0:01:15 > 0:01:19After the postponement of the men's downhill and the slopestyle

0:01:19 > 0:01:22qualifying yesterday the women's giant slalom was called off as well

0:01:22 > 0:01:27today. We will start when things are a bit calmer inside in the ice arena

0:01:27 > 0:01:35with the conclusion of the team figure skating. Yesterday we saw

0:01:35 > 0:01:37Evgenia Medvedeva, one of the Olympic Athletes from Russia team

0:01:37 > 0:01:43who set a world record in the short programme. Canada are in pole

0:01:43 > 0:01:46position with three events to go. The men's and women's free skate as

0:01:46 > 0:01:51well as the ice free dance. Your commentators are Catherine Downes

0:01:51 > 0:01:56and Robin Cousins.

0:01:58 > 0:02:00commentators are Catherine Downes and Robin Cousins.

0:02:00 > 0:02:06The Olympic bronze medallist representing the English -- Russian

0:02:06 > 0:02:13athletes.We will see how he manages. There are eight quads

0:02:13 > 0:02:18planned in all from the gentleman 's side this morning so we will see how

0:02:18 > 0:02:23he manages. He skates to Elvis Presley because he says he feels a

0:02:23 > 0:02:35bit like Elvis Presley. I read that in an interview.

0:02:40 > 0:02:45He is opening with a quadruple Lutz, which is the most difficult of the

0:02:45 > 0:02:52quadruple jumps. When it works it is exquisite and when it does not it is

0:02:52 > 0:02:56not great, and that was not a great one there. He made a rotation so he

0:02:56 > 0:03:02will be given credit for it but obviously he wanted a landing and

0:03:02 > 0:03:08not running edge, not a landing the backside.

0:03:10 > 0:03:15backside. The second quadruple. He did not make the rotation there.

0:03:15 > 0:03:23That will definitely be an X in that box, the boxes up on the left of

0:03:23 > 0:03:29your screen there. That is for each element. Read it means review and

0:03:29 > 0:03:35yellow means review and green means accepted. A triple axle double toe

0:03:35 > 0:03:46loop. Watch that box go green. A technical panel deciding which

0:03:46 > 0:03:53elements are clean and which are to be reviewed.

0:04:51 > 0:05:00And now, Kearney got her and deliver another clean quadruple jump -- can

0:05:00 > 0:05:12he prepare and deliver? He has a quadruple planned.

0:05:12 > 0:05:20CHEERING Yes, he can. Not the best landing,

0:05:20 > 0:05:26so the judges' grade of execution point for that jump will probably be

0:05:26 > 0:05:34minuses, but he gets credit for the element.

0:05:34 > 0:05:43element. Lovely light and easy triple axle.

0:05:43 > 0:05:47triple axle. A big jumping element here that he absolutely needs to get

0:05:47 > 0:05:54right. Two triple combination jumps, the triple lutz and the triple

0:05:54 > 0:05:59salto.

0:06:44 > 0:06:45-- Salchow.

0:07:08 > 0:07:14CHEERING

0:07:14 > 0:07:17At the Olympic Athletes from Russia in the silver medal position for now

0:07:17 > 0:07:21and they would have wanted to see those quads on point if they were

0:07:21 > 0:07:26going to push the gold.We saw in the short program. He didn't quite

0:07:26 > 0:07:29nail" and then again any long programme, he went for them and they

0:07:29 > 0:07:38didn't work out. He's very much an all nothing skater.Well done on

0:07:38 > 0:07:46this season's best which is up on the 180s. A pat on the shoulder, but

0:07:46 > 0:07:53I think the whole team know that he could have done better. The great

0:07:53 > 0:07:59Patrick Chan. We saw him muddled through in the short program, not a

0:07:59 > 0:08:07performance that we were expecting from the three-time world champion.

0:08:09 > 0:08:14He took team and individual silver in Sochi, looking to go for gold

0:08:14 > 0:08:25with team Canada, here in South Korea.

0:08:48 > 0:08:56Chan has two quadruple jumps plan. There is the first, eight to -- a

0:08:56 > 0:09:01toe loop and triple toe loop in combination, the second quadruple is

0:09:01 > 0:09:08a repeat, which he is allowed one. And it is going to come right now.

0:09:08 > 0:09:17CHEERING Exquisite, absolutely glorious.

0:09:26 > 0:09:40That should have been a chapel axel in combination. -- a triple axel.

0:10:09 > 0:10:22That is better, the triple Lutz, loop, triple Salchow.

0:10:41 > 0:10:55Second triple axel, made the rotation but not the landing.

0:11:00 > 0:11:06Two hands down on the triple loop.

0:11:45 > 0:11:49The triple flip, added a double toe loop, means to try and rack up some

0:11:49 > 0:11:54points. -- needs to try.

0:13:00 > 0:13:06APPLAUSE The Patrick Chan that we know and

0:13:06 > 0:13:12love has not yet turned up at these games. The mistakes there, just

0:13:12 > 0:13:18uncharacteristic.Look at this perfect body position, body

0:13:18 > 0:13:25alignment, great take-off, easy, through the landing.

0:13:27 > 0:13:30through the landing.They have given him a massive new season's best

0:13:30 > 0:13:38comments previous was 151.27, after a difficult season but one to 79.75

0:13:38 > 0:13:44is a massive season's best.But in context the boys heading for the

0:13:44 > 0:13:49medals are going to be scoring over 200.Let's have a look at the

0:13:49 > 0:13:52standings of that men's competition. Patrick Chan, the three-time

0:13:52 > 0:13:58champion leads the way.

0:13:58 > 0:14:00champion leads the way. Adam Griffin, what a skate from him at

0:14:00 > 0:14:18his first Olympics in third. -- add-on Rippon.

0:14:18 > 0:14:18add-on Rippon. -- Adam Rippon.

0:14:41 > 0:14:51And she's got it, the triple axel to open the programme. The music from

0:14:51 > 0:14:55Miss Saigon and there on the screen you can see the green box ticked.

0:14:55 > 0:15:02The triple flip, the triple toe loop, did very well to save that,

0:15:02 > 0:15:19but save it she did. And the triple Salchow.

0:16:18 > 0:16:26The double axle, triple toe loop. Double toe loop.

0:16:42 > 0:16:58Triple books, double toe loop. -- triple Lutz. Triple flip.

0:17:48 > 0:17:58One triple jump left. A triple loop.

0:18:08 > 0:18:14And she has got that.

0:18:24 > 0:18:30Oh, my goodness me.Team USA are on their feet. There they are, cheering

0:18:30 > 0:18:37on their girl. What a way to open this lady 's long programme. Mirai

0:18:37 > 0:18:49Nagasu on her Olympic return will stop a new season is best for her.

0:18:49 > 0:19:01137.5 three. She is top of the standings for now.

0:19:01 > 0:19:04standings for now. Here is Gabrielle Daleman for the Canadians, as they

0:19:04 > 0:19:10look to consolidate that gold-medal. They are way out in front, seven

0:19:10 > 0:19:13points ahead of the rest of the field. She is a world champion

0:19:13 > 0:19:18bronze medallist. This is her second Olympics. She was the youngest

0:19:18 > 0:19:22member of the Canadian team that Sochi but here she is four years

0:19:22 > 0:19:25later with a lot more experience under her belt. She is a powerful

0:19:25 > 0:19:31skater.

0:19:31 > 0:19:34skater.She is also the current Canadian number one, the national

0:19:34 > 0:19:42champion. As she was two macro seasons ago. Last season it was her

0:19:42 > 0:19:54team-mate. Gaby opens up with a triple toe loop, triple toe loop.

0:20:10 > 0:20:18A nice triple Lutz. She has terrific balance and elevation on her

0:20:18 > 0:20:24take-offs. She has had difficulty controlling it in the past but last

0:20:24 > 0:20:34couple of seasons good consistency. A triple flip.

0:21:33 > 0:21:36The second triple Lutz in combination with two double toe

0:21:36 > 0:21:46loops stronger in combination than the first.

0:21:46 > 0:21:56the first. There is the triple loop.

0:22:25 > 0:22:31Final jumping pass. Triple Zarco and a double axle she wants. There is

0:22:31 > 0:22:44the Sawao Kato. There is the double act so. -- axle.

0:23:35 > 0:23:41That is it. That has got to be gold for Canada. Clean and strong from

0:23:41 > 0:23:44Gabrielle Daleman, and with the world champions Tessa Virtue and

0:23:44 > 0:23:48Scott Moir to come in the ice dance it is surely now only a formality.

0:23:48 > 0:23:54Just give them the gold! She wanted to lay down the gauntlet, and she

0:23:54 > 0:23:59did it. We are going to see a new season 's best. You are probably

0:23:59 > 0:24:05correct that team Canada will still be in the lead.I am going early. It

0:24:05 > 0:24:15is a massive seasons best, 137.144 Gabrielle Daleman of team Canada.

0:24:20 > 0:24:24Alina Zagitova, 15 years old, the Prodigy who has out prodigies

0:24:24 > 0:24:30Evgenia Medvedeva this season and she beat the double champion to win

0:24:30 > 0:24:37the European title just a few weeks ago. She is something else.

0:26:45 > 0:26:49In for the first jumping pass, and it is the most difficult combination

0:26:49 > 0:26:53we will see in the Lady event. Triple Lutz, triple loop

0:26:53 > 0:26:58combination.

0:27:07 > 0:27:10The double axel, triple toe loop.

0:27:18 > 0:27:30There is the triple flip, double toe, double loop combination.

0:27:49 > 0:27:55Triple Lutz.

0:28:06 > 0:28:16Another triple flip. The last jump, the axel.

0:28:38 > 0:28:47Alina Zagitova, you little firecracker! What talent.She is 15,

0:28:47 > 0:28:50but there is such maturity in the choreography and in the way she

0:28:50 > 0:28:57moves.

0:28:57 > 0:29:01moves.158.08, a new season is best for the 15-year-old Alina Zagitova,

0:29:01 > 0:29:09her first Olympics. Canada have an unassailable lead so they are the

0:29:09 > 0:29:15Olympic champions for 2018.

0:29:16 > 0:29:21Olympic champions for 2018. The gold is already in the bag so just a

0:29:21 > 0:29:25masterclass then from the world champions, Tessa Virtue and Scott

0:29:25 > 0:29:31Moir and a fitting way to close out this team event. The gold around

0:29:31 > 0:29:40their necks once this routine is done.

0:33:22 > 0:33:27APPLAUSE

0:33:47 > 0:33:52CHEERING

0:33:57 > 0:34:01From the Moulin Rouge to the top of the podium that will put Canada out

0:34:01 > 0:34:06of sight. Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir are head and shoulders above

0:34:06 > 0:34:10the rest. This solidifies their second gold medal. They took gold in

0:34:10 > 0:34:16Vancouver in 2010, and I absolutely loved every second and every move of

0:34:16 > 0:34:21that performance.What does this mean,

0:34:21 > 0:34:24that performance.What does this mean, the team gold for Canada?What

0:34:24 > 0:34:28a testament to the strong performances from our team-mates. It

0:34:28 > 0:34:32was so inspiring. We had no doubt that they would lay it down but they

0:34:32 > 0:34:36gave a nice cushion as we took to the ice and we were able to savour

0:34:36 > 0:34:40their moment and embrace it every step of the way.Last time in Sochi

0:34:40 > 0:34:45it was silver for the team, who converted that to gold. What has

0:34:45 > 0:34:50changed in Canadian figure skating in the last four years, Scott? That

0:34:50 > 0:34:55is a great question.Give me a great answer! I think we just have a

0:34:55 > 0:35:02special team. I'm so proud of these skaters and I think our attitude

0:35:02 > 0:35:07changed from Sochi, I think we were a little bit too casual. And this

0:35:07 > 0:35:10team event now in figure skating is just like the hockey and curling

0:35:10 > 0:35:18medals, we are a figure skating country. The choreographers, coaches

0:35:18 > 0:35:22and skaters have come from Canada, and we are proud of these athletes

0:35:22 > 0:35:30for making that happen and this is a great journey, and I think these

0:35:30 > 0:35:35guys really deserve it.After three days of spellbinding competition

0:35:35 > 0:35:38team event is over, the medals have been handed out and Robin and I have

0:35:38 > 0:35:41been watching the action from the commentary box above the ice, it

0:35:41 > 0:35:49been quite a perch from what -- from which to watch the competition. Some

0:35:49 > 0:35:52of the performances might not have started out the way they wanted them

0:35:52 > 0:36:01but in the team competition, team Canada came through in a blaze of

0:36:01 > 0:36:03glory, and Virtue and Moir did need to perform to take the gold medal

0:36:03 > 0:36:08but they did it in such amazing style. Some teams had set themselves

0:36:08 > 0:36:12up for medal contention in the coming days. That is what this team

0:36:12 > 0:36:17competition has been all about. It is brilliant to see Canada win, and

0:36:17 > 0:36:21a celebration show that it means so much today at athletes to compete as

0:36:21 > 0:36:26a team, but really, they want that individual glory. We saw some real

0:36:26 > 0:36:30gauntlets being laid down, particularly in the women's event,

0:36:30 > 0:36:35with the 15-year-old from Russia. She was just mind blowing.She

0:36:35 > 0:36:43skated flawlessly, and got a new world record Medvedeva, then we saw

0:36:43 > 0:36:49another incredible performance, somewhat clinical because everything

0:36:49 > 0:36:53she does is points first, aesthetics second, but she delivered the goods,

0:36:53 > 0:36:59and it is going to make an amazing 1-2, I think in the gold and silver

0:36:59 > 0:37:06positions, but in which order, we're not going to know. But then, the

0:37:06 > 0:37:11triple axel, we have not seen one of those in many years at this

0:37:11 > 0:37:14competition, at this level.Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue didn't need to

0:37:14 > 0:37:17skate to win the medal NBI stands, but they are head and shoulders

0:37:17 > 0:37:23above the rest. We have not yet seen the French pair that they train

0:37:23 > 0:37:29with, that could be the big rivalry there, but

0:37:33 > 0:37:36there, but for me, Moir and Virtue look untouchable. The French team

0:37:36 > 0:37:39have the world record score overall, so they are not going to go down

0:37:39 > 0:37:43without a fight, and I know, they train together, they know exactly

0:37:43 > 0:37:48what the other is capable of, and it's a question of who's going to

0:37:48 > 0:37:52deliver on day. Moir and Virtue had this opportunity to skate in front

0:37:52 > 0:37:55of the Olympic crowd and judges and really deliver a performance and it

0:37:55 > 0:38:01was a masterclass in performing, as well as being able to deliver the

0:38:01 > 0:38:04technical quality required.Robin, it has been an absolute delight to

0:38:04 > 0:38:09watch it with you over the past few days. Canada are the Olympic

0:38:09 > 0:38:12champions, the Olympic Athletes from Russia take silver, with the USA in

0:38:12 > 0:38:17the bronze medal position once again. Now our attention turns to

0:38:17 > 0:38:20taking individual glory, and the tears get underway on Wednesday

0:38:20 > 0:38:25morning. After the wind delayed qualifying yesterday it was a

0:38:25 > 0:38:29straight final but that conditions make things very difficult, despite

0:38:29 > 0:38:33that Aimee Fuller of Great Britain still try to follow in the footsteps

0:38:33 > 0:38:34of Jenny Jones.

0:38:39 > 0:38:44So the women slopestyle files, after the cancellation of the qualifiers

0:38:44 > 0:38:50yesterday we have a full quota, 26 women dropping today and instead of

0:38:50 > 0:38:53three ones and the best score counting, they will ultimately get

0:38:53 > 0:39:00two. Klaudia Medlova, one of the trailblazers of recent years. She

0:39:00 > 0:39:07made a name for herself dropping the first ever double rodeo. She did the

0:39:07 > 0:39:14first double caught frontside 1080 in competition. A big gap out on the

0:39:14 > 0:39:19double kink rail.

0:39:19 > 0:39:28double kink rail. Up and over the A frame, setting up that final little

0:39:28 > 0:39:36module and into the first of the jumps, super corked, and goodness

0:39:36 > 0:39:41me, that was incredible. She essentially jumped off the roof of a

0:39:41 > 0:39:45house and landed on her back. I cannot believe she is riding away.

0:39:45 > 0:39:51You can see that she got caught up in the rotation, whether it was the

0:39:51 > 0:39:55wind that caught her board, and stored the rotation. Jessika Jenson

0:39:55 > 0:40:04dropping in. Hailey Langland, Julia Marino and Jamie Anderson rounding

0:40:04 > 0:40:06out the very strong American contingent who have made their way

0:40:06 > 0:40:14into slopestyle. Jessika Jenson just centring herself. The Americans

0:40:14 > 0:40:20qualified through their own Grand Prix

0:40:20 > 0:40:23Prix Series and Jessica got a fifth place there, the highest result of

0:40:23 > 0:40:29this season.

0:40:30 > 0:40:35this season. Pinning speed into this little ramp. The body language, both

0:40:35 > 0:40:41hands held out in front, she does not look confident on this course.I

0:40:41 > 0:40:47feel a little bit nervous watching her. That was a solid Switch 540.

0:40:47 > 0:40:52That is more like it. Now the frontside 360, very nice. Now, keep

0:40:52 > 0:41:02the composure. And a big back side 720, new first place. We have not

0:41:02 > 0:41:10seen a run completed over all three kickers.Yes, that is first place,

0:41:10 > 0:41:22easily.Aimee Fuller is about to drop. The rider who burst onto the

0:41:22 > 0:41:29scene with a very credible double that -- backflip handicap double

0:41:29 > 0:41:33under. She has been getting to grips with this course throughout

0:41:33 > 0:41:44training. The 50-50 on that big down rail.Come on, Aimee Fuller. Off

0:41:44 > 0:41:49early on the kink rail.

0:41:52 > 0:41:54early on the kink rail. With the result is that she has been pushing,

0:41:54 > 0:42:04a top-10 result would be good for Aimee today. So, the under flip,

0:42:04 > 0:42:11that is the single version. It didn't feel like she had the speed.

0:42:11 > 0:42:18You could almost hear her saying, it's so windy. You can see the wind,

0:42:18 > 0:42:24almost horizontal on that second kicker.Just making it over the

0:42:24 > 0:42:33small side. Again, the wind, an issue. It is a shame for Aimee.

0:42:39 > 0:42:43Waiting for the wind to stop. You can hear her, though, saying,

0:42:43 > 0:42:49waiting for the win to stop. Now another rider who doesn't have the

0:42:49 > 0:42:55World Cup ranking that is -- reflects her ability and level of

0:42:55 > 0:43:05riding. She is a very tidy competitor. Really difficult switch

0:43:05 > 0:43:11grind, super technical on the kink rail, but let's not forget she got

0:43:11 > 0:43:15three medals in a row at the X Games. She loves riding at the X

0:43:15 > 0:43:25Games. Now into this jump, coming up a little short, she needs to tuck in

0:43:25 > 0:43:30now, no speed checks. And through the 360, she clears it, despite

0:43:30 > 0:43:38losing her composure. The front side 720, and there they go, we see the

0:43:38 > 0:43:41first of the riders, she's got the ball control, the internal

0:43:41 > 0:43:45speedometer and maybe not in the prettiest way, but she has made it

0:43:45 > 0:43:54through really constantly.There we go, look at that, 73.91, moving

0:43:54 > 0:44:06ahead of Jessika Jenson. Next up, Anna Gasser. One of the riders who

0:44:06 > 0:44:11thinks this competition probably shouldn't have run in these

0:44:11 > 0:44:14conditions, alongside Enni Rukajarvi, but bounced about the

0:44:14 > 0:44:17best slopestyle ride in the world. At the US Open last year she landed

0:44:17 > 0:44:24the best run anyone has ever seen by a woman in slopestyle. Let's see

0:44:24 > 0:44:29what she's got, here. Really attacking the course. 270 to

0:44:29 > 0:44:34frontside broadside at the end of the double kink.Going without a

0:44:34 > 0:44:39jacket, consciously thinking about the wind, nice slip slide on the

0:44:39 > 0:44:46down bar, looking good from Anna Gasser. And the under flip, that is

0:44:46 > 0:44:53how you did, and it is with a revert, oh, my goodness.See what's

0:44:53 > 0:45:01this, doesn't see?She sent it huge, got the big trick out of the way

0:45:01 > 0:45:09early, then calmed down.Just watch this, everyone.Horrific effort from

0:45:09 > 0:45:17Anna Gasser, though.

0:45:17 > 0:45:22Anna Gasser, though. -- Heroic ever. She has dominated slopestyle,

0:45:22 > 0:45:28knocking Jenny Jones off of her perch in 2012. If anyone can ride

0:45:28 > 0:45:32this course, if anyone can find a way around the win, it would be this

0:45:32 > 0:45:37woman, the reigning Olympic champion, the gold medallist at the

0:45:37 > 0:45:44X Games, two weeks ago, Jamie Anderson.Just when you think she is

0:45:44 > 0:45:50thinking about hanging up her competitive snowboard boots, she

0:45:50 > 0:45:54goes and learns new tricks. Look at that, goodness me, liquid

0:45:54 > 0:46:01snowboarding.It is a different league, through the rails.So

0:46:01 > 0:46:07stylish, so smooth.Confidence and experience shining through. What is

0:46:07 > 0:46:13it going to look like here? Massive. My goodness. Legs, forged from

0:46:13 > 0:46:21steel! She boxed clever, opened up. I thought that was going to be a cab

0:46:21 > 0:46:26double under.

0:46:26 > 0:46:31Look at that. It is exactly what we said, the ability confidence and the

0:46:31 > 0:46:34trust in her tricks and the ability to understand, the spatial awareness

0:46:34 > 0:46:39at every point. She knows it wasn't pretty all the way through. It

0:46:39 > 0:46:47wasn't pretty but experience got through it.83 for Jamie Anderson. A

0:46:47 > 0:46:52big smile for and does very well deserved gold medal position after

0:46:52 > 0:47:01the first run. That is so good to see.Very, very good to see. The

0:47:01 > 0:47:07Americans are sitting in gold and bronze.

0:47:07 > 0:47:13bronze. An absolute lottery after the medal positions. OK, the second

0:47:13 > 0:47:23run here in the Phoenix Park venue for all of the freestyle events. A

0:47:23 > 0:47:31few of the wind sock.Gaping like a basking shark. You can see this is

0:47:31 > 0:47:35not the air, it is snow being blown off the hill. We have more than 45

0:47:35 > 0:47:45kilometres of gusts. It is good to have Jamie Nicholls back.

0:47:45 > 0:47:48have Jamie Nicholls back. Aimee Fuller says let's do this. Certainly

0:47:48 > 0:47:55at the moment the wind sock in saying that it is good. Let us see

0:47:55 > 0:48:01how she can go on these rails. 50/50 all the way to the end. A great

0:48:01 > 0:48:06start.

0:48:07 > 0:48:12start. Nice. All the way through the double kink.Yes, a nice press on

0:48:12 > 0:48:19the final section of the King cry. Through the rails nice and smooth.

0:48:19 > 0:48:25Snap the backside 180 around.

0:48:26 > 0:48:29Snap the backside 180 around. A good grab. Come on, Aimee Fuller.Pumping

0:48:29 > 0:48:38into this. She sends it really on with the backside 360.Now just the

0:48:38 > 0:48:47last jump.She has gone huge.Oh, God! I hope she is OK.What a shame.

0:48:47 > 0:48:54Too much speed. That picture says it all. There is a snowstorm. A

0:48:54 > 0:49:01blizzard almost happening down at the bottom.

0:49:03 > 0:49:06the bottom.Just crazy.You can access the spiral of snow, a mini

0:49:06 > 0:49:15tornado. Next Hailey Langland. The girl who said you cannot judge a

0:49:15 > 0:49:20book by it's cover but you can judge a snowboarder by their method is on

0:49:20 > 0:49:26course. That lovely art around, just tapping the corner of the close-out

0:49:26 > 0:49:31rail.That is a good line, no one else is doing that.Wasn't quite as

0:49:31 > 0:49:36tidy as she would have wanted a double kink. Almost surfing into the

0:49:36 > 0:49:41third feature to kill speed.Nice. There was nothing functional about

0:49:41 > 0:49:52it. That lovely double grab frontside 360. Come on, Hailey

0:49:52 > 0:50:00Langland. Backside and just made it the knuckles. She has got enough

0:50:00 > 0:50:06speed. Look at how stoked she is. The Americans are cheering and very,

0:50:06 > 0:50:11very justifiably. One of the smallest and lightest riders in the

0:50:11 > 0:50:17field has landed a full run.Do you think it is top three? Definitely

0:50:17 > 0:50:23top three. Definitely top three for me. The only question is whetherit

0:50:23 > 0:50:29is a gold medal. I do not think it is gold. I think, I actually think

0:50:29 > 0:50:40it might be silver.Oh, just off! Fourth-place.That is a shame.

0:50:40 > 0:50:47Jessika Jenson stays in third place. Laurie Blouin the Canadian. She has

0:50:47 > 0:50:53got the 99 as well. She can do the cab 99.Interestingly, I don't think

0:50:53 > 0:50:59it is about your best tricks here, it is about what you can put

0:50:59 > 0:51:02together in the circumstances, what is your best stock run? Interesting

0:51:02 > 0:51:12to compere Laurie Blouin with Hailey Langland, Laurie Blouin is so

0:51:12 > 0:51:15functional but Hailey Langland was so fluid between each feature.

0:51:15 > 0:51:23Sitting back a tiny bit. This is where it counts.She held on.Just

0:51:23 > 0:51:35making it over the knuckle. We go into the last jump. Switch 540. Yes,

0:51:35 > 0:51:41she has got it. Another landed run.

0:51:45 > 0:51:51There you go, second.Look at the Black eye sustained in training.

0:51:51 > 0:51:58Second place.

0:51:58 > 0:52:02Second place. Next in, Enni Rukajarvi, a rider who was not happy

0:52:02 > 0:52:09about the conditions.Keep it simple.Is that your advice?I think

0:52:09 > 0:52:15so. A day like today to is best to keep it simple. Are lovely rainbow

0:52:15 > 0:52:18transition into the board slide in the coming through the hardest

0:52:18 > 0:52:24section of the course, over the close-out and 50/50 backside 180.

0:52:24 > 0:52:30Perfect.Really, really nice. Half cabin using the classic line at all

0:52:30 > 0:52:36the Finnish men did across the rail. Setting up as which were the first

0:52:36 > 0:52:45take-off and dropping right to the skewed take-off. Lovely. Cab 540.

0:52:45 > 0:52:54She has gone big. Backside 720. Holds on. Yes.This is looking good.

0:52:54 > 0:52:59Frontside 360. Bounces off the knuckle. On the spot, Jamie, on the

0:52:59 > 0:53:07spot. Where is that?I don't know. We currently have the bronze medal

0:53:07 > 0:53:12position there but I think she knows it is the end of her hopes. She

0:53:12 > 0:53:18slots into third position. Anna Gasser has written in four Big tests

0:53:18 > 0:53:24this year and won all of them. La slopestyle Konta she wrote was ten

0:53:24 > 0:53:28months ago at the US Open and she laid down the best slopestyle run we

0:53:28 > 0:53:33have ever seen in women's snowboarding. What can she do today?

0:53:33 > 0:53:40There is no question she has the tricks.I think even if she does the

0:53:40 > 0:53:43cab under and plays it safe, she has a very good chance of being on the

0:53:43 > 0:53:55podium.Blazing through the rail section. That is so good.

0:53:56 > 0:53:59section.That is so good.Killing her speed. 50-16 knows press.That

0:53:59 > 0:54:03is a hard line with the 180 and switching to be urge to quickly get

0:54:03 > 0:54:10on the rail.A single and a one under flipper. Jamie Nicholls called

0:54:10 > 0:54:20it. She has gone huge.

0:54:20 > 0:54:24it. She has gone huge.Oh, my gosh. That is so annoying. One of the best

0:54:24 > 0:54:31slopestyle riders varies.Another rider with the firepower of tricks

0:54:31 > 0:54:39to take this down. Julia Marino is currently in 11th place. That was

0:54:39 > 0:54:43really nice.In the World Cup ranking she is only one spot behind

0:54:43 > 0:54:53Jamie Anderson, currently in second. Very smooth.So smooth. A lovely

0:54:53 > 0:55:0150/50 to frontside 350.That is one of the best top sections.

0:55:01 > 0:55:03of the best top sections.Frontside 720. Clipped the knuckle and

0:55:03 > 0:55:12bounced. Jamie Anderson knows that she has

0:55:12 > 0:55:15she has claimed the second consecutive Olympic gold-medal. Look

0:55:15 > 0:55:20at her.Enjoyed it.That is the one thing I would say, you know what,

0:55:20 > 0:55:24silver and bronze could have gone anywhere but Jamie Anderson, the

0:55:24 > 0:55:32cream has risen to the top of the slopestyle today. Against the odds,

0:55:32 > 0:55:36against the conditions, she managed to land the run she wanted to and

0:55:36 > 0:55:46her experience has told. Look at it. She is waiting.Curtains on the side

0:55:46 > 0:55:51there.I hope she goes down and 's methods on everything. Let us have a

0:55:51 > 0:56:00look.Lovely first rail. The only rider transferring from the big kick

0:56:00 > 0:56:09into the landing with the stale finish.She is so smooth.Liquid

0:56:09 > 0:56:13snowboarding, as Tim calls it. All of these, it is muscle memory, isn't

0:56:13 > 0:56:24it? A lovely shifty late switch backside 180. Oh, no! Why? Why did

0:56:24 > 0:56:30you risk it?Yes.

0:56:30 > 0:56:37you risk it?Yes. The method exposes the wind even more. She must be so

0:56:37 > 0:56:43happy, especially in these conditions as well.Tripod over the

0:56:43 > 0:56:49knuckle. Jamie Anderson rounds out the women's slopestyle final here,

0:56:49 > 0:56:51and her boyfriend, the Canadian slopestyle rider Tyler Nicholson is

0:56:51 > 0:56:58the first man in the finish area to congratulate her. Jamie Anderson

0:56:58 > 0:57:06crowns what has been a very well decorated career with a second gold

0:57:06 > 0:57:14medals.Unreal.That tells more of today's story in the finish area,

0:57:14 > 0:57:19the wind whistling through this halfpipe course and the courage of

0:57:19 > 0:57:24the women should be saluted.

0:57:24 > 0:57:28halfpipe course and the courage of the women should be saluted. Jamie,

0:57:28 > 0:57:34double Olympic champion, how does it feel?Honestly it feels insane. I

0:57:34 > 0:57:38mean, of course I believe in myself and I have dreams and I have goals

0:57:38 > 0:57:42but the level of riding has changed so much in the last couple of years,

0:57:42 > 0:57:47it wasn't nearly as much as in Sochi where I knew I had a good chance but

0:57:47 > 0:57:51here I have no idea because there are so many girls who could land a

0:57:51 > 0:57:57run and win the contest so I thought I would just let it go.At the end

0:57:57 > 0:58:00of the day, it is the Olympic final and everyone wanted to ride. It is

0:58:00 > 0:58:06not how I wanted or planned or visualised four years of prep work

0:58:06 > 0:58:10to go into today but I think if you were lucky with the winter there

0:58:10 > 0:58:16were some calm windows but the majority of it was super

0:58:16 > 0:58:19inconsistent and I don't think it was a true show of women's female

0:58:19 > 0:58:23slopestyle, which is a real shame for our sport but at the end of the

0:58:23 > 0:58:27day we have Big Air next week so we have to pick ourselves back up and

0:58:27 > 0:58:32stay strong and have a good rest and recovery and go hard next week. That

0:58:32 > 0:58:36is all for today but we will be back tomorrow at exactly the same time

0:58:36 > 0:58:41Iran BBC Four. With weather permitting it will be the highlights

0:58:41 > 0:58:45of the women's halfpipe final and live coverage kicks off at 1am on

0:58:45 > 0:58:49BBC One. There is also build-up for the incredible Elise Christie and

0:58:49 > 0:58:53her short track speed skating and fingers crossed you could be Great

0:58:53 > 0:58:57Britain 's first medal at the Pyeongchang Olympic Games.
