:00:00. > :00:07.me. On B@C More choice for Guernsey sttdents

:00:08. > :00:17.as the GCSE system is overh`uled. British and Channel Island

:00:18. > :00:34.hopes high as Heather Watson Last year I was a totally dhfferent

:00:35. > :00:36.person. I am a lot more poshtive, and enjoying it.

:00:37. > :00:38.In Singapore ` a must win game for Jersey

:00:39. > :00:53.As students finish their GCSE exams ` Guernsey's

:00:54. > :00:58.announced major changes to the way students will be tested in future.

:00:59. > :01:04.England is changing its GCSDs from 2015, meaning the

:01:05. > :01:06.Island's Education Department has had to look at whether to do

:01:07. > :01:15.End of school exams are somdthing most of us will be familiar with.

:01:16. > :01:18.Students in Guernsey have traditionally followed the same

:01:19. > :01:25.The UK government has set ott new plans for GCSEs,

:01:26. > :01:39.Young people deserve an education system that can compete with the

:01:40. > :01:47.best in the world. We have got to consultation, and we

:01:48. > :01:48.will be having examinations that suit and benefit all of our

:01:49. > :01:49.students. Guernsey schools will offer

:01:50. > :01:52.the new English GCSEs with lore of a focus on exams,

:01:53. > :01:54.less coursework, and the normal A* to G grades will be scrapped,

:01:55. > :01:58.with marks from 1 to 9 instdad. But they will also offer

:01:59. > :02:00.other options including . GCSEs from Wales and Ireland,

:02:01. > :02:03.which are similar to those GCSEs International GCSEs

:02:04. > :02:20.and other accredited vocational There is a whole range, lots of

:02:21. > :02:25.different types of qualific`tions, and it is about getting the right.

:02:26. > :02:30.If we had chosen the route of going with English GCSEs we would be more

:02:31. > :02:33.constrained. It is about looking at what is best

:02:34. > :02:39.for students. Some students will benefit from taking an exam which is

:02:40. > :02:43.based on 100% of their work. Other students will benefit from being

:02:44. > :02:45.able to do coursework and h`ve that taken into account.

:02:46. > :02:48.With the majority of this ydar?s exams now finished, this is moment

:02:49. > :02:50.most students will be thinkhng about now, whilst the schools thelselves

:02:51. > :02:59.think how to adapt to the ndw system when it begins to roll out hn 2 15.

:03:00. > :03:02.A 24`year`old`man has appeared in Guernsey's Magistrates Court

:03:03. > :03:05.charged with the attempted rape of a girl over the weekend.

:03:06. > :03:08.Jorge Miguel Dos Santos Fornesca, who is a waiter, was denied bail.

:03:09. > :03:14.He's been remanded in custody until 7 July.

:03:15. > :03:17.Jersey has committed itself to protecting children?s rights,

:03:18. > :03:20.by signing up to a United N`tions convention.

:03:21. > :03:23.The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was launched

:03:24. > :03:25.by politicians at Grouville School today,

:03:26. > :03:35.These are just some of the rights of child

:03:36. > :03:44.They'll be taken into account when new laws are made.

:03:45. > :03:51.How symbolic is this? The governor dissolving itsdlf to

:03:52. > :03:56.account as to how its poliches will affect children and signifyhng that

:03:57. > :03:57.they will do the best by thd children of Jersey and that is an

:03:58. > :04:00.important statement to make. Pupils here

:04:01. > :04:02.at Grouville School have become the first in the island to hntroduce

:04:03. > :04:15.the convention into its curriculum. We have all been looking at what

:04:16. > :04:19.right we have and how we can use them.

:04:20. > :04:26.We can get it do all the politicians, David Cameron `nd

:04:27. > :04:31.director Bama, worldwide. How did this into practice?

:04:32. > :04:36.We make sure it is consistent across policies and everything we do with

:04:37. > :04:37.children so that everything we do reflect our commitment to rhghts.

:04:38. > :04:40.It's now hoped other schools in the islands will follow Grotville?s

:04:41. > :04:48.example in highlighting the rights of all the world?s children.

:04:49. > :04:50.Guernsey's Heather Watson h`s been in first round action at Wilbledon

:04:51. > :04:55.Our reporter Matt Sandoz has been watching and is live in SW18 for us.

:04:56. > :04:58.Matt ` Heather is the British number 1 at her home

:04:59. > :05:01.tournament ` what is the crowd's reception like to her, and how is

:05:02. > :05:11.The result is expectation in British tennis players on the button comes

:05:12. > :05:16.around, and that expectation will be even greater on Heather Watson. The

:05:17. > :05:23.Guernsey girl to get all of her stride today, a comfortable two sets

:05:24. > :05:31.victory against Croatia? Ajla Tomljanovic. Court number three

:05:32. > :05:36.might not be the largest show court in Wimbledon, but most of the 2 00

:05:37. > :05:40.fans were here to cheer on heather at her home in chip.

:05:41. > :05:42.Her first round opponent was Croatian Ajla Tomljanovic, who is

:05:43. > :05:46.in good form ` she reached the final of last week?s Aegon Intern`tional.

:05:47. > :05:48.But Watson is full of confidence too, having bdaten

:05:49. > :05:52.a top 20 player for the first time at the same tournament.

:05:53. > :05:55.It started off well for Watson, serving well and taking her chances

:05:56. > :06:22.That set the mood for the British Number 1, as she broke servd again.

:06:23. > :06:25.The match lasted just over `n hour, giving the home crowd with

:06:26. > :06:36.their Union and Guernsey flags plenty to cheer.

:06:37. > :06:43.I have played a lot of matches and had a lot of wins. I have one to

:06:44. > :06:47.judgements this yourself ard, and I'm pleased with my form. I love

:06:48. > :06:52.court number three and I have played before. I think it was the first

:06:53. > :06:56.record I played on a few ye`rs ago. The crowd was brilliant tod`y, so

:06:57. > :07:04.loud. Sometimes they are a bit quieter, but today was good. The

:07:05. > :07:07.louder the better for me. The British number one is s`fely

:07:08. > :07:10.through into round two and ` step closer to achieving one of her own

:07:11. > :07:14.personal ambitions, making ht through to the second week of a

:07:15. > :07:18.grand slam championship, and how she would dearly love to do it here at

:07:19. > :07:22.Wimbledon. She faces a tough opponent in the next round, she is

:07:23. > :07:24.up against the ninth seed from Germany on Thursday.

:07:25. > :07:27.Well, from the grass courts of Wimbledon to the artificial pitch

:07:28. > :07:30.which will be laid at Jersex's Springfield Stadium, after ` U`Turn

:07:31. > :07:36.The initial application for a so`called 3G surface was

:07:37. > :07:39.rejected last month, but now the Planning Ministdr has

:07:40. > :07:42.stepped in and overturned that decision, as Emma Chambers reports.

:07:43. > :07:47.Around 50 games are held at Springfield Stadium everx

:07:48. > :07:51.season, and it also hosts the Muratti Vase Final.

:07:52. > :08:04.But all this action takes its toll on the grass surface.

:08:05. > :08:10.These are the goalmouth are`s, and this is what is happening whth the

:08:11. > :08:12.pitch when it is only being played on about 50 times.

:08:13. > :08:15.That's why the Jersey Footb`ll Association want to replace this

:08:16. > :08:18.grass pitch with an artifichal one, so more matches can be playdd.

:08:19. > :08:26.With God plans to have youth clubs and primary schools using this

:08:27. > :08:30.during the day and sports tdams using it at night, including Billy

:08:31. > :08:31.clubs if they wish, and on the weekend we will have back`to`back

:08:32. > :08:32.games. But their application was rdjected

:08:33. > :08:35.by the Planning Applications Panel over concerns not

:08:36. > :08:37.about the pitch but about Now

:08:38. > :08:41.the Planning Minister has stepped in, and told the JFA to plax on `

:08:42. > :08:53.as long as his concerns are met I have put in the planning

:08:54. > :08:58.commission to ensure that informal use of the pitch is taken into

:08:59. > :09:02.account as well as sporting opportunities for clubs. Thd other

:09:03. > :09:07.issue is that there will be a whole host of planting and landsc`ping.

:09:08. > :09:09.What was being proposed was fairly substandard in some respects.

:09:10. > :09:12.The Minister has also deciddd to keep the children?s play

:09:13. > :09:16.And while the fence that protects the artificial pitch may stop ad

:09:17. > :09:19.hoc kickarounds, they'll be many more football matches here.

:09:20. > :09:30.The 3G pitch should be readx for the Island Games next ydar.

:09:31. > :09:34.After two defeats in their first two games, Jersey cricketers faced

:09:35. > :09:40.They're playing the ICC World Cricket League Division

:09:41. > :09:43.Four, and defeat would rule out any chance of promotion.

:09:44. > :09:45.Our reporter Tim Pryor is following the competition

:09:46. > :09:58.After two defeats at the st`rt of instrument, a Singapore downpour

:09:59. > :10:04.delayed Jersey's bid to get back to winning ways. The site, who are

:10:05. > :10:09.underplayed higher than this level, have already lost to Malaysha and

:10:10. > :10:15.man at the weekend. Next, Etropean connotation against the Italians,

:10:16. > :10:21.known more for pizza and pasta than leg spinners and wicketkeepdrs.

:10:22. > :10:26.Jersey desperately needed a victory to reinvigorate hopes of a third

:10:27. > :10:29.consecutive promotion. The small group of travelling fans had

:10:30. > :10:33.something to applaud with two early wickets. Channel Islander 's bowled

:10:34. > :10:41.well and restricted opponents to 147`9 from a reduced 40 overs. In

:10:42. > :10:48.reply, Captain Peter Gough lade 61 to send his side on their w`y to

:10:49. > :10:54.victory. It was all going so well, then suddenly back in the Italians.

:10:55. > :11:00.Wickets tumbled as Jersey mdn for nine runs in 20 balls. But Sam

:11:01. > :11:05.Dewhirst held his nerve to see Jersey home for the win with 18

:11:06. > :11:10.balls to spare. It is a good feeling to get a win

:11:11. > :11:14.because it was long overdue. We didn't perform as well as wd could

:11:15. > :11:19.have on the first two games, so it is great to have performed well

:11:20. > :11:22.today and to have one. Hopefully it starts off a few more wins later in

:11:23. > :11:27.the German. Next up, it is Denmark.

:11:28. > :11:30.One other bit of sports news, and Lee Merrien is out

:11:31. > :11:35.The Guernsey marathon runner suffered a stress fracture

:11:36. > :11:37.in his back at a training c`mp in the Pyrennees.

:11:38. > :11:40.It's a big disappointment as he missed last year?s world

:11:41. > :11:45.Weather time now and another sunny day today.

:11:46. > :11:48.Not a drop of rain for weeks, it feels like ` David,

:11:49. > :12:10.Yes, we are, for Guernsey and Jersey.

:12:11. > :12:15.your garden and concerned about reservoir levels, most of the

:12:16. > :12:31.reservoirs are about 80% at the moment.

:12:32. > :12:36.tomorrow, it will not feel `s hard. This cloud is approaching from the

:12:37. > :12:39.West, that is slow`moving, `nd another area of cloud is he`ding

:12:40. > :12:45.down towards us first thing tomorrow morning. It does change things, and

:12:46. > :12:50.introduces slightly fresher conditions. All this cloud `nd rain

:12:51. > :12:55.to the West will make progrdss towards us by thirsty, so on

:12:56. > :13:01.Thursday evening we could sde outbreaks of rain. Overnight

:13:02. > :13:06.tonight, lots of clear skies, temperatures down to 13 Celsius The

:13:07. > :13:10.patchy cloud will come and go, the maybe cloud through the morning and

:13:11. > :13:16.early parts of the afternoon, but the cloud will break up by the

:13:17. > :13:21.afternoon. Not as hot as a has`been, temperatures between 18 and 20

:13:22. > :13:28.degrees. A breeze from the north`east, generally good

:13:29. > :13:37.conditions with good visibility Here are the times of high water.

:13:38. > :13:43.Disappointing conditions for the surfers, but the sea is warling up.

:13:44. > :13:52.The forecast for the cricket, morning sunshine, showers in the

:13:53. > :13:53.afternoon. Showers around as we head into the weekend, temperatures 8

:13:54. > :14:04.Celsius. `` species. Growing numbers are

:14:05. > :14:09.being seen in the south`west and they are eating locals PCs. `` most

:14:10. > :14:13.quickly spreading invasive speeches. Reduce VAT on tourism ` MPs join

:14:14. > :14:16.the campaign to help the industry. And finding solace on stage `

:14:17. > :14:19.the musical inspired by the loss Now to the story

:14:20. > :14:30.which has grabbed your interest Mobile phone reception,

:14:31. > :14:33.or rather the lack of it. We heard last night how not spots

:14:34. > :14:36.were driving many So today we sent

:14:37. > :14:40.Spotlight's Cornwall reportdr David George to the area th`t drew

:14:41. > :14:43.the largest number of complaints to see it for himself

:14:44. > :14:58.and to find out about the challenges Beautiful bay on Cornwall's north

:14:59. > :15:01.coast between Newquay and P`dstow. The sea wash and blocks all you can

:15:02. > :15:06.hear and you are not likely to be troubled by the ring of a mobile

:15:07. > :15:10.phone. I can point you to a spot on the sand dunes where the dunes are

:15:11. > :15:14.quite high and if you face hn the right direction you might bd able to

:15:15. > :15:18.get half a conversation with somebody. Just up the Valiente

:15:19. > :15:25.Hamlet has all mod cons excdpt mobile phone signals. About a

:15:26. > :15:31.two`mile radius where we ard now you cannot pick up a mobile signal which

:15:32. > :15:37.causes problems to a lot of people, obviously people who live hdre,

:15:38. > :15:40.holiday`makers who come in, but more important li `` importantly elderly

:15:41. > :15:43.people who need to be in communication with relatives and

:15:44. > :15:48.farmers who need to do business and people who work from home. Ht

:15:49. > :15:57.becomes a real problem in this area. They reckon 80% of the parishes here

:15:58. > :16:01.are not spots, that is hundreds of locals and thousands of

:16:02. > :16:04.holiday`makers affected. Devon and Cornwall business counsellor worried

:16:05. > :16:10.that people heading to Cornwall for these short breaks, business people

:16:11. > :16:15.who must always stay in touch may be put off from coming. It is `

:16:16. > :16:17.possibility. We heard on thd news yesterday about a certain ilportant

:16:18. > :16:22.gentleman who has to go homd because he cannot receive his important

:16:23. > :16:29.calls down here and I am sure he is not the only one. It looks like this

:16:30. > :16:33.could be the Prime Minister's favourite beach. It is a lovely spot

:16:34. > :16:38.for a break as long as you do not have to stay in touch. We asked the

:16:39. > :16:41.major mobile phone companies why coverage here was so patchy and what

:16:42. > :16:46.they would do about it. Thex said they would respond by e`mail which I

:16:47. > :16:52.can get here on my .Mac mobhle phone. When we did eventually get a

:16:53. > :16:59.signal we found that only O2 had replied. A spokesman said they were

:17:00. > :17:02.happy to have a dialogue with the government on mobile phone coverage

:17:03. > :17:07.and they spend millions of pounds on the network every year and cover 99%

:17:08. > :17:11.of the UK population. They have been working with Vodafone to pull parts

:17:12. > :17:12.of the network. He admitted that will not help if there is no network

:17:13. > :17:20.at all. Sailing and the Round Britahn

:17:21. > :17:23.and Ireland yacht race has dnded with a new record being set

:17:24. > :17:25.in the mono`hull catagory. The boats set off

:17:26. > :17:28.on their 2,000 mile voyage from Plymouth just over two weeks ago

:17:29. > :17:30.with Belgian yacht Brusails arriving Falmouth pair Will Claxton `nd Matt

:17:31. > :17:41.Gill took the multi`hull title. their first defeat this sumler

:17:42. > :17:44.in cricket's County Championship. Somerset's last pair of Petdr Trego

:17:45. > :17:47.and North Devon's Jamie Overton put on 71 to keep title rivals

:17:48. > :17:56.Nottinghamshire at bay at With one days remaining Nottingham

:17:57. > :18:02.need a further 86 to win with eight wickets intact.

:18:03. > :18:06.Some of the region's MP are joining hoteliers in their campaign calling

:18:07. > :18:09.on the Government to charge the tourism industry less V@T.

:18:10. > :18:11.Currently the UK is one of only four countries

:18:12. > :18:15.in the EU not to reduce the rate of tax on its good and servhces to

:18:16. > :18:18.From Torquay here's our South Devon reporter John Ayres.

:18:19. > :18:22.Are we paying over the odds for a good old British holiday? M`ny in

:18:23. > :18:27.the tourism industry think we are because of tax. The tax that we call

:18:28. > :18:32.a VAT is regulated by the ET but tourism is one area where there is

:18:33. > :18:38.room to manoeuvre and the UK is one of only four countries in the EU not

:18:39. > :18:41.to take advantage of it. Holiday`makers in the ``

:18:42. > :18:45.holiday`makers in the UK ard paying twice as much VAT as holidax in

:18:46. > :18:49.Spain and Italy and three thmes as much as those holidaying in France

:18:50. > :18:53.and Germany. That can make ` difference in what is a verx

:18:54. > :18:58.competitive market. This hotel in Torquay has signed up to thd

:18:59. > :19:15.campaign calling for VAT in tourism to be reduced. One of the things we

:19:16. > :19:17.have noticed here is that as these pound is strengthening against the

:19:18. > :19:19.euro our foreign visitors h`ve fallen quite dramatically and it

:19:20. > :19:22.shows the market is quite price sensitive. When you look at the VAT

:19:23. > :19:24.rates they pay on their hotdls it is little wonder they think our hotels

:19:25. > :19:27.are expensive in comparison. The campaign to lower VAT would mean

:19:28. > :19:29.prices can be lowered to invest more visitors which would `` attract more

:19:30. > :19:33.visitors which would invite more money to invest. It would encourage

:19:34. > :19:42.more people to take holidays in this country, not only that, it would,

:19:43. > :19:46.well, more revenue to the hotels and things like that. At the molent we

:19:47. > :19:50.take one holiday a year, solewhere in Britain for maybe a week or two

:19:51. > :19:56.weeks but if they were cheaper then we might go twice or three times.

:19:57. > :20:00.What it has cost us to come to Torquay, we're off to the Greek

:20:01. > :20:05.islands were about the same money. There we are guaranteed sun as well.

:20:06. > :20:11.It would not influence me pdrsonally but it may influence other people. A

:20:12. > :20:14.Treasury spokesman said thex recognised the importance of the

:20:15. > :20:18.industry but they do not have plans for a VAT cut for the sector because

:20:19. > :20:21.it would lead to a signific`nt revenue shortfall that would have to

:20:22. > :20:27.be met through increased taxes or increase borrowing.

:20:28. > :20:30.A woman from North Devon who turned to writing to help her deal with

:20:31. > :20:33.grief after he daughter died while training for Ten Tors is

:20:34. > :20:36.about so see her first play take to the stage Jennifer Wilkin Shaw's

:20:37. > :20:41.Not only did she write the play but she's directing it to

:20:42. > :20:44.for its run at the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple next month.

:20:45. > :20:57.Hamish Marshall has been to rehearsals.

:20:58. > :21:02.On stage a play about the problems facing many in Britain todax,

:21:03. > :21:09.poverty, unemployment and homelessness. It has helped other

:21:10. > :21:17.deal with her problems of P`risian meant. You do not need to do

:21:18. > :21:21.anything for the moment... Jennifer's life was turned tpside

:21:22. > :21:25.down in 2007 when her daughter Charlotte drowned while trahning for

:21:26. > :21:29.ten Tors. A few years earlidr her husband had died. When her grief

:21:30. > :21:35.subsided she threw herself hnto something she had never dond before,

:21:36. > :21:39.writing and directing a mushcal I still have difficult times, mornings

:21:40. > :21:45.and nights and the loneliness, the difficulty of loss is always going

:21:46. > :21:49.to be with me but I think when you decide that you are living, you have

:21:50. > :21:56.to live as well as you can `nd you have to put things into perspective.

:21:57. > :22:03.Hence a show that is about reconciliation. Through an `ct of

:22:04. > :22:08.kindness a jobless Goodie brings an evil boss to his knees and their

:22:09. > :22:12.salvation. She tries but I think we are very difficult sometimes to work

:22:13. > :22:15.with but she tries her harddst and the fact she has written it from her

:22:16. > :22:25.heart and if we can look at it in the same way we will put thd same

:22:26. > :22:29.sort of passion into it. Shd has worked day and night on it `nd

:22:30. > :22:32.sometimes we feel we have not put enough effort in because we feel bad

:22:33. > :22:37.for her and this is her babx and she has put everything into a t`b and

:22:38. > :22:43.want to do a proud. And what of the daughter whose death put her on the

:22:44. > :22:49.road to the stage? In her thmes of seriousness I think she would say

:22:50. > :22:53.that I am a good example now, so I think she would be proud. She would

:22:54. > :22:59.also probably want to do sole gymnastics across the stage and

:23:00. > :23:06.probably a little bit of disruption but I think she would be proud of

:23:07. > :23:17.me. The musical is at the Qteens Theatre in Barnstaple on thd 17th

:23:18. > :23:22.and 18th of July. Great stuff. It is time for the weather forecast now.

:23:23. > :23:25.Will the sunshine really go away? All good things have to comd to an

:23:26. > :23:29.end. Can we make it stay?

:23:30. > :23:32.I have done my best. There hs a change in the forecast. We will see

:23:33. > :23:36.more clouds developing, particularly towards the end of the week and

:23:37. > :23:41.there is some rain in the forecast. For some it will be welcome but for

:23:42. > :23:44.others it will draw to a close a nice spell of summer weather that we

:23:45. > :23:49.have been enjoying. More cloud around tomorrow so they slow changes

:23:50. > :23:53.happening and the risk of showers. It is still relatively warm but not

:23:54. > :23:57.as hot as it has been for the last couple of days. Temperatures are

:23:58. > :24:01.down a few degrees. Alt in the Atlantic there is a lot mord cloud.

:24:02. > :24:04.It is already across parts of Ireland and the whole lot is moving

:24:05. > :24:08.slowly and erratically towards us. At the same time another we`ther

:24:09. > :24:12.system has generated a few showers today across the more northdrn parts

:24:13. > :24:17.of the country and it will track you across us. It will not have much

:24:18. > :24:21.left on it but it will introduce fresh conditions and for sole that

:24:22. > :24:25.will be welcome but the big change happens on Wednesday to Thursday

:24:26. > :24:28.when the weather system starts to approach. Slow progress but by the

:24:29. > :24:32.end of Thursday some of us will have seen some outbreaks of rain. As we

:24:33. > :24:35.move towards the end of the week it is low pressure. I pressure has been

:24:36. > :24:39.our friend all the way throtgh the last ten days or so and now it is

:24:40. > :24:45.replaced by low pressure as we head into the weekend. The satellite

:24:46. > :24:50.picture has more detail. Sole of this cloud will heads towards us but

:24:51. > :24:54.there is a arena to left on it. This was earlier today across East

:24:55. > :24:58.Dartmoor where our cameraman was out enjoying some fantastic views of the

:24:59. > :25:06.beautiful countryside in thhs part of Devon. A postcard picturd seen.

:25:07. > :25:10.The blue sky set off by such lush green foliage, the countryshde is

:25:11. > :25:13.looking very splendid at thd moment. Not everyone is happy with `ll of

:25:14. > :25:18.the flower was because the pollen has been very high for the last four

:25:19. > :25:21.days. Rain in the air at thd end of the week will help with that because

:25:22. > :25:28.it washes a lot of dust and pollen out of the air. Tonight temperatures

:25:29. > :25:31.will dip down as low as 11 or 1 degrees. Slightly cooler th`n it was

:25:32. > :25:35.last night but for many of ts it is still quite a warm night. Lhght

:25:36. > :25:40.winds and more cloud creeping in from the north in the second half of

:25:41. > :25:44.the night. Tomorrow we will expect more of the same. Patchy cloud

:25:45. > :25:48.around and gradually we will start to see that generate some showers.

:25:49. > :25:52.The sunshine will become a bit limited in the afternoon with

:25:53. > :25:58.generally a lot of cloud for most of us so a different story to tell The

:25:59. > :26:01.wind will freshen along the south coast and it will feel cooldr. For

:26:02. > :26:04.all of us with less sunshind around the temperatures are down from a

:26:05. > :26:15.view degrees from where we have been used to. The forecast for the Isles

:26:16. > :26:29.of Scilly. Here there is generally a lot of cloud, dry but more cloud in

:26:30. > :26:33.general here. Times of high water. Surfing will improve as we head into

:26:34. > :26:36.the weekend, more of a breeze developing will help to lift the

:26:37. > :26:40.surf somewhat but it is still a little bit flat along the south

:26:41. > :26:43.coast. The north coast may get two feet but it is not much mord than if

:26:44. > :26:50.it really over the next 24 hours or so. The sea temperature is pretty

:26:51. > :26:54.high for the time of year. That is all the strong sunshine makhng a

:26:55. > :26:59.difference. The coastal watdrs forecast has the winds

:27:00. > :27:02.north`easterly. Into the evdning it could pick up to force five along

:27:03. > :27:08.the south coast of Cornwall but generally fair with good visibility.

:27:09. > :27:11.In comes the change, a lot lore cloud and showers. We will see

:27:12. > :27:16.outbreaks of rain on Thursd`y, turning showery on Friday and

:27:17. > :27:22.Saturday and some of those showers could be quite heavy and also cooler

:27:23. > :27:26.conditions for all of us. Wd have gone down to about 17 degreds as we

:27:27. > :27:29.head into the weekend. It h`d to end and we have had a good spell and

:27:30. > :27:35.hopefully things will improve XP. Have a good evening.

:27:36. > :27:41.David is not our favourite person any more! That is it from us. The

:27:42. > :27:43.late news tonight is at 10:40 p m.. I hope you can join us for that

:27:44. > :27:45.Goodbye.
