:00:58. > :01:04.to find enough university places and jobs to meet demand.
:01:04. > :01:14.Years of academic toil boiled down to this. One envelope and the
:01:14. > :01:20.
:01:20. > :01:25.moment of truth. I gotta at A* and to as. After months of sweating it
:01:25. > :01:30.out it finally came down to this day. It is brilliant, I can finally
:01:30. > :01:34.relax. Many were celebrating getting into university but some
:01:34. > :01:39.opted to earn a living locally. does not really matter because I
:01:39. > :01:44.have got a job. I am working in the hospital and hopefully training to
:01:44. > :01:48.be a paramedics. With accountancy if I go straight into work I do not
:01:48. > :01:53.need to go to university to get where I want to be. The Channel
:01:53. > :02:00.Islands did well with both Jersey and Guernsey attaining a 99% pass
:02:00. > :02:05.rate. When it came to the number of students attaining A* or A grades,
:02:05. > :02:10.the figures were much higher than the UK. Demand for university
:02:10. > :02:16.places is later than ever with many keen to secure a place before the
:02:16. > :02:21.increase in tuition fees in 2012. We were told it would be really
:02:21. > :02:26.competitive. It has gone well though. I am glad to have got in
:02:26. > :02:30.this year. It would have been more difficult if I had gone next year.
:02:30. > :02:36.We're waiting for a decision about what is going to happen with
:02:36. > :02:40.students about tuition fees. Our advice is to go ahead and apply.
:02:40. > :02:44.Make sure they keep their options open. Today's results bring two
:02:44. > :02:51.years of hard work to an end. While a day has brought good news for
:02:52. > :02:56.some and uncertainty for others, many will just be glad it is over.
:02:56. > :02:59.The police investigation into Sunday's stabbings has continued
:02:59. > :03:04.today with further forensic examination of the crime scene. In
:03:04. > :03:09.addition, officers at the incident room have identified more witnesses

:03:46. > :03:51.Polish community are shocked, and they are in a very deep sorrow. But
:03:51. > :03:55.they have to get through it. There was a fear when it first happened
:03:55. > :03:59.that there would be a backlash against the Polish community. It
:03:59. > :04:04.has turned out to be a domestic tragedy which could have been in
:04:04. > :04:11.the UK or anywhere else. Has that fear gone away? It is very
:04:11. > :04:15.difficult to say because it happened just a few days ago.
:04:15. > :04:22.Probably, today it is a requiem Mass and we will see how things are
:04:22. > :04:27.going. It is very difficult for me to say now, I think it takes time,
:04:27. > :04:30.but we have had support from the Jersey community and I think the
:04:30. > :04:35.Polish community will be able to get through this difficult time.
:04:35. > :04:43.Why they are receiving a lot of support? Yes. They are receiving a
:04:43. > :04:48.lot of support, a lot of e-mails, phone calls and text messages. They
:04:48. > :04:54.have received words of condolences and are receiving offers of
:04:54. > :05:01.financial support and there is a huge response from the community.
:05:01. > :05:08.Briefly, what would you be doing over the next 24 hours? I have met
:05:08. > :05:12.already the police, I have met parishioners, I had met some of
:05:12. > :05:18.that representatives of the Polish community, and I am going to meet
:05:18. > :05:25.the members of the victim's family. First of all, that it is a very

:05:51. > :05:56.Nigel Ozane had a narrow escape in one of the most dramatic crashes in

:05:59. > :06:04.Eyewitnesses say this car was travelling at around 90 miles an
:06:04. > :06:08.hour when it hit the car in front, spinning out of control and

:06:14. > :06:19.Lucky to be alive, the crash has stayed with him so. I have been
:06:19. > :06:26.waking up sweating and shouting. What I can remember is hitting the
:06:26. > :06:32.wheel of the car in front of me. After that, it all goes a bit blank.
:06:32. > :06:38.It seems to come back to me when I am dozing off to sleep. When I'm
:06:38. > :06:43.awake I don't remember much of. This paramedics saw the crash. He
:06:43. > :06:46.treated Nigel while firemen tried to free him from his car. We first
:06:46. > :06:52.thought he was going to have significant injuries because of the
:06:52. > :06:58.way the body had somersaulted several times. Fortunately he only
:06:58. > :07:03.had minor injuries. Sand racing meetings happen twice a month. This

:07:25. > :07:29.happen every now and then, you just have to get on with it. I am
:07:29. > :07:34.looking forward to getting back in the car. Nigel hopes to be getting
:07:34. > :07:40.back in his car as soon as possible. He has to rest for at least one
:07:40. > :07:45.month so will have to make do with reading about motor sport.

:08:25. > :08:29.tractor. Why? We're at the Gorey fate. You see all these lovely
:08:30. > :08:34.people who have come to find out about this shore line. They want to

:08:40. > :08:44.built. They found a mermaid out their earlier on! There is a sunken
:08:44. > :08:49.boat out there in the harbour. We find all sorts of things on that
:08:49. > :08:54.shore line. They are all told to bring the bathing costumes and
:08:54. > :09:01.their passports. We don't just stick to the shore, we go out into
:09:01. > :09:04.the sea. I hope you have got your bathing costumes! I forgot to! This
