:00:00. > :00:00.significant `` end of the season. I will be back at 10:15pm. Now for the

:00:00. > :00:19.news where you are. Good evening and welcome to BBC

:00:20. > :00:22.London news. With the cost of studying at university in the

:00:23. > :00:24.capital hitting more than ?23,000 a year, increasing numbers of students

:00:25. > :00:27.are considering studying abroad. Today more than 50 universities from

:00:28. > :00:30.around the world took part in an exhibition at the Emirates Stadium

:00:31. > :00:40.to try and lure London's school leavers. Emma North reports.

:00:41. > :00:43.London's reputation for attracting young people is unrivalled. The

:00:44. > :00:46.capital is exciting and offer some of the world's best universities.

:00:47. > :00:54.Why would hundreds of teenagers come here and is `` on a Saturday? These

:00:55. > :01:00.young women are ambitious. They want to be dentists, economists, and

:01:01. > :01:05.staying in London is not an option. Why limit yourself when you can go

:01:06. > :01:09.abroad to the Netherlands or France or America West and mark it gives us

:01:10. > :01:14.an opportunity to experience other cultures and it looks good when you

:01:15. > :01:17.are applying for jobs in the future. Some of the world's best

:01:18. > :01:25.universities are here. They offer good degrees. The mentality is

:01:26. > :01:29.changing. When it comes to education or studying abroad. Initially it

:01:30. > :01:33.seemed the Brits were not looking abroad to do their education. But

:01:34. > :01:38.now with tuition fees being so high, people are forced to look elsewhere.

:01:39. > :01:44.Money as a key topic. It costs around ?23,000 to live and study in

:01:45. > :01:50.London every year. Many foreign universities say that using them can

:01:51. > :01:54.be cheaper. If a university abroad offered student loans, I would go

:01:55. > :02:00.there. Fees are very high and it is hard to get the money. When you

:02:01. > :02:06.leave university, you have a massive loan. These are an important factor

:02:07. > :02:08.to consider. Something academic bodies dispute. Universities UK

:02:09. > :02:31.said... Today was just a chance to ask

:02:32. > :02:35.questions and get some freebies, but if the pool of foreign adventure

:02:36. > :02:38.combines with the push of high prices, one morning at eight

:02:39. > :02:47.career's fare could shape the future. `` the pool.

:02:48. > :02:51.The life stories of young homeless people have been used as inspiration

:02:52. > :02:53.for new street art in East London. A charity has commissioned graffiti

:02:54. > :02:57.artists to create murals in Dalston and Shoreditch to raise money. Lara

:02:58. > :02:59.Joannides has been to see how it works.

:03:00. > :03:03.It is a common sight in parts of London. Here in Shoreditch it is

:03:04. > :03:10.around every corner. One homeless charity is using street art to wear

:03:11. > :03:18.those `` to raise awareness and money. This is a mural part of a

:03:19. > :03:22.charity to keep young children off the streets. It tells the true story

:03:23. > :03:28.of a young person who found themselves with nowhere to live. All

:03:29. > :03:33.of the artists involved volunteered their time and talent to create the

:03:34. > :03:39.works. Homelessness is often overlooked, especially in a city

:03:40. > :03:41.like London which is so amazing and forward`thinking and futuristic. It

:03:42. > :03:49.is hard to imagine there are people in the same city who do not have

:03:50. > :03:59.anywhere to go or anyone to call on. The murals are also online where you

:04:00. > :04:02.can buy part of the image. These stories are not new. Youth

:04:03. > :04:06.homelessness has been a problem in the capital for many years.

:04:07. > :04:10.According to the latest figures, the number of young people sleeping

:04:11. > :04:15.rough in the city has doubled since 2010. We work with about 1000 young

:04:16. > :04:19.people in the year. London is a place young people are drawn to,

:04:20. > :04:24.thinking the streets are paved with gold. At the same time, the

:04:25. > :04:29.provision that is made for them is less than it was because of benefit

:04:30. > :04:34.cuts and cuts in spending by local authorities. Charities are needing

:04:35. > :04:36.to plug the gap. The works are as vulnerable to the outdoors as the

:04:37. > :04:39.young people they are trying to help. While they may not last, it is

:04:40. > :04:46.hoped their message will. The weather now and showers will

:04:47. > :04:49.continue and through the evening and overnight. It'll be cold too with

:04:50. > :04:52.the risk of frost as the temperature reaches a low of freezing overnight.

:04:53. > :04:55.Tomorrow we could see hail and thunder as the mix of sunshine and

:04:56. > :04:57.showers continues. That's it for now. We're back tomorrow evening,

:04:58. > :05:28.just before 7pm. The Wind a lot showers around at the

:05:29. > :05:35.moment, still hale and thunder too. As we turn the wind north-westerly,

:05:36. > :05:39.these areas will bear the brunt of the showers overnight. A chilly

:05:40. > :05:47.night, a touch of frost in rural areas. A few showers first thing.

:05:48. > :05:51.Sunshine too. Cloud will bubble up and showers will develop in England

:05:52. > :05:56.and Wales. The main focus in the afternoon is an eastern areas.

:05:57. > :05:59.Across Wales and the south-west, very few showers all day. The

:06:00. > :06:03.north-westerly wind lines the showers up in the afternoon. East

:06:04. > :06:04.Anglia and parts
