:13:57. > :14:01.about the appointment. How important was it you brought the case?
:14:02. > :14:04.Incredibly important. We did not think about it lightly in terms of
:14:05. > :14:08.going through it, but we have made it and it's been a battle for both
:14:09. > :14:14.of us. We see each other through the ups and downs, and we are pleased to
:14:15. > :14:18.be here. The process has been quite traumatic process, I think. There

:14:35. > :14:38.on, as I'm sure Penny does as well. Both women say they were prevented

:14:43. > :14:46.were instead to be redeployed, they said. But both women refused to
:14:47. > :14:52.accept that, believing they had done nothing wrong. They subsequently
:14:53. > :14:54.resigned from the trust. Doctor Vasco`Knight strongly denied the

:15:01. > :15:03.out with her daughter when he was appointed and she did not even know
:15:04. > :15:07.him. She had not, she said, stopped the women from returning to their
:15:08. > :15:11.jobs as revenge for raising their concerns. The tribunal was told this
:15:12. > :15:13.was an important case as the treatment of whistle`blowers had

:15:52. > :15:56.A Somerset pony club has launched a campaign to save endangered Exmoor
:15:57. > :15:59.foals from slaughter. It wants to prove there is a market for them in

:16:11. > :16:19.hotels and restaurants. Spotlight's Janine Jansen reports.
:16:20. > :16:25.Dawn Westcott wants to give Exmoor foals a lifeline. When they come off
:16:26. > :16:31.the more, they are wild and frightened of humans. She takes
:16:32. > :16:34.months to socialise them. The problem has been is that it's very
:16:35. > :16:40.difficult for the more land farmers to find the buyers and actually
:16:41. > :16:42.present the foals in a form where people can handle them, because
:16:43. > :16:48.sometimes people are daunted about taking them off the Moors, but
:16:49. > :16:53.sometimes people don't know how to buy the fold, a mad farmer doesn't

:17:35. > :17:40.ponies do have to be managed. What you have to look at is there is a
:17:41. > :17:43.natural degree of wastage with any good management and breeding, and we
:17:44. > :17:48.are interested in producing good stock, but we need somewhere for the
:17:49. > :17:54.substandard stuff to go, so I think we are looking at a very limited
:17:55. > :17:58.amount, but it was suggested on as a speciality market, it could possibly

:18:26. > :18:29.IKEA has been given planning permission for a store on the

:18:33. > :18:38.the city last year and it is predicted to create hundreds of
:18:39. > :18:41.jobs. Time for the sport now, and Exeter Chiefs have already started
:18:42. > :18:43.planning for next season haven't they, Dave? They have indeed.
:18:44. > :18:46.They're signing Leicester Tigers back row Thomas Waldrom. He's agreed
:18:47. > :18:49.a three`year deal. The 30`year`old, who's won five England caps, will
:18:50. > :18:52.join the Chiefs in the summer. Current incumbent Dave Ewers hasn't
:18:53. > :18:56.yet signed a new contract at Sandy Park. Meanwhile, Don Armand's try
:18:57. > :18:59.put Exeter 13`0 ahead at Cardiff Blues and supplemented by four
:19:00. > :19:03.Gareth Steenson penalties, they went on to win 19`13.
:19:04. > :19:07.But their slender chance of making the European Challenge Cup

:19:12. > :19:13.The Chiefs now concentrate on the Anglo`Welsh Cup over the next two

:19:28. > :19:31.They won't know until next Monday who they'll face in Penzance, but it

:19:36. > :19:36.are away in the last eight against the Pirates, Leinster, Leeds or
:19:37. > :19:43.Bristol. Heavy rain reduced the weekend's
:19:44. > :19:46.League football by half. Plainmoor and St James Park were both victims
:19:47. > :19:50.of waterlogged pitches, leaving Yeovil Town and Plymouth Argyle to

:20:04. > :20:10.A super win, and a must win game. We build it is that throughout the

:20:38. > :20:46.A shooting chance for Alan. There it is, the opening goal for Rochdale.
:20:47. > :20:53.A clash of heads there. I don't think it was malicious, but the
:20:54. > :20:57.Rochdale player is down on the ground, and a straight red card.
:20:58. > :21:04.Chipping it into the box. Henderson is the target. What a lovely goal by
:21:05. > :21:13.Ian Henderson. He scored a great one against Leeds. A chance for Rochdale
:21:14. > :21:17.to attack. And that is Michael Rose with a lovely flighted chip. Argyle
:21:18. > :21:18.will not be contesting Gurrieri's dismissal.
:21:19. > :21:25.He'll now be suspended for the next three games. The Plymouth Raiders

:21:33. > :21:36.Durham Wildcats at the Pavilions to set up a home tie against Sheffield
:21:37. > :21:40.Sharks. And a provisional date of Sunday, February ninth has been
:21:41. > :21:44.pencilled in for the Raiders BBL Trophy quarterfinal.
:21:45. > :21:50.Now we often bring you pictures of the South West as it once was here
:21:51. > :21:54.on Spotlight as we spool through the archive to find film from the past
:21:55. > :21:57.which is important in the present. But what about the future? Who's
:21:58. > :22:00.filming images for the next generation of programme makers?
:22:01. > :22:04.Well, one woman in North Devon has set up a project to capture life as
:22:05. > :22:07.it is now. The stars of the first film are the donkeys of Clovelly.
:22:08. > :22:18.Spotlight's North Devon reporter, Andrea Ormsby has been looking at
:22:19. > :22:24.the footage. Clovelly is famous for three reasons, the steep slopes, the
:22:25. > :22:27.cobbled streets and the donkeys. Now they are the focus of this short
:22:28. > :22:33.film which launches the North Devon moving image project.
:22:34. > :22:39.The aim is to make and share short films which show everyday life in
:22:40. > :22:44.North Devon today, so future generations can get an idea of what
:22:45. > :22:49.we were like back then. Lots of people are recording video, on their
:22:50. > :22:54.phones, on their tablets, with video cameras, but for those moments to be
:22:55. > :23:02.preserved and shared, something really needs to be done to edit them
:23:03. > :23:08.into short films and make them live a long life by putting them in a
:23:09. > :23:13.place, one place, where we can keep them, look after them and share them
:23:14. > :23:18.with everybody. And Clovelly proved the perfect place to start the
:23:19. > :23:22.project. It was a real insight in how people live everyday lives in a
:23:23. > :23:26.lovely village where there are no cars, with cobbled streets, and it's
:23:27. > :23:30.really just preserving a moment in time. We never could have imagined
:23:31. > :23:35.it would be such a delightful film. Really, that is down to the people,
:23:36. > :23:41.and that is what the films are about, people and their stories. The
:23:42. > :23:46.people telling this story are Bart and Sue Kelly, who look after the
:23:47. > :23:49.donkeys. There has always been a place for donkeys in Clovelly,
:23:50. > :23:53.they're part of their heritage, and they have been here for hundreds if
:23:54. > :23:58.not thousands of years. It's one of the things that people come to
:23:59. > :24:04.Clovelly to see. Just working with the donkeys was very difficult, they
:24:05. > :24:10.were so lovely we were busy cuddling them. Amanda describes this not as
:24:11. > :24:13.just a long`term project, but a project forever. Who knows how many
:24:14. > :24:20.films there will be in the end? But the donkeys were the first.
:24:21. > :24:29.Lovely stuff. Wright, from donkeys to David. I couldn't think of a
:24:30. > :24:33.better link. Let's give you some sunshine in the forecast. We had
:24:34. > :24:38.heavy rain through the weekend, but thankfully it has dried out tonight.
:24:39. > :24:43.It is quite a cold night to come, and we will see some fairly low
:24:44. > :24:48.overnight temperatures, possibly below freezing. It is staying
:24:49. > :24:52.unsettled, quite showery and it remains quite breezy as well.
:24:53. > :24:57.Typical temperatures this week will be between eight and 10 degrees. We
:24:58. > :25:01.are between weather systems on the lump of cloud is approaching
:25:02. > :25:06.tomorrow. This line of cloud is the reluctant one that has produced rain
:25:07. > :25:09.just over the weekend, so we are between the systems. So hopefully
:25:10. > :25:13.some dry weather for a short while but it's only short lived. This
:25:14. > :25:16.weather system coming in from the Atlantic is fairly steadily moving
:25:17. > :25:20.towards us. It might take its time first thing in the morning but
:25:21. > :25:23.eventually will move across through the afternoon. Then we are between
:25:24. > :25:27.weather systems, and plenty of showers around by the middle of the
:25:28. > :25:31.week. Let's look at night. There are a few showers dotted around at the
:25:32. > :25:35.moment, crossed the far west of Cornwall. Those will fade away and a
:25:36. > :25:40.good deal of clear sky means we will seek, very quickly, the temperatures
:25:41. > :25:46.rapidly dropping away. `` we will see. We will also get some mist and
:25:47. > :25:50.fog across East Devon and into Somerset and Dorset, and here the
:25:51. > :25:54.fog could be patchy, but where it is staying it could be quite thick, so
:25:55. > :26:02.dangerous driving conditions first thing tomorrow. Some of that fog
:26:03. > :26:05.could be freezing fog, and we have a warning to that and the most likely
:26:06. > :26:09.location will be across parts of Somerset. A warning from the Met
:26:10. > :26:13.office about the risk of fog that could be slow to clear first thing
:26:14. > :26:16.in the morning. That will gradually lifted out of the way, and through
:26:17. > :26:20.the day it should brighten up. I think we will get some sunshine
:26:21. > :26:24.before the band of rain sets in. Once it sets in, it becomes
:26:25. > :26:28.extensive. Only really clearing towards the end of the afternoon in
:26:29. > :26:31.the far west Cornwall around the Isles of Scilly. It will be quite
:26:32. > :26:35.breezy with the wind is fresh in from the south. They become strong
:26:36. > :26:39.along the south coast of Devon. Even though we get temperatures of nine
:26:40. > :26:43.or 10 degrees, it might not feel that warm with the wind chill
:26:44. > :26:49.factor, and once the rain sets in it is a cold feeling day. Morning rain
:26:50. > :26:54.in the Isles of Scilly, then briefly a glimpse of sunshine as it goes
:26:55. > :26:55.towards the end of the day but then showers behind that. Here are the
:26:56. > :27:16.times of high water. Some usable surf on the north coast.
:27:17. > :27:20.The coastal waters forecast, the winds are changing direction. They
:27:21. > :27:27.are southerly, then pick to force five or six and swing
:27:28. > :27:31.south`westerly. `` and pick`up to force five. The outlook is pretty
:27:32. > :27:36.unsettled, more persistent rain back on Friday. Have a good evening.
