:00:31. > :00:48.Four years ago, it was said that the relationship needed to be fhxed

:00:52. > :00:54.and he is in Jersey today and thinks the problems are now in the past.

:00:59. > :01:01.the legislative process at both ends, both in Jersex

:01:02. > :01:09.We have both fulfilled on that and I think, having had conversathons over

:01:10. > :01:17.the last 24 hours, I think that is going well.

:01:18. > :01:20.Lord Faulks is in charge of ensuring the islands are properly

:01:21. > :01:23.governed and there were concerns he had not been allowed to hear enough

:01:24. > :01:27.dissenting voices because he is being shown around

:01:28. > :01:35.They believe that there are significant areas where there could

:01:36. > :01:38.be room for improvement and these are not going to be

:01:39. > :01:42.relayed to the minister through the Chief Minister because he says

:01:43. > :01:55.The meeting was only set up after he complained to the BBC.

:01:56. > :01:57.Jersey's Chief Minister said all voices were being heard

:01:58. > :02:18.It is right that our decisions are determined in Jersey.

:02:19. > :02:28.They all issues that people grapple with everyday. We have our own

:02:29. > :02:39.parliament and it is right they are determined. As the political party

:02:40. > :02:44.continues to push for a reform, the UK Government may have to t`ke a

:02:45. > :02:47.great interest in what goes on across the Channel.

:02:48. > :02:49.The Jersey police officer who crashed a patrol car has bedn

:02:50. > :02:51.charged with driving without due care and attention.

:02:52. > :02:53.James Andrew Jenkinson's car overturned on the

:02:54. > :02:58.He wasn't attending an emergency and no other vehicles were involved

:02:59. > :03:00.He will appear at the Magistrates Court on Thursd`y.

:03:01. > :03:02.Bosses from Britain's biggest union are

:03:03. > :03:06.After a stay in Guernsey, leaders of Unite the Union today

:03:07. > :03:10.It comes as States workers are balloted

:03:11. > :03:22.Unite's Jersey spokesman saxs strike action isn't on the table ydt.

:03:23. > :03:25.People have been balloted on proposed pension changes.

:03:26. > :03:28.The results are in and we are in the process of advising lembers

:03:29. > :03:36.and we will announce the results to the media in due course.

:03:37. > :03:38.Three organisations representing businesses in Guernsey have launched

:03:39. > :03:41.a joint review into the cost of flying in and out of the island.

:03:42. > :03:44.It comes following concern from members of the Chamber

:03:45. > :03:47.of Commerce, GIBA and the CGI about recent increases in Atrigny

:03:48. > :03:56.The airline recently committed to keeping 60% of its fares under 75.

:03:57. > :03:58.Well Jim Cathcart will be speaking to Luke Wheadon from

:03:59. > :04:02.Guernsey's Chamber of Commerce about this story just after seven in

:04:03. > :04:09.They help us in very differdnt ways ` but all our emergencx

:04:10. > :04:15.And those calls in Guernsey will all come into one place in future.

:04:16. > :04:18.A new joint control centre at the island's fire station is

:04:19. > :04:30.the first step, as the BBC's Mike Wilkins explains.

:04:31. > :04:36.And this is the room where 899 calls are received by the ambulance

:04:37. > :04:47.And this is another room in another building where 989 calls

:04:48. > :04:51.are received by the fire and rescue service.

:04:52. > :04:58.This is where the emergency calls are takdn.

:04:59. > :05:09.In two month's time, they whll be taking emergency calls hdre.

:05:10. > :05:12.Emergency services with their own control room.

:05:13. > :05:15.Economically, that doesn't make sense

:05:16. > :05:17.and operationally, it makes sense to move them into one facilhty.

:05:18. > :05:19.It's claimed that people calling the emergency services will see

:05:20. > :05:26.In the future, they will have somebody frol all

:05:27. > :05:36.It will improve the joined tp approach to a multiservice response

:05:37. > :05:43.to some sort of incidents like a road traffic collision.

:05:44. > :05:48.They will see improvements for certain.

:05:49. > :05:51.Merging the ambulance and fhre services is a temporary measure

:05:52. > :05:53.There are plans for a future joint control centre

:06:20. > :06:30.We have not seen much rain this summer but we have the risk of a few

:06:31. > :06:35.showers developing towards the end of the day tomorrow. This is the

:06:36. > :06:41.reason for the wet weather. These weather systems of brushing the

:06:42. > :06:49.corner of France. Some of the rain is quite heavy. We have somd

:06:50. > :06:55.moderate to heavy bursts of rain particularly in the early hours of

:06:56. > :07:00.the morning. 15 Celsius is the minimum temperature and tomorrow,

:07:01. > :07:05.some early rain moving swiftly. Through the rest of the day, there

:07:06. > :07:09.is still a lot of cloud arotnd and temperatures between 20 and 22

:07:10. > :07:14.Celsius with mainly westerlx winds. The outlook for Thursday is largely

:07:15. > :07:18.dry. There is the chance of some small showers and

:07:19. > :07:23.of low pressure bringing us some more rain and more persistent rain

:07:24. > :07:30.for a time and then turning bright and dry. In a second, a fordcast

:07:31. > :07:32.from the UK but from us herd, good night and here's the summarx.

:07:33. > :07:41.unsettled tone continues into t`e weekend.

:07:42. > :07:46.There's been a fair bit of talk about what weather is heading our

:07:47. > :07:50.way for the weekend. We will touch on that at the end of the forecast.

:07:51. > :07:54.In terms of the weather here and now, it is a lot of rain on the way.

:07:55. > :07:58.So plenty of rain already affecting south-western parts of the country.

:07:59. > :08:02.That will sweep across the UK as we go through the course of the night.

:08:03. > :08:07.On top of that, it is not going to be wet, it will be a warm night

:08:08. > :08:11.too. Temperatures will be hovering around 16 or 17 degrees by the early

:08:12. > :08:14.hours of Wednesday morning.
