:00:00. > :00:11.to rain again but the blizzards in the Scottish mountains

:00:12. > :00:25.It's not clear what caused the masonry to fall at around 11pm

:00:26. > :00:27.yesterday but winds were, and continue to be, exceptionally

:00:28. > :00:34.strong. Our reporter, Jean MacKenzie, sent this report from the

:00:35. > :00:37.scene. Just after 11pm yesterday, the top of the stone coloured

:00:38. > :00:40.building between the two red bricked buildings became dislodged by the

:00:41. > :00:49.wind and fell down on top of the silver car. It appears that before

:00:50. > :00:51.the incident, the stone coloured building looked like the two

:00:52. > :00:55.surrounding it. You can see how much of the building came down. We

:00:56. > :01:00.understand the car is a mini cab which was being driven by a female

:01:01. > :01:04.driver in her late 40s. It has three passengers in the back. The female

:01:05. > :01:08.passenger was able to free herself from the car but the other two

:01:09. > :01:12.became trapped and were pulled out by firefighters. The driver of the

:01:13. > :01:21.minicab then died. The passengers were taken to hospital and their

:01:22. > :01:31.injuries are not believed to be life`threatening. Even at 11pm

:01:32. > :01:35.yesterday, there would have been people around here. A passer`by was

:01:36. > :01:41.hit and he was taken to hospital. This part of high hope and will

:01:42. > :01:45.remain closed. That is why these firefighters are inspecting the

:01:46. > :01:48.building and checking it is safe and investigators need to go onto the

:01:49. > :01:51.site to find out what happened. As well as strong winds having an

:01:52. > :01:54.impact across London, the floods continue to cause problems along the

:01:55. > :01:56.Thames. 14 severe flood warnings remain force in parts of Berkshire,

:01:57. > :01:59.Surrey and Buckinghamshire. In some places, river levels have reached

:02:00. > :02:01.their highest for over 60 years meaning more significant flooding

:02:02. > :02:04.should be expected. Earlier, our reporter, Nick Beake, spoke to the

:02:05. > :02:12.Environment Agency about the situation. We have had another

:02:13. > :02:16.strong storm coming through overnight. We have not had as much

:02:17. > :02:23.rain as we thought. With a levels are still very high. On the River

:02:24. > :02:27.Thames, we are beginning to see the levels dropped off. We do not think

:02:28. > :02:33.we will see the levels go back to where they have been, which is good

:02:34. > :02:36.news. We have heard how some communities have come together.

:02:37. > :02:40.There has been anger at the authorities. Looking back, if we are

:02:41. > :02:47.reaching the end of this, have you done all you can to keep people in

:02:48. > :02:51.their homes? We have been working hard since September. We have

:02:52. > :02:57.protected over 1.3 million people and have been working 24/7 over that

:02:58. > :03:01.period with emergency services to try to make sure people are

:03:02. > :03:04.protected in their property. The winds and floods continue to hamper

:03:05. > :03:08.travel into and out of London. Let me give you a summary of the travel

:03:09. > :03:12.news. First, the roads and the QEII Bridge across the Thames in Kent is

:03:13. > :03:15.closed due to high winds. There are delays at London City Airport, with

:03:16. > :03:19.some flights affected at Gatwick and Heathrow too. On the trains, there

:03:20. > :03:23.are major problems in and out of Euston station to Birmingham and

:03:24. > :03:26.Manchester. And First Great Western have disruption due to flooding at

:03:27. > :03:38.Maidenhead, as the signal box is still out of action. Other train

:03:39. > :03:41.services are also seriously disrupted, and you can get all the

:03:42. > :03:43.very latest updates on our radio station BBC London 94.9 or our

:03:44. > :03:52.website. A look at today's weather: And expect blustery showers with dry

:03:53. > :03:55.spells in between. And the strong winds will ease slightly into

:03:56. > :04:08.tonight. That's it. Join me again at ten past six tonight on BBC One

:04:09. > :04:15.Good afternoon. It looks as though we could be heading towards a sunny

:04:16. > :04:24.Sunday, something I assure we will all be grateful. What a store the!

:04:25. > :04:30.In Berry head in Devon winds were in excess of 80 miles an hour. In

:04:31. > :04:34.Heathrow airport, they were seeing winds of over 60 miles an hour.

:04:35. > :04:41.These will ease through the rest of the day and we will have a few

:04:42. > :04:46.decent showers to encounter. You can see this lump across the far north

:04:47. > :04:53.and west, perhaps more of an organised line of showery rain which

:04:54. > :04:54.is set to descend to south and east through the afternoon. There will
