:01:27. > :01:33.history. We are talking about World War II and I am interested in that
:01:34. > :01:36.kind of thing. The 11-plus is a series of written
:01:36. > :01:38.tests that assesses a child's academic potential and aptitude in
:01:38. > :01:41.their last year of primary education. It is a controversial
:01:41. > :01:44.issue that still divides opinion among parents and teachers. Some
:01:44. > :01:47.see it as the start of a two tired - two-tier education system, where
:01:47. > :01:50.the top quarter are offered places at the grammar or grant-funded
:01:50. > :01:59.private schools, while others see it as crucial to maintaining high
:01:59. > :02:01.academic standards. The Education Department has been prompted to
:02:01. > :02:07.launch a public consultation following criticism from Denis

:02:52. > :02:55.So no English, no Maths and no creative writing. The rationale is

:03:08. > :03:11.disruption to the curriculum in Year 6. If you think children are
:03:11. > :03:14.facing too much pressure or feel that the current system is a

:04:56. > :05:01.Ann is retired. But she works every day to manage her condition. That
:05:01. > :05:05.is probably one of the nasty things about MS, the feeling that you are
:05:05. > :05:12.not in control with what will happen, but at the same time, you
:05:12. > :05:17.have got to own your disease. There is not a magic wand going to be
:05:17. > :05:22.waved over you. You have to be responsible for yourself. You try
:05:22. > :05:25.and seek the help that you can seek. Ann's help comes from this diving
:05:25. > :05:27.chamber. It is thought breathing in pure oxygen in a pressurised

:05:31. > :05:34.the MS Therapy centre has been given a breath of fresh air as part
:05:34. > :05:43.of a recent renovation. It is hoped new clients will take up the
:05:43. > :05:48.treatment: We realised we were not having people coming back on a

:05:53. > :05:58.conditions that might be helped with oxygen therapy to come forward
:05:58. > :06:01.as well. The walls of this building may have

:06:20. > :06:29.You can come and find out how MS means P -- how much amass means to

:06:57. > :06:59.It has already been a massive season of sport, with our local
:06:59. > :07:04.rugby and football teams doing better than ever before in national

:07:07. > :07:10.against Jersey in the rugby on Saturday, and in the football on
:07:10. > :07:14.Monday. Tomorrow we will see how the Siam sides are feeling ahead of

:07:40. > :07:46.Jersey they are both going in to It has certainly changed things for
:07:46. > :07:53.football in Guernsey. The same principles still apply. We will
:07:53. > :08:03.want a result to bring back. We are on the crest of Our wave. We have
:08:03. > :08:05.
:08:05. > :08:08.got the confidence and team spirit is high.
:08:08. > :08:12.Guernsey manager Kevin Graham has named his 19-man squad for Monday's
:08:12. > :08:14.match against Jersey but warns he will reduce the number to 18 at the
:08:14. > :08:19.weekend, after looking into some injury concerns. We are still
:08:19. > :08:26.monitoring the fitness of some of our players. We have had one
:08:26. > :08:30.illness, an ear infection. We're going to see how it goes in the
:08:30. > :08:34.next training session. But Jersey manager Craig Culkin is keeping his
:08:34. > :08:38.cards close to his chest, for the time being at least. We have got a
:08:39. > :08:45.lot of quality and the squad. From my point of view it is going to be
:08:45. > :08:50.a headache as far as selection for places. But everyone is eager and
:08:50. > :08:53.ready to go and we are really looking forward to it.
:08:53. > :08:55.So anticipation is high, the atmosphere at Springfield on Monday
:08:55. > :08:58.sure to be electric, as our football teams round off a
:08:58. > :09:07.tremendous season of local sport and flying the flag for the Channel
:09:07. > :09:10.Islands. And we will have full commentary on
:09:10. > :09:13.BBC Guernsey and BBC Radio Jersey on Monday and there will be all the

:09:22. > :09:26.And still with sport, Jersey badminton player Elizabeth Cann
:09:26. > :09:28.will have to wait until the end of the month to find out if she's in

:09:31. > :09:34.published today, putting Cann at number 48, that's up two places,
:09:34. > :09:36.but she is still behind Scotland's Susan Egelstaff, who remained at 36.

:09:50. > :09:55.will announce their team on May Let's take a look at the weather.
:09:55. > :09:59.It is a slightly quieter and two a week. A lot of a cloud around for
:09:59. > :10:04.tomorrow and we will see some wet- weather over the weekend. We have
:10:04. > :10:09.got some low-pressure moving into the North. This is gradually making
:10:09. > :10:14.its way towards us and the weather front is making its way down from
:10:14. > :10:20.the North so we will be close to a couple of weather fronts by
:10:20. > :10:26.lunchtime tomorrow. Later on Friday, it is actually on Saturday that we
:10:26. > :10:31.will see most of the rain from the weather fronts. There will be some
:10:31. > :10:36.dry weather to come for the bank holiday. Some clearers skies
:10:36. > :10:42.initially this evening. Some isolated showers and a bit more
:10:42. > :10:48.cloud in the second half of the night. Not really too cold. The
:10:49. > :10:54.winds will settle in. Tomorrow morning, at the risk of some mist
:10:54. > :10:59.patches, and it will also be quite cloudy throughout the day. With the
:10:59. > :11:05.cloud, temperatures will stay around 14 or 15 degrees as a
:11:05. > :11:09.maximum, but the winds will start to strengthen tomorrow. The winds
:11:09. > :11:19.will be coming in from the northeast. There could be some rain
:11:19. > :11:29.
:11:29. > :11:36.For the surf, it is not huge. There could be a 1 ft cleaner way, but it
:11:36. > :11:40.will get messy as the day picks up. It will be rather wet for Saturday
:11:40. > :11:44.and Wednesday for a time as well. Some dry were there are round on
:11:44. > :11:54.Sunday and some brightness on Monday, with a small chance of a

:11:55. > :11:59.And a quick look ahead to breakfast tomorrow morning. We will be
