:00:17. > :00:21.Good evening. The family of a woman who died after giving birth to twins

:00:22. > :00:24.by caesarean has been awarded undisclosed damages at the High

:00:25. > :00:28.Court. 45`year`old Rosida Etwaree lost more than half her blood after

:00:29. > :00:30.the operation in 2010 at the Mayday Hospital, now known as Croydon

:00:31. > :00:31.University Hospital. Alice Bhandhukravi reports.

:00:32. > :00:36.Rosida Etwaree was admitted to Mayday Hospital for a planned

:00:37. > :00:40.Caesarean on the 23rd of June, 010. At the age of 45 and carrying twins,

:00:41. > :00:47.she was considered high risk, but her family had no idea what was to

:00:48. > :00:52.come. After the twin girls were born, it became clear to Rosida s

:00:53. > :00:55.husband that she was seriously ill. All of the doctors rushed, probably

:00:56. > :01:03.30 doctors, into the room, trying to help my wife. And I was just

:01:04. > :01:06.watching from outside. And they just drew the curtain. In fact, Rosida

:01:07. > :01:14.had suffered a major haemorrhage, losing more than half her body's

:01:15. > :01:18.volume of blood. She died later that evening. Qualified doctors did not

:01:19. > :01:21.take care of this patient. They did not meet a reasonable standard of

:01:22. > :01:27.care. They did not instigate policies that were already in place

:01:28. > :01:30.for this very reason. They failed in the most basic of medical care for

:01:31. > :01:35.Mrs Etwaree and that resulted in her death. And for a woman to die after

:01:36. > :01:40.giving birth in this country is just appalling, it is incomprehensible.

:01:41. > :01:45.It should not happen. Croydon Health Service's NHS Trust has admitted

:01:46. > :01:57.liability for Rosida's death. In a statement, it says...

:01:58. > :02:02.I don't wish anyone to go through what I have been through in the last

:02:03. > :02:07.three and a half years, raising children without their mum. It is

:02:08. > :02:11.the hardest. Today's ruling at the High Court concludes the civil case,

:02:12. > :02:13.but it has now been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service, which

:02:14. > :02:14.means that the Trust now potentially faces charges of corporate

:02:15. > :02:25.manslaughter. Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest West

:02:26. > :02:29.End show, Stephen Ward, is to close less than four months after it

:02:30. > :02:32.opened. Poor ticket sales have helped turn it into one of his

:02:33. > :02:36.biggest flops. Daniela Relph reports.

:02:37. > :02:45.Stephen Ward, Andrew Lloyd Webber's newest musical, opened in December

:02:46. > :02:51.and will close at the end of March. # You've never had it so good.

:02:52. > :02:54.The show is based around the Profumo affair of the 1960s, but not enough

:02:55. > :02:59.people came to see it, despite significant ticket discounts. The

:03:00. > :03:02.man who once dominated musical theatre is struggling to find a new

:03:03. > :03:10.hit in an increasingly competitive market. It is a similar story for

:03:11. > :03:13.his long`time songwriting partner Sir Tim Rice, whose show From Here

:03:14. > :03:21.To Eternity will also close next month. I do think this is the end of

:03:22. > :03:24.an era at the moment. With Tim Rice's From Here To Eternity closing

:03:25. > :03:27.the same night as this, the two giants who have dominated British

:03:28. > :03:32.musicals for over 40 years are leaving the stage, literally. In a

:03:33. > :03:36.statement, the producer said he was proud of the show and the strong

:03:37. > :03:40.reviews it had received. He said it was that he was sad to see it close

:03:41. > :03:46.in London and believed it would be seen by many audiences in the

:03:47. > :03:51.future. The Andrew Lloyd Webber back catalogue still sells. Phantom of

:03:52. > :03:53.the Opera remains one of the most successful musicals of all time as

:03:54. > :04:02.does Joseph. # I look handsome, I look smart

:04:03. > :04:05.But tastes appear to be changing. Opening this weekend, the comedy

:04:06. > :04:08.musical I Can't Sing, written by comedian Harry Hill, produced by

:04:09. > :04:12.Simon Cowell, and based on the X Factor. But Andrew Lloyd Webber s

:04:13. > :04:16.appetite for musical success shows no sign of waning. He's currently

:04:17. > :04:23.working on new songs for his next theatre project.

:04:24. > :04:28.It was the venue where Tom Daley fulfilled his dream of winning an

:04:29. > :04:31.Olympic medal. Now Londoners will be able to use the very same pool when

:04:32. > :04:33.the Aquatics Centre opens to the public this weekend. Here's our

:04:34. > :04:38.Sports News Correspondent, Adrian Warner.

:04:39. > :04:47.This is where Kieran and Lara usually train, a pool in Greenwich

:04:48. > :04:51.built in the 1920s. It's had its day, though, so this morning, they

:04:52. > :04:54.tumble`turned into a new world. Different colours, natural light. A

:04:55. > :04:58.renovated Aquatics Centre where Olympic history was made. You have

:04:59. > :05:02.got the Orbit out of the window and then there is a large seating area

:05:03. > :05:06.and the diving pool and you can just sort of imagine what it would have

:05:07. > :05:10.been like for the Olympic athletes. And the Olympians will often be

:05:11. > :05:15.close by. Tom Daley will be training regularly in the diving pool. There

:05:16. > :05:25.is also a dry diving area full of foam. And lots of space for a bit of

:05:26. > :05:32.simple fun. From Saturday, it will cost between ?3.50 and ?4.50 to swim

:05:33. > :05:35.here, the same as other local pools. Now, Olympic swimming pools usually

:05:36. > :05:44.lose money, but they have got a special deal in place here. They are

:05:45. > :05:47.going to subsidise the Aquatics Centre by renting at the nearby

:05:48. > :05:52.Copper Box Arena to other sports, and they hope that will also keep

:05:53. > :05:56.swimming prices low. London and the legacy has shown the world, in a

:05:57. > :05:59.couple of ways, how they can A) mix elite sport alongside community

:06:00. > :06:02.sport ` I have got Tom Daley diving behind me at the moment with

:06:03. > :06:05.schoolkids from London swimming in the other pool ` but also how we can

:06:06. > :06:12.cost subsidise and make sure we don't have white elephants on the

:06:13. > :06:21.Park. It is designed like a stingray fish and its goal is to reignite the

:06:22. > :06:23.aquatic instincts in all of us. A cyclist who found himself

:06:24. > :06:35.travelling along the M25 said he'd been directed there by an app on his

:06:36. > :06:44.phone. Police were alerted by alarmed drivers. The man, who was

:06:45. > :06:47.given ?50 fine, told police he was looking for a shorter route home.

:06:48. > :06:50.That's all from me, so I'll wish you a very good night and hand you over

:06:51. > :06:52.to Wendy, who's got the weather for you.

:06:53. > :06:53.Good evening. The middle part of this week, felt fine

:06:54. > :06:55.Good evening. The middle part of this week, felt weather but what the

:06:56. > :06:59.end, it will turn colder and there will be showers and longer part of

:07:00. > :07:03.rain but it is right for the most part out there. Overnight, but I

:07:04. > :07:07.discovered to be breaking up, leaving clear skies and light winds.

:07:08. > :07:11.Temperatures will fall by two three degrees which could lead to some

:07:12. > :07:15.frost across the Home Counties in sheltered spots. You will notice a

:07:16. > :07:18.chill the air first thing tomorrow but blue sky overhead and owning a

:07:19. > :07:23.small risk of showers as we go through the afternoon. The breeze

:07:24. > :07:27.picking up that on the mild side, ten or 11 Celsius. The outlook,

:07:28. > :07:34.overnight into Thursday there will be rain, clearing into sunshine and

:07:35. > :07:35.showers, Buster once. Then it is more difficult. Susan Powell is here

:07:36. > :07:45.to explain more international focus. Take a glimpse out of the window and

:07:46. > :07:49.the chances they will be starry skies where you are. The showers we

:07:50. > :07:53.have today are dying back to the coast. The breeze is also easing and

:07:54. > :07:57.reclaiming skies and light winds, it will be chilly overnight tonight.

:07:58. > :08:02.The wind will remain keen enough to hold the frost that bay and in the

:08:03. > :08:08.far north-west, bringing in some showers, if going down to the far

:08:09. > :08:11.southern coast. In rural areas, don't be surprised if there is

:08:12. > :08:16.patchy frost tomorrow. In Northern Ireland by the end of the night

:08:17. > :08:19.heavier and more organised showers arriving and they will push across

:08:20. > :08:24.into Scotland and the far north of England. Heavy and thundery rain

:08:25. > :08:26.possible for the morning rush hour of Northern Ireland and not looking

:08:27. > :08:32.too clever for Scotland or Northern England. The snow will be mostly

:08:33. > :08:37.over 400 metres but a mixture of rain, sleet and snow as low-down as

:08:38. > :08:42.200 metres for a few hours before 9am, but after that, they should

:08:43. > :08:43.tend to retreat into showers of rain. Further south, clear skies and

:08:44. > :08:45.a bit
