:00:16. > :00:19.Growing waiting lists and unsuitable opening hours are

:00:20. > :00:24.The health department has promised action ` but admits it's already

:00:25. > :00:28.struggling to keep up with the rapid pace of change in areas such

:00:29. > :00:39.Nowhere to turn, no clear answers and a fear that children will fall

:00:40. > :00:47.Just some of the concerns voiced by parents about CAHMS.

:00:48. > :00:50.And this town house tucked `way on a quiet st helier street is where

:00:51. > :00:55.the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are based.

:00:56. > :00:57.The problem ` as highlighted in today's rdport `

:00:58. > :01:01.is that this centre is only open 9`5 Monday to Friday ` not hdeal

:01:02. > :01:06.for children who go to school or their parents who work full time.

:01:33. > :01:34.for out of hours services, better training for staff and

:01:35. > :01:49.We want the service to be proactive not reactive. We want them to

:01:50. > :01:54.deliver programmes and pathways earlier, at the time when the

:01:55. > :01:57.youngsters are first showing the signs of mental health issuds,

:01:58. > :02:00.rather than waiting until there is a crisis to be able to intervdne.

:02:01. > :02:03.The Health Minister was before scrutiny again today `

:02:04. > :02:05.she says the difficulty for her department is that young peoples

:02:06. > :02:22.We know through Internet, the different pressures, like drugs

:02:23. > :02:28.psychiatric drugs play a big part in it, too. As does alcohol. So all

:02:29. > :02:29.these factors, we need to understand it.

:02:30. > :02:31.So everyone agrees there are problems.

:02:32. > :02:34.The challenge for the health department is to find the money

:02:35. > :02:41.The Jersey Care Inquiry will start hearing evidence on 22nd July.

:02:42. > :02:43.It's been set up to investigate historic child abuse in the island.

:02:44. > :02:46.Today Jersey's Health department were ordered to provide doctments

:02:47. > :02:49.of the historic abuse compensation scheme

:03:04. > :03:06.A man accused of murder in Jersey has been remanded in custodx

:03:07. > :03:10.35`year`old Darren Neil McCormack is charged with killing Colin Chevalier

:03:11. > :03:17.An investigation has found that Alderney's harbour is running with

:03:18. > :03:22.The independent report recolmends a shake`up

:03:23. > :03:29.The shortfall in funds was found in an audit, carried out in 201 .

:03:30. > :03:32.Despite a bumper year for Jersey royals, around a quarter are

:03:33. > :03:35.being discarded and aren't laking it to the supermarket shelves.

:03:36. > :03:39.Many of them are too big to sell and are just being dumped.

:03:40. > :03:54.Sifting through this year's Jersey Royals and throwing out those too

:03:55. > :03:57.big to sell. It has been an excellent year for growing but

:03:58. > :04:07.thousands of tonnes are being left to rot because they are oversized.

:04:08. > :04:11.Generally, we have a size specification to work too from

:04:12. > :04:16.supermarkets. Perfect growing conditions have meant a record crop

:04:17. > :04:20.here and abroad. From Cornw`ll, through Pemba Cheer up to Stffolk

:04:21. > :04:23.and Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. They have a lot of

:04:24. > :04:29.potatoes that they want to sell So there is a lot of competition in the

:04:30. > :04:32.market. With so many Royals in the market, why can they not big in the

:04:33. > :04:37.market, why can they not begin runaway? We would like people to

:04:38. > :04:40.contact us if they have worthwhile charitable causes that could

:04:41. > :04:46.benefit. We are more than h`ppy to do that. So what puts of customers

:04:47. > :04:51.from buying a bigger Jersey Royal? If you saw these Jersey Roy`ls in

:04:52. > :04:55.the shop, which would you go for? I would go for the small ones. I would

:04:56. > :05:01.go for the small one, it tastes nicer. I would go for the slall one,

:05:02. > :05:13.because I have heard they are more tasty. The small ones, they are user

:05:14. > :05:17.to squeeze. The big ones. One company has a use for overshzed

:05:18. > :05:20.potatoes, to make vodka. So they will not be completely wastdd.

:05:21. > :05:22.Guernsey tennis player Heather Watson says her new aggresshve style

:05:23. > :05:27.The British number one is playing in the Eastbourne Ageon

:05:28. > :05:29.championship this week as she prepared for Wimbledon.

:05:30. > :05:31.She's having a good year after recovering from glandular fdver

:05:32. > :05:46.I absolutely love it. It is my favourite time of year. I love being

:05:47. > :05:51.in front of the home crowd, all the support. Just being here, knowing

:05:52. > :05:54.that as soon as you are dond the tournament, you go home.

:05:55. > :05:59.Good luck, Heller. Archaeological digs are being

:06:00. > :06:01.carried out Teams from the UK will be working

:06:02. > :06:05.on two sites in the area which are thought to contain

:06:06. > :06:29.Bronze Age burial chambers That's it for now. Now the weather

:06:30. > :06:37.forecast. It is a bit more hn the way of cloud. A fairly thick band of

:06:38. > :06:44.cloud arriving by the end of the night. Overnight ambitious down The

:06:45. > :06:49.breeze picks up as well. So a breezy, cloudy start to the day By

:06:50. > :06:53.the afternoon, clearer condhtions will not in from the north. There

:06:54. > :07:02.should be lots of sunshine hn the second half of the day. Quite a keen

:07:03. > :07:07.wind to start with. On Wedndsday, another band of cloud coming our

:07:08. > :07:12.way. That could produce the odd isolated light shower. But for most

:07:13. > :07:17.of us, another dry day. Just disappointing league cloudy at

:07:18. > :07:22.times. On Thursday, Friday `nd the weekend, we start to see thd

:07:23. > :07:27.high`pressure comeback and getting closer. So more fine weather, dry

:07:28. > :07:31.weather. More sunshine and ` little bit warmer.

:07:32. > :07:32.Good night. The more across the UK, here is John

:07:33. > :07:43.Hammond. A lot of dry weather this week. Some

:07:44. > :07:48.important variations from day-to-day and place to place. The cloud will

:07:49. > :07:54.come and go and the warmth will Take today, we were shivering under

:07:55. > :08:01.the cloud in eastern England. . In stark contrast here, 25 Celsius

:08:02. > :08:05.here. The warmest day of the year so far. On Tuesday, the map turns

:08:06. > :08:07.orange. That shows higher temperatures for many of us

:08:08. > :08:12.tomorrow. Not exactly cold overnight. Under the clearest of the

:08:13. > :08:18.skies, in rural spots, will get down to six or seven Celsius. For larger

:08:19. > :08:22.towns and cities, will get to double figures. Dampness in Scotland. It is

:08:23. > :08:27.a cloudy start where you are across the south and the east of the UK,

:08:28. > :08:35.hang on in there. The sun should come out and it will be a dazzling

:08:36. > :08:36.day. Good news if you are off to Royal Ascot. Warm, up into the low
