0:00:40 > 0:00:44Helen Lander welcome two-day four of the Winter Olympics. Yesterday

0:00:44 > 0:00:49another set of medals were awarded on a dramatic day here in

0:00:49 > 0:00:51Pyeongchang, including gold for Jamie Anderson in the woman

0:00:51 > 0:00:56Slopestyle. Canada in the team figure skating and the first medal

0:00:56 > 0:01:02for Australia to claim silver in the men's moguls. Team Canada are the

0:01:02 > 0:01:08Olympic champions.Laura Dahlmeier is now a double Winter Olympic

0:01:08 > 0:01:13champion.Jamie Anderson, goodness me, how liquid snowboarding.Mikael

0:01:13 > 0:01:19Kingsbury becomes champion at last. Martin Fourcade, so much character,

0:01:19 > 0:01:29so much heart.What a jump!Eight more gold medals on offer today. It

0:01:29 > 0:01:33is over to the women's halfpipe final were all eyes were on Chloe

0:01:33 > 0:01:40Kim, who was the clear favourite. Could anybody challenge her for

0:01:40 > 0:01:41gold? Over to Ed Leigh

0:01:41 > 0:01:42Could anybody challenge her for gold? Over to Ed Leigh Jenny Jones

0:01:42 > 0:01:48to find out more. The most successful snowboarder ever to strap

0:01:48 > 0:01:51in, in competition.This is Kelly's fifth Olympics, can you believe

0:01:51 > 0:01:56that?She has a gold that she claimed that the first time of

0:01:56 > 0:02:02asking in Salt Lake City. She has won bronze at the last boss Mike

0:02:02 > 0:02:06Olympics, and she is constantly asked when she is going to retire. A

0:02:06 > 0:02:10question you might have some sympathy with, Jenny. She is only a

0:02:10 > 0:02:15year older than I was when I was at the Olympics. It is easy to remind

0:02:15 > 0:02:18all the time of her age but if she is riding at this high level, why

0:02:18 > 0:02:24shouldn't be competing?

0:02:24 > 0:02:27shouldn't be competing?Massive! Signature frontside air, the

0:02:27 > 0:02:35backside 540. A lot of travel down the pipe. Huge one side ten. 1080 on

0:02:35 > 0:02:41the third hit, that is huge, into the switch frontside 720 then the

0:02:41 > 0:02:45backflip on the pipe, with the tail grab air. Kelly Clark has set a huge

0:02:45 > 0:02:54high mark here in the woman's halfpipe finals. The 34-year-old out

0:02:54 > 0:02:59of Newport Rhode

0:03:00 > 0:03:03of Newport Rhode Island,.She has come into this after having a bit of

0:03:03 > 0:03:07a wobble yesterday. She would not normally find herself dropping in at

0:03:07 > 0:03:12the beginning of the finals in 11th place at the moment. Coming into

0:03:12 > 0:03:16this, she is at a disadvantage having to drop near the start, but

0:03:16 > 0:03:22she looks so much more solid than she did yesterday. She came so high

0:03:22 > 0:03:28out of the pipe on that massive trick. In 2016, she came out at the

0:03:28 > 0:03:35US open in excruciating pain, came third, then went straight for hip

0:03:35 > 0:03:40surgery. Everyone was asking if this was the precursor to retirement.

0:03:40 > 0:03:46Here she is two years later at the fifth Olympics scoring 76.2 five.

0:03:46 > 0:03:52Next, Sena Tomita. The Japanese rider has been going from strength

0:03:52 > 0:04:05to strength, scoring a second in the same competition where we saw Emily

0:04:05 > 0:04:10Arthur take six. The Japanese focus on amplitude. They have really

0:04:10 > 0:04:16strong halfpipe programme. Just settling herself.Unit is that they

0:04:16 > 0:04:22have all got their earphones on, music is very important to a lot of

0:04:22 > 0:04:30these girls. -- you notice that.The frontside 900. Into the backside

0:04:30 > 0:04:42540. The frontside 720, just getting the ball inside the top of the lip,

0:04:42 > 0:04:47then the switch 720, then the frontside 540, then straight air to

0:04:47 > 0:04:53finish, lovely method. Great amplitude on this. The most

0:04:53 > 0:04:59technical trick of the run comes at the top of the pipe.If you do that

0:04:59 > 0:05:06at the top it gives you a lot more points.

0:05:06 > 0:05:11points.65.25 moves into second place just ahead of Mirabelle

0:05:11 > 0:05:17Thovex. Now the 24-year-old Haruna Matsumoto. She surprised a lot of

0:05:17 > 0:05:24people yesterday. And some other names from Japan who we expected to

0:05:24 > 0:05:32see up here, but, no. Has started to make headway in 2016, getting seven

0:05:32 > 0:05:39at the test event here then a second. The big frontside air, to

0:05:39 > 0:05:53start. The backside 540. The frontside 900.

0:05:55 > 0:06:02The switch seven, out of the front seven. Amplitude leads. And she

0:06:02 > 0:06:13claims it. Oh! It is really hard. These riders are really light, and

0:06:13 > 0:06:17to get high up, you need a bit of weight. If you haven't got it you

0:06:17 > 0:06:23take a more direct line down the pike to get speed up. By doing that

0:06:23 > 0:06:27you then lose hits and it changes the way that you do your tricks. It

0:06:27 > 0:06:31is such a toss-up between technicality, doing the tricks and

0:06:31 > 0:06:42also getting amplitude. 70 points for Haruna Matsumoto.

0:06:42 > 0:06:47for Haruna Matsumoto. Now Liu Jiayu, we have seen what she is capable of,

0:06:47 > 0:06:53one of the most technical, stylish, creative and higher ones that we

0:06:53 > 0:07:01have seen. And she does a lot of these tricks at the top.We will see

0:07:01 > 0:07:05hopefully, her first run, her stock run has asked which method and she

0:07:05 > 0:07:08is dropping them backwards now, and that is like riding with your left

0:07:08 > 0:07:14hand. She does the hardest, most stylish tricks for her first trick.

0:07:14 > 0:07:21It is so hard to keep your heel edge. This is a beautiful run. The

0:07:21 > 0:07:25big frontside five landing nicely, high into the transitions,

0:07:25 > 0:07:29back-to-back fives, now, the front seven, could have got it round a bit

0:07:29 > 0:07:34more, but her hands or indy air, she is happy. She looked so relax. The

0:07:34 > 0:07:40close-up that you saw of the landing of the frontside 720, the arms down

0:07:40 > 0:07:45by her side, the body language said it all. She was in control and she

0:07:45 > 0:07:52had that run absolutely dialled in. That is her stock trick that she put

0:07:52 > 0:07:56down, absolutely fine. She does not seem nervous at all. The frontside

0:07:56 > 0:08:03five of the first hit, and I think that this 720 could become a 1080 by

0:08:03 > 0:08:11the third run. What we have essentially done here, we put all

0:08:11 > 0:08:15the ingredients in a big stockpot, and we are going to gently bring

0:08:15 > 0:08:21them to the boil! Hopefully we will have a piping hot stew by the end of

0:08:21 > 0:08:24this final. And the attention to detail, she is getting the grabs and

0:08:24 > 0:08:31holding them. What is fascinating is that these women have come from dues

0:08:31 > 0:08:36Matt Dixon -- from gymnastics programmes in China, then you have

0:08:36 > 0:08:42them building slowly and taking snowboarding. She's happy with that.

0:08:42 > 0:08:53She's very, very happy. Chloe Kim. She is of South Korean descent.

0:08:53 > 0:08:58Parents emigrated to the United States. The youngest person ever to

0:08:58 > 0:09:06win three X Games gold medals. And she has won them consecutively.

0:09:06 > 0:09:11Wouldn't you love to know what is playing in her ear, now.She is

0:09:11 > 0:09:14without question the best halfpipe rider in the world. Whether she can

0:09:14 > 0:09:19put it together under pressure from the Chinese rider Liu Jiayu is what

0:09:19 > 0:09:24counts.

0:09:26 > 0:09:31counts. Boom! Huge, to start things off. She loses a bit of speed but

0:09:31 > 0:09:38still gets the 720 around. The frontside 900. There is the twist

0:09:38 > 0:09:52with the indie crap. Into a huge inverted seven. What a run --

0:09:52 > 0:09:53inverted seven. What a run -- with the indy grab. I'm not saying that

0:09:53 > 0:10:01she is ahead of the pack, but she is ahead of the pack!

0:10:03 > 0:10:05ahead of the pack! She keeps up amplitude the whole way down. That

0:10:05 > 0:10:14is unreal.This is a fascinating bit, the frontside 1080. Kelly Clark

0:10:14 > 0:10:18but at any third hit, Chloe Kim puts it in the second hit. This is the

0:10:18 > 0:10:25frontside 900 further down but out of the frontside 1080 Shias the

0:10:25 > 0:10:29switch 720. It lacked a bit of amplitude. For the first time ever

0:10:29 > 0:10:36at X Games two weeks ago we saw the back-to-back 1080. That is somewhere

0:10:36 > 0:10:41that Chloe Kim can go that nobody else can.And she has two more runs

0:10:41 > 0:10:47to give the back-to-back tens ago. The gauntlet has been laid down by

0:10:47 > 0:10:55Chloe Kim. Can you catch me? That is why she got 76 for the incredible

0:10:55 > 0:11:03run for Kelly Clark, the judges needed space to go, for Chloe Kim.

0:11:03 > 0:11:07On the form that she has shown over the last three years, it is almost

0:11:07 > 0:11:13expected. There you have it, the confirmation of first run schools.

0:11:13 > 0:11:20Chloe Kim in Gold Medal position. Liu Jiayu in second, Kelly Clark in

0:11:20 > 0:11:23bronze medal position has become tradition at Olympics, that was her

0:11:23 > 0:11:29position at both Sochi and Vancouver.

0:11:31 > 0:11:34Vancouver. Arielle Gold, from a snowboarding family, with her older

0:11:34 > 0:11:41brother, Taylor. The frontside 1080 on the first hit. Is she going to go

0:11:41 > 0:11:48a bit lighter? She landed it. She has scrubbed a few degrees off of

0:11:48 > 0:11:54the end of it, but she will take that. The backflip on the third hit.

0:11:54 > 0:12:00She needs to crank up the speed and take a more direct line down the

0:12:00 > 0:12:08pike, get the amplitude up. The frontside 900. Lovely, the finish.

0:12:08 > 0:12:13That is a very big run from Arielle Gold.A huge run. That is a cat

0:12:13 > 0:12:18amongst the pigeons run, right there. With this at the top of the

0:12:18 > 0:12:23pipe. She didn't quite get it round but she held the grab for a long

0:12:23 > 0:12:33time.Her Chloe Kim did the 1080 on the second hit. She has upped the

0:12:33 > 0:12:40risk level. I don't think she agrees with that. Her face drop.

0:12:40 > 0:12:46Interesting. Where can Kelly Clark go? She had a brilliant first run.

0:12:46 > 0:12:53Really, really strong.Did she have time to process what score just came

0:12:53 > 0:12:58in there for Arielle Gold? That may have affected what she then takes on

0:12:58 > 0:13:04from that, what the judges are looking for, etc. There were

0:13:04 > 0:13:10certainly a couple of holes, and under rotation on the 1080 could

0:13:10 > 0:13:18have been a big part of it. That was even bigger! Kelly Clark is going

0:13:18 > 0:13:23stratospheric. She's got to put the ten in here. She makes it again.

0:13:23 > 0:13:28Really nice. The speed has completely gone, but she can

0:13:28 > 0:13:32generate speed. The thing she's really good at is pumping those

0:13:32 > 0:13:38transitions.She is back up to near enough the two metre mark. She had

0:13:38 > 0:13:42both hands off the wheel, and dripped onto the tail for that last

0:13:42 > 0:13:49one. I think that is the biggest first hit we have seen, the 1080

0:13:49 > 0:13:54frontside air on the first hit. There it was, both hands on the

0:13:54 > 0:14:00tail.That is so satisfying, isn't it?

0:14:02 > 0:14:07it?81.75. They like the amplitude. They definitely liked the amplitude

0:14:07 > 0:14:13at the top. Queralt Castellet, no doubt that this woman has the

0:14:13 > 0:14:20ability to go stratospheric. Also incredibly technical. Currently sat

0:14:20 > 0:14:28in seventh place on 59.75. Lots of work to do.

0:14:35 > 0:14:45Beautiful style on the backside air. Really nice.Nice. The front nine,

0:14:45 > 0:14:55into the backside 540. The speed is there.Come on. 1080? Yes.Nice, she

0:14:55 > 0:14:58has squeaked it round. She was a little bit lower than she would have

0:14:58 > 0:15:05liked to have been because she landed solo in the 1080.The

0:15:05 > 0:15:09frontside 900 to the backside 540, gets the grab on that, really nice

0:15:09 > 0:15:23and solid. Is she joining the 1080s four club for that? In the 70s. Wow.

0:15:31 > 0:15:36Next up is Liu Jiayu, better known as bogey. She has a great run in the

0:15:36 > 0:15:39bag.She is ten points ahead of fourth place so she has breathing

0:15:39 > 0:15:48room.It is only four points.Ahead of fourth place. She is in the

0:15:48 > 0:15:56medals by ten points.Yes.

0:15:56 > 0:15:59medals by ten points.Yes.Switch backside air.A better tweet on Mac,

0:15:59 > 0:16:04I think. Into the switch seven. Really nice. You can see her taking

0:16:04 > 0:16:13a really direct line. Well else. Huge line, absolutely massive. She

0:16:13 > 0:16:17is happy. I think that was the same run. She is just tried to go a bit

0:16:17 > 0:16:23bigger honour to squeeze a bit more out of it.I would say was really

0:16:23 > 0:16:30clean, the landings. What it means is that she is not thinking about

0:16:30 > 0:16:36chasing down Chloe Kim, what it means is she is into securing silver

0:16:36 > 0:16:43medal position.Cementing second place, do you think any of the girls

0:16:43 > 0:16:48actually have that mindset?Lovely grub and Loughinisland end.She does

0:16:48 > 0:16:55a good job of keeping her speed. The amplitude has worked for her.It is

0:16:55 > 0:17:05the finishes, that is what it is,. She has put the pressure on this

0:17:05 > 0:17:14woman.Chloe Kim. Are we going to see the back to back ten? We have

0:17:14 > 0:17:20seen one at 1080 and she landed the very comfortably two weeks ago at

0:17:20 > 0:17:24the X Games.I wouldn't be fulled by the smiles and waves, she is a

0:17:24 > 0:17:30fierce competitor and I think she will unveil just why she is the

0:17:30 > 0:17:37Queen of ladies halfpipe at the moment. Are we going to see the ten?

0:17:37 > 0:17:44Yes. Oh! Chloe Kim is human after all. The first 1080 was lower. It

0:17:44 > 0:17:48was lower. She wasn't carrying much speed but even though she landed it

0:17:48 > 0:17:51is a perfectly it wasn't enough altitude on the third it to get the

0:17:51 > 0:17:581080 around. If that had been landed there was no one else with the

0:17:58 > 0:18:03back-to-back tens and that would've closed the door on the gold but now

0:18:03 > 0:18:08it is still open.Confirmation of the scores after the second descent

0:18:08 > 0:18:13down this enormous super pipe. Chloe Kim, Liu Jiayu you, Kelly Clark are

0:18:13 > 0:18:17in the medal positions and Arielle Gold has a 1080 just outside the

0:18:17 > 0:18:26medals. All four of the American team are in and the first of them to

0:18:26 > 0:18:33drop is Arielle Gold. She landed a brilliant run on her second run. Can

0:18:33 > 0:18:39she now step it up and tidy it up and make it as big and clean as it

0:18:39 > 0:18:45is possible to get? If she can, it could push Chloe Kim.A really

0:18:45 > 0:18:52could. She has arguably one the biggest halfpipe contest outside the

0:18:52 > 0:19:00X Games and you can get this done. She can challenge for a medal.

0:19:00 > 0:19:03She can challenge for a medal. Come on, Arielle Gold.Interestingly, her

0:19:03 > 0:19:07dad said to her, back in the day, when she first got into

0:19:07 > 0:19:10snowboarding, he said most girls do things the way girls do things and

0:19:10 > 0:19:14you need to snowboard like the men do. Or your brother who was also a

0:19:14 > 0:19:23pro.And also very good.That is an interesting comment.We will discuss

0:19:23 > 0:19:28after the run.Fx Machuge 1080 to kick things off. Switch seven and

0:19:28 > 0:19:34build up the speed for the amplitude. A nice backflip. She has

0:19:34 > 0:19:41lost some amplitude there. She really has.Frontside nine. Huge

0:19:41 > 0:19:48McTwist. Heave Ho at the bottom and the hands the air. Is it enough? Mr

0:19:48 > 0:19:54Speaker is that enough? I don't know.

0:19:55 > 0:19:59know. I think the school was so impressed because of the amplitude

0:19:59 > 0:20:03and the fourth hit just did not have it. She is grimacing because she

0:20:03 > 0:20:07knows that backside air...V how cleanly she gets the trick around

0:20:07 > 0:20:12because we know that is important. It is a clean landing, look.It is

0:20:12 > 0:20:19not far off.She under 90 degrees and it is only Chloe Kim who have

0:20:19 > 0:20:27backed cleaner and the first it is huge.

0:20:27 > 0:20:34huge.Lovely grabs. Land is high. She almost went a bit too straight

0:20:34 > 0:20:37across the pipe. She should have gone a bit further down and let it

0:20:37 > 0:20:44run a bit. No, it is not enough. I do not think it is enough. She is

0:20:44 > 0:20:50claiming it but...Well, it is clean. Obviously she felt something

0:20:50 > 0:20:57was better in that run.

0:20:57 > 0:21:03was better in that run.85.And 11 point shift. That is huge. You can

0:21:03 > 0:21:14hear the familiar USA child going down. It looks like it could be the

0:21:14 > 0:21:18third snowboard gold medal in the pipeline. We have already seen Red

0:21:18 > 0:21:24Gerard do it and Jamie Anderson do it.Kelly has got put trick into

0:21:24 > 0:21:29this, hasn't she?Another big trick. She has two.She is channelling her

0:21:29 > 0:21:38in a Beyonce here, come on. Do as Beyonce will do. A huge frontside

0:21:38 > 0:21:42errant she lands a bit flat and it kills the speed. Again a bit flat

0:21:42 > 0:21:49but she is holding the speed. A big frontside ten. It was beautiful. Now

0:21:49 > 0:21:54switch seven. Again landing flat. How is she still standing up?That

0:21:54 > 0:22:01was big.A huge crippler and I think that was the improvement.That was

0:22:01 > 0:22:07the extra heat as well. Can Kelly Clark move up the rankings with that

0:22:07 > 0:22:12one?How does she come back from losing that speed and then she just

0:22:12 > 0:22:20drives back into it.She is without a shadow of a

0:22:20 > 0:22:23a shadow of a doubt magic at finding speed in a halfpipe. She can find it

0:22:23 > 0:22:28from nowhere. If you looped -- if I landed flat like that you have

0:22:28 > 0:22:30instant pins and needles in your feet but she somehow manages to keep

0:22:30 > 0:22:38the speed. Every time she landed lie didn't think she could get massive

0:22:38 > 0:22:42but she did. A big backside by that you spoke about it, she is holding

0:22:42 > 0:22:46the grabs here.Look at that, all the way around. Check this, it is

0:22:46 > 0:22:49the only thing I would say something about there, she does grab it a

0:22:49 > 0:23:03little bit. Look at the height. A little bit of the ballerina in their

0:23:03 > 0:23:14but I don't hope to call this one really.

0:23:14 > 0:23:18really. 83.5.It is a slight improvement the Kelly Clark, but it

0:23:18 > 0:23:24is not enough to overhaul Arielle Gold. She remains in bronze medal

0:23:24 > 0:23:29position and an agonising wait now for Arielle Gold because we have ten

0:23:29 > 0:23:36riders still to drop. Yellow macro Kelly!I feel a bit bad for Kelly

0:23:36 > 0:23:43Clark. She was so close. But she has more medals and more trophies than

0:23:43 > 0:23:49anyone else. Give-macro she should be proud of that. In the

0:23:49 > 0:23:53snowboarding, not just women's snowboarding. There was no one else

0:23:53 > 0:23:56even in professional snowboarding now who rides at this level who was

0:23:56 > 0:24:01riding in Salt Lake City in 2002. 16 years ago. That is how long she has

0:24:01 > 0:24:09been at the top of her game.A great start -- a great step.Mirabelle

0:24:09 > 0:24:15Thovex is going for this. She has backed off.Straightaway you can see

0:24:15 > 0:24:21the difference in amplitude from the run before.You really can.An

0:24:21 > 0:24:28interesting choice of run. She used that trick at the very top of her

0:24:28 > 0:24:35run before. Was she going for a switch backside five? She looked

0:24:35 > 0:24:40like she was coming round for a second then. She used it and then

0:24:40 > 0:24:45inverted that run. It was the other way around on the run first time

0:24:45 > 0:24:53that's also highly for her. I cannot see how this is going to...

0:24:53 > 0:25:01Beautiful style. You can see it definitely runs in the family. You

0:25:01 > 0:25:08have never come across Candi Kovacs before type it in and it will be a

0:25:08 > 0:25:13display of the best free skiing that is available in the world. This is

0:25:13 > 0:25:22his

0:25:22 > 0:25:25his sister,. The Thovex dynasty is pretty impressive. It is an

0:25:25 > 0:25:29improvement on the first run score but she doesn't change position and

0:25:29 > 0:25:33you remains in eighth place. The pressure now comes back up to the

0:25:33 > 0:25:37top of the pipe and she has been so relaxed all day, Liu Jiayu of China.

0:25:37 > 0:25:43Her nickname is birdie. Such a relaxed rider. She has been taking

0:25:43 > 0:25:48cues from some of the most creative riders in snowboarding, Danny Davis

0:25:48 > 0:25:52being one of them, and she opens up this beautiful switch method, one of

0:25:52 > 0:25:57the hardest tricks.This is a celebration of snowboarding right.

0:25:57 > 0:26:03Get ready.

0:26:03 > 0:26:07Get ready. Beautiful and really nice height on the second hit. Here it

0:26:07 > 0:26:16is, the 1080, go on! 900.She is still so high.The frontside ten.

0:26:16 > 0:26:21Oh! She has gone! If she had landed that we would have had a big game on

0:26:21 > 0:26:27our hands. We would have had a big game on our hands. Joanna Leigh

0:26:27 > 0:26:36gives everything. -- Liu Jiayu gives it everything. She knows she is in

0:26:36 > 0:26:42there. She looks over the moon. Arielle Gold is absolutely made up.

0:26:42 > 0:26:47This was a beautiful switch method. Really difficult really hard and

0:26:47 > 0:26:51definitely if you were to award a stand that trick of the day for

0:26:51 > 0:26:56snowboarders, I think it would be the switch method. It is not Spinney

0:26:56 > 0:27:06flippy thing but it is nice and technical. So high.

0:27:06 > 0:27:09technical.So high.Cranking the spin of the 900 and putting a

0:27:09 > 0:27:13grabbing at the last minute. Tier still the height so she think she

0:27:13 > 0:27:18could actually do it. She had her foot flat to the floor the whole way

0:27:18 > 0:27:24through that run, fighting for the spin. It is not pretty but, oh! It

0:27:24 > 0:27:29has gone. She needed a bit more weight over the toe edge and there

0:27:29 > 0:27:33it is, confirmation the Chloe Kim that she is the 2018 women's

0:27:33 > 0:27:40snowboard halfpipe gold medallist. Liu Jiayu knows that she is the

0:27:40 > 0:27:45silver medallist.

0:27:46 > 0:27:50silver medallist. Her second runs scored gives her the silver. So, as

0:27:50 > 0:27:56has so often been the case was Shaun White, her fellow country person,

0:27:56 > 0:28:01Chloe Kim will be gifted the lap of honour.I love this. She tweeted

0:28:01 > 0:28:09this before she had even realised. She has tweeted, when I finish my

0:28:09 > 0:28:13breakfast, I wish I finish my breakfast but I decided not to now I

0:28:13 > 0:28:18am

0:28:19 > 0:28:25am getting hangry.Thank you for bringing that gem.She is eating is

0:28:25 > 0:28:36pipe up for breakfast.Please do the back-to-back temp macro one.She is

0:28:36 > 0:28:42going!Fx Macback-to-back 1080. She had her legs turned on and there was

0:28:42 > 0:28:53the McTwist that defies logic. A final

0:28:53 > 0:28:56final inverted seven. Wow! Following in the footsteps of the Sean White

0:28:56 > 0:28:59in Vancouver. She landed back-to-back 1080 when she did not

0:28:59 > 0:29:04need to.

0:29:05 > 0:29:10need to. Absolutely brilliant run from Chloe Kim and no disputing who

0:29:10 > 0:29:15takes the gold medal. I think we might be looking at the beginning of

0:29:15 > 0:29:20a very long reign for the new queen of halfpipe snowboarding.Such a

0:29:20 > 0:29:25strong rider, an amazing level of riding. The back foot over the edge.

0:29:25 > 0:29:33So difficult to get the body position for that. As soon as the

0:29:33 > 0:29:36front foot hits the lip she is gone. She uncorks like a wild cobra and

0:29:36 > 0:29:40comes all the way around and locks it in and there, at that point she

0:29:40 > 0:29:45is only looking at this trick. The composure when she was over the

0:29:45 > 0:29:52board. You need to have the 1080 know that you are landing it.She is

0:29:52 > 0:29:56clinging on there. I love that she went for both of those and got them

0:29:56 > 0:30:00just to make the point. She knows she has already won but look what

0:30:00 > 0:30:06she can do. I am so proud of this standard of writing. She should

0:30:06 > 0:30:12write hangry more often. I am terrible when hangry so we are fully

0:30:12 > 0:30:18aware but it works for her!Amazing. That, ladies and gentlemen, if the

0:30:18 > 0:30:25ladies halfpipe snowboarding at its very best. 98.25! A phenomenal run

0:30:25 > 0:30:31from Chloe Kim. Look at that. Look at what it means to her and it is

0:30:31 > 0:30:36not just the Americans in the crowd, the South Koreans, her lineage and

0:30:36 > 0:30:39South Korean and her parents emigrated to Southern California

0:30:39 > 0:30:44just before she was born. Now she has written here and claimed gold

0:30:44 > 0:30:52for two nations. Confirmation of the result. In bronze medal position,

0:30:52 > 0:30:56Arielle Gold, just missing out there you see Kelly Clark. In silver it is

0:30:56 > 0:31:02China with yellow gel and in gold medal position, dominating women's

0:31:02 > 0:31:05snowboard halfpipe it is Chloe Kim.

0:31:05 > 0:31:10and solid. Is she joining the 1080s four club for that? In the 70s. Wow.

0:31:10 > 0:31:15Well done, have you feared with the lovely support not only from home

0:31:15 > 0:31:23but here in Korea?I have some ice cream so I am fine with that.He did

0:31:23 > 0:31:29tweak that you are hangry earlier on.I was getting very hangry and

0:31:29 > 0:31:35not focusing because my stomach was rumbling. But I just channelled all

0:31:35 > 0:31:38that anger from having an anti-stomach into my third run, and

0:31:38 > 0:31:42I want.Massive congratulations, well done, how I was the standard in

0:31:42 > 0:31:48that contest? All of the girls put their hearts into choosing the run

0:31:48 > 0:31:54and I thought, I would just enjoy it. And I did. I did enjoy it and I

0:31:54 > 0:31:59got a silver medal for China, and it is an honour for me and my country.

0:31:59 > 0:32:03It was a really good showcase women's snowboarding and you are

0:32:03 > 0:32:08going home with a silver medal. Where do you go here? Wow, that was

0:32:08 > 0:32:16an amazing day. I was lucky to be there. And all my family were here

0:32:16 > 0:32:21to support me and all of my friends here and back in China to support me

0:32:21 > 0:32:26as well so I am so lucky. It is not luck, you have earned it, well done,

0:32:26 > 0:32:33congratulations. Thank you so much. I'm happy for my team-mate, Arielle

0:32:33 > 0:32:37Gold, getting third. She had a rough time in Sochi and this was what she

0:32:37 > 0:32:41needed.I'm so happy that we did it together. And we're going to get

0:32:41 > 0:32:46home wearing medals. After the disappointment of the women

0:32:46 > 0:32:50Slopestyle final yesterday it was great to see some riding today that

0:32:50 > 0:32:53showcased the level of women's snowboarding.Jenny, focused with a

0:32:53 > 0:33:00medals. Before I do, I have to give an ageing mention -- a mention to

0:33:00 > 0:33:04the amazing Kelly Clark who finished fourth in what is probably a fifth

0:33:04 > 0:33:07and final Olympics and she has been a pioneer of women's halfpipe

0:33:07 > 0:33:12riding. An inspiration to so many women including Arielle Gold, who

0:33:12 > 0:33:16came in bronze today. She persevered with that 1080 and landed at the

0:33:16 > 0:33:22third and final one. Liu Jiayu, the Chinese, fantastic final run but

0:33:22 > 0:33:25neither of them could hold a candle to Chloe Kim.She's on another

0:33:25 > 0:33:31level. She came as good as Shaun White. With all that expectation and

0:33:31 > 0:33:35pressure from the US and from her new-found fans here in Korea, the

0:33:35 > 0:33:39pressure was on the bus she won at a canter. And with that final victory

0:33:39 > 0:33:44run through the pipe she unveiled the back-to-back pens, proving just

0:33:44 > 0:33:50why she is the Queen of women's halfpipe snowboarding. -- the

0:33:50 > 0:33:55back-to-back tens.We are moving into a new era of women's halfpipe,

0:33:55 > 0:33:59Chloe Kim, take a bow. We will find out how the men get on tomorrow, can

0:33:59 > 0:34:05Shaun White reclaim his crown?Mr Shaun White, the finest of his

0:34:05 > 0:34:13generation. The eyes of the world are on this man.Absolutely massive!

0:34:13 > 0:34:25USA!A second gold medal. Shaun White unveils the Tomahawk! That is

0:34:25 > 0:34:33against the laws of physics! Absolutely phenomenal.Time to head

0:34:33 > 0:34:37over to the men's Cross country skiing sprint. This event dominated,

0:34:37 > 0:34:49as ever, by the Norwegians. Rob Walker and Katie musk

0:34:50 > 0:34:52Walker and Katie musk -- and Posy Musgrave can talk us through this

0:34:52 > 0:34:53one.

0:34:57 > 0:35:02The reigning champion from Italy, Federico Pellegrino. There is the

0:35:02 > 0:35:12big Italian. Very impressive in this, his less favoured style.

0:35:13 > 0:35:20this, his less favoured style. There is Klaebo. A massive response from

0:35:20 > 0:35:23the Norwegian crowd to Teodor Peterson. He got a silver, remember,

0:35:23 > 0:35:28four years ago.

0:35:31 > 0:35:33four years ago. That is Alexander Bolshunov who took the under 23

0:35:33 > 0:35:41silver, last year. Paal Golberg, have to work really hard to come

0:35:41 > 0:35:51through his quarterfinal.

0:35:53 > 0:35:59Alexander Panzhinskiy, took silver medal in Vancouver. The first

0:35:59 > 0:36:06semifinal in the men's classic cross-country. This is absolutely

0:36:06 > 0:36:12loaded, this race. It is more than good enough to be a final in its own

0:36:12 > 0:36:16right. Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo wearing two, alongside Alexander

0:36:16 > 0:36:22Bolshunov, are very talented young athletes from Russia, and the world

0:36:22 > 0:36:27champion at the moment, Pellegrino, in the distinctive blue of Italy,

0:36:27 > 0:36:34alongside the speedy Teodor Peterson. What a start this is for

0:36:34 > 0:36:41Bolshunov. We know that Klaebo likes to dominate from start to finish.

0:36:41 > 0:36:44Bolshunov has had a great start. We forget what a great young talent he

0:36:44 > 0:36:52is. We forget that he's only as well. In any other circumstantially

0:36:52 > 0:36:56-- he would be the person that we were all talking about what we're

0:36:56 > 0:37:00talking about Klaebo this year. He would prefer to be in first place

0:37:00 > 0:37:05but he will not panic. You can get the top of this run and turn round

0:37:05 > 0:37:10and will be looking manoeuvre himself back to the fun. Bolshunov

0:37:10 > 0:37:15is doing a great job at the moment to stay in the lead.Giving himself

0:37:15 > 0:37:21an opportunity as Pellegrino, the world champion moves ahead of

0:37:21 > 0:37:25Peterson. I wonder whether Bolshunov will be aware that this type of Hill

0:37:25 > 0:37:29plays to the strengths of Klaebo, which is why he's trying to get

0:37:29 > 0:37:33himself in a good, clear position ahead of the inevitable attack from

0:37:33 > 0:37:36the Norwegian Apple come from the right-hand side of the Russian.

0:37:36 > 0:37:45There goes Klaebo. There he goes. I think that Klaebo will be putting on

0:37:45 > 0:37:50the jets at the top of the hill. Try to get in front, so that he has the

0:37:50 > 0:37:55lead at the top of the hill. And again, just able to put a bit of

0:37:55 > 0:37:58space between himself and the rest of the field. Pellegrino and

0:37:58 > 0:38:02Bolshunov need to stay with them when they come over the top but with

0:38:02 > 0:38:06Klaebo in that front position, that's way likes best, and just

0:38:06 > 0:38:09fantastic as he comes over the top of the hill. Brilliant acceleration

0:38:09 > 0:38:14from the Norwegian. Allegri no climbs a beautifully to move up from

0:38:14 > 0:38:17third or fourth in to move up from third or fourth into clear second

0:38:17 > 0:38:24place.He had nothing on Klaebo as he came over the top. The leader was

0:38:24 > 0:38:27the make absently certain and suddenly Bolshunov, the early leader

0:38:27 > 0:38:32is coming under real pressure. The trouble with having someone like

0:38:32 > 0:38:37Klaebo around is people think, what can we do to beat him, so Bolshunov

0:38:37 > 0:38:41has tried to lead on the front, but he has paid for it now because he

0:38:41 > 0:38:51has tired. Pellegrino is looking fantastic.

0:38:51 > 0:38:55fantastic.Klaebo showing real class. Pellegrino on the left,

0:38:55 > 0:38:59Bolshunov on the right and remember only the first two guaranteed

0:38:59 > 0:39:05passage to the final. Klaebo easing up, Pellegrino closing him down and

0:39:05 > 0:39:08Bolshunov will have to weight and see whether he is good enough to go

0:39:08 > 0:39:14through as fastest loser. Great stuff from the Norwegian and the

0:39:14 > 0:39:19Italian.

0:39:21 > 0:39:26Italian. Bolshunov, paid a little bit for his early pace. But he was

0:39:26 > 0:39:33just desperate to do something to ski the sting out of the finish from

0:39:33 > 0:39:37Klaebo. Unable to do so on that occasion. He will have to weight to

0:39:37 > 0:39:45see whether that time is good enough to go through as fastest loser.Very

0:39:45 > 0:39:49impressed with Pellegrino today. We think of him as a skate specialist

0:39:49 > 0:39:55and we don't expect much from him as classic. Unlike the way that he is

0:39:55 > 0:40:01skiing. Looking very smooth and strong these uphill parts of the

0:40:01 > 0:40:04course, which is very important to get yourself in place for the

0:40:04 > 0:40:10finishing sprint.Klaebo, one race away from Olympic glory, and

0:40:10 > 0:40:22Pellegrino will be joining him in that final. Oskar Svensson.

0:40:22 > 0:40:29that final. Oskar Svensson. Two Finns in this one. One of them the

0:40:29 > 0:40:36fastest qualifier. That is why he is wearing number one.

0:40:36 > 0:40:38wearing number one. The Norwegian Emil Iversen in this one, keen to

0:40:38 > 0:40:43make amends for that tussle in the team sprint at the World

0:40:43 > 0:40:55Championships last year. Len Valjas coming through in the quarterfinals.

0:40:55 > 0:40:59You can tell how cold it is by the fact that they are waiting to the

0:40:59 > 0:41:07last minute to take off their outer layers.

0:41:14 > 0:41:19A big opportunity for these guys now. You would have to say, no

0:41:19 > 0:41:24disrespect to the six men lining up that Klaebo or Pellegrino you would

0:41:24 > 0:41:31fancy would be the favourites above the six men here.I think that first

0:41:31 > 0:41:43semifinal for me was a bit stronger. Being in the first semifinal against

0:41:43 > 0:41:49them a little bit more recovery.

0:41:49 > 0:41:54them a little bit more recovery. The fastest qualifier, Hakola, with the

0:41:54 > 0:42:03Finns in the crowd getting very excited.

0:42:03 > 0:42:06excited. Emil Iversen, he was in good form coming into the Olympic

0:42:06 > 0:42:12Games. Evil fanciers chances as well, coming into this. -- Emil

0:42:12 > 0:42:17Iversen.

0:42:18 > 0:42:28Iversen. And there is Ristomatti Hakola. The second semifinal. Right,

0:42:28 > 0:42:31who is joining Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo and Federico Pellegrino from

0:42:31 > 0:42:38the first semifinal in the big showdown? Emil Iversen is trying to

0:42:38 > 0:42:45close the gap down. Ristomatti Hakola, the fastest qualifier, and

0:42:45 > 0:42:52what an evening it is turning out to be for the Finn. He was six in the

0:42:52 > 0:42:55World Championships last year, is going to give himself another

0:42:55 > 0:43:08opportunity of making the big final at this rate.I quite like the

0:43:08 > 0:43:11chances of McVitie. Svensson is looking strong, and Hakola is

0:43:11 > 0:43:22looking strong. -- of Iverson. Hakola made the final last year, the

0:43:22 > 0:43:25quickest qualifier. Not necessarily the highest profile man we have been

0:43:25 > 0:43:32talking about, but he's doing the business. He is fresh. Emil Iversen

0:43:32 > 0:43:36was second in one of the recent World Cup races and he takes a

0:43:36 > 0:43:44little look over his shoulder just to see where Martti Jylhae is. The

0:43:44 > 0:43:51first two and the times of the fastest losers.

0:43:54 > 0:43:58fastest losers.I do that first expect semifinal to be fastest just

0:43:58 > 0:44:02with the depth in that one. But you never know. These guys know that

0:44:02 > 0:44:07they need to be in the top two, and sometimes then, you don't mess

0:44:07 > 0:44:16around with tactics. Looking hot at the front, Oskar Svensson. He's gone

0:44:16 > 0:44:21to have to work harder. Ristomatti Hakola wearing number one, wants to

0:44:21 > 0:44:24make absolutely certain that he is through to take on the best from the

0:44:24 > 0:44:32first semifinal. Pellegrino and Klaebo. Good pushing at the moment

0:44:32 > 0:44:37from Oskar Svensson. Finland from Sweden at the moment. It is building

0:44:37 > 0:44:41up to what promises to be a mouthwatering final between the very

0:44:41 > 0:44:46best sprinters in the world. What can Iversen do over the closing

0:44:46 > 0:44:51stages to try to narrow this gap from third to second? These two look

0:44:51 > 0:44:56comfortable at the moment. Just got to maintain their focus. They have

0:44:56 > 0:45:04done the tricky right-hander. There was a time between the two of them.

0:45:08 > 0:45:13That was unnecessary. He didn't need to mess around with pushing

0:45:13 > 0:45:17Ristomatti Hakola there.Ristomatti Hakola is hoping to make it through

0:45:17 > 0:45:22to a from excessive global final. It finished last in the showdown last

0:45:22 > 0:45:26year and this is much better from him. Oskar Svensson, he can afford

0:45:26 > 0:45:32to look over his shoulder. It is Ristomatti Hakola and Oskar Svensson

0:45:32 > 0:45:37and they will not be fastest losers from this one so it will be

0:45:37 > 0:45:48disappointing for the others. Ristomatti Hakola Oskar Svensson of

0:45:48 > 0:45:55the two men make it through from this final.Really nice game. They

0:45:55 > 0:45:58were able to ski home without too much stress down the finishing

0:45:58 > 0:46:06straight.

0:46:06 > 0:46:09straight.Ristomatti Hakola cannot be regarded as an outsider in this

0:46:09 > 0:46:13one. This is where I got a bit tight between the two of the man bearing

0:46:13 > 0:46:17in mind how much they were clear of the other skiers, it would have been

0:46:17 > 0:46:22needless for one to take the other out but it was close.I think Oskar

0:46:22 > 0:46:27Svensson was being a bit silly there because wrist at it Hakula took that

0:46:27 > 0:46:31corner of the white but he had every right to because it was the line he

0:46:31 > 0:46:37was naturally taking anti-wasn't trying to block Oskar Svensson. They

0:46:37 > 0:46:40know to get that out of their mind and focus on the final now. One more

0:46:40 > 0:46:47race to go.Ristomatti Hakola is the fastest qualifier and Oskar Svensson

0:46:47 > 0:46:54in second. They are the two men who will join the best of the first

0:46:54 > 0:47:02semifinal in what promises to be a mouthwatering showdown for gold.

0:47:06 > 0:47:11mouthwatering showdown for gold. Can anybody

0:47:11 > 0:47:16anybody stop Klaebo in that final? A giant proportion of the Norwegian

0:47:16 > 0:47:19population will be tuning in for this earned interrupting lessons at

0:47:19 > 0:47:23school to take a few minutes out to watch this race of great drama, in

0:47:23 > 0:47:28which they have not just one but two representatives.I imagine Norway

0:47:28 > 0:47:36will be on a big tea break at work at the moment while they watch this.

0:47:36 > 0:47:43OK, the snow has stopped and the skies have cleared. The floodlights

0:47:43 > 0:47:54illuminating the drama in all its glory. Is this the moment as we

0:47:54 > 0:47:59watch Paal Golberg, one of the two Norwegians in this one. Various

0:47:59 > 0:48:03Ristomatti Hakola. Is this the night and the moment where Johannes

0:48:03 > 0:48:08Hoesflot Klaebo turns all the potential and all the World Cup wins

0:48:08 > 0:48:14into Winter Olympic glory.I am nervous for him so I can only

0:48:14 > 0:48:19imagine what he is feeling right now.He is making a statement with

0:48:19 > 0:48:24the pink shades.Matching gloves and poles as well, very well

0:48:24 > 0:48:31coordinated.So many Norwegians have made this long journey here to

0:48:31 > 0:48:38Pyeongchang. It is a freezing cold night and there hoping to be warmed

0:48:38 > 0:48:42and illuminated by a 21-year-old star in the making who delivers the

0:48:42 > 0:48:47biggest occasion of his life. There is Ristomatti Hakola, the fastest

0:48:47 > 0:48:51qualifier. You make the final of the World Championships last year. Can

0:48:51 > 0:49:00he upset the bigger names on his outside? Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo is

0:49:00 > 0:49:06the new dominant force in cross country sprinting. This is the

0:49:06 > 0:49:12biggest test of his life. Federico Pellegrino, a hugely charismatic

0:49:12 > 0:49:22Italian and reigning world champion. Alexander Bolshunov, the world 23

0:49:22 > 0:49:26silver medallist in this event last year. Long man of -- E Young man of

0:49:26 > 0:49:33huge talent. Paal Golberg twice in the top ten in the World Cup this

0:49:33 > 0:49:36season, can get it right just as accounts? This is the cross-country

0:49:36 > 0:49:46sprint final for men. Watch the fireworks fly. Klaebo is wearing two

0:49:46 > 0:49:51and Pellegrino is of defending world champion. He is wearing nine. Look

0:49:51 > 0:49:56at the outside, Bolshunov trying to put Klaebo under pressure. There he

0:49:56 > 0:50:03is, the man on who an nation expects. Can Klaebo deliver?

0:50:03 > 0:50:07Bolshunov going to the front. That will not panic the young Norwegian

0:50:07 > 0:50:12just at the moment. Pellegrino is in third, trying to close the gap on

0:50:12 > 0:50:20the two Young pretenders up ahead of him. Bolshunov from Klaebo.

0:50:20 > 0:50:23him. Bolshunov from Klaebo.A gap opening up already on the field and

0:50:23 > 0:50:26Bolshunov tried this in the semifinal I tried to get in front

0:50:26 > 0:50:30and not let Klaebo have its own way and it didn't work in the semifinal.

0:50:30 > 0:50:34We work in the final? I'm not convinced her part.Bolshunov is

0:50:34 > 0:50:37doing that he can to give himself the opportunity to produce what

0:50:37 > 0:50:44would be a huge upset because he is the favourite for this one, Johannes

0:50:44 > 0:50:47Hoesflot Klaebo, there is no doubt, but is one thing being a favourite,

0:50:47 > 0:50:50you're got to deliver and Pellegrino is not too far behind the world

0:50:50 > 0:50:57champion in third. There is a bit of a gap there but it is no close deal.

0:50:57 > 0:51:01Pellegrino is doing a good job to close it back again. Elephantastic

0:51:01 > 0:51:05ski in the second semifinal and he made up the bitter ground here and I

0:51:05 > 0:51:09am expecting Klaebo to do the same as it did in the semi and I think it

0:51:09 > 0:51:14will put on the Jets any time now. He goes to the right of Bolshunov

0:51:14 > 0:51:23and he gets a clear lane so he can push forward and get in front. He is

0:51:23 > 0:51:27driving and pushing. He has got the weight of the nation on his

0:51:27 > 0:51:31shoulders. He is carrying that favourite tag, but at the moment he

0:51:31 > 0:51:37is living up to the hype. He has got his own unique style and he is

0:51:37 > 0:51:43streaking away from a world class field now on a brutal incline and he

0:51:43 > 0:51:48has made it look easy. Bolshunov this class and in second place at

0:51:48 > 0:51:54the world champion, Pellegrino, is in third but surely this is now

0:51:54 > 0:51:58Klaebo 's to take. He did the monstrous climb in style. Yellow

0:51:58 > 0:52:03Macri Best the field apart as he ran across the top of the hill.He was

0:52:03 > 0:52:07tight at the bottom and it didn't look like a sure thing but at the

0:52:07 > 0:52:11top of the field he has clear Skase -- space between man he could cruise

0:52:11 > 0:52:15home now but I think he will keep on pushing figures around the corner so

0:52:15 > 0:52:20he can guarantee himself a gold-medal.We are watching a

0:52:20 > 0:52:24separate battle here. Canas has the club have looked over his shoulder.

0:52:24 > 0:52:31He has taken apart and amazing field and he is miles clear. You do not

0:52:31 > 0:52:36see sprint races won by this margin. Bolshunov is winning the battle for

0:52:36 > 0:52:41silver at the moment but Pellegrino is closing him down. It is a

0:52:41 > 0:52:43glittering and glorious night for Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo who lives

0:52:43 > 0:52:50up to all the hype and expectation. A new star is born tonight here in

0:52:50 > 0:52:56gold chain. Pellegrino lunging for the line to try and steal the silver

0:52:56 > 0:53:01medal from Bolshunov. That was the sideshow. The main attraction was

0:53:01 > 0:53:04the star man delivering under the most immense pressure with the

0:53:04 > 0:53:10nominal style and grace. Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo, remember the name,

0:53:10 > 0:53:17you saw his first Winter Olympic gold right here in Pyeongchang.

0:53:19 > 0:53:21gold right here in Pyeongchang. We said we would see as star in the

0:53:21 > 0:53:25making and he lived up to the hype. It was unbelievable. Still waiting

0:53:25 > 0:53:30to find out who got the silver and bronze. Pellegrino has just been

0:53:30 > 0:53:36confirmed as having the silver medal, what an amazing ski from him.

0:53:36 > 0:53:42It was by eight hundredths of a second but Klaebo was already easing

0:53:42 > 0:53:48up at the line. That is incredible from a 21-year-old. Bearing in mind

0:53:48 > 0:53:52just how much hype there would have been around that race in Norway, and

0:53:52 > 0:53:56he would have known that. He is on social media and he knows the

0:53:56 > 0:54:00questions he has been getting in press conferences in the last 1.5

0:54:00 > 0:54:04weeks here and the last 1.5 months back in Norway, it was absolutely

0:54:04 > 0:54:09phenomenal. Let us focus on the brilliant lunch for the line from

0:54:09 > 0:54:18Pellegrino. Making that huge frame count. Two 100th of a second and he

0:54:18 > 0:54:21had longer legs, it doesn't matter how he did it, it was silver for him

0:54:21 > 0:54:28and bronze for Bolshunov.Brilliant ski from Pellegrino. We shouldn't

0:54:28 > 0:54:32take anything away from the other two guys on the podium because they

0:54:32 > 0:54:37had fantastic skis. Pellegrino will find this really sweet. As we said

0:54:37 > 0:54:40earlier, we discount in classic but to come to take a tonight, he will

0:54:40 > 0:54:44not care about all of those other results. It was a great final,

0:54:44 > 0:54:51absolutely brilliant. The manner of that victory reminds me of Usain

0:54:51 > 0:54:56Bolt thumping his chest in 2008 unexpectedly and brilliantly winning

0:54:56 > 0:55:03the first of his story Olympic 100 metre titles. A different surface, a

0:55:03 > 0:55:08different man, the same impact. That was absolutely huge from the

0:55:08 > 0:55:14Norwegian. Races over that distance are never won by that margin, that

0:55:14 > 0:55:18was immense. He has the confidence and belief in himself and he came

0:55:18 > 0:55:21here to win and anything less than a victory, and a resounding victory,

0:55:21 > 0:55:26that was what he was looking for. It is just phenomenal. As you say, you

0:55:26 > 0:55:30do not see people tap at the field like that and to have metres of

0:55:30 > 0:55:34space and be able to cruise across the line with 50 metres to go is

0:55:34 > 0:55:41just unheard of.It was a privilege to witness that race. Pellegrino

0:55:41 > 0:55:47soaking up the adulation of the crowd. It has been a really good

0:55:47 > 0:55:51atmosphere and so many Norwegians, Italians Swedes and Finns and even a

0:55:51 > 0:55:55South Korean volunteers are getting in on the action. Anyone there to

0:55:55 > 0:56:00die is being treated to a really great night of racing. Johannes

0:56:00 > 0:56:04Hoesflot Klaebo is the Winter Olympics sprint champion and he did

0:56:04 > 0:56:07it in style. The world champion, Pellegrino in second and Bolshunov

0:56:07 > 0:56:12takes the bronze.

0:56:12 > 0:56:17Pellegrino in second and Bolshunov takes the bronze.
