:00:13. > :00:20.Welcome to viewers on BBC One to the Winter Olympics and the men's

:00:21. > :00:28.curling final. Great Britain taking on Canada. It would be the first

:00:29. > :00:38.time that Great Britain has one two gold medals at an Olympic Games.

:00:39. > :00:55.It is very early stages, but already Great Britain are in a tricky

:00:56. > :01:03.situation. Brad Jacobs wondering whether to try to take those two

:01:04. > :01:17.that are there. Dave Murdoch has opened things up a little bit. Brad

:01:18. > :01:28.Jacobs can protect this or decide to put more pressure on Dave Murdoch.

:01:29. > :01:46.The decision has been made. He is going to come up and corner freeze

:01:47. > :01:55.his own red to make it difficult for Dave to do anything with his last

:01:56. > :02:00.stone. Dave will be hoping he can clear at least a couple of them

:02:01. > :02:10.out. He will not be wanting to give up more than two. The first shot of

:02:11. > :02:25.the Olympic final or the Canadian skip. -- for the Canadian skip. Not

:02:26. > :02:31.a bad effort. That was very well held. We saw earlier the closer you

:02:32. > :02:47.get to the centre line the bigger the pull. That is very good.

:02:48. > :02:58.Straight into that pocket. Any good? I think however we look at it

:02:59. > :03:06.it is two given away at this end. Minimum. This is not the start we

:03:07. > :03:15.were looking for. People back home will be on the edge of their seats.

:03:16. > :03:22.I wonder whether the outside stone could give him some to come into the

:03:23. > :03:29.other three, or not. Is that what he is playing? It is difficult to know

:03:30. > :03:41.whether he is going to come onto those. We will find out. This has to

:03:42. > :03:55.fall right. He needs a little bit of luck. Great shot. Brilliant. Very

:03:56. > :04:11.well played. I was not sure if he was going to leave two in. It still

:04:12. > :04:20.leaves Brad Jacobs with a draw for his two, but that was a good shot.

:04:21. > :04:31.They fear the shot-making capabilities of Dave Murdoch. Brad

:04:32. > :04:38.Jacobs sees a big scoring opportunity in this first and taken

:04:39. > :04:53.away by Dave Murdoch. If he gets this right, he will get his two. You

:04:54. > :05:00.are on the red. We are good. Nice draw from the Canadian skip to get

:05:01. > :05:08.two in the first end. It could have been even worse when it's not for a

:05:09. > :05:24.wonderful shot from the British skip. -- were it not for. They will

:05:25. > :05:39.have to make sure they match the Canadians shot for shot. You can

:05:40. > :05:52.probably hear Dave Murdoch saying, let's get our two act. One thing you

:05:53. > :06:04.can say is that the Canadians, as we looked down at our computer

:06:05. > :06:16.analysis, we can tell you that they are being marked for percentages,

:06:17. > :06:23.and all four have 100%. I am not sure I have seen that. They can only

:06:24. > :06:35.get worse, that is one way of looking at it.

:06:36. > :06:44.The British team have to settle down and start playing their shots and

:06:45. > :07:07.start being as accurate as the Canadians have been already. Looking

:07:08. > :07:26.for an in turn draw here. That is OK. A fraction too far. He was going

:07:27. > :07:33.to ask him to come in and freeze, but now that they can see all of it,

:07:34. > :07:48.electing to peel less one away -- this one away. The first four

:07:49. > :08:00.stones, the red line, the first four stones cannot be removed but they

:08:01. > :08:05.can if they are in the house. Great Britain cannot remove until four

:08:06. > :08:20.stones have been played by each team.

:08:21. > :08:38.We need this one to come little bit closer. -- a little bit closer. Did

:08:39. > :08:46.you see the umpire at the end of the first end walked up to the British

:08:47. > :08:52.team? Michael Goodfellow has walked off because his shirt has nothing on

:08:53. > :08:58.the back, his shirt does not have his name on and he has been asked to

:08:59. > :09:11.change his shirt. He has left the arena. Something for the ladies!

:09:12. > :09:16.That is a shirt violation. It is part of the rules to have your name

:09:17. > :09:30.on the back. I am not sure if that is a mistake. We only have one

:09:31. > :09:39.sweeper, Greg Drummond. Not a good start from Scott Andrews. I think in

:09:40. > :09:56.a few matches Scott has started wait nervously -- quite nervously. Now

:09:57. > :10:08.that that excitement is over... I am all hot and bothered! Canada have

:10:09. > :10:23.the advantage swing in their direction a little. That is not so

:10:24. > :10:34.bad. Scott Andrews, understandably, he has nerves, all of them will

:10:35. > :10:46.have. All of his fans in Ayrshire will be wishing him the best.

:10:47. > :10:59.Michael Goodfellow is back to help with this sweeping. Just catching

:11:00. > :11:08.it, but only just. They have managed to sweep that enough, it is not far

:11:09. > :11:18.away, just fractions. This is the problem. If you do not start on fire

:11:19. > :11:24.against Canada you can suddenly find yourself with a massive mountain to

:11:25. > :11:33.climb. Somehow we have to hang onto them, even if we are not playing

:11:34. > :11:52.well. A little error from Ryan Fry will stop an opportunity -- gives us

:11:53. > :12:04.an opportunity. Plenty for Dave Murdoch to work with.

:12:05. > :12:41.Soren Gran, College of the GB men -- the coach. Tom Brewster the fifth

:12:42. > :12:47.man at these championships. He set up this team with the front end and

:12:48. > :13:01.took these boys to the World Championships and picked up two

:13:02. > :13:10.silvers and then gave a Dave Murdoch came in about a year ago. Tell me

:13:11. > :13:20.about Ryan Fry. He followed that all the way down. Is that bravado? No, I

:13:21. > :13:29.think it is a little bit old-fashioned, a lot of curlers did

:13:30. > :13:38.that, I do not think it is necessary. It is maybe a bit of

:13:39. > :13:47.showmanship, I have no idea. This is shaping up a little bit better, a

:13:48. > :14:10.nice shot from Greg Drummond. There was a lot of curl.

:14:11. > :14:31.Brad Jacobs, this bombastic skip of the Canadian team.

:14:32. > :14:45.He would have liked a little bit more of a roll there. Just takes one

:14:46. > :14:55.mistake, and this end shaping up. Not big ones, but it is shaping up

:14:56. > :14:58.to go our way. A nice straightforward end after the drama

:14:59. > :15:04.of the first end would be perfect for Great Britain. Dave Murdoch with

:15:05. > :15:08.these two stones will try to make sure that he sits comfortably, and

:15:09. > :15:11.Jacobs will have to take his out, and then Dave Murdoch can come in

:15:12. > :15:24.and get his two, hopefully. Not much option here for the

:15:25. > :15:39.Canadian skip. He will be looking for a little roll

:15:40. > :15:45.into the centre there. He tried it last time, and it didn't quite come

:15:46. > :15:52.off. Let's see if he can play a better shot here from his point of

:15:53. > :15:56.view. This is a slightly easier shot to play, because Dave Murdoch's

:15:57. > :15:59.stone is sat a little closer to the centre line. And that gives Jacobs

:16:00. > :16:21.something he can roll behind. That is a nice shot. I thought he

:16:22. > :16:30.had laid it high there, but as the weight came off it, it drew closer

:16:31. > :16:34.to the centre line. Dave can't use that read on to yellow, because that

:16:35. > :16:36.will go in the wrong direction. -- that red stone onto the yellow

:16:37. > :16:48.stone. When you come down, he will want to

:16:49. > :16:56.try to tap that back. He has just got to be so careful with weight

:16:57. > :17:05.here. He can only see in inch, if he is lucky. It just won't come at all.

:17:06. > :17:09.He needs to catch enough of it so that he doesn't roll too far

:17:10. > :17:17.himself, needs enough weight to push it back, so this is a very difficult

:17:18. > :17:19.shot. He had to rescue his team in the first end to limit the damage to

:17:20. > :17:35.two. He needs enough weight to try to tap

:17:36. > :17:46.this Canadian stone back. As Jackie says, if he doesn't roll out... No.

:17:47. > :17:57.It is going to be close. It is one, but not the two he wanted. A good

:17:58. > :18:03.effort from David Murdoch. Another half an inch of curl, and he would

:18:04. > :18:10.have got it. So after two ends, it is advantage Canada. They have the

:18:11. > :18:15.hammer in the next, and it will be important for Britain to limit the

:18:16. > :18:20.if they can. It wasn't a bad end. Just maybe the first shot from

:18:21. > :18:23.Murdoch would have been nice if it had just sat slightly the other

:18:24. > :18:31.side, and then it wouldn't have been so easy for Jacobs to hit and

:18:32. > :18:37.rolling behind those guards. But goodness, he had a go at it. We said

:18:38. > :18:43.if the angle wasn't right, he would roll out, and he just rolled a few

:18:44. > :18:47.inches further than the Canadian stone. Close, but that's what this

:18:48. > :19:04.game is all about. A tough start, Jackie. Yes. I am

:19:05. > :19:14.really glad we got one there. I was beginning to see the ladies bronze

:19:15. > :19:23.medal game there, when we were 3-0 down, in the semifinals, sorry. But

:19:24. > :19:28.that was well recovered, sorry. Not the end that we would possibly have

:19:29. > :19:32.wanted, they were definitely playing for the two, and they were just

:19:33. > :19:42.unlucky. But if we can keep Canada to the one here, and take two in the

:19:43. > :19:43.next end. The boys will be thinking that, always think two or three

:19:44. > :19:56.shots ahead. Hardline, guys! Take it. These

:19:57. > :20:01.Canadians pride themselves on their sweeping ability. All of them list

:20:02. > :20:08.among their hobbies weightlifting, being in the gym. It is so much part

:20:09. > :20:13.of their game. That went just a little far there, perhaps, Ryan

:20:14. > :20:18.Harnden. The youngest of the two brothers, he is 27. We have spoken

:20:19. > :20:24.about this all week. These lead players play a crucial role in the

:20:25. > :20:31.game of curling. Their stone placement is key to how the game

:20:32. > :20:37.will be played. And that first stone of Canada there has just gone behind

:20:38. > :20:56.the T. That is just going to slip past, as

:20:57. > :21:00.well. These shots, that we are trying to describe to you, it is so

:21:01. > :21:02.important that they are almost perfect, because at this level, you

:21:03. > :21:08.will be punished. Close is good, but it's not good

:21:09. > :21:32.enough. And again, if you are wondering, the

:21:33. > :21:38.sweepers are relying on themselves and the players to limit the stone,

:21:39. > :21:44.and the skip asking them to hold the line, which they can do by

:21:45. > :21:51.sweeping, and to also let the stone travel little further if necessary.

:21:52. > :21:59.Scott Andrews just needs to settle them. A couple of good shots from

:22:00. > :22:09.him would be good. This looked like it is struggling for line and wait.

:22:10. > :22:14.Just get it passed. -- line and weight.

:22:15. > :22:20.That would have curled into that guard, just what they wanted. The

:22:21. > :22:42.sweepers just got it by. They just want to come down and sit

:22:43. > :22:48.right on the bottom there. It is all about setting the end up. We saw

:22:49. > :22:57.lots of this this morning in the bronze medal match. At some point,

:22:58. > :23:05.there were many stones moved, one big hit and they all scatter. This

:23:06. > :23:11.isn't what he wanted, either. They may actually have got away with

:23:12. > :23:13.that. He tapped his own back there. He was looking to come in and freeze

:23:14. > :23:26.on top of the yellow. Jackie was making the point that

:23:27. > :23:34.this morning, they blanked the first end, and the second, third and

:23:35. > :23:43.fourth end, we saw some great shots the skippers. -- the skips. Both

:23:44. > :23:49.players were not frightened to have stones in the house, and the

:23:50. > :23:54.Canadians, too, play a lot more of this style of game. The only thing

:23:55. > :24:03.for them is they know Dave Murdoch can make the big shots. They feel as

:24:04. > :24:09.though it just forces the issue. They play this game week ending,

:24:10. > :24:12.weekend out. They have really good international ice. This is pulling a

:24:13. > :24:31.lot. Will they catch the guard? That is a real shame. Scott Andrews

:24:32. > :24:34.has had some really good games, and this is the Olympic final, and we

:24:35. > :24:39.have to give them a little bit of leeway here. They will be nervous.

:24:40. > :24:47.They have to settle them. Unfortunately for Scott, it is lying

:24:48. > :24:51.on him at the moment. He is the one who has struggled here out of all of

:24:52. > :25:00.these players. There have been mistakes elsewhere. He has struggled

:25:01. > :25:08.to find a good stone. The sweepers have helped it in. He just asked to

:25:09. > :25:27.continue to block that out. What about this one?

:25:28. > :25:35.He is trying to convince himself it is pretty good, if he says it often

:25:36. > :25:38.enough. They are just getting a little bit off, I wouldn't call it

:25:39. > :25:44.luck, because you find your own luck in this, but a couple of their

:25:45. > :25:50.shots which haven't been delivered perfectly have been OK. But if you

:25:51. > :25:58.are coming into the house like that, you can just catch a nice little

:25:59. > :26:08.tap. But if you err are coming in and you hit the guard, it is more of

:26:09. > :26:14.the difficulty for your team. So we need to catch this one on the nose.

:26:15. > :26:21.Greg has just pushed that one... My heart bleeds for these guys. I just

:26:22. > :26:26.feel like they are nervous. They are forcing some of the stones, and they

:26:27. > :26:38.desperately need to just relax. Come on, Greg. Let's not panic. We

:26:39. > :26:44.panicked earlier, and... If you are getting beat by excellent

:26:45. > :26:48.shots from the opposition, whatever sport you are in, you don't want to

:26:49. > :26:57.give it to them on a plate by playing draw shots. I can see Dave

:26:58. > :27:04.pacing up and down the back there. He is checking the angles. Limit the

:27:05. > :27:12.damage. If he can keep them down to two, but there are still four

:27:13. > :27:18.Canadian stones to go and three British stones, let's not forget.

:27:19. > :27:24.But it has not been a good start, we have to say that. There is nothing

:27:25. > :27:26.else you can really say. You cannot disguise the fact that we have

:27:27. > :27:45.played some poor shots. All Jacobs has to be wary of here is

:27:46. > :27:49.just giving Dave Murdoch too much of a target, setting the stones up with

:27:50. > :28:00.the right angles. That might be tempting.

:28:01. > :28:10.Dave has the call here. He is looking at those Canadian stones. He

:28:11. > :28:13.is fancying that one on the outside, just asking Greg Drummond

:28:14. > :28:19.how much he can see of it. He says three quarters. So, expect to see

:28:20. > :28:28.some of those red stones scattering here. See how this comes out. He is

:28:29. > :28:34.looking to hit that stone just beside Dave's broom. Don't want to

:28:35. > :28:47.hit the first one. And they did. It is not too bad. It

:28:48. > :28:51.is a better situation than they were facing, but even then, they just

:28:52. > :29:01.caught the front Canadian stone on the way in. That is why he's

:29:02. > :29:09.frustrated. Watch this. Just caught it. Yes, but we have got a great

:29:10. > :29:13.result out of that. It was looking like a dangerous end, but we have

:29:14. > :29:16.moved three red stones out of the house there.

:29:17. > :29:31.We are hanging on here. We could do with a couple of shots

:29:32. > :29:35.from the Canadians that just give Dave Murdoch the chance to limit

:29:36. > :29:41.them to two, but even that would be a 4-1 lead. He will be hoping to

:29:42. > :30:18.take this right back just behind the tea level, level with the other

:30:19. > :30:34.stones tea level, level with the other

:30:35. > :30:49.roll. To move closer to the eight foot.

:30:50. > :30:58.roll. To move closer to the eight with his last stone. He needed

:30:59. > :31:33.roll. To move closer to the eight going to be straightforward for

:31:34. > :32:06.roll. To move closer to the eight his shot ear -- here. Looking pretty

:32:07. > :32:10.straight on. Yes. Can we play this? Pointing out that if he goes for the

:32:11. > :32:22.double there is a good chance that the Canadian stone will jam against

:32:23. > :32:39.the yellow. I am worried we go for this and we lock it. I think you are

:32:40. > :32:49.close to locking that. He certainly has been up against it in the last

:32:50. > :32:55.three ends. He has to move two Canadian stones, DN and make sure

:32:56. > :33:04.that the first stone he heads does not jam against the yellow. The

:33:05. > :33:16.other option is to come in on the other one. He has decided the double

:33:17. > :33:27.is too difficult as he thinks it will jam on the back yellow so he

:33:28. > :33:40.has decided to go for an in-turn hit. It means Canada may have a draw

:33:41. > :33:53.for two because he is not going to get the shot out of this. They have

:33:54. > :34:10.to work that hard. He has a shot for three. Despite the sweeping, they

:34:11. > :34:21.could not get past their won own stone. This could not be going any

:34:22. > :34:26.worse for Great Britain. They have not been able to apply any pressure

:34:27. > :34:43.to Canada and have given them straightforward shots to make.

:34:44. > :34:51.We have been hanging on and asking Dave Murdoch to make the big shots

:34:52. > :34:56.and we said he could not keep doing that and even after three ends he

:34:57. > :35:05.has been trying to rescue his team, but they find themselves in a dire

:35:06. > :35:13.situation. Something dramatic needs to happen if we are to have any

:35:14. > :35:20.chance. All you can do is take the hammer to the next and hope you get

:35:21. > :35:29.your two, but it means that Canada will be in control. Somehow Britain

:35:30. > :35:36.have to create some sort of pressure. The first thing we have to

:35:37. > :35:40.do is to settle down. Dave Murdoch has been doing his best but he needs

:35:41. > :35:51.backed up I his team and they have to find two shots in the next end.

:35:52. > :36:01.They have to settle down. Take the pressure off your backs and play the

:36:02. > :36:04.shot you are asked. I have been in the situation many times when you

:36:05. > :36:11.are desperately trying hard to play the best shot you can but nothing

:36:12. > :36:19.works for you. Pick up a simple two, that is what we said, take your

:36:20. > :36:26.time, take a two and I am sure they will get a lot from the fifth end

:36:27. > :36:31.break from their coach and from Tom Brewster. We have seen it many times

:36:32. > :36:38.you can come out the second half and be completely different. I hate to

:36:39. > :36:45.say it, the Canadians look strong, they have not made many errors. They

:36:46. > :36:54.look more confident than they have done all week. If Canada lose this

:36:55. > :37:00.from this point, they might as well not get on the aeroplane and go

:37:01. > :37:08.warm, because in Canada they will be thinking this is over. They have to

:37:09. > :37:16.find a way to turn this around and let us not forget the Round Robin,

:37:17. > :37:24.was it Denmark? I think we were down 5-1 after three or four ends, but

:37:25. > :37:32.they did come back and win that. Yes. What we cannot afford to do is

:37:33. > :37:41.let these guys get their tails in the air, and that is what has

:37:42. > :37:49.happened at the minute. I think we both decided that there is, if you

:37:50. > :37:57.can get pressure on Brad Jacobs, it earlier in the competition when it

:37:58. > :38:03.seemed that this he had underestimated -- it seemed as if he

:38:04. > :38:08.had underestimated the Olympic Games and they lost more matches than they

:38:09. > :38:14.had intended to, although it was only a couple in the end. Probably

:38:15. > :38:23.fortunate to get a win against China. If you want to put any

:38:24. > :38:32.pressure on them, they are well capable of completely controlling

:38:33. > :38:38.this match. That is better. I might have been tempted to put up another

:38:39. > :38:48.guard. They are just going to thrash absolutely everything at our yellow

:38:49. > :38:58.stone 's. I am not the best one to judge on the men's tactics, but you

:38:59. > :39:03.have to try to create the end. The Denmark game, we were five - one

:39:04. > :39:19.down after five ends and came back to win 7-6. It can be done. Come on,

:39:20. > :39:22.Scott. It is the Olympic final, you need to start playing your best

:39:23. > :39:50.shots that you possibly can. That is a nice attempt. Slowly and

:39:51. > :39:58.surely put the pressure on the Canadians, that is what we have to

:39:59. > :40:03.do. Brad Jacobs asking his team to take off that guard the cause that

:40:04. > :40:12.is the one that will be of danger to them. Shoot forward peel --

:40:13. > :40:37.straightforward. Trying to replace that corner guard

:40:38. > :40:48.once again. The guys having to work this hard, trying to pull it as much

:40:49. > :40:59.as they can. That is a little better. Scott is struggling. You can

:41:00. > :41:04.understand it, first Olympic final, it has been a roller-coaster ride to

:41:05. > :41:08.get here, you know you already have a medal, and that is a huge

:41:09. > :41:25.achievement in itself, and you are up against this Canadian team.

:41:26. > :41:36.Brad Jacobs said to begin with when Ryan Fry came in the team... Almost

:41:37. > :41:43.missed it... He said that he struggled with the chemistry, but he

:41:44. > :41:49.said that Christmas 2012 they started to get to know each other

:41:50. > :41:57.better. It has all been very good for them since then. At the worlds

:41:58. > :42:07.last year they were beaten in the semifinal. They came through the

:42:08. > :42:15.very difficult Canadian trials, Canadian Olympic trials, in

:42:16. > :42:19.December. They came through those Olympic trials and defeated. That

:42:20. > :42:34.was one of the questions we asked, if that would be an additional

:42:35. > :42:51.pressure -- undefeated. They said no.

:42:52. > :43:09.They will be hoping to hit and roll, just rolled a little bit too for.

:43:10. > :43:15.Dave Murdoch will try to roll back to the other side. Just need to

:43:16. > :43:43.assure ourselves we get it right. That is a good shot. Really

:43:44. > :43:58.important we hit the right. You must keep your shooter in the house.

:43:59. > :44:11.They have to try to talk positively. Greg Drummond asking, I am not sure,

:44:12. > :44:17.are we calling it right? You have to look for the positives, get the two,

:44:18. > :44:29.close the gap. Of course Canada have put themselves in a brilliant

:44:30. > :44:45.position. Must get the two. Do not give him a chance to take both of

:44:46. > :44:51.your stones out. Brad Jacobs was happy to take the hit and roll macro

:44:52. > :44:58.there. Look at the difference in the statistics, 93 to 71. They are

:44:59. > :45:06.probably thinking, take your two, we don't mind. If we have a couple of

:45:07. > :45:11.ends where we do have a hammer and we only get one, that will still be

:45:12. > :45:16.OK. But that might be the sort of attitude that will help us, if they

:45:17. > :45:19.relax a little. We just need this one to sit in the house. We need it

:45:20. > :45:34.to stop. ! Stop! I'm not sure what else can go wrong

:45:35. > :45:50.here. I know you are trying to talk

:45:51. > :45:56.positive, Jackie, and I'm with you. But you cannot do that. You cannot

:45:57. > :45:58.do that. This is just not happening for the boys at the moment. It

:45:59. > :46:11.really isn't. The wheels are just coming off the

:46:12. > :46:20.wagon. They are just handing it on a plate at the moment. They had a

:46:21. > :46:25.rocky road in the round robin, let's be frank about that. They won some

:46:26. > :46:31.games that were really well played, and got given a couple of games to

:46:32. > :46:36.them where the opposition played bad shots. They played out of their

:46:37. > :46:45.skins in the semifinal... Hang on a minute. Hang on a minute. Hold on. I

:46:46. > :46:51.just thought maybe it was going to crash on that guard. And that's

:46:52. > :47:00.weeping, they are shattered. Is there enough for Dave Murdoch to be

:47:01. > :47:06.able to see it and get his to? Now I know why their T-shirts are so

:47:07. > :47:14.tight! I think they should have got a bigger size. But I think that is

:47:15. > :47:18.what they are there for. As I said, they had a rocky road to get it, but

:47:19. > :47:23.let's take nothing away from these boys. They have when the press has

:47:24. > :47:28.been against them tried to play their very very best. We have seen

:47:29. > :47:33.Greg Drummond play out of his skin most of this week.

:47:34. > :47:45.Well, this has got to be right. He must get the two here. He is just

:47:46. > :47:51.looking to get an edge on that. It is starting to turn. It has got to

:47:52. > :48:02.really work here, turn quick enough to be able to catch that Canadian

:48:03. > :48:24.stone. Stop there! Stop there! Has he even got one? I think it is a

:48:25. > :48:32.read. -- red stone. It is so weight -dependent. Do you think they have

:48:33. > :48:39.got a one-man? I think we have got the one. Perhaps I am being

:48:40. > :48:43.optimistic. I am trying to be optimistic.

:48:44. > :49:07.But even a one is only a partial success. You can see that gauge, you

:49:08. > :49:16.will see the needle move, it is Canada! He has asked him to measure

:49:17. > :49:25.it again. We have been all week only is. It is very difficult. It is

:49:26. > :49:37.difficult from this camera angle to judge where it is. He has changed

:49:38. > :49:39.the needle. The go-ahead. Move your head! We can't see. It is in the

:49:40. > :50:03.way. One read. -- one red. That is just tightening Canada's

:50:04. > :50:07.grip on this match. This is really sad for the boys, and it is really

:50:08. > :50:20.painful to be up here commentating on it. Keep going. It really is an

:50:21. > :50:25.uphill struggle now. What you have to do in these situations is just

:50:26. > :50:27.get out there and play your two stones. Through them to the best of

:50:28. > :50:45.your ability. Two shots from David Murdoch, and

:50:46. > :50:47.they were hard. But that wasn't as good as we know he can do, he knows

:50:48. > :51:02.he can do. He knows it. Well, it is Friday afternoon at

:51:03. > :51:08.home. Just hang in there for a bit. You never know. Some mistakes along

:51:09. > :51:16.the line, we could pick up a three. It has happened. That was very

:51:17. > :51:25.light. He needed to be top for there. -- top four there. Again,

:51:26. > :51:33.just a little error from the opposition. The problem is, Jackie,

:51:34. > :51:39.they have made the odd small error, but ours have been huge. All we have

:51:40. > :51:41.certainly been made to pay for them, and we haven't capitalised on

:51:42. > :52:01.any that the Canadians have made. I hear the boys saying it is fast. I

:52:02. > :52:09.haven't heard them shouting any times supply can find out what time

:52:10. > :52:21.it is. -- so that I can find out what time it is.

:52:22. > :52:38.The Canadians certainly aren't playing them heavy.

:52:39. > :52:49.It is hard. You can see the demeanour of the team, shoulders or

:52:50. > :52:57.slumped a bit. You can even hear it in the crowd, actually. You can't

:52:58. > :53:01.hear anything in the crowd! Without getting too depressed about

:53:02. > :53:10.this, stranger things have happened. And the great thing about curling is

:53:11. > :53:16.that it is literally one bad shot can change things around completely.

:53:17. > :53:21.It is a hope that you can hang onto. It is not particularly a nice thing

:53:22. > :53:26.to do, to hope for your opposition to make a mistake, but it does

:53:27. > :53:30.happen. If you were with us early on in the bronze medal match, China

:53:31. > :53:35.were on top for most of the match with Sweden. And then on two

:53:36. > :53:42.occasions in the ninth end and the extra end, there were violations. If

:53:43. > :53:50.you don't let go of the stone before that red line, it is banned. We had

:53:51. > :53:58.a couple there which I have not even seen all week.

:53:59. > :54:08.The British support, and the Canadians as well. Including the

:54:09. > :54:13.Canadian and British women's teams. They are here to support their

:54:14. > :54:24.team-mates. All you can really do is hope for some horrendous mistake

:54:25. > :54:31.that lets you win. -- lets you in. And the other option that wouldn't

:54:32. > :54:39.be nice is if Canada jump out and get another three or four shots,

:54:40. > :54:40.giving us an early end to this final. Let's hope that doesn't

:54:41. > :54:51.happen. And of course because of the way

:54:52. > :54:59.this is, Jackie, Canada don't have to do anything. No, they just have

:55:00. > :55:04.to start throwing some heavy granite down here and ripping everything

:55:05. > :55:09.off. They are running for home. They don't have to do anything difficult.

:55:10. > :55:14.And they are not going to follow us into a drawing game, because they

:55:15. > :55:23.are way too experienced for that kind of thing. You give these guys

:55:24. > :55:29.two or three shots ahead of you, and it is difficult, never mind five.

:55:30. > :55:54.I like the hack. Try to roll it right behind. That is behind the T.

:55:55. > :55:55.We want to stay in the open. I think the Canadians need to avoid trying

:55:56. > :56:28.to be too clever. Dave Murdoch just asking Greg

:56:29. > :56:32.Drummond to come down and hit that stone and roll back across to wear

:56:33. > :56:36.the yellow was a couple of moments ago.

:56:37. > :56:44.All they can do is keep trying, keep putting the stones in the right

:56:45. > :56:50.place, hopefully some error. It just gives them a glimmer of hope. It

:56:51. > :56:53.least gets them on the scoreboard in a better scenario than they have at

:56:54. > :57:02.the moment. That is not bad for Greg. And again, Greg Drummond has

:57:03. > :57:09.been pretty solid. I can remember one not so good shot from him in

:57:10. > :57:10.this final so far. Scott has struggled, and Dave Murdoch has had

:57:11. > :57:30.some difficult shots to try to make. Have they got this past the guard?

:57:31. > :57:39.Yes, they have. That is a good shot, some nice sweeping once more.

:57:40. > :57:45.I'm not sure that they need to try to play this game, they take the

:57:46. > :57:50.guard off, we keep replacing it. If they have some stones in the house,

:57:51. > :57:54.it does give as a slight opportunity.

:57:55. > :58:03.We will hang on to anything at the moment. If we can just get a little

:58:04. > :58:21.bit of a roll here. Unlucky. And of course that means

:58:22. > :58:42.they can use this and roll in behind the two stones.

:58:43. > :58:50.An odd atmosphere now in the Ice Cube Center. A lot of Canadian

:58:51. > :58:56.supporters, a lot of British, of course. They had been expecting a

:58:57. > :59:04.humdinger of a final, but it has been one-way traffic until now.

:59:05. > :59:10.Whichever team is going to win this gold, they want to win it however

:59:11. > :59:15.they possibly can. The two semifinals for me has been

:59:16. > :59:21.humdingers, as you say. We had some really fantastic shooting, lots of

:59:22. > :59:29.great calling and great play. There have been too many errors in this

:59:30. > :59:54.game. Not really from the Canadians, though.

:59:55. > :00:09.I don't think you're losing. You can't lose both of them and sitting.

:00:10. > :00:20.Dave wanting to come in and stop top button, but you heard him say it is

:00:21. > :00:27.going to be very tight at the top yellow without it taking too much of

:00:28. > :00:44.a pull. Yes, he needs to miss the yellow stone by the smallest of

:00:45. > :00:54.margins and hope that it curls in. This is another difficult shot for

:00:55. > :01:07.Dave Murdoch. He needs to slide by by the smallest of margins. It has

:01:08. > :01:21.to sit as well. A little too far. So close. A very difficult shot. He is

:01:22. > :01:23.doing his best. Right from the very beginning, he has been up against

:01:24. > :01:51.it. They are checking what Murdoch would

:01:52. > :02:01.have next. They are getting cocky. Make him play this again. It should

:02:02. > :02:21.really make no difference to them running for home. I like the guard.

:02:22. > :02:33.Surely you would regard this. They just have to play reasonably

:02:34. > :02:39.conservatively. I do not think so. I thought they might block the hall we

:02:40. > :02:49.have just come through. Dave was unlucky but he was not far away. He

:02:50. > :02:55.desperately needs the two. They would be happy to give him the one,

:02:56. > :03:02.they just do not want to give him the opportunity of getting a two.

:03:03. > :03:17.There is no opportunity they were they are sitting at the moment --

:03:18. > :03:32.the way they are sitting. If he gets an age -- edge off, but it is such a

:03:33. > :03:48.difficult shot. I was not sure if we get onto the

:03:49. > :04:08.nose, and also if we come far enough back we might get a shot out of it.

:04:09. > :04:12.The best he is going to get is one. You heard him saying, you almost

:04:13. > :04:19.have to keep it out there are high and wait for the break to come and

:04:20. > :04:36.then sweep. This has taken a big break. They have done well. This

:04:37. > :04:50.should be good enough for one. He will be happy to give up that one.

:04:51. > :04:55.The first five ends of this match Britain would want to forget. It is

:04:56. > :05:02.not over, but it could not really have been any worse. When we

:05:03. > :05:05.resume, there is the chance of more damage as Canada have the hammer in

:05:06. > :05:27.the sixth. What is your analysis? It is

:05:28. > :05:32.difficult. Dave played a fantastic shot only to give up a two in the

:05:33. > :05:36.first end full up they have had their backs against the wall and now

:05:37. > :05:43.they have nothing to lose. Soren Gran is the coach. Does he have the

:05:44. > :05:52.hairdryer treatment that Alex Ferguson had? How will he left them?

:05:53. > :05:58.It is hard to know what he does to motivate the boys. They are not

:05:59. > :06:08.going to be failing the best. -- feeling. Such a margin is hard to

:06:09. > :06:17.take to the Canadians. Try to get a steal, try to force Canada and get

:06:18. > :06:23.your two back. It is a lot to ask because they are a fantastic hitting

:06:24. > :06:39.team, but it is not over, let's have seized. -- faith. The first end

:06:40. > :06:49.darted difficult. It was. The gradients went right for it the

:06:50. > :06:57.first end and leave -- Dave could have lost more there. He needs his

:06:58. > :07:06.team just it up. They have struggled. There have been too many

:07:07. > :07:15.half shots. They have been out on the ice almost two weeks. It is

:07:16. > :07:21.almost like the Olympic final they have frozen under the pressure.

:07:22. > :07:30.Yes. It was always going to be tough. For the guys it is their

:07:31. > :07:39.first Olympics and for Dave it is his first play-off. It is not over.

:07:40. > :07:46.They still have a chance. They are guaranteed the silver medal. That is

:07:47. > :07:53.fantastic. They are going to give it everything but they have to step up

:07:54. > :08:13.their performance. The third and they to three. -- third end they

:08:14. > :08:20.took three. They under sweat that, when they could have played a head

:08:21. > :08:32.and roll. They were never going to miss that. Let's have faith. Hot on

:08:33. > :08:35.the heels was the steal in N four. We would have hoped we could have

:08:36. > :08:48.got some back and we ended up losing one. They had a chance to split the

:08:49. > :08:54.house. Greg was a little bit heavy and he will be devastated with

:08:55. > :09:05.that. That is a big mess. You cannot afford to do that at this level. He

:09:06. > :09:12.needs to tap on a couple of inches -- tap the stone. We can look at the

:09:13. > :09:34.statistics. Pretty high numbers. Ryan Fry is

:09:35. > :09:39.usually higher than that. His strength is hitting and that is what

:09:40. > :09:50.they are going to be doing from now on. Scott Andrews, 63%, that is not

:09:51. > :10:06.going to win you games at this level I am afraid. Fingers crossed for the

:10:07. > :10:11.boys. We need something of Olympian

:10:12. > :10:20.proportions, we need to find something extra special that most

:10:21. > :10:34.people in this arena would consider impossible. Tough. We have come out

:10:35. > :10:42.onto the sixth end and Canada have the hammer so if they get another

:10:43. > :10:47.advantage, even one shot above us, it would be great if we can keep

:10:48. > :10:52.them to the one. I am sure Soren Gran will have told the boys to

:10:53. > :10:54.relax and enjoy the rest of the game and often when your shoulders are

:10:55. > :11:11.not as tense you will start to play better. That is what I was looking

:11:12. > :11:22.at listening to leave. -- Eve. 7-4 after seven ends, they have to be at

:11:23. > :11:28.least at that point. If not, we will be in a scenario... I think most

:11:29. > :11:39.beagle would expect that any day and stood close this out -- most people

:11:40. > :11:51.would expect the Canadians to run this home. Sometimes you do not get

:11:52. > :11:57.the run of the stones. I am not saying Canada have had luck, they

:11:58. > :12:03.have played exactly how they would have wanted to and how we have

:12:04. > :12:09.allowed them to, but when they have played a slightly poor shot it has

:12:10. > :12:25.not affected them, whereas ours have. Keep the faith. Hang on to

:12:26. > :12:33.your brush. You never know. It would be one of the great comebacks if

:12:34. > :12:52.this were to happen. Scott Andrew is asking for an out-turn tap. We are

:12:53. > :13:04.not past. I am going to gasp. We have to be making these shots. So

:13:05. > :13:14.difficult to watch. Dave knows they have to be making their shots. Poor

:13:15. > :13:26.Scott has had a turbulent time-out there -- turbulent time. They had to

:13:27. > :13:40.work so hard to get one passed in the previous end. This Olympic final

:13:41. > :13:46.is not one in which Britain as a team, and Scott in particular, have

:13:47. > :13:59.managed to rise to the occasion, but there is time. This is my point.

:14:00. > :14:03.They play shots that are not perfect and we are not able to take

:14:04. > :14:15.advantage, or have not been able to so far. If you shave the top guard

:14:16. > :14:29.on the in-turn, you might be right behind him. What weight? Scott was

:14:30. > :14:39.looking to come down the in-turn, it does finish, but the line is not

:14:40. > :14:45.there because it is a high guard, so they are forced to come down the

:14:46. > :14:52.out-turn and there is no backing on the right-hand side. These guys are

:14:53. > :15:04.going to blast everything they can see. They are. And by catching that

:15:05. > :15:09.stone, makes their job a little easier. By taking the corner, that's

:15:10. > :15:15.the one that's going to be a danger to him. Running out of options, you

:15:16. > :15:21.can see. You can see it in his face. He's trying hard, but there's a hint

:15:22. > :15:29.of resignation on his face. And there you go, two of them. Clearing

:15:30. > :15:40.the centre. I was hoping a victory dance would

:15:41. > :16:03.have been enough for both teams. This match is for gold and silver

:16:04. > :16:18.and the silver medal, if things stay the way they are, is achievable.

:16:19. > :16:31.Probably not going to remove that. Probably going to take the back one.

:16:32. > :16:46.A little mistake somewhere... Doesn't look like one of them.

:16:47. > :17:02.They just want to sit right down on the face of the red on the one foot.

:17:03. > :17:13.That's left to Greg Drummond. An intern draw. Oo clear line and no

:17:14. > :17:22.bump is what we are look looking for.

:17:23. > :17:29.Trying to hold it in there. This might be OK. They have lost that

:17:30. > :17:34.stone as well. Yes, they laid off it. They said as well, there's not

:17:35. > :17:38.been any call. The guys have to be giving indications of where they

:17:39. > :17:41.think it's going to go. And not far out though, it's got to curl and it

:17:42. > :17:45.was always going to do that because the way it was coming off it, it was

:17:46. > :17:58.always going to curl but needed to be kept on the line. Stale danger

:17:59. > :18:07.sitting there, but they can utilise it and push it back.

:18:08. > :18:13.I think Greg made that look OK and you have to be able to judge the

:18:14. > :18:14.weight and the line. Just feels like everything is going against us at

:18:15. > :18:29.the moment. Fry looking to disturb all of the

:18:30. > :18:37.stones probably. Certainly the top two British ones.

:18:38. > :19:58.Still Canada's shot now. Britain with the second. Canada with third.

:19:59. > :20:17.He's going to try with the second. Canada with third.

:20:18. > :20:26.He's going to try easy to remove both yellows. If

:20:27. > :20:26.Got to keep playing the shots with conviction. That's what's worrying

:20:27. > :20:38.me, there's conviction. That's what's worrying

:20:39. > :20:45.shots. Has he got it? No, Dave has been left with

:20:46. > :21:04.shots. Has he got it? No, Dave has shot is a hit and roll but the guys

:21:05. > :21:19.shots. Has he got it? No, Dave has Poor Dave's really up against it.

:21:20. > :21:37.up two here, and I don't just mean this

:21:38. > :21:37.up two here, and I don't just mean There may be a scenario where you

:21:38. > :21:44.could give up There may be a scenario where you

:21:45. > :21:51.trying they could still try for the There may be a scenario where you

:21:52. > :22:04.one here, try and take two out here, give up the one,

:22:05. > :22:04.one here, try and take two out here, Listen to me. Arm chair fan. I'm

:22:05. > :22:09.sure you Listen to me. Arm chair fan. I'm

:22:10. > :22:19.it's all about the strategy, how you Listen to me. Arm chair fan. I'm

:22:20. > :22:43.their bronze medal match today. Listen to me. Arm chair fan. I'm

:22:44. > :22:49.Big call for Dave Murdoch. He has of theed for an out-turn hit on that

:22:50. > :22:57.back reined behind. Is it the right call? -- behind. Could have been the

:22:58. > :23:01.double. Just try and force the one, then take two.

:23:02. > :23:14.Got to sit. And it doesn't. This is just an easy draw.

:23:15. > :23:19.I think he's trying too hard. Sometimes you have to go back to

:23:20. > :23:25.playing the basic, simple shot. Take the double there, he practices these

:23:26. > :23:32.all the time. Forced the one. Take a two in the next end. But just

:23:33. > :23:35.maybe... Well I think if you are making all of your shots, great,

:23:36. > :23:44.take on the difficult shots, but there for me, it was give up one,

:23:45. > :23:52.try to get the two, close the gap. Justice in some small way, but now

:23:53. > :23:57.this, it comes in and if it's right, which it should be, I expect it to

:23:58. > :24:03.be. Yes, even trying to hit the little one behind. They are going to

:24:04. > :24:14.thrash that. That's another two and a big, big

:24:15. > :24:18.gap now There is a huge mountain to climb.

:24:19. > :24:22.A huge mountain to climb. Dive off the top of it, get to the bottom of

:24:23. > :24:28.the ocean, grab a raft and drag it back to the surface! Not a lot of

:24:29. > :24:33.chance of anything like that happening. 8-2 after six ends.

:24:34. > :24:37.They'll keep playing, I'm sure they will. Just not sure that was the

:24:38. > :24:43.right strategy there, but Dave Murdoch's the man down there, he's

:24:44. > :24:48.the skip, he's in charge. He backed himself to make that shot. He knew

:24:49. > :24:53.though if it didn't come off, again he's be giving them a

:24:54. > :24:58.straightforward chance of a two. Could have limited the damage to

:24:59. > :25:09.one. Of course, he may be thinking, I want to try and maybe steal. Not

:25:10. > :25:14.always easy - well it's always easy to sit here and make decisions -

:25:15. > :25:20.when you are down here and your head gets frazzled by everything that's

:25:21. > :25:30.going on, it's not easy to think straight. No. These guys are playing

:25:31. > :25:38.for a gold or silver. They are in the final. It's the Olympics. It's

:25:39. > :25:40.just such a shame that they haven't brought a better game here today to

:25:41. > :26:11.play. We do have the hammer. It's critical

:26:12. > :26:16.that we score a two here or more if that's possible. I think we have

:26:17. > :26:23.been saying that since the second end, unfortunately. Not wanting to

:26:24. > :26:27.sound despondent and I can tell you that, as a life long fan of at times

:26:28. > :26:32.a mediocre football team, I've sat in many a match thinking, we can

:26:33. > :26:35.score four in the last few muches, but can't remember when it last

:26:36. > :26:43.happened mind you, but you can still believe.

:26:44. > :26:47.-- matches. I know everybody back home who's gathered up to watch this

:26:48. > :26:49.in many of the ice rinks will be feeling the pain these young boys

:26:50. > :26:59.are feeling at the moment. Lots of British team members have

:27:00. > :27:05.come in to watch the curling team and Lord Coe, Sir Steve Redgrave,

:27:06. > :27:11.everybody piling in and hoping that they could do it. There always has

:27:12. > :27:16.to be a winner and a loser and it's never an easy game to lose.

:27:17. > :27:28.Plenty of the Canadian team members as well also. They'll be enjoying

:27:29. > :27:35.this. I don't know if anybody really enjoys having a match where it

:27:36. > :27:39.becomes so easy of course you don't want to be stressing in the final

:27:40. > :27:43.end on the last stone to win the gold, but I'm sure everybody would

:27:44. > :27:47.have enjoyed a much better final. We might get one yet, but something

:27:48. > :27:53.drastic needs to happen here. And Canada just do not have to do

:27:54. > :28:13.anything. It's the first Olympics for Brad

:28:14. > :28:17.Jacobs and his team and I think it did take them a few matches to get

:28:18. > :28:22.the grips with this Olympic tournament. Understand this is

:28:23. > :28:32.different and despite all the successes at home, and the silver

:28:33. > :28:37.medal, it was going to be a learning process for themselves. They did

:28:38. > :28:42.learn very, very quickly. They soon started producing their A games.

:28:43. > :28:48.Tough matches in the round robin. They didn't steam roller everybody.

:28:49. > :28:59.The semi-final match against China was a fairly comfortable affair in

:29:00. > :29:04.the end. They probably cannot believe the situation that they've

:29:05. > :29:16.got themselves into, but also that Britain have helped with some shots

:29:17. > :29:27.which, let's just say, will be disappointed with.

:29:28. > :29:32.Jennifer Jones, of course, already won the gold for Canada for the

:29:33. > :29:36.women. That was a very popular win and I think everybody even in the

:29:37. > :29:41.women's tournament accepting that Canada, or the Canadian women were

:29:42. > :29:44.better. Jennifer Jones towards the end of her career, the men here may

:29:45. > :29:49.well have another one or two Olympic campaigns in them, who knows. Of

:29:50. > :29:54.course, you cannot by rights come back and defend your title. Canada,

:29:55. > :29:59.of course, can, but it could well be a completely different team if they,

:30:00. > :30:11.in four years' time, don't get through their trials.

:30:12. > :30:21.They have to play a trials, they have a lot of strong teams,

:30:22. > :30:22.everybody find -- vying for the place to represent their country at

:30:23. > :30:40.the Olympics. What Canada will do is keep peeling

:30:41. > :30:45.the guards away, they will keep the house nice and clear, they will not

:30:46. > :30:52.allow David Murdoch any opportunities. They will not mind if

:30:53. > :30:57.he picks up one or two, but at this stage, Canada should have the hammer

:30:58. > :31:05.in the eighth end and, crucially, in the 10th end.

:31:06. > :31:13.I do not know how much longer they will want to endure this. The

:31:14. > :31:17.Canadians running for home. They are such a good hitting team, Eve

:31:18. > :31:27.Muirhead said that. They like the hitting game. Peeling out shots is

:31:28. > :31:35.easy for them. That is a nice attempt, it pulled up at the end.

:31:36. > :31:44.Standing behind, Brad Jacobs, in the shadow of the Canadian skip, David

:31:45. > :31:51.Murdoch, in his third attempt the games. He will reflect, I am sure,

:31:52. > :31:56.on a well-deserved silver medal, but he will not have enjoyed this

:31:57. > :32:02.experience. That is for sure. Coming back to the theme of future

:32:03. > :32:10.Olympics, I suppose there is still an option for him to come back, his

:32:11. > :32:14.team are certainly don't enough. It is just a question of whether he

:32:15. > :32:25.still has the fire to return, four years from now. It may take six

:32:26. > :32:30.months or a year for him to decide. It is a huge commitment, to make

:32:31. > :32:35.your decisions early. Some time off, to reflect what is in front of you.

:32:36. > :32:44.The commitment for another Olympics...

:32:45. > :32:52.It is such a long, drawn-out affair, you have to be 100% committed to it.

:32:53. > :32:59.Age is not a big issue in the world of sport, or in the world of

:33:00. > :33:03.curling. But it is getting younger and younger all the time, people are

:33:04. > :33:10.becoming full-time athletes, giving up their jobs, their careers. They

:33:11. > :33:20.are chasing the dream of an Olympic gold-medal. And to be the best they

:33:21. > :33:27.can be. I am not sure we have seen the best of Canada tonight, because

:33:28. > :33:29.we have not really pushed them into that situation, they have been able

:33:30. > :33:37.to play a fairly straightforward game, they knew it would always be a

:33:38. > :33:40.problem, and even if they had been just two or three shots ahead, it

:33:41. > :33:48.would have been incredibly difficult, even if Britain pick up

:33:49. > :33:53.to here, they do not have to do anything difficult, just do not make

:33:54. > :34:00.any mistakes, and they are clear through. They would have craved the

:34:01. > :34:07.gold medal, and their country expects. It is the men for whom

:34:08. > :34:26.silver and bronze would not have been acceptable.

:34:27. > :34:31.They have held that well, I thought it would catch the line. I am

:34:32. > :34:49.sitting right behind it. Talking about the medals, at the

:34:50. > :34:56.Winter Olympics, we have a middle-class, and every evening,

:34:57. > :35:04.down here, the medals from on the slopes and down here are presented.

:35:05. > :35:11.All of the curling adults will be presented tomorrow night, the men

:35:12. > :35:15.and women. We will have a ceremony of sorts, the flower ceremony, after

:35:16. > :35:21.the culmination of this match, when all three teams are presented with a

:35:22. > :35:24.lovely posy of flowers, and it gives the curling crowd a chance to cheer

:35:25. > :35:34.the medallists. But they will get the actual medals... In the 24

:35:35. > :35:38.hours, if this does end in the disappointment we are expecting for

:35:39. > :35:45.Great Britain, they can reflect on what has still been, or will be, and

:35:46. > :35:51.exceptional silver medal, they were not many people's tips to get into

:35:52. > :36:26.the final, even. The women were tipped as gold medallists,

:36:27. > :36:33.in for two points, he would do that 99 times out of 100 on any other

:36:34. > :36:42.occasion. It slides out of the house, he only gets the one.

:36:43. > :36:50.It may well be that there is no handshake at the moment, but with

:36:51. > :36:59.Canada having the hammer, you may have heard David Murdoch say, one

:37:00. > :37:04.more end. It is almost becoming embarrassing, and I do not mean that

:37:05. > :37:10.in a derogatory sense. If the other team have been that good, you hand

:37:11. > :37:15.it to them. But they have been making so many mistakes, and that

:37:16. > :37:22.one from David is not characteristic at all, he is a great player, one of

:37:23. > :37:31.the best in the world. That is the situation they find themselves in.

:37:32. > :37:43.He will not want to put these young guys through any more than they have

:37:44. > :37:47.to. Yes, it is difficult, David feels like he is laying his shots

:37:48. > :37:53.well, but it is just not happening today. As painful as this is for all

:37:54. > :38:00.of them down there, they have to play eight ends in the final of the

:38:01. > :38:05.Olympic Games. Quite often, we can see games finishing early, and they

:38:06. > :38:12.will come off if they feel that they cannot win the game, but they must

:38:13. > :38:18.play eight ends. If this has ended up in a disappointment, as I'm sure

:38:19. > :38:24.it has, imagine what the guys are going through. It has still been a

:38:25. > :38:28.great journey, so many people have enjoyed the curling, and we will end

:38:29. > :38:36.up with two medals for Great Britain, a massive achievement. It

:38:37. > :38:44.is a sport which has so many twists and turns. We have had great

:38:45. > :38:50.support, I believe, back home, and all over the nation, for this

:38:51. > :38:55.wonderful sport of curling. Unfortunately, this is what sport is

:38:56. > :39:02.all about, when it is going good, it is fantastic, you are riding the

:39:03. > :39:08.crest of a wave, but there are always times when it just does not

:39:09. > :39:14.happen for you. That is today. That is a nice shot from Michael

:39:15. > :39:20.Goodfellow, he is shooting 92% today, he has played so well. I have

:39:21. > :39:24.said it before, it is really important, the lead position, but he

:39:25. > :39:31.does have three others following after him. If he sets the ends up

:39:32. > :39:35.and it is not followed, it is very difficult to deal with. But it is a

:39:36. > :39:49.team sport, that is why they play it. One for all and all for one. To

:39:50. > :39:53.come back to the point of enjoyment that so many people have had from

:39:54. > :39:59.the curling, so many youngsters might be thinking about having a go,

:40:00. > :40:04.and Jackie Lockhart has talked about the opportunities that are out

:40:05. > :40:08.there. Curling only gets this coverage every four years, so it

:40:09. > :40:12.would be nice if a cue more people wanted to take it up, because this

:40:13. > :40:17.could be you one day, representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games,

:40:18. > :40:27.the World Championships every year, the European Championships, and it

:40:28. > :40:32.is a sport which is facility dependent, to some extent, and there

:40:33. > :40:35.are not so many facilities in England, plenty in Scotland, maybe

:40:36. > :40:42.we will see more in the coming years of. Yes, let's hope we have some

:40:43. > :40:49.more in England, Wales and Ireland. We have 22 in Scotland. With the

:40:50. > :40:58.interest that we draw every four years, at the Olympics, we just have

:40:59. > :41:02.to continue that through. Our curling website has been very well

:41:03. > :41:08.looked at, people have been on the website. All of the dates are almost

:41:09. > :41:12.fully booked, I would not be surprised if some of the ice rinks

:41:13. > :41:20.are opening on other dates and times. Do not let this put you off,

:41:21. > :41:28.this has just been a difficult game for our boys, but we have seen some

:41:29. > :41:33.wonderful curling this whole week. Our friends dressed as Elvis have

:41:34. > :41:39.come into the building, a bit late. They might agree, this British team

:41:40. > :41:48.have been all Shook up. That is my last one! Your jokes are so bad! I

:41:49. > :41:56.thought Jonathan's was bad, frozen under the pressure. Let's talk about

:41:57. > :42:03.the Canadian team. We could be having a handshake at the end of

:42:04. > :42:13.this end. They have been called trash, arrogant at times. -- brash.

:42:14. > :42:19.But you could not argue about their progress on the ice. They might not

:42:20. > :42:26.be as popular as the women, but they have proved exciting. They have not

:42:27. > :42:30.been pushed here at all, but they came out with all guns firing.

:42:31. > :42:34.Britain did not match them in the early ends, they allowed them to

:42:35. > :42:44.dominate early, and therefore dictate matters. Brad Jacobs and his

:42:45. > :42:50.team, do not forget the two brothers, his cousins, Ryan Fry, who

:42:51. > :43:01.they have put in to create this team, it took awhile to get to grips

:43:02. > :43:05.with the concept the Olympic Games. We might see some fist pumping at

:43:06. > :43:09.the end, they will be full of jubilation, and so they should be,

:43:10. > :43:14.there is a lot of expectation for them back home. A silver or a bronze

:43:15. > :43:18.would have been seen as failure. That is a lot of pressure to live

:43:19. > :43:28.with and to deliver the gold medal again. They did not go through

:43:29. > :43:36.unbeaten, but they have got stronger as the competition has gone on. Greg

:43:37. > :43:40.Drummond has been excellent right throughout this, he can hold his

:43:41. > :43:46.head high. Even here in this final, but it has been so difficult for

:43:47. > :43:52.Britain. Michael Goodfellow has been 92%, Greg Drummond, 87%. Whenever he

:43:53. > :44:01.has been asked to deliver, most of the time he has done a fantastic job

:44:02. > :44:06.for his skip. He will have learned an awful lot from this, whether or

:44:07. > :44:13.not David Murdoch is back in future years, who knows, but Greg

:44:14. > :44:19.Drummond, Scott Andrews, Michael Goodfellow will have picked up so

:44:20. > :44:22.much experience. Good and bad. You can learn from defeats like this

:44:23. > :44:34.just as much as you can learn from great victories. The boys don't have

:44:35. > :44:39.the opportunity to go and head out to the World Championships this

:44:40. > :44:49.year, unfortunately. That contest was played just last week there, at

:44:50. > :44:57.home in Scotland. There'll be a lot to make decisions on. Whether the

:44:58. > :45:02.young lads match back up with Tom Brewster. I think everything there

:45:03. > :45:06.depend on selection for if they decide to go for another Olympic

:45:07. > :45:12.Games. That's all going to be down to the national coach. He'll have to

:45:13. > :45:17.make an offer for you to come and play I think for your country.

:45:18. > :45:22.Talking about the coach. They've called for time out and the coach

:45:23. > :45:29.will come down. Interesting to hear what he has to say. They are trying

:45:30. > :45:36.to make this end work, trying to keep thicks -- things going. Trying

:45:37. > :45:40.to get it to the last two ends. At some point they have to make a

:45:41. > :45:42.move on it. The minute they make a move on it, these guys are just

:45:43. > :46:06.going to blast them. Eus try and hear what Soren Gran has

:46:07. > :46:29.to say. ALL SPEAK AT ONCE

:46:30. > :46:34.I think that line is more important. Ment, exactly.

:46:35. > :46:36.Anybody who's listened to this and doesn't really understand the game,

:46:37. > :46:40.they've talked about the five and the two. All the stones are numbered

:46:41. > :46:44.one to eight, so they are talking about which stone they are speaking

:46:45. > :46:49.about, whether it will move. But they are wanting to corner freeze

:46:50. > :46:55.that top yellow. Just move them ever so slightly. And the yellow that we

:46:56. > :47:05.see, one foot could actually move to it freeze on top of the red.

:47:06. > :47:14.I don't think he's that concerned. No. But we have to keep trying.

:47:15. > :47:20.Sometimes little errors can creep in.

:47:21. > :47:26.The guys have swept this really well. Just looking to come and sit

:47:27. > :47:36.right on top of their own yellow. It's not going to be far away. A

:47:37. > :47:40.little tap. Not a bad shot at all. Just these shots would have been

:47:41. > :47:45.great to lead earlier on. They were missing, but not by much. Even if

:47:46. > :47:56.they'd kept Canada to just a two or three shot lead, it would go back to

:47:57. > :48:03.the third where they got that three at the half way point.

:48:04. > :48:08.Just watch catching the guard on the way through, remember. Just these

:48:09. > :48:13.little errors. Since then, there have been one or two serious ones.

:48:14. > :48:15.Even that last end where Dave Murdoch failed to hit and just sit

:48:16. > :48:26.for his two. Depending on how themmings fall

:48:27. > :48:33.here, we may be coming to the last couple of stones -- things fall

:48:34. > :48:37.here. Or if Britain were to somehow pick up a couple, who knows, might

:48:38. > :48:53.just carry on. Look at that! What do you know! What

:48:54. > :48:58.do you know? ! When you're good, you're very good, when you're hot,

:48:59. > :49:05.you're very hot. When it's not your day, you can only hang your head and

:49:06. > :49:11.accept your fate. He wasn't far away from moving all of these yellows.

:49:12. > :49:13.But that's all he wanted to do was move them. He does after all have

:49:14. > :49:30.the hammer here. Got 'em all. I think we are blowing

:49:31. > :49:39.on the embers of a fire that's sadly died out here for David Murdoch and

:49:40. > :49:44.his team. It's been a great campaign during these Olympic Games and,

:49:45. > :49:50.while they fought hard in this final to try and resurrect something to

:49:51. > :50:11.get something going, it's been an uphill struggle.

:50:12. > :50:17.Quite happy to have a huge gap in the scoreline there. They are happy

:50:18. > :50:21.just to take the one. Often you will see teams not happy to take ones but

:50:22. > :50:27.they are so far ahead now, so close to finishing this game, they are

:50:28. > :50:30.just going to take it. Sir Brad Jacobs sending down what could be

:50:31. > :50:34.the last stone here. If he takes this one, interesting to see what

:50:35. > :50:42.David Murdoch does. They'll be 9-3 ahead. He needs to sit here, and he

:50:43. > :50:48.does. Canada lead 9-3. There's a discussion going on with the British

:50:49. > :50:55.team. And that's it. They are going to go and finish this. This is game

:50:56. > :51:02.over. Hard lines. Enough is enough. Brad Jacobs and his team are the

:51:03. > :51:16.gold medallists. A disappointing final in all respects and the

:51:17. > :51:21.Canadians have delivered. It's been a sad final for Dave Murdoch and his

:51:22. > :51:26.team, but they'll reflect, I'm sure, in the coming hours on a silver

:51:27. > :51:32.medal which was thoroughly deserved. They didn't bring their best game to

:51:33. > :51:36.the final, unfortunately. It was a step too far. Against a Canada team

:51:37. > :51:41.that was never going to let them back into the match once they got

:51:42. > :51:46.off to a good start. They really had to come and take the

:51:47. > :51:51.game early on. Too many mistakes today. Too many errors. Too many big

:51:52. > :52:01.shots for the skip to have to make to try to rescue the team. He tried

:52:02. > :52:06.really hard early on to do that. As full of admiration we are for the

:52:07. > :52:10.Canadian team, the bronze for the women and the silver for the men,

:52:11. > :52:14.particularly the silver, given all the controversy over selection over

:52:15. > :52:19.the last 12 months, Tom Brewster, of course, the alternate, he brought

:52:20. > :52:26.together and Dave Murdoch was brought in, and getting through to

:52:27. > :52:30.the medal matches, two big wins over Norway, a big win over Sweden, a

:52:31. > :52:36.silver medal. Still a massive achievement. Yes. Let's not forget,

:52:37. > :52:40.this isn't the game that we wanted or the finish we were looking for,

:52:41. > :52:44.but a silver medal, if they'd been offered that on a plate before this

:52:45. > :52:51.competition started, they would have taken it. It's a fantastic medal.

:52:52. > :52:55.Disappointing at the minute. It will give them some comfort at some

:52:56. > :53:05.point. They really were up against it today. This was the Canadian team

:53:06. > :53:09.that were not going to be giving in. I am delighted that we have got a

:53:10. > :53:15.silver and a bronze and we have raised the profile of our sport.

:53:16. > :53:21.It's just wonderful. On wards and upwards is what I say. Canada were

:53:22. > :53:25.always the favourites to win the gold and congratulations to them.

:53:26. > :53:30.They played very well in the second half of the round Robin and in the

:53:31. > :53:36.medal matches particularly today. A silver for Great Britain, the final

:53:37. > :53:40.score, 9-3. Canada are the Olympic champions.

:53:41. > :53:50.Three titles in a row for them. They were the favourites. That

:53:51. > :53:53.performance by Dave Murdoch, still representative of what they have

:53:54. > :53:57.done in the tournament? Yes, you you know what, they put a good run in

:53:58. > :54:01.towards the final there and it will be a tough one to take. They were

:54:02. > :54:04.just the second best team there today unfortunately, the Canadians

:54:05. > :54:09.came out strong and really were fighting from the first game, as we

:54:10. > :54:14.said earlier. You know what, it's still silver. They are going to feel

:54:15. > :54:19.it losing that last game but it's still fantastic, a silver medal.

:54:20. > :54:25.This is the irony, you won a bronze yesterday. Makes me feel a lot

:54:26. > :54:32.better. I guess tomorrow, the medals will be handed out, but you will get

:54:33. > :54:36.your medals at the same time and I'm sure by then they'll reflect on

:54:37. > :54:40.what's been an amazing tournament? Definitely. I think tomorrow night,

:54:41. > :54:45.it will finally sink in when we get that medal round the necks. For the

:54:46. > :54:48.guys as well, I know it will be a tough next few hours for them, they

:54:49. > :54:52.are going to have to go through a lot of the media, probably doping

:54:53. > :54:55.control, but, you know what, hopefully they can realise what they

:54:56. > :54:59.have done. They have done themselves proud to get to the position they

:55:00. > :55:03.are in. First Olympic Games for three of them. Dave, he'll be

:55:04. > :55:08.disappointed just from the last hurdle, as he's won a lot of major

:55:09. > :55:17.Championships in the past, but they are going to have to pick themselves

:55:18. > :55:20.up. Still fantastic. Tough wording in commentary, it was said that it

:55:21. > :55:23.was getting embarrassing. Do you think Dave and the guys will feel

:55:24. > :55:29.embarrassed in the way they performed today? I guess maybe a

:55:30. > :55:32.small bit. During the week, they had a roller coaster. They have had a

:55:33. > :55:38.few wins that could have gone the other way. You know, I wouldn't say

:55:39. > :55:43.such an embarrassment. I think they've still done everyone at home

:55:44. > :55:46.very proud. The Canadians looked like they wanted it more. Even half

:55:47. > :55:51.way through the game, these guys were pumped for that game. We know

:55:52. > :55:54.how strong they are. Similar with the ladies' game. Jones unbeaten

:55:55. > :56:02.through the whole tournament. These guys are strong and practice hard. I

:56:03. > :56:08.just wish some would retire soon! We talked act the Canadians wanting it

:56:09. > :56:11.more. In contrast to you, Dave came here I think to win an Olympic

:56:12. > :56:17.medal. He'd achieved that. It was like his final was against the

:56:18. > :56:22.Swedes and they just didn't have the intensity when it came to today.

:56:23. > :56:26.Yes. When you go into major tournaments, you always think, all I

:56:27. > :56:29.want is that Olympic medal. But believe you me, you will know as

:56:30. > :56:33.well, when you get to the final stages and you are in the final, you

:56:34. > :56:37.don't want anything but the gold, do you? I know I've had that feeling

:56:38. > :56:40.before, you get to the final and at the start of the weak you think,

:56:41. > :56:44.silver would be fine, but when you are in that position, when you have

:56:45. > :56:47.a chance to win the gold, you don't want anything but the gold, so it

:56:48. > :56:50.will take probably a few days to sink in, but at the end of the day,

:56:51. > :56:56.they are going to get a silver Olympic medal around their necks. A

:56:57. > :57:03.really successful Team GB this year and hopefully tonight we can

:57:04. > :57:07.continue that in the speed skating. If Christie was to win a medal, that

:57:08. > :57:11.would be a fine performance by the British team. Dave Murdoch is a

:57:12. > :57:14.veteran of three Olympics. The likes of Scott Andrews, he struggled

:57:15. > :57:20.earlier on. Perhaps it will take long tore get over this experience?

:57:21. > :57:24.Yes. That's it. These guys are still young. I wouldn't want to say

:57:25. > :57:29.inexperienced because they have a couple of world silvers under their

:57:30. > :57:35.belts and they train day in day out. But this won't do them any harm at

:57:36. > :57:41.all. They'll come back. We didn't come away with a medal at Vancouver,

:57:42. > :57:44.but I learned so much from that. The guys will bag up the experience and

:57:45. > :57:48.they'll be giving 2018 a shot. All you can do when it comes to that is

:57:49. > :57:52.bag up the experience from here and take that on to to future

:57:53. > :57:56.Championships. In terms of your career and the girls that you are

:57:57. > :58:00.curling with, how much longer, I mean you are very young, the

:58:01. > :58:08.youngest Olympic medallist, I mean, do you look beyond 2022? What is

:58:09. > :58:13.your plan going forward? Zbla you know what, for a young team we are

:58:14. > :58:16.not finished yet. We have a long future ahead of us I think. I want

:58:17. > :58:19.to say this, this Olympics is a stepping stone in our career and

:58:20. > :58:25.hopefully the first of many great things to come. When we got together

:58:26. > :58:28.a few years ago, we'd won European Championships, the World

:58:29. > :58:32.Championships and now an Olympic medal. As I say, we are not finished

:58:33. > :58:36.yet. We have a long future ahead of us, I would like to think. We are

:58:37. > :58:41.going to go in for the next Olympics I would hope. But who know, I'll be

:58:42. > :58:47.getting a bit old after that. How old would you be, 27? Yes. That

:58:48. > :58:49.sounds young to me! What do you think you have learned through the

:58:50. > :58:53.tournament, individually and as a team? You come in with the

:58:54. > :58:57.expectations of gold, having to reseat your sights when you lost the

:58:58. > :59:02.semi-final match. What would you take out of this, apart from the

:59:03. > :59:06.bronze? I've learned a tonne from this Championships and probably the

:59:07. > :59:10.most I've learned is bouncing back from the semi-final loss. I didn'the

:59:11. > :59:14.know what I was going to do, to be honest. After the game, you could

:59:15. > :59:18.see all of us were devastated. We came here as world champions, so we

:59:19. > :59:22.knew we had a chance for the gold and put ourselves in a position to

:59:23. > :59:31.get it. When your dreams are shattered with the one game, it's

:59:32. > :59:35.tough. We need to thank our coaches, Dave was fantastic with us, he

:59:36. > :59:39.managed to lift us the next morning and for us to come back and win that

:59:40. > :59:44.bronze medal game, showed a lot of guts and determination, I would like

:59:45. > :59:48.to think. That's where we learnt the most. Athletes have to learn to lose

:59:49. > :59:52.before they win and I'm so proud of the girls as well. What a fantastic

:59:53. > :59:57.Olympic Games for them. It's been their first games, they showed a lot

:59:58. > :00:01.of great will power. You have given us some amazing

:00:02. > :00:05.moments. Let's look back at what has been an amazing curling tournament

:00:06. > :00:11.for the British men and the British women.

:00:12. > :00:47.David Murdoch and this British team MUSIC

:00:48. > :01:53.A gold model for the Canadians, but a silver for David Murdoch.

:01:54. > :01:57.I know this was not your day, but congratulations on the silver, tell

:01:58. > :02:04.me about that game. We never got off to a good start, we have to focus on

:02:05. > :02:09.the start, they came at us hard. We did not get the jewels in the right

:02:10. > :02:16.place. We had a chance of a too, we got caught out, and we were

:02:17. > :02:20.struggling on free. When you are 5-1 down, you are not going to come

:02:21. > :02:27.back. How proud are you of the silver medal? It is something I will

:02:28. > :02:31.think about in a minute. We are just thinking about not getting the gold

:02:32. > :02:40.at the moment, but a silver medal is scarily cool! A lot of hard work,

:02:41. > :02:44.congratulations. Obviously, disappointed, but at

:02:45. > :02:51.least he is smiling. Thank you for your company, enjoyed your medal

:02:52. > :02:56.ceremony tomorrow. Let's go into the flower ceremony, Steve Cram and

:02:57. > :02:59.Jackie Lockhart standing by. You will not get medals, but you deserve

:03:00. > :03:03.something for your sterling work over the last two weeks!

:03:04. > :03:12.We have enjoyed every minute. It has been great that we have ended with

:03:13. > :03:19.two medals for Great Britain. We have done 27 matches in total, most

:03:20. > :03:23.of them, I am pleased to say, have been involving British interest,

:03:24. > :03:30.about 24 of them. Although today was not the best, it was not the result

:03:31. > :03:34.that was disappointing, it was always going to be tough to beat

:03:35. > :03:39.Canada, the manner of the defeat will not be remembered, I hope, and

:03:40. > :03:45.what they will take away is the fact that they are Olympics all the

:03:46. > :03:49.medallists, and they played very well during the competition, and

:03:50. > :03:54.they have something very tangible to show for it, of which I am sure they

:03:55. > :04:03.will be proud in the future. I have thoroughly enjoyed commentating on

:04:04. > :04:08.this Olympic Games here. We have had some thrilling events to watch, some

:04:09. > :04:14.fantastic shots. Unfortunately, it was not the game we were hoping to

:04:15. > :04:20.be commentating on, we were hoping to be commentating on a winning

:04:21. > :04:26.team, but I am so proud of what Team GB have done at this Olympic Games.

:04:27. > :04:29.We have a silver and bronze medal. All the work and effort and

:04:30. > :04:37.determination that has been put in has shone through. They have had us

:04:38. > :04:42.on the edges of our seats, sometimes questioning what they are doing. I

:04:43. > :04:49.would have to say, Steve Cram is learning more every time he comes

:04:50. > :04:55.here. It has been a pleasure. I have worked it all out now! I just need

:04:56. > :05:01.to get you on the ice now, see if you are any good on the game. Not

:05:02. > :05:06.talking about it! Like most things in life, I am better at talking

:05:07. > :05:11.about it than doing it! The Sweden team, I am so pleased for them, many

:05:12. > :05:21.able will be, Niklas Edin, the bronze medal. Not what they wanted,

:05:22. > :05:28.but they could have finished in fourth place a game, which happened

:05:29. > :05:44.four years ago. Viktor Kjaell. He played lead. Sebastian Kraupp, the

:05:45. > :05:50.vice skip. And their flamboyant at times leader, Niklas Edin. He led

:05:51. > :05:55.the team well. It was a gut-wrenching defeat to Britain in

:05:56. > :05:59.the semifinals, but they bounced back to win the bronze medal in an

:06:00. > :06:06.extra end against China. They had a real battle this morning, they

:06:07. > :06:15.fought all the way. They played some wonderful shots. There they go, the

:06:16. > :06:19.GB boys. Let's applaud them, they deserve all of the adulation they

:06:20. > :06:25.are going to get from the supporters here. They will enjoy their medal

:06:26. > :06:30.ceremony tomorrow. Tom Brewster helped put the team together. He

:06:31. > :06:35.gets a medal as well, he deserves a lot of credit for the role he has

:06:36. > :06:40.played in helping these guys develop into Olympic silver medallists.

:06:41. > :06:43.Michael Goodfellow, not from a curling background, you do not have

:06:44. > :06:48.to have a family of colours. Scott Andrews comes from a curling

:06:49. > :06:55.background, they will be delighted in Prestwick. From Forfar, Greg

:06:56. > :06:58.Drummond, his parents are here, they will be so proud, he has been

:06:59. > :07:05.excellent all the way through. Third time lucky, but it was not luck, it

:07:06. > :07:11.was about endeavour, shotmaking and nerve when it counted most, the

:07:12. > :07:18.match against Norway, the last shot, and against Sweden, the skip, David

:07:19. > :07:28.Murdoch. So proud, I am sure, of his team. We did question whether the

:07:29. > :07:33.Canadian team were going to be performing to the level they had

:07:34. > :07:41.been at their Olympic trials, they started shakily, but they have

:07:42. > :07:44.finished the competition on a high. They will be bluffing their gold

:07:45. > :07:51.medal tomorrow, didn't get a good polish. They will be fated back home

:07:52. > :08:01.in Canada, they take the gold medal in the men's curling. Caleb Flaxey,

:08:02. > :08:07.the alternate, and the brothers, Ryan Harnden and EJ Harnden. Ryan

:08:08. > :08:18.Fry joined the team about 18 months ago. Then, the skip, the cousin of

:08:19. > :08:25.the brothers, Brad Jacobs. They talk a good game, but goodness me, they

:08:26. > :08:31.played a good game as well. If you come with that sort of attitude and

:08:32. > :08:41.intensity, not always to everybody's liking, but they stood

:08:42. > :08:49.up strong. Canada, Great Britain and Sweden, the gold, silver and bronze

:08:50. > :08:53.medallists in the men's curling. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 11

:08:54. > :08:59.days or so. It has been absorbing sport, and when you can see the

:09:00. > :09:05.twists and turns in front of you, the emotion, the pressure is etched

:09:06. > :09:09.on their faces, you have heard the discussions, the confidence

:09:10. > :09:15.building, you have heard it seeping away sometimes, it has been an

:09:16. > :09:19.enthralling ride, and I hope you have enjoyed our coverage of the

:09:20. > :09:22.curling. From Jackie Lockhart and me, that is it, we look forward to

:09:23. > :09:28.seeing these guys get the medal tomorrow night in the medal Plaza.

:09:29. > :09:30.Yes, thank you very much, good night from me, and it is good night from

:09:31. > :09:44.him. As somebody once said! They are great images, as they were

:09:45. > :09:47.saying, the medal ceremony is tomorrow evening. The silver medal

:09:48. > :09:51.is official, so Britain has for medals.

:09:52. > :10:00.Our equal best ever performance, in 1924, that was the last time we got

:10:01. > :10:01.for medals, and a fifth medal could come this evening through Elise

:10:02. > :10:09.Christie. Let's look back to one of the

:10:10. > :10:13.moments of the Winter Olympics, yesterday evening, I was lying on my

:10:14. > :10:16.bed, I was watching this match, I thought, this is all over bar the

:10:17. > :10:40.shouting, but how wrong I was. She scores! The Americans draw first

:10:41. > :10:46.blood. A snapper from the captain, who leads by example. She goes top

:10:47. > :10:50.shelf. A loose play from the Canadians and out of the American

:10:51. > :10:56.attack to come in. She was digging deep, and Captain America opens up

:10:57. > :11:03.the scoring in the gold-medal match. Look at that, high, into the goal.

:11:04. > :11:05.It is a thing of beauty, as you see the American bench, they know how

:11:06. > :11:29.much it means. Just wide. Carpenter scores! The red

:11:30. > :11:36.light is on. Is this going to be the golden goal? This is the great

:11:37. > :11:49.movement up to the boards, and right across. Some great handiwork.

:11:50. > :11:55.Measured twice, cut once. Carpenter cuts the Canadian hopes into shreds

:11:56. > :12:03.with this goal. Canada running out of time. They are also running out

:12:04. > :12:10.of ideas. It is a goal! Out of absolutely nothing! The Canadians

:12:11. > :12:18.score, and now we will have a Grand Slam finish. They are so closely

:12:19. > :12:22.matched, and now there is just one goal between them. The Canadians

:12:23. > :12:27.have a tiny bit of belief they can come back. Hard work makes this

:12:28. > :12:36.goal, and a bit of luck goes a long way. She creates her own good

:12:37. > :12:41.fortune. If this is touched, redirected, I am not sure, but it

:12:42. > :12:51.came off Rhiannon Jenner. She had a burst of speed. She will get credit

:12:52. > :12:56.for it. They have looked so unlikely all day. This could seal it. Off the

:12:57. > :13:13.post! So close! Denied! Was that the chance, I

:13:14. > :13:20.wonder? You suspect the Canadians were always going to have one. They

:13:21. > :13:29.have scored! The Canadians have levelled it! 54 seconds to go! Are

:13:30. > :13:36.you kidding me! The Americans cannot believe what has happened. Now, the

:13:37. > :13:47.Maple Leafs believe. 2-0 down, they were dead and buried. In three and a

:13:48. > :13:52.half minutes, they have come back. She has stuck her name into

:13:53. > :13:59.folklore. This is something else. Hold onto your seats, because we

:14:00. > :14:05.have a minute left. We are level. We may as well book for bed and

:14:06. > :14:19.breakfast, over time all over again. 20 minutes, sudden death.

:14:20. > :14:39.A goal! A golden goal! She wins the gold-medal! She took it to overtime,

:14:40. > :14:46.and now she wins it! Canada finish on top again, and the Americans have

:14:47. > :15:00.disabled the silver. An amazing game. Finished by an amazing player.

:15:01. > :15:09.They did it in 2002, 2006 and 2010. The Canadians will finish on top of

:15:10. > :15:26.the podium here. A deep sigh of relief. A stunning,

:15:27. > :15:32.stunning comeback. The Americans will feel hard done

:15:33. > :15:47.so. Of course, they will. But the tears of joy come from the that

:15:48. > :15:55.ayedians -- Canadians. Marie Philippe-Pollin does it again. The

:15:56. > :16:05.build-up is there. The one touch there that, was Rebecca Johnson that

:16:06. > :16:14.led up to that. That is the reason. You see that coming from Marie

:16:15. > :16:19.Philippe PPoulin and the eruption from the Canadian bench. It's a

:16:20. > :16:24.rocky mountain high for Canada again as they are gold medallists at the

:16:25. > :16:28.Olympic Games. Once again, they may not have been the best team in the

:16:29. > :16:34.tournament, but they finish with the winning record. That record of 16

:16:35. > :16:40.years since their last defeat will stretch to 20.

:16:41. > :16:44.Wow. I'm so gutted that I turned the television off. What an amazing

:16:45. > :16:48.match that was and what a comeback from the Canadians. That will hurt

:16:49. > :16:51.the Americans for a long, long time to come. Today was the turn of the

:16:52. > :17:00.men. A dramatic tournament so far, unless of course you are Russian.

:17:01. > :17:03.This is where the fate of the Russian team will be decided.

:17:04. > :17:18.Wonderful finish. Score! Back on level terms.

:17:19. > :17:28.Absolutely incredible. Wonderful finish. Into the top corner.

:17:29. > :17:37.Silences the crowd. Scores. Canada has advanced to the semi-final.

:17:38. > :17:40.Sweden will move on to their semi-finalists, Canada will play

:17:41. > :17:52.America. It's semi-final line-up today.

:17:53. > :17:56.Sweden up against Finland, the conquerors of Russia, and then wow,

:17:57. > :18:01.what a match that is going to be, the United States v Canada,

:18:02. > :18:05.especially after what happened last night in the women's final. We saw

:18:06. > :18:11.Sweden v Finland earlier. We can catch up with the rest of that match

:18:12. > :18:13.with Steph and Brent now. A very, very tight game.

:18:14. > :18:41.Battling hard on the boards. There is a break here. Good save.

:18:42. > :18:54.The two net miners have started well here. Here is a great opportunity.

:18:55. > :19:02.It's a hard working game between these two sides.

:19:03. > :19:10.Opens all the way up. Maybe clipped the post as that one went by from

:19:11. > :19:21.the man who opened up the Russia game. Back to the blue line.

:19:22. > :19:33.That was a great chance. Aaltonen. Happens that quick, we'll watch it

:19:34. > :19:44.again. I watched the Canadians practise this morning. Goodness me,

:19:45. > :19:49.did they ever look good! And Lundqvist is there. The referee

:19:50. > :19:57.reckons the whistle went before it crossed the line and technology is

:19:58. > :20:13.needed. Watch this play develop. And this is one that's got to count.

:20:14. > :20:18.Let's listen. For me, that is 100% conclusive. It has to be a goal.

:20:19. > :20:29.Let's see. Finland take the lead and Finland are on the board first.

:20:30. > :20:40.Jokerit gets the chequered flag. And he gets the sham wane treat.

:20:41. > :20:48.Sweden with a real chance. Side of the net. What a goal! That is a

:20:49. > :20:59.thing of beauty. Fired in at the side of the net by

:21:00. > :21:11.Eriksson. His second of the Games. Just a third over and the Swedes

:21:12. > :21:22.pick it up. Eriksson, Jerry down to Loui. Level at one.

:21:23. > :21:37.Opens up. Scores! A bolt from the blue from Eriksson. And just when

:21:38. > :21:46.you think Karlsson's gone quiet, he strikes and Sweden have the lead.let

:21:47. > :21:59.Finds his way again. Blows that past the block blocker.

:22:00. > :22:26.Raised high up towards the roof. Lost for a moment. Eriksson of

:22:27. > :22:35.Sweden. They are going to the final again! They maintain their perfect

:22:36. > :22:43.record in Olympic semis. Finland beaten, Sweden stingy, Sweden

:22:44. > :22:48.strong, Sweden go through. So, Sweden through to the final.

:22:49. > :22:54.We'll find out who they play when the USA play Canada tonight at 5 pm.

:22:55. > :22:59.Steam Cram caught up with Dave Murdoch and the boys post that

:23:00. > :23:04.defeat in the match. First of all, reaction to the match.

:23:05. > :23:08.You will be disappointed. You are silver medallists but reflect on the

:23:09. > :23:10.game first? It's hugely disappointing, it was the

:23:11. > :23:14.opportunity of a lifetime and unfortunately, we didn't grasp it,

:23:15. > :23:18.we got off to a bad start and against a team like that, you can't

:23:19. > :23:24.afford to do that. There were a few mistakes that gave them the front

:23:25. > :23:28.foot. It was always going to be an uphill struggle. Yes, we just have

:23:29. > :23:32.to take that. That's what can happen.

:23:33. > :23:35.Can you put your finger on anything Greg out there that didn't happen

:23:36. > :23:39.for you? It's hard to say, to be honest. The conditions were slightly

:23:40. > :23:43.different than what we probably expected, but we can't use that as

:23:44. > :23:49.an excuse. We are professional athletes and have to be able to deal

:23:50. > :23:53.with things like that. But Ke just didn't put enough shots together.

:23:54. > :23:57.The Canadian guys always have the lead.

:23:58. > :24:01.Dave's just said it, they are a good team and I suppose they reached a

:24:02. > :24:07.point and you reached a point where you were hoping they would make a

:24:08. > :24:11.mistake? Yes, but we didn't make enough shots and we weren't the

:24:12. > :24:15.better team, so all credit to the guys, they all came out and shot

:24:16. > :24:19.really well. Not to be today. Let's forget that then, Mike, we'll start

:24:20. > :24:23.on the positives, you came here obviously not necessarily as

:24:24. > :24:26.everyone's tip to win a medal. You guys probably thought you could, but

:24:27. > :24:31.just reflect on the competition and the fact that you are an Olympic

:24:32. > :24:35.silver medallist? Yes. It feels pretty incredible. We have had an up

:24:36. > :24:38.and down week, some really good games and struggled sometimes as

:24:39. > :24:42.well, but we've fought hard and played really well when it mattered

:24:43. > :24:48.and came which way with a silver which we are all really chuffed

:24:49. > :24:52.with. For you three, this was your first Olympic experience and to come

:24:53. > :24:57.away with a silver must give you a bit of a taste for what might come

:24:58. > :25:03.in the future? For sure. Obviously Dave's been at two games before and

:25:04. > :25:08.we pitch up and get to the final the first time. We have been together

:25:09. > :25:12.for a few years now and we've got a lot of experience now. A couple of

:25:13. > :25:18.world final medals and stuff like that. So yes, great for the future.

:25:19. > :25:23.It's bright for our team. Greg, you look complete completely sured out

:25:24. > :25:27.there. You all did and must have perhaps dreamt of an Olympic medal.

:25:28. > :25:36.When the competition started, did you think you would do it? We came

:25:37. > :25:40.here thinking we could do it. We did put some world class games

:25:41. > :25:44.together and, else splishl towards the end of the week we had some high

:25:45. > :25:51.pressure games that we came out on the right side of. Unfortunately

:25:52. > :25:58.today, it wasn't to be. Dave, reflect on what this means for

:25:59. > :26:06.these three? It's been an incredible team effort. A lot of hard work and

:26:07. > :26:13.training. It was the most incredible thing.

:26:14. > :26:17.It's been a kick in the teeth but I'm proud of these guys.

:26:18. > :26:20.What about you? Obviously this is your third Olympic Games, you have

:26:21. > :26:23.finally got that medal, it's probably Early to start thinking

:26:24. > :26:27.about the future, I can see how much it means to you, but this is a

:26:28. > :26:32.special time for you? Yes, it is. And for your families as well, they

:26:33. > :26:36.have been out here supporting you? Yes, the support's been great for

:26:37. > :26:39.the friends and family and the guys back home, the whole nation's been

:26:40. > :26:47.talking about curling so we should take this opportunity to the thank

:26:48. > :26:51.the nation for getting behind us. Medal ceremony tomorrow night. Easy

:26:52. > :26:58.know you are going to enjoy that. Well done guys, silver medallists.

:26:59. > :27:03.Congratulations. They've won a silver and feel

:27:04. > :27:07.depressed, but I'm sure confirm tomorrow they'll feel much better

:27:08. > :27:11.for what's been a brilliant tournament for them. Today though,

:27:12. > :27:16.that's not the end of the medal possibilities for Team GB. Later on,

:27:17. > :27:21.Christie goes in her favourite event, the 1,000 metres. It would be

:27:22. > :27:25.an incredible story if she won a medal after what's been a traumatic

:27:26. > :27:29.Winter Olympics. We are all waiting to see whether

:27:30. > :27:35.she can become the First Lady skater in the history of this event to make

:27:36. > :27:38.it into the medal contest. There's a faller. They have gone

:27:39. > :27:47.down already. This is history in the making.

:27:48. > :28:05.That's good enough. Christie is into the final.

:28:06. > :28:13.Christie crossed the line second in the 500 metres final. She was one of

:28:14. > :28:20.three to crash on the first lap. The Chinese Li Jan took gold as Christie

:28:21. > :28:24.got back into the race. On review, that's what they were looking at.

:28:25. > :28:33.She was found be at fault for the crash, she cut the corner and

:28:34. > :28:41.Christie was disqualified. I got hit unfortunately, that meant I hit

:28:42. > :28:45.everyone else. It's a 50/50 call and the referee made his decision. ? My

:28:46. > :28:48.opinion, it would have been different but everyone has got to

:28:49. > :28:55.have an opinion. That's the way short track is, unfortunately.

:28:56. > :29:01.Lovely move by Elise Christie. Moves into third place. Goes down the

:29:02. > :29:04.inside again and nips into second place. This is majestic stuff by the

:29:05. > :29:11.Scot. Christie has been left devastated by

:29:12. > :29:25.a second disqualmification. Straight after the race, she was

:29:26. > :29:28.baffled and frustrated. Do you have any idea why that

:29:29. > :29:34.happened... Can't believe it. Not a penalty

:29:35. > :29:41.she's been given. She's been awarded a "did not finish". She crosses the

:29:42. > :29:47.line marginally inside the track. Today I have no idea what is going

:29:48. > :29:50.on. I'm finding it hard. I've had quite a lot of abuse over the

:29:51. > :29:56.Internet and stuff I've had to deal with. It's been tough. I'm finding

:29:57. > :30:01.it quite hard. Stuff on the Internet. What do you mean? I've had

:30:02. > :30:07.a few people threatening me and stuff like that, just silly cyber

:30:08. > :30:08.bullying basically. It's kind of what's happened and I've got no

:30:09. > :30:17.control over it unfortunately. Elise Christie is on the track

:30:18. > :30:26.tonight in the quarter finals, semifinals and hopefully the final

:30:27. > :30:32.in her favourite event the 1,000 m. While Canada was winning a Gold

:30:33. > :30:35.Medal here in the Ice Cube, at the biathlon centre another medal was

:30:36. > :30:44.decided. We join it in the closing stages.

:30:45. > :30:51.Down it goes to slam the door shut on the chasers for now. The

:30:52. > :31:02.Canadians have put in an unbelievable race.

:31:03. > :31:06.The Russians go five outive foo. Norway are -- five out of five.

:31:07. > :31:10.Norway are five out of five. What a shame, she will have to do the same

:31:11. > :31:17.on the track as she did on the first two kilometre loop. That makes it a

:31:18. > :31:23.risky occasion for the final shoot. They've closed the gap. The lead is

:31:24. > :31:28.now 17 seconds. Russia in second place. Berger third for Norway.

:31:29. > :31:33.There are anxious moments for the Ukrainians in the stadium. Canada

:31:34. > :31:39.holding onto fourth for now. The Czech Republic are having a bit a

:31:40. > :31:44.wobble after a brilliant start. Two misses already. And the Americans in

:31:45. > :31:51.a position with Cook to go into the top five. No. She throws that last

:31:52. > :31:55.one wide. The Czechs clear to hold onto a slim lead over the Americans.

:31:56. > :32:05.The Italians trying to force a comeback after a brilliant start

:32:06. > :32:11.earlier on in the day. Look how close the top three positions are.

:32:12. > :32:20.The number of times that Berger has closed 40 seconds on The Last Leg of

:32:21. > :32:35.the relay, let -- on the last leg of the relay, let alone 22.

:32:36. > :32:44.She's now Belarus's most decorated winter or summer Olympian and made

:32:45. > :32:49.that look easy. Interestingly, the Norwegian cross-country skiers were

:32:50. > :32:52.saying they hope she doesn't take up cross-country skiing, because she is

:32:53. > :32:56.skiing so fast, she could win some of the cross-country races here. She

:32:57. > :33:00.may have eyes on that in the future. For now, it's all biathlon. With

:33:01. > :33:13.three golds, I think she'll stick with this for a while.

:33:14. > :33:26.Foulkard with two golds and a silver, missing out by just

:33:27. > :33:30.centimetres. Pidhrushna's lead is being eroded. She required that

:33:31. > :33:36.extra round which delayed her exit on the range. The Russians are

:33:37. > :33:48.coming. Pidhrushna's leads for Ukraine. Look how quickly Vilukhina

:33:49. > :33:52.is closing her down. Berger is not far behind either. There were 17

:33:53. > :33:57.seconds at the last checkpoint. Now it's just ten. This is going to get

:33:58. > :34:02.ever so tense in the closing stages. All three of the lead teams could

:34:03. > :34:09.still win this. All three will be on the mat together shooting for the

:34:10. > :34:14.standing starring etc. I expect Berger may be able to do more

:34:15. > :34:19.damage. She is the best shot from last year's statistics. She's the

:34:20. > :34:21.only one who hit over 90% in a standing position. She's generally

:34:22. > :34:24.four or five seconds quicker than anyone else in the standing

:34:25. > :34:29.position. But this season it hasn't been quite going to plan. It remains

:34:30. > :34:36.to be seen what she can do. She's been in this situation so many

:34:37. > :34:40.times. It's Canada's race, the best race they've produced for many

:34:41. > :34:45.years. And a medal would be an astonishing result for can da. It's

:34:46. > :34:47.not out -- Canada. It's not out of the question. The pressure on the

:34:48. > :34:58.lead three is unbelievable. I'm sure one of them is going to have a

:34:59. > :35:04.meltdown. Pidhrushna's will turn the corner very shortly. She will hear

:35:05. > :35:09.the roar of the crowd. She will take some heart from the Ukrainians

:35:10. > :35:14.who've travelled here to support. But the Russians will make a huge

:35:15. > :35:25.amount of noise when they see how much ground Olga Vilukhina has

:35:26. > :35:33.closed down. Moving in front of a packed gallery, the hopes of a

:35:34. > :35:37.nation rest on Pidhrushna's's shoulders. Can she hold her nerve,

:35:38. > :35:41.on the most testing of circumstances? Without doubt, the

:35:42. > :35:46.most important five shots she has undertake be in her -- undertaken in

:35:47. > :35:52.her career. Vilukhina in second place. Berger in third. Who will

:35:53. > :35:59.make a mistake? And who will put their country in prime position for

:36:00. > :36:03.a Gold Medal? Vilukhina has exceed faster than anyone else -- skied

:36:04. > :36:06.faster than anyone else in the leading three. That is a risky

:36:07. > :36:11.tactic. I think she wanted to put the Ukraine under pressure. She'll

:36:12. > :36:17.certainly have done that. Pidhrushna's had a 17-second lead,

:36:18. > :36:20.it is now down to around seven seconds. Berger just easing up

:36:21. > :36:25.before this final shoot. She also has the quickest final lap of the

:36:26. > :36:28.leading three. So Norway are not out of it, despite the fact they're in

:36:29. > :36:35.third. The Ukraine need five out of five to be sure and Russia with

:36:36. > :36:38.Vilukhina still in a very strong position. This is brilliant

:36:39. > :36:45.shooting. Now the nerves, she's are the hardest two. One. The job is

:36:46. > :36:49.half done. And again, superb shooting. Ukraine could be on their

:36:50. > :36:53.way to gold. Russia with one miss are in a little bit of trouble. But

:36:54. > :37:02.they can take 15 seconds out of the Ukraine on the last two kilometres

:37:03. > :37:07.and Berger has to produce an unbelievable ski to challenge. The

:37:08. > :37:12.Ukraine with Pidhrushna's are onto the last 2,000 metres. The margin

:37:13. > :37:18.will be significant, 11 seconds over Russia. It will be around 20 seconds

:37:19. > :37:23.over the Norwegians. Little stumble from Berger as she exits the range.

:37:24. > :37:29.She has some ground to make up. Vilukhina is in second place, 11

:37:30. > :37:37.seconds behind Pidhrushna's. Berger is third. Can she close down 25

:37:38. > :37:42.seconds? The Canadians have had a nightmare there. What a shame. A

:37:43. > :37:46.penalty loop at the end of what, until now, has been a superb

:37:47. > :37:51.performance. That's 300 extra metres. It could be an extra 450

:37:52. > :37:56.metres and the USA are likely to go ahead of Canada if they can hold

:37:57. > :38:03.their nerve. The Italians could get into fourth place. Good shooting.

:38:04. > :38:11.That's very solid at this stage of the race. You have to feel for

:38:12. > :38:15.Cocker. She has two loops, 300 metres, that's 52 seconds, to

:38:16. > :38:20.complete that. The Americans so far are safe. Three rounds to hit two

:38:21. > :38:23.targets. The Italians are coming strongly. Great finish from the

:38:24. > :38:29.Italians after a brilliant start early on. They're now back in the

:38:30. > :38:35.running for a top four. Good finish from USA with Cook. Very good finish

:38:36. > :38:41.from her. She'll have a good race with the Italians over that last 2 K

:38:42. > :38:47.loop. It is alling about the -- all about the leading three. Shortly the

:38:48. > :38:52.pictures will head back out onto the course. Pidhrushna's held her nerve

:38:53. > :38:59.beautifully there, 11 seconds the advantage. Berger has to make up 25

:39:00. > :39:06.if she's going to make it two relay golds for Norway. This is absolutely

:39:07. > :39:11.huge for Elena Pidhrushna's. She is being roared on by the Ukrainian

:39:12. > :39:17.coach. She won't need reminding of the significance of what would be

:39:18. > :39:20.their first medal of any colour. She has another 250 metres before she

:39:21. > :39:23.reaches the summit of the hill. Once there, it's very difficult to close

:39:24. > :39:27.down more than four or five seconds. The Russians if they want to win

:39:28. > :39:33.this one, they have to get it down to around two or three seconds by

:39:34. > :39:39.the summit of the climb. She's gasping. She's working hard. She

:39:40. > :39:46.knows how important this win could be. Vilukhina, is she looking tired?

:39:47. > :39:51.I think she might be. She skied the second loop faster than anyone else.

:39:52. > :39:54.She paid the price by losing five or six seconds and now she's paying a

:39:55. > :39:58.double price because she hasn't got anything left to give on this last

:39:59. > :40:03.lap. Instead of challenging for gold, she will have to defend silver

:40:04. > :40:10.because Torah Berger is notching up the work rate and closing the gap on

:40:11. > :40:13.the Silver Medal. Pidhrushna's is doing a brilliant job. Vilukhina was

:40:14. > :40:20.only 11 seconds behind when they exited the range. Now it's over 20.

:40:21. > :40:28.She just needs to stay on her feet here. All the hard work is done.

:40:29. > :40:36.She's closing in on a moment of huge significance. The Norwegian coaches

:40:37. > :40:41.are trying to roar Tora Berger on to close the gap on Vilukhina. There

:40:42. > :40:48.she comes. Vilukhina has just gone through shot. Tora Berger is now 50

:40:49. > :40:53.metres from the summit where she will descend to the stadium.

:40:54. > :40:57.Vilukhina is still 70 metres clear. The order of the top three should

:40:58. > :41:07.not change, unless someone takes a fall. Olena Pidhrushna's now, just

:41:08. > :41:12.moments away from an epic victory, all four of the you've cranian women

:41:13. > :41:18.have held their nerve brilliantly under the most testing of

:41:19. > :41:24.circumstances. She had to produce it on her last effort in the range and

:41:25. > :41:33.she did so in fine style. The crowd will respond, one more corner. She's

:41:34. > :41:40.getting closer. She's away and clear. And now she can ease up and

:41:41. > :41:45.she can start to think about this great moment. Gradge diat home in --

:41:46. > :41:49.tragedy at home in Kiev, triumph here in the Sochi snow. This has

:41:50. > :41:54.been a quartet, unbeaten by the opposition, unbeaten by the politics

:41:55. > :41:59.and united by passion. In so doing, they have created sporting history.

:42:00. > :42:05.What a timely reminder of the power of sport and what a poignant example

:42:06. > :42:10.of the great principles of -- on which the modern Olympic movement

:42:11. > :42:15.were founded. It is gold for Ukraine! A moment that they can

:42:16. > :42:21.hardly believe would happen. Huge pressure on all four of them and

:42:22. > :42:28.they've delivered in some style. Silver for Russia. The crowd

:42:29. > :42:33.responding once again, they're on the podium. It's an amazing record

:42:34. > :42:38.that keeps on going. Vilukhina absolutely exhausted, but she will

:42:39. > :42:41.get a moment on the podium. As too will Tora Berger, bronze for the

:42:42. > :42:46.Norwegians in the women's relay to go with their mixed relay gold. It
