:00:00. > :00:12.That's all from us. A new initiative's been launched to
:00:13. > :00:15.help turn around the lives of young people in Guernsey,
:00:16. > :00:18.who risk ending up unemployed. The Prince's Trust,
:00:19. > :00:21.which was set up by Prince Charles, will be running programmes

:00:49. > :00:56.support the Mac has helped young people then Jersey for more than a
:00:57. > :01:13.decade. `` The Prince's Trust has helped. That help has been extended
:01:14. > :01:29.to Guernsey. The one person you must speak to is her. It is about the
:01:30. > :01:32.journey. I was unemployed. The programmes that The Prince's Trust
:01:33. > :01:40.runs helps you to get up in the morning. It gives you the confidence
:01:41. > :01:48.and self`esteem to get out and see people do things.
:01:49. > :01:57.Initially running in three schools it will help 25 pupils. There is a
:01:58. > :02:07.quarter of people in that category who need support. Probably 200
:02:08. > :02:11.people who are unemployed. This is not about getting volumes through.
:02:12. > :02:21.This is about getting the right people. This is about changing
:02:22. > :02:25.people's waves. It all starts here with the hope it will end with the
:02:26. > :02:32.same success the charity has had elsewhere.
:02:33. > :02:35.A campaign group has been formed in Jersey to lobby for constables
:02:36. > :02:39.There will be a referendum in October and the group wants to

:03:10. > :03:11.in the Channel Islands, that's the view of government ministers.
:03:12. > :03:15.There are just 12 electric cars registered in Guernsey and 75

:03:31. > :03:42.Jen Smith and Chris Harrison have this special report.
:03:43. > :03:58.Quieter and better for the environment. Electric vehicles have
:03:59. > :04:09.their advantages. Petrol and diesel vehicles emit CO2. There are 12
:04:10. > :04:14.privately owned electric vehicles in Guernsey. The Government wants to
:04:15. > :04:18.change that. It will introduce a subsidy for newly registered
:04:19. > :04:31.vehicles. It wants public charging points. But our drivers convinced?
:04:32. > :04:36.If it is cheaper to run I would. My concern is where we would have the
:04:37. > :04:46.points to power them. That is one of the big worries. Deputy Kevin
:04:47. > :04:59.Stewart has his own ideas. Let us have giving bees for people who have
:05:00. > :05:10.electric or hybrid vehicles. `` let us have Green bays. This person sold
:05:11. > :05:13.six electric vehicles last year. And the Government are leading the

:05:24. > :05:33.these vehicles with planning and environment. We like to be
:05:34. > :05:37.eco`friendly. That is good news for Jersey electricity. They have
:05:38. > :05:46.provided charging points in car parks, but they are not well used.
:05:47. > :05:50.Subsidies are needed to kick`start electric vehicles. Once we get
:05:51. > :05:59.enough vehicles on the roads we will have a second`hand market, prices
:06:00. > :06:02.will be more. Electric vehicles are more expensive to buy and remain a
