:00:00. > :00:11.us, it is time for the news where you are.

:00:12. > :00:15.Good evening and welcome to BBC London.

:00:16. > :00:18.A Government minister says he would support an appeal against a court's

:00:19. > :00:22.decision to block the extradition of a convicted mafia boss to Italy.

:00:23. > :00:27.Domenico Rancadore had been living in Uxbridge under an assumed name.

:00:28. > :00:30.He was the subject of a European Arrest Warrant earlier this week but

:00:31. > :00:37.some politicians are unhappy with the system.

:00:38. > :00:44.He lived undisturbed in this suburban street for 20 years, and

:00:45. > :00:49.this week, Domenico Rancadore won the right to stay here even longer.

:00:50. > :00:52.A court refused a European arrest warrant because the telling him to

:00:53. > :00:58.an overcrowded Italian jail would have preached his human rights. It

:00:59. > :01:04.sums up how absurd the European arrest warrant is, that this country

:01:05. > :01:11.will not extradite somebody who is a convicted individual. Every Italian

:01:12. > :01:17.prosecutor will say, my lord, next time I try to get somebody a prison

:01:18. > :01:23.sentence, a fellow EU member said our prisons are too dangerous. One

:01:24. > :01:27.minister says he supports an appeal. Assurances can be given, this does

:01:28. > :01:33.not mean we cannot extradite people to Italy. The focus is on working

:01:34. > :01:37.that through, which is what the CPS and the Italian authorities will do,

:01:38. > :01:43.so we can see that these warrants are upheld. This man was deported to

:01:44. > :01:48.Greece aged 18, accused of killing a man in a nightclub. It took two

:01:49. > :01:53.years for him to fight the case and clear his name, one of them was

:01:54. > :01:59.spent in prison. Many members will the Corby case of Andrew. The

:02:00. > :02:03.government says it recognises that in Andrew's case, something went

:02:04. > :02:07.wrong. They changed to the law means people can only be extradited to

:02:08. > :02:16.face trial abroad in future but not to face an investigation. Andrew is

:02:17. > :02:24.not convinced. In my case, they claimed it, but do can not work with

:02:25. > :02:29.them at all. It is a significant change. I am sure there is more we

:02:30. > :02:33.can do at a European level, that we can continue to challenge on the

:02:34. > :02:37.overall framework. It is something the European Parliament is getting

:02:38. > :02:40.its teeth into. It is recognised that the warrant has helped in the

:02:41. > :02:43.cross`border fight against crime. Around 100 Asian women had their

:02:44. > :02:47.first taste of football yesterday when Luton Town invited them to

:02:48. > :02:50.their match against Chester. It's part of a drive to improve

:02:51. > :02:52.relationships with the local community. And the club might just

:02:53. > :03:09.have gained a few new fans. Most of these women who live

:03:10. > :03:13.locally, it is the first time they have been near a football match. I

:03:14. > :03:19.am nervous, but not by what will happen. It is quite intimidating, to

:03:20. > :03:25.hear about hooligans, but because it is a big group of us, we are OK. The

:03:26. > :03:29.day has been organised by the National Asians in football forum,

:03:30. > :03:34.which says the sport needs to do more to make women like this feel

:03:35. > :03:37.welcome. It is about looking at the misconceptions that this community

:03:38. > :03:40.has about football and what supporters have about this

:03:41. > :03:46.community, and I hope it will be a sharing experience. Commercially,

:03:47. > :03:51.they form a significant part of the demographic of Luton. The numbers

:03:52. > :03:56.attending are relatively small, we want to increase that, because we

:03:57. > :04:01.want to increase our revenues. It is a great atmosphere, it is unified.

:04:02. > :04:08.The atmosphere is awesome, everybody is cheering. The songs that they are

:04:09. > :04:11.sinking, it is quite good. It is their first time at the football,

:04:12. > :04:17.they have been a bit confused about some of the songs they have heard,

:04:18. > :04:18.so we are teaching them the words. The organisers want this much to be

:04:19. > :04:32.the first of many for these funds. It is try and clear for the rest of

:04:33. > :04:37.the night tonight, a cold and frosty start tomorrow. The temperatures

:04:38. > :04:44.dropping just below freezing away from the towns. For tomorrow

:04:45. > :04:49.morning, it is dry, with lots of sunshine. Cloud for the afternoon.

:04:50. > :04:51.The temperatures are below average for the time of year. Outbreaks of

:04:52. > :04:55.rain at times. And that's all from us. We'll be

:04:56. > :04:57.back in Breakfast from 6am tomorrow morning, but from the late team,

:04:58. > :05:13.have a very good night. Today's showers have almost gone

:05:14. > :05:16.from eastern areas, it will be a classic radiation night, clear

:05:17. > :05:23.skies, light winds, temperatures tumbling. The night could still get

:05:24. > :05:27.down to -6 in rural Scotland and northern England, the coldest it has

:05:28. > :05:32.been for quite a few months. It will not be as cold elsewhere. Cloud

:05:33. > :05:36.arrives ahead of the weather front, which brings rain from the Atlantic

:05:37. > :05:42.to western parts of the UK. Further east, it will be dry. Quite a bit of

:05:43. > :05:49.sunshine, so a good-looking day across Scotland. Western areas

:05:50. > :05:50.tending to cloud over later. It will cloud over quickly in Northern
