta, it ends here. The double champion is beaten here.

:28:50. > :28:54.Jamie and Martina Hingis are mixed doubles champion. Brilliant from

:28:55. > :29:06.Cilic. UMPIRE: Game set and match. One of the best of all time. Take a

:29:07. > :29:14.deep breath, focus and it's time. It's not over until it's over.

:29:15. > :29:20.Muguruza - the first match slipping away from Venus Williams. What a

:29:21. > :29:29.victory for Garbine Muguruza. She is the Wimbledon champion.

:29:30. > :29:39.If you stop and look around and take all of this in, it'll be too late.

:29:40. > :29:44.What a player. The first man to win eight Championships here at

:29:45. > :29:49.Wimbledon.
