:00:07. > :01:02.MUSIC welcome to Normandy, this ancient city of calm is more than

:01:03. > :01:05.1000 years old, it is William the Conqueror territory, and the bayou

:01:06. > :01:14.tapestry that tells the tale of his most important battle is just

:01:15. > :01:19.down the road, the whole world has now landed here, as this city and

:01:20. > :01:31.Normandy is hosting the 2014 world Equestrian games. MUSIC this is the

:01:32. > :01:36.horse Olympics, it only happens every four years and this is the

:01:37. > :01:40.biggest one ever, with nearly 1000 athletes and horses, not to mention

:01:41. > :01:45.the half a million spectators. The bridges riders have already been

:01:46. > :01:49.busy winning medals, now it is time for the show jumpers to shine and

:01:50. > :01:52.they are here to make history, no nation has ever held the Olympic,

:01:53. > :02:12.European and world titles at the same time. This is a man for a big

:02:13. > :02:22.occasion, Scott rash of Scotland. What a tournament he has had, my

:02:23. > :02:30.word, this boy is a star. Riding with his normal dash and style. What

:02:31. > :02:39.a run, that was a fantastic run. Michael Whitaker, at his glorious

:02:40. > :02:48.best. Britain is enjoying the glory days again. That is where they are

:02:49. > :02:56.hoping to make history, in this stadium, the main venue, known as

:02:57. > :03:00.the home of the local football club, but for two weeks the footballers

:03:01. > :03:05.have cleared away, and the horsemen have moved in, there are hundreds of

:03:06. > :03:09.lorries, and the horses have largely been brought here by road and ferry

:03:10. > :03:14.and they need somewhere to stay here, among those stables, are four

:03:15. > :03:21.very special equines, they belong to the British show jumping gene, let

:03:22. > :03:27.us meet the riders. -- team. Hello, my name is Scott rash, my horse is

:03:28. > :03:31.very intelligent, when he is at home he is very laid back and when he is

:03:32. > :03:39.in the ring he knows his job, probably the best horse I will ever

:03:40. > :03:44.have. Hello, I have written my horse for five years, he is a great

:03:45. > :03:51.athlete, he is very laid-back in the stable and when you get him out he

:03:52. > :03:56.livens up, and he always gives 100%. Hello, I wear

:03:57. > :04:06.my horse, has been riding since five years old. He shows heart and he

:04:07. > :04:10.jumps all of the jumps. My name is Michael Whitaker, I ride a horse

:04:11. > :04:17.called Viking, you need to be ready awake when you are riding him, I am

:04:18. > :04:24.very happy to ride him. He wins a lot. So this British showjumping

:04:25. > :04:31.line-up is a mix of old and new, in case you are wondering where Ben

:04:32. > :04:36.Maher is, he was forced to withdraw, before it started, his horse picking

:04:37. > :04:40.up an injury. They do still have the talent and experience of world

:04:41. > :04:53.number one Scott Brasch, and Michael Whitaker, but the other two are

:04:54. > :04:58.making their championship debuts. So away we go, it is the second of

:04:59. > :05:06.three rounds in the team title. COMMENTATOR: For the world,

:05:07. > :05:22.Championships. He has won the world title comedy is now riding a new

:05:23. > :05:28.horse, in Britain. He actually got his slot in the very competitive

:05:29. > :05:32.Dutch team after some good rounds in the Rotterdam Nations cup. The

:05:33. > :05:45.Netherlands were one of the favoured teams. As you were saying, he is a

:05:46. > :05:51.rider with proven championship pedigree, this horse, was produced

:05:52. > :05:55.in Britain. Ten years old now, really coming into top form, he does

:05:56. > :06:04.look like a proper championship course, with all of the scope and

:06:05. > :06:09.ride ability. -- championship force. This course, lots space at the

:06:10. > :06:16.beginning. It gets tough at the end of the course, there is a difficult

:06:17. > :06:23.line for the rider that you will see later, coming into a double, that

:06:24. > :06:31.boxer is 180 wide, that is difficult to jump. It has been causing a

:06:32. > :06:48.few problems. You can see how off-putting it is, the tension, good

:06:49. > :06:52.round for the Dutch. He came in on 1.25, there is the Dutch management

:06:53. > :07:02.team, they will be very happy with their start. This horse jumped a

:07:03. > :07:07.smashing round, showing great ability, also he is very rideable,

:07:08. > :07:16.great temperament, spot-on everywhere. He looks as though he

:07:17. > :07:27.will go everywhere this week. Jumping the last fence, giving it

:07:28. > :07:31.plenty of room. There is the confirmed school, that is coming

:07:32. > :07:48.from the speed leg, the first of these three rounds. Now, it is the

:07:49. > :07:59.great Michael Whitaker. 54 years old now, from the famous dynasty. Scot

:08:00. > :08:05.Brash And Spencer looking on. He did not have a great Equestrian games

:08:06. > :08:10.four years ago, this man has ridden in all 11 European Championships and

:08:11. > :08:14.he was in team gold last year on this very horse, and he has worn

:08:15. > :08:25.gold medals at Equestrian games and Olympic Games. Can he get written

:08:26. > :08:33.off to a flying start? The answer is not. -- Britain off. He is an

:08:34. > :08:39.unpredictable horse, he hesitated on take-off, this combination has

:08:40. > :08:45.caused a lot of trouble, in power and scope. No problems there. On his

:08:46. > :08:48.day, Viking is a fabulous horse, but Michael Whitaker is always on a

:08:49. > :08:53.knife edge with him trying to keep him quiet. It is a bit surprising

:08:54. > :08:59.that in the speed leg yesterday, Britain did not use the speed

:09:00. > :09:02.aspect, along the top, the current positions of the team, difficult to

:09:03. > :09:06.establish that in these early stages. You can read too much into

:09:07. > :09:13.that at this point in time. Remember stages. You can read too much into

:09:14. > :09:21.through at the end of this round, the top ten

:09:22. > :09:25.through at the end of this round, round three. Just unlucky, the same

:09:26. > :09:34.mistake as early on, Viking cramping up his back legs, taking the poll

:09:35. > :09:43.out. Nicely inside the time, but it is two fences down. And Britain is

:09:44. > :09:46.on the back foot already. There is the first fence, the back legs are

:09:47. > :09:53.not quite free enough, very early on in the course, Michael regrouped and

:09:54. > :09:57.did well, just unlucky, you can see how light those bricks are. Running

:09:58. > :10:06.forwards after the water, that is the third one that came down, again

:10:07. > :10:12.the back end is not really worth it. That is confirmation of the school,

:10:13. > :10:24.after two rounds, Michael Whitaker, 16.05. And this French crowd, they

:10:25. > :10:36.are so supportive, as it comes to their 34 rolls stylish ladies star.

:10:37. > :10:40.-- 34-year-old. The horses a nine-year-old, she is part of the

:10:41. > :10:47.silver medal team for Francine Kentucky's four years ago. Simone

:10:48. > :10:59.has already gone for France. With one fence down. This is a horse that

:11:00. > :11:03.has got a tremendous amount of ability, as they spring up in the

:11:04. > :11:11.air. They carry their heads quite high, but this horse suits her. It

:11:12. > :11:16.has been a terrific addition to her string. The French went very well

:11:17. > :11:22.not surprisingly against the clock yesterday, they were one of the

:11:23. > :11:29.quickest with just 0.4 of a penalty. She is riding for her life. She has

:11:30. > :11:35.certainly got the seven levels stride is, down to this jump. And

:11:36. > :11:41.this one coming up again, tremendous wit and a lot of power is required.

:11:42. > :11:54.This is the line which has caused the problems. Just a hesitation on

:11:55. > :12:01.take-off, has lost a tiny bit of lament, that is unlucky. Philip down

:12:02. > :12:21.the left-hand side, he is the team manager, he has got this team really

:12:22. > :12:26.fired up. Everything going beautifully until coming out of the

:12:27. > :12:31.double, you can see how wide and square that is, just dropped onto

:12:32. > :12:39.the back rail. This is a young horse, I am sure that she is

:12:40. > :12:47.delighted with that round. Confirmation coming up of that four,

:12:48. > :12:57.that is the score that she will take forward to the final round. Out in

:12:58. > :13:08.the collecting area, some of the girls. The Australian lady rider.

:13:09. > :13:15.Back inside, Marcus Henning, the man who has been world number one on

:13:16. > :13:19.many an occasion, he was at Sydney, one of the most consistent and

:13:20. > :13:24.stylish riders at the moment, on this grey horse. He has been in

:13:25. > :13:33.great form on the champions tour, third in Paris. 3.14 is the

:13:34. > :13:38.penalties that he brings forward, but the Germans are right there are,

:13:39. > :13:42.the best three to count, but teams of four. That is the most important

:13:43. > :13:47.thing to remember in this championship. We know all about

:13:48. > :13:53.Marcus Henning over the years, he is undoubtedly one of the best riders

:13:54. > :14:00.in the world. This horse is coming through, you can see, unbelievable

:14:01. > :14:05.scope. All of the pedigree, jumps slightly inverted, keeps his head

:14:06. > :14:11.up, incredible power. Eating these big ox is, staying in a lovely fluid

:14:12. > :14:24.rhythm, just watch this guy ride. Always in balance. Easy. Amazing

:14:25. > :14:29.ability. CHEERING No problem at all for Marcus

:14:30. > :14:34.Henning, the Germans who did not have the best of the world 's four

:14:35. > :14:48.years ago, as you can see they're doing well. With Marcus Henning.

:14:49. > :14:53.This horse is definitely one of the horses to watch this week, when the

:14:54. > :14:57.going gets really tough for the final individual rounds, he

:14:58. > :15:04.will be in there, and when the jumps are absolutely massive which they

:15:05. > :15:19.will do, this is a horse that has got the power to jump them. Here is

:15:20. > :15:26.the confirmation of his score, 3.14, from yesterday 's speed leg. The

:15:27. > :15:30.Germans are in a very comfortable position. It is an important round

:15:31. > :15:40.for Britain now, and what a moment for a first timer, it is 36-year-old

:15:41. > :15:51.Joe Clee. He jumped a decent round for a first timer, it is 36-year-old

:15:52. > :15:57.yesterday, all of the British riders were slower than we anticipated, but

:15:58. > :16:06.this of course is the big moment, Britain are short of top horses and

:16:07. > :16:11.riders. Jumped a very good double clearance at Saint Gallen to get his

:16:12. > :16:20.place here, but again, already with two fences down. Top horse and rider

:16:21. > :16:25.combinations are thin on the ground at the moment in Britain at the

:16:26. > :16:29.moment, Joe Clee has forced his way in with a lot of consistent

:16:30. > :16:33.performances, he got caught out by that combination and he's not the

:16:34. > :16:39.first, the white rails are very difficult to jump, sets to the

:16:40. > :16:45.background of a very light arena. Carrying those eight full 's, he has

:16:46. > :16:50.got to hold it together, this is the line that has been causing problems

:16:51. > :17:03.as we have been seeing -- eight faults. Strides forwards,

:17:04. > :17:11.beautifully ridden, it is I'm afraid for Joe Klee, at the start of his

:17:12. > :17:17.career. Horse of the year show, now based in Belgium with his first

:17:18. > :17:24.championship performance. Here is the confirmation, he did not get the

:17:25. > :17:28.height, it is very square, to 155, and a very tall vertical which comes

:17:29. > :17:52.straight at you. It is difficult to jump. Well he played a good part in

:17:53. > :17:56.the Dublin results, to get Britain to the final therein the Nations

:17:57. > :18:01.cup, but that score is certainly not good news. Now, the super young

:18:02. > :18:08.talent from Ireland, just 19 good news. Now, the super young

:18:09. > :18:15.old, Bertrand Allen, he's already a star, he is based in Germany, with

:18:16. > :18:21.Marcus Henning. You will see many similarities in style, on this

:18:22. > :18:27.lovely English bred mare, Molly Malone. First to go for the Irish

:18:28. > :18:33.team. Unfortunately this is another horse that has escaped Britain, bred

:18:34. > :18:39.in Hampshire, is combination, it thrilled us in Dublin, winning the

:18:40. > :18:44.Grand Prix. Bertrand is such an exciting talent, he is only 19, he

:18:45. > :18:52.is very mature and calm under pressure. He came at the first day

:18:53. > :18:54.and won the speed leg without saluki no fear at all, he just went for it,

:18:55. > :19:12.he has got that total confidence in Himself. Yes, in his last ones,

:19:13. > :19:18.here, he won one and was runner-up in three. His feel for his horse,

:19:19. > :19:24.that was unlucky. The back rail, he is not the first one to have that,

:19:25. > :19:29.he's not going to be the last. Disappointed they will be with that

:19:30. > :19:45.four, Ireland are very much in the leading half dozen. That is Robert

:19:46. > :19:52.on the left. Here he is again, riding with so much belief, jumping

:19:53. > :19:58.after the water, very unlucky the fence that he had after the double,

:19:59. > :20:03.just slightly short of power. When they jumped that square one, the

:20:04. > :20:13.horse does not have a lot of pace, it is a tight stride and they need

:20:14. > :20:18.pure power to jump it. Now for Germany, he is a 33 roles, the

:20:19. > :20:26.rising star, the next generation of German show-jumpers. Big scope the

:20:27. > :20:34.grey horse, has already won the cup final this year, it is still very

:20:35. > :20:44.early days, I would not take too much notice of that at the moment.

:20:45. > :20:49.German champion both in 2013 and in 2014, he is based with somebody who

:20:50. > :20:54.always finds good riders, look at this, this is a combination on fire

:20:55. > :20:59.at the moment. Marcus Henning, a German rider with

:21:00. > :21:07.immaculate riding style. Just slightly finer

:21:08. > :21:14.type, a bit more blood. Just the most effortless jumper, certainly we

:21:15. > :21:18.want to see this combination fighting it out for the individual

:21:19. > :21:27.title right at the end of the competition this week. Just playing

:21:28. > :21:34.with this course at the moment, making it look ridiculously easily.

:21:35. > :21:41.The course has been set by the high-class French international

:21:42. > :21:51.designer. Lovely round. Lovely round. He only had 0.7 points

:21:52. > :22:10.yesterday. They already have a clear in the bag. Making their mark. What

:22:11. > :22:16.an elegant horse, he has got a lovely head, a lovely attitude,

:22:17. > :22:33.classic style, perfectly written. The German machine is starting to

:22:34. > :22:40.roll here. -- ridden. Well done, it went very well in the speed leg, he

:22:41. > :22:44.has now just got that score from yesterday, 0.7, so helping his team

:22:45. > :22:57.and standing very nicely in the individual. What a moment, 21 years

:22:58. > :23:04.old, he has written for the juniors and now he is riding for the

:23:05. > :23:09.seniors, Spencer Roe. He has been really helped as a young rider, by

:23:10. > :23:15.Andrew Sable and paper funnel, he is very much somebody who has benefited

:23:16. > :23:22.from lottery support for younger riders. He is stepping into Reiki

:23:23. > :23:26.round for Britain, number three for the team. He could do with a clear

:23:27. > :23:39.round for Great Britain, Spencer Roe. This horse has been produced,

:23:40. > :23:45.very difficult novice, he has matured now into a really good

:23:46. > :23:48.Nations cup horse. He reminds me a lot of Scott brash, he has got a lot

:23:49. > :23:58.of coolness and confidence about him. He is an old head on young

:23:59. > :24:03.shoulders. He is coming into the four stride distance now, so many

:24:04. > :24:08.riders have had trouble with this double, he has landed on the back

:24:09. > :24:16.rail, what a shame, just falling apart at the end of the course. So

:24:17. > :24:22.near, yet so far, he jumped a brilliant clear, to help Britain, to

:24:23. > :24:26.be second behind the Americans, but that falls really putting a nail in

:24:27. > :24:38.the Coffin for Britain, -- that full to. He did not quite stretch over

:24:39. > :24:48.that Oxo, it is able be defence, -- it is a big events, he lost his

:24:49. > :24:59.concentration, there is confirmation of another disappointing score I am

:25:00. > :25:07.afraid, it is a big ask of Spencer Roe, well now, to one of the queens

:25:08. > :25:13.of the sport. She is 50 years old, she has been top of the tree for a

:25:14. > :25:18.long time, she is still very much there, she won individual silver and

:25:19. > :25:24.team silver, in 2006 for the United States. She actually went on, to get

:25:25. > :25:29.team gold and individual silver at the Olympics in Hong Kong, she is

:25:30. > :25:35.still very much in the frame, she had a nasty shoulder injury, came

:25:36. > :25:39.back, to win the King 's cup at Hickstead, and the Americans,

:25:40. > :25:46.another one right in contention. It is a key round for America.

:25:47. > :26:01.Beautiful fluent style, and this horse fits so well with her style,

:26:02. > :26:05.he is amazing to watch. There is confirmation that the team

:26:06. > :26:11.competition is very much at the moment, Germany, the Netherlands,

:26:12. > :26:22.but it is all very close still. Britain I think, will be very pushed

:26:23. > :26:25.to get into the top ten. Another one of the world-class combinations

:26:26. > :26:33.making this track looks so simple. Well inside the time. And she has

:26:34. > :26:37.put the Americans very much in contention, many people have them as

:26:38. > :27:03.favourites and she has done nothing to take that thought away. And

:27:04. > :27:08.aren't the Americans happy? So here is the confirmation, very much in

:27:09. > :27:26.the individual again, of course the team is what they really after. Now

:27:27. > :27:32.for France, France just dropped off the pace, riders for the moment, can

:27:33. > :27:36.this man get them back, he finished second in the individual round,

:27:37. > :27:48.whether it is against the clock or not. Very much a senior rider in

:27:49. > :27:54.France, he is in the Sydney Olympic team, back in 2000, it is as good a

:27:55. > :28:01.team as he has ever had, riding so well, very unlucky in the World Cup

:28:02. > :28:09.final in France, but that is way behind him, he is very much in

:28:10. > :28:19.touch, ranked seventh in the world. The Orient express, another horse,

:28:20. > :28:23.very similar to big star, athletic ability comedy really powers the

:28:24. > :28:37.floor, they work really well together. He rides forward, typical

:28:38. > :28:43.French style, takes the fences on. He is lucky, he has had to move to

:28:44. > :28:52.the right, how has he jumped that? It should not be possible, it is

:28:53. > :28:58.unbelievable. And it is inside the time, and the team manager is very

:28:59. > :29:06.happy, he has put them back into contention, four teams within one

:29:07. > :29:20.fence. This is the second of the three legs that we are going to see

:29:21. > :29:24.for the team championship. This is quite extraordinary, when he came

:29:25. > :29:33.down the last line, he landed on the back rail, it bounced, then he's

:29:34. > :29:37.jinked to the right, and still, you can see the stress going on, you

:29:38. > :29:49.should not have been able to jump that but still he did. And he

:29:50. > :29:56.finishes on .08, he is the best score in the clubhouse. And he will

:29:57. > :30:03.remain so. This is the ice man from Sweden, he has won Olympic medals in

:30:04. > :30:04.Hong Kong, and titles in Madrid in 2011. Riding this wonderful

:30:05. > :30:16.stallion. Sweden just dropped off the pace in

:30:17. > :30:23.this round but this man, more than capable of getting it back. He went

:30:24. > :30:28.well in the speed leg. And a clear round here to add perhaps another

:30:29. > :30:35.medal to his tallies of Olympic, world and European medals. He is a

:30:36. > :30:45.master of producing horses for these championships. This horse getting on

:30:46. > :30:50.a bit now, 15 years old. Once they get to 15 years old. Once they get

:30:51. > :31:01.to their careers. He is a lovely big stallion. Big jump. Slightly cold

:31:02. > :31:13.horse but suits his way of riding. Very positive. Always at a great

:31:14. > :31:14.counter. -- canter. That was effortless, he is really an form

:31:15. > :31:30.today. He has kept Sweden in with a

:31:31. > :31:35.chance. He has jumped the clear that mattered. Another combination of

:31:36. > :31:42.horse and rider that are right in there. They will be fighting for the

:31:43. > :31:56.individual. Very much in the comfort zone all the way round.

:31:57. > :32:09.The team manager pleased with that performance. He just has Sweden

:32:10. > :32:15.hanging in there for the team. Now for the Netherlands. At the moment,

:32:16. > :32:21.the Netherlands the current leaders. They need this man to maintain that.

:32:22. > :32:31.The individual silver medal from the London Olympics. What a last two

:32:32. > :32:43.years this horse has had. They still need his score. Let me tell you. He

:32:44. > :32:47.owned this horse. The horse had to be sold and in came the current

:32:48. > :32:52.owner to buy this horse for the Olympic silver medal team. He must

:32:53. > :32:58.have inspired for it few months to say the least because this is a star

:32:59. > :33:06.combination. These two are made for each other. They talk about the

:33:07. > :33:13.money in the sport these days. He had to give over 8 million euros to

:33:14. > :33:17.buy the horse. It is fantastic for us, we get a chance to watch them

:33:18. > :33:22.together again at a Championship. He's cruising around here. Another

:33:23. > :33:30.horse with true Championship ability. He has that excellent level

:33:31. > :33:38.of scope, power and ability. Just a little touch there, nothing to worry

:33:39. > :33:41.about. Really motoring around. He is through. The Netherlands will take a

:33:42. > :33:47.very, very narrow lead into the final round. That final round will

:33:48. > :33:59.be close and exciting. But sadly, it will be without Great Britain.

:34:00. > :34:11.He is an form. He is focused and he has got the horse right. -- he is an

:34:12. > :34:29.on form. The man who helped Netherlands to a

:34:30. > :34:37.World Championship victory in 2006 has put them in contention again.

:34:38. > :34:44.Another clear round. Britain's Scott Brash now. What a difficult task for

:34:45. > :34:49.him. Britain not able to make it into the top ten. But a clear round

:34:50. > :35:00.might get him into the individual. He did not go that quickly in the

:35:01. > :35:03.first speed leg. 4.1 was his score. He needs a clear round to put

:35:04. > :35:12.himself in touch for the individual. Thanks to this great horse, Hello

:35:13. > :35:23.Sanctos, Scott Brash is currently the world number one. He had a fence

:35:24. > :35:29.down. And he is in the water, very uncharacteristic for Hello Sanctos.

:35:30. > :35:30.Opt a leg back. It really is not Britain's competition. It has been

:35:31. > :35:36.so disappointing. Scott Britain's competition. It has been

:35:37. > :35:41.used to coming to these championships and winning medals.

:35:42. > :35:46.used to coming to these The British hopes completely dashed

:35:47. > :35:52.now. There will be nobody more disappointed than Lady Harris and

:35:53. > :35:59.Lady Kirkham, the generous owners of this horse and others. It will be

:36:00. > :36:07.going from the grandstands from now on. They might get through. The team

:36:08. > :36:23.competition now, gone for Britain. There is only one way to describe

:36:24. > :36:31.this, hugely disappointing, and of character. Hello Sanctos dropping

:36:32. > :36:41.short. Had a couple of touches on the way round but jumped the rest of

:36:42. > :36:51.the fence is clear. You can see big disappointment on Scott Brash's

:36:52. > :36:58.face. Scott Brash, a dejected look on his way out. It is difficult to

:36:59. > :37:05.know what to say, huge commiserations for the team. What

:37:06. > :37:09.happened? It was not our day. We have to take positives out of the

:37:10. > :37:17.Championship. A couple of new horses in the team. They jumped

:37:18. > :37:24.fantastically. Little faults. Being green. It is just an experience. The

:37:25. > :37:28.horses will go on from here and be good Championship horses next few

:37:29. > :37:32.years. You have been there and done it, Michael, you were winning the

:37:33. > :37:40.gold medal last time you were in a Championship team, in hurling. Why

:37:41. > :37:46.do you think it has gone so wrong? Just not our day, as Scott said. We

:37:47. > :37:51.also had a good chance and these things happen. There is nothing you

:37:52. > :37:57.can do. You have to get on with it. What have you said to the lads? You

:37:58. > :38:06.won last time but you have been on losing teams as well. I thought they

:38:07. > :38:10.were all great. Joe's horse, he is super careful. Those mistakes were

:38:11. > :38:18.totally out of character. But these things happen is. Have you enjoyed

:38:19. > :38:23.it here? Not particularly. I have enjoyed the team spirit and the show

:38:24. > :38:29.but obviously I wanted to try to winter medals. Not enjoyed that side

:38:30. > :38:35.of it. But I have enjoyed the show. Spencer, you are so young, only 21.

:38:36. > :38:40.What has it been like for you? It has been a great honour. There are a

:38:41. > :38:49.lot positives can take away from this. First major Championship,

:38:50. > :38:55.hopefully I can progress from here. Great experience for my horses.

:38:56. > :39:01.Hopefully we will go on and do better things. This is an charted

:39:02. > :39:11.territory. The last two times at a major Championship for you, your

:39:12. > :39:16.team has won a gold medal. We are in a different part of the cycle now.

:39:17. > :39:22.Germany was in this part of the cycle in London. They have come back

:39:23. > :39:25.and they look really good here. Hopefully we will be back, we will

:39:26. > :39:31.read group and have a look at the horses we have got. We have the same

:39:32. > :39:35.riders as before. It is not as if we cannot ride any more. We are short

:39:36. > :39:39.of Championship horses and horses with experience. We have two new

:39:40. > :39:45.ones coming up and it will be exciting for next year. We will

:39:46. > :39:49.crack on next year. What can Britain do to have more top horses and keep

:39:50. > :39:56.them in the country? Stop selling them! And produce them. Encourage

:39:57. > :40:01.our owners to keep them. Scott, you finished within the top 50, do you

:40:02. > :40:06.know if you will be riding in the individual competition? I need to

:40:07. > :40:12.have a look and see the scores. It is a lot of jumping. If I do not

:40:13. > :40:16.think... With the right chance, I will not put my horse through all of

:40:17. > :40:21.that. It has been confirmed Scott Brash has been withdrawn from this

:40:22. > :40:26.individual showjumping competition. With no team or individuals, Britain

:40:27. > :40:34.is out of the World Equestrian Games showjumping. Scott Brash was down in

:40:35. > :40:39.36th place, no chance of an individual medal. I think it is a

:40:40. > :40:44.good decision. This horse is not getting any younger. We want him to

:40:45. > :40:49.be an British teams in the future. Did not really have a medal chance.

:40:50. > :40:52.Disappointing for British show jumping fans. We have been

:40:53. > :40:57.accustomed to medals. A lot of gold! With the team have done

:40:58. > :41:03.anything differently? I don't think they could have. We have been

:41:04. > :41:06.winning medals left, right and centre. The riders rode extremely

:41:07. > :41:11.well. They did not make many mistakes. The horses are not

:41:12. > :41:16.machines. Spencer Roe did really well in his first Championship.

:41:17. > :41:22.These horses were not quite up to the job and we have to accept that.

:41:23. > :41:26.What now for Team GB? They have to qualify for the Rio Olympics. I

:41:27. > :41:31.think they will. We have a lot of strength and depth that was not

:41:32. > :41:38.here, the likes of ten Maher, Nick Skelton will hopefully come back. --

:41:39. > :41:44.Ben Maher. We are disappointed at this stage but I am confident we

:41:45. > :41:46.will qualify for weird. It is still going on without the British team in

:41:47. > :41:51.it, who will win the team gold Ashton mark making predictions in

:41:52. > :41:56.showjumping at a terrible thing to do! The Germans look articulately

:41:57. > :42:01.strong. The Dutch and Americans also. Between those three, they are

:42:02. > :42:09.the ones to look out for. UI better hotfoot back to the commentary box.

:42:10. > :42:14.Andy just predicted Germany would do well. They are going for a record.

:42:15. > :42:19.They have already won the gold in the team dressage. They won the gold

:42:20. > :42:26.in the eventing, can they do the treble in Caen? It is time for the

:42:27. > :42:34.second part. Mike Tucker and Andy Austin are your commentators.

:42:35. > :42:44.COMMENTATOR: He will be the first to go.

:42:45. > :42:52.The Ukraine in 10th team place at the moment. This is their first of

:42:53. > :42:59.four riders. Four riders in the team, the top three to count.

:43:00. > :43:07.This horse was seen in Australia and New Zealand. It looked a good horse

:43:08. > :43:17.in those two countries. Now being ridden by this very talented rider.

:43:18. > :43:25.The main feature of this course, it is not the biggest, most testing

:43:26. > :43:29.course, but it is a very tight time and there are some quite interesting

:43:30. > :43:33.decisions the riders have to make about whether they keep going

:43:34. > :43:42.forward on six stride, do they put in seven? There is a four, five

:43:43. > :43:47.stroke distance between some jumps. The riders have to have a plan.

:43:48. > :43:54.Putting in an extra to your time and that is the feature of this course.

:43:55. > :44:06.-- putting in an extra stride and to your time. -- it adds to your time.

:44:07. > :44:19.He does get in the time but it is one down.

:44:20. > :44:27.No particular bogey fences on this course. All the way round, we have

:44:28. > :44:29.seen little fences nicked here and there, there is no part of the

:44:30. > :44:39.course causing any major upsets. there, there is no part of the

:44:40. > :44:48.There is confirmation. 7.14. For the first of the Ukraine team. Here is

:44:49. > :44:58.the young Irish man. Now based in America. He has been very impressive

:44:59. > :45:31.on his trip over to Europe. This is a Dutch bred horse.

:45:32. > :45:43.This style of riding on a stallion, really eating the ground, it is

:45:44. > :45:47.working very well for Kenny. Based in the States, he writes very much

:45:48. > :45:57.in the American way. Always flowing. He was lucky there.

:45:58. > :46:03.I think this competition will come down to some very fine margins and

:46:04. > :46:15.time faults will be crucial. He will get some. He gets one. Ireland were

:46:16. > :46:16.dropped down the leaderboard yesterday, but that put them back

:46:17. > :46:37.up. This is a lovely round, he kept

:46:38. > :46:41.flowing, he shows the ability to jump the middle of the combination

:46:42. > :46:48.which is a big stretch. A bit unlucky to get the time faults. That

:46:49. > :46:53.extra dimension we have not seen all week, is definitely playing its

:46:54. > :47:01.part. Robert getting very activated. You can never be

:47:02. > :47:09.disappointed when the horse jumps clear but those niggling time faults

:47:10. > :47:17.can be crucial. There confirmation, 8.82. Sweden now. It is the first of

:47:18. > :47:34.their riders. They won bronze in the Europeans

:47:35. > :47:57.last year. This man had three down yesterday and was a discard score.

:47:58. > :48:05.He is riding for his life here. Really going for it. Squeezing his

:48:06. > :48:07.horse up between hands and legs, lifting him off the floor. A lot of

:48:08. > :48:20.determination. As you say Mike, three fences down

:48:21. > :48:27.yesterday, but this is a much better effort so far.

:48:28. > :48:41.These are the days Andy, when they come into their own, they read the

:48:42. > :48:48.riot act to their riders. Could time faults play a part here? 12.92. Plus

:48:49. > :49:04.one for that time faults. Terrific round. He has put the

:49:05. > :49:08.him. He has jumped a clear round. He has one time faults but after

:49:09. > :49:12.yesterday, look at the way he has worked here. Lifting his horse up,

:49:13. > :49:24.squeezing every last drop out of him. Now it is Yann Candele for

:49:25. > :49:34.Canada. He was born in France. He is in trouble there. He got Canadian

:49:35. > :49:41.citizenship and is now very much part of the Canadian team. Canada at

:49:42. > :49:45.the moment in sixth place. A score of 14. The leading nation currently

:49:46. > :50:06.the Netherlands. He stayed cool, Yann Candele,

:50:07. > :50:08.because that was a horrible moment. Sitting back on the oxer, I thought

:50:09. > :50:21.he was going to tip up at one stage. This horse is well capable of

:50:22. > :50:25.jumping round here. But there is a little thing called pressure Andy!

:50:26. > :50:35.And these riders are certainly feeling it. He has got himself back

:50:36. > :50:43.together. Good round. Good recovery. Part of the Eric Lamaze team. There

:50:44. > :50:46.he is at the back and he really pulled themselves together. Just a

:50:47. > :51:00.fence down in the end. Had to get the whip out, did not get

:51:01. > :51:08.the comp option. Horrible when that happens. At brilliant recovery.

:51:09. > :51:28.It will put the pressure on the rest of the Canadian team.

:51:29. > :51:35.Canada were in sixth place. We are going in reverse order of merit, now

:51:36. > :51:43.it is the turn of Brazil, they made a brilliant recovery yesterday. They

:51:44. > :51:49.had a bad first day but they put the 31-year-old Pedro, who is ranked

:51:50. > :52:07.152in the world. He jumped in Hong Kong and has

:52:08. > :52:21.immediately a fence down. Brazil, in fifth, on that score of 12.95.

:52:22. > :52:28.It is very interesting, that second fence coming down quite often. It is

:52:29. > :52:33.an unusual oxer with green filler on the floor underneath it instead of

:52:34. > :52:38.blue trade. A lot of the horses looking into it and having the front

:52:39. > :52:44.rail down. Every time they have a dense down, it is four faults. And

:52:45. > :52:49.they get one penalty for every four seconds over the time allowed of 80.

:52:50. > :52:53.The two things we are looking for, the fences coming down, getting

:52:54. > :53:01.inside the time of 80 seconds, which is proving tough.

:53:02. > :53:08.For those of you not used to riding around a set of show jumps, it is

:53:09. > :53:10.difficult to be put under that pressure, to write quickly. But this

:53:11. > :53:15.one comfortable inside the time. -- pressure, to write quickly. But this

:53:16. > :53:30.to ride quickly. That second fence, very square oxer,

:53:31. > :53:33.it has been causing problems. Whether it is the green brush

:53:34. > :53:41.underneath it... Different colours are used to

:53:42. > :53:49.confuse the horses and it seems to be working there. That score

:53:50. > :53:59.confirmed, 11.39. Canada and Brazil have both had one down.

:54:00. > :54:09.And it will not surprise you at home to hear that the next team is

:54:10. > :54:32.France. As there is the other teams warming up. That is Germany's first.

:54:33. > :54:51.On the left, the French manager and a very effective one as well. He is

:54:52. > :55:00.from Switzerland. This is the first rider to go for France. The horse is

:55:01. > :55:06.ten years old. He was the 19th individual in London. France, 18

:55:07. > :55:12.that did not qualify for the second round. But he went very well in

:55:13. > :55:16.Paris. To really clinch his place in the French team here. France won the

:55:17. > :55:23.silver medal four years ago hind Germany. -- behind Germany. We saw

:55:24. > :55:28.the British team Germany. -- behind Germany. We saw

:55:29. > :55:30.their home turf in London and these riders, is it home advantage or more

:55:31. > :55:40.pressure? The pressure telling Bae. riders, is it home advantage or more

:55:41. > :55:46.-- there. The French crowd are really on the edge of their seats it

:55:47. > :55:53.is good to identify that pressure. One fence between the top three.

:55:54. > :55:58.France just behind in fourth place. Just a little bit more than a fence

:55:59. > :56:04.behind. They will have to discard this score if they going to get into

:56:05. > :56:10.the medals. They need clear rounds. Three of the riders out of the four

:56:11. > :56:17.to count. Time, very good indeed, safely in but it is one down. Four

:56:18. > :56:29.to add for France. The pressure is definitely being turned up.

:56:30. > :56:35.These first-team riders, they are setting the tone for the afternoon.

:56:36. > :56:39.This was an unlucky fence. It came down, middle part of the

:56:40. > :56:46.combination, it bounced in the cut, was not going to stay. Everybody

:56:47. > :56:51.leaping about. Those four faults putting a lot of pressure on the

:56:52. > :56:55.French riders to come. Confirmation, 9.6. The individual score of this

:56:56. > :57:11.rider. Rider has been the world number one.

:57:12. > :57:19.-- this rider. Yesterday, he was cruising around on this world-class

:57:20. > :57:24.horse. German style. He sits deep in the saddle. Long stirrups and

:57:25. > :57:29.long-range. He does it all his own way. But he had that fence down

:57:30. > :57:33.yesterday. He has added a stride which you would not expect to see on

:57:34. > :57:43.this horse. He has put five in there which puts pressure on the time.

:57:44. > :57:52.He is adding up again. Jumping very cleanly but he will have to move on.

:57:53. > :58:02.Trying to cut in as tight as possible here. The fence he had

:58:03. > :58:10.yesterday was right towards the end of the course. The back rail of an

:58:11. > :58:18.oxer. A clear round would definitely turn the wick up and it is game on.

:58:19. > :58:27.Very comfortable there. He is just about going to be OK for time. What

:58:28. > :58:32.a cool customer, what a cool customer. The German flags are

:58:33. > :58:39.flying. Is this the start of them retaining their world title? 5.3,

:58:40. > :58:54.two Germany. The Germans have been invincible,

:58:55. > :58:59.dressage and eventing. They are on course again here. Three incredibly

:59:00. > :59:07.strong rider still to come. They have jumped a clear round.

:59:08. > :59:15.It is looking pretty ominous. The Germans really are favourites now.

:59:16. > :59:26.Job done. He has gone clear. That is his individual score, 5.32. More

:59:27. > :59:36.importantly for Germany, they stay on their score.

:59:37. > :59:45.United States of America now. Very talented Ward, Olympic gold

:59:46. > :59:52.medallist. And that is an early mistake. The Americans have been on

:59:53. > :59:56.the European circuit, looking mistake. The Americans have been on

:59:57. > :00:04.wonderful. They won two major Nations Cups. That is a

:00:05. > :00:11.disappointing sense for the Americans. -- a disappointing

:00:12. > :00:32.fence. He has got to really cut round the

:00:33. > :00:37.corners, at this stage, the Americans with that fence down, the

:00:38. > :00:59.Germans have gone clear. Really need some clear rounds. Well he holds his

:01:00. > :01:11.nerve as you would expect, such a big winner for America. His score

:01:12. > :01:16.moves on to 6.56, and the Americans remember, a team of four, three to

:01:17. > :01:24.count, will that be the discount school? It is fascinating why that

:01:25. > :01:28.second fences jumping so badly. Unusual to have a green filler on

:01:29. > :01:33.the ground, a big contrast to the colour of the surface itself, a lot

:01:34. > :01:45.of experienced sources, pumping it out. Outcomes ward, still to come,

:01:46. > :01:56.are the other American riders. They have lost one fence already. Now to

:01:57. > :02:02.the team leading overnight. The Dutch. The Dutch, who won the world

:02:03. > :02:09.title, beating the Germans on their home ground in 2006, that was a huge

:02:10. > :02:22.achievement and the man to kick them off, the 2000 Olympic champion, now

:02:23. > :02:33.riding this horse. The first to go for the Netherlands, he is only on

:02:34. > :02:43.1.25, and the Netherlands leading at the moment as a team. As you say,

:02:44. > :02:48.this horse produced in Britain, it is such a shame to see horses of

:02:49. > :02:53.this calibre leaving Britain, you can see that we are desperately

:02:54. > :02:58.short of true world-class forces, this one is, just coming up to the

:02:59. > :03:03.level now, a tenure rod who can really show himself but he has

:03:04. > :03:10.faulted there, that is the first time he has faulted so far this

:03:11. > :03:16.week. I thought it was two fences down but it is only one. Yes rattled

:03:17. > :03:24.for a moment, just showed a bit of inexperience, he seems to have got

:03:25. > :03:40.it back together now. So out of the top teams so far, only the German

:03:41. > :03:47.rider going clear. I think in tennis terms you would say first set to the

:03:48. > :03:55.Germans, and he has got daytime faults to add to that, 6.25 is what

:03:56. > :04:03.he goes on to, more importantly, he gives Germany a bit of an open door.

:04:04. > :04:08.Just giving them a bit of a breathing space, he is disappointed,

:04:09. > :04:14.this horse has jumped Brenkley. We breathing space, he is disappointed,

:04:15. > :04:26.are back, it is the team captain as it were, for the Ukraine. He has

:04:27. > :04:31.persuaded riders to come and take Ukrainian citizenship, but now he

:04:32. > :04:58.has raised his own game and got into the team writing this Dutch bred

:04:59. > :05:03.horse, 11.56, with one fence down. The horse struggling to get the

:05:04. > :05:13.shoulders up over these big square boxes. We have seen the last bunch

:05:14. > :05:16.of riders over the top teams, just making the course look relatively

:05:17. > :05:21.easy, this is a tough course, a couple of the

:05:22. > :05:31.boxes, are very wide. I think that he is probably, close to the time.

:05:32. > :05:45.He is just about there, he is going to get the time short as well. Two

:05:46. > :06:00.fences down. The Ukrainians will want to discard that score. This

:06:01. > :06:05.man, he won on the first day, the Ireland number two, a good winner on

:06:06. > :06:11.the first day when time was involved, just one unlucky fence

:06:12. > :06:19.down yesterday for this horse, he could do with another clear round.

:06:20. > :06:24.Then they would start to climb. We have already told you that no

:06:25. > :06:29.British interest in terms of the riders, bred in Hampshire, again, it

:06:30. > :06:37.is such a shame to lose horses of this calibre to the competition. We

:06:38. > :06:43.will support the Irish lad comic is such an exciting talent, he is only

:06:44. > :06:53.19, --, he is such. Winning in Dublin, he has just nicked that

:06:54. > :06:59.fence. Yes, Marcus Henning helps, it can't you see his riding style in

:07:00. > :07:07.him? Yes, to be so mature and cool under pressure at the age of 19 is

:07:08. > :07:11.really something. That first day, he came out and he really went for it

:07:12. > :07:23.in the speed section, he came out with his nose in front. One to jump.

:07:24. > :07:40.The last, inside the time, it is a score of four, still to come, two

:07:41. > :07:46.more of the Irish riders. Well it is such a shame, just that one down for

:07:47. > :08:01.him, he has been interethnic form, it is an unusual fence, he did not

:08:02. > :08:05.quite get the height. Now it is Sweden, a very successful

:08:06. > :08:21.international rider. Again, that fence goes down. It is nip and tuck,

:08:22. > :08:29.between the Irish in eighth, and the Swedes in seventh. It is always

:08:30. > :08:34.fascinating from the horse 's point of view, when they have that second

:08:35. > :08:41.fence down, they don't make a slight mistake, they really do hate it

:08:42. > :08:56.course hitting. A very good course designer, very closely working to

:08:57. > :09:01.get the right balance to the course, it was to be a British course

:09:02. > :09:30.Builder. But his wife sadly had an accident. Well inside the time, well

:09:31. > :09:33.again, proper mistake, that taking the horse

:09:34. > :10:01.'s I off the jump. Tiffani Foster. It is a horse that used to be rid by

:10:02. > :10:08.an Italian rider. Tiffani had two down yesterday, and they cannot

:10:09. > :10:27.afford that. Tiffani Foster, the second rider, another one based,

:10:28. > :10:33.with the great Eric. Another change of mind, it looked as if Tiffani was

:10:34. > :10:47.not sure she would go on the six or seven, it really distracted him.

:10:48. > :11:01.Flowing around the rest of the course very comfortably, this horse

:11:02. > :11:10.is hugely successful. That is expensive. It has gone. And a time

:11:11. > :11:19.faults, that is really not the score that Canada wanted. That will want

:11:20. > :11:26.to be the important discard score for Canada. You can see the hands

:11:27. > :11:29.moving, a lot of pulling, it is not going to work

:11:30. > :11:39.. Brazil, one of their senior talents, he had a desperate start

:11:40. > :11:43.yesterday, a Brit clear round yesterday. A man who has won bronze

:11:44. > :12:10.medals at the Olympics. Riding a very experienced

:12:11. > :12:11.horse. What can he do for Brazil. Modern showjumping is influenced by

:12:12. > :12:14.some fabulous Stallions. There are several

:12:15. > :12:26.stallions that featured time and time again.

:12:27. > :12:48.Really, these top stallions, making their mark. That one has gone. Just

:12:49. > :13:04.a little bit flat. Four coming to the last. And four it is. Now just a

:13:05. > :13:19.little bit off, slightly forward, and those

:13:20. > :13:38.poles come down. Well, I suspect you have guessed, it is France. It is

:13:39. > :13:48.their leading lady, one of the best riders in the world. She had for

:13:49. > :13:55.faults yesterday, a very good first round, France through Amber are

:13:56. > :14:04.fourth -- France are fourth. As she sets off. Their first rider had one

:14:05. > :14:13.fence down. They need to have a good ride if they are to get into these

:14:14. > :14:22.top medals. This is such an exciting horse, a little horse with a big

:14:23. > :14:33.engine. So similar. Distinctive chestnut, running at the fences with

:14:34. > :14:43.their head up. She has added a stride, a big disagreement, a great

:14:44. > :14:50.recovery. The crowd were holding their breath because that looked

:14:51. > :14:56.like a disaster about to happen. Winning the silver medal four years

:14:57. > :15:05.ago, behind the Germans in Lexington. Just add the what one

:15:06. > :15:14.fence down yesterday. She is quick enough. She stays clear, a bit of

:15:15. > :15:28.improvisation. Varies the -- there is the last rider for

:15:29. > :15:44.France. He will have all of the pressure. What a superstar, complete

:15:45. > :15:50.disagreement between horse and rider, lost the rhythm and the

:15:51. > :15:54.balance, what a superstar, she was not going to have the middle part of

:15:55. > :16:02.that combination down, let up into the air. Quite rightly, she is

:16:03. > :16:08.delighted with her. White she knows only too well that the horse got her

:16:09. > :16:23.out of the mischief. That is the lovely grey horse, of Marcus getting

:16:24. > :16:25.underway. Germany, third overnight. A clear round would really begin to

:16:26. > :16:39.make them look like a very good that indeed. If you compare this

:16:40. > :16:47.horse to a car it has got a massive eat world under the bonnet, it is so

:16:48. > :16:53.explosive. That is a ridiculous jump for a horse. To make that look so

:16:54. > :17:02.small. He is slightly deliberate in the way that he moves, Marcus

:17:03. > :17:06.normally can keep on flowing around to get the time. This one has won

:17:07. > :17:21.Olympic gold, several European golds. And a world gold four years

:17:22. > :17:25.ago. We have got one German and clear already. And he has had a

:17:26. > :17:38.fence! as opened it up, because that could

:17:39. > :17:44.be crucial, there was only one mark at the start of the day between

:17:45. > :17:50.Germany and their opponents. That has certainly put the cat among the

:17:51. > :18:03.pigeons. That is five then. That is extraordinary. Looking to be so

:18:04. > :18:10.comfortable, he took it on, it was a long and flat stride, hitting it

:18:11. > :18:14.hard, a time faults as well. That is the crucial bit I suspect, the next

:18:15. > :18:19.rider for the Netherlands, the leading team, the next man to take

:18:20. > :18:35.the pressure on the shoulders. A huge winner in the

:18:36. > :18:41.United States of impressive, now he's looking to put a clear round in

:18:42. > :18:46.hand steady the ship. Ken Farrington, second for the United

:18:47. > :18:49.States, the Americans need a clear round. To really put the pressure

:18:50. > :19:08.on. To keep them in touch of Silver. He had got that quick way of

:19:09. > :19:11.riding, this horse, massive jump. He did just have a fence down yesterday

:19:12. > :19:22.that he probably should not have had. Just showing down the

:19:23. > :19:35.combination, how fabulously talented he is. Difficult line to the second

:19:36. > :19:43.last, Tuesday goes six cult -- do they go six, do they go seven? He is

:19:44. > :19:47.running tight to that water tray. That more drama.

:19:48. > :19:57.running tight to that water tray. steady it. He keeps coming to that

:19:58. > :20:06.vertical. He pops the last, the time is all right, Robert Redland will be

:20:07. > :20:13.disappointed, he is a star international and now the new head

:20:14. > :20:21.of the team. That is fascinating, very few, he really hit it quite

:20:22. > :20:25.hard in front, that is a proper mistake. , the atmosphere is

:20:26. > :20:38.amazing, you can hear the crowd. It is not bigger

:20:39. > :20:44.than sometimes, but the pressure is really big, it was perfect for

:20:45. > :20:57.myself and the horse but in the end, it was unlucky. Now the Netherlands.

:20:58. > :21:11.Michael, 26 years old, part of that silver medal team. He jumped a very

:21:12. > :21:17.good clear round yesterday. They had a fence down, and a time faults.

:21:18. > :21:31.That has definitely got to be their discount score. A very experienced

:21:32. > :21:34.combination two. He is quite difficult in the mouth. He rides

:21:35. > :21:43.down hill, you 's and fights for his head. But he has got all of the

:21:44. > :21:52.jump. Just towards the end of the course you will get quite strong. He

:21:53. > :22:03.is a big long forced to hold together. A lot of daylight between

:22:04. > :22:09.them. He squeaked through that one, this is where he can get a bit

:22:10. > :22:22.strong and flat. He is a bit heavy in the hand. He is still clear. It

:22:23. > :22:27.goes, he knows that things are not looking great for the Dutch. Two

:22:28. > :22:38.fences down, one for each if you just have a look at how hard

:22:39. > :22:42.it is, he really had to pick it up, he is getting heavy in the hand

:22:43. > :22:46.comedy could not quite hold it together to jump last fence. Look at

:22:47. > :22:57.that . It is still very close? It is

:22:58. > :23:03.still very close, everything is still possible, one more clear round

:23:04. > :23:16.so far. We have two look further and see how far we can get. And now the

:23:17. > :23:22.Richmond, Denis Lynch, with all staff five. Dennis, another of the

:23:23. > :23:28.Irish riders, who rides out of Ireland, getting some very good

:23:29. > :23:39.results. He has won the Aachen Grand Prix, one of the greatest Grand Prix

:23:40. > :23:43.in the world. That was a good round. They were in eighth place and they

:23:44. > :23:55.want a clear round from Denis Lynch now. A lot of the riders are putting

:23:56. > :24:01.in seven strides, this massively powerful horse, Dennis was actually

:24:02. > :24:08.holding him for six. That gives you some idea of how much

:24:09. > :24:11.holding him for six. That gives you under the bonnet. Before the day

:24:12. > :24:20.started, Sweden was one place above them. They both had one fence down.

:24:21. > :24:24.Absolutely neck and neck. Attacking the course, he has taken the stride

:24:25. > :24:39.down to the water play, very quick round. Good round from Denis Lynch.

:24:40. > :24:47.He gets that clear round. It might just put Ireland in the box seat.

:24:48. > :24:53.Still to come, Cameron. This is one way to ride the track, he just kept

:24:54. > :25:00.kicking, it shocked him into jumping even better, it looked really good.

:25:01. > :25:05.The Irish lads jumping up and down. I think that they jumped clear

:25:06. > :25:15.around. I think they did. That is looking good, and the experienced

:25:16. > :25:25.Cameron had to come. Now it is Canada. Canada, the great Ian

:25:26. > :25:36., he has ridden to so many Grand Prix victories, at 67 he is still

:25:37. > :25:47.riding as well as ever. He had a fence down yesterday, a little bit

:25:48. > :25:53.unlucky. Just to put that into some kind of perspective, we have got a

:25:54. > :26:00.19-year-old, this man is 50 years old. What a sport showjumping is,

:26:01. > :26:04.but he is quite an athlete, unless you are fit you cannot do that. One

:26:05. > :26:09.of the things that seems to have made a big difference, he has had

:26:10. > :26:13.his eyes lasered, he used to ride with glasses and he does not now,

:26:14. > :26:23.that seems to have given him a new lease of life. And he just had one

:26:24. > :26:29.unlucky fence yesterday. Just one at the moment. A clear round for Denis

:26:30. > :26:33.unlucky fence yesterday. Just one at Lynch and that is another gone and

:26:34. > :26:41.that gives Ireland a chance of going up ahead of Canada as well. Two down

:26:42. > :26:45.then, and that is eight they could have done without but they are going

:26:46. > :26:50.to count that, at least 12 penalties at the moment. One of the most

:26:51. > :27:01.annoying ways of having a fence down, is when the horse just drops

:27:02. > :27:07.the front seat, -- the front feet. The 13 penalties of Tiffany Foster

:27:08. > :27:14.is the one that they want to discard, with one rider to come. On

:27:15. > :27:22.we go, to the 20 Six Rd from Brazil. -- 26-year-old. He's actually ranked

:27:23. > :27:33.62 in the world. He is certainly one of emerging stars. It is now the

:27:34. > :27:41.third rider for Brazil. Brazil who made that brilliant recovery after a

:27:42. > :27:47.terrible start, maintaining their position, which was fifth. They want

:27:48. > :27:58.the clear from this man, jumping a very good clear. Top jockey, and

:27:59. > :28:05.this, is a great opportunity for him riding a horse of this calibre,

:28:06. > :28:21.really, he has worked his way, the hard way into this position, he is a

:28:22. > :28:25.fabulous rider. This horse, is a horse with a lot of scope. Cruising

:28:26. > :28:37.round the course so far, looking good. Very comfortable, keeping

:28:38. > :28:47.coming forward to the second last. Just inside the time. The style, the

:28:48. > :28:58.mastermind of the Brazilians, all over that round. And, really he has

:28:59. > :29:06.kept Brazil in this. And then now, actually, on the edge of perhaps

:29:07. > :29:11.creeping into the bronze. John Morris, the French trainer, in those

:29:12. > :29:23.bright blue pants. Look at that. They are kissing him. Next for

:29:24. > :29:32.France. Last man in, coming into position to watch his trump card.

:29:33. > :29:37.For France, the European Champion in 2009. A man who played such an

:29:38. > :29:50.important part in France winning the silver four years ago. France at the

:29:51. > :29:58.moment, four for each of their last two riders. Can he put France back

:29:59. > :30:05.in with a chance at bronze? That was lucky. There was grasping from the

:30:06. > :30:15.crowd, he got away with that. We have seen him win the European

:30:16. > :30:27.Championships at Windsor, if few years back. He is working down a

:30:28. > :30:39.combination though. He won the big Ron prix in Paris. -- Grand Prix.

:30:40. > :30:46.He is not hanging about, very determined to get inside the time.

:30:47. > :31:00.He is stretching there, he seemed to be too far off it. Just the last.

:31:01. > :31:03.Great run! Great run! The European champion of 2009 showing why he has

:31:04. > :31:06.been the world number one on several occasions in the last few years. And

:31:07. > :31:26.the French are roaring. There is the pressure. He has

:31:27. > :31:31.handled it. He had to work quite hard, down the combination, he was

:31:32. > :31:38.kicking and pulling. He has done the job and got the clear round. He has

:31:39. > :31:53.done his job. Two clear rounds and one for Fox. Now it is the German

:31:54. > :32:01.combination. They won the World Cup final in great form. He's second

:32:02. > :32:09.individual at the moment, he has jumped two clear rounds, can he

:32:10. > :32:12.jumped a third? This horse is certainly one of the pundits's

:32:13. > :32:17.favourites to be a champion this week. He certainly needs to come up

:32:18. > :32:25.with a clear round now. We had an unexpected five faults on the other

:32:26. > :32:32.horse, but not to be. Will we see the Germans falling apart? Not what

:32:33. > :32:38.we expected. It is definitely advantage France. Height

:32:39. > :32:48.extraordinary. Marcus faulting and now Daniel. -- quite extraordinary.

:32:49. > :32:57.Germany with two of the fences down and one clear round. They have got

:32:58. > :33:02.the clear round, their first rider. He have to jump this last fence to

:33:03. > :33:09.keep it on four. A disappointment for the Germans. It could be an

:33:10. > :33:16.expensive four. That might be a crucial penalty.

:33:17. > :33:25.Just proving they are not machines. This is one of the best horses in

:33:26. > :33:28.the world. Did not release snap up through the shoulders. Tall

:33:29. > :33:37.verticals. Any of these horses can fault at any time. Here is one of

:33:38. > :33:47.the youngest riders in this Championship, Lucy Davis.

:33:48. > :34:01.She needs to produce a clear round. This horse is trained by Meredith

:34:02. > :34:07.Michaels and her husband. They will have had an interesting talk.

:34:08. > :34:21.America in need of a clear round. They were second at the start.

:34:22. > :34:31.Another brilliant, pleasure jumping horse. Really stamping his mark on

:34:32. > :34:41.these modern horses. It suits the lady riders. Liked off the floor.

:34:42. > :34:47.Incredibly athletic. -- light off the floor. America looked like the

:34:48. > :34:58.on form team to beat in recent weeks. A clear round not coming up.

:34:59. > :35:04.She needs to leave that. Now the Americans have got three on four.

:35:05. > :35:12.They have got to add at least eight to their score. That definitely got

:35:13. > :35:21.that there is Meredith. That fence at the end, disappointing. It is a

:35:22. > :35:30.long way round, this course. The horses have to stay so careful and

:35:31. > :35:31.balanced. We are getting some drama. A lot of responsibility on Beezie

:35:32. > :35:44.Madden, their last. The course is very difficult.

:35:45. > :35:49.Unfortunately, I had four faults. It cost us and we have to see. Still

:35:50. > :35:55.very close. Everything is very close. We knew that before we went

:35:56. > :36:00.into the last round. At the moment, we have already nine points. We are

:36:01. > :36:07.looking at doing a little better. Germany going for the historic

:36:08. > :36:12.treble. Is that something you have been thinking about? Absolutely, of

:36:13. > :36:15.course. The goal was to win from the beginning. We are a little bit

:36:16. > :36:28.behind at the moment but still one rider to go.

:36:29. > :36:39.How is this man's nerves? He has been Dutch champion before. He was

:36:40. > :36:41.in the silver medal team in London. He will need all of that skill and

:36:42. > :36:58.more. The two previous riders had fences

:36:59. > :37:03.down. This rider has looked the weakest link in the Dutch team so

:37:04. > :37:22.far. He is a good pro, he will be working very hard.

:37:23. > :37:30.It is the three best teams scores to count. They can discard the worst

:37:31. > :37:38.score. He is in trouble they're coming he got too close to that. The

:37:39. > :37:43.horse looking a bit strong and a bit tired. When they get heavy in hand,

:37:44. > :37:51.you have physically pick them up. Come on, just the last to jump. The

:37:52. > :37:57.team manager has read the riot act and it has worked. He has pulled

:37:58. > :38:04.that clear and the bag they have got one to jump and they could discard

:38:05. > :38:10.Jerome's score. The Dutch could still hang in there. Our maths will

:38:11. > :38:16.need some brushing up towards the end. This man was riding for his

:38:17. > :38:20.life. His horse got tired at the end but the rider was so determined. He

:38:21. > :38:27.literally picked his horse up and threw him over the last couple of

:38:28. > :38:30.jumps. One clear round. The only team that has got two clear rounds

:38:31. > :38:38.where it really mattered is the French.

:38:39. > :38:43.You definitely feel the pressure and once I got in the ring, I knew what

:38:44. > :38:47.had to be done and they gave it my best shot. I was unlucky at the end,

:38:48. > :38:52.I wish we could have gone clear. My horse jumped super and we have to

:38:53. > :38:57.work even more pressure on Beezie Madden to see if we can get a medal.

:38:58. > :39:04.The two rounds for your Dutch colleagues before you and you rode

:39:05. > :39:11.beautifully. Thank you. The riders were a little unlucky, before me,

:39:12. > :39:21.especially Michael. It is very close. It is very close.

:39:22. > :39:31.We are back with the Ukraine. Very talented rider, she used to ride for

:39:32. > :39:36.Germany, was the leading rider for Germany but then did not get picked

:39:37. > :39:42.for the team and so moved to the Ukraine. The Ukraine, currently just

:39:43. > :40:01.hanging in there in 10th place. Another big, grey horse. We have

:40:02. > :40:10.seen a couple of those horses that were well fancied to go clear and

:40:11. > :40:19.they both faulted. She added a stride, she will have to watch the

:40:20. > :40:27.time. Remind you of the Ukrainian scores. The first rider, 13, the

:40:28. > :40:34.second on nine. They will have to count that. The third one on four.

:40:35. > :40:39.Landed very heavily on that count that. The third one on four.

:40:40. > :40:45.rail, the horse getting tired. The shape of the jump goes... And again.

:40:46. > :40:56.She clears the last but she has got big-time fault. They will add nine.

:40:57. > :41:00.The top three scores will be 22. The horses are a bit tired now, a bit

:41:01. > :41:24.short of scope and the balance goes, they get heavy in your hand.

:41:25. > :41:37.The last for Ireland. How good it is to see Cameron back in the top end

:41:38. > :41:44.of the world. He has had one down, that is bad news for Ireland. He had

:41:45. > :41:46.the back rail that oxer, we have seen plenty of horses thumping the

:41:47. > :42:01.front row out but not the back one. These horses always sharp jumpers,

:42:02. > :42:20.can be a little temperamental but very talented.

:42:21. > :42:24.We sought Dennis lynch produced that incredible clear round. -- we saw

:42:25. > :42:44.Dennis Lynch. Still on four faults and he just

:42:45. > :42:49.held his breath and dropped the back end into that oxer, second part of

:42:50. > :42:58.the double. Just over the time as well. So he gets nine, one-time

:42:59. > :43:00.fault. That will be there discarded score. It looks as though they will

:43:01. > :43:18.add five to their score. There is Cameron with his second

:43:19. > :43:30.fence down, coming out of the double.

:43:31. > :43:37.This rider has picked the Swedish team out of the fire on more than

:43:38. > :43:46.one occasion. Individually, silver medal in Hong Kong. European

:43:47. > :43:56.champion in 2011. Team Ron 's medal last year. -- bronze medal. Sweden

:43:57. > :44:08.at the moment. They have had one each at the fence from previous

:44:09. > :44:11.riders. They need a clear. This rider really comes alive during

:44:12. > :44:15.championships. He saves his horses for them. A great history of

:44:16. > :44:29.producing his best when it really matters. 15 years old, this horse.

:44:30. > :44:30.He has been jumping well this week. He seems to have found an extra

:44:31. > :44:51.gear. Belying his years. Super-clean there, taking the

:44:52. > :44:54.forward stride into the second last. And he has done it, he is clear. He

:44:55. > :45:08.is such a good man under pressure. Absolutely driving the horse all the

:45:09. > :45:16.way. As nothing. The Swedes will look to be adding five. We said he

:45:17. > :45:20.likes championships. He has done it again, producing a clear round, not

:45:21. > :45:25.a fence down so far during this competition. Went very well

:45:26. > :45:29.individually in the speed and he has got another clear round here. He is

:45:30. > :45:50.pleased with that. I think we will just probably missed

:45:51. > :45:57.it by one place. Disappointing, just like the British. You did better

:45:58. > :46:04.than the British team. Do you feel it has been worthwhile? Everybody

:46:05. > :46:09.made a good contribution. We have had some unlucky faults. There was a

:46:10. > :46:20.particularly unlucky one yesterday. The great Eric Lamaze, Olympic

:46:21. > :47:11.champion of 2008. Hickstead was a very hot, very sharp

:47:12. > :47:15.horse, always pulling and fighting. Eric Lamaze has proved he can ride

:47:16. > :47:18.lots of different types of horses. This horse is improving, still only

:47:19. > :47:39.ten years old. He is cruising on nicely round. This

:47:40. > :47:48.is where the horses tend to get tired. The riders have to do their

:47:49. > :47:58.work here. Brilliantly ridden. Forward option. He might just get a

:47:59. > :48:08.time fault, and he has. How important is that? Five to add for

:48:09. > :48:19.Eric Lamaze. Their best three scores in this round take them up to 17

:48:20. > :48:22.more. That would put them on 31. Great effort from Eric Lamaze, just

:48:23. > :48:33.unlucky coming out of the combination.

:48:34. > :48:41.There are some key instructions to the last rider for France, from

:48:42. > :48:49.Kevin Capulet grossed out. France are in with a chance of gold,

:48:50. > :49:07.they really are. Brazil now, the great Olympic

:49:08. > :49:22.champion of 2004. World champion of 1998. A very skilled young man,

:49:23. > :49:28.riding this new exciting young horse Status.

:49:29. > :49:45.He really is a chip off the old start of the day.

:49:46. > :49:51.He really is a chip off the old block. Anyone old enough to remember

:49:52. > :49:55.his father Nelson, riding, he was one of the first riders in the world

:49:56. > :50:05.to adopt this modern, stylish way of writing. Roderigo is so fantastic to

:50:06. > :50:16.watch. He sits immaculately on his horse. It is great to see him back

:50:17. > :50:20.at this level with Status. He has had a bit of a bad time of it, this

:50:21. > :50:30.last ten years. He is a proper Championship rider. Beautifully done

:50:31. > :50:43.through the double. A little bit of a Robert there, it stayed up and he

:50:44. > :50:58.has done it. -- a little bit of a rub. That means Brazil have actually

:50:59. > :51:04.just got four account. -- to count. That is one of the best rounds we

:51:05. > :51:09.have seen. Totally smooth. Always in rhythm and always in balance,

:51:10. > :51:10.totally in control of the situation. The Brazilian contingent, leaping up

:51:11. > :51:31.and down. What a round that was. Fantastic. They finish on 16.95. And

:51:32. > :51:45.that is guaranteeing them fifth place, but will they go higher?

:51:46. > :52:03.Now it is France. This rider loves riding forward, quickly, Orient

:52:04. > :52:08.express, he rides France at the moment, they have gone very well

:52:09. > :52:20.indeed. France have really pulled right up, they have had a clear from

:52:21. > :52:25.two riders and four from the other. Another clear round... And they have

:52:26. > :52:32.not got it. They have not got it. How important will that be? It was a

:52:33. > :52:36.big surprise, fairly straightforward vertical. Very few riders have had

:52:37. > :52:41.it down and orient express has been the best horse at the show so far.

:52:42. > :52:45.It just shows you the best horse at the show so far.

:52:46. > :52:52.are not machines and they can make the stake at any time. Normally so

:52:53. > :53:01.consistent. -- they can make mistakes at any time.

:53:02. > :53:29.Nicely done through the double. One to go. He has done it. That first

:53:30. > :53:34.fence, what a pity. If they had had three clear rounds, they would have

:53:35. > :53:42.been laughing all the way. But they are going to count four faults. Four

:53:43. > :53:51.to add. It looks like 14.08 finish score for France. That is the

:53:52. > :53:55.fence, just that one slight mistake. These sort of vertical this horse

:53:56. > :54:02.would normally jump 99 times out of 100. This sport is so cruel at

:54:03. > :54:07.times, this horse has been absolutely brilliant so far. It is

:54:08. > :54:16.definitely four for that final round. That surely makes 14.08 and

:54:17. > :54:17.there are some anxious looking Americans with Beezie Madden, the

:54:18. > :54:31.last to go, probably nobody cooler. That man has won everything that

:54:32. > :54:39.there is going. Can he now bring it out of the fire? The Germans at the

:54:40. > :54:44.moment, four... And it has gone. It is all happening. She has been

:54:45. > :54:50.making the ordered mistake in the last few months. She has not jumped

:54:51. > :54:59.the clear rounds that she can do. Really having an early one here puts

:55:00. > :55:00.huge pressure on her. -- on him. And this is a man that is used to

:55:01. > :55:20.pressure. One thing he has got to do is make

:55:21. > :55:23.sure he does not get time faults. He is really motoring. Absolutely

:55:24. > :55:43.determined to get inside the time. He is working hard, a big, strong

:55:44. > :55:48.lad, hands and heels, forward to the second last, OK for the time

:55:49. > :55:58.commonly has jumped it. But he has had one down. It means the Germans

:55:59. > :56:06.will get eight in this second round. That second fence, a lot of those

:56:07. > :56:10.riders would like to get hold of that green filler on the floor and

:56:11. > :56:20.burn it, because it has been so influential. You would not expect

:56:21. > :56:26.her to make that mistake. They go below France and they could drop out

:56:27. > :56:33.of the medals totally. It will go down to the last rider in each of

:56:34. > :56:38.the teams to come to my reckoning -- by my reckoning. The United States

:56:39. > :56:44.to go first, Netherlands to go second.

:56:45. > :56:53.Beezie Madden. One of the leading individuals at the moment but it is

:56:54. > :56:58.the team gold the Americans are after. They have had three all with

:56:59. > :57:05.one fence down. They need a clear. They will be an eight and then they

:57:06. > :57:11.will be on 16.72. And that is behind the French. It looks to me

:57:12. > :57:20.currently, that the French are the ones to beat.

:57:21. > :57:28.Beezie Madden and this horse, they have been an incredible form leading

:57:29. > :57:35.up to these championships. Making everything look so simple. Beautiful

:57:36. > :57:37.American style of fluent riding. Even under pressure, she sticks to

:57:38. > :57:52.her guns. The Americans looking here to try to

:57:53. > :58:02.get the silver. They cannot get ahead of the French. Lovely through

:58:03. > :58:09.that double, just the last fence and she is fine for time. That is an

:58:10. > :58:15.excellent ride, in the most pressurised situations. There are

:58:16. > :58:22.the Germans saying, what a ride. This lady could end up as the world

:58:23. > :58:27.individual champion. That is not impossible. But now the Americans,

:58:28. > :58:34.it looks to me as if there's score is eight and that 16.72 would look

:58:35. > :58:41.the team total for the best three. This is poetry in motion. I don't

:58:42. > :58:47.think I have seen this horse have a fence down. Beezie Madden, pure

:58:48. > :58:52.class as a rider. What a fabulous combination. Under extreme pressure.

:58:53. > :58:57.Still riding in that elegant, effortless way. The Americans are

:58:58. > :59:52.happy. This is the horse that was bought

:59:53. > :59:54.for over 8 million euros to do this job. He has been looking in fabulous

:59:55. > :00:15.form. It is gone. Right. He has to forget about it. And keep

:00:16. > :00:19.his concentration. They are still ahead of the French, just, I think.

:00:20. > :00:28.Another one and they will not be. Time faults could matter.

:00:29. > :00:39.Tight to the vertical. There it is. I think he has done it, I think he

:00:40. > :00:47.has done it, the time is all right, so it means, that the Dutch will

:00:48. > :01:08.take eight through in this round. So there we are, they get the gold.

:01:09. > :01:13.France gets silver. What a competition, Andy, my word. Talk

:01:14. > :01:18.about nail-biting, when Schroeder had that fence down, the nerves were

:01:19. > :01:29.jangling, but he managed to hold it to gather and he did enough. --

:01:30. > :01:35.together. There he is, jumping, big double, intense pressure, what a

:01:36. > :01:45.relief. He raises his hand in salute to victory. One fence down, just

:01:46. > :01:51.about enough to clinch a gold medal. What a competition, I have never

:01:52. > :01:58.seen a competition like that, with literally only just over one fence

:01:59. > :02:02.in the top four, quite amazing. So here is the confirmed result, a win

:02:03. > :02:11.for the Netherlands, finishing with a total of 12.83 penalties. Less

:02:12. > :02:17.than two marks ahead of France, the United States with a bronze,

:02:18. > :02:24.forthwith true Romany, dropping out of the medals. They are a fraction

:02:25. > :02:30.of a mark behind, 16.82 in fourth. A wonderful clear when the USA needed

:02:31. > :02:34.it? Thank you, it always feels good to come through and when it doesn't

:02:35. > :02:38.you feel like it never comes through, it is a fantastic feeling

:02:39. > :02:43.when it happens. You have been an jumped in so many big competitions,

:02:44. > :02:48.but the pressure was really knew? Yes I have two say when I was in the

:02:49. > :02:53.warm up area I was not sure if we had a chance for a medal or not, and

:02:54. > :02:59.then I was told that yes we have a chance, for sure. I did not have

:03:00. > :03:06.much time, it worked out perfectly. And you lead the individual, too?

:03:07. > :03:10.Yes I hear that, that is great, my horse has been so fantastic, he

:03:11. > :03:15.deserves to be on top, a lot of other horses are jumping very well,

:03:16. > :03:33.we have got a lot to go on Saturday, I will just try and stay on form.

:03:34. > :03:51.The gold medals await. And they are the world champions of 2014, they

:03:52. > :03:56.win the title that they won last in 2006, and their leader really does

:03:57. > :04:01.deserve his medal, with his clear round. That really was a turning

:04:02. > :04:09.deserve his medal, with his clear point. Michael, 26 years old, and

:04:10. > :04:19.his colleague was in the team who won in 2006, beating the Germans on

:04:20. > :04:21.their home soil. And now Tony, the member of the IOC, presents it to

:04:22. > :04:33.Jerome . And don't forget, not in shot at

:04:34. > :04:46.the moment, Rob, there he is, there he is, the head of the team. Gold to

:04:47. > :04:50.the Netherlands. STUDIO: So no championship medals, for the British

:04:51. > :04:54.showjumping but plenty here in the para- dressage, once again they are

:04:55. > :05:01.the champions and oddly William 's has the story of their success. The

:05:02. > :05:05.most successful team in sport, they call them, the British para-

:05:06. > :05:12.dressage riders, have won every medal going since 1996, all of them

:05:13. > :05:17.including London 2012, but how about this year 's world Equestrian games,

:05:18. > :05:21.Lee Pearson has been a star of this team since the Sydney Olympics but

:05:22. > :05:28.he was dropped for last year 's Euros. In 2014 he is back with two

:05:29. > :05:32.individual titles. It is the best feeling ever, it has been quite a

:05:33. > :05:37.tough few years up to London, during London, since London, not going to

:05:38. > :05:42.the Europeans, coming on a new horse and I prayed we would get a medal,

:05:43. > :05:46.to get triple gold again, it is the nominal. Yes he said triple gold

:05:47. > :05:56.because alongside his individual wins, the team beat the world again.

:05:57. > :06:01.Lee Pearson, Natasha Baker, Sophie Wells and their team-mate, beat the

:06:02. > :06:08.Dutch by a substantial margin. If that makes it sound easy, nobody saw

:06:09. > :06:13.it. This has been the toughest year, it has been so difficult, the stand

:06:14. > :06:19.as so much. Paralympic champion to Tasha Baker had to settle for

:06:20. > :06:22.Olympic silver, she thinks that despite team dominance, the British

:06:23. > :06:27.have got a lot of work ahead. We need to make sure that we don't get

:06:28. > :06:32.complacent, we keep pushing for those top schools and medals and

:06:33. > :06:36.hopefully next year we will all have better European. Sophie Christiansen

:06:37. > :06:40.knows how it feels, while she still comes home with an individual gold,

:06:41. > :07:03.she could only take silver on the freestyle in the last days. I came

:07:04. > :07:08.third and I thought hang on, but it really gave me the wake-up call that

:07:09. > :07:12.I needed. Wake-up call is the buzz phrase, winning team gold means that

:07:13. > :07:18.Britain have already secured places at the Rio 2016 Olympics, they now

:07:19. > :07:23.have two years to work out how to stay ahead of other rapidly

:07:24. > :07:29.improving nation. The countries have got support systems in place, top

:07:30. > :07:34.horses, we really have two ride every single step of the way now, to

:07:35. > :07:39.get into the medals, never mind win a gold medal. The standard has risen

:07:40. > :07:45.so much, it has been a real eye-opener for the Brits, just

:07:46. > :07:54.watching the Dutch girl, the horses, it is phenomenal. It really is game

:07:55. > :08:00.on. Nothing is for granted, this sport is hard, we still need a lot

:08:01. > :08:07.of support to stay at the top of the game, we have managed it, as a team

:08:08. > :08:12.we are over the moon. Congratulations to the British para-

:08:13. > :08:16.dressage riders. There is still more action to come, with the individual

:08:17. > :08:22.showjumping competition, and the fences just get bigger and bigger,

:08:23. > :08:27.round three is live tomorrow from 12:25pm, then Clare balding will

:08:28. > :08:33.bring the fascinating conclusion on Sunday with the final four riders,

:08:34. > :08:39.remember they have two ride each other's horses to decide the overall

:08:40. > :08:43.winner. But from all of us from these world Equestrian games, I hope

:08:44. > :08:48.you have enjoyed it as much as we have, goodbye.
